> The Wedding Memories > by Stardom Freedom > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Rarity and Fancy Pants' Wedding > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diamond Pants searched her room for her book, Dress Making Ideas for Beginners. The Spring Fling at her school was coming up, and she promised her friends - Harmony, Firework, Cider, Colorful, and Sugar - that she would make them all dresses that would fit their personality for the event. The Unicorn filly searched her bookshelf and then found her hooves on a book titled, R + FP's Moments in cursive writing. She knew "R" and "FP" were her parents' initials, Rarity and Fancy Pants. Diamond looked in the book. She saw lots of pictures of her parents together, but one caught her eye. It was one with her mother and father in wedding attire. "Mom, Dad! Come here, please!" Diamond called out. Her parents came into the room. "Yes, Diamond?" Rarity asked. "Can you tell me about your wedding?" Diamond inquired. "Oh, of course! That's a beautiful story!" Fancy Pants smiled. They began the story and it all seemed to dissolve into life. Everypony was on the train to Canterlot, where Fancy Pants and Rarity chose to have their wedding. Rarity's bridesmaids were Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Fluttershy. Fancy Pants' groomstallions were Brickstone, Cement Dust, and Black Belt. Princess Twilight Sparkle was going to preside the ceremony. Everypony in Equestria was excited. One of the bearers of the Elements of Harmony was marrying a high-society pony! In fact, it was even in the newspaper! Element of Generosity to be wed to Fancy Pants! But one pony wasn't happy with this news. Supermodel Fleur Dis Lee was in her penthouse sipping her coffee and reading the newspaper. "Fancy Pants? As in my ex-stallionfriend Fancy Pants?" She continued reading. "I can't wait for the wedding. Rarity is the mare of my dreams, and I can't wait to be with her." Pants said about his opinion of the marriage. Fleur growled, "I was once the mare of his dreams! But Miss Perfect just had to take it away from me!" Fleur's sour expression soon went away. "I know how to get Fancy back! I'll just have to storm the wedding..." It was the day of the wedding. Pinkie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow stood at the left side of the room, Fancy Pants, Cement, Brickstone, and Black were at the right, and Twilight stood at the front. Soon, the Wedding March played. Rarity and her father, Hondo Flanks, walked down the aisle so Hondo could give Rarity away. On the way, sitting in the front row, were Rarity's mother, Cookie Crumbles, and Sweetie Belle, Rarity's 13-year-old sister who had finally gotten her cutie mark, which was a microphone. Once Hondo gave away Rarity, Twilight started the ceremony. "Mares and gentlecolts, we are here to witness the union of Rarity and Fancy Pants. The strength of their commitment is clear; the power of their love, undeniable. Before we begin, does anypony object this marriage?" "I OBJECT!" a mare's voice hollered. Fleur Dis Lee then leaped into the room wearing a wedding gown! "That's right, I object! Because this is my wedding! Fancy Pants and I are getting hitched, and there's nothing you all can do about it!" Fleur announced. "No! He's mine! Get away from him, Fleur Dis Lee!" Rarity leaped to Fleur to stop her from kissing her fiance. "GET AWAY FROM MY FRIEND'S FIANCE, YOU CREEP!" Rainbow charged toward the supermodel. Applejack grabbed Rainbow by the tail. "Violence is never the answer, RD!" Pinkie glared at Fleur. "You're not being very nice!" Fluttershy tried to stop her songbirds from attacking Fleur. Soon, the whole room was full of chaos. Twilight was the only sane one there. "EVERYPONY, STOP!" she screamed. She put the room on freeze. Slowly, Twilight took it off of freeze and turned to Fleur. "Miss Fleur Dis Lee, this is Fancy Pants and Rarity's wedding, not yours and Fancy's. So we would all appreciate it if you left right now." Twilight ordered. Fleur smirked. "No. I'm marrying him no matter what." Rainbow shot up. "NOPONY TALKS BACK TO MY FRIENDS!" She charged toward Fleur and knocked her out! It was then when Fleur realized what she did and she gasped. "I'm sorry. I was just