Nightmare Night a night filled with treats and scares but 5 ponies spend it camping after hiting every house in Equestria telling horror stories to pass the time, until one of them makes it interesting. Whoever tells the best story wins all the candy. And So It BEGINS....
Welcome all to my tale. This is a story when 5 ponies mess with forces they cannot control. So grab some candy sit back and relax and let me tell you the tales of theses ponies and how their true nightmares came to be on NIGHTMARE NIGHT! Let us begin.......
Once in a small town near Winsome falls in a Cul-de-sac lived 5 ponies. Together they formed a team they would call "The Cul-de-sac Colt's"with two mares. They all live near each other but each has a bad life for instance Sweet Spells was thrown on the cold hard streets of Manehattan and when into the gangster lifestyle until she left the town. Or Metal Mouth his mother committed suicide right in front of him and his dad hates the thought of having a son that isn't like him. Basically they all have done something that could get them thrown in prison. But in the end they are hero's (Most of the time) to their home. The team may not ever get along but they have one thing that brings them together. Nightmare Night. Their favorite holiday. For Torch Light & Sweet Spells it was the candy. For Base Batter, Metal mouth, & Remix Hero it was the costumes. But the one favorite thing that truly brought them together was the stories they would tell at midnight. To make it interesting they would bet most of the candy they get. Every year the winner get's all they candy. What they do is they got to the special camp spot they have and make up the story's. But this would be the year that everything changes.
It was a normal Friday at Winsome Falls High. The birds were singing and animals were happy. Unlike the student's in Harpy Yard's class. Unlike the other teachers in the school she was the worst. Especially with the class The C.C. were in. She stuck them with a big test that would count towards most there grade for the first quarter, worst part? It's was NIghtmare Night! The rest of the classes were having fun. Unlike them.
"PENCILS DOWN!" Harpy yelled. She sounded like a harpy given her name." Pass your papers forward!" all the student's gave in their papers. "Now before you all go I wanted to give you your homework!"
They all moaned and shouted complaints. Typical Friday.
"Come on Ms. Yard! It's NIghtmare Night!" A pink unicorn shouted.
"Yeah!"
"Uh-huh!"
"Come on!"
"Seriously?"
A cluster of four more ponies stated. She put her hoof on her chin and thought til she said
"Well.. Maybe you can skip it tonight but I expect all of you here on Monday & You five will stay after school AGAIN!"
"YEAH!!" Everyone yelled except the 5 ponies. Then the bell rang. Everyone ran out of the class. Well Almost everyone.
"Now do you know why you're staying after?" She asked them.
"Umm we caused a fight in class?" The Unicorn from before said.
"Let's go over the complaints from the student's from you class shall we? Sweet Spells: Turned all the oranges into frogs and made most of the girl's lips seal shut with 'Free lip gloss' that was actually glue sticks. Metal Mouth: Giving everyone homework passes and hall passes that You made and sold counterfeit watches AGAIN. Remix Hero: Graffitied the side of the school again and spray painted other student's lockers. Base Batter: You cut everyone in the lunch line and stole all their lunch money and valuables. And Finally Torch Light: You set fire to A baseball, a book, a student's hair, more books, gym equipment , and the pool? How did you do that?" She asked the dark indigo stallion.
"Lot's of Practice."
"Kids these complaints are from today only!" Why? I know you all your good kids and not criminals!" She yelled.
"Sorry." they all said.
"OK Detention, for 3 day's now get out of here you're missing your favorite holiday." She told them. None of them hesitated to leave. Out of all the teachers in the school She understood all the pain each of them had been through. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"WHOO HOO IT'S NIGHTMARE NIGHT!!" The dark indigo stallion said. The student's from before were at his house getting ready for trick or treating.
"Yeah I'm excited too, But seriously you set fire to a student's hair?" A light blue mare said. "Who? No wait let me guess, Pitch Rich?
"Oh yeah he had it coming and all of you know it!"
"Yeah." Everyone said.
"Hey Big Brother!!" A Black filly yelled.
"Crap" He whispered. "Sigh Fright Light I thought you were at your friend's house for a sleepover? Why aren't you there?" He asked her.
"She has the Trot's so I can't stay over!Soooo....... I asked mom and dad and we are going trick or treating!" Fright said.
"Excuse me WE?!" He yelled.
"Yes Torch Light You kid's don't mind if Fright Light comes with you trick or treating do you?" The Purple unicorn asked as she walked in.
"Are you kidding mom?!" Torch Yelled. " Of course no.." He said until Remix put her hoof over his mouth
"We would be delighted to take her with us ms. light!" She said in a quick tone.
"Good!"" The mother left the room then she took her hoof off his mouth.
"R.H. Not. Cool." Torch said in an angered voice.
"Would you rather feel the wrath of your mother?" Remix said.
