The Weakness

Trixie had just run from Ponyville after tripping as she ran under the cover of the smoke. She was outside Ponyville, looking back at it, hearing the cheers of ponies as they revel celebration. Trixie wanted to stay longer, but she feared the how much backlash she'd get for what she did to everypony. As she walked more out of the rural town to her wagon, she felt began to feel worse about the grief she caused them. By the time she got into her wagon, she had began to cry. She was inside, tears coming down her face, as she started to think of why she did that in the first place. She threw her cape and hat off in disgust with herself, she wanted to forget.

Her mind started to be cloudy by what her motives were, revenge. Trixie wanted to beat Twilight Sparkle any way she could, so she even turned to dangerous artifacts. What made her feel worse was that while corrupted she was enjoying the power, the control over other ponies, she adored it, she hated the fact that she loved every second of it. Forcing other ponies to do what she said, afterwards it felt so wrong, yet, at the same time right. Every time this thought came up she began to feel worse.

She looked at herself in the mirror and saw a washed up jerk, who will never have true friends, sure there's Twilight, but her jealously will always be there, to make Trixie hate her, want to bring her down, but then she'll lose a friend, the only one she feels she truly has. She wiped her tears away just barley as she continued to view herself in the mirror, she didn't see the great and powerful Trixie, she saw the weak and pathetic loser.

She looked down at the ground at her tear drops, ashamed at the weakness she displayed. Revolted, she looked back up at the mirror and with a magical blast broke it, shattering the mirror into pieces. Like the mirror, her faith in herself had been shattered, and is practically impossible to fix. She dropped to the ground, and the weeping had begun. She wanted to be good enough to be respected, she wanted praise, the only way she ever got it was through her old ways.

As she continued to weep, she heard something outside her window. She got up from the ground and opened the window. She saw nothing, she closed the window back and went to her bed. Trixie pulled the blanket over her and laid her head on her pillow. The tears from her face trickled onto her pillow as more dark thoughts pulled her into deeper self hate. Closing her eyes, she attempts to fall asleep, unsure if it would happen.

Trixie managed to fall asleep, but even in her dreams she wasn't safe from here sadness. Her dream was just all the worst events of that time, playing her up as a villain who should be hated, and shunned. The dome encasement, the forced labor, and the banishing of Twilight, were on an endless loop.

She tossed and turned in her bed, terrified of her own mind. As she turned left in right in her bed a dark cloud formed hovered from the broken glass on her floor. It drifted towards Trixie, getting closer with every passing moment. It floated above her body as it continued to toss and flail in the bed. Trixie took a breath, and the cloud was breathed in. In her sleep, she coughed violently, puffing out parts of the dark cloud. Trixie then started to wheeze and wheeze, still coughing in her sleep. Her wheezing began to worsen as her breath got shorter and shorter. Her breathing become shallow and even more restless.

After a very violent cough, came a light blue cloud. the cloud dissipated in the air in moments. Trixie no longer was moving around in her bed, instead she was steady. Snoring was heard as she relaxed and got her breathing back to normal. Inside her dream, things began to change.

The replays of those events continued in her face, as if she was forced to sit through it all. The air in her dream starts to become thick. Trixie notices this and as she does, discovers that the replay is getting harder and harder to see.

"Wh-What is this?" she wondered in a calm voice wiping tears from her face.

The air soon accumulated and poured behind Trixie, making the shape of a dark cloud. Trixie turned around an saw the dark smoke cloud. Baffled, she tries to reach out an touch it. When she does, the cloud backs away and begins to take a shape.

The cloud started to sprout four legs, each leg one at a time. The legs touched the ground and then the head formed, and began to change and contort into a face. It still continued to look like a silhouette as a long straight tail, with a sharp end was made.

The cloud body was fully formed and took on colors that she recognized. It had taken the form of Trixie herself. Trixie was shocked to see the previously dark cloud change into her.

"What are you? And why are you me?" she questioned the Trixie cloud.

The Trixie cloud got closer to Trixie while stating a few words.

"Power, revenge I can give it to you." It said approaching her.

She had thought about it, but knew this wasn't a good idea. Although she did want revenge, she blames Twilight for making her feeling like trash. Trixie doesn't want to think that way, she's trying to push those feelings away. Her decision to have power and more magical and mental power than Twilight, or have her as friend she wishes she could be happy for. She would do anything to make her horrible feeling go away. Even with all the possible risks, she walks up to the Trixie cloud, and extends her hoof.

"Ma-Make me stronger." Trixie said looking down at the ground, as her hoof shook, waiting for what was going to happen next.

This could be okay

The sun rose to start the next day as Trixie slowly opened her eyes. She had barley any memory of last night or her dream, but she still felt pitiful. She got up from her bed, looked at her floor, and notice that her mirror was fixed and that there was no glass on the floor. She looked around the floor in confusion, as she wondered what happened. She walked towards her mirror, and notice, her mane had a black streak down it.

