Chapter 1: The Evil Team Up and Capture

The Black Pyramid, an ancient monument dedicated the will of evil! On the planet of Third Earth. It was here that the evil devil priest Mumm-Ra resided and planned a never ending campaign of evil against all those who were on the forces of good.

MUMM-RA!’

Slowly the sarcophagus opened up as a disheveled and thoroughly pathetic looking figure wrapped from head to toe in bandages covered only by a red ripped cloak made his way to the center of the tomb where a bubbling cauldron laid.

“You summoned me, ancient spirits of Evil!” He looked up at the fore statues that covered each corner of the Pyramid as their eyes lit up and fired a bolt of energy into the cauldron causing it to burst into flames.

"The forces of good continues to spread, not only does a threat to our power lie within this very planet but worlds beyond threaten our eternal rule."

“W-What...What are these forces evil ones...How will I know them, when I see them.”

"Look into the cauldron Mumm-Ra….and we will show you the latest threat to the forces of evil...BEHOLD!"

Mumm-Ra looked within the cauldron and saw a land of lush grass and blue flowing rivers, much like the rest of third earth it seemed peaceful and tranquil but it lacked a certain aura of evil that Mumm-Ra was so used to of his home world. “What is this world ancient ones? What do I see before me?”

"This! Mumm-Ra...Is the world known as EQUESTRIA! Land of the ancient race...THE PONES!"

“P-Ponies? Evil ones?”

"The Ponies of Equestria! A race and society formed around the concept of...Friendship!"

“And how? How? Does this FRIENDSHIP! Affect our rule Evil ones?”

"FOOL! If that Friendship spreads beyond its borders...then it could reach Third Earth...Then our power here will wither and weaken!"

“Then...I will destroy the Friendship of Equestria! But how?”

“That will not be an easy task, for there is an ancient mystical tree known as the tree of harmony that resides in equestria. This tree holds the most powerful artifacts known to Equestria, the elements of harmony, six gems that represent honesty, kindness, laughter, generosity, loyalty, and magic. These elements were once used to defeat the mighty discord spirit of chaos and disharmony. They were wielded by the immortal pony sisters Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. But when Princess Celestia use them against her sister when she became Nightmare Moon, the elements then became disconnected from the two sisters. It was then they chose new bearers who did not come into being until almost 1000 years from Nightmare Moons banishment. The new wielders were able to defeat many a great evil and now these wielders have become the Council of friendship."

After the Ancient Spirits of evil said this Mumm-Ra pondered over this, his mind raced with all sorts of schemes and plots. “These pony princesses seem as ancient as I….as well as these powers. I predict that much like the Sword of Omens they cannot be wielded by evil’s touch. But! Perhaps….perhaps maybe...if a council was formed...a council...can be broken. ANCIENT SPIRITS OF EVIL! Show me the names of this Council of Friendship! I must have more information so that I may fulfill your evil wish!”

"Very well...As said before the council is made of the former bears of the Elements of Harmony….The Leader of this band of good, is an Alicorn Named Twilight Sparkle, student to the Princess of the sun who wielded the Element of Friendship! As for sheer loyalty you look to Rainbow Dash, brash, and arrogant at times but never one to betray her friends. Now we turn to Kindness a weak and pathetic Pegasus named Fluttershy ….BUT! She is unique among them for she is friend with the former Spirit of Chaos, by the name of Discord.”

“BAH! I have faced several imps in the past...and I DEFEATED THEM ALL!”

"Now we move to honesty, the local farmer and peasant Applejack whose family has produced fresh fruit for the kingdom for eons! If generosity is what you seek then perhaps the unicorn Rarity! And Finally! We have! Laughter! The self-proclaimed Pony of Parties….Pinkie Pie! She is an unpredictable one...do not let her stupidity fool you!"

Mumm-Ra looked upon his new enemies through the cauldron a sneer wrapped around his face. “Laughter, Honesty, Generosity, Kindness, Loyalty and Friendship, these attribute are just as weak and pathetic as the code of Thundera used by the Thundercats themselves….If these two had ever met and become allies, then perhaps they could destroy...me! I will not allow this to happen my power is ETERNAL!” Then suddenly an idea propped up in Mumm-Ra’s head. “But...maybe….maybe they don’t have to be allies...he he he. Ancient one’s has there been any history between the Ponies of Equestria and the Thundercats of old!”

"No...No Thunderian noble or peasant has arrived or made contact with any Equestrian."

“Then they do not know each other.” Mumm-Ra got a wicked grin. “Now! I will head to this Equestria! And begin some...reconciles to learn about my enemy! And to Destroy them! MA MUTT"

Suddenly a horrible rabid dog arrived running towards his master. “Prepare the Mumm-Raft Ma Mutt...We must prepare ourselves"

"WAIT! Mumm-RA….If you are going to head to this new realm. You will need allies...Look into the cauldron once more!"

Mumm-Ra looked into the cauldron to see a horrid bug looking creature. “W-Who is this monstrosity evil ones?”

"This is Queen Chrysalis...Leader of a race known as the Changelings...They will be able to aid you in this world conquest. With yours and their combine power! You will be UNSTOPPABLE!”

“Then….I will do as you command evil ones….This planet will fall before our feet! And an era of PERFECT EVIL! Will REIGN SUPREME!” With that Mumm-Ra walked to his space vessel the Ma-Rutt and entered its bone fie tomb as Ma-Mutt activated the engines and with the dark powers they were off to the new land known as Equestria.

Mumm-Ra slowly walked along the green grassy plains the soft twigs touching his decayed feet, it disgusted him greatly. Ma-Mutt walked beside him. “So...Ma-Mutt, this...Is Equestria, what a miserable backwater world. BUT...Soon it will crumble beneath our feet.” Mumm-Ra continued to look around. “First before we begin we must establish some sort of base of operations to insure our victory.” Mumm-Ra then saw an entrance to an underground cave hidden within the mountain side. “That...Will have to do.” Mumm-Ra and Ma-Mutt entered the drafty cave, the rock was steady enough as not to collapse on them and dark enough that the bright light of the sun wouldn’t not interfere with their vision.

