Chapter 1: The Encounter

View Online

It was a peaceful day in Ponyville, the birds were singing, ponies off doing there morning routine and a familiar butter-yellow Pegasus taking care of her animal friends.

Fluttershy, the yellow Pegasus, was out filling up the bird feeders and other pet bowls. She was just about to wake up Harry, until Fluttershy heard something.

She heard a frantic call from one of her bird friends.

Fluttershy turned her head toward the bird calling, seeing a frantic-looking Robin flying strait towards her.

"Oh, hello Mr. Robin. Are you alright?" Fluttershy asked the tiny bird.

Of course anyone would just hear annoying chirping out of that birds beak, but Fluttershy understood everything.

"So you're saying there's a weird creature crying in the forest?" Fluttershy asked.

A nod from the Robin.

"And are you sure it's not a foal?" She asked another.

And again, a quick nod.

"Do you think, maybe, you can escort me to this 'creature'?" Fluttershy asked.

And you guessed right, another nod.

The bird then started flying through the Everfree, the yellow mare following close behind.

As they continued deeper into the forest, the duo ignored any sound or movement around them, only focusing on seeing this unknown creature. And as they went farther, Fluttershy started to hear crying. Fluttershy now followed the sound of the crying then the Robin, not noticing Mr. Robin landing on a branch, not even thinking of getting closer to the creature.

When the crying was at its loudest, Fluttershy started flying around, looking everywhere for the source of the sound. When she finally did, it was coming from an oddly-shaped basket. Of course, when she found this strange basket, the crying stopped, now only small whimpers coming from underneath the quilt the creature was under.

At first, Fluttershy was going to find her other friends, but she realized that she couldn't leave this creature alone in this forest, especially this forest!

Fluttershy then, being as quick as she could, undraped the creature, seeing something truly unknown.

The creature before her was unlike anything she ever seen. It looked like a baby Minotaur, only it was hairless except atop its head and its muzzle was more squished into its face. It was wearing what looked like a one piece pastel pink nighty with a diaper inside the tiny outfit. It also had the same hands as a Minotaur, only it had five fingers instead of four. Its nails seemed stubby, making this creature unfit to be any danger to anypony.

Its eyes were closed at the time, but when they opened, it showed that it had two-toned eyes. One being brown and the other being blue. And when it looked right up at Fluttershy, the creature started giggling and reaching its hands out.

When this cute action happened, Fluttershy's motherly instincts overtook her, resulting in her picking up the unknown creature with one of her fore-hoofs. The creature then made a sound of enjoyment, the creature now messing with Fluttershy's mane.

"O-oh, my..." Fluttershy mumbled. 'Wha-what is this creature? I've never seen anything like it. But whatever it is, it's just a newborn. A baby!'

Fluttershy then started calling out, to see whatever this is' mother is somewhere out there, if its mother accidentally left it behind. With no reply, she started examining the strange basket. Inside, she saw a baby bottle, a pacifier, some sort of rattle, and a tiny piece of paper.

Fluttershy got closer to the paper, seeing something written on it. It just said 'To a Good Home' in script.

'Wa-A Good Home!? Di-did this creature's mother left it to fend for itself? What kind of heartless creature would-' But before Fluttershy could say anything else, the creature let out a cute yawn, making Fluttershy look down to see the creature snuggling towards her chest.

'You know what? I'm gonna raise this creature and be a better mother than the one who just abandoned this poor creature!' Fluttershy then grabbed the basket with her wings and started walking back to her Cottage, Mr. Robin following behind the mare.

~

When Fluttershy arrived to her Cottage, all the animals eyes were on her and the creature. All at once, there expression changed from neutral to curious.

"Now, now, everyone. I was just following Mr. Robin to this odd creature he was talking about and found this." She explained. "I'm not sure what it is, but I want you to treat it with the same respect as you do towards me. Am I clear?"

She got an array of animal sounds in response.

Fluttershy then walked by the animals, they're curious expression never leaving from the strange creature. When Fluttershy closed the door behind her, the creature then started crying.

"O-oh, dear! Do-don't cry! I-I-huh?!" Fluttershy looked down to see the creature changing, it slowly started growing tiny fangs and fur started covering the creatures face and hands, it's hands changing into paws. Fluttershy also noticed that it now had wolf ears instead.

She too distracted from the transformation that she didn't realize the creature was still crying. "OH! Um-Are you hungry?" Fluttershy asked, the response being more crying.

Fluttershy quickly placed the basket on the couch and the crying creature in it. Fluttershy then grabbed the bottle from the basket, going to the kitchen and grabbing some milk. She franticly heated up the milk, making sure it wasn't too hot and then picked up the creature and placed it in it's mouth, interrupting the crying and now hearing tiny gulps from the creature.

As she fed the creature, it's form changed back to whatever it was from the beginning.

"You truly are something special." Fluttershy said out loud.

"Who's truly special?" Another voice says from behind.

"Eep!" Fluttershy turned around just in time to see somepony she didn't expect- or more like someponies.

It was her four closest friends in town, however, before she could explain herself one of them exclaimed in horror,

"WHAT IS THAT!?"

Chapter 2: The Creature

"WHAT IS THAT!?" Rainbow Dash, a blue colored Pegasus shouted, making the creature start crying once more.

But as Fluttershy tried to stop the creature's cries, it was joined by more questions from her friends.

"Why do you have a thing like that?"

"Is it dangerous?"

"Where did you get it?"

"Does it like parties?"

"Why is it changing!?"

"We need to get rid of it!"

At that Fluttershy snapped.

"ENOUGH!" That made everypony quiet, even the creature itself.

"Just stop it!" She continued. "I know this creature seems a bit... odd. But it's just a baby."

Everypony now looked a bit interested.

"I found it in the Everfree in a basket with a letter. It only said 'To a Good Home'. Can't you see, it's an orphan."

Everypony let out a small gasp at that.

"Again, I know it looks a bit strange, but does it look dangerous?" Fluttershy brought the creature closer, everyone now seeing it's innocent face.

"Well," Rarity, a white unicorn mare, said. "It does look too young to cause any harm, and it's probably too weak to do any by the looks of it's... things." Rarity pointed one of her hooves at the creatures hands, resulting in the creature grabbing it and snuggling it.

"Oh! Who am ah kiddin'!" Applejack, an orange coated earth pony, shouted. "This thing won't even' hurt a fly!"

Pinkie Pie, the pink earth pony, nodded at that. "Yeah! And she's a real cutie!" Pinkie was in front of the creature, making silly faces to make it laugh.

"Wait, she?" Rainbow Dash questioned. "How do you know it's a she?"

"Well, its eyelashes are more around the female variety and its mane is super silky, like a little filly's." Pinkie explained.

"Well, let's not assume that." Rarity said. "Maybe later on Fluttershy can see if it's a she or a he."

"Anyways," Rainbow spoke out. "Why did it do... that?" Rainbow asked.

"Do what?" Applejack asked.

"When it changed into some wolf-thing." Rainbow said. "I never seen anything do that before."

"I'm as confused as you, Rainbow." Fluttershy admitted. "This is actually a first for me, but it won't make it any harder for me to handle."

"You're right about that." Rainbow mumbled.

"I'm just wondering, why are you four here in the first place?" Fluttershy asked, placing the creature in it's basket.

"My Pinkie-sense went off!" Pinkie said. "My hooves were super cold, and it only does that when somepony you unexpect come into someponies' life. The last time that happened, one of my three sisters were born."

"Yeah, what Pinkie said." Rainbow agreed. "She gathered all three of us and told us to meet at your house. But I'd never expect this." Rainbow hovered over to the creature, making the thing giggle.

But before anypony could say anything else, the creature just started crying randomly, scaring the rainbow-maned pegasus to the floor.

"What's wrong now?" Pinkie asked.

"Maybe it need ah bath!" Applejack assumed.

"Well it has been in the Everfree." Rarity said.

Fluttershy then picked up the creature, it still crying. Fluttershy then flew up the stairs, into the bathroom. She placed the creature on the floor and went to her bedroom.

She opened one of the closets, consisting of nothing but baby essentials. Why? Let's just say she's always prepared for newborn animals.

Fluttershy grabbed a fresh pair of diapers, foal powder, and foal oil. She then returned to the bathroom, but before she started the bath she flew back downstairs.

"I'm sorry but do you mind waiting?" Fluttershy asked.

All four of them shook there heads no.

"Thank you." She then returned to the bathroom, now filling up the tub with warm water.

As the tub filled up, Fluttershy placed the creature on the closed toilet, using it as a makeshift table. She gently removed the white nighty and just had a bare skinned creature with it's diaper. Fluttershy then took off the diaper, showing that the creature was female. Of course this didn't phase the shy mare, since she's been taking care of other animals since she moved to Ponyville.

Fluttershy then placed the creature in the tub, the water only reaching the thing's stomach. As Fluttershy lathered the soap with the rag, she watched as the creature started messing with the water, splashing both her and the yellow mare a little.

Fluttershy giggled at the creature's antics.

"Oh, would you like something to play with?" Fluttershy asked, only receiving a confused look from the creature, her head tilted to the side.

Fluttershy quickly grabbed a rubber ducky and placed it in the tub.

At first the creature just eyed it curiously, but then she tried to grab it with her hand, resulting in making a tiny wave moving the duck farther.

Fluttershy then pushed the toy closer with her wing. This time the creature grabbing it successfully.

As Fluttershy started bathing the creature, the creature herself examined the toy closer. The creature then pressed the toy deeper into the water, making air bubbled come out of the toy's beak. The creature then lifted the toy, feeling that the toy was now heavier. The creature then squeezed the toy, resulting in the toy shooting water at her face.

At first Fluttershy thought it would upset the creature, but she was surprised that it only made her giggle in enjoyment instead.

~

After the bath was finished, Fluttershy put on a new diaper on the creature, and placed the nighty back on.

When she finally returned downstairs, she saw that everypony was still there.

"Sorry if the bath was a bit long." Fluttershy spoke.

"Oh it was no bother to anypony here." Rarity said.

"Hey! Hey Fluttershy?" Pinkie called out.

"Y-yes?" Fluttershy said.

"What's her name, huh?" Pinkie asked.

"Her n-name?" Fluttershy asked. She knew that this creature didn't have a name; not that she knows, but she wasn't sure of what to name her. Of course it was suppose to be a mare's name, but it had to be unique for her.

"Yah, what's it's name?" Rainbow asked next.

"Are ya gunna give it a name?" Applejack asked.

"Why of course she's gonna give her a name! She found her." Pinkie said.

"W-well, how about Shy?" Fluttershy asked.

"Nah! It's too close to your name." Rainbow said.

"How about a name from somewhere else?" Rarity asked. "Some ponies have very odd names."

"Oh! I know!" Fluttershy said. "How about..."

Chapter 3: The Cutest Play Date EVER!

View Online

It has been one week since that day and all of Fluttershy's friends treat Yemei like any mare would to a filly.

Who's Yemei you say? Well that's the creature's name; Yemei!

At first the other four were confused on why Fluttershy choose that name, but all the shy mare could say is that the name just came to her, and never left her mind, as if the creature was meant to be named that. Nopony knew what the name meant, but they just accepted it.

Anyways! Throughout this whole week, the five have been taking care of Yemei, while also learning new things from her. It seems that when Yemei is cranky or upset, she shifts to some sort of wolf, at first they never looked into it, but this got Fluttershy nervous. The yellow mare thinking that the poor creature was cursed by somepony, but with no answer to this problem, she decided to go with it. For all she knew, maybe this is what Yemei's kind does. They also noticed that when Yemei changes, her fur is a natural brown.

Also in one of the weeks, Rarity made Yemei new clothes, all of them in different colors and designs. And Rarity even made a little tail hole just in case Yemei changes again.

And Fluttershy also noticed something else, it seems like Yemei could understand her animal friends on a whole new level. She realized this when some of the animals were actually taking care of Yemei when the yellow mare wasn't around, one day seeing that Harry's mother was cradling the creature like she was her own cub.

After that one week past, the four mares just accepted the unknown creature's questionable abilities.

Now! Back to the present!

~

Today was a normal day for Fluttershy and Yemei. Yemei was busy inside the house chasing some of the mice and squirrels, of course the little animals knowing and playing with the unknown creature, and Fluttershy was outside feeding the outdoor animals.

The yellow mare was about to refill one of the bird feeders until she noticed her orange earth pony friend come towards her, with a not-so-familiar foal strapped to her side.

"Oh. Hello Applejack. How are you?" Fluttershy greeted.

"Well howdy there, Flutters. Ah'm fine thank you." Applejack responded.

Fluttershy was about to ask her why she's here, until they heard some whining from the tiny foal strapped on the farm pony.

"Shh, shh. It's alright, we're just at Shy's house. Don't cry." Applejack cooed, lightly bouncing and placing one of her hooves on the little filly, calming the foal down.

"Um, Applejack? Who's that?" Fluttershy asked, flying down to the ground and placing the bag of bird feed next to her.

"Oh. Ah'm sorry Flutt's. Ah forgot to tell ya 'bout 'lil Apple Bloom." Applejack said, taking the little filly off her carrier and placing her in front of the two. "This is Apple Bloom. Ain't she a cutie?"

Fluttershy didn't respond, but took a closer look at the young foal. She noticed that the filly had a yellow coat with a bright red mane and the filly's eye color was orange. She also noticed that she had a rather large accessory atop of her head, it being a pink bow.

"Oh, she's so cute, but, why did you bring her here?" Fluttershy asked.

"Perhaps I could answer that, darling." Another voice responded. The two mares looked to see Rarity trotting over to where they were standing, Fluttershy also noticed a young foal strapped to Rarity's side.

"Um, who's that Rarity?" Fluttershy asked towards the white mare.

"Oh, this is young Sweetie Belle." Rarity said, placing the filly right next to Apple Bloom, the two just looked at each other, like they we're testing if either were friend or foe.

Fluttershy looked at the new foal, seeing that Sweetie Belle was a white unicorn just like Rarity, but her mane and tail was curly in the front and it was two-toned, the two colors being a light pink and purple. The filly's eyes were a light green.

"If you're wondering why we brought the two is cause we were thinking if maybe Yemei would like some friends around her age group." Rarity said.

"So, like a play date?" Fluttershy assumed.

"Absolutely! And not being mean, but Yemei can't have animal friends only, she needs to befriend other ponies, even if she isn't a pony exactly." Rarity explained.

"Well, that makes-" But before Fluttershy could finish her sentence, Applejack interrupted her.

"Ya know, speakin' of Yemei. Ah think ah know what she is." The farm mare spoke.

"Really? How?" Rarity asked, interest in her tone.

"Ah remember meetin' this crazy unicorn mare named Lyra and she was goin' on 'bout some weird creature called a Human." Applejack responded.

"hyoo-muh n?" Rarity tried to say.

"Nah, nah, human. H-U-M-A-N." Applejack corrected her.

"Oh, sorry. So a human is what you think Yemei is?" Rarity asked.

"Yeah, when she explained what a human looks like, it seemed like the spitting image of Yemei." Applejack said.

"Um, did she say anything about humans changing?" Fluttershy asked.

"Sorry, but I didn't really 'asked' her. I more along the lines overheard her conversation with another mare named Bon-Bon." Applejack admitted.

"Oh, well that's fine, then." Rarity said. She was about to say something else, until she felt the touch of a tiny hoof, she looked down to see Sweetie Belle tapping the mares leg.

"I think we should take this conversation inside. Sweetie Belle seems a bit antsy." Rarity said, lifting the white filly with her magic and placing her back in the carrier.

While Applejack was doing the same(with her teeth carrying Apple Bloom), Fluttershy went back to filling the last feeder and quickly putting it back into storage.

When Fluttershy was finished, she opened the front door, being greeted with one of the cutest sight she ever saw.

Yemei was on the living room rug, with baby Angel, copying what the white rabbit was doing, Yemei covering her eyes the same time Angel did.

"Aww." The three mares said in unison, accidentally stopping the game they were playing.

Angel hopped over to his owner and nuzzled her hoof.

"Why hello little Angel. I see that you're having fun with Yemei." Fluttershy said, getting a nod from the tiny bunny. The bunny then scampered off, not without a tiny wave to Yemei, making the now-called human giggle.

"Ah see that somepony got's a favorite." Applejack commented.

"Oh, yes. Those two are the best of friends. Angel was actually the first to befriend Yemei." Fluttershy explained.

"Aww, that's so sweet." Rarity said.

"Hello Yemei!" Fluttershy greeted, making the human smile. "I have a very special surprise for you."

That got a confused look from the human.

"Their two special guest. I'd like to introduce Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle." When Fluttershy said their names, their older sibling placed them on the rug Yemei was sitting on.

The three mares watched as the three young ones eyed each other, not making a move. Rarity then moved the two foals closer with her magic after what felt like five minutes of starring.

As the duo got closer, Sweetie Belle started to tear up, but not cry, while Apple Bloom was showing an emotionless look towards Yemei. Yemei was actually backing up a bit, she looked up at Fluttershy, seeing her warm smile.

When the two fillies were close enough, Rarity cancelled her magic, making the duo lose their balance a bit before sitting back on their rumps.

Yemei watched as Sweetie Belle continued fidgeting where she was sitting. Yemei then crawled closer to the two.

Yemei got close enough to touch their tiny hooves. Yemei reached to Sweetie Belle, but the white filly backed up, making Yemei retract her hand back. She then looked at Apple Bloom, her standing on all four of her hooves.

Surprisingly, the yellow earth pony started walking towards Yemei. She was close enough to see that Yemei was at the same height as her. And then the yellow filly then started touching Yemei's nighty, feeling it's soft fabric.

Yemei stayed in placed at the little filly touched her, she watched as Apple Bloom looked at Sweetie Belle. Yemei turned just in time to see Sweetie Belle walking up to the two, now a look of curiosity than fear. When Sweetie was close enough, she too started touching Yemei.

Meanwhile, the two older sisters were watching the whole thing.

"Well, that was...interesting." Rarity commented.

"Ah guess Apple Bloom is a brave lil' foal." Applejack said.

They continued watching as Yemei started petting them, the two foals smiling at the feeling.

"Would anypony like some tea?" Fluttershy randomly said, making the two mares look over to see that Fluttershy was emerging from the kitchen without anypony noticing.

"Why thank you Fluttershy, I would love some." Rarity said, levitating a cup towards her muzzle, taking a light sip.

Applejack also took a cup, downing it and ignoring the slight burn on her tongue.

"Why don't we leave the three to themselves while we continue on this 'human' conversation." Fluttershy insisted.

"Yes, let's continue in the kitchen." Rarity agreed.

The three then left the young ones to themselves, the trio now eyeing a certain part of the rug that left a bump.

~Later into the Day~

As the three mares were still conversing about Yemei, now being labeled the human, the three babies were still in the living room, playing with each other.

Yemei was playing with her rattle, hypnotizing the two foals that were unknown to what this strange device was.

Of course, Yemei was too into shaking the rattle that she accidentally hit Sweetie Belle on the head. When the pain came to the white foal, she burst into tears. Yemei stopped her raddling, and placed the raddle on the ground, she then crawled closer to the crying filly, and hugged her. Sweetie was so stunned that she instantly stopped crying. Apple Bloom then joined the hug later on.

When Yemei stopped hugging Sweetie Belle, she showed the raddle to Sweetie Belle, as an apology gift. Sweetie tried to grab it, but the raddle fell within her grip. At first Yemei thought she was gonna cry again, but surprisingly, Sweetie Belle scrunched her muzzle in concentration, and levitated the rattle in a light green aura.

The trio then giggled with joy as Sweetie Belle shook the rattle, the filly shaking it faster the happier she became.

The three were so into their play time that they didn't see the much bigger mares come over.

"Oooh. Your such a sweetheart." Rarity cooed, slightly hugging Yemei from behind.

"Ah'm sorry girls, but it's time for us to get goin'." Applejack then picked up Apple Bloom from behind, placing the yellow foal to her carrier; Rarity doing the same.

At first Sweetie Belle was about to leave with Yemei's rattle, until Rarity took it from her magical grip from her. Rarity brought it to Yemei. Yemei accepted it, but she started crawling towards the mare, and brought the rattle back to Sweetie Belle.

"Aww. Your so generous, Yemei." Rarity said. She gave a light kiss atop the human's head, then followed the farm pony out the door.

"You really are something special." Fluttershy said, petting Yemei's head. "And don't worry about not seeing them again, they'll come once every week, just for you." Fluttershy then nuzzled Yemei's cheek, before picking her up.

"Now it's bath time!" Fluttershy cheered, making the tiny human giggle with glee.

Chapter 4: The New Pony

View Online

It has been six years since the encounter with Yemei and the little human was still kept a secret. None of the five knew why they had to keep Yemei a secret, but nopony knew how the ruler of Equestria will react to seeing the only known human on the face of Equis.

As Yemei grew to be a sweet girl, the five mares learned a lot of things from the little girl.

One of the things they figured out was that Yemei's kind walks on two legs. At first Fluttershy thought Yemei hurt herself, but once she figured out that it was natural for Yemei, the yellow mare got used to it over time. They also figured out that Yemei needed clothes since her bare skin wouldn't protect her from the harsh weather. Thanks to Rarity, Fluttershy had no problem with finding clothes that fit the young human. Another thing they realized was that humans were omnivores. In the beginning, Fluttershy tried to make her a vegetarian, but then Yemei wasn't getting enough protein, so every once in awhile, she would feed the human a small steak (though she didn't like it at first).

The yellow mare also noticed that as the human grew, so did her wolf form. At this moment, Yemei could change into the said wolf at her own will. At that, Fluttershy could bring Yemei along in her wolf form. At the start of it, most ponies gave questioning glares at the duo, but when they realized that the shy pegasus was an animal caretaker, it seemed almost natural seeing the two, but the catch was that Yemei couldn't speak to her mom in public.

As the years went by, Yemei's two best friends were growing up as well. Sweetie Belle moved with her parents at Hoofington, making their friendship, disappear. As for Apple Bloom, she would sometimes visit the cottage and play with Yemei, both in human and wolf form.

Fluttershy also noticed how Yemei sometimes look at the moon; seeing the pony form on the lunar sphere in the sky. Fluttershy was a bit worried about Yemei, but Rarity just explained that it's probably a phase... probably.

~

Today was the day of the Summer Sun Celebration. Everypony in Ponyville was getting ready for the special event. Fluttershy and her friends has a huge part of the Celebration itself. Rarity was in charge of the decorations, Applejack on the edible arrangements, Rainbow on the weather, and Fluttershy was in charge of the music. Surprisingly, Pinkie had no job around the huge party, but that didn't phase her.

With everypony busy with preparing for the event, nopony could keep watch of Yemei, so Fluttershy decided on brining her along, though, Fluttershy had to find a secluded place to practice with her bird friends. When she told Yemei about it, she was elated on coming with her mom instead of staying in the cottage. Sure she had Angel Bunny to play with, but that wasn't enough for the eight year old.

If your wondering how they figured out she was eight, they just used the day Fluttershy found her as her birthday date.

Anyways, back to the now!

Today, the duo woke up quite early. Yemei waking up earlier than her mom. Yemei, with her wolf form, dashed up the stairs and jumped on Fluttershy's bed, waking up the yellow mare.

"Wake up, wake up!" Yemei said, her cute little voice calling out.

"Yemei, please. No jumping on your mom." Fluttershy said.

"Oh! Sorry mom." Yemei stopped, shifting to her human self.

"It's okay, sweetie. Why don't you go make your cereal while I get myself ready." The pegasus spoke.

"Okay! I'll eat those Cap'n Scrunch." Yemei said. She then jumped off the bed, and ran out the room.

She quickly ran down the stairs and went to the kitchen. The little human noticed that her running woke up most of Fluttershy's animal friends.

"Sorry everypony!" She shouted through the house.

The little human then climbed up the counter, opening one of the shelves, seeing a red box with a brown pegasus with a pirate costume on.

"Come here you." Yemei said to nopony in particular. She grabbed the red box and jumped off the counter. She went to the dish rack and grabbed a blue bowl from the rack. She opened the box and poured the cereal neatly into the bowl. She then placed the cereal back and took out the gallon of milk from the fridge.

The carton was pretty heavy for the tiny human, but she had a firm grip on it, making sure not to drop it like last time. She then opened the cap and poured the milk into the cereal-filled bowl. Just like the cereal box, she put the milk back where she found it.

When she placed the bowl on the coffee table in the living room, her mom walked in from the mare's room.

"Hi mom. Look! I did it all on my own!" Yemei shouted.

"Oh, that's wonderful Yemei. Your growing up so fast. If you grew any more, I bet you'll be old enough to live on your own." Fluttershy praised.

All Yemei did was show a big smile.

After that, both Yemei and Fluttershy finished their food (after Fluttershy made hers). When Fluttershy finished washing the dishes, the two then got to work doing their morning chores. Of course the morning chores being to wake up the other animals, and to feed them their breakfast.

After everyone was well fed, Fluttershy and Yemei got ready to prepare their bird friends for their rehearsals. As Fluttershy gathered her animal friends, Yemei was getting dressed and was filling up her hand bag with very important items. Them being some bits, an apple, and three cookies.

When the duo were finally ready, Yemei changed to her wolf form and followed Fluttershy out the cottage and into the cobblestone streets.

It was super hard for Yemei to not talk while in public, since her young mind made so many unanswered questions that needed to be answered.

Thankfully the trip was short and they were in a small grass area. There was a small tree with many branches for their feathery friends to stand.

"Okay everyone, now we're gunna practice for a few, and see if we all got this figured out." Fluttershy explained to her birdy friends.

"Mom, what can I do?" Yemei asked, still in her wolf form.

"I need you to stay next to me while we practice. I don't want to running off, okay?" Fluttershy explained.

"Yes momma." Yemei said, sitting down right next to her.

