For many Canterlot ponies the summer meant hot weather, vacation days on the beach, and even some work if they could manage to find time for it. However, not every pony enjoyed the summer fun that was to be had during this sunny season. Celestia, the princess of the sun, raised the bright orb into the sky to mark the beginning of the new day. It was the most important task of the day that thousands of ponies relied on each day. Immediately after the sun was raised, Celestia was needed elsewhere and wasted no time getting to where she needed to be. With the sun up, her busy day as princess of Equestria was just beginning. Much like any other day, today was chock full of time consuming and difficult tasks that weighed her busy head down with their responsibility. The busy princess was in the thick of her busy season. Summer was a difficult and grueling season that wore away even the long lasting endurance of the princess. When she was just finishing up with a diplomatic meeting, a civil dispute would call her attention. However hard she worked on finishing letters to the other princesses across the land, she would be called to the royal records to rearrange some jumbled paperwork. Countless tasks and the tiring work seemed to be endless. Around mid afternoon she found herself in her throne room. Celestia practically collapsed onto her throne, taking in a big breath of air as she was finally able to sit down. A full day of work still waited after this momentary break. Her most trusted royal scribe waited by the tired pony. The brown unicorn looked almost as tired as Celestia, but continued to hold his standing lose beside her. Despite his tired eyes, the schedule driven pony stood at the ready. "Are there any afternoon meetings today, Wordsmith?" She asked with a tired tone to the record keeper on her left. The brown unicorn floated a clipboard in front of him, flipping through a couple pages that were covered in words and numbers. "Uhm, no, your highness," he said with a respectable and well educated tone, "we have taken the liberty to rearrange your scheduling to meet somepony...special." Celestia raised up from her throne, "somepony special?" “She requested to speak with you privately,” he simply said, leading the way for the tired pony. The meeting was assembled in the Private Court, a more secluded part of the castle where secretive and confidential meetings were held. The room was large enough to comfortably fit the large round table that dominated the center of the room, easily fitting eight ponies around it. Celestia and a few members of her royal court seated themselves in the room minutes later, occupying the seats that faced the main door that acted as the room's only entrance. Word was sent out and this new pony was requested to attend. After only a few short minutes of waiting the tall, wooden doors opened, revealing a single pink unicorn who trotted into the hall. The mare had a certain glow about her, walking with confident grace that never came off as snooty or pretentious. She had a maternal charm to her, her feathered, cyan mane. "Good afternoon, Princess Celestia," the mare said with a deep, respective bow. "My name is Phosphor." “Well met, Miss Phosphor,” Celestia answered back with one of her own regal bows. “I was told you needed to speak with me?” "Why yes, your highness. I was made aware of your hectic schedule,” the pink pony began to explain, "I specialize in a special type of therapy that your royal staff have felt may help you in this stressful time. The therapy helps reduce stress with some minor lifestyle adjustments." "What sort of adjustments?" "Small stuff at first and the change will be subtle," Phosphor explained with a rehearsed presentation. "The aim is to bring your life back to a simpler, less stressful time," she continued, speaking with a gentle flow of words that helped flesh out her intentions, "the proper term is regression, and it has improved many of my clients' lives who now live practically carefree lives." Princess Celestia gave it pause, thinking the strange offer over. She could admit that her life lately has been a hectic one. She understood the weight that pressed on her shoulders and the stresses of everyday life. Now she found herself wondering if Phosphor really could help her. "Would you please excuse us for a moment?" "Of course," Phosphor graciously bowed her head, taking a couple steps backwards. Princess Celestia gathered in a huddle on the other side of the room with her royal court. Her record keepers and aids surrounded her as she consulted them. "Forgive me, princess, but we believe Miss Phosphor was right with her observations," one of her aids quietly said. "So you think I should actually go through with it?" Celestia asked the mare. "It's not my place to say," the other pony replied, looking at the other ponies for emotional support. "But...you work very hard, your highness. And Miss Phosphor's reputation precedes her." "It will just be for a little while," Wordsmith added, "if you don't like it in the end of the session you can simply go back to your old ways." "Maybe you're right," Celestia mumbled back, looking at the ground in thought. "I will allow Miss Phosphor to proceed with...whatever she does." With her decision made, the group simultaneously nodded, splitting up shortly after. Celestia returned to the table's edge, turning her attention to Phosphor. "After much consideration, I have decided to allow you to proceed with your plan. The smile on Phosphors face grew, "wonderful news! I will begin making the proper adjustments right away." And with that, the unicorn was off. After their conversation with one another, Celestia didn’t notice any immediate changes to her daily routine. Her busy schedule continued as it always did. She spent any free thought wondering what Phosphor was going to do. What could she possibly change in the princess’s life to make it less stressful? When it came to nighttime, Celestia soon found Phosphor’s first change. Upon entering her bedroom she found her large, regal bed was replaced with an adult sized crib. It was lovely painted a white containing starry sheets and a visible plastic sheet underneath the other soft sheet layers. Celestia wasn’t quite sure how to feel about the new bed. "A...crib?" "The beginning steps of my treatment, your highness," Phosphor added walking into the room behind her. "I don't quite understand how a crib can help me relax." "My other clients have found that sleeping in crib gives them an added sense of security." "So you want me to sleep in the crib every night now?" "Yes of course, your highness," Phosphor said before looking at a nearby wall clock. "speaking of which, it would be best to get you ready for bed." "So early?" "You'll be glad you did, sweetie. Trust me." Phosphor gave Celestia a warm smile before she continued, "tell you what. Just lay down and relax in your crib for a little bit. You don't even have to sleep if you’re not tired." With a blue glow of her horn, Phosphor slowly lowered the rails on one side of the crib, allowing access to the inviting, soft sheets inside. Celestia slowly climbed into it, taking a few hesitant steps onto the new mattress as she did. The mattress didn't feel any different from her old bed, save for the faint crinkle that came from the hidden plastic sheet. Sitting in it now, Celestia couldn't quite understand how being surrounded by a bunch of wooden bars would help her sleep better. "Have a good night, sweetie," Phosphor said as she raised the gate and locked it into place. "Goodnight, miss Phosphor," Celestia said back as she watched the other pony trot out of the room. The main nursery lights were turned off, allowing the gentle, blue glow of a nearby night light to illuminate the room. Celestia laid on her back, staring up at the ceiling from her new crib. She wasn't sure what to think of the strange sleeping arrangement, let alone the new pony who now called the shots in the name of relaxation therapy. She took in a deep breath of air, letting it out slowly as her body relaxed into the warm bed sheets. The sheets felt surprisingly softer than what she was use to and she couldn't recall the last time she was able to get her body so still before. She always felt the need to be doing something right up to the very edge of exhaustion. After quickly reasoning that she’d be stuck there until Phosphor came back, Celestia decided to rest her eyes, just for a minute or two. However the resting of her eyes turned into a light nap and before she knew it, she slept through the night. > Chapter Two > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hard Working Princess Chapter Two By Scribe Feather ✶✶2✶✶ Celestia slept, for lack of a better phrase, like a baby that night. She couldn't recall the dreams that her relaxed mind dazzled her with, but she could remember the lingering good feelings they left behind. Every night was spent like this, leaving the princess refreshed and rejuvenated.. She slipped effortlessly into her dreams every night and was able to slip back to being awake every morning. The crib seemed to bring a sense of security and peace to the stressed mind of the princess. Other than the peculiar change to her sleeping arrangements, life for the Princess of the Sun continued as usual. Her nerve-racking work continued like always, however she noticed a considerable reduction of stress from a good night's sleep. She was rather embarrassed to admit it, but sleeping in a foal's crib had actually helped her a lot. However Phosphor didn’t stop there. Another strange addition to Celestia's daily routine was the new training potty that now sat in her bathroom. It seemed redundant to have the big plastic furnishing sitting across from the real toilet, but Phosphor seemed insistent. With this new addition also came new rules to which Phosphor was quick to recite for the busy princess. "This bathroom will remain locked when not in use, except at night so you don’t have to wake anypony up," Phosphor explained as a guard placed the large plastic training potty on the bathroom floor. "If you need to use the potty you'll have to find me." "But what if it's an emergency?" Phosphor answered back with an understanding tone. "You need to learn to rely on me for it. Its an important part of your treatment." Celestia appeared uncertain about all these changes and Phosphor was quick to notice. "I will come by and check on you every now and then. Your body will get into the rhythm soon enough." Even with Phosphor giving her sound reasoning on the choice, Celestia still had her doubts about the choice. The pink plastic training potty stood out among the regal and white features of the bathroom. She already knew it’d be incredibly embarrassing to use the childish thing every time, let alone asking for permission to do so. “Would you like to try it out now?” Phosphor interrupted Celestia’s train of thought. “Well I don’t really need to go that badly...” Celestia stared at the pink “All the better to test it out,” Phosphor answered. “Come now, I’ll help you.” Celestia’s cheeks grew pink as Phosphor took her by the hoof like a child. By the other pony’s guiding hoof she found herself gliding closer towards the childish toilet. She slowly lowered herself onto the large hunk of plastic, shivering for a moment as the cool plastic made contact with her butt. The potty chair was an unusual place to sit for the regal pony. It’s stouter height made her legs bow out in front of her, making her feel like she was squatting more than sitting. Her cheeks burned warmly with embarrassment as she sat there on her pink throne. She stared at the ground the entire time, wanting to avoid making eye contact with Phosphor who patiently waited at the door. A long ten minutes passed by as the two ponies waited in silence. Throughout this time Celestia begged her body for cooperation, desperately trying to coax it into using the plastic potty. Strong mental barriers kept her bladder from releasing, no matter how full she perceived it to be. Every now and then she would look up from her plastic throne and see Phosphor watching patiently from the doorway. The unicorn would still have that patient, warm smile on her face no matter how long the wait was. After waiting for so long for her body to obey, Celestia finally opted to closing her eyes, mentally flushing any worries she might of had to give her a blank mind. Another ten minutes passed, the alicorn’s body still refusing. However in the blankness of her mind, she felt she was making some progress. Slow and tedious progress, but progress all the same. As if answering her prayers, a hollow hissing sound suddenly erupted from inside the potty’s container. Her bladder finally started to listen to her commands, releasing itself into the plastic basket that hung inside the potty. She refused to open her eyes however, convinced that one glance up at Phosphor would make her pee shyness strike back with a vengeance. The loud hissing continued for a solid