'Damn my hooves are killing me,' I thought as I walked down the narrow dirt path.

It was almost dawn as I walked the path through the Everfree on my way to the famous Ponyville. Home of the Element's of Harmony and the newly crowned Princess Twilight Sparkle.

Even the very thought of that mare made me grit my teeth to the point I thought they would crack.

It had been a long time since I set hoof in Equestria but I noticed not much had changed. That royal bitch Celestia was still playing the 'motherly ruler' and my sister Twilight was still getting all the attention for starters. Yes you heard right my sister is the famous Princess of Friendship Twilight Sparkle.

Now you may be wondering why it was never mentioned that Twilight had a brother hm? Well that's because I was never recognized. My name is Setting Dawn, older brother of Princess Twilight and younger brother of Gleaming Shield. Formerly Celestia's most prized pupil.

Yeah big shocker right?

'You're rambling again kiddo,' I heard in my head. The voice was deep and was obviously male but was not my own though I knew who it was already.

'I know, I know. But can ya blame me for thinking about my past? I mean it has been a long time since I've been back in Equestria and even with a lot of things staying the same a lot has also changed. The purple bitch grew some wings, got a castle, and made friends while my older sister got married to Cadence and is now ruling YOUR empire. Don't you agree.... Sombra.'

Yeah that's right I was talking to the one and only King Sombra. Enslaver of the Crystal Empire and also my mentor.

'Yeah don't remind me. Those little bastards only got lucky.'

'And you being an arrogant ass didn't have anything to do with it?'

Sombra decided to remain quiet signaling another victory in one of our constant verbal, or in this case mental debates. Now you may be wondering how I can hear Sombra in my head since he was destroyed by me dear sister so long ago? Well in order for that to happen I would need to go back to the beginning. Well I still got quite a ways to go before I reach Ponyville so I'll tell you.

Flashback

'Another day another study session,' I thought to myself as I was getting ready for my lessons with Celestia. Yeah it was great being taught by the Princess herself in all things magical but she was a real slave driver.

As I was combing my mane I got a good look at myself in the mirror with my glacier blue eyes to make sure I didn't miss anything important. My dark grey coat was nice and tidy with not one strand out of place. My now completely brushed dark purple mane and tail that was so much like my little sisters was all straight and professional just the way I liked it. Then I glimpsed my cutie mark a symbol of pride and joy to anypony who had one. It was a setting sun colored with dark purple and orange hues making quite a pretty sight.

I stared at it a little bit longer before the door to the bathroom was thrown open and in walked my older sister Gleaming Shield. Sister, as if at best we were complete strangers. Same could be said for my parents. Ever since Twilight was born I was all but ignored for her. At first I didn't mind as the little filly quickly took a liking to me. Once she heard I was learning under the Princess she started saying she wanted to be just like me. Admittedly it was a great feeling being looked up to.

Going back to Gleaming I took notice of our statures. While I was easily taller than her by a good head despite the fact I was just entering adolescence and she was a full grown mare I was still pretty skinny while she was more toned due to her guard training. She looked a bit sweaty probably from her morning workout and came to wash up. Not wanting to be called a pervert like the last time this happened I quickly left and went downstairs.

In the kitchen I found my parents along with Twilight eating some pancakes. I already knew there wasn't any for me since it has become a sort of the norm the last few years. In those few years though Twilight had also become a student to Celestia after a little mishap in her test to enter into magic school where even then she got more attention and from the Princess no less! She even got a dragon assistant out of it! I won't deny it was frustrating to be ignored as I was by just about everyone but as long as I was still being taught by the Princess I was happy cause then I still had a chance to make a name for myself.

Grabbing a slice of toast I quickly donned my saddle bags and made my way to the castle ready to work. Twilight would show up later due to being given a later time to arrive. She would be moving into the castle soon to be better taught by Celestia which irked me a lot though I would never let it show.

Arriving a few minutes later I easily made my way through the gates and halls of the great castle with apparent ease quickly finding my study room where the Princess usually meets me. But upon opening the door I find the room strangely empty.

'Strange she's usually here by now,' I thought to myself before shrugging it off. She was probably just doing some last minute paperwork or something. Instead I decided to continue working on a special project I had been working on for a couple of months.

A few months ago a found an old book with the starting ingredients of a potion that Starswirl the Bearded was working on that was supposed to grant immortality. So being the extra credit junky I am decided to see if I could complete the formula. It was hard and working on the potion while still maintaining my studies was a killer but I pushed through and I thought I finally had it.

The next hour or two were a blur as I worked on the potion and drowned out the outside world. Then as I added the last ingredient I waited with batted breath to see if it worked. Then to my sheer joy the once dark grey potion turned into a shinning gold! I leaped for joy with a hoof raised high. I had done it! I had completed Starswirl's potion and would become famous just like him! I just had to tell the Princess the good news!

Grabbing the still glowing vial I cork it so as not to spill its precious contents before rushing off to find my mentor.

After an hour or two I finally find her as she was teaching Twilight in the ballroom. From what I could see she was teaching her some illusion spell of some kind. I stopped for a second as I heard the Princess talking to her.

"Very good Twilight I must say you are probably the best student I have ever had the pleasure to teach."

Now Twilight looked elated at the praise but I was a different story. I felt a pang of sadness at that remark. It was like she was silently saying, 'your a much better student than your brother.'

I quickly shook the thought away though. Once she saw what I had done she'll sing a different tune.

"Princess, Princess,"I called as I ran to her. Her and Twilight turning to look at me as Celestia developed a neutral expression with my sister adopting a curious one

"Yes Dawn what is it," she asked in an even tone.

Instead of saying anything I just smile and show her the vial. Her expression then changed to one of upmost shock while my sister stared in awe. I felt extremely proud of myself for what I had done but that quickly changed when I saw Celestia develop an angered look that made me very nervous. Wasn't she supposed to be happy?

"What is that" asked Celestia with an edge to her voice.

Gulping nervously I say, "I-it's Starswirl's immortality p-potion Princess. I-I completed it."

Her anger only seemed to grow as she grabbed the vile in her own magic easily overpowering mine and crushing the vial sending its contents splashing to the floor and losing its golden luster.

I stared in shock as all of my hard work was literally crushed before my very eyes. Looking back at the Princess I flinched under her hard gaze as out of the corner of my eye I saw Twilight back away in fear.

"Did I give you permission to complete the potion?"

"N-no?"

"Then why did you?"

"I thought you w-would be happy."

That seemed to be the wrong thing to say because as soon as those words left my mouth she exploded, "HAPPY!? THAT POTION WAS TO BE A TEST FOR MY BEST STUDENT TO ACCOMPLISH NOT JUST FOR ANYONE TO HAVE A GO AT IT! YOU LEARN WHAT I WANT YOU TO LEARN DO YOU HEAR ME FOAL!?"

I was by this point cowering on the floor as I furiously nodded. Why was she so angry with me? I thought I was her best student? I had done everything she has always asked and then some taking in any knowledge she gave me like a sponge. So why was she so angry at me?

She seemed to calm down after taking a few deep breaths before turning away from me. Cautiously I stand back up hoping she wouldn't yell at me again.

"P-princess," I asked nervously waiting for a response.

"Get out."

Wait what did she say? Did she really just tell me to get out?

"W-what?"

Looking over her shoulder at me I see her once bright eyes are now staring at me coldly with a stern frown on her muzzle.

"I said get out. You went behind my back and performed something that was not meant for you so as of this moment you are no longer my student."

And just like that my world shattered. Being Celestia's apprentice was all I had left. My family never talked to me anymore, no one ever wanted to be my friend or hang out and all I had ever known was being Celestia's student. Then I looked at Twilight and then it all clicked. It was because of HER that this was happening. Ever since she came along no one cared for me anymore. At first I thought I was being irrational but now I saw the truth only because Celestia had just unknowingly given it to me. Or maybe she had and just didn't care anymore.

I quickly left after that not even bothering to look back as Celestia went on to continue her lessons with Twilight. Making my way through the halls I let my mind wander to all of the times I was ignored in favor of my sibling. Every new memory that came forth only made my anger and hatred for not just her but everyone else grow until the point that my horn started to spark with the barely restrained urge to destroy something with my magic.

Before I decided to leave I wanted to get my things from my study especially the notes on the potion. I wouldn't let her have the work I accomplished so easily. As I reached the door to my room I harshly throw it open before violently slamming it shut just as I make it inside. Then I quickly began to gather my things. I didn't know what I would do now but one thing I knew for certain was that I was leaving. Not just leaving Canterlot but Equestria all together as I just couldn't bear staying in the same region as those bastards.

How could they just abandon me like that! I always tried to please everyone and what do I get? I get thrown out and left to rot! I wish I could just make them pay! Something, anything to make them suffer!

Just then I felt a pulse of magic and froze. Waiting a couple of seconds I felt another pulse of magic just like the first one only stronger. It was cold almost like a winter wind as I felt the fur on the back of my neck rise. Turning in the general direction of the source I see one the books on a nearby shelf glowing slightly red. Curiosity got a hold of me as I brought the book to me with my magic.

The book was very old and archaic looking. Worn binding and yellowed pages aside the cover had the image of some kind of demonic face on it. Looking closer I see it's eyes are closed before to my utter shock the eyes snap open revealing blood red pupiless eyes. I instantly drop the book in fright and back away.

The book then opens of its own accord as the pages began to turn rapidly before finally stopping on some random page. I stare in morbid fascination as a dark cloud starts to rise from its pages slowly taking the shape of a transparent pony. The build was that of a stallion being a good head taller than myself, his mane flowed like a wavering shadow as his sharp curved horn was easily seen. His attire was that of a regal cape fit for royalty and a jagged crown upon his head. He also seemed to be wearing some kind of armor on his hooves. His eyes though were what caught me the most. They were a deep red surrounded in a sea of green with wisps of purple smoke bellowing from both sides as his slitted eyes stared in my direction.

He seemed to stare at me for a second, observing me. Then he smiled revealing his sharp teeth much unlike that of regular ponies.

"Ah so you are the one who is so full of hatred," he said with a slight hiss to his deep voice. Just who was this guy and what did he want?

"Who are you," I asked cautiously.

He seemed to smile wider at my question, "why I am the ruler of the Crystal Empire. I am King Sombra!"

And just like that it hit me. I remembered seeing a picture of this guy in one of the books on the fabled lost empire. This was the very same unicorn who was said to be so powerful that not even the princesses could stand up to him on their own! But why was he talking to me never mind actually being alive or whatever he was at the moment.

"I see you know who I am colt. Now you must have many questions but first answer mine. Do you really want Celestia to suffer for your torment? I have seen the acts committed against you and agree that you are in your right to be angry and hateful. If you truly want justice for your poor treatment I can help you. Will you accept my humble offer?"

He could give me a chance at vengeance? He could get me justice for all of the crap I have had to put up with for no damn reason? This was too damn good to be true.

"And why would you help me? What could possibly be in it for you?"

Sombra then let loose a great laugh lasting a good minute as I stared at him wondering if being dead for over a thousand years had warped his brain.

"Oh you are smart boy. Yes you will make a fine student. What I get in turn is to pass on my teachings and if you reach my expectations I will offer you a high ranking position as my second in command once I rule all of Equestria."

"How can you rule anything if your dead?"

"I'll explain that later but for now will you accept my offer child?"

Honestly what did I have to lose at this point? The only thing I had going for me was being Celestia's student and now even that was gone. So looking Sombra in the eyes I say with unquestionable resolve, "you have a deal my King."

Then in an instant his form dissipated into shadows that soon rushed towards me. I gasped in surprise as the shadows encircled me cutting off all light. Then I felt as the shadows poured into my being from every possible point. It entered my mouth, eyes, ears and even the pores on my body.

It was a strange feeling almost as if I was being dunked in cold water. Then as quickly as it began it was done. and the shadows had dispersed

Looking around I noticed I felt much stronger than before but I also felt different. Reaching a hoof up to rub my head I notice my hoof was no longer grey and was instead a midnight blue.

I quickly rushed over to a nearby body mirror I used whenever I performed a spell on myself so I could see the results and looked myself over. Gone was my grey coat replaced by a dark midnight blue, my once professional purple mane and tail were replaced by a snow white mess of a mane that flowed in an invisible wind. My eyes were now exactly like Sombra's along with my horn now becoming curved and sharp. Not only that I looked far more muscular with my height going up quite a bit to where I was probably eye level with Celestia's chin. My Cutie mark though was a big difference. It no longer resembled the bright colors of a rising sun and now took on the appearance of one that was setting. The sun itself looked to be made of dark crystal as the colors around it changed from orange and purple to complete crimson.

Staring at myself for a good minute I hear Sombra's voice in my head say in a proud tone, 'so my new apprentice what should you be called now? For you most certainly aren't who you used to be.'

He was right. I was no longer Setting Dawn so I could no longer go by that name, not that I would want to since it would only remind me of my good for nothing family. As I thought of what I would now be called it came to me but a few moments later.

Smiling to myself to reveal my now sharpened teeth I say, "Rising Dusk. That is my new name and I will make sure that they remember it."

End of Flashback

And just like that my new life began. I left Equestria and traveled the other parts of the world learning many forms of magic and meeting many new beings along the way. I had also learned that the reason Sombra was able to visit me at that time was because the book I saw was actually his personal book on dark magic and in an attempt to keep himself free had placed a piece of his soul into it and it was my growing hatred that had awakened him.

In my time spent with him as my teacher we really bonded to the point we were like a father and son instead of student and teacher. Heck Sombra even adopted me and declared me Prince of the Crystal Empire! It may not mean anything to anyone else but it meant a lot to me. It was kind of sad though since when he finally escaped his prison and started his hostile takeover I was in Griffonia and couldn't reach him before he was defeated again and his body destroyed by my damn siblings and their annoying friends.

But now I was back and soon I would have revenge not only for me but for my father as well.

'Look kid we made it.'

Breaking from my thoughts I see my adoptive father is right and Ponyville could be seen in the distance from my spot on the edge of the forest.

'Well now sister, time to see who truly is the prodigy. The student of the sun or the apprentice of shadows.'

Even from where I was standing I could see the crystal castle of my sister in the distance. It gleamed in the light of the rising sun making quite the beautiful sight. Now I may hate that mare with a passion but even I had to admit she had a great castle.

'Man what I wouldn't give to have that castle.[/'color]

'By the time I'm done that will be our castle. Or one of them at least.'

'Why would we need more than one?'

'The hell if I know.'

The rest of the journey was met with silence as I made my way into the small town. I wasted no time to take in the sights and headed straight for Town hall so I could get a place to stay.

Now some may say that staying in the same town as your enemy would be the ultimate act of stupidity and they would be right on most occasions. But this wasn't most occasions. As they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Walking into the rather plain building I walked right up to the secretary who then noticed my presence and gave me her full attention.

"Why hello there sir how may I help you?"

"I need to speak with the Mayor about finding housing."

"I'm sorry sir but you will have to make an appointment as Mayor Mare is very busy at the moment."

Well this would not do. I wasn't going to wait around any longer than I had to so I think it was time for me to work a little mind magic. My horn then start to glow a bright crimson before a similar glow appears in the mares eyes. Her mental defenses were weaker than I thought they would be making so much easier to get inside.

"Now listen here. While I go in to talk to the Mayor you can have the rest of the day off to do as you please. You will not remember me or any remnant of this meeting taking place. Understood?"

She simply gave a dumb nod as I let my magic fade. Without another word the mare got up and left leaving me alone in the office.

'The minds of ponies this day and age are so weak. I miss the challenge of breaking a foes mind completely as they struggle in vain.'

'You are one cruel motherfucker.'

'Yeah I rutted a lot of mothers to.'

'MOVING ON!'

I did NOT want to hear about any of Sombra's ancient conquest. The very thought of what he may say sent chills down my spine. Instead I focused on the task at hand and walked into the mayors office.

The mayor was a tan mare with a grey mane and tail and had a tie around her neck as well as a pair of glasses. I didn't dwell to much on her appearance as I closed the door getting her attention.

She looked at me in surprise before clearing her throat and regaining her composure.

"Oh hello there sir I didn't see you come in. What are you doing in here anyhow? I told my secretary that I was unavailable today."

"Oh don't worry this won't take long. I just need to know if there was a house for purchase here in town."

"Oh you must be new here then! Well let's just see what we have on the market then shall we."

As she went to a nearby filing cabinet I could not help but be surprised at the sheer level of kindness being shown. I was expecting to have to mess with her mind to get her to do what I wanted but instead she's doing it all on her own, and happily I might add! This is one crazy ass town that's for sure.

I was broken from my musing by a cry of triumph coming from the mayor as she returned with a stack of documents.

"Well here are all of our available houses sir."

"Please just call me Dusk and thank you for taking time out of your day to help me."

Hey I may be evil to a point but I still have manner's.

Waving her hoof dismissively she says with a smile, "oh think nothing of it! To be honest I was quite relieved to have a break from that paperwork. But if I may ask why such an abnormal looking stallion such as yourself decided make your home in Ponyville?"

Returning her smile with one of my own I say, " let's just say I want to be closer to my family," before look down at the documents to try and find a house perfect for what I have planned. Skimming through a few of them I come upon an old two story home right outside of Ponyville. Well within walking distance and just far enough away that it was unlikely that I would be bothered. Perfect.

"I think I found the one I want mayor."

Showing her the file she nods and says, "very well. Now will you be renting this or paying for it outright?"

"I will buy it now thank you very much."

She raises a quizzical brow at this, "are you sure Dusk? This home is pretty expensive."

My answer was taking a fairly large sack out of my saddle bags and tossing it onto the floor spilling its contents. Inside were an assortment of finely cut jewels and golden coins.

The mayors jaw hit the ground while I smiled. You would not believe what I had to do to get all of that crap and then some.

Shaking out of her stupor the mayor heads behind her desk before tossing me a key that I caught with my magic. Nodding my head in thanks I quickly take my leave eager to get to my new home and make some new additions.

On the way there I felt heard my stomach growl reminding me it has been awhile since I last ate. Guess skipping breakfast to get to Ponyville quicker wasn't the best idea.

Luckily I spotted what looked to be a bakery. Or at least I think it was a bakery since the whole damn building looked like a giant cake. Seriously how did they make it look so real?

Checking to make sure I had enough bits I trot into the establishment ignoring the stares I was getting from the general populous. It always confused me how mares outnumbered stallions about ten to one. How did that end up happening?

Stepping inside the building I was assaulted by the overwhelming smell of sweets that already had my mouth watering. Looking around I see there wasn't that many ponies in here meaning it was probably a slow day. That was until my eyes found a certain table at the far corner making me freeze in my tracks.

'Oh shit.'

Sombra could say that again. Cause at that table sat none other than my sister Twilight Sparkle and the rest of her friends. I already knew all of their names from Sombra so there was no confusing them with someone else. Just seeing Twilight nearly brought a disgusted look to my face but I held it back and kept neutral.

Instead I walked up to the counter were a baby blue mare with a swirled pink mane and tail was waiting to take orders.

She smiled as she saw my approach, "hello there sir welcome to Sugarcube corner! What would you like."