Yemei watched as her mom started to direct the birds at the right tone. Only one bird was going all out and Fluttershy noticed, asking him to follow the rest. Yemei didn't notice two things while she listened. One being that her tail was waging, and that somepony new was coming towards the two.

"Hello!" The new pony spoke, scarring Fluttershy, Yemei, and the birds, the latter flying off. As both Yemei and Fluttershy turned to the new pony, she spoke again.

“Oh my, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to frighten your birds, I’m just here to check up on the music and it sounded beautiful.” The mare complimented as Fluttershy landed in front of her. Yemei was a bit confused on why her mom was being so shy, but then she remembered that her momma doesn't do well with new ponies.

As the silence continued, Yemei looking back and forth between the two, the mare tried to introduce herself. "I'm Twilight Sparkle."

More silence.

"What's your name?" The mare named Twilight Sparkle asked.

Yemei's mom then spoke. “Um... I’m Fluttershy.”

"I'm sorry what was that?" Twilight asked.

“Um...my name is Fluttershy.” Yemei's mom said a bit too faint that she had to focus on what her mom said.

“Didn’t quite catch that.” Twilight said.

At this point, both mare and human-turned-wolf can only hear her make a squeaking sound. After a few seconds, Yemei noticed that the birds returned, now back on the branches.

“Well, it looks like your birds are back. So I guess everything's in order, keep up the good work!” Twilight said, getting more silence from the yellow pegasus. “Oookay...” The purple unicorn then started walking away, at first eyeing Yemei, then walking up to a scaly creature that Yemei never seen before.

“Well, that was easy!” The mare spoke to the creature.

But before Yemei could question what it was, she heard her mother shout. "A Baby Dragon!" At that, she flew past Yemei, making her let out a loud "Eep!"

The new duo noticed that.

"Wait, did you hear-" The mare was then catapulted away from the creature to be replaced by Fluttershy.

"Oh, I've never seen a baby dragon before. He's sooo cute!" Fluttershy cooed. Yemei then got closer, sitting a few hoofsteps away from the two.

"Well, well, well...!" The dragon spoke, making Yemei a bit surprised. She noticed by it's tone the dragon was a boy, probably the same age as her.

"Oh my, he talks. I didn't know dragons could talk. That's just so incredibly wonderful I, I just don't even know what to say!" Fluttershy said, fluttering a bit in the air. Yemei then saw a purple aura surround the dragon, the dragon itself being levitated off the ground and onto the unicorn's back.

"Well, in that case we'd better be going." The purple mare said, starting to walk away. At first Yemei thought that her mom was gunna get back to the rehearsal for the birds, but she watched as her mom followed the mare, asking for the dragon's name.

Yemei then turned to the birds, giving them a look saying to go home. When they did, Yemei quickly caught up to the trio, hearing a bit of the conversation.

"-uttershy. Wow, a talking dragon! And what do dragons talk about?" Yemei's mom spoke.

"Well, what do you wanna know?" The dragon asked.

"Absolutely everything" Fluttershy answered, getting a groan from both Yemei and the purple mare.

Of course, Twilight noticed that. "Spike, did you hear that?"

"Huh? Whatever it was Twilight, I bet it's nothing. Now, where was I? Oh yeah!" At that Spike ignored everything to explain to Fluttershy his whole life.

~

"...and that's the story of my whole entire life! Well, up until today. Do you wanna hear about today?" The dragon now called Spike asked.

"Oh, yes, please!" Fluttershy answered quickly.

That was then the purple mare 'accidentally' turned around to face Fluttershy, making him let out a loud "Gyah!"

"I am so sorry, how did we get here so fast? This is where I'm staying while in Ponyville and my poor baby dragon needs his sleep." Twilight explained.

"No I don't-- whoa!" Twilight then made Spike fall off her back.

"Aww, wook at dat, he's so sweepy he can't even keep his widdle bawance!" Twilight explained, showing a cheesy grin and getting a grumpy dragon look from Spike.

"Poor thing, you simply must get into bed..." Fluttershy said, lifting the baby dragon and almost flying in the library, that is, until Twilight stopped her and grabbed Spike.

"Yes, yes, we'll get right on that. Well, g'night!" Twilight said before slamming the door behind her.

"Psssst!" They heard somepony call out.

"Um, who's calling us?" Fluttershy asked.

"Fluttershy! Yemei!" They then noticed that Pinkie was half whispering and shouting to them through the back door of the library. "Come here! Now!" At that, the duo ran into the library, seeing that it was pitch dark.

"Uh, Pinkie? Why are we-"

"Shhhh!" Pinkie hushed Yemei.

"But-" But before Yemei could say another word, the lights flashed on, and she noticed that Pinkie was now in the front.

"Surprise!" Pinkie shouted, then blew a kazoo in front of the same purple mare that walked in a few seconds ago.

All Yemei could hear was the unicorn groan in aggravation.

"Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie, and I threw this party just for you! Were you surprised? Were ya? Were ya? Huh huh huh?" Pinkie Pie introduced herself, then questioned.

"Very surprised. Libraries are supposed to be quiet." Twilight explained.

And like everypony knew, Pinkie went on a rant on why a quiet library would be boring and why she even threw the party. And while she was explaining, Twilight walked up to a table full of sweets and drinks, the latter being poured into a brown cup. What she didn't noticed was that she was poring hot sauce into the cup and is now drinking it.

"And now you have lots and lots of friends!" Pinkie finished, the other four of Yemei's friends coming over and showing wide grins.

At that, Twilight turned around, showing her tear-filled eyes and red cheeks

"Are you all right, sugarcube?" Applejack questioned.

But before anypony else could ask, the mare's mane and tail went aflame and she dashed upstairs.

"Aww, she's so happy she's crying!" Pinkie said, getting a confused look from Yemei.

Spike picked up the bottle to see what Twilight was drinking n the first place. "'Hot sauce'. Ooh..." Pinkie then poured the bottles contents onto a cupcake, then eating it in one bite, receiving weird looks from the other four mares and brown wolf.

"What? It's good!" Pinkie said through her chewing.

~

Sadly, throughout the party, Yemei couldn't do anything, due to being found out. She had to stay by her mom. Thankfully, she was alone with her mom, therefore she could finally talk to her.

"Mom? I'm bored." Yemei spoke.

"I know you are, sweetie, but you need to stay hidden." Fluttershy explained.

"Can I at least go outside? I think eveypony in Ponyville is here." Yemei asked.

"Oh- alright, but be careful." Fluttershy said.

"Yay!" The human-turned-wolf then dashed out the door, making sure that nopony saw her leave. When she was finally out, she shifted back to her human self. "Ahh. Much better." Yemei said.

Yemei then noticed a rather tall three next to the library-tree that was in front of a large window. Yemei then remembered the unicorn mare named Twilight.

"I wonder why she hasn't come out from upstairs. Isn't this her party?" Yemei said to nopony in particular. "Maybe I can see what's up with her."

At first Yemei thought of climbing the tree in her wolf form but there was two things wrong with that option. One is that she can't climb trees with her wolf form and the second was that she didn't want to.

"Hands don't fail me now." Yemei said as she slowly started to climb the tree. Thankfully, she didn't lose her balance and was light enough for some branches to hold her weight. When she was finally at the top, she noticed that the mare was starring at the moon. Yemei soon did as well, seeing four bright stars getting closer to the moon with a mare shape shadow on it.

Yemei was too entranced by it that she didn't realized that the mare's eyes shifted to the tree the little human was on.

“What in Equis is that?" Yemei heard a familiar voice. The tiny human turned just in time to see the mare's purple eyes look into her own.

'Oh no! I've been spotted!' Yemei then jumped down the branch she was on, landing on another that was lower. This continued until she was close enough to the ground to not hurt herself. Yemei then dashed away from the giant tree, as she ran she turned a corner and shifted to her wolf form.

What she didn't notice was that the window the mare was looking through was high enough to reveal her transformation, at that, Twilight was very interested on what Yemei is.

Twilight then ran downstairs, getting the attention of five specific mares.

Twilight didn't noticed cause she was too busy levitating Spike to her line of sight.

"Spike! Theirs something outside and it can walk on two legs and transform into a wolf! I think it's an alien! It was climbing a tree and I think it was trying to spy on us or, or maybe it was trying to make first contact!” Twilight explained, a huge grin plastered on her muzzle. But she didn't noticed that there was a rather pale pegasus in the group, letting out shaky breaths.

When Twilight finally left, saying something about research, the five mare's then ran out the door after her, hoping that maybe Yemei will be back at home out of reach from the purple mare.

~

As Yemei was running through the town, tears were forming under her eyes and going down her furry cheeks.

'I'm so sorry mommy! I should've stayed inside and now I'll be taken away from you cause of that new pony!' Yemei continued running, starting to see a familiar cottage in her blurry sight. But she also heard some faint clopping of hooves, at that, Yemei ran faster, her four legs making it easier and nearly effortless.

She then dashed through the doggy door and ran upstairs under her mom's bed.

'Please let this be a scary dream. I don't wanna leave mommy!' Yemei thought as she slowly transformed into her human form, sleep coming over her.

Chapter 5: The Dream

Yemei didn't know that she fell asleep, but figured out when she woke up in an endless black void. Yemei looked all around her, getting nothing but darkness.

She didn't like it.

"Mommy?" Yemei called out, her voice echoed through the void, but came no reply.

Yemei gripped on her strap of the purse she was wearing, getting a bit frightened at the loneliness in the void.

"Mom?" Yemei shouted again, getting the same result. Yemei was about to call out to her mother again, that is, until a bright flash came out of nowhere.

The sudden light scared the tiny human to the floor, making the girl form new tears under her eyes. She closed her eyes, covering them with her small hands, hoping that whatever made that light didn't hurt her.

"Mommy." Yemei mumbled as she waited for the unexpected to happen.

~Back Within Ponyville~

The six mares on the search for Yemei continued without anypony noticing that they were missing from the party. One being Twilight was trying to follow a faint trail of wolf tracks as she thought of the many things she will learn from this new creature.

"Oh, I hope it didn't venture into the Everfree. From the rumors I gathered it's quite dangerous." She spoke to herself as she continued following the trail. She lifted her muzzle to see that the trail ended in front of a tiny cottage. Twilight quickly trotted up to the house and knocked on the door.

"Excuse me! I'm sorry for intruding but it seems that theirs somepony within your cottage that I need to meet dearly." Twilight called out, getting no response.

'Maybe the pony living in this cottage is not here...' Twilight thought.

"Hello!?" Twilight shouted louder.

That was when Fluttershy came up and shoved her aside... accidentally. Fluttershy quickly opened the locked door, slammed it behind her and re-locked it.

"What the- Fluttershy!? Do you live here?" Fluttershy heard Twilight's voice asked.

"Um... yes." Fluttershy answered.

"Hey, Fluttershy? You do know that you have an extraterrestrial living within you home, right?" Twilight said.

Fluttershy was about to reply until she heard a new set of hooves coming over.

"Twilight! Why did you leave your 'Welcome to Ponyville Party'?" Pinkie's voice shouted.

"I'm sorry Pinkie, but there's an alien living with Fluttershy." Twilight spoke.

"Who? Do you mean Ye-" Pinkie was silenced as another voice called out next.

"Twilight, sweetie! You do know that it's quite rude to leave the party that was for you right?" Rarity asked.

"I know but-"

"Yo, Twi! What brought you in such a hurry?" Rainbow asked.

"I-"

"Hey, sugarcube. Ah'm sorry to interrupt ya'll, but the Celebration is about to begin." Applejack said.

"Ohmygosh! You right! Quick! I need to stop this before Nightmare Moon escapes!" Twilight shouted. Fluttershy then heard a set of hoofsteps run away.

Futtershy then heard a knocking from her door. The shy mare cracked open the door a bit to see the other four mares look right back at her.

"Is she alright?" Pinkie asked.

"I-I haven't checked yet, hold on." Fluttershy then closed the door, starting to look throughout her home.

When she did, she noticed that Yemei wasn't in the living room or the kitchen. She then walked up the stairs to the little hallway. She checked the bathroom; nothing. She checked Yemei's room; nothing again. She then checked her own bedroom, seeing that it almost seemed untouched, that is, until she noticed that her quilt was unfolded.

She checked atop of the bed, seeing that Yemei wasn't there. She then checked under the bed, seeing a small figure curled up.

Fluttershy gently pulled out the figure, seeing that it was Yemei, sleeping while snuggling her tiny purse. Fluttershy noticed that their were tear streaks on her cheeks, making the yellow mare worry even more.

Fluttershy brought the sleeping human to her bedroom, tucking her in and giving her a cute pink bear plushie. She watched as Yemei took hold of the toy and curled tighter into a ball.

"Don't worry," Fluttershy whispered. "Momma won't let anything happen to you." Fluttershy then planted a kiss on the human's forehead. "I promise."

The shy pegasus then walked out the room, closing the door behind her, and getting out of the house itself.

"So?" Rarity asked.

"She was hiding under my bed." Fluttershy explained. "She was asleep when I found her, so I placed her in her own bed."

"What a relief." Rainbow said, wiping her brow. "But you do know that Twi is gunna come back right?" Rainbow asked.

"Yes... I do." Fluttershy replied emotionless.

"What are we gunna do 'bout that mare?" Applejack asked.

"I think she should know about Yemei." Fluttershy answered.

"What?" The other four mares asked in unison.

"Rainbow's right about Twilight not giving up on Yemei; so we should let her in on Yemei's existence." Fluttershy explained. "We can't keep her hidden forever."

"Your quite right on that Fluttershy, dear. But she's going to have to keep this secret as well." Rarity said.

"Anyways, I think we should get to the Town Hall. Twilight might be waiting for us." Rainbow said.

"Yeah, let's go!" Pinkie said, bouncing off.

The other four followed suit; Fluttershy being the last to leave. The yellow pegasus looked to where Yemei was resting.

"Goodbye, sweetie. Momma will be right back." Fluttershy said, slowly leaving the cottage and catching up to her friends.

~Within Yemei's Dream~

Yemei didn't know how long she waited, but she knew she waited long enough to start hearing strange noises around her. One thing she heard was lots of hoofsteps, but it sounded more like when Yemei walks in her human form. Another sound was of different voices following the hoofsteps. Some were faint, some were close; each one being in a different tone, both feminine and masculine. The last sound she heard was of wheels moving and the sound of wind passing by her as fast as when Rainbow flies past her. She also heard some horns going off.

Yemei then, with a bit of courage, removed one of her hands away from her now opened eyes. What she saw was a grey floor. The floor felt hard and strong, she noticed some tiny cracks on the floor as well. Yemei then took her other hand off her other eye and started looking around her. What she saw she couldn't believe.

She saw creatures just like her walking around her, each and every one of them being different in their own way. None of them stopped there walking, but some gave her a sideways glance.

Yemei gripped the strap of her handbag and stood up. Even when she got up, the creatures were still taller than her. She looked to her left to see a much larger street, only it was black and looked smoother than the grey one she was standing in. She also noticed that none of the tall creatures walked on the back street. Yemei was about to question that until a strange thing went by her. She saw that it was some medal carriage that wasn't pushed by anypony. She also noticed that there were more strange carriages, each in different sizes and colors.

Yemei was too focused on the strange carriages that she didn't noticed somepony.

Yemei felt a big hand on her shoulder. She quickly turned around to see one of the tall creatures looking right at her. The creature was crouched down, seeing eye level to her.

"Excuse me, little girl? Are you lost?" The creature asked in a calm, male voice.

"I...I..." Yemei couldn't spit out any words. Her mom always told her to not talk to strangers, but she never told her what to do if a stranger talked to her.

"Uh, sir?" Another voiced said. Yemei looked up to see a feminine looking creature looking at the two. "Is she your daughter?"

"No, I just found her on the sidewalk looking at the cars." The first creature said.

"I...I..." Yemei still couldn't say anything. So with speaking out, she had to result to her second option; running.

Yemei ran away from the two creatures, ignoring their shouting and disappearing within the crowd. Yemei ran into an alleyway, stopping behind a dirty dumpster. She stayed there, taking a breather and ignoring the many sounds. She sat on the grey floor and hugged her legs, placing her head in the center.

'I just want my mommy...' Yemei then felt the area change around her. She could tell it was changing due to the sounds fading and the area getting colder. Yemei opened her eyes to see that now she was in a familiar grassy field.

She noticed that she was leaning against the tree the birds were perched on this afternoon. She looked around to see that she was surrounded in trees, making it difficult to leave.

"Hello?" Yemei called out. At first she thought she was alone, that is, until she heard laughing.

She turned her head towards the laughter to see a large figure rising from beneath the trees. As the figure rose, she noticed that there is something atop of its head... something sharp.

When the figure rose to its full height, it seemed as big as a mountain, its glowing purple eyes.

Suddenly, some light was shown upon the figure, making Yemei see who it really was.

It was the purple mare from today. Except she looked... different.

One thing about her was that her mane seemed messed up, like she just got out of bed. Another is that she was wearing a crown atop of her head, one big gem being in a shape of a six-pointed star. She then saw that her irises were the size of pinpricks and her smile seemed...creepy.

Yemei then watched at she unfurled a pair of purple wings that were larger than Rainbow's. The mare than spoke.

"Now, my most favorite part of Science." She then brought out a pair of scalpels using the same magic as Rarity's; levitation.

"Time to experiment!" The mare shouted and brought the scalpel down towards Yemei's tiny form.

Yemei, luckily, dodged just in time to see the tree she was laying against get destroyed.

"Now, now, now. I must see if Human's can withstand the same amount of pain as us equines." The crazy mare explained. "Hold STILL!" She then jabbed it to where Yemei was standing now, making her jump out of the way again.

This continued for awhile, as the giant pony continued jabbing, Yemei kept on dodging the science equipment. That is, until the mare got a clean hit.

The mare brought down the scalpel just in time to stab Yemei's side, making the human cry out. When Yemei landed back on the ground, she held on to the gash, trying to stop the pain and bleeding.

"Oooooh! Your still breathing? How interesting." The purple mare commented as she watched Yemei shout in pain. "Let's see your limit until you can't move anymore!" Yemei then watched as the bloody scalpel took aim in the mare's levitation.

"P-please... don't do th-this..." Yemei wheezed as she watched the giant scalpel propel right where she was laying, blood slowly dripping out of her mouth. When she felt the sharp item connect, everything went black.

Chapter 6: The Misuderstanding

View Online

After the six mares returned from the forest with both Celestia and Luna, Pinkie created a special party for Luna's return. Twilight, of course tried to explain to the princesses of the extraterrestrial in Fluttershy's cottage, but her other five friends either distracted her or the princesses from learning about the purple mare's discovery.

But when she finally had the time to, it was time for both princesses to return to Caterlot, upsetting the new resident of Ponyville and the Golden Oakes Library.

When everypony left the party and returned to whatever they were doing before, Twilight's five friends dragged the purple unicorn away from the town, towards the little cottage.

"Hey, girls? I just wanna ask, why did you stop me from informing the princess about the alien?" Twilight asked.

"Listen, sugarcube. Ah know you just got here and is probably gettin' ready to settle down in yer home, but we gotta secret to tell ya 'bout this alien." Applejack explained, ignoring the unicorn's question.

"A...secret?" Twilight was confused.

"Yeah, but before we tell you, you gotta promise that you won't tell anypony about this!" Rainbow said, hovering beside the unicorn mare.

"O-okay... I promise to not reveal this secret to anypony." Twilight swore, placing a hoof to her heart.

"Okay. Now Fluttershy, dear? I think it's best for you to explain about little Yemei." Rarity said, looking right at the yellow pegasus.

"Wait, who's Yemei?" Twilight asked.

"M-my...daughter." Fluttershy said shyly.

"Oh! I didn't know that you were married!" Twilight said happily.

"I-I'm not married..." Fluttershy responded.

"O-oh, I'm sorry I didn't know-" Twilight couldn't finish her sentence due to the shy mare interrupting her.

"She's adopted." Fluttershy plainly said.

"A-adopted?" Twilight was quite stunned.

"Y-yes and she's the alien..." Fluttershy mumbled.

"She's the what?" Twilight couldn't hear what she said.

"I said she's the alien." Fluttershy said again.

"She's that ali?" Twilight didn't hear the last part.

"S-she's the alien..." She said again.

"The...alien!" Twilight shouted. "You adopted the extraterrestrial!?"

"Um, yes." Fluttershy squeaked.

"Ohmygosh! Fluttershy do you not know how lucky you are!?" Twilight shouted. "A whole new species is in your home and your keeping it hidden? The many things you can know just by living under the same roof! Please, Fluttershy, I must perform some tests on this creature!"

"Woah, woah, woah! Who says we're gonna let you do some weird test on Yemei?" Rainbow asked, getting in the unicorn mare's face.

"First off, Yem-yem is Fluttershy's child and second she is just a young filly!" Pinkie said, shoving Rainbow out of the way being replaced by her pink muzzle.

"Even though she seems quite young, it's never to early to start testing! Don't you see, your hiding somepony that can change the whole viewpoint within the equis eyes!" Twilight said

"We all know about this whole thing, but I must ask, why do you want to perform tests on sweet Yemei?" Rarity asked, not really grasping on what Twilight was so excited about.

"I'm sorry Rarity, I'm just so excited on learning about this creature! I need to know what she eats, what she drinks, and even what she thinks about. I just have to learn more about her for Celestia!" Twilight squeaked, her grin never leaving.

"Listen Twilight, I know this may seem awesome for you, but her existence is the secret." Rainbow said, getting a shocked look on her face.

"S-so I can't tell Celestia about her?" Twilight asked, sounding a bit upset.

"S-sorry, but we need to keep here away from the Princess..." Fluttershy answered. "I-if she finds out about Yemei, who knows what the princess will to Yemei."

"I... I see your point." Twilight says. "But can I at least do some harmless tests on her?" Twilight asked.

"Um, okay... But only if she agrees to this as well." Fluttershy answered.

"Oh! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" Twilight says, hopping on her hooves.

"But again, only if she agreed to do it as we-" Fluttershy was then interrupted by a sound she wish she didn't hear.

It was Yemei screaming.

"YEMEI!" Fluttershy screamed as she flew strait to her cottage at a speed Rainbow could copy.

"Quick girls, let's hurry!" Applejack shouted as she started galloping to where Fluttershy flew off to, the other four following after the farm mare.

When the other five arrived at the cottage they quickly ran inside, up the stairs and stopped in front of the opened door. Twilight was the last to come but once she had a clean view, she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Right in front of her was the alien, Fluttershy hugging the weeping extraterrestrial. Twilight, like the nerd she is, brought out a quill and parchment and started taking notes on Yemei's appearance, though it was difficult due her lower part being covered by the thick quilt.

"Sh-she was so scar-r-ry." Yemei spoke.

"It talks!?" Twilight blurted out, making all eyes on her. But when Yemei saw her, the little human screamed again and tried to hide within her mother's fur.

"Shh, shh, it's okay." Fluttershy tried to calm the human down. The pegasus then waved her hoof towards the door, motioning the other five equines to leave.

"Let's go downstairs." Rainbow whispers, pushing the others lightly to make them start walking.

When they all did and was waiting downstairs, the five mares just stood silent.

That is, until Rainbow spoke. "So... what do you think is up with Yemei?"

"By the looks of it, it seems that little Yemei had a nightmare." Rarity assumed.

"And by how she was lookin' at Twi, the nightmare might had to do with Twilight." Applejack added, eyeing the mare in question who was still too busy writing her last sentence.

They stood silent again, Twilight's scribbling on the parchment being the only sound going throughout the living room.

It was about to be another minute of silence until they heard the gentle clop of hooves going down the stairs. All five turned their heads to see Fluttershy and a scared Yemei coming into the living room with them.

"Yemei, sweetie, are you okay?" Rarity asked, slowly approaching the little human.

All Rarity got in return was a short nod.

"Did ya'll get a nightmare?" Applejack asked, coming over next.

"Mhm..." Yemei nodded.

"Do you mind telling us the spooky dream?" Pinkie asked.

This time Yemei shook no, then looked up to Fluttershy.

"I think she wants me to explain." Fluttershy said. At that, the six mares and one human got ready for a little storytelling from Fluttershy.

~

When the explanation of Yemei's dream ended, four of the five mares were quite shocked at the dream itself. Of course throughout the explanation, Twilight was trying to befriend Yemei, but no matter what she did, the human just got closer to the butter-yellow pegasus and ignored Twilight.

"Ah... ah can't believe Yemei could have a dream like that..." Applejack mumbles.

"I... I wouldn't even think of Yemei having a nightmare like that." Rarity said.

"And Twilight..." Rainbow said.

"Twilight sounded like a big meanie-pants!" Pinkie said, showing a silly pout.

"But why did Twilight have wings in her dream?" Rarity questioned.

All Fluttershy could do was shrug in response.

"It doesn't make any sense though..." Twilight spoke. "How can Yemei have a vision of her home and a nightmare about me?"

Again, another shrug from Fluttershy.

"I guess this means I can't ask to do some tests on her yet." Twilight mumbled quiet enough for Yemei not to hear.

"Anyways," Fluttershy says to get everyponies attention. "I think that Yemei needs a little something to cheer her up." The yellow mare then looks at the only pink pony who can do that.

"Oh! Okay! Hey Yemei!" Pinkie called out, crouching down to eye level to the tiny human.

"Y-yes?" Yemei asks.

"I know something that'll cheer you up!" Pinkie then shows a huge smile, making the little girl smile as well.

"What?" Yemei asks again.

"A cupcake!" Pinkie then randomly brings out a pink box out of nowhere.

The little human then opens the box, seeing an array of Cupcakes that had letters atop of them. They were in an order to spell out 'CHEER UP!!!'.

"Thanks, Pinkie!" The human then gives the party mare a tight hug, of course the box not being harmed in the hug. Yemei then walks up to Twilight, a cute look adorn on the humans face. "I-I'm sorry miss Twilight. I was just scared over that bad dream."