minute until it finally trickled to nothing. With the embarrassing and stressful task completed, Celestia finally opened her eyes. She turned to face Phosphor, who smiled at her proudly from her spot by the door. “All done?” the unicorn asked gently. “I-I think so,” the princess meekly answered. “Was it that so bad?” “I guess not,” Celestia answered. Looking back at it now, the ordeal of using a training potty instead of the normal one wasn’t THAT much different. If anything it was only five feet away from her usual spot. The biggest threshold was the fact that she’d be supervised from here on in. “Why don’t you go get cleaned up and ready for bed. It’s about that time,” Phosphor chimed in. Celestia pulled herself up from the training potty, catching a faint glimpse of the pool of yellow water that floated inside the training potty. “B-but what about-?” “I’ll clean up the mess, sweetie. Don’t you worry,” Phosphor gave Celestia another warm smile before guiding her out the room. “O-okay,” Celestia complied, finding a hint of solace in knowing that she had somepony to look after her like that. Without another word, she shuffled off to her bedroom. After only a few weeks of the new sleep schedule Celestia found herself getting use to the extra hours of sleep. She would become tired earlier in the day and the nightly routine that Phosphor walked her through became second nature before she knew it. She didn’t put up a fuss when Phosphor helped her get ready for bed each night, finding the pony easy to rely on. In fact she practically expected it, waiting patiently for the unicorn to lower the crib gate every night. She complacently allowed the other pony to tuck her in every night. “Goodnight, sweetie,” Phosphor softly said, raising the crib gate. “Goodnight Phosphor,” Celestia said with a yawn, snuggling into the warm blanket that was draped over her body. The overhead lights were turned off and in a matter of minutes she drifted off to sleep. The room silence faded out of her conscious and was slowly replaced with chirps of little birds and the rustling of leaves. Suddenly Celestia found herself standing on a small bridge, one that stretched across a wide river bed and connected two sides of a thickly wooded forests. The numerous leaves that filled the many branches overhead were richly green and healthy as they vibrated in the gentle breeze. Colorful birds fluttered from one branch to the next, chirping away their little songs that reverberated off the quiet world. Celestia paused for a moment to listen to the little birds, calmed by their music and relaxed by their simplistic fluttering. She took in a steady sigh, breathing in the fresh, outdoor air. She then peeked over the bridge's railing, the sturdy wood holding firmly against her weight. She diverted her attention to the little stream that trickled down the wide, rocky river bed beneath the bridge. It was rather odd to see such a thin stream flowing through a wide river bed and even odder to build a bridge over something so small. As she watched it more and more, the thin ribbon of water began to widen. Steadily more water began to flow under the bridge. In a matter of minutes, the little stream turned into a wide, slow moving river that better matched the pebble covered river bed. Instead of wondering how such a river could grow so quickly and yet so calmly, Celestia felt at peace. She leaned against the sturdy wooden railing and sighed, listening to the flow of water and the chirps of the birds. The dream suddenly fell away and was quickly swapped with reality. With tired, stinging eyes, Celestia awoke from her slumber. A cold, wet patch could be felt around her waist. A tentative hoof lowered itself down onto the offending spot. It came back moist and much to Celestia's disbelief it smelled faintly of urine. "Im-impossible!" Celestia groaned, her hoof darting back down to the wet patch to confirm that she did in fact wet herself. With a glow of her horn, the crib gate was magically lowered as she hastily hopped out of the wet bed, her inner thigh quickly freezing in the nightly air. Celestia stared at the yellow patch on the mattress as her wet fur clung to her inner thighs. She felt humiliated, ashamed, almost terrified. She fought back small tears in the corner of her eyes as she stared at the mess. "M-miss Phosphor!" She heard herself weakly force out. In the distant castle rooms she could hear movement. Her pink tinted ears followed the hoofsteps through the nearby rooms and down the connected hallway. Shortly after Phosphor was entering her room, staring at the white alicorn in her embarrassed state. Now with the other pony there and staring at her embarrassing display of bed wetting, Celestia felt a crushing feeling of shame fall upon her. Her voice shook only a tiny bit as she did her best to hold it back. "I...I just don't know what happened!" "Oh sunny bun," Phosphor cooed, trotting to the crib to inspect the damage. She avoided looking at the large wet spots that stained Celestia's rump to keep whatever was left of the alicorn's pride intact. "I was afraid this would happen," she nodded, "I shouldn't have let you go to bed without protection. It was only a matter of time," she stated as she shook her head to herself. She then turned to the other pony, patting Celestia’s cheek as she comforted the princess. "Well, I suppose this is a good indication. We'll be moving to the next step then." With that said, Phosphor trotted to the closet. As Celestia did her best to recuperate herself, Phosphor dug through the boxes inside. She then pulled out a soft plastic box and brought it over to the princess. The box was bright pink with white fluffy clouds dotting it's eye catching shell. With the use of a vibrant, cloud shaped font, the words 'Dry Clouds Pull Ups' could be seen on the front. "Y-you mean I'll have to..." "I'm afraid so, sweetie," Phosphor said as she gently placed the pack of pull ups on the ground, ripping a slit on the top. "Tell you what, you can put this one on yourself. No help from me at all!" Celestia sighed a defeated sigh, taking hold of a pull up from the pack and floating it in front of her. The crinkling garment didn’t seem all that thick, but the humiliating design made it difficult for her to hold back the shame that swelled up inside of her. A crib was one thing, but wearing a pullup with little flower shaped wetness indicators seemed to be unnecessary. "Oh sweetie, it won’t be hard, I promise," Phosphor consoled the alicorn, giving her a light hug, "getting use to wearing pull ups is an important step in your treatment." Celestia hugged Phosphor back, feeling a little bit better about her predicament while in her caretaker’s hold. Meanwhile Phosphor proceeded to magically float the pull up out of the alicorn’s hooves. She continued to pat Celestia’s back as her magic floated the pull up down to her feet. With careful and well practiced levitation, she slowly threaded Celestia’s hooves through the pull up, tugging it up between her legs. Celestia was fully aware of the invading pull up and had half a mind to refuse. But once the crinkling thing was securely around her rump, she found it less intimidating. It felt thinner than she expected, almost nonexistent considering how her worried mind made it out to be. And with the extra padding around her waist, she felt protected, less likely to have this sort of accident happen again, and in a strange way relaxed. Phosphor continued to console the princess, occasionally patting her back and insuring her that everything was going to be okay. With another glow of her horn, she quickly changed the sheets of the crib, swapping the starry printed sheets out for a brighter colored one with little flowers dotting it’s surface. “Good as new,” she said as the old bed sheets floated next to her head in a ball. Celestia felt a little better with the pull up and the fresh sheets to sleep in. At least she wouldn’t have to smell urine while she slept. With quiet crinkles from her pull up accompanying her, she climbed back into the crib, allowing Phosphor to lovingly tuck her in under a fresh, warm blanket. "Sleep tight, sunny bun," Phosphor said as she flicked the bedroom lights out. "G-g'night," Celestia quietly said back, wiping the last watery eye she'd be having tonight. > Chapter Three > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hard Working Princess Chapter Three By Scribe Feather ✶✶3✶✶ The new addition of pull ups were more of an extra precaution that Celestia now wore every night. She could have sworn that wetting the bed was a one time fluke, probably a result of drinking too much before bed or something. However Phosphor was insistent, not wanting a repeat of that single night. Even when she needed to go in the middle of the night, she always made it to the training potty, to which she used without an issue. The crib's gate could be easily lowered from the inside and she never ended up using her pull ups for many nights. But Phosphor continued to put her in them so before she climbed into her crib, Celestia would have one on before turning in to bed every night. Luckily every morning Celestia would come up dry. She would feel a quiver of pride swell up in her every time she did so. The praise Phosphor gave her for keeping her pull up dry was enforcing of that as well. After a while Princess Celestia found herself expecting the praise, finding peace in the acknowledgment of a job well done. “Why don’t we go out for a little fresh air,” Phosphor said one morning, “you've been cooped up in this stuffy castle for far too long.” “No, I couldn't. My schedule’s too full as it is,” Celestia hesitated “I told your advisers you were taking a short afternoon break,” Phosphor rebuttaled, “a nice walk around the private gardens would do you some good. They’ll be fine without you for a few hours.” “I suppose...” “And you’ll be wearing your pull ups,” Phosphor quickly added. Immediately the white alicorn self consciously looked around embarrassed, almost as if acknowledging her night time protection made it known to the world. "N-no no! I can not go out in public wearing...this!" "It's only out into the private gardens, sweetie." Phosphor calmly said, "besides, you need the fresh air." The private gardens was a small patch of green found in the middle of the castle’s design. The area was decorated thickly with colorful plants, tastefully arranged by the royal grounds keepers. Dark green flowered ivy and other wall climbing plants lined the parameter of the open area, giving it a earthy and secluded feel. A handful of ponds and hearty trees dotted the area, providing shade and filling the air with the calming sound of running water. Phosphor guided the bashful Princess Celestia out into the grass covered area. Wearing a pull up in broad daylight had made the princess fearful of being seen, fruitlessly trying to hide behind the smaller unicorn. Despite the hesitations of her companion, Phosphor lead the two to a shady patch of grass that hugged a small brook. Celestia took in the fresh breeze with a deep breath of air as she seated herself on the ground. Phosphor seated herself next to the princess, assuring the alicorn with her warm smile and understanding expression. At first Celestia was tense, afraid that the walls had eyes and everypony in Equestria was staring at her and the crinkling pull up around her waist. But as time went away, so did her woes and worries. She began to take steady breaths of the open air and took in the calming sounds of the babbling brook. “You put less tension in your brow when you’re relaxed. Do you know that?” Phosphor’s voice chimed in, causing Celestia to perk up from her spot by the water. “Do...I?” She replied. “Stress isn't just a mental thing. It’s a physical one as well. When a pony carries heavy stresses on their minds, their bodies feel the weight.” “I must ask,” the curious princess started, “where did you learn so much about caring for ponies?” “I like to think that I've always had a knack for caring for others, for mediation,” the pink unicorn began to explain, “but I have the Zebra to thank for truly understanding my potential.” “You lived with the Zebra?” “As a young mare, yes. I lived many years in a Zebra city as an apprentice for a medicine mare. You learn a lot about a pony’s body and mind in that position.” “May I ask where?” “You likely haven’t heard of it. Even with your royal title, your highness.” Phosphor then turned to look at the padded princess and smiled, “what about you, sweetie? Have you felt my treatment has helped you?” “I must admit the treatment is a bit...unorthodox,” the princess started as she looked down at the pull up between her legs, “but it does seem to be making small improvements.” “Good to hear, sweetie. That’s great news,” “you may not know it yet, but you’ll grow use to the treatment, don’t worry. Soon all this will come natural to you and you’ll be able to enjoy life with so much less stress.” “You really think acting like a foal