"Hmm... Good Point." Now LET"S GOO!!" He yelled.
Everyone was in their costumes. And scurred out the door into the day. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was late at night now Everyone was out either at the party or trick or treating. The Cul-De-Sac Colt's and his little sister were at the final house they always save. last.
"Come on this is the last one then we can start!" Sweet Spells said.
"Yeah!"
They raced to the door and Rang the bell.
"Who is it?" A mare sang. She opened the door the team. "Ohh The Cul-De-Sac Colt's and Fright light! I love your costumes this year! Here you go kid's!" She gave each of them certain candy considering that they were her favorite trick or treaters.
"Whoa Thanks ms. Yard! Will see you monday!" Metal mouth shouted.
"Thanks!" they all said they all ran off.
"Ok we're done tonight time for you to go home Fright Light!" Torch said.
"But I want to be part of your Special midnight tradition!" She cried.
"What have I told you Blank Flank no cutie mark no access!"
"Ugh! Fine!" She walked away and the 5 teen's ran off to their special spot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Just Like last year guy's! Except I brought something that will up the antiy on our game!" Sweet Spells said. Her horn glowed dark pink and she pulled out 5 different bag's and gave it to everyone. "These are magic fire dust. It will visualize our story's to up the scare! You just take a bit and throw it in the fire and the fire will glow the color of your dust. When the story is over the fire will turn back to normal!"
"Cool! I have Blue!" Remix said.
"Green My favorite!" Base said
"Yellow!" Metal said.
"Orange! Awesome!" Torch Yelled
"Red for me now here's this year's order!" Sweet announced. "First will be Base, Then Remix, Metal is third, Me, then Torch! And Remember when the fire goes out we vote on the best! WInner get's all the candy except the ones we chose already! Make up your story now and LET"S GET STARTED!!!"
"YEAH!"
BUt little did these teens know was somepony was watching them waiting to strike!
"Ok Base So what's the story you brought for us this year?" Remix asked him. The five ponies were sitting around the fire with Base getting ready to start the story.
"I call it A Change Of Love and Death!"
"hmm Change Change... OH it's a story about Changelings isn't it?!" Metal mouth said.
"You got it, Like always so is everyone ready?!"
"YEAH!" they all shouted
"Ok then let's begin....." Base said he threw the dust he got from Sweet into the fire. The fire erupted with a green flame and swirled around everyone. Then it started to smoke more. And in a whisper through the fire it said " Tell your story but be wise for fate can be a surprise."
Long ago in a small village there lived two young stallions. One was named Rich, A stallion with a yellow coat and silver hair, the other was named Soul,A dark blue stallion with even darker blue hair. In this small Village everyone is a unicorn. Rich's family was rich so he never needed to worry about anything in his life. Unlike Soul who had to work three jobs to earn a living. They both may live very different lifestyles but don't let that fool you they are the best of friends. In the small town there was only one rule. DON'T GO OUT AT NIGHT! Why? No pony knew all they knew was if you went out at night then you are never seen again. In the town there lived a beautiful mare by the name of Flora a mare with a light green coat and bright pink mane. Both of them loved her. One night they wanted to go and see her so they left the comfort and safety of Soul's home.
"Umm Rich I'm having second thoughts remember what elder said ' Those who go in to night never come back!' Plus she would be sleeping by now!" Soul said in a panic. The town was foggy and misty that night very strange weather for the town.
"Well if you don't come then that mean's I can ask flora out! You'll miss the one chance that you have worked for at all three of your job's." Rich said. They both may love her but they give each other a fair chance to win her heart. "Besides who know's maybe she will let us stay knowing that the distance between our houses are pretty far!" Rich said. The two kept talking about how they would win the mare's heart.
"Still it's late she's sleeping like I should be I working a double shift tomorrow." Soul said. His ears perked up at the sound of footsteps behind him and rich. "Dude I think we should run!"
"Why?"
"I heard footsteps behind us!" Soul said. Rich gave a confused face and laughed loudly.
"Dude you read too many ghost stories!"
"But.."
"But nothing let's go." Rich said they continued on the path. But Soul was right someone or something was watching them.
"Let'sss get them now." One figured hissed in a tone of uneasy.
"Right" The others said. They moved along with the eerie shadows.
"Ok this should be her house...Right?" Rich said. he looked at a house that was pitch black. "I guess you were right let's go back to your place can I stay over tonight?"
"Sure let's hurry though I feel like it's midnight."
"Ok let's go." Then the heard a scream across the dark ally. Of course they ignored considering the town is like that with the wind. Until they heard who it was. "That sounded like..."
"FLORA!" The both said. the ran towards the screaming and saw her on the ground.
"Flora!? Are you ok?!" Soul asked her. She moaned and got up.
