Princess Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship, meets a world very much parallel, confusing and very Opal-likely. But they share the same interests...
Opal Gemstone felt odd as Twilight Sparkle entered his new home universe, the Crossian Universe. Out of all universes she could explore, why his own?!
In this story, Twilight meets humans she shouldn't have met, travel in places she shouldn't have found, and face a truth Opal can't tell.
Gore is on? Yes, gore. Mild gore, Twilight will witness a few.
Twilight Sparkle woke up falling from her bed. Her bed in her castle. Spike looked at Twilight, trying to hold his laughter.
"What?" Twilight fixed herself and the bed.
"Nothing," Spike sniggered, "It's been 5 days you've been doing that!"
"And it's getting annoying," Twilight added, "must be something, and into research!"
Twilight ran into the library, and made two of her friends, namely Rainbow Dash and Rarity, spinned and looked at each other in confusion. They decided to secretly follow, before Twilight slammed the library door shut.
"Okay, nearly making myself look suspicious," Twilight fixed her messy mane and looked at the crystal mirror, "first, hope that the mirror is closed so that I could use it as a portal to other worlds..."
Twilight touched the mirror, and it sparkled a bit. She quickly withdrew her hoof.
"Open, that means Sunset Shimmer can visit, hmm..." Twilight looked around Star Swirl's books for a spell. "No, nothing can help me at the sort."
A vortex suddenly appeared in the library room.
"Unless there's a vortex appearing in the room, of course!" Twilight heard voices from the vortex. She listened.
"Hey! You just created a vortex to the My Little Pony universe!" An old man's voice shouted.
"What? Can't I?" A young female voice said, "Besides, it's called 'Equestria' universe."
"Very funny," a familar voice commented, "Just make sure Pinkie Pie doesn't enter here or else she'll have to make a hyperspace kind of party."
Pinkie Pie peeked in from the not-locked library door, "What...?"
Twilight pushed Pinkie away and closed the door, and locked it. Twilight listened to the conversation again from the three voices.
"And I think I heard a door banging," the third voice said, "and Pinkie."
"What!?" there were sound of buttons being pressed. "Opening the vortex to see what's om the other side..."
The vortex, seen as a small group of spinning clouds, enlargens to make a hole in the middle and Twilight slack-jawed, then quickly closed her jaw.
"Oh dear, Stargate fashion," Twilight began writing stuff down, "a control room, with flashy buttons and slides, I now wonder what it does, some long weird metals things, three humans looking... What."
The three humans, two men and a woman, stared back at Twilight.
"Congratulations, sir, now she's looking at us." The woman deadpanned, before waving.
"Hi...?" The vortex closed, leaving a small piece of paper. Twilight read the paper...
Don't tell Opal. He absolutely wants to see you again. - Jane Numero Frost, aka. That girl who waved at you. PS: I ABSOLUTELY WANT TO HUG YOU OHGOD
Twilight blinked. "What fan you are."
Another paper appeared right on top of it.
Don't quote Delsin Rowe.
Rainbow Dash went inside through the window. She looked at Twilight Sparkle, who were holding two pieces of paper.
"That was 10. Seconds. Flat." Rainbow deadpanned, "Care to explain, please?"
"Well... first, thank you asking, second, I really have no idea a random patch of cloud spinned and became a vortex," Twilight pointed to the location, "in there. Then the vortex widened to show a quite shiny room with three humans."
"Are we going Lyra now here?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"No! I mean, whatever you think, I've been more crazy before, right?" Twilight winked.
"Oh, that." Rainbow thought about it, "ok, so anything else?"
"Let's see... I'm wondering about the throne-" Twilight and Rainbow Dash hear a series of knocks. Twilight opened the door to see Spike holding a letter. Twilight took the letter and read it.
Dear Twilight Sparkle,
I need you and your friends at the Tree of Harmony. As soon as you can.
Your former mentor, Princess Celestia
Underneath is a patch of writings Opal, herself, and Princess Celestia made for privacy.
I do believe that it is the work of Opal, who seems to have alicorn magic without turning into an alicorn. He also sent me a few warnings, about the danger that lies beyond our world...
You have something in your hooves, literally, that is listed as one of the dangers.
Twilight looked at her left and right hoof, before looking at Rainbow Dash.
