Chapter One: New Beginnings
There is a Mayan prophecy that says: “When the crystal skulls return to the sacred Mayan lands, the cycle of time for the return of the Mayan cosmic consciousness will have been completed”.
The following paragraph taken from the book “Mystery of the Crystal Skulls" of Chris Morton and Cery Louise Thomas.
"The crystal cells transmit these radio-like waves through the nervous system to cortex cells in the... brain. (There), they are decoded and transformed into meaningful signs which can be recognized as images, words, or perhaps just a feeling of knowledge in the conscious mind. These messages can be received from many sources, but mainly they seem to come from the bank of the subconscious memory and super conscious sources."
Chapter One
-New Beginnings-
*THUD*
A beige coloured hoof slammed down on the table, only visible by the candlelight given off from the cheaply crafted chandelier above.
“And if we don’t find and return these skulls, there might well be a day to end all days!” the owner of the hoof exclaimed in a raspy, weathered voice.
Daring Do was not like other mares. Some might say she was crazy, stupid or a waste of time.
Not in a million years.
Three others sat across from her at the table.
“And how do you know this to be true?” asked a red coloured Pegasus.
He was built like a brick wall, tough as nails and loyal to Daring. If anypony were to back her up ion her rime of need it would be him.
“Because it is Crimson! It has to be!” Daring replied, her voice giving out. Her last venture to the Pyramid of Dali’sah left her ill. She hated being sick, it just made her head feel thick and heavy.
“You should get some rest!” said a young mare who rushed up to Daring’s side to support her. She had a white coat and blue eyes. Daring only wished she were a stallion “Let me take you upstairs to bed”.
“I’m fine!” Daring protested, planting her haunches on her seat and folding her forelegs in protest.
“Come on Daring! Please!” The white mare pleaded, taking most of her weight.
“I’m sorry Church” Daring broke out into a coughing fit. Crimson rose from his seat in worry while the other stallion beside him huffed and looked away.
“Daring, you’re going to bed and we’ll finish this conversation when you’re better” Crimson said sternly as he rushed to the other side of the explorer, his nose pushing at her compass cutiemark, cause her to giggle which turned into a barrage of coughs and sneezes.
“Okay fine” She said, throwing her forelegs in the air before grabbing her explorer’s hat from the table and placing it atop her head.
Church and Crimson lent against her sides for support and led her up to her room in the Inn. The mysterious stallion sat at the end of the table shaking his head.
“Weak” he snorted before leaving to find his own bed.

This chapter has been written in January. I’ve been contemplating weather or not to post it.
I think it’s a good beginning to something great, but it’s not finished.
Please keep in mind that this chapter is subject to change in the near future, anything you read may or may not be staying.

-SYSTEM ERROR! UNKNOWN LIFEFORM DETECTED! HULL BREACH! UNKNOWN PARASITE INTOXICATING AIR, OXYGEN LEVELS DEPLETING! ACTIVATING EMERGENCY SYSTEM CLEANSE IN FIVE SECONDS!

Wow, that random shit at the end was actually really cool! Well, I enjoyed it anyway.
