> Crest of Imagination > by Boyzilla > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1: Imagination gone wild > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crest of Imagination Chapter 1: Imagination gone wild It was evening, lunch had passed and a small group of children ran out to play. It was the middle of May, school had just ended recently and the four children were ecstatic to finally do something besides sit down and do school work for six to eight hours a day. The four children were two boys, and two girls. Each of varying ages, each with their own personal likes and dislikes, and of course, each with their own favorite television show. The latter was going to bite them in the butt later on. Daniel Marris, fourteen years old, was the oldest of the friend group. How he got tied in with children younger than himself was quite due to himself, he was a loner. Actually, he was in a way, anti-social. Nobody his age liked to really be with him, even if he's actually a nice guy, he took things a bit too seriously. What people didn't know, was the boy had quite a mind for imagining different possibilities. Daniel wore a pure white make-up, his skin was pale white, he wore tan pants and a white shirt with the letters 'D' and 'P' next to each other, brown eyes, with mop black hair. And he loved the Danny Phantom Series. Alyssa Jarnagin, eleven years old, was the second oldest of the friend group. She had a light tan skin color, blue eyes, and a short cut blond hairstyle. Wearing a purple shirt to tie in with her blue skirt. Alyssa always carried a toy season one white digivice, always. It was her birthday gift after all, and they only sold for so long in the United States. Alyssa was quite a shy girl, always wanting to obey the rules, and let everyone have their way. But when it came to people touching her little toy, she got vicious. Needless to say, she really liked Digimon. Madison Barbs, nine years old, was the third oldest of the friend group. Pigmented in a dark brown skin color, having brown eyes, and a curly long black hairstyle and a bubbly excited personality. She wore a sleeveless rose red shirt, blue jeans, and wore a brown leather belt. Tied to said belt she carried a plastic pokeball, with a small figurine charmander within. She adored Pokémon, her first Gameboy game was Pokémon, her first shirt based off Pokémon, her first.... Yeah, picture gotten. Pokémon fan. Ryan Chukareth, eight years old, was the youngest of the group. Having a slight light red tone to his skin, a messy brown hairstyle, and a proud but generous attitude. Wore a tan shirt with a image of three apples in the middle, and also dark brown pants to match it. He enjoyed, or should I say, fell in love with My Little Pony. Actually, more correctly to say that he wanted to explore the world of My Little Pony, with all his heart he wished he could. He would always dream of walking around Equestria with his friends behind him. The little eight year old was a brony. As the group of children continued to play around and chat happily, they failed to notice their environment shift dramatically. As in, the sky seemed to suddenly have loads of clouds, loads of dark ominous clouds that spell certain disaster and something sinister along those lines. A small comet-like object started hurling down toward them. The children at this time finally noticed how everything seemed different. "Uh, I think we should move." Daniel stated as he pointed up into the sky, "Incoming!" Alyssa, in an act of selflessness, put her body over Ryan to shield him from the incoming disaster. Daniel doing the same over Madison, who felt like it was his responsibility as the oldest to defend them. The comet-like object suddenly broke up into four pieces with a suddenly loud explosion, crash landing into the ground in front of all four children. The dust rising into the air as two of the smallest children screamed for the worst. The dusty air began to settled down, and the four children opened their eyes. Unharmed in any way. "Is everyone alright?" Daniel said in concern. "I'm okay." Ryan exclaimed as Alyssa got off of him. "Me too, thanks Daniel!" Madison shouted, "What you think it was? Was it a meteor?" She questioned in curiosity. "Don't know." Daniel replied, "But it's over now-" Four bright lights began to rise from each hole, each having the appearance of a certain tag familiar to Alyssa. "But, how, Digimon isn't real!" Alyssa exclaimed, "Is it?" She said, thinking about Digimon and her dreams about being a digidestined. The four tags suddenly zipped over to each of the children's necks, each ot them gasping in surprise and shock as the tags formed into reality, tied around their necks. Each tag having one fourth of a piece which made all together, a crest. Before any of them could question or comment on the situation, all four tags lit up with a bright white light, blinding them all as they