> Misinterpreted Signs > by Fifty Shades of Yellow > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Part 1: The New Kid > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today is a Saturday afternoon. It's a warm 76 degrees out here in the nice summer. A calm breeze heads for your face as you're strolling down the outskirts of town, heading to Fluttershy's house. She's such a nice girl. Ever since you came here, people gave you a snotty attitude and didn't wanted to be involved with anything. The first day, wherever you sat down, a bench, in class, a lunch table, the bleachers, there would be an empty space around you. After the first week, there was no improvement. It was just a bunch of harsh insults. They may not have been vulgar, but they were still effective. "Weirdo." "Freaking fresh meat, over here!" "Look at this freak." "Check out the F.N.G." Occasionally, when lunchtime happened, you would head outside and sit beside the statue and cry. But one day, everything changed. From the opposite side of the statue was someone else crying. You stopped and make sure you weren't loosing your mind. It was definitely coming from the other side. You stand up, and went around the statue to find a girl. Curled up and laying against the statue with her backpack between her arms. From what you can tell, she had a curly Amaranth pink hair and Lemon chiffon skin. Her weeps were dainty and subtle. You decided to speak up. "Hello?" The girl stopped and slowly looked at you. She was no older, or younger than you. Her only response was big Teal blue eyes gazing at you, along with a flow of tears escaping them. "Are... are you OK?" The girl sniffled and wiped her face with her right hand. "Y-yes, I feel better now." "Why are you here?" For eight minutes that felt like hours, she told you her time at this school. Somewhere in the middle of it, you sat down right beside her. She didn't move or tried to scoot away from you. She just continued on with her story. It was very detailed and sounded so much like your experience for the past couple of days. "All just because I'm a Freshman!" She goes back to sobbing, and her hair starts to cover her face as she does this. You brush her hair to the side of her head with your right hand. "Hey, you're not the only one that went through that. You don't have to be alone anymore." Without warning, she lunges to your waist and hugs you. You're arms are in the air from her sudden embrace. "Please... don't leave me..." She softly whispers. You lower your arms and let your right hand stroke her hair. "I never will." Afterwards, your right arm rests on the side of her. She doesn't even move or cringe on this. You look down and see her with closed eyes and a small smile. A small feeling grew inside of you, along with a smile growing on your own face. Quietude ran on for twenty minutes. The only thing to break the silence was the bell to signal that lunch time was over. As it did, you gently shake her arm a little, just to realize she was sleeping. "Hey, come on now, we have to head for class." A mellow yawn is sounded, along with her arms stretching. They just missed from hitting your face. "Oh, right. I should head off." You get up and stretch a little. Once you were done, you reach out your arm and let off an open palm to pick her up. She grabs your hand, and you give a small tug to get her standing. It was a little too much and she lands on your chest. She looks up and you noticed a small blushing on her cheeks. "Oh,I'msosorry,Ididn'tmeanto." Give out a small chuckle before you say something. "It's fine. I guess I don't even know my own strength." She chuckles and looks up to you. Oddly, she does this for a while. Just, gazing in your eyes. You decided to speak up. "Uh, shouldn't we head to class before we're late?" Her pupils shrink and dart around. "Oh, right." She then gets off of you and she reaches down to her backpack. You do the same, and go for your things right beside hers. Both of you have your stuff and look at each other for a while. Again, there's that sense of silence, that a tumbleweed actually goes by the left side of you. How in the middle of town, you may never know. You clear your throat, ready to say something. "I'm sorry that I bothered you, and-" "Nono! It's fine. I'm actually happy that you've found me." She quickly, yet calmly replies. You rub the back of your neck as you're prepared to say what's next. "I never got the chance to introduce myself, or know your name. I'm Anonymous, or Anon, for an easier way to remember me." Her face starts to go from blushing to a strong flush. "I-I'm Fluttershy. Thank you for listening and staying here with me. I... I want you to have my number. Just so that I could have a friend to talk to." As she says this, she rummages through her backpack as she says this. Woah, first a total stranger and now you have a girls number. Not to mention your first friend. Todaywasagoodday.mp3. A sound of a paper being teared out gets you out of your thinking state. You look at her, she's quivering as she is holding out a piece of pater. Slowly reach out and take the paper from her hands. She raises her backpack and hides behind it. "Don't worry, I'll call you after school, and see on how was your day, OK? Here, I'll send a text message right now, just to make sure." As you're saying this, you grab out your MePhone, punch in the number, send a simple test message saying "Hi" and send. You see her backpack then vibrates in the front pocket. Her backpack lowers to show that her eyes are lightened up with a confident smile. "That... sounds nice." The final bell is sounded, indicating that you're now tardy. "Crud, I really should go-" Something grabs you by the arm. "What's the hurry? Anyways' we both have the same class." Turn around and see Fluttershy grabbing your arm with both of her hands. She see's you noticing it and retracts her arms. "Yeah, but I wanted to have a perfect attendance this year." "Don't worry. I wanted that as well. But, there's still a chance at the "Best Attendance Award" at the end of the school year!" You look up to her, having some hope building up. "Really?" She nods at high speeds. You laugh a little, and stop it by resting a hand on her head. "Come on, we better go." "A-alright." Once you've entered class, you and Fluttershy were excused, since of being new and such. As you were taking your seat, you saw Fluttershy still there, talking to the teacher. Once their discussion was over, the teacher looked at your classmate. "Norman, I'm sorry to inform you this, but your seat is now in the back." The teacher calls out. "Aww, come on! This was my spot first!" Your seating "buddy" yells out in unison. "Norman, please sit in the back, or I will have to send you to Principle Celestia's office, instead." Norman huffs and stands up. "Whatever. The front is for nerds anyways." He just shrugs, grabs his stuff, and walks away. Fluttershy takes the seat moments later he leaves. You turn around and see Norman sitting next to Flash Sentry in the way back. Flash is a cool guy, weirdly enough, he doesn't have a girlfriend. No wonder you've never noticed Fluttershy beforehand. She really was off from where anyone could see her. "Alright class, settle down. Ignore Norman's remark, and lets continue to reading Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Oh well, back to- Fluttershy sits there, having a big smile and waving her left hand at you. You give back a wave, but a little more slower and short of enthusiasm. Finish off the waving and turn back to see the board with the page numbers to read for today. OK, pages 8 to 15 for today, and what isn't read by then is homework, shouldn't be too- As you look down on your book, you see a folded piece of paper right at the bottom of it. Huh. Weird, the classmate to your right is absent for today, so that means... Another folded paper slips by you. You saw that it was swiped from your left. Look over to see Flutters holding a pen, along with an open notebook with the paper crap sticking around the ring. She just has a sheepish smile with eyes swaying at you, and the neatly folded papers. You turn back and cautiously open up the first one. "Anon, do you want to hang out with me after school? If that is fine with you." Open up your folder, and put that inside. Now, you open up the second one. What is written on it just has an address, along with clear instructions of her schedule. This gives you a disturbing feeling. But you shake it off in your head, and put this one in the folder before your teacher sees it. Back to reading. Half of class is over with and you're really crunching on the story. It's alright, but then again, it is only the first few pages. Only a couple more, and no homework tonight! As you're turning to the next page, you feel something vibrate in your pants. You must've gotten a text message. Ignore it and go back to- It vibrates again. Set the book down and discreetly pull out your phone. 