"Yesss I'm perfectly fine." She had hissed. They had never heard her hiss like that. "Flora? You ok?" She looked at the dead in the eyes and saw something weird. Her eyes flashed green and turned Blue again. "You're Not Flora!"
"My my my you're very sssmart but that will be your downfall." The Fake Flora said. A swirl of green fire son swirled around her. The boy's couldn't run away they needed to know if the real Flora was safe. The figure was black with weird wings and a horn that was curved in the wierdest way. At that moment 7 more of that creature surrounded the two stallions.
"W..what are you?" Soul asked.
"We are Changelingsss. Creaturesss who hunt for poniesss who disobey the one rule of this town. Now you will be our food for our kingdom! " He hissed. the 8 Changelings lunged at the boy's and attacked them. Rich was defeated in 4 seconds with a hit to the head. But Soul was a trainer and fought each one until they cheated and used a sleep spell on him. With both boy's unconscious the changelings took them to the hive.
Dawn broke early in the morning Soul was the first to wake up. he was chained to a wall with rich next to him. he tried to use his magic to free himself but they had spells over them. they were sitting ducks until the changelings do away with them.
"Rich..? You awake?" Soul whispered. He heard him moan and started to daze off. "I can't believe we are about to become food for these things!" He hissed into Rich's ear so only he could hear. The a guard came by with 3 other changelings in armor.
"Hello boysss. The king would like to have a word with you before you die." He hissed. The 4 changelings took their chains off and put new ones so they can move. Both of them hung their heads until they were pushed on the ground. "ALL HAIL KING CHANGE!" the two boy's raised their heads to the big changeling that stood before them.
"So these are the two that were out last night?" He asked.
"YESSS SSSIR!"
"Do you smell that?" He asked the changeling guards they nodded their heads in confusion. "It's love" The all gasped and started to smell around for it. "Be honest with me boy's do you love somepony?" They shook their heads yes without speaking. "What cat's got your tongue? Why do you not speak young Soul and Rich?"He knew their name.
"H..h..how did you know our names?" Soul asked.
"I know the names of everypony in the town. Flora? She is a sweet mare. Honest, Beautiful, & Caring. She would make an excellent wife." He said. The boy's lifted themselves off the ground.
"Wha.. What do you mean 'wife'?" Rich asked him.
"Let's strike a deal boy's." The king said. "GUARDS! Unchain them."
"What?! But sssir why?" The leader asked.It was the same changeling from last night.
"Do. Not. Question. ME!!" the king bellowed. They moved quickly and undid the chains and the spells over their horns. "Here's me proportions if you want to see your Flora and your family's again. For 1 and only 1 of you boy's." The boy's gave confused faces to what he meant. "Ugh. Who ever get's Flora to truly love you and not through false feelings first get's to live but the other will be my slave here in my hive!" He bellowed through his kingdom.
"But how do we know if she truly loves us?" Soul asked him.
"You'll know, now you must get going if you want to win her heart!" The king said.
"Ummm how do we get home?" Rich asked.
"Ahh yes." the king said. "Sorry about this boys."
"Sorry about wha...."Was the last thing Rich said. The king's horn glowed dark green and immediately both boy's fell into a deep deep sleep. The Changeling's took them home and they woke up in the alley. "Huh? where where are we?" He looked around. "Oh we're back in town!"
"So now what?"Soul asked
"Simple! I win Flora's heart!" Rich said.
"Umm NO. I could Win her heart."
"Well we will see who wins it first!" Rich said he ran out of the alley while Soul thought of how he could win her heart.
Over the next few day's Rich would give flora tons of gifts and flowers to win her affections. Soul on the other hand had nothing for her. Until one day he went to her house. Rich was there as well.
"Hello Flora." Soul said to her.
"Hi Soul won't you come in?" Flora asked. Soul nodded his head and walked in. Rich was there already."So what brings you by?" She asked.
"I..well I wanted to well...umm..." Soul shakely said. He choked. It happens every time he is around her. "Sigh I wanted to give you something I worked hard on for a long time for you. Here." He gave her a small box with a wind up key in it.
"This...this is my old music box with my favorite lullaby. I threw it out because it broke and could not be fixed." She said. "Why are you giving it to me?"
"Turn the key."
She turned the wind up and musci slowly began to play. "Ah..Soul how..how did you fix it?" She said. she started to cry.
"It took a long time and special part's."
"Oh Thank you how can I ever thank you?!" She said.
"You could say yes..." Soul said.
"Yes to what?"
"Yes...to being my wife." Soul said he got on his hoofs and showed a ring in a small box . "Flora, Will you marry me?"
"Soul..I..I....Yes Soul I would love to marry you." She said. Rich was wide mouthed the whole time.