Twilight then hugs Yemei. "It's okay."

"Alrighty then, everypony! Who wants a Cupcake!?" Pinkie shouts.

"I do!" Everypony else shouts in unison.

Nopony knew this yet, but somehow, all seven of their lives will change after this one afternoon.

Chapter 7: The Tickets

View Online

It has been a full week since Twilight discovered Yemei and so far it seemed like they get along well. Though, sometimes Twilight takes secret notes when Yemei isn't looking. Today though, Twilight was busy helping Applejack at the farm, leaving the tiny human and shy pegasus alone for the first time.

"Hey, Mama?" Yemei called out to the yellow pony.

"Y-yes, Yemei?" Fluttershy said.

"Can we go out for a walk today?" She asked.

"I-I guess so, since it seems quite boring in the cottage..."

"Yay! Can Angel come too?" Yemei asked, showing a big grin.

"Of course he can come. He has to protect you from the dangerous strangers out there." Fluttershy joked.

Yemei didn't respond, mostly because she went off to pack her bag. When the duo were finished getting ready for going outside,(Fluttershy brining her saddle due to getting some small items at the market) Yemei quickly changed into her brown wolf form and started running outside.

"Y-Yemei! Wait for me!" Fluttershy shouted, flying over to the energetic wolf-disguised human, Angel riding on the pegasus.

~

After Fluttershy caught up with Yemei, giving her a small scolding afterwards, they were in the middle of the town. Yemei was busy looking around that she didn't notice Twilight, Spike, Rarity, or Pinkie Pie. But Angel did, and also some golden tickets in the dragon's grasp.

Angel quickly scurried up to Spike, being super quiet and hearing on what the ponies were talking about.

"Twilight, I simply cannot believe you would invite Pinkie Pie so she can... party, and prevent me from meeting my true love. How could you? Hmph."

At that moment, Angel quickly nabbed the tickets and ran over to Fluttershy.

"Hey!" Spike shouted

When Angel returned to his owner, he quickly showed the tickets to her, making the shy pony gasp.

"Angel, these are perfect." She said, taking the tickets from the white bunnies grasp.

That was when Yemei noticed the other ponies, the tiny dragon, and the two golden tickets.

"Hey Mommy? What are those?" Yemei asked.

"O-oh well, these are the Grand Galloping Gala tickets." Fluttershy explained.

"The Grand Gallping what-now?" Yemei was confused.

"The Grand Galloping Gala is one of the most famous parties ever, held in Princess Celestia's castle itself." Fluttershy explained once more. She then walked up to the other ponies and dragon, Yemei following right behind her.

"Um, excuse me, Twilight. I would just like to ask, I mean, if it would be all right, if you haven't given it to someone else--" Fluttershy started to ask, then got interupted by the fashonista.

"You? You want to go to the gala?"

"Oh, no. I mean, yes, or, actually, kind of..." Fluttershy then explained that she didn't want to partake in the party. She honestly, just wanted to go to the garden in the castle to meet the exotic animals and befriend them.

“Gee, Fluttershy, it sounds... beautiful?” She said, the last part sounding like a question.

“Wait just a minute.” Rainbow came out of nowhere.

“Rainbow Dash, were you following me?” Twilight said, sounding a bit agitated.

“No. I mean, yes. I mean, maybe. Look, it doesn't matter.” Rainbow said, changing the subject. “I couldn't risk a goody-four-shoes like you giving that ticket away to just anybody.”

Then in the corner of Yemei’s eye, she saw her apple-loving relative come over. She too speaking out.

“Wait just another minute.”

“Applejack, were you following me too?” Twilight asked, sounding more surprised than upset.

“No. I was followin' this one-” She pointed a hoof at Rainbow. “-to make sure she didn't try any funny business. Still trying to take mah ticket.”

Your ticket?” Rainbow asked, also sounding surprised.

“But Twilight's taking me.” Pinkie said.

Then, everypony except Twilight and Yemei started arguing about the tickets. Making it too hard for the two to even think. After a good five seconds, Twilight decided to end this.

QUIET!” Twilight shouted, making everyone but Pinkie stop.

“-and then I said, "Oatmeal, are you craz--" oh.” Pinkie then stopped, noticing that she was the only one talking.

“Girls, there's no use in arguing.” Twilight spoke.

“But Twilight-” Rarity started.

“Eh! This is my decision, and I'm gonna make it on my own, and I certainly can't think straight with all this noise…” Twilight’s stomach then started to rumble “-not to mention hunger. Now go on, shoo.”

At that, everypony went their separate ways, Yemei following her mother back to the cottage, the young wolf hearing everypony else grumble in annoyance.

“And don't worry, I'll figure this out... somehow.” Yemei heard Twilight say, a bit unsure.

After the two were a good distance away, Fluttershy started speaking.

“I really want that ticket.”

“Are you sure mom? I heard from some birds that-”

“I want it more than anything.” Fluttershy interrupted her, sounding a bit desperate.

“Well, if you really want that ticket, why not do something nice for her. She might be grateful for it and might give it to you.” Yemei said.

“What a great idea Yemei! Come on sweetie, I need to bring you home, I’ve got some big plans.” Fluttershy then started trotting a bit faster, making Yemei pick up the pace to follow her mother.

When they finally arrived home, Fluttershy opened the door quickly and dashed over to the kitchen, ignoring her daughter coming in after.

Yemei then closed the door behind her, now shifting back to her human form. She took a seat on the couch and watched as her animal roommates were watching there shy pegasus friend gathering some of the vegetables and putting them in a basket; Angel bunny doing the same.

“Okay Yemei, sweetie. I’ll be back in awhile. There’s food in the kitchen and remember, when you wanna play outside, always stay as a wolf. Okay?” Fluttershy said, walking up to the little girl, the basket on her back and Angel bunny now perched on the yellow mare’s head.

“Why can’t I come?” Yemei asked, sounding a bit upset that she couldn't come.

“Cause I’m going to Twilight’s home to help clean up the place, and I need you to stay and make sure that all our animal friends are okay.” Fluttershy explained.

“Oh, okay momma. Come back soon.” Yemei said, hugging one of her mother’s fore-hoof.

“Don’t worry. I’ll be home before you know it.” Fluttershy said.

Yemei watched as her mother walked out the cottage with Angel, some of the birds outside following her. When the door was finally closed, Yemei was instantly bored.

“Why couldn’t I come? I wanna see what a library looks like when it’s empty. And I could help by making a nice snack for Twilight. She seemed hungry..” Yemei spoke to herself. She knew she could’ve asked her mother before she left, but she didn’t want to be a bother.

“Hey, Yemei! Wanna play Wolf and Mouse?” Yemei looked down to see one of her mouse friend Squeakers looking up at her.

“No thanks, I just walked.” Yemei said.

“What’s wrong? You sound a bit down.” Squeakers asked, hopping up to the couch and sitting next to the human girl.

“Oh, it’s nothing..” Yemei mumbled.

"It doesn't sound like nothing." He said, nudging the girl to tell him her problem.

"Fine. I'll tell..." She then explained on what was going on with Fluttershy and how she wants the extra ticket for the Grand Galloping Gala.

"Ah, I see, but didn't you tell her about the animals in the garden themselves? That Mocking Bird went on forever making fun of them." He asked.

"I... I wanted to, but I didn't was to disappoint her. She sounded like she really wanted the ticket." Yemei said.

"But is that all your upset about?" He asked.

"Well, I gave her an idea on how to get on Twilight's good side, but she didn't take me with her." She said, her brown wolf ears forming and going down in sadness.

"Hey, it's okay. Besides, with the things she took with her, she looked like she was gonna clean the place, and I know that your not too into cleaning." He said.

"Yeah I know, but staying here alone isn't better." She said.

"True..." He nodded. "Ya know what? Why don't you visit Apple Bloom while we take care of the house."

"Wh-what? But mommy said to-"

"I know, I know what she said, I'll explain everything to her when she gets back." He said. "Now get over there before it's too late." He was then pulled into a tight embrace.

"Thanks Squeakers." She said as she snuggled him more.

"N-no problem... just... stop crushing m-me." He strained.

"Oh! Sorry." She let go and he fell onto her lap.

"It's fine... no worries." He said in between breaths.

She then got ready to go to the Apple family's home and shifted into her wolf form as she ran through the doggie door, shouting a good-bye and stating that she'll be back later. She went through a small shortcut through some trees, but not into the Everfree. Meanwhile, Twilight was being lifted into the air by other townspony a good distance away, even Yemi could see the purple pony shape in the air.

~

While Yemei was walking by the edge of the forest, she couldn't find any ponies walking in the town at all. 'That's strange...' She thought. When the wolf-hidden-human arrived at the farm house, the sun was slowly setting. She walked up to the front porch in her wolf form and pawed at the door, waiting for somepony to answer. Lucky for her, Apple Bloom was the one to answer her. Besides the main six, Apple Bloom also knows about Yemei's secret existence.

"Oh! Hi Yemei. Whatcha doin' here?" The yellow filly asked. Compared to the two, Yemei's wolf form was the same height as Apple Bloom, maybe even taller, but Yemei was much taller then the farm filly in her human form.

"Is your brother or granny around?" Yemei whispered.

"Well, Granny is takin' a nap while Big Mac is doin' his chores outside." The farm filly answered.

"Cool. So do you wanna play together?" Yemei asked, not seeing her brown tail wagging.

"Sure! Maybe ah can get mah cutie mark in wolf chasin'." Apple Bloom smiled as she closed the door behind her and started running into the apple orchard.

At that, the two were playing together while making sure Big Mac didn't spot them. They were too into playing that they didn't see the sunlight being replaced by the moonlight. And it seemed that wolf eyesight was much better in the dark then a young filly's. Without Yemei knowing that Apple Bloom was falling back in a game of tag, she went deeper into the orchard and also not seeing that she entered the Everfree Forest.

After awhile of not spotting Yemei, Apple Bloom assumed that she sneaked behind her and went back to the farm. But when she arrived, she didn't see her and even asked her older sister if she spotted her, explaining that they were playing and she lost sight of her. Applejack got nervous and went outside into the orchard herself, calling out to the human and not seeing the little girl at all. Without going back to the farm, she made a mad dash to Fluttershy's cottage, thinking that maybe she went home without letting Apple Bloom know. But when she opened the unlocked door, she saw a worried Fluttershy in a position to open the door herself. The two then said in unison:

"Have you seen Yemei?" Both sounding worried and scared.

"Come on Apple Bloom! I can barely hear your hoofsteps!" Yemei joked as she ran past the many trees and plants around her. She then slowed down as she really can't hear the filly's hoofsteps. She went to a complete stop and turned around as she notice that she couldn't see her friend anywhere. "Apple Bloom?" She called out, getting no response. She also realized that she wasn't in the orchard anymore either. All the trees around her looked either wilted or creepy. Her ears went down and her tail went between her legs as she decided to go back. Or, at least she thought she was, but since she was doing so many twist and turns, that she seemed lost.

'Where am I? Where's the apple trees? How did-' Her thoughts were then interrupted as she missed a step on the side of a small hill and she was tumbling down and hit hard on the floor. She let out a shout as she felt sore all over and when she stood up, she couldn't stand on one paw. Even so, she started walking once more, limping as she walked.

~

The main six were now brought back together for an emergency meeting. For the ones that weren't informed about Yemei's disappearance, they were shocked and wanted to immediately go out and search for her. But Twilight stopped everyone before they did anything ridiculous.

"Girls! Please! We can't go out willy nilly calling out for Yemei." She said.

"What!? Why not!?" Rainbow demanded.

"It's already dark out. If we go searching for her right now, it would be hard to spot her and we might catch somepony's attention and they might try to find out on what we're doing in the middle of the night. We have to wait till morning so we won't bring too much attention." Twilight explained.

"But...but Yemei is still out there. What if somepony finds her first?" Fluttershy said, tears starting to form under her eyes. Pinkie hugged her for comfort.

"Ah'm sorry Flutters, but Twi made a good point in not attractin' attention. And ah know Yemei is following your rule of stayin' like a wolf." Applejack said.

Rainbow huffed in anger. "The egg head's right. But at least one of us should search for at least instead of all of us."

"Good idea Rainbow, I think you should search for her since your fast." Twilight said.

"Rodger that." She saluted. She then placed a gentle hoof on Fluttershy. "Don't worry Shy, she'll be in your hooves once more. I promise." At that, the rainbow-manned equine flew out the door and into the town with a rainbow streak left behind.

"Please be safe Yemei." Fluttershy said to herself quietly.

"Anyways, I think the rest of us should go home just in case Yemei is there." Twilight said.

"I'm so sorry darling, I wish we could do more, but Twilight is right. We shall look for sweet Yemei when the sun is back in the sky." After that, the others left with a small goodbye, and Twilight, being the last one to leave, prayed to Faust that Yemei will come home safe and sound.

~

Yemei was still going through the Everfree she thought it wouldn't get any worse, but she slipped on some wet mud and slipped down a much steeper hill, at the bottom being greeted with a patch of blue flowers. Some went in her mouth and she spitted it out, it tasting like a mixture of spinach and onions. "Yuck!" She continues trying to spit the taste off her mouth. 'I've gotta get home to momma.' She thought as she continued walked aimlessly though the forest.

While she was walking around the forest, she tripped on something stuck in the ground. "Ah! Dumb rock." She was about to kick it before seeing that it was not a rock. "Huh?" She used her tail to brush the dirt off it and she still couldn't tell what it was. She did see some small strings tied together. Grabbing the strings with her teeth, she easily pulled it out to see what looked like shoes with four wheels on the bottom. She looked at them with confusion. She decided to take them with her and draped the tied together items on her neck before starting to walk again.

After what felt like forever, she found a cave and decided to at least sleep there until the sun came out. She limped inside as she laid down next to a rock and looked up to see a gaping hole near the top of the entrance and she saw the moon and millions of stars. She sighed as she placed her head on her fore-paws, yawning a little before falling asleep.

~The Next Day~

Rainbow returned the next day, bringing the news of not finding Yemei around town, the others saying that she wasn't around there home either. There was no sight of her by any citizens of Ponyville either. At least, no rumors of a wolf or a strange creature in town. It also seemed that Fluttershy stayed up all night, waiting for either Rainbow to come with Yemei, or for the wolf girl to come home on her own. Bags under her eyes being proof enough. Twilight decided to make Fluttershy sleep while everyone else except Rainbow to search through the town. Rainbow was going to search the Everfree forest, just in case.

Three hours later of searching for the five, she wasn't found in the town. Rainbow on her own, was about to leave for their meet up at Sugarcube Corner until she heard a loud roar followed by a familiar scream nearby.

"Yemei!" She called out before dashing to where the roar and scream came from.

~

Yemei was sound asleep before her ears went up at the sound of breathing before her head went up as well. 'What's that sound?' She thought as she felt something was behind her. Yemei's ears went down as she slowly turned her head to see a huge blue bear. It had stars on it like a constellation and she could somewhat see through it.

"U-uhm...hello?" She said. She was responded with a loud earth-quaking roar from the bear. She screamed in fear as she quickly got up and ran as fast as she could under the large bear, going deeper into the cave. 'IwannagohomeIwannagohomeIWANNAGOHOME!' She thought as she didn't see where she was going and bumped into something big and fluffy. She backed away as she saw an even bigger bear that looked like the blue one, only it was purple instead.

"I-I'm s-s-so s-sorry." She squeaked in fright as an even louder roar came from the bigger bear.

Yemei then tried to turn around, but she spotted the other bear and started backing away from the two. She was cornered as she felt the heat of there breath wash over her. With nothing else to do, she shouted : "SOMEPONY HELP ME!!!!" As loud as she could, tears in her eyes. They were shut as she heard something else going in the cave and before she could realize it, she felt the cool afternoon air brushing over her as she couldn't feel the cave floor anymore. She opened one eye as she looked down to see the large forest go past her. She was about to scream again, but she heard a familiar voice.

"Don't worry Yemei, I got ya."

She looked up to see Rainbow Dash carrying her in her hooves. Soon they landed on a clear hillside that was close to the "Welcome to Ponyville" sign. She placed her on the floor before landing in front of the young wolf.

"What the hay were you doing in the Everfree forest!?" She demanded.

"I... I'm so sorry. I... I was just p-playing and I g-got lost." Yemei explained with tears in her eyes. "I d-didn't mean to c-cause so much t-trouble."

Rainbow still had a stern look before she noticed how upset she was over all the trouble she caused. She sighed before draping a wing over the brown wolf and resting her chin on the wolf's head. "It's okay. As long as your safe and unharmed." She then broke the small embrace. "Now, I wanna know, what's that on your neck?" She pointed a hoof at the dirt covered item he found the night before.

"Oh, well, I found these in the forest and took them with me." She said.

"Okay? Anyways, we better get back home. Come on." She stood up before making her way on the trail to the town.

Yemei got up as well, but remembered her injured paw, starting to limp again. Rainbow noticed this when she turned around.

"Are you okay Yemei? Did you get hurt?" She asked.

"What? Oh, I uhm, slipped down a hill and now my paw hurts." Yemei explained.

Rainbow then walked back to her and placed the brown wolf on her back. "Let me carry you."

"B-but I can move on my own. I don't want you to work any more." Yemei said as she tried to get off, but couldn't.

"Just let me carry you home." Rainbow said.

"Okay..." She said, her ears going down as she stayed silent.

~

When the two arrived home, Yemei was asleep once more and Rainbow came in silently as she placed the wolf upstairs on her bed. In her sleep she shifted back to her human self as she was tucked into the bed. Rainbow then took the unknown item off her neck and rinsed them out on the bathroom sink. When all the dirt was off, she saw that they looked like roller skates, only they seemed more for Yemei then any mare or stallion. They were light pink with white laces and pink wheels with a black stopper in the front, the word Roces on the side. She hanged them in Yemei's room to let the water dry off before making her way out the room.

But right after she left, while Yemei was sleeping, a blue spot forming on the back of her neck before being covered by her hair.

Time to Vote!

Hello everypony! It's me, Pixel Berry, and so far I am still trying to choose which one to choose. I had one already in mind, but I didn't want some of you mares and stallions upset of my result. So now, I decided to list some ideas I have and what you gave me around the 'Poison Jokes' affect on Yemei.

A small heads up, Yemei will be in her 'Poison Joke' form till the episode "Bridal Gossip" comes in this fanfic, so, not putting too much pressure but Yemei will be this way for awhile.

Here are the Choices:
~Yemei turns into a Pony
~Yemei has trouble Shifting Human and Wolf forms
~Yemei turns into a Wolf Pony
~Yemei becomes Older

That's all so far, but I'd like you to choose which one you'd like the most. The more votes, the better. And even though my Fanfic isn't super famous, I would really love if I had some fan art(Maybe for a New Cover) or more compliments and appreciation around my book. I really think out the box for my books. I want them to be different and stand out.

So, until next time, see ya!

~Update~

Alright Everypony, it has just been two days and already there is a lot of comments on what you'd like to happen. Some ponies unsure on what to pick between two things and one just explaining the reasonable outcome on each choices of affects. For the ones unsure on two choices, I decided to just add the two on the voting chart. So! Here's the votes so far!

*Yemei turns into a Pony: 0
*Yemei has trouble Shifting Human and Wolf forms: 10
*Yemei turns into a Wolf Pony: 34
*Yemei becomes Older: 2

Sweet Celestia everypony wants Yemei to be a Wolf Pony! Was it the picture that convinced you fillies and colts? Either way, just to make the decision a bit easier, I shall put my own opinions or reasons why I choose that as one of the options. And here they are:

~Yemei turns into a Pony~

Well, there is no reason other then that this was a bit overused in the many HiE that was met with Poison Joke. I'm assuming it was mostly used due to the curiosity of the human being a pony. Though, I think the author only used that since they already put too much thought in this and didn't want to change it. But that's the problem, it's too overused, which would be an obvious reason why it wasn't chosen... at all.

~Yemei has trouble Shifting Human and Wolf Forms~

Even though in the official movie "Wolf Children" that they didn't have trouble shifting, it mostly happened by there own emotions, whether it was sadness or anger. I decided this one, imagining that she turns human in the middle of town, or that it was a mixture of both a wolf and human(Maybe a Furry if you'd call it that). I mainly choose this one is cause maybe this could be the revealing of Yemei, but I'm still thinking on when that time might come. I'm glad this was second most voted, but I think most of you ponies choose this for the revealing of Yemei in Ponyville.

~Yemei turns into a Wolf Pony~

This was obviously voted the most. I was a bit surprised at this. I mean, I know that there isn't a lot of Wolf Ponies in-well, any fanfics. Though, I do like some fan arts and even one with Flutterbat Vs. Timberjack and another one I found.. Even though she technically is and isn't a wolf pony, I love the pictures. Either way, I thought of this one due to a picture I did as a request that was a Wolf Pony that was originally a Wolf that the requester wanted into a pony. And this idea came to me, with more ides around it.

~Yemei becomes Older~

This was honestly my original idea on the effects to the Poison Jokes. I seriously wanted to do this was due to maybe some ponies(including myself) a bit impatient or wondering on 'what if's on Yemei being older. But now that I think about it, I wasn't really planning out on the outcome of this one. I mean, most would be confused on her older form, maybe her new personality, and making Twilight even more interested on yemei's older body. I know that it would take awhile or maybe not. The time in Equestria may be faster or slower. Just like in the book, "My Little Dashie" it seemed that she aged faster then her 'daddy' in the book. And if I followed that logic, by the time Yemei is a teenager, Fluttershy might be as old as Granny Smith. So that's another thing I need to decide around. Of course I could make it normal and Yemei ages like a normal filly would, but it's not as interesting to me.

Anyways, I like whether or not you voted or not. I really appreciate it, and I hope I can still get your opinions and supports on this fanfic. This was honestly one of my most favorite that I created.

Chapter 9: The Change

View Online

After Rainbow made sure that Yemei was safe and was comfortable in her bed, the blue pegasi made her way out the open window, closing it behind her and flying over to the town to find the other and tell the news that Yemei was found. It took some time, but once she told Twilight, she sent a small signal to the others that were somewhere else to meet at the library. Once the other three were at the building, Rainbow told them the news and what happened. The results were as expected.

Pinkie, in which her color got a bit dull and her mane drooping a little, inflated back to it crazy curly style and her color brightened as if somepony put a spotlight on her. Rarity was ecstatic, but fainted when she heard how Rainbow even found the small wolf pup. Applejack let out a happy holler at the news, and even with the added bad news, she still had a small smile on her muzzle.

“Where is Yemei anyways?” Twilight asked the question that was on everypony's mind.

“Oh, well I brought her to Fluttershy's cottage and she fell asleep before I even got there.” She explained.

“Well, at least she's back where she belongs.” Rarity spoke as she woke up from her little dramatic faint.

“And was Fluttershy awake when you brought her home?” Twilight asked.

“I didn’t really check if she was. I just dropped Yemei off and left. She might be still asleep after being up that whole time.” Rainbow answered.

“We should go check on the two then.” Pinkie said.

“Not so fast.” Twilight said before Pinkie was halfway out the door. “We should let the two rest and be by themselves since Fluttershy was the most worried. We have to give them some space.”

“I agree with Twilight. Why don’t we celebrate with a little treat?” Rarity asked.

“A sweet treat.” Pinkie smiled as she pulled out a tray of cookies out of nowhere.

“How did she..?” Twilight was about to ask.

“Don’t question about it. It’s just Pinkie being Pinkie.” Rainbow said as she took two cookies from the tray and started eating one.

The other’s followed as Twilight was still thinking on how Pinkie is Pinkie and she took a cookie as well.

~

Fluttershy was moving in her bed as she slept soundly. She was having a rather fine dream before she felt a tapping on her flank. She hummed as she turned to her other side. After another minute, she felt the tap again. She moved her hind hooves to stop whatever was tapping her. A few minutes passed and she was soon greeted with a slap right on her cutie mark. She yelped in surprise and whatever slapped her fell off the bed with a “thump”.

The shy mare sat up as she looked around while also rubbing one of her eyes to get a clearer view on what was going on. She rubbed the spot where she was slapped and looked on the side of the bed to see a familiar white bunny on the floor.

“A-Angel? Was that you?” She asked as the bunny hopped onto the bed. He made small hops as he pointed out the door into the hallway. “Hmm? What is it? You want to show me something?” The bunny nodded as he quickly hopped off the bed and out the bedroom. The yellow pegasus followed slowly as she was still tired from being woken up so suddenly.

As Fluttershy walked through the hallway, she heard a small yawn before a familiar voice.

“Oh, hey Angel. Whatcha up to?”

Fluttershy didn’t waste a second more as she looked in her daughter’s room as she saw her precious girl on the bed, safe and sound. She quickly went over to her to give her a big hug. Yemei squeaked in surprise and blushed at how close she was to her mother before she started hugging her back. After a moment of silence and hugging, the two broke the warm embrace, but Fluttershy had her hooves atop of Yemei’s hands.

“I was so worried Yemei. I thought I’d lost you. What happened? Where did you even go?” Fluttershy spoke in a calm tone, but to Yemei, it felt like she was hiding her rage and anger within her voice.

“I-I’m sorry momma. I went to play with Apple Bloom. We were playing tag, but I went too far and ended up in a creepy forest. I tried to get back, but I fell an-” She couldn’t finish as her mother started searching her for any injuries.

“Y-you fell? Are you okay? Where does it hurt?” Fluttershy asked frantically as she did that,

“It’s okay Mommy. My arm is just sore, before it hurt a bit more, but I think I got better while I was sleeping.” She said as her mother finally stopped poking and prodding her arm for any reaction by the human.

“O-oh. Okay. I’m sorry sweetie.” She put her hooves down as she sat on the floor in front of Yemei. “P-please go on. I want to know everything.”

“A-are you sure? I don’t wanna make you worried about me.” She said as she twiddled her thumbs.