2 new text messages. They're from Fluttershy. The first reads: "So? Able to do it?" Follow up is: "I really don't do much after school." Look over to Flutters and see her typing on her phone. She then puts it away in her binder on the desk. Feel your phone vibrate once again. New message: "Usually, I go to the animal shelter after school, but it's not open on Thursday's." You type back. "I guess I could hang out." Send. Slide the phone back in you pocket and go back to reading. Just starting the next page and your phone judders in your pocket. When you leave your book on the table, it leaves out a small clang sound. Reach in your pocket and look at your phone. New fucking message: "OMG! Really? Where should we go?" Another message right after reading that one. "I mean, it's your pick, if that's fine with you." You think for a while before texting. Possibly your place, but it is pretty messy. Maybe just walk around the town, see what's going on. Or stop by her house and just chill for a while. Some good options, but so little time. Look up to see the professor, who is on the computer. She's probably surfing around for some new shoes, or retarded videos. Or worse, 12chan. Focus back to your phone and think of where to go. Her place doesn't sound too bad. You test that you can head to her place later on and send the text. "Ahem." Look up and spot the teacher directly in front of you with crossed arms. The only thing that is shielding you, is the table. "Come on, now. Give it here." You sigh, knowing this is a battle you can't win. Leave the phone on the table and let her take it away. "You'll get this back at the end of class." Grab you book back. "And as punishment, you have to read the rest of Scene 3 and give out a paragraph on what you've read by tomorrow." Fucking Ass... Continue reading for a few more pages, literally crunching every last bit of information. Just as you're on page 22, another note slides by. Look off to your friend and see her with a guilty ridden face. Open it up. "I'm so sorry about your phone, but I did get your message. I'm more than happy to have a guest over. Just tell me when you're able to do so." You would be enraged about what happened. But, knowing her already, you decided to drop the anger and write down a small message before Mrs. Jerkweed gets a hold of this one as well. "Just after school and a couple of hours. You know how much homework I have right now." Slide it back when the teacher isn't looking and finish off reading the page. The paper is almost tossed back immediately. There's writing on the top. "Wonderful! If you want you can do your homework at my place. There's not much that I do at home. And it does get a little lonely." You think to yourself about this. If she has a hard time at school... God knows it must be a living nightmare at her home. And besides, your home isn't exactly study-proof. Computer, TV with cable, along with a PlayBox 32. These are the things that you always run into, once you cross inside your pad. May have an -sightly- above intelligence, But that doesn't mean that you're still a teenager. That being though, it's probably best to stay over for a while. To finish this damn report. You would feel bad about taking advantage of using Fluttershy's house as a sanctuary. Then again, she did get your ass in this situation. You're sure she wouldn't mind. Discreetly slide the paper inside your folder. Look over to Flutters and nod. She squees a little, but it's not that loud. How cute. Go back to facing your book and- *RIIIIIIIIIING* "Alright, class dismissed. Head for your next one, and I'll see you all tomorrow!" Leave a bookmark on your page and see the number before you close it. Page 24 Shit. Another four more pages and then you can write that small report. Ah, oh well. Pick up your stuff and put it in your backpack. Turn to your left and noticed Fluttershy's seat is empty. Huh, shes quick, and awfully quiet. "Anon!" Turn around and see her at the doorway, waiving. "I'll see you after school!" She cheerfully says and then runs off. Let out a sigh, strap your backpack on and head for the door. "Mr. Mous." You turn around to see the teacher. "Hmm?" She holds out your phone. "Ah, right." Walk over to her and grasp it. "Just... at least try to keep it hidden next time." She jokingly says. She now has a small simper on her lips. "I'll do my best, Mrs. Cheerilee." She then lets go, and continued back to her computer. You take it into a good grip and slid it back into your pocket. Also, getting a small glimpse at her monitor. Yup, you were right. She was looking at some new pumps. Women. Head off to your next class, Algebra. Not too bad. Simple numbers and such. Head for your desk and just went away. You've never found it difficult. Just went on formulas and how they function. It's like connect the dots... only for geeks. Not much to think about for today. Open up your book to page 57 and work on slopes. This shit's too basic, at least, to you. Crunch down on learning them and head for the classwork. It's not much of a challenge. Now, the homework. Look at it, and scoff. None of it is like the classwork. Way too simile. Blaze through the homework, without intense thinking. So, for the time being, you think about today. About Fluttershy. She seems to be a great girl so far. Only, too great. She seemed pretty strong about some certain things. Perhaps you are her ONLY friend. She is really diffident from all the girls you've met throughout middle school, and the week you've been here. And she possibly lost whatever her friends from transferring to this school. Damn, that has to be rough. It's a good thing that you transferred to this city from Manehatten. That place was just piss bad. Mainly, it wasn't because of the poverty that was going down, but also the community. So many gossip girls, judgmental dickheads, and big time tramps. Not really an ideal place for a developing young adult. Thank god you convinced your parents to transfer here. Took all summer too, but it was worth it. Only downside, is that you're all alone. Mom and dad couldn't be here, for their stationary jobs. And all your relatives are all at their own locations, and are having the same issue, or they just declined. They are very stable, and actually gives off a great income. So, they saved the money for your college fund, until now. It's used for keeping your ass into a better school. Which will then take you to college. They fell for that, like salmon heading for freshly picked bait. But yeah, in a small town, with no one familiar to watch you. This is a great way to prove that you're able to handle yourself. From the first day of being into this new town to today, you're just full of fear, cloaked in confidence and courage. But, in someway, it's worth it. Have your own bedtime, use your own credit card to buy -most- things, and best of all, walk around your apartment, NAKED! Only sacrifice, is no one watching you, or any old friends that will be with you. But who cares, most of the people you knew just gave you a tough time. Pretty much, almost as bad as here. But, that will chance soon enough. You're new here. So right now, life is bliss. *RIIIIIIIIIING* Snap out of your past and look at the board, which is partially blocked by a sea of hormone running teens. Class ended, may as well leave before you might get locked inside school. Shove everything inside your backpack and rush to the door. Since you won't need the Algebra book, along with some other shitty paperwork, it's best to head for you locker and dump that stuff. Find the corridor that leads to your locker and open it. Dump what isn't homework inside and close your locker. "So, who's your friend?" Turn to your right and see Norman laying against the wall. He has that smug face on him. Not a good sign. "Just someone who's going through rough times, that's all." "You sure you're not just going to score?" "What?" "You've heard me. Going out for a cute girl and she's already clinging to