> Chapter 1: Rough landing

	Auraxis a world ravaged by eight years of unceasing war only after the return of its original inhabitants the alien race known as the Vanu did the warring factions united to defend themselves the ancient aliens who were not pleased to find humans on their planet. That was three years ago. After defeating the Vanu  a few were found that were scientist and helped us, to finally re-establish contact with Earth, giving us light speed drive technology further allowing us to return to Earth and learn what has happened since the colonization of Auraxis nearly two centuries ago and help to settle new colonies through the galaxy. after  learning  of what happened during the war the Terran republic military was severely punished by the current president of The TR on Earth and charged with war crimes The New Conglomerate and the Vanu Sovereignty were recognized as sovereign and independent governments and now control 85% of Auraxis.

Strapping into the pilots seat , I run a check on all of the primary systems of the CT-7 Super Galaxy transport plane as I Prepare to enter orbit and meet up with NC heavy cruiser  Enduring Freedom to for my next supply The Super Galaxy was the big brother to the famous CT-5 galaxy which was used by all three empires during the war on Auraxis though the Ct-5 was designed to carry a squad of fifteen men the Ct-7 could carry three times that, whether it was troops, ammo and medical supplies or a vehicle as large as a Sunderrer troop truck, it was a big plane to fly and capable of space flight. being twice as long and twice as wide it was evident why it was called the super Galaxy, and with twice the armament as well two A30 Gatling gun type auto turrets on top, two more located on the underside of the plane which could be retracted when landing one located directly under the nose giving it a so called chin turret. On each wing tip engine nacelle was a single m20 basilisk machine gun, in the tail another A30 and one final A30 just three feet aft of the loading ramp.   As I get closer I hail the Enduring Freedom. 

"Enduring Freedom this is Captain V'than approaching in Transport Bravo-6-7 September I am five clicks out  ready for final approach" as I speak into the microphone built into my helmet  letting the them know I was ready to land.

"Roger that Captain Change course to heading one three five point six and proceed to touch down in hangar two"
Came the reply from the Freedom's communications officer. 

"Copy Freedom changing course and heading to designated hangar"
Came my reply.  

Touching down in the Freedom's hangar and lowering the cargo ramp, I step out to check in with the deck chief to see what my next load contains. Looking up from his data-pad Chief Matthews waves happily to me as I walk over to him, 

"Hello chief what have you got for me this time" I ask. 
replying he says “four crates of rations, twelve crates of ammunition some SMG's a few shotguns, LMG's some assault rifles a crate of fragmentation flash bang and concussion grenades one max suit and various tools and weapons for it Spare parts for a super galaxy three Nanite repair guns and two Nanite medical applicators various other medical supplies and one Flash" 

My expression turned to that of one of confusion 

“All that for a colony is it for the local militia" I ask. 

"Nope" came his reply “it’s for the Sierra 15 outpost 50 kilometers outside the City the men out there are in rough shape and need this load" was all he said.
Knowing where this was now needed I understood the men out there were having it rough and barely hanging on? 

“Okay chief load her up and I will get out of your way" I told him. 

"Yes sir captain" he said. 

As I started to turn away and head to the ships mess hall to get a quick bite to eat I heard a familiar voice yelling at me, 
"Hey now I know you wouldn't go and do something without telling mom or dad let alone your younger brother" 

As I turned around I started to smile for I knew who the voice belonged to and replied "Well joey you can tell them we are fine and that you wanted to help setup a new colony". 
As I looked at the young lieutenant in front of me who looked just as happy as I was. After a few seconds we shared a good man hug and hand shake.
"So how long before you are done and we can have that poker game with the rest of the squad" Joey asked small smirk appearing on his face. 

"This is the last one for me and then time for some poker and some R&R" I said, while at the same time reflecting on how eleven years ago when I was only eighteen and Joey a year younger than me had joined the NC army when war broke out on our home colony of Auraxis.

"Don't worry Joey I'll be back in a few hours" I said and turning to continue to the mess he stopped me again. 

"Hey V'than before you get some chow I got your jet pack back its all fixed up" he said as he handed it to me. "Thanks little brother" I said as I strapped it on to my back

"One more thing" he said as he pulled out a small box.  "Happy belated birthday" he chuckled

Opening it i was shocked to see what it was. "A cloaking device, but these are for infiltrators" I said with surprise

"Yeah but seeing as how much fun you had with the one on new years I figured I would get you your own" He said happily

"Joey you always knew what made people happy that is why I am glad you are my brother" I said

"Don't mention it" he said as he strolled away humming to himself.

An hour and a half later I took off and headed back to Arcadia.   As I got closer, the proximity alarm started going off, 
"Warning, Warning Spatial rupture detected ahead" 

Looking ahead me and the freedom a small worm hole had suddenly open about the size of my plane. Suddenly the whole plane is caught in its gravitational pull. 

"Freedom a wormhole has just appeared in front of me can you confirm" as I yelled into my mic” 

"We see it Captain we advise you try to maneuver away from it"

Was the Freedoms reply. Seeing that the pull of its gravity was getting stronger, and that I was picking up speed, I knew I couldn't turn away, 

"Negative Freedom the Gravitational pull is to strong I can't move away"

This was the last thing I said before entering the wormhole before it started to collapse behind me. All I could do was hope that it would spit me out somewhere closer by and use my planes new jump drive to get back at the same time I knew my brother was freaking out on the Freedoms bridge and knew he would be devastated be my loss and having to break the news to our parents . As I went through the Galaxy was constantly being shaken, warning lights and alarms going off everywhere in the cockpit, while at the same time I do something I haven't done since the war. I start to pray, I pray that I would be able to land safely on whatever place I ended up and be able to make it home. Looking ahead I could tell I was nearing the other end of the worm whole due since it was getting brighter and the violent shaking was subsiding. With one bright flash I was out of the worm hole seconds before it collapsed behind me causing a large explosion badly damaging my already damaged galaxy, 

"Warning, Warning Variable pitch mode offline, Hull break detected" 

Screamed the cockpit computer. All I could say at that point when I heard this was simple 

“Aww Shit that isn't good" I said, but the warnings kept coming. "Port nacelle engines 1 and 3 offline Starboard nacelle engine 1 and 2 offline"

The final warning made my hard sink to the bottom of my stomach. "Warning Jump Drive off line" 

During this I caught a brief view outside the cockpit what I saw I did not expect. I was no longer in space I was in the atmosphere of an unknown planet. I didn't have time to figure this all out I had to find a place to land. I could see I was above a forest and could make of a clearing that was had the width and length to make a crash landing so I dove for it.  
Now barely above the tree tops I lowered the dive flaps but did not extend the landing gear for the fear they might be sheared off in the landing.

"Shit this is going to hurt" I yelled

I hit the ground with a thunderous crash quickly hitting the breaking jets and deploying my air brakes quickly grinding to a halt. But it wasn't over a fuel line had been severed and fuel was spilling out on to the ground and caught fire.

Now barely conscious I shut the off the fuel line control valves and activated the fire suppressors putting out the fire before passing out.
Meanwhile in Ponyville thirty minutes earlier 

In Ponyville it was a celebratory night. Twilight was celebrating her six months as a princess and one month since defeating the sirens at Canterlot High School and everyone was attending including the royal sisters Celestia and Luna, even twilight's brother Shining Armor and his wife and Twilight's sister in-law princess Cadence and adoptive daughter Nyx  . The rest of the Mane six was there also, along with everyone in Ponyville, 
"Hey Twilight are you enjoying the party?" asked an overly excited Pinkie Pie who seemed to be as hyper and happy as ever.  

"Of Course I am pinkie this is one of the best parties I have ever been too" Replied the young alicorn princess.

"Especially since you managed to keep this a secret for a whole week and I didn't notice" Twilight said
.
"Okey dokey" pinkie said as she hopped away.
"You better hurry the fireworks are starting soon" she said back to Twilight. Hearing this Twilight followed suite "better wait For me then" She yelled.  
As the fireworks display played throughout the evening none of them noticed a bright crimson light crash behind them in the Everfree Forest.

> Chapter 2: First Contact

October 10, 2861

Location: Unknown star system, Unknown planet

Planet Population: Unknown


Within the crashed super Galaxy I began to slowly regain consciousness still a bit groggy from the crash. 

"Ugh that really hurt like hell" I muttered as I slowly unstrapped from the pilot seat and stood up.
"Know I now what the other fly boys mean when it feel like you had a tank dropped on you" as I started to make my way to the cargo bay to see how much of my supply load had survived which was more than half. A quick check revealed that due to there being a seven foot hole in the side of the Galaxy I had lost most of the spare part for the Galaxy and two of the Nanite repair guns. Good thing the plane had a Nanite auto repair system, hurrying back to the cockpit I did a damage control scan to see what was damaged and what appeared got me worried. Before that I caught a quick glance at my wrist watch 1:35 pm wow I had been out quite awhile

"Warning long range communications transponder offline, guidance system offline, Nanite repair damaged" 

But there was some good news as well 

"Deeps space scanner operational, localized scanner online, weapons system online, life support online" 

Hearing this I quickly activated the scanner and wait for a response.  "Scanning.......  Zontarra long range deep space interplexing beacon detected establishing up-link"

As I waited for the up-link to connect I muttered to myself "Come on be somewhere in known space" finally I got my answer, from the data coming in I was one hundred light years from Arcadia according to the beacon and within communications range but, with my transponder out I couldn't call for help, so I did the next best thing. Tapping in some commands on my holographic control keyboard I check the Galaxy's hull integrity.

"Hull integrity 68%" reported the computer, I knew the auto repair was damaged but I activated it any ways. 

"Warning 28% chance of total repair. Do wish to activate?"

I hit yes activating it and already the hull integrity was rising slowly but surely the Nanites were getting things working again. However fate decided to throw a wrench into the works.

"Warning Nanite repair system failure"

"God Dammit are you serious" as I gritted my teeth together now pissed off that the repair system had failed, but I knew I still had one more Nanite repair gun I just had to find it first in the mess in the cargo bay. But first I had to know if this planet had any type of intelligent life on it. 

"Okay starting localized scan of the area" I said to myself even going as far as crossing my fingers as then scan commenced.

"Scanning.... Attention unknown settlement detected 2.054 kilometers to the east"

I sighed in relief but at the same time I started thinking "Hopefully who or what ever lives there is friendly"

I got up out of the chair and headed back to the cargo bay to first find the other repair gun and to gather some gear to take with me when I head out. It didn't take me long to find it but it to was damaged but I needed every bit of luck and hope to get the Galaxy repaired if I was going to get home.

"Better use this thing while it still works while I still can" I said as I picked up the repair gun. Using one was straight forward just point it at your target and pull the trigger and let the gun do the rest. So I did that and after about four or five seconds there was a sharp crackle and sparks flying for the repair gun had kicked the bucket.

"Better at least see how much of this bird is repaired now" I thought as I got back in the cockpit seeing the main screen reading 75.36%.

"Well that's better than when I started" with a quick thought I started to get my supplies packed in my field backpack, but first I checked the crates that held the ammunition and found what I was looking for. Most of the crates held ammo for standard NC and TR weapons as well as some for weapons made by Nanite systems, with ammo for shotguns, assault rifle, SMGs and light machine guns even some rocket launcher ammo.

"Yes someone was smart enough to put simulation type non-lethal paint rounds in here" I said. I took eight clips for my standard NC4-mag shot .50 caliber service pistol along with two clips of standard lead rounds and the same for my Terran Republic T4-Auto pistol. The T4 was a good gun practically a pistol sized sub-machine gun. I had decided to leave my Light machine gun it could cause the wrong vibes with the locals

"Alright I've got three flash bangs, three concussion grenades, combat knife, data scanner and data-pad, full canteen what else am I forgetting ah right med-kit with some of the Nanite med injectors, field tool kit with full Nanite repair gel" As I went over my mental checklist. After that I closed up the pack strapped it on over my jet-pack and equipped the Cloaking device joey gave me before lowering that cargo ramp and stepped out on to this new world.