“Yes….Yes….This will be...Perfect…….” Mumm-Ra unleashed his hands and all his magical energies spread through them. “ANCIENT SPIRITS OF EVIL...CREATE FOR ME...MY MAGICAL CAULDRON SO THAT I CAN EXECUTE YOUR WICKED WISHES!” Suddenly the rocks began to glow an aura of red until and form and move until they formed the four animal statues found in Mumm-Ra pyramid and in the center a black cauldron, along with a skull chamber with a sarcophagus in it. The perfect replica of Mumm-Ra’s pyramid. “Now...cauldron….Show me the lair...of the changeling queen!”

The Changeling castle was far off from most of Equestrian society in an area known as the badlands a place where most ponies didn’t go for a numerous many reason, but it was here that Mumm-Ra found himself seeking an audience with a Queen, a Queen of the Changelings.

Mumm-Ra still in his decayed form as not to rouse suspicion walked slowly up to the gates of the castle. “Queen Chrysalis hear me! Mumm-Ra! SUMMONS YOU FORTH for an audience!”

“Who are you to have such insolence as to think you could command Me.! Be gone or I shall have my army destroyed you,” Queen Chrysalis said to the rotting corpse.

Mumm-Ra burst out in a high pitch malevolent castle. “Then you have not heard of the power of MUMM-RA AHHAHAHAAHAHAHA!”

“The Queens of the past have heard of you and I have their knowledge. But they overestimate your power. I however do not share their weak minded thinking,” Queen Chrysalis said with a sneer.

Mumm-Ra burst out laughing again. “THEN...You shall have but a fragment of my ….UNLIMITED POWER!” With a small flick of his finger Mumm-Ra shattered the front gate to Chrysalis castle and slowly walked in. “And that, was merely child's play.

“Please a simple unicorn could have done that if you are truly as powerful as the legends say fight 100 of my soldiers then we will talk,” Queen Chrysalis said as 100 changelings swarmed Mumm-Ra.

Mumm-Ra burst out cackling. “I can achieve that with this one...bony...finger.” Raising his one bony finger all of Mumm-Ra magical might began to seep out through it in the form of lighting and zapped each and every one of the changeling soldiers turning it into dust. “Now...Do you still doubt my power?”

“It seems that the legends do not exaggerate at all to be able to summon lightning, to wield the very elements of nature themselves is no small feat,” Queen Chrysalis said as she flew down from the highest tower. “What does one such as yourself want with me?” she asked as she approached Mumm-Ra.

“Ah! While my ability to control the elements if vast and great….I am not able to control ALL the elements….You will of course no of...The Elements of Harmony.”

“They are not all-powerful my changeling Army was able to defeat their bearers,” Queen Chrysalis said with a sneer.

“And yet you do not rule Equestria! Thus! In the end, they must have brought about your defeat!”

“I would’ve ruled all of Equestria had that pathetic unicorn not brought the true Princess Cadence to the wedding. I had meant to replace Princess Luna but my spy had mixed up their rooms and I had already revealed myself to the so-called Princess of love not knowing she was not the Princess I was seeking,” Queen Chrysalis said to Mumm-Ra

Mumm-Ra pondered this for a moment clearly she was much more competent then the other forces of evil he was forced to associate himself with, perhaps...just perhaps...a plan could be formed. “So...you can change into any form you see fit, even one of these realms rulers?”

“It seems I’m have to show you my true abilities for you to suspend your disbelief,” Queen Chrysalis said as green flames enveloped her body causing her to change. As the green flames died down there stood an exact replica of Princess Luna, down to her Cutie Mark and wavy eternal mane. “Does this now impress thee?” Queen Chrysalis said perfectly in Princess Luna’s voice.

Mumm-Ra looked impressed for once. “Quite a unique ability, very few people have it. Of course I MUMM-RA possess the ability of TRANSFORMATION! As well.

“If thy have such ability then prove thy worth,” Queen Chrysalis said still imitating Princess Luna.

Mumm-Ra chuckled at this challenge. “Very well...you will see my power then...much to your sorrow.” Mumm-Ra spread his arms the sky began to darken clouds swirled over it as the wind blow ferociously even within the castle walls, lighting struck as Mumm-Ra began the incantation. “ANCIENT SPIRITS OF EVIL…….TRANSFORM THIS DECAYED FORM ….TO MUMM-RA! THE EVER LIVING!” Suddenly Mumm-Ra form changed, no longer was he a bona fide mummy but now a fully-fledged warrior of old.

“Very impressive, but thine has not shown much at all,” Queen Chrysalis said still doubting Mumm-Ra.

Mumm-Ra burst out laughing. “Very well...I will take on the form of my greatest enemy….Lion-O...Lord of the Thundercats. ANCIENT SPIRITS OF EVIL...GIVE ME THE BODILY FORM OF LION-O LORD OF THE THUNDERCATS! HAAHAHAHHAHA” Suddenly Mumm-Ra began to change no longer was he a Mummy but a feline humanoid warrior. “Now...Does that impress you?” Mumm-Ra said harshly in Lion-O voice.

“Thine transformation doth impress me. But it is still not as well rounded as thy transformation. Thou still has a harshness to thy voice,” Queen Chrysalis said as she observed the transformation and ending.

“True but for what I wish to do, the Transformation is perfect enough for my needs.” Mumm-Ra said.

“What do thy have in mind?” Queen chrysalis asked.

Mumm-Ra rid himself of his disguise before explaining the plan. “First before I explain, are you capable of taking the form of the Princess of the Sun...Celestia.”

“What you ask is child’s play,” Queen Chrysalis said out of Princess Luna’s character. The green flames of transformation enveloped her body and when the flames died down there stood an exact copy of Princess Celestia. “How can I help you my little pony,” Queen Chrysalis said in Celestia’s gentle voice.

Mumm-Ra burst out in laughter. “PERFECT! With our abilities of Transformation, we will be able to enact a war between my enemies the Thundercats and your enemies...The Ponies of Equestria HAAHAHAHAHHA!”

“And how will this occur?” Queen Chrysalis said in Celestia’s voice.

“Simple! Using our abilities we will be able trick our enemies into believing that the other is on the side of evil. ”Mumm-Ra told Queen Chrysalis.

“How so?” Queen Chrysalis wondered.

“We will capture the one closest to them in the guise of Celestia and Lion-O making them believe the other is evil...thus having the two sides rush to the rescue of the other. Causing a clash of the ages.”

