What if the Blueblood we all know and hate was a fake? An act just for show? The real Blueblood is nothing like we know. He is wise and kind but is the deadliest killer in Equestria. Will he be revealed for who he truly is? Only time will tell.

Blueblood is not who we thought he was. The one we know is a selfish and uncaring narcissist who believes all are below him.

That Prince Blueblood is a lie. An act put on to keep the real Prince from being revealed for what he truly is. An Assassin.

To protect his family and those he holds dear he has chosen to be hated to ward them away so that they may never know who he truly is and risk getting caught in the crossfire. He had chosen a lonely life for the sake of his family with his only saving grace being his secret bat pony love who also just so happens to be a nightguard. The only one who knows the real Blueblood.

His enemies will try to end him and take away all he holds dear but maybe, with his bat pony lover at his side he can save his loved ones and finally be able to show his true self to the world.

Alright so I know most if not every single one of us hate Prince Blueblood including myself. So I decided to make a story about him only in a whole new light. Love it or hate it I'm doing this so sit down, shut up and have a cookie while I right this story.

Contains elements of the Assassin's Creed games except there is no Brotherhood or Templar and it is just Blueblood as an assassin.

'Another day another noble party,' I thought to myself as I stared at the many well dressed noble ponies around me. This was the third party I had attended this week alone and to be honest I was getting tired of it. Not only were the other guest irritating me but I hated wearing this fancy vest that had all of my equipment hidden inside it.

But I had to do this since it was places like these that I got my information and everypony knew that the 'royal Prince Blueblood' would never miss an opportunity to mingle with the upper class nobility.

Yeah you heard me right I am Prince Blueblood though I'm way different than what you may hear about me. If you had asked anyone in Equestria about me they would most likely say something along the lines of me being a 'royal ass with an ego bigger than his aunt's sun.'

They wouldn't be wrong but they weren't exactly right either. Sure I acted like I was the greatest thing to ever grace Equestria but it was just that. An act, a fake persona made to fool not only the populous but even my own family. My family. Damn I know how they think of me. Sure they may smile and act nice but I can see that hidden look in their eyes. A look of disgust and shame. That look kills me inside every time I see it but I can't do anything about it.

I had chosen this path in life and I was going to walk it. They may not like it and neither do I but it was to keep them safe. They were all I had in this world since my parent's passed and I will not lose them. That is why I do what I do. Why I kill.

Equestria may seem at peace to the common folk but that was far from the truth. Everyone thinks that the Element's of Harmony protect Equestria and they are right to a degree. Whenever a major threat presents itself there they are to take it down and I respect them for that. Even if the Element of Generosity wishes for me to jump off of one of the castles towers.

But there are enemies they can't fight and that's where I come in. I take care of the enemies that hide themselves in the web of politics. The ones who will bide their time and when they are ready they strike from he shadows disguised as one you would call friend. These are my enemies and I am all that stands between them and the end of my aunts rule.

That's also one of the benefit's of this persona. Most of the nobles secretly plot to overthrow Celestia and as long as I act like I am interested, well would you throw away a potential ally that had access to the princesses twenty four seven?

Sometimes it really amazed me how stupid the nobility was. As if I would really turn on my own family.

"Ah Blueblood how nice of you to come."

Turning around I was met with the parties host and owner of the mansion Blossom Field. She was a fairly short earth pony mare with a well groomed maroon coat with her forest green mane done up in elegant curls. She wore a frilly green dress that matched her mane and an assortment of jewelry. She was fairly new to the high class life since it was only but a year ago that her agriculture business really took off and now she had major departments all over Equestria. There was even some talk of her spreading out to other nations.

"Charmed to be here lady Field. The occasion does seem quite festive if I do say though the decorations do seem a bit tacky." Yeah the usual Blueblood response, a compliment and an insult in the same sentence.

Coughing a little to most likely calm her nerves she says, "yes I guess they are bit out of date. But in other news I just thought it would be good for you to know that lord Scepter has just arrived with his fiancé Shimmer Shine."