"Whoa bright" I said as the light hit my eyes. I quickly lowered the reflective visor on my HA001 helmet to let my eyes adjust to the light. It was also in that moment I had a complete moment of stupidity. 

“Dammit V'than Freedom credits are useless hear and I have nothing else of value to trade with dammit" Quickly face palming myself. That’s when a small glimmer in the ground caught my attention, I bent down seeing that is was some type of polished stone.

"What do we have here" I said in a whisper. Pulling it out of the ground it turned out to be a palm sized Emerald this I knew was valuable because the alien race's Humanity had since encountered when Auraxis had re-established contact all had a high value on gems. But there was more underneath the emerald so I got busy digging and within a few minutes had 25-30 gems before me. 

"Hopefully that settlement has a good exchange rate in their money for gems" I said to myself. On that note I packed them in my pack closed the cargo ramp and headed east.

Ponyville 2:30 pm

Today seemed like any other day as life went on as usual. Twilight was on her way to pick up Nyx from school, she had already had three meetings today and was glad when it was time to bring her daughter home and get some fresh air.

"Hello Cheerilie" Twilight said happily as she reached the school house

Hello Twilight how has your day been" Cheerilie asked joyfully. She always had a smile on her face unless a student was misbehaving or being rude.

"It’s been crazy, I have had three meetings each at least 2-3 hours long" Twilight said with a heavy sigh.

“But I am glad to finally be out of the castle and I can finally get some fresh air" She stated with some re insurance 

"Hi mom" Said Nyx as she trotted over to her mother

"Hi Sweet heart how was your Day" Twilight asked the midnight black colored alicorn filly.

"Pretty good" Nyx replied," Applebloom, Sweetiebelle and Scootalo wanted me to ask if it was okay if they could come over to work on our homework and play after we were done"

"Can weh Twilight" Asked Applebloom who was standing next to Nyx with Sweetiebelle and Scootalo.

"We promise to not cause any trouble" Scootalo said

"Okay girls" Twilight giggled “But, you have to do your homework first".

"Yay" Came the reply from all four fillies at once.

At that cue they all headed back to the Friendship Rainbow Castle not knowing that an extraterrestrial was nearing their home or what his intentions were nor did he know what to expect when he arrived.

Outside Ponyville 3:00 pm

After about an hour and a half I had finally reached the settlement what took me by surprise is it resembled a village from medieval Europe back on Earth and that wasn't the strangest part, first off there was the name on the welcoming sign.

"Ponyville what the hell kind of a name is that" I said to myself.
The second thing that was strange is sure enough there was a castle rising above the village was a castle, but it wasn't made of stone from how the light of the sun was reflecting off it seemed to be made of some sort of crystalline material. Then I saw what really caught me off guard and it was ponies everywhere and the strangest thing was they were Technicolor. Then I noticed unique physical features the obvious was they were only about three feet tall, some had wings which I realized from ancient mythology as Pegasus others had horns on theirs head obviously unicorns while the rest looked like your normal every day horse. The one thing that they all shared in common were these strange markings on the sides with each one different than the previous ones.

" Ponies that are brightly colored and have wings or horns I must be really out of it" I muttered " Well no use just standing here better go meet the locals and find out where I am who lives in the castle" as I headed in. The moment I got half a block into the town all the ponies around me stopped what they were doing and started staring at me, I couldn't blame them they have never seen a human let alone something that was seven foot three inches tall before and wearing armor . At the same time some started whispering to each other in plain English

Thanks to my enhanced hearing I heard everything.

"What is he" one asked

"What is that he is wearing" another demanded

"Looks like some kind of armor" replied the first one

I just ignored it and continued on my way. by the time I got to the town square I was alerted to the gurgling of my gut, I hadn't eaten since yesterday and I was starving luckily one of the shops caught my attention, Ponyvillle cafe said the sign above the door. Seeing this s a chance to get some found and some Intel I head over to it. As I stepped through the door I raised my visor to readjust my eyes every one of the ponies in side went quite as they saw a towering unknown creature step in side with the only sound being the dull thud of my combat boots as I stepped hunched over to the main counter. The tan pony with a red mane was caught off guard when he saw me stumbling back a few inches.

"H-H-Hello T-There" He said apparently frightened

"Hi" came my muffled reply from behind the face guard of my helmet

"H-How can I help you" he asked

Looking at the menu I told him what I wanted 

"Can I get a Cesar salad one large strawberry lemonade and a slice of watermelon" I asked happily

"Sorry can you repeat that I didn't quiet catch that" he asked

Realizing my mistake I took of my helmet, "sure" I replied as I took it off as he replied with a shock gasp

"What’s wrong" I asked him worriedly

"Nothing" he said "It’s just your face” he continued

"What about it" I asked with concern not knowing what was wrong with it but he quickly did

"It's just that you have two long scars running down the left side of it" he said

My attention quickly alerted to what he was talking about, the two four inch long scars running down the left side of my face half an inch apart at a forty five degree angle.

"Oh these had them awhile nothing new but what I was asking is could I please get a Cesar salad a large strawberry lemonade and a slice of watermelon" I said to the still scared male pony standing in front of me.

"S-Sure thing just a second okay" he stuttered and returned a few seconds later with my order

"That will be ten bits please' He said with a small bit of fear still in his voice. Taking off my pack I set it on the counter and fished out a ruby and a piece of amethyst putting them in front of him

"I hope this will do as equal value it's what I have and I'm new around here" I said with a small smile

"It will do" he said as put them in the register. As I picked up my meal and my helmet and started to move to a vacant table he asked me a question.

One last thing may I ask you name sir" He asked

"V'than what’s your" Was my answer. "Green Leaf" He replied. Pleasure meeting you Green Leaf, on that note I made my way to a vacant table, due to the lack of chairs I sat on the floor Indian style and started eating while at the same time catching Green Leaf being asked numerous question by the other ponies in the cafe before hesitantly walking over to me.

"Excuse me Mr. V'than did you say it was some of the other customers have asked me find out what you are where you are from and what that stuff is you are wearing and how you got those scars?”

"I don't see any harm in it" I replied setting down my fork and turning to face them so they could all hear me.

"Where to start? well first off I am a Human and from the looks I received walking through town and coming here, odds are you have never seen a human" I started off "I can say the same thing seeing as I have never seen brightly colored talking ponies before" as I continued stopping to take a few bites of my salad

"Secondly I come from a place Called Auraxis it's the land where I was born" I said lying to them since Auraxis was in fact a planet and I didn't want to scare the by telling them I was an alien.

"And finally what I am wearing is combat armor since I'm a solider it’s what I normally wear" Came my final answer which took them by surprise but seemed to calm their fears as I finished up the last of my meal and put the glass and plate in the return bin.

"The scars I got in a recent war which only ended three years ago" I continued which caught them completely by surprise.

As I headed for the door I stopped and turned around looking towards Green Leaf

"Oh and Green Leaf that salad was the best dam thing I have ever tasted so here is a little something for your troubles" I said as I lightly tossed him another ruby, before stepping out the door. I had only gotten half way out when I found myself falling face first into ground and hearing two voices of female origins land behind me with a loud oomph. Quickly jumping to my feet and turning around I saw two ponies laying on the ground, I could tell they were female due to the builds of the body quickly taking note of their appearances one had a pure white coat and a strange two toned electric blue mane and tail along with magenta colored eyes and a conical horn on her forehead with those strange marking on her side of a backwards facing music note which, by far stood out the most. The other pony was a normal one but had dark grayish brown fur jet black hair and violet eyes which you don't see every day but the feature that stood out the most was those darn marking on her side, it was some kind of music note or something.

"Oh crap sorry about that" I quickly said with a hint of concern in my voice as I helped them to their feet well hooves in this instance

"Ow my head  Watch were you’re going yo-" Said the white pony stopping half way as she saw what had tripped over her, a look of shock and fear washing over her face.

"Um Um H-Hi" She said shakily “Sorry that I tripped over you was hard to see you there since I had to bend over to get out the door" I said to her by this time the grayish one was looking at her

“You okay Vinyl" She asked

"Yeah I'm okay Octy thanks for asking but who or what is he" She asked her apparent friend as she point a hoof at me

"I don't know but it looks like your glasses broke when he fell over us" She proclaimed in an accent similar to an English one as she handed Vinyl a pair of sunglasses with magenta lenses with the exception that one had broken in half and the frame that held it had broken into three separate pieces.

"horseapples these were my favorite thanks a lot Mr” she said to me angrily as she took the glasses in some sort of telekinetic field effect. Seeing this I felt bad but knew I could repair the lens and frame with some of the Nanite repair gel in my tool kit, but at the same time something strange happened. In the brief instance she gave me the angry look hers eyes went from magenta to a crimson red, I figured I was seeing things and thought nothing of it.

"Look I'm sorry about accidentally breaking your glasses but, I can fix them I have a special kind of tool that can fix them I you would like me to"  I said to her as I knelt down and extended my hand to her she hesitated at first but slowly handed them to me.

"Fine just as long as they still look cool when you are done" she shot at me in an angry tone

"okay then if you want to watch your more than welcome to" I offered to both of them before kneeling down in front of one of the tables set up outside the cafe. I put the pieces of frame and lens on the table and taking my pack off and taking out my field servicing tool kit and taking out a small cleaning brush and my tube of repair gel.

"How is that going to fix vinyl’s glass" asked Octavia somewhat confused at what I was doing

"Just sit and watch and you'll see" I replied as I put the two halves of the lens together lining up the fracture marks so they would be the proper shape. I then spread a thin layer of Nanite repair gel over the long thin line where it had broken and within a few seconds the Nanites had completely repaired the lens leaving it as if it was brand new. I then slid the lens back into the remnants of the frame it had sat in and repeated the same process with the three pieces that had broken off and within five minutes the shades looked as if they had just been made.

"Here you go good as new" I said as I handed them back to Vinyl who shared the same stunned and surprised look as Octavia.

"How did you do that" Asked a bewildered Vinyl

"Nanite Repair gel it can repair broken or damaged stuff in a matter of seconds" I replied "It's something my species came up with about 75 years ago" I added in "By the way may I ask your names?"

"I'm Vinyl Scratch Canterlots most well-known DJ's and this is my Marefriend and love of my life Octavia Melody" She said happily as she put on her sunglasses and put a hoof around Octavia who blushed a little
"Pleasure to meet you both" I replied

"My I ask what your name is" Octavia ask curiously

"I am Captain V'than of the 157th Infantry Division New Conglomerate army" Was my answer

“Aww sweet a solider “Vinyl said ecstatically "but what the heck is that stuff your wearing is it some kind of armor" She asked shortly after

"It Is It's Heavy assault composite armor made of light weight but very strong materials" I said to her "But I have a question for you, Do you know who lives in that castle o-" before I could finish something pink jumped out of a large flower pot that was near by catching me off guard causing me fall onto my back. My Mind switching to combat mode and quickly drawing my mag shot thankful that I had loaded a clip of non-lethal rounds into it.

"Hi" The pink pony said in a squeaky female voice.

"My name's Pinkie Pie what’s your?" It asked

Getting up I kept my pistol raised and aimed at her, which caused Octavia to become alarmed she knew how dangerous guns could be ever since the previous year with the Silver horse shoes when she found out Vinyl was a vampire and she became a Lycan.

“Wait Wait its okay she’s a friend of ours she just does this around new people" Shouted Octavia with some urgency.  To which I slowly moved my finger away from the trigger and slowly re-holstered it before standing up with an angry and rather irritated look on my face.