"Just a dozen muffins to go please."

"Alright dear it will only be a minute."

I just nodded my head and avoided looking over at where my sister was hoping to avoid detection. Sadly it was not meant to be as in an instant I found my vision filled with two blue eyes belonging to a certain pink element of Laughter.

"HitheremisterIhaven'tseenyoubeforewhichmakesyounewandnowImustthrowyouapartybye!"

All of that said with one breath and then she was gone as if she was never there leaving me in wide-eyed shock.

'What the ell was that thing!?'

'I don't know but now I'm scared.'

"Sorry bout' that partner. Pinkie can be a little overwhelmin' when she meets a new pony comin into town. By the way my names Applejack. (Alright little side note, I am NOT going to be describing how they look cause honestly if you don't know what they look like and your on this site just leave right now. P.S. I apologize if Aj's accent isn't exactly right but hey at least I'm trying. That is all.)

"Yes darling don't let Pinkie's brash actions get to you. Oh where are my manners, my name is Rarity darling."

I did not want to go through an entire introduction so I just decided to tell them I knew all of them already to save time. I still had work to do after all.

"While I'm flattered for the introduction but there really is no need. After all there isn't a single soul that doesn't already know about the famous Element's of Harmony."

'Laying on the praise a little thick aren't we?'

'Hey I hate this just as much as you do but the sooner I get out of here the better.'

It was then Twilight walked up to me until we were nearly nose to nose. Her gaze was intense as if she was looking into my soul. What the hell could she want? Did she recognize me? No impossible I look completely different from our last encounter so that couldn't be it. So what the hell was she looking for?

"Uh Twi your getting a little close don't ya think," asked the rainbow mane one. I think her name was Rainbow Dash if memory serves.

At that the Princess of Friendship practically leaped back but still kept a firm gaze on me.

Thankfully the mare who took my order came back with said order.

"Sir here is your muffins. Will that be all?"

"Yes thank you," I said before paying the exact amount of bits with a small tip. Like I said before I may be evil but I am by no means a complete ass. At least most of the time.

With that I started to make my way to the door but was almost instantly blocked by my little sister once more. Seriously what was her problem?

"Can I help you with something Princess?"

"Do I know you?"

Alright maybe it wasn't so far fetched that she recognized me. Well you know what they say, deny, deny, deny.

"I don't think so Princess. I for one would remember meeting royalty such as yourself."

'Kiss ass.'

'Shut up dad!'

Twilight didn't seem to buy my answer and apparently the Element of Honesty noticed my little fib as well. Damn how could I have forgotten about her. I think now would be a good time to beat a hasty retreat.

"As much as I would love to stay and chat I have some other matters to attend to so later!"

Before anyone could react I had teleported to the outskirts of Ponyville near where my new home supposedly was. Still I did not feel safe. Twilight saw something. I don't know what but whatever it was it could lead to future problems. Without a doubt she would go to Celestia like the loyal dog she was. I wasn't ready to face Celestia or her sister yet and if they came there is no doubt they would be able to sense my dark magic no matter how well I hid it.

'Hey dad is there any other way for me to hard my dark magic to where not even Celestia can detect it?'

'Well there is but you're not going to like it.'

'What is it?'

'Well basically you will have to separate yourself from your dark magic.'

'WHAT!? But that'll make me as weak as a regular unicorn!'

'Actually if it goes well enough you will be about as strong as that damn sister of yours. Though not as strong as Celestia's pet you will be far from helpless. Plus your magic will return to eventually.'

'Well it doesn't look like I have any other options at this point. So how do I perform the spell?'

'Just let me handle it, but I warn you it will hurt like a son of a bitch.'

I then waited for Sombra to start the spell. For a full good minute I just stood there and it was starting to irritate me. Just as I was about to ask Sombra what the big hold up was I felt pain shoot through my body so horrendous that I collapsed to the ground with a silent scream of agony.

It felt as if my insides were being burned and ripped out at the same time. In laymen's terms, IT FUCKING HURT!

Thankfully it didn't last too long and before I knew it the pain was gone and in it's place was a dull soreness. Well that and I felt significantly weaker in the magical department.

'Well that sucked dad. Did it work? Please tell me it did.'

'Oh it worked all right. Now go to your new house while I take a nap. Taking away dark magic is a lot more draining than giving it.'

Thanking dad for his help I head off to my new residence happy that at least one of my problems were solved. But now my plans were severely delayed without my dark magic around to help me. But I'll make it work. I'm resourceful if anything.

Hey guys I know this may not be a new chapter but its just so I can explain something to you. I agree with you guys completely that the backstory was a little rushed and I think I may have a way to fix that. Basically I will just have situations during the story that will trigger a past memory that will transfer into a flashback. This will include experiences from both his life before meeting Sombra and during his travels. I hope this works for you guys and if not then I guess I can rewrite his backstory into multiple chapters instead. Well that's all I got for ya so later.

Chapter 3

View Online

Every step I made towards my new home was met with strained grunts of pain. I wasn't in any agonizing pain but I was still very sore from having my dark magic being taken away. For years I had lived with dark magic, breathed it, felt comfort from it that to be without it felt as if I was missing a part of my soul.

'Don't worry about it kiddo its only for a short while.'

'Yeah I know but it still doesn't take away that empty feeling. You know what lets not talk about it and just get home. I still need to figure out how to make the necessary changes for our plans without the help of my dark magic along with figuring out how I'm going to deal with the confrontation with Celestia and the Elements which we both know is coming.'

Sombra hummed in agreement and before I knew it I was standing at the front door of my knew home. It was nothing really special in appearance. It looked like a log cabin only bigger with a brick foundation. Pulling out my key I quickly unlock my door wanting to have a quick look around and figure out what to do in the morning.

Stepping inside I instantly noted how dark it was. Unnaturally dark. Looking back outside I noticed the sun was still pretty high in the sky and the blinds were open so how was no light getting in? I was instantly on guard expecting some kind of attack. Moments later I got my answer when the lights were abruptly turned on along with multiple voices yelling out, "SURPRISE!"

As soon as that happened I lashed out with a blast of magic that was sent sailing towards the back of the room making everypony hit the deck. When everypony finally looked up they turned to where the blast hit and saw a scorch mark that had planted itself right beside the head of some mare who was frozen to her spot and slightly quivering.

'Good thing I managed to change my aim at the last second or I would have melted that mares face off.'

'I blame them for that. I mean how the hell did they even know where you live?'

While I was having my inner conversation with Sombra the pony's seemed to get over their shock and were now partying as if nothing had happened at all. Taking a closer look at my surroundings I spot a banner reading 'WELCOME TO PONYVILLE RISING DUSK!' I didn't even bother to try and question it since it was probably better for my sanity that way. Now I had to figure out how to get these ponies out of my house as quickly as possible.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw the Elements approaching me all with serious looks. Well Fluttershy was actually hiding behind Rarity and Pinkie was just hopping along with a dopey smile on her face. Knowing what was coming I attempt to avoid them by heading to the stairs that hopefully lead to one of the bedrooms.

Just as I was making my way towards the stairs though I found myself cut off by the Element of Loyalty herself. Her rosy red eyes glared at me in an attempt at intimidation. I returned her gaze with one of my own. This had the desired effect of making her flinch back. At that time I found myself cornered by the others.

Looking at the others I try to think of a way out of this without getting violent. Looks like I'll have to try to talk my way out of this then.

"Alright ladies what is it you want?"

"We want to know who you really are," demanded Twilight.

"Listen Princess I told you who I am but just in case you didn't get it the first time I will repeat myself and say a little more. I am Rising Dusk. I've been wandering around the globe for some time studying different forms of magic before finally settling down here in Ponyville. Does that answer your question?"

She turned to the Element of Honesty for conformation.

"He's tellin the truth fur the most part. His name doesn't seem to be completely truthful though."

Damn. I thought telling most of the truth would override that small fib.

"Alright ya got me. Rising Dusk isn't my real name but its the only name I go by now so there is no point in telling you what I was once called. Now if you would be so kind as to get out of my house and leave me the hell alone because I am very tired and just want to go to bed. Oh and take the rest of them with you if you don't mind."

"We are not done with this conversation just yet."

That voice. Most of the time it held a motherly tone to it but now was cold and serious. Not even bothering to look at the speaker I walk towards the refreshments table and pour myself a glass all the while planning how I am going to handle this. During that time I notice everypony else leaving.

"So what brings you to my home Princess."

Turning around I come face to face with Princess Celestia along with her sister Princess Luna with the Elements taking up position slightly behind them.

"For one my student has notified me of a particular stallion who radiates a lot of dark magic. Care to explain why that is?"

"well Princess I have been studying all forms of magic across the world so I think that would include studying dark magic as well wouldn't it? Also last time I checked the study and usage of dark magic was not illegal in Equestria so I don't really see the problem with it."

"It may not be illegal but is severely frowned upon."

"What do I care what you or others think? If I want to do something I am going to damn well do it whether you like it or not."

They were left speechless by my obvious lack of respect. I wasn't going to bend knee to this solar bitch or her socially awkward sister and its best if they learn that early on. Sure this may jeopardize my plans but right now I didn't care. I was going to stick it to this high and mighty bitch one way or another.

"How dare thou speaks to us like that," Luna shouted. Not exactly in the Royal Canterlot voice but still close enough to where my ears ring.

I just shrugged in response and started to sip at my drink that had gone ignored until this moment. All of the mares seemed flustered which was actually pretty funny to me. Except Celestia, she was giving me a calculating look as if she was trying to pry something from me just with her eyes alone.

For a moment I saw her horn flare with magic and before I could brace myself I was struck by a magic bolt. But I instantly noticed that I didn't feel any pain and wondered what the hell did she do to me? I turn towards her ready to demand an answer only to see the shocked expressions on all of their faces especially Twilights and Celestia's.

"What the hell did you do to me Celestia?"

"Take a look for yourself, Setting Dawn."

Wait, what? How did she know it was me!?

She then conjured a mirror before me and I could see exactly what she had done. She had cast a spell that had revealed what I used to look like before I received my dark magic. Thankfully it was just an illusion spell so with a flare of my own magic I broke it and returned to my original appearance.

"Yeah so what now you know who I am. This doesn't change the fact I want you to get out and leave me alone."

"B-b-but how? I thought you were dead," stuttered Twilight. Real fucking original.

"Well as you can plainly see I am not dead. Now will you please just get the hell out of my house!?"

None of them moved though and I was starting to get really pissed off. It was weird that Sombra hadn't spoken up at all during this time but I didn't question it.

"But where have you been all of these years?"

Alright now I can't hold it anymore. My patience was strained from the moment the Element's confronted me and now it just snapped.

"Where have I been? Well since Celestia threw me out I've just been traveling around learning as much magic as possible. I dare say I know more forms of magic than you could ever hope to learn 'sister'. Now I am done talking so just leave I don't want to see any of you. Especially you two." At this I gestured towards Twilight and Celestia.

They wordlessly left with Celestia and Twilight casting me sorrowful glances. I didn't care how they felt though, all I was thinking about now was how much harder it would make my plans now that they know who exactly I am. Celestia will probably want to keep a close eye on me and Twilight will probably come by asking a lot of questions and actually expect to get an answer from me.

But what's done is done and all I can do now is move forward with as much caution as possible. Right now though I need to get some sleep, hopefully this place still has a bed that is somewhat usable.

It seemed that my assumptions on things to come was right.

Everyday Twilight came and tried to ask me questions about where I had been and the types of magic I had learned. Of course I told her nothing and promptly slammed the door in her face. If that wasn't enough Celestia has been sending me letters like crazy asking for an official audience. Yeah the only way that was happening was if I was in chains and dragged there.

The Princesses even had the nerve to send spies to basically stalk me!

How did I know they were spies? Well that's because their mannerisms were that of a guard and I always found them somewhere near my person at nearly every turn just staring at me.

It was also why I currently am handling on of my stalkers to try and get some info out of them. Who knows what Celestia may have planned, she may be a bitch but she wasn't stupid by a long shot. We were in my newly constructed basement that was built with my magic but took longer than I wanted do to the temporary loss of my dark magic which I had gotten back not too long ago.

"Alright sweetheart I'll ask you again... what have you reported to Celestia and what is your exact mission pertaining to me," I asked to tied up mare for probably the thousandth time in the last four hours. It was really getting old.

Said mare was a unicorn and had a light green coat with a light purple mane and tail. Her eyes were a vibrant grey and she had a closet door swinging open as a cutie mark. All in all she was a decent looking mare. Or she would be if not for the multiple bruises and cuts running all along her ragged figure as she hung from some chains attached to a wall. Sombra had rubbed off on me in more ways than one I suppose.

The mare took some deep breaths that sounded very ragged before voicing her response in a scratchy voice obviously hoarse from her earlier screams.

"I won't say a damn thing you scumbag."

For extra measure she spit on my face. I calmly wiped the mares spit from my visage before standing over her menacingly making her cower a bit.

Then before she could speak again I rammed my hood into her gut making her hunch and actually vomit a bit with bits of blood mixed in. Staring at her shaking form I wait a bit before gently lifting her head up to look m in the eyes. The fear she radiated actually made me smile and in turned creeped her the hell out.

"Now dear no need to be like that. Just tell me what I want to know and I'll let you go. Or must I continue with my crude punishments?"

Feeling her fear grow made me smirk mentally. I was wearing her down. Yet if she didn't accept this time I was afraid I would have to resort to plan B. Plan B would make what I have done so far look downright childish by comparison.

"N-n-no! I won't let you break me!"

Shaking my head I almost felt sorry for what I was about to do. Almost being the key word.

"Sorry my dear but I don't need your cooperation. I just thought it would be the better option for you but if this is what you have chosen then so be it."

With that my horned flared and the black wispy aura engulfed the mare as well seeping into her mouth, eyes and ears easily. For a moment she looked completely fine. Then she began to scream in agony as my spell took hold and began to break down her mental barriers. Blood started coming out of her ears and eyes as I kept up the spell.

Gradually the mare was quieting down as her mind was almost completely under my control if her slightly glowing eyes were any indication. And like that she was mine. This was basically a more concentrated version of Sombra's spell he used to enslave the Crystal Empire only much more powerful.

"Now tell me what you know. Starting with your name and standing with Celestia."

"My name is Closet Case and I am a high ranking spy for Celestia's investigation department."

"Good now what does Celestia know about me so far?"

"All she has been told is that most of your time is spent in your home doing Faust knows what."

So old sunbutt had no idea what I was up to huh? Excellent. The less she knows the better. But now came the matter of what to do with this mare. I couldn't keep her here for risk of my spell eventually wearing off and her running off and telling Celestia about what went down here.

Thankfully my answer came to me in the form of one of my subordinates.

"Dusk I have come to give my report. Oh it seems you are busy."

The voice was obviously female and had a slight echo to it. Turning around I faced the new arrival who turned out to be none other than the Queen of the Changelings Chrysalis. Though in all honesty there aren't many changelings left wandering around.

"Yes Chrysalis I have been busy as you can see. Now what do you have to report on the Crystal Empire?"

"Not much except that the lovely couple are leaving soon for Canterlot on some 'urgent business.' Now when do I get my chance at revenge!?"

"Patience Chrysalis."

"Patience? PATIENCE!? I HAVE BEEN PATIENT LONG ENOUGH DOING THESE MENIAL TASK AND I DEMAND YOU-"

"YOU DEMAND NOTHING YOU INSECT! I SCRAPED YOUR DYING HUSK OFF THE GROUND AND HEALED YOU BECASUSE I FOUND YOUR TALENTS USEFUL BUT I WILL NOT TOLERATE YOUR DISOBEDIENCE UNDERSTOOD!?"

My words only seemed to anger the Queen more to the point she lunged at me in a blind rage. In response I back-hoofed her sending her to the ground on her back where I pinned her with my hooves. I gently added pressure to mak breathing a little more difficult for her and to get my point across. I was in command here and she better remember it.

"When I healed you and took you in Chrysalis I promised you revenge for your lost brood if you served me. Now I will keep my word but I will not tolerate your disrespect. So be patient and follow my orders or else you will wish I had left you to die in the dirt like how I found you. But since you have been a good sport up until now I will give you a little something. You can use this mare here to your hearts content as I have no need for a mindless servant. Now if you'll excuse me I have some more plans to make."

And like that I left Chrysalis with her new toy. I didn't want to be there anymore as I felt a little shameful at what I did to that unfortunate mare. She was just an obstacle that needed to be removed on the way to my goal.

Now I had to deal with more pressing issues. For one the Grand Galloping Gala was coming up and I would no doubt be invited as Celestia would use it to keep an eye on me. Even though she had no proof she just knew I was a threat and was looking for any reason she could to lock me away.

Too bad for her I never leave any loose ends.

But I still needed more support if I was to successfully overthrow Celestia. How to get them was the real question though. I could always control their minds but it was too time consuming and Celestia would notice if all of her citizens just all of a sudden became mindless zombies. This left me in quite the predicament.

My thoughts were interrupted by some laughter coming from outside my house. Curious as to what was happening I look outside to see a trio of familiar fillies playing and just like that it hit me. Why only go after the adults when children were so much more impressionable.

As I went to 'talk' to the fillies I couldn't help but smile. Usually I would detest acts like this but I realized as the days went by I started to care less and less. Should I be worried? Probably. Am I? Not in the slightest. All that mattered now was my own goals and those three would be instrumental whether they wanted to be or not.

As I walked towards the trio of fillies I took in each of their appearances and realized who exactly I was about to bring into my fold. It was the little sisters of two of the Element's with the third being merely a very close fan mare. If I remembered correctly they were named Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. I had also been informed at their innate talent in causing absolute mayhem without even trying which would help me well in the future.

The fillies saw me approach and stopped playing to look at me. Their stares held no hate or fear but more along the lines of curiosity.

"Hello there girls how are you today," I asked as politely as possible.

"Uh...hi Mr.Dusk," spoke Applebloom with the others mumbling their own greetings.

"Now girls why aren't you talking to me, did I do something wrong?"

"Our sisters said to stay away from you," answered Sweetie Belle.

"Yeah Rainbow Dash said you were bad news and to stay as far away from you as possible," finished Scootaloo.

"Well you apparently can't follow directions very well since you are standing right in front of my house. Now tell me what were you doing outside of my home a moment ago?"

"We were tryin to help Scoots fly to try and help her git her cutie mark in flyin but it's beginin to look hopeless," said Applebloom sadly.

"I just don't understand why I can't fly! Every other Pegasus my age can at least hover with ease and I can barely manage even that! Its not fair," cried Scootaloo.

As the other two tried to comfort their slightly crying friend I couldn't help but feel sorry for the young filly. She reminded me of myself in a way I couldn't quite understand. Still this would not dissuade me from what I was about to do. She might actually thank me for it later on.

"If I may can I see your wings for a second I need to see something."

Scootaloo reluctantly spread out her small wings. As soon as she did I used my magic to scan her wings down to the very blood vessel's. That's where I saw it. It was hard to spot even with my enhanced magic trying to make it as clear as possible but it was there. She had a rare genetic disorder that is usually hereditary and she was unfortunate enough to be in the generation to catch it. It wouldn't completely stop her from flying but she would never be able to fly as fast or as smoothly as a regular Pegasus.

