> EA - Prologue One > by Anon Brony > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Brother, eh? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbow stretched her arms as he walked along the park trail. She was currently dressed in a white tanktop, along with a slightly torn blue skirt, and black leather leggings. Her sneakers left marks in the dirt as she walked along, her hands in her back pockets. It had been quite the day for her. Apparently, some idiot messed up the schedule. So, after clearing all the clouds in the area, she had to singlehandedly make new ones. It was all such a horrible blur. She sighed as she placed her purple headphones on, and listened to her usual walking tunes. She didn't even pay attention to the oncomer that bumped into her. Her eyes widened as her view was currently yellow. She blinked twice before looking up and seeing a tall, pink haired guy looking down at her. His cheeks tinted a light pink. "H-Hi...?" He greeted softly. Dash squeaked and immediately pulled away from the male's chest, and glared up at him. Her own cheeks a light shade of red. "Hey, why don't you watch where you're going, huh?! You should know to open your eyes when somebody's walking!" She would prod his chest with her index finger. "Who do you think you are, huh?! Some guy who likes to bump into chicks, just so their heads can be buried in your chest?! What do you have to say for yourself?!" She huffed and stared up at him. "I-I..." He didn't even have time to say anything, as he kept getting interrupted. Once he felt like she was completely done, he gulped and stared down at his feet. "...sorry..." He sniffled softly. Rainbow sighed. "No, I'm sorry. It's just...been a long day. I didn't mean to take it out on..." She blinked twice as she took a moment to glance closely at the male's appearance. He had light pink hair that reached about halfway down his neck. A long yellow sweater, light blue jeans, and brown sandals. "...you...look familiar, for some reason..." She tilted her head as she folded her arms. The tall male blinked twice as his sniffling started to cease. "I-I do...?" He wiped his eyes and looked down at the rainbow haired female. "Yeah..." She nodded slowly. "Do you...happen to know a Fluttershy? About your height? Longer hair? Equally pale skin?" The male blinked twice before nodding his head. "I do know Fluttershy. She's my sister." This piece of news would cause Rainbow's eyes, and her mouth to open wide. Sister?! So, wait. This guy was supposed to be Fluttershy's brother? That was weird. She couldn't even remember an instance where Fluttershy even mentioned she had a sibling. ~FLASHBACKS~ Twilight, and the girls were walking through the Everfree Forest, trying their best to get to Nightmare Moon's castle in the darkness. "Oh, I wish I had my brother here with me. You know, I don't think I ever mentioned him. His name is Buttersco-" Fluttershy's sentence would be interrupted by Rarity's frightened scream. To which Applejack would roll her eyes. "It's just mud." She said before letting out a frightened yelp herself. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Twilight was ranting about the wedding that his brother was about to have, and the fact that the news was sent through a letter. "Um...Twilight, are you okay?" Fluttershy asked with concern. "Sorry...it's just that Shining Armor and I have always been so close. He's my B.B.B.F.F!" The other girls would look at her in confusion. "Big Brother Best Friend Forever?" They would all let out an understanding 'ohhh'. "I know where you're coming from. I feel the same way about my twin brother, Buttersco-" The song that Twilight started singing would interrupt Fluttershy. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Twilight and the gang had just boarded the train back to Ponyville. It was an eventful day for all of them. "Huh, bummer Spike had to miss out on all this. He woulda' had fun here." Rainbow said while leaning back in her seat. "I'm sure he's having a great time watching all the critters back at home." Twilight said with confidence. "Think he's still got a handle on things?" Applejack asked while folding her arms. Twilight would calmly breathe out. "If he's staying calm and collected, I bet he's doing a terrific job as a leader." She smiled while looking out the window. Fluttershy would let out a soft 'squee' while looking at her phone screen. "I can't believe it! My brother, Butterscotch is moving into town, and he's transferring to our schoo-" Applejack would let out a 'shh' noise, causing the pink haired female to silence herself. "You all hear that?" The farmer asked, referring to the small growling noise she had heard in the train car. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Nope. Never heard anything about a brother. Rainbow lifted an eyebrow as she slowly walked in a circle around the nervous male. "Brother, eh? Well, I can certainly see the resemblance. The hair, the hippie clothes, that cute, fearful expression." She said with a smirk, noticing the look of fear on the male's face. There was even a blush on his cheeks from the notion of him being cute. "So, you got a name, Fluttershy's brother?" She placed a hand on her hip while continuing to look up at him. "Um...B-Butterscotch..." He said softly. He even had the same quiet speech pattern as Fluttershy did. Now, they were definitely twins. "Alright, 'Butterscotch'. What'cha doin' way out here? Visiting Fluttershy?" "Y-You could say that. I...I'm going to be staying with her, until I can find a home of my own." He said sheepishly. "Oh, so you're moving into town, eh?" She asked with a bit of a teasing tone. The male blushed a deeper shade of red as he nodded. "Cool. Hope to see you around, sometime." She gave him a two finger salute before continuing her walk. Suddenly, she felt something gentle holding onto her arm. She looked back to see that Butterscotch had been the one holding her back. She raised a confused brow while blushing only slightly. "Can I...help you...?" "Um...w-well...I...don't exactly know where Fluttershy's home is...I don't suppose you know the way, do you? I-If it's too much trouble, than I could just-" "Sure! I'll take you where you need to go. I needed to stretch my wings anyway." She straightened her blue wings, and started flapping them in order to start floating mid air. Butterscotch just stood there, his head tilted downwards. "What's wrong? Don't you have wings?" She tilted her head. "Um...y-yes...but, I kinda have this suitcase..." He motioned to his light yellow suitcase to his left. You think Rainbow would have noticed this earlier. "Would it be okay if we walked?" Rainbow groaned. "Eh...fine. But, you owe me, big boy." She poked his chest before winking. Butterscotch's blush returned. 'What is it with this woman? Is she just teasing me, or is she being serious?' Butterscotch thought to himself. "Yo. You comin'?" Rainbow asked as she started walking. "Oh, y-yes, coming!" He came out of his thoughts, and started wheeling his suitcase behind her. "So, what made ya decide to come to town?" Rainbow asked curiously. "Well, it has been a long time since I've seen my sister. She actually recommended a college that she's going to. I figured I would go ahead, and give it a try." "She recommended EA? Wow, you've really taken a shot in the dark with this one. EA is like, the most legit school around these parts. You're definitely gonna like it. Which grade are you gonna be in?" "Well, let's see. I'm nineteen, now. I graduated high school last year, so I would be starting my freshman year, I believe." He shrugged. This seemed to bring a smile to Dash's face. "Oh, sweet! Looks like you and me are gonna be freshies!" She managed to hook an arm around Butterscotch's neck, and pull him into a little noogie. The shy male would quietly whine at the treatment. Rainbow rolled her eyes and giggled as she released him. "Well, you're gonna have a good time there." She stuffed her hands back in her pocket as she continued walking. "G-Good to know." Butterscotch rubbed his head as he continued walking behind her. Soon enough, they would both be in front of Fluttershy's cottage, just on the edge of town. "Well, here's your stop. What do ya think?" Rainbow smiled as she looked back at him from the doorway. Butterscotch was speechless as he stared at the house. "Wow...it's beautiful. Who would've guessed that my sister would end up in a nice place like this?" He walked up to the doorway, and stood next to Rainbow, who knocked a couple of times. "Alright, Scotch. This is where my walk ends. I gotta get some sleep. It was good meeting ya." She nudged his arm before starting to walk away. "W-Wait!" Butterscotch called out. Rainbow blinked twice and turned her head to look back at him. "I...I-I never got your name..." He said sheepishly. Rainbow then realized, she technically hadn't properly introduced herself. Then she realized, it would be a little lame not to make a little game with the male. She smirked. "Why dont'cha figure it