"Wha..WHAT?!" Rich shouted. "HE GAVE YOU A CRAPPY MUSIC BOX AND A CHEAP RING! YET YOU CHOOSE HIM OVER ME WHY?! I PROPOSED JUST BEFORE HE DID!"
"Because I have always loved him!"
They both gasped the mare they both loved was in love with one of them.
"I have wanted to say but I get so nervous around you and then I...I..."Flora said quickly until Soul put his hoof gentle over her mouth.
"I understand I have always loved you. That is what really matters." Soul said.
"FINE I'M LEAVING BUT KNOW THIS,THIS WON'T BE LAST YOU SEE OF ME!"Rich yelled. He stormed out.
Flora and Soul's wedding was the talk of the town. Rich was never seen after that day. Years passed and Flora and Soul were happily married with three foal's. two boy's a girl and another on the way. Rich was never seen again but many believe he left town because he hated Soul so much. Only Soul knew the truth. About 20 years passed. It was an unusual night for the family. His sons Morning Dew and Mud Puddle were fighting while his daughter laid weak and sick in bed. She was coughing a lot in her sleep. One of the many side effects of Hay Fever. Flora and Soul watched their daughter try and sleep.
"Look at her Soul!" Flora said to her husband. He looked worried."What can we do?"
"I don't know Flora. We just have to pray."
"Hmmm... Maybe.. You can go and get some herbs from the shop?"
"What?! Flora it's night! Shop would be closed by now."
"But my dad runs the shop he keeps it open at night oh please honey?"
"Flora... I don't know..."
"Look at her! Soul Dew doesn't have much time!" Flora peeded. Soul looked at his light blue filly in bed weak. She kinda looked like him given the name. He gazed at the weak filly and saw a single tear from her eye from the pain.
"Ok I will be right back my dear!" Soul said he rushed out the door. But this would be the last time he would see his family alive. As he walked down the foggy streets he still remembers the awful thing's his old friend said the day he proposed to Flora. Even the night reminded him of the time they were kidnapped by changelings. He remembers it all to well.
"WHAT?! HE GAVE YOU A CRAPPY MUSIC BOX AND A CHEAP RING! YET YOU CHOOSE HIM OVER ME WHY?!" It echoed through Soul's mind his way to the shop. "FINE I'M LEAVING BUT KNOW THIS,THIS WON'T BE LAST YOU SEE OF ME!!" A tear when down Soul's cheek. His only friend saying those awful thing's.
"Oh Rich why?" He softly said. He started to sob until he remembered why he was out in the first place. "Oh right I need the herbs for my daughter!" He started to run until he heard somepony else creeping behind him. "Who's there! I..I have a horn with magic and I know how to use it!" He yelled. "Idiot! Why did I say that?!"He thought. Nopony answered. He shrugged it off and when his way.
"Fool! He will think twice before messing with the king!" A changeling said. It was like and army. About 20 of them were there. "Ok only me and you seven will get the unicorn the others you know what to do!"Most of them left while the eight of them when on to soul's position.
"Soul...." One said it sounded like his old friend.Soul quickly turned around and heard it again to be clear. "Soul please I need you.... Soul gasped at what he hear. His old friend he was alive!
"Rich? Is it you like the real you?!"
"I feel weak I might not...oh......"He said. Soul ran as fast as he could to his friend. But when he got there he wasn't there. He heard faint laughter.
"Well Well Well. Look what the fog dragged in boy's the unicorn!He said. it was the same eight changelings from the first night.
"You...Wha..Why are you here?! The king said me and my family would never have to encounter you ever again!"Soul said. they circled him.
"Well he is no longer king and our new king said to find you and bring you back to our home!" He said.
"No way! Not without a fight!" Soul said he charged at the changelings. They fought for what seemed like hours. Soul was barely winning. His lip was bleeding his eye was black and his horn was barely working. But he still had done more than they did he took down 6 of them only the leader and another remained. Soul with the strength he had left hit the last changeling. Until the leader cheated. He used the same spell the first time he had fought them to take him out. They took him and met up with all the other's.
"Well are they dead?" he asked them.
"YES SIR!" One yelled. "The kids are dead as well as his wife and their beloved house was burned down to ashes. they are all truly dead. " he said.
"Excellent he is still alive but not dead. Just as the king wanted. Now lets go back to the hive."They all flew away.
Morning broke on the cold winter day. Soul woke up. he felt like he was a punching bag that was used a lot. He felt blood on his lip and tried to wipe it but when he tried to move he hear clangs. He finally remembered what had happen. The changelings took him. He was chained to the same wall he was the first time around.
"Well well well... look who's awake!"
Soul lifted his head up to see a Changeling. He looked different than the others. He looked like a king.
"Who..who are you?" Soul asked him.
"Who am I? HA! You don't know? Look me straight in the eye then tell me you don't know me!" He pulled Soul head over to his eyes and then Soul gasped.