I Informed Scootaloo of my findings and her and her friends were shocked at what I had told them. Not surprising.

"B-b-but then how come the doctor's never told me about this? I've been there numerous times and they never told me anything about this!"

"They probably never saw it. I barely even saw it only because my magic is stronger than most. I'm sorry kid but that's just how it is."

The little filly was nearly in tears but trying to hold them back. She was a strong one and I could respect that. Her friends tried to comfort her even though there wasn't much they could do to help. Honestly I was envious of these little fillies. They had a friendship I had only ever dreamed of having and it saddened me.

'Hey kiddo its alright. If you ever feel lonely I'll always be here for ya.'

'Thanks dad I needed that. Let's get back to the task at hand.'

Turning my attention to the group of fillies I waited until they had calmed down some to make my move. If this went well I would have three new spies at my beck and call and they wouldn't even know it.

"You okay Scootaloo?"

"Yeah Mr.Dusk."

"Please just call me Dusk."

"Well Dusk though it may suck that I'll never get to fly like Rainbow Dash I want to say thanks for telling me."

"Now who said you couldn't fly like Rainbow Dash?"

Now I had her full attention as well as the other two as I was given curious stares with a hint of confusion.

"But ya'll just said that there disease wouldn't let her," said Applebloom.

"Yes I did, but I never said nothing could be done about it. Like say...remove it."

"Can you really get rid of this thing in my wings," asked Scootaloo with her eyes showing the smallest traces of hope.

"Yes I can. Once I am done you with be able to fly like an average Pegasus or if you want I can make you even faster. If your friends want as well I can enhance them as well. For Applebloom I can make you just as strong or even stronger than your big brother. As for Sweetie Belle I can make your magic prowess sky rocket. What do you say."

Scootaloo was ready to jump at the opportunity but Applebloom held her back looking more than a little suspicious. Which I wasn't expecting. Well it wouldn't be the first time somepony surprised me.

"Now if'n we accept this what do ya'll want in return?"

"Now why would I need anything in return?"

"Ma sis always tol' me that 'nothing comes without a price.' So what do ya want in return?"

Well wasn't she the smart little filly. Her family may seem like a bunch of undereducated hicks but that apparently wasn't the case. I'm really starting to like these three.

"Well when you put it that way then my price is simply that you don't tell your sisters or other family members where you got your abilities. So do we have a deal?"

Instead of agreeing right away the trio formed a group huddle with occasional glances sent to me. I raised a brow at this little scene which I found quite amusing. Truly they would be far better company than Chrysalis. I had no delusions that she would try to betray me the first chance she got and try to take Equestria for herself. Thankfully I had a plan for if and when such an event occurred.

After a few more minutes of this 'meeting' they turned to face me with their decision.

"Well girls what do ya say?"

"We accept Dusk," said Sweetie Belle happily with the other two looking quite eager as well.

"Alright girls if you say so. Now get ready for you may feel a slight pinch when I do this."

I gave the girls a minute to brace themselves before I flared my magic with its shadowy aura quickly enveloping the CMC. They winced a little when my magic surrounded them but otherwise showed now outward signs of discomfort. It was a little difficult to take away Scootaloo's illness while at the same time enhancing the CMC's abilities but I managed.

It took nearly a whole hour for me to complete the process but in the end it was worth it and now I had three unknowing subordinates.

"Wow I feel amazing," shouted Sweetie Belle as her horn crackled with barely contained magical power.

"Yeah no kiddin, I feel like I can crush a mountain," chorused Applebloom as she slammed a hood into the ground creating a small crater which surprised even me. The Apple's really are some tough ponies.

"Forget crushing mountains! I can actually fly now and I don't have to nearly pass out to do it," exclaimed Scootaloo happily as she was now actually flying with apparent ease. Given some time I could almost guarantee she would surpass her idol.

"Well though I am glad to help girls I think you should run along home now. I myself have a few things to take care of so if you would excuse me."

Before I could leave though I was hugged by all three fillies with them all saying 'thank you' over and over again. They then flew and/or ran off towards their next destination leaving me to stand there in shock. It had been so long since I had received such a sign of affection that it was completely alien to me.

Shaking that off I made my way back to my home. Upon entering I found Chrysalis laying on the sofa reading some fashion magazine. Looking towards the basement door I notice it slightly ajar and some various sounds of grunting that I recognized as the sound changeling drones make.

"I see you gave your new toy to your children. May I ask why?"

"She had no real skill and was a complete bore so I figured she would be better serving my children," replied the changeling Queen not even bothering to look up from her magazine.

Usually I would just ignore her and go on about my business but right now I was in a good mood and feeling merciful and even slight pity for the poor mare surely being abused down below.

"Alright but make sure they don't completely brake her. I want her alive and able to function properly."

Now Chrysalis lowered her reading material to gaze at me with a raised brow no doubt curious at why I had a sudden care for my prisoner.

"Now Dusk what brought on this sudden act of mercy? This is very unlike you."

"I don't need to answer to you Chrysalis just make sure my orders are followed or both you and your brood will suffer."

Waving her hoof in a 'whatever' motion she returned to her magazine. I already knew she sent my command to her children through their hive link that all of their kind shared.

With that done I go to check my mail and find exactly what I was expecting. Another letter from the Solar skank herself had found its way to my home only this time it held inside a golden ticket and a note 'inviting' me to this years Gala. Well if Celestia wanted me to come so badly who am I to deny her. She had no idea what new hell she was about to unleash upon herself.

"Chrysalis I hope you got a fancy ass dress cause we are gonna crash a party."

"About damn time! I was getting bored reading this magazine over and over again!"

Oh yes Celestia I can assure you that this is one Gala you will NEVER forget.

"Hurry up Chrysalis! I don't want to be late to the Gala!" I yelled upstairs in annoyance. Apparently all females of any species take too long to get ready.

"Oh be patient! You can't rush perfection!" Was the Changeling Queens reply.

I growl low in my throat and go stand by the front door waiting for her to come down. I still find it ridiculous that a creature able to change their appearance at will can still take so long to 'freshen up' or something. Who the hell is she trying to impress anyhow? The only high note is that we finally got rid of Celestia's little spy. We ended up sending her back to Canterlot but with some minor adjustments to her psych that made her a sleeper agent of sorts that instead of spying on us she is now spying on Celestia.

While I waited for Chrysalis to come down I made sure my own appearance wasn't missing anything. I had my coat freshly groomed yet I kept my mane in its usual style, I wore a simple silver tux with a black undershirt yet underneath that I wore leather armor. Call me paranoid but better safe then sorry.

"Alright I'm ready now Dusk." Announced Chrysalis as the sound of her hooves hitting the stairs echoed through the house.

"About damn time." I mutter to myself as I turn to watch her come down the stairs.

She chose to take the form of a rather tall mare that sort of reminded me of that one model Fleur De Lis only with a few key differences. Such as her eyes still remained as her usual toxic green, her white coat was a few shades darker, her mane and tail were a dark purple, and her Cutie Mark was a hoof mirror. Her dress was a tight fitting green dress that showed off her curves and brought out her eyes. Overall she would have most stallions drooling at the mere sight of her. Too bad for her that I am not one of those stallions.

"About time Chrysalis now come on we don't have all day. The Gala should be starting soon and I want to make an entrance."

Chrysalis rolled her eyes but stood beside me nonetheless as I started to focus my magic. I wasn't patient enough to simply take a carriage all the way to Canterlot and teleporting is pretty dull. So I decided to try an alternative to teleporting called portals. If one is versed enough in the spell you can control many things about thee portal like how large it is and even what color you want it to be. I chose a swirling sky blue surrounded by a fiery orange and made the portal large enough for a manticore to walk through.

Turning to my companion I see her jaw on the ground in shock and it makes me smile a bit. What can I say I'm a bit of a show off.

"Come a long now Chrysalis we have a party to attend. But what should I call you in this form?" I asked knowing that if I called her by her true name we would both be in deep shit.

Shaking herself from her little trance she throws a bright smile my way that doesn't impress me in the least.

"Oh call me Bright Delight."

Resisting the urge to roll my eyes at her chosen name I wave her along with my hoof and she quickly falls in line beside me as we walk through the portal. Walking through a portal feels almost like walking through water and gives one a kind of weightless feeling. So coming out on the other side Chrysalis had to lean on me for support since she wasn't quite use to the feeling.

When we finally exited the portal it was right at the entrance to the Gala as I had intended. Now everypony that was attending the Gala was looking at my companion and I with a sense of awe. Even Celestia's face was showing how surprised she was at my entrance. Oh how I wish I had a camera.

"I hope we are not late Princess." I say in a polite manner.

This seems to snap her from her thoughts as she shakes her head and gives me a motherly smile. The sight nearly made me vomit.

"Oh no Dusk you are actually just in time. Who might your date be?"

"My companion is Bright Delight. Now can we go in please?" I answer quickly. The longer I am around this mare the more I want to just up and strangle her.

She frowned a bit at my blatant disrespect but still allowed Chrysalis and I to proceed. As soon as we entered the room I sent Chrysalis off to go 'mingle' with the nobles. And by mingle I meant she would be using her magic to draw them to a place for her changelings to pick up and then replace them. You can never have too many spies after all.

Meanwhile I went to the nearest refreshment table and got myself a glass of wine. After that I stood on the sidelines and took stock of who was in the room and planning how I could maybe use them to my advantage. That was until the last ponies I wanted to see showed up. Twilight and her friends had arrived as well as my so called parents. If that wasn't enough Gleaming Shield and Cadence had also arrived.

My grip on my glass tightened to the point I would have broken it had I not reigned in my anger at the last moment. No need to draw attention to myself just yet. Plenty of time for that later.

Instead I opted to observe the group as they conversed in a friendly manner for a few minutes. Then their conversation took a sour turn if the frowns on their faces were anything to go by. I then saw the element of loyalty point at me blatantly and instantly all of their eyes were on me.

I wiped all emotion from my features as I saw them start to approach me yet I did not move. For one if I moved they would more likely than not follow, and two I was honestly curious about what they had to say to me. After all it had been years since I last saw my former family as a whole.

Gleaming was the first to reach me and stopped not even a foot away as she glared into my eyes with anger. It was quite the funny sight as she had to stare up at me and try to look intimidating. Quite amusing really.

"Can I help you Ms. Shield?" I ask casually.

"You don't look how I remember you." Was Gleaming's reply as her eyes narrowed even further.

"How you remember me? Oh you mean the little colt who you always looked down on and belittled every chance you got along with your mother and father?" I answered neutrally while taking a sip of my wine and enjoying the look of guilt that briefly passed over her eyes. What she didn't know however was that I was using a bit of my magic to enhance those feelings since negative emotions actually feed my power and to not take advantage of this opportunity would be such a waste.

"Those are your parents to you know Setting Dawn." Spoke up Cadence as she finally interjected herself into the discussion as my former parents stood by her gazing at me sadly.

"I would ask you never to call me by that name again Princess Cadenza, and those ponies are not my parents. My name is Rising Dusk and as far as I'm concerned I have no parent's. Especially if your calling those two pitiful ponies my parents." I stated coldly making my former mother Twilight Velvet teary eyed. My former father Night Light though became angry and marched right up and slapped me across the face with his hoof.

"How dare you speak to us like that!? We are your parents! We raised and fed you and you will show the proper respect!" Night Light practically yelled out. This had the desired effect of drawing nearly everyone else's attention to us.

I barely kept the smile that wanted to show off of my face. It was just so easy to manipulate these fools! They are doing exactly what I want them to do. The first step in usurping a kingdom is to create distrust in the current ruler or rulers. And what better way to do that than to discredit the rulers family and their student?

Idly scratching where Night had hit me I speak casually, "now that is where you are wrong Night Light. Sure you and the hag over there may have done those things... for the first five years. Yet when Twilight was born I had to take care of myself. Gleaming was already training in the guard by that time and I was just beginning my apprenticeship under Celestia. Yet you not once acknowledged my existence as it was always either about Gleaming and her guard training or Twilight and her studying. Tell me old man what do you know about my apprenticeship under Celestia?"

He couldn't answer yet he still glared at me unflinchingly. I could practically taste the negativity in the room as the other ponies started to whisper and talk about what I had said. Already they were looking at the Sparkle's with hard gazes almost asking them outright if what I said was true. Their silence and lowered gazes was evidence enough yet I pressed forward going for the throat that would practically destroy not only the Sparkle's reputation but Celestia's as well.

"Oh but I guess that doesn't matter since Twilight was also made an apprentice to Celestia as well hm? You and Celestia would know since Twilight instantly became her favorite. Do remember the day I left? Of course you don't! You didn't give a damn about me for years so why start then huh!? You didn't even mind that I left as long as Twilight and Gleaming were making a name for themselves. Yet it wasn't you that entirely drove me away, oh no. The real backbreaker was when Celestia disowned me after I succeeded in a task not even she could complete! I was to complete Starswirl the Bearded's unfinished spell and I did it! Did I get a congratulations for my efforts? No! I had all my work destroyed in front of me and was cast out for outshining my sister. A pretty shitty reward for success I say."

Gasp's of surprise and disbelief rang out across the room as the tense atmosphere thickened surrounding me like a warm blanket and I loved every. Damn. Second. It was at that time though Celestia decided to make herself known and interject into the conversation. Her face remained neutral but I could sense the fear and anger she tried to hide. I was putting her in a hole that she now has to try and climb out of but I wasn't going to let her, no I was going to bury her alive.

"I assure you he did not succeed my little ponies. I disowned him because he went behind my back and created a potion that could have done more harm than good and I could not bear to have somepony with such reckless behavior as a student." She said soothing while casting me a look daring me to correct her. Oh bitch I do dare.

"Oh please princess. You and I both know you practically all but abandoned me just like those failures you call my parents once Twilight came into the picture. And you and I, as well as Twilight, all know that I succeeded. Don't believe me? The proof is right here!" With that I produced the vial of golden ichor that was the final product of Starswirl's last project.

Celestia recoiled in shock as all of the ponies around us stared on in surprise at the fact Celestia was just proven to be at fault. The simple fools probably never thought their princess capable of being so cruel to another pony but here the proof was staring them right in the face. Celestia probably thought I wouldn't have been able to make the potion once more due to the very rare ingredient's needed to make it yet she underestimated just how resourceful I was and now she was caught dead to rights.

"Well Celestia, what have you got to say now? You going to call me a liar and such? Oh but the Element of Honesty is right there and if she hasn't disproved my words yet then that must mean I've been telling the truth huh?" I stated as I tauntingly waved the vial back and forth in front of her before returning it to my person.

She didn't say another word as she along with the others turned and left the room as the gazes of the other nobles gazed at them distastefully and full of disappointment. I couldn't stop the smile that broke out on my face this time as I watched them all leave. My plan went perfectly!

Just the Chrysalis sidled up to my side and leaned against me. Normally I would push her off but was too happy to care at the moment and let her do as she pleased.

"Wow Dusk you really gave it to them. I can't wait to see what you do next." She purred into my ear.

"Oh Crhrysalis I don't have to do anything with the public for a while. I just defaced Celestia and the entire Sparkle family in plain view of Equestria's entire nobility. By the end of the week all of Equestria and even some of the other countries will know what has transpired here and will begin to question her rule. Now I must focus on other matters."

"Like what my King?" She asked curiously. Calling me King was something new but I did not question it as I would be a King soon enough anyway.

"I need a herbalist on my side. My mind control spells are good for short term but I need someone well versed in potions in order to heighten my spells effect and make it absolute. I may earn most of the populace's support once I take control but there will always be those select few that rebel and I'd rather have them under my control rather than kill them as it would prove such a waste and would make me look like the bad guy in the public's eyes." I said factually. I needed to not only plan my takeover but also how to maintain my control with as little conflict as possible.

Chrysalis seemed to ponder my question a moment before a devious smile overcame her features and her eyes flashed for a moment before returning to their normal state.

"I think I know just what your looking for my King."

After the public disgracing of my former family and Celestia I had sent Chrysalis to acquire the herbalist she had spoken about so I could meet them later. I may not trust the bug much in most matters but when it came to knowing ponies she was my go to. Whoever she had in mind was no doubt perfect for whatever I had planned. Hopefully they would be cooperative.

Meanwhile I had decided to explore the castle gardens to pass the time rather than talk with the noble's. They would be the first thing I get rid of once I take over. Sombra had the best idea in taking away the noble's position as they were nothing but a hindrance on progress and were supremely corrupt. Not to mention they were just so damn annoying!

'Glad someone finally agrees with me! Celestia is always preaching that all life has value crap while letting those higher class punks run amok and doing nothing to stop it!' Shouted Sombra making my head hurt a bit at how loud he was.

'Dad quiet down! You know I get a headache whenever you scream in my head! But your right about Celestia and about most nobles. Yet like everything else there is always the exception.' I replied making him hum in acceptance.

By this time I had reached the garden and headed towards the maze. On the first day of my apprenticeships to Celestia I had memorized every inch of this maze and knew it by heart. It was one of the only places that actually made me feel at piece.

As I walked through the maze in a sense of nostalgia I though nothing could ruin this moment. That was until I heard a brief scream that was quickly cut off. Having my peace ruined I headed towards the origin of the voice angrily but also curious as to what was going on.

Turning another corner I found a sight that disgusted me to no end. Celestia's nephew, and the bane of everyponies existence, Prince Blueblood had a mare pinned to a stone bench and was looming over her with lust in his eyes. The mare in question however was looking up at him in obvious fear. She was of average height with an aquamarine coat and her and tail were the same color save that her mane had a white streak in it. The mare also had bright golden eyes that matched her form fitting gold dress that was open on one side to show off her lyre cutie mark.

I saw that she was a unicorn due to the horn on her head and was wondering why she hadn't just blasted the fool off with magic already. Looking lower I saw the inhibitor ring on her horn and figured that was why. How the failure of a royal managed to get it on her and out here away from prying eyes without anyone else seeing I didn't know or care. What I did in fact care about was stopping what was about to happen.

Walking closer I started to hear the two talking.

"P-p-please don't." Whimpered the mare.

"Shut up peasant! You should be honored that I would even choose a commoner like you to be my mate for the night." Grolwed back Blueblood which only made the mare whimper more as she also began to cry a little bit.

I had heard enough.

Flaring my horn I wrap my magic round Blueblood's throat and lift him off of the mare making the scumbag choke in surprise. The prince tried to flare his own magic but I put a quick stop to that by encasing his horn in black crystal. Just one of the many things Sombra had taught me to do.

The mare for her part was surprised and was looking at me in shock and awe while I glared at the struggling prince in cold fury. He was everything I hate in the world, arrogant, self entitled, snobbish, and overall a disgusting being that shouldn't be allowed to live. The stallion was a mistake that I was going to correct right now consequences be damned!

