Prologue

Ranma held the Wishbringer in his hand, not sure what to think. Was it luck that he was it's new master or was it Kuno's stupidity for trying to use Ranma as a human trap-detector, offering him the first chance of pulling it. He doesn't even know if the wishes will work, but what he does know is that this might be his one chance to start over; to live a better, more fulfilling life, especially after what happened with the wedding.

"That's what I'll wish for…" he said.

Later he managed to gather everyone in the Dojo… everyone, his fiancés, the Kuno siblings, his parents, the Tendos, Ryoga and the Amazons.

"Alright, I chose my wishes…" said Ranma, "Firstly, I wish that everyone who has the Jusenkyo Curse, excluding myself, and pops, would be cured."

The sword began to glow, as did Mousse, Shampoo and Ryoga. The three didn't know what to say.

"Why didn't you cure me!" yelled Genma.

"Why do you think, old man? Revenge!" Ranma growled, "Now my second wish is for all the girls who are in love with me to find happiness one day…"

The sword began to glow once again.

"Ranma?" said Akane.

"Ranma Honey?" said Ukyo.

"Why you wish that? asked Shampoo.

"Because my last wish… is to be reborn in another world with a loving family, with actual friends…" said Ranma.

Both him and the sword began to glow…

"Good bye…" said Ranma.

Everyone in the room gasped as the boy slowly faded from view.

"Oh my…" said Kasumi.

"He's gone…" said Akane who began to cry.

"Akane…" said Ryoga walking up to her.

Akane hugged him, "I can't believe he's really gone…" she cried.

"But he's in a better place…" said Ryoga.

"And who could really blame him for leaving…" said Ukyo glaring at Genma.

In another world… a very different world… a world of talking ponies, dragons and griffons, a mare named Twilight Velvet was giving birth to her second and third foal.

It had been three years since her first foal, Shining Armor, was born, and in that time, Equestria had seen its fair share of both good and bad. For Twilight's husband, Night Light, good came in the form of safety. He had protected the city of Canterlot, home of the Princess of the Sun, Princess Celestia, from hydras, manticores, griffons and dragons. He was one of the most decorated officers of the Royal Guard. But, as is the case, all good things must come to an end. Captain Night Light's end came in the form of a cockatrice. That was three months ago, with the new statue standing proudly atop a grave in the Canterlot cemetery, and two foals about to be born.

"Its a filly" one of the nurses said, as the first foal was born, a cute little purple unicorn filly. "What are you going to name her?"

Twilight smiled as she got a look at her daughter. "Twilight," she breathed. "I'll call her Twilight Sparkle."

The moment was destroyed a moment later, as Twilight's body was wracked with pain once again, as another foal was borne into the world, this one dark blue.

"Another filly," the nurse said again.

Little did they know that the infant filly now resting in the magical aura of one of the nurses was, in fact, the reincarnation of one Ranma Saotome, and he - er - she had all the memories of his past life.

'What? A girl? A girl horse? Or is it pony?' thought Ranma. 'I'm a girl. A filly. I should have asked to get rid of my curse. Damn it!'

She felt the nurse lift her up into the hooves of her mother Twilight, next to his sister Twilight.

"She's beautiful... I think I'll name her Aurora... Midnight Aurora." Twilight said weakly.

'Great...' thought Ranma... Or should it be Aurora?

"Thank you... Night Light... But I don't think I'll be able to..." she breathed, her breathing slowing, almost to a halt as her eyes began to close.

"Shes fading fast!" One of the nurses cried, seeing what was happening.

'No...' Aurora inwardly gasped, as she watched her brilliant plan fall to pieces right in front of her.

Outside the delivery room, two ponies anxiously waited for news. One was a white colt, about three years old, with a blue mane and tail named Shining Armor, while the other was the tall, regal pony, with both a horn and wings. Princess Celestia.

Celestia chuckled in amusement as she watched the young colt. "You should really sit down, you're trotting a hole into the floor."

It was at that moment that the pair heard a commotion in the delivery room, starting with a pair of foals crying, followed by the sound of frantic voices, and ending in silence. A moment later, one of the nurse trotted through the door, a solemn expression on her face.

"Princess Celestia, thank you for being here for Mrs. Velvet," she said.

"Its the least I can do," the princess replied with a smile. "After all, her husband was a hero to many. It seems only right to be here, if only to show my thanks." Celestia then frowns. "What was that commotion in there earlier? Is everything all right?"

The nurse sighs. "I'm afraid that I have both good news and bad news in relation to what you heard. The good news is that two healthy fillies were born."

The white colt grinned, happy to hear that, but his joy was not to last.

"The bad news," the nurse continued. "Is that Twilight Velvet passed away minutes after the delivery. I'm afraid we must put them up for adoption, unless somepony takes them in."

"I'll take them in," the voice of Princess Celestia cut in before the nurse could continue.

"Are you sure?" the nurse asked skeptically. "Raising two foals is no easy feat. They will need constant attention, and your duties may not permit you to provide the care they will undoubtedly need."

Celestia nodded. "I took care of my sister for seven years after our parents died. This will be no different."

The nurse smiled as she bowed her head. "In that case, feel free to go meet your new family."

Not too long later, Aurora was sitting in her crib. Thinking.

'Great... My new mom's dead... And from what I can gather, my new dad is as well. Now me and my new sister are probably going to be separated. Wheres the family I wanted?'

'...?'

Aurora stiffened as she felt an unknown presence touch her mind in a curious, questioning manner. It was both alien and familiar, like it was someo - er - somepony she knew... Almost like...

'Twilight?'

'...!'

The presence, which was indeed the mind of Twilight Sparkle, recoiled at the thought that Aurora had projected, the small filly bursting into tears in the next crib over. Before she could do anything, however, two new ponies trotted into the room.

"So thats Aurora and Twilight..." Shining Armor said, trying not to cry.

"Shining..." the princess said as she wrapped a wing around him. "They're your sisters... Its not their fault your mother died. Listen to me Shining. Don't ever hate your sisters. They need you now more than ever."

"I know," the white colt sighed. "I just wish that mom hadn't died..."

"Me too, Shining. Me too."

'So, I have an older brother, and a twin sister,' Aurora thought. 'I guess thats better than nothing'

A few days later, after Twilight and Aurora were released from the hospital, Princess Celestia made what she told the nurse back at the hospital official, and took the parentless family under her wing.

Years passed, and the family lived happily at the castle. Shining Armor joined the Royal Guard, like his father had, while Twilight and Aurora became Princess Celestia's personal students. Aurora, of course, started her Martial Arts training anew, retraining herself in the techniques she had learned in her original world, and adapting them to be used with pony anatomy. The mental bond that the pair had discovered minutes after their birth grew steadily stronger, until they were able to freely communicate with each other using it, which came in useful when one of them forgot to study for a test. This bond forced Aurora to train at night, when Twilight was asleep, so as not to arouse suspicion.

However, one day...