That news struck me. Scepter was a high ranking noble that was a ring leader for over throwing Celestia. I had been trying to get rid of him for years but his mansion is basically a fortress and he kept most of his comings and goings secret so I wasn't able to attack him whenever he left since I never knew when he would leave. And I sure as hell wasn't going to sit outside his house and wait for him! So hearing he was here in the open was quite the surprise and very welcome news. This was one opportunity I couldn't afford to miss.

So after excusing myself I make my way through the crowd scanning for Scepter. I finally found him standing near the refreshment table sipping from a wine glass. He was a fairly average sage green unicorn. Average height, average build, hell he even had an average white suit. But his eyes are what made him unique. His eyes were a deep red with a gold ring around the pupil.

Around him were four heavily armored guards in dark green armor similar to a royal guards uniform. I knew I wouldn't be able to take him out looking how I was since there are too many witnesses. Now was time for a wardrobe change.

Going back to Blossom Field I find her talking with a group of nobles she was in business with. They were not involved with the usurpers as I call them so I ignored them. Coughing into my hoof I quickly get Blossom's attention as she turns to face me.

"Oh Prince Blueblood I didn't expect to see you again." Yeah that was usually how it was. Talk to you for a minute or two then ditch you for a higher class of company. Sometimes I really hated my aliases habit's.

"Yes well I just thought I should inform you of my leave. I have important things happening tomorrow morning and I must have my rest."

Field looked a little saddened at my leaving but didn't really complain. She must of felt like her party was boring me which wasn't the case but with my habits you can't really think otherwise.

"Well then I bid you farewell Prince and safe travel."

I was already heading for the door before she even finished and acting like the rude and snobbish prince they all think I am. I didn't go outside though. Instead I made my way through the halls of her mansion trying and succeeding in not being seen by any of the other guests or servants.

Stopping at a random door I open it and see it is a spare bedroom. Taking one last look at the halls to make sure I wasn't followed I step into the room and quickly close the door.

Once inside I flared my horn. Now you may be thinking I was going to cast a spell right? Wrong. I was actually releasing a spell that was already on me.

In a bright flash I felt a lot about myself change change. For one I wasn't wearing that ridiculous coat anymore, and second I felt more comfortable with myself as if I had just tossed off a set of heavy weights that had been on me for a long time.

Seeing a body mirror on the opposite wall I make my over to it and take in the sight of the true Prince Blueblood.

I was taller for starters, nearly the size of aunt Luna. Also my build was a lot more lean and toned showing that I had athletic ability. My fur once a bright white was now significantly darker to the point of bordering grey. My mane that was once bleached blonde and styled to perfection was now midnight black and wild as if I lived in a forest my whole life. Even my eyes that were just moments ago a sky blue were now a dark sapphire with a white ring around the iris.

My attire had changed as well. Before I was wearing a stupid blue dress coat and now I was wearing a white robe with a pointed hood. (hard to describe so just imagine Connors assassins robes ponified and that's what it looks like) Standing on my hind legs I flex both of my fore hooves and smile at the slight *shing* made as my hidden blades show themselves. Taking in my bad ass pose for a moment I finally re-sheathe my blades and fall down to all fours.

I then do an inventory check. My tomahawk was strapped to my right side, throwing knives strapped to my belt and a rope dart at my left side. Checking my pouch I see I only have three sleep darts. I make a mental note to visit Zecora for some more and to see if she has any experimental ones in stock.

Zecora was my go to for anything poison related since it would be too suspicious to visit a regular apothecary and she knows way more about plants and their effects than any potion maker in Equestria. I pay her bits and spend some time with her and she keeps our dealings a secret. The perfect business deal in my opinion.

Taking one last glance back into the mirror I pull up my hood which then covers my face in shadows and even hides my horn.

"Scepter. Be prepared to join your friends in Tartarus cause tonight you die."