“Of course I'm sure. Just, please continue. I-if that's not too much to ask.” The shy mare said.

So Yemei continued her brief explanation on how her first time in the Everfree Forest wasn't that great. Throughout her explanation on her time in the forest, Fluttershy wanted to hug her for comfort or scold her for going off like that. But instead, she just stayed silent as she listened.

When the small story was finished, Fluttershy gently hugged the human girl again. “I'm so sorry sweetie. I should've taken you with me to clean Twilight’s house so you won't be bored and alone. I promise that this won't happen again.” She hugged a bit tighter before she released her embrace from her daughter.

"N-no momma. This is my fault. I shouldn't have gone out without your permission." Yemei said as she looked down. "I'll accept any punishment that you give me."

"P-punishment? No, no, no, no. I would never punish you for something you wouldn't see coming." Fluttershy said as she placed a hoof on Yemei's cheek. "With how much you've gone though in the Everfree, I think that should be punishment enough." She rubbed her daughter's cheeks a little before she put her hoof down to her lap. "I'm just happy that your back home, with me." She smiled as she nuzzled Yemei that caused the small human to smile at the affection she was getting from her mother.

The moment of sweetness was soon halted to a stop when Yemei's stomach lightly growled. She blushed pink before she wrapped her arms around her stomach.

Fluttershy smiled. "Is somepony hungry?" She said in a sweet teasing tone as she playfully poked Yemei's belly.

Yemei squeaked in surprise. "M-maybe?" She blushed more as she heard her mother giggle a little.

Fluttershy then got up and stood beside Yemei who was still sitting on the side of the bed. "Well, why don't we see when I make some PB&J for your little tummy." She smiled as she watched her daughter climb onto her back. Once Yemei said she was ready, Fluttershy made her way downstairs with Yemei on her back and Angel on her head.

No other animal was in the hut as they were outside or back in their own home to give the shy mare some space. Fluttershy placed Yemei on the couch as she wanted her to relax while she was making the sandwich for them. Angel decided to give the small human some company while his owner was busy.

While Fluttershy was making the sandwiches, she couldn't help but rethink on what her daughter told her. More specifically, the blue bear that she told her. She tried to put her hoof on what would be the bear that was blue and see through. Once she couldn't figure out what type of creature it would be, she finished the last of the sandwiches and placed them on the plates. She grabbed the plate with her teeth and made her way back to the living room and placed the plate on the table. She couldn't help but smile as she saw the small human take a sandwich with her small hands and start eating it.

After awhile of eating in silence, Yemei was satisfied with the meal and thanked her mother, in which she only gave a warm smile. She then remembered something.

"Oh my. I don't think the others know that your back home." Fluttershy said as she placed a hoof on her chest.

"I think Dashie would have told the others already." Yemei said. "But I still want to see them after what happened." She added.

"Oh, okay. Then I guess we should go to Twilight's home and see if the others are already there." Fluttershy said as she took the plate and put it in the sink. While she did that, Yemei shifted to a wolf…or that's what she thought.

When Fluttershy returned from the kitchen, she saw something that got her by surprise. So surprised that she screamed in fright.

~Meanwhile~

After some time of the other element bearers either enjoying the treats of Pinkie Pie's and talking about their own lives, Twilight decided that it was time to see Fluttershy and Yemei and see how the two were doing. At this moment in time, the five of them were taking their time walking to Fluttershy's cottage. They were on the trail to the small bridge in front of the yellow pegasus' home until they heard the fearful scream of the pony and they didn't waste a second to burst the door open to see what got the shy mare to scream. All five of them were shocked to see what they saw in front of them.

Chapter 10: The Pony

View Online

Yemei watched as her mother went to the kitchen to put the plate in the sink. She decided to be one step ahead and shifted into a wolf. She sat down as her tail lightly wagged and her mom came back in the room. She was confused on her shocked expression, but quickly covered her ears as her mom screamed in fright.

'What so scary that momma screamed? Is there something behind me?' Yemei turned around towards the door to see the other ponies slam the door open and they had a shocked expression as soon as their eyes fell on her. 'Are…are they scared of me?' She thought as she backed away, her tail between her legs. She then bumped into a mirror behind her and she turned around to see somepony that wasn't her.

What she was looking back was a little filly. But her coat seemed more fluffy and her tail was of that looked like a wolf's tail, pattern and all. The Eyes were the same color as her own and her mane was short and strait with some strands sticking out, but a small tuff in the front was the same as her wolf form was. She looked down to see hooves. Or were they paws? They had the same toes with claws but they also looked like hooves. She lifted one up to see the soul, but it had the bare skin like a dog cat or wolf would have, as did the fingers of the paws. She even looked back into the mirror to see her muzzle was of a wolf, but in the shape of a pony's. She looked at her coat to see some part of it was sticking out. She didn't notice sooner, but she saw that her coat was brown, being her mane and tail being a darker shade of brown. But the top part of her tail was only a darker shade, while the rest of it was the same color as her coat. She looked at her ears to see that they looked almost like a pony's, but with more fur sticking out.

The other's were still looking at her with the same shocked expression. She then turned her head to her mom, in which she flinched at her gaze. Yemei started tearing up at that. "M-momma?" She spoke out, her head down and her tail still between her legs as she slowly approached her. When Yemei spoke, Fluttershy seemed less scared and more shocked.

"Y-Yemei? Is that you?" She asked, starting to walk towards the filly.

When she was close enough, Yemei laid down as she was still afraid that she was scared of her. Fluttersy was hesitant at first, but slowly brought a hoof to the filly's cheek and she looked into the pony's eyes. She saw that they were full of sadness and fear. Fluttershy felt as if she would start crying, but held it in as she moved her hoof to the Yemei's paw and helped her up to her hooves.

"How…how did this happen?" Fluttershy asked.

"Momma? Why are you scared of me?" She asked, showing the fangs of a wolf.

"Scared?" She raised an eyebrow. She then remembered that she screamed when she saw Yemei when she changed. "O-oh. Yemei. I wasn't scared. Just a bit…startled is all." She answered. She then wrapped a hoof around the wolf-pony and could feel her shake a little, but soon relax in her embrace.

The other elements that were just outside the cottage soon snapped out of it and slowly approached the two as they tried to realize that this was Yemei.

"This is…new." Twilight spoke. Soon the other's added their own comments.

"So she's a pony now?"

"Does this mean she can't leave the house now?"

"Does she still like cupcakes?"

"Gracious, this might take some time to get used to."

Fluttershy heard all the questions and comments and one actually made her think. 'Will she be able to leave the house now? I mean, she could as a regular pony, but her paws and muzzle might be hard to hide. And what if she talks to somepony? They might get scared of her teeth.' Fluttershy was soon cut off by a small sniffle from the filly in her embrace. She looked down to see Yemei had tears in her eyes. "Yemei? Whats wrong sweetie?" She asked.

"I can't go outside anymore?" She answered with another question. But surprisingly, Twilight was the one to answer.

"I'm afraid so. But I think I have an idea on how you can go out with Fluttershy without surprising any more ponies." Twilight said. "But for that, I think we need to hide you to go to Rarity's boutique." She said. "Would you mind if I try something? I just learned this spell and I think this will help greatly." She asked, going down on her hooves so she could look at Yemei face-to-face.

Yemei let out another sniffle before she nodded. Twilight only gave a small smile before her horn glowed. She shut her eyes and concentrated as the other's saw what she was doing.

She was trying to turn Yemei invisible.

Twilight was straining and starting to sweat a little before a small flash of light was shined before it seemed that Yemei was gone. "Th-there. It was nothing to it." She breathed heavily as she wiped the sweat off her brow. "Now. This spell will last for quite some time, but I don't want to take any chances and leave before it's too late. Come on everypony, let's get to Rarity's boutique." She said.

Fluttershy could feel Yemei climb onto her back as it felt rather odd since she couldn't see her. She informed Twilight that she was on her back, and the unicorn only nodded before she mad her way out the door, as did the others.

~

After what felt like the longest and quietest walk of their lives, the seven of them reached the boutique and Rarity opened the door to let the other's in. Once the last of them entered the boutique, the spell started to wear off and Yemei was visible once more.

"Uhm, Twilight? Ah know that yer rather smart and good with plans, but why did we have to come to Rarity's boutique?" Applejack asked, in which the others looked at the purple unicorn for answers.

"Well, this was a small idea, but now that I think about it, it just might work." Twilight then started explaining her idea. "Now, my first plan was to ask of Rarity if she has any socks that were filly size so that Yemei can wear them and hide her paws. Also that maybe she could use some of her make up to make Yemei's muzzle look more like a pony's." After she explained her idea, everypony thought about it for a second, before they nodded and smiled at the idea that seemed perfect to keep Yemei a secret. And Rarity was rather happy that her talent could be in good use other then making a pony look good.

"Oh darling, this plan is absolutely flawless. I think I may have some filly socks since my sister isn't here to wear them. Yemei? Do you mind following me, sweetie?" She asked the wolf-pony, in which she shyly nodded and followed Rarity upstairs as the two were going to find some socks and try them on to see if they would fit.

Rainbow Dash then thought of something and approach the only unicorn in the room. "Hey, Twilight? Not trying to ruin your plan or anything. But what if somepony wants to talk to her? And what i they ask for a name?" Rainbow asked.

"N-name? Her name? Oh no! Why didn't I think this through? What if somepony sees her teeth? What if they think she's a freak cause of her teeth or name. I know! Their might be a spell for this. There HAS to be!" Before anypony could stop her, she ran out the boutique and was soon out of sight.

"Hey! Maybe we can think of a new name for Yem-yem!" Pinkie said as she looked at the other three.

"I guess we could." Futtershy spoke as she started thinking of a name.

After a moment of silence, Pinkie was the first to think of a name. "I know! What about Coco-Nut?"

"Does that name fit Yemei?" Rainbow asked, knowing that it didn't.

"Chocolate Harmony? What about Moon Pedal? Little Glow? Nightlight Cake! Midnight Snow!"

"Pinkie. Just stop. None of those sound good enough to be Yemei's names." Rainbow snapped as she quickly put a hoof in her mouth to stop her from listing any other names. "Besides, I have the most awesome name for the little squirt." She said, starting to remove her hoof from Pinkie's mouth.

"Oooooooooh! What is it? What is it?" Pinkie asked, sounding excited and wanting to know.

"Midnight Wing." She answered.

"Uhm, Dashie. She ain't got no wings. She's an earth pony if you saw she doesn't have wings or a horn." Applejack said.

"Shoot!" Rainbow stomped her hoof in anger.

The room went silent again as they went back to thinking.

'What pony name would fit Yemei?' They all thought in unison.

Chapter 11: The Adjustments

View Online

It was quite a long time since Twilight left and Rarity was still upstairs with Yemei doing who knows what. Pinkie still mumbled some names that didn't quite fit the wolf pony, Rainbow kept on thinking of pony names that would fit Yemei if she was a pegasus, and Applejack and Fluttershy was thinking silently. Sometimes the two would tell each other their name idea, but the other would think about it before they rejected the name. Rainbow was now just laying on the floor, tapping her hoof as she waited and called it quits on thinking of a name.

After a moment of silence, Pinkie let out a surprise gasp as it seemed she realized something. "Ohmygosh! I completely forgot!" Pinkie quickly got on her hooves. "Now Yemei is a new pony! And I have to throw a "Welcome to Ponyville" party!"

"Uhm, Pinkie? Didn't you already throw a "Welcome to Ponyville" party once Yemei learned how to speak and eat regular food?" Rainbow asked, in which she got Pinkie all in her face.

"Of course, silly. But she's a pony now. And if ponies see her and realized that I didn't throw a party for her, they might get suspicious and curious and one thing might lead to the next and they'll know that Yemei is a human and not a pony! I HAVE to throw her a "Welcome to Ponyville" party for pony Yemei." At that, the pink pony ran right out the boutique and the others were left to think about what Pinkie said.

"She does make a point Rainbow." Applejack said as Rainbow looked at her before she went back to resting her head on one hoof while the other was busy tapping the floor.

She then yawned. "Whelp, guess that's my cue to start catching some Z's." She said as she got up and went to Rarity's fainting couch and laid down on it. As soon as her face hit the decorative pillow, she was out like a light and snoring lightly.

"Well shoot, guess it's just you and me then Flutters." Applejack said as she looked at the yellow pegasus. She noticed that the shy mare was deep in thought. She had her hoof over her mouth as she looked down, her eyes looking focused and transfixed on the floor. Applejack waved a hoof in front of her and Fluttershy didn't move at all.

Applejack shrugged as she decided to not mess with her and go back to thinking names.

Another few minutes passed and the sound of hooves coming down the stairs were being heard. Applejack got up from the floor and urned to see Rarity and wolf pony Yemei...only, Yemei looked more pony and less of a wolf.

Both Yemei's mane, tail and coat were fixed to look better. Her eyes were still the same. She looked down to see her hooves covered in socks that were black and looking rather nice. She looked back to see that Yemei was also wearing a collar with a purple Opal gem in the center. She also had a brighter purple bow atop of her head.

"Rarity, ah know that ya own a boutique, but Twi only asked fer Yemei ta wear socks, not be a young super star." Applejack said.

"Oh, I know, but when I saw her looking at a purple garment I made for a client, I couldn't help but see that she looks absolutely divine in dark colors, especially purple." Rarity said. "I do hope that Fluttershy won't mind if I make a few outfits for little Yemei. I already made a few sketches while Yemei was trying on the items." She then turned to Yemei with a rather embarrassed look. "I'm sorry that I didn't help you out that much sweetie."

"It's okay aunt Rarity. I know that when your in the zone, you can't be disturbed." She said, in which she had a small pat on the head from the white unicorn.

"Aww~ Your such a dear." She nuzzled Yemei's cheek as the little filly blushed pink.

Yemei saw that her mother didn't see her yet and she went over to her. "Momma! How do I look?" Yemei asked as she smiled cutely at her mother.

Fluttershy snapped out of her thinking as she looked at her daughter and her new look. "You look so beautiful." She smiled. She then brought her daughter in a warm and gentle embrace as she nuzzled her head. Yemei smiled as she rubbed her cheek against the shy pegasus' chest. "My little Yemei." She mumbled.

After some time, she let go of Yemei and looked down at her. "Hey Yemei?" She got the wolf pony's attention. "I also thought of a new name for you."

Yemei's eyes widen. "What? A new name? Why would I need a new name." She tilted her head in confusion.

"Well, Yemei. You need a new name to go with your new form." She explained. "Some ponies may want to talk to you and your name isn't really, what we may call, normal. And we're also going to spend more time outside now that you can be with me and don't have to stay silent when we're out."

"R-really? Now we can spend more time outside?" She smiled.

Fluttershy only nodded to her question, in which the little filly started to hop around and cheer.

The other mares smiled at the sight while one of them was a bit nervous that she might ruin the socks.

That was when Twilight came in with a smile and a book in her levetational grasp. "I got it!" She shouted.

"Huh? Got what?" All the others said simultaneously.

"A spell that I can use to hide Yemei's wolf-like teeth." She said. "I'd never believe that somepony would make a spell like this, but it seems that once Starswirl met a pony kind that actually is carnivorous. They lived in the Badlands and due to the unfertilized soil they couldn't grow any crops, and instead had to live by eating the fishes in the river." Twilight then opened the book to read the information in the passage. "Of course, even with the food and water being dealt with, I would be lying if I said that their kind died long ago."

"Are you saying their still alive?" Rainbow asked, being awoken by Yemei's happy cheering.

"Well, Starswirl never said that they went extinct, but for all we know they could be in hiding all over Equestria. For all we know, the magic used to hide their teeth might be natural to them all these years now." She said. "Now! Yemei, can you please come over to me?"

Yemei looked back at her mother, to which she nodded in approval as to tell her "It's fine. Go ahead." The small filly then got up and slowly came up to Twilight. She was still a bit nervous around her, but not to the point where she couldn't even talk to her at all. Twilight's smile only got a bit bigger as she was glad that Yemei would trust her enough to do this.

Once Yemei was close enough, she sat in front of her, waiting fr what she needed to do to make her look more normal.

"Show me your teeth Yemei." Twilight said, in which Yemei did so. Now Twilight could see her nice sharp teeth. In her head, she wished she could take notes and sketch out now the teeth and jaw line looked, but she knew it wouldn't be right to take notes behind her friend's back.

Twilight then took a steady breath, as she put the book on the floor and was now concentrating on the spell all together.

The other's watched in silence as the intelligent unicorn's horn started to glow, low at first, then brighter as the seconds passed. Yemei felt a bit weird as it felt as if something was in her mouth and she couldn't spit it out. Fluttershy was a bit nervous over the thought that the spell might not work or that something worse might happen.

Then, a huge beam of light shot out of Twilight's horn and into Yemei's mouth, shocking everypony but the said two. Twilight needed to concentrate while Yemei had to stay still, but who's to say that Yemei's widened eyes didn't show that she was surprised as well. Now she didn't feel anything and it looked as if her teeth were changing forms, but in reality, it was only a cloak to hide her real teeth. And when it looked like it was finally going to die off, a binding light covered the whole house and all the mares shouted in surprise.

They had their eyes covered as the light died down and they soon brought their hooves down to see what happened. They saw that Twilight was on the floor and out of breath while Yemei was still sitting where she was and covering her mouth and seemed to be cleaning something off of it.

"Yemei!" Fluttershy quickly went to the little filly while Applejack and Rarity went to check on Twilight.

"M-Mommy? Is Twilight okay?" Yemei looked over at the purple mare, seeing her slowly get up from the floor. It seemed that the smart mare heard her since she nodded and looked at Yemei.

"Yemei? Are you fine? Did the spell work?" Twilight asked as she slowly approached her, as did Applejack, Rarity and even Rainbow Dash.

"Does it looked like it worked?" She then showed a big smile as it showed that the spell worked and she looked like she had normal pony teeth. The others gasped as Twilight smiled just as big and Fluttershy only smiled a little.

"I can't believe it worked! I didn't believe that I did it!" Twilight said as she took a closer look. "But this doesn't mean that you can only eat plants now. If I didn't say this before, Starswirl's spell was just a cloak to the real fangs and teeth for the ponies." Twilight then started rambling on how he used one of the carnivorous ponies and even brought them to his village and how things worked in his town.

Fluttershy brought Yemei into another hug as she was glad she was okay. "I'm so glad that your okay, sweetie. I wouldn't know what to do if something happened." She then remembered something. "Oh! I forgot that I didn't tell you your new name yet. But, you should know that this is just a public name until we find a way to change you back."

"What do you mean, Momma? I can still change." As son as she finished that, she shifted back to her human form. She still had her human clothes on and even the socks were on her hands and feet, but it seemed that they changed from gloves to socks and her bow and collar were the same as before.

"Oh, my." Fluttershy said. Yemei then shifted back as she sat in front of her mom.

"So what's my pony name? Huh?Huh?Huh?" Yemei said, eager to know what she calls herself now.

"Simple, it's Wild Heart." She answered.

"Wild Heart? Why?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Well, it's cause your just like a little wolf pup, and since wolves are mostly wild, I decided to put that part in first. And because your such a sweet little thing and care for everyone, I added heart to the next part. And that's where Wild Heart was thought of." Fluttershy explained.

Ye-I mean, Wild Heart smiled as she hugged her mother. "Thanks Momma, I love that name."

Chapter 12: The Harvest

View Online

It has been three days since Wild Heart was first publicly seen in Ponyville in her second "Welcome To Ponyville" Party, and it was strange that nopony never walked up to her and talked to her. It seemed that they saw her as just another filly on the street. Wild Heart felt a bit uneasy at how she was ignored and unnoticed. But Fluttershy comforted her and told her it would take some time. The closest that she got from ever meeting a pony was getting a merchant in the market to greet her and her mother.

Throughout those three days, Wild Heart was taught about certain things about pony life. She was taught how to pick up things with her hooves and mouth, how to trot and gallop with her hooves and even how to move her hooves in a different way then what her wolf form would do. It seemed that today would be a regular day for Wild Heart

But fate decided to change the schedule a little.

~

"Yemei! Can you come down please?" Fluttershy called down for her.

"Coming Mom!" Yemei called as she skipped a few steps before she was in the kitchen with her mom and sitting down on the table. She saw that breakfast was made for her and she started eating her eggs and toast.

"Uhm, Yemei. I need to let you know on what we're going to do today. Or, more like me." Fluttershy spoke after some time.

"Huh? What do you mean, momma?" She asked before taking another bite of the toast.

"Well, I have to go and count the new baby bunnies that were just coming out of their homes. Applejack is going to help me, but I want you to not be there. You remember the last time what happened."

Yemei looked down as she didn't need to say anything yet. "I thought Angel would let them know that I was that wolf." She mumbled.

"It's okay sweetie, accidents happen." She said, but it's fine. Now you can explore the town with Apple Bloom since her sister is gonna be quite busy." She said. "And don't worry about her being a bit surprise about your change. Applejack made sure to let her know." A knock then came from the front door. "Oh. That might be her right now."

Yemei was left on the table as Fluttershy put her dish in the sink before she went over to the door and opened it, showing a worried looking Apple Bloom.

"Where's Yemei? Is she okay? What happened?" She frantically said to Fluttershy.

"Now, now, Apple Bloom, Yemei is perfectly fine. But please don't look so worried, it might make her worried about you instead." Fluttershy said, watching how Apple Bloom calmed down and soon looked relaxed and normal. "There, that's better. Now would you like a snack? Maybe we can go to the town meeting where we'll give your sister her gift."

"No. I'm okay miss Fluttershy. And to be honest, Applejack seems a bit different." Apple Bloom said.

"Different? What do you mean?" She asked, to which the yellow filly just shook her head.

"Nevermind. Maybe it's just me. Ah mean, Granny and Big Mac didn't really look that worried." The little farm filly just said out loud as she started walking inside the hut as she sat down on the couch. Fluttershy just mentally shrugged and went back in the house.

Yemei was finished with her breakfast as Apple Bloom walked in. "Howdy Yemei!" Apple Bloom said.

"Oh. Hi Apple Bloom." Yemei said with a smile as she got off of her seat and got a strong hug from the apple filly.

"Yemei, ah heard what happened and ah'm sorry I didn't warn ya of the Everfree Forest." She apologized as she broke the hug and bowed down in apology.

"No, no. It's okay. It was my own fault." She said.

"So, ah heard that sumthin' went wrong with your wolf form." Apple Bloom said after awhile.

"Oh! That thing. That's actually a great thing that happened, but my momma still wants to find out what went wrong." Yemei said, in a small flash of light, Yemei changed form from a regular human girl to a little filly that's also part wolf with the added appendages and fluff of added fur.

Apple Bloom was quite shocked on Yemei's new form, but was happy on the inside that she didn't have a cutie mark either. She got a good look at her as she walked around her and saw that she had a bit of a plain color scheme where their were different shades of brown. "Wow, Yemei. You practically look like a little filly." Apple Bloom finally spoke.

"Yeah. I do. And when I put on some socks to hide my paws, I pretty much look like any filly you'd see on the block." She said. "Speaking of, I gotta put them on. Can you wait for a little bit?" Yemei asked.

"Sure. Ah don't mind." She said as she waved her hoof off a little. Yemi only smiled as she quickly galloped up the stairs and to her bedroom to get her socks. Apple Bloom took a seat on the couch as Fluttershy just sat down on the floor. After some time, Fluttershy was the first to break the silence.

"Uhm, Apple Bloom?" She said.

"Yes?" The small filly answered and her attention was on her now.

"Can you promise something?" She asked.

"Of course Fluttershy. What is it?" She replied.

"I...I want you to make sure that Wild Heart will have a good time with you today." She said.

"Wait, Wild Heart?" AB tilted her head.

"That's Yemei's pony name, Wild Heart." Fluttershy simply said.

"Oh! Well don't worry miss Fluttershy. Nuthin' will happen and we will stay clear of the Everfree Forest." Apple Bloom said. "Again, ah'm sorry for lettin' that happen. I should've told her 'bout it before we even started ta play." She added.

"Don't worry Apple Bloom, accidents happen and I know it wasn't all your fault." Fluttershy said as she placed a gentle hoof on the yellow filly's shoulder. Apple Bloom only looked up at her with a small smile on her face.

"I'm ready!" The voice of Wild Heart broke the minute of silence as she came down with the socks, collar and bow on her, as well as her purse that was strapped around her neck and resting on her side. She had a big smile on her face as she couldn't wait to go outside with Apple Bloom and actually talk to her while in public.

Fluttershy of course made sure to let them know of the certain rules that they had to follow while outside, in which the two nodded and affirmation that they would follow them. The yellow pegasus smiled as she decided to take them to the celebration of Applejack's bravery last week when she saved the town by steering a stampede of cows from the town and most likely cause lots of damage in the town. That happened a day after Yemei's transformation.

By the time they got there, a lot of ponies were already there and the three soon found Twilight and the others as they were standing together for the great celebration. Yemei heard from her mother that they set up a party for Applejack and the small filly was a bit excited on how the farm mare would react by this whole thing being dedicated to her.

'I would really be happy about this if it was me.' She thought as she realized that ponies were being quiet as Twilight got up in font of the stage behind a podium. She had a stack of flash cards as she spit them, brought them together, and aligned them as she pulled the first one up.

With a small smile on her face, she began. "Welcome, everypony! Today we are here to honor a pony we can always count on to help in matters great and small." She switched the flash card to another one. "A pony whose contributions to--" She was then interrupted as Rainbow flew in and slammed her hoof on the podium, making the flash cards scatter out of Twilight's magical grasp and started talking.

"Did you see Applejack's slick moves out there? What an athlete. This week she's gonna help me with my new flying trick, and I know it's gonna be so awesome."