will help me in that manner?” “I believe it will change your life for the better. You carry too much on your shoulders, Tia. I hope to help you carry the weight.” Phosphor looked to the princess with a trusting expression in her eyes. She’d be here to change Celestia’s messy diapers if it had to come to that and in a strange way, Celestia found comfort in knowing that. After spending a good part of the morning sitting outside with Phosphor, Celestia decided it was best that she move along and start her daily routine. Thankfully, Phosphor didn’t force her to wear the pull up any longer after that. Once she left the private gardens the pull up was removed as well without a single word of objection from her caretaker. The daily workload was heavy as expected. The busy schedule of the princess was a tiring one filled to the brim with tasks that needed seeing to. Appointments with her royal subjects took up the bulk of her day, having her spend the time sitting in her throne and listening to common folk to present their problems to her in hopes for a solution. In many cases she was able to stifle their woes, but with every problem given to her, Celestia took to it with an open heart, almost as if she was experiencing the problem. Other than the time consuming task of tending to the common folk, Celestia’s day was also filled with political meetings with other country diplomats which usually took the form of royal dinners or heavily guarded escorts around the city. The security around these responsibilities were always necessary in their numbers, but it was stressful to manage such a crowd and keeping them safe. Whenever she found herself overwhelmed with stress, Celestia recalled that very morning when she sat in the private gardens with Phosphor. Just the memory was enough to bring back the calming sensations that the scene gave her. She felt her muscles loosen up when she thought back to it and she found herself easily taking in deep breaths. The memory recollection seemed to give her a tiny boost of energy to continue her exhausting responsibilities. At the end of it all, Celestia was left drained of energy, practically collapsing at the end of the day when her schedule dried up and tasks were rescheduled for tomorrow. When her early bedtime came, Celestia found herself dragging her body into her sleeping quarters. Despite the exhausting work that left the pony with a troubled mind and aching body, she found some solace in knowing that bedtime was just around the corner. As always, Phosphor was in her bedroom when Celestia arrived. A pull up floated by the unicorn’s head as well in preparation. The planned process made the white alicorn smile as she entered. “Ready for bedtime?” Phosphor asked with the same warm smile she always wore around the princess. “Mhmm,” Celestia answered before opening her mouth wide for a big, tired yawn. She rubbed a sleepy eye with a forehoof, lazily taking the last steps needed to get up to her large crib. Phosphor smiled softly as the pull up floated through the air. With careful precision, Celestia’s back hooves were threaded through the pull up’s leg gatherers without a single word from the princess. She simply stood there as Phosphor expertly pulled the crinkling garment up her legs and around her rump, securely placing it tightly against her rump. At the same time the crib’s gate was lowered with a bluish glow. Celestia aptly climbed into the crib, digging into the warm, fluffy blankets that waited for her inside. The princess quickly made herself comfortable, taking a big deep of breath and letting out oh so slowly. A smile grew on her face as she looked to her caretaker. Her caretaker smiled back, “have a good night, sunny bun,” she said before her magic pulled up the crib’s gate. “Goodnight, Phosphor,” Celestia answered back before yawning again. The room lights were then turned off, much like many nights before. Soon Celestia was left alone and in the warmth of her crib she drifted gently off to sleep. Her dreams started shortly after. She awoke in her dreamscape to find herself in the middle of a grassy field. Thousands of colorful flowers covered the landscape, practically drowning out the overall green color of the grass. The various colors gently swayed in the wind as gusts of it tickled the rolling hills around her. She couldn't smell any of the flowers no matter how hard she tried. A plucked flower was quickly replaced with a new one before her eyes. She looked outwards to the horizon, following the flood of many colors far into the distance. The flowery fields stretched onwards into the distance, unbroken by any trees or mountains. The expanse of land only had the horizon line to compete with as it faded into the distance, out of sight. She then looked above her spot on top of the hill. She watched the fluffy clouds float overhead like balls of weightless cotton. The sun casted shadows on the fields around her as a cloud occasionally covered it’s warm light. Suddenly the fluffy clouds turned black and they began to multiply in numbers. The clouds began to expand quickly, swallowing the blue sky in a thick, dark gray blanket. Rather abruptly Celestia was thrusted awake by a sharp pain in her bladder. She suddenly felt a strong urge to go and that was the only thing in her half awake mind she could focus on. In a bolt of energy, the white alicorn kicked off her covers, lowered the crib gate and jumped out of bed. She dashed for the bathroom and quickly made a beeline for the training potty. Fully awake she would have been opposed to such an idea. She probably would have even thought to run off and find another bathroom with an actual toilet in it. But for the sleepy Celestia, bedhead and all, the training potty was a godsend. Wasting no time at all, she quickly plopped down onto the potty, her bladder letting go mere seconds after doing so. She took in a deep breath and leaned back. She made it. However, that thought was quickly derailed when she felt a creeping warmth flood her backside. On another note, she failed to hear the familiar piddling sound of her urine stream hitting the plastic tub that lined the inside of the training potty. But that could only mean. Celestia suddenly gasped hopping up from her seat just in time to feel her bladder finish empty itself. Peering down, she saw not a drop of it made it into the potty. Instead, all of it soaked into the night time pull up that she failed to take off. She took a moment to look at her waist and sigh. The warm, swollen pull up was now completely yellow as it hugged her waist like a urine soaked pillow. "Oh no..." Out of nowhere the bathroom lights flicked on, revealing her sister, Luna. "Oh it's just you, Tia. What are you doing up so early?" The blue alicorn asked, "did you need to pee-?" Her words trailed off as her eyes trailed down to Celestia's saggy pull up. "O-oh..." There was an awkward pause as both of the ponies had enough time to register what was happening. "I-I'll just...get Miss Phosphor for you, alright?" Celestia was lost for words, frozen in place with her mouth hung open. Her sister left without another word, retrieving Phosphor for the paralyzed pony. "Luna told me you needed me for something?" Phosphor said, peeking her head into the bathroom. Her eyes locked on the swollen pull up that hung from Celestia’s waist. "Ah, I see." "I tried to use the training potty!” Celestia weakly defended, “I got out of bed and everything!" "It's alright, sweetie. It's alright," Phosphor consoled the princess with a caring hug, "I'm happy to see you use your pull ups instead of the potty. You're such a good girl and I'm proud of you." Celestia was guided back into her bedroom by Phosphor. She was still in shocked disbelief that she wet her pull up. The urine soaked garment sloshed against her rump with every step, reminding her of her slip up. Without saying anything else, Phosphor then proceeded to pull the used pull up down Celestia’s legs, making the alicorn jump in fright with a gasp. She quickly craned her neck to face the other pony, her face completely red with blush. “You said you got up from bed to use the potty,” Phosphor distracted the pony with small talk as she magically levitated the yellow pull up up into the air, rolling it into a tight ball. “I- Y-yes...Yes, I got up and got to the potty in time, but then I sat down and...” Celestia’s words trailed off into silence, not wanting to admit the foolish mistake. “Forgot to take off your pull up, sweetie?” Phosphor completed the thought as Celestia nodded in agreement. “Well there’s no need to worry about that, sweetie. If anything this is a sign that your body’s adjusting.” She continued explaining as she threw away the old pull up and pulled out a fresh one. "Next time you shouldn't have to worry about getting up to use the potty. I would rather have you use your pull ups in your crib then get up and and get so upset about not using the potty. I won't be angry." "B-but if I used my pull ups I'd-" "Be well behaved and I'd be proud of you, sunny butt," Phosphor finished the thought with a smile. "I'm always here to change you, remember that." Once the area was cleaned up, Phosphor opened a new pull up and threaded it up to Celestia’s body with quick and efficient hooves. Once a new pull up was put on the princess, she was guided back into her crib, carefully tucked in and lovingly cared for. “There we go, all tucked in. Would you like a drink to help you sleep? Some warm milk maybe?” “I think I should lay off the liquids for the night, Miss Phosphor,” Celestia answered with a bit of a blush. “I understand, nighty night, sweetie,” Phosphor answered as she left the room. “Nighty...night, miss Phosphor,” Celestia replied, slowly dozing back off to sleep. > Chapter Four > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hard Working Princess Chapter Four By Scribe Feather ✶✶4✶✶ Weeks went on and, before she knew it, Celestia found herself wearing pull ups every night. Even when Phosphor didn’t remind her, she found herself wanting to wear one. She felt much too exposed without one, naked even. When she wore her pull ups she felt at ease knowing there was protection at the ready whenever she happened to wet the bed. As the treatment continued, Celestia found herself wetting the bed more. The change was gradual at first, but eventually Celestia found herself waking up wet more than dry, but it didn’t worry her nearly as much as it did the first time it happened. Every time she woke up wet she would always remind herself that the bed was still dry. Even after an entire night’s worth of soaking, she could rely on her pull up to soak it all up. And in the morning Phosphor was always there to lower the crib gate and change her. She could distinctly remember waking up with a full bladder on some nights, fully aware of the dire need that her body pleaded her to meet. And on those nights she found herself staying in the crib. With a yawn and a sleepy rub of her eyes, the princess would simply soak her pull up, letting the urine soak into the material, and then pass out again without batting an eye. She never wanted to leave the warmth of her crib, nor go through the embarrassing ritual of going into the bathroom, pulling down her pull up and using the plastic training potty. This way was much easier and her sleepy mind found herself growing fond of it. Before long autumn teased Equestria with it’s changing weather. The land began to cool as the last days of summer were squeezed out of the year. The tree leaves in Canterlot were magically changed to their orange and brown autumn colors by unicorn magic in traditional ceremonies. Richy parties and balls were held all around town to commemorate the special event. The day was chock full of color changing ceremonies held around the city for the busy sun princess to attend. A rich unicorn’s party wasn’t worth it’s salt unless one of the royal sisters made an appearance. Taking turns with her sister, Celestia managed to attend a dozen of these parties. For this busy day, she wore pull ups under her party gown, but this time it was more out of necessity. At least, that’s what Phosphor seemed to think. The various parties left Celestia’s schedule haggard, no time to break off from mingling with Canterlot’s social elite to use the bathroom. The princess was hesitant at first, but Phosphor was quick to ease her anxiety, assuring her that nopony would know she was wearing. And as time went on, Celestia found that she was right. Nopony ever did seem to notice Celestia’s pull up, no matter how long she went on wearing one. She would receive compliments on her dress more than anything else. The princess flowing white gown that was tastefully trimmed with gold and silver. The most important detail of the dress was the long hemline that stretched over her back, down her long legs, and close to the floor. It kept the pull up out of sight and the noise level of the parties were never quiet enough for anypony to hear the pull up crinkle. The majority