you on the second week. You've got moves man, and I like that." What is this tunnel snake implying? "Dude, we're just friends. Not much." "Don't hide it from me. Just tell me that you're in this to get laid." Is this faggot serious? "I'm just her friend, what else?" He scoffs and shakes his head. "Right, "friends." More like "Friends With Benefits." Admit that, and I'll leave you alone." Friends With- what the fuck us up with this guy. "Hey, Norman, just leave him alone." It's coming from the right of you. Look over and see Flash Sentry. "Not now, just trying to get this kids plan." Norman stiflingly speaks out. "If he was planning this, he would've told you a long time ago. Just leave him alone." Norman backs away and walks off, beaming a stiff glare at you. "Sorry about him. Dude's just trying to get the dirt on people." The spiked blue haired guy says. Yeah, no shit. Who where you just talking to? A plant? "So I've seen you around and never had the chance to talk. The names Flash." He reaches out his arm, along with his hand prepared for a handshake. "Anon." You firmly grasp it and shake along his pace. Damn, his grip is matched with yours. "Hey, if you need to hang out, just look for me." "Alright, sounds good." "Cool, listen I need to head out, I don't want to be late for practice." "You play sports?" Flash's other arm lifts up a guitar case. "Oh." "Yeah. Later, man." His other arm reaches back out and shows a fist. "Later." You fist bump it with a smile. He gives one back and walks down the hallway. Slip on your backpack and head outside. Wow, already making some friends. Some shit needed to happen, but it's nothing that you could've handled. Slip out your folder and get- You left the folder inside the locker when you were dumping your shit inside. Head back to the doors, only to realize they're locked. Randomly knock on the door and yell. "HEY! I FORGOT SOMETHING!" It opens to reveal a janitor with a white mustache, extended belly, and a blank face. "Thank you." Run inside and head to your locker, only to barely hear the janitors word. "Eeyup." Your efforts on making time of your asset is against you. There it is! As your locker comes into plain view, you didn't have a thought of stopping. "Oh, no, no, no, NO!" And a loud, metallic slam echo's the deserted halls. "Auugh." Slowly slide down it and feel a small pain on your right arm. Look at it and see a big bruise. That must've taken the full impact. It could have been your face, so be lucky. Get back up, try your combination on the locker and it opens. Yes! Now just need to grab the- "Agh! Fucking shit, that hurts." Maybe using your right arm is a bad idea for the rest of the day. Reach out with your left arm and grab the folder with all of the notes from Fluttershy. Take out the paper with her address and use your other arm to grab out your phone. It hurts, but you're not ready to let down your friend. Unlock and open up Backrub maps. Look at Fluttershy's address. It's... in the outskirts of town? Weird. Insert it anyway and let the phone calculate its directions. Set the phone down and put everything else in your backpack. Slap it on your back, grab your phone and head back outside. Ah, fresh air. "Turn left, into, Garson Avenue, walk down, for 30 minutes, then head down, into Larson Drive." Look at your phone and see that it's a straight shot outside of town. Alright, lets see on where this goes. Head down the sidewalk and make way down Garson Avenue. See that there is only a few teenagers around the side walk, only they're all in a crowd. Ignore them, but quickly see on who they were. One seemed like a stylist with a curly violet hair style. Another was wearing a country hat, with what you can tell was a country-style voice. The third was some energetic girl, with Pink all over her. And the last one seemed like a tomboy wearing overalls. Yet, you're not too sure. Then again, she has that long, Rainbow-like hair. Whatever, it's best not to bother them. Yet, you trip over something and fall down. Right onto your damaged arm. Being this clutzy in just less than half an hour? Thank goodness you landed with your left hand. It didn't take much damage, but a few scrapes on the palm of it. You can get over it. Shit's been worse before, but that's another time. Turn over and see the four girls looking at you. The tomboy tries to hold back from laughing. The country girl nudges her side. "What- oh." "You alrighty there?" Says the pink one, now inches from your face. "Yeah, just fine." "So sorry for our friends behavior. She can barely tame herself." Coming from the one who sounds like from an upper-class family. "Yeah... sorry there." Grumbles their sky-blue friend. An orange hand reaches out to you. You take the offer and are pulled back up. "A'm sorry for the rough introduction. A'm Applejack. This here's Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie." Each of them have their own waiving technique. "So, what's yer name, stranger?" "Anon, just call me Anon." One of them snickers. Spot that it's Rainbow Dash doing it. "Sorry, just... pfft. That just sounded funny." "Rainbow is somewhat correct. It does sound a little ludicrous." You sigh a little. "My full name is Anon Y. Mous." Dash laughs and falls back. "Oh- oh crap! Someone call an ambulance." Your name might be ridiculous, but you never thought it would be enough to get someone to laugh on their ass. "Come on, Dashie! Remember on how you were last week?" Pinkie Pie almost yells. Dash stops her laughing and rolling. She gets up and looks down. "We have each other, and if we didn't all of us would be like Nonny here." The pink one states out. You inhale deeply and stare at the ground in shame. "Whoppse. Sorry about that." "It's fine, I'll patch through it." "List'n, if you need people to hang around with, you can go with us." Applejack comfortingly states. Most of them nod. Only one that did not follow was Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow, whadd'ya say?" Dash just crosses her arms and scowls a little. "Are you sure we should allow this loser with us?" That's it, that pisses on a wizard. It was fine from being called that from the higher grades. From someone in your own grade level? Now she just really fucked herself over. "Hey! You were no different from me, so what makes you the leader to call who is and who's not a loser?" She's about to say something, but holds it back and just sighs. "You're right. Sorry about that. Truce." She reaches out her arm to you. OK, why all the hand grabbing today? Fuck it, just meet their demands and shake it. You do so, and sense that her grasp is weaker than yours. Just lay back on the grip. After it's over, she rubs her hand a little. "Heh, sorry." Shit, you really need to check your power level. "Hey! Wanna come with us to hang out? There's video games, food, candy stores. ItWillBeSOMuchFun!" Pinkie Pie merrily speaks. You put your hands back in your pockets and think. Only to have it interrupted by your phone. Shit, you just remembered you need to head off to Fluttershy's home. "I really want to, but, I need to head for a friends house." As you say this, pull out your phone and wave a little. "Oh, we'll just leave you our numbers and we'll call you if something happens." As Pinkie says this, she yanks the phone and types away like an accountant shot with coffee in their veins. "Hey I-" "Here you go!" She gives you the phone back and you look at the screen. "You" sended a group message to four numbers, with names already printed on them. The message just says "Hiya!" This girl really has an ability. "We won' bother you anymore, we'll see ya tomorrow, Anon." Applejack says in a friendly tone. "It's been a pleasure to meet you." Rarity gracefully says. "See ya later." Rainbow speaks in a better tone. "ICan'tWaitToMetWithYouAgain!" Pinkie blazingly speaks out. They leave off some space, and you walk through it. Turn back around and see them waving off to you. You wave back, with your phone at hand. With that done, you continue walking while looking at your phone. Open up Backrub Maps again and set the destination again. "Continue on, estimated time, is, 47, minutes." Your phone instructs you. This is going to be a long walk. > Part 2: Getting to Know You > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You, have arrived." Your phone goes off. It's just a Diner. This mus have been a joke all along. You kick the ground and sit along the curve. Hear the diner door open and just