"My name is V'Than and didn't your parents ever teach not to sneak up on someone like that" I angrily shouted to the so called Pinkie pie.

"Well somebody's a grumpy pants, I was just wanting to say hi" Said Pinkie putting on a look that looked like a face an angry child would give their parents.

"Well next time you want to me someone try just walking up to them and saying hello and jumping out and scaring the daylights out of them" I asked her is as calm of a voice as I can summon

"Okey Dokey Lokey" She says with a big smile before taking at a speed that I can’t even fathom leaving me dumbstruck 

"O-kay the hell was that" I ask Vinyl and Octavia who are still standing next to me

"Aw don't worry about it that's just Pinkie being Pinkie" Vinyl chuckled.

“If you say so but she should lay off the sugar for about a month" I respond to her comment still in disbelief at how fast she moved.

"What was it you were asking before Pinkie showed up" Octavia asked me probably because I didn't get to finish my question.

"I was asking if you knew who lived in that castle over there I'm assuming it is someone with a high political standing" Came my reply because I needed someone who held a political office who I could better explain where I was really from because a politician usually  was able to handle a situation like mine better.

"We do our friend princess Twilight Sparkle lives in it. Octavia said "Why is it so important that you need to see her?" she asked I knew I couldn't tell them everything so I would have to tell a small lie

"Well frankly I have no idea what country apart from knowing I'm in a town called Ponyville that just so happens to be full of multicolored ponies" Was the only answer I gave which kind of shocked them.

"Well I can answer that first part, you’re in the country of Equestria I don't think Twilight will mind if we go and see her" Vinyl said to me with a concerned smile on her face which I could tell that I had made her worried.

"Great but first is the a Bank nearby where I could exchange the gems in my backpack for the local currency I really don't want to carry them around without raising some suspicion" I asked since well yeah I figured it would be better if I could trade them for an equal some of money.

"Heck yes the bank is just down the street come we'll show you" Vinyl said with excitement seeing as how I wasn't intending to do anything dangerous

"Alright then lead the way" I said and with that Vinyl and Octavia lead me to the bank which was ten minutes down the street and quiet impressive looking since it resembled and ancient and old fashioned bank from the nineteenth century stepping inside was easy it was trying to convince a teller that I wasn't some lunatic.

After half an hour of trying to convince the teller to give the exact equivalent amount of money which was called bits we finally left and I wasn't in the best mood after.

"of all the incompetent idiots I've met in my life that teller was a total dumbass" As I put the pouch containing my newly acquired bits into my back pack still upset that the gems I had given him were only worth five grand

"What do you mean by that" asked" Octavia slightly concerned

"Where I am from those gems would have been worth at least 8.5 million Freedom Credits" 

"Freedom credits?" Asked Vinyl with some curiosity as we started on our way to the castle again

"Yeah where I come my home "land" of Auraxis we have three factions that rule over a certain percentage of it I belong to the faction known as the New Conglomerate and our money is the Freedom Credit" As I tried to explain it to them the best I could while stopping to take a drink of water from my canteen.

"Three factions can you guys get along and be united like us" asked Vinyl whose curiosity was starting to get excited

"I wish so, throughout our history we have never been a completely united race and don't get me started on how long we have had wars with each other" Was my reply

"Why how bad can your wars be?" Asked a now slightly scared Octavia thinking this human was some sort of monster.

"Trust me you don't want to know because I fought in our most recent war and that only ended three years ago" I said

Think quickly how important it might be to makes some friends here I decided since Vinyl and Octavia were the only ponies who weren't that scared of me I figured I could ask them.

"Can I ask you two a personal question?" I chimed in 

"Sure what is it?" asked Octavia in her thick accent

"Is it okay if I call you two friends? You are the only ones who don't seem scared by my appearance or the answers I've given to your question? I asked them 

Quickly looking at each other and whispering in their ear for once which I couldn't hear they turned toward me with smiles

"I think that would be AWESOME" Cheered Vinyl all excited not knowing she had just befriended an alien

"Well alrighty then that is great hehe look at me been here a day and I'm already making friends" I chuckled full of Joy

As we finally reached the castle gate which was more like a set of gold trimmed double French doors.  Before we even got to the doors themselves we were instantly stopped

"HALT who goes there" Shouted a demanding voice My head snapping to face who ever had asked only to see what looked like a tan Pegasus with a blue mane in armor that looked like ancient Roman armor geez this place is weird I thought.

"Relax Sentry It's just me and Vinyl" chirped Octavia with a slight giggle

Sorry Octavia but, I meant that tall thing behind you" He Said

"OYE I am not a thing I am a human buddy and more importantly a solider too” I snapped at him I also wanted his name so I knew who was talking to me.

"What’s your name solider" I asked him in a gruff voice.

"Flash Sentry"

"Well then Flash Sentry nice to meet you but I am in a hurry and these two polite Mares said that their friend Princess Twilight Sparkle lived that correct" I said to him

"y-yes why" He asked slightly scared.

"Let’s just say for the moment it’s classified" I said "But, Let me ask you a question that might make it easier for you to understand. Do you have any type of air transport vehicles?"

"Yes but not that many why" Asked a now curious Flash Sentry "why?"

"Let’s just say the one I crash landed here in the forest isn't taking off anytime soon and I would like the help of any political representatives to help me explain where I am from"

"Okay but I'll have to ask you to hand over that thing on your hip "He said as he point to my Mag-shot not knowing I had my T4 holstered behind it

"What’s your rank Flash sentry" I asked 

"Lieutenant" He said 

"Good because the last time I checked a Lieutenant doesn't tell a Captain what to do with his weapon" I said in a manner that made me seem like I was a drill Sargent 

Hearing this he immediately snapped to attention and saluted me. "Sorry sir I should have asked your rank first" He said somewhat startled 

"It’s alright now can I speak to Princess Twilight already" I said in a hurried voice

"Of course Sir but you will need to be escorted Ms. Scratch Ms. Melody you can come too.' He said as turned to head in side 

“Lead the way" I said as I flicked my Visor down

Location: Unknown Star System, Unknown Planet

Sub Location: Ponyville Castle

Twilight was sitting in the throne room of her castle that contained the six crystal thrones that she shared with her friends. Each throne had one of her friends Cutie Marks carved into it, they had been created when they opened the chest that had grown from the Tree of Harmony to stop Tirek. But would their friendship which had been forged and strengthened through all of their trials be strong enough for what was about to happen?

"Finally I get a chance to do some reading." Twilight said as she let out a sigh, she opened a new spell book she had just received from Princess Celestia.

"I do say darling, you really should allow for some free time in your schedule." Said Rarity with a smile and some amusement in her tone. She did have a point though, being a princess did take up most of Twilight's free time and she wasn't able to spend as much time as she would like with her friends.

"I know, but being a princess is a big respo-" She was cut off by the sound of the throne room doors opening, in came Flash Sentry, Octavia, and Vinyl Scratch. She was excited to see Flash Sentry the most, all of her friends knew she had a crush on him and she knew he had a crush on her as well. She was about to wave when she noticed that he was lacking his usual calm smile, instead he had a look of concern. It was at this same time she noticed the numerous guards following him which made her greatly concerned. her concerns skyrocketed when she heard the footsteps of the guards and her two friends greatly drowned out by some sort of dull yet very loud thuds. What she saw sent a shock through her as well as the rest of the mane six. Surrounded by the guard was some sort of rather tall, foreign yet very familiar looking creature. It looked like the humans that she had seen when she had gone through the magic mirror to stop Sunset Shimmer and the Dazzlings but there were distinct difference's, for one this human was taller then any she had seen and was wearing some sort of suit, most noticeable was that it's face was completely covered by some sort of helmet.

"H-Hi Flash sentry." Twilight said to him in a slightly scared tone. "Who is this?" She asked, still some what scared of the large human before her.

"To be honest, all I know is that he is a human and by what little I have learned from him, he holds the rank of Captain." Said a scared Flash Sentry.

V'thans POV ten minutes earlier

Walking down the main corridor, I was amazed at what I saw, the walls, ceiling and floors were made out of solid crystal. My curiosity finally got the better of me and I stopped suddenly and walked over the wall on my right. I removed the glove on my right hand and touched the wall, it felt cold to the touch just like regular crystal or a piece of metal. I wanted to get a data record of this so I took off my pack and fished out my scanner which caused some alarm amongst the guards that were around me.

"Hey what are you doing?" Asked a suddenly alarmed Flash Sentry, he had every right to be, this human had just taken out some unknown device and he didn't know if it was dangerous.

"Relax Sentry it's just a scanner not a weapon I just want to know what sort crystal this castle is made out of." I said but that didn't seem to calm him down, so I figured I would show him what it did rather then try to explain.

"Just watch and you'll see what it does." I told him before turning back activating the scanner, I decided upon a mineral analysis scan.

"Scanning..... Analysis complete, structure appears to be mostly comprised of Diamond, Amethyst and Topaz with trace's of other crystal compounds." Chimed the scanner. Flash sentry's eyes almost bulged out of his head in shock.

"W-What is that thing." He blurted out.

"It's a data-scanner, I can use it to find the composition of the atmosphere and levels of radiation, it can also perform medical scans to properly treat injuries or in this case see what this castle is made of." I told him in an enthusiastic tone.

"Can you show us how to make things like it." He asked.

"I can't." Was my reply.

"Why not?"

"Classified information and I believe we were going to see the princess." I said, wanting to get back to the primary task at hand.

"Y-Yes this way." He said, his face returning to it's concerned expression at my presence, after ten more minutes we reached a large set of solid, gold colored crystal doors which the two guards standing outside open before giving me a look of concern and fear, can't say I don't blame them, they probably haven't seen humans, let alone an alien before. Stepping through the doors, we entered the room, which I was quick to confirm that it was the throne room, but there was something off about it. While the throne room of the ancient castle's on Earth typically had one throne, this one had six, forming a circle and were made of crystal like the rest of the castle. 

Sitting in the thrones were six ponies, and I couldn't tell which one was the princess. I did however take note of their appearance. One was a unicorn with a white coat, a dark indigo colored mane and azure colored eyes, not to mention she had a horn on her head like a unicorn and the strange markings, her's being three diamonds. The next one was of an orange color with a blonde mane and green eyes, she didn't have wings or a horn, her markings were three apples.  'Weird.' I thought and God almighty, that freaking pink one called Pinkie Pie was there, the only thing off about her was the curly mane and the three balloon shaped markings on her side. Then I saw the two Pegasi, one was a cyan blue with a weird rainbow mane and cerise colored eyes and again with the strange marking hers war a cloud with a tri-colored bolt of lightning coming out of it, the second Pegasus confused me, she seemed scared of me far more than the rest of them and was hiding behind one of the thrones with fear written all over her face. She had a very light pink colored mane and tail and light cyan eyes, I couldn't see her marking since she was mostly behind the throne.

The final one had me really confused because unlike the others she had both wings and a horn, there was no mention of her kind in any of Earths mythology so I quit trying to figure out what she was. Her coat and tail however, was of a lavender color with what looked like a  mixed of sapphire blue and moderate violet with a pink stripe, the most striking feature where the markings on her side which had a large pink six point star surrounded by six smaller white ones. Before I could do anything Flash Sentry walked up to her and started talking to her while the others just stared at me except for Pinkie, she had her eyes closed a smile on hers face and she was bouncing up and down, she must have forgotten our earlier encounter somehow. The lavender one had finished talking to Sentry and looked at me before slowly walking up to me.

"H-Hello." She said, some fear could be heard in her voice.

"Hi." Came my reply, muffled by the face mask on my helmet that covered my nose and mouth, similar to the oxygen mask a fighter pilot wears.

"Who are you?"  She asked still wondering who this human was or how her got here.