felt their bodies being lifted into the air, and thrown into what will be, their greatest adventure. Daniel Marris felt his whole body erupt in great pain, he opened his mouth and screamed, but nothing came out. Alyssa Jarnagin felt her heart beating wildly, and the strange feeling of scales touching her hands, in fear she tried to scream, but nothing came out. Madison felt the hot touch of flame at the edge of her hands, she believe that she going to burn very badly, and it was going to hurt, she screamed as she awaited death, but nothing came out. Ryan felt the center of his body feel strange, and with a sudden burst it started hurting, he screamed in pain, but no noise was to be heard. A painful entry into another world indeed. When Daniel Marris first woke up, he clutched his head in pain. He wobbly stood up, and opened his eyes to see that he was no longer in the playground, or the city in that matter. He appeared to be in some sort of open prairie, a few trees scattered about and a calm stream just a few feet away. Daniel walked over to the stream, and suddenly took notice that he was strangely wearing white gloves, in fact, he had long black sleeves. He blinked, and brought some water to his face to wash away his, most likely, hallucination. It didn't work. Daniel realized, what can't possibly his reflection, that a image staring back at him in the water. When he blinked, it blinked, when he moved his hand, it did. The illusion was him, yet it can't possibly him. First off, he didn't have snow white hair, glowing green eyes, and a small white glow around his body, not to mention wearing a nearly exactly replica of Danny Phantom's outfit. When he looked at himself, it was all the same as the reflection, except he noticed a tag hanging around his neck. "Holy..." Daniel said in shock, "I'm Danny Phantom! Kinda..." He trailed off, before he remembered what happened previously and looked around in worry. "Hello! Where are you guys! Are you alright!" He said, running up a hill, then spotting the rest of his friends on the ground unconscious With a small red animal with bat wings for ears, and a charmander next to both Alyssa and Madison. He ran up to them, not sure if the red animal and charmander were dangerous to them. When he reached them, the red animal started to speak. "Hiya!" "Ahhh!" Daniel screamed in shock, falling on his rump. "Did I scare you?" the red animal giggled, "Sorry about that, I'm just waiting for Alyssa to wake up!" "Char, charmander!" the Pokémon spoke up in agreement, standing near Madison. "W-what are you?" Daniel asked as he sat down crisscross, taking a few breaths to calm down. 'They're friendly, they're friendly.' He reassured himself. "I'm Gigimon!" Gigimon introduced itself, "I'm Alyssa's digimon partner!" "You got to be kidding me..." Daniel said. "Nope! I'm serious!" Gigimon said happily. Alyssa and Madison both began to stir, however Ryan appeared to be still knocked out. The moment they awoke, they screamed a bit in both shock and fear. Before calming down and noticing how its their fan girl dreams. "A digimon? What's your name? Are you my digimon? Please be my digimon!" Alyssa said with hope. Gigimon turned to her, a happy grin on its face, "Of course I'm your digimon, I'm Gigimon, partner!" "A Pokémon! A charmander!" Madison cheered as she hugged said Pokémon, it's flame out of reach for her protection. Madison then had her eyes widen in realization as he reached for the pokeball on her belt. "Char, char!" it yelled in joy. Daniel was too busy trying to have all this information file correctly in his brain as Madison exclaimed loudly. "My pokeball is real! It's not a toy, but a real thing!" She squealed, shrinking and expanding the pokeball again and again. Before she pointed it at charmander and said, "Return charmander!" A red beam shot out of pokeball and impacted on charmander, causing it to turn into red energy and return into the capsule device. Daniel had nearly fallen over in shock on how close the beam was too him. "Warn me when you do that Madison." Daniel said to her. Madison gave him a sheepish grin, "Sorry Daniel! I'll be sure to tell you when I do it!" Daniel and Madison turned to Alyssa to see how she was interacting with her digimon partner. She was hugging the digital being like a Christmas present. "We're going to be the best of friends, Gigimon! I'll be the best partner ever for you!" Alyssa said meaningfully. "That's great, can you stop squeezing me now?" Gigimon begged. At that moment, Ryan woke up! And the first thing he saw was a glowing Daniel. Ryan spoke about it, "Daniel your glowing! And wearing a superhero costume!" That got everyone else's attention, Madison commented, "Is that the Danny Phantom costume from the show you like?" Daniel nodded, "Not sure if I got the powers, but I got the looks too- Ahh! I'm falling, I'm falling through the ground!" He exclaimed in fear as his bottom