"Rich?"
"You got it Soul!" He said. " But to you it's King Rich."
"King Rich? But what happened to King Change?"
"Died two weeks ago. He said with his last dying words that I will be the king!"
"Why am I here Rich?"
"Well Revenge of course!"
"Revenge but why?"
"UMM...HELLO?! YOU STOLE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!"
"She never loved you!"
"Well no matter she and your kids will not bother to look for you."
"Why?"
"Thier dead."Rich said. Soul gasped in fear.
"DEAD?! WHA...WOULD DO YOU MEAN?!"
"My changelings. I sent them last night for two thing's one to take you and two to kill you family!"
"WHY?!"
"BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO SUFFER! Your family was attacked and killed by my changelings then to make it look like it wasn't them they burned your house down." Rich said. Soul was in tears.
"The why keep me alive?!"
"SO I CAN MAKE YOU SUFFER LIKE I HAD FOR TWENTY DAMN YEARS!" Rich shut his cell door and locked it.
He torchured Soul everyday but still kept him alive. Three years passed. Soul was bruised and beaten but alive. He wanted to be dead years ago but at anytime it looked like he would try and kill himself he would be saved and punished. Every day a girl changeling who Soul called "Crissy" gave him food water and sometimes gave him items to keep him occupied. One day she found the guide book to the royal rules of changeling laws. He found something that could lead to him not being a prisoner anymore. That or death. To him it was a Win-Win. He summoned the king to a battle TO THE DEATH!! If he had won he would be the king if he lost well you get the idea. It was the day of the battle. The king was prepared while Soul still had no magic. They fought for what seemed like an eternity. Punch after punch kick after kick. They were evenly matched. That is until the king drew out a sword and slashed Soul.
"Just kill me already!" Soul yelled. he was crying. The king hesitated. "I have nothing left to live for! YOU TOOK EVERYTHING AWAY FROM ME! KILLING ME WOULD SOLVE ALL MY PROBLEMS!"
The king dropped his sword towards him and started to cry.
"Soul! You like a brother to me I could never..." Was the last thing Rich said. Soul had taken his sword and Cut him right in the neck. He proceeded to killing im with multiple boody stabs. He was dead. Soul dropped the sword. Green flames soon swirled around him and he turned into the new king. Everyone cheered.
"I am you new king! KING SOULEATER!" Soul yelled. He soon married the changeling girl and together they took over his old village and made new changelings. Soul and Crissy lived happily in their hive in what is now called "The Outland's". ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"...And that's it!" base said the fire turned to it's normal color.
"I liked it alot!" Remix said.
"It was good but it could be better. I give it a three out of five!" Sweet spells said. "Any objections?"
"Nope!"
"Ok next is Remix! What's you got for this year?......."
"So R.H. What's your story called?" Torch asked her.
"Mine is called A Crystal of Shadows
"Oh It's about....." Metal said before he was interrupted.
"If you say it I will throw you all the way to Canterlot!" Sweet said. He shut up and whimpered a little.
"It's about King Sombra right?" Base said.
"Yep. So let's start!"
Remix threw her blue dust into the fire and the same thing happened again. The fire turn blue and swirled around everyone whispering the same thing as before. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the Crystal Empire everything was as happy as it could be.But it wasn't until the fateful day Sombra took over. But I'm ahead of myself he is how it all started. In the Empire the subjects had their crystal coating all the time considering nothing bad ever happened. (Well except that dragon that took the Crystal heart). Princess Amore was a beautiful princess. She had protected the kingdom over any dark magic anypony could use. She still had the Crystal guards though. She never appointed a leader but the guards chose one. His name was Umbra. He was an honest good pony never hurt a fly. Everyone was happy in the kingdom until the fateful day that a guard went missing.
"Your Highness! One of the guards is missing he never showed up for inspections!" Umbra said. He looked very worried.
"Oh who is missing?" Amore said.
"Cloud! He never showed up!"
"Oh dear! Did anyone go to his house to see if he was there?"
"Yes! We searched everywhere in the Empire! He...he..." He started to cry. Cloud was more than a guard to him he was a brother. Wait what am I say he was his brother! Cloud and Umbra were the only family they had. No parents or siblings other than each other.Now he was gone. "What should we do?"
"I don't know but we will find him Umbra!"
Day's pasted and everyday another guard went missing. It wasn't until the 10th guard that they found them. They were dead the had crystals through them. But they weren't normal crystals. They had a dark unknowing glow towards them. Everypony was sad especially Umbra. His brother was also dead. The 34 guards were now 24 but everyday once again a guard went missing. Every ten guards were found together and dead. Amore was worried that if her guards were getting killed then soon she and the empire may suffer the same fate. She spent every night inspecting the disappearance of every guard. When 30 of them were gone she finally figured it out. she called the remaining 4 guards in.