"I am Captain V'than Hendricks of the 157th Infantry Division, New Conglomerate Army." Was my reply.  "Whats your name?"

"I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle." She said, not as scared now since she learned my name. Upon hearing hers, I immediately snapped to attention and saluted her which caught her off guard.

"Why did you do that?" Twilight asked

"Do what?" Came my reply.

"That gesture you did." She answered my question.

"It was a salute, why do the soldiers of your army not salute someone of a higher rank or political office?" I asked her.

"No, they salute fellow soldiers of a higher rank but they bow to Royalty." She said. "Why?"

"My training as a soldier taught me to salute anyone who was above my rank." I told her.

"Is there a way that you could take off your helmet so we could get a better look at you?" She asked.

"Yes Ma'am." I said as I took it off which was met with a collective gasp from all of them except Vinyl, Octavia and Pinkie since they had already seen my face.

Twilight was amazed at what she saw, his face was somewhat rounded and his black mane, or hair as her friends at Canterlot High called it, was cut very short to where there seemed to be only a quarter of an inch left, he had cobalt blue eyes that seemed tired yet at the same time very determined, his skin was lightly tanned yet very white. The most striking feature she saw were the two long scars on the left side of his face.

"I can probably tell none of you have ever seen a human before." I said. "All of you except for you, Princess Twilight, you look as if you have seen my race before." That caught her by surprise, she knew he could tell by the look on her face so she decided to the him the truth.

"Indeed I have, but you look different than the ones I've seen, did you come from through the portal?" She asked me.

"What portal?" I asked and for about ten or so minutes they told me about the so called magic mirror that led her to a world similar to twenty first century Earth and filled with humans who looked exactly like their pony counterparts except for the fact that they were human.

"No, I did not come through your magic mirror but before we continue, what are the rest of your names?" I asked, the first to answer was the orange one.

"Ah'm Applejack, owner of Sweet Apple and grower of the best apples in all of Equestria. Nice to meet yah Mr V'than." She said in a rather friendly but southern voice.

"I am Rarity, owner of Carousel Boutique and I must say that outfit of yours is just dreadful looking." She said in an upper class accent.

"I assure you that there is nothing wrong with my armor, I like it the way it is." I politely responded, suddenly the cyan one was only two feet from my face.

"Names Rainbow Dash and I'm the fastest flier in all of Equestria." She said before smiling and hovering in the air.

"A pleasure." I said. "But, how fast can you fly?" I asked her.

"Mach 3.2." She said, I had to hide my snickering while I thought. 'Rainbow Dash, we have fighters that can fly faster than that.'

"Hi mister V'than, hope you aren't still mad about earlier." Said Pinkie Pie, still as hyper as before.

"Don't worry all is forgiven." I told her.

"Okey Dokey Lokey." She said as she hopped back to the others.

The final one was the yellow pegasus who slowly shuffled over to me, still cowering at the sight of me.

"Well hello, what's your name?" I asked in a friendly voice.  

"I'm F-F-Flutter-s-s-shy." She said barely loud enough to make out.

"Sorry could you repeat that? I didn't quite catch it." I said.

"F-Fluttershy my name is F-F-Fluttershy." She stuttered.

"Nice to meet you and don't be scared Fluttershy, I am not going to hurt anyone." I said which seemed to reassure all of them.

"Um since you didn't come through the portal and seeing as you are a soldier of some sort, can I ask where you are from." Twilight asked, she wanted to know so badly since humans had never been recorded to be in Equestria.

"Well you may want to sit down for this, because it is going to be a lot to take in." I told them.

"How come we need ta sit down so ya can tell us where yer from." Asked a now curious Applejack.

"Trust me, you're going to want to." I said. "Before I do that, I have figured out some of your are Pegasi and unicorns and normal ponies but what kind of pony are you Princess?" I asked her.

"Please, it's okay to call me Twilight and to answer your question, I'm an Alicorn but I used to be a unicorn until I ascended and became an Alicorn and a princess." She said. "Now can you tell us where you're from again?"

"Might as well, figured this migh-" I stopped when my hearing picking up the sound of children laughing coming from the room next to the one I was in. It was very faint but I still heard it.

"Is something wrong?" asked Twilight.

"No but I can faintly hear what sounds like children laughing in the room next to this one." I said.

"Oh, that's probably Nyx and her friends playing." She said to me.

"Who's Nyx?" I asked.

"Shes my adoptive daughter, would you like to meet her?" Twilight said before I could answer, Applejack whispered something in her ear that, for once I couldn't hear.

"Twi, do yah really want Nyx, mine and Rarity's sister meeting someone who we don't know where he is from or if he is dangerous?" She whispered to Twilight.

"I know the risk and he hasn't done anything that would convince us that he is dangerous." She replied in a whisper.

"Alright, I suppose ya have a point."  Applejack said to her.

"Nyx, can you come here for a minute? Bring Sweetiebelle, Applebloom and Scootaloo with you." Twilight called in the direction of the room where I had heard the laughter. A few seconds later out came four small ponies. Fillies, I remembered the name that farmers would call young female horses, they were just as diverse as the others I had seen. The first I took notice of had a large red bow in her mane, orange eyes and the same color coat as Fluttershy but lacked the markings on her sides, it was probably something they got when they were older. The one next to her was a unicorn but with a white coat and a two toned pink mane and tail also lacking the markings on her sides, next to her was a pegasus. She had dull purple eyes and an orange coat with a cerise colored mane and tail, by the small size of her wings I could tell she must have still been learning to fly. The final one was an alicorn just like Twilight but different, she had a black coat and a dark purple mane and tail, unlike the others, she had the strange markings on her sides, they were a dark blue shield with a violet crescent moon embedded into the shield, the most striking feature was her eyes, they were a two tone opal color but the part that stood out the most were her pupils, they weren't round like a humans or ones like the other ponies I had seen, they were slitted like a lizards or a predatory animal. They walked over and three of them stood next to Rarity, Applejack and Rainbow dash while the alicorn stood next to Twilight, instantly confirming that she was Twilight's daughter.

"Is something wrong mom?" Asked Nyx.

"No, our guest heard you girls playing and I thought it would be okay if you met him." She said her daughter "Nyx this is V'than, V'than this is my daughter Nyx and they are Applejack's younger sister Applebloom, Rarity's sister Sweetiebelle and Rainbow Dash's surrogate sister Scootaloo" She told me, all the while all four of the fillies looked at me with shock and awe.

"H-Hi V'than." They all said in a collectively scared and shy voice.

"Well hello." I said. "Its nice to meet you."

"What kinda thing are ya?" Asked Applebloom.

"I'm a Human and Twilight was just asking where I was from before I heard you playing." I said to her.

"Where are you from?" Nyx asked.

I was about to tell everyone where I'm from, but you may want to sit down for it because it might come as a shock." Upon saying this, they all sat down, even Flash Sentry, Octavia and Vinyl sat down as well while I remained standing.

"Vinyl and Octavia already have asked me where I come from to a point, they have even become my newest friends which I am grateful for." I said.

"I told them that I was a land called Auraxis but that's not entirely true." I continued.

"What do you mean it isn't true?" Said a now concerned Vinyl.

"You probably thought Auraxis was a country or a continent, but it is neither of those." I answered.

"Then what is it?" Asked Twilight, her head slightly tilted to one side.

"Auraxis." I said letting out a long sigh,  "Is the name.... of the planet I am from." A look of shock and fear covered all of their faces, including hyperactive Pinkie Pie, whose jaw hung wide open in disbelief.

"Y-Ya mean yer an-"

"Alien." I said, cutting off Applejack. "Yes I am, but you are just as much the aliens to me as I am to you and I am living proof that you are not alone in the universe."

Twilight's expression went from that of shock to one of completely joy, looking as if she might explode.

"This is incredible, I always thought life might exist on other planets, but I never thought I would see the day I would actually being talking to one that knows Equestrian." She shouted full of excitement.

"What's Equestrian?" I asked.

"The language you are speaking, duh." Said Rainbow Dash.

"What you call Equestrian we call English." I said. "Its the Dominant language among my race."

"What do you by that mister?" Piped up Nyx, who was standing next to her mother.

"My race speaks more than one language, all of which are native to our home world Earth."  I told them.

"But you just said you come from a planet called Auraxis." Said a now confused Twilight.

"I did, but Earth is the planet where my race originates from, Auraxis is a planet we colonized almost two hundred years ago."  I said, only confusing her more.

"What do you mean colonized?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"We are a space faring race, meaning we have mastered flight in outer space and we currently are still mastering Faster Than light Travel." I said. "And by colonized, I mean we have settled on over a hundred different planets in over a hundred different solar systems with Auraxis being the colony world that I grew up on. But at the moment all I want to do is get back home." I told them.

"Do ya mean to tell us yer stranded here?" Asked Applejack.  

"More like crash landed." I replied.

"What do y-y-you mean?" asked Fluttershy.

"I was docking with the heavy cruiser Enduring Freedom, which was in orbit of our new colony planet Arcadia in the Arcadian solar system, I was making a supply delivery to an outpost fifty kilometers outside of Arcadia city when something beyond my control happened." I said.

"Do you care to explain?" Twilight asked.

"I was en-route back to Arcadia when a Spacial rupture, which is a tear in the fabric of space or wormhole suddenly appeared in front of my Super Galaxy class transport. The gravitational pull was too strong and I was sucked in, exiting in your planets atmosphere while the wormhole collapsed and exploded a few seconds later." I said.

"Sooo, where did you end up crashing?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"In a clearing in the forest two kilometers to the west of here, my transport was badly damaged in the process. " I replied.

"The Everfree? Oh you poor thing." Said Fluttershy as she flew out from behind the throne, hovering in front me. "It must have been horrifying to land in such a scary place."

"What do you mean? It wasn't scary at all." I told her.

"The fact that the plants grow and the clouds move all on their own, not to mention that the animals take care of themselves didn't scare you?" Asked a shocked Rarity.

"And that is scary how?" I asked.

"Well in Equestria the clouds don't move unless a Pegasus moves them and the plants and animals don't grow and stay healthy unless an earth pony waters and feeds them." Twilight told me.

"What do you mean by the clouds don't move unless a Pegasus makes them move?" I asked.

"Well, its how things work in Equestria." Said Twilight as she rubbed the back of her head with a hoof.

"Well I have a newsflash for you, forests like the Everfree, did you call it? Are natural to us humans on Earth and the worlds that we have colonized so we're used to them. And another thing we have scientifically proven over the last eleven hundred years that clouds move via air currents, you shouldn't be able to touch them and they move since they are made of air and water vapor." I said. "Which I am having a hard time comprehending let alone that unicorns and pegasi exist." I continued.

"What are you saying about not comprehending that unicorns and pegasi exist?" Demanded Rainbow Dash in an irritated voice.

"Well here's the thing. For humans, unicorns and pegasi only exist in our mythology. But everything I've seen here blows that clean out of the water." I replied. "And to tell you the truth I thinks its cool that we are wrong."

"Um O-kay, but how did you ever get those scars on your face deary?" Asked Rarity.

"Through something that my race has waged against each other in the six thousand years of our recorded history." I said. "Something that we are not proud of."

"What is it?" Asked Sweetiebelle.

"War." I said " Auraxis was colonize in 2675 but the wormhole the fleet of ships that arrived through collapsed, trapping us there. We colonized it and three factions arose the first is the governing body that rules over Earth and most of the colonies; The Terran Republic. The second is my faction, The New Conglomerate. And the third is The Vanu Sovereignty. After 175 years of peace, war broke out across the planet in 2850, me and my younger brother Joey enlisted in the NC army to remain free. The war finally ended in 2858."

"It was a terrible long war." I continued. "And it only ended three years ago."

"How bad was it?" Asked Twilight.