"Huh! I don't remember doing anything with my mane!" as she began to think of why her mane would be like that she immediately got a splitting headache.

"Uuuah! My head!" she said as she started to massage her temples. She then started to levitate a brush, when she did, she sent it through her ceiling.

"What in Celestia!" she shouts as she looks up at the gaping hole in the ceiling.

Debris begins to fall, and before it hits her, a magical force field forms around her whole body. The debris was greatly deflected, flying all around the wagon. She looked at her mirror and noticed her horn glowing a dark blackish blue. Not only that, but the black streak in her mane also began to glow.

"What is this, this, odd power, and where did it come from?" she wondered scratching her head.

As she scratched her head she touched the black streak in her mane, and felt a slight shock.

"Ow! What was that!" she shouted as she quickly moved her hoof from her mane. She looked at here hoof, and saw the burn almost immediately heal.

"Wha-What was that?" she questioned as she looked at her hoof in surprise.

After seeing this, she wanted to test this a little more, she levitates a pushpin, and pricks herself with it.

"Oww!" she screamed.

She looked at her hoof and saw the blood that had begun to pool, disappear, and small hole close up, and the pain go away. She was stunned, she could not be hurt. As she wondered how this happened to her, she remembered the dream she had last night. She remembered what happened after she allowed the cloud to give her power. There was a problem, she only had bits and pieces of the dream, so she only know certain details, but what she did remember was very odd.

She remembered seeing herself come from smoke, and then her hoof extended out. From there, she remembers seeing darkness, and a pain emanating from her cutie mark. Then a sudden gasp for air, along with the feeling of happiness from a thought she had, that she can no longer remember. The last thing she remembers from her dream was that she broke her mirror with a magical blast. She thought that was strange, that she was crazy, but something made her disregard this feeling.

She looked back up at the mirror and noticed her horn still glowing with that odd color, she wonders why it continues to glow. She touches her horn, and immediately teleported outside her wagon, and right on top of it. She looked around, baffled at what had just happened.

"What! What was that!" she wondered as she notices her horn stop glowing. "Was that, teleportation!?" she said.

She was astonished she could teleport. She had never learned that spell, but now she does! She wants to try it out more, so she thought of somewhere, and used her new found knowledge, and teleported all the way Canterlot.

She had teleported to a cafe she had been to before. Her sudden appearance startled the gray stallion with nice suit and smug look on the other side of the table.

"Wha! Who are you!" He shouted, demanding an explanation for her intrusion.

"I'm sorry, I was outside Ponyville when I-"

"Did you say Ponyville? That lowly place, how pathetic. How could you have teleported from there to here." He interrupted, scuffing at Trixie as he talked down to her.

At that moment, something triggered in Trixie. Her horn began to glow with that same blackish color. Her face had dramatically shifted to great rage. The black streak in her mane began to widen slowly as it also began to glow. Her eyes glowed blood red as she stared directly at the stallion.

"Wha-What is happening!? What are you doing!?" He screamed, getting the attention of all the nearby ponies

"DON'T.....CALL.....ME....PATHETIC!!!!!!" Trixie yelled at the top of her lungs.

She fired a magical blast at him, he went flying through a building all the way across the street, knocking down the whole building in that one shot. The other ponies flock to check if he, and the other ponies in the building are alright. A bunch of them use levitate the large pieces of debris, while others call for medical assistance.

As the other ponies are trying to help the people that were in the building, the rest looked at Trixie with shock and fear. Trixie then looked at them with a terrifying smile, while her eyes still glowed blood red.

"How many of you saw anything?" she said in calm, but creepy voice.

"I-I did! And I will report you!" one mare says, while she begins to run to the castle.

"Good luck with that." Trixie says in calm voice.

As the mare continues to run, Trixie teleports in front of her. The mare stops in fright at Trixie's sudden appearance.

"Pl-please don't hurt me?" she asks Trixie with fear clearly visible in her voice.

"Don't worry, you won't feel a thing." Trixie replies so calmly, it scares the mare more.

"Wh-What do you mean?" the mare says.

Before the mare could react, Trixie vaporizes her almost instantly. Leaving dust and an medium indent where the mare stood. The others around were horrified at what they had witnessed. Trixie looked the 6 other ponies around.

"How many of you saw that?" she asks them while walking up to them.

"W-We saw nothing." a young filly unicorn says while shaking in fear.

"Good, now to make sure you all forget!" Trixie states as her horn glows brighter.

"Oh no! Please don't!" the filly screamed, begging her not to kill them.

A large magical shock wave goes out from her horn, making everypony within 8 miles forget what happened. She then teleports from canterlot, back to her wagon. Her horn stops glowing, her eyes turn back to normal, and the streak in her mane, thinned back to it's original size. She came back to normal, and realized what she did, she felt awful, but only for a moment.
