Zzzzt! “Doctor, what’s going on!? Where are we going?” Rose Tyler cried. “I don’t know! We hit some sort of…” The Doctor, eyes wide, searched for the right word, “space...thing!” “What do you mean ‘don’t know’?” “I mean I DON’T KNOW!” The Doctor glanced at the TARDIS’s readings again. This time he actually felt surprised. “Well that’s new…” he mumbled. “What?” Rose yelled, trying to stay upright. “Well, look at this!” The Doctor pointed at one of his monitors. “This, energy flux, it’s far past the capacity of the TARDIS! It’s as if we’re shifting into a different dimension or a…” The Doctor looked at the white wooden door beyond him, “...a parallel universe.” “I thought you said that was impossible!” “It is! And, was your hair always that color?” “What?” The TARDIS jerked violently, and spun almost all the way around. Rose lost her grip, hit her head, and fell unconscious. “Rose...Rose!” Rose’s eyes fluttered open. “Ohh, my head.” She looked around, and only now did she notice the Doctor. “Uh, Doctor, why are you a horse?” “Me? I was about to ask you the same question.” the Doctor replied. Now she looked at herself. Her clothes were gone, and her entire body had turned the same creme color. Finally looking at her hands...no, the stubs at the end of her legs, she realized what she was. “I’m a pony!” “Oh, yes. Interesting, isn’t it?” the Doctor was trying his best to use his newly developed ‘hooves’ to access the TARDIS controls. “But, why am I a pony? And a very colourful one at that.” “Oh! That’s right, you’re not from that time-era. Well, in about 2010, a new show came around called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. You’ve heard of My Little Pony right?” “Yeah! I had some little ponies when I was just a little kid. But that thing died off ages ago.” Rose said, reminiscing. “Well, some lady named ‘Lauren Faust’ had the idea to make a new show out of it, so she did, and it evolved to colourful horses and their lives. Oh! and you’ll never guess what else.” the Doctor said, smiling. “Tell me.” The Doctor had a mischievous grin on his face. “Well, this web page called 4Chan started the idea of ‘bronies’. Guys, who watch My Little Pony! Or, as they call it, ‘MLP’.” “No!” “Yeah! And here comes the best part! I’m in it!” “The show?” “You bet! Oh, the company’s never come out and said it, but everyone knows its me.” “But how could you be in the show? No one knows you exist!” Rose queried. "Heck if I know,” the Doctor responded, “But I am in it, and that's that.” Then to himself he added: "I wonder if I could find myself around here..." “So, besides being in the magical world of ponies, what else should we do?” “Well, it’ll take the TARDIS about a half hour to charge up again for a full getback, so we’ve got some time to,” the Doctor opened up the door, “meet the locals.” “So, explain to me exactly how this world of equines works.” Rose asked. “Well, it’s all very simple. These ponies come in three different races: Unicorn, Pegasus, and, as they say, Earth Pony. That tattoo on your rear there is called a ‘cutie mark’, it tells you what your talent is. Ironically, yours is a rose.” the Doctor explained, looking around. “And, how do you know so much…?” “Well, I made a pact to myself that I’d learn about every piece of social media that references me, just for a time like this. And, I might have watched an episode or two…” Rose shoved the Doctor playfully, “I’m traveling with a brony!” The Doctor shoved Rose Rose’s back. “Sort of! Not, really…” “CUT! Retake!” “Oooh! Look at that!” the Doctor pointed in the direction of the voice. "Is that a studio set?" Rose asked. "Do they even have televisions?" "Well, probably... course we never see it, but, what else do you think they do in their spare time?" They trotted closer, and started to hear hustle and bustle from the set. "C'mon peo- er -ponies! We need to get this scene just right! Now, Seabreeze, you need to look like you're being carried by this wind! I know it's not easy, but you gotta get this right, this episode airs in 2 days!" the director said hurriedly. "O-Kay, I know, I'll get it right this time, I swear!" Seabreeze sighed. The Doctor suddenly became excited, "Oh! Um! Rose, stay here! I'll be right back! Oh please tell me they have 3D movies around here..." he mumbled as he ran off. Rose looked after him as he ran off with a blank look on her face. About 15 minutes later, after Rose had acquainted herself with a lovely unicorn by the name of Lyra, who seemed to know quite a lot about humans, the Doctor returned and said "They haven't finished the scene yet, have they?!" "Uh, no, why?" Rose asked. "It's a perfect scene! We could walk right by in the background! And now..." The Doctor held up the 3-D glasses he was holding, "I've got these". "Doctor, how are 3-D glasses important?" "You'll see, c'mon" "Wait, Doctor! We can't just walk through while their filming!" "Can't we? Watch this." And the Doctor proceeded to walk through the scene, with no interruption, until the director yelled: "CUT! Hey! Who is this guy?" "Oh! I'm the Doctor, and this is Rose. Any problems?" The Doctor said cheerily. "Er, n-no sir, none at all! Haha! I was o-only kidding of course," he trailed off and paused. "So, ah, what're you doing here?" The director finished. "We're in this episode! Look, right here in the script!" The Doctor held out his psychic paper. "Page, ah, 17, I believe." The director flipped through to page 17, or so he thought. "Oh, yes, will you look at that, 'Doctor and Rose Tyler/Roseluck trot through in background'. How could I have missed it? Well, carry on then, RETAKE!" He ended with a yell. They walked out of earshot to get ready for the scene. "I can't believe that actually worked. Well, what're we gonna do for the scene?" Rose asked. "Oh, nothing, just walk by." The Doctor responded non-schalontly. "Just walk by? That's it? Just walk by, and hope that thousands of bronies out there watching are gonna notice us?" Rose asked. "Oh trust me," the Doctor said as he donned his 3-D glasses. "They will."
