Boredom Walk

"UUGHHH!"
I had been sitting on the sofa for almost 2 hours, with nothing to do. I had flicked through every channel, numerous times, but there was nothing on,-well, nothing I liked was on anyway. Flipping to a different channel, I groaned when I saw what it was.

The BBC is everywhere!'

I sighed and slowly got up, very carefully moving Lola, my cuddly black and white dog, of my lap.

Ugh, my leg went to sleep again.

I hobbled upstairs uncomfortably due to my pins and needles, and made my way to my room. Jumping on my bed, I let my mind wonder as I stared at my mlp posters. Eventually, I decided to go for a walk with the two dogs. I went downstairs and got the dog lead, I didn't even have to call for them as their super-sonic hearing heard me grabbing the lead. I clipped them up and shouted to my mum I was going for a walk, I heard her reply from upstairs.

"Okay honey! But be safe! And take your phone! Careful when crossing the road!" And so on. I ignored most of it.

Once I reached the park, I was about to release the hounds when the girls started barking at a German Shepard. It was snarling at them like a cougar and pawing the ground slightly.

"OK... how about no" I mumbled.

I backed away from the growling dog, and went to the back of the park. It's usually to muddy down there, but I might as well switch it up. It became creepily dark and something didn't feel to right, yet I walked on anyways. Amongst the crunching of leaves and squelching of mud, the dogs were sniffing like mad, while tugging on the lead and gently grumbling.

Probably a squirrel, I mentally shrugged and let them lead.

Suddenly a bright light stung my eyes. The dogs were barking viscously so I slowly opened my eyes, to see a perfect oval of light. I quickly turned away before I was blinded. With my eyes still closed I leaned down and grabbed the closest twig. I opened my eyes and quickly threw it into the oval of light. It disappeared.

"Is this... some kind of prank? Why would they set this up here?"

I forced my self closer, tugging the dogs lead as well, and slowly put my pinkie finger in the oval.

"Huh!" I gasped.

"It's... lukewarm? Huh," I let more of myself in, the dogs went silent and were shivering so much it was like a massaging dog lead.

"This is an awful idea. This is how people die in horror movies"

I looked down at the dogs

"Come on girls," I whispered tugging them.

"Before I go blind, and change my mind!"

As I went into the oval... thing, my body tensed up as a sharp, freezing pain washed over me.

"Cold! Oh god so cold!"

I couldn't open my eyes, at all, and all I heard was the wind rushing past me and the dogs whining.

"Am I... holding the lead? Everything's numb."

Then, nothing. There is no colors, no sounds, no pain. I couldn't feel my body anymore.

Guess this is the afterlife. Purgatory maybe. I thought, finally relaxing.

I could feel myself fading into unconsciousness. Closing my eyes, I went to sleep.

The first thing I noticed was the ground. It felt different than normal earth, a lot more, soft... And squishy, like cake.

"Wait. I can feel! Ergo, I'm not dead!"

Opening my eyes, I saw strange blobs of color swimming across my vision. They were nice pastel colours, yet still unsettling.

"I really hope I don't have brain damage." I said, worriedly

Groaning, I tried getting to my feet.
"AAAAAAHHHHH!" The noise penetrated my ear drums, and echoed in my head.

"Who the heck is screaming?"

I shook my head in annoyance, and that brought on a killer headache.

God, this day keeps getting worse That was when, my eyes decided to adjust.

"Yup, brain damage"

Ponies. As in My Little Ponies. All of whom were screaming and running. I flipped.unable to control myself.

"ARARRAGHHHHH!"

I screamed, and this only encouraged the ponies to run faster. The dogs started barking non-stop, pulling on the lead.

"What the hell is going on?!" The stress started to get to me, tears welling up in my eyes.

I turned around looking for the portal that brought me into this mess. All I saw was empty air.

"Of course it's gone! With my luck, it's to be expected. What's next, a piano falling on me?!"