ignore it. Go back to your pone and set the way to go back home. You can't believe this, punked by a introverted girl? This is just a new low for yo- "Anon?" A faint voice calls you while a small pressure is being set on your left shoulder. You turn around to see... "Fluttershy?" Straightaway, she clutches you into a hug. The hug lasts for a prolonged amount of time. You wanted to speak up, but this just feels right. She does let go and sits right beside you. "Why are you out here?" "Actually, I should be asking you the same thing." You just realized that she's holding a bag from the diner behind you. It crepitates as it is being gripped harder in her hands. "Well, there's something that you should see." She gets up and walks off to the side of the diner. You stand up and follow her. You head back of the diner and catch a whiff of the dumpster. "Aww, God... Is this it?" She turns her head to you for a brief moment and turns back. "I know, but I didn't wanted to show you that." Fluttershy points along a small trail, leading into the forest. She then heads off, entering it. OK, at this point, this must be some kind of joke. One thing about traveling here, but to go into the woods? "Fluttershy. are we going for a small stroll and some fresh air?" The small tee-hee that she made later was absolutely lovable. "Oh no, Anon. This is the way to where I live." It's difficult to ask her if she is serious anymore. You've made it this far, so let's just see on where this goes. "You better not be making some kind of joke." "It's not." She said while giving off a solemn tone. Fluttershy turns back and continues heading into the greenwoods. Best as well follow her. As you do so, you check on your right arm. See that there's a long bruise lined on one side. Shit, that will be hard to explain it in a badass story. You try to hide it by laying it against your side. It's not as sensible roughly an hour ago, but that doesn't mean that it's still sore. Screw it, off into the woods you go. "Come on, we're almost there." "Shy, you said that 4 minutes ago." You've been going down this path for about 10 minutes now. It was bothersome when you encountered a few logs, some rocks, and an unleveled crack. You almost tripped on a few of them, but thank god there's still light out here to see them. "Trust me, it's not too far." She then runs off. "Flutters, wait, hold on." You walk around the bush she went to and see a cottage in a clear, open space. Over at the doorstep, she is waiving off to you. You make a small jog to catch up. "What do you think?" "It's amazing." She makes that same sweet giggle from earlier. "Wait until you see inside." She opens the door to reveal her living room. "Woah..." "Make yourself at home. Please, sit down." You head for the couch and rest your stuff on the side. Fluttershy promptly sits right beside you. "I must say, this place is very cozy." She blushes and puts her hands in between her legs. "How come you live way out here?" She dots her eyes around in a depressed motion, lowers her eyebrows and eyelids. "It's... it's nothing special. You wouldn't care to listen." You scoff. "If I can listen to your troubles at school, then why can't I know you a little more?" Fluttershy gives off a sorrowful sigh. "Are... you sure?" She gives her sad puppy dog eyes at you. You give off a warming smile and look at her eyes. "I would love to." She then begins a narrative of her own life. From the day she was born, it was followed with multiple unfortunate events. Her father died from a car crash incident when he was on his way to see her birth at the hospital. Her mom struggled to raise her for the next few years, only to caved in. Fluttershy was sent into an orphanage at the age of 5. That hellhole gave her some unreasonable abuse for a few years. At the age of 9, she then ran away and head into the outskirts of town. Only able to run into the diner, not too far from this cottage. The lady who own the restaurant saw Fluttershy and took her in. This is where they live. The problem is that the owner barely comes here. Since that diner is 24/7 and has a record of robberies from strangers and the employees. At school, it wasn't any better. She was too timid to make friends, and to make matters worse, being picked on by everyone because of it. Basically, throughout Fluttershy's life, she was alone. Not anymore. She lightly snivels during halfway, and now after telling her story, it's now in full effect. In a compulsion, you cradle her into a hug. The crying stopped for a moment, but comes back later into small sniffles. This hug is like the one from back at the statue and for some reason, you didn't wanted it to end. As you tried to stroke her hair, your arm starts to have searing pain For now, you boldly pass through it and bite your lower lip. "It's so nice, *sniff* to have finally met someone who can hear about me... protect me... who cares about me." Tears start to swell up in you eyes. Not only from Fluttershy, but also from your arm. It has the sensation of it being slowly roasted on an open fire. Resistance from crying is now pointless, and you just release the dam. "Please... don't feel bad for me..." "It... it's not only that." She let's go, and you do the same with her hair. "What's wrong?" You start to wipe the tears from your eyes, until Fluttershy grabs your right one and looks at it. "Oh my. Your arm! I'll go and get something to help it." Fluttershy jumps up and speeds off into the kitchen. "Just keep that arm elevated while I'm gone." Do as she's instructed by grabbing your wrist with your left hand and holding it up. She comes back in the room holding an ice pack. "Here, just relax and let me take care of it." You would refuse and say that you'll toughen it out, but seeing her taking care of you is something. Normally, when you're sick or injured, you just lay in your bed until you get better. Seeing Fluttershy taking care of you is something you'll allow. By now, you realized the cold sensation from the ice pack. The arm has a soothing vibe going around the damaged tissue. After a while, you notice that you have been staring at the ice pack. Intense thinking really does get you to look at nothing that has no purpose. You look up to see Fluttershy with her eyes googling at you. "Is everything alright? Do you need more or less ice?" You're trying to think of some excuse, but nothing comes to mind. May as well come clean. "It's fine. It's just... I've been thinking, that's all." "Do you want to talk about it? It's the least I can do for what you've done for me." You then rambled about what there is about you. Well, for the most part. You told her about why you're here, where did you come from, and even told her that you're alone in this town. "Well, that's not true. We have each other." That truly did give you a smile. And you end your story by telling her your incident with the arm. She couldn't help but laugh at it. "Oh, I'm sorry. It's so sweet that you went back to get it. But, you could have just send a text message about it." "I didn't wanted to let you down or ruin a first impression, that's all." "But you have done so much for me already, I would never be disappointed." Fluttershy backs away a little, only for you to see that her face is a few inches away from yours. Her cheeks are coloured in with a faint red hue, along with her beady eyes focused on yours. It seems like she wants to do something, but you're not sure of what it is. Whatever it may be, she slowly raises her arms to you shoulders and softly grasps them. She leans her head in a little, her teal eyes start to gleam. But for some reason, she just stops halfway. Only about four inches away of her face from your own. Instead you make the next move. You lower the ice pack resting on your arm and wrap it around her waist, giving her a firm hug. "Eep!" Is there anything that this girl won't do something so adorable? She doesn't do anything, she's traumatized from your sudden movements. For a while it says that way, until she meets up with your hug. She wraps her arms around you and also snuggles along your torso. The arm that's damaged doesn't have that aching feeling like the last hug. But, you're remembered about the assignment. Damn, you hate to ruin this moment, but this needs to be done. "Hey, Flutters?" "Hmm?" "Sorry to do this, but I really should do some homework." "Oh. It's fine, really. You can go ahead, I'll get us something to drink. Would you like something?" "Just