"You know Blueblood I always found you a disgusting piece of shit ever since the day I first saw you. But this, well this just takes the cake. You would even go so far as to rape an innocent mare just because you thought you could? There is a special place in Tartarus for ponies like you. Though I won't bother telling you about it since you will be seeing it soon enough." I say coldly while keeping an eye on the mare who had now moved from the bench to stand by my side. I actually expected her to run off for help by now yet she didn't appear scared. If anything she was curious at what was going on. What an interesting mare.

"I d-d-demand that y-y-you release m-m-me right n-n-now!" Demanded Blueblood while struggling to breath.

This made me growl in anger. Even when he is near death the bastard still thinks he can order anyone around! I was going to kill him quickly at first but now I was going to take my time with this bastard and make him beg for death! A slight growl at my side made me remember that the mare Blueblood intended to defile was still here and I got an idea.

Turning towards the mare I start to speak in a neutral tone, "What is your name miss?"

"Lyra. Lyra Heartstrings." Answered the mare shyly.

"Lyra Heartstrings, a beautiful name." This made the mare blush a bit and also made me smile as I was having an effect on her. If I played this right I would soon have another follower.

"Now Lyra what do you think we should do with this bastard. Since you were the one he tried to violate I think you should decide his fate." I said casually and I took a little pleasure in both her surprised expression as well as Blueblood's expression of fear.

"W-well as much as I appreciate the gesture sir you cannot do what I want you to."

"I will be the judge of that mrs Heartstring's, now tell me what it is you want me to do to this filth."

She hesitated a moment as if pondering if she should tell me or not. Yet once her eyes settled on Blueblood once more her gaze turned to one of burning anger and she growled low in her throat. When she spoke venom was practically dripping from her words.

"I want him to suffer. It isn't enough he treats everypony else like trash but now he thinks he can just do whatever he pleases since he is related to the princess. What's worse is that she does next to nothing whenever he does something wrong! At the last Gala this bastard raped my friend Bon Bon and when she went to press charges Celestia swept it under the rug and he got off scott free! I had to come here with her this year just to make sure she didn't have a panic attack at the very sight of him. But look where I ended up. If it wasn't for you I would have wound up just like Bon Bon."

Wow. Now I thought my hatred of the princess and Blueblood was intense but this mare could seriously give me a run for my money. Well she told me what she wanted and who am I to deny her and her friend justice.

"Well my dear allow me to grant you your request." I said with a fanged smile while opening a portal below Blueblood. The stallion didn't even have time to scream as I dropped him into the portal.

As Lyra was about to ask me what happened to him I open a small viewing portal showing exactly where I had sent the bastard. What we both saw was the prince in a small pit looking around fearfully. For a second nothing seemed to be happening before a small scarab dug out of one of the pits sides. It clicked it's pincers at the prince and rushed at him only to be crushed by the stallions hoof out of fear.

Blueblood started to smile arrogantly before the dirt in the pit started to shift just before a swarm of scarab burst from the dirt to attack the prince. The pompous unicorn tried to use his magic only to realize my crystal's were still inhibiting him. He then tried to climb out the pit as scarabs swarmed over his legs and began eating their way inside his body.

The bastard managed to make it to the top of the pit before scarabs burst from his mouth and sent him falling back into the pit where his form was consumed by the hoard of insects. I let the scene runa few more moments before closing the portal and turning to look at Lyra. She wasn't in terror of what had just happened but rather she looked surprised that I had actually granted her request.

With a bow of my head I made to leave only to be stopped by Lyra's hoof.

"Wait. Why did you do this for me? If the princess finds out-"

"I don't care since she won't find out as long as you don't tell her mrs Heartstring's. But I must ask, do you still think of Celestia as a good ruler?"

"No I don't. She rarely does anything for common ponies and favors the nobles and the Elements of Harmony. That kind of bias is unacceptable in my eyes and others." She answered without hesitation.

"What if I were to tell you I plan to change that?" I spoke seriously while I gazed deep into her eyes.

"Plenty have tried before you buddy and they are either dead or in stone. What makes you so different?"

"Because unlike those before me I don't rely on my power to do the work for me. I plan ahead and wait for when my enemies are at their wekest before giving that killing blow so that wat they cannot stop me. So I ask again, what would you say if I plan to change the way Equestria is ruled?" I said while flaring a bit of my power to emphasize my words.

Lyra stood there for a moment to take in my words. I could see indecision running in her eyes before finally setting on burning determination. She then kneeld before me with her head bowed low before speaking in a submissive tone.

"Then I would say that I would be happy to help you if you would let me."

The smile that split across my face was downright demonic. I now had a new willing servant and I got to kill a major annoyance all in one. I guess dreams really do come true!

"You may rise Lyra. I am not a King just yet. Let us leave here and talk at my current dwelling where you can meet your peers. And don't worry about your friend as I will make sure she gets home alright."

As I finished I flared my magic and cast a spell that I personally made. My shadow began to rise from the ground until standing in front of Lyra and I was an exact replica of me down to the last detail.

"Lyra please tell my clone here what your friend looks like so thst he can bring her home."

Lyra told the clone what her friend looked like but was still in complete awe at the magic I had just used. Once the clone had received all of the information and walked away Lyra turns to me with a questioning gaze. I chuckled a little before answering her unasked question.

"That my dear was a spell of my own design. The spell makes aperfect clone of myself that can do anything I can but at a price since whatever damage it may take is reflected on myself and vice versa. Now let us be off." I say while holding out a hoof which she immediately takes. Like that we both disappear in a swirl of shadows.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lyra and I both reappeared in my homes basement much to the surprise of its two current inhabitants.
"What the buck Dusk you nearly gave me a heart attack! And who is she!?" Demanded Chrysalis who was now out of her disguise.
My glare quickly made her back down as Lyra gazed at the changeling queen in interest while my gaze was more focused on the one behind her. The mare was currently chained to the wall by her forehooves and was held off of the ground by about a foot in the air. She was a zebra and I had to admit she was pretty attractive. I had visited the zebra homelands in my travels and had to say that I appreciated their exotic beauty. It was very surprising to see one here in Equestria. She had a tribal mark on her flank that resembled a sun and wore the traditional gold jewelry worn by all of her kin and turquoise colored eyes. Her mane was in a mowahk style which wasn't really a common style among other zebra's. Yet it was how much jewelry she wore that surprised me.
I actually began to laugh which I knew got me weird looks from the others but I did not care. This was just too damn astonishing!
"Hahaha! I can't belive it! When I heard Chrysalis say she knew a herbalist I didn't expect it to be a zebra, much less a princess! Judging by your marking I would have to say you have to be a part of the Dawn tribe."
Her slight flinch at the tribe's name gave let me know I was right on the mark. Now it was time to see why she was here.
"Now why would a princess of her tribe be all the way out here instead of safe in her village hm? Were you by chance.... banished from your tribe?"
Another flinch. Two for two and still going strong. But this next question I hope for her to answer on her own.
"Now why exactly were you banished my dear and what prey tell is your name?" I asked as sincerely as I could.
She stared at me defiantly for a few moments as tears started to gather in the corners of her eyes. The pain I could see was nearly suffocating and I couldn't help but feel sorry for the mare. So in an act of rare kindness I gently wipe away a stray tear with a hoof and whisper soothingly, "You do not have to answer me if you do not want to but I would like to know your name at least if you would allow it."
"....Zecora.... my name is Zecora." Said the now named Zecora softly.
"Wait she didn't rhyme! Why didn't she rhyme?" Asked Chrysalis and Lyra at the same time. They both tuned to each-other and blushed in embarrassment before turning away from each-other. I didn't care as I kept my gaze solely on the zebra mare before me.
"Zebra's rhyme only when they are performing incantations or in song. Now quiet you two." I say without looking at them and shutting both of them up instantly.
I had heard of the zebra princess Zecora before on my travels but had never actually met her. According to her tribe she was to be married to another tribes prince but refused to go through with it. This lead to her being banished by her own father and being named a disgrace by most of her tribe and family. Truly a mare I could relate to.
Using my magic I released her from her shackle's and caught her as she fell. Looking in her eyes I cast a quick sleeping spell to put her out. I then carefully put her on my back and turn to look at the other two who were staring at me no doubt having many questions but not wanting to speak out of turn.
"I am going to bring Zecora home and talk to her privately. Meanwhile I want you two to get aqcuanted with each-other as you will more likely than not be working together in the near future. And no mind control Chrysalis or I will starve you of love for a month." I ordered before disappearing in another swirl of shadow's before the two could protest. I and the zebra mare had a lot to talk about.
Here I was standing in Zecora's hut as the zebra in question slept in her bed in the next room. Looking over all of the potions she has made so far I can't help but be impressed at what she was able to do with the raw materials provided from the Everfree. She had potions of every type imaginable and then some!
Still my mind drifted to other places. For one is what I had done with Blueblood. Now I didn't regret killing the bastard but his death just meant more problems for me since I know for a fact some ponies saw me going into the maze and would point me out to Celestia once she started questioning her nephew's disappearance. Sooner or later someone was going to come knocking at my door and I needed to think up a believable lie to get her off of my back. The only saving grace is that I didn't leave any evidence behind of what happened and had also gotten a new follower out of it.
How Mrs Heartstring's will be of use to me escape's me at the moment but I have learned that everypony has a useful talent and it's up to me to find out hers.
Just then I heard a groan and knew that my host was awake. Moving into the room I see the mare sit up on her fur bed and wipe her eye's with a hoof. Almost immediately she notice's me and our gazes lock. Her eye's were still red from tears but her gaze was completely even betraying no emotion. I was beginning to like this mare more and more.
"Zecora." I say politely with a bow of my head.
"Rising Dusk." She replied evenly but what surprised me was that she knew my name even though I never told her. That would require an explanation.
"I must say Zecora I'm quite intrigued that you knew my name without me telling you. Prey tell how that is?"
"Young Applebloom told me. She tells me many things."
"I see. Yet I would have surely thought one of the Element's would have told you about me at some point since last time I checked they were friends with everyone in town and even a few out of it." I say curiously.
"Yes they call themselves my friend's among many others but they rarely ever spend more time with us than is necessary. I have yet to have one of them come to me and not need my help with anything. Young Applebloom is the only one who comes just to visit and talk. It is sad really." She says with sadness at the end.
I really felt for her now. At first I thought I would have to use my magic to brainwash a herbalist to join my cause but now I saw an opportunity to get her to join me willingly much like Lyra. That is one of the things that make me better than Sombra as a ruler, I will rather try and have one join me willingly rather than force them. They are much more loyal that way and way less likely to stab you in the back during the long run.
"Ah yes and yet my sister likes to praise that she is the 'Princess of Friendship.' The title is a joke if you ask me. How can one call yourself your friend and ignore you nearly all of the time save for when they need your help for something? The answer for that is that they are using you Zecora. Don't try and tell me otherwise as you and I both know I am telling the truth." I say in a logical tone. Zecora for her part looked ready to protest but stopped herself to take in my words. Slowly I saw realization blossoming in her eyes and thought I had her. Her next statement dashed that thought.
"What you say may be true but that doesn't mean that I'll just join your little group to take over Equestria. I will not betray even false friends to a tyrant." She spoke with conviction. Looks like I would have to play a little hard ball with this one.
"Oh you have it all wrong my dear. I am no tyrant despite what you may believe. I don't want to enslave everypony, or cast the world into eternal chaos or night. No what I simply want is to make Equestria better than what it currently is."
"And how do you plan to do that? What can you do that Celestia and her sister cannot." She asked skeptically.
"It is not what they can't do but rather what they won't do. For one they let the nobility run amok and practically unchallenged. Their nephew Blueblood is a perfect example. Not a few hours ago I caught the worm trying to rape a mare and found out he had raped that mare's friend yet when she went to seek justice the bastard was let of scot free by Celestia herself. Now the bastard is dead by my hoof and if I have my way many more will soon follow. Also I won't hide away my problems as Celestia has done. No I will deal with the problem then and there and make sure it never comes up again. Celestia has run her country like a damn daycare with favoritism and without care and I am sick of it! Yet instead of sitting around waiting for thing to change that never will I intend to step up to the plate and take charge but to do that I need help and that's why I am asking you." I say truthfully.
I could see from her face that Zecora was shocked by my proclamation. She probably expected me to declare a bunch of shit on how I would be a 'fair and just ruler' or some other crap. Never did I ever want to be a fair ruler I just want to do right by those who have been wronged and make sure that Equestria has a leader that doesn't take shit and doesn't hesitate to do what needs to be done.
"You really hope to make a change to Equestria do you." It wasn't a question but a statement. I nodded in agreement and a small smile spread across her face. When she once again looked into my eyes I saw a fierce determination.
"If you truly wish to walk down this path then I will help you... but at a price."
"Name it Zecora and I'll see if it is in within my power to make true." I say with a smile of my own spreading across my face.
"I only wish for young Applebloom to not be harmed in anyway when you finally initiate your takeover."
Alright I nearly laughed at that request. Like I would ever hurt a filly!
"You have no need to worry about me hurting her or any foal. Yet if her siblings stand against me I cannot guarantee that they will not be harmed. They will live I promise you that but not without something to remember what defiance gets them. Now will you join me Zecora." I say while reaching out a hoof. She looks at it for a second before taking a hold sealing the deal. Now that I have a potion maker on my side I could move ahead with my plans.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It had been over a week since Zecora and Lyra joined my forces and things had gotten pretty intense. The announcement of Blueblood's appearance was seen as a great tragedy to Celestia and the noble's yet everypony else secretly was happy that the pompous unicorn was gone. Of course I was interrogated and made a suspect but I easily got out of it with a simple lie telling them last time I saw him he had insulted me and walked off to his room. With no one able to say otherwise there was nothing they could hold me for.

Now I was in the Crystal Empire at about midnight after giving Zecora a little side mission along with Lyra, looking for a very valuable object that would give me a major edge over Celestia when the time came. Cadence and Gleaming tried to keep what they found under wraps but nothing could remain hidden from my spies for very long. That and the fact that my dad had told me about sensing the object in question beforehand.

'Are you sure it is here dad? Wouldn't it make much more sense to keep the damn thing in Canterlot where they have those magic proof vault's?' I asked as I traveled from shadow to shadow in a cliché ninja disguise that hid all but my eyes which I had a spell over to make them a dull yellow.

'No only the Crystal Heart's power could contain it so they had no choice but to keep it here. If I had to guess though it has to be near the princess and her consort so try near their room and work your way out.' Suggested Sombra.

Heeding his advice I step into the nearest shadow only to reappear underneath the bed of the for mentioned rulers of the Crystal Empire. For the moment that is. I may actually have Chrysalis run this place once I take over since that way her and her changeling's would never have to worry about starving with the Crystal Heart being an all you can eat buffet that never runs out.

Luckily for me the two were already fast asleep so I easily slipped out from under their bed without a sound. I took a moment to look over the sleeping couple as the cuddled each-other subconsciously nearly making me sick from the sight. Not the affection part but just because the mere sight of these fools made me sick. I will so enjoy the looks on their faces once I take over Equestria and take the Empire from them.

Ignoring them for the moment I look around the room for anything that could lead me to what I was after. After a few minutes of searching I found nothing and was about to blow a gasket from frustration. How hard was it to find one damn thing that radiates dark magic!?

'Wait son! Do you sense that? Over by the bookshelf.'

Wondering what he was talking about I walk over to said bookshelf and almost immediately I can feel the overwhelming amount of dark magic radiating from behind the bookshelf. This was what I had been looking for. Had to admit they had it pretty well shielded to the point you had to be practically right next to it to sense it but really, behind a bookshelf? Real original morons.

I didn't bother trying to look for a switch and instead pulled a page from Sombra's book of tricks and turned myself into a living shadow that passed through the bookshelf and behind it. Once I reformed a was immersed in dark magic. Now I'm more powerful than Sombra overall yet when it came to pure dark magic power Sombra had me beat. Soon though that would change.

Cause not ten feet away atop a crystal pedestal floated the horn of King Sombra. I calmly walked up to the pedestal and scanned the area for any traps or alerts but found none. Apparently they were so confident in how they hid it they didn't bother adding some security. Pathetic. Without hesitation I grasped the horn in my magic and brought it forward smiling under my mask all the while.

"Now time to do what I came here to do." I say to myself before reaching into my robes and pulling out the Alicorn Amulet. Zecora was nice enough to give it to me after she joined me yet I never even thought of using it until now. Why you may ask? Because the damn thing is cursed to make the wearer mad with power and that is the last thing I need for my plans. Yet It could serve another purpose. By using it as a median I could transfer all of the dark magic power from the horn to myself which would at least triple my current magical power and making me at least twice as strong as Celestia.

Putting on the amulet I already feel the cursed artifact trying to take hold of my mind and quickly begin the spell I had practiced with Sombra. A black haze then began to travel from the horn into the amulet which I could feel going into me. Naturally it was extremely difficult to cast the spell while also trying to prevent the amulet from taking hold of my mind. Yet I managed it and in a few minutes time the process was completed.

Once it was done the horn that once housed the dark power of the mad king turned grey and turned to dust. As for the amulet it rusted and began to form cracks before finally breaking apart and falling to the floor with a clatter. I for the most part could barely contain the power that threatened to burst from my being. Sombra was telling me to relax and let the power flow so listening to him I let go and almost immediately the strain disappeared.

The power flowed naturally through my being but almost as soon as I became accustomed to the new increase in magical strength a great pain erupts from my back nearly making me cry out. Instead I fall to my knees and clench my teeth wondering what the hell was going on with me. I then hear a tearing sound and feel something burst from my back and just like that the pain disappears as if it was never there.

"What the hell was that?" I gasp out trying to regain my breath from the immense pain I had just gone through.

Looking at me back my jaw nearly hits the floor at what I see. Two huge wings had grown from my back yet these were not the typical feathered wings of a Pegasus or even the bat like wings of the bat ponies. No these were something entirely different as they looked to be made of shadow while still holding the shape of a pair of wings and I could feel that they were still connected to my back.

"But ... how is this possible!?" I said in disbelief as I flapped my new wings a few times to test them out and found them as easy to move as walking. This is gonna make staying under the radar a lot harder than usual.

'Hmmm. I think I may know what happened. I created the Alicorn Amulet from Celestia's blood and my own dark magic hence it's name. It seems though that when you used it to siphon the power from my horn into yourself you also took the power of the Alicorn Amulet along with the blood used to make it. Yet it was long corrupted by my dark magic therefore giving you the unusual wings you now possess. Congratulations son as you are now the first Alicorn created, and now the embodiment of true dark magic.' Exclaimed Sombra with pride in his voice and making me happy that I could make my father proud. Looks like I wouldn't be needing that potion after all!

With my work done I quickly pick up the remains of the Alicorn Amulet and teleport myself back to my home in a swirl of shadow's. When I appeared in my living room I noticed that it didn't tire me out in the least bit meaning my magical fortitude was immense and making me even more proud of my work and that it worked.

Just then Chrysalis, Lyra and Zecora stepped into the room, with Zecora carrying a small box on her back, and balked at the sight of me with my new wings. If I had a camera I would have had blackmail material for years to come!

"W-w-what!? B-b-b-but h-how, you, w-wings?" Stuttered Chrysalis in disbelief making me chuckle at the normally mouthy mare suddenly at a loss for words.

