The light still lasts in ponies, even if they've passed away.

Every pony knew Pinkie Pie. But one certain mare is here to pay her dues. One that knew Pinkie Pie better than most.

Hello, Never Good-Bye

The grown, yellowish mare trotted past Sugar Cube Corner's tables and out it's door. I'm going to do this! She thought to herself. I've avoided it to long. Before she could change her mind, again, she levitated the blue ribbon from her bulging saddle bags and tied her orange hair up, letting it fall to her right side. Just like Pinkie use to when she lived with them, it was something that hadn't been done for a long time. Without any more delays, she quickly teleported her way out of the slightly crowded streets and appeared at the entrance to Ponyville's graveyard.

Being a graveyard it was pretty much empty when she got there. However, before she actually went into the graveyard she hesitated remembering all of the fun times she had spent with the pony she was there to see. With some effort she was able to hold back her tears as she slothfully walked through the graves and right in front of a tombstone that read...

"Here lies Pinkamena 'Pinkie' Diane Pie".

"Bearer of Laughter"

"Her last words reign true"

"Have fun okay?"

The blue-eyed mare just stood there, wondering what to say. Wondering what to do. "Um... Hi Pinkie." She hesitated as she picked her words. "I miss you, so does Pound. I'm so sorry I didn't come to the funeral, it was wrong of me and... and... I had never expected it to happen so soon. You were basically our older sister, my God Mother even. I just..." Her eyes began to tear up and her magic swell inside of her. She panicked and directed the magic through her horn and used her manipulation magic to remove the deadly levels of magic into the atmosphere where it couldn't hurt any pony.

She cast her eyes down, attempting to hide her emotions from Pinkie's grave. Come on Pumpkin you can't cry With a long, wavering breath, she pushed the tears back. "I'm sorry, you asked me to be happy, but I just can't." Her heart plummeted as she fell to the ground. Her attempt of concealing her tears was failing.

She finally, after twenty minutes or so, sat up and levitated her bag in front of her. Their wasn't anymore time for sadness it was time to runaway from those chains. "Sugarcube Corner hasn't been the same without you." Pumpkin said. "Mom and Dad talk about you alot." Pumpkin sighed before continuing. "They always seem to be partially complaining and partially joking that buisness has gotten slower every since you left. All of the ponies in town are still hiring Sugarcube Catering though. In fact they've become jointed with the Apple Family's business." Her thoughts wandered to the Cutiemark Crusaders.

"Anyway," Pumpkin continued, her voice still hoarse from her crying. "I brought something for you. It's called laugh-fetti." A small piece of paper danced in Pumpkins magic. It''s enchanted so that it has two functions. I'll show you!" Pumpkin was starting to feel brighter somehow. It was as if a three year eclipse was beginning to end, but only a sliver of the sun was revealing itself. It was similar to a dimmed light was slowly descending on some pony.

"You see, when you apply a magical pulse into two pieces stacked directly on top of each other, you get a party cannon." Pumpkin demonstrated this, revealing a blue, pink, and yellow party cannon, nearly identical to Pinkie's from one of her bags. "and when you use laugh-fetti in place of normal confetti," Pumpkin said loading the cannon, "And fire. When it reaches 1.325413 seconds after being fired, the laugh-fetti will explode into eight times more confetti than the original number of laugh-fetti" Pumpkin giggled when she finished her demonstration. Then she covered her mouth with her hoof giving a little gasp. I laughed.... I laughed, I laughed! That's the first time I've laughed in forever! She jumped up and bounced around excitedly. "I LAUGHED!!! I LAUGHED!!"

Without any warning, Pumpkin Cake came to an abrupt stop, and in a mumbled whisper she said, "Oh my Celestia. I laughed, I smiled." It had taken her nine months but she did smile, laugh," For that momentary instant she had been joyful, giddy, gleefully and just glad to be alive.

"And it's about time too!" A friendly voice said, Pumpkin turned around to see her brother, Pound Cake. "You finally came out here I see."

Pumpkin nodded, "I thought it was time I paid my dues to her."

"No, you finally excepted the fact that it wasn't your fault and that you can honor her without mourning her forever and a day." Pound pointed out, and he was right. He was right. Pumpkin wasn't to blame. No pony was.

Pumpkin smile at Pound, she opened both sides of her saddle bags to reveal two bags of flour. "One last time?"

"One last time." Pumpkin agreed, and with that they were both covered in flour. All of us cried out in laughter, and The two twins had a 'flourball' fight using both wings and magic to their advantage.

As they left, Pumpkin heard a certain pink pony's voice whisper "I'll always be with you, in you're heart and watching over you"

"Did you hear that?" Pumpkin asked.

"It's probably just your imagination." Pound said attempting to comfort his sister. But Pumpkin knew it wasn't and that she was right this time. How do I know? Because I'm that pink pony, and I love the cakes, they are my family.

You all have fun. Okay?