tired of being single." she wailed. Rarity put her hoof on Fleur's shoulder. "I just started a website called Fall in Love and Make it Hurt. I bet you that you'll find the perfect stallion for you there!" Fleur brightened up. "Thank you. And I'm sorry for what I did." And with that the mare was gone. Twilight finished the ceremony and Rarity and Fancy Pants were officially husband and wife. "So if it weren't for Mrs. Rainbow and Mrs. Twilight, Mom wouldn't be my mom?" Diamond questioned. "You could say that," Fancy Pants replied. "Fleur Dis Lee is now married to an Earth Pony stallion named Pine Leaves. They have twin girls named Rose and Greenery. We invited them over in hope that you, Greenery, and Rose would become friends!" Rarity beamed. "Oh?" Diamond asked. At that moment, the doorbell rang. "That's them!" Rarity exclaimed. The three answered the door and saw a snobby-looking Unicorn and Earth Pony standing with an adult Unicorn and Earth Pony. The Unicorn filly had a green coat and brown mane and tail and blue eyes. The Earth Pony filly had a pink coat and white mane and tail and green eyes. The Unicorn, Greenery, resembled her father and the Earth Pony, Rose, was a bit more like her mother. This is going to be a long day. Diamond thought. > Rainbow Dash and Soarin's Wedding > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Colorful Dash flew around the back of her cloud home, trying to do a Sonic Rainboom. "Keep it up, Color! You're gonna make it!" Rainbow Dash, Colorful's mother, cheered. Colorful nodded and kept speeding. After a few minutes, she strained her one of her wings and began to fall! She closed her eyes and waited for the pain, which never came. The Pegasus filly opened her emerald eyes and saw another pair of those eyes. Her father, Soarin, had caught her, and was carrying her in bridal-style. "Whoa, thanks, Dad!" Colorful thanked. Rainbow Dash approached them. "Hey, that's the pose you carried me in at our wedding," "Oh, yeah! The one where you were saying that I didn't need to carry you to the chariot! You were screaming at me, and everypony thought you had issues, especially my parents!" Soarin recalled. "Ooh, sounds hilarious! Can you tell me about the whole wedding?" Colorful snickered. Rainbow cringed. "Let's not talk about that..." "Oh, RD! Color will love that story!" Soarin pleaded. "Oh, fine. But I won't be listening." Rainbow put in some earplugs, went to the nearest tree, and began to doze off. Soarin rolled his eyes as he began the story. Rainbow Dash was zipping around, screaming in joy. She had every right to be happy. She and her stallionfriend, Soarin, had really been hitting it off lately. They saw each other more than usual, Rainbow attended every single Wonderbolts game, no matter how much the tickets cost, and they always hung out together while they were with their personal friends. That day, they were hanging out on a cloud when Soarin popped the question. "Will you marry me?" Rainbow had screamed, "Yes!" After that, she kissed Soarin full on the lips and then flew off in happiness. "Oh, I have everything planned out! My bridesmaids will be Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie, and Fluttershy, Soarin's groomstallions will be whomever he pleases, but I already know he'll choose Spitfire to be his best mare, Twilight will perform the ceremony, Dad will give me away, I can ask Vinyl Scratch if she can perform at the reception; oh, this is going to be the best wedding ever!" Rainbow daydreamed. "I should go tell Soarin this!" She zipped off to find her fiance, and told him all of her plans. "Whoa, that sounds great, Rainbow! And I already found my groomstallions!" "Really? Who are they?" "Cloudhoops, Sun Burn, and Thunder Cloud. My best mare will be Spitfire." Rainbow knew Sun Burn, Cloudhoops, and Thunder Cloud. They were cool, and Rainbow was glad that Soarin had chosen them. "This is going to be the best wedding ever! Probably better than Cadance and Shining Armor's! Or even William and Kat's! I can't wait!" The venue of the wedding was Cloudsdale. The Pegasi sat on a huge cloud to watch the ceremony, and the others sat in hot air balloons provided by Soarin and Rainbow. Since Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight were part of the wedding party, Twilight performed a spell that let them walk on clouds. The wedding party was getting ready. Cloudhoops, Thunder Cloud, Sun Burn, and Soarin were dressed in tuxedos, and Spitfire put on a baby blue dress with a golden lining. Everything went swimmingly in there. Where the bride, her bridesmaids, and Twilight were was there the most problems. The girls were wearing dresses - Pinkie wearing a red one; Rarity an orange one; Twilight a yellow one; Applejack in a green one; Fluttershy was wearing a violet dress. Rarity was holding up a rainbow-colored wedding dress for Rainbow, who was shivering in fear. "Come on, Rainbow! Yerr gettin' married in 20 minutes!" Applejack demanded. "Yes, please! They're all going to get impatient, especially Fancy Pants! Oh, I can only imagine how uncomfortable sitting in that hot air balloon for so long is..." Rarity begged. "Come on! You said you wanted this to be the best wedding ever, and here is the chance!" Pinkie encouraged, nudging Rainbow to Rarity. "I can't! I'm too nervous!" Rainbow wailed. "Please, Rainbow? I'm sure Soarin would be disappointed if-" Fluttershy began. "I can't! I just can't!" Rainbow cried. "Oh, uh, sorry, girls. I have to get ready to perform the ceremony. Good luck." Twilight explained, and then she ran out the door. "Coward!" Pinkie called after the princess. Rarity then got an idea. "Rainbow, I heard that Spitfire is going to award you with becoming a Wonderbolt if you marry Soarin. And Soarin loves you, so you also get the pleasure of marrying him!" Rainbow stopped weeping. "You're right! I need to get on with this!" She grabbed her wedding dress and got ready for her wedding. The Wedding March played, and Rainbow Blaze walked Rainbow down the aisle to give her away. Afterwards, Twilight wed the two, and they were officially husband and wife. At the reception, they had the time of their life. When the chariot arrived, Soarin picked up Rainbow to take her inside it. "Hey, let me go!" Rainbow shouted. "I'm supposed to do this. It's called being a gentlecolt." Soarin teased. "I don't care! Let go of me!" Rainbow kept arguing with Soarin, until finally, she gave up and let him carry her inside the chariot. "Wow. That was cool." Colorful breathed. "It was pretty fun," Soarin agreed. "I wish I were there." "Then you would have the time of your life," "Which reminds me..." Colorful went inside her house and came back with a music player. She turned on the song, Time of Our Lives. Rainbow woke up. "That's my jam!" The three danced for the rest of the day. > Applejack and Pear's Wedding > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cider was playing with her brother (who was a year younger than her), Applestrong. "Git the apple in the bucket, AS!" Cider screamed. "No problem, sis!" Applestrong replied, catching the apple and bumping it into the bucket. "Yerr turn to throw the apple, Applestrong!" Cider said. Her brother nodded and picked an apple from the trees that his family grew. The siblings' parents, Applejack and Pear, walked out of the barn they lived in and approached the brother and sister. "Honey, remember when we played that game?" Pear asked his wife. "Yep! Too bad that that moment was short-lived, though." Applejack recalled. "What do ya mean?" Applestrong questioned. Applejack looked at Pear. "Should we tell 'em our story?" "They'll be interested," Pear shrugged. Applestrong and Cider sat down on the pure, green grass as their parents explained to them what happened. "Wake up, Applejack!" a Posh accent said soothingly to a young Earth Pony filly. Applejack groaned. Ever since she had come to Manehattan to live with her Aunt and Uncle Orange, they had told her to wake up bright and early, for their was lots for ponies in Manehattan to do. "Coming, Aunt Orange!" Applejack yawned. She went down for breakfast, and they had the same usual thing: a really tiny portion of eggs. "Mmm, you did a good job cooking, Tangerine," Uncle Orange praised. "Thank you, Mandarin," Tangerine thanked. "I'm not hungry," Applejack insisted, pushing her plate away. "You have to eat right now, Applejack. We're having another party tonight, and the only food there is grown-up food." Mandarin winked. Applejack