out?" She teased before spreading her wings, and taking to the skies. Leaving Butterscotch all alone at the doorway, until a pajama clad Fluttershy opened the door. "Butterscotch! Yay!" She cheered softly as she hugged the male from behind. All the while, Butterscotch was still staring in the direction of Rainbow's path. The only question roaring through his mind was, 'Who is that girl?' > Tour > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Where have you been?!" A male yelled as he stood in front of Rainbow Dash. He appeared to have the same rainbow colored hair. Only, it was shorter, and way more spiky. He wore a black T-shirt, and dark sweatpants. His hands were on his hips, and he held an angry demeanor. Which Rainbow didn't find intimidating at all. "Relax, Bro. I've just been out." The female said, brushing a red strand out of her left eye. "At ten o' clock at night?! You couldn't have called to check in?! You know what people walk around at this hour?! Did you even care?! What were you doing?!" The male gritted his teeth. Clearly, he was pissed off. "It's no big deal! I was just out with a guy, and..." She paused that sentence. That sounded way more wrong than it should have. "...what...?" The male deadpanned. He found that sentence just as wrong as she did. "Okay. Before you start yelling more, let me just say that he's cool. In fact, he's Fluttershy's brother, and-" "You were out with a dude?!" The other started yelling more. "How did you know this guy wouldn't try and touch you?! For all we know, he could've tried to pin you down, and titty fuck you!" Rainbow rolled her eyes at this comment. "Trust me, I don't think he's even capable of doing that. He's very much like Fluttershy. He's tall, kind, funny, cute..." Rainbow trailed. "WHAT?!" Dash laughed at the male's reaction. "I'm kidding, dude. Relax." She smiled. Though, it wasn't exactly a lie that Butterscotch was cute. "But, he is a nice guy. I think you'd really like him. Come on. He's movin' into town. Maybe you could give him the ol' Blitz tour?" She nudged the guy's shoulder. "I dunno...isn't that Pinkie's job?" He folded his arms, feeling very skeptical about this. "Eh, she's been kinda moody lately. Come on. Just give him the tour. Pwease? For your widdle sister?" She did a typical wide eyed, puppy dog face. She even added the classic quivering lip. "Ugh." He rolled his eyes at the successful attempt. "Fine. I'll go meet him tomorrow. But, for now. I'm going back to bed. It's exhausting to yell at you." He yawned. "I can tell. Your voice is so scratchy." She giggled. "Goodnight, Blitz." She gave him a hug. "Goodnight, Dash." He hugged back before flying himself up the stairs. Rainbow decided to step out onto the back porch, and glance up at the full moon. A sigh escaped her lips as she leaned on the balcony. 'Man...what was that about? When do I ever call guys, 'cute'? Well, it is kinda true. He has the exact same cuteness levels as Fluttershy...I wonder if he cuddles like her? That would instantly knock Rainbow out of her thoughts, and glare at particularly nothing. "Shut up, mind." ________________________________________________________________________________________ Meanwhile, Butterscotch, and Fluttershy were happily chatting in the cottage's kitchen. They were both rekindling with a nice cup of hot chocolate. "So? How was your trip?" Fluttershy asked before taking a sip of her beverage. "It was fine. I made some friends with some mice on the train. I played with them, gave them part of my lunch, and read them a story to help them sleep. Then, the nice conductor asked me to get off the train. Now, I'm here." He shrugged. "Sounded like a real adventure. Well, I'm just so happy you've arrived. I can't wait to introduce you to my friends. I think you'll really like them." "I'm sure I will. Um...out of curiosity...does one of them have rainbow colored hair...?" This question would cause Fluttershy to blink twice. "That sounds like Rainbow Dash...was it a boy, or a girl? Because, I know a boy named Blitz who also has rainbow hair." She tilted her head. "Um...Rainbow Dash, I suppose. She was definitely female." He stated matter-of-factly. "Oh. Was she nice? How did you two meet?" The twin sister asked curiously. Butterscotch would blush his regular light shade of pink. "Um...well...I kind of...ran into her...? B-By accident, of course." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh, my gosh. You two didn't get hurt, did you?" She asked with a bit of concern. "I don't think so. She seemed pretty...tough..." "Yeah. That is one of her many qualities." Fluttershy smiled, relieved that they were okay. "So, if you don't mind me asking, what did you two talk about?" She folded her hands before resting her chin on them. "Oh, she just asked me general questions, she seemed surprised that I was your twin, and she called me a 'big boy' when she said I owed her for not flying here..." He blinked twice, as did Fluttershy. "...should I be worried...?" He asked, a bit scared. "Um...I probably wouldn't worry about it. It might just mean that she likes you. She likes to joke around with us, a lot. Sometimes, she occasionally pulls pranks. I think it's just her way of showing affection." She giggled. "Oh, really? Well, I hope we'll be good friends, then." He smiled before pausing a moment. "Um...are her pranks dangerous...?" ________________________________________________________________________________________ The next morning, Rainbow Dash strutted into the kitchen, wearing a green T-shirt, dark purple jeans, and her usual worn out sneakers. "What's for break, Fast?" That was a nickname she would use for Blitz. The joke was funny, but the name was kind of old. "Breakfast burgers." The shirtless male replied, not turning his head from the bacon frying on the stove. "Ooh. Never heard of that recipe. What's in it?" She asked curiously. "Just sit down. They're almost done." Blitz said, pointing to the kitchen table with his spatula. The twin sister pouted before going to her usual seat, and plopping down. A few minutes later, a breakfast burger would appear on a paper plate. By the looks of it, it was two large pancakes, with a sausage patty, cheese, bacon, ham, and syrup between them. The sight made Dash's eyes water. Sure, it had to be highly fattening, but she went to the gym regularly. So, she would easily be able to work this off. "Well? You gonna eat it, or wait until it jumps in your mouth?" Blitz chuckled as he sat down across from his sister, with his own burger. "Shut up, punk!" She pouted before taking a bite of the greasy creation. Her grimace soon left, and was replaced with a bright smile. "This is freakin' good! No, scratch that. This is downright orgasmic!" She gave let out somewhat of a moan as she took another bite. Blitz chuckled from his seat. "Best compliment I've received all morning." He smiled as he took a sip of his coffee. "So, when am I supposed to give this tour?" He started eating. "I dunno. Maybe when he wakes up? Lemme give Fluttershy a call, see what the plan is." She pulled out her cyan cased phone before dialing up the pink-head. ________________________________________________________________________________________ In the living room of Fluttershy's cottage, the morning sunlight shone upon the sleeping twins on the couch. Butterscotch's chin rested upon his sister's head, while his arms were hugged around her waist. Fluttershy gently held the arms in response. Cuddling like this was always something they would do in times of stress. Of course, there wasn't really anything to be stressed about last night, so they just did it for fun. Everything was calm, and peaceful. That is, until a faint buzzing noise woke Fluttershy up. Her phone was ringing on the arm rest of the couch. She yawned, and brought it to her ear. "H-Hello...?" She said as she rubbed her tired eye. "Mornin', Shy. How are ya?" Rainbow asked casually. "Oh, I'm fine, Rainbow Dash. What can I do for you?" She asked after laying her head back down. "I just had a question. Has Butterscotch seen the town, yet?" "Um, not that I know of. Why?" She blinked twice. "Because, I was thinking that we'd arrange a little tour for him, just to help him get a feel for it. What do you say?" She took a sip of her milk. "Well, who's going to give the tour? I'd do it, but I have to take the animals for walks in the park." She glanced at her sleeping brother who was snoring softly. She smiled at the adorable sight. "Got that covered. Blitz is gonna show him around." She noogied the male twin with her free hand. "Blitz? Oh, that's nice of him to offer." Fluttershy twirled a lock of her hair. "Yeah, he's a real sweetheart." Rainbow smirked. Blitz was about to punch the lights out of his sister, but was stopped by a quick kiss on the cheek. That only made him sit back in his seat and grumble. "So, what time should we meet them up?" "Um..." She stared at Butterscotch, wanting to let him sleep for just a little while longer. "How does an hour sound?" "An hour? Sounds