"A tale for another time Chrysalis. Now Zecora I assume you have what I asked for?" I say before turning to the zebra mare who nodded and stepped forward.

"Of course my King. Just as you had thought there were still some remnant's left even after all of this time. Celestia sure was a fool to just leave this there without any protection whatsoever." She said before giving me the box that I grabbed with my magic before opening. Looking inside it I give a fang filled grin before taking out the box's contents and holding it up for all to see.

"Very good Zecora. With this we will soon have another ally added to our folds. One that I am sure is dying to see Luna once more." I say while looking at a piece of blue armor about the size of my hoof and bearing a crescent moon insignia. All of the pieces were coming together nicely.

Chapter 9 (otherwise the damn chapter you've all been wanting me to make!)

3rd Person POV

Celestia sighed once more as she sat in her throne reading various reports from the investigation on her nephews disappearance. She may not wholly approve of Blueblood's actions yet he was family and she felt she needed to help him in anyway she could. Even with all his various crimes she couldn't find it in her to punish the arrogant prince.

Looking over another report saying the guards hit a dead end she thought back on the one pony that could have had something to do with Blueblood's disappearance. In fact she knew exactly who was to blame. Setting Dawn, or as he goes by now, Rising Dusk. Just thinking of the stallion who was once a colt she taught filled her with anger and grief but most of all, guilt. For she knew that what he had become was all her fault.

The solar princess was broken from her musing when the throne rooms doors opened to permit in her sister and the Element's along with Twilight's parent, Gleaming and Cadence. All of them looked downcast but Twilight also had this look of curiosity to her that for some reason made Celestia nervous.

"How goes the search for our, 'nephew' sister?" Asked Luna though her tone suggested she didn't really care for the stallion. It was true that she didn't consider him family and was actually glad he was gone though she would never say that out loud for it may be taken as her reverting back to her evil counterpart and may result in another 1,000 years on the moon.

"Nothing yet sister but I'm sure something will come up eventually. Now why are all of you here? It can't be just to check up on the status of finding Blueblood?" Asked Celestia curiously since she knew very few cared for her nephew.

Night Light then stepped forward nervously casting a glance at Twilight before looking up to her.

"I'm sorry Princess but Twilight has been asking questions and you are the only one fit to answer her." He said with a bow of his head already knowing he had messed up. A simple slip of the tongue and now everything they had hid from Twilight was going to be revealed whether they like it or not.

"Oh and what questions may you have for me my faithful student?" Asked Celestia to Twilight with her motherly smile after casting a a quick glare to Night Light.

"What did my father mean when he said you 'stunted my brother's growth?'" Said Twilight seriously. After the encounter with Rising Dusk she had heard her father mumbling about something and heard him say that particular phrase. She tried to ask him what he meant but said Celestia was the one to ask and that is why they were all here.

Celestia for her part was very uncomfortable and everyone could see the smile on her face was now forced but even then it was developing into a frown. She could have tried to lie but then Applejack would have ratted her out, and telling partial truth's would not satisfy Twilight and she would dig deeper into the matter for her thirst for knowledge would not let her rest until she had a sufficient answer.

So with a sigh of resignation she decided to tell the whole truth. She only hoped the lavender mare could forgive her afterwards.

"Yes Twilight it is true that I stunted you brother growth immensely, but not without reason!" She added at the end hearing and seeing the shocked expressions on the faces of those present save for Twilight's parents, Gleaming and Cadence who looked stoic for the most part.

"B-but why would you do that!? You were his teacher! Why would you want to stunt him!?" Demanded Twilight as she couldn't believe her teacher would do something so unlike her.

"Because he was a threat Twilight." Said Celestia coldly with a large frown now marring her face.

Twilight was quiet for a moment before she frowned herself and returned her teachers gaze with her own.

"Explain."

Looking conflicted for a moment Celestia finally lets out a sigh of defeat and looks down at the floor as she was unable to look her student in the eye knowing what her gaze would most likely become once she told her the reasoning for her actions.

"When I first saw your brother when he was four I saw that he held an immense amount of magical power much like yourself. So naturally I took him on as my student. At first it was amazing, he had so much potential! He took in knowledge like a sponge and was even able to improve upon pre-existing spells making them better than ever. A true prodigy rarely seen. I was happy to have such an amazing student, that was until I found out his true talent." Said Celestia nostalgically at first before running off into a saddened tone.

"What do you mean his true talent? In fact what is his talent?" Asked Twilight as she was wondering what could her brothers talent be as he had never told her before. Also if he was such a great student why did she try to hold him back from reaching his true potential. By the way Celestia spoke of him Twilight was sure that her teacher thought very highly of her brother.

"His talent.... was dark magic." Said Celestia without emotion as she saw the shock on the faces of those across the room who didn't already know beforehand.

"L-like Sombra?" Asked Twilight hesitantly. From what she remembered of her brother he was nothing like Sombra. Though at the moment there were definitely a few similarities yet she refused to think that her brother would ever become that monster. So she was relieved when Celestia shook her head in a negative.

"Not exactly Twilight. While Sombra gained his power through unorthodox means you brother's use of dark magic was all natural and therefore wouldn't corrupt his mind as what happened to Sombra. Yet the possibility of him becoming that tyrant was still present. I found out his talent for dark magic by complete accident when he unintentionally used a shadow spell with ease. I knew then and there with his potential and use of dark magic he could become even worse then King Sombra. So I decided to take precautions to ensure that didn't happen." Spoke Celestia in complete monotone. Yet she grimaced once she saw the angry look on Twilight's face as well as the disappointed look her sister was giving her.

"So you decided to hinder him instead of support him like a teacher should do? Now how do my parents and apparently my brother and former foal-sitter know of this?" Asked Twilight as she tried to keep her anger in check. She wanted to believe that he mentor was trying to do the right thing with her brother but she couldn't help but think that maybe Celestai was the reason for why her brother was the way he was now. He didn't even go by his birth name anymore!

"Cause she told us Twily." Said Gleaming speaking up for the first time and drawing the attention away from Celestia and unto herself.

"Yes dear you see Celestia told us the threat Setting Dawn, I mean Rising Dusk may present in the future and thought it best to tell us of her intentions. Naturally we agreed and supported her. Yet after that we could never look at him the same way as we could not believe such a threat could be our son." Spoke Night Light with his wife, Cadence and Gleaming nodding. This answer only served to make Twilight even angrier so Celestia stepped in to try and alleviate the situation.

"But then I saw you Twilight! Your potential was on par with your brother only your talent was for light magic, not dark. So I took you on as a student as well knowing that you could in the worst case scenario be a deterrent should your brother ever become the monster Sombra had become. It went well at first as I focused teaching you instead of him and thought his progress would slow. Yet when he showed that he had completed what I was planning to be your final test I knew that no matter what I did he would get stronger even if he had to on his own. Therefore I disowned him as my student hoping that the complete loss of the knowledge I possessed would stop his progress cold. However it seems it did little if any to slow him down given how powerful he has now become." Said Celestia with a little pride in her voice when speaking of Twilight only to turn sour at the end. She looked up hoping to see a look of understanding from Twilight only to be heartbroken when she saw nothing but a look of complete disgust and disbelief on her students face which was mirrored by the other elements as well as her own sister.

"So let me get this straight," began Twilight slowly but with anger clearly evident in her voice, "you saw my brother as evil just cause he had a talent in dark magic, told my parents and foal-sitter who then began to neglect him due to the new knowledge, took me on just so you could use me to fight my brother if the time ever came while also leaving him to fend for himself, and then cast him out when he started to learn on his own!? Well news flash Celestia the only reason he completed that final test was to gain your attention! I know because I saw the nights when he worked endlessly on it speaking of how it would 'let you see he was a good student as well.' And now because of you and those ponies I can't believe are my parents I've lost my brother!" Screamed Twilight in near tears as she galloped out of the room.

All of the other element's stayed just long enough to cast some hateful glares before leaving. Applejack shook her head in disappointment before she walked off to find Twilight. Rarity huffed while holding her nose up high, Rainbow Dash made a rude gesture before flying off, Pinkie had her hair straight and blew a mean raspberry and Fluttershy gave a brief look of 'the Stare' before going off with the others.

Only Luna was left and she had the most disappointed look on her face as she gazed at her sister as the solar princess tried to fight back tears that were threatening to spill. Yet when Luna spoke she could not hold them back anymore.

"She is right sister what thou did was truly a despicable act. Instead of preventing another monster from being made you may have in fact turned an innocent colt into the very thing you feared he could become. And thou called Nightmare Moon heartless." She said sadly while she turned and walked away but not before casting a hard glare at the rest of the Sparkle family and her 'niece' as she walked by.

Celestia for her part was quietly crying knowing her sister was right. Whatever evil that may or may not come from Rising Dusk was her fault. She made him this way just as she drove Luna to become Nightmare Moon with her neglect. Quickly enough though she wiped away her tears and looked at the remaining ponies who still looked unaffected by what was spoken but it could easily be seen they were to saddened by what had been said.

"Aunty, what do we do about Dusk now? I don't think we can count on Twilight and her friends helping us at the moment." Said Cadence while chocking a little when she said Twilight's name. Truly seeing Twilight so hurt and angry especially at her was a real emotional blow.

*sigh*" I'm afraid we must remove him before he becomes a threat. I have already hired some ponies to deal with him. If all goes according to plan there will be one less threat to Equestria. I only hope Twilight can forgive me in time." She spoke sadly but with conviction.

"You and us both Princess." Said Gleaming with the others nodding in agreement.

Yet none of them realized the maid standing by the still open throne room doors who had heard everything. Her eyes turned completely blue for a second before she began to walk off.

"I must inform King Dusk of this at once." She said before flicking out her forked orange tongue for a moment as she made her way towards her current quarters to get a message out to her King.

"Is this report accurate?" I asked Chrysalis as I read over the most recent report from one of my spies in the palace.

It had been a few days since my surprise 'ascension' and in all of that time I had spent getting a better control of my new powers. It was truly incredible what I could now do since becoming the first dark Alicorn in existence. I have actually had to put an illusion spell on myself in order to hide my wings whenever I go out. Yet it seems my time of peace has come to an end due to what I had just recently learned.

"Yes it is. Seems Celestia wants you gone sooner rather than later." She said with her eyes flashing a toxic green for a moment.

Yes it seems that Celestia had hired some assassins to kill me. I actually was a bit flattered since from the report it wasn't just one assassin but a group of the worlds supposedly best assassins. Apparently she saw me as that big of a threat and I would enjoy putting these assassins to the test.

"Hm. So who are the assassin's she sent after me and when should I be expecting him?" I asked Chrysalis. Almost instantly another file was in front of me that I took from her with my magic. Opening it up I actually whistled in surprise, Celestia really wasn't taking any chances now was she? I then began to read aloud my supposed 'assassins.'

"Let's see here, we've got Bloodbeak a male Griffin known for the killing of several noble griffon families, Thunderhorn a male minotaur who's bloodlust is unrivaled, Dark Embrace a unicorn mare who is suspected of being a vampony but never proven, and last but not least Savage a dragoness who lives for the thrill of the kill. If I was a lesser stallion I would actually be quite scared right now. Too bad for these poor fools I'm not some pushover. When should I be expecting my guests?"

"By nightfall Dusk. Celestia wants you gone as soon as possible so she can probably make up some ridiculous story about your untimely death. Shall I prepare my children for their arrival?" Asked Chrysalis.

I thought about it for a moment and was about to tell Chrysalis to do just that but stopped for a minute. This would be a good opportunity to test his powers against professional killers! If anything he could probably get some of them on his side. Yet that vampony would be perfect for his plan to revive Nightmare moon. Whether she agreed or not was irrelevant.

"No Chrysalis in fact I want the opposite. Let them come here. Is the catacombs I asked your hive to build done?" I ask as a grin splits my face.

"Uh yes? I still don't know why you wanted it to be built though aside for a place for my changelings to live and hide."

"Trust me Chrysalis everything will be fine. By morning we will either have some new additions to our ranks or there will be four less killers in the world. Either way I win." I say letting out a small laugh as I couldn't wait to see my new punching bags.

Nightime, Dusk's home

I waited in the shadows of my room gazing out the window waiting for my assassin's to come. I had sent all of my allies away leaving me the sole occupant of my home. They tried to protest that they could help me but I was adamant and they went to Zecora's hut to wait this out. Though I was touched by their loyalty to me and would be sure to reward them for their services.

Just then I saw the four coming up the road to my home. Using a bit of magic I enhanced my sight and hearing to get a better look at them and how they act.

The griffon Bloodbeak was about as large as Big Mac but not as muscular, he had dark grey feathers on his head and wings while his feline body was stark white. His discerning feature was the red patch on his beak from which his name probably came from. He had yellow eyes and wore no kind of gear but on his talons I could see metal claws that gleamed with a type of liquid I only assumed was poison.

Next was the minotaur Thunderhorn. He was as tall as Celestia with his black horns adding another foot to his height. His bottom half was covered in ragged brown fur while his top half was covered in dark crimson with blue splotches here and there. Eyes were a dark green and he seemed to be wearing a steel studded leather top with a large Warhammer strapped to his back.

Then came the unicorn mare Dark Embrace. She was of average height and had smoldering red eyes and had pitch black fur with her mane being a bright silver. I could see no cutie mark due to her black dress that looked more at home in a funeral than on such an admittedly pretty mare. She didn't seem to posses any weapons and that only meant she relied on her magic to kill her targets.

Lastly there was Savage the dragoness. She was fairly small compared to most dragons I have seen as she only came up to Luna's height. Her eyes were a bright sky blue and her scales a fiery orange with white spikes on her head, back and tail. Her wings were tucked to her sides so I couldn't see how large they were. She walked on all fours so she possessed no armor or weapons I could see though being a dragon you are practically a walking weapon.

"So the target is just a unicorn that may or may not be able to use dark magic? Seems like easy money to me!" Boasted Bloodbeak with a laugh.

"I don't care who or what he is as long as he screams when I turn him into a smear on the ground with my hammer." Snorted Thunderhorn.

"Both of you are idiots and will die if you underestimate him. Celestia obviously thinks he is worth it if she hired all of us instead of just one of us." Said Dark Embrace while flicking her mane and not even sparing the two a glance.

"Oh shut up the lot of you! I don't care about the money as long as I am the one to make the kill, so just stay out of my way and you'll have a better chance to live past tonight." Growled Savage as she pulled ahead of the others.

They were a few yards away from my front door and I thought it high time to get the show underway. Slipping into my shadow form I travel to the downstairs and stayed on the ceiling. Soon enough the door opened and Savage was the first to enter sniffing around and flicking her forked tongue probably trying to capture my scent. Just like I had hoped.

A few moments later the rest of them showed up and spread out around my living room. Bloodbeak and Thunderhorn were about to move upstairs when Saavage growled at them drawing their attention to her.

"He's not upstairs. The scent leads downstairs into the basement. And you call yourselves assassins when you can't even sense where your prey is." She said mockingly before walking down the stairs into my basement with Dark following soon after.

Bloodbeak then turned to Thunderhorn and said angrily, "she's kind of a bitch ain't she?"

"Yeah. I say we kill her after we kill our target. I know I would like a new head on my wall." Said Thunderhorn with a laugh which was quickly mirrored by Bloodbeak as the two followed Dark and Savage down the stairs.

I frowned at the stupidity of these two and the arrogance of the others before travelling down as well and almost laughed at the surprised expressions on their faces once they saw the large hole in the wall leading to the catacombs. Eventually though they broke free from their shock before they began to travel through the tunnels cautiously. At least they weren't completely stupid.

As I followed them I started to wonder how many ways I could kill them just out of boredom. That was until we came to the intersection. Now I was curious how they would divide since it was obvious that that's what they would do at this point. They then began to argue for a few minutes which I tuned out before finally coming to a decision.

Savage and Thunderhorn would go left and Bloodbeak and Dark would go right. Now time for me to choose who I would go after first. The two heavy hitters or the poison bird and vampony. Oh such a hard choice. In the end though I decided to go after the vampony since securing her was a top priority and came before dealing with the others.

I followed them down the tunnels as they made some random turns here and there before they stepped off the path towards the pod room where the ponies that had been taken were held. If I allowed them to see them then it would prove hazardous to my spy network should one of them escape. So I waited another minute or two before revealing myself standing a few feet behind them.

"Well hello there my guests. I was wondering when you would arrive." I say in mild amusement as I watch the two assassins spin on me with talons and fangs bared.

"Well looks like we found our prey. That was easier than I thought it would be." Said Bloodbeak with an arrogant smirk only making me like him less. Yet I only laughed since I also found his arrogance amusing to a degree and to also unnerve the duo.

"Why are laughing? You should already know your about to die?" Asked Dark suspiciously.

"Oh you know just the fact that you fools think you actually stand a chance to kill me. Especially bent beak and the guy whose hammer is clearly compensating for something. By the way Bloodbeak how is your wife? You know the one that left you cause you kept shooting blanks?" I said smugly and angering Bloodbeak if the murderous look in his eyes is anything to go by

Letting out a roar of rage Bloodbeak flew at me with his talons outstretched ready to claw me to bits. I waited till the last second before leaning my head slightly to the side letting him fly right by me. Flaring my magic I construct a lasso out of shadows and wrap it around his neck making him stop in mid air when it constricted. Then with just a thought I send the fool flying into the side of the tunnel and hear the sickening crack of one of his wings breaking.

Turning my attention to the vampony I see she had closed the distance and was now staring me in the eyes. I could feel her using magic to try and hypnotize me and scoffed at the attempt. After destroying her spell I slap her with my hoof sending her to the ground. She held her reddened cheek in shock and pain.

"Did you think your hypnotism would effect me? If that is all you can do then you are a disgrace to your race and your creator." I say coldly and can see the rage burning in her eyes.

She then leaped at me from the ground with her fangs bared to take a bite out of me. I use my magic and stop her in mid air. Before she could use her own magic to try and break out I cast a quick sleep spell knocking her out cold. As I dropped her body I quickly lean back before Bloodbeak's talons can take out my face but he still manages to scratch me across the cheek and I feel the slight burn from the poison.

Landing from his attack the griffon turns to me with a smirk of triumph before he begins laughing.

"Hahaha! You got cocky you bastard and now my poison is gonna put you down for good! 'Major threat' my ass." He laughed out as I felt my rage grow.

This bastard actually hurt me and thinks that a simple poison will kill me!? This fool is going to learn his place the hard way!

I wrap the griffon in my magic to the point it's nearly crushing him instantly stopping his laughter. His look of arrogance is now replaced with one of complete fear. His fear only feeds my magic making me smile. Before the bastard can mutter a single word I then begin to randomly slam him into the tunnels wall and ceiling repeatedly.

He screamed and begged after the fourth or so slam but I continued my assault for a few more minutes before I finally stopped and brought Bloodbeak closer to look him in the eye. His form was a mangled blob of broken bones and flesh as he bled from various wounds. His beak was cracked and a part of his skull looked caved in, his wings were bent at such odd angles that a single twitch could no doubt cause extreme pain. Still with all of this the griffon was still alive if barely.

