Waking up here is always tricky. You have to look around the second you wake up. Being in the Everfree forest isn't too smart, but he can't go back home. "Ok, what should I shift into today?” A dark red changeling said as he scratched his chin. "I Know!” He said.” I’ll be a manticore!" He said as he jumped slightly in the air as he began to hover. Then, moments later a green like flame engulfed him from his hooves to his horn, almost instantly changing him to a.....bunny. "W-what the! Not again!" He shouted facepawing while he shook his head. You'd think living in the Everfree forest he'd have this down.
"Come on now Shifter! You’re a changeling! You should be able to do this!" Shifter whaled as his bunny paws pounded the tree branch he was on, a loud hiss is then heard from below the tree top.
"HIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSS!" A large snake is seen slithering up the tree.
"Oops!" Shifter whispered as he covered his mouth. He looked down to see the large snake on the ground, he then began to sweat. "I’ve Gotta change to something else!" At that time the snake began quickly slithering up the tree as it continued to hiss.
"HIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSS!" The large snake gets closer to Shifter. Shifter then changed back to normal and began to fly away, flying high above the Everfree forest.
"That was close." He said wiping the sweat from his forehead. Looking around he realized he was too high in the air, high enough to be spotted! "Darn it! I flew up too high!" He shouted. During this realization, he heard noise from behind him; he then involuntarily changed to a butterfly. "Really..... I couldn't think of anything else, oh well might as well take this chance to feed.” He said in a squeaky voice as he flew towards Ponyville. As he continued to fly Ponyville he realized the sound he heard was the sound of a fear fart, from him. "Darn that's twice now!" He said disappointingly. Shifter, a changeling that sucks at changing, this should end well.
As he flew over ponyville he surveyed the area below for potential love to feed on. “Let’s see now, old ponies, neh. They’re always sad. Ooh! See two ponies together!” Shifter shouted still in a squeaky voice, pointing downward with one wing. “Dive! Dive!” He exclaimed as he dive bombed the two ponies. He then quickly halted himself and began to gently and gracefully land on one of the ponies.
“Oh look! It’s a cute little butterfly!” said a purple mare with a dark red mane.
“Ooh, it landed on your mane Berry!” gently said a light brown stallion with a light brown mane. Shifter was on the top of Berry’s mane, feeding on the love from her and her friend.
“Mmmmmmmm! This is delicious!” Shifter thought to himself. Soon after, he had been full on love for the time being.
“Look Caramel, it’s flying away.” Berry said in a sad voice.
“I know, but it’s got to be free.” Caramel said as he pointed to Shifter flying away.
“Awwwww, such a good breakfast.” He said as he flew back to the Everfree. As he flies away he hears a sound from below him. “GRUMBLELELEL!” It's the sound his stomach makes as he continues flying. “What! I’m hungry again!” Shifter said in surprise. Just then, he felt a tingle down his butterfly wings and they changed into changeling wings. “Wha! Oh no! Not again!” he shouted in fear as he began to panic. Shifter looked around panickly, and then his head changed back to normal. “Ahh! No! No! No!” he shouts as his body changes back to normal. “Oh no! Does being in another form, take up that much energy!?” shifter says to himself as he turns fully back to normal. “Okay! Code F! Code F!” he thought to himself.
Seconds later he quickly closes his wings together, hitting each side of his body. He then dropped straight down and cratered the ground; a semi-large cloud of smoke clouded the area along with a loud thud! Thanks to his hard changeling exterior him from being to hurt. All the nearby ponies covered their eyes from the dust and smoke. “Ok, next part.” Shifter said as he reopened his wings. He flew off under the cover the smoke to escape. ”Ha! Loser ponies!” he said turning his back around and sticking his tongue out. Then while in the smoke he bumps into a pegasus
“Ow! What was that!” said the pegasus as the smoke still blocked its appearance. As the smoke began to clear the pegasus thought it saw it saw something, but then, Shifter flew away before it could see him. “For a second there, I thought that was… a changeling?” the pegasus thought. Shifter managed to escape, but barely. He got just ahead of the entrance to the Everfree forest. Tired and weak he then collapsed to the ground, and passed out. Moments later, he awoke. “What? Oh no!” he said as he hastily awoke. Shifter looked to his left and right and saw nothing but forest. “Few, I’m safe.” He says breathing a sigh of relief. He tried to stand, but fell back over. “Oof! That…. hurts…..darn… I’m too weak to get up.” he said as he struggled to stand.