good. We'll meet'cha in Town Square. See ya, Flutters." She hung up her phone before giving a thumbs up to Blitz. Meanwhile, Fluttershy set her snooze button for thirty minuted before setting it aside. All she wanted was to stay cuddled for a little while longer. -THIRTY MINUTES LATER- "S-So...you're not coming...?" Butterscotch asked, wearing a white sweater vest, a yellow undershirt, brown jeans, and his usual sandals. Fluttershy was dressed in almost the exact same outfit. Except, she wore a long brown skirt, instead. "I'm afraid I can't, Butters. I need to tend to the animals. I'm sorry." She gave an apologetic smile. "B-But, I haven't even seen the town, yet. What if I get lost? W-What if I get mugged? I'm very muggable, you know this!" He said in a panic. "Butterscotch." She placed two hands on his shoulders. "It's okay. You're going to be fine. Rainbow Blitz will be with you, all day. Trust me. He's very loyal. He won't let anybody hurt you...okay?" She smiled. "Okay..." Butterscotch nodded. "Good. Now, he said to meet him in Town Square. I'll walk you down there." Fluttershy offered before opening the door, allowing Butterscotch to exit. "Thank you, Sis." Butterscotch smiled as he exited the cottage. Once he was out, Fluttershy would pull out her phone, reading a text message from Pinkie Pie. "GETTIN THINGS READY 4 UR BRO~!" "Thanx. <3" Fluttershy texted before stepping out, and closing the door behind her. ________________________________________________________________________________________ "It hasn't been that stinky in awhile." Butterscotch said before giggling with his sister. "Very funny story." She smiled as she caught sight of a rainbow maned male sitting on the edge of the fountain. He was wearing a red leather jacket, blue skinny jeans, and white sneakers that looked huge for his foot size. Fluttershy immediately recognized him as Rainbow Blitz. "Oh, there he is." She offered a small wave to the jock, to which he replied with a nod, particularly to Butterscotch. He didn't know if he could trust this guy, yet. "Hey, Flutters. So, this is your brother, eh?" Blitz asked as he walked towards the two. "Mm-hmm. Meet Butterscotch." She smiled while motioning to her nervous twin. "Whaddup?" The rainbow haired male would hold a fist out, in order to give the pink head a fistbump. At first, Butterscotch thought for sure he would get punched, but he was soon relieved when he understood that it was one of those modern high fives. He slowly brought his shaky fist forward before gently pressing it against Blitz's. "Well, I have to be off. Duty calls. Love you, boys." She gave them both a kiss on the forehead, much like how a mother would. Blitz wiped off Fluttershy's lip gloss before turning to Butterscotch once more. "Well, guess I'm supposed to show you around, huh?" He folded his arms and looked the other male up and down. "Um...y-yes, please..." Scotch said shakily. 'Jesus! This guy's actin' like I'm about to slug him. He'd better not be a pussy the entire time.' Blitz rolled his eyes. "Alright, big boy. Let's go." The jock stuffed his hands in his pockets before turning on his heels, and starting to walk. Butterscotch would follow close behind. ________________________________________________________________________________________ "So, in other words...don't go there, unless you have lots of cash. 'Cause, they won't do stuff to ya for free." Blitz warned after passing the local night club. Him and Butterscotch spent the entire day going to the good hot spots in town. They visited the Marketplace, Twilight Sparkle's Library, Rarity's Boutique, Sweet Apple Acres, and the Café, where they stopped for lunch. All in all, Blitz discovered that this new guy wasn't so bad. Sure, he was a shy guy, but he was actually pretty cool. Maybe they would turn out to be best buds once school started. "So...Rainbow Dash mentioned something about the college here...'EA' was it?" Butterscotch asked. "Oh, yeah! 