"M-m-mercy." Gasped Bloodbeak through a cough of blood.

Leaning in close I look him right in the eyes before a dark smile spreads across my face. Then in a quite whisper I say, "I have none."

I then condense my magic on his form crushing him. He starts to scream in agony as I slowly start to crush his form into a ball. During this Dark Embrace had broken from my spell which was mildly impressive. Yet she was frozen in place as she watched me crush Bloodbeak into a ball about the size of a medicine ball. At that point I released my magic and watched his mangled corpse fall to the ground with a sickening plop.

Standing over Dark I saw her once arrogant gaze turn to one of horror and at the same time hunger as she looked at the blood spreading from the griffons mangled form. Looking down at her I dared her with my eyes to try and run or attack me. When she didn't move I knew she wasn't going to do anything as she now realized just who she was dealing with.

"So Dark Embrace now you have seen what I can do to those that anger me on a whim. That isn't even a fraction of what I am capable of and if you want to live you will help me with what I have planned." I say.

"And why should I help you? How do I know you won't kill me like you did the bird once you get what you want?" She responded. She tried to make herself sound confident but I could hear the terror in her tone as she spoke to me.

"Cause what I aim to do is beneficial to both of us. I will get a loyal ally and you and your kind can have your mother and queen back." I say honestly and take a bit of satisfaction in seeing her eyes widen in surprise. For a minute she just opened and closed her mouth trying to form words while I waited for her to speak.

"W-what do you mean?" She asked nervously but with a bit of hope in her voice.

"Oh you don't think I know how your kind was created. Nightmare Moon created your race from the ponies that used to be Luna's children of the night. What most don't know however is that Luna and Nightmare are two separate beings that just happened to share the same body making Nightmare your true creator and rightful ruler. Yet after her banishment your kind went into hiding since Celestia tried to eradicate your kind. Now I have an object that contains Nightmare's power but without a from to tie it to she cannot return. That's where you come in my little vampony." I say to her as if I was speaking to a foal and making her frown. But then my statement caught up to her and she looked at me in shock.

"What!? You can bring back Nightmare? But why do you need me?"

"Because in order to make her a body to call her own I need some of her blood. And since you vamponies were made from her blood you are the only one that can help me bring her back. So I have an offer for you, you help me and I swear that you kind will no longer have to live in fear and will be welcomed with open hooves into Equestria." I say holding out my hoof towards her. She looked ready to accept my offer but asked one more question that I was more than happy to answer.

"What about Celestia?"

"By the time I'm done with Celestia she will be so broken that the mere idea of opposing me will send her into despair. Make no mistake I will take over Equestria and Celestia will be nothing more than another mare that will rot away in the dungeons until I find a use for her. I will not kill her though since I want her to forever remember that she failed as a ruler and a teacher and that she can't just wipe her problems under a rug and expect someone else to clean up her mess. So will you join me Dark Embrace?"

She just looked at me for a few moments. When she moved she didn't take my hoof and instead bowed before me and said submissively, "I will help you bring back Nightmare Moon and overthrow Celestia as long as my kind can walk free again."

Lifting her head up with a hoof I give her one of my rare kind smiles before using my magic to lift her to her hooves. Objective one was down and now my means to revive Nightmare was assured while also getting rid of a damned bird. Now there were just two more to deal with and I hope they proved more of a challenge than the bird and vampony.

After assuring that Dark Embrace was on my side I had to create a small medallion out of my magic for her. This is to ensure that when I sent her to the others they wouldn't outright attack her. The medallion was in the form of a black crystal heart with a red fire in the center. When I took over this would be the new symbol of Equestria that would signify a love for the country but also the harshness that would be inflicted upon those who threaten it.

After giving her the medallion I teleported her to Zecora's hut where she would remain until I called her and the others back to my home. The next few minutes were spent with me using my magic to burn away the poison that Bloodbeak had gotten me with. It was a good thing to as if left unattended for too long that poison would have had my heart beating to the point it exploded.

Looking over the bloody mess that was once Bloodbeak I tried to think of what to do with it. There wasn't much that I could do with a mangled corpse so I just teleported the remains to the same pit I had sent Blueblood and let the scarabs take care of him. I would let the changelings clean up the blood once they returned.

Now it was on to the minotaur and the dragoness. These two would no doubt be more entertaining then Dark and Bloodbeak due to them being such bloodthirsty killers by reputation. Shifting into my shadow form once more I start to travel through the catacombs towards where I last saw the two assassins.

Eventually I found them in my throne room as it were where the two of them were looking over my throne skeptically.

"Well this guy seems like an arrogant little shit to me. I mean he has his very own throne as if he was some type of ruler? HA! As if that puny pony could rule over anything dark magic or no!" Exclaimed Thunderhorn.

Savage meanwhile was sniffing at the throne and looked a bit interested if her curious gaze was anything to go by. When she went to look behind the throne though she jumped back with a surprised growl and I couldn't help but smile at what she had most likely found. Thunderhorn meanwhile was confused by her reaction and looked behind the throne as well.

"What's wrong with you lizard? It's just a bunch of skulls?" He asked scratching the back of his head making Savage turn an agry glare at him while baring her teeth.

"Those aren't just any skulls you fool! Those are dragon skulls. This bastard has slain my kind before and that only makes him more dangerous. Anyone who can kill a dragon is not one to be trifled with." Growled Savage. It was at this point I decided to make my presence known.

"Well thank you for acknowledging my power Savage. Sadly not many realize just how dangerous I am like your friend Bloodbeak found out a short while ago." I say evenly while I took solid form.

Both assassin's turned towards me with Thunderhorn lifting his hammer and Savage growling at me with rage burning in her eyes.

"I will make you suffer for killing my kin. The fact that a mere unicorn like you managed to kill them is an insult to all of my kind. And we do not take insults lightly." Growled Savage but I waved it off.

"Oh please spare me the draconic pride speech. In truth they brought it upon themselves. I was just minding my own business walking through the dragon lands when some little shit drake started to insult me. I think his name was Garble? Either way I killed him and when he died the rest of his clan came trying to kill me for 'justice'. Naturally I had to kill them as well. The same pride your kind holds in high regard so much is also your biggest weakness." I say casually while examining my hoof but noticing the room heat up a bit more due to the dragonesses anger.

"Enough of this waste of time! I don't care about your talk and just want to kill you and collect my money from Celestia!" Yelled Thunderhorn in frustration before taking a small round object out of his pouch and throwing it onto the ground.

I tense for a moment only for the orb to make a small flash like that for a camera and nothing else. What the hell would that accomplish? I was beginning to think that maybe I had overestimated these assassin's.

Thunderhorn then released a war cry as he charged me while I just stood there waiting for his approach wondering if this guy was as stupid as he looked. Just as the minotaur was close enough I started to get ready to cast a spell only for my magic to just stop! I was so stunned by this new development that I couldn't react as Thunderhorn's hammer impacted my side and sending me flying across the room and into the wall. I fell to the ground with a little blood dripping from my lip and knowing that my ribs were bruised but thankfully not broken, seemed that being an Alicorn made you tough as shit.

Standing up I shake the cobwebs from my head and glare at the smirking bull as he just stood there. Savage for her part was actually grinning at my pain and was more likely than not waiting for her own turn to cause me some pain.

"Surprised pony? That little trinket was given to me by Celestia herself just for you. Basically it temporarily nullifies your ability to channel magic making helpless against us. Without their magic you unicorns are completely helpless!" Thunderhorn exclaimed triumphantly.

I just stared at him for a good minute before I started to chuckle. That chuckle soon turned into a full blown bought of laughter that made Sombra so proud as I could hear him crying proud tears in my mind. This went on for a good five minutes before I finally stopped laughing to gaze at the two remaining assassins and saw them visibly shift uncomfortably under my gaze.

"Oh this is too rich! I have to admit that Celestia certainly had a good idea in neutralizing my magic if only temporarily just to give you a chance to kill me. But she made a critical mistake in this plan. While most unicorns would be helpless due to them relying on magic so much I am not as reliant as you would think asshole. I've trained my body and my mind just for the day I would fight Celestia and if you think a little lack of magic will stop me then you and her are truly fools." I say through my fanged grin. Even I had to admit this was certainly getting interesting and couldn't wait to really get into the fight that was no doubt about to come.

Thunderhorn snorted steam from his nostril's as he charged me once more with hammer but this time I was ready. He came down with an overhead strike which I sidestepped letting the hammer hit the ground with a loud impact. Jumping up I punch the bull in the face making him stagger a bit before I grab onto one of his arms bringing a hoof to bear in a chopping motion right onto his elbow making the appendage bend backwards and a complete ninety degree angle. I didn't even give him time to scream in pain before I bucked him in the gut hard enough to send him flaying across the room. Strangely enough he still held his hammer in his still working arm as his broken one dangled at his side.

I couldn't savor the moment for long though as I was tackled from the side by Savage who had now decided to make her move. The two of us rolled on the ground with both of us trying to gain the upper hand. I punched with all of my new earth pony strength gained from being an Alicorn as the dragoness in turn clawed at any part of me she could reach leaving me with a few bleeding cuts across my chest and back. Eventually though I managed to gain the advantage after delivering a particularly hard punch to Savage's muzzle and dazing her a bit.

I stood over her with both of us bearing our teeth at each other. I had to roll away though as Thunderhorn had recovered and was now trying to hit me with his hammer with his only working arm. I easily avoided his attack's though due to his slow swings now that he couldn't use his weapon with both hands as usual.

After he over swung on one of his strikes I leaped into action as I swept his hooves from under him sending him onto his back. I quickly grabbed his only good arm and brought it into an arm bar. He tried to break free but I put a stop to that once I applied pressure. I kept applying more and more pressure until a sickening crack was heard along with Thunderhorn's screams letting me know that I had now broken his other arm leaving him basically helpless.

Rolling away from the beaten bull and onto my hooves I see Savage charging me once more. It was at this point I felt my magic return and was thankful as I didn't know how long I would have been able to hold out against the enraged dragoness. Flaring my magic The shadows in the room lash out turning into chains that restrain the draconic assassin. She tried to struggle but after a few minutes of failed attempts she finally lost her energy and slumped down in defeat.

Looking up at me she growls in anger before saying in disgust that is most likely aimed at herself, "what are you waiting for? Just kill me and be done with it!"

I return her gaze impassively for a moment before a smile worms its way onto my face. These two were truly interesting, both were exceptional warriors in their own right and didn't back down from a challenge. Even now these two weren't afraid of the death he could deliver unto them at anytime I wished.

"Now that would be a waste wouldn't it?"

Her once angry gaze turned to one of confusion as she waited for me to explain. Looking back I see Thunderhorn is intrigued by my actions as well and was waiting for what I would say next.

"I mean, you two were much more impressive than the other two who were here to kill me and I find it a waste of both of your talents as nothing more than hired killers. So I have a an offer for the two of you that should you accept will grant you great rewards. If you agree to serve me loyally and without question I will give you both power and respect as well as a high ranking position once I take over Equestria." I say casually as I move to sit in my throne while I awaited on how the two would answer.

Savage looked me in the eyes intensely as if searching for any signs of deceit while Thunderhorn just lay in his spot laughing his ass off. Turning towards him I wondered what he found so funny? Soon enough he managed to answer as his laughing died down.

"You arrogant little shit! As if I would serve a weakling like you! You may have broken my arms but you've also hurt my reputation. Once I'm healed I will make sure to kill you and mount your pelt on my wall. You only prove how weak you are by letting me live and actually having a choice! You ruling Equestria is the biggest joke I've ever heard!" He yelled out before laughing his ass of once more.

I let him laugh for another for moments before flaring my magic and saying out loud in a cold tone of voice, "wrong answer."

My aura wrapped around his head and he stopped laughing momentarily in confusion only for his eyes to go completely white before he started to scream in complete agony. I was assaulting his mind continuously with his worst fears while also torturing his mind. This spell was pretty new so this was one of the first times I had used it on someone other than a test dummy.

I kept up the assault for a few minutes before stopping once Thunderhorn stopped screaming. His form was still and even though he was still alive in body the same couldn't be said for his mind. His eyes were now rolled into the back of his head and he was foaming at the mouth. I had destroyed his mind and left him brain dead.

Looking over to Savage I see her looking at Thunderhorn with both surprise and what I thought was a bit of approval. She then turned to look at me and her face became a blank slate showing nothing of what she may be thinking.

"And what may your answer be Savage?"

"What do you think?" She responded tonelessly.

"I think you'll say yes." I say with a bit of smugness. Almost instantly anger breaks out on the dragonesses features once more.

"Why the hell would I agree to join you!?" She roared out but I simply brushed it off before walking up to her so we were looking at each other eye to eye with only a few inches separating us.

"Because you respect me." I answer simply.

"W-what!? But I don-" She began but I cut her off.

"Don't try and deny it Savage for I know how your kind thinks. True you value your pride a lot but what you hold even higher than your pride... is power. You've seen how powerful I am and your instincts are screaming at you to listen to me in the hope you can gain that power as well. Plus I know about you personally." I say casually as I walk around her still restrained form as I use my magic to idly start healing my wounds.

"You don't know anything about me." Savage growled out lowly enough that I just barely heard her.

"Oh but there is where you are wrong Savage. You see I have spies everywhere. One just so happens to have access to a certain file of your life story."

"Oh yeah? Like what?" Challenged Savage obviously not believing a word I said. How it was so fun when others call my bluff!

"Like how your name isn't really Savage. Amber Wing. Also the fact that you were the runt of the litter for not being able to breath fire like other dragons and ended up killing your entire clan just to prove your strength as a dragon. Face it Amber, you crave power, power only I can give you and all you have to do is give up your pride to me. Do that and I assure you no one will ever see you as weak again." I whisper into where her ears would be. I saw as her body tensed more and more with each statement I threw at her and knew her will was breaking. But a little more incentive never hurt anyone right?

"Plus your position will be as my personal guard so you will answer to no one but myself along with the promise of power. Here's is just a taste of what I can give you." I say before letting a little bit of my magic flow into Savage. Her eyes narrow into slits before with a roar she broke the chains I had made to hold her.

I quickly took the power back as she calmed down. Her head snapped to me at the loss of strength I had given her. I saw her internal struggle as she tried to decide between keeping her pride and most likely dying or submitting to me and becoming more powerful than she could have though possible. Eventually power won out and she knelt before me making me smile at another powerful ally added to my fold. If anything she would make an excellent bodyguard as well as a good representative whenever I would have to deal with the dragon clans.

"Stand Savage. You don't need to bow before me as I hate formalities. But since you have accepted my offer it is only fair I hold up my end." I say with a malicious grin as my magic flares before rushing toward a wary Savage. In moments she was surrounded by a shroud of my magic completely obscuring her from view. Moment's after this happened she began to scream in pain as my power flooded her form. The process lasted a whole five minutes but with the way Savage had been screaming you would have thought it had been years.

When the ritual was done I stopped my flow of magic and let the shroud that covered the female drake dissipate revealing a changed dragoness. She hadn't grown any but her appearance was much sleeker and toned, her once orange scales and dulled to a fiery red. Her horns and spikes had brightened considerably to gleam like silver. Her eyes though now emitted the same purple haze mine did making her look truly fearsome.

"Welcome to the family Savage, now let us go meet your peers and then we can get to work on recruiting our next ally." I say as I gesture her to follow me out of the throne room while ignoring the brain dead body of Thunderhorn. I would just have some changelings dispose of him later.

"Who will be our next ally my lord?" Asked Savage as she followed behind me obediently. I couldn't help the smirk that spread across my face when she called me lord. Unknown to the dragoness that as I was giving her more power I also changed a few things in her psych just to make sure she stayed loyal to me for s long as she lived. Without turning back I answer her question with one of my own.

"Tell me Savage, what do you know of Nightmare Moon?"

Chapter 11

"Damnit all!" I yell in frustration while chucking another crumpled piece of parchment into the ever growing pile of them in my study.

It had been three days since my encounter with the assassin's Celestia had sent after me and I currently found myself at a roadblock in my plans. That roadblock being the Element's and how to take them out of the picture without having to kill them. Despite them being a threat to me and my plans I also acknowledge that they are a major part of defending Equestria that cannot be replaced.

No matter what I came up with though there was always some sort of flaw that could be exploited and for my plan to work there cannot be any loose ends or else Celestia would capitalize on it.

Then there was the matter of setting up the ritual to revive Nightmare Moon. I had all the pieces but still the timing wasn't right. In order to revive Nightmare Moon at her full power I needed to wait for the Winter Solstice which would be coming next month. That was the time Luna's powers would be at their greatest and would also help in masking Nightmare's revival.

Still didn't change the fact that my problem with planning a way to thwart the Element's was driving me up the wall to the point I'm ready to burn down my own home in rage.

Suddenly I heard knocking at my study's door and wondered who that could be. Taking a glance at the clock on the wall I see it was roughly eleven at night meaning I had been at this for nearly seventeen hours straight and still was having no success. I'm actually surprised I haven't just up and passed out at this point but I figure it comes with being a new type of Alicorn. Sombra has said that being the first of my kind meant I could have powers and abilities unheard of so I would have to keep a special eye out for anything out of the ordinary.

"Come in." I say tiredly while plopping my flank on the ground.

The door opened to reveal Zecora who upon seeing my fatigued state looked at me worriedly. Closing the door behind her she made her way over to me stepping on the various pieces of crumpled paper that were my previous, and disregarded, ideas. I wondered what she was doing here as last time I checked she left with Lyra and Bonbon to check out a potential spy recruit in Cloudsdale. Thankfully Lyra knew the cloud walking spell.

"Dusk what have you been doing in here all this time? The others are beginning to get worried and seeing you like this I can see they had every right to be." Said the Zebra mare in a disapproving tone that demanded I answer truthfully.

"What I've been trying to do is find a way to make sure Twilight and her friends don't interfere in my plans that doesn't involve killing them. As you can see I haven't been having much luck." I say while holding a book in my magic before in a fit of anger chuck it to the other side of the room.

I was then startled when I felt Zecora rest her hooves on my shoulders and my muscles tensed up. When she began to gently knead my tense muscles I felt myself start to relax as the soreness in my muscles I didn't even know was there was slowly falling away and calming me from my previously angered state.

"Ooooh Zecora that feels amazing." I drawled out in a relaxed tone. Damn was she good with her hooves!

This continued for a few more minutes until Zecora did something that really surprised me and licked the side of my neck. I would have jumped away but she had a firm hold of me as she began to alternate between licking and nuzzling me.

"Zecora! What the hay are you doing?!" I demanded as I felt her hooves move from my shoulders down to start caressing my body sending a shiver of excitement down my spine.

"Helping you relax my King. You really shouldn't be pushing yourself so much or else you'll just burn out when your needed most. So just sit back and let me relieve you my king." She said seductively and I felt a calming aura wash over me with each word she spoke and let her hooves continue to roam across my form.

