Twilight and Pinkie's I Have A Dream

Golden splashes of light strike across the land in patterns so complex and varied that once cannot imagine them all. Violet colors slowly fade into pink and then into a golden crest as the sun rises above the mountains to the east. The sun glitters off the crystal of Ponyville's Crystal Castle. One could even say that the shimmering light on the castle was akin to that of the Crystal Empire’s Castle. A radiant glow shimmered through the thinnest parts of the crystal, which cast rainbows on the ground below it.

Inside one of the rooms of the castle the covers of the bed, that occupied a large part of the room, shuffled and shifted. Two forms could be seen there, both half under the covers. One was pink with a lighter pink mane while the other was a purple with a darker purple mane that had a pink stripe running along the center of it. The pink pony yawned and stretched, her wings shifting a bit as she did so, her eyelids fluttered open to show her crystal blue eyes. Blinking to get the sleep out of her eyes, she lit up her horn with her cyan magic as she closed the curtains, as much as she could, before snuggling into the other pony with her, falling asleep. The purple pony instinctively wrapped her wings around the pink pony. They stayed like this for a while before the purple pony used her magic to open the curtains which let the morning light into the room.

The purple pony slid herself out of the embrace of her, still sleeping, lover. The purple pony's cutie mark stood out in the light. A six pointed magenta star on top of a six pointed white star with five smaller white stars around the center star in, what could only be described as, an orbit. Stretching and yawing she headed off to the bathroom to brush her mane and teeth. The pink pony that was still on the bed slowly began to rouse from the lack of warmth from her now missing companion. Getting up the pink pony looked around to see where her beautiful mare had gone. Upon resting her eyes on the opening bathroom door she sprang off the bed towards it, arriving just in time to tackle hug her lover and give her a kiss.

After a few moments the ponies broke the kiss. The ponies lay there for a bit, the purple one wrapping one wing around the pink one while using her other wing to rub said pony's cutie mark. The purple Alicorn's wing traced the outline of her lover' cutie mark, which is a set of three balloons with the outer two being blue and the center one being yellow. Each of the balloons on the cutie mark had white strings attached to them, which the wing traced with great care and detail. The actions of the purple Alicorn elicited soft, sensual, moans from the pink Alicorn. "Good morning my Pink Party Princess," the purple Alicorn Said as she nuzzled her lover.

"And good morning to you, my Amazing Magical Princess," Pinkie said as she nuzzled Twilight back before kissing her again. It was at this point that there was a knock at the door and a call letting them know that breakfast was ready, which caused Pinkie Pie to growl softly.

"Hush, you, there will be time for this later, but we can't neglect our duties, now can we?" Twilight said as she and Pinkie got up, their regalia floating over to them. Their crowns, one golden with purple amethyst and the other silver with alternating blue opals and yellow citrines, landing gently on their heads. A pair of hoof shoes setting down in front of each of them, in each pony's specific material, gold for Twilight and silver for Pinkie. Their necklaces came next; Twilight's necklace had Pinkie's Cutie Mark hanging from it while Pinkie's Necklace had Twilight's Cutie Mark on it.

"You're right, but this afternoon we are going to take some time to ourselves." Pinkie said adamantly as she stepped into her horse shoes. With her own shoes one Twilight brushed up against Pinkie and gave her a nuzzle and a chaste kiss of the cheek before they headed out to get breakfast.

Once their breakfast, a small stack of pancakes each with butter and syrup on them, they headed to the council chamber where they met up with the rest of the Princesses of Harmony. Together they sat on their thrones and began to cast the spell that they do every day. The castle began to glow as their horns did. The area around it began to glow and a beam of rainbow light shot into the sky. Far off in The Everfree Forest another beam shot into the sky, though it was admittedly weaker than the one from the castle. The first beam arced and curved over to the one in the forest, its energy hitting the tree of harmony which allowed it to grow a little more and as it did the elements, which sat in its branches, charged up more.

As the spell ended the princesses visibly relaxed and seemed to rest more comfortably on their thrones. After the whole ordeal was over they were able to spend a few minutes chatting before open court began. At this point Rarity turned to Twilight, "How are you doing today darling?"