'EA'. Equestria Academy. Yeah, unfortunately. A freshmen like me ain't allowed to give tours inside. So, you're gonna have to wait 'till tomorrow. You'll get your class schedule, your locker combo, and all sorts of other junk. You'll be fine." He gave the taller male a pat on the back. "And, we still have one more stop." "Where are we going?" He blinked twice. "Right here." He pointed to Sugarcube Corner, just a few feet in front of them. "Whoa...is that a gingerbread house...?" Butterscotch asked in awe. Blitz chuckled. "Nah. It was just made to look like that. C'mon. Let's get a treat." Blitz said before walking up to the door, and opening it. Butterscotch could clearly see that it was pitch black in there. "Um..." He was about to say something, but Blitz had already walked inside. The pink head gulped. He didn't know what was in there. What if there was a witch that liked to cook up students? Well, the last thing he wanted was to be alone. So, he followed the rainbow haired male inside. Soon enough, he would be met with a surprise. "SURPRISE!" A crowd shouted. Butterscotch gasped before fainting, falling on his back against the hardwood floor. A curly, pink haired girl would emerge from the crowd, blinking twice. "Huh. I knew the surprise would take his breath away!" Pinkie Pie giggled. > Welcome Party > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Butterscotch started to slowly drift back to consciousness, he heard faint voices. One of them seemed to be a female, southern accent, while another sounded a bit like a posh, British accent. Once his eyes started to flicker open, all he could see were blurry shadows under very bright lights. Once his vision started to clear up, the only thing that was basically in front of him, was a chest, particularly of a female's. It was a light blue T-shirt, and there was a bit of cleavage. "He's awake!" The bubbly voice called out. Once Butterscotch looked up, he could see that the source of the voice was a girl. By the looks of it, she had pink hair that seemed to curl in all places. He blushed lightly. He realized that he had been staring at her chest, considering that it was right in front of his face. "You okay, Scotchie? That was a real fall you took." Pinkie stated, looking down at him. She didn't even realize the fact that the shy male was glancing at her own boobs. "Um...I-I'm fine. L-Luckily I landed on something soft." He said with a bit of relief. "Not something, someone, ya goof." Another voice chuckled. Butterscotch blinked twice, recognizing the voice. No...it couldn't be. He looked up more to see Rainbow Dash towering over him. Apparently, his head had been resting on her own lap. His eyes widened, as his blush deepened. "How ya doin'?" She asked casually. "Uh...um...g-good...uh...what's happening, exactly...?" He asked with a bit of hesitation. Rainbow was about to answer, but the bright voice of Pinkie interrupted her. "Your welcome party, silly!" She giggled. "Since Fluttershy told me about your arrival, I took it upon myself to throw you a small party!" 'Small party? There has to be at least one hundred people here...' Butterscotch blinked twice. "And, now! Since you're awake, you can enjoy it! The question is...are you ready?!" She asked excitedly, their noses almost touching. "No." "Great! Follow me!" She grabbed the boy's hand, and pulled him off Rainbow Dash, before zooming off through the crowd. Part of Rainbow was a bit depressed that Butterscotch's head was off her lap. It couldn't be that she was...enjoying it, could it? Rainbow shook her head. Of course not. She just enjoyed the warmth, is all. As Pinkie pulled Scotch through the crowd, they met up with a few of her friends. One had straight, dark blue hair, which had a purple and pink stripe running through it. Her attire consisted of a purple sweater vest, white undershirt, and light pink short-skirt. "This is Twilight Sparkle!" "It's very nice to meet you." The female smiled and gave a small nod, before holding her hand out, offering to shake his. Butterscotch just stood there, being a fleshy statue. "Uh...I-I...I..." He managed to utter. "Silly! You're supposed to shake! Like this." Pinkie smiled and took both Butterscotch, and Twilight's hands, and connected them together. This managed to get a light blush out of the both of them. After a few moments of staring at eachother, they both shook. Talk about awkward. "Quite a charming boy, I must say." An elegant voice stated. Butterscotch turned his head to glance at another female. She appeared to be sporting long, purple hair, which seemed to end with quite the amount of curls. Her outfit was a plain white collared shirt, accompanied by a long black skirt, with red high heels. "How do you do? I am Rarity." She bowed her head. Butterscotch just stood there, his sheepish smile never leaving as he offered a small wave. "Awful shy, ain't he?" A southern voice asked. The last female was taller than the others, about Butterscotch's height. She wore a brown stetson atop her blonde hair, which ended in a pony tail. Along with her flannel