I was so relaxed I unintentionally released the illusion spell that hid my wings giving Zecora yet another part of me to caress. Yet when I caught her moving out of the corner of my eye I lazily turn my head to see her looking at me over my shoulder and couldn't help smiling at her which she happily returned. Then I saw it. Her usual turquoise colored eyes flashed a toxic green for a split second. It was so fast I nearly missed it but I knew what I had seen had been no trick of the eye.

Instantly my relaxed mood disappeared and in its place was pure anger. Quicker than she could even blink I had 'Zecora pinned to the floor with my form towering over her with my wings spread. The imposter for her part was now both scared and very nervous as she should be if it was who I thought it was.

"Dusk what are you-"

"Stow it Chrysalis I know it is you!"

Now the mare looked downright terrified as green fire enveloped her form. When it finally cleared beneath me now lay the Changeling Queen in all her cowering glory.

"Please Dusk I was only-"

"Only what!?" I interrupted harshly, "trying to seduce me so you can take my throne!? If I didn't need your sorry hide around to control the changeling swarm I would have done away with your sorry hide a long time ago. Now what do you have to say for yourself!" I all but roared at her. But instead of cowering even more than before like I had expected her to she instead gained an angered look on her face along with the beginnings of a light green blush

"Okay I admit I was trying to seduce you but not for the reasons your thinking of! Even if I wanted to I could never take your throne as my children barely acknowledge me as their Queen anymore and rather just see me as your 'assistant.' You've proven to be a better leader than I could ever be and they see it to." Admitted the monarch a little sadly while I was a bit surprised she would admit something like that as I didn't think her pride would let her but she surprised me.

"Then why did you try to seduce me as Zecora if not for your own personal gain?" I asked a little skeptically.

Now her blush intensified to the point nearly her whole face was glowing a light shade of green and I somehow found it cute. Yeah I can't believe I find a blushing changeling queen cute.

"Because I chose you" She mumbled too quietly for even my enhanced hearing to catch.

"What was that? Speak up."

"Because I chose you okay!" She finally managed to yell out as a few tears slid down her face as she looked away leaving me stunned.

I tried to process what she meant by choosing me but was coming up blank at every turn. Now I was far from being an expert on changeling customs and traditions but that doesn't mean I was completely ignorant to all of them. But right now I needed Chrysalis to elaborate a bit on what she said before I do anything else.

"What do you mean 'you chose me?'"

Chrysalis then started to look everywhere but at me. I constantly tried moving my face in front of hers but she would quickly turn away and not answer my question after I repeated it a few times. This childish game continued for a few more minutes before it started to try my patience and I decided to put an end to it. So using my magic I grab her head and turn it so she staring me right in the eyes with barely an inch of space between us.

"Tell. Me. NOW." I growled out each word as I waited for her answer

After a few more minutes of struggling she finally relented that there wasn't anyway she was gonna get out of this and decided to answer.

"I chose you as my life mate my King. This is not just a personal choice of mine but also for political reasons. When a changeling Queen, such as myself, is beaten and her hive conquered she is given two options, considering if the one who conquered them allows them to live. Either they can go into self exile and attempt to build another hive which usually always ends up with the former queen dying, or they try and take on the conqueror as a mate in order to still have some semblance of control over the hive and this will also help the new leader when they eventually meet the other hive queens. Though this is all up to the conqueror and what they want." She explained carefully and I could see the reasoning behind it. But then a thought struck me on what would happen if a changeling hive was conquered by another hive and how did I manage to conquer her hive with no bloodshed?

"Okay that explains the whole 'choosing me' thing but now I have another question, two actually. What happens if one changeling hive is conquered by another hive, and how did I 'conquer' your hive?"

At this point Chrysalis had stopped with her crying and after seeing that I was still on top of her in politely asked for me to let her up before she answered which I agreed to and moved back so now we were sitting before each-other rather than me creeping over top of her.

"Well to answer your first question is that its impossible for one hive to conquer another due to the fact that our mother would prevent it from happening."

"You make it sound as if all Changeling Queen's are related?" I asked curiously.

"Because we are. There are after all only five Changeling Queens in all of the world not including our mother who is more like a Goddess just like Celestia and Luna's mother is."

"Noted now as for my second question?"

"Well your way of conquering my hive may not have been conventional, or even intentional but it was effective. You simply asserted dominance and proved to be a very competent leader compared to myself who lead a failed invasion. Basically they just came to trust you more than me and I was steadily just pushed out of power. It even took me a while to realize what had happened!" Answered Chrysalis with a bit of disbelief in her voice.

While I was a bit surprised at this turn of events I couldn't blame her for trying to seduce me as she was trying to ensure I didn't cast her out to die. Plus I had grown used to having her around. Sure she may be annoying and a bit perverted at times but all things considered she was my go to if I wanted a job done as she had yet to fail me. But how could I be sure I could trust her?

'Go for it son.'Said my father who had been strangely quiet for these past few days.

'Father? Why should I accept her? Sure what she says makes sense but to accept her as a mate is a bit extreme and I know for a fact I do not love her.' I said trying to get my father to see things from my perspective.

'You may not love her son but you and I both know you care for her. It may not be love now but it has the potential to become love. Plus you and I both know that you've always wanted a family which you can have with her as even I know she is being sincere and will not betray you. Do not ignore your feelings like I did. Doing such turned me into the most hated ruler in history and cost me the mare I loved. I may not be an expert on relationships son but even I can see that you two would make a great couple. Plus if you play your cards right she may not be the only lover you take on.' Sombra finished a little pervertedly at the end but I had gotten his point. If I went through with this I risk everything, on the other hand it may end up as one of the greatest decisions I've ever made.

Looking back into Chrysalis' toxic green eyes I finally make my decision. Standing up I start to walk towards her with a blank expression on my face. She apparently took this as a bad sign as she started to shuffle backwards as her wings buzzed nervously. I continued forward though completely focused on my task until her back eventually hits the wall and she stays there looking at me with large scared eyes.

A few seconds later I now stood over the frightened changeling Queen. I began to lean down towards her and she closed her eyes tight waiting for what I would do to her. I was happy to show her as I pressed my lips to hers in a gentle kiss. The contact of fur and chiton made Chrysalis' eyes snap open to meet mine and her body to visibly relax.

Seeing her start to calm down at the gentle lip-lock I decided to take it up a bit as I wrapped my hooves around her to pull her in close as my tongue danced across her lips asking for entrance to which she gave instantly. As my larger tongue began to battle with her slimmer forked tongue a felt her moan through the kiss as her eyes closed in bliss and her hooves wrapped around me. She managed to win the toungue battle and began to explore my mouth being sure to feel every single one of my sharpened teeth before letting me explore her mouth and trace her own set of fangs.

Our lip lock lasted I don't know how long until we needed to break apart for air with a little bit of drool connecting us. As we caught our breath Chrysalis looked down and her jaw dropped as well as a blush crept up on her cheeks, which I found kind of adorable but also was curious about what was interesting.

When I asked her she just continued to look down and as I followed her gaze I realized why she was staring. Apparently during our kiss a friend of mine decided to make himself known. I was kind of surprised myself but not about the fact that my junk had revealed itself but rather the fact that it had changed since the last time I had gotten a hard on.

First of all my shaft was both longer and thicker than I ever remember it being nearly coming up to two feet in length and almost four inches thick. If that wasn't enough my balls had become the size of apples. At this point I was in just as much awe as Chrysalis at my new equipment as while I was no slouch in that department before it seems becoming an Alicorn increased performance in all aspects.

Looking up at Chrysalis' still awed expression I let a smug smile spread across my face as I spoke to her teasingly, "like what you see Chrissy?"

"Yes." She answered in a daze.

Leaning in close I whisper in her ear sultrily, "well for tonight its all yours... my Queen." I finish my statement with a lick to her ear and that seems to set her off as she tackles me to the ground with her on top and gazing down at me hungrily. I knew where this was going and I would be lying if I didn't say I was excited.

Leaning down Chrysalis gave me a brief peck on the lips before she began to kiss a trail from my jawline all the way down my chest occasionally nipping me with her fangs or giving little licks here and there all the while I gave pleased groans at the pleasant sensations. She was very good at this!

Eventually she reached her main objective and I stared down at her as she gripped my shaft with one of her hooves and began to slowly slide it up and down while her other hoof started to fondle my engorged balls. A pleasurable groan escaped from my lips as her hooves worked their magic. Her chitonous hide was very smooth and deceptively soft with a natural bit of lubricant that I had learned was a type of goo that was used in their building and could even be used as a weapon should they need it. Apparently it also made a great lubricant.

"So big and hard for little old me? Oh you shouldn't of." Said Chrysalis sultrily as she brought her face to my balls to give them a teasing lick.

"Sweet Faust Chrissy your such a tease." I groaned out in pleasure.

Her response was a wink as she continued to stroke my shaft and fondle my balls with expert precision. With this kind of pleasure I eventually began to release pre cum which Chrysalis immediately took notice of and wasted no time in going up to my tip and licking up a dollop. She rolled her tongue in her mouth with her eyes closed as if she was savoring it. Then suddenly her eyes snapped open and she did the unexpected and took my whole shaft in her mouth and down her throat in one go!

White hot pleasure shot from my shaft up through my spine and it took everything I had not to blow right then and there. Even before I had gotten the size increase I never met a mare that was able to take my shaft all in one go like Chrysalis just did and it was making me more and more grateful that I accepted her offer.

I don't know how much time had passed since I was too busy enjoying Chrysalis' work on my cock that time had no meaning for me at that moment. Though I did begin to notice that the hoof that she had been using to fondle my balls was strangely absent and when I looked down to see what had happened to it I saw that the changeling Queen was using it to rub her drooling flower as she continued to suck me off. This seemed unfair to me that I was getting the most pleasure out of this and decided to change that. Fair was fair right?

Using my magic I lifted her back end up which got a startled yelp from her that was muffled by my member still being down her throat. I then gently turned her to where her hindquarters were now over my face and I was nearly overwhelmed by her pheromones which clouded my mind with lust even more so than before. Reaching up with my hooves I began to knead her big yet firm ass cheeks getting a pleasured moan from her as it traveled down my cock.

Reaching a little lower I use my hooves to spread her soaked lips revealing the jade green colored flesh within dripping a continuous stream of juices. Being curious I lean up and give a small lick and am immediately hit by the sweet taste that exploded on my tongue. An instant later I dove face first into her flower desperately trying to get more of that sweet flavor. Chrysalis tried to match my vigor but was having little success. Instead I saw her horn light up with magic and felt an amazing sensation on my balls giving me a pretty good idea on what she was using her magic for.

Not about to be outdone a devious idea comes to mind and I flare my own magic only instead of just stimulating her with it I cast a small spell on my tongue and instantly feel the effects as my tongue grows longer and starts to vibrate. A little spell I learned from a gipsy in Saddle Arabia after helping him and his family settle a debt and now I found a perfect use for it.

Chrysalis immediately felt the effects as she hesitated in her sucking on my cock and her magic faltered as she tried to concentrate from the unexpected pleasure suddenly thrown on her. When she finally did get enough control to continue though she attacked my member and balls with such an intensity that it momentarily caught me off guard. So in response I attacked her snatch with just as much vigor as well as giving a few slap to her flanks which she seemed to enjoy.

Soon enough we were both reaching our peaks and got more intense in our actions until finally we both climaxed with me finishing barely half a second after her. Her sweet fluids rushed out in such intensity that I had trouble drinking it all but I still managed to do so. Chrissyon the other hand basically impaled herself on my cock to make sure she didn't miss a drop and I could see a bulge forming from the sheer amount I was pumping into her gullet. When we had finally finished our mutual orgasms I stopped my magic and returned my tongue to its normal size as I pulled away to lick up the remaining juices from my face while Chrissy pulled her head slowly off of my rod stopping to suck on the tip just to make sure she got every last drop before releasing the head with a wet *pop*.

Turning around Chrysalis looked down at me breathing heavily but with a happy smile on her face.

"Well *huff* *huff* that was *huff* *huff* amazing." She said between pants. I managed to recover quicker though and looking down I saw I was still hard.

Smirking up at her I said, "well we ain't done yet Chrissy."

Raising a brow at me she turns her head and sees my still hard member and a large smile breaks out across her face as she leans down and nuzzles my cheek.

"Oh we've only been together for a few hours and your already spoiling me!"

Lifting her self up she uses her wings to fly up while using her magic to aim my dick right at her pussy lips. She teases me a little by rubbing her lips against the tip but when she finally does decide to get on with it she hover over my proud spire for a moment and surprises me yet again as her wings stop buzzing and she drops straight down, impaling herself on me.

"Holy fuck!" I exclaim in pleasure as I feel her tight velvety walls engulf my dick. Chrissy for her part had her head thrown back in a silent scream.

Looking down at where we were connected a saw a bulge outlining my member and I could feel myself pushing against the back of her womb. We didn't move for a minute or two so as to let Chrysalis adjust to my size. When she finally came to she looked down at me with her eyes glazed over in lust before lifting herself up about halfway off my cock before dropping back down again increasing her pace with each bounce.

"Oh Faust your so big! I've never felt so full before~" She cried in ecstasy.

I let her continue to bounce on my member for a few more minutes until I felt something rising up inside of me. It felt primal and I was starting to think about how I should be the one on top. That I should be dominating her and claiming her as my own so that no other can have her.

Eventually the urge became too much and in a rush of speed I found myself standing over a very surprised changeling Queen. Leaning down I growl into her ear and notice that my voice had taken a slightly demonic tone to it but didn't stop to question it.

"Now it's time I take charge."

With those words I began to plow into her savagely as she screamed out in ecstasy while throwing her hooves over my neck and hanging on like her life depended on it.

Eventually though I had grown bored with this position and lifted her up just to turn her around and put her on the ground belly first while losing none of my momentum. Chrysalis at this point was a drooling mess with her tongue hanging out and drooling everywhere. Feeling a bit more daring I lift one of my hoofs and bring it down hard on her right ass cheek right where a ponies cutie mark would be making her cry out in both pain and pleasure.

"Oh yes harder~!" She cried out and I happily obliged as I began to slap her ass while alternating between her right and left ass cheeks.

I was in absolute heaven and I was pretty sure Chrysalis was in the same boat judging by her current appearance. Yet all good things must come to an end and I could feel my release building as I had gotten Chrissy to cum four times already. As such my pace increased and my thrusts became harder and more erratic.

"Chrissy I'm gunna cum!" I warned her while trying to hold back my inevitable finish.

"Inside! Nowhere else!" Exclaimed Chrissy as she used what little strength she had left in her body to try and thrust back against me probably to try and make sure I don't pull out but after hearing her say that it would be impossible for anyone to pull me out at that point.

After a few more thrusts I finally hilt myself in my changeling lover and cum directly in her womb while I simultaneously lash out and bite down on where her neck meets her shoulder feeling my sharpened teeth puncturing her hide enough to draw a bit of blood making her cry out even more. I don't know why I did what I did but it just felt right.

When I finally finished I released my teeth from Chrissy and pulled back a bit and saw something very strange. It was my cutie mark right where I bit her. I don't know why it was there or how it even got there but for some strange reason I felt a bit of pride in it. Pulling away a wet 'schlick' accompanies my now softening member as it exits Chrysalis' flower and letting a stream of my spunk to leak out. It was also here that I got a good look at her and I felt my pride jump up a great deal as I saw her bloated stomach making her look like she's ready to give birth at any moment and her shaking back legs which collapse as soon as I stepped back.

The changeling Queen herself had passed out with a content smile on her face which brought a happy smile to my own face. Using a quick spell I clean us both up and my study before teleporting us to my bedroom. The room itself was decently sized and nothing too extravagant with a small bookshelf on the right and a desk on the left with the bed in the middle. Said bed consisted of midnight black sheets with my cutie mark stitched into them while my pillows were adorned with fiery orange pillow cases.

Lifting the covers I gently lay Chrysalis under them and step in myself. Before I can put the covers over us I find myself pulled by Chrissy so that her hooves are entangled with mine and her head on my chest. Smiling down at my new lover I plant a small kiss on her head and begin to drift off to sleep. Huh, guess she really did get me to relax after all.

Chapter 12

I was having a peaceful sleep for once. No dreams or nightmares to be seen, nothing but encompassing blackness that was as comforting as it was vast. That was until someone started knocking on my damn door. At first I tried to ignore the pounding of hoof on wood but eventually it became too much and I began to wake.

Opening my eyes I saw I was still cuddled up to Chrysalis and was reminded on what had transpired the night before. I frowned at the memories not because I found them unpleasant or regretful but rather on what happens now? I can no longer simply call her an ally but I can't really call her my fillyfriend either.

Then I remembered what Sombra had told me the night before about growing to love her. I guess I could at least give it a try just to see where it goes.

The repeated knocking once more gained my attention as to why I had woken up to begin with. With a bit of effort I managed to pry myself from Chrysalis' grip and make my way to my bedroom door. Upon opening the door I was greeted by one of the changeling drones looking up at me nervously as I glared down on them.

"What is it." I growled wondering what could be so important that a drone needed to wake me.

"S-s-sire the Element of Magic is at the front door and will not leave. We thought it best for you to answer it rather than expose ourselves." Said the Changeling with a twinge of fear in his voice.

My face became a blank mask once I registered what the drone had just told me. Twilight was here? Why? Hadn't I made it obvious enough the last time she was here that I wanted nothing to do with her or that pathetic babble of morons she called family?

Usually my general dislike of the Sparkle's in general would of had me telling the drone to get rid of her and leave me alone, but curiosity had taken hold. She must be here for some purpose so why not find out what it is. It may actually help me out in the long run any way's.

"Fine I'll deal with her now go back to your duties." I ordered and with a bow the changeling drone flew off down the hall and out of sight.

Taking one last look at Chrysalis I smile and head out of my room making sure to close the door as quietly as possible on my way out. Within the next few minutes I had arrived at the front door to my home. Taking a deep breath I move to open the door but stop once I notice my wings are still visible and quickly cast an illusion spell to hide them before opening the front door to greet my guest.

"What do you want Spar-" but I stopped mid sentence when I saw the state the mare was in.

She looked like she had just gotten into a fight with a manticore and lost horribly. Her mane and fur was frazzled and disheveled, sticking out in odd ways and places. Her wings hanging limp at her sides and practically dragging along the ground. But what got me most were her eyes. The usual bright purple full of intelligence and life were now dull and red from crying while showing nothing but betrayal, sadness and regret. Yet once she saw me I saw a spark of hope in her eyes for a moment before the mare launched herself at me!

I was taken by complete surprise at what I perceived to be some kind of attack on my person yet before I could attempt to break her embrace and throw her off I froze as I felt Twilights tears start to soak my chest and her muttering over and over again, 'I'm sorry.'

For the next minute or so I didn't know what to do or what the hell was going on. All I know was that Twilight was upset and needed comforting. The brotherly affection for her that I had thought gone long ago came surging back with vengeance and against my better judgment I returned Twilight's embrace while sitting up so the smaller mare was now cradled in my lap.

I whispered words of comfort into her ear which only made her cry harder if that was possible. Just what had happened that she would come cry to me of all ponies? Ever since I had returned I had only ever shown her disgust and anger yet here she was crying as if some great tragedy had occurred.

