As soon as the doors opened, a lone white mare stepped off onto the platform. She raised her forelegs into the air and yelled, “I’ve finally arrived!” Everyone on the platform looked at her with a concerned glance, as though they were looking at a crazy pony. Her bright yellow eyes stared out at the town filled with hope and excitement at the possibilities to come. With a gleeful giggle, the mare ran off the platform. Her pink twintails bounced as she trotting towards the unsuspecting town. As she entered the market, she looked upon the humdrum activities of the ponies with awe. Her attention was so caught up in the hustle and bustle around her, she bumped into somepony while walking. none other than Twilight Sparkle. The alicorn princess rubbed her head once she caught her balance. “Are you okay?” The mare asked Twilight. “I’m fine…” Twilight looked at the pony, realizing she looked nothing like the ponies in town. She was a batpony for one, and her eyes were golden yellow. She was also wearing a white nurse's outfit for some reason. Twilight rolled her eyes, praying she hadn’t just bumped into another terribly dull, self-important type that seemed to be infesting Ponyville as of late. “And who might you be?” she asked, trying to remain polite. “My name is Ebola!” The mare said with a large grin. “But everyone calls me Ebola-chan!” “Ebola-chan?” Twilight asked, raising an eyebrow. “I don’t know why.” She shook her head, causing her twintails to shake violently. Twilight stared at her for a moment, taking in the pony before her. Just than she noticed something strange resting in the pony’s saddlebag. “Is that a skull!?” Twilight asked, horrified. “Oh?” She turned, and pulled the pony skull out from her saddlebag. “This? Oh! This is Skully! He’s been with me since my journey through Africa, visiting all the people there.” “People?” “Or ponies.” She shrugged. Twilight stared at her blankly for a moment. “R-right…” She took a step back away from this weird pony. “I think I need to leave now…” She laughed nervously. Ebola-chan placed her hoof on Twilight's shoulder before she could leave. “Oh, would you mind showing me around town?” Ebola-chan asked, eagerly. “Umm…” Twilight looked behind her, trying to find a way out. When she turned around, Ebola-chan was face to face with her, beaming eyes. “I-I suppose…” Twilight said reluctantly. “Yay! Let’s go!” She grabbed ahold of Twilight, and ran off in a random direction. Twilight and Ebola-chan stumbled upon Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash on the outskirts of Ponyville. As soon as Rainbow Dash saw Ebola-chan, she pointed her hoof at her and yelled. “Race!” Ebola-chan tilted her head and said, “Okay!” Before they knew it, they were lined up for a race for seemingly no reason. “Why are they racing?” Twilight asked Fluttershy. “Rainbow Dash wants to race somepony, and that other pony has wings…and is new…I don’t really understand it myself, but I think she feels a need to race anypony that has wings to prove she’s faster than them…Speaking of which, what’s her name again?” “Her name is Ebola…but apparently everyone calls her Ebola-chan…” Fluttershy looked over at the two getting ready to race. “Good luck, Ebola-chan…” Fluttershy cheered softly. “Hey!” Rainbow Dash glared. “What?” Twilight asked. “Just start the race!” “Three, two, one, go…” Twilight said unceremoniously. Rainbow Dash and Ebola-chan both flapped their wings and took off. The batpony took an early lead, smiling the whole time as she passed Rainbow Dash. The pegasus’s jaw clenched, but she paced herself. To make this interesting, she was biding her time until the end of the race. As the two passed over Ponyville, Ebola-chan’s wing, brushed her saddlebag. The skull inside her bag flew backward, hitting Rainbow Dash in the face. “Skully!” she yelled. Immediately Ebola-chan pulled a u-turn. She charged after her skull friend as fast as her little batwings would carry her. Her nurse hat fell off as she flew. She passed her skull, and rolled onto her back to catch it. The skull missed her hooves and hit her head. The teeth of the skull left a small gash on her forehead, bleeding profusely. She wrapped her forelegs around Skully before charging back up after Dash. As she flew, her dripping blood rained down onto Ponyville. Miraculously, the only drops to hit ponies fell upon a group of misfits: a black alicorn with a bright red mane, a black batpony with a scar over its eye, and a pony with a huge sword strapped to its back wearing a black hood and cloak. As soon as the blood touched them, they started bleeding from their eyes, and shortly fell over dead. Rainbow Dash passed the finish line first, jumping for joy. Ebola-chan came following behind, holding her friend in her forelegs. As soon as she touched down, she noticed Rainbow Dash rubbing her forehead. “Oh, are you alright?” “Me? You’re bleeding!” Dash pointed out. “Oh, don’t worry about it. It happens a lot.” She giggled. “So, is anypony going to mentioned those ponies that died as soon as Ebola-chan’s blood touched them?” Fluttershy asked a little worried. “No pony cares, they were jerks anyway.” Dash rolled her eyes. “Yeah, I’m happy to be rid of them.” Twilight sighed a breath of relief. Rainbow Dash turned to the batpony she had just raced. “So, Ebola-chan, how long are you staying in Ponyville?” The pony smiled. “Not long. I have other places to visit. So many other people to meet!” “People?” “It was fun racing with you, Rainbow Dash,” Ebola-chan said happily before extending a hoof. Rainbow Dash stared at it for a moment, noticing the pony’s blood all over her hoof, but still shook it anyway. “Good bye, everyone. It was so much fun to meet you!” Ebola-chan extended her wings and flew off into the non-setting sun.