“But Twilight Sparkle is too well known in Ponyville for her to be taken,” Queen Chrysalis explained to Mumm-Ra.

Mumm-Ra burst out laughing again. “Who said we were going to kidnap Twilight Sparkle! What better way to grab the attention of the Princess of the Sun by taking her sister...The Princess of the moon.”

“Brilliant. But who am I to kidnap. I know next to nothing about these Thundercats. Who is the closest to Lion-o,” Chrysalis asked Mumm-ra.

“While Lion-O cherishes each and every one of his friends as his equal, the one who is considered his Second in Command is the eldest of them, the one they call Tygra!”

“And where would I find this Tygra?” Queen chrysalis asked.

“In a mighty fortress on my home on Third Earth known as, Cats lair!”

“Then he is well guarded then,” Queen Chrysalis observed.

“Not when he is out gathering samples of the local fauna for his scientific endeavors.”

“And afterwards when both are captured. What then?” asked Queen Chrysalis.

“We watch the Ponies and Thundercats destroy each other...then! We attack both Third Earth and Equestria….conquer it...and then...PLUNDER IT! HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHA!”

“We have an accord then oh mighty Mumm-Ra” Queen Chrysalis said to Mumm-Ra.

“Yes...We have...an ACCORD!” Mumm-Ra cackled.

Mid-morning had come, and Tygra one of the great warriors known as the Thundercats began one his mid-morning expeditions into the forest to observe the local flora and fauna of the planet. The Tiger took notes as he saw of the flowers begin to bloom as the sun touched their pedals. However this tranquility was interrupted by the screams of despair.

“Help me! Somebody please Help Me!” a female voice cried out in despair.

“By Jaga! What is that?” Tygra leapt into action and ran to the screams of despair, to find a unicorn trapped in a net. “Hang on I’ll help you.” Tygra got out his bolo whip and used it to break the net out without harming the creature trapped inside. Strange...I don’t recall unicorns talking ever before.

“Please help me. I was just minding my own business taking a walk and this net suddenly enveloped me,” said the white unicorn

“That’s terrible, however I do not recall your kind ever able to speak in the past.” Tygra commented.

“My kind? You mean there are other alicorns on this world? I came to this world looking for food for my people. The Ponies of Equestria are desperate. Our lands are barren of food” said white alicorn.

“Alicorns? I never seen your kind before on Third Earth?” Tygra responded sounding curious.

“Please help me. There is some sort of magic in this net that keeps me from using my magic,” said the alicorn.

“Hold on. I can help. I am Tygra of the Thundercats.” Tygra got to the net and tried to pull it off of the alicorn. “Okay...There we go.” Tygra got of the net. “You are free.”

“Thank you. Now I know my people will have plenty to eat the loving and kindness of the people of this land will fill the bellies of my people for all eternity. You should be thankful you have served Princess Celestia so well,” the Princess said as a green light enveloped her horn and a ray of light from her horn shot and hit Tygra causing him to hit one of the tree.

“What...A trap! But why?”

“My people are starving, as one of the four princesses of Equestria I need to find food for my subjects. We feed off of the love that other beings feel. Do not worry. We’ll make sure to put you and your people into a beautiful dream from which you will never wake up,” Princess Celestia said to Tygra as she fanned out her wings.

Tygra got back into a position to defend. “Well I’m afraid I am no body’s dinner.” With a fling of his whip he turned himself invisible as to launch a sneak attack.

“What a foalish mistake. Trying to sneak up on me. I can see your magic,” Princess Celestia said as her horn glowed green causing a light to envelop the clearing and reveal Tygra.

“Ugh.” Tygra flung back again as he was hit the magical beams the pain was intense but he was a Thundercat, he wouldn’t be struck down so easily. Using his whip again he tried to knock down on the branches of the tree to hit the creature, it succeeded but only enough to bruise her.

“Clever, but not clever enough,” Princess Celestia said as she took flight.

Tygra looked up as Celestia swooped down on him striking him again but now he found himself in the air until he landed into the water of a swift moving river, try as he might he could not reach the surface to get air and went unconscious.

“As simple as Mumm-Ra told me,” Princess Celestia as she used her magic to draw Tygra out of the river. As soon as she had Tygra out of the river she teleported to the black pyramid. Once there green flames enveloped her form revealing Queen Chrysalis. She then put Tygra into one of two nearby cages. “Mission accomplished my partner in evil,” Queen Chrysalis said to Mumm-Ra.

Mumm-Ra cackled with malevolent glee. ‘Perfect! One down….One….More...To go! HAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAH!”

Princess Luna was walking around in the everfree forest. She had just finished helping one of the young foals in ponyville overcome their nightmares and now was taking a break before she moved on to the next foal’s dreams. Suddenly she heard a heavy crashing sound coming back from reality, near her old castle. She spread her wings and took flight to see what the commotion was. Luna flew down to the old Castle of the Two Sisters to see some sort of cat like creature roaming its abandoned halls, she went in to investigate. “What are you doing here strange creature,” Princess Lena said cautiously

The cat creature looked up at Luna. “I am Lion-O lord of the Thundercats, I have come here seeking shelter.” The cat said in a harsh voice.

“If it is shelter thy seek shelter then I shall lead you to the town of Ponyville. Princess Twilight Sparkle will be able to house you in her castle for the night. Then you will come with me to Canterlot to see my sister,” Princess Lena said to Lion-o as she flew closer to him so she could lead him out of the everfree forest.

“I thank you for your assistance in my travels.” The cat said. “But I must ask, where I am, I am not used to this land.”

“Thou are in the land of Equestria. This is the castle that once housed my sister and I 1000 years ago. Near here is the Tree of Harmony which houses the Elements of Harmony,” Princess Luna explained to Lion-o.

“The Elements of Harmony?” Lion-O said. “I have searched for those Elements to help me defeat an evil force from my land named Mumm-Ra the Ever Living.”

“I am afraid you cannot take the elements for they have bonded with others. They are now needed to restore the Tree of Harmony’s magic. But the tree gave the bearers of the elements new powers so they might be able to help you defeat this evil you speak of,” Princess Luna said to Lion-o.

“I thank you for assistance.” Lion-O said giving a small bow as the two of them headed out of the castle and onto the pathway out of the forest. The two walked together for a few feet before Lion-O though he saw a glimmer in the deep trenches of the woods. “I-I think I saw something important to me.”