of the various events were spent talking with ponies or even having the honor of changing the first leaf to it’s autumn colors. When she wasn’t doing that, she would be partaking in the wide range of food and drink they served at the parties, politely accepting any samples of finger foods or drink glasses offered to her to avoid being rude. Phosphor insisted on attending alongside the princess, giving the alicorn a bit of an emotional parachute whenever things got too stressful. The experienced caretaker seemed to have some kind of telepathy with her charge, helping Celestia when she got too anxious and to change her pull ups whenever the need arose. Fortunately for the princess, those opportunities were rare and very far in between. Whenever Celestia drank just a little too much and found herself accidentally dribbling into her pull up, Phosphor would always be there to assure her that everything was alright. Celestia would always break away from the party to get her pull up changed before it came close to leaking, something she was rather proud of pulling off successfully. Knowing Phosphor was always there to change her, Celestia allowed herself to relax. Before she knew it, the long, exciting day was drawing to a close. One final celebration of the autumn season was left on the itinerary for the day, and this one would be the biggest one yet. Hundreds of ponies prepared themselves for the grandest of celebrations being held at Canterlot Castle. All the parties and ceremonies leading up to it were merely small town festivals compared to the one assembled by the royal party planners. The party was held in the great hall, the finest location for Canterlot Castle’s big balls and banquets. The large room offered guests the best spectacles the castle had to offer, ranging from vibrantly designed stained glass windows and tall, white pillars that held up the high ceiling. Ponies could also enjoy leisurely walks around the castle grounds that surrounded the exterior of the hall, taking in the lovely scents of well kept flowers. The hall was thoroughly decorated for the ball, dressed up almost as elaborate as it’s guests. Half of the grand room was set aside for banquet seating, providing premium food and beverage for the guests to feast upon. The other half of the room was entertained by a string quartet that played steady songs for the fancy ponies to dance to. As the sun began to set, guests started to filter into the large room and Celestia was there to greet all of them. She remained tense where she stood, hyperly aware of the crinkling pull up that she wore. On the outside she remained calm and collective, politely greeting every new face with the practiced princess-like greeting. On the inside however, she was a torrent of mixed feelings and tense emotions. Part of her was acutely aware of every glance that came her way while another part was much too worried about whether or not her dress covered up the pull up. Some of her thoughts were occupied with kicking herself for allowing Phosphor to have her go out wearing such an infantile garment. Those feelings and a million others buzzed around her busy mind. "It would be in your best interest to relax, your highness," Phosphor’s voice politely chirped, snapping Celestia out of her headspace. "W-what?" The startled pony murmured. "It's a party, your highness. They're meant to be enjoyed," Phosphor ensured. “Nopony will notice your...choice in attire.” And with that said, Celestia did her best to mingle. She melted into the various crowds of the ball, making small talk with the guests. The conversation did well at distracting her from the crinkling garment that hugged her rump and for the occasional moment she would completely forget about it. Phosphor followed her about as she made her rounds, providing the princess much needed emotional support. "Princess Celestia!" A cheerful voice popped in, nearly making Celestia jump with a start. The white alicorn quickly turned to find a purple alicorn dressed in her own elaborate princess dress for the formal occasional. Beside her stood a pink alicorn, dress similarly in royal garb. "Tw-twilight!" Celestia needed only a second to regather herself. Once she had her thoughts in order, she started again with an elegant bow. "Princess Twilight Sparkle. It is a pleasure to see you again. Good to see you too, Princess Cadance." "The pleasure's all mine, Princess Celestia," Twilight answered back with a smile. She didn't seem to notice Celestia's pull up or be bothered by it if she did. “It’s lovely seeing you again, Princess Celestia,” Cadence added. The purple alicorn then turned to Phosphor, politely bowing to the pony with similar princess grace. “Good day to you as well, miss...” "We haven't been formally introduced," Phosphor said before taking a polite bow, "My name is Phosphor, I am the new royal caretaker." "Caretaker? You mean like...?" Cadance's words drifted off as she looked at Phosphor. They exchanged looks before Cadance shyly blushed. "So you help Celestia and Luna relax?" Twilight chimed in. "In a way," Phosphor answered calmly, "for now I've focused most of my energy on Princess Celestia and I do think we're making progress." Celestia faintly blushed, throwing a glance over to the pink unicorn. They exchanged a quick glance at one another before returning to the conversation. “And where is Princess Luna?” Cadance started, “I heard she loved the autumn season.” “My sister has been working very hard recently,” Celestia said, “I’m afraid she was unable to make it to the party tonight.” The conversation took it's natural stride after that. The four ponies involved chattered away about a variety of topics, enjoying each other's company at such a fancy ball. Celestia even started to enjoy herself, feeling stimulated with the first adult conversation she had in weeks. She happily added to the conversation, quietly sipping the delicious banquet punch in their dainty glasses. It took no time at all for her to completely forget about the pull up between her legs. However like all good things, that quickly came to an end. A faint trickle was suddenly heard as water dribbled close by Celestia. She then noticed something warm slithering down the inside of her legs, causing her to stand ramrod in place. "Princess Celestia?" Twilight was the first to notice. "I-I...I," Celestia's mind panicked, feeling her urine puddle pool around her ankles. "I have to go!" In an instant, Celestia dashed away, leaving behind a faint trail of urine behind her. The other ponies stood there dazed, not knowing how to properly react. Celestia dashed through the halls of Canterlot castle as quickly as she could. She kept running until she reached the emptier part of the castle, not a pony in sight. It was just lucky for her that her bedroom was close by, far away from the noise of the party and her embarrassing accident. Finally in the safety of her own room, tears began to swell up in the alicorn's eyes. She couldn't believe how much that encounter shook her core. She was practically rattled from the experience. Even when her adult mind knew very well that a little spectacle like that wouldn't matter in the end and ponies like Twilight and Cadance would understand an accident when they saw one, something in Celestia's mind made her eyes tear up from it all. Ashamed of herself, Celestia buried her face into a pillow, quickly getting it wet with her tears. The pillows helped muffle her humiliated cries and whimpers. There was a quiet knock on the door, shortly followed by the door slowly opening and closing. "Are you alright, Tia?" It was Phosphor's voice, speaking with a compassionate tone. "You left so suddenly." "Everypony saw!" Celestia yelled up from her spot on the bed. "My pull up leaked and everypony saw." "Oh, sweetie. Don't worry about that, accidents happen." "I can't do this anymore!" Celestia pounded the mattress with a hoof. "I can't keep soiling myself in front of everypony like some kind of...! Some kind of stupid foal! It's humiliating!" "Only because you see it as humiliating, sweetie." Phosphor closed the gap between the two of them, sitting on the edge of the bed. "You’ve made so much progress, honey. I’m proud of you for being such a good girl." "No! I'm more stressed than ever! I can't do it anymore!" Celestia yelled, angrily slamming her face back into the fluffy pillow. There was a long pause as the two sat there in silence. Celestia quietly whimpered into the pillow as Phosphor patiently waited by her side. "You know, Princess Cadance went through the same treatment as you," Phosphor finally said. "R-really?" "Mhmm, and she had the same worries as you do." Phosphor nudged herself closer to the white alicorn. "Even more so. She was so terrified she'd be alienated by her peers if they ever found out. She was so frightened to go out in public that she always insisted on wearing something over the diaper." "But...Cadance was out there at the party?" "Likely wearing a thick diaper under that dress as well." Phosphor said with a friendly smile, winking a teasing wink. "Probably stinky too." She illustrated this comment with a dramatic gesture of holding her nose with a hoof. Celestia smiled and felt a little giggle slip out. "You really think so?" "Definitely," Phosphor replied with a light chuckle, "so I'm sure everypony was too busy running away from her stinky butt to even notice your little accident." "I-I guess so..." Phosphor let out a friendly chuckle, "I know so, sweetie. Now how 'bout we get you out of that leaky pull up?" Celestia sniffled, wiping another tear out of her eye before she nodded. Her dress was pulled up away from her waist, exposing the well used pull up that sagged there. She gently laid herself on the floor, legs spread out in the typical diaper changing position. “There, you see, it’s just a soggy pull up,” Phosphor consoled the other pony, rolling up the swollen garment into a tight ball and throwing it out. With a glow of her horn, Phosphor pulled out a thick diaper from the nearby bag. The crinkling garment was noticeably thicker than Celestia’s pull ups "Can't I just wear another pull up?" Celestia meekly asked with a blush. "I don’t want you having any more accident, sunny bun. These diapers are much more absorbent than your pull ups.” The pink unicorn held up the diaper for the indecisive alicorn to inspect. “Plus we won’t have to pull you away from your friends to change you as much.” Hesitant at first, Celestia finally raised her legs up into the air, allowing Phosphor to slip the diaper underneath her. Her rump was lovingly kept aloft by the fluffy padding. Phosphor gave the area a generous amount of baby powder, the infantile scent tickling Celestia’s nose as it filled the room with it’s nursery scent. Once freshly powdered, Phosphor pulled the fluffy garment up between Celestia’s legs, taping it securely around her waist. Right away the diaper was vastly different than the pull ups Celestia had grown accustom to. The extra padding gently forced her legs apart, feeling like a pillow was taped around her waist. Now instead of simple wetness indicators on the crotch, the whole diaper was childishly decorated like a real baby diaper. For a moment she considered asking Phosphor why she couldn’t just wear plain white diapers, but something in the back of her mind stopped her. Now that she was free of that urine soaked pull up and given a fluffy diaper to wear, Celestia felt at ease. At the very least she felt better about the public accident and even managed to let a small smile break through her worry. "There's my happy foal," Phosphor chimed in, putting away the changing supplies, "now we're all cleaned up and ready to head back out." "B-but everypony saw-" "Your little...mess was cleaned up shortly after you ran off. I told your friends that you've been under a lot of stress lately and they completely understood." Phosphor affectionately consoled the princess. "Now come on, sweetie,” She said, extending a helping hoof to Celestia, “I bet they saved a big slice of cake just for you." Celestia sniffed, wiping the last remnants of tears out of her eyes. "That...does sound nice..." She was carefully pulled back up on her feet, the thick diaper swiftly hidden behind her dress. The extra padding had a slight bulge to it, pushing up the back of the dress a tiny bit more than the pull ups, but the multiple layers kept hidden enough. "Thank you, Phosphor." “You’re quite welcome, sunny butt. You’re a good girl,” the unicorn said with her trademark warm smile. Guided by her caretaker, Celestia found her way back to the ball, feeling immensely better about the situation. The loud chatter and music came rolling back as the two reentered the hall. Returning to the party was nothing like how Celestia was worried it’d be. Nopony pointed at her and the crowd didn’t gang up on her and call her names. The party continued as usual, barely even missing the princess for her brief break. Cadance and Twilight had already moved to their