moaned. She hated when her aunt and uncle had parties, because there was nopony her age to play with. Usually she would just sit in her room and do nothing but stare at her rodeo posters. Sometimes, she even had to go down there and greet the guests! But that was all to change today... That night when she was greeting the guests, Applejack saw a glimpse of what looked like a pony her height. A pony her height! Then that meant... Applejack shook the idea out of her head. Only adults came to these parties. Then again, it didn't hurt to go see. The filly rushed over and saw the pony again. It was an Earth Pony colt, with a green coat and a mane and tail the same color, but a darker shade. "Hi! I'm Applejack! What's your name?" she greeted. The colt's eyes widened. "H-h-hi. I-I'm Pear." He took a deep breath. "How did you get in here?" "What do ya mean?" "This is an adult-only party. How did you get in?" "Oh. Well, my Aunt and Uncle Orange are the host and hostess, so I have access. How did ya get in?" Pear blushed in embarrassment. "Um, I'm homeless," "What?! Let's talk more in my room." Applejack led Pear to the room Mandarin and Tangerine gave her. "So, continue," Applejack said once they were seated. "I'm homeless. My parents told me that I was an embarrassment to them and they left me on the streets of Manehattan. I begged for money and food, but got none. I saw some ponies enter this place and I could smell the most delicious food, so I followed them in. I got a few helpings of soup, salad, and hay and decided that that was enough to eat. I was about to leave, but you came." "Oh. I'm sorry. Hey, wanna play Rodeo Race?" Pear brightened up. "Yeah! I used to play this with my parents!" They both got brooms to use as horses, and ran around Applejack's room. After a few hours, they heard a Posh accent say, "Applejack! The party is over!" Applejack gasped. "Hide! Uncle Orange is comin'!" Pear dove under the bed just as Mandarin opened the door. "Okay, you're fine. Time to go to bed!" The stallion left the room. Pear came out. "I'll come back tomorrow," He slipped out the window. Applejack couldn't wait for him to come. The next night, Applejack never saw Pear. She checked her room, the whole party scene, the buffet table, and the rest of the house, but he wasn't there. While she was in her room crying, she pulled out her suitcase and began to pack up. "I never really liked this fancy-shmancy life, anyway," The next morning, she left. The years passed by, and Sweet Apple Acres got a lot of sales and was the top tourist destination for sales. Applejack was working when she heard a stallion's voice call her name. "Welcome to Sweet Apple Acres! Can I help-" She stopped when she noticed the stallion in front of her. His coat was green, and his mane and tail was a darker shade of green. "Pear?" Applejack asked in disbelief. "That's my name," the stallion said. Applejack's hooves clutched into fists. "Why'd ya leave Manehattan? Do ya know how upset I was?" Pear sighed. "I knew you'd be angry. Look, the reason I left is because, even at a young age, I loved you. I had always liked the idea of love , so I left my spot on the street to start working. "I went from place to place, getting money. "I finally had enough money to buy you something. Once I got it, I went to Manehattan to find you, but you weren't there. Your aunt and uncle said that you left Manehattan years ago. I came here, so... yeah..." Applejack looked at Pear. "What did ya buy me?" Pear brought it out. It was an emerald ring big enough to fit on Applejack's hoof. "Applejack, will you marry me?" Applejack gasped. "Yes!" Applejack started pacing around Pear. "Oh, the wedding will be a real hoot! We'll have it out in the orchard, my whole family will come, yerr friends can come, my friends will come, and the theme will be Country Hoedown!" "Um... AJ, I'm not interested in country stuff. I thought it could be in a church, with your friend Princess Twilight presiding, and a bit more... regal than a country hoedown." Pear said. "What?! But... my idea was my dream weddin'." Applejack's lip quivered. Pear showed no sympathy as he shouted, "Well, I don't like that idea!" Tears threatened to come out of Applejack's beautiful emerald