water. That's fine." Simultaneously, both of you let go of the hug and go at what each of you needed to do. "I'll be right back, you can do your homework here." As she leaves, you get out your backpack and take out a sheet of paper, 0.5 led pencil, and the "Romeo & Juliet" book. Open up on where you left off and continue reading. "Would you like it if I read along with you?" You hear the glass cups land on the table as your friend speak up from near you. "Nah, it's fine." "Please? I don't want to see you work all by yourself. And, when you read it out loud, it sounds... nice." Her voice dimmed down during that follow up, but that last word was barely audible. Someone liking your voice? That isn't common for you. But, having a reading buddy doesn't sound too bad. "Sure, that sounds fine." She reaches for her backpack and pulls out the book. "Um, where did you leave off?" Huh, that was fast. "Oh, Act One, Scene 5, Line 95." "Thank you. Please, go on." You read out the first sentence for that page to her. "If I profane with my unworthiest hand This holy shrine, the gentle sin is this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss." "Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this, For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss." You freeze in awe of how she takes over as Juliet, and in a spot on attitude. "Oh, I-I'm sorry, did you wanted to do that by yourself?" "No, that was very impressive." Her face reddens from your compliment. Fluttershy tries to hide it by raising the book up to the lower half of her face. "It's nothing. I just do it when no one's around." "It certainly is a talent that you have." The book is lowered from her face, and she reveals her pink cheeks. "Thank you." The both of you continue on reading on and finish off Act 1, all that is left is to write out the report. You reach out for the pen- "Ow." Just as you tried to pick up the pencil, it rolls to the side and falls to the ground. "I'll get it." She doesn't hesitate and gets the pencil. "Ah, thanks." You try to reach out, but your muscles are still sore. "Man, that hurts." "Here, I'll write it for you." She says while firmly gripping the pencil in your hand. "No, it's fine. It's my assignment, I can do it." "But I'm the one who got you into this mess." Sadly, that's true. "If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have known the true Fluttershy, or possibly hang out with you." "Well... But... I was the one who gave you that sore arm." You try to excuse her. "That one was all me, just in a rush and all." "Please, I must!" What sounded shy and nervous, is now more along the type of demand and plead. You would continue this argument, yet you consider after that sudden outburst. "Alright, I guess. Just follow on what I say, alright?" "Okay." For the next half hour, you instruct Fluttershy on your view of the tale's plot so far. "And, there. Here it is." She hands you the report and see it in a beautiful cursive writing. "How is it? Did I mess up. I'm so sorry that if I did. I knew that "I" in the third sentence was off a little bit and-" You snicker a little from her self doubting. "Don't worry, it's fine. This is actually proficient from what I can ever write. It's true, even before you busted your arm, your writing was no different from hieroglyphics. At least those can be understood, compared to what you normally scribble down. "Thank you for helping me." You look outside and see the sun starting to set down in the horizon. Since you're in the forest, all you're able to see is a blend of sky blue with a light orange. "I probably must go." "What?" "It's getting late." You say while pointing to the window. "Oh, don't worry, you can stay here a little longer can't you?" This sweet and naive girl. You start to put your things away. "I wish I could, but I really should get home before-" "NO! I mean- please. Stay." She then grabs you on the right arm. It's a small squeeze, but it still strains around the nerves a little. You groan in pain from her grasp. "Oops, I'm so sorry!" "It's... it's fine." You calmly reply as Fluttershy loosens her grip and lets go of you. You stretch the arm out a little bit. "Please... don't go." She almost whispers. You think about this for a moment. Why is she like this? Oh, she's been alone throughout her life and barely had anyone to talk to, let alone be around her. But, what about the arm? Ignore that, it can probably heal overnight... or so that you hope. Is she that desperate for you to stay a little longer? Let's see... "But if it get's any later, I'll probably have to sleepover." Her eyes lighten up and cheeks a little, along with her hands twirling her hair. "C...could y-you?" She must be puling your leg. Although, you always wanted to have a sleepover. The thing is that you wanted it with a few guys, not with a girl. This just feels a little out of the ordinary. Then again, that foster home did fuck over any possibility on what she could've had at the time. It is best to make this on what you can. "I guess... I can sleepover for tonight." Such a squee that she made just pulled the pin on your heart. It was just too much cuteness from her. So much that you didn't realize that she's getting you in a bear hug. Snap out of it! You try to breathe, only to wheeze out for air. Fluttershy lets go and backs away. "I'm so sorry! Are you hurt? Did I crush you? Is your arm OK?! Oh no, I'm such a terrible frie-" You rest a finger on her lips. "It's fine. I actually wanted to do something like this." Retract your finger from her mouth and giver her the hug back. You do not make it powerful, but not too loose, it's just perfect. She even starts to nuzzle your neck with her head. Dainty, benevolent, and somewhat fussy. "Let me get ready for bed, if you're fine on leaving me to do it." She runs off and heads up stairs. You stay put to make sure everything is in your backpack and in the right order. It's still a school night, so you may as well get whatever you've had and organize for hell. Still, it's nicer than what was back home. This won't be too bad, especially with a friend to rely on like Fluttershy. Along with a few kids back at school, such as Flash and that group of girls. You just remember to check your phone. You bring it out and see that it was still left on vibrate. Wow... and you didn't even felt it once. You moved so often so why wouldn't you? You look at the screen and see a few messages. Pinkie Pie was the earliest by sending: "Have fun w/ ur friend!" "Ya wanna hang out this Sat. w/ me & the gals?" Applejack sent hers a few minutes later: "You're a nice guy, sorry for the roughing from Rainbow, she's that "Go to" attitude. Rarity was the last one to be sent from the rest: "I look forward to our next gathering." When you read what Dash sent, it was different from all the others. "Hey, sorry for the hard time earlier 2day, I acted like that to try and blend in with the rest of the school. Just to try and blend in. Turns out, I just needed this small group, rather than the entire school to be with me. Can't wait to hang out with you again soon! You up for Sat?" You scroll past to read one that stood out from all others. It was from your dad. "Sorry that we haven't talked to you in a while. Your mom just got a promotion, and I just been working overtime. Don't worry, we're still getting some rest. Sure hope that new school is much more welcoming than the last one. Have a goodnight, Anon. -Dad" You decided to text back. "I'm just fine. Finally made some friends, but there's this one that I surely won't let go. She really is one to keep as a best friend for the next few years. She went through hard times, But it will change. Thank you again for letting me take care of myself in this new town, I will not let you guys down." You can hear footsteps coming down from the staircase. You slide your phone back in your left pocket and look up. "What do you think?" Fluttershy is swimming in a sweater a couple sizes too big, sleeping pants to match the sweaters color & her hair loose and free. You gawk at the nighttime version of her. "Umm... is it too much?" You try to sound out words that only can be made out as gibberish. "M-maybe I s-should change into... something more-" "No, no. It's fine. It's more than fine. It's... beautiful." She clutches her hands and rubs them together in an insecure manner. "Come, I want to show you my bedroom." Fluttershy makes her way upstairs. You drop your backpack and follow her. A few of