“What is so important that we must make a detour?” Princess Luna asked curiously.

“The Sword of Omens, a powerful weapon that aids me against the never ending battle against evil. I lost it when I arrived on this planet.” Lion-O headed off into the woods to search for the sword.

“Colts and their toys. Even after a 1000 years stallions still think that weapons are the epitome of showing their masculinity,” Princess Luna said with a sigh as she followed Lion-o through the woods.

They continued to go deeper into the woods for a few feet each step they took, took them off farther and farther from the pathway than before until finally they stopped, and Lion-O picked up a sword a gold one with two headed serpents either side on it with two blades sticking out from each end.

“Is that thy sword young Lion-o,” Princess Luna asked not liking the look of the twin bladed sword.

“Yes, it is……...and it shall be YOUR DOOM!” Lion-O started twirl the sword as it engulfed itself in flames striking Luna down.

Princess Luna let out a shriek in pain as the sword struck her. But quickly she was able to right herself and take flight again. “A trick. I will not let this go unpunished,” Princess Luna said as her horn was enveloped blue magic as she began to fire beams of magic at Lion-o.

“UGH...You will pay for your insolence! I will destroy the Elements of Harmony but not before I destroy you!” Lion-O charged with the sword and began his assault.

“I will die before I let you destroy the Elements of Harmony!” Princess Luna shouted in the Royal Canterlot Voice as she continued her assault. She continued to fly around Lion-o shooting beams of magic but also trying to avoid attacks from the sword.

“You will not defeat me the LORD of the THUNDERCATS!” Lion-O shouted as he continued his unwavering assault on her.

“I will protect my subjects from beings like you,” Princess Luna shouted as she continued to shoot beams of magic at Lion-o. But using magic and flying around while avoiding the sword was taking its toll on Luna’s body. She began to slightly slow down running out of breath.

“You begin to tire.” Lion-O taunted. “Now I will make the final blow.”

Realizing that she was outmatched Princess Luna sent a dream image of Lion-o’s attack to her sister before she fell unconscious.

“Yes...Send for help, little Pony….But it will do you no good in the end.” Lion-O taunted to Luna seeing the image getting sent.
Finally Lion-O arrived at the Black Pyramid, only to be engulfed by magical energies to return to his true form of Mumm-Ra the ever living. “MUHAHAHAHAHA! Now...The trap is set...The two hostages have been taken...Let the war between cat and pony...he he ha...BEGIN!”

Princess Celestia woke up at the gasp after seeing the image Princess Luna sent her being attacked by some cat like creature in the Everfree forest only to be taken by it on some sort of flying vehicle. “Guards wake the rest of the ranks. My sister has been taken. Send word to Princess Cadence and Shining Armor I will need them to guard Canterlot while I and the elements of harmony go to war. Stay strong Luna I will not lose you again my sister,” Princess Celestia said with a tear in her eye.

Chapter 2: Magic, Strength, Weakness, and Chaos

Morning came to Ponyville, the sun beaming it’s light through the windows of the newest instalment to town Twilight’s Treehouse Castle. Slowly Princess Twilight Sparkle awoke still tired after last night’s book recognizing by page number. She took a deep yawn.

“Good morning Spike.” She said looking down to see her number one assistant dragon still snoring heavily in his bed basket.

“Why yes Rarity...I would like a vanilla shake.” Twilight just giggled shaking her head. She got up to open a window to see the lovely sky.

“Ah what a nice day.” She said. “Good day for some more organization.”

Spike continued snoring until he started gagging on something. “Ugh...Hey what...ACK! BURP” He then spit out a letter.

“A letter from Princess Celestia this early?” Twilight asked taking it.

“Doesn’t the princess know of sleeping in.” Spike moaned as he closed his eyes again. Twilight just read the letter and then immediately woke Spike up. “Wake up Spike! This is an emergency!”

“What!” Spike jumped up. “W-What happened.”

“Princess Luna’s been kidnapped!”

“SAY WHAT!” The rest of Twilight’s friends arrived looking shocked and horrified by this latest news of events.

“Apparently Princess Luna’s been kidnapped by some sort of mysterious creature in the everfree forest Princess Celestia wants to help with the investigation.” Twilight said to the group.

“Alright! Some monsters butt to kick.” Rainbow Dash exclaimed sounding excited.

“Rainbow Dash this is serious!” Twilight exclaimed getting annoyed.

“Sorry...But still monster flank kicking does sound awesome.” RD proclaimed.

“Well….Anyway...We should start at the Everfree Forest.” Twilight explained.

“Twilight Sparkle, the great and powerful Trixie requested an audience with you,” a shot was heard from outside the castle.

“Trixie?” Twilight said looking outside to see Trixie standing outside her castle doors. She opened the door. “Um...Hey Trixie, been a while.”

“Yes, Trixie knows. But Trixie is learning the ways being humble,” the light blue unicorn said.

“And yet still speaks in the third person.” RD whispered.

“The Great and Powerful Trixie! Has seen the Princess Luna get captured by a monster!” Trixie exclaimed.

“You saw SOMETHING!” Twilight screamed. “Tell me!”

“Well……” Trixie explained how this strange cat like character attacked the Princess with a doubled bladed sword of flames.

“Cat creature?” Twilight asked. “I’ve only read books of some types of cat creatures but never like this.”

“Well that is what Trixie saw.” Trixie explained.

The mane six looked at each other. “Hmm….Wonder what this cat creature is?” said Applejack

“Oh...I know.” Fluttershy said smiling. “Maybe Discord knows, he knows a lot about all sort of ancient creatures. He’s been around long enough.”

“Hey where is that wacko anyway.” Rainbow Dash asked.

Meanwhile on third Earth

Cat's Lair...a mighty fortress that was built alongside a mountain in the shape of a cat. This was the home of the greatest heroes of Third Earth, the Thundercats!

Cheetara was on Monitor duty and Lion-o Lord of the Thundercats had come to replace her and take his shift at Monitor duty

“Everything looks good so far Lion-o,” said Cheetara as she turn to face Lion-o.

“No sign of Mumm-Ra, the Mutants, or the Lunatacs?” asked the young lord

“Everything seems peaceful on third earth,” Cheetara said as she got up but then the alarm went off. It was one of the Unicorn Keepers.