"I'm doing good Rarity, how about yourself?" Twilight replied as she sipped her morning tea, black with one sugar and a small amount of cream, which had been left next to her throne on a platter.

"I am quite well dear." Rarity said, a smile gracing her lips. She had been the one to help Twilight through her worries about asking Pinkie out on a date. Seeing those two happy together warmed her heart and made her think of how lucky they were. "So, how long?"

"Hmm?" Twilight said as she set her tea cup down on the platter, its contents emptied completely.

"How long has it been since you and Pinkie got together? It seems like it's been years but..." Rarity trailed off after asking her questions.

"It's been a good two years Rarity, remember it was a year before you guys ascended and it's been a year since then." She said with a smile and a fond look on her face, remembering the good times they had.

"My point exactly. It was on your one year anniversary that the rest of us ascended, and it has been a year since then." Rarity stated in a quiet voice that was not unlike a whisper.

"Don't worry, I already have plans," Twilight whispered back. After that the idle chatter settled down and the doors to their court room opened to allow the first petitioner to enter. The court proceeded to hear, answer and comment on propositions, answer questions and solve issues. The hours wore away and soon court was closed for lunch. The paperwork from the session was filed away for later review and the princesses left for lunch.

On their way out Twilight picked up a picnic basket and grabbed a hold of Pinkie before teleporting them out to one of the many fields outside of Ponyville. The soft green grass clashed slightly with the trees off in the distance. The sky was a brilliant blue, with few clouds drifting across its surface. A gentle, warm, breeze swept across the area. The two princesses who occupied the hilly clearing lay peacefully on the blanket, resting a bit before having lunch. Twilight wrapped her wings around Pinkie and held her close, her lovers head resting on her chest.

They lay like that for a while before Pinkie kissed Twilight deeply. Their tongues dancing with passion before they set into something much more intimate.

A couple of hours later the two once again woke, this time from a relaxing nap after their activities. Together they dug into their lunch, which while simple, was very satisfying. Once they had finished their sandwiches and small bowls of soup they lay there looking out at the sky. The sun was starting to sink towards the horizon as they lay there. It was a little while later when Twilight turned towards Pinkie and cleared her throat. Pinkie looked up, a little confused as to what Twilight was doing. It was then that Twilight started to give her speech. "Pinkie Pie, my lover, my beautiful mare. For the longest time I have loved you, your enthusiasm, your cheer, your passion, your happiness."

"Pinkie, I have a dream. A dream of spending the rest of my life with you. For all of eternity that is left, I want to spend each and every day by your side. Through the tough and the easy. Through times of peace and times of war. You are my world and your happiness is the sun that warms my heart. Here in this world where a pony is judged not by their race, but by the contents of their heart, I want to share everything with you. The good and the bad, so Pinkie, will you marry me?" Twilight asked as she pulled out, and opened, a small black box which held an earring with her and Pinkie's cutie marks on it.

Tears were running down Pinkie's cheeks, "Of course I will Silly. I love you more than the world and I couldn't be happier to marry you." Pinkie pulled Twilight into a death grip hug. They sat like that for minutes, and Pinkie didn't even seem to notice the pain as Twilight attached the earring to her ear. Twilight attached her own earring to her ear as he continued to hold Pinkie. "Pinkie." Twilight said in no more than a whisper.

"Mhmm" Pinkie replied softly, enjoying the feeling of her lover holding her. Her tears having dried up completely.

"Remember that night, a couple of weeks ago, when we used that "special" spell?" Twilight asked pulling back a bit to look her lover in the eyes.

"Yeah, what about it?" pinkie said, tilting her head a little bit.

"Well, I have another surprise for you. You're going to be a mother." Twilight said softly, her cheeks turning ever so slightly pink. The words struck Pinkie so completely off guard, after a few moments Pinkie grinned widely and hugged her lover tighter than before.

"That-that's amazing news! I can hardly believe it. I'm going to be a mom!" Pinkie exclaimed her joy overflowing.

"I'm glad you're happy. And one more thing Pinkie, Happy Anniversary."

The lovers sat there enjoying the last warmth of the day as the sun began to sink below the horizon. The lovers lay there in the hilly fields, happy as could be as they slipped into a loving embrace beneath the accumulating stars.