"On it!" Rainbow went outside, and called her friends.
"I've never seen anything like this, Lulu." Celestia said to Luna, who were both at the Tree of Harmony.
"It's not of Discord's doing, Cel." Luna said back.
"Luna! Celestia! We've come as fast as we could!" shouted Twilight as they all arrived. "What's wrong?"
Celestia pointed to the tree. Twilight 's eyes grew large. A small vortex is in front of the tree, and the elements power it. Rainbow Dash and the others are shocked to see such thing.
"I'll enter the vortex." Twilight proclaimed.
"Wait! We don't know if it's safe!" Luna warned, before a wounded girl from the vortex appeared.
"...ugh..." it- she muttered.
"A wounded human from the vortex." Celestia noted, "it's not safe. Are you sure about your decision, Twilight?"
"Not really..." Twilight pointed to the jacket and skirt the girl was wearing, "it's me. She has the same cutie mark on her dress."
The girl opened her eyes a bit and grabbed Twilight's upper hoof. Some sort of light from the girl travelled to Twilight's hoof who was trying to escape, and then she disappeared, into dust. Twilight fainted.
"It's happening... Help us all..." Celestia prayed, muttering a spell and fired it at Twilight.
She immediately woke up. Rarity looked at Princess Celestia.
"What spell was that?" She asked.
"A simple wake-up spell." Celestia lied. It really was more of that.
The spell she casted on Celestia was healing spell. A healing spell capable of healing anything, even King Sombra. A spell created by Opal before he has forgotten everything, the last spell he created for the Princesses.
"I... Opal's crazy dashy Neon powers... did I have?" Twilight asked.
The other ponies are confused while Celestia nodded.
Twilight looked at the vortex, "one of the dangers already in me..."
Twilight pointed her right hoof at a tree outside the cavern where the Tree of Harmony is, and a beam of neon from her hoof destroyed it. Twilight chuckled like crazy.
"It's going to be cool." Twilight said, before winking at Celestia and jumping through.
Opal woke up with a sense of imbalance.
"Twilight! Why..." Opal said, before heading to the library, a Golden Oak Library.
Opal expected a human Twilight greeting her, but he saw no one on the library.
"Oh, Twilight? Hello?" Opal looked around, and spotted Twilight, Princess Twilight, fainted and lying on the floor of the bedroom.
He lighted his horn, but decided not to cast the same spell, and instead he sent a letter to Princess Celestia by the vortex. Then, the vortex closed.
Dear Princess Celestia, and Everypony else.
Princess Twily's here. Not in a safe location. She should leave, but the vortex has closed at the time you're reading this. She'll have to wait for at least 1 Equestrian year. The Summer Sun Celebration was yesterday, right?

Celestia giggled a bit. Rainbow Dash took the letter and read it. Then Applejack. Then Rarity. Then Princess Luna. Then lastly, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie who read the letter together.
"Oh, dear. In a world of blood, an Equestria ruled by Prince Solaris located in an Earth," Princess Celestia proclaimed, "I'm starting to think that Twilight's going to survive."
Twilight Sparkle woke up in a Ponyville-like house. But she knew she was not in Ponyville. Her confusion turned surprise when Opal showed up. Surprise turned annoyance when Opal explained what happened. Surprise turned fear when Opal said that it's a warzone outside his house.
"But... why?" asked Twilight.
"It's my new "home" universe, after that attempt..." Opal simply shrugged. "Hope nothing else happens. Where's the girl?"
"She... gave me this, thing." Twilight raised her hoof and it was surrounded by neon light before lowering it, "then she vanished, same way how Starlight vanished."
"Starlight Phoenix was a pony raised by humans," Opal said, "and she took name of Elizabeth Rose."
"Huh. Can you tell me then who is Jane Numero Frost?" Twilight asked.
"She's... a Founder. Founded a council in a 20-sectored city, considered as leader to the other universes... except for this universe, and yours."
"She's a pegasister, too." Twilight added.
Opal flinched. "How?"
"How could she know me?" Opal started taking notes. "How could she know what would happen in the midst of a normal day? How did she recognize my world... universe after they open a vortex in my library in my new castle?"
"Wait." Opal stopped. "You said opened a vortex in your castle?"
Twilight nodded.