“Gasp!” Shifter hears from behind him.
“Uh-oh.” said Shifter as he looked back to see a pink maned yellow pony looking at him in shock. “Got.. to.. fly!” he said with weakness in his voice, as he struggled to fly, but failed. He continued to try to fly, but all he did was have his wings lift the center of his body off the ground.
“Y-you’re a-a a-“the pegasus began as she also stuttered..
“D-darn.” said Shifter in a weak voice.
“Adorable!” said the pegasus as she began to fly over to him.
“What!” Shifter barely exclaimed, eyes wide open in disbelief. The pegasus landed next to him and noticed the small wounds he sustained from code F.
“Oh you poor thing. You must be the changeling I’ve heard about.” She says with a sympathetic look on her face.
“What do…. You mean, heard about?” Shifter barely was able to ask as he leaned up to look closer at her face. He noticed it was the same pegasus he bumped into moments before. “Y-you’re the pony that I bumped into aren't you?” he asked.
“What would make you say that?” she asked as she inspected his injuries.
“There’s a new looking bump on your head, that’s shaped like my own.” he explained to the pony. She then stopped checking his wounds and touch the bump on heard, cringing as it still hurt. She looked back at him and smiled.
“I knew it was you who bumped into me and caused the ponies in town to panic!” She shouted as she slightly jumped in the air and hovered there for a moment. “I was hoping it was you so I could find you and-“
“Wait, so you mean ponies knew I was here?” shifter interrupted. “So was has nopony come to try to kick me out.” He asked her.
“Well at first I was scared to here that a changeling might be in the Everfree.” She began to say. It was at this point shifter passed out from hunger and exhaustion. “Oh no! Is it your wounds? What’s wrong?!” said the pegasus as she began to panic. “I’ll just have to bring him home with me.” the pony said with sternness in her voice. She was nervous, picking up a potentially dangerous creature, but she grabbed his waist, and put him over her shoulder. “Wow, he’s heavier than he looks.” She’s says as she flies them both back to her cottage.
About an hour later Shifter wakes up on the ponies couch.”Wha, where am I.” he said looking around seeing many birdhouses, mouse holes, and even an odd lamp. Shifter soon realizes he’s in a ponies home and panics. ”Oh this is bad! This is so bad and-“before he could finish a sharp pain struck his hind legs. “Ugh! My legs, Code F hurt more than I thought.” he says as he grabbed his leg to notice a bandage on it. “Huh?” Shifter hoarsely said in confusion.
“Good! You’re awake, that’s a relief.” she said flying back into the room from upstairs. “I know changelings feed on love, but I’m not sure how to get you some.” she said with a cute sad face, looking at shifter.
“D-don’t be sad, all I need is to feel genuine love.” he quickly said. Please don’t look sad um, uh. What’s your name?” he asked hoping to get a true answer.
“Well… since you will be staying here, I guess so. My name is Fluttershy” she said turning her head to the side and looking down at the floor.
“Okay Flut…ter…shy. My name is Shifter.” He replied still not liking this situation, but still not wanting her sad. “Thanks, now I’m not as hungry anymore.” he continued as he began to sit up from the couch.
“Oh, what do you mean?” Fluttershy asked.
“Changelings feed on all good aspects of ponies, love is just the most filling. Something like you honestly telling me your name was a great example of a quick meal.” he said as he started to sit up.
“Okay, I’m glad I was able to help you.” she said with a smile on her face.
“Thanks for the snack Fluttershy, but I need to leave before I’m discovered, by somepony else.” he said as he slowly began to fly.
“W-wait, you can’t go yet! You’re still too weak!” pleaded Fluttershy as shifter flies past her. After that, Shifter falls to the ground and goes unconscious again. “Oh no! Shifter!” Fluttershy Said as she watched his decent. “I need help, but from who?” she wondered as she saw angel hop outside. “Angel please come back inside! Wait!” She asked Angel. She followed him out the door and went to get him, but Fluttershy forgot her daily apple delivery from Applejack. This can only end well.
Angel continued to run, he soon ran past the bridge with Fluttershy still behind. “Angel please, tell me what’s wrong!” she exclaimed as she continued to chase him. Eventually Angel led Fluttershy all the way to the park; meanwhile Applejack is on her way to deliver the apples to Fluttershy.
“We’re apples forever! Apples together! We’re family but so much mooooooore!” Applejack sang as she pulled a large cart of apples across the bridge to Fluttershy’s cottage. She knocks on the door three times and waits for Fluttershy. When she knocked on the door shifter started to wake up.