"I won't go into details, but all three sides have only one way of describing it." I answered.

"Which is?"

"Whatever Gods once were had long forsaken that place." I started, "There was no death to free you from the war, no glory waited for us in the afterlife, there we had just our steel and the will to endure another day, and endure we had to, for war would not decide who was right, only who was left, I got these scars in that same war."

"It was that bad?" Asked Twilight.

"Yeah and I'm glad it's over." I answered. "But the scars weren't the worst thing to happen to me." I continued.

"Like what exactly?" Asked Octavia.

"Well during the summer of 2854, the 157th was ordered to help defend the city of Axon." I started. "The city was loyal to the NC and was a major industrial city, by the time we got there half of the city had been taken by the Terran Republic." I continued. "We were patrolling a section of the city that had a column of republic tanks moving down it, we destroyed the tanks but then we got hit with some sort of new weapon."

"What kind of weapon?" Asked Twilight.

"One that had been outlawed for centuries." I said. "K-832 Poison Gas, the first canister was dropped from a f-53 Mosquito fighter and we didn't know what it was, a few members of our squad went up to it as it started releasing a white mist, they were dead before they hit the ground."

A collective gasp was released from them as I continued.

"Suddenly more canisters started impacting the street." I said. "At that point I yelled only one order and that was to run, we started running with canisters raining down on us, one landed right behind me knocking me to the ground." I continued. "By the time I got the face mask on my helmet I had already inhaled a lung full of the gas."

They had horrified looks on their faces, but I continued my story. "Having inhaled some of the gas, I started having trouble breathing, only to black a minute later." I went on. "I came to a few hours later, I could barely move and the noise I made alerted the remnants of my squad to my position, the first person to find me was my brother who then dragged me to a medic, I was transported to a field hospital afterwards."

"So ya were alright when they got ya to that there hospital?" Asked Applejack.

"Barely." I said. "I was in it for two months and the doctors had to pump me full of counter agents and numerous chemicals to save me." I continued. "But something started to happen to me, due to the chemicals and counter agents working to stop the gas they started to counteract each other and I slowly started to mutate, mostly just my physical state."

"Mutate how exactly?" A very confused Rainbow Dash asked.

"I went from a height of five foot eight inches to seven foot three inches, I can run twice as fast as I could, I'm stronger, my hearing is better and I have increased awareness of my surroundings, but that isn't all. I can also see in color and infrared" I told them.

"What's infrared darling?" Asked Rarity.

"Infrared is the ability to see heat, most species of snake see this way and many of my friends can tell when I am seeing in infrared." I told her.

"And how is that?" She asked.

"My eyes will go solid Cobalt blue from my pupils to the whites of my eyes." I said.

"Can we see?" Asked Applebloom.

"Sure." I said and after blinking a few times, I was seeing all of them in infrared.

"WOW, your eyes really do go completely blue." Said an excited Rainbow Dash.

"Despite this, I am still excited to meet an alien. I have got to tell Princess Celestia and Princess Luna about this." Twilight said full of excitement.

"And they are?" I asked.

"The main rulers of Equestria, Spike can you come here for a second?" She called

"Sure Twilight." Said an unknown voice.

From behind one of the thrones came a small purple bipedal lizard or at least I thought it was a lizard, it had green eyes with pupils similar to the ones Nyx had and greens spines running down the back of its head to the tip of its tale.

"Uh what is he?" I asked.

"I'm a dragon." Said Spike. "Don't worry, I heard everything."

'Dragons, this planet keeps hitting me in the face with surprises.' After telling Spike what to say, he in turn wrote it all down on a piece of paper, showing Twilight, who read it.

"Okay Spike, you know what to do." She said and on that note, Spike literally breathed fire and burnt the letter, turning it into a sparkling cloud of ash that shot out a window towards the east.

"What the hell? I thought you were sending a letter not burning it!" I shouted.

"Don't worry, that's how I send Celestia letters, her reply should be her in a few seconds." She told me and as if on cue, Spike burped out fire that turned into a rolled up letter.

"Well what did they say?" I asked.

"They wish to meet you at once, they're sending two pegasi with a chariot to come and take you to Canterlot." She told me.

"Forget the chariot, I'll just fly and follow them." I said.

"I thought you said your ship crashed and got damaged?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"I have more than one way of flying." I told her.

"How? You don't have any wings." Demanded Rainbow Dash.

"I have a jetpack." I replied.

"What's a jet pack?" She asked.

"You'll see." I told her as I started to head back down the main corridor.

"Where are you going?" Asked Twilight, I turned to answer her.

"If there are going to be two pegasi who are going to take me to this Canterlot then shouldn't we head outside?" I asked which made her nod in agreement.

"I suppose you're right, come on everypony." She called to the others and we started back towards the main gate. For the first few minutes it was awkwardly silent until I decided to ask a question that had been bothering me.

"Okay this has been bugging me, but just what are those markings on your sides for anyways?" I ask.

"They're our Cutie Marks silly." Pinkie shouted, bouncing up and down as we made our way down the corridor.

"What in the world is a cutie mark?" I asked not knowing what that even was but what the hell, you never know anything about a place you've never been to unless you ask.

"Well." Started Twilight "A cutie mark basically is what you get when you find your special talent or a hobby you are interested in."

"Huh, interesting." I said. "Okay, I have one more question; when I fixed Vinyls glasses after I accidentally broke them, she picked them up in some sort of telekinetic field. What was that by the way?" I asked.

"Magic." Said Twilight, I wasn't able grasp what she had said.

"Magic? That's not possible." I replied.

"Well here in Equestria, every type of pony has some sort of magic." Twilight said, trying to explain it to me. "But, you seem confused about it, why?" She asked me.

Still walking down the corridor, almost to the doors, I thought. 'I better explain my confusion to them.'

"Well for us humans, magic doesn't exist and we believe it never has and never will. That is why I am having a hard time believing that you actually have magic and use it all the time." I said. "But since I am stuck here for the time being, I don't have a problem trying to learn about it and how it exists on this planet which, by the way, what is the name of this planet?" I asked.

"We call our planet Equis." Rainbow Dash told me, still hovering in the air a few feet behind us.

"Hmm, well know that I know what planet I'm on it shouldn't be too hard to map this system and don't worry we don't colonize planets that have civilization on it." I said, by this time we had reached the doors and as promised, there was a gold chariot with two pegasi hooked up to it who looked my way with concern but then relaxed when they saw who they had come to get.

"Hey Rainbow Dash, remember how you wanted to see what a jet pack was?" I asked her.

"Yeah." Came her reply.

"Well time to show you, get going fellas I'll follow behind." I told them, at the same time activating the jet pack with the controls built into the gauntlet on my left arm. Causing the small two foot wings to rotate ninety degrees to the sides and extend out while I held my pack under my right arm, if I wore it while using the jetpack it would be burned to a crisp.

"You ready for this Rainbow?" I asked her.

"I was born ready." She replied.

"Okay then, watch and learn." I said and I ran about five steps forward before jumping up and hitting the thruster ignition before flying eighty feet up. I stopped and used the throttle that fit into my hand to lower the thrust output so I could hover.

"Ta-da." I said as I turned around to see the look of amazement on their faces before turning to the two pegasi who were still standing on the ground.

"Well come on then, you two lead the way." I said and with that they both spread their wings and headed to the east with the chariot attached to them. Before I took off after them I turned back towards the small group still standing in front of the castle.

'I'll be back soon, don't worry." I told them with a smile.

"I'll have a welcome to Equestria party waiting for you." Said Pinkie with the biggest smile I had ever seen on her face. I gave a quick two fingered salute before turning into the direction of the two pegasi and leaned forward, maxing the throttle to reach maximum speed.


Canterlot Ten Minutes later

Thanks to me going full speed to catch up to the chariot pulling pegasai, the trip to Canterlot only took about ten minutes, which was fast if I say so myself. But when I first saw Canterlot, I was amazed at what I saw, the city was literally built into the side of a mountain which, if our architects had seen this they would be going crazy at how dangerous it was to build a city that. It was sticking straight out of the side of a mountain. Over all I was impressed until my sightseeing was interrupted by one of those royal guard ponies, a female pegasus to be exact.

"Are you the Alien?" She asked me.

"Yes I am, who are you?" I asked her.

"Sergeant Dark Feather." She said.

"Well Sergeant, what do you need me to do so I can see this Princesses?" I asked her.

"Follow me, but you're going to have to hand over any weapons and other items first, just a safety precaution." She said.

"Okay then." I said before following her down a long narrow hallway, stopping in front of a small opening similar to that of an old 1920's movie theater ticket box..

"Please hand over any weapons or other dangerous item you have as well what is in the pack." Dark Feather asked.

I didn't answer but complied, naming off everything I had with me as I did.

"One mag-shot pistol with nine spare clips, one T4 auto pistol same number of spare clips, one mag cutter combat knife, three flash bang grenades, three concussion grenades, one canteen, a field tool kit, a med kit, a data scanner and data pad and one bag of bits with the exchange receipt from the bank." I said.

"Your helmet and the thing on your back as well." Dark Feather told me.

"Fine, one HA001 combat helmet, and finally one hellfire mark 6 Jet pack." I said not even bothering to tell them about my cloaking device, seeing as how it would come in handy if I needed a way to escape if this meeting didn't go too well.

"Thank you, this way please." Dark Feather instructed me as I followed her down the rest of the hallway before entering what appeared to be the throne room.

"Wait here, the Princesses will be here shortly." She said as she exited the room. While I waited, I decided to have a look around, the room was rather nice, a multitude of stained glass windows made up the majority of windows of the room. A quick glance at my watch read 5:25 Pm.

"WOW, I've been busy." I said before the sound of another door opening caught my attention, turning around I saw another alicorn as Twilight called herself, but this one was different, she was a dark blue colored coat with a endlessly flowing sapphire blue mane and Aqua colored eyes with a crescent moon shaped 'Cutie Mark' as Twilight called them on her sides, she must have been Luna though she didn't seem all that happy to see me.

"Greetings you must-" I was cut off when her horn glowed as it was enveloped in her so called magic field and a cobalt blue field grabbed hold of my entire body to the point where I couldn't move with my arms forcefully extended out and I was lifted about two feet off ground as she flapped her wings and got eye level with me.

"Now alien, we shall see why you are truly here." Princess Luna said.

"Shit." Was all I could mutter.

Sub Location: Canterlot Royal Throne Room

I have been through a lot. I've fought in a war that determined the fate of my home. I survived the return of a long thought extinct alien race.

Of all the things to go wrong for me this had to be one of the most embarrassing, being unable to move while suspended in the air by an angry princesses so called magic.

"Now alien, tell me why you have come to our planet." Demanded Princess Luna, she had been the first to meet this human and through the description Twilight had given Celestia and her, he sounded as if he really was stranded here but, she knew that some being could be manipulative. She had a right to believe this ever since she and Celestia had chosen Discord to capture Tirek only to have Discord betray them and she was not going to make that mistake again.

I didn't answer and I wasn't about to either.

"I'll ask again tell me why you are here?" Luna asked.

"Let go of me and maybe I will." I said, I wasn't about to let myself get interrogated by a pony that was only two feet taller than Princess Twilight.

"I do not think so." Said Luna. "You will tell me why you are here and we might not have you imprisoned."

"You're going to have to do better than make idle threats." I said.

"Very well." She said, her horn started glowing a darker blue while at the same time the magic field around me started to tighten and compress, adding to the irritating pain of having my arms stretched.

"Now tell me why you are here" Luna demanded, she could see that trying to apply physical pressure to this alien's body was having a bit more desired results.

" V'than Hendrick's Captain Heavy Assault class 157th infantry division serial number 15683269" I said falling back to the training I had received in basic on what to do when being interrogated by enemy troops in this case a princess, which didn't really help much.

