Before curtain time
Apple bloom was getting warmed up for the play that would be happening in 2 hours. She still couldn't believe she got Api Apple's part in the play. She would have put all of her bits on her friend Sweetie belle, but to her surprise Sweetie got Api Apple's friend, Melody. Melody is a shy pony, similar to Fluttershy, she really doesn't sing that much in the play. The only times she does sing is in the beginning and at the end, where all the ponies acting in the play sing. Apple bloom looked around to see everypony getting dressed in their costumes. She was already in her costume and she had to admit it suited her well. It's was an orange dress with green laces to hold the dress in place, with matching green shoes, her hair was curled and she was wearing apple earnings to complete the outfit.
"Um... Apple bloom, we have a problem."
Apple bloom turned around to see Sweetie belle and Cheerilee.
"What's the problem?"
Apple bloom asked with a confused look. Cheerilee stepped up to Apple bloom and put her hoof on her shoulder.
"Apple bloom, the twins that originally played Apple Jazz and Apple Fuji have tonsillitis, so they can't be in the play."
Apple bloom's eyes widen at her old foalhood teacher.
"B-But how can we do the play without them. They are an important part of the play, not mention I 'fell in love' with Apple Jazz."
Cheerilee put her hoof up to cut Apple bloom off.
"Relax Apple bloom, don't worry. We all ready have our replacements."
Apple bloom saw that Sweetie belle had a nervous look on her face
"They were the only twins we could find in a short amount of time."
Apple bloom gave Sweetie a confused look.
"Well, who are-"
Apple bloom was cut short when she heard two familiar voices come from behind her.
"Well, look at what we have here, brother of mine."
"If it isn't our little Apple bloom."
"I must say you have grown into a fine mare, Apple bloom."
Apple bloom's eyes widen as she turned around to see Flim and Flam.
"T-This cannot be happening."
"Why are THEY here?"
Apple bloom's eyes turned to Cheerilee as she pointed at Flim and Flam.
"Now Apple bloom I know this is out of the blue for you, but we have not other choice. We can't use the cake twins because they are your little brother and sister in the play. So we have Mr. Flim and Flam to be Apple Jazz and Apple Fuji."
"But why do- uh, I give up."
Apple bloom turned to Flim and Flam.
"Welcome to the play. So which one of you are going to be Apple Jazz and Apple Fuji."
Flim smiled at Apple bloom and said.
"I am going to be Apple Jazz, while Flam is Apple Fuji."
Apple bloom's mouth opened in surprise.
"F-Flim is going to be Apple Jazz?!"
"Don't keep your mouth open for too long Apple bloom."
Apple bloom heard Flam say only to be followed by Flim
"Or you might get some unwanted guest."
Just after he finished speaking, Flim pressed his lips to Apple bloom's forehead. Apple bloom felt her face turn pink.
"W-Why did you do that?!''
Apple bloom screamed at Flim. Who just smiled and said.
"You're telling me you don't remember. Well, I guess it can't be helped, you were still just a filly at the time."
Flim winked at Apple bloom and walked away with Flam by his side. Apple bloom put her head down.
"How could I forget."
There were only a few minutes left until the play started. Apple bloom saw Flim and Flam in their costumes. Flam was in a plain white shirt (most likely the shirt that he wears under his vest.) As for Flim he had on a black cape with gold lace around the front, a red bandanna tied loss around his neck, and a black hat similar to what ponies wore in the old days when Granny was her age. Apple bloom couldn't help but to stare at Flim.
"What is this funny feeling I get when I see Flim?"
"Apple bloom? Is everything ok?"
Apple bloom looked around to see Sweetie.
"Oh...yeah, I'm fine. Just nervous."
Apple bloom said with a nervous laugh.Sweetie smiled and said.
"I know how you feel. When I sang in Canterlot in front of everypony and my sister I felt nervous too, but when I got on stage the words just came on their own."
Apple bloom nodded and took a deep breath, feeling more confident than before.
"Ok everypony it's time for the play to start."
All of the ponies back stage nodded. Apple bloom glanced over to Flim one last time, only to meet eyes with him. Flim smiled and mouthed to Apple bloom.
"Good luck."
Apple bloom nodded and mouthed the same back to him.
"Mares and Gentlecolts."
Cheerilee said in her normal cheery voice, everypony in the audience stopped what they were doing and looked at the mare that stood in front of them.
"Before we start the play, I must ask for everypony turn the flash off your cameras."
Cheerilee paused for a second to allow for everypony to follow her orders.
"Thank you everypony, now I proudly present to you 'It isn't an Apple without its Seeds'"
Everypony clapped their hooves as Cheerilee walked off stage and the lights dimmed down.