seats, snacking on plates of horderves that they managed to snatch from the extensive buffet tables across the way. They were situated at Celestia’s table, a regally dressed table located against the far wall. “Princess Celestia! You’re back!” Twilight chirped happily. She didn’t seem the least bit phased by Celestia’s recent outburst. Celestia composed herself and took her seat at the table. “Yes, I apologize for that. I had some...business that needed my immediate attention.” “We should be good for now,” Phosphor chimed in, sitting at the table as well. “You got here JUST in time! They started serving dessert not a few minutes ago,” Twilight beamed as she floated a plate down Celestia’s way, “we saved you some of the sweets.” Celestia smiled at the other alicorns’ generosity and nodded in appreciation. She then turned her attention towards the plate in front of her. The fine china plate had delicious and delectable desserts piles high on top of it. The wide variety of puffs, pies, and cakes made Celestia’s mouth water in anticipation. Business returned to normal, nopony even mentioning Celestia’s embarrassing flare-up. Celestia melted back into delightful conversation with Cadance and Twilight while she enjoyed the sugary sweets in front of her. Nervous at first, Celestia began contributing to the conversation as she did before. Nopony seemed to notice her diaper no matter how worried about it she got. No matter how much her troubled mind wanted to amplify the fact that her new diaper was much thicker than the pull up, she found nopony made a fuss about it. After some time passed, and after she had feasted on some of the sweets, Celestia began to relax. Conversation with the other princesses continued like it did before. Nothing seemed amiss among the group and Celestia found herself enjoying the party once more. Her listening was suddenly derailed as a painful burn began to swell up in her stomach. The sharp sting caused her to gasp quietly which only Phosphor seemed to notice. The pink unicorn looked up in concern. “Sweetie? Are you alright? You look ill.” “I-I’m fine,” Celestia quickly answered, “just...I just think some of that food didn’t agree with me.” Celestia made the horrible mistake of ignoring the sensation and putting it off until later. All that festive food from the countless parties she attended today had finally caught up to Celestia. The wide variety of snacks, drink, and finger foods seemed to all band together in one groan inducing knot in her stomach. The knot twisted tighter, growing in size inside the princess’s body. The creeping pain pulsed in her stomach as she tried to soothe it with some crackers and dip. When that didn’t seem to work, she tried to calm it with some delicious punch. Nothing seemed to work and as time went on, the pressure and the pain just got worse. “I-I’ll be right back!” Celestia suddenly yelped, dashing off away from the group. She quickly bolted towards the bathrooms while paying no mind to the looks she got from her irrational run. The bathrooms seemed to be miles away to the rushing princess. Far from where she started were two side hallways that branched off of the great hall and led to the restrooms. She managed to make her way to the quiet hallways, far away from the prying eyes of the party. Before she could move an inch farther, her body froze her in place, causing a chillful sensation to run down her neck. She was just glad nopony could see her in the small, out of the way hallway. Phosphor was close behind, a look of concern on her face. With a low level groan, Celestia submitted to the urge and began to push at her bowels. Her legs started to bow out as she took in deep breaths. Her face grew red as her eyes slammed shut in embarrassment. She grunted quietly, her tummy tightening as she submitted to the most infantile thing she’d ever done. Phosphor knew that pose right away. “So that’s the problem,” she simply commented. In one uncontrollable spasm, Celestia’s bowels began to push. Her diaper began to sag, filling up with her heavy mess as she uncontrollably filled it up. It continued to swell under her dress as she remained frozen in the humiliating position. It was just fortunate that she managed to get to a more private area. Phosphor gently consoled the princess, rubbing her back as Celestia helplessly filled her diaper. She acted as a look out for the diapered pony, insuring that she had the most privacy possible. Celestia continued to grunt softly as her bowels now moved on their own accord. She could feel her diaper pull at her waist, sagging profusely between her thighs. Her bladder also decided to take this opportunity to dribble a tiny bit as well, warming the middle of the diaper up. Her public diaper messing was over just as quickly as it started, leaving behind a stunned pony and a full diaper. Celestia looked at her diapered rump, still well hidden underneath the layers of dress. She couldn’t see it, but she could feel the heavy mess inside. Even then she was still shocked it happened. “I...I can’t believe it...I-” “Shh shh, it’s alright sunny butt. You needed to go and you used your diapers,” Phosphor was quick to comfort the speechless Celestia. “It’s alright, my good girl, we’ll just get you changed, alright?” “I-I...guess it’s good that I was wearing...that,” Celestia replied with a shaky voice, still feeling her face burn bright red. “That’s the spirit, sweetie!” Phosphor congratulated. She then craned her neck to look at a small wall clock that ticked quietly in the hall. “Sunny butt’s up so far past her bedtime,” she mused mostly to herself, “I’m thinking it’s time for bed, wouldn’t you think?” “M-mhmm,” Celestia simply nodded, blushing heavily. “Do you wanna say goodbye to your little friends before we go?” “Well...It would be rude if we didn’t...” Celestia reluctantly reasoned. Despite every fiber of her being screaming to run away and get changed immediately, Celestia walked back to her table. Every one of Celestia’s senses were now put on high alert as she moved. She could feel her diaper sway a tiny bit as she walked as normally as she could. She kept a steady pace, knowing very well that if she floated around the same spot for too long, her smelly mess would find its way through her dress and ponies would surely smell it. Cadance and Twilight looked her way once she returned. “I-I...will be calling it a night,” Celestia said, swallowing a big nervous knot. “It was a pleasure seeing you again, princesses. I do hope you will visit Canterlot very soon.” “Oh...it was nice seeing you too, princess,” Twilight nodded understandingly. “I hope you feel better, Celestia,” Cadance added, flashing Celestia a knowing smirk. Celestia paused to look at Cadance for a moment or two. Did she know? “It was a pleasure meeting you two as well. Thank you for having me,” Phosphor chimed in. “Until next time!” And with that Celestia and Phosphor made their way out of the great hall. Celestia noticed she now had a sizeable waddle as she walked back to her room. She tried her hardest to avoid making the mess in her diaper any worse than it already was. Phosphor was right there on her side to keep her steady and provide emotional support. “I hope you had fun,” Phosphor cheerfully said as they entered Celestia’s bedroom. “You were such a good girl today.” “I admit everything didn’t go...entirely as planned, but it was nice seeing the other princesses again.” “It’s like I told you, sweetie. You just needed to relax,” Phosphor said as she trotted over to the nearby closet. “nopony noticed your little diapers” “O-oh! Yes,” Celestia exclaimed, embarrassed that for a moment she actually forgot about the messy diaper. > Chapter Five > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hard Working Princess Chapter Five By Scribe Feather ✶✶5✶✶ After facing the few close calls at the royal ball, Celestia started to realize all this worrying was unnecessary. Nopony seemed to notice or care about her diapers and anypony who did, even her sister, didn’t seem all that shocked. Where she expected ridicule and ostracism she instead found tolerance and understanding. After a while, for those few ponies who very rarely saw her in padding, they grew use to a diapered princess. And as ponies around her grew use to her diaper wearing, so did she. Celestia became more and more accustomed to diapers as the months went by. Now it was hard to imagine the white alicorn without also having her in a diaper. Bedwetting was now an acceptable drawback in her treatment. She woke up with a wet diaper practically every morning and Phosphor would always be there with a fresh one to change her in. It was now much easier for Celestia to go in her diapers. If she concentrated really hard on it, she could control herself, but this wasn't always the case. Sometimes she entertained the fantasy of using the potty again, but those days seemed well behind her. Whenever her bladder did fill up completely, she would always choose to use her diapers rather than scurrying off to find a toilet. It was just more convenient that way. In public, Celestia kept her diapers covered by clothing, but she was much more relaxed about it. At first she would wear heavy dresses with long hemlines that nearly touched the floor, but this wardrobe choice was always physically taxing and hot to wear. With her confidence came shorter and lighter clothing which made diaper checks easier for Phosphor. Now she didn’t seem that bothered when a rogue wind blew her skirt up, exposing the rather full diaper underneath. Phosphor would always follow the princess closely as she continued her duties as a princess. The pink unicorn always carried a diaper bag with her that was kept well stocked with thick, puffy diapers. Celestia barely batted an eye when Phosphor would check her diaper or pull her away to change her. Things were starting to feel normal for the alicorn. After only a few short months, Phosphor could tell that Celestia was well on her way, taking hold of the treatment on schedule. She punctuated this wonderful news with some new clothes for the princess. Rather than being forced to wear the stuffy, traditional clothes that were thousands of years old, Phosphor treated the alicorn to some colorful, youthful clothes. Celestia couldn’t help but let a small smile slip through her muzzle as her reflection looked back at her. She was now dressed in a lovely yellow sundress, made of a light, flowy material. The fabric was covered in white flower prints, giving it a bright and youthful appearance. “Don’t we just look adorable,” Phosphor crooned, ”all pretty for our little play date today!” The comment made Celestia look up from her reflection, staring back at her caretaker with a puzzled look. “Oh, I didn’t tell you? Princess Cadance will be visiting us today,” Phosphor explained, “I think it’s come to a point in your treatment for some playtime with a like minded peer.” “Cadance is coming today?” Celestia’s cheeks heated up at the thought. “Her and her caretaker,” Phosphor added as she used her magic to make some adjustments to Celestia’s dress. “Now come now, sunny butt, it won’t be that bad, I promise. You’ll have lots of fun with your playmate.” As the day went on Celestia couldn’t get the embarrassing thought out of her head. Cadance looked so confident when she last saw her at the autumn. Maybe she wasn’t as far along in her diaper therapy as she was. Maybe she reverted somehow shortly after Phosphor completed her treatment. The worry and anxiety about her play date made it difficult for Celestia to focus on her princess work. She often found herself drifting off in her headspace with nervous thoughts. Throughout the day, she struggled to keep her workflow steady. Too many questions were left unanswered. When the time came Celestia and Phosphor waited for their guests in a spare conference room that was recently remodeled to act as a playroom for the diapered princess. The new playroom was equipped with everything that a playing toddler needed, enlarged to fit the bigger foals. It was a large room, providing plenty of space to run around in and was largely carpeted with a plush, light blue carpet. The leftmost wall of the playroom had numerous shelves well stocked with story books, blocks, and other colorful toys for adult foals to play with. For the past week or two Celestia was allowed to play around in this enlarged nursery to her heart’s content. It made her heart flutter every time Phosphor said she was allowed to after a tough day of princess work. Time seemed to fly by for the diapered princess when she was in this room. She could easily find herself spending hours in the room coloring or building little cities with her blocks. It was all relaxing and enjoyable for her. This would be the first time she actually shared all of it with another diaper wearer. Deep down, she felt a twinge of childlike greed stir in her. The regressed side of her was simultaneously excited to play with Cadance and hesitant about sharing her toys. Thankfully, she kept the bratty side of herself under control. The anticipation was agonizing for the princess as the two waited for their guests to arrive. She turned to Phosphor for some kind of guidance, even some kind of reassurance that everything would be fine. She felt kinda silly relying on her caretaker like this. Phosphor caught her staring out the corner of her eye, making Celestia snap back to staring straight ahead. The unicorn chuckled, “I know you’re nervous, sweetie, but you don’t need to be. Cadance was a sweet little girl when she was under my care and I’m sure she’ll be on her best behavior for your first play date.