"The Yeltor's first Convergence and the middle is..." Opal calculated in his head, "Oh, buck."
"Ok..." Twilight looked at Opal, surprised. "Equestria. Right.?"
"Yes..." Opal said, "which means a thousand universes opening up in your world. But I can't see your world get destroyed!"
"What do you mean?" Twilight asked.
"Twilight 'Ask-A-Lot' Sparkle, there are universes where they are on war. Killing. Most of them want to kill ponies. I just had to stop a war between ponies and humans when i started!" Opal explanations were true as he looked.
"Oh, dear..." Twilight tried to stay calm. "When?"
"Next... year." Opal said, "and by year I mean the next Summer Sun Celebration."
Twilight decided to faint for the situation. Opal groaned in frustration.
"I swear I was better back mining my own gems~!" He angrily cursed.
Trixie looked at the Mane 5 nervously while in front of Princess Celestia.
"Trixie says that there will be... a lot of universes, worlds, clashing with us... with us next Summer Sun Celebration!" she finished.
[Trix, calm down. I'm still here, you know, still loving your illusions...] a voice whispered in Trixie's head.
'But Trixie's scared after nearly getting killed by a WIZARD!' Trixie thought back. 'Do you even know what that means?'
[If Red was still here, he'd answer!] The voice roared back.
'Very funny.' Trixie looked at Princess Cadence, before looking back at Princess Celestia.
"And, according to your conversation in your head, it's very dangerous," Princess Celestia said. "I can feel her in your head."
"Who, who?" Trixie asked, trying to cover Victor Blue out. 'I hate you.'
"A magic same as Opal's. He calls it Victors while I'm calling it, 'Spirits.' You have one, do you?" Princess Celestia asked.
"Do you?" Trixie asked back.
Victor Blue, a mirror of Trixie's magic, took over for a while. Princess Celestia nodded. She then summoned a mirror and placed it right near them.
"Why mirror?" Applejack asked.
"They can show those Spirits and I can tell that Twilight nearly had one." Princess Celestia walked closer to Trixie. "What do you see, Blue?"
Victor Blue, or Trixie flinched. "Uh..."
A certain vortex suddenly opened, interrupting the events.
"Fetch! What now?" A voice familiar to Celestia said.
"It just opened, remember what the pony said?" a female voice replied, "convergence? Universes merging? Delsin, you're part of this group that MAGENTA pony created!"
"Um... hello?" Celestia said.
[Ah, great. Delsin Rowe and Abigail Walker.] Blue said.
'Ok, Trixie must run. Now!' Trixie ran to the vortex, shape shifting midway.
"Oh, hey, Trixie. Anything else?" The female voice asked.
Celestia facehooved, then laughed along with the other giggling ponies. After a while, Trixie returned as the vortex closed. She has learned another trick.
"Hmm. Leave us alone, for a while." Celestia said to everybody in the room except for Trixie. Afterwards, the Princess looked at Trixie, "What did Delsin told you?"
"Oh, Princess." Trixie pulled out a letter from her mane. "Here, and The Great and Powerful Trixie is always at your service."
Celestia read the letter which only contained two words.
Twilight's coming.
Celestia and Trixie looked at each other before Trixie left as well. Princess Celestia crumpled the letter and burned it in the air. She knew what was coming. She knew what to do.
"Shining Armor!" Celestia called, "Double the security; and send Trixie and the Element bearers some secret bodyguards!"
"Yes, Princess!" Shining shouted back.
"Now, to retrieve dear Twilight..." Celestia walked outside the throne room.
~Oh don't you dare look back Just keep your eyes on me. I said your holding back, She said shut up and dance with me!~
Twilight woke up again. This time, behind Opal who had put up a shield around Twilight. Twilight was about to ask until gunshots tried to pass the barrier.
"DON'T YOU ALL DARE TO ATTACK!" Opal roared.
Twilight looked around the shield, and found an MP3 player. She put on the earbuds, and played the song that was present. A battle theme, and Opal put the shields down.
"Work with the music," Opal said in a rhythmic fashion, "and look the world around!"
Twilight listened, and clipped the MP3 player in her mane. The music, it was a dance type. But she can't dance. Opal knew it.