"Stop with that nonsense and tell me WHY YOU ARE HERE!" Luna demanded, she was starting to become annoyed so she decided if forcing this human to his knees would make him submit. The force of suddenly being thrown to the ground and on to my hands and knees caught me by surprise as I struggled in vain to stand it felt like someone had dropped a harasser on me but I refused to submit.

"You're going to have to do better than that." I grunted, still keeping my focus on her and when I had finished she gave me a good whack to the side of the head with one of her hooves which just happened to have a metal shoe on it.

"Hah pathetic, you call that a punch? My grandma hits harder than that." I said which just seemed to throw her over the edge.

"How dare you insult me with such disrespect." She screamed as she threw the Human against one of the marble pillars of the throne room before using her gift of speed thanks to being a vampire to get to him before he could react.

The force of being thrown to the wall felt like I had been shot by a Vanguard at point blank range not to mention she was suddenly in front of me pressing down on my chest and left shoulder with her fore hooves as hard as she could.

"Answer me, why are you here." She screamed. 

"Make me." I responded, only to get punched -well, hooved- in the side of the face and my jaw twice.

"-I'm not getting anywhere with him, may be intimidation might work-" She thought when she heard the humans response.

"Is that all you can do?" I asked as I spat out a glob of blood due to the punch to my jaw, only for her to start pressing against my chest and shoulder even harder, which started to scream in agony but I didn't show it.

"No, I can do better." She said. 

"Don't make me laugh." I replied as I watched he eyes go crimson red and two of small pointed teeth poke out of her lips.

"-red eyes just like Vinyls, this is too coincidental to be a hallucination-" I thought. "red eyes and two pointed teeth, like that's going to scare me." I said to Luna.

"No, well maybe a little physical harm might make you talk." she said and before I could answer back she brought her hooves down on my chest and shoulder only to be followed by the cracking of ribs and the sickening pop as my shoulder was forced from its socket.

"GRAAAH." I screamed in pain. "-okay now I really want to kick your ass-" I thought but I was still held and bound by her magic and thought that if she thinks her red eyes and pointed teeth are going to scare me, she should wait till she see's what mine can do.

Luna smirked when she knew she had gotten the upper hand when she heard the distinct sound of some of his ribs cracking and the sound of his shoulder being dislocated but, it was what the human did next that caught her by surprise and even scared her a little, his eyes went completely blue, his pupils and the whites of his eyes all blue, she didn't know but I was looking at her in Infrared.

"W-What are you?" Luna stuttered, the changing of his eyes sent some fear through her only to be interrupted by the very same door she had come through opening again with Celestia stepping through only for her calm expression to turn to one of shock.

"LUNA what are you doing to him!" Celestia cried, she had expected Luna and the human to be politely talking to one another only to instead find him held up against the wall by Luna's magic and worst of all, Luna had her fangs bared and her eyes were red.

"Tia, he will not tell us why he is truly here and refuses to answer me." Luna told her elder sister.

"Luna, can't you see you are causing him great pain? let him go." Celestia responded to her younger sister.

"But Tia-"

"Luna. Now." Celestia demanded.

"Very well sister." Luna replied.

"-Sister?-" I thought. "-Oh you are so getting an ass kicking now-" 

Luna stopped pressing against my chest and dislocated shoulder and released me from her magic. When I hit the ground I fell onto my knees and one good arm, gasping heavily due to the pain in my chest and shoulder. I started taking off my chest plate and armor on my left arm, trying to relief some of the pain and make it easier to breath. Once it was off, I used my good arm to stand up while I took note of the new princess. She had a pure white coat and mane that flowed similar to Luna's but it was pink, blue and green, she had pink eyes and a sun for her cutie marks while standing a foot taller than Luna.

Celestia could see this human was in pain as he removed part of his armor but, the pain was buried beneath a mountain of rage and hate that covered his face. She took notice that his appearance from what Twilight had detailed in her letter matched his appearance exactly, the short cut hair, his cobalt blue eyes and the two scars on the left side of his face. 

Another thing she found striking was his height. He stood three feet taller than Luna and two feet taller than herself, giving him a somewhat intimidating appearance. His armor also caught her interest, it was colored mostly blue with yellow here and there but, the strangest feature was the round symbol on his chest plate and shoulder pads.



She then came to the realization that it was the insignia for his faction, the New Conglomerate as Twilight said in her letter.

"Forgive my younger sister, she can be overprotective of her subjects when a stranger enters Equestria." Celestia said to the human.

I turned to Luna and my conscious told me to beat the the living crap out of her but I withheld myself and decided on a better course of action.

"Luna, apologize to our visitor." Celestia told Luna.

"Very well Tia." She answered. "I am sorry that I-"

"THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?" I screamed as I cut her off.

"Excuse me." She said as she jumped back a foot at my sudden outburst.

"You heard me, what is wrong with you? Do you really think it's okay to beat the living shit out of someone, let alone break half the ribs in his body and dislocate his arm?" I yelled at her.

"I only wanted to know why you are here, I thought my methods were justified." She told me in a scared voice.

"You know what? Shut it, the only way I will talk to you is if I have a sixty foot thick Titanium blast door between you and me. I'd rather talk to your sister then get beat up by you." I answered as I turned to the white alicorn who was standing next to her. "And who are you?" I asked through clenched teeth.

"I am Princess Celestia Co-ruler of Equestria, you must be the alien Princess Twilight met, correct?" Celestia spoke.

"Indeed." I said.

"Please come with us, we will have the castle medical staff heal you ribs and fix your arm." She politely said to me.

"That isn't going to happen, if they want to fix me up fine, but they do it here." I said

"And why is that?" Celestia asked.

"Lets just say you're welcome wasn't that hospitable." I said as I glared at luna.

"Very well, they shall come here." Celestia said as she walked over to the guard that had entered with her and told him to bring the medical staff.

"While we wait can you please explain who you are? Twilight said you are a soldier of sorts." Celestia asked me.

"I am my name is V'than Hendricks of the 157th infantry Division New Conglomerate Army." I told her.

"Hmm, an interesting name. Tell me, just what kind of soldier are you and what is your rank?" She asked.

"I hold the rank of captain, as for the type of soldier I am a Heavy Assault class." I answered.

"What is a Heavy Assault class?" Asked Luna still recovering from my violent burst of rage.

"Hey, what did I say to you?" I asked. "And to answer your question Luna, a heavy assault is basically a soldier trained to use heavy weapons such as light machine guns and rocket launchers." I said.

"Y-You have guns?" Said a now surprised Luna.

"Yeah, we have as a species for over fourteen hundred years." I said. "Is there a problem with that?"

"No, it was just that last year I had a bad experience with a group of Eco terrorists who used guns made by the Griffins, thankfully I outlawed all weapon purchases with them." Luna told me. 

"-Huh go figure, one bad experience and instant gun control-" I thought.

By this time the medical staff had arrived with an assortment of medical equipment similar to that found in a twenty first century hospital, they also happened to be followed by a small group of unicorn guards who were levitating in some strange boxes.

"Hello there, you must be the alien Princess Luna decided to have a good scuffle with." Said one of the medical ponies, a normal pony with a tan coat spiky brown mane and an hourglass for his cutie mark.

"More like she was kicking my ass." I responded.

"Oh don't worry about that, lets just you fixed up." he said. "Oh, I'm the doctor by the way."

As the medical ponies started to do a physical examination of me, I took a moment to get a better look at both princesses, besides their physical appearances both of them were wearing a small tiara on their heads and had a metal chest piece with matching metallic shoes, Celestia's being gold and Luna's being a silverish blue.

Celestia watched as the medical set up their equipment to help V'than while getting a quick glance to Luna, her eyes had gone back to normal and she had retracted her fangs but, her lips were quivering at the amount of blood V'than had been spitting up due to his mouth bleeding and Luna was doing her best to stay in control.

"Are you alright Luna?" Celestia asked her sister.

"I'll be fine, I should be able to stay calm Tia." Luna replied.

"Okay Lulu." Celestia said to her as she looked back to V'than, she noticed that he had held a rather angry look and it was completely focused on Luna.

"Okay, just hold still while we get that shoulder of yours fixed." The doctor told me. "Okay, one. Two. Three." I felt a sharp sudden pain followed by a loud crack and then the pain in my arm was gone and I could move it again.

"Thanks Doc, now about my ribs?" I asked him.

"Alright, lets not get hasty." He said as he pulled out some kind of device that made a small buzzing sound as he waved it across my rib cage.

"Oh my, it seem that Princess Luna broke three of the ribs on your left side and fractured two on your right. " he said "Not to worry, we'll just get that fixed right up."

"Okay then, do what you have to do." I said.

"Alright, first I'm going to have to ask your to remove the rest of the armor on your torso and the top half of your uniform." The doctor told me, to which I happily obliged.

As Celestia watched V'than remove the upper portion of his armor and the top half of his underlying uniform, thankful he had second shirt underneath it, she noticed he was wearing a small metal necklace with two small metal plates on them. A better look revealed them to be some sort of identification thanks to the writing stamped into them, she then noticed that he had kept a rather angry look the whole despite being in pain, what worried her is that his look was directed entirely at Luna.

"May I ask why you are giving my sister such an angry look?" Celestia asked me to which my answer startled her.

"Lets say that right now I don't like her." I said.

"Alrighty there we go, good as new." Said the Doctor "I would recommend staying in Canterlot for a few days, just to make sure your ribs heal fully."

"Thanks doc." I replied.

"Now what's in the boxes that you brought with you princess?" I asked Celestia.

"Well first off, we would like you to explain what each of these items are." She said as she used her magic to empty out the boxes and held up everything I had turned over just before Luna decided to kick my ass.

"Some of these we were able to determine fairly quickly such as this helmet, first aid kit,  canteen, some sort of knife and tool kit and two guns that we could not figure out how they work but these others we are not sure about." She said as she held up my grenades, scanner, data pad and my jet pack.

"First, can you give me my med kit? There's something in it that can help numb the pain and accelerate then healing process." I said.

"Certainly." Celestia said as she floated my med kit to me, I quickly opened it and pulled out one of the med injectors dialing it to use 5% of the Nanites before sticking the needle into the side of my gut. The Nanite started to work instantly, I could feel the pain start to lessen, give it a few hours and my ribs would be completely healed.

"Now can you explain what these are?" Celestia asked as she held up my grenades and jet pack.

"Well first off, the six round things are my grenades and the other item is my jetpack." I replied.

"I don't know what that is, perhaps you could demonstrate for us." Celestia asked me.

"Yes ma'am, just hand it over and I'll take it from here." I told her, which she then floated it over to me and I strapped it back on.

"How exactly does it work?" Asked a curious Luna.

"Basically it lets me fly but, naturally we humans can't fly so we had to invented a means to fly, a jetpack being one of them." I said. "But for a good demonstration I'll need a good vantage point, can you take me to the highest point of this castle?" I asked.

"Yes we can, but why?" Asked a now confused Celestia.

"Trust me, you will want to. But, for what I am going to do I'll need my helmet back." I said.

"Very well follow us." Celestia said. As I followed her and Luna, I was glad that whenever this castle was built, someone had the right idea to make the doors big enough that I could walk through them without having to bend over. After about twenty minutes of climbing stairs we came to a large door and when Luna opened the door it looked more like a bedroom than the highest point of the of the castle.

"Uh, this isn't what I meant by the highest point of the castle." I said with some confusion.

"But it is, my tower and quarters are indeed the highest point of the castle, go out on the balcony and you'll see." Luna told me, which I did and sure enough it was as high as you could get.

"Okay then, you wanted to see how a jetpack lets a human fly? Watch and learn." I told them as I turned and full on sprinted out of the room and leapt off the balcony.