half had become intangible unwillingly and he started sinking. His friends came to his rescue as they grasped his arms, Gigimon landing on the ground as his partner helped him. Lifting him back to standing position and his legs becoming tangible again. Daniel breathed a sigh of relief. "Thanks," He said, "How I do turn back then..." Daniel thought, thinking about his human self. He felt a decrease of power like never before as a ring of white appeared around his mid waist and split in two, one going up, another going down. Detransforming him back to his original human state. "Oh, like that." Daniel commented. "That was so cool." Ryan said in awe. "I know right! Soon I'll be saying catch phases and puns." Daniel joked, "Anyhow, I want to know something. What are these tags?" He questioned. Alyssa replied kindly, "Tags and crests, or crest. I guess." She said looking at her tag, with a fourth of the piece in it. "It's suppose to make our digimon evolve further, but only I got a digimon." Alyssa stated, looking down at Gigimon and picking him up. Gigimon jumped off her hands and onto her hair, lying on her head. "It's the crest of Imagination, you all are its chosen ones!" He stated proudly. Alyssa squealed, but Ryan was more distracted by something else. "Uh, guys! Look over there!" Ryan exclaimed as he pointed toward a direction. "What is it Ryan?" Madison questioned as she and the others looked to where Ryan was pointing at. In the distance, there was a town, said town was on fire. Also the town looked familiar to Ryan, very familiar, despite a very differences. "It's Ponyville!" Ryan shouted as he started running toward it, "We got to help!" "Onwards partner!" Gigimon cheered on, "Time to save people!" Alyssa smiled, "Okay, let's go." She said, gripping her now real digivice. Ryan and Madison ran forward, Alyssa following afterward. Leaving Daniel behind in his lonesome. "Hey, wait up! I'm responsible for you all!" Daniel said as he started giving chase. Twilight Sparkle, holder of the Element of magic, rushed toward crowd of panicking ponies. The purple unicorn looked around, parts of the town was on fire, all because of a strange monster. This monster flew overhead, and at first it looked like some sort of dragon, but immediately ruled out of favor when she saw feathers of some sort. This bird creature blew flame out of its mouth like a dragon, and sent the wooden houses aflame. "Everypony listen to me! We have to get rid of those flames! Pegasi collect clouds and make them rain, Earth ponies and Unicorns collect buckets of water and drench the fires out! Go, go, go!" Twilight took control as the ponies around her scrambled to do what she ordered. Rainbow Dash flew over head to a group of Pegasus, "You heard what she said! Clouds on the double!" She exclaimed as she and the pegasi flew into the sky above and collected batches of rain clouds. Pushing them down to Equestria, covering over the roaring fires below. "Make it rain!" Rainbow shouted as she bounced on her clouds. The rain clouds started pouring down water in mass, lowering down the fires to a more manageable level in which the Earth ponies and Unicorns managed to drench them down to only smoke. Applejack threw her bucket full of water on the late living flame, before dropping it, "Good job everypony!" She shouted, cheers erupting from the success of the group effort. Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy met in a group meeting only a few minutes later. Twilight started the conversation, "Okay, did anypony get a clear view of that fire bird creature?" "I did... Mostly... " Fluttershy answered. "I did too! It had lots of red flame for hair!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, hopping up and down. "It had yellow feathers, and a very mean looking red beak." Fluttershy commented. Applejack spoke up, "Something fishy is going on here." Twilight agreed, "I agree, something has been up since that magical disturbance." Her friends looked to her in confusion, "Magical disturbance?" They all questioned. Twilight nodded, "An hour or two before the fire incident, I sensed a great magical disturbance echo across all of Equestria-" Rainbow Dash interrupted, "You can sense a disturbance throughout all of Equestria?!" "Well of course she can," Rarity said, "She is the most talented unicorn in Equestria, and a holder of the Element of Magic!" Twilight flushed, "Anyway, I sensed many pockets of magic echo from all over Equestria before closing as abruptly as they appeared. After that, the fire bird appeared and attacked Ponyville. I don't really have enough information to say what exactly we're dealing with. I need more research." She finished her explanation. "Um, Twilight..." Fluttershy spoke up. Pinkie Pie was ecstatic, "Woohoo! Look! New ponies are in Ponyville! Well they aren't really ponies, but still! Hello! Welcome! Sorry about the mess!" She said, waving her hoof. Twilight looked toward whatever direction everypony else was looking at, "What are you girls talking about- Oh dear, this may be more serious than I thought." A small human child, with a light red skin tone and messy brown hair, had a look of awe and excitement on his face. "Oh my goodness it's you! Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! It's Twilight and her friends!" the boy squeled in excitement as he bounced around with Pinkie Pie. "Yeah, it's us! How you doing!" Pinkie Pie cheered as she bounced around with the small boy. Another human child followed, a little older, female, and dark brown skin, looking them with a excited expression as well, "This day is awesome! Wow!" She said. Two more humans, older, boy and girl with more white toned skin approached them in both protective stances and worried expressions, before the oldest female breathed a sigh of relief at identifying them. Twilight first replied completely worried, "No, no, no, no! You four shouldn't be here! Tell me there aren't more of you! Tell me!" The oldest boy answered her, "There aren't any more of us?" He said in confusion. "What's going on Twilight, what are these creatures?" Applejack replied. "They're humans that's what!" Rainbow Dash surprisingly answered, "I read about them when they were mentioned in the Daring Doo books," She said with a sheepish grin. "First time for everything." Rarity commented, "And I have to say, the fabric of which those clothes were designed in stunning. But can't say much for taste." Rarity both complimented and insulted. The oldest girl, with short blonde hair, spoke in reply, "Thanks? I guess?" "I'm Daniel," The oldest introduced, "These are my friends, Alyssa, Madison, and finally Ryan." He said, identifying each human child with a point of his finger. Alyssa pointed to a red hat on her head, "And this is Gigimon, my digimon partner." "Sup!" Gigimon exclaimed, revealing it was actually a living creature. "How did you get here?" Twilight worriedly asked. "Why are you so upset?" Fluttershy questioned. "Because humans shouldn't be in our world, they should be in there own. Something bad must have happened to the Realm Balance!" "Realm Balance?" Everyone and Everypony questioned in confusion. Pinkie Pie suddenly popped besides Twilight, "Might want to take this a bit slow, but first! We'll have a transition too your treehouse!" Alyssa had a confused expression on her face, so far everything was going just dandy. Not only had she gotten a digimon partner, became a digidestined, and was a chosen one for her very own crest. Well, almost her very own, her friends were chosen too. But that's okay! She wouldn't have it any other way. But now Twilight Sparkle, The Twilight Sparkle from that My Little Pony show Ryan loved so much, was panicking because they were even here in the first place. Something about Realm Balance, bad stuff, and more panicking. It worried Alyssa a little, but she has Gigimon, and Gigimon will protect her from anything! Cause that what digimon do, they protect their partners as the partners give them super powers to digivolve! 'Only... I don't know how to have Gigimon digivolve besides being in danger...' She realized in her thoughts. Okay, so, there was some reason to panic. Alyssa, her friends, partner, and Twilight's friends, watched in curiosity as the purple unicorn pulled out a large scroll. Which she unfolded on a table to reveal a large picture, and some strange unintelligible writing. "This is the Realm Balance," Twilight began, "There is the Magic realm, our realm." She said pointing a hoof at all her pony friends, "And then there are other realms, like the human realm where Daniel and his friends came from. But there is also the Ghost realm, where ghost of a unknown origin live, Aura realm, where creatures harnessing the energy of aura live, and then the digital realm, where beings of code are said to roam." Twilight stated, looking at them all. Twilight's horn lit of with magic, and some glowing lines appeared around each realm, yet also interconnected with one another. "Each realm is connected, if something bad happens to one realm, it can affect all of them. Yet each realm has its own level of protection, preventing one realm and another from communicating with each other normally, as well as giving a level of resistance against minor realm changes. Meaning if a minor change, say a small island vanishing into the sea, happens. It will not affect the other realms." "Normally, only a very select few from each worlds have the power to even make a line of communication and information, let alone transportation of four living beings!" Twilight exclaimed. Everyone nodded to show they were listening. "So," Daniel started to say, "What does the problem mean if we're in your realm instead?" "It means something is very wrong!" Twilight shouted as if they would know. Madison and Ryan both said, "Like what?" She was speechless, her mouth sputtering over gibberish words before calming down and saying, "I... Don't know..." Rarity came and comforted Twilight, "Twilight, you should keep calm. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to think over this and come with a solution." Applejack agreed, "Yeah sugercube, besides, these humans need a place to stay. I got a empty barn they can stay in. As long as they don't mind all the hay." Alyssa smiled, "We don't, thank you." "Yeah, thanks farm pony!" Gigimon thanked as well. "Aw shucks, it was nothing." Applejack stated, "Now come with me, and we'll get you all set up in the barn at my farm. Until this all blows over at least." Twilight whispered something Alyssa barely caught, "If it all blows over..." > Chapter 2: Beware! Problems! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crest of Imagination Chapter 2: Beware! Problems! Madison Barbs, our African-American nine year old Pokémon trainer, decided that maybe bringing out a fire Pokémon with a live flame at the tip of its tail isn't exactly the greatest or smartest thing to do within a flammable barn house. Not that she tried or anything and her friends had scrambled to put out the flame on the hay before it spread across the rest of the building... Then she promptly returned her charmander before more incidents could be caused. Ahem, no, that didn't happen at all... Then there was the issue that Daniel, as cool as it was, kept unwillingly turning both intangible and invisible at the most random times. Sometimes it was both at the same time! Let's just say, she felt a little sorry for Daniel, must be scary nearly sinking fully into the ground without anyone seeing you. And he wasn't even in his Ghost form to begin with! But hey, when he was in his Ghost Form, he got super strength! He was lifting up piles of hays like they were nothing! Of course he told them to keep it a secret from the ponies, but still, he's like a super hero! Wait, hide his identity? He is a super hero! Now he just needs to fly, shoot laser beams, and have a breath attack! Then he'll be, Super Daniel! "And I can be his sidekick Pokémon trainer!" Madison giggled, "I wonder who the bad guys would be? Mmh... Well, he's a ghost... So Ghost Pokémon would be the bad guys! Or is it he protects ghost and fights physic types?" She wondered out loud. "Beware! I am the Box ghost! Terror of all who fears cardboard evil!" A ghost, a fat one wearing warehouse worker clothes, appeared from underneath a few boxes full of hay in front of Madison. "Ah ha! I knew a bad guy would pop up sometime or later!" Madison cheered. The Box ghost shouted, "Beware! As I crush you with boxes full of grass material! Fear me!" "I don't think so Box ghost guy!" Madison shouted, happily playing along, or so she thought, "I will defeat you! With Charmander! Go!" She grasped the Pokeball on wrist and opened it up in front of her, a beam of white energy coming out and unto the ground before her. "Char! Charmander!" The fire Pokémon exclaimed as it finished materializing into the physical plane. "Taste my box-filled wrath!" The Box ghost exclaimed as the boxes full of hay levitated into the air due to his influence, before their contents were thrown out like cannon fire toward charmander. "Charmander, dodge!" Madison shouted, the lizard-like Pokémon obeying her commands and dodging the grassy material. "You cannot escape, for I am the Box ghost!" The Box ghost shouted, full of himself. "Wow, and I thought Ryan was full of himself!" Madison commented, "Charmander use flamethrower!" The fire Pokémon looked back to her in confusion. Madison gave a sheepish grin, "Sorry, guess you don't know that move yet... Okay, ember?" Charmander spun, the fire on the tip of his tail sending wild small flames toward the direction of the Box ghost, who dodged by lifting his lower half. The flames kept going before hitting a pile of hay, which went aflame. "Uh oh." Madison stated, "Put it out, put it out!" She started to panic. "Charmander, Charmander!" Her Pokémon started to panic alongside her. Suddenly the door to the barn opened to reveal Daniel Marris. "What's going on Madison, wait, is that the Box ghost?!" "Haha!" The Box ghost laughed, "My fame reaches all, truly you fear me!" Daniel had a deadpanned expression on his face, "Yep, that's the Box ghost alright... I'm going ghost!" Daniel had his fist clenched and stance widen as a white ring appeared around his midsection. The ring separated into two identical rings which both went up and down along his body. His clothes transforming into a black hazmat suit, and a white glow enveloping his form. Finally his eyes turned green and hair turned snow white as his transformation ended. "Okay, that was awesome." Daniel stated as he crossed his arms, glaring at the Box ghost. "Daniel, Daniel, the farm is going to on fire if we don't stop it in time!" Madison yelled in concern. Daniel