“Strange...she seems a bit uneasy.” Cheetara commented

“We should go see what’s wrong,” Lion-o said then both Thundercats left the control room to meet with the unicorn keeper.

“Brave Thundercats one of your own has been captured by a strange unicorn like creature with wings,” the female unicorn keeper said once the others were in the Council Chamber.

“What! Who!” Lion-O said looking shocked.

“She calls herself Princess Celestia and she and her people of Equestria feed off the love of other creatures. They plan to invade third Earth and she took Tygra!” explained the Unicorn Keeper.

“Tygra!” Lion-O said sounding shocked.

“Strange...I’ve never heard of such a creature before.” Cheetara said sounding puzzled and concerned.

“Where is this Equestria?” Lion-O asked

“I do not know. But there is a legend of a magic mirror that will allow a person to ask it one question and one question only and it will show the answer but after the question is answered it disappears to another location,” said the Unicorn Keeper.

“And where could we find this mirror.” Lion-O asked in an urgent tone.

“On the edge of the Forest of Mists in the deepest part of the woods of Darkside there is a cave that is guarded by a stone golem guardian. If you can prove your heart is pure the guardian will let you pass, “the Unicorn Keeper said.

Lion-O and Cheetara looked at each. “Cheetara find the others, we need to get to the Forest of Mists and find this mirror to save our friend from these Equestrians.”

“Good luck Thundercats,” the unicorn keepers said as she watched them run off.

An hour later Lynx-o, Lion-o, Cheetara, Bengali, Snarf, and Pumyra were riding in the Thunderstrike heading towards the Forest of Mist.

“Forest of Mist dead ahead. Are you ready Lynx-O.?” Lion-O said.

“Ready Lion-O.” Lynx O said as he was ready to take control of the ship with the braille board. The ship began to maneuver its way through the forest insuring it didn’t hit the narrow rocks and caverns that were all closed in to one another.

“We're almost out of the area and heading into DarkSide.” Lynx-O replied.

“Stay on the lookout for a wooded area near when we exit. The unicorn keeper said that the cave would be there,” Lion-o instructed the others.

“Lion-O I think I see it. Look.” Cheetara pointed out to a small wooded area near the edge of the mist just below one of the mountain ledges.

“Takes us down Lynx-O.”

Lynx-O took the Thunderstrike down to the area still at the very edge of the mist then everyone exited the Thunderstrike.

“We’ll split up to cover more ground. Cheetara, Lynx-o take the west area, Bengali, Pumyra take the east area, Snarf and I shall search the north area. If anyone finds the cave radio for the others and wait,” Lion-o said to the others. The Thundercats then split up into pairs and started searching for the cave.

“SNARF SNARF...Geez Lion-O what does this guardian even look like?” asked Snarf

“I don’t know Snarf, I guess we’ll find out when we meet him.” Lion-O replied.

They kept looking around the area trying to find some sort of clue or something to find this mirror and guardian. Soon they came across a cave that had sharp spikes on the ground and the roof of the entrance that seem to be like sharp teeth.

“Brr, I don’t like this,” Snarf said

“Come on Snarf. We have to find that mirror to save Tygra.” Lion-O said.

Suddenly stone tentacles shot out from deep inside the cave and grabbed Snarf and quickly pulled him inside the cave.

“LION-O!” Snarf yelled as he was pulled towards the inside the cave

“Snarf!” Lion-O ran after his friend drawing the Sword of Omens from his hand and begins to strike the stone vines. But for every vine he broke two more took their place until they were able to lift Snarf completely off the ground and into the cave.

“Snarf!” Lion-O followed the sound of Snarf’s voice into the cave until he found Snarf pinned to a wall in stone tentacle cocoon tried to grab hold of Snaff to try and rescue him from the vines clutches. “Don’t worry Snarf, I’ll pull you out.” Lion pulled on the cocoon tried to get it off the main tentacles. Drawing the sword of omens Lion-o began chipping away the base of the main stone tentacle until it broke away allowing Lion-o to break the smaller tentacles and free Snarf easier. Then Lion-o was able to take a good look at the cave they were in. There was green lichen all around that gave the cave an eerie glow but allow them to see in the dark. Close to where Snarf was being held there was a small passageway that seem to lead to a bigger area.

“Where do you think it leads Lion-O?” asked Snarf.

“I don’t know Snarf but hopefully closer to the mirror. I saw we follow it.” They head in the direction the pathway lead. Deeper and deeper they headed into the cave hoping to find either the guardian or the mirror. They continued traveling down the hall of stone until they came across a mighty door of marble and a giant stone dragon near it. Lion-O tried pushing it open but it wouldn’t budge. “Why...Won’t it...open?”

Just as Lion-o said this the Stone Dragon opened his eyes and got on its feet letting out a mighty roar that shook the cave.

“By the Eye of Thundera what is that,” Lion-o said out loud amazed at the size of the stone Dragon

The stone Dragon glared at Lion-o before opening its mouth aglow forming in the back of its mouth. Lion-o grabbed Snarf and quickly dodged away before the Dragon let loose a blast of fire. Lion-O jumped back and avoided the blast of flame using the Sword to shield him and Snarf.

“You shall not enter the chamber!” The Dragon echoed in a deep booming voice.

“I don’t know what you are but I will find a way into that chamber,” Lion-o said

“I am the guardian of the mirror.” The dragon proclaimed. “I will protect this magic from all those who would use it for evil purposes.”

“You are the Guardian? Tell me how can I prove my heart is pure to you? I need to use the mirror,” Lion-o asked.

“For evil purposes not doubt.” The dragon boomed.

“I am Lion-o, Lord of the Thundercats. I would never use the mirror for evil,” Lion-o try to explain.

“Many of come with excuses before, and many have lied, and many have PERISHED! “The Dragon said as it opened its mouth and shot out even more flames at Lion-o.

Lion-o dodged the burning fire and ducked behind a large stone pillar. “Please great Guardian I do not want to hurt you. I but I will if I have to get to the mirror,” Lion-o said.

“To use the mirror to conquer new world!” roared the Stone Dragon.

“To save my friend Tygra!” Lion-O pulled out the Sword of Omens. “HOOOOO!”

The Stone Dragon shot out flames to meet the beam of light that came from the Sword of Omens canceling both attacks out.