"Nooooo." Luna and Celestia screamed in unison as they ran for the balcony this human had just jumped to what seemed to his death, but that changed quickly when they got to the railing and he shot up past them.

"How did you like that?" yelled as I shot past them and landed back inside Luna's room.

"We thought you had jumped to your death." Said a panicked Luna.

"That's why I had the jetpack." I responded.

"I for one thought it was remarkable." Said Celestia. "But, could please explain what these other items are?" she asked.

"Sure." I answered and for the next half hour I explained to them how my mag shot and t4 worked and the differences between them and their firing mode. I told them how a flash bang and a concussion grenade works and how they are used to temporarily stun enemies, my data pad came in especially handy when I demonstrated how they work let alone how it worked.

"Fascinating." Said Celestia. "But I have a few more questions, you said you are trained to use weapons called a light machine gun and a rocket launcher, what are those?" She asked.

"Here let me show you." I said as I brought up a holographic image of my Gauss saw.

"This is a light machine gun, actually its the one I use, the NC6 Gauss saw light machine gun." I said as I showed them.



"It has a 500 round per minute fire rate and comes in only one firing mode." I said.

"What mode is that." Asked a curious Luna.

"Full automatic." I said. "Remember how I told you how my T4 works, well it's the same thing for the NC6, Machine guns whether they are of the light or heavy type fire full auto."

"Here, let me put it in interactive mode for you to better understand" I said as I made the small image twice as large and brought up the small controls to demonstrate how it work.

"Watch." I said before pressing the fire button.

Celestia was amazed at what she saw, the weapon he was demonstrating from his data pad as he called it really did fire continuously, but then she noticed something displayed next to the hologram of the gun, it was a small number that seemed to decrease with each shot, it finally struck her that it was keeping track of how much ammunition was left before it needed to be reloaded.

"Fascinating." Celestia and Luna said simultaneously.

"Now what about this rocket launcher you use?" asked Luna.

"Here it is." I said as i pulled it up. "This is the NC55 Shrike anti personnel anti vehicle rocket Launcher.



"It fires a 60 millimeter projectile at a speed of 1,580 meters per second and a range of 3.2 kilometers." I said as I demonstrated its destructiveness.

"Well.. this is all very interesting." Celestia said. "But, do you happen to have these weapons with you?"

"My NC6 I left in my transport in the Everfree, as for the shrike I don't know, it was probably sucked out through the seven foot hole that was torn in the side of the hull." I said, which seemed to calm them down.

"Well we thank you for leaving it, I assume that if you had brought it Ponyville might have gone into a state of panic." Luna told me.

"Moving on, since your injuries have yet to fully heal we would like to offer you accommodations to stay until you have recovered." Celestia said.

"Fine, but I will give it a day." I said. "One day." I added, holding up a finger. "But only on one condition." I continued.

"And what will that be?" Asked Luna, she didn't know what he was going to ask but she hoped it would be something good.

"If I am going to stay here I want all of my stuff back, my pistols, grenades, knife and everything else I had to turn over before someone decided to KICK MY ASS." I said as I redirected that last portion of the sentence towards Luna only for her to look at the ground ashamed.

"Yeah you know what I am talking about." I said in a harsh voice, still mad as hell for what she did in our first meeting.

"Very well but, you will have a guard with you when you are not on the castle grounds." Celestia said to V'than, even with Luna's apology he still seemed to be holding a grudge this worried her.

"Fine now my stuff, NOW." I said and every single item I had given up was returned to me, even my pack. When everything was given back I quickly inspected everything to make sure it was exactly how it was when I gave it up, first was my two pistols, I checked to make sure they were still loaded and cycled their action a few times for good measure. My knife I slipped back into it sheath on my belt before holstering my two pistols and returning my grenades and canteen to their respected places on my waist. Everything else I put back into my pack before reslinging it over my jetpack.

"I hope you are now content that you have been given back your property?" Celestia asked me.

"I am and don't think I won't use it in self defense, besides I have both my pistols loaded with a type of ammunition that doesn't kill, it only leaves paint." I said in an angered voice. "Now if you'll excuse me." I said as I headed for the door only to be interrupted as I opened it.

"Where are you going? We haven't finished asking you everything we wish to know about you." Luna asked, unsure as why V'than was leaving.

"Simple after what you did to me there is one thing I could go for right about now to calm down." I said.

"And what would that be?" Luna asked, she was getting rather confused as to what V'than was talking about.

"Simple, which way to the nearest bar?" I asked, what I needed was a drink and the hardest one this planet had at that.

"I do not think that will accomplish anything that would benefit you." Celestia said, she knew V'than was still mad at Luna but, how would going to a bar or pub help him to calm down?

"Well I do, now if you'll excuse me." I said as I started to turn back to the door, it was enveloped in a yellowish gold energy and slammed shut I turned around to see Celestia's horn glowing the same color.

"Really?" I asked her.

"Yes 'really', you may go only with an escort after we are done asking you what we wish to know." She told me.

"Fine but, only one more question and that is it." I said, Celestia was starting to irritate me but I kept my cool.

"Very well, I would like to know why your race is so violent, Twilight said in her letter that your race has waged war against each other for your entire history, are you unable to find harmony and live in happiness?" Celestia asked.

I let out a long sigh ready to explain why humanity is such a violent race.

"The wars we waged against each other in the past were either short or long and sometime decades or centuries apart, and for many reasons, religion, resources, different ideals and some nation thinking they are stronger than the rest." I said. "And no, we have never found harmony because humans are naturally violent and aggressive to each other, it's who we are. But since we have encountered alien races that far more advanced than us we have banded together to defend ourselves for if we are attacked." I continued.


"I... see, since we have agreed to your terms we shall take you to a very well respected pub so that you may get  your drink." Celestia said in a somewhat shocked and confused voice. She decided to let this all play out and see what the outcome would be.

"Thanks, now can either of you lead the way? I still have no idea where anything is since I'm new to this planet." I asked.

"Follow us." Celestia said as she and Luna went out the door with me and the few guards that came with us following suite. After descending the spiral staircase that lead to Luna's room and going through what felt to me as a maze of twists and turn, we finally exited the castle through the main gates and into the late night life of Canterlot. Celestia and Luna turned left down the street and everypony they passed would stop what they were doing and would literally bow. "-What do you expect, citizens paying respect to their leaders-" I couldn't complain, seeing as how humanity did it until the creation of the Terran Republic back in the 25th century. after 20 minutes we arrived at what seemed to be an upper class bar due to how fancy and ornate it looked.

"We are here." Luna said.

"You sure? This place seems a bit too stuck up for me." I said.

"What do you mean?" She asked me.

"Most bars that I've seen like this are for the rich, not the general public." I told her.

"Please V'than do not worry, the owner is a dear friend of ours and we'll see to it that he treats you well." Celestia said.

"Thanks for the support." I said, opening the door and having to bend over again just so I could get through the door. The reaction I got was the same as the cafe, everypony present went silent as they saw an unknown creature step through the door only to relax once they saw Celestia and Luna follow me in. I was able to stand up straight once I got through the door, glad that I was able to walk up to the bar counter, this place had chairs but, they were too small and built to seat a pony not a human so I had to sit on my knees.

Finally a bartender unicorn came over to see what I wanted.

"Hello." he said.

"Hi." was my reply.

"What can I get for you?" he asked.

"The strongest thing you have in a stein please." I said, his reaction was one of pure shock and aww.

"You sure you want something like that? It could probably kill you." He said.

"Trust me I've had worse, especially if you were where I am from." I said.

"Okay then but, I warn you it might knock you on you ass in seconds." he said.

"Bring it." I said.

He walked to the counter behind the bar and used his so called magic to pull down a good sized bottle and a large beer stein filling it three quarter of the way full before bringing it over to me.

"Good luck." he said, with that I took a big gulp before swallowing, it didn't even taste that strong and I know since I don't drink that often. I looked at him, then the princesses, then the stein, then back to the bartender with a scowl.

"Is this really the hardest stuff you have?" I asked.

"H-How are you not on the ground passed out?" He asked somewhat shocked, he had given this stranger Haymakers vintage brand and it didn't even phase him.

"Trust me, this has the consistency of regular soda to me." I said.

"But how?" Asked Luna, she was just as amazed as the bartender, V'than surely should have been passed out, but then it hit her, due to him being an alien his digestive system must be different.

"The reason I am not out cold on the floor is probably due to the fact I am human and not a pony so my body processes the drink differently." I said as I finished the drink and pulling out my bag of bits and placing five on the counter.

"Thanks for the drink" I said as I headed for the door followed closely by the princesses and the guards. Once outside, I headed towards a motel down the street only to feel a hoof tap me on my side.

"Where are you going?" Celestia asked me.

"The motel, I need a place to stay the night." I told her.

"That simply will not due, I would like to offer you the privilege of staying at the castle as part of our apology for you treatment you were given when you arrived." She said, she wanted to show V'than that she was truly sorry for how Luna acted.

"Pass, the only way you'll get me to stay in the same building with her is if she is restrained and surrounded by an electric fence." I replied, there was no way in hell I was staying in the same building let alone castle with a princess who decided to beat the shit out of my only for her older sister to try and get to me to stay to recover.

"Do really think that is necessary?" Celestia asked. "She said she was sorry and yet you still are angry towards her, can you at least accept her apology and let it be?"

"Try looking at it from my point of view and maybe you'll understand" I said in a harsh tone, like her explaining it to me was going to help.

"I understand why you are angry at her but, why can you not leave it in the past." Celestia asked me.

"Let me tell you why." I said as I walked up to her and knelt down so we were at eye level. "Because I made contact with a new species and I was treated in a very friendly way until I came here and met your sister, turning this into the worst first contact scenario ever." I whispered into her ear before pulling away.  

Celestia thought to herself "- He does have a point, this is the first time Equestria or Equis has made contact with other worldly beings and the way Luna hurt him does show we were not at our best-" her train of thought was suddenly interrupted when V'than started to talk to her again.

"Since you, Celestia have been a better host, I am willing to give your sister another chance and will accept your offer to stay the night at the castle." I said " On one condition."

"And that would be?" Luna asked.

"If I stay I want to be as far away from you as possible." I said, I wasn't going to take any chances with her even if she felt like her apology was accepted.

"Very well, we will put you on the opposite side of the castle from my tower." Luna said.

"Thank you, now we are getting somewhere." I said as we headed back to the castle.

Upon returning to the castle, I asked where the kitchen was after my stomach had let out a loud gurgle since I hadn't had anything to eat since the salad earlier that day. Celestia and Luna both lead me down one of the long hallways until we came to a massive and I mean massive, like the size of two ranch style houses at least.

"Holy shit." I said.

"What?" Luna asked.

"My mom and grandma would have a field day if they had a kitchen like this." i replied before spying some refrigerators lining a part of the wall.

Before Luna or Celestia could ask what V'than would like he was already going through the fridges, pulling out fruit and vegetable and piling it on one of the preparation counters before walking over to the large freezer.

"Tia what could be in the freezer that he would eat!" Luna asked her older sister.

"I do not know Lulu." Celestia answered, they got their answer very quick when I started to pull out some chicken and "-heck yeah-" two full racks of ribs.

"Booyah, I'm going to be eating good tonight." I said as I slid the chicken and ribs into one of the ovens only to look over at Celestia and Luna who were just staring at me wide eyed and jaws hanging open.

"What?" I asked them.

"W-We didn't think that you ate meat." Celestia stuttered.

"Well I do my species are omnivores meaning we eat plants and meat." I said.

"Interesting, I did not think such a thing could be possible." Luna said.

"Well it is." I said.

Luna and Celestia watched for the next twenty minutes as V'than ate everything he had prepared, not leaving even a crumb of food left before he was done they were both amazed at how much he had eaten, especially the meat which they only cooked for when the Gryphon ambassador was visiting.