As soon as I thought it, I looked around franticly for a piece of wood to knock on, but I could barely see through my frightened tears.

I had no idea what to do! Running through options in my head, I came to a conclusion.

Twilight. If anyon-pony would know about human it would be her. If only Celestia was here I thought. I knew it was crazy, but what else was I ment to do?

I started running off in what I thought was the right direction, but trying to navigate myself based on memories was really hard. 'Is Sugarcube Corner down this road? Am I going the wrong way?' Turning a corner, I stumbled into a mare I've never seen before, causing her to scream and hoof me in the face. I fell backwards, clutching my nose.

"Damn it! This is gonna leave a mark!" Getting to my feet, I took in my bearings, and the mare was nowhere in sight.

After blundering around Ponyvile for an embarrassing amount of time, I found Twilights house. Just like on TV. It was so confusing. Was I a cartoon or something?

"Wow. I am in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This is..."

Shaking my head, I slowly reached out my hand, and gave a gentle knock on her door. It felt like wood... There was no answer. I knocked again just a little harder, and still no one came out.

"Either twlight's out or she's reading a book" I mumbled under my breath.

I tried opening the door myself, and it slowly creaked open. I peered inside. there was nobod- nopony there.
I took a step forward, gently tugging the dogs closer as well. It was so tense. Not a single noise. I wondered if something bad had happened, apart from me randomly appearing.
"You're taking too long. You just gotta get twilights attention and get this over with!" I said.

Meeting Twilight

Alright. You can do this. Just yell Twilights name.

"Uhmm- T-twilight?"

Really, me? Really? I waited. No response.

"Twwilight...?"

Either she's not here, or she's reading. I wondered if this would somehow become an episode... That would be awesome!

"Twi-"

"Fluttershy? Fluttershy is that you? I'm in my room reading!"

I froze and went pale. See thought I was Fluttershy!

"I-I... Errr..."

Suddenly, Spike popped out of nowhere, his emerald eyes widened and he gasped.

"Oooohhh- Myyyy-Celestia! WHO ARE YOU! AHAHAHHAHHHHHH TWILIGHT HELP!"

Spike screamed, running around frantically. it was pretty cute, but i was to shocked to enjoy anything at the moment.mThen Twilight came running in, but with an annoyed look on her face, as though she thought Spike was overreacting, despite not knowing what was wrong. Then she saw me.

"Oh boy" I said.

"OH MY CELESTIA! Who is that!? SPIKE WHO IS THAT?!"

Spike was hiding behind her big colourful tail, and Twilight was backing away.

Oh, damn. I think she's going to attack. So my brain responded to that the only way it knew how. Curl into a ball and pray to god nothing bad happens.

I was about to say something, when a searing pain ripped across my back.

"GOD! The hell Twilight! Stop! I don't know what I'm doing here I need help!"

She froze. I could feel my back bleeding, and her shot made the wounded area sting really badly.

"W-who are you...?"

"M-my name is L-Lucy," I said, still in my ball. She snorted.

"Lucy? What sort of name is that?!"

For a minute I thought she was actually stupid, and not smart at all. Then I remembered that in Equestria, names like sparkly face are normal.

"I-it's a human name"

"A human name...?"

"Yes, I came from there through, I don't know... some portal."

She frowned.

"Let me see your face"

I slowly rose, afraid she might hit me again. I looked into her eyes. She took a step back , still eyeing me cautiously. If I moved she'd probably strike me again. Spike came out from behind her tale, and I gently smiled. Twlight's eyes softened. It's like we gained trust just through exchanging looks.

"Hm. Okay...Lucy, and where is this portal?"

"I-it was in my local park. I've never seen it before... I-I just found it today and walked through it..."

She stared at me, uncertain.

"Spike."

Spike jumped up and stood up straight saluting like a solider who's general was about to inform him with an important task.

"Yes Twilight?"

"Get me a book on portals. Oh, and humans" She ordered.

"Yes Twilight."

