The side of the road has magical things. Things that can lead to friendships and adventures. Things that can lead to other universes.

Meet Twila Spark, Pinke Pier, Raianne Dasher, Flair Shye, Appel Jackson, and Rebecca Rarity. They're not all friends, although they have given each other a smile or wave in the past, until they all end up together walking home from school.
They find a six necklaces, which, they find, grant them powers to turn into magical girls. They have to find out how to use the 'Elements of Harmony' and how to stop all the creatures... er, monsters trying to destroy their town.

Ring! Ring! Rrrringggg!

Everyone pushed each other to see who would get out first. Everyone, that is, except, for the purple haired girl staring at them. It must be a game, she thought. Why else would they push and shove just to get out?

"Ha-ha!' A triumphant laugh sounded from outside, and a cheer followed, which, to the girl, sounded like Raianne Dasher and her friends. Raianne was an athlete, one who played soccer, and the most popular one. Or, one of them. If not her, one of her friends, like Spencer Fira, the firey haired runner or Dara Dou, the softball player. Dara was also a published author, though, and the girl was a fan of her books. She wrote adventure stories about things she saw in nature, like a cat would become a villain, and a piece of shimmering blue glass would become a legendary statue.

The girl pulled a snack bar out of her bag, and while walking out the door, took a large bite. Not noticing where she was going, she bumped into a mess of frizzy pink hair. Her snack bar fell to the floor. The pink mess turned around, and smiled a big smile.
"Hiya there!" the mess squeaked. "My name's Pinke! Pinke Pier! Who are you? Oh my gosh- I'm sorry about your snack bar. I have one- you can have it-"

The girl cut her off. "I'm Twila Spark... and... erm... you can keep your snack." Twila was awkward around others, as she spent her life around books, instead of friends.

"Oh, ok. Hey, do ya wanna walk home with me?"

Twila thought about it for a minute, not knowing what to say. "Sure, I guess."

"Hoorahhhhhhh!" Pinke screamed. A few people turned around to look at her. One of them was a beautiful girl with purple curls. She walked over.

"Hey, Pinke, don't be so loud." she said.

"Oh!" Twila suddenly exclaimed. "Are you Rebecca Rarity? I'm not really into fashion, but everyone who shops knows you! Look, I'm wearing one of your shirts!" Rebecca was a teen fashion designer, who had made a few clothing lines.

"Yes, darling." Rebecca said calmly. "And you are?"

Twila blushed, a little embarrassed. "Twila Spark. Erm, sorry about that, really."

"Oh, don't worry. It's fine. And I like the attention.” Rebecca laughed.

“Rebecca!” Pinke seemed to have an idea. “Wanna walk home with us?”

“Well, I was going home with Appel, but she could come.” The girl whipped out a phone with a sparkling case. “Aaand, send!”

“Who’s Appel?” Twila asked. This was really crazy for her. Meeting people, walking home with them, possibly becoming friends? This was out of her ordinary.

“My best friend.” Rebecca smiled. “Oh there she is!” She waved to a blonde girl with a large hat.

The girl walked over to them. “Hey, Rebecca, and Pinkie? I think? What’s your name again?”

“Pinke! But Pinkie is cool too!”

“Hi, Pinke. And, who are you?”

“Twila. Spark. Twila Spark.”

“So ah guess ah’m comin’ home with you?”

“Yep!” Pinke said, again, a little too loudly.

“Well, let’s get goin’!”

As they neared the door, they saw a rainbow. Or, a girl. A rainbow girl. A rainbow girl who waved over them. Appel walked over. “Why’d ya wave us over, Raianne? Ya don’t even know us.”

“No, no! Not you! Her.” Raianne pointed behind the group, at another girl who’s head was down. “Flair. My neighbor.” She stood up from the bench and waved violently. “Flair! Come on!”

The girl, named Flair, cautiously shuffled over. “R-raianne I-I’m ready to go when you are.” She noticed Appel. “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get in your wa-”

“Oh, it’s fine, Sugarcube. Ah didn’t realize ya needed to be here.” Appel walked back to her friends. “C’mon, guys, Let’s go.”