"I suppose you're wondering why I have called you all here."
"yes, Your highness we have to be alert in case the killer comes after you!" A guard by the name of IQ said.
"I know who has been killing all the guards!" She said. They all gawked at her about that. "I have been studying the killings and even took a sample of the crystal." She said.
"Well who is your highness?" two guards by the names of Mildew and Carve said.
"It was...UMBRA!!" She said the guards backed away from him and got close to the princess.
"You highness why would I.. Have you forgotten I am your best employer...THE PSYCHO KILLED MY BROTHER!!" He scamper.
"I saw You making these crystals with your magic. I know you made them!" She said.Umbra hung his head and started to laugh.
"My dear you do not know what I can do with the power I CONTROL!!" He yelled he used his true magic and made shadow crystals grow locking the princess and the guards in it. He was about to seal it until the princess said something.
"Why?! Why did you do it Umbra you killed your brother!"
He lowered the crystal a little more so he could see her face.
"Why? Well I was tired of living in the shadows of pure evil! Too much kind and happiness for this kingdom! They have had it good for far too long to to show my true self!" his horn started to glow dark black and purple. His mane turned from a normal black to a pitch black short flowing mane. His full armor turned silver and red. His eye's when from green to a darker green and purple flowing from it. His tail was also flowing like his mane. The one thing that scared the princess the most was how his horn changed. It turned from a normal grey horn to a curved blood red horn. He was no longer Umbra. "I am the new king. And don't call me Umbra. It's Sombra!" He stated.
"That's what you think!" The princess said she jumped through the shadow crystal right before it sealed. SHe heard the screams of the others dying inside. She used her magic and blasted him to the wall. She ran for her life to protect the heart. Sombra was quicker thought. He got to the heart first.
"No...The Crystal Heart! Umbra please you need to release it!" She yelled he had the heart with his magic. All the citizens rushed to the safety of their homes.
"I told you Amore! I. AM. NOT. UMBRA!" he telled. he grew many shadow crystals around her as if it was a prison. "I should have done this a long time ago!" He drew a sword out and was about to lash it at her.
"Sorry Umbra but you won't get me so easily!" Amore screamed. her horn grew bright white and just like that she was gone.
"Wha.." Was the last thing Sombra said. He could sense if she was still around and she was not. Soon he ruled the empire with an Iron fist. Amore was never seen again. But many believe the spell she did to escape Sombra was a rest spell. She used it to become a normal pony and renamed herself Mi Amore Cadenza or as everyone would soon call her Cadence. To protect her self she would never remember anything about the empire. She would never go back.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The End." Remix said. The fire turned back to it's normal color.
"Good, I like it 3 out of five guys?" Base said.
"Sure!" Sweet said. "Ok then it's a tie right now. So next is you Tin Teeth!"
"Metal Mouth, I may have braces but thats not my name!"
In the small town there lived 6 ponies named Dune, Swift,Wisp, Shatter, Wonder,Diamond. They called themselves "The Double DSW" . They did everything together. But what happens when Life as they know it could change and only 1 can survive? It all started at an abandoned corn maze. Many said that if a big group goes in only one will get out. So of course they go.
"Dude this place is creepy!" Diamond said. She whined when she touched the dirt.
"Yeah but that's what makes this place cool Di." Wisp said. She touched the dirt and just to make her scream she threw some at her.
"OK girl's break it up!" Dune said. He was kinda like the leader of the team.
"So Dune? What's the plan to get in?" Swift asked him. She looked at the locked gate.
"Simply my pegasi friend. You, Shatter and Wonder will fly over and then open the gate!"
"I hate when you use me in your stupid plans!" Shatter said.
"Yeah yeah yeah Fly the sooner we prove this legend to be just a legend the better!" Dune said
"Ugh!" He whined. He was a weak flyer unlike the others. The flew overhead and opened the door. They rushed in then the gate suddenly closed and a sign was visible to them.
"To those who enter be warned do not cheat and you will be fine if you do you will pay the price...."
"Alright so remember your partner!" Dune said as he ran in with diamond.
"Shatter?" Swift said "Let's go!" She ran in while Wonder and Wisp went in another way.
"So these foolish ponies thought they could be in my maze well they've all got another thing coming to them..." A voice said he ran into the maze as well.
It was later nopony had gotten out yet but still the night was young. Then the moon was raised high in the sky.
"Huh? Must be late. Maybe we could fly above to get out or at least to know how to get out." Swift said. She nudged her brother for an answer.
"YES! I WANT TO LEAVE NOW!!!" He screeched.
"Ok. You stay I will fly up." She said. She flew up and saw something strange. "Huh? Wha.. THERE'S NO END!" She Yelled to Shatter.
"WHAT?!"