them creek, but you continue on. There's a window to your left and the walkway seems to continue on the right. You start to enter the aisle and see three doors and a window, letting the setting suns rays peering in. There are two on the right and one on the left. "It's right in here." Walk down the hallway and catch up with her at the door. As she turns the doorknob, it slowly clicks and the door opens to reveal her bedroom. It seems to be more of a guest room, modified for some people who can't let go of the good days. The room is not exactly spacious, but it is just enough to room a couple of people. "Wow... it's very tranquil in here." "T-thank you." You wander in and stand by the bed. This looks like the biggest, softest bed that you've ever encountered. Normally, the beds that you sleep in are twin size. This one clearly seems to be much bigger. Queen, probably king size. The last time you saw a bed like this was the one you were created from. You cringe just by that thought. But, this is a nice room, even if you prefer some posters from M-rated games and the Alternative-Rock bands. In this room, you can feel more stable. "What should we do? We have a few more hours until we should sleep." Seeing that this is a house in the woods, there's no point to ask if there is some television or a laptop laying around here. "What do you normally do to pass the time?" The sagging sleeves slide over her arms as she rubs them. "Well... I-I have some games, d-do you want to play?" Let's see what she has. "Sure. What do you have?" She goes on her knees and reaches under her bed to pull out a few puzzles and board games and a deck of cards. You open up a puzzle box worth of 250 pieces with no scattered pieces. Instead, it's all aligned and connected to form the perfect picture indicated on the box. You close it and open up another puzzle box, this one has much more, a total of 500. Open it up and see the same result, everything is in place. There's something about her free time that you're starting to catch. You close this one, and grab an 1000 piece puzzle of a city. What's inside is a halfway done puzzle. "I just recently got that one." "You want some help to finish this one?" The smile she had was just too much that you've ever seen on her. "YES! I mean, OK." For roughly 2 hours, the both of you grasp hands a couple of times to get the piece each of you wanted to place. This was too common to happen, more than a set of car crashes in a freeway. Nevertheless; it was completed. Fluttershy was extra cautious of putting it back in to not let a single bit fall out. She slipped to top part of the box back into place, like it was never opened. "I will say that it was fun." As she slips the puzzle boxes back in, a rosey red appears on her face. "It... really was nice. What should we do now?" You look at what is left on the floor. There is a few board games and the deck of cards. You browse through them and see what she has. Connect 4, Chutes and Ladders, Twister, Scramble, and something at the bottom. "This one's my favorite." She moves a few of the games aside to reveal the one buried in them. It's a board game named "Timberland Wanderers." Fluttershy grabs one side and tries to slide it open. You grab the other and lift it up. The cover comes off and shows of a standard board with trails. Looks like CandyLand, just themed at the woods. It starts off from the outside of the forest, and ends at the opposite side. There's the standard: "Stuck in mud, lose a turn." and "Lost, back 2 spaces." Can't have a board game without some obstacles, now can you? One of the pieces is a butterfly. There's a few more, but they are all in separate bags that haven't been opened. They have a bit of dust around the folds holding it. The others are a squirrel, raccoon, porcupine and a rabbit. "Go ahead, pick an animal." You think about getting something badass, like the porcupine having the spikes coated everywhere. Or maybe the raccoon for having that robbers mask, it kind of reminds you of that one game. Instead, without even noticing, you grab the rabbit out of the assortment of critters. "Oh! That's a cute one! I actually was thinking of owning one someday, but I'm not sure." You open up the package without any struggle. "What's stopping you from owning one?" "I'm... just having some trouble on what to do with him. I'm not sure if my guardian will appreciate it, and what's worse, is that I'll be at school. I just don't want to leave him here." That does sound like some trouble, but you may have an idea that could work. "This might be a little hard to do, but you could put him in your backpack. That way, he can be with you at all times." Such eyes on Fluttershy's face never went so immense before. "That... that sounds like a great idea! Thank you! But... what if my guardian refuses to let me have one?" Huh... she's got a point. Maybe having an animal companion wouldn't be too bad if thing's go downhill. "What if I took care of him." "You're willing to do that!?" "Anything for a friend of mine." Her eyes dim a little, so does her smile. "Oh... OK. Well, thank you very much. You're really making my life easier." "It's not a problem, that's what pals do." She flinches a little. Huh, maybe she's sitting on a missing dice or a lost puzzle piece? "Yeah... let's start playing." "Sounds good." You lost, again. She has to be cheating. But with what, rigged dice? This is the third game now, and Fluttershy has beaten you in all of them. If only this was a video game console, the odds would be in your favor. Suck it up and admit your defeat. "Wow, you're extremely good at this game." She fiddles with her sweater. "Just, some practice... maybe a lot." Oh no, she's starting to go down. Time to move the subject. "I'm surprised that she bought all of these for you." Fluttershy's smile fades away into a sad frown. Shit, what did you say? "Hey, what's wrong?" Hesitation is all that she answers, but then she exhales heavily. "I should... tell you something." She tells that the owner of this house has a medical condition that prevents her from obtaining her own child. It was only a matter of time that she would adopt one. That's where Fluttershy's absence at the orphange came into play at the right time. Just as Fluttershy was taken into new arms, she noticed some baby clothes in the cabinet of her room. The owner crabbed armfulls of the clothing and thrw it into the master bedroom. That was the only time Flutters saw her protector cry. After the story, you and Fluttershy just stare at the board game. "Hey, you have a home now. Life is better here, even before I arrived. Don't let that get to you." You see her mouth curve a little. "Is that a smile, I see?" Fluttershy giggles like... She's already a little girl, what else? "OK, you've got me." A yawn slips out of your mouth. "Do you...-" She yawns. "-want to get some rest?" She finishes her sentence. You look at the clock of her bed stand. It's past nine-thirty. "Yeah, that's probably best. It's a school night, and we're going to need a lot of energy for the last school day of the week." "Good idea. I'll be right back, I need to head for the bathroom." "Go ahead, take your time." You say as she heads off and exits the room. You eye the window in front of you. You get up and walk around the board game to stand near the window and open it. You look out to the barely visible pearl white moon in the horizon. You lay a part of your body to the wall and gaze outside, thinking about mom and dad back home. It start to flow through you, wondering If they are fine, what they are doing right now, and if they miss you. Then you realize Fluttershy's parents. A father who never got the chance to see his own daughter and a mother who surrenders her daughter to the government. Thank goodness you have parents that are alive and they care about you, even if they show you their love through sentimental items. They never had the time to have some quality time with you, but you know they cared about you. Who knows about Fluttershy's father managed to stay alive. Possibly her life wouldn't be this way, or worse... it was for the better. Something rests on the right side of your shoulder. "Hey." Fluttershy slowly peers from the right side. "Oh, hi." She leaves her hand on your shoulder, but you don't mind that. "Is everything alright?" "Yup, just... just thinking that's all." "Thinking about what?" You feel skeptical on telling her. "Just... my parents." Her mouth agapes a