Before he could continue, Twilight shoved her off the podium with a hoof. "Exactly. And..." Twilight levitated her notes again, only to lose her concentration as her face was met with the puffy pink mane of Pinkie Pie.

"This week, I get to run Sugarcube Corner for the first time." She randomly stated.

Twilight leaned to the right of Pinkie and pretty much asked what most of the ponies watching was thinking. "What does that have to do with Applejack?"

Pinkie blinked twice before she spoke again. "Oh. Applejack, one of the best bakers ever, is gonna help me. Applejack makes everything great, so free samples for everypony!"

At that, everypony including Wild Heart and Apple Bloom cheered at the announcement. 'I know that me and AB are going to be the first to try those treats!' Wild Heart thought.

Twilight didn't seem all that amused as she pushed Pinkie off the podium and the pink pony was easily knocked down as a puff of dirt showed at her impact to the floor. "Oh-kay, that's great. Now if I could just make a point without being inter--"

That was when Fluttershy shyly approached the podium and lightly tapped the unicorns side. "Twilight?"

"--rupted." Twilight seemed a bit ticked off, but still moved out of the way as Fluttershy was behind the podium now. She dropped the flash cards again as she moved out of the way.

"Twilight, I'm so sorry, but I just wanted to mention that Applejack is also helping me this week with the official bunny census, where we count up all the new baby bunnies that were born this season. She's gonna help gather them using her wonderful herding skills."

As Fluttershy explained her small statement, Twilight seemed to relax a little as she seemed to be thinking of something. But that soon came to a halt as Fluttershy looked over at Twilight as she was saying the last of her announcement. But Twilight was still showing that she was a bit angered that she kept on being cut off by her friends. Fluttershy soon noticed as she slowly moved away and off the stage.

"Anyone else? Anyone?" Everyone was back where they were and they were either looking away or paying attention in silence. "No? Well then, as I was trying to say..." She stopped as she saw the mayor looking at her with a small smile. That was her limit as she threw the flash cards everywhere and groaned as she walked off the stage. "Urgh! Never mind."

Mayor Mare calmly walked behind the podium as she cleared her throat. "And so, with no further ado, it is my privilege to give the prize, Pony of Ponyville Award, to our beloved guest of honor, a pony of the utmost trustworthiness, reliability, and integrity. Ponyville's most capable and dependable friend: Applejack!" She waved a hoof as the curtains were pulled away and the crowd cheered to see...nothing.

Applejack wasn't here.

The crowd immediately went silent as she saw she was missing, but Spike didn't see as he was the only one cheering. "Cool! Way to go Applejack, that was awesome! I mean-- heh." He quickly went silent as he showed a fool of himself.

But the mayor seemed to be the most embarrassed as her ears went down and she cleared her throat.

"Awkward." Spike said out loud but low enough that the mayor didn't seem to notice.

After he said that, they all heard the voice of the guest of honor through the crowd.

"I'm here. I'm here." She let out a yawn and a sigh "Sorry I'm late--whoa--I was just... whoa... Did I get your tail?" While she was walking through the crowd, she sounded like she was bumping into a lot of ponies and even stepped on somepony's tail. She went up the stage and was soon behind the podium with Mayor Mare. But it only lasted for awhile as she pushed the tan mare away. "Miss Mayor. Thank you kindly for this here... award thingy." She let out another yawn as she got out from behind the podium and went to the trophy itself. Wild Heart could tell that she seemed really tired and she was acting like Fluttershy did when she came back from the Everfree; tired and bags under her eyes.

"It's so bright and shiny and," She seemed to be looking at her reflection as she started to laugh a little. "I sure do look funny heh."

Yemei couldn't help but smile at how silly Aj was acting and started going back and forth as the apple mare's reflection did the same.

"Ooo-ooo." Applejack was making some sounds as she kept on moving around to see her reflection on the trophy change. Soon Pinkie was right next to the other earth pony as she too joined in.

"Woo-ooo." Pinkie was doing the same sound with Applejack.

The whole time, Twilight was watching the two, until she noticed that they stopped Woo-ing and were just leaning back and forth in front of the trophy. "Okay. Well, thank you Applejack for saving us from that scary stampede, and always being there for everypony."

Applejack seemed to be done with fooling around as she let out another yawn. "Yeah. I like helping the ponyfolks and" She let out a much longer yawn. "and stuff." Not even a minute and it seemed that she fell asleep while standing on stage. Both Twilight and Pinkie were watching if maybe she'll wake up quickly. Twilight looked away just for a second before Applejack quickly woke up with a shake of her head. "Oh, uh, yeah. Uh, Thanks."

She then grabbed one of the handles of the trophy and started dragging it while she was walking backwards. The sound of scraping medal was heard as the trophy was being dragged. Everypony watched her as she was still dragging the trophy off the stage, through the crowd, and obviously back to her farm. While she was dragging it through the crowd, Twilight was the first to speak.

"Was it just me, or did Applejack seem a little--"

"Tired?" Rainbow Dash tried to finish.

"Dizzy?" Fluttershy spoke next.

"Messy?" Rariry said, making the others look at her with a raised eyebrow. "Well, did you see her mane?" She said, looking at Rainbow.

Pinkie did her signature bounce walking as she was right next to Twilight. "She seemed fine to me." She then went on with making the same sound that she and Applejack were making earlier.

"Hmm." Twilight hummed as she cast another glance at the small orange speck that was the tired farm pony.

Wild Heart looked at Apple Bloom for an answer she may have. "Well, she might be tired cause she's working on applebuck season by herself cause Big Mac can't buck anymore cause of his injury." She said.

"Do you think we could help her?" Wild Heart asked.

"Ah don't think so. She seemed pretty determined to do the whole harvest by herself." The farm filly replied. "Either way, why don't we see Rainbow Dash do a few tricks fer us?" She asked with a smile. "Ah can't wait to see what my big sis is gonna do to help Rainbow."

"I guess we could watch for a little while." Wild Heart smiled.

"Race ya there!" Apple Bloom quickly shouted as she started running to where the blue pegasus left after awhile.

~

To say the least, it wasn't as fun as they thought it'd be. Rainbow did a few tricks for them, but not for long since she said that she wanted to be ready to do this amazing trick that she needs Aj's help with. When the two fillies asked what, she simply said she'll explain when Applejack comes. All they could do was figure out what the trick was with a large see-saw and a large platform that was a meter or two off the ground.

By now, Rainbow seemed to get a bit impatient as she was tapping her hoof on a fence post she was standing on. Wild Heart was about to question how she's able to balance on it, but she saw Applejack galloping over and decided to forget about asking. 'It might be a pegasus thing.' She thought.

Rainbow was quick to notice as she still had her impatient look on her face. "There you are."

Applejack's mane and tail seemed a bit disheveled as she let out a loud yawn. "I'm a mite sorry, Rainbow. I was busy applebuckin' and I guess ah, I closed my eyes for a second and, when I woke up, I was late. Now, what's this new trick a' yours?"

Rainbow smiled a little as it seemed she understood her situation. Bit she quickly pointed a hoof at the see-saw and large platform that was both made out of wood. "See this contraption?"

"Uh... Yeah."

"Well, I'm gonna stand on one end, then you're gonna jump down from that platform, launching me into the air faster than I can take off on my own. Once I'm in the air, I'm gonna do some amazing flips and spins that are sure to impress the Wonderbolts." Rainbow explained as she seemed to be giddy with excitement, but Applejack thought otherwise.

"Isn't that a mite dangerous?" She asked, still looking at the contraption.

"Pfft, Heh, not for a pony who can fly." Rainbow answered as she hovered in front of her before she flew off to get ready on the see-saw.

Applejack only smiled as her pegasus friend flew over her. "Well, all right-y then." She said as she started climbing up the wooden tower.

"This is gonna be great!" Apple Bloom said with a smile as she was just as excited as Rainbow. Wild Heart thought differently.

'Even if this does work, wouldn't the impact hurt Applejack?' She thought, not wanting to ask out loud and maybe stop all this from happening.

Soon, Applejack was atop of the tower and she started looking down at the other side of the see-saw that had a red X on it. It was a bit blurry cause of her tired eyes. "Oh my."

Rainbow looked up at her with a smile as it seemed she was the one that gives the signal for Applejack to drop. "Ready? One... two... THREE!"

Applejack jumped off, but missed the mark as she crashed into the dirt floor beside it. Both Wild Heart and Apple Bloom winced, not wanting to know the pain the orange mare was feeling. Rainbow Dash went off the plank as she walked over to Applejack that was still on the floor.

"Umm... maybe I wasn't clear. You're supposed to land on the other end." While she was talking, Applejack was getting up, but it seemed that her muzzle was a bit stuck on the floor. Her muzzle quickly popped out of the ground and her eyes were spinning at the hard impact.

"Got it." She said.

"Are you sure you want to try again?" Wild Heart asked.

"Don't you worry a bit Apple Heart. Ah'll be fine." Applejack roughly petted the wolf pony as her mane was ruffled a little.

After that, every time Applejack jumped, she would miss it and hit the floor. After the fourth time, Applejack got up and Rainbow started to question Applejack's strange behavior. "Applejack, what the hay is going on? I mean, I thought I was working with Ponyville's best athlete!"

Applejack started shaking her head as it seemed she was trying to stay awake. "You are. I'm okay. Really. I-I have an idea. Watch this." Applejack then reached over to the other side of the see-saw that was still in the air. With the strength she still had, she pushed the plank down to touch the ground, climbing onto the other side of the see-saw and making Rainbow go up on her side of the plank. Rainbow seemed the least amused "Ta da!" Applejack soon noticed the angry glare that Rainbow was giving her. "Oh... Maybe not. Okay, one more try. I'm sure to get it this time." Applejack got off the plank as her weight was off and the side Rainbow was on quickly went down, making the blue pegasus loose her balance and fall off her hooves with a "ugh!"

Rainbow was a bit dizzy as she didn't get up for awhile and Applejack was on the platform before she could regain focus. Applejack was squinting down at the mark on the see-saw as she seemed to got a clearer sight of the mark she was supposed to land. She chuckled a little. "Here I go!" She went back a little before the two fillies and one pegasus saw her jump off.

Rainbow's eyes shrunk down to pinpricks as she waved her front hooves frantically. "Wait," But it was too late as Applejack hit the mark and Rainbow was catapulted into the air. "Applejaaaaack!" Her voice faded as she only got farther away from the group of ponies left back.

The two earth fillies watched in shock as they saw the rainbow streak of the blue pegasus' mane trail behind her as she was soon a speck in the sky.

"You're welcome!" Applejack shouted back as she turned away and was making her way back to the apple farm.

After some time passed, Apple Bloom was the first to snap out of her shocked state. "D-do you think she'll be okay?" She asked the wolf-filly.

"She did say that it won't be dangerous for her. Maybe she'll focus in the air and try to stop herself from crashing." Wild Heart answered.

"Ah guess. Wait, if Applejack is gonna be like this all day, she might ruin the treats her and Pinkie are gonna make!" Apple Bloom quickly realized.

"And mommy's bunny census!" Wild Heart added.

"We gotta warn them!" Apple Bloom said.

"Yeah! You go tell Pinkie while I tell my mommy." Wild Heart said.

They both nodded as they went their separate ways to do their part on their little mission.

~

After some time, the two met up by the fountain and they both had a sad look on their faces.

"Ah'm guessing it didn't go well with Fluttershy." Apple Bloom said, sounding as if it was a question.

"Same?" Wild Heart asked, in which they both nodded at the same time.

"Pinkie just went on 'bout how awesome mah sister is and that she'll never ruin a good dish." Apple Bloom explained.

"And mommy just thought I was a bit loopy after seeing what Applejack did and said it was just my imagination going wild." Wild Heart did the same.

They both sighed as they knew the town was going to be in ruins by how tired Applejack has been.

"Do you want to just hang out in the park?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Sure." Wild Heart showed a small smile. "Race ya!" She quickly shouted as she started running off, Apple Bloom having to take a while to start running as well.

"No fair!" Apple Bloom shouted as she started to catch up with the brown filly.

~

Once they arrived at the park, the ran to the highest hill in the park and stopped. They stopped running and were now busy catching their breaths. Wild Heart was leaning against the tree atop of the hill while Apple Bloom just went limp on the floor and was laying down on her side.

After some time, Wild Heart was the first to speak. "I...I beat ya." She said with a smile.

"Th...that's cause ya got a head start." Apple Bloom replied.

"You did that when we were racing to see Rainbow's stunt." Wild Heart said as she walked over to her and sat down next to where Apple Bloom was laying down.

"That is true..." Apple Bloom said as she slowly got up into a sitting position.

When some silence went over the two again as they looked at the other fillies and colts playing in the park, Apple Bloom broke the silence instead. "So, Wild Heart." She started, in which she got the wolf-filly's attention. "How are ya taken' a likin' to being a pony?" She asked.

"It's alright. Not any different except that I can talk in public without trying to not catch anypony else's attention." She answered. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh, nothing really." The apple filly couldn't help but look back at Wild Heart's bare flank. "Ah can see that yer a blank flank too." She smiled a little.

"A blank what?" Wild was a bit confused on that.

"Ya know. A blank flank. A pony who doesn't have a cutie mark yet." She explained. "Ah know it might be wrong of me to say, but ah'm kinda happy that ya don't have a cutie mark yet. Only me and mah friend Twist don't have our cutie marks in mah class."

"You mean that place you go to sometimes have other ponies as well?" Wild asked.

"Yeah. It's called a school. And fillies and colts around mah age go there and learn a lot of things. Like math, equis, science and history." Apple Bloom said. "And by how ya look, ah think you can fit right in if ya join."

"That would be really awesome. I could learn so many things, and I can hang out with you and that other friend of yours." Wild smiled as she was now gitty with excitement as she wanted to go to school and meet all the ponies around her age and make so many friends.

"That would be awesome. Maybe you can make yer mom join the class. It'll be so much fun with another friend." Apple Bloom smiled just as big as Wild Heart.

But before they could even get up and go on their next mission, they heard the shout of Rainbow Dash's voice.

"STAMPEDE!"

As soon as she said that, she saw the many mares, stallions and fillies running to their homes, leaving Apple Bloom and Wild Heart the only ones left in the park. They heard another mare in the crowd shout the same thing and both Apple Bloom and Wild Heart saw a stampede of bunnies run through the town. The ran around an earth pony mare that seemed to have fainted after she saw the large group of bunnies.

It was finished before it even started as the two fillies saw the bunnies start eating gardens, potted plants and baskets of fruits and veggies. Wild Heart saw her mother soon catch up with the crowd of bunnies. Twilight seemed to come at the same time when the results of the stampede was showing. Twilight let out a surprise gasp as she saw three mares on the floor.

"The horror, the horror." A tan earth pony with two-tone red mane and tail said. Wild remembered that her names was Rose.

"It was awful." A pink mare with yellow mane and tail, who her name was Lily Valley.

"A disaster. A horrible, horrible disaster." The last mare on the floor who was a different shade of pink with green mane and tail instead, her name being Daisy.

Twilight looked at the town, not seeing any problems with no destruction at all.

"I don't get it." Twilight said, looking rather confused.

Lily Valley was the first off the ground as she saw her garden that was now nothing but trampled flowers and stubs of what used to be other flowers that were eaten. "Our gardens, destroyed."

"Every last flower, devoured." Rose said as she was in front of a bunch of potted plants that were nothing but stems and leaves.

"By... by... THEM!" Daisy pointed a hoof by the crowd of bunnies that were either roaming around or still eating flowers or food. It seems that Fluttershy was't doing such a good job.

"Oh my. Oh... Please stop, little bunnies. Oh no! Please, let's go home. Oh my goodness." Fluttershy was trying to make them go back to the field in which they lived in.

Wild Heart quickly ran over to her mother. "Momma, what happened?" She asked.

"Oh, Ye-I mean, Wild Heart, I thought that Applejack would make this bunny census a bit easier, but it seems that she caused more trouble then when you tried to help. N-not that Applejack is bad at d-doing her job or anything." Fluttershy explained.

"Do you...do you think I could help this time?" Wild asked.

"Well, I guess they won't be scared of you now that your a pony. I guess you can help out." Fluttershy said.

"All right. Enough is enough." Twilight said as she started walking off to Applejack's farm.

~

Wild Heart wiped her brow as she, Fluttershy and Apple Bloom finished herding the bunnies back to the field in which there homes were, the apple filly wanting to help out after Wild Heart asked to.

"Thank you so much Yemei and Apple Bloom." Fluttershy said, seeing as they were alone and she could call Wild Heart by her real name.

"It was no trouble momma, I had fun herding the bunnies." Wild Heart said.

"Me too. And maybe I got a bunny herding cutie mark." Apple Bloom turned her head to see that their was no cutie mark on her flank yet. Her ears went down as she was upset that she was still a blank flank.

"It's okay Apple Bloom, maybe your cutie mark might be even better then bunny herding." Wild Heart said.

"Yeah, ah guess so. So Yemei, are ya gonna tell yer mom about...ya know." She nudge the brown filly a little before she remembered.

"Oh yeah!" Wild Heart tugged her mother's mane lightly to get her attention. "Momma? Can I go to the same school Apple Bloom is in?" She asked.

"Sc-school? Well, I, uhm, don't you like being taught things with me?" She asked in response.

"I do momma, but I want to meet more ponies, make some friends my age. Can't I make more friends?" She said.

"Of course you can, I'm just a bit worried is all. I mean, some ponies aren't as nice as I am." She said, remembering how she was bullied in flight school cause she couldn't fly properly.

"It's okay mommy, I know that if anypony tries to be mean to me, I can just ignore them, or I can just be nice to them and they'll just be bad about being mean to a nice pony." Wild Heart said.

"I...I just have to think about it." Fluttershy said.

"Oh, okay." Wild's ears went down as she looked upset that she didn't get a yes for an answer.

Before Fluttershy could say anything else, Rainbow Dash flew in. "Hey Flutters, we gotta help Applejack with applebuck season. Come on!" And as soon as she came, she left.

"I...I guess I have to go now. If I don't come home before the sun goes down, just wait in the cottage for me." Fluttershy said, only to get a small not from her daughter, the small filly's head pointing down at the ground. Fluttershy sighed, right before she started flying off to Applejack's farm.

"It's okay Wild Heart. Ah bet that miss Fluttershy will tell her friends and they might convince her to come to mah school." Apple Bloom said as she rubbed the wolf-pony's back.

"Yeah. I guess that might happen." Wild Heart kicked a small pebble as she thought that she'll never be able to go to any school cause of her mother.

Chapter 13: The School

View Online

Fluttershy and her friends already finished harvesting the last of the apples and they were all meeting back at the farm house. After the rather small talk with Wild Heart, Fluttershy couldn't help but think about the thought of her daughter going to school. And all the possibilities that something bad might happen while she was at school.

'What if Yemei changes form in front of somepony? What if she trips and the sock comes off? What if I have to tell Cheerilee Yemei's secret and she would have to show the class? And if that happens, what if she gets picked on cause she's different? And what if they-' Fluttershy's thoughts were cut off as she accidentally tripped on a rock and fell face first onto the floor, in front of her friends that were all in front of a table that had some apple juice on it with straws in the bottle.

"Uh, Fluttershy? Are you okay?" Applejack asked, walking over to her and helping her back on her hooves.

"Oh, uhm, yeah. I... I'm okay." She answered.

"You sure? Your mind seemed it was in a whole nother world." Rainbow asked.

"Oooooh! Really? What did the new world look like?" Pinkie asked, getting confused looks by everyone.

"Yes, Rainbow. I'm fine." But the yellow mare decided to let her friends know what was on her mind. "It's just... Yemei asked me for something that I couldn't help but be worried on what would happen if I allowed it."

"What was it, sweetheart?" Rarity asked.

"Well... she asked if she could go to the same school that Apple Bloom is in."

"That sounds like a great idea!" Pinkie said. "She could have so much fun and learn many things! But she could also be outcasted, alone and picked on for the rest of her pony life!"

Fluttershy let out a fearful whimper as Rainbow hit the back of Pinkie's head. "Oh! Sorry, their's really a super low chance unless one or two fillies might pick at her, but that'll never happen since Yemei is the bestest little filly ever!" Pinkie quickly added after she saw how scared Fluttershy looked.

Twilight sighed as she walked up to Fluttershy, placing a hoof on the yellow mare's shoulder, making the shy pegasus look up at the unicorn. "Listen Fluttershy, I know it may seem a bit scary seeing someone you love go try something on their own for the first time. To be honest, my parents didn't like the idea of me being taught under the wing of Princess Celestia. I mean, when you think about it, I could be in so much danger since I know some ponies may not like the Princess as I do. But even with that fear in their head, they knew that it would be better for me and them.

"Just ask yourself: Would Yemei be better without going to school? She'd be in the cottage all her life, talking to animals and never having another friend her age except Apple Bloom. And just like my teacher tells me, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger."

Fluttershy was silent the whole time. She actually thought about it. She could picture her little Yemei, locked in her room and looking so depressed and alone. That actually looked worse then her being picked on. 'Their could be a possibility that Yemei would just ignore them, or even be nice in response.' She thought.

"Twilight's right Flutters. And if she ever gets picked on, Apple Bloom will be with her and she could always tell us." Applejack spoke.

"Yeah! Yemei is already awesome. I think it would be better if she shared her awesomeness to fillies her age." Rainbow said.

"Yes. And she could show off her nice socks and accessories. I could make her a nice little outfit for her on her first day of school." Rarity said, her eyes sparkling as she pulled out a sketch pad and started making outfit designs.

"Come on Fluttershy, do you really think that Yemei would have a bad time at school?" Twilight asked.

"I... I don't think so. B-but what if someone sees her changing forms?" Fluttershy asked.

"Flutters, ah don't think that Yemei would do that. She wants ya to be happy for her, and she won't change forms just for somepony else." Applejack said. "While you were herding the bunnies back to their home, did Yemei ever change forms? Even while it was just you and Apple Bloom?"

"N-no. She didn't." Fluttershy answered.

"But even when all of us are saying she should go, that doesn't mean you have to agree with us. She's your child and you make the choice. Either way, we'll be there for you." Twilight said.

The other's nodded and made sounds of agreement.

"Now come on everypony, these apple juice aren't gonna drink themselves." Applejack said, starting to walk back to the table. The other's soon joined, Fluttershy being the last.

Applejack then let out a small sigh. "Girls, I can't thank you enough for this help. I was acting a bit stubborn."

"A bit?" Twilight asked.

"Okay. A mite stubborn, and I'm awful sorry. Now, I know the town gave me the Prized Pony award, but the real award is having you five as my friends." She said, Spike walking up to the table next to Pinkie Pie. The other's then started to take a sip of the apple juice and Rainbow was the first to stop.

"Phew! That applebucking sure made me hungry." Rainbow said as she did seem a bit out of it.

"And I've got the perfect treat." Spike spoke as she showed a tray of muffins that were the ones that Pinkie and a tired Applejack made, in which it turned out bad.

"Eeew... Spike, I threw those all away. Where'd you get them?" Pinkie asked, bringing a hoof closer to her in disgust.

"From the trash." Spike simply answered.

"EW!" All the ponies said in unison, they all decided to get a real snack from Sugarcube Corner as they started making their way to the bakery.

"Just a little nibble? Come on." Spike said, hoping that at least one might take a bite.

All he got was more "Eww"'s and "Gross" as others made their own statement on the disgusting treat.

All except Fluttershy who was thinking about Yemei going to school again.

~

It's been two days since Applebucking season and the day Yemei asked to go to school. Fluttershy still didn't give her an answer as she was either too busy to talk or had some other excuse to not answer Yemei's constant question.

That is, until Yemei did her rare temper tantrums.

"I wanna go I wanna go I wanna go...! I wanna go! I wanna go to school...! It's not fair!" Yemei shouted as she ran all over the house, startling animals, knocking things down and annoying some of the other animals.

"Yemei, hurry up and finish your food." Fluttershy said as she stayed in her seat on the table. She finished her food as she washed the dishes and was drying them as she turned her head and spotted Yemei sitting between the fridge and the wall.

"I know it's supposed to be a secret...but I can stay a filly. But you know... I can do it..." She sniffled.

"Oh, Yemei..." Fluttershy said. She then knew she couldn't hide it anymore. "Yemei?" She got the human's attention. "If you finish your food, I'll give you a little present."

Yemei instantly beamed at the thought of a present. She moved out of the little corner and started eating. She didn't rush, but she was a bit messy as she was eager to see the present.

After Yemei finished eating and Fluttershy washed her plate, Yemei was tugging at Fluttershy's mane in her filly form. "Come on momma! Whats the present? Whats the present?"

"Now, now, Yemei. You have to calm down okay." Fluttershy said as she started walking up to Yemei's bedroom. The two went inside as Fluttershy opened Yemei's closet and pulled out a small saddle bag. It was purple with a gem clip that was a purple Opal. On the inside of the strap was a sown image of Rarity's cutie mark.

"Why is there a tiny bag in my closet momma?" She asked.

"This is your saddle bag Yemei." Fluttershy said. "I decided to let you go to school."

Yemei's face quickly changed from confused, to shock, to instant happiness. "I'm gonna go to school!?" Yemei shouted.

"Yes, Yemei. Your going to school. But only in one condition." Fluttershy said.

"What is that?" The little girl asked.

"You have to promise that you have to stay as a pony." Fluttershy said.

"Don't worry! I promise." Yemei said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah! I'm gonna be fine." She said, opening the bag as she saw books, pencils and other school supplies.

"Promise?"

"Yeah, promise. With all my heart!" She closed the saddle as she looked at it in all angles.

"I even made up a little chant to help you out." Fluttershy said, getting the filly's attention as she was trying to put on the saddle.

"A chant?"

"Mhm. Whenever you feel like changing just say it."

"How does it go?" Yemei asked.

"I'm gonna be a good filly, all the way home." She said, tapping her chest with her hoof as she said that. "Simple, huh?"