"Yeah! There is no en..AHH...." Was the last thing she said. Before she could fly down a wire wrapped around her hoof then her wings suddenly she was gone.
"SWIFT?!?!" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.........." Shatter said. he ran while continuing to yell Ah.
Meanwhile with Wisp and Wonder.
"Why can't we find a way out we are the smartest ones of the group!" Wonder said.
"Don't know Maybe if I use my magic I could get us out of here in no time flat!" Wisp said. Her horn started to glow yellow then they heard a voice.
"NO CHEATING!!!!" It yelled soon the portal out of thier became a black hole and sucked her up. No pony heard the voice.
"AHHHH....." She yelled as the portal sucked her up and closed.
"Only 4 remain how will break the rules next....." It said.
"OH MY GOD!!! AHHHHH....." Wonder ran for his life.
Diamond and Dune were walking around looking for the way out until they heard screaming. "Huh? Is that Shatter and Wonder?" Diamond said.
The two ponies ran right into each other.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Was all they said.
"Whoa guy's take a breather? And Wheres Wisp and Swift?" Dune said to them. They stopped screaming and started to cry.
"Swift flew out of them maze to see where the exit is but then these wires came to life and pulled her away!" Shatter said.
"Wisp was making a portal for us to leave then the portal out turned into a black hole and she was sucked in!" Wonder said.
"Oh Dear!" This is bad I...I'm leaving!" Diamond said.
"Umm how we still need to get out." Dune said.
"Umm hello unicorn" She snapped. Her horn started to glow. " I will use magic to find our way out!" She stated.
"DIAMOND NOOOO!!!"Wonder yelled but he was too late the spell was casted.
"NO CHEATING!!!!" The voice said this time the boy's heard it. The spell she used was a pathfinder spell and now the arrows leading out started to swirl around her. When they disappeared she was nothing but a skeleton."3 Down 3 to go...Better be careful boy's HAHAHA!!" The voice laughed. The three boys ran for dear life.
"OK so our sisters are gone we're probably gonna die and OH YEAH WERE GONNA DIE!" Shatter said.
"No if we don't do anything disapproving we can escape with our lives!" Dune said they reached a dead end.
"UGH. We will never get out if we keep reaching dead ends that's it im going through it!" Wonder said.
"NO!" Shatter and Dune shouted but they were too late they heard screaming then nothing all they heard was the laughter of the man stallion.
"TWO MORE LEFT OH I"M EXCITED! RUN RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IF YOU WANT TO REMAIN A LITTLE PONY MAN! HAHAHAHAHA!!" He screamed.
The two boy's ran.
"Ok I think we can rest nOOOOOWWW!" Dune said. He fell into a deadly pitfall but luckily Shatter saved him but that would be his downfall. He had flown over the walls of the maze and set him down.
"I SAID NO CHEATING YOU PESTY PEGASI! NOW YOU WILL PAY!!!" The stallion screamed. For some reason Shatter was flying once again.Thunder came down from the mysterious clouds that just appeared. And electrocuted him to death.
"NO SHATTER!" Dune yelled he ran as far away as possible then a miracle happened. The exit. "OH YES FREEDOM.....Huh?" Dune said he saw the Stallion. He was just a unicorn farmer!
"Well Well Well Dune Congrats my boy you have beat my maze now you're reward....You will be my new SCAREPONY!!" He yelled.
"NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...................." Was the last thing Dune said. Soon he hung in the Corn Fields as a lifeless bag of sand hanging in a field. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"That's it!" He said. The fire turned normal.
"I like it kept me guessing til the end. 3 out of 5." Remix said.
"Ok So it's a three way tie but that is gonna change!" Sweet Spells said.
Just then in a howl of gusting wind the fire went out the game was over.
"AW MAN! THE FIRE WENT OUT!" Sweet said.
"Aww too bad Sweet and Torch looks like you can't tell your story!" Metal said.
"No fair!" Torch shouted
"Sorry but it is Your rule!" Base said.
"Well we still have a problem. Who wins? Everyone was rated three."Sweet said.
"Well pick a winner because to me all your stories SUCKED!" Torch said. Everyone stared at him with anger. "My story was gonna be the winner it was about Nightmare Moon coming back and killing Celestia and-"Torch said before he was interrupted.
"Wait! YOUR NIGHTMARE MOON STORY?! I SHOWED YOU PART OF MINE AND WHAT YOU JUST SAID FITS THE DESCRIPTION THEFT!" Sweet Spells yelled. She glared at him as if it looked like she wanted to set him on fire.
"Guys! We need a winner!" Metal said.
"Well all your stories were good but I still think I could have topped them!" Sweet Spells said. Torch nodded in agreement.