eyes. Oh, no. Please don't cry. Pear said in his head. But his wish didn't come true as Applejack began to sob and run into the Everfree Forest. Pear gasped. Oh, no! He ran after Applejack. She made it before him, and she sat down and cried. She didn't notice the Timberwolf behind her. Fortunately, Pear was just arriving as the Timberwolf prepared to kill Applejack. "NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Pear screamed. He jumped in between the Timberwolf and Applejack, and the Timberwolf struck him! Applejack turned around, seeing Pear's corpse. "Pear!" More tears spilled down the mare's face as she hugged Pear. "Please come back," she whispered. Lucky for her, he did. "Oh, Applejack! I'm so sorry! I'll have a Country Hoedown wedding, just please don't ever do that again!" Applejack smiled. "Hmm, no. How 'bout we have it at a church, and then a wild, crazy, country reception afterwards?" Pear beamed as he agreed. A few months later, the two had the best wedding ever. "Blech! Too much romance!" Applestrong gagged. "Even I have to agree with AS. But that was so interesting! Can you tell that story to my class and Applestrong's class on Parent Appreciation Day?" Cider asked. "Yeah! It was cool, despite the romance. Please, Ma? Please, Father?" Applestrong agreed. "Yeah! I think those children will enjoy that story!" Pear said. "Hmm, yeah. Thanks for suggestin' that!" Applejack grinned. On Parent Appreciation Day, Pear and Applejack's story was the most interesting. > Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich's Wedding > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was no surprise that there was a party going on in the Pie household. They were all in the middle of a Family Game Night Party. Cheese Sandwich and Pinkie Pie had invited over Pinkie's family: her father, Igneous Rock, her mother, Cloudy Quartz, and her three sisters, Marble, Limestone, and Maud, and their sons and daughter. Pinkie and Cheese's daughter, Sugar Pie, was playing a game of chess with her cousin, a colt. "Checkmate! I win!" Sugar beamed. The colt, Rocky (Maud's son), groaned. "The fourth time in a row." "Don't be jealous, Rocky! It just proves that I'm better at chess! Now, who else wants to play against me?" "Me!" a filly and another colt said. The filly was Limestone's daughter, and her name was Jewel. The colt was Stone, Marble's son. They were also Sugar's cousins. "Actually, it's time to go. It's 9:55 now." Cloudy Quartz pointed out. "But I didn't beat Sugar yet!" Rocky argued. "Rocky, don't talk back to your grandmother." Maud scolded in her usual monotone voice. "Wait! We always end Family Game Night with an interesting story. So sit down and make yourselves comfortable." Cheese smiled. Everypony did what he said. "Now, tonight's story will be a real gem! It's about our wedding!" Pinkie gushed, and she and her husband began the story. "Oh, Cheese, this will be the wedding of the century!" Pinkie exclaimed. Cheese had popped the question a few weeks ago, and they already had everything down. They already had the invitations, venue, food, wedding dress, rings, and everything else needed. They were also having their wedding as their entry for the Craziest Couple Contest. It was a contest where couples send in pictures and a full description of a wild, crazy, awesome party that they threw together. The winner would get a five day-four night trip to Las Pegasus! Cheese and Pinkie wanted to win, because then they could go to Las Pegasus for their honeymoon! The two were decorating the large field (the place where Rainbow Dash's birthiversary). "Put the banner above the stage!" Pinkie called out. "And the cake on top of the table!" Cheese ordered. "And please make the gazebo a teensy, weensy bit more fancy. That's where the ceremony takes place!" They kept making orders until everything was perfect. Pinkie's best friends trotted up to her. "Pinkie, this looks great! You and Cheese are sure to win! This looks better than my wedding!" Rainbow Dash admired. "Uh, no. They're not going to win. We are." a female voice behind them said. They all turned around, and saw an unknown mare and stallion behind them. "I'm Flower Power, and this is my husband, Jet. We just happened to overhear that you