Twilight lit up her horn as she avoided a few bullets and fired back. The spell made wounds on the gunners, but kept them alive. The blood that dropped, that snapped Twilight into realising what she'd done.
"Look, I know," Opal said normally, "we're going to jump through a vortex after this."
"I'm going to train my Neon powers, how about where that first?" Twilight requested.
"Aha, meet my comrade, Delsin Rowe as well!" Opal created a shield that surrounded the two, then he opened a vortex, and on the other side, a man with a vest looked at Twilight, his hands being surrounded by smoke. "Delsin! Remember how I set your universe as Turn-All-to-Human?"
"Yes, why?" Delsin asked.
"Train Twily here, with your Neon girl!" Opal shouted, before pushing Twilight to the vortex and is turned into a human. "I'll follow!"
The vortex closed. Twilight fainted again. Opal ran to his house and setted up a defense. Then, he followed.
Twily, oh Twilight. Why you have to come here? It was better when... Oh, nevermind. It was in the Oracle. But...
Twilight woke up, human. She panicked a little, before she stood. She stared back at a man, who is wearing a beanie and a vest, and a woman, who was wearing a jacket. She looked at herself. She still had her CHS-styled hair, but all that was different about this human form is that she looked like a regular woman on the streets. The man giggled a bit, and the woman elbowed.
"You looks like going to work," the man commented.
"I... don't know." Twilight said, "I'm sort of new here...?"
Then Twilight's memories returned. Oh, she chuckled, Silly me.
"Sorry, had a little head bump." Twilight looked at the man, "So you're Delsin, that guy Opal told about with four powers that you can weaponize using your hands?"
"The one and only," the man, Delsin Rowe, declared, "So, a friend or relative of that pony?"
"Um... spouse," Twilight nervously replied, "but we seldom meet due to his work."
"Oh." Delsin realised.
"My name's Abigail Walker, my friends and enemies call me Fetch." The girl introduced. "I don't harm innocent people."
In that very moment, a citizen passed by.
"Yeah... that happens," Fetch commented.
Twilight felt like this would go uphill sometime after a big accident. And her thoughts are proving her wrong.
Back at the Longhouse, Delsin introduced Twilight to the Akomish tribe, while Fetch waited back at Seattle, in the Queen Anne district. After the introduction, Twilight has learned of Delsin's brother, Reggie Rowe through a tagged billboard.
"Oh." Twilight commented after learning the events.
They head back at Seattle where a nerd named Eugene Sims, another Conduit, looked at Fetch in a rather odd look.
"What's wrong?" Delsin asked.
Eugene suddenly stopped and looked at himself. He let out a few "Ohs" before suddenly running away. Twilight a familiar aura to Eugene though, and she didn't mind it.
"So, can I ask if you guys can train me to use my Neon power-thing?" Twilight asked.
"Huh. Since there's no Core Relays anymore," Delsin looked at Fetch, "You're going to teach her as well."
"What?" Fetch tried to complain, but she stopped herself.
Twilight facepalmed. I'm sure this is going to be very long... She looked at her back as she felt a familiar hand.
It was Opal's hand, and he looked gorgeous. He was wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and a cap.
The two ponies-turned-human hugged at each other, before looking at Fetch and Delsin, hands behind each other.
"Um..." Opal was about to explain but Delsin raised his hand, in a stop gesture.
"We know."
Eugene tried to control himself before finally releasing into berserk and began to kill civilians. While this happened, Betty called Delsin.
"Hi Betty," Delsin answered.
"Delsin, is that one of your friends on the TV?"
"What?" Delsin and Opal are surprised.
"Be safe, okay? I'll call you back later."
"Okay, bye." Delsin looked at the other Conduits, and sighed. "Eugene's gone nuts."
"I think he's not just gone 'nuts,'" Twilight corrected, "I think something, maybe a magic force, took over him. I felt a familiar presence when he was looking oddly at Fetch."
"Familiar presence? When?" Opal and Delsin asked.
"It... it's blurry but it's back in my library... and Opal."
"Who?" A Seattleite asked, "Did he just said Princess Luna?"
The crowd suddenly charged to them, and they all dash off. Opal disappeared midway. They hide at an alley.
"And you're good at doing that," Fetch commented.
"Thanks." Twilight said with a smile, then she frowned, "what now?"