“ENOUGH! Through this battle the truth of your mission has been revealed. You may use the mirror this once. But be warned you must be careful on how you word your question otherwise you will never find what you are looking for,” the Dragon said to Lion-o before it walked off to the side of the cave and return to its rest.

“Thank you Guardian. I will.” Slowly the door opened and in the center of the room laid a large bejeweled mirror.

“That’s the mirror”! Snarf pointed out.

“Now we can use it to find Tygra.” Lion-o said with confidence.
Lion-o looked at the mirror pondering how he should word his question. He knew who it taken Tygra and he knew the name of the location where Tygra had been taken but not the location itself. Suddenly he realized what his question should be. “Where is Equestria?” Lion-o asked. The mirror lit up with magic that wind to the mirror’s reflective surface that showed a vast kingdom that was on the planet several light years away. It was far from third earth but the journey would only take a couple of days in the Feliner.

“That’s it. That’s where we need to go. Come on Snarf we need to tell the others,” Lion-o said as he picked up Snarf and left the chamber. As soon as Lion-o and Snarf exited the cave the entire mouth of the cave vanished. It was like there had never been in a cave there in the first place.

“Lion-O” Cheetara ran up to them. “Where have you been.”

“Inside the cave...Or what used to be the cave.” Lion-O replied.

“Did you find the mirror?”” asked Lynx-o

“Yes...And we know where to go.” Lion-o said to the group.

AT THE BLACK PYRAMID

Princess Luna slowly began to wake out, her head pounding from the beating she received. “Ugh I haven’t felt this bad since the first battle with Discord. When I get my hooves on that traitorous creature I will show him why I am the Princess of the Night!” Lena said as she got on up all four hooves. Slowly she looked around finding herself in a cage. Using her magic she tried to unlock the cage but her prison was unaffected by her magic. Princess Luna then noticed another cage next to hers with a cat creature similar to Lion-o but this creature had tiger stripes instead and wore a different garment then the one who attacked her.

“Ugh...By Jaga...What happened.” He looked around and saw himself in a cell. “Where am I?”

“You are in a cage same as myself put here by your ally Lion-o,” Princess Luna said harshly

“Lion-O...Lion-O would never entrap a creatures I was captured by an alicorn named Celestia.”

“CEASE THY LIES VILLAIN MY DEAREST SISTER WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING. IF I WERE NOT IN THIS CAGE I WOULD SHOW YOU WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO SPEAK ILL OF MY SISTER!!” Princess Luna yelled angrily in the Royal Canterlot voice.

“Sister? Why would your Sister attack me or for that matter why would Lion-O put you in a cage?”

“My beloved sister would never attack anyone outside of defending herself. Thy villainess ally pretended to want my help before attacking me with a double bladed sword with snakes for a hilt,” Luna said not trusting the tiger in the cage.

“Well your sister was trapped in a net needing rescue and then attack me with dark emerald green magic.”

“Thy lie. My sister is magic is a golden color, the color of the sun which she doth control in equestria. Thy ally Lion-o is the trickster with his snake sword,” Princess Luna said to the Tiger.

“That’s impossible. That is the Sword of Plundar, a weapon of pure evil wielded by the Evil Mumm-Ra. Lion-O wields the Sword of Omens.”

“Wait, you said Celestia wielded dark emerald magic. There is only one race in Equestria that wields that sort magic, the Changelings,” Princess Luna exclaimed.

“Changeling? I never heard of those creatures.” Tygra said sounding curious.

“They take the form of others and feed off the love that they receive from the loved ones of the pony they replaced. Their queen, Queen Chrysalis and her army nearly conquered Canterlot and all of equestria had it not been for twilight sparkle finding my niece the real Princess cadence the pony who Queen Chrysalis replaced,” Luna explained.

“Fascinating.” Tygra pondered. “My enemy Mumm-Ra also has the ability of transformation.”

“You don’t suppose…” Luna started to say.

“MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA…..He’d be correct Princess Luna.”

“MUMM-RA!” Tygra exclaimed angrily.

“MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Yes….Tygra….You are now prisoner of Mumm-Ra the ever living”! The evil Mumm-Ra approached the cages. “You are beneath the lower dungeons of the Black Pyramid. Welcome...To my humble abode Princess Luna.”

“You will not win evil one. My sister will gather the bearers of the Elements of Harmony and defeats you,” Princess Luna said while one of her hooves pawing at the ground in anger.

“ Oh...I disagree very much, Princess Luna...Already your sister Celestia suspects the Thundercats for your disappearance and already sending a rescue even as we speak.”

“You underestimate my sister and our allies. There is one who will see through this deception,” Princess Luna said with a smirk on her face, a certain immortal being of chaos in mind.

“HA HA HA HA! I am sure they will...But not before...They DESTROY….one another in battle!” Mumm-Ra cackled.

“Do not worry, Tygra I believe it was. There is one creature in equestria who will be able to stop this,” Princess Luna said confident that Discord will use his powers to find her.

“If you speak of the Draconequus of Chaos...Rest assured I will be able...to ...he ha ha...handle him. HEHEHEHEHAHHAHAHHAHABUAHAHAHAHAHA!”

“Mumm-Ra your ally has arrived. He seems very impatient with you,” Queen Chrysalis said as she walked through the doorway with another unusual creature following her.

“Why have you summoned me evil one?” Alluro asked.

“Ah Alluro, bender of the mind. Welcome ...He haha. You are here to implement the latest ploy in my plan.”

“And what would that be my ally?” Queen Chrysalis asked curious about Mumm-Ra’s plan for Princess Luna and Tygra.

“Simple...Chrysalis, while the Thundercats and these Elements of Harmony bearers fight one another we will use these two under Alluro’s mind control to cause Chaos… and evil! Throughout all of Third Earth!”exclaimed Mumm-Ra.

“I am impressed my partner in evil,” Chrysalis said as in evil smile formed on her face. “I would suggest however that Princess Luna be put through some old memories of hers,” Queen Chrysalis said as she gave Princess Luna a evil smile. That look put Princess Luna on edge.

“Old memories eh.” Mumm-Ra thought. “Very well, pain of the past always leads to greater evil. Alluro...If you don’t mind...proceed.”

“Very well Mumm-Ra. what sorts of memories should I have her relive?” Alluro asked.