"What we need is vote between the three stories. Each of you raise your hoof when I say the pony's name. Base?" Sweet Spells said. Remix raised her hoof Base blushed a little."Ok Remix?" Metal mouth raised his hoof. "Finally Metal" Base raised his hoof. "Torch? You gonna pick?" They all stared at him.
"No!"
"Well now what I can't decide between your stories!" Sweet said.
Everyone started to argue until they hear a scream deep in the woods.
"Huh? Guys did you hear that?" Remix said. Everypony shut up. They heard it again.
"it sounds like..." Remix said before Torch interrupted her in fear.
"MY SISTER!" He dashed through the woods. Everyone followed him as fast as they could. He eventually stopped in the clearing so quickly that everyone crashed into him. "Sorry but I can hear her, she's really close." Torch said
He was right she was close, she came towards her brother and friends screaming with fear and eventually crashing into him with tears in her eyes.
"Torch! I'm scared they are after me!" She said hyperventilating.
"Fright! Clam Down! Who's after you? Mom and Dad? Those Bullies that take your lunch money?" Torch asked.
"No! Nightmares! The Villains from their stories!" Fright said, as she was pointing at Base, Remix, and Metal.
"How much candy did you eat?" Torch asked her looking mad.
"No! they're real! They want to kill us all!" Fright said.
"Fright they are just stories! Guys check out what's wrong, Sweet's help me calm my sister down."Torch told everyone. Base Remix and Metal entered deeper in the woods.
"NOOO!!" Fright said as they left. A few minutes went by and nothing was happening.
"Where are they?" Sweet's said sounding impatient.
"Yeah? You think they ditched us?" Torch asked her. They started talk while Fright Light still knew something wasn't right, and boy WAS she right! Soon three screams that sounded like them were casted through the woods getting everyone's head to turn. "Umm..."
Soon Base was near them in the clearing. He was busted up like in a fight or something and he looked scared.
"GUY's FRIGHT WAS RIGHT! I'M BEING HUNTED BY..." Base soon hear them coming. "OH NO!" Then four green slimy and sticky goo had suddenly appear from the woods and wrap each one around his hoofs. "REMEMBER ME........" Base said as was dragged into the wod the three unicorns soon looked up seeing the forms of changelings and base. The changelings ate him whole in the sky with their silhouettes in the moonlight. The two teen unicorns were frighten with fear and Fright was ready to scream again but Remix beat her too it.
She looked the same as base did before he was killed.
"GUY'S FRIGHT LIGHT WAS RIGHT I'M ABOUT TO..." Then a shadow, shaped like a diamond surrounded her and in the shadow, shadow crystals came out and made a prison around her, only her shadow was shown. The blood curdling screams of her was enough then the crystals disappeared and the only thing there was her skeleton. The three unicorns screamed with fear until a fourth had joined.
It was Metal. He looked different he wan't even out of the forest yet they heard his blood curdling scream then something happened his body was put on a stake and he was hanging there like a scare pony. Sweet's went to check it and they were right, he WAS the scare pony! the unicorns where as white as ghost then they went back to the clearing wondering how they were going to survive . Then Fright screamed a darkened shadow of an alicorn, hat looks a lot like princess Luna had appeared along were three white ghost with no features, or anything for that matter. The alicorn had Fright in a magic power holding her up. Fright was terrified and Sweet's was too. The three ghost got closer t the two teen unicorns.
"I GUESS THIS IS IT!" Sweet Spells yelled. Torch and her closed their eyes and held each other close then...
"GOTCHA!" The three ghost's yelled. Torch and Sweet opened their eye to the familiar sounding ghost. The three ghost removed their disguises. It was Base, Remix,and Metal!
"Wha.. You're alive I thought you all died... WE SAW YOU ALL DIE!" Torch yelled.
"That is true but no entirely, all credit goes to Fright Light for making all the affect's." Remix said. She ponited at the little filly near the blue alicon.
"But why?" Sweet's asked them.
"We were tired of getting pranked by you guys every day so were pulled the pranks this year." Base said.
"Well I guess that it was a great prank. No bad for a blank Flank though... Wait Fright look!" Torch said. He pointed at Fright Light's Flank. There it was a cutie mark! It wa unlike any other, it was the nightmare nigh symbol.
"Yes! I am so happy! I guess generating fears into reality is my talent!"
"And a powerful one too. Make sure to use your powers for good. You can really make great thing's like the Nightmare moon for the prank.. although why did you make a Nightmare moon it was't part of the original plan?" Remix said pointing at the dark alicorn.
"Umm... About that what would happen if I told you that I didn't make her?" Fright said nervously. Everyone looked at the evil grin on the alicorns face. They all ran away screaming.
And so that end's my tale about Nightmare Night, or should I say My holiday? HAHAHA! Goodnight to you all and to all a good Fright!! Nightmare moon said as she disappeared.