“ Celestia gave Phosphor a knowing nod. The assurance made her feel a little better about the situation. Maybe it wouldn’t be as bad as she thought. Suddenly there was a knock on the door, making Celestia’s ears perk up. “Ah, that should be them now,” Phosphor chirped. Celestia nervously fidgeted beside her, doing her best to shake off the nervous knots that built up inside of her. She watched as the door knob slowly turned, the anticipation of which made time slow down to a crawl. For a single fleeting second, she thought about backing down and hiding somewhere. Cadance came barreling into the room, narrowly avoiding tripping over her own feet. Her frilly, pink dress barely had time to react as the excitable pony bolted in. The diapered pony quickly closed the gap between the other two ponies, happily chirping when she arrived. “Hi Tia!” Her tone of voice made her sound like a toddler more than a princess of the Crystal Kingdom. “H-hi Cadance,” Celestia forced out, finding herself subconsciously inching closer to Phosphor for moral support. Behind the pink princess walked in a amethyst colored unicorn equipped with a heavy looking saddle bag. In stark contrast to the excited alicorn, the crystal pony was patient with her gait. “It’s wonderful that you’ve two made it,” Phosphor commented with a polite smile. “I know you have such a busy schedule.” The crystal pony spoke up with a similar, warm tone of voice as Phosphor. "Caddie, aren't you going to introduce me to your little friends?" "O-oh...Miss Phosphor, Tia, this is my caretaker, Gemcutter," Cadance motioned towards the crystal pony who calmly smiled back. "Nice to meet you," Phosphor answered back with a bow. “Oh the pleasure’s all mine,” Gemcutter replied with a similar bow. “I was tickled to hear that we were coming into Canterlot. I always wanted to see the city.” “You haven’t been to Canterlot?” Phosphor replied. “Not since I took little Caddie under my care,” the crystal pony responded, rubbing her cheek against Cadance’s, “my little pamper princess is quite the handful.” “Gemmy,” Cadance let out a squeaky whine, blushing softly as she moved her head away from the cooing pony. “Well there will be plenty of time for sightseeing later. You two must be exhausted from your trip,” Phosphor said, “why don’t we catch up in the sunroom with some tea and we’ll give these two some time to play.” “Oh tea sounds lovely!” Gemcutter smiled, pleasantly following the other pony out of the room. “Play nice you two!” She called out before the door slowly closed, giving the two princesses some privacy. The room fell under an awkward vale of silence once the two unicorns left. Celestia quietly sat there with a heavy blush, staring at the ground as she uncomfortably sat on the plush carpet floor. Cadance happily took her spot across from Celestia, looking to the other pony with excited anticipation. Despite the other pony’s obvious excitement, Celestia remained quiet, blushing deeply as she continued to stare at the ground. She had hoped that being around another diapered pony would help her feel less anxious, but seeing Cadance so much more carefree in her diapered state only brought uneasiness to her condition. A purple ball rolled into Celestia’s field of view, slowing just a few inches short of touching her. She looked up and saw Cadance staring at her from across the room. The pink alicorn wore a wide, excited grin, practically bouncing in place as their eyes met. Celestia looked away at first, blushing a bit more as she curled her legs up to better cover up the crinkling bulge between her legs. She shyly looked at the purple ball for a moment, trying to overcome the tense nerves that locked her limbs in place. Finally, after what felt like hours, Celestia pushed the ball back with a hoof, rolling it back to the smiling pink alicorn. Cadance giggled quietly before rolling the ball back. Again Celestia hesitated, but this time the pause was tremendously shorter. After some hesitation she rolled the ball back. The pace slowly picked up as Celestia thought less of her embarrassing state and more of the simplistic fun that came with rolling a ball back and forth. In a way, the game was hypnotic, relaxing, and allowed her to see the situation in another light. Away from all the royal functions and the prying eyes of the public, Cadance was noticeably more relaxed and carefree. Celestia could only assume that that sort of behavior was in her future if she continued with the therapy. Cadance happily giggled, flaunting her diaper and pink dress about like a toddler. She chased after the ball with childlike abandon, waddling slightly as she carried on. She didn’t seem to have a care in the world. After a while, Celestia found herself adjusting. She began to realize that she didn’t need to pretend to be grown up or stand with highly experienced poise. Here she didn’t need to worry about reputations or representing her nation to diplomats. It was just her and Cadance and a bunch of toys. Before long the two melted into their own childlike headspace. They effortlessly moved from activity to activity, happily enjoying each other’s company. When rolling the ball back and forth got boring, they moved on to coloring, and then blocks. The toys were haphazardly left out on the floor, quickly abandoned where they laid once the two diapered ponies found a new thing to play with. It was invigorating for Celestia to have a friend who was in the same situation as her. She felt herself slip into her little headspace deeper than ever before, feeling like a real foal at times. Her childish headspace hit it’s peak when Cadance suddenly ambushed her in the midst of their playtime. The pink pony giggled as she tacked Celestia, pinning her to the carpeted ground. “Gotchya!” Cadance giggled. Not ready to be defeated so easily, Celestia played along and pushed up against Cadance’s weight. She quickly rolled herself about, switching places with Cadance and pinning her to the ground. “Ha!” Celestia triumphantly exclaimed. “Are you two playing nicely in here?” Gemcutter’s voice suddenly chimed in, momentarily snapping Celestia out of her childish headspace. The alicorn shook her head to shake off the immature daze, blushing as her mature mind started to fact check her behavior. Wasn’t she a little too old to be rolling around like that? She awkwardly pulled herself off of Cadance, taking a few steps backwards before sitting down as elegantly as her diaper would allow. Gemcutter simply smiled and trotted her way into the room. “Don’t worry, I’ll let you two get back to your fun after a quick diaper check. Enjoying our little play date so far?” “It’s the best! Thank you so much for bringing me!” Cadance happily chirped, being polite to her host. “Glad to hear it, Caddie. Why don’t you stand up for me first? You’re always so leaky when we’re at home,” Cadance did as she was told even when blushing a deep crimson. “Gemmy,” Cadance whined quietly as she squirmed in place. “Shh shh shh,” Gemcutter hushed Cadance’s huffs, slipping a hoof through one of her leg gatherers. “Well you don’t look that full. We can hold off for a little while.” She then turned to Celestia, making the princess shrink down and blush. “What about you, sweetie?” Celestia gulped as her cheeks flared up. “Have you been enjoying Cadance’s company?” Celestia struggled to force out a response to the question as the unicorn slowly trotted closer. “W-well I...It’s been v-very fun having Cadance...uhm, playing with me.” “Mhmm, good,” Gemcutter passively said with a motherly smile, her horn glowing pink as Celestia’s dress hiked up over her back. “Has she been sharing her toys like a good girl?” Celestia gasped when a nosy hoof began to poke at her diaper. Gemcutter ran her hoof through a leg gatherer as the alicorn did her best to keep up with the conversation. “Sh-she’s been...nice enough to sh-share...” “Behaving yourself?” the crystal pony asked, taking an unusually lengthy time checking Celestia’s diaper. “I-I’ve been good,” Celestia forced out, resisted as much as she could not not harshly pull her rump away from the invading hoof. “And soaked too,” Gemcutter added before turning to Cadance, “Caddie, would you mind if I take your little friend off to get her diapers changed?” “Kay!” the pink alicorn happily spout out, hopping up to her feet and trotting over to the toy chest. Celestia was guided to a far side of the room, well out of earshot of Cadance who cheerfully played away. Gemcutter set up shop near the wall, floating her diaper changing supplies to the ground as she instructed Celestia to lay down with a hoof. Celestia blushed at how exposed the diaper change would be, but reluctantly laid herself down. “Phosphor has been telling me how well you’ve taken to your treatment recently. Been picking up quicker than usual,” Gemcutter spoke of Celestia’s personal business so casually as the diaper change began. “She was just telling me about how you’re messing your diapers in public now.” Celestia choked, “sh-she’s told you about that?” Her cheeks flared up as her mind clouded with worrisome possibility. What ELSE did the two gossip about? The well used diaper that hung between Celestia’s legs was informally untaped, flopping open once released. “Just some gossip between royal caretakers, sweetie,” Gemcutter replied, levitating a group of wipes into the air, “if it makes you feel better, I told Phosphor a lot about Cassie as well.” As the cool wipes began cleaning the urine soaked area, Celestia tried to get her mind off of it with some conversation. “She...seems rather well adjusted,” “Oh I would say so, she looks so cute in her little diapers,” Gemcutter commented with a chuckle and a smile. She spoke so freely of Cadance, like she was just any other foal. “Always so well behaved too. Well, as long as she’s had her nap, of course.” Her embarrassed mind hastily grabbed for any topics she could talk about that would keep the limelight off of her. “So uhm...h-how does Shining Armor feel about...all this?” It seemed a bit wrong of her to invade Cadance’s personal affairs like that, but she was thankful the conversation was steering away from her own. “He’s been very helpful with it all. I don’t think Cadance would have done it so quickly if it wasn’t for Shiny’s support,” Gemcutter chatted away as the soggy diaper was replaced with a fresh one. “he’s even changed a stinky diaper or two. Anything to help out.” The comment made Celestia blush. To think Shining Armor would do something so private. "And uhm...he doesn't mind? Changing diapers?" "Oh, he doesn’t mind at all! Quite the helpful colt!" "So uhm, did you make her wear a diaper to the Autumn Ball?" "She’s become rather dependant on her diapers. I wouldn’t be a good caretaker if I allowed her to waddle off on her own without a diaper. "You allowed her to go alone?" “Oh that night was a treat for her being so well behaved. She wanted to be a big girl and go at it all by herself.” Gemcutter continued to talk so casually as a container of baby powder floated into the air, dusting Celestia’s crotch with it’s scented powder. “So I allowed her, but not without a double thick diaper.” “She was double diapered?” Celestia asked shocked, rathered pleased to hear such news, but her curiosity caused her to continue. “Did she...use her diaper while at the party?” “Mhmm, almost leaking when she came back. She’s a cutie, but that girl can sure make one stinky diaper,” Gemcutter answered back, slowly pulling up the front of Celestia’s new diaper and taping it around her waist. “oh, but she wouldn’t like me gossiping about her like this. You can ask her yourself if you want to know so bad. I’m sure you’ll have some time to chat before your naps.” “O-oh...yeah,” Celestia said as she was helped to her feet. “I-I can do that too.” The two ponies returned to Cadance, who was already melted into her playtime, barely even noticing them return. “Caddie, it’s nap time,” Gemcutter said, stopping the hyper pony in her tracks. “Awww,” the pink alicorn moaned before letting out an involuntary yawn. “But I’m not even tired.” “Now now, sweetie. You know how you get without your nap,” Gemcutter talked to Cadance like a child, “it’s Tia’s nap time as well, isn’t that right, sweetie?” “O-oh, y-yeah,” Celestia answered back before yawning herself. Suddenly her body felt drained of its energy, already preparing