“Ugh, what… happened?” he said slowly standing up.
“Fluttershy I’m here with ya apples.” Applejack said outside the door.
“Oh no! That must be one of her friends!” Shifter thought to himself as he stood up all the way. “Where did she even go?” he wondered. Applejack knocked on the door three more times.
“Fluttershy, are ya here?” she said still waiting at the door wondering why there was no response. Shifter began to worry, as Applejack began to get more confused.
“If I stay quiet, she might think Flut..tershy isn’t here, and come back later.” he thought as stood in the middle of the room.
“I guess she ain’t here.” said Applejack. She then began to walk away, as she did Shifter breathed a large sigh of relief, and then he came upon a realization.
“Wait a sec? This is a great chance to for me eat!” he thought as facehoofed. He began to try to change, but him still being hungry causes a problem. “If there ever was a time for me to change right it would be now!” Shifter said as he the green flames slowly began to engulf his hooves. He struggled to force himself to look like Fluttershy. His hooves changed to Fluttershy’s, the flames began to cover his legs and lower body. Shifter continued to strain as his body changed to hers. Eventually he managed a full transformation into Fluttershy.
After the successful change; he quickly ran to the door. He opened the door all the way as he called out to Applejack. “Wait! I’m here!” he said in Fluttershy’s voice.
“Oh ya are here.” she said turning around and looking at Shiftershy.
“Sorry I was, um.” he tried to quickly come up with an excuse. “Upstairs! I was upstairs.
“Oh, so what were ya doin’ up there.” she asked as she turned back around and began to walk up to Shiftershy.
“I was, cleaning my mane!” he said stroking his false mane. He began to sweat as he began to get tired from this change while in such a weak state.
“Uh, Fluttershy, why ya sweatin’ so much?” Applejack asked.
“Sweating? Oh right! Sweating, it’s ah, hot inside.” Shiftershy said wiping the sweat from his forehead. He slowly began to get weaker, but hid it from Applejack very well, then his tail started to change back. “Oh no!” He thought. “My tail! I’ve got to hurry and get some love!” He thought to himself as he tried to keep a happy smile. “We’re friends right?” Shiftershy asked as he moved his small tail directly behind him as it slowly began to change back.
“A course we’re friends Fluttershy! We’ll always be friends!” she said coming over and hugging Shiftershy. This display of affection filled up Shifter enough that he could turn his tail back to Fluttershy’s.
“Phew! That was close.” he thought to himself. The hug was then released and both Applejack and Shiftershy smiled.
“Thank you uh….uhm, hmm.” he said as he realized he had no idea what her name was. He began to freak out internally as his cover might be blown!
“Applejack?” she said in a confused manor.
“Yes! Applejack!” he quickly replied. Applejack looked at him suspiciously, while he tried to put on a convincing smile.
“Okay then, I best be goin’ now, here are ya apples, Fluttershy.” Applejack said still with suspicion in her voice. Applejack then walked away, leaving the large cart of apples in front of Fluttershy’s cottage. “Catch ya later Fluttershy.” she said as she was walking over the bridge.
“Thanks Applejack, my good friend!” he said waving goodbye. Shiftershy then sighed a huge sigh of relief, as he was sure he fooled Applejack. He quickly got the apple cart and pulled it inside placing it in the middle of the room, blocking the window, he then quickly shut the door. As Shiftershy was inside the cottage with the apple cart; most of the birds and squirrels, and mice immediately flocked over to the cart. “Whoa! Slow down there!” he shouted as he made a large leap over the cart and animals. He landed back on the couch and sat there for a moment. “Phew! That was close, now I can change back.” he said. Afterwards his body was quickly covered in the green flames as he turned back to normal. “It’s nice to be back to my regular self.” he said sitting on the couch rubbing his face with his hoof. As the animals ate down the piles of apples in the apple cart, the cottage’s window starts to be unblocked. There he starts to see a hat, he immediately begins to panic. Shifter then tries to calm himself, and thinks of a plan.
“Somethin’ ain’t right here, she woulda never just put the cart there for’em to eat willy nilly.” she said scratching her head while looking through the window at the animals.
“Okay, I know changing takes a lot out of me, but I know I can do it!” he assures himself as he gets off the couch. He planned to change into a butterfly, leave the cottage and go back to the Everfree, to stay in his seclusion. Right then he put his plan into action. Shifter took a deep breath in and out as he began to make sure nothing could go wrong with this shift. A few moments later his change was successful!
“Yes! Two successful shifts in a row!” he said in a squeaky voice. Soon after he changed Applejack opens the door. “What! I can’t believe I forgot to lock the door!” he said in shock.
“Ah ha! I knew ya weren’t the real Fluttershy!” Applejack yells as she points to him in the air.
“Oh no! Oh no!” he shouted in his still squeaky voice. Just then in his shock he shifted into a giant manticore. All the animals in the room scattered as he fell to the ground crushing the cart below him.
“Whoa nelly!” Applejack screamed as she began to back up.
“Might as well take advantage of this.” he said getting ready to pounce. “You should go know.” he said in a calm, deep, and raspy voice.
“Wh-what’d ya d-do with Fluttershy!” she said stuttering with fear.
“Don’t worry, she’s fine, now go, or else you won’t be.” he threatened as he walked closer to her.
“Y-ya won’t get away with- “Applejack started to say.
“NOW!” Shifter interrupted screaming. He then jumped right in front of her and roared loudly right in her face.
“AHHHHHHHHH!!!!” she screamed as she ran out of the cottage as fast as she could. After that, he then turned back to normal and fell to the ground.
“Oof! Ow! Well at least that worked.” he said as he closed the door back, and remembered to lock it. “I didn’t forget this time!” he shouted while feeling very proud of himself. All of sudden he hears a knock on the door. “Oh Chrysalis! Applejacks back!” he shouted in fear. He then ran and hid underneath the couch.
“Um… can somepony… open the door, please” Fluttershy said outside the door.
“Oh that’s a relief.” he said as he came from under the couch and went to open the door. His second encounter with a pony was not so good, but I guess it could have been worse.
Shifter went and opened the door for Fluttershy and saw her standing there with a smille. He looked at her baffled at such a big smile on her face. As she continued to smile Shifter peeked his head past the door, poking out through it. He is shocked to see not one, but two Fluttershys! The second one peeking from behind the first.
"Um, Shifter this uh, pony here wants to talk to you." the second Fluttershy said while walking next to the first smiley one.
The first Fluttershy tackle hugs Shifter all the way inside the cottage. He hits the ground still caught in hugging embrace. The second Fluttershy quickly trots inside closing the door behind her.
"Yes! I'm not the only good one!" the first Fluttershy exclaimed in glee.
"Ugh! Okay, first, I don't know you! second, that hug hurt! And third, I'm anything but good, I"m just stuck here." he said trying to break free of the hug.
He struggled to get out the hug, trying to wriggle free. All the first Fluttershy did in response was just hug harder, making shifter groan in annoyance.
"Oh yeah! I should probably go back to my previous form." the first Fluttershy said letting go of Shifter and getting back up.
This Fluttershy then stood still and a green fire began from her hooves all the way up to her mane. When the flames were gone a surprising thing was discovered. The first Fluttershy changed into Angel Bunny! Shifter looked at Angel in awe, he couldn't believe it.
"Wha! But! How! He! Gah! My Head!" Shifter shouted while flailing around in a great state of confusion.
"Why are you so confused, we're both changelings." Angel said in a calm pleasant voice.
"Because, not only did I not expect to see another changeling, but I can tell a changeling even when it's not itself!" he explained while still flailing his hooves in the air.
Looking at Fluttershy, Shifter continued with the confused look on his face.
"How long have you known about this!" he asked pointing at Angel.
"I just found out earlier that she was a changeling this whole time." Fluttershy said while rubbing Angel's head.
"Wait? SHE!? Yo-Your a girl!" he shouted looking over at Angel.
After this realization, Shifter blushed as he has never known a female changeling besides Chrysalis, and even then he was very shy. He then remembered the long hug he got from her and that he tried to get free, he then blushed even more. Angel then blushed as well, noticing the look on Shifter's face.
As they were awkwardly looking at each other, Fluttershy noticed the broken pieces of wood in the middle of the room.
"Um, what happened here?" she asked flying up surveying the room.
"Oh, yeah, about that, I may have to go back to the Everfree forest." he said looking at the ground and scratching his head.
Fluttershy looked at the pieces of wood, and flew down to get a better look. She noticed that the one of the pieces had an apple symbol. She then gasped as she remembered her delivery from Applejack had been earlier today.
"Oh no! Applejack! Did she see you!" she screamed in worry as all these horrible scenarios went through her head.
"Let me put it this way, she might come back with an angry mob." he said in a scared voice.
"Oh no! No! No! This is bad!" Flutteshy said worriedly flying around the room like a bee missing a wing.
As she crazily flew around the room Angel jumped up, and pulled her down to the ground. She pulled her face closer to Fluttershy's
"Flutters! Calm down!" she assured. "We can figure this out, don't worry." she continued in a calm voice.
"You're right Angel, thank you." Fluttershy said while taking deep breathes.
Fluttershy calmed down and began took think of what to do, the others soon also started to think of a plan. Then something ran by Shifter's mind, why was another Changeling in ponyville.
As the rest of them thought of a plan, Shifter pondered this topic. Wondering why another changeling is in Ponyville. Being confused about why she is living here as bunny, and caring about a pony. Ponies have always been either our enemies or our food source. So why would she voluntarily live and help this pony. He knew that Fluttershy was and all, and that saying no to her is near impossible, but still.
"Shifter have you come up with any ideas?" Fluttershy asked.
"Wha? Oh yeah! Uh, no? Nothin' yet." he responed with a delay.
They continued to think, but none of them had any ideas, or at least any good ones.
"How about, you say that It was disfigured raccoon!" Shifter suggested.
The other two looked at him in confusion. They knew that idea wasn't very well thought out, but they didn't want to call him out on it, though they probably should have, his next idea, wasn't too much better.
"Or how about I change into Flut-tershy,then she hides, while Angel and I convince them there's no changeling here!" he shouted as he thought this was a good plan.
Fluttershy and Angel looked at each other both confused with this idea.
"What, you guys don't like it?" he asked.
They looked at him, they took a deep breath, and simply said the truth.
"That, was the worst idea we've ever heard." They calmly said in unison.
"Oh." he said with his head down. "Well I guess I should think a little harder!" he shouted, raising his head up high.
"That's good to hear." Angel said in relief.
"By the way, what happened to the apples in the cart?" Fluttershy asked.
"Oh, all the animals ate them, I was able to use their love for the food as food." he said in glee.
"Well, at least you all were fed." Fluttershy said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
There calmness was cut short as they could hear the angry sounds of a semi-large mob coming towards the cottage. They were far enough away to be hard, but not seen.
"Oh no! I can hear the mob!" shifter said, panicking and flying around the room.
Fluttershy had only known that Angel was changeling after she had chased her to the park, where some odd things happened. Once they reached the park. Fluttershy had lost Angel there, she couldn't find her. She went around looking, but couldn't find her. Fluttershy then came across a small group of ponies looking at cute squirrel. This scene was not unusual, most ponies would love to look at squirrels. What was not expected to be seen was another Fluttershy also looking at the squirrel, but not saying how cute it was, but just standing there, with the other three ponies, making facial expressions as if she thought is was cute.
Fluttershy was in shock. There was a second Fluttershy, she knew what this meant, a changeling. She thought that Shifter had woken up and left and was impersonating her, to get love so he can leave, but she wondered, why wouldn't he be the squirrel. As the group of ponies watch and adored the squirrel as it twitched it's cheeks, she ducked in a nearby bush to avoid being seen.
"How did he get out, I thought he was too weak." she wondered while watching from the bush.
She didn't have to wait for too long for them to leave, the squirrel scurried away, and climbed up a tree. The small group dispersed as the squirrel vanished in the tree line. The only one left was the Flutterdouble. This was Fluttershy's chance to get some answers.
She jumped out of the bush, and began to slowly sneak towards the fake Fluttershy. She notices the fake just standing there, holding up its left hoof up to its fake Fluttershy face. A green flame begun to cove the hoof and slowly spread down the leg. As the flames got lower, changeling hooves would slowly show up. Soon after it started, the flame started to go back up her leg, it wasn't even half way down it. The hoof then turns back to Fluttershy's. A disappointed look is clearly visible on it's face.
"Why can't I do this right?" the fake said with it's head down.
Fluttershy continued to sneak closer, but the fake Fluttershy began to walk away. She noticed this, and began to sneak faster. The fake heard sound, the sound of birds above. It looked up, and saw the bird, and followed the bird with its eyes to a tree behind the fake. Right then, the fake noticed Fluttershy and gasped in shock. Fluttershy and the fake froze in shock of both of their reveals.
".............." Fluttershy was frozen with shock, and couldn't say a word. She stood there, wondering if the fake would say anything.
