> Spike and the Crusaders of Justice > by N7_Spartan117 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Okay, girls, I think that will be it for Twilight Time today,” said the newly crowned Princess of Friendship. “AWWW!” sighed the Cutie Mark Crusaders in unison as each of the fillies gave the alicorn a sad look. “I know I know,” said Twilight as she calmed the fillies down, “But I think I will have my hooves full cleaning this mess up.” The fillies turned to see the mess they caused during Twilight Time. Thanks to Twilight, the CMC had their own small private section of the castle’s library closed for them to use during Twilight Time. The area surrounding them was covered in spilled chemicals from Apple Bloom’s potion set, bicycle parts from Scootaloo’s latest attempt at mechanics, and feathers from a pillow that Sweetie Belle was learning to lift with her magic. “Sorry,” apologized Sweetie Belle as she took the half-destroyed pillow and put it in a trash can. “Maybe we could help you clean up our mess.” “It’s okay, Sweetie Belle. I’ve got this,” reassured Twilight as she levitated a broom and several cleaning supplies. “Isn’t Spike gonna help you clean up?” asked Apple Bloom as she looked around for the dragon in question. “No, I let him have the day off today.” “So, where is he?” asked Scootaloo as she started to look for the dragon. “Oh, I saw him somewhere in here,” said Twilight as she led the fillies out of the closed-off section of the library. “You girls can go talk to him if you want. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind the company.” “Okay, thanks again for helping us, Twilight!” said Sweetie Belle as she and her friends began to search for the dragon. Twilight’s new castle library was massive, almost half the size of the Royal Canterlot library, and contained almost every known form of literature. As the fillies journeyed through each aisle, Scootaloo was galloping ahead in search of the dragon. “Slow down, Scoot!” said Apple Bloom as she and Sweetie Belle followed behind the speeding pegasus. “Ah’m sure will find him…..eventually.” “Yeah, why are you in such a hurry to find Spike anyway?” asked Sweetie Belle. “No….no reason!” answered Scootaloo quickly as she turned to face her friends. “I….I just figured we could invite him to come with us to Sugarcube Corner.” “Really?” asked Apple Bloom as she raised a suspicious eyebrow, similarly to the way her sister did. “Ye...yeah.” Before the unicorn and earth pony could continue questioning the pegasus, Scootaloo had already galloped to the other side of the library only to found the dragon she was searching for, “Hey...hey Spike.” “Oh, hey Scootaloo,” said Spike as he lowered the comic book in his claws to see the filly. Spike was sitting on the floor with his back propped against a bookshelf with several large stacks of comic books surrounding him. “What’s up?” “Nothing much,” replied Scootaloo as she looked down at the comics, “What are you reading?” “A new series of Power Ponies!” Spike quickly turned the book to show the filly the page he was reading. “It’s about the Power Ponies’ sidekicks, the Crusaders of Justice.” “Cool.” Scootaloo was fixed on the cover art of the comic. The page showed a unicorn, pegasus, and earth pony filly standing on a rooftop. The unicorn filly was wearing a solid black suit, a short, dark-grey leather jacket, a black eye mask, and two inch heels. Only the front half of the earth pony could be seen, wearing a yellow suit with two red lines going down the sides of her suit, while her other half was invisible. The pegasus was hovering just above the roof with an all-black spy suit, a full face mask with red lenses, and two glowing bracelets on her front hooves. “Yeah, want to read it with me?” asked Spike causing the filly’s cheeks to turn bright red. “Uhhhh.” “There y’all are!” said Apple Bloom as she and Sweetie Belle turned down the aisle where Spike and Scootaloo were. “Why did you run off like that?” asked Sweetie Belle. Before Scootaloo could answer the question, Spike got up from his stack of comics to show the other fillies his book. “She was going to read with me,” said Spike, causing Scootaloo's face to turn a darker shade of red. Sweetie Belle only turned her head to the side, not sure how that answered her question, while Apple Bloom only gave the pegasus a shy look. “Oh, really?” asked Apple Bloom still looking at Scootaloo. “What are you reading?” “It’s his new Power Ponies comic,” answered Scootaloo