looked toward her, then the charmander, "You used some sort of fire move didn't you?" Madison nodded, an embarrassed flush on her face. "Maybe..." "Nobody ignores the Box ghost! Beware!" The Box ghost reminded them of his presence as he sent the cardboard boxes around him, flying straight at them. Daniel Marris grabbed Madison''s shoulder and close his eyes, concentrating for that one feeling he gets when he turns... Intangible! The boxes pass right through both Daniel and Madison without harm. They turned back into tangibility as Daniel breathed a sigh of relief, "Phew," then turned into excitement, "I can't believe I manage to do that!" "Charmander, scratch attack!" Madison shouted her command. Charmander charged forward, and leapt up, aiming his claws at the Box ghost. But the box ghost turned intangible and laughed. "Nobody harms the Box ghost! I am invincible!" Madison frowned, "I guess even if he isn't a ghost Pokémon, normal type attacks don't work." Daniel ran up to the terror of cardboard boxes, "Hey Box ghost! Be invincible to this!" Then Daniel jumped and slammed a fist full of pain against the Box ghost's face. Sending said ghost flying out of the ranch. Daniel then landed, turned, and put out the growing flame by turning the hay pile intangible, stopping the fire's fuel source. "Let's go Madison!" Daniel shouted as both he and Madison, including her Pokémon, ran outside to battle the Box ghost. However, when they reached outside, the ghost that was full of himself to the bitter core that made him a ghost, was gone. "Where he go, Daniel?" The nine year old girl asked the older boy. Daniel looked around, "I don't know..." He suddenly reverted back to his human state, "What! I didn't mean to change back yet! Ugh, guess I still got controlling problems..." The halfa trailed off. Madison pointed her pokeball at Charmander, "Oh well, we will get him next time! Rest up Charmander, return!" She said as a red beam came forth from the pokeball and returned the Pokémon into energy before absorbing it back within. Madison tucked on Daniel's shirt to get his attention, "Hey Daniel, where is Alyssa and Ryan?" "Uhh..." Daniel trailed off, "We'll find them." He answered. Alyssa Jarnagin, Gigimon, and Ryan Chukareth walked along the pathways of the Apple Orchard, Ryan was quite joyful, to be exploring the world in which he always dreamed about. He hoped none of this was a dream, it felt too real to not be anyway. He plucked an apple from one of trees, and bit deeply into it, his taste buds exploding with flavor and juice. "Mmh, Alyssa you should try one of these!" Ryan exclaimed. "Oh, give me one! Give me one!" Gigimon said, bouncing up and down on his partner's head. He received one from Alyssa who plucked it from the tree and gave it to the in-training digimon. The red digital being ate the apple with a ravenous appetite. "I have a bad feeling... Maybe we should go back?' Alyssa suggested. Ryan waved her off through, "Nah! We're fine! It's Equestria! What's the worst that can happen?" Three... Two... One... Suddenly a burst of fog erupted forth from the ground, causing the two humans and one digimon to close their eyes as the fog rushed outward and created a field. A digital field, what else could it have been? It's not like football fields are created within seconds. Anyhow, when they reopened their eyes, they were inside a sphere of fog. Gigimon started growling, causing Alyssa to question, "What's wrong Gigimon?" Ryan pointed to a figure materializing in the midst of the fog, "Alyssa, look, something is there." Alyssa narrowed her eyes to see better, and spotted the green skin, green ragged clothes, and wooden club of a digimon she knew. "It's Goblimon, he's a rookie level digimon." Alyssa said, Gigimon jumping off of her head and landing in front of them both protectively, growling at the threat. "Dooh wahh!" The Goblimon exclaimed, beating his chest like some sort of crazed gorilla, well, if you look at him the right way... Gigimon charged forward, showing its teeth, "Hot Bite!" he exclaimed biting the Goblimon's legs with flaming teeth. No seriously, Gigimon's teeth were on fire! "Gahhh!" Goblimon groaned in pain as it swung its leg around, trying to get the in-training digimon off of itself. Ryan cheered Gigimon on, "You can do it Gigimon! Beat him up! Bite his legs, then his arms, then his ugly face too!" He shouted, punching the air in his excitement. "Gigimon can't handle Goblimon, he's a level above him!" Alyssa exclaimed in worry, clutching her digivice to her chest. True to Alyssa's word, Goblimon finally shook off the courageous Gigimon, and conjured a ball of fire in its hand. "Goblin Strike!" It yelled, throwing the ball of fire at the small digimon, which exploded and sent Gigimon skidding across the ground toward Alyssa and Ryan's location. "Gigimon!" They both exclaimed, Alyssa running up to her digimon in panic as she picked him