shirt, she wore blue jeans, with both the pant-legs rolled up to her thighs. Along with brown, cowboy boots. "I think it's rather adorable. Be nice, Applejack." Rarity said as she looked up at the farmer. "Relax, Rares. Ah'm just funnin'. Howdy, there. Ah'm Applejack." She held her gloved hand out to the boy. He was actually willing enough to hold his hand out, as well. But, he was interrupted. "Oh, what am Ah doin'? Come 'ere." Applejack smiled and pulled Butterscotch into a friendly hug. He blinked twice at the gesture, wondering if this was a special greeting from her. He actually didn't mind the contact. He even went as far to bring his hand up, and gently pat the farmer's back. "And, you know me, personally." Rainbow Dash smirked as she stood beside the taller people, her arms folded. "Doesn't everybody?" Applejack joked as she released Butterscotch from her grasp. "Watch it, Blondie." The rainbow haired girl warned, which caused the other to roll her eyes. "I see you've met everybody, huh?" Fluttershy asked as she stood beside her brother, seeming to be a bit away from the group. "Mm-hmm. They seem really nice. Well...most of them." He blinked twice as he stared at the bickering Applejack, and Rainbow. "That's okay. They don't argue all the time." The sister assured with a small smile, seeing the two athletes make up with a handshake. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Butterscotch panted softly as he sat down in one of the empty corner booths. The party had started to settle down a little. Thank goodness. If Butterscotch had to bust one more move, he would have collapsed. He rested his head down on the surface of the table, breathing softly. Then, all of a sudden, he heard a slam on the table. He gasped and brought his head up, before glancing down at the mug of root beer sitting in front of him. "Need a drink?" A familiar voice asked. Butterscotch looked up to see Rainbow Blitz standing there, holding a mug of his own. He sat down across from the timid male before taking a sip. Not seeming to care if Butterscotch minded. "Um...thank you." He said before picking up the mug with both hands, and taking a small sip. "No probs. So, how are you liking your welcome party, so far?" He asked, leaning back in his seat. "I...I love it. You guys really shouldn't have." He said sheepishly. "Well, Pinkie was in charge of the whole thing. She must've known you were coming." He shrugged before gulping down more of his beverage. "Hm." He paused before glancing once more at the crowd. Most of them had left the party, so the room opened up a bit more. He glanced over at the familiar faces he had met earlier, including Rainbow Dash. She had her back leaned against the wall. Her hands were stuffed in her hoodie pockets, and she seemed to be in a secluded area. "Looks lonely, doesn't she?" Blitz asked before taking another sip of root beer. "Huh?" Butterscotch blinked twice. "Dash. All alone in the corner?" He specified. "Oh. Um...yes, I suppose." "Well? Arent'cha gonna ask her to dance?" He smirked, which made Butterscotch's eyes widen. "W-What?" "You heard me, big boy. Just walk over there, and offer to slow dance with her." He explained. Since there was casual, slow music playing, it made sense. "Um...I-I don't know...she doesn't look like she would be into it..." He glanced at Dash once more. "I'll tell you what she's not into. Being alone. At the school dances, nobody asks her. Like, literally. No one. But, hey. It's your choice, Scotch." He shrugged before picking up his empty mug, and carrying it to the back room. Butterscotch took a moment to think about his decision. Was he actually brave enough to attempt it? He often had trouble asking women to dance with him, back in high school. But, the story was a bit sad. After Dash was being so kind to him, it was the least he could do. He took a deep breath before standing up, and making his way over to the tom boy. "H-Hi..." He greeted, causing Rainbow Dash to look up. "Oh! Hey, you! What's up?" She smiled, seeming to perk right up when Butterscotch was in front of her. "Um, n-nothing much...um...w-would you..." He tried to start. "Hm? Would I what?" She tilted her head. "Uh..." He gulped. "W-Would you...um...l-like to...dance...?" He asked nervously. Rainbow blinked twice, and paused for a moment. "Yeah, sure. Let's go." She took the male's hand before pulling him towards the dance floor. Butterscotch blushed deeply, and followed. Part of him was cheering in his mind, though he didn't know why.