quickly, hoping that it would distract her friends. “The Fantastic Fillies, right?” “Crusaders of Justice actually,” corrected Spike as he closed the book to show the characters on the cover. “They’re sidekicks of the Power Ponies, and they are finally getting their own solo series!” “Who are they?” asked Sweetie Belle as she looked at the cover. “Well, the unicorn is called Song Bell,” explained Spike as he pointed to the filly on the cover. “She has an ultrasonic scream that allows her to shatter objects and disorient her opponents.” “Cool!” “What about her?” asked Apple Bloom, pointing to the half-visible earth pony. “That’s Fading-bloom! She can make herself and others completely invisible and create force fields.” “And what about the pegasus?” asked Scootaloo. “That’s Silent Wing,” answered Spike, not really saying anything else about the hero, much to Scootaloo’s annoyance. “Well, what can she do?” “She is like Hum Drum. She doesn’t have any powers.” “Oh,” said Scootaloo in a sad tone, upset that the only pegasus of the group did not have any powers. Thankfully, Spike saw the depressed look on the filly’s face. “But, she is skilled in hoof-to-hoof combat and is equipped with hoof bracelets that can shock enemies and shoot various darts!” said Spike hoping it would cheer her up. “I...I guess that’s cool.” As the fillies began to look over the dragon’s wide assortment comics, Spike was finishing the final pages of his Crusaders of Justice comic when his eyes grew to the size of a fire ruby. “Oh, no,” said Spike in a whisper as he closed the comic. “Spike, what’s the matter?” asked Apple Bloom as she watched the dragon slam the comic down with the rest. “N..nothing!” answered Spike, eyes still fixed on the comic. “So...so what do you girls have planned for the rest of the day?” The fillies only gave each other and Spike a confused look. Apple Bloom gave Sweetie Belle a nod to go check out the comic. “We’re going to Sugarcube Corner,” answered Sweetie Belle as she made her way towards the comic. “Y’all want to join us?” asked Apple Bloom as she stepped in front of the dragon, trying to distract him. “I’m sure Scootaloo would love for you to join us.” “WHAT?!?!” screamed Scootaloo loud enough to be heard all the way in the Crystal Empire, with a blush as bright as Apple Bloom’s bow. “Sure!” replied Spike as he smiled at the blushing filly, “I’d love to.” “Hey, Spike?” asked Sweetie Belle with her back turned to Spike. “Where do you keep your magnifying glass?” “There’s one over by the stack of Matterhorn comics,” answered Spike as he pointed to the stack in question. It did not take long for Sweetie Belle to find the magnifying glass, and as soon as she did she quickly opened to the page that frightened Spike. “You can return to the place you started when the fillies are trained and the Diamond Tyrant and Silver Aggressor are defeated?” read Sweetie Belle as she gave the others a perplexed look. Spike caught the look, and gasped. “Sweetie, stop reading that!” he yelled as he ran towards her. But as soon as he got close enough to grab it, Sweetie Belle threw the book to Apple Bloom. “Take a closer look to finish the adventure in this book!” finished Apple Bloom as she gave the same confused look Sweetie Belle did. Soon the book began to shake and the pages began to glow and turn rapidly. “No, no, no, no, no!” said Spike as he tried to pull the fillies away from the book, but as he did, the magic from the book began to pull Sweetie Belle in by her mane. “AAAH! HELP ME!” screeched Sweetie as she grabbed Apple Bloom’s hoof and tried to hold on, but to no avail--she was quickly pulled into the book. Apple Bloom quickly followed, still holding onto Scootaloo, who was holding onto a bookshelf for dear life. “Spike! Save me!” screamed Scootaloo as her hoof finally lost its grip. “Scoot!” Without a second thought, Spike dove headfirst after Scootaloo, and tried to pull her out of the book’s magic. “I’ve got you!” “Don’t let go,” said Scootaloo as she squeezed Spike, feeling herself getting pulled closer and closer to the book. Despite Spike’s best effort to keep himself anchored to the crystal floor by his clawed feet and prevent Scootaloo from being sucked into the book, Spike lost his grip on the floor, and all four were sucked into the comic. “NOT AGAIN!” > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Where are we?!” yelled one of the fillies as Spike slowly began to open his eyes. All the dragon could feel were the rocks he was laying on top of. “Apple Bloom!? Apple Bloom, where are yoUUUUUUU!!!!” asked Sweetie as her voice began to shriek at an ultrasonic pitch. The massive sound caused Spike to fully awaken with a sharp ringing resounding in his ears. As Spike stumbled getting up, the dragon could only see Sweetie Belle with a worried look on her face, standing on the roof of an office building and wearing a black costume with a dark-grey jacket, black mask, and two-inch heels—just like Song Bell. She just stood there with her hooves covering her mouth. “SWEETIE BELLE!” shouted a voice that sounded like Apple Bloom’s. “Y’ALL STOP YELLIN’!” Both Sweetie and Spike turned towards the source of the voice and found nothing. “Apple BLOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!” screeched Sweetie Belle again, bringing the drake to his knees. As Spike tried to get back on his feet to stop the screeching filly, half of a yellow hoof closed the unicorn filly’s mouth shut. “Ah told you to stop yellin!” said the voice seeming to belong to the hoof. Before Sweetie or Spike could react to the voice, the rest of the hoof quickly turned visible along with the rest of the body, revealing that the hoof belonged to Apple Bloom. “Apple Bloom?” asked Spike as he looked at the earth pony filly. She was wearing a red suit with two yellow lines going across the side of her body and a pink bow with four white dots on the knot. “Is that you?” “Of course it’s me,” answered Apple Bloom with her hoof still covering Sweetie Belle’s mouth. “Now does somepony want to explain to me why Sweetie Belle is squealing like Piggington on bath day?” Spike could only give a confused look as he looked at the two dressed fillies. Although Spike already knew what had happened, he was unsure of how to explain the situation to them, let alone how to keep them from freaking out once they found out what happened. “Wdefe ef Msdfafaf?” asked Sweetie Belle, trying speak through Apple Bloom’s hoof. “Say again?” asked Apple Bloom, but since Sweetie’s mouth was still covered her response was muffled. “Ah’ll let go if you promise not to scream.” After Sweetie had finished all the motions to a Pinkie Promise, Apple Bloom slowly removed her hoof from the filly’s mouth. “I said where is Scootaloo?” “Here I am!” shouted the filly in question standing on a gargoyle on a building across the street from the trio. Spike jaw dropped when he saw Scootaloo in her superhero suit. Like the others’, Scootaloo’s suit was similar to that of the comic persona she took after: tight black spy suit, mask with lenses, and two front-hoof bracelets. The only difference was her face mask’s lenses, which were now purple instead of red, and they grew and shrunk as she tried to focus on her friends. “Looking good, ScootalOOOOOO!!!!” again screeched Sweetie Belle sending a sound wave to the gargoyle that Scootaloo was standing on, making it collapse causing the flightless pegasus to fall to the street below. “SAVE ME!!” Without a second thought, Spike jumped headfirst off the building after Scootaloo. Spike quickly opened up his Hum Drum cape to glide over to the screaming pegasus and grabbed her mid-flight. Once he caught Scootaloo, Spike reached for his grappling hook and shot at the building he lept from, swinging himself and Scootaloo back toward Apple Bloom and Sweetie. “You okay?” Spike gently placed Scootaloo back on the rooftop. Scootaloo took awhile to respond after her near death experience, but eventually nodded her head in response, “Ye...yeah I’m okay. Thanks for saving me.” “No problem,” Spike gave the filly a warm smile that calmed her. As Scootaloo smiled in return, Apple Bloom decided it was time to break up the moment. “A-hem! Ah hate to interrupt, but you mind telling us what is going on?!” asked Apple Bloom as she moved her hoof off of Sweetie’s mouth. “Where are we?” “Yeah, and why are we wearing these costUUUUUU—!!!” screeched Sweetie Belle, bringing everypony to their knees in pain. Before the screech could rupture the fillies’ and Spike’s eardrums, an invisible force field formed around Sweetie Belle’s mouth. “Sweetie Belle, stop your squealin!” said a disembodied voice that sounded like Apple Bloom. “Apple Bloom, where did you go?” asked Scootaloo as she and the others searched in all directions. “Ah’m right in front of you,” answered Apple Bloom, but as the others turned to look, the only pony standing there was a still-silenced Sweetie Belle. “Seriously, Apple Bloom. Where are you?” “Ah’m right