up. "Gigimon, get up, please! I know you can digivolve, you got too!" She said, shaking her partner to awaken him. "I can beat him, no worries, be happy now." Gigimon said, as he stood back up. "Rawr!" Goblimon shouted as he charged toward Alyssa and her digimon partner. "Alyssa, watch out!" Ryan warned. Alyssa looked to the quickly approaching Goblimon with fear. And as he seemed just moments away, the digivice she carried suddenly began to glow a bright white light, a small barely visible line of text appearing on its screen. DIGIVOLUTION "Gigimon Digivolve to!" A bright rose red egg surrounded Gigimon as digital data came rushing into him. His partner's energy supplying him with the power of digivolution as began to change dramatically. The small red creature's legs extended greatly into muscular legs, feet, arms, and claws. His body growing massively in size, lines of black decorating his red form as it expanded. His tail grew twice, trice, and four times as large, and his head changed into the shape of a dinosaur's, wing ears increasing in size before the egg broke and revealed his new form. "Guilmon!" "Pyro Sphere! Rawr!" A red hot powerful ball of flame erupted forth from the newly evolved Guilmon's mouth. The sphere shot forward and impacted the center mass of the Goblimon, who never stood a chance against such a powerful attack. It screamed in pain, before bursting into data particles which dissipated into the air. The fog that made the digital barrier soon lifted after that, and all that remained were two human children, a rookie level digimon, and a clear sunny day on a Apple Orchard. "G-Gigimon?" Alyssa said in shock. Guilmon turned to her, a happy grin plastered on the now... Somewhat big... Dinosaur's face. "It's Guilmon now, and don't you forget it!" He said with joy. Alyssa tried to recall a Guilmon in her memory banks, but it's been so long since she's seen other seasons besides the first one. Which now shows on Nicktoons every now and then. But the name was familiar, oh well, her digimon had digivolved! "Wow your so big!" Alyssa commented, standing up, Guilmon being slightly taller than herself. "Thanks, but I'm hungry now!" Guilmon laughed, causing Alyssa to giggle. Ryan walked up to the large digimon, "I liked it when you were smaller, but you still look super cool! Like a T-rex!" "Rawr!" Guilmon jokingly roared, causing both himself and Ryan to laugh. Alyssa starting to laugh after she caught the contagious emotion. "Hey! Whoa! Daniel, look at that dinosaur!" the voice of Madison echoed over yonder. The laughing trio stopped laughing, and looked toward the direction of the incoming friends. Waving in greeting as both Daniel and Madison approached them, through cautious of Guilmon. Alyssa reassured them, "It's alright, this used to be Gigimon. He digivolved into Guilmon. Um, like how Pokémon evolve." Daniel and Madison released held breaths, it was just Alyssa's digimon partner, they knew he would not harm them, ever. "What in tarnation happened here!" The four friends, and digimon, turned their attention to Applejack. Who seemed speechless at the appearance of Guilmon. Alyssa quickly spoke, "It's alright! He's our friend!" Ryan added on, "Like Spike! Except he's a digimon, not a dragon." "And I guess he's staying with ya too?" Applejack questioned, giving a suspicious eye to Alyssa's partner. The four friends nodded, Daniel speaking up, "Twilight was right, something is wrong here. Madison and I encountered a ghost!" Guilmon spoke up, "And we just finished defeating a evil digimon!" "Fire birds, humans, ghost, and Digimon... This day is getting better and better ain't it?" Applejack said, placing a hoof against her forehead to ease her headache. "You don't know that half of it, Applejack." A strange royal-like voice spoke, everyone turning their attention to see a large white horse, with a horn and wings, alongside Twilight Sparkle and a dark purple version of the same horse. "Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna!" Ryan and Applejack exclaimed simultaneously. "I'm afraid you will all have to come with me into the Everfree Forest," Celestia said, turning her head toward Twilight, "Get your friends Twilight. Where we are going, they will want to learn about as well." "Yes Princess!" Twilight said, her horn lighting up with magic and she disappeared in a flash of purple light. Daniel only had one thing to say about this whole situation, "Joy..." "Remind me again, why exactly we're heading into a dark creepy evil looking forest?" Daniel questioned. Guilmon answered, "To find a dark creepy super evil bad guy hidden in a ruined castle of course!" "Oh come on Daniel, it's not so bad! Look at the pretty blue flowers over there!" Madison exclaimed, walking toward them. But Rainbow Dash flew right in front of her, "Don't touch those! Poison joke, bad stuff!" "Eek, if it has the word poison, of course it's bad!" Madison