itself for her scheduled naptime. The two diapered ponies were slowly ushered out of the room, away from the fun looking toys that laid scattered across the floor. Phosphor and Gemcutter worked together to herd the two alicorns into Celestia’s room where a second crib had already been set up. Celestia was walked through her normal pre-nap routine. Her diaper was checked one last time by Phosphor before her crib was opened up for her to climb in. She noticed in the corner of her eye Cadance and Gemcutter were going through the same steps. Gemcutter was sure to check Cadance’s diaper before she climbed in her own crib, deciding it would be dry enough to last her the nap. “Don’t wanna forget Pinkie Bear, huh?” Gemcutter said to Cadance, levitating a soft looking, pink teddy bear. Cadance happily grabbed the teddy bear, embracing it in a big, tight hug. “Thankies, Gemmy!” Celestia couldn’t help, but stare at the sight. A bedtime plushie was never something she thought she needed until now. Seeing Cadance’s face light up seeing the bear and hugging it so tenderly made a new part of her childish psyche develop. Without fully realizing it, Celestia started to stare at the sight with big, longing eyes. “Do you want a bedtime plushie like Caddie, sunny butt?” Phosphor’s voice chimed in, snapping Celestia out of her stare. The princess blushed at the suggestion, feeling shy to ask for such a silly thing. She couldn’t lie to her caretaker and shyly forced out a subtle nod. Phosphor gave her a warm and understanding smile. “It’s alright, sweetie. I’ll have something nice for you to cuddle by night time.” Celestia nodded, crawling under her blankets and allowed Phosphor to tuck her in. It seemed like an acceptable deal. Just one more night without a sleeping buddy would be fine. “Have a good nap, you two,” Gemcutter chimed in, magically pulling up Cadance’s crib gate. “G’night!” Cadance happily chirped, giving her teddy bear another big hug. Phosphor lightly kissed Celestia’s forehead. “Goodnight, sweetie,” she said. “Goodnight Phosphor. Goodnight Gemcutter,” Celestia answered back, raising her head to look at the other unicorn. Wouldn’t want to be rude. “Nighty night,” Gemcutter said as she hit the lights and tip toed out of the room. Phosphor followed close behind, gently closing the nursery door as she left. The room fell under dim lighting, only faintly illuminated by the night light plugged into the wall. Celestia stared at the ceiling for a moment, unable to fall asleep as quickly as she use to. Her mind filled with questions for Cadance and she tried to work up the courage to ask them. “Cadance?” Celestia craned her neck up and peered through the bars. Cadance was already fast asleep in her own crib, hugging her pink teddy bear while suckling passively on her pacifier. “Never mind,” Celestia said mostly to herself. She pulled her bed sheets up close to her neck, curling under the soft warmth and yawned. All in all, a good play date. She was glad Cadance could make it. > Chapter Six > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hard Working Princess Chapter Six By Scribe Feather ✶✶6✶✶ After her play date with Cadance, Celestia developed a new found sense of confidence with her diaper treatment. She realized just how much of her free time was spent worrying about what other ponies thought about her. She wasted time sweating the small stuff and failed to realize just how much her life improved through the treatment. All of the worry seemed unnecessary as she looked back at it. As the days went on, she felt braver and braver. Every now and then she would take a chance and venture further away from the privacy of her usual locations in the castle. Quite quickly she found the confidence to casually walk past guards and maids in the castle hallways with her head held high with merely a thin dress covering her thickly diapered bottom. Over time she pushed the barriers of privacy, entering more public places as time went on. Phosphor was there to encourage her every step of the way. She warmly greeted the princess every morning, helping her out of her nighttime diaper that would be thoroughly soaked. The process had become so routine that Celestia often found herself sleepwalking to the changing table in the early hours of the morning, following Phosphor in a half asleep fashion. More than once, Celestia would even forget to change out of her nighttime diaper. She had grown use to the clammy, squishy texture that frequently hugged her lower half most of the night. Frequently, she would waddle off to her morning duties, paying no mind to the soggy diaper. It would take a gentle reminder from Phosphor for the princess to blush and waddle back to her bedroom where a fresh diaper waited. Diapers were now a large part of her routine, she could barely recall the last time she used the toilet. Diapers were more convenient to the busy pony and there was something relaxing about using them. Phosphor was always ready to change her whenever asked. One day Phosphor planned to take Celestia out for a picnic to enjoy the open air. She explained that some fresh air does a pony good every now and then, especially ones who spend most of their time locked up in a big stuffy castle. Celestia felt a childlike excitement for the event and looked forward to it the moment she was told. Celestia wore one of her short skirts for the occasion. The pale yellow garment was just long enough to cover her poofy diaper when it was dry, but in no way covered the padding when it would swell and sag. Despite this small disadvantage Celestia felt confident enough to go out in public in it. As long as she had something to wear over the diaper, she didn’t mind how revealing it actually was. However when the day came Celestia found her sister, Luna, waiting for her at the door with a picnic basket and her diaper bag. “Are you ready?” Luna asked the confused alicorn. “Uhm, i-isn’t Phosphor going?” Celestia asked back. “She asked that I babysit you for the afternoon,” Luna promptly answered. Celestia blushed at the word ‘babysit’. There was no doubt that Phosphor used such a word to describe watching a diaper pony like her. Her sister was quick to notice her pause. “Is...something the matter, sister?” “No no, just surprised is all,” Celestia quickly answered. The two stood awkwardly stood there for a beat before Celestia added anything else. “uhm, lead the way.” The two made their way out onto the castle grounds, a name given to the large stretch of hills that surrounded the white towers of the castle. The castle grounds stretched far in all directions around the princesses. Tended by the finest gardeners the kingdom had to offer, the lush rolling fields were always kept a healthy green color. Round topped trees dotted the area, free of any sickly discoloration or water leaching weeds. Ever with the wide expanse acting as a buffer zone for the diapered pony, Celestia could not shake the nagging feeling of exposure. The two would likely spot any oncoming pony, given plenty of time to cover up, but Celestia's shoulders still remained knotted and tight. She would have likely worked her confidence up to going outside in nothing but a diaper eventually, but at the pace she was going, that was months away at least. A picnic basket was packed for the occasion, stocked with all the essentials. A large, red and white picnic blanket as well as some sandwiches and drinks occupied the space. Luna also made sure to bring along Celestia’s diaper bag, a pink bag that was already stocked with the needed supplies by Phosphor the morning before. Luna seemed less tense than her, but Celestia couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed for her to have to sit next to her diapered sister. Once the picnic blanket was spread out on the grass, the younger sister calmly took her spot near one of it’s corners, pulling out a thick book to read. Celestia’s sister had set up the picnic in a small, shady garden area that overlooked the rest of the castle grounds. Ten feet away rested a small pond that quietly dribbled into a thin stream that would eventually contact with the large lake that stood hundreds of yards past the castle grounds’ boarder. A metal sun dial rested on a stone pillar beside the two princesses, providing a basic reference of passing time. Celestia remained tense throughout the entire thing. While Luna was busy setting up shop, her older sister nervously scanned the area around them. Flowing, green hills stretched far in all directions. Not a soul could be seen, not even in the clouds. “You have nothing to worry about, dear sister,” Luna assured as she opened up her book, “nopony can see us out here.” “I...suppose you’re right,” Celestia answered, scanning the horizon for any movement once more. Without warning her skirt began to glow with a blue hued light. The garment was suddenly tugged off her waist, revealing her thick diaper. Luna proceeded to fold the skirt in a neat square and tucked it into her saddlebags. Celestia gasped and quickly slunked close to the ground in embarrassment. “Wh-what are you doing?” Her voice squeaked in startled nervousness. “This will make it easier to check your diaper.” “I-I could just tell you though,” Celestia answered, “I can still control it when I want to...” Her words trailed off as Luna proceeded to poke the moist padding that had swollen near Celestia’s front. “You seem to be a little wet already,” she said unsurprised, almost as if it was expected. “I...I mean it was just a little bit...” Celestia answered with a blush. ”I-I didn’t want to bother you about it.” It had gotten more and more difficult to hold it as Phosphor’s treatment continued. Not only would Celestia wake up almost every morning with a wet diaper, but now daytime accidents were becoming more and more frequent. If she concentrated really hard, she found that she was able to hold back whatever her bladder was about to release, but in most cases she didn’t bother. Leaving her sister’s diapered rump out in the open Luna moved on to other things. She proceeded to dig through the picnic basket. Two sandwiches wrapped in layers of plastic floated out of the container, one floating into Celestia’s hooves. Celestia’s sandwich was, embarrassingly enough, cut into fourths. The meal was lovingly prepared by her sister. She accepted the meal without question, eating the small triangles without much of a fuss. As she ate her meal, the princess’s mind teemed with idle thought. It gave her time to reflect on her current situation. It was hard to believe that at one point she wanted nothing to do with diapers. Now, in no time at all, she wore diapers day and night, willingly using them whenever the need arose. From the beginning she could rely on Phosphor for support and now Luna seemed to at least tolerate her new lifestyle. She didn’t say it out loud, but Luna seemed to understand that it was for the best. Her younger sister took care of her well. Her trail of thought was derailed by Luna’s loud sniffing. She shook her head out of her daydream and looked at the other alicorn. Luna’s nose curled up as she sniffed the air some more, looking at Celestia with a knowing stare. Celestia’s ears drooped as her cheeks flared up. She could just barely maintain eye contact with her sister, knowing very well what she did. Luna didn’t say anything at first, merely pulling Celestia’s diaper bag closer and unzipping it’s main pocket. With a magical glow of her horn, she floated a new diaper, some wipes, and baby powder out of the bag. “Can’t we just...wait?” Celestia meekly muttered. “Phosphor requested that we spend the entire afternoon out here relaxing,” Luna answered looking towards the metal sun dial, “that will be for another two hours still. Do you wish to sit in it for that long or get changed now?” Celestia let out a reluctant sigh. Her sister had a very good point. Ever so carefully she shifted her body into position, stretching lengthwise down the middle of the picnic blanket. She bowed out her legs, spreading them far apart to give her sister better access to the well used diaper. Luna lacked the experience and fluidity that Phosphor showed during every diaper change. Celestia's sister's movements were jagged and hesitant, pausing between each step as she double and triple checked the area to ensure the task was done right. Untaping the diaper was simple enough, but more wipes than usual were used as Luna would go over the same area multiple times to make extra sure that it was clean. The inexperienced diaper change left Celestia with more time to endure the embarrassing task.. All throughout this, Celestia stared at the sky, hoping the clouds would ease her tension. Her cheeks would flare up when her legs were hiked up, giving Luna access to her mess rump. She prayed that every wipe that she felt brush across her crotch would be the last one and wouldn’t dare look up to see how far along they were. After what seemed like hours of cloud gazing, the fresh diaper was liberally