The next half hour blew by as I continued to comfort Twilight to the best of my ability and let her cry into my chest soaking my fur but I didn't care. Eventually the waterworks stopped and Twilight just sat there in my lap giving small hiccups every now and then. Now that she had calmed down though it was time for me to get some answers.

Gently as I could I pulled Twilight away and looked down at her but she refused to meet my gaze. With a hoof I turned her head to face me and look into her eyes.

"Twily what's wrong?" I asked kindly even using her little nickname I had given her back when she was a little filly. Before Gleaming had started using it and acting like she was the one to come up with it.

"I-I-I k-know n-n-now." Was all she said but that only made me more confused. What did she know now? How did it relate to me?

"Twily your gonna have to be more specific than that. Now take your time and tell me what you know okay? I promise I won't be angry with you no matter what you may say." I told her kindle as I wiped a few stray tears from her face getting a small smile from her. Made me wonder why I was ever mad at her in the first place.

After my little gesture of kindness Twilight gathered up the courage and told me what she had recently learned from the very lips of her family and Celestia herself. The news shocked even me as not even I was aware of Celestia's true intentions regarding me but it only strengthened my resolve to see that mare removed from power as well as everyone that supports her.

What really got me though was the fact that Twilight told off her mentor in his defense. Even after all he had done and said to her she still saw him as her big brother who was always there for her and that made him both happy and angered. Happy that she still cared for him so much but angered at himself for being such a heartless bastard to someone who never deserved it. It was a mistake he swore to correct, starting right now.

Pulling Twilight into another hug I say just loud enough for her to hear, "I'm so sorry Twilight. I used to hate you so much for taking all of the attention when we were younger while it turns out we were both being used by ponies we thought we could trust. I was a fool to believe my sister ever wanted to hurt me in any way and I hope you can one day forgive your stupid big brother for what he has done to you."

"No I'm sorry for ever taking you for granted and following Celestia's words blindly. I helped push you to run away just like them. I'm the one who should be asking for forgiveness." She said returning the hug.

"How about we just forgive both of our stupidity and make up." I say with little humor in my tone that gets Twilight to laugh a little but agree.

Twilight then passes out on me probably exhausted from the emotional roller coaster that she had ridden on for who knows how long. Still it feels good to have my sister back, but I cannot tell her my plans or involve her in them. My plans may just push her back into Celestia's damned hooves and I will be damned if I let that mare use my sister once more like she has been doing our entire lives.

I gently lay Twilight on the couch and summon a small blanket over her so she can rest. While I did this I heard the soft clacking of hooves as the owner stopped right behind me. Turning around I am confronted by the curious eyes of Chrysalis, Lyra, Zecora and Bon Bon.

"Uh not to be rude but what is she doing here?" Questioned Lyra as she pointed a hoof at the still sleeping Twilight.

I then went on to explain what Twilight had told me drawing looks of disbelief and disgust from the mares as we all drank some tea that Zecora had made halfway through my little explanation.

"How could she do that!? Not even I would be so deceitful as to manipulate foals like that!" Declared Chrysalis.

"Somehow I'm not surprised. She let that bastard Blueblood run amok and they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Said Lyra with a shake of her head.

"All the more reason to remove her from power I say. It's obvious now that she can't be trusted." Stated Zecora before taking another sip of her tea.

"Now on another note.... so how was he Chrysalis." Asked Bon Bon with a devious grin making me spit take as she had asked that just as I was taking a drink from my cup.

Chrysalis for her part blushed but had a large smile on her face. Oh please don't tell me she is actually gonna answer her!?

"The best rut of my life. And coming from me that means something." Answered Chrysalis proudly making all the other mares blush and giggle while I slammed my head onto the table being careful to avoid impaling my horn into it.

Thankfully before the conversation could get any weirder for me Twilight began to stir by letting out a groan grabbing the others attention. Almost instantly all of them ran from the room with speeds that would make Rainbow Dash green with envy. At least they all knew that I didn't want to tell Twilight anything just yet.

Walking over to Twilight I sit by her side and wait for her to completely wake up. She slowly opened her eyes rubbing them a bit and giving a cute yawn reminding me of the times I put her to bed when she was a foal. Before that conniving bitch Cadence came and started to pull her away from me.

"Spike?" Asked Twilight as she looked in my direction with her sleepy gaze.

"Try again Twily." I said jokingly.

Upon hearing my voice Twilight's eyes shot wide open, all traces of sleepiness gone in an instant.

"Dusk!?"

"In the flesh little sister."

She froze for a moment and I worried I had said the wrong thing. Before I could ask her what was wrong she said almost to herself, "it wasn't a dream?"

"Was what a dream?" I asked with a raised brow making her look back at me with a hopeful yet nervous gaze.

"That I told you about what Celestia had done to you, to us. That she tried to use me against you just because your talent was for dark magic instead of light like me. Please tell me it wasn't a dream." She pleaded making me smile kindly at her.

"It wasn't a dream Twily. I know everything now and I don't blame you for it. In fact I'm happy that you came and told me this and I am very sorry for blaming you for something that wasn't your fault. Celestia manipulated us both but now that we know she no longer has any power over us." I say with a smile that Twilight quickly returns.

"Thanks big brother. But what happens now?"

"Now? I say you go home and get some more rest. You definitely need it after all you just apparently learned. Afterwards I don't know. Maybe we can go out and catch up like siblings really should." I suggest making Twilight squeal as she begins hopping around the room going, 'yes! Yes! Yes!' over and over again like she did when she first got her cutie mark as a filly.

Once she realized what she was doing though she quickly stopped and laughed nervously while her face made an impressive impression of a tomato.

"Um yeah, hehe. Well... I'llseeyoulatebye!" She said rapidly before giving me a quick hug and kiss on the cheek and then running out the door leaving a dust trail in her wake.

I stood there for a minute wondering what the hell just happened but when I caught my bearing I smiled and calmly shut my door before I started howling in laughter. But it wasn't evil, mocking or obnoxious laughter, but just regular happy laughter. And why wouldn't I be happy? I got my sister back, and Celestia lost her most prized student. A win-win situation for me and two more strikes against Celestia. If this kept up Celestia will be in a dungeon before I even make an attempt to take over!

Chapter 13

"How goes the preparations for Nightmare Moons revival?" I ask Dark Embrace as she walked beside me through the tunnel's of my underground hideout.

After my little bonding moment with Twilight just a few days ago things had been going smoothly. I had went out a few times to chat with Twilight and catch up on things, no spies causing me trouble and best of all was the reactions I got from Celestia after she found out her attempt on my life failed.

Since I only had the damn cows body at the time I had neatly wrapped his head in a box and sent it to her during day court. The screams could be heard all the way to my home which really made my day. Yet not everything had been going well as I had hit a small snag in my plans in regards to reviving Nightmare.

"Things are coming along well my Lord however we are still lacking the means to shield the ritual from notice. No matter what we try it would seem Luna will be alerted and more than likely come to investigate." stated the vampony making me frown a bit.

Luna was the biggest problem for me at the moment. Her connection to Nightmare would alert her to our attempts at reviving the alicorn meaning I would have to deal with her sooner than I had planned. I couldn't just imprison her or else Celestia would be on my back more than usual to find her and killing her was something that would end very badly for the world in the long run. That only left me the option to somehow brainwash her or even convince her not to squeal which wouldn't be easy by any stretch of the imagination.

As I was thinking on how to deal with the lunar monarch Dark Embrace and I had reached the throne room where the others were waiting for us. I promptly took a seat in my throne while Chrysalis stood to my right and Savage to my left. In front of me stood Dark Embrace, Lyra, Zecora, Bon Bon and the recent addition Soarin of the Wonderbolt's.

Soarin was actually my longest running spy since I started my spy network in Equestria. Turns out that most of the ponies in the elite group got their positions due to family ties including Spitfire. Sure they had talent but they didn't have to work up to get their positions like he had done and when this was revealed to him he didn't take it quite well. Hence why he is now my spy and future Wonderbolts captain once I'm on the throne.

It was then I had an idea to get rid of Luna at least for the time being. The best part was that I would get to torment my least favorite ponies in the process. I just love my brain sometimes and that is not a sign of narcissism.

"Hmm I believe I have a solution to our little problem with the Night Princess Embrace so no need to worry on that front. Also it is good to see you again Soarin, how goes things up in Cloudsdale?" I ask casually as the pegasus stallion snorts.

"About as well as you'd expect. I've managed to get Spitfire to date me which opens up even more doors for me to gather intel but I don't know how much longer I can stand her. The mare is obsessed with her image and that means I have to play colt toy to her twenty four seven. I need a damn raise." he grumbled making the rest of us chuckle.

"Just a little longer Soarin. Soon enough Celestia will be off the throne and you won't ever have to deal with her again. Now if that is all leave me as I now have to get to work." I said and with a quick bow all of them departed save for Chrysalis and Savage who stayed by my side.

"What are you going to do dear? Does this have to do with your 'solution' to Luna? The night of the revival is fast approaching so whatever you plan to do you must do so quickly." said Chrysalis as she looked at me skeptically which drew a snort of smoke from the dragoness beside us.

"Do you have no faith in our Lord bug?" challenged Savage drawing a glare from the Changeling who hissed at her.

"Enough! I will not have any infighting between us so both of you will stop this here and now understood!?" I commanded with a glare making both of them bow their heads in submission and mumble apologies.

"Now either leave me or keep quiet as I need to concentrate for my plan to work." I said.

"Oh fine be that way but I'll be waiting in bed for you." she purrs and with a quick peck she walks away with a lot more swaying in her flanks than usual making my eye's focus until she was out of sight.

Looking back at Savage I see her growling in Chrysalis direction making me raise a brow but otherwise not comment on why she was doing such a thing. The female brain is one thing I will never try to study for sanities sake. Instead I focused more inward as my magic began to flare and my eyes closed.

It was a common misconception that only Luna was capable of dream walking but the truth is that anyone could do it however the magical drain from doing so was immense hence why it was so easy for Luna to do it. But even before my transformation my magic reserves were immense but now not even I knew what I was truly capable of.

First dream I visited was the dream of my so-called parents. I didn't want to waste the night going from one mind to another but thankfully I had found a way to cut my work load in half by connecting both of their dreams into one. Took a little bit of work but it was well worth it.

Appearing in their dream I wasn't too surprised at what I found. Both of them were sitting at the kitchen table of my old home as they watched a young Gleaming Shield and Twilight play. Figures I was nowhere in here. An evil grin split's my face as I start to weave my magic throughout the dream. Soon enough the house melts away into a barren landscape complete with jagged rocks and dead plant life. Yeah it wasn't very original but the classics always worked for me so eh.

"N-Night Light where are we." stuttered Twilight Velvet fearfully as she observed their new surroundings.

"I don't know dear." responded Night Light before he spotted Twilight and Gleaming still in foal form, "Twilight! Gleaming come here quickly!"

Now came the real fun, for me of course. Weaving my magic some more the forms of the two foals began to shift and change as they turned to look at the two now horrified ponies. Right before their eyes the two rapidly rotted away in a horrifying display as skin and muscle gave way to bone before turning to dust. Night Light looked ready to puke at what he had just witnessed while Twilight Velvet already was blowing chunks. The sight made me roll my eye's, I had seen far worse and barely flinched yet these two act like it's the end of the world.

It was then I appeared before the two smiling but this time I had my wings out showing them exactly what I had become. I took joy in watching the shock, rage and even fear on their faces once they saw me.

"Like my little show mother? Father?" I asked smugly as I stared at them.

I raised a brow in amusement however when Velvet tried to leap at me but was physically being held back by Night. Oh this was going better than I could have hoped! It only got better when she started yelling at me hatefully.

"You monster! How could you do that to your own siblings! I should have thrown you out when Celestia told us what you were!" she screamed as my gaze turned neutral.

"And what did she tell you I was? A monster? A menace that would one day destroy Equestria? It wasn't my fault I was born with a talent for dark magic yet you blamed me anyway! You just took Celestia's word for it like the good little sheep you were and condemned me to suffer! You don't deserve to be a mother!" I roared as lightning rained down from the sky further scaring the two ponies.

"Yet look at you now! You became exactly like how Celestia said, a monster!" returned Night which I responded with a hollow laugh.

"I admit I have become a monster in some aspects, but I am a monster of your making along with the others. You have only yourselves to blame for what I am now so if you should blame anyone blame yourselves. But first here's a little glimpse of your future." I say with a malevolent smile as the scene shifted once more.

Instead of the wasteland we were now in main street Canterlot which looked as clean as ever save for the black banners waving my symbol on each side of the street. Close by there was a gathering of ponies looking up at a raised platform. On that platform were Velvet and Night looking severely malnourished and raggedy as the were locked in a pair of stockade's. Ponies then began to throw things at them adding more bruises and covering them in rotten things that couldn't even be discerned on what food they could have been. The biggest horror however was the fact that both unicorns horns were gone.

I watched with a smile as my two so called parents watched on and just to add insult to injury a small filly began to speak to their mother just loud enough to be heard by the two.

"Mommy, why are they being punished? Did they do something bad?" she asked innocently as her mother looked down on her with a smile.

"Yes honey they did a very bad thing. They abandoned their own flesh and blood to suffer at the hooves of a tyrant. The called their own son, our king, a monster and neglected him for nearly his entire life and this is their punishment. To suffer alone just as they left him to do." said the mare as the scene faded away to a black void as both parents now turned to look at me in horror.

"Now you have something to look forward to! I'll being seeing you soon." I said as I faded from the dream.

With my parents now scared out of their wits it was now time to visit my so called sister and her lover. I can't wait to see their reactions! Almost instantly my astral form, as I've taken to calling it, arrived at the Crystal Empire hovering just above the sleeping crystal monarchs as they cuddled. How cute, lets see how long that lasts.

Doing the same thing I did with Velvet and Night by connecting their dreams before diving in. I deadpanned however once I saw what their shared dream was. I nearly puked at the scene of a huge rainbow in a beautiful meadow where in the very center sat Gleaming and Cadence on a checkered picnic blanket sharing a plate of spaghetti. The sight made me want to blow chunks but I kept it down. Hard to look intimidating while vomiting after all.

"Well I can't say I ain't surprised. You two always were ones to over fantasize." I said gaining both of their attention and upon seeing me leaped into defensive stances.

"Dusk! What are yo-" began Cadence only to freeze when she saw my wings.

"Nice to see you both as well. Gotta say you both have a really vivid imagination when making this place." I say as I idly kick a walking carrot that had a smiley face on it. I may be a bit twisted but this place is just disturbing.

"H-h-how? You. Alicorn. Wha?" stuttered Cadence making me snicker at her attempt to wrap her head around the fact that I had become an alicorn.

"What's a matter Cadenza? Cat got your tongue?"

"Shut up you freak! Your little illusion won't fool me! There is no way in tartarus a bastard like you could become an alicorn!" screamed Gleaming making me give her a bored look which served to enrage her even more. Time to educate her a bit.

"That's what you think dear sister. It's actually quite amazing what one can accomplish with a bit of imagination as well as the Alicorn Amulet and the horn of Sombra." I say with a fanged grin which visibly made the two shiver.

"Impossible! The horn is locked up in the empire and the amulet is hidden in the everfree!" declared Gleaming as she tried to call my bluff.

"Oh? You mean the horn that is, or better was hidden in the secret chamber connected to your chambers? And the amulet that was hidden in the zebra Zecora's hut?" I say innocently making both of their faces drain of color. Seems they finally get the fact that I'm not bluffing.

"Enough of this Dusk! Why are you here!?" demanded Cadence making my eyes narrow at her.

"You don't demand things from me you harlot! As for why I am here lets just say I'm going to give you a peek on what's coming your way." I say with a smile as the scene once again changes. Gone was that disturbing meadow only to be replaced with the throne room of the Crystal Empire.

But like with the alternate Canterlot I had shown my sire's there were differences. For one most of the crystals had a darker light to them than usual and some spots were even covered in chitin. On the ornate crystal throne on a raised dias however another of me sat wearing almost the exact same garb as my adoptive father Sombra only without the royal cape. Above my other's head sat the crystal heart only now it was blood red yet was still giving out it's calm and peaceful aura.

But the real focus of attention was the pony kneeling down at the bottom. It was easy to see from the white coat and blue mane it was Gleaming only she was now dressed in a dark brown tunic and had a black metal collar with a red gem around her neck. Still she was glaring up at my other hatefully.

"You've been caught trying to start a rebellion among the subjects once again Gleaming. How long until you realize it's pointless?" asked my other.

"You think they will stand to be your slaves forever!? Eventually they will rise up and you'll be put down just like Sombra was!" she declared but all my other did was laugh. Oh this would be good.

"Oh but dear Gleaming that's where you are wrong. They are not my slaves only you. Don't you remember? This is your punishment for your crimes against me and for your abandonment. Be glad Twily managed to convince me to spare you and Cadence's lives." says my other just before the doors to the throne room opens to reveal Chrysalis walking in with a leash held in her magic. Said leash was attached to a familiar pink alicorn wearing the exact same ensemble as Gleaming.

"Hello dear! I just needed to take my pet for a walk, she doesn't seem to enjoy them though with all her former subjects glaring at her. I could taste the hatred rolling off of them!" said Chrysalis as she went to stand at my others side as Gleaming tried to comfort the pink alicorn but was having no luck.

"I don't blame them. The so called 'Princess of Love' they so admired turned out to be a fraud as her love only extended to those who she thought deserved it. I would say she is more of the Princess of False Love. Make sure to take her out again tomorrow. Now off with you two! Get back to your chores around the castle and we'll see you later tonight." said my other with a laugh that was soon joined by Chrysalis just as the scene faded away to a black void where Cadence was silently crying and Gleaming was looking ready to murder me.

"You...you sick bastard! You think that's going to happen while I live and breathe!? I'll kill you before that happens!" declared Gleaming as I now gave her a cold look.

"You and those bigot's tried to kill me once and failed. You will fail again and when that happens you will truly know my pain and will continue to know it till the end of time. This outcome is closer than you think after all." I say before disappearing from the dream world.

When I opened my eyes again I was back in my throne in my hideout with Savage still by my side like the bodyguard she was. Once she saw that I was 'awake' she quickly looked me over as if checking for any injuries I may have sustained.

"Are you alright my Lord? You were out of it for a while." she asked as I waved her concerns off.

"I'm fine Savage. Just giving a few ponies some info on things to come and showing my new wings off a bit." I say as I get up from my throne and stretch a bit to get the stiffness out from sitting too long.

"Are you sure that is wise? They will be more suspicious of you now than ever especially once Celestia hears of it."

"Exactly. You see that is my plan in a nutshell. Now that they know I can invade dreams Luna will more than likely be put on guard duty of the dream realm meaning while she is doing that.." I say leaving the ending for the dragoness to finish. Her eye's quickly widen in recognition as she finishes.

"She will not notice the revival of Nightmare Moon! That is a brilliant plan my Lord."

"Of course Savage. It takes more than raw power to win a war. Being able to play your enemy is the best way to win in my experience." I say proudly as I walk off to bed followed by my bodyguard. Things were going exactly according to plan.