Twila stared. The shyest girl in school, friends with Raianne?

“C’mon silly Twi! Let’s go!” Pinke pulled Twyla’s arm.

After a few minutes, Twyla heard whispering behind her, and turned around. She saw Raianne and Flair together. Before she could turn around and pretend she didn't notice, Raianne looked up and saw her. "Uhh, hey, umm, Twinkle?"

"Twyla."

Flair looked up, too. "I'm sorry we're-"

"No, no, it's fine. You were just taking the same route as us. It's fine."

The rest of the group stopped suddenly, and, as Twyla was walking backwards, she bumped into them. "Oof."

Rebecca picked up a pendant with a diamond on it and held it above her head so it caught the sun. "Wooow!" She squealed. "I'm going to keep it."
"Silly Becca, you can't keep random things you find on the road-" Pinke stopped and picked up a matching pendant with a blue balloon. "Never mind that, I like this one!"

Appel bent down, and studied an orange apple pendant. "Hey, look, it matches my name!"

Raianne rushed forward. "Waitwaitwait. I totally don't like jewelry- I just wanna see." Judging by the deep red her face turned, the other girls could tell that she actually did and laughed. "TOTALLY. AWESOME!" Apparently Raianne found one that fit her image of 'cool' and 'awesome'. She held up a red lightning bolt.

Twyla squeezed through, leaving Flair on her own behind the girls. There were two left- a butterfly and a star. Star, or butterfly. After picking up the star, she decided that one fit her.

"I don't need one- if there's none left, I mean. You don't have to give me one, though." Flair tilted her head down.

"No, there's one left. A butterfly."

"Umm, okay, I'll have that one then."

As soon as Flair held the butterfly pendant, all the others started glowing. The girls felt themselves lifting up into the air. Flair, being the nervous girl she was, screamed. The girls formed into a circle, but found that they didn't move their bodies- the strange power did. A beam of light connected all of the necklaces they were holding, and pushed them onto the girls. A white flash of light blinded them for a split second, then stopped. A voice came, but they couldn't tell where.

"Congratulations, girls. You are now the holders of the Elements of Harmony, the Guardians of Friendship."

"The Guardians of Friendship? What does that mean?" Twyla asked.

"Once. in another world, there were five girls- ponies- in fact, who possessed items called the Elements of Harmony. Each represented a trait. You are the Warriors of Harmony, as they are called by some, but protect this universe. I am the ruler of their land, Princess Celestia. Because I can not travel to your world, I am speaking to you from Equestria."

The voice stopped, faded away, then came back.

"Pinke Pier. You are Pinkie Pie, Element of Laughter." A picture of a pink pony appeared in the center, wearing a necklace with a balloon.

"Rebecca Rarity. You are Rarity, Element of Generosity." The pink pony changed to a beautiful purple and white unicorn wearing a necklace with a diamond.

"Raianne Dasher. You are Rainbow Dash, Element of Loyalty." A blue pegasus with a bright rainbow mane wearing a necklace with a red lightning bolt.

"Appel Jackson. You are Applejack, Element of Honesty." An orange pony with a yellow mane and the same hat as her human version, wearing a necklace with an orange apple.

"Flair Shye."

Flair squeaked and brushed her hair out of her face.

"You are Fluttershy, Element of Kindness." A yellow pegasus with a pink mane wearing a necklace with a pink butterfly.

"Oh, Twyla Spark. You are Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship, the Element of Magic." Appearing in the center was a purple alicorn with a navy blue, pink, and purple mane. She was wearing a crown with a large purple star.

"A princess!" Twyla gasped.

"Unfortunately, there are also monsters from my world in yours. Use these to transform into the Warriors of Harmony and defend your world!" The voice faded away, and the girls landed on the ground.

A strange laughter came from above, different than the calm voice from before.

"The Elements of What?" Raianne asked.

Twyla gulped. "I think we have to worry more about that laughter!" She screamed.

"Correct." A deep, dark voice replied.

Flair began to cry.