"Well that was good, now if you don't mind I think its my turn to ask some questions." I said.

"Very well, what would you like to know?" Celestia asked.

"First off, what causes your manes and tails to continually flow like that?" I asked.

"The reason is that we are of a very high level of power and we are Immortal" Celestia said.

I couldn't help but snicker at what Celestia had just said, Luna and her immortal? I knew enough from modern science and the related works of the different alien races humanity has encountered to know that immortality isn't possible.

"What is so funny?" Luna asked me.

"The fact that your sister said you and her are immortal." I said laughing a little.

"It is true, what do you find so humorous about it?" Celestia asked.

"Its just that we have scientifically proven that immortality isn't possible, even the numerous alien races we have encountered say the same thing." I said, trying to explain it the best I could.

"I assure that it is possible and very true." Celestia said in a calm voice. She didn't know what to think here was an alien who is telling her that his species and apparently other alien races as well have proven that immortality is impossible yet she and Luna are.

"Hey, I'm not trying to be rude its just I am going off what I learned growing up." I said. "Okay next question, why are your cutie marks a sun and moon?"

"Our cutie marks represent our royal duties, I am the princess of the day and sun, while Luna is the princess of the night and moon" Celestia said to me only to confuse me.

"What do you mean by sun and moon?" I asked.

"It is one of our royal duties I raise and lower the sun." Celestia said.

"And I raise and lower the moon." Said Luna.

I couldn't believe what I had just heard, raising and lowering the sun and moon? I couldn't believe it so much that it all came.

"Bahahahahahahaha." I started laughing.

"I fail to see what is so funny." Said Luna.

"The fact that you said you can raise and lower the moon and the sun that's hilarious." I said through my laugh attack.


"And how is that funny?" Celestia asked she didn't know why V'than thought it was funny she had been doing that same task for 2,500 years.

"Because the fact you said it and its not true and physically impossible." I said as I stopped laughing.

"What do mean by physically impossible?" Celestia asked in an irritated voice, she had been nice to V'than until what he had just said, saying its impossible to move the sun and moon.

"Well for one the mass of a star is at least a hundred thousand times that of a planet and its gravitational field is just as large and stronger than the planet's and with the moon? Yeah it's smaller than a planet but it still weigh hundreds of millions of pounds so in all actuality you shouldn't be able to move either of them and I'm not trying to insult either I'm just going off of what we have proven over the last fourteen hundred years."

'While I thank you for not insulting our royal duties I don't know how I feel about somepony or in your case some alien saying mine or Tia's duty is impossible." Luna said, she was rather irritated that V'than had the gall to say such a thing.

"Alright last question and this one is specifically for you concerning something I have seen twice now since crashing on this planet." I said, I was going to find out what she and Vinyl had in common with the red eyes and pointed teeth.

"And what is it that you have seen twice that concerns me?" Luna asked she was unsure of what he was going to ask her and she prepared for all possible outcomes.

"The fact that when I accidentally broke Vinyl Scratch's glass and she shot me an angry look and her eyes went from magenta to crimson red for a split second and then yours did the same thing we when first met." I said, only for her to gain a look of shock on her face.


"T-Tia, H-He knows." Luna stuttered.

"Know what?" I asked not aware of what is was I knew or what was causing Luna to panic. "Seriously, what are you going on about your getting me confused and worried, is there something that I shouldn't know?" I asked with some concern.

"Y-You really don't know?" Luna asked.

"Again, I ask know what?" I said.

"The reason Luna is now scared and concerned is that she and Vinyl scratch share a certain condition as well as many other ponies who keep it secret." Celestia said, she wanted to explain it as best as she could.

"And that would be?" I asked.

"Me and Vinyl Scratch have what is called vampirism."

"Say what know?" I asked. "Are you saying that there are blood sucking ponies out there?"

"Yes, each of us have the same eyes that go red and these." Luna said as she held her mouth open as the two teeth I had seen earlier grew into inch long fangs.

"Well I'll be damned." I said. First ponies with wings and horns that can talk then dragons and know I'm supposed to believe this? I must be either dead or insane or both.

"Well then, if you and Vinyl are what you say you are then does Vinyl's marefriend Octavia knows about this?" I asked, wanting to make sure Octavia wasn't in any mortal danger.

"She does sadly. She found out last year, the poor mare she didn't know what to think at first but, she realized she loved Vinyl, sadly last year she was bitten by an equally feared creature."

"And that would be?" I asked, this was getting good, a planet ripped right from the human imagination.

"Have you heard of a creature called a Lycan?" Luna asked me.

"Yeah, we have depicted them in a few movie series over the centuries and let me guess, that is what bit Octavia?" I said, it was easy to figure it out.

"Indeed, it was and she has gotten used to it, now about you knowing this." Luna started.

"Let me guess, you're going to lock me in the deepest darkest part of the castle dungeon so that I won't go and tell everyone what I just learned?" I asked. If they did, they better be ready for me to resist.

"Actually no, since you have now learned about our existence and you yourself are something out of the ordinary on our planet I think it is only fair that we make you a temporary member." Luna said in a happy tone, the thought of the first alien on Equis joining the Inner circle just made her ecstatic.

"A member of what?" I asked.

"The group responsible for making sure that we creatures of the night as most might call us, safe and protected. V'than welcome to The Inner Circle." Luna said with a small smile.

"The inner Circle? that name sounds like some kind of socialist organization but, what the heck." I said.

"I'll take that as your agreement. Thank you, now we must go to the meeting starts in ten minutes." Luna said as she headed out of the kitchen.

"Fine since you know where you are going I'll just follow you." I said as I followed her out, after about five minutes heading north of the castle Luna finally stopped at a doughnut shop.

"You hold your meetings at a doughnut shop?" I asked in an bemused tone.

"Yes we do, now go in." Luna said.

The place was actually pretty spacious for looking so small with only one pony inside who looked like he could really use a few more salads.

"Princess." He said with a small bow.

"Hello Pony Joe, its that time of the week." Luna told him.

"It sure is, I know the drill." He said as he headed for the door while Luna handed him a bag of bits.

"Why'd he leave?" I asked as I leaned up against the wall next to the register while setting my helmet and pack on the counter.

"He is the only pony who isn't a member who knows about us and has never told anypony, the bits is payment for letting us use his shop." Luna said, only for the door to reopen after she finished to reveal the familiar face of the two friends I had just made Vinyl and Octavia, both of whom froze when they saw me.

"V-V'than W-What are you doing here?" Asked a now scared Octavia.

"Well lets just say that I might have noticed Vinyl's eyes go red when she was mad at me for breaking her glasses and then Luna doing the same thing when I got to Canterlot and she kicked my ass." I said.

"So you know what we are." Vinyl asked as she stood next to Octavia.

"Yep Luna told me, don't worry I won't tell, I got secrets from the war that only I know about and I have never told anyone." I said with a smile, both mares let out a sigh of relief and calmed down once they took in what I promised.

"So Luna brought you here to make you a member since ya know, you're an alien?" Vinyl asked me.

"Temporary member, once my ship is repaired enough that I can go home I'm outta here and your secret will never be known." I said. "Speaking of which, since this meeting starts in a few minutes I better disappear."

"You're leaving already?" Octavia asked.

"Nope I'll be here, you just won't be able to see me is all." I said.

"How exactly?" Luna asked.

"This is how." I said as I activated the cloaking device from Joey, all three of them let out a gasp.

"How'd you do that?" Vinyl asked with excitement in her voice.

"Simple really." I said as I deactivated it. "This device here on my gauntlet is a cloaking device, it lets me walk unseen."

"Cool." Vinyl and Octavia said together.

"Oops better re-cloak, some more are coming." I said as I re-cloaked and re-took my place against the wall.

Luna started of with a welcome to everyone before going into some stuff about improvements to the group then introducing two new members both of which got their cheers and boos for being a bloodsucker and wolf while unlike the rest Vinyl and Octavia sat together holding hooves in a way and then it was my turn.

"Now for our newest member, please show him respect for he is a long way from home and can be easily agitated sometimes." Luna said. "V'than would you like to introduce your self?"

"Certainly." I said as I slowly walked out into the middle of the shop with a heavy thud from my boots while still cloaked.

All the ponies started turning heads looking for the source of the sound but unable to find it. I decided to play a small joke and dropped the cloak when they were all facing the middle of the room

"Boo." I said as the cloak deactivated to be met with a gasp.

"Hello." I said.

"hi." came everyone's reply save for Luna,Octavia and Vinyl.

"I'm V'than and I am neither Vampire nor Lycan, I'm something more dangerous." I said.

"Then what are you?" A pony on the Lycan side asked. I turned to face the stallion who had spoken and stopped when I saw him, it wasn't the fact he had claws and yellow eyes that got my blood boiling, it was the color of his coat, mane and tail. A red mane and tail with a black coat, the colors of the Terran Republic.

"I am an alien." I said which only confused him.

"N-No way you're from another planet." He said while stuttering to get the words out.

"Yeah I am but from a colony world and not from our home world." I said not wanting to explain myself again like I did with Twilight.

"But what makes you more dangerous than us?" He asked luckily I was able to show him.

"Take a good look at what I have on my belt and maybe you'll figure it out." I said when he did, it only took a second before he went wide eyed.

"Y-Y-You have two guns and some sort of knife." He said in a very scared tone.

"Bingo, right on the money." I said.

"B-But why do you have them?" A curious mare asked.

"In my line of work as a soldier we use guns but, my pistols are what we call secondary weapons, we use bigger guns for our primary weapons," I told her.

"And what would that be?" She asked.

"Basically I'm trained to fight in war and to kill." I said only for a loud gasp to follow from everyone except for Vinyl and Octavia.

"And yes I have done both which was very recent." I added.

"How did you feel when you fought and killed someone?" The TR colored stallion asked.

"Like I wanted to go and throw myself off a cliff." I said. "Because there isn't a day that goes by when I don't see the images of men and women I have killed and those who served with me that have burned into my brain." After that, I retook my place on the wall and just leaned up against it with my arms crossed and my head hung low for the rest of the meeting.

As I headed back to the castle with Luna, Vinyl and Octavia followed us.

"V'than, is it true that you felt like jumping off a cliff when you killed someone?" Vinyl asked.

"Yeah I did because I hate killing even if my friends thought I did, I hated it every damn minute of the war, I hated it." I said only to feel something grab my leg, I looked down and Vinyl and Octavia were trying to hug my leg.

"Thanks, you two seem to know how to cheer someone up." I said with a small smile.

"Don't worry about it, plus you'll see us again when you get to Ponyville for your party." Octavia said.

"Care to explain?" I asked.

"I'm the DJ I always work the music at one of Pinkie's parties." Vinyl said all excited.

"Well alright then looks like I'm going to have to introduce you to Human music." I said. "Good night you two." I said as I went through the castle gates, they both waved goodbye before continuing on. After being shown my room for the night, with the bed being made bigger with magic I tried to sleep in it, sadly I couldn't. When you get used to sleeping on the hard ground or a rock in the middle of a war, you find it hard to sleep on something soft so I opted for the floor which felt better, I didn't even bother taking off my armor before drifting to sleep.


Meanwhile Luna's tower


Though he was asleep Luna still had many questions to ask.

"-What does he not want us to know about his race or the war he was in and why does he sleep on the floor?-" Luna mentally asked herself.

"Well I know one way of getting answers, there is a reason I am the princess of the night and why I can look into the dreams of others." Luna said as she got into her bed, after the events of tonight she just wanted to sleep. As she went to sleep she shifted through the dream realm until she found V'thans mind.

"Let us see what you are hiding." she said as she entered his dream.

Unbeknownst to her she would not be ready for the destruction, violence and carnage she was about to see or even ready to handle it.