Fetch facepalmed. She knew what would happen.
"...after that, Twilight trained for at least a year before she left that universe, and the two watched the world reset into the time before Twilight arrived. In that way, I'm keeping balance. And, stop that horrible DARKNESS FROM GETTING ME!" Opal reported to Celestia, "so, basically, Princess Twilight's all safe and sound."
"Good, we were all about to worry about Twilight," Celestia said before bowing down to Opal in respect. "I wish to see you as an alicorn, dear. In that way, you can help in making Equestria more safe."
Opal stood. "I'm not sure that will happen soon enough." Opal looked at his now-blank-again flank. "I just lost my talent of mining, and if I knew my talent, I would gotten it..."
"Well then, stay safe." Celestia waved good-bye as Opal left.
Celestia walked to the crystal mirror and fired a harmonic spell to it.

Beyond the mirror, a version of Celestia appeared. A rather good and handsome Celestia.
"She'll visiting by." Celestia said to her "reflection."
"Surely, your Twilight will love our Equestria." 'Celestia' smiled. "I'm starting to think that an alicorn playing around with her own male self."
"And Solaris?"
"Yes?" asked the Solar Prince from the mirror as the reflection wavered.
"Keep her off the Tree of Harmony."
Back to Twilight Sparkle, she now had control over her Conduit "gift," Neon. Not minding that Fetch had the same too, she began to wonder if she can pull a "light show" for everypony to enjoy off. At least she had fun. But now, she had to play a little game in Opal's computer called "FN@F" and surely wanted to not VISIT this universe. Ever.
Opal woke up from his nap, Twilight looking at him with a picture from the Hub, or as he called it, Earth Prima.
"Is this dress blue and black or white and gold?"
Opal looked at the photo and facepalmed. He knew this would end up in his hoof-hands. He looked at the photo, and looked at it carefully.
"For actually just getting it now," Opal answered, "both. Depends on the lighting."
"Huh, or so I thought." Twilight took the photo and threw it outside, "thanks."
"Now, let me rest, oh sweet Celestia I haven't gotten a nap!"
Opal went into her bed and slept. Twilight, chuckled as she made Opal answer a question that was already answered, while trying to think as a human. After coming to the InFamous universe, she can't believe that she and Opal are still humans, not ponies. At least a few days as human would suffice, but after being a human for what, roughly 3 weeks? Twilight felt like descending into madness Lyra has fallen into.
Great, now that she thought about it, she can't stop thinking about how her friends react when she tried to tell them about how great the humans are. She'd be brought straight into Ponyville hospital. If she wasn't a Princess, yes.
Her thought paused as vortex opened outside Opal's house, and Twilight looked at it. Twilight's eyes widened. The place was... a twisted version of Equestria. She pointed a finger on it and she suddenly turned back into an alicorn, and quickly dived back to the house.
"Can I experiment with the vortexes, and then with enough knowledge, can I come back home? Of course I'll need the layout of the multiverse..." Twilight began to make a mysterious pet of Opal shiver. Once she noticed it, she stopped talking. "Oh, didn't see you there."
By God, stop thinking out loud, please? it said through Twilight's head.
"Oh... kay...? How?" Twilight's reactions seemed profitable, "How'd you pull that off?"
Simple. I wasn't born here. the pet said, I was born in a garden where a 21-year old woman caretaker takes care of the place, and every animal there is a reincarnation of someone she loved. I'm basically...
"A human turned alligator? Opal now kinda reminds me of Pinkie." Twilight replied.
I really don't know, the alligator said. To quote off, 'I just don't know what went wrong.'
"Huh." Twilight's head trailed off.
Losing a friend's trust is the fastest way to lose a friend forever!
Pinkie, stop messing around, please. Anyway, Opal woke up with Twilight missing. Apparently, she was in another universe, namely the LEGO Universe. Wait. Legos. Bricks. Oh, dear. The only thing he could do now is... wait. He could only wait.
"Apparently everything's so catchy here," Twilight commented, "and made up of bricks. I'm a brick unicorn."
"LEGO Bricks," Emmet Brickowski corrected, "and welcome to the LEGO Universe. What's your name?"
"Twilight Sparkle."
"Oh, I haven't heard that name before," Emmet noticed.
"Because I wasn't really from here." Twilight said.