"I'm gonna be a..." Yemei tried to repeat.

"Good filly all the way home." Fluttershy finished.

"I'm gonna be a good filly, all the way home." The two said together, the saddle off of Yemei. The two then laughed as it was a bit funny how they said it at the same time.

"Now that that's done. I want you to get some rest. We're going to go on Thursday." Fluttershy said as she picked up Yemei and placed her on the bed. "Goodnight, my little pup." She kissed her forehead.

"Goodnight momma." Yemei said, bringing the saddle close to her.

Fluttershy turned off the light as she walked out, she peeked through the door as Yemei was under the quilt as she did the small chant one last time before she giggled a little, Fluttershy closing the door with a small smile on her face.

~

"I'm gonna be a good filly, all the way home!" Wild Heart chanted as she was trotting ahead to the school, Fluttershy walking calmly behind. Wild Heart was wearing a nice little school outfit that Rarity made just for her first day of school. She had a white short sleeve shirt with a little tied up bow that was red and held together in a small white clip. She was wearing a black skirt and white socks with black shoes.

"Hurry up momma!" Wild called out to her mom as she stopped for a moment, before she continued trotting ahead while chanting the small saying that she was taught.

Soon they arrived at the schoolhouse and Wild Heart couldn't help but giggle in excitement.

"Now Wild Heart, you have to stay here until all the other ponies are inside. Miss Cheerilee is going to introduce you to the class." Fluttershy said. "I'll stay outside with you, but when you have to go inside, I have to stay behind."

"Your not coming inside with me?" Wild Heart asked.

"I'm sorry, but I can't stay with you in school." Fluttershy nuzzled the filly's cheek. "Now. Remember our chant."

"I'm gonna be a good filly, all the way home." They both said together, making the pegasus and earth filly start laughing.

"Alright, Wild Heart. You can come in now." Cheerilee said, making the two stop laughing.

Wild Heart looked back at her mother, her mother showing a warm smile. "Don't worry, you'll do fine. Last hug." Fluttershy said, giving Wild Heart a warm hug before she let go and the little filly was supposed to go into the schoolhouse. Wild Heart was hesitant, but started walking to the school.

Fluttershy still had the warm smile on her muzzle as she watched her daughter go into the schoolhouse. Once she couldn't spot the small filly anymore, she started walking back home. 'She's going to be just fine.' She thought as she was walking down the cobblestone road.

Meanwhile, back in the schoolhouse, Wild Heart was timidly standing in front of the classroom. She has never seen these many fillies her age. She saw Apple Bloom in one of the seats and she spotted a empty desk behind the yellow filly.

"Now. Would you like to introduce yourself?" Cheerilee asked, her coat color reminding her of a mixture of pink and purple color, her mane and tail being a light pink.

"Uhm... M-my name i-is Y-yem- I mean W-Wild Heart." She then bowed respectively. "I-it's a p-pleasure to m-meet all of y-you." She said.

"Oh, the pleasure is all ours. I really like your outfit. Who made that for you?" Cheerilee asked the small earth filly.

"A-aunt Rarity m-made this f-for me." She said. "S-she also m-made me the s-saddle as a s-surprise gift." She answered.

"Well, it's very cute on you. You can sit behind Apple Bloom. I hope that you know what lesson we're learning. We are doing multiplications in math." She said, getting some groans from her students that weren't at good as math as the others. Wild Heart walked over to the desk, but didn't see a pink hoof stick out in her path, making the small filly trip and kiss the ground, her bag opening and some of her school items spilling out and making a mess. Some of the students couldn't help but laugh at her clumsiness and two special fillies laughing as well.

Apple Bloom quickly got up her desk and helped Wild up. another earth filly got out of her desk and started picking up the supplies. The filly was white with red curly mane and tail. She was wearing big dark purple glasses that she sometimes had to lifted them up her muzzle when she was picking up the spilled items.

"Thanks Apple Bloom. I guess I'm so nervous that I tripped." Wild Heart said, rubbing the back of her neck and smiling a little.

"It's okay Wild Heart. Accidents happen." The yellow filly said as she helped pick up the last of the items before her and the white filly put the things back in Wild Heart's saddle.

"Thank you for picking my things up miss..." She said, wanting to know her name.

"Twist." The filly said, showing that she had a bit of a lisp.

"So your the pony that Apple Bloom told me about?" Wild asked, in which the two nodded.

"Well, I'm rather glad that you have a friend in the same class as you, but may you please take your seats so we can begin class?" Cheerilee asked.

"Yes miss Cheerilee." All three fillies said as they took their seat.

~

"Wow, Wild Heart, who would've thought that Fluttershy was a great teacher." Apple Bloom said as she was looking at the brown filly's worksheet that had all the questions answered and correctly at that.

"Yeah. My mom made math fun for me." Wild Heart said, right before the school bell rung and Wild screamed in surprise and hid under her desk.

"Uhm, Wild Heart? That's the school bell for lunch." Apple Bloom told her as she helped the brown filly out from under the desk.

"Oh... I knew that." She tried to play it off.

"Sure you did." Apple Bloom said sarcastically as she walked out the school house behind her.

The two then went on a bench in the back of the school as Twist was waiting for them. "Hey there Apple Bloom and Wild Heart." Twist greeted the two as they sat down.

"Heya Twist. What did you get for lunch?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Well, I got a Daisy Sandwich, an apple and some grape juice. What did you get?" Twist replied.

"Ah got some leftover's from last night, apple juice and an apple fritter." Apple Bloom answered. The two fillies then looked at Wild Heart.

"What?" Wild was confused.

"What did you get?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Oh, uhm. Well, I got a BLT, an orange and some chocolate milk." Wild Heart answered.

"What's a BLT?" Twist asked.

"It stands for bacon lettuce and tomatoes." She said.

"You mean Hay Bacon?"

"Yeah."

After that small conversation, the three started eating their lunch. What they didn't see was two fillies looking at them from the swings.

"Their's something wrong with that new filly, Silver Spoon." The pink filly said, her mane and tail being a light purple with a white streak in it. Atop of her head was a diamond tiara.

"What do you mean, DT?" The other filly on the swing asked, her coat being gray with a lighter shade being the color of her mane and tail, her mane being braided and hanging on the side of her neck. She also wore glasses that were a light blue and also wearing a beaded necklace of the same color.

"I mean that instead of being embarrassed of making a fool of herself, she apologizes and doesn't even accuse me of doing anything." Diamond Tiara said.

"Maybe she didn't see your hoof sticking out to make her trip." Silver said.

"It doesn't matter. Soon I'll be able to show how much better I am then anypony else at my Cute-ceañera." She said. "It stinks that my daddy had to schedule it later."

"Yeah. But don't worry. We still have so many moments to make that little filly feel terrible." She said as she rubbed her hooves together.

Soon the school bell rung and it was time for their next class. Twist and Apple Bloom were finished, but Wild Heart was still drinking her chocolate milk.

"Come on Wild Heart. Your gonna be late." Apple Bloom said, starting to throw out her trash. She went inside with Twist as Wild Heart finished the last of her drink.

Wild Heart looked around to see that everypony was gone. "Huh? Where did everypony go?" She asked out loud. She threw her items in the trash as she looked around to see if they were hiding from her. She used her ears to see if she could hear anypony nearby. It was silent for a second, before she heard movement somewhere. She turned her head to see the very forest she got lost in awhile ago. She looked around to see if maybe she could see what was moving close to the school.

She couldn't help but feel as if something bad was watching her. She started to growl like a wolf as her fur started to puff out a little, as did her tail and mane. She could feel her claws start to stretch out the socks she was wearing. She stopped at that, not wanting to ruin Rarity's work.

She then looked at the schoolhouse, seeing that everypony was back inside. She turned back at the forest to see that there was nothing there, and the bad feeling went away. She shook her head, as to show that she was just imagining things, and went to the schoolhouse, seeing that they were in the middle of a teaching and now all eyes were on her.

"Wild Heart? Why didn't you come in when the bell went off?" Cheerilee asked.

"I'm sorry. I was still eating my lunch an-" She was then cut off as a familiar pink filly got up off her desk.

"Their isn't any excuse for missing valuable school time." She said. "And nopony should stop class just because you came in late."

"Well, I guess that's true. Alright Wild Heart, I'll only give you a warning, but next time come in when the school bell rings." Cheerilee said, shocking the pink filly as her plan backfired.

Wild Heart only smiled. "Okay miss Cheerilee." She bowed a little.

"Good. Now go take your seat." The teacher said.

Wild Heart nodded as she made her way. She stopped only a moment to thank the pink filly, but the earth pony only turned her head away with a rather angry look on her face. Wild only shrugged as she went to her desk and sat down.

"Alright class. Now I am going to teach you about Pegasus and how special they really are then just flying ponies in the sky." Cheerilee started.

~

Wild Heart smiled as she walked out of the school and was on her way home she saw a poster for a talent show that was coming soon. Their wasn't a date yet, but she was even more excited for it. 'I wanna be in a talent show!' She thought as she didn't see two fillies coming over to her.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Wild Carp." Diamond Tiara said.

"Actually it's Wild Heart." Wild corrected her.

"Whatever. Don't think your all that special." She said. "I mean, if you were, you'd have a cutie mark to show how special you are."

"Oh, okay then." She said, a bit unsure on what she said.

"I mean, I have my cutie mark and so does Silver Spoon. But your nothing but a blank flank loser who's mother is a freak with friends being stray animals." She said.

Wild looked up once she heard what Diamond said. "N-no she isn't. She has lots of friends and she's the greatest momma ever."

"Momma? Seriously?" Diamond smiled. "Only blank flanks say momma like a little foal."

"Be quiet! At least I have more friends then you!" She shouted with tears in her eyes. "And I am special. I just have to wait even longer for my cutie mark that's better then a dumb accessory." That was when she started running off and went strait to the cottage and into her room. She then silently sobbed as she covered her face with her hooves. "Dumb pink pony." She mumbled.

"I'll get my cutie mark. And I'll rub it in that stupid filly's face." She said.

~Nightfall~

Within the woods of the Everfree Forest, a creature was walking through the forest, it's paws pressing against the dirt path and red glowing eyes looking forward as it sniffed the air once in awhile. "I will find you. And I won't be alone anymore." The creature said as it neared the end of the forest and soon spotted a cottage. But it's eyes quickly spotted a chicken coop and it smiled as its fangs were showing. "Or hungry."

Chapter 14: The Pranks

View Online

Yemei was sound asleep as it was the start of the weekend. The whole Friday she had before, she was trying to get her cutie mark. She started with physical talents, it being all types of sports. But sadly, they all resulted in some scrapes, bruises, and a worried mother. Yemei never told her mother why she was doing all this. But with unanswered questions, Fluttershy assumed that she just wanted to branch out her hidden skills within the filly. In all honesty, she was wondering if Yemei could even get a cutie mark since she isn't technically a pony.

As for school, Wild Heart works very hard and gets one of the more higher scores in worksheets and tests. On her first math test, she got a eighty five, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon getting a ninety. Wild only saw this as another reason to work even harder. In her mind, Diamond Tiara was her secret rival and she wanted to do everything to be better then her at something. She wanted to prove to Diamond Tiara that she can be better than a rich filly that can get anything with her words alone. Even if it was one thing, she would be the happiest filly in the whole class.

At the moment, Yemei was having a nice dream: running through a large field, the wind in her coat and the warm sun shining down on her. The day quickly turned into nightfall and Yemei was running up a hill, standing in front of it and about to howl at the moon as she always wanted to, but never did since Fluttershy used to tell her to not howl in the house. But before she could howl at the moon within her dream, a loud shriek was heard and she woke up suddenly, hearing the loud scream from outside. She looked out the window to see that her own mother was the source of the sound. It seemed that something was on the floor that made her mother scream. Yemei quickly ran down the stairs and out the door, not caring if she was still in her human form.

"Momma!" She called out as she was running to her mother.

Fluttershy quickly snapped out of whatever state she was in and turned to her daughter. "Y-Yemei." She quickly hugged the small human as the little girl could tell that she was crying.

"Momma? Why are you crying?" She asked.

Fluttershy touched her cheek to feel the wet fur on her cheeks. She then realized that Yemei was in her human form outside. "Th-that's not important. Let's go inside before anypony sees you." Fluttershy grabbed the human's hand by her wing and was guiding her back into the house.

Of course, that didn't stop the little girl from looking back.

Yemei's eyes widen in shock as she saw what she could tell was a duck. Only he was on the floor, not moving as she saw something red on and under it's neck, and other things she never saw before, within it's chest. Yemei wanted to ask what happened, but one look in Fluttershy's eyes told her that she shouldn't ask.

They were soon back inside and it seemed that Fluttershy was... different. Fluttershy asked Yemei to go get dressed while she was making breakfast. The little human did as told and got dressed. When she came back, Fluttershy was already halfway done with her food. Yemei was eating at her own pace as the shy pegasus was finished and was washing the dishes.

"Yemei? I'm going to be a bit busy today, so I want you to spend the day with Applejack and her family." She explained.

"Why can't I come with you?" Yemei asked as she finished her food. "Can I come?"

"I'm sorry sweetie, but I don't want you here for what I'm doing. Your going to get bored easily." Fluttershy lied at the last part. To be honest, she was going to bury the duck before going to the river and feed the animals by the river before sundown. When she thought about, she was a bit right thinking that Yemei would get bored over feeding animals.

"Oh, okay." Yemei looked away as she finished the last of her food and put her dish in the sink. "Do I have to be with the Apples again?"

"Well, you don't have to. But at least stay within the town so I know your safe." Fluttershy answered as she put a green saddle bag on with her cutie mark on the belt clasp.

"Okay then, I'll get my bag and see what Pinkie is doing." Yemei said with a small smile as she was on her way to do just that.

"Alright sweetie. Just stay safe." Fluttershy said as she put the clean bowl that Yemei used on the dish rack for it to dry. She waited for Yemei to be ready before the two left the cottage together. They decided to split when they arrived at the small park in Ponyville. Once they arrived, they stopped in front of a small fountain.

"Okay. Now that we're here, I have to go. Just remember to stay in the town so I know your safe. You can spend time with my other friends if you get bored or even find Apple Bloom and Twist." Fluttershy explained.

"Don't worry mommy, I'll be a good filly until it's time to go home." Yemei said, now in her pony form with the socks and bow on.

"And you remember when, right?" Fluttershy asked.

Yemei nodded. "Before Celestia lowers the sun."

Fluttershy nodded at the answer. "Right you are. I love you." Fluttershy then brought the small filly into a gentle hug and the filly didn't waist a second to return it. After they separated, Fluttershy started walking away with her saddle bag on her back, on her way back to the cottage, but in a different direction to make her daughter think she was walking to the river. 'I'm so sorry for fooling you Yemei...' She thought.

Once Yemei realized that she was alone, she wasn't sure what to do exactly. She then decided to just explore the park to see if there was one of Fluttershy's friends around. She knew that it was a small chance, but it wouldn't hurt to look either way. When she explored the small area, she saw a pair of mares on a bench, a pony watering some of the flowers by a tree, and she was surprised to see not only one, but two of Fluttershy's friends. It was Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle.

Twilight was laying down on a bench as she was reading a book and Pinkie also looked as if she was talking to someone. Yemei assumed it was Twilight, but she saw it was rude for her to not pay attention to one of her close friends. The small filly then made her way to the two mares.

"-overload! She was like a stunt superstar, flying higher and higher, and then Rainbow Dash swooped down--swoosh--and right before she hit the ground--shoom-she pulled up--vrrrmmm!" Pinkie said as she was moving around to try and recreate whatever she was explaining to Twilight.

"Uh-huh." Twilight said as she still had her eyes on the book.

Yemei decided to intervene at this moment. "Hi Pinkie, hi Twilight." She greeted.

"Oh, hi Ye-" Twilight tried to reply to Yemei, but Pinkie was fast enough to quiet the unicorn with a hoof. Pinkie only shook her head at Twilight before she turned to the little pony.

"Hiya Wild Heart!" Pinkie said. "Whatcha doin' out here in the park? Is Fluttershy around?" Pinkie then started searching for the yellow pegasus as she looked through bushes and even under a rock.

"Sorry Pinkie, but mommy is out doing some errands." Wild Heart said.

"Oh, okay." Pinkie simply said as she was now back towards the unicorn and brown filly.

"What were you talking about anyways?" Yemei asked.

"I was talking about one of my bestest-best friends Rainbow Dash and how awesome she was showing her flying moves." Pinkie said. By now, Twilight was back to reading her book.

Wild Heart wanted to know what Rainbow did that was so awesome even towards Pinkie. Pinkie seemed to have read her mind as she started explaining on what Rainbow did two days ago. Wild was into the explanation while Twilight was still reading silently.

"And then she looped around and around like whoo whoo whoo whoo whoo whoo whoo!" Pinkie was moving her head quickly as she was trying to see something that was too fast for her to see before she fell onto her back and looked up at the sky, it seemed that she looked up at the sky just in time to see the very pony she was talking about. Without another word, she got up and started following the flying pegasus. Between that moment in time, Twilight let out another "Uh-huh" before she let out a relieved sigh and turned the page of her book with her muzzle. Wild Heart decided to follow Pinkie as she felt nothing amusing would happen while watching Twilight read.

Wild caught up just in time to see that Pinkie caught the rainbow-maned peasus' attention. She thought she heard a angered grunt by Rainbow, but decided to think more around it.

"Pinkie Pie? Not again." Rainbow then flew a bit faster. Pinkie noticed and then instead of trotting, she went on a full gallop.

"Rainbow Dash." Pinkie called out to her again. Now Wild Heart was having a bit of trouble catching up.

"Not now, Pinkie Pie." Rainbow responded as she flew even faster. Wild Heart could tell that Rainbow wasn't in the mood to talk to the pink party mare.

"But, but Rainbow Dash–" Pinkie tried to get her attention again. By her tone, she could tell the same thing, but it seemed that she needed to tell Rainbow something.

"I'm in the middle of something." Rainbow said as she now had her hooves out to make her be a bit swifter in the air and to pick up speed as well.

Wild caught Pinkie looking ahead of herself then back at Rainbow. "But–"

She was cut off by Rainbow raising her voice. "I said not now--" But before she could continue, she was met by a rock wall. Wild winced, knowing that it had to of hurt. Rainbow then started sliding down the mountain with the pained expression still on her face. Pinkie was already at the bottom as she saw the blue mare now on the floor, her wings splayed out and all four hooves on the floor, also splayed out.

"I was gonna tell you to look out for that mountain." Pinkie said as Rainbow finally listened to her. All that Rainbow could let out was a low grumble.

"Are you okay, Rainbow?" Wild Heart asked as she caught up with the two. Rainbow got up slowly as she folded her wings back to her sides as she looked over at the small filly.

"Oh, hey Wild Heart. It's alright. Just a small collision. It's not like I made those before, but thanks for asking. I gotta go now, see ya later." Before the two earth ponies could say anything, Rainbow quickly flew off as it seemed she wanted to be as far away from the two as possible.

"She may have amazing moves in the sky, but she is still as clumsy as any other pony in Ponyville." Pinkie then started making her way out the park.

"H-hey Pinkie. Do you mind if I spend the day with you?" Wild asked as she walked beside the pink mare.

"Not at all. To be honest, I just had a super duper idea. I wanted to tell Rainbow, but she said she was busy. Maybe we can stop for a treat at Sugarcube Corner before we go searching for her. By then, maybe she would be finish with whatever she's doing." Pinkie said as she kept on skipping her way through the town and on her way to Sugarcube Corner, Wild following slowly behind.

~

After a moment of eating treats and talking about random things, Pinkie thought that they spent enough time in the bakery. "Alrighty then. Now that we have some tasty treats in our pony bellies, I think now's a good enough time to go look for Dashie." Pinkie spoke.

"Uhm, aunt Pinkie? Why do you need Rainbow?" Wild Heart asked.

"Simple, silly. I need her for a prank." Pinkie simply answered.

"Wait, your going to prank somepony?" Wild asked another question.

"Yeppie-deppie! Of course, I could ask Fluttershy, but she's busy doing errands and I don't want to stop Flutters from doing what she has to do, so I need Rainbow for this prank. If we don't get her, the prank won't work at all!" Pinkie explained.

"O-oh, I think I know what you mean." Wild said, not really sure if she did.

"So, unless there is a cupcake we haven't finished, let's go!" Pinkie said as she happily skipped out of the sugary shop. Wild Heart quickly caught up as she had no other choice but to follow the pink party pony.

After what felt like fifteen minutes, they were already walking by the Ponyville Spa, Pinkie humming a small tune as Wild Heart followed behind her so she could at least stay with somepony she knew.

Pinkie then walked towards a gray pegasus with yellow eyes that one seemed to be looking in another direction. The pink pony then stopped her happy trot as she got the pegasus' attention, along with some other ponies that were with her, one of them being the pony running the stand. "Hi, I'm looking for Rainbow Dash. Have you seen her?"

The pegasus simply shook her head to show that she didn't. Another pony was walking by and it seemed that Pinkie thought she'd know where the blue pegasus was.

"Hi there, have you seen Rainbow Dash?" She got the same answer as the gray pegasus gave her. "Okay, thanks anyway." That was when she caught Twilight looking at a few books that were up to catch any bookworm's eyes. Pinkie then thought that obviously another close friend of Rainbow would know where the blue pegasus was. "Twilight, have you seen Rainbow Dash anywhere?"

Twilight raised an eyebrow as she gave a much different answer then a head shake. "Isn't she right up there?"

Both Pinkie and Wild Heart looked up to see the familiar cyan rump with an even more recognizable cutie mark and rainbow tail attached to it.

"Rainbow Dash." Pinkie called out as All three saw Rainbow poke her head out from within the cloud, a small puff of it being on her head a moment before she looked around frantically, then shoot off of the cloud, breaking the cloud as it disappeared within the wind. Yemei watched as Pinkie merely started doing her signature bouncing as she followed right behind the speeding pegasus. Wild Heart decided to wait by Twilight as she was a bit curious about why she was looking through the store window.

"What were you looking at anyways, Twilight?" She asked.

"Hmm? Oh! I was just checking on the latest books to see if the Golden Oak has any of these already." Twilight said. "It seems that the library doesn't have one book, and I saw that it was here." She then pointed at a gray book with a neck tie on it. It was simply titled 'Fifty Shades of Neigh' by B.C. Flames.

"Fifty Shades of Neigh? What's it about?" Wild asked.

"Honestly. I'm not sure. That's why I'm going to purchase it and read it before I place it in the library." Twilight said. She then started walking in as Wild decided to follow and start looking around the shop. Their were small rows of different types of books of different types. She first went down an isle that had books called mangas and some themed Young Adult. Wild was more interested on the mangas since the front cover always caught her eye.

"Navy Sun? Mimi's Delivery Service? Spirit Consumer? One Key? What kind of titles are these?" Wild heart asked out loud.

"Well, that's just how the Japoneighs title their stories." A male voice answered as Wild turned her head to see a white unicorn stallion with black hair. He looked so simple, yet, so out of place. His cutie mark was of a strange creature with a black body, a white head, and tiny black horns on its head. It was in a position like it was waving at somepony.

"Japon...neigh?" Wild repeated.

"Mhm. They are by far the most creative ponies when it comes to literature." He said. "Are you interested in reading one?"

"I don't know. What if I don't like them?" She asked.

"If you don't like them, then that's alright." He said. With the power of his horn with a dark blue aura, he picked out a book that was small and pink. He brought it towards Wild Heart and saw the image of a pink colored mare with an orange mane that was curly on the end. She had a small red flower on her head as she was holding what Wild Heart could tell was a ferret. It was titled 'Peach Fuzz'.

"I think you'll like this one. Its easy to read and is for your age." He said.

Wild Heart took the pink book as the magical aura disappeared. "Why are you showing me this?" She asked.

"You just seem like a very curious filly that might want to venture into the imaginary word of mangas." He couldn't help but chuckle to himself. "Imagine if those books came to life and just started moving. That might be quite a sight."

Wild couldn't help but smile at that thought herself. "That might be really cool. Imagine just how they might sound like."

"Hmm. It's hard to think about it, but I bet they sound really nice or cool." He said. "Now I must be off, books won't be found on their own. I hope to see you soon little one." He smiled as he turned away and started walking further down the isle. Wild looked back at the book as she opened it and started reading it. Before long, Twilight was waving her hoof in front of the brown filly as it snapped her out of her trance.

"Wild Heart. Are you okay? You've had your muzzle in that book for ten minutes." Twilight said.

"Oh, uhm, sorry. I just started reading it and I love it so much." Wild said as she hugged the book a little.

Twilight smiled a little at that. "Don't I know that feeling. You know, if you want me to, I can get that book for you. And maybe the second part since I think your gonna finish that book fast."

"R-really? You don't have to. I can just put it back." She said as she was making her way before Twilight grabbed hold of her tail lightly.

"No, I insist." Twilight said as she levitated the book out of Wild Heart's hooves and took out the second part as she walked towards the counter. "Besides, I was going to let you pick a book out on your own since I know you can get bored at home. Considering what happened last time you were alone at home."

Wild Couldn't help but look down at the floor as her ears went down at that remark.

"I-I didn't mean that to be mean. I just don't want you to get bored next time you don't have anypony to be with." Twilight quickly said as she was nervous over hurting the filly's feelings.

"No. It's okay. I'm sorry for scaring you and everypony else." Wild said.

"Their's nothing to be sorry for, Wild Heart. Nopony saw this coming and we all know that you didn't do it intentionally." Twilight said as she draped a purple hoof over the filly for comfort.

Wild Heart could only look up the unicorn before giving her a small smile.

After the small moment of Twilight paying for the three books, she made the plan of seeing Fluttershy and giving her the two new books for Wild Heart so the shy mare could take it home with her then letting Wild carry the books all day.