little. Are they... alright?" "Yeah, they're working nonstop. I just hope things work out." She nuzzles her head against your arm. "They're fine. And I'm sure they still love you." "I guess..." Both of you just stare at outside for another minute. Fluttershy then breaks the silence. "We probably should clean up the mess we've made." You look over and see that she's looking at the board game. "Oh, right. I'll help." She goes around and starts to place her knees to the ground. You bend over- "Ow!" "OW!" The both of you fall back and land your ass on the wooden floor. You rub the top of your head and look over to Flutters to see that she is doing the same to her head. "I'm sorry! I was-" "No, no. It's fine." "It's my fault, I should have let you go first." You apologize. "Don't worry, a good night's rest will give it a heal by the morning." You start to grab the board and fold it up. "W-wait, let me fold it." You look at the board and notice that you are flipping it in a different pattern. "Whoops. Here." You hand over the board and see her flip it once with a flick of her wrist. You are stunned at the performance she gave off. "Is everything fine? Did I show off?" "Everything's fine. You just never stop amazing me, Flutters." "Oh, stop. It's nothing." She lowers the board and tries to slide it in the box. You notice that one of its corners is stick, preventing it from slipping down. "I'll get a side." You grab the side of the board and slide it down at the same rate as her. Once it fits like a glove, you set everything else inside; the playing pieces, dice, "Fate" cards and rule book. The both of you do the same thing with the lid of the box. She slides the box under the bed and stands up. You do the same and start to head out the room. "W-where are you going?" You turn around and see her sitting on the bed. "Oh, I thought that I could sleep on the couch or something." "You don't need to. You can sleep with me." "Fluttershy, are you sure?" "More than ever." It's an offer. A genuine one but, it's too much to handle. You know damn well that she is a friend. This is just too much. "Can't I just sleep on the floor?" "Don't be silly. There's more than enough room on this bed." You can't argue on this one. "But... I can't sleep in my street clothes. I don't want to give out germs from the outside." You are really digging for any excuse. "Well..." She raises the bed cover high enough that you can only see her eyes, "You could... take them off." There is no way she is serious. In the same bed is one thing, but being stripped? Making sure about her safety is one thing... but getting "comfortable" is another. This day is just beyond out of the ordinary. The one thing that prevents you from arguing any further is the thought that if she is happy, it's worth it. "Alright Flutters, I'll..." Her vest eyes stare into your very soul. She's on the edge of your answer. "I'll sleep with you." She lets go of the sheets and squee's harder than a rubber duck. "But I'm only taking off my shirt, OK?" She nods, like a damaged bobble head. You take off your shirt, and set it on the couch in front of her bed. Look back up and see Fluttershy's mouth agape and overwhelmed at you're upper nudity. "What?" "It's nothing, nothing. Just, rest, please. It's going to be a looong day tomorrow." Ain't that the truth. You take off your shoes and socks and set them next to the foot of the bed. Climb in and take your side. You roll to the right and see Fluttershy, staring at you with a grin on her face. "Happy?" "S-so much." You shift back to stair at the ceiling. "I just wanted to let you know that... I feel completely safe with you here. The kids at the orphanage where ruthless and harsh. With you... I feel protected and relaxed. No one ever had the time to be with me for anything." A warm feeling slowly rises inside you. "Anything for you." You close your eyes and head into sleep. The sound of the sheets move around and something very hushed goes through. What happens next, is that you must've thought from a long, and hard day. "Goodnight... Romeo~" "Hmm?" "N-nothing." > Part 3: Rough Morning > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your dream was purely weird. Well, your dreams were normally weird and you would forget them in the morning, but this one was uncommon. In one part, you were kissing something, or someone. It was fuzzy and unclear, but whoever's lips they were are firm and soft. Right then, the alarm clock wakes you up. The sensation of feeling groggy at the disturbance of that sudden awakening makes you feel like complete shit. You turn your head to the left and see that right now is 7:00. Seriously? Let's check on- Fluttershy is napping on you. She has her head under your chin, and the rest of her body is laying on top of yours. Scattered pink hair prevents you from looking at her face. No matter, right now you see her moving. A dainty yawn is sounded, along with seeing her face. Lazy eyelids still show on her, along with an uplifting smile. It all fades away when her eyes meet up with yours. In a frightening way, she rolls of your body, along with a small yelp. Flutters lands on her side of the bed and sits up. "I'm so sorry! I just, w-wanted to... to..." You give out a small laugh. "If you wanted to cuddle, you could've asked." She attempts to give out a half-effort chuckle. "Yeah... cuddle." Turn over and stop the ringing from the alarm clock. "Why are we up so early?" "Oh, there's the matter of getting ready and heading to school." True, it took you about an hour getting here. Where you live, is just a ten minute walk to school. So now, there's an hour until both of you need to head out. "I'll go and brush my hair, you don't mind that I leave you here?" "It's perfectly fine. Go on ahead." She gets up and heads off to brush up on her bed hair. You move to the left side of the bed and sit there. Such a crazy night. That dream, something whispered. You're possibly loosing it. Maybe it's time to talk to a psychologist. No, not yet, you still have your sanity still intact. Just keep it as a back up plan. After that's done, get up and sit next to the couch. Slip on your shirt & finally, your socks and shoes. Hear the shower turned on from down the hall. Now it will take a while for her to come back out. Maybe you could cook some breakfast. Get off the couch, head down the hallway, down the stairs and look for the kitchen. You see the doorway and head for it. Yup, here it is. Refrigerator, stove and oven, trash can, dining table with a fruit bowl. Definitely the kitchen. Open the door to the refrigerator and take out a pair of eggs. Set them on the counter and start up the stove. Grab, crack the eggs over a pan and start stirring them around on your own pace. Good thing about being by yourself, you've adapted the ability to cook. Too bad this happened too frequently, even before you moved here. What a let down. Now you force yourself every morning, lunch, and dinner, to make an actual meal. If only your parents would've given their time to give out a lesson or two. Unfortunately, that really did make a cost. What was lost during this was; a microwave, a few cooking utensils, 5 dozen eggs, and the kitchen being burned down twice. Your mom and dad weren't exactly mad, they were actually impressed. So impressed, that they made you re-paint the kitchen. Wait... that was punishment! Assholes. You look down and see the eggs are now scrambles and at a perfect blend of yellow. Turn off the oven, open up a cabinet, and lucky enough, this one has some plates. Take them out and set them on the counter. "Anon?" "Oh, hey Flut-" You turn around and see Fluttershy soaked and just covered in a towel. Awkwardly stand there while holding the pan. "I just finished and smelled something, did you cook?" You stand still and gawk like the primate you are. "Uh- yeah! Yeah, learned it when I was a child." Blood pumping has increased tenfold, hardening in the groin, and while being assisted by hormones. Crap, you must hide it! You turn back around and start distracting yourself by pouring the eggs on the plates and grabbing a pair of forks. "That's impressive. I'll sit by the table." This is the most horrible moment in your entire life. Snap out of it! Embrace it! Grab the plates and walk like someone shot you on the dick. "Here we are." You lay the plates on the table and sit on the left side of her. Just focus on the food, not on her, just the food. "Did you sleep well last night?" She asks. "Yeah, best rest ever, that's a really comfy bed you have there." You take the fork and get a bite out of the blended egg. "Just wanted to make sure that you were fine. Again, I'm sorry for resting on top of you." "It's fine. Don't worry about it, let's just eat." Distract yourself on the food and not on the bathed girl. "Are you sure? No sores or pressure on you?" The only pressure hear is your junior is struggling to get out. "I'm fine." You swallow your food. "We should get a move on, we might be late." You just finish and look over to Fluttershy's plate. There's only bits of her eggs that are gone. "Please, accept my apologies." You snap and get up from the chair. "It's completely fine! I happened to enjoyed it!" The sensation of flared faces pass from you and her. You noticed her eyes are distinctively looking at the lower part of your body. Red flag, red flag! Grab your plate and head for the sink. "Welp, I'll clean the dishes and head out." "W-wait! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!" A moisturized hand sets on your shoulder. Follow it to see her without anything. The seat she was sitting on contains the towel she was wearing. What's worse is that you realize that she's not wearing anything under that towel. You learned that the hard way. Turn back around before you do something you'd regret. "Oh no! Oh my! Oh dear me!" Rapid footsteps hammer into your ears as you scrub like mad on the already clean plate. "I think it's time for me to go." You turn back around and see that she is wearing that towel once again. "Stop! Please! This is all my fault!" The waterworks start to flow from her face. You've seen enough, but you don't want to see her cry. Why can't you get a break? "I'll stay." She claps and that towel falls down. Cover your eyes quickly before it starts to imprint into the back of your head. "Just- get dressed! Please!" You hear something being picked up and wrapped around her. "Sure. You can open them up now." "No, it's fine. Just, grab my hand and guide me to the couch." "Oh... okay." You keep them closed, but reach out an arm. She grabs it, and starts pulling you. You follow the tug, and- *BONK! "Damnit!" "Whoops! You walked into the wall. Here, this way." Keep on walking and hit your knee on something. "Aww, come on!" Your eyes remained shut. "Now now, we're almost there." A few more steps and she lets go. "There, just sit down and I'll go and get dressed." Some pressure goes against your chest and you fall back, along with her. Your back lands perfectly on the couch, with Fluttershy toppling over you. Open your eyes and see her face, redder than a chilly pepper. The urge to resist on looking anymore of her is becoming to its highest difficulty. "I- you- trip... towel... sorry?" Breathe. Just inhale and exhale. There. "Fluttershy... just, please. Go, and get dressed." She slides back and gets her towel that is laying on top of your groin that's fully charged. Her hands mistakenly grasp it as she pulls the wet towel off of you. You regrettably think that was great. "Don't leave! Well, not yet. I-I'll get some clothes on." She scurries off with the towel flying freely right beside her. Like a- No, just let it go and focus onto something else. You grab out your phone and look at what you can see. It's only 7:20. Huh, you expected it to be longer from all that eating and staring. You move on by seeing a new message. A text from Rainbow Dash: "I'm still waiting on your response. Me and the girls are hanging out tomorrow, you in?" Suddenly, an idea grows. You text back. "Yeah, just let me invite a friend of mine." Send. Now you play the waiting game. 4 minutes go by, so you look through the Internet to bide some time. "New Message: That's alright, sure hope they're up for some crazy times." You can only pray that Fluttershy isn't too nervous for these "good" news. Thinking of which, you hear her walking down the stairs. She's wearing a green dress that reaches to her kneecaps and slip-on shoes to match. Thank God the temptations are over. She heads for the couch and sits beside you. Look at your phone and its only 7:25. "Hey, do you want to talk for a while?" "Yes, that's fine. What is it?" "Well... what if I told you that... I could get you even some more friends." Her eyes reached new heights on how far they can be widened. "Did... Friends... Really?!" You wave your phone around. "Yup! This Saturday!" She squees and shakes her arms. Only then she realizes something. "Saturday? Tomorrow, Saturday?" You nod your head. "Well... I don't know if I can. I'll be at the animal shelter tomorrow." Wow, is that all she ever does? "How about this, I can come with you today after school, and go with you tomorrow. After that, we can go ahead and get you acquainted with some new faces." Her eyes go back to the state of shock and happiness. Next thing you know, she clams to your waist and hugs you from there. "Thank you, thank you!" Your body shifts around from her hug. You pat her head that is resting against your mid section. "Just trying to help out a friend." Feel a small jolt from her going through your body. Weird. You ignore it, and just keep on brushing her hair. "You've really done a lot for me in just less than a day." "We just share somethings in common. Do, uhh... do you want to cuddle?" You look down and see her face brighter than the surface of a star. "Y... yes." After a minute, you lay on the couch with Fluttershy against your body. You ignore the half massed awkward boner, and just continue on comforting her. "Anon?" "Yes?" "What if... what if they don't-" She gulps uncomfortably. "-l-like me?" A small worried feeling grows within your gut. There could be a chance that could happen. Seeing on how Rainbow Dash was harsh the first time you met her. Oh God, who knows how it'll be on how she meets Fluttershy. No matter, you'll stay by Fluttershy as much that she's stuck by you so far. "Don't worry, I'll be there to make you feel safe and unharmed." You can feel her cuddle you even closer. "I knew I can rely on you." She is such a doll. Maybe... maybe you could go out with her. Yeah, that would be- Wait, that is a bad idea. She's your friend. You're the one to show her the good parts in life. And you're willing to risk that for a relationship? Fuck that. Friends go further, anyhow. As time goes by, you lose track and realize the clock on the wall and noticed it's 7:48. It is probably best to leave now. "Hey, Flutters." You heard moaning coming from her. Did she fall asleep? "Fluttershy." "Only a few more minutes, Rosie..." "Flutters..." You nudge her a bit. "No, but I care about him~" What in the flying piss? "Fluttershy!" Shes startled and jumps a few millimeters into the air. "Huh, wha-? O-oh. Sorry." "Feel better?" "Y-yeah. Just... needed some rest." Move your left arm and point directly at the hanging clock. "Oh, dear. We should start heading for school." Nice of her to join in. She gets off of you and heads upstairs. You roll off the couch and grab your stuff. Better head for the door. Stand straight up, strap on the bag to your back, and head for the door. "Hold on!" She comes down the steps, wearing her bag and brushing her hair. The brush slips into her bag and she stands at attention. "I'm set." "Alright, let's get a move on." The walk was a little awkward. There wasn't really much to talk about, since all of that was covered all just in one day. Shame you couldn't have left off something to at least say. Oh well, just hope something comes along later in the day. The two of you arrived at school around 8:50. The bell issuing all the students head to class rings, and say goodbye to Fluttershy. She braked down and almost busted into tears. What was worse is that everyone was watching. You par her head and said that you'll meet up with her on break and lunch. See her wipe away the tears and slowly get up. Help her up, by grabbing her arm. "You can last for two hours, just two hours and we can meet up here, outside." You say to support her. A grin slowly grows on her face. "You're really more than a friend to me." Fluttershy gives a quick hug, and a small kiss to your cheek. She scurries off, and waives at you. What a nice friend. Huh, you must be her best friend right now. Nice! Too bad you can't go any higher than that. Even if you wanted to, that might make things awkward. That would be the minimum consequence. Best to leave it as what the both of you are for now. Make that as the rest of each others lives.