"Yeah, I know, I was just joking." Emmet made a fake laugh which annoyed Twilight. "Anyhow, anything else?"
"I don't know how I got here," Twilight said, "any help?"
Emmet began building a vortex out of lego bricks (How'd you pull that out?!) and pushed Twilight to it.
Twilight found herself in Gotham, before a vortex opened up under her.
"Oh, come on," Twilight muttered, "I want to meet Batman..."
Twilight found herself in a very familar place. Canterlot High. She isn't a human, but rather a pony still. At least the vortex opened near the crystal mirror, so she made a quick dash and went back.
"Phew." said Twilight, "That was close. I saw myself back there..."
"You did?" Sunset asked. Twilight nodded. "Wow, I didn't know I caused too much trouble, right?"
"Yeaah... Wait, Sunset Shimmer, you aren't affected by anything strange?" Twilight asked.
"I can still remember our firdt encounter, that horrible she-demon, and Opal passing by," Sunset replied.
Twilight smiled. At least she wasn't alone,but she wondered who was with her. "I got a very little feeling that one of our friends here are aware."
"That'd be Vice Principal Luna. She told me what would happen," Sunset replied, shocking Twilight, "and I told the events back."
"Huh." Twilight thought about jumping back, but Sunset dragged her to the Vice Principal's room. "Uh, Sunset, why did you drag me here?"
"The First Convergence happens where you both came from," The vice principal warned, "do you understand that, Twilight?"
"Um, yes, I-" Sunset handgagged Twilight.
Vice Principal Luna, Twilight Sparkle, and Sunset Shimmer looked at a vortex and a few drops of blood dripped out of it.
Twilight also felt neon beyond the vortex, and she Neon Dashed her way to the vortex. Sunset and Luna were surprised, and Luna gave Sunset a 1-week detention.
Twilight looked at Delsin who were hiding at an alley, while Fetch evacuates some humans. Something is seriously wrong here.
"It's Eugene," Delsin explained, "he suddenly went berserk. I don't know why."
Twilight moaned. This is something what would Opal have fixed with his "universe control." But since she was in here anyway, she might as well help solve the problem. She started by learning what happened beforehand.
By beforehand, as if before Delsin even met him. He explained how he got his Video powers, and demonstrated by absorbing Video from the nearby TV. He also said something about Eugene acting odd ever since she came. His explanation was disrupted when a civilian fell into the alley and Twilight healed him.
"Oh." Twilight ran outside, and pulled out a knife which made Delsin freeze.
"How did you get that knife?!" Delsin asked, "no way you bought that!"
"It was given to me by an old friend before she vanished." Twilight pointed the knife and closed her eyes.
'If I can channel my unicorn magic and shoot him with a freeze spell then let Delsin the rest, then help fix the remaining problems...' Twilight focused on her magic and directed it to the knife. The knife vibrated and glowed pink. 'To fire a spell...'
Twilight Sparkle opened her eyes and blasted a shot to Eugene. It missed. She shot again. Another miss. She shot the last. The shot blasted into Eugene and knocked him out. She then felt weak and fainted. Delsin ran to them and with Fetch, ran off.
"I'd rather not visit the Five Score universe," Twilight said to her newly discovered side-personality.
"Why? Couldn't handle the things it has?" her side-personality, a manifestation of her magic named Victoria Violet asked.
"Yeah, but in that near-Hub universe, Everything happened in 1992-2020!" Twilight groaned. "Anything to say?"
"Wouldn't be surprised if you learn that all of the Mane 6 has something like me," She said, "right?"
"Something like you..." Twilight looked away for a while before looking back at her. "You are kidding."
"Nope! Victoria White, Blue, Orange, Cyan, and Yellow! Add Pinkamena, and me..." Twilight added all the facts. "What do you get?"
"No, way," Twilight said.
"Yes, way," Violet corrected, "your universe is NOT the Prime universe."
"Why?" Twilight asked.
"Because," Violet looked up. "Yeltor is entering its first convergence, you're training your non-Equestrian powers, which is cool by the way, and the books make you look like a know-it-all universe jumper."
"A what?"
"Three... two... one... You're gonna wake up."
Twilight jolted awake, panting. She looked around and found herself in a small room, locked. Locked?!