think that you two will win the contest." the mare explained. "Well, that won't happen! Our party is off-the-hook! Heck, even those hoity-toity folks in Canterlot will like it!" Jet bragged. "No! Pinkie and I are the Super Duper Party Couple, and we're going to win!" Cheese glared at Flower Power and Jet. "We'll see about that," Flower smirked. With that, the couple sashayed away. "What boasters!" Rarity fumed. "Yeah. I didn't like their attitude either." Applejack said. Pinkie looked worried. "They seemed like they wanted to ruin the wedding!" "Oh, Pinkie, I'm sure they're just being big meanies and are jealous," Cheese assured her. On the day of the wedding, it looked like a hurricane had hit overnight. The stage where the celebrities would perform was wrecked, the banner above it was ruined, the gazebo was torn up, the games and activities were messed up, and the buffet table and cake was gone. All that was there were crumbs. "Who would do such a thing?" Cheese cried. Pinkie's face was beet red with anger, and steam was coming out of her ears. "IT WAS THAT FLOWER POWER AND JET! THEY RUINED OUR SPECIAL DAY!" Using her Pinkie Sense as a map, she went to Jet and Flower's house. She found them watching television in the living room. "WHY DID YOU RUIN OUR WEDDING?!" Pinkie demanded. Jet stood up in anger. "We didn't mess up your wedding. Now get out!" "NO! I know it was you two! ADMIT IT!" Pinkie hollered. "We admit nothing!" Flower glared at Pinkie. Pinkie then got an idea. "Then how come all the food was half-eaten?" "It wasn't half-eaten; Jet and I ate all of the food, so - OW, THAT HURT!" Jet had kicked Flower's leg to make her be quiet. "Ha! You two did it! You can't deny it anymore!" Pinkie smirked. Flower and Jet sighed in defeat. "Pinkie Pie, we're very sorry. We were just your entry was much better than ours. We really wanted that trip to Las Pegasus that we lost it. But Jet and I will use our Unicorn magic to change everything back to the way it was." Flower admitted. "Thank you. But I'm afraid that I'll have to report your actions." "WHAT?! But we fixed your wedding!" Jet protested. "Yes, but in the form, it specifically said, and I quote, 'You cannot sabotage another couple's party. If a party is sabotaged, the party planners of the ruined party have a right to report the ones that sabotaged the party so they can be disqualified.' Unquote." Pinkie hopped out the house to report Flower and Jet. That day, everypony had a great time at the wedding. And, much to Pinkie and Cheese's pleasure, they won the contest and had a good time in Las Pegasus. "Pinkamina, you never told us that the wedding was sabotaged," Igneous Rock said. Pinkie shrugged. "I'm not one for excitement, but that was awesome!" Maud smiled. "Yeah! I agree with Auntie Maud! Tell us another story, Mom and Dad!" Sugar agreed. "Okay. This is a great one!" Cheese said. The Pies all got comfortable for the next interesting story. > Fluttershy and Bashful's Wedding > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Harmony sang a beautiful tune as she fed her pet hamster, Brownie. "Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah!" The brown hamster kicked his food away. "Three more bites?" Harmony asked. Brownie shook his head. "Two more bites?" She got the same answer. "One more bite?" Brownie finally gave in and took one bite of it. Brownie then said something. Harmony translated it as, "I'll eat the whole bowl of food if you can tell me an interesting story," Harmony perked up at this. "Really? What story do you want to hear? Choose one about my mom and her friends, because those are really interesting!" Brownie got the message, and said something that Harmony translated as, "Tell me about your parents' wedding. I like a little romance every now and then." Harmony's smile faded. Her parents had never told her that story. "I'll go get them," Harmony went to find her parents, who were in the living room. Fluttershy was sitting on the couch, touching her stomach. She was 7 months pregnant with female twins, who she and Bashful, her husband, planned to name Ruby and Emerald. "Mom, Dad, can you come in my room for a second?" Harmony questioned. "Honey, your mother is pretty worn out with the twins in her belly. Can