here.” She reached out and touched Scootaloo, causing the filly to jump back into Spike at the touch. “Ouch, that’s my tail,” said Spike as Scootaloo back away from him. “Apple Bloom, I need you to stay calm and focus.” “Why? What’s wrong with me?” “It’s nothing—” “Nothing?!” yelled Scootaloo with excitement, “She’s invisible!” “WHAT?” yelled Apple Bloom, her distress causing the force field covering Sweetie Belle’s mouth to disappear. “Ah...ah don’t want to be invisible!” “You’re invisible?” Sweetie Belle poked at the place she thought Apple Bloom was still standing, “That’s so coOOOOOO—!!!” She suddenly stopped and dropped to the ground, unconscious. Spike had quickly taken Scootaloo’s right front-hoof and raised it, pointing it at Sweetie Belle and pressing a small button on her hoof bracelet to shoot a small dart at the screeching unicorn. “Sorry, Sweetie Belle,” Spike said as he leaned her against the roof’s air condition unit. “Now, Apple Bloom, I need you to focus.” “Focus?! Focus on what?” asked Apple Bloom as she began to panic, “How can I focus when Ah’m invisible?!” “Do I need to sleep dart you too?” asked Spike as he raised Scootaloo’s hoof again, causing the pegasus to blush. “No no no, Ah’m good. What do I need to focus on?” “Focus on being visible.” “Seriously?” asked Apple Bloom as she gave the dragon a suspicious look that he could not see. “Yes, just focus on being visible and you will be back to normal,” explained Spike. The filly took a deep breath and did as she was told. After a few seconds, Apple Bloom was completely visible, much to her joy. “Wow, that’s so cool, Apple Bloom!” said Scootaloo as she walked around her. “Yeah, but how in Equestria did we get here?” asked Apple Bloom as she turned to face Spike. “More importantly, where in Equestria are we?” added Scootaloo. Spike looked at the two, then at Sweetie Belle, taking note of their costumes, Sweetie Belle’s ability to scream at a ultrasonic frequency, and how Apple Bloom was able to turn invisible and create a force fields. The drake took a deep breath and looked back at them. “We are in Maretropolis, and you girls have turned into superheroes,” explained Spike as he pointed to Sweetie Belle. “I told you not to read that page, and now she is Song Bell.” Spike turned and pointed at Apple Bloom. “You're Fading Bloom, and Scoot, you are Silent…Wing...” Spike went dead silent when he saw something in the distance. “Spike?” said Scootaloo in a concerned tone. Spike just stood there, still staring into space. “Spike, you okay?” Still no response. “Equestria to Spike, y’all there?” asked Apple Bloom as she waved a hoof in front of his face. While the fillies tried to get Spike’s attention, Sweetie Belle was slowly beginning to regain consciousness. “Ugh, what happened?” asked Sweetie Belle as she began to pick herself off the ground. “And what am I wearing…..” “Spike, snap out of it!” ordered Apple Bloom as she shook the open-mouthed dragon. Apple Bloom turned and looked at Scootaloo, who had a concerned look on her face. “Ah’ll get Scootaloo to kiss ya if---” “WHAT?!?!” screamed Scootaloo as her face turned six shades of red. Spike seemed not to hear Apple Bloom’s comment, because he slowly turned the two fillies heads in the direction he was staring in. Across the street from the office building Spike and the crusaders were standing on was a group of ponies standing in almost total darkness, on top of a taller building. The fillies stood in fear of the group, but Spike knew who these ponies were. A flash of lightning lit up the sky and struck a small golden lightning bolt shaped medallion, revealing six costumed ponies staring down at them. “Come on, Tyrant. I’m telling you, they are not going to listen to us,” said a small silver-coated earth filly wearing a dark gray suit of armor, a black cape, and a helmet made of silver with a small S in the center. She was carrying a black briefcase with her magnetic powers. “Let’s just head back and think of a new pla—” “No!” said a small pink-coated earth filly wearing a business suit with a tiara on her head. “They stole my plans, Aggressor. There has to be something about that in the villian code book.” “Actually, there is!” Silver Aggressor pulled from her armor a small black book with a skull on it, and flipped through its pages. “Here it is! Article thirty-four paragraph hundred sixty-seven, ‘All is fair in villainy!” “That doesn’t even make any sense!” As the two fillies walked down the aisles of cells