Spike ran to a ladder by the section A. He pulled it to H, climbed up and found a pale yellow book with the title 'humans'. I was surprised as they rarely spoke about humans, so it was strange that they had a book on one! As he was getting the other book on portals, Twilight asked me many questions.

"Are you okay?" She asked

Well, obviously NOT, I thought.

"You're back is'nt too bad, is it?"

"Oh, eerr..." I felt my back, blood was still weeping out, but not as much, it stung less, although when I touched it it still hurt.

"Um, well.. It hurts a bit."

"Oh dear. I'm sorry Lucy, I was just shocked and frightened so I shot you!"

"Oh, it's okay, I understand."

Her horn lit up with her beautiful purple magic, and she had found be a big plaster, with some gooey yellow stuff dripping off it.

"Uuuhh, what is that..?" I said, backing away slightly.

"Oh, it's a plaster! Don't humans have it?"

"No, I know what a plaster is, just, whats that, gooey, yellow, stuff..?"

"Ooh, that. That's a special healing goo. Zecora gave it too me."

I stared at her unsure, I mean, she's a cartoon, that's a cartoon, I tried not to over think it but... Would it even work?

"Oh. Zecora is my zebra friend she lives in the everf-"

"Yeah i know, and at first you thought she was mysterious and scary, you run into the poison joke, she's actually nice, blah blah."I'd seen that episode a million times!

I noticed Twilight was starting at me, shocked. Her jaw hanging open. Then I realised what I said. I knew she was waiting for an explanation.

"I-I eer, well you see.. In the human world..tv's... Well, there is this show- and er... well, your world is our... I.. Umm..."

I had no idea how to explain about the show! Suddenly Twilight and I heard giggling. I looked down, and realised i wasn't holding the dogs anymore!

"Oh no! Where are my dogs?!"

"And where is Spike with my book?" Said Twilight, stomping her hoof on the ground with annoyance.

We both looked around the wooden room for two dogs and a dragon. Terrible thoughts ran through my mind, the dogs running loose ponies screaming and the poor things lost and scared. And where was spike? Then suddenly Twilight saw it, she said my name and I turned , and looked at where she was looking. A small smile crept onto my face. Spike was giggling as Grace slept on his lap, and Lola licked his face. They didnt seem to mind that he was a strange, cartoony, dragon from a different universe... Maybe they were getting too comfy here!

"Aw Spike," said Twilight, her tone of voice saying, don't get too comfortable, they aren't yours!

I giggled, and turned back to Twilight. I think I avoided the long chat about the show... For now! Soon though, I'd have to explain EVERYTHING. Which.... Wasn't going to be easy!

"So.. Er twilight, do you thi-" I started, before she cut me off

"Spike! Please leave those... Dogs alone and bring me my book please!"

Spike bolted up, making the dogs jump. He spun around in a circle until he saw the book behind him. He picked it up and quickly waddled over to his master.

"Thanks" she simply said. Her horn lit up with her purple, sparkly magic. It glistened so much brighter then in the show.

Epic, I simply thought.

She quickly flicked through the book, all the words seemed like long lines of just, scribbles. She flicked through it so fast that it would be impossible to even read the words, but, whatever. I just came through a portal into a TV show, so I don't think that that's the strangest thing going on right now.

"Ugh," she grumbled, "I can't find anything!"

"Well, maybe we sho-" I started, before she interrupted me again. I was going to say that we should go to Celestia, but she wouldn't listen!

"We should go to Applejack!" Declared Twilight, stomping her hoof the floor.

I sighed, and put my hand on my forehead. How was Applejack going to help in this situation? I thought Twilight was the smartest, but clearly I was wrong.

"Uhh, Twilight, not being rude, but... How is Applejack going to help?" I questioned, with slight annoyance in my tone of voice.

Twilight looked at, her face saying, 'do you want my help or not?'. Then suddenly my stomach started growling like a lion. I laughed sheepishly, holding my stomach.

"Let's go," sighed Twilight, with a slight smile.