it wait?" Bashful said. "Please?" Harmony pleaded. "I... think I'll... have... the strength to get... up," Fluttershy croaked, clutching onto Bashful for support. He carried her to Harmony's room, and they both plopped onto the Pegasus filly's bed. "Can you tell me about your wedding?" Harmony inquired. "Of course!" Fluttershy said. The wedding party was going through the rehearsal. Twilight was presiding (it was surprising she even agreed after doing it for four other weddings) and was standing in the front, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity were on the left as Fluttershy's bridesmaids, and three stallions, Castle Strong, Wooden Cabin, and Green Grass stood at the left as Bashful's groomstallions along with Bashful. Twilight cleared her throat to get everypony's attention. "Okay, everypony, once Octavia Melody starts playing the Wedding March, Fluttershy will walk down the aisle alone. Then, when she gets to Bashful, I'll say some words, and then Bashful and Fluttershy will say their vows. Afterwards, they'll exchange rings, and then seal the marriage with a kiss. Then, the festivities will begin! Let's practice it!" Octavia played her cello, and Fluttershy walked down the aisle. Once she reached Bashful, Twilight said her words. When finished, Fluttershy and her fiance gave their vows and rings, but didn't kiss. They were going to save that for the actual ceremony. "Good job, everypony! Remember what you have to do, because the wedding is tomorrow!" Twilight reminded. It was the day of the wedding. The wedding party was getting ready when it was time for the ceremony. Octavia played the Wedding March, and Fluttershy walked down the aisle alone. Both her parents had died when she was a filly, so her father couldn't give her away. Soon, she approached Bashful, who was dressed in a tuxedo. Twilight cleared her throat before she spoke. "Mares and gentlecolts, we're gathered here today to see the union of Fluttershy and Bashful. The strength of their commitment is clear; the power of their love, undeniable. Do you, Bashful, take Fluttershy to be your lawfully wedded wife?" "I do," Bashful answered cheerfully. "And do you, Fluttershy, take Bashful to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Twilight asked. All eyes were on Fluttershy as they waited for her answer. The mare couldn't take it, and she began to sweat. "I-I-I... can't! I can't do it!" Fluttershy screamed, and she ran out of the room. Bashful rushed after her. Eventually, Fluttershy found a quiet place to hide in, but Bashful found her. "Fluttershy, what was that all about?!" he demanded. Tears formed in Fluttershy's eyes as she spoke. "I'm sorry. I want to continue this wedding, just... not in front of everypony." Bashful then understood. "So, what you're saying is that you want to go in a private room and continue the wedding?" "Yes," Bashful smiled slyly. "How about we continue right here?" Fluttershy smiled. "Okay. I do." Fluttershy then picked up a wedding ring. "With this ring, I be wed," Bashful copied her words and actions. Afterwards, they kissed fiercely. They both walked back in the room, ready to sign the marriage certificate. "Whoa," Harmony uttered. "It was different from most weddings..." Fluttershy started, wincing at a pair of kicks. "But it was our wedding," Bashful finished. "Let's see if Brownie will eat now," Harmony said. Lucky for her, he did. > Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry's Wedding > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Firework played outside with her sister (who is two years younger than her), Starburst, and their brother (who is one year younger than Starburst), Firebeam. "Stop using your fancy magic and come fly with me! I'm not an Alicorn like you two!" Firebeam yelled at his sisters. "But magic is fun!" Firework insisted. "Yeah! And, like Mom was, I'm a terrible flyer!" Starburst argued. "I'll teach you!" the young prince said. "Are you saying we're horrible flyers?" "Maybe I am! At least I listened through Mrs. Rainbow's lessons!" Firebeam hollered. The siblings kept arguing until their parents, Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry, walked outside. "If you three keep arguing, we're going to have to tell you