“While I was undercover in Canterlot I needed to know everything about Princess Luna so I could replace her. I found that 1000 years ago no pony in equestria appreciated Princess Luna and the work she did on the night sky. Over time she developed resentment to her sister and finally one day that came to a boil and she became a wicked mare of darkness and evil, Nightmare Moon. With the Elements of Harmony Celestia was able to banish Nightmare Moon into Equestria’s moon for a thousand years. But without the Elements of Harmony, Celestia herself was unable to defeat nightmare Moon. It was only when Princess Celestia’s prized pupil gathered five other ponies and combined to revive the elements of harmony was nightmare Moon defeated,” Queen Chrysalis explained.

“Fascinating!” Mumm-Ra declared. “This will be quite the interesting enchantment indeed.”

“Such...Horrid memories….It will work wonders on the mind.” Alluro chuckled.

“No. Not again. I refuse to become that monster again,” Princess Luna exclaimed, fear permeating her voice.

“A monster is in the mind.” Alluro responded. “And the mind, I control.”

“Don’t worry Luna, he can only control your mind if you submit...You can’t let the past control you.” Tygra advised sounding defiant.

“You would know of such things Tygrra. Do you still carry the guilt you once felt after betraying your fellow Thundercats to me in exchange for the fruit I gave you,” Mumm-Ra said with a smirk.

“Only because you controlled me with the fruit.”

“The fruit you willingly took.” Mumm-Ra corrected.

“Grr… I swear Mumm-Ra, never again will you control me like that. That disguise you took will never work on me again,” Tygra said angrily.

“Come now Tygra….You know the saying you can’t teach an old dog...or in this case CAT new tricks.” Mumm-Ra cackled.
“Alluro...Proceed with the Equestrian Princess.”

“Very well evil Mumm-Ra,” Alluro said as he approached Princess Luna’s cage. He lifted his psyche club and pointed it at Luna. The orb emitted a blue light that in enveloped Princess Luna “You are mine….Your mind is under my control….You will obey my will….Do as I command. No one appreciates your night….the day time is so much better, the light...the glorious bright light.”

“N-no. P-please not again…,” Princess Luna stuttered trying to resist Alluro’s commands while also fighting her memories.

“The night is so...Weak….And pathetic. Who would want to embrace its darkness? Unless you aid me.”

“N-never,” Princess Luna said. But try as she might one memory stood out, the night she gave all of Equestria a brilliant light show of stars that depicted the battle between her and her sister against Discord, but no pony saw her art which was what broke her heart the most and brought forth the dark thoughts that changed her and in her heart she felt the same as that day and she stood against Celestia. Slowly shadows began to form around her body and enveloped her.

“Yes...Yes...Only darkness can insure the night remains strong.”

Suddenly the shadows glowed a dark red and then faded to a starlet blue that became the mane and tail pieces that were connected to a black alicorn in dark blue armor. As soon as the alicorn touched the floor of the cage she opened her eyes that had become cat like and let loose evil laugh. “Princess Luna is no more now there is only Nightmare Moon!” exclaimed Nightmare Moon.

“By Jaga!” Tygra said looking shocked. “What on Thundera have you done?”

“Magnificent!” Mumm-Ra cackled. “Probably...Your finest work yet...Alluro.”

“Thank you Mumm-Ra.” Alluro said. “I must admit I am surprised.”

“Now we need something special to use on the Thundercat Mumm-Ra,” Queen Chrysalis to her allies.

“Indeed. Now….He he ha...For the cat.” Mumm-Ra pulled out a piece of fruit from his robe. “Do you remember ...THIS Tygra? From my Gardens of Delights.” “NO! Not the fruit! You won’t seduce me with that again Mumm-Ra!”

“I disagree HEHEHAHAHA...Smell its scent Tygra! You will submit to my fruit.”

“No...NEVER!” Tygra struggled.

“You will! You cannot defeat the power of...Mumm-RA HAH AHHAAHAHA!” The scent of the fruit began to enter the cage and surround Tygra.

“I...Will...Not….I...I Submit…………….” Tygra said struggling to not let the fruit affect his scenes.

“You will submit to my POWER!” commanded Mumm-Ra.

“NEVER….I follow...The code of Thundera...Justice...Truth...Honor...and Loyalty.”

“HAHAHAHAHAH Those noble traits will fall along with the rest...of the THUNDERCATS!”

“No...I will not….Will...Not…..”

“Alluro! I require your aid” Mumm-Ra turned to his evil ally as the Lunatac lit his orb on Tygra now, its mystical blue light engulfing him.

“You will eat the fruit Tygra...Taste its warm delicacy.” Alluro commanded

“N-never. I will not… Betray… My… Fellow… Thundercats… again,” Tygra struggling against Alluro’s psyche club hypnosis and the scent of the tainted fruit.

“Eat the fruit Tygra….Taste the food of the garden of delight.” Alluro commanded. Slowly Tygra reached out his hand towards the fruit.

“N-no. I… can’t,” Tygra started to say as Mumm-Ra pushed the fruit closer to Tygra’s hand.

“You will Tygra...Eat Silky’s fruit.” Alluro commanded. Tygra slowly took the fruit from Mumm-Ra’s hand but did not take a bite just yet. “Go on...Take a bite Tygra. Eat the delicious fruit.”

“I w-will... never... stop… fighting… even… If… I do… eat … fruit… I… will… not… stop… fighting…,” Tygra said as he slowly brought the fruit closer to his mouth but still not taking a bite.

“Eat it...I command you to eat it!” Alluro said getting frustrated.

Slowly Tygra opened his mouth and finally took a small bite but quickly tossing the fruit away.

“Excellent! The hypnotizing essence of the fruit will slowly corrupt his mind bending him to my will once again.” Mumm-Ra cackled

Tygra curled up in a ball. He could feel an overpowering feeling come over him. Slowly he began to shake and clutch his head, trying to keep his wits about him and resist the feeling.

“He’s being resistant.” Alluro said.

“Patients Alluro, we must allow the fruit to take its affect.” Mumm-Ra said observing Tygra.

Slowly the world around Tygra seemed to blur as Mumm-Ra’s form seemed to fade away and reveal a female plant creature. “S-silkie, do you have any more of the fruit?” Tygra said as his eyes dulled.

Mumm-Ra chuckled. “You will have more fruit...Once you do something...For me. I want you to go with this Equestrian horse….and attack! The Treetop Kingdom!”

“Yes Silkie,” Tygra said as he slowly got to his feet.

“MUHAHAHAHAHAHA…..Yes….It worked….They are both under our control!” Mumm-Ra cackled in victory.
“But wasn’t he able to break your control before?” Chrysalis asked

“It matters not...We have Luna under our control and with the Thundercats and the Elements fighting one another, Tygra will
have no connections to his former friends to aid him in freeing his mind." Mumm-Ra declared.

“Nevertheless I will not take any chances. Such thinking was the cause of my downfall,” Queen Chrysalis explained.

“Very well...Alluro...Add an extra layer of control.” Mumm-Ra commanded

“With pleasure evil one.” Alluro’s psyche club blue aura surrounded Tygra. “You will obey the will of Silkie, her fruit will be your salvation Tygra. Remember the delicious fruit and obey.”

“Silkie is salvation,” Tygra said going deeper into his trance.

“Now...We will able to use them to cause Chaos in Third Earth.” Alluro declared.

“And Equestria.” Queen Chrysalis added

“But not before our enemies wipe each other out.”

“What about Discord? What are you plans for him?” Queen Chrysalis asked Mumm-Ra.

“Do not worry my ally in evil, I will handle the draconequus personally.”

On Equestria

“Oh ho...And they say a river should be made of water.” Discord said taking a look at the new chocolate milk river he created. He got out a cup and took out a sip. “Delicious and nutritious.” He got out a scroll and started looking at it. “Okay let’s see...chaos, chaos, chaos...buy a birthday present for Flutter….EAG...Fluttershy’s birthday is coming up and I don’t have a present!” Discord started biting his fingers “Okay...Calm down you're the spirit of chaos after all it shouldn't be hard to think of something.

Thinking

“I can’t think of anything...and typing thinking isn’t going to help. I need to find something great...TO THE MARKETPLACE!” With a snap of his fingers and a flash of light...He was gone.

At the marketplace Discord couldn’t find anything that he thought was good enough for Fluttershy.

“Hmm...Let’s see...let see there has to be something here.” Discord said looking around. “Jewels...no….diamonds….no that not her, although Rarity’s birthday is next month...hmmm….” Discord kept looking around.

“Naturally made perfumes and colognes on sale,” a grey unicorn with red eyes and a white mane and tail came walking through the market pulling a cart filled with all sorts of small bottles. “Made just this morning with only the freshest flowers and herbs. All on sale. Looking for something for your sweetheart’s birthday gift, look no further than here,” the pony called out at the ponies passing him by.

“Perfumes.” Discord repeated seeming intrigue. “What scents do you have.” he said looking at the different bottles. “Now which one would Fluttershy like?”

“Well sir what does your friend like?” the pony asked Discord.

“Animals mostly.” Discord replied. “Cute things...Butterflies, bunny rabbits, that sort of thing.”

“Ah then I have just the thing,” the ponies said as he looked through his stock and found a bottle that had a rainbows solution in it. “This scent is called Garden of the Forest. It is made from flowers that animals eat and are found around. It is my finest work,” the unicorn sprayed a small bit of the solution on Discords wrist so he could smell the perfume scent.

“Oooh….It does smell good, what flowers are used, they seem unfamiliar to me?” asked the spirit of chaos.

“That is because the flowers I use I found around the edge of several different forests I have visited,” the Unicorn said to Discord

“Really….Oh...Well they smell nice. I’ll take one.” Discord said conjuring a bit.

“Thank you sir and since it’s for someone’s birthday I shall attach this ribbon to it,” the unicorn said as he got a ribbon from underneath some bottles cut off a piece and tied it to the bottle he was giving Discord. “Have a good day and enjoy,” the unicorn said as he began walking away while yelling his sales pitch trying to draw in more customers.

Discord then headed to Fluttershy’s cabin, and by heading there he appeared toward the cabin. “Hmm...Strange, I felt stiff...Must be these old joints of mind.” Discord thought. He began to head to the cottage door however as he did, he felt himself getting slower and slower. “Hey...What in heaven’s name.” Discord took a look and saw his wrist turning into stone. “What going on!”

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!” Mumm-Ra appeared “That perfume you bought from the kindly sales pony was part of the MASK OR GORGAN! An ancient device that turned those who started at it...IN….TO STONE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

“Mumm-Ra….I should have known it be you. Been a while...Haven’t seen Third Earth in years...Tell me does that chasm still take takes four days to reach the bottom," Discord said to Mumm-Ra

Mumm-Ra scowled. “You once thought to bring chaos to my evil domain but I defeated you once before...and I have...AGAIN!”

“Why? Are you here to attack Equestria...My friends will stop you!” Discord replied definitely. “I should know, they stopped me too.”

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! I do not plan to attack your friends...I have someone, or someone’s much more interesting in mind!” Mumm-Ra exclaimed

“What do you plan to do?” Discord asked not like where the conversation was heading.

“HEHEHHAHAHAH Well since you are about to be turned to stone...No harm in telling you. My enemies the Thundercats! Have been a thorn in my side for too long...in battle after battle...I have not been able to vanquish them, and when the Ancient Spirits of Evil told me about your Elements of Harmony….Well...Heheha...I devised a plan to have good….fight….good!” Mumm-Ra to Discord

“You want my friends to fight your Thundercat’s...They’ll never do that”! Discord said.

“Not unless they believe the Thundercats are evil and are responsible for the capture of one of the royal princesses, the younger sister to be precise HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Mumm-Ra explained to Discord.

“Princess Luna will escape. She is the third most powerful Princess in Equestria,” Discord told Mumm-Ra.

“Not if she ...Heheha...allowed dreams to become….Nightmare HEEHEHEHAAHAH!” Mumm-Ra said evilly

“You’ll pay for that,” Discord said angrily. Now Discord might not get along with Princess Celestia but he was semi-friends with Princess Luna given that they were both reformed villains. Princess Luna had let him in on a little secret, she often feared that at one point she would turn back in the Nightmare Moon. Discord tried to snap his fingers to unleash his powers on Mumm-Ra but while they were talking three fourths of Discord’s body had turned to stone. However while most of his power was gone just enough was left to create as scroll with its own pair of legs to run away from Mumm-Ra and head off into the distance but not before Discord was fully encased in stone once again.