powdered before being pulled up between Celestia's legs. Each tape was carefully placed one by one, ensuring the best fit. "Is it tight enough?" Luna asked, placing the powder and wipes back into the bag. "Y-yeah, thanks," Celestia forced out, pulling her body back up in a sitting position. Her old diaper was wrapped tightly into a ball, sealing away the powerful stink that hung low in the air. Luna took care of everything including clean up and disposing of the dirty diaper without any help from her older sister. Celestia started to pull herself up before a large baby bottle floated into her peripheral. She turned to face the infantile object with a blush. She accepted the object without question, popping it into her mouth like Phosphor trained her to do. “Just try and take a moment to enjoy the peace and quiet,” Luna said. Celestia took in a breath of air and let it out slowly. Luna was right, she was much too tense for a picnic. She needed to relax. Working against every nervous fiber of her body, Celestia laid herself back down on the blanket. She stretched out her legs, taking in a deep breath of the outdoor air. Her back hooves just barely touched the blades of grass that surrounded the edging of the blanket. She took in another deep breath, closing her eyes softly. The bottle slowly bobbed above her as she suckled down the cool juice, taking in deep breaths between gulps. Without her eyes to occupy her mind with images, the rest of Celestia’s senses took over. She listened to the rustling of leaves as the wind blew through the tall trees. She felt the sugary juice cool her tongue and throat. Moments after the embarrassing diaper change, things slowly returned to normal for the two princesses. After a little bit, the awkward feelings faded away, allowing Celestia to enjoy the picnic like she was suppose to. The bottle of juice seemed to help her relax even more as she began sucking on the rubber nipple. She kept her eyes closed and simply focused on the sugary liquid that cooled the inside of her mouth as she drank it down. She was about half way done with her drink when her muzzle broke away from the nipple. “Luna?” “Yes?” Her sister looked up from the heavy book that laid open in front of her. “This...stuff I’m going through with Phosphor, the treatment,” Celestia started, “will you...be going through the same thing?” “I had considered it, but Phosphor recommended that I take up mediation instead,” Luna began, “she explained that your ways of coping with stress was much less efficient than mine and the diaper treatment would help alleviate that.” “And...all this diaper stuff,” Celestia nervously started again, “y-you don’t mind that you...well you know.” “If you’re wondering if I’m okay with babysitting you, then rest assured, I don’t mind at all,” Luna answered. “You’ve become so much more relaxed ever since Phosphor came along. I don’t mind it if I have to change a diaper or two.” The word ‘diaper’ caused Celestia’s cheeks to warm with blush. “Y-yeah, th-thank you for that. I know it’s asking a lot.” “Honestly it’s refreshing to be the older sister for once,” Luna mused. “Even at the beginning, Phosphor said I might be taking on such a role.” “She told you at the beginning?” “She asked for my blessing,” Luna answered, “before you were put in your first pull up Phosphor informed me that once you got into the habit of diaper wearing, other habits would follow as well. She recommended getting you a crib and diaper bags and ensuring that your closet was well stocked with the appropriate apparel.” “And...what did you say?” “I said it would be cute,” Luna smiled, “greatly beneficial to you, but also cute.” Celestia blushed again, feeling the flattery glow in her chest. “Well uhm...you make a good big sister,” she forced a friendly smile, looking up at her sister. Luna was visibly honored by such a compliment, “well thank you for the compliment,” she let a small smile slip out, “and you make a good little sister.” > Chapter Seven > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hard Working Princess Chapter Seven By Scribe Feather ✶✶7✶✶ Things seemed to accelerate after that for the diapered princess. With the combined efforts of her supportive sister and Cadance who was going through the same things as she was, Celestia found herself more accepting of the treatment. She slipped into the relaxing role deeper than ever. After a few short weeks, Celestia found the confidence to wear diapers in public. The excited pony would jump on any excuse to walk around town, willing to be dressed up in any cute and toddler like clothing to do so. And Phosphor was always happy to oblige, taking the royal pony out for shopping or even simple things like walking to the city’s fountain. When she was out with her caretaker, it was only expected that Celestia would turn some heads. The alicorn carried herself like a toddler, haphazardly dashing from location to location with Phosphor trailing behind with an expression on her face one would expect from a mother. A newfound freedom over took the princess, filling the void that was emptied by all her self conscious worrying. It was almost unbelievable how much a diaper around her waist made her usual duties less stressful. The comfort and security of a loving caretaker, supportive sister, and dry diaper kept Celestia’s stressful work from being too great. Yellow Feet, an esteemed choreographer, designer, and party planner was invited to Canterlot Castle to walk through the plans for the upcoming ball. The pale yellow pegasus was well known for his entertainment, putting together the finest spectacles in Canterlot. Very few ponies even knew his real name. Most just referred to him by his stage name. The stallion always dressed in clean cut suits, flashy yet tidy to set him apart from the crowd. His gold and light yellow striped mane and tail were always kept cleanly cut and shined from all the care and conditioners put into them. Large floor plans were rolled out on the massive table in front of the two ponies. Blueprints of the castle’s main ballroom, garden area, and the connected rooms were given the most attention. Color swatches, supply lists, and menu options for the party’s dinner all laid scattered across the various tables. Yellow Feet walked the princess through his plans while his hoof scrolled through the various buildings and structures that decorated the paper. All the while, Celestia followed along as the pegasus chattered away about event scheduling and sending out invitations. Her fluffy diaper crinkled ever so faintly as she waddled from table to table. She would politely chime in every now and then, giving the busy pegasus some suggestions. Phosphor watched from a distance, sitting quietly with a book in her hooves. A pink diaper bag sat beside her seat, visibly packed with bottles of juice, pacifiers, and thick, fluffy diapers. Every now and then the unicorn would look up from her seat, checking up on Celestia to make sure everything was fine. “Dinner has been scheduled for six o’clock, allowing plenty of time for mingling and conversation beforehand,” Yellow Feet spoke with a typical, aristocratic tone, picking his words carefully as if every one of them put his reputation on the line. “The gardens would be perfect for that then,” Celestia added, pointing towards an area on the blueprints, “plenty of space for a crowd and plenty of fresh air.” “Mhm,” the pegasus simply nodded, “then that brings us to the main entertainment and dinner.” “The south west doors are closest to the kitchens,” Celestia said as she pointed towards the designated spot on the map. “During meal time it would be best to...” Her words trailed off to silence as her tummy began to tighten. Her bowels gave her a subtle signal that they were full and her trained mind knew just what to do. Her legs bowed out as she let out a couple grunts. She squatted where she stood, her tummy tightening with each push. A lumpy mess eventually slipped into her waiting diaper, pulling out the diaper’s shape and making it visibly lumpy on the outside. Successfully finishing her task, the princess let out a relieved sigh and continued without losing a beat. “It would be best to set up catering near those doors so theres less clashing traffic.” Yellow Feet paused, letting out a small, bothered sigh when the princess stopped mid sentence. He didn’t say anything, professionally waiting for the princess to finish soiling herself before clearing his throat and starting again. “Yes, well. Once we’re done there, the dancers will be moved backstage and food will be served.” Meanwhile, Phosphor walked up to the other ponies with diaper bag in tow. As the two continued talking she gave Celestia’s diaper a quick check. Celestia passively leaned to the side, allowing Phosphor access to part of her diaper. It was enough for the experienced caretaker to judge the princess’s diaper’s consistency. Her scrunched up nose could confirm, Celestia had a messy diaper. “Would you please excuse us for a moment?” Phosphor said to Yellow Feet. The pale yellow pegasus passively nodded, deeply involved in the many floor plans and schedule sheets that littered the table to say much else. Celestia followed Phosphor away from the table, not at all phased by the added bulk that swayed between her legs. For her, diaper changes were as routine as brushing her teeth and now never batted an eye when she was pulled away from her work to be changed. There was no need to pull Celestia out of the room. Phosphor instead found a nice quiet part of the room behind a large, marble pillar and laid the princess down. Celestia laid herself on the ground, passively suckling on her hoof as her well used diaper was taken care of. Phosphor was efficient as always with her diaper change, untaping, cleaning up, and replacing the diaper in no time at all. All of it had become so routine for the princess and it felt like she was on the ground for mere seconds before a new diaper was taped around her waist. “Yellow Feet seemed kinda bothered that I made stinkies in front of him,” Celestia quietly said, barely noticing the foalish word choice. Such a vocabulary came so naturally to her during diaper changes. “He’s just very stressed,” Phosphor replied as she pulled the new diaper up between Celestia’s legs, “the entertainment business is a stressful field to be in.” “Perhaps HE’S the one who should be in a diaper,” Celestia giggled. Phosphor chuckled, “perhaps.” Immediately after the first diaper was taped on Phosphor quickly covered it with a second one. A typical arrangement as preparation for naptime. Celestia acknowledged the extra padding, letting out a slight yawn as her mind started to prepare for the routine nap. Phosphor guided the thickly diapered Celestia back to the tables. Celestia’s legs bowed out as her gait was more of a waddle now. A stride one wouldn’t expect from a royal pony. "Sorry about that, Mister Feet," Phosphor politely said with a bow. "Tia must have wanted to get her messy diaper out of the way before nap time." The yellow pegasus blinked, visibly emotionless, leaving how he truly felt a complete mystery to the other two ponies. "Yes, well then," he shifted in his place, rearranging his hooves, "we will have to meet again before the party to make seating arrangements. The guest list isn’t entirely complete.” “Of course,” Celestia answered with an understanding bow. “we shall meet again the day before to ensure everything is squared away.” “Very well,” the pegasus answered as he began rolling up the various plans. All his work was stored in two large saddle bags that hung off his back, trapping his wings underneath leather and parchment. “Until next time, your highness.” He politely bowed. Celestia gave the pony another bow and he saw his way out. “Now then,” Phosphor chimed in, walking to the side of Celestia. “Time for YOU to take a nap, sunny butt.” “Aww,” an unusually childish tone escaped the princess’s mouth, “can I at least play with my toys before I do?” “Oh...I suppose you’ve earned it. You behaved yourself in front of our guest and didn’t put up a fuss when I changed your diaper,” Phosphor answered with the same warm smile she always wore for the diapered pony. Then there was a pause as the pink unicorn just stared at Celestia with a big smile. Celestia finally spoke with a tilt of her head. “What?” “Oh nothing,” Phosphor answered with a happy sigh, “I just remember a certain stressed pony who was always so worried about what other ponies would think if they saw her diapers.” The unicorn mused with a chuckle, looking back at it like fond memories of a child all grown up, “now look at you, double diapered and ready for your afternoon nap like a cute, well behaved foal!” Celestia could do nothing but blush at such comments. “Now come along, sunny butt,” Phosphor continued, “maybe your sister will read you a bedtime story if we ask her extra nicely.” A big smile grew on Celestia’s face as she waddled alongside her caretaker, “I would like that a lot!”