in Balkham Asylum, they received evil looks from several inmates. One light-blue pegasus mare with a white mane and the number ‘72’ on her prison suit, sat in a cell covered in ice with a large collar around her neck. She tried to form an icicle with her hoof, but as soon as the ice took shape, her collar activated and gave her a small shock of electricity that made her scream in pain. “Here it is!” said Diamond Tyrant as she stopped in front of cell 0801. As the filly gave the two stallions guarding the cell a small bag of bits, they could hear maniacal laughter coming from inside the cell. Once the guards opened the doors, the fillies could see the Mane-iac, wrapped in chains, with her yellow-coated earth pony coltfriend Nacho Cheeze leaning over her with his front hooves around her neck. In the same cell, Pharaoh Phetlock, Long-Face, Smudge, High Heels, and Shadowmane were playing cards. “Ahem!” coughed Diamond Tyrant trying to get the group’s attention. Much to her chagrin, the group of supervillains quickly turned to look at the two fillies and gave them menacing stares, (except for Mane-iac, who continued to look down at her cards). “Uh...my associate and I are here to collect payment fo—” “Payment?” asked High Heels as she and the rest of the villains (except for Mane-iac) burst into a fit of laughter, “Payment for what?” “For the unlawful use of my father’s, Golden Gremlin, invention,” explained Tyrant as she took the briefcase form Aggressor and pulled out a contract. “You mean you're the daughter of the psychopath that tried to mimic my Miss M?” asked Nacho Cheeze as he made model of the stallion in question out of the Mane-iac’s mane. “Yes. Before my father was revealed to be the Gremlin and died, he had invented a device that allowed the user to transfer Meta-ponies’ powers to another pony. After his death, Sparkle Labs took control of the company until I reached the legal age to run it myself.” “Will you get to the point?” asked Pharaoh Phetlock in an irritated tone, “I’d like to play my hoof now.” “Why? It’s not like you are going anywhere anytime soon,” stated Silver Aggressor in a snooty tone, infuriating the slime pony Smudge. Smudge was starting to form a large mace with his slimy hoof, when the collar around his neck went off and shocked him. “Very insolent foals they are,” thought Shadowmane to herself as she watched Smudge struggle with the inhibitor collar. “As I was saying,” said Diamond Tyrant trying to get everpony’s attention back on her, “I am here to collect the bits you owe me for the use of my daddy’s invention.” “And why should we pay you for the use of your deceased father’s stuff?” asked Long-Face. “The vile thing didn’t even work right.” “Because…..because it’s the law!” The whole prison burst into fit of laughter at the satement, from the mare in the ice-cell, Frostbite, to the yellow-coated master markspony Deadrot in cell 59, who had spit out the apples he was eating when he heard the statement. The only prisoner that was not laughing was Mane-iac, who was still playing with her cards. “Tfs daf!” laughed Smudge in his gurgling speech as he started to cry tears of slime. “I’m being serious!” yelled the pink filly as she stomped her hoof. The villains only laughed even more uncontrollably, while Silver tried to hide her face with her cape in embarrassment. “That’s hilarious, isn’t Miss M?” asked Nacho Cheeze as he jabbed Mane-iac’s side, but the mare did not respond. “Right?” Still Mane-iac did not respond. “Hey, you’re the one I’m looking to get my bits from,” said Tyrant as she made her way over to the silent mare. “You hear me?” Diamond turned the chair the Mane-iac was sitting in, and was surprised as well as the rest of the villains that the mare sitting in the chair was not Mane-iac, but instead a guard with a smile on her face, dressed as the infamous villain. “You’re not my Miss. M!” “Really, what was your first clue?” asked Pharaoh. Although the pony Diamond wanted to see was gone, she quickly turn her attention back to the rest of the villains. “So, who’s going to pay me?” Again all the villains in the cell erupted into a fit of laughter. “Piece of advice little foal,” said High Heels as she pulled Diamond closer to her, “Don’t try to sue over something that doesn’t work.” “And leave the villain stuff to us,” added Pharaoh as Shadowmare swiped Silver’s code book of villainy out of her cape without her knowing, “We are professionals.” Through with being humiliated by the villains, Diamond Tyrant stormed out of the cell with Silver Aggressor following behind her. “Mane-iac escaped…..again,” said Diamond not even looking at the guards as she walked past them. “Again?” asked one of the guards as they galloped into the cell. The walk out of the Balkham Asylum was relatively quiet, aside from the times Tyrant would mumble to herself. Once the two fillies reached the carriage waiting for them outside of the asylum, Sliver decided it was time to break the silence she was holding. “So what shoul—” “Just who do they think they are, making fun of me like that!” yelled Tyrant in anger, “Me! The daughter of the Golden Gremlin! The strongest most feared mechanical genius this city has ever seen!!” “But wasn’t the mare with the metal tentacles and hooves the mechanical genius, and didn’t your dad get his strength from his Gremlin Formula?” asked Silver Aggressor, but her only response was a hateful look from her partner. “As I was saying, I am the Diamond Tyrant!” exclaimed the pink filly, “I’m the wealthiest, most intelligent, and most powerful villain ever!” “But you don’t have any powers.” Silver displayed her powers of magnetism as she removed the tiara off of Tyrant’s head and placed it on hers. “But I soon will,” said Diamond with a menacing smile. ”Maurice!” As soon as his name was called, a tan-coated young stallion rolled down the window separating him in the drivers seat and the fillies in the back. “Yes, Madam Tyrant,” said the young stallion looking through the rearview mirror. “Give me my suit pla—” Before the filly could finish her sentence, the stallion passed the blueprints she wanted. “Thank you Maurice. Silver, pass me the phone.” “What for?” asked the silver filly as she passed the phone. “I’m going to need someone to break into Sparkle Labs for me and get my father’s original plans back,” explained Diamond Tyrant as she started to dial a number on the phone. “Who?” “The only pony in the city that can get a job done right—Deathstrike!” > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aside from the taps of hooves, no pony said a word as the fillies and Spike were lead into a large conference room. Motioned for them to take a seat at the end of a large P shaped table, each pony and drake took their assigned seat. Aside from Spike, the three fillies were both confused and amazed at the collection of oddly similar superheroine. “Rarity, what’s with the weird outfit?” asked Sweetie Belle, pointing at the Power Ponies wielder of the bracelets of Beauty, Radiance. “Yeah Sis, y'all preparing for Nightmare Night?” asked Apple Bloom, with her head tilted to the side. “Sis?” asked Mistress Mare-velous, looking at the red maned filly. “Applejack? It’s me, Apple Bloom.” “Who’s Apple Bloom? You’re Fading Boom.” “Who’s Rarity?” asked Radiance, giving Sweetie Belle a confused look. “What are you talking about? You’re Rarity, fashion designer for the elite of Equestria!” exclaimed Sweetie Belle, giving her best interpretation of her sister. “Fashion designer? While I do fancy a nice zeppelin outfit, I don’t really consider myself a Hoity Toity.” “Spike, who are they?” asked Scootaloo, recognizing that master of Lighting is obviously not her idol in costume. “I’ll explain later,” said Spike through his teeth, trying not to raise the Power Ponies suppositions even further. “Just play along.” “But we know who they ar---” said Apple Bloom, said before being interrupted by the mild mannered scientist Dr. Spruce Spanner, the normal persona of the hulking heroin known as Saddle Ranger. “They could be suffering from sonic concussions,” stated Spruce as she waved a light annoyingly in Apple Bloom’s eyes. “That could explain them mistaken our identities.” “Who ever they think we are is not important,” said Masked Matter-Horn, as she turned on a terminal, displaying holographic videos of the quartet on the rooftop. “Do you four realize how much damage  you could of caused?” The holograms showed different video clips from Apple Bloom turing visible and invisible, Sweetie Belle screeching destroying an entire office building’s windows, and Scootaloo falling from the building. Feeling embarrassed and confused, the group just sat in silent looking at the heroes. “What were you thinking?” asked Matterhorn, but received no response. Trying to not ridicule them any further, Matterhorn pinched her nuzzle and sighed.  “Okay, what went wrong?” “OH! OH! OH!” exclaimed Filli-second trying to get her comrade attention. “First Fading Bloom keep disappearing. Then SongBell lost control of her voice. Thensheshatteredallthe---- “Fillie you're talking to fast again,” said Zapp, trying to get fast talking mare from braking a sound bearer. “Besides I think she was talking to them.” “We didn’t mean to. It was an accident,” said Spike, surprisingly not phased by the whole thing. “We are aware of that, but this never should have happened,” said Matterhorn. “I’m afraid you are no longer allowed to leave the tower.” “So y’all are grounding us for something that was an accident and we’re still not sure what what happened?” asked Apple Bloom, as if her protest would swear their decision. “D….Don’t think of it as grounding,” said a stuttering Spruce as she placed a small device, with a bell symbol centerpiece, around Sweetie Belle’s neck. “Hold still please. I’m placing it on a low enough setting that should allow you speak without your scream.” “So what exactly are we supposed to do?” asked Scootaloo, finally contributing to the conversation. “Just stay in the tower,” said Marvelous, putting a reassuring hoof on Apple Bloom  “You can do whatever you like.” “Just don’t go leave the tower until you have shown you can properly handle your powers,” added Matterhorn, closing down the holograms. With that said, the Power Ponies left the conference room leaving only the Crusaders and Spike. Turning to drake at the end of the table, the fillies began to bombard him with questions. “Why don’t my Sis remember me?” asked Apple Bloom, pointing an invisible hoof at herself. “What’s this thing around my neck?” asked Sweetie Belle, tugging at the device slightly choking her. “Where are we?” asking Scootaloo, more concerned by the strange environment they found themselves in. “Because that’s not Applejack, the Bell Ringer, and Power Ponies headquarters,” answered Spike without skipping a beat. To the drake’s disappointment, he was confronted with even more questions. “Come with me. I’ll explain everything.” Spike lead the young fillies through the Power Ponies tower eventually reaching the trophy room. “As I told you earlier, we have been sucked into the world of the comic book, and we have been transformed into superheros.” “So, how do we get out of here?” asked Scootaloo. Spike was about to open his mouth when the small white coated unicorn interrupted him. “Maybe this can get us out of here?” asked Sweetie Belle messing with a large cube with strange markings. “Put that down!” Before Spike could stop her, a portal appeared to a fiery world with a red minotaur turning sideways to look at them, with his horns glowing red with energy. Spike quickly took the cube from the filly and closed portal and trophy case before one of the crusaders messed with another artifact. “No, the father box can’t get us home.” “Then how in tarnation are we supposed to get home?” asked Apple Bloom. “We have to do like the spell said,” answered Spike as he pulled the comic out of one of his utility belt pockets. “See?  You can return to the place you started when the fillies are trained and the Diamond Tyrant and Silver Aggressor are defeated.” “Who in Equestria are Diamond Tyrant and Silver Aggressor?” “And where did you get a comic that SUCKS PONIES INTO A BOOK?!” shouted Sweetie Belle, thankfully without a sonic screech. “From this merchant’s strange magic shop in Canterlot,” answered Spike, while the fillies gave him annoyed look. “What? It was a limited edition.” “Wait, what did the merchant look like?” asked Scootaloo. “Uh, he was a grey stallion with glasses and greyish purple braided mane. Why?” “Scoots went in the same shop looking for a lov--” said Apple Bloom before being shot with a sleep dart by Scootaloo. To the group's surprise, the dart didn’t even hit Apple Bloom, but instead hovered a few centimeters from her front leg. “What the…..” Everypony turned to Spike, looking for an answer. “Apple Bloom just relax don’t freak out…..” Sadly the dragons calm words didn’t keep the yellow filly from freaking out. Suddenly everypony and thing was pushed against a glass wall with a force that felt like someone had cast a gravity spell. Spike tried to push up against the glass only to cause the glass to begin to crack. “A...Apple Bloom cut it out,” strained Sweetie Belle. “I don’t know how,” said Apple Bloom scared by the ability. “J….just r…..relax,” said Spike as he trying to calm the filly.  “Just breath.” Doing as the dragon said, Apple Bloom took a deep breath and calmed herself causing the invisible force to release it pressure pinning the others. “What the hay was that?!” “I told you. You each have been turned into a superhero. You have the power to be invisible and make force fields” “Please don’t do that again,” asked Scootaloo as she tried to pop her bones to relieve the stress. “Well maybe I Wouldn't if you didn’t try to shoot me!” argued Apple Bloom. As the two fillies began to argue with each other, Sweetie Belle noticed a training room, that the trophy room over looked. The training area was a large spherical room with square pylons covering every inch of the room. “Hey Spike,” said Sweetie Belle tugging on Spike’s cape with her magic. “What’s that room?” “That’s the Danger Arena,” answered Spike. “It’s where the Power Ponies train and test their powers using holographic projections.” “Didn’t the spell say that when the fillies are trained? If we became the characters, doesn’t that mean we need to train?” “Well, I don’t know. The Power Ponies really don’t really let anypony in there unless they supervise.” “Oh come on, think about it. You finally get to see it up close and personal,” said Sweetie Belle, as she turned to Spike's head to the still arguing Scootaloo and Apple Bloom. “Plus you get to spend some personal time with a special somepony.” Spike’s cheeks cheeks changed from purple to red, “Y...yeah…..wait what?” “All Power Ponies to the hanger. We have a code purple,” said Matterhorn over the loudspeaker. “What’s that all about?” asked Apple Bloom. “I don’t know. Follow me,” said Spike, as he lead the others to the hanger, accidentally grabbing Scootaloo hoof in the process, causing both of them to blush. “Air vents, why can’t these super scientists find better ways to keep me out,” though the mare as she popped the air vent loose. Surveying the lab of the famous Sparkle labs CEO’s personal Lab, from the open air vent the spying mear dropped two small one device released a mist revealing security laser. The other hitting one of the lasers became subatomic then imploding. “Amature.”  Repelling down the vent the mare located her objective, a large touch screen computer/lab table. Carefully maneuvering the lasers, the mare reached her objective. Plugging in small decrypting device the mare waited for the device to finishing its task. “That brat better not have cheated me on this.” With a small flash the computer's defenses were down and the thief began to go through the computer looking for her true objective. Tampering with the computer caused the lab to light up blaring alarms, casing three hovering security drones to appear. “HALT YOU ARE----” said one of the drones before being shot with the mares sidearm. Before the two other drones could react they exploded, being sliced with the mares double edged sword with their crickets resting on swords pointed crossguards. “Right on time,” said the mare as she found the file she was looking for, downloaded it to the device she used to hack and shot out the window. Jumping out the window, the mare fell from the top floor of the two hundred story building. Hitting a button on her purple and black armor, expanding the suits wings gilding to the adjacent building. Flying through an opening she had created earlier, the mare landed and galloped over to her sniper's perch looking overlooking Maretropolis First National Bank. Taking up her rifle the mare watched as a speeding carriage drove up to bank. “Deathstrike,” said the voice in her ear, causing the mare to roll her eyes. “Yeah Tyrant,” answered the mare, as she began to take off her helmet, concealing her identity. “Do you have the file?” “Sending it to you now.” With the push of a button on the hacking device, the mare transferred the file she had been sent to recover. Diamond Tyrant let out a small smile escape, as she and Silver Aggressor looked through the file displayed on a screen in their carriage. “Is this what you have planned?” asked Silver Aggressor, in awe of the contents on file. “Yes, how objective two coming along?” asked Diamond Tyrant, as she sipped from her drink. “In my sights,” answered the magenta coated unicorn mare with a broken horn and scared right eye covered by an eye patch. “As well as objective four. Want me to engage? Could save you time later.” “No, we will deal with them soon.” With her order given, Deathstrike relaxed her trigger and watched as the green maned Mane-iac existed the stagecoach with white coated blue maned unicorn stallion holding three golden projectile crowns with his magic.