And it seemed it was perfect timing as Pinkie returned with a rather exhausted Rainbow Dash. "Heya Wild Heart! Are ya ready to see what we got in store?" Pinkie asked the small filly as she lightly petted her head, making the said filly giggle at the touch.

"Mhm. I can't wait to see what it is." Wild said with a adorable smile.

"Well, I guess I'll just leave you with Pinkie and Rainbow. I'll give the books to Fluttershy or just bring them to your home. Are you okay with that?" Twilight spoke as she still had the two books in her magical grasp.

"You don't have to do that Twilight." She wanted to add more before she was cut off.

"Wild Heart, it's okay. I know it wouldn't be as fun as carrying books with you all day." Twilight insisted as she placed the books on her back with the books that she bought for herself. "And don't worry. I'll make sure not a single scratch or smudge is on it. And if your interested in these types of books, I wouldn't mind if you came to the library and read other types that you might enjoy." She smiled as she wanted to do what Pinkie did, but decided that she wasn't at that level of closeness to the pony disguised human.

"Oh, okay then. Thank you so much Twilight." She smiled as she approached the unicorn mare and gave one of her front hooves a gentle hug, Twilight blushing pink at the close and affectionate contact. Twilight only waited for the filly to let go before saying her final goodbye before walking off to do what she told Wild Heart.

"So, what's this thing that you have in store that I have to be dragged into." Rainbow spoke out as she was hovering with her wings, her front hooves crossed as it seemed she wasn't in a good mood.

"Oh, come on Rainbow. I said that this would be totally fun!" Pinkie said. "But first. Rainbow, can you get a cloud for me. Something not too big, or too small, and it has to be like any other cloud."

"Why would you need a cloud?" Wild Heart asked.

"It's for the totally cool plan that I wanted to do." Pinkie said with a smile as Rainbow got Pinkie a cloud without saying a word. "Thanks Dashie! Now, to the town hall!" Pinkie said as she started bouncing away without seeing of Rainbow or Wild was following her. But she didn't need to as the filly followed right behind her while Rainbow flew above them with the cloud still in her hooves.

~

Wild Heart sat next to Pinkie as the pink mare had her hooves up, her tongue sticking out in concentration as she had her eyes on the white thundercloud that Rainbow was flying next to. When she moved her hooves again, she spoke. "Over to the right." She stood up as Rainbow moved the cloud as Pinkie instructed. "No no, a little to the left." Pinkie quickly said as the rainbow mare was quick to fly to the other side and go the other way with the cloud. But she was halted as Pinkie spoke again. "Oh wait, back to the right." Rainbow didn't bother going to the other side as she gripped onto the cloud and flew backwards. "Now a little leftish while staying rightly." Pinkie said as Rainbow slowly moved forward with the cloud in her hooves. "Stop." Pinkie quickly said as Rainbow let go of the cloud. Pinkie had a smile on her face before she made a small 'Hmm' with her hoof on her chin. "Maybe a few inches to the south." Pinkie said with a small bounce. Rainbow slowly brought the cloud downwards when Pinkie spoke up again. "Now a couple centimeters north." Rainbow lifted up the cloud higher, Wild Heart noticing the irritated look on Rainbow's face as it seemed she wasn't enjoying this. "Okay. One more smidgimeter to the-- "

"Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow shouted as she was now fed up with Pinkies command on where to put the cloud.

Pinkie's eyes widened before she showed an apologetic look. "Uh, I mean, perfect. Now wait for my signal." Pinkie said as she also told Wild Heart to follow her, not wanting her 'victim' to notice the filly.

Pinkie, with Wild Heart by her side, slowly went up to the town hall as she went up the stairs and looked through one of the windows. Wild Heart did the same as she spotted Spike, Twilight's number one assistant, inside who was gathering a big tower of scrolls that were in his arms. She could faintly hear the purple dragon humming a small tune. Before he turned back to start walking out, Pinkie went under the window, pulling Wild Heart down with her as to not be seen.

Wild Heart glanced at Spike walking out of the building before she saw Pinkie give the signal, it her circling her hoof in the air before pointing at the pegasus. Pinkie already explained that the signal meant for Rainbow to hit the cloud. The pegasus mare, with a small smirk, gave a powerful kick to the cloud, it making the loud sound of thunder as Spike was halfway down the small stairs.

The reaction was immediate as Spike let out a loud 'D-aah!' as he dropped the scrolls and just stood there in shock. Pinkie came up to the dragon with a small smile. Not soon after, the small dragon let out a hiccup. Then another. And two more before Pinkie started to laugh.

"Oh Rainbow Dash, we startled Spike into getting the hiccups." Pinkie explained as Wild Heart couldn't help but smile at the endeavor. Rainbow only let out a small chuckle as Spike soon let out a small laugh of his own.

"Good one, Pinkie," He let out another hiccup. "Pie." He hiccupped again. "You're always pulling a fast one," He made his third hiccup. "on me." Pinkie could only show a smile that said she was proud of herself of what Spike said. The baby dragon picked up a scroll, starting to clean up the mess until he let out another hiccup, it accidentally bursting it to flames and a small smoke that started floating away. Spike let out a small 'Nnaa--' as the three ponies knew that what he really did was send the scroll to Princess Celestia.

"Oh no, you're not hurt are you?" Pinkie asked with a concerned look on her face, Wild showing the same look while Rainbow was just looking at the dragon, most likely seeing if she could spot anything wrong with him.

"Ne--" He hiccupped. "--eh, don't be," Another hiccup was heard. "silly, dragons are," The third hiccup returned. "fire-proof."

~Meanwhile~

Within the large walls of the Canterlot Castle, Celestia was reading a scroll that showed how things were coming along in Saddle Arabia. But she was snapped out of her reading as a scroll puffed in front of her and fell to the floor, the look of surprise and confusion on her face.

~

"Oh, okay, good." Pinkie said before looking back at Rainbow with a smile, the two knew what they were thinking about as they both started to laugh.

Spike was finally done gathering the scrolls as she let out another hiccup, it sending all the scrolls to one location. " I wish the same thing," He hiccupped. "were true with scrolls." He finished.

~

Back in the castle, Celestia was reading the scroll that was sent to her, the princess seeing that they were notes from her student and her recent studies about the magic of friendship. But she was snapped out of her reading once again with another 'poofing' sound as she looked up, gasping as she saw tons of scrolls as she didn't have enough time to cover herself as the scrolls rained over her.

~

Both Rainbow and Pinkie were still laughing as Spike was left to pick up the remaining scrolls he didn't see, only to hiccup and send them off by mistake. Wild Heart wanted to help, but didn't know what to do. Her attention was soon brought back to Pinkie as she spoke.

"Have you ever seen anything more hilarious?" Pinkie asked as she was back to laughing and rolling around in the floor.

Rainbow showed a coy smile as she answered the pink mare's question. "I can think of one thing." She then gave another kick at the thundercloud, it making another loud sound of thunder as it caught Pinkie by surprise.

"Aah!" Pinkie showed a look of fright before she started to hiccup as well. Even while hiccupping, Pinkie was laughing and had a smile on her face. This time, Wild Heart couldn't help but laugh as well.

"I didn't take you for a prankster, Pinkie Pie." Rainbow finally said as she flew off the cloud and landed in front of the party pony.

"Are you," She hiccupped. "kidding?" She hiccupped again. "I love to pull pranks. It's all," Another hiccup. "in good fun, and Pinkie Pie lo--" Fourth hiccup. "--oves to have," Fifth hiccup. "fun!" She finished with another hiccup.

"You know Pinkie Pie, you're not as annoying as I thought." Rainbow said as Pinkie let out another hiccup. "You wanna hang out?" She asked as Pinkie showed a big smile before she hiccupped again, it making her jump higher as she was stuck in the air.

"That'd be," She hiccupped as it made her go into another direction, Rainbow watching her as she wanted to know what she said. "I'd really," She hiccupped again as she was back in front of Rainbow. "When do," She hiccupped a third time as she was whizzed into a different direction. "I mean," She hiccupped a fourth time as Rainbow shook her head as she realized she wouldn't hear what Pinkie said if this kept on going. "When would you," She hiccupped once more as Rainbow placed a hoof to stop Pinkie as it was placed in her muzzle when she was halted by the cyan mare's hoof.

"A simple nod would do." Rainbow said as Pinkie did just that with a small 'Mmm-hmm.' to go with it.

"You could tag along too Wild Heart. I know Pinkie doesn't want anypony to be left out." Rainbow told the small filly as she was silent the whole time.

"Really? This is gonna be so much fun." The small filly smiled as she bounced a little with her hooves.

"Of course silly billy!" Pinkie patted Wild Heart's mane. "The more the merrier. And we could also use you for some pranks we can't pull without some little hooves."

Wild Heart only giggled at the petting as today was starting to be more fun then how it started.

~

After getting some supplies from the town's prank shop, Wild Heart, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash were ready to play pranks all over Ponyville, their first targets being their close friends. But their very first target was none other then Rarity. Pinkie had a bouquet of flowers set on the welcome mat on the fashionable mare's doorstep. Rainbow handed Wild Heart a blue container with a picture of a pony sneezing. 'Sneezing powder?' She thought. 'I guess this won't hurt.' She then tilted the container over the flowers as some of the pink powder fell into the flower pedals and blended in so that the pony wouldn't see it.

Once Pinkie signaled her to stop, all three of them hid behind a bush right after Pinkie ringed the doorbell.

"Is she even home?" Rainbow asked.

"I don't know." Pinkie answered before the top half of the front door opened. "This is gonna be gold." The two mares started giggling as Wild Heart had a smile on her muzzle as she was trying her best not to laugh.

"There she is." Rainbow said as Rarity walked into view as Pinkie and Rainbow went lower into the bush to not be seen.

"Ooo." Rarity said as she took a sniff at the flowers. But her muzzle was soon out of the bouquet of flowers as some of the powder was on her nose. She took in two short breaths before she started to sneeze. Not long after, the unicorn mare heard laughter as all three of the pranking ponies came out of the bush, Rainbow holding the container of sneezing powder. But Rainbow was quick to run off, dropping the sneezing powder as a puff of pink smoke hit Pinkie and Wild Heart. Pinkie let out a sneeze that even blew her away while Wild Heart was letting out rather adorable sneezes as she tried to fight the feeling, it being hard to run off while sneezing like crazy.

Rarity only raised a brow with an all knowing smirk, seeing as it was just Pinkie and Rainbow pulling a harmless prank on her.

~

Their second target was going to be Twilight. It seemed that she was finished delivering the books she got for Wild Heart as she was busy working on something. Before she even started, Pinkie was quiet and quick enough to replace her black ink with invisible ink. Twilight was looking at a flask of green liquid as she levitated it close to her. After the moment of just watching the green liquid, she turned to her parchment and quill as she quickly wrote something down.

While Twilight went back to her experiment. The thing she wrote down started to vanish. She was oblivious to what happened as she was pouring the green liquid into another flask that had blue liquid inside it instead. It quickly turned purple as it started to bubble as well. That was when she turned back to see her notes, but saw it was missing. Her eyes widened with a small "Hmm?". She turned back at the flask with the bubbling liquid as she turned right back at the blank parchment, putting her hoof on the sheet to see if she was just thinking it was gone. But she jumped in surprise as the purple liquid made a weird poof sound as some purple clouds were shown before they disappeared into thin air. She then looked at her ink jar before she heard the laughter off two mares and one filly.

Outside, Rainbow was holding the jar of invisible ink. All of them were busy cracking up as Twilight was showing the same smirk that Rarity was wearing, hearing around Ponyville that Pinkie pulls pranks and for her to watch out, but it was obvious that she got pranked good for her first time.

~

The next target was going to be Applejack in Sweet Apple Acres. This plan seemed rather difficult, but with Rainbow and Wild Heart working together, they were able to paint all the apples in different patterns and colors before Applejack came back to working. When the farm mare went out, her eyes widened in surprise as she let out a short gasp.

"Land sakes!" Applejack shouted as her ears went down. She heard some chuckling before she saw Pinkie, Wild Heart, and Rainbow wearing berets and holding pallets with some paint left on it. They were still chuckling, but it stopped as they saw that some of their 'work' was being chucked right at them.

They were quick to run off as Applejack had a hoof full of apples in one of her hooves while the other was throwing them. One of the apples went into the barrels of water as Applejack looked inside to see that it was just paint and she could just wash it off. The farm mare started to chuckle as she showed a smile that she should've known that Pinkie wouldn't ruin her apples for a silly prank.

~

Their last victim was one that none of them knew since they already set up the equipment used to prank whoever was at the wrong place at the wrong time. There, so called, equipment was a toy turtle that was stuffed with fluff and a little surprise inside that would quirt water at anypony who was in front of it. Rainbow was looking through a telescope while Pinkie was holding the trigger that would quirt the water using nothing but air force. Wild Heart was only watching from the sidelines as she didn't know anypony else she could stay with since she didn't like being alone after what happened with meeting Twilight as a human for the first time.

Pinkie was bouncing in excitement as she also made the trigger squeak with every bounce. "Is someone over there? Who're we gonna squirt? Who're we gonna squirt?" Pinkie said eagerly as some small squeaks were being heard by the small ball of air in her mouth.

Rainbow chuckled as she saw a familiar butter yellow pegasus. "Fluttershy." She answered without moving away from the telescope.

Both Wild Heart and Pinkie's eyes widened in surprise, but Pinkie was the one to speak. "WHAT?" She spat out the trigger as it fell to the floor with a small squeak. "Nononononono, we can't prank Fluttershy, I mean, she's so sensitive. It'll hurt her feelings, even our most harmless prank." Pinkie added, walking closer to the blue pegasus who was still looking through the telescope.

"Yeah, you're right." She moved away from the telescope as she blew a raspberry. "Huh. We need another victim who's made of tougher stuff." She looked through the scope again to see if maybe somepony else was there that they could prank on. Their was none.

Meanwhile, both Wild Heart and Pinkie were holding a laugh as they saw a black ink circle was around one of her eyes, more specifically the eye that looked through the telescope. Earlier when they were setting up for the prank, Pinkie put some black ink around the telescope with Twilight's ink that they swapped for the invisible one.

"So, who's it gonna be?" Rainbow asked as she still hasn't noticed the circle around her eye.

"Oh," Pinkie tried to start, but she couldn't help but chuckle a little, catching the blue mare's attention. "I've got someone in mind." Pinkie continued before she started chuckling once more. "The toughest around."

"Oh, awesome. Who? Who? Do I know them?" Rainbow asked a bit eager as she still didn't notice.

Pinkie approached the lake that was close to them. Pinkie started to giggle before she pointed at the lake. "Oh, yes." Rainbow followed as she saw her reflection and now seeing that she just got pranked herself. "You're very close." She giggled once more before Rainbow started chuckling herself.

"Good one, Pinkie Pie." She continued to laugh a little as she held a hoof out for Pinkie to hoofbump. Pinkie tried to bump it, but Rainbow moved her hoof just in time for the pink mare to miss. She tried again to meet the same results before she started to laugh, Rainbow and Wild Heart joining as they completely forgot about Fluttershy who was looking at the toy turtle. She bumped it, only for the turtle's head to be at an odd angle and stayed stuck that way.

~

Fluttershy gently tucked Yemei into bed as the small human was in such an exhaust state that she was already asleep. The shy mare was glad that Yemei wasn't alone all day as her daughter told her. She was also glad that the small human had such a great day with Pinkie and Rainbow. They haven't been spending enough time and today was just what the three needed to connect more. She smiled as she gently brushed the human's hair as she couldn't help but think back on this morning.

'What could've killed Bill. I know none of my animal friends have. I taught them well to not hurt each other and I give them enough food to not starve them to the brink of killing another animal.' She continued thinking as she slowly walked out of the bedroom and closed the door behind her using her one of her hind-hooves. 'Well, whatever killed him, they might come back for more. I think I'll bring Daisy and the little ducklings to the lake where they'll be much safer in their own environment.' She nodded as she made her mind on doing that tomorrow. 'I hope whatever did this only likes ducks and not any of my other animal friends... or Yemei.' Fluttershy's eyes widened a little as she thought about that. 'No. I won't let anypony or anything hurt her. She's my little pup.'

The yellow mares ears went down as she hoped that what she was telling herself was true. Meanwhile, a big black shadow was flying over the cottage as it was making it's way to a house in the clouds that actually was made out of clouds.

Chapter 15: The Griffon

View Online

Wild Heart sighed as she had a hoof on her cheek and just starred at the black board in boredom. The class was in the middle of a history lesson as the brown filly wasn't too fond of the subject. All they talked about is old mares and stallions that did things that somehow changed how Equestria was made. Of course, she knew that if ponies didn't learn from their mistakes, they'd only repeat them in the long run. Thankfully the bell went off at the right time.

But apparently Miss Cheerilee could tell when some ponies wanted to leave right away. "Now hold on little ponies. Don't think that you'll be leaving this school without some homework." She spoke, the h-word making the majority of the students groan. "I know that homework is rather boring, but this work is going to be quite easy. I want you fillies and colts to write a small report about a place in Equestria and about somepony who lives there. They don't have to do anything big and important, but I do hope that you at least put some effort into it."

After the small explanation, some ponies seemed a bit more relaxed as they seemed like they knew what to write about, Wild Heart included. Some ponies seemed to notice that Cheerilee was finished and were already out of the schoolhouse. Wild Heart was putting her notebook and pencil in her saddle bag when Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were walking pass her.

"Where are you going to write about DT?" Silver Spoon asked, sounding more like she was purposely asking that so that the brown filly would hear.

"Obviously I'm going to write about Ponyville and how my daddy's business practically made it on the map. I'll definitely get an A+ on this assignment." Diamond answered as she flipped her mane a little to her other shoulder. "And I bet Tile Kart is going to write some silly paper about her mom who houses dirty animals. For free."

"Ugh! Does she ever take a bath? I bet she smells like that dirty farm pony that blank flank is siblings with." Silver said as the small filly hearing this had her ears down as she didn't like what they were saying about her mother and her friend's sister. But she knew that it wasn't right to give the attention they wanted.

Wild Heart was quick to rush past the two rich fillies and gallop home so that no conflict would really start. Once she reached home, she went through the doors and placed her bag on the couch. She sat down on the floor as she couldn't help but look around to see if her home really was filthy with all these animals living with her. She could notice how some areas of the home had yet to be cleaned. She went to the closet to see if maybe she could help clean the home in some way, but when she opened the door, the first thing she noticed was an old fan that was tangled in a whole web of animal hair, it making her grimace on how long that took for it to become that way... or maybe how short of a time it lasted.

She kept on looking through the closet until she heard something clack under her hoof. She looked down to see what seemed like an old family photo of Fluttershy's family. She saw that both the adult ponies were pegasus. The older mare was yellow with red curly mane. She had a pair of green square glasses, flower earrings and a yellow beaded necklace around her neck. The stallion was instead a light green color with light pink hair that reminded her of either cake icing or ice cream. He also had a small moustache that was the same color as his mane. He wore a simple blue sweater with a white shirt underneath it as she could see peeking out from his v-shaped collar. She could tell who Fluttershy was, but she noticed there was a colt next to her that was a pegasus as well. His coat was a shade lighter then the stallions as his mane was long and yellow like the older mare's fur. She also noticed that Fluttershy has the same eye color as the stallion while the cold had the same color eyes as the mare. In the picture, the mare had a hoof over the colt while the two young ponies had their wings spread out.

Now she was wondering what these ponies names were and why she was never told that she had an uncle and grandparents. "I wonder if their just like momma." She said out loud. "Maybe I should write a report on them. I bet they do all kinds of neat things just like momma!" She smiled as she got up and picked up the picture, ignoring the dust that was now sticking to her tongue, the filly gaging a little while keeping the picture frame in her mouth. She placed the picture on the table, adjusting it so that it would stand upright.

That was when she noticed a note on the table. 'Huh?' Wild Heart was confusd as she took the paper and read it.

Dear Yemei,

I'm so terribly sorry sweetie, but I'll be busy today as well. I know you can make some haybacon sandwiches by yourself, and you can go outside if you want to. Just be careful and don't go anyplace you don't know, or follow anypony you don't know. I'll be back soon, I promise!

~Fluttershy

'Well, so much for waiting for momma to come back to ask about her family.' Wild Heart thought as she put in her one sided saddle bag that was only one bag on the side, it being the bag she uses when she goes out and not to school. She had her book that Twilight got her in the bag, some bits in case she wanted to buy something and a notebook with pencils and crayons in case she wanted to draw something. Ever since she read the book, she wanted to draw just like the artist who made the manga. Of course, it was harder then it looked while using your muzzle.

She then said goodbye to the animals who were in the house before she went through the doors again and was now going to enjoy a day outside. Of course, she could find one of Fluttershy's friends and spend time with them, but she felt a time by herself is what she wanted more.

~

Wild Heart sighed as she found a perfect place to sit down and relax. At this moment, she was busy practicing her drawings, though she could never get the wings right while one eye looked when the other looked to big or too small. Of course, before she could get angry at that, she decided that some time away from the notebook would calm her down and make the drawing just as she wanted. She opened the manga she was reading as she was enjoying the simple story of a little filly and her pet ferret that thought her hooves were scary monsters.

"I wonder if any of the ferrets at home think our hooves are big monsters." She placed a hoof on her chin. But before she could think any further, she heard a loud roar that made her look from her spot and see that someone she never seen before was roaring at her momma. It looked like it was half bird and half lion. A bion maybe? Or was it lird? She brushed the small debate in her mind away as she saw her mom run away with tears in her eyes before she flew away.

'I can't take this anymore! Why is everypony picking on momma!? She never did anything to anypony!' She thought as she gritted her teeth and galloped right for the bion/lird. As she neared her, she could har the thing speak.

"Ugh, please, all these lame ponies are driving me buggy. I gotta--" She didn't have time to finished as Wild Heart skidded to a halt in front of her. "Oh? Another lame pony? This better be--"

She didn't even have a time to finish as Wild Heart breathed in before she let out a wolf-like roar that was much louder then what the bion/lird made, it making the creature back away with widened eyes. She wasn't sure if it was from shock or fear. Before the bion/lird could speak, Wild Heart beat her to it. "Don't you ever be mean to my mother, EVER!" She said angrily as she even made the creature go down to her knees a little. "Now get out of my sight before I do more then roar." She threatened the bion/lird.

The griffon only ticked as she flew off without another word. Wild Heart was soon brought into a squishy embrace as she was encased in a field of pink. But she soon figured out who was hugging her when the thing spoke.

"Oh Wildie! I'm so proud of you. You stood up to that big meanie griffon when she roared at your momma." Pinkie said as she was quick to bring the filly to where the pink earth pony was sitting before with her milkshake. "How did you even make that roar? Last I check, ponies can't roar."

"I... I honestly don't know." Wild said as she fumbled with her hooves a little. "I didn't mean to roar at her. I just didn't like how ponies were picking on momma even though she didn't do anything wrong."

"Don't worry Wildie. I have a plan to make Gilda see how much these ponies aren't lame-o's." Pinkie smiled. "Pinkie Pie style." Her smile changed into a smirk as she has an evil plot on her mind.

Wild Heart couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, having a bad feeling on whatever Pinkie has planned for this griffon. 'This won't go well.' She thought.

~

Pinkie smiled as she was greeting the ponies with a small welcome as her plan was to throw a party to cheer Gilda the griffon up and maybe warm her up to how kind these ponies can be, kindness not being lame at all. It took Wild Heart some time for Fluttershy to come cause of her first and most recent encounter will the griffon not being at all positive. Though, even with her mother with her, she felt alone as Apple Bloom couldn't come as she was still doing her report that she had to make for history class.

While Wild Heart was eating one of the treats that Pinkie made for the event, she couldn't help but overhear what Fluttershy's friends were talking about the griffon.

"Who's this Gilda I've heard nothing about?" Applejack asked as she was currently talking to Rarity.

"I hear she's an old friend of Rainbow Dash. A griffon, so rare." The white unicorn answered as the last part seemed more like she was interested on how different the griffon's body structure was compared to a ponies, most likely thinking that for a new unique customer she might have.

The two started walking to a different area as Wild Heart couldn't hear what else they were saying. She took the last cookie from her plate before she walked to her mother's side and was now listening to the conversation that she was having with Twilight.

"You've met Gilda, right? What's she like?" Twilight asked as she was curious, most likely hearing about the encounter they have without knowing what really happened.

"Oh, um, well, I'll tell you later, Twilight." Wild Heart's mother said shyly as it seemed she was still too scared to talk about the bully.

"She's a big fat meanie." Wild Heart said angrily as she got the two mare's attention.

"Strange, that's what Pinkie said. I thought that she was just jealous cause Rainbow was hanging out with Gilda more then her." Twilight said before she looked at the front door. "Perhaps she's just having trouble getting used to Ponyville."

'Yeah right.' Wild Heart thought as she didn't think that was the reason. She noticed as her mother walk off.

Twilight looked around to see that no pony was nearby before she smiled a little. "So Yemei. How do you like those manga books?" She asked eagerly.

"Oh, they are really nice. Though, I wish I had something else to read when I don't want to read 'Peach Fuzz'." Wild Heart said as her ears went down a little.

"Well, perhaps I may be able to help. I mean, I do live in a library of course. Perhaps you can stop by and get a library card. Once you get that, you can take out as many books as you like and read tons of manga." She then leaned in a little closer. "But I think you should show me what your taking out first. Some books aren't as friendly as 'Peach Fuzz'."

"Really? That would be super great. Thanks a bunch. I'll be sure to visit soon." Wild heart smiled as she could only imagine what other stories she could read in an entire library of books of all kind.

"No problem. See it as a small apology gift for when we first met. I never really said sorry for nearly scaring the mane off your head." Twilight said. "I hope you can forgive me like I did to you."

