I thought you were done doing that kind of stuff! Didn’t you ever think of how this was going to effect us?” I lowered my gaze to the dark floor beneath me, not wanting to say anything to her. It’s been three days since I was put in prison for smuggling cocaine into Canterlot. Tavi had just recently found out about it and decided to pay me an unwanted visit. I never wanted her to find out about it. I never should’ve gotten myself involved. I looked back up, her eyes still burning with disgust, “I-I’m sorry Tavi, I was only trying to…” “Trying to what? There’s no excuse for what you did!” “It wasn’t my idea to do it! I didn’t even know that it was in the saddlebags! Pinkie Pie only told me to deliver them to Canterlot! You have to believe my Tavi!” “Did you ever ask what you were carrying before you decided to leave?” “I did, but she didn’t say anything other than that it was pure cane sugar. I figured she was only sending the stuff to Doughnut Joe.” She went completely silent, tears beginning to run down her cheeks. I wanted to hold her close to me and tell her that everything was going to be alright, but sadly that wasn’t the case. Ever since drugs began to spiral their way through Equestia, Celestia has been cracking down on ponies everywhere who were making and selling them. It got to the point that so many ponies lost their lives over the drugs that the punishments began to get more and more severe. I was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. I put my hoof on the small window between us, “Please Tavi, forgive me.” She shook her head and looked away from me, “I-I can’t Vinyl. There are so many things that I let you get away with already. But this is something that I can never forgive you for. I never thought that you’d go back to this kind of stuff Vinyl. I thought you had changed. What about the promise you made me the day you got out of rehab? You promised me that you’d stay away form this kind of thing.” “I never knew that it was coke! Pinkie Pie said…” “Fuck what Pinkie Pie said! You knew damn well what you were carrying in those bags! You really think I’m that stupid? You really think I don’t know about Pinkie Pie’s ‘special sugar’? It doesn’t take a genius to put it together!” “Please Tavi, you’ve got to believe me! I never meant for this to happen! I never wanted to get involved to begin with! I was only trying to make some extra money for us. Pinkie Pie told me about how she needed someone to deliver the stuff to Canterlot. She told me she’d pay me five thousand bits when I got back. Like I already told you, I asked what it was, and she told me that it was sugar that was needed in Canterlot. I wouldn’t dare think to lie to you about this Tavi.” She just continued to look away from me, tearstains becoming more visible on her cheeks, “Vinyl, I can never forgive you, no matter how much you try to change my mind. You’ve done this to yourself, nopony else made you do it.” I could feel tears starting to run down my face. Was this about to cost me the one pony that I loved the most? Then again, I really wouldn’t blame her. She was right. I did know what was in the bags. I knew what I was getting myself into. I knew what would happen if I got caught. And I knew that I was lying to her. How could I really expect her to forgive me? I took my hoof off the window and sat back into my seat as my tears began to fall into a small pool on the floor below, “I’m really sorry Tavi.” She just shook her head again. She turned back to face me, her face stained deeply by her tears. She wiped away a tear and continued to stare at me for a moment before speaking, “Apology not accepted. Vinyl, this is the last time I’m going to let you hurt me like this.” “Tavi?” “I’m sorry Vinyl, but this is the end for us,” she got up from her seat and walked out of the room. I slumped back into my chair and buried my face in my hooves. A guard came over to me and tapped my shoulder. I got up from my seat and walked with him back to my cell, the guard locking the door behind me. I laid myself back on my bed and stared up at the cold, gray ceiling. “So, how’d it go?” asked a bouncing pink bitch. “How the fuck do you think it went?” “WOW! Somepony’s being a real Meanie McPottymouth.” “Shut up Pinkie Pie! I don’t want to hear it right now!” “Awww, you’re no fun! Come on, tell me what happened! Did she get mad? Did she cry? Did she…” she hit the wall with a loud thud. I stood over her, breathing heavily as I lifted my hoof and punched her in her jaw, “I SAID SHUT UP YOU LITTLE BITCH!” She wiped the blood away from her lip and stared at me, “Well, I guess somepony won’t be getting any cupcakes tonight!” She pushed me off of her and began hopping around our small cell, “After all, I managed to sneak some sugar in here. And who can’t resist my specially sugared cupcakes!” I groaned in annoyance and climbed back into my bed. I laid down on my side and stared at the wall, listening to Pinkie Pie sing about her cupcakes. Tears began to stream down my face once again as I thought about Tavi, realizing that I got what I deserved.