another story," Twilight said. The siblings covered their ears. "LA, LA, LA, LA, LA!" they screamed. Flash chuckled. "Don't worry. This is going to be one you haven't heard about. Our wedding!" He and his wife began the story they were sure their children would like. Twilight and Flash arrived in the Crystal Empire with Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Flash's brothers, Flicker, Wispy, and Light. Spike was also among them. The eleven went to the castle, for Twilight's parents, Night Light and Twilight Velvet, and her brother and sister-in-law, Shining Armor and Princess Cadance. Cadance was going to preside the wedding. "Okay, everypony! There are lots of preparations to be made! But we'll do them tomorrow. It was a long ride." Twilight explained. Everypony retired to their rooms. The next morning, Twilight was awaken by a knock on her door. "Come in!" she called out wearily. Flash walked in. Twilight brightened up. "Hey, Flash!" "Hey. Um, we need to discuss something." "Of course," "Um, Sunset Shimmer came back," he said. Twilight looked confused. "Okay. She can come to the wedding, but I thought she would stay in the human world." "Yeah, but... I'm marrying her instead," Twilight stood with her mouth agape. "What? But, I thought you loved me..." "Yeah, well, I realized that I loved Sunset even more. Sorry, Twilight. Don't worry, you can still watch." Flash left the room, with Twilight in a state of sadness. That afternoon, her friends knocked on the door. "Twilight! We have to try on your wedding dress! And you have to approve the dresses for the bridesmaids!" she heard Rarity say. "And ya have to check out the food!" Applejack called. Her other friends kept trying to get her out, until they heard a sound. A sob. "Twilight, we're coming in!" Rainbow Dash said, banging the door down. That was when the six (Spike was with them) saw Twilight on her bed in the fetal position, crying. "Twilight! What happened?" Fluttershy inquired. "Flash and Sunset Shimmer happened! Flash came in my room this morning and said that Sunset Shimmer came back and, and he said he's marrying her!" Twilight cried. The girls and dragon gasped. Rainbow stomped her hoof. "WHAT?! WE NEED TO TEACH THAT JERK A LESSON!" "No, Rainbow. Flash will be happy with Sunset. I want him to be happy. And I want to watch the ceremony. So tonight, we will watch Flash get married to Sunset Shimmer." Twilight objected. Even though they disagreed, her friends thought that if Twilight was happy, they were happy. That evening, they went to watch the wedding. Apparently, Cadance was fine with Flash marrying Sunset, because she was still presiding. "Mares and gentlecolts, we're gathered here today to witness the union of Sunset Shimmer and Flash Sentry. "Before we begin, does anypony object this marriage?" Rainbow couldn't hold it in and she yelled, "I OBJECT!" Sunset and Flash glared at her and green light ignited from them. Soon, they revealed themselves to be Changelings! The audience gasped. "Where's my fiance?!" Twilight demanded. The female Changeling approached Twilight. "I'm Bugamena, and this is Pepper. He and I are sorry, but Queen Chrysalis forced us. We don't know where Flash Sentry is. But Sunset Shimmer is still in the human world." Pepper, the male one, nodded. Right then, Queen Chrysalis appeared. She scowled at Bugamena and Pepper. "YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO TELL THEM THE PLAN!" She pointed her horn to the floor, and in a burst of green light, Flash appeared. "Flash!" Twilight cried. "Since my plan is ruined, I might as well give him back to you. But I will be back, Twilight Sparkle." Chrysalis glared at Twilight, then at the pair of Changelings. Once she, Pepper, and Bugamena left the scene, Twilight and Flash embraced. They both carried on with their wedding, with no interruptions. "Wow. You were right; we did like it." Firebeam gasped. "We knew you would," his father smiled. "Now can we continue our competition?" Firework asked. "What competition?" Twilight questioned. "The one on whether flying or magic is better," Starburst explained. "Oh, magic is way better," Twilight grinned. "No, flying is," Flash said. The family was in a friendly debate for the rest of the afternoon.