"It's okay Twilight. That's all in the past and I forgive you." She smiled as she hugged one of her front hooves, the purple unicorn blushing a little as she placed a hoof on the filly's back to return the hug. But in all honesty, the bookworm couldn't help but feel as if she didn't deserve the hug she was receiving.

But before Twilight could speak her mind or for Wild Heart to release the hug, they heard a familiar voice call out a familiar name.

"Gilda!" Pinkie said happily as both unicorn and earth filly turned to see the pink party pony greeting the griffon that everypony has been talking about. "I'm so honored to throw you one of my signature Pinkie Pie parties, and I really, truly, sincerely, hope you feel welcome here amongst all us pony folk." Pinkie smiled bigger as she showed a hoof for a proper greeting of a hoofshake.

Both Wild Heart and Twilight's eyes widened as they saw a hidden buzzer on her hoof that was somehow blended inside the pink pony's fur. Gilda didn't see it and took the bait, her wings and feathers puffing out as the electric shock surprised her, while also making her dizzy for some reason, making her fall to the floor. Pinkie laughed as she showed the buzzer, Rainbow Dash starting to laugh as she approached the two while also not seeing the death glare that Gilda was showing. "Oh Pinkie Pie, the old hoof-shake buzzer. You are a scream."

"Yeah," Gilda started to chuckle a little. "uh, good one, Pinkie Pie."

"Come on G, I'll introduce you to some of my other friends." Rainbow said before she started walking away from the two.

"Right behind you Dash." Gilda said happily. At this time, Wild Heart decided that maybe this party might be a good idea after all.

'Maybe she's just acting tough to show how nervous she is to meet new ponies in a new town. Much more on how everyone's a pony.' Wild thought to herself as she decided to give the griffon another chance then jump to conclusions.

But before Wild could enjoy the party herself, Pinkie decided to introduce the griffon to everypony else. "Everyone, I'd like you all to meet Gilda, a long-time, dear friend of Rainbow Dash. Let's honor her and welcome her to Ponyville." Pinkie finished by giving Gilda a warm hug, to which the griffon showed her displeasure once she released the hug. But when all the other ponies cheered to show their warm welcome to Gilds, she could only show what looked like an uncomfortable smile.

Now was the time that Wild Heart felt that she can enjoy the party for herself as it seems both Rainbow and Pinkie were there to make Gilda seem welcomed. That is, until it seemed karma was coming for the griffon.

The majority of the party consisted of Gilda being pranked multiple times. From pepper in the vanilla lemon drops with a dribble glass to some re-lighting birthday candles. Everypony was having a blast and even a few laughs at Gilda being pranked, though the griffon wasn't so happy that she was the only one being pranked on. Wild Heart couldn't help but feel a little sorry for her as it seemed unfair. Was somepony deliberately pulling pranks on Gilda for a little payback, or was it just pure dumb luck that she was the only one triggering the pranks.

And once again, Wild Heart was snapped out of her thoughts as Applejack announced that a game was starting, it being Pin the Tail on the Pony. That was one of Wild Heart's favorite games every time she or Apple Bloom had a birthday party. She even remembered how she would take the purple tail and AB the red tail.

Wild Heart was waiting for what order the players were gonna go before Rarity spoke. "Oh, my favorite game. Can I go first? Can I have the purple tail?" She asked before she bent down to try and pick it up, But Gilda was quick to snatch it away before she spoke.

"Well, I am the guest of honor, and I'll have the purple tail." She walked past the white unicorn, ignoring the glare she was giving the griffon. Wild Heart was a bit upset that she couldn't have the purple tail, but she knew it was just a fake tail. Nothing to wine and cry for.

"Yeah, Gilda should definitely go first. Let's get you blindfolded." Pinkie said before Spike pulled out a blue cloth and tied it around Gilda's eyes, the griffon showing her discomfort.

Wild Heart watched as Pinkie spun the griffon while also explaining the game. Once Gilda was dizzy enough, Pinkie guided her to stand in front of the poster while also finishing her explanation. But it seemed that Gilda only saw this as another prank.

"Now just walk straight ahead and pin the tail." Gilda mocked. "Hmph, yeah, right. This is another prank, isn't it? I'm going this way." Gilda turned around as she was walking the opposite direction. Pinkie tried to tell her that she was walking away from the poster, but things only got worse as Gilda slipped over a piece of cake icing and was shouting in fright as she didn't know where she was going. Everypony watched as she slipped into the kitchen, creating more of a mess on the floor. She walked out of the kitchen, covered in cake and icing as it also seemed the blindfold fell off of her face.

"Uh, Gilda? You pinned the tail on the wrong end." Pinkie joked a little as everypony but Wild Heart laughed. It also seemed that the brown filly was the only one who saw that what Pinkie said was the final straw and the griffon snapped.

Everypony went silent as Gilda let out a loud and angry roar, it somehow making the icing and fake tail fly off of her before she flew into the open space of the bakery. "This is your idea of a good time? I've never met a lamer bunch of dweebs in all my life." She then turned her attention to the party host as she said her name. "And Pinkie Pie, you! You are queen lame-o with your weak little party pranks. Did you really think you could make me lose my cool?" Gilda got all into the party mares face as Pinkie didn't seem that much intimidated as she still had a small smile on her muzzle. Gilda then landed next to Rainbow Dash before she draped a talon over the pegasus' neck. "Well, Dash and I have ten times as much cool as the rest of you put together." Gilda moved her talon off of Rainbow before she started to make her way to the door. "Come on Dash, we're bailing on this pathetic scene." Gilda saw that Rainbow wasn't following and she spoke again. "Come on Rainbow Dash. I said, we're leaving."

Wild Heart looked back at Rainbow, the cyan mare staying silent before she finally spoke. "You know Gilda, I was the one who set up all those weak pranks at this party." Rainbow admitted, making the griffon gasp in surprise and shock.

"What?"

"So I guess I'm queen lame-o." Rainbow said as she glared at the Gilda.

"Come on, Dash, you're joshing me." Gilda said as she now was feeling embarrassed, thinking that maybe Rainbow was pulling her leg.

"They weren't all meant for you specifically, it was just dumb luck that you set them all off." Rainbow explained before Pinkie spoke out.

"I shoulda known, that dribble cup had Rainbow Dash written all over it." She said as she was looking at Spike.

"No way. It was Pinkie Pie. She set up this party to trip me up, to make a fool of me." Gilda said as she looked back at the party pony.

"Me? I threw this party to improve your attitude. I thought a good party might turn that frown upside down." She said. Wild Heart had a feeling that Pinkie would want to help Gilda by giving a good party to cheer her up.

"And you sure didn't need any help making a fool of yourself. You know, this is not how I thought my old friends would treat my new friends. If being cool is all you care about, maybe you should go find some new cool friends someplace else." Rainbow finished as it seemed that what she said didn't sit well with Gilda.

She let and angry growl before she spoke up again. "Yeah? Well you, you, you are such a, a flip-flop: cool one minute and lame the next." Gilda turned away from the pegasus as she started to walk away. "When you decide not to be lame anymore, gimme a call." She fifnished with a door slam as everypony was watching the door before Rainbow spoke.

"Not cool."

~

"Dumb ponies. Dumb Pinkie. Dumb Rainbow. Ugh! Who needs those lame ponies when I can make some cool griffon friends." Gilda spoke to herself as she was walking by herself, most of Ponyville being either at the party or working at their own job. The lone griffon was busy being angry about her old friend to notice a small filly following her. That is, until she felt something tap her flank.

"Ugh, what do you--" Gilda turned to see a rather familiar looking filly in front of her. "Hang on. Aren't you that pony that actually roared at me? What do you want? To give me more then a roar just cause I ruined that lame party?"

Wild Heart wasn't sure if she should speak up or not. But instead of speaking, she pulled out a small cupcake that was on a small plate, it being on her back. She placed it on the floor in front of the griffon as she only raised a brow.

"Is this some sort of goodbye prank? Well, I'm not fallin' for it." Gilda said as she turned away from Wild Heart.

"N-no. It's not. I mean, I promise it isn't." Wild spoke out. "I know that you just yelled at everypony cause you were a bit upset that you were constantly laughed at. I... I know how that feels." She then nudged the cupcake closer to the griffon. "I also saw that you never got a piece of that cake that they made for you. You must be a little hungry since you never ate anything. Well, anything but that vanilla lemon drop."

"Don't remind me." Gilda shook her head before she looked back at the filly. "Why are you being nice to me anyways? From what I got earlier, I roared at your 'momma' for no reason."

"I know. And I am a bit upset about that, but nothing will change what happened. I just want to show that not everypony is lame. Or, doesn't pull pranks on griffons." She smiled a little.

Gilda sighed before she looked down at the cupcake. "If I eat this cupcake, will you stop being so goodie-goodie towards me? It's making me feel less cool."

"Well, I can't stop being kind. It's who I am." Wild Heart smiled. "But will you make up with Rainbow and Pinkie now?"

"Those two lame-o's? No thanks. If they want to be lame together, then I'm not stopping them." Gilda said as she took the cupcake and ate it in one bite. "Hmm, this isn't half bad."

"Please, I know that big mean griffon isn't the real you. I bet your super awesome like Rainbow." Wild Heart said as she smiled. "I mean, eagle talons and lion paws? And you have wings! I've never met a griffon before."

"Heh, I guess griffons are cool on their own." Gilda smiled a little as she had a pink blush on her cheeks as she was also a bit flattered. 'Maybe not all ponies are super lame...' She thought. She sighed as her smile left and she looked back at the bakery. "Guess I made a major mistake on losing my cool back there." She spoke out loud.

"So will you come back and apologize?" Wild asked.

"Sorry kiddo, but I think now isn't the best of times. Maybe sometime in the future we might meet again, and maybe then we can make amends, but not now." Gilda looked away. "And besides, I don't think me coming back a few minutes later apologizing after all that might make them think that I'm pranking them back to get a little revenge."

"Well, can you come back soon? I wanna know more about griffons. They seem super cool." Wild Heart smiled again.

"I'll try to hold up on that invite, but after I deal with Rainbow and Pinkie." Gilda smiled as she ruffled the filly's hair. "Anyways, I gotta fly now. Don't be a stranger if you have a chance to go to Griffonstone and try one of my scones. That's where I hang. Chow!" Gilda then waved before she took off into the sky, the brown filly watching the griffon become a brown and white speck in the sky until she couldn't see her anymore.

"Maybe I might write a report on Gilda and this Griffonstone place she lives at." Wild Heart smiled as she didn't bother going back to the party as she went to the library to work on her report. 'Gilda and the village of Griffonstone! That sound's like a super great title.' She smiled as she was thinking on all kinds of things to write in the report.

~

"Alright everypony. Today is presentation day on your report." Cheerilee announced as she stomped her hoof to get the little fillies and colts attention. "Now, who would like to go first."

"Oh! Oh! Me! I wanna go first Miss Cheerilee!" Wild Heart waved her sock-covered hoof as she was eager to show her report.

"Well somepony's eager. Come on Wild Heart and read your report." Cheerilee smiled as she watched the filly walk to the front of the class with a sheet of paper and a small wagon equipped to her, it carrying something that was covered in a small drape.

"Thank you Miss Cheerilee." Wild Heart thanked as she set the tiny wagon up beside her. She cleared her throat before she started.

"This weekend, my report is around a pony, who isn't in fact a pony, but is instead a griffon. Her name is Gilda, and she is a super cool griffon. She being the only griffon I've ever met. The first time I saw her, I thought she was a big bully, that didn't like ponies except for her old friend Rainbow Dash. She lives in a place called Griffonstone where other griffons like her live. Griffonstone is located on one of the peaks of the Hyperborean Mountains. According to the history text of "Bygone Griffon of Greatness", the griffons of Griffonstone were once as greedy as dragons, selfishly hoarding their bits and treasures. They were eventually united by King Grover through a treasure called the Idol of Boreas. With the griffons' newfound pride, Griffonstone had grown into a great and majestic kingdom. It has been some time since the kingdom has been seen by pony eyes, but I know that Griffonstone is just as beautiful. This story may seem like griffons are nothing but prideful creatures that might see themselves as better then ponies, but when you get to know them, you will see that griffons are just like the ponies you greet across the street. So this report is dedicated to Gilda, a griffon living in Griffonstone who sells scones to all the other griffons in their luscious kingdom." Wild Heart finished as she put the paper down. "And as a little bonus for my report, with the help of the owner of the Golden Oaks and close friend of my mother. I give you a paper mache version of the Idol of Boreas." She then removed the drape to show a child-version of the idol. Everypony gave their sound of awe and surprise. It looked rather nice as the center piece was actually made of glass that Wild Heart was able to get when Fluttershy gave her an old vase that she kept on her closet and Twilight was able to reshape it to make it sphere-shape instead.

"Wow Wild Heart, what a splendid report you've made. I especially liked the idol you made yourself. It will make a great addition to the school and show everypony how open we are to different kingdoms." Cheerilee praised as she stood by Wild Heart. "This obviously gives you an absolute A+ on your grade. I bet your mother will be so proud of you."

Wild Heart smiled as she was more then happy that she got a perfect grade on her report while also making a new friend that wasn't even a pony. Probably somepony who she could relate to since she isn't exactly a pony at heart either.

After another day of new discoveries, new friends, and even more fun in Ponyville, Yemi was now off to bed as she was now ready to get some much needed sleep. The small human was snuggled tight in her bed as she had her arms wrapped around a small fox plushie that her mother got her on her last birthday.

Yemei had her eyes close as she was nearing the state of entering dream land until she had a strange feeling. She didn't know why, but she felt as if she was being watched. She sat up as she looked around and even out her window. She saw something running into the forest. She didn't have time to figure out what it was before she couldn't spot it anymore. Yemei felt uncomfortable as she locked and covered the window with the curtains before she went back to bed and was now trying to find her sleep now while also wondering what that was that went in the forest, and why that strange feeling of being watched creeped her. Yemei yawned before she snuggled close to the bed and hugged her fox plushie tighter before she slowly fell asleep, her dreams being blank and silent as she actually felt calm in the black void that was her dream.

Chapter 16: The Secret

Wild Heart sighed as she had a hoof to her cheek and was busy reading a section of a text book that everypony was supposed to go through then answer the question. It was science class and pretty much some of the students there were silently reading while others were talking to each other while also working together to finish the work faster. Apple Bloom was sick today, so Wild was all alone.

Even though her mother wanted her to make more friends, she couldn't help but be fearful of how whatever happened to her to turn her into a pony might wear off and the friends she would make would avoid her cause of how different she looked. The digits of her paws moved from within her socks as she let out a small breath through her muzzle and just skimmed through the text. She yawned as she was reminded how from what happened four nights ago still made her too nervous to go to sleep, making her stay up all night until she went to sleep over exhaustion. She rested her head on the text book for only a moment, and the next thing she knew, she was already sleeping in class.

Miss Cheerilee saw the brown filly fall asleep on her desk, it being the second time this week. The magenta mare sighed as she got up from her front desk and walked over to the filly. She lightly shook the young pony, it making her quickly lift her head up. "Wild Heart? Are you okay?" Miss Cheerilee asked as she looked at her with some concern.

"Y-yes Miss Cheerilee. I'm fine." Wild Heart nodded.

"Are you sure? Is there something that's making you not get enough rest?" She asked another question, this being the reason of some previous events in which a pony couldn't sleep at night due to nightmares or something.

"N-no. I'm fine, really." The filly nodded with a small smile.

Cheerilee showed her own little smile before she let out a small sigh. "Alright then. But if something is bothering you, you shouldn't hide it. Sometimes it's better to tell somepony." She said before she rubbed the brown filly's back before she went off to help another student who had their hoof up.

Wild Heart still had her smile until Cheerilee left her alone. Once she was by herself again, she looked down at her unfinished work. She lightly patted her cheeks with her hooves, the hidden paws within the gloves flexing again before Wild showed a look of determination. With her pencil in her muzzle, she got back to work.

But what she didn't see, was a familiar gray filly watching as her best friend was busy copying her bestie's sheet onto her own paper.

Wild Heart stretched from her desk as she put her school supplies in her desk and put her sketch book and manga books in her saddle bags and went outside. She looked around to see if she could spot a perfect place to either read or practice her drawing. She first spotted an empty picnic table that was made smaller for the school ponies. She smiled as she sat down and placed her saddle on the table, it spilling out some of her art pencils and manga books. Since she was a bit tired from the school work, she decided that a little light reading would be better. Wild pulled out a thick book that says 'Hatsune Mix'. The book is mainly about a earth pony mare with large green pigtails that's actually a singer and actor who is also a robot. She also has other friend like two pegasus twins that are younger names Rin and Len. Many other characters are there too, but those three are in the majority of the short story.

She opened the book to where she put a bookmark on and continued to read it. Although it was a little hard to keep the book open with hooves that can cover some of the pages, she enjoyed reading the funny stories either way. While she was reading to herself, a lone gray filly was approaching her before she sat in front of her. Wild Heart didn't notice until the familiar gray filly spoke out.

"Hey! Smile Tarp or whatever." Silver said, making Wild look up and see the other earth pony fixing her glasses on her muzzle before she spoke. "What are you reading? Some foals picture book? What are you, two?" She asked as Wild was quick to pull her book away and put it back in her saddle with everything else. Wild grabbed her bag and was trying to find someplace else to try and find a better place to read. But of course, that would be difficult when a bully was following you.

"Picture books are so immature. I mean, why would somepony want to read something they can quickly read. That's so boring." She spoke out as she kept on trailing the brown filly who was only picking up the pace, mumbling the small quote to herself while also not seeing that she was nearing a area in which she could only leave the way she came in. Silver saw that they were alone now and saw this as a perfect spot. "Alright Tile Mart, I saw what you did in your socks. What are you hiding?"

Wild's eyes widened as she turned to look at Silver and was nervous. "Wh-what are you talking about?" She spoke.

"You know what I'm talking about. Either you tell me or I'll make sure that your filthy life will become even dirtier." She threatened. Of course she couldn't do that, but saying that always made the filly or colt to give in.

"N-no." She said. "You were seeing things." Wild added as she backed away a little.

"So what's making you nervous Wild?" Silver asked as she walked closer to her. "If it's nothing, then why are you looking guilty?" She kept on walking closer to Wild as the brown filly was pressing against the wall now.

"Stay away from me!" Wild shouted as she tried to push Silver off, but that only brought her closer.

"Why!? What are you hiding? What's hidden under those socks?" Silver pressed on as she had one last plan that was up her sleeve. 'If she's not gonna tell me, then she's going to show me instead.' She thought as she was waiting for the perfect opportunity.

"Leave me alone!" Wild shouted again as she was about to push Silver away, but that was just what the gray filly was waiting for.

When Wild tried to push Silver with her hooves, Silver stopped one hoof as the second one was just up in the air. The gray filly saw the opening and already had her teeth gripped on the black sock. But things turned for the worse. Wild saw that her sock was going to be pulled off.

"I SAID STOP!" Wild yelled as the next thing that happened just went too fast for the two to process.

At one moment, Silver was pulling Wild's sock off, and the next thing the two knew, Silver was on the floor, her hoof on a bad gash on her cheek while a section of her ear was bleeding, small spots of blood being on the wall. Wild was panting as the sock she was wearing had a large gash on the side, the claws of her paws being shown through the holes of the sock. But her eyes were one's of a wolf: Her brown nearly the same color of the blood staining the injured filly's coat.

Fluttershy quickly opened the front door of the schoolhouse. When she came in, breathing as if she ran in the 'Running of the Leaves', she saw that Silver Spoon had a large bandage on her cheek and her left ear covered in white gauze bandage. A peach earth pony with a yellow and orange mane and tail was rubbing Silver's shoulder as the gray filly was only looking down at her hooves. Wild Heart was sitting alone, her mane covering her eyes as she still had the ruined sock that surprisingly still kept her paws hidden. Both Miss Cheerilee and the peach-colored mare looked up when Fluttershy came in.

Cheerilee got up as she walked towards Fluttershy. "Sorry for calling you in the middle of the day. The other's are still outside playing so we can discuss this without any problems."

Fluttershy stood next to where Wild was sitting, the peach pony stood up while holding Silver's hoof before she spoke. "When I got here, by daughter's head was covered in blood."

Silver retracted her hoof as she mumbled something out loud. "No it wasn't."

Fluttershy looked over at Wild before she spoke next. "Wild Heart?"

"She hasn't said a word since it all happened." Cheerilee explained as she stood behind the brown filly.

Fluttershy didn't say anything when she walked in front of Wild and sat in front of her, trying to look at her in the eye. "Did you really hurt this girl?" She asked, to which she got silence and no other response what so ever. "Did you apologize?" She asked another question, in which Wild turned her head slightly to the side, her mane hiding her eyes again as she didn't say a word.

Fluttershy sighed before she spoke again. "Do it. Now."

She was given silence.

"I'm not asking."

She got more silence from Wild Heart. The only difference was that Wild turned her head back to where it was first positioned.

Fluttershy got up, Wild Heart doing the same, but still looking down at the floor. After a minute of silence, Wild Heart spoke. "... I'm sorry."

The yellow pegasus turned to where Silver and what she could understand her mother was standing before she silently bowed down in front of the two. "I'm very sorry about this." She apologized next.

"What do you say we put this whole thing behind us? The school's insurance will cover any medical bills you have so--" Cheerilee tried to end this until the other earth pony mare interrupted.

"Do you really think I'll let you push this aside with a weak little apology?" She asked, to which everypony was silent for a moment. "What does that help if my daughter loses her hearing in that ear?"

Fluttershy was still bowed down as she remained silent, not having an answer for that question.

"I'm holding you responsible for this." The mare spoke out again. "If her ear doesn't heal, I will take you to court for everything you got!"

Miss Cheerilee then tried to stop and ease the tension. "Please Mrs. Plaque I'm sure it won't come to that."

"Stop jumping to her defense. My child is the one with the injury here!"

"A wolf..." Silver spoke out for the first time.

"What?" The mare called Mrs. Plaque turned to Silver.

The gray filly lifted her head up a little before she spoke again. "It was a wolf who did it."

Fluttershy's eyes widened when she heard that and remained silent as she kept listening. Wild Heart only had her head turned away as she was quiet once more.

"It wasn't her so stop it." She finished.

Mrs. Plaque turned to Silver before she placed a hoof on her daughter's shoulder. "Silver Spoon, what on earth are you saying? I'm sorry, a wolf?"

"From the Everfree. We went too close and it got me. Nothing else." Silver explained as she was still looking down from her mother.

Mrs. Plaque only sighed before she turned to the teacher. "She must still be light-headed from the blood loss. I'll just take her home and let her rest. As for you," She jabbed a hoof at Fluttershy. "Don't think this is over. You better pray to Faust that her ear heals or you'll be another poor mare on the street." She didn't say anything more as she grabbed Silver spoon and left the school house, a small chariot waiting outside for the two as the school students watched them leave, making them curious and getting some gossip on what was going on.

Fluttershy was still in the school with Wild Heart as she got up from her bow. "Again, I'm very sorry for what has happened."

"It's okay Fluttershy. Golden Plaque was always a bit overprotective of Silver, so it would make sense that she wasn't that happy about the filly who hurt her child. If things do come to that, I just hope that she doesn't keep to her word." Cheerilee said as she placed a reassuring hoof on the shy mare's shoulder. "If you'd like, you can leave with Wild Heart so that you two can relax."

Fluttershy looked at Wild Heart who was now sitting on her desk. "I think maybe she would like to stay." Fluttershy said. "I'll be back when school is over."

"Alright then, but if you feel that maybe letting her stay isn't the best idea, then I would understand if you took her with you." Cheerilee said as she guided Fluttershy out of the school before they said their goodbyes and Fluttershy was calmly walking home now.

Cheerilee noticed the fillies and colts were talking to each other and stomped her hoof, signaling that recess was over and to come inside. When they all entered, they were quiet and most of them had eyes on Wild Heart who was quiet the whole time. While Cheerilee was setting up class, one of the students decided to speak out.

"What happened to Silver Spoon Miss Cheerilee?"

"She went home early." Cheerliee simply said as she was writing on the board.

"Why did she do that?" Another student asked.

"Because she got hurt."

"Yeah but how did Silver get hurt?" A third classmate asked.

"I'd rather not-"

"Somepony beat her up, that's what I heard." A familiar pink filly's voice spoke out.

"That's, uhh..." But before Cheerilee could make up something that could let the conversation move on, Wild Heart quickly got up and ran out of the classroom, slamming the door shut. That triggered for the classmates to get out of their seats and start coversing with each other on why and how Wild Heart beat up Silver Spoon. "Alright! That's enough class. Everypony just quiet down!" Cheerilee shouted as she tried to calm down the students.

Fluttershy was still walking home from the certain 'event' at the schoolhouse. Everything was quiet and nopony was around as she walked at a calm pace. At least, everything was quiet until somepony spoke out, Wild Heart walking beside her as she decided to skip on school since she didn't feel up to it.

"I tried to be good..." She said. "I kept saying it... but it didn't work." She started to breath out through her mouth, the lump in her throat not helping as she spoke with a weak voice. "Are... are they gonna kick me out of school?" She asked. "Are we gonna have to move away... because of me?"

Fluttershy turned to her daughter, who had her face down as she spotted some wet tear streaks on her fur and small droplets falling to the floor. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry momma." She finished the last sentence before she started to cry out loud, her head lifted from looking at the ground as her nose was stuffy and her eyes were a little red before she shut them and stopped walking. "M-momma. I tried so hard but I... I just.." She was still crying as Fluttershy draped a wing over her while also petting her mane for comfort.

"Shh, shh, it's okay sweetie." Fluttershy said in a calm tone as to show that she wasn't upset or angry.

Wild Heart continued to cry, her form shifting to her human self as she wrapped her arms around her mother's neck as she buried her face in her coat, Fluttershy never complaining as she let her daughter cry her eyes out as it seemed that she needed this.