"................" the fake Fluttershy was also speechless due to the shock of having it's secret being seen.
The fake soon comes to its senses and starts to fly away. Fluttershy gasped as she saw the fake fly in the air at a fast speed. She wants some answers, so she flew up as fast as she could to try and catch the fake.
"Wait! Come back! I just want to know some things!" she yelled still trying to catch up to the fake.
The fake flew towards the Everfree Forest, with Fluttershy still trialing her. Fluttershy soon noticed where the fake was headed, and began to get nervous. Her flying speed started to slow as she got closer, while the fake's was still the same. She started to remember that this was where Shifter was living before she took him in, and was sure this was him.
"How did he wake up? He was too tired." she said still flying hesitantly towards the forest.
A thought ran through her head, as soon as it did her flying stopped. She gasped at something she had forgotten about that was important.
"I forgot I was looking for Angel Bunny!" she exclaimed loudly, holding her hooves to her mouth in worry.
At the moment she said "Angel Bunny" the fake stopped in it's tracks, and turned and look at Fluttershy with a concerned look on it's face. Fluttershy was confused, the fake had responded to "Angel Bunny". They both looked at each other. Fluttershy with a look of intrigue. The fake with a look of concern.
"Do you know where Angel is?" Fluttershy asked, with a look of wonder on her face, as connections in her mind started to form.
The fake stayed stationary in the air for a moment before saying something.
"Small, cute little rabbit."
"Yes." Fluttershy responded.
"Cute cotton ball tail."
"Yes!" Fluttershy exclaimed in excitement, as she flew closer to the fake.
"Never seen him." the fake said with a plain expression on it's face.
"Shoot, I was supposed to be looking for him, and now he might be gone." Fluttershy said bowing her head down. "If only I could find him, then I could give him a special salad I had made for him, it had everything he would want on it." She said looking up at the fake.
"Everything?" said the fake, as it's face began to light up.
"Yes everything, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, and a nice cherry to top it off." she described as the fake's mouth began to water.
"That sounds......good!" the fake said. "I think I may know where he is!" the fake exclaimed while pointing to an open grass area.
"Really? Thank you! Let's go!" Fluttershy said as they quickly flew towards the are he was pointing at.
As they flew, Fluttershy looked at the fake, and saw that the fake looked a little nervous. The fake then looked back at her, Fluttershy quickly turned her head back to the side. The fake noticed that, but thought nothing of it.
They landed in the empty grassland, there were no other ponies in sight. The fake walked up to Fluttershy, and exhaled, and a burst of green flames started to engulf the fake, from it's hooves to the top of it's head. When it was done, Angel stood in front of Fluttershy.
"Well, now you know, I'm a changeling. Now when am I getting that special meal!" Angel said in a high pitched, but semi-monotone voice.
Fluttershy gasped, Angel had been a girl this whole time.
"What!? Angel, you're a girl!?" she exclaimed in shock, looking down at Angel.
"Yeah, it's a long story why I changed into a boy." Angel said, waving her paws in the air. "But anyway, why are you not surprised I'm a changeling?" she asked with a confused look all over her face.
"Oh I am! It's just I've had you for so long, that don't really care." Fluttershy is a soft caring voice, while holding Angel.
"Re-really?" she said while in Fluttershy's hooves.
"Yes really." Fluttershy said now hugging Angel. "You being a changeling won't stop that, but the does bring up some questions." she continued.
"Like what?" Angel asked, as if she was ready to answer any questions.
"Not now though, I've got to get back and check on Shifter." Fluttershy said, as she began to hover in the air holding Angel.
"Right, the new guy. Yeah, he's going to need all the help he can get right now." Angel said as Fluttershy began to fly out of the grassland.
"Yeah, living in the Everfree Forest is hard. He needs us right now." Fluttershy said.
"That's not what I meant." Angel replied with seriousness in her voice.
Fluttershy looked at Angel in confusion as she continued to fly. Afterwards, they soon made it to Fluttershy's cottage. Once she landed, Angel changed into the Fluttershy.
"I don't think you need to be me." Fluttershy said looking at Angelshy. "You should just be yourself, or a bunny again." she continued.
"I know, but I don't want him to know just yet, we changelings can tell another changeling is around, but I'm different, I can block this magical signal, I just, uh, umm, have to be in a form I haven't been in a lot!" Angel said, thinking of something quick to say at the end.
"Um, okay." Fluttershy said in response.