commented, stepping away from the flowers. Ryan looked in fascination at everything, "Look, it's the mountain where- Oh look the scary trees! And look, that's the bridge, or what's left of it, that leads to the castle!" Ryan excitedly said. The dark foreboding ominous, and whatever other word you can use to describe the Everfree forest, pretty much described the forest. The ruined wooden bridge, was then telekinetically lifted together by both Celestia and Luna, making a path to walk on for those who couldn't fly. Once over the bridge, the rest flew across and landed besides them. As they approached and entered the ruins that used to be the Castle of Two Sisters, Princess Celestia started to speak. "Long ago, My sister and I used to communicate many times with beings from other realms. That was until what the humans at the time called, Witch Hunts. During that time, the entire magical community within the human realm disappeared over the course of a few decades, it was enough to cause a disruptance. Later on, only a hundred or so years ago, the Digital realm came into being. It was the closest realm ever tied to the Human realm since the time of magic on your realm." Celestia said, as they approached a vast wall. Picturing the layout of the Realm Balance. "What's that got to do with us?" Alyssa questioned, Guilmon standing next to her. "Those tags around you necks, the pieces of a crest within each one. They are the manifestation of all of your realm's magic made into human virtues. There are other crests, but Imagination is unique in its own right." The human children's eyes opened wide, Madison asked, "How do you know its the Crest of Imagination?" "She's right Princess, how do you know about this crest?" Twilight Sparkle asked with a curious expression on her face. "Because, Me and two others helped the last wizard create them. There names were Clockwork, Mew, and the wizard was Gennai." Pinkie Pie popped out of nowhere, "Don't tell me every chapter ends with a explanation and cliff-hanger!" > Chapter 3: Consequences of Breaches > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crest of Imagination Chapter 3: Consequences of Breaches Within a set of ruins called the Castle of Two Sisters, a group of both ponies, humans, and digimon alike stood there with their mouths agape. Shocked beyond belief that the Princess of Equestria not only made contact with the other realms within the Realm Balance, but also created a powerful item called the Crest of Imagination with famous characters of those other realms. Talk about shocker, right? "Whoa, whoa, hold on a second." Daniel spoke up, "You've met with Clockwork-" "And Mew!" Madison interrupted. "And also Gennai." Alyssa added on, Guilmon nodding in agreement. Daniel continued, "And forged a powerful item that can grant its chosen ones dreams and imaginations into reality? Or at least, a close representation of reality?" Daniel said, his eyes wide. "Yes." Celestia answered, "However it was never meant to be with its chosen ones, in fact, Gennai sealed it away within the Digital World to keep it safe and hidden. If you four have the Crest of Imagination, then something had gone horribly wrong." Alyssa sighed, "Great, evil bad guy on the loose." Ryan had a more positive attitude, "Cool, now we can all be super heroes and save everyone!" He exclaimed, giddy with excitement. Madison poked Daniel, and whispered, "Daniel, your arm is invisible." Daniel hid his invisible arm behind him, "Thanks for the warning." he whispered back, waiting for it to change back to its natural state. Luna turned to the four children, "What's strange is that the Crest of Imagination seems to selected four chosen ones. In which each of you also seem to represent a realm. From the looks of things, Alyssa is a Digital representative, Madison is the Aura, and Ryan is Magic." "Wait, what you say again?" Ryan questioned. "But Ryan hasn't done anything magical." Alyssa said. Twilight nodded, "While that is true, I sense magic within Ryan. And it's very strange, it seems to shift between the magical aura of the three different types of Ponies. At times, Ryan has Unicorn magic, then Pegasus, and suddenly Earth Pony." She explained. "I have pony magic? Awesome!" Ryan exclaimed. "Can't wait to try it out... Once I figure out how to use it." he grinned, pacing in a single place while containing his joy. Rainbow Dash landed besides Ryan, "Hey, if you can grow wings with that Pegasus magic, I'll teach you how to fly. Then we can race!" Pinkie Pie jumped around Ryan and Rainbow Dash, "Ooo, ooo, I can teach you how to use your super mega awesome incredible earth pony skills! Party cannon not included!" "Wait!" Daniel shouted, "There is something I want to know." He said, his hand now visible once more. "What is it?" Celestia asked. "Before we met you, in Applejack's farm, we were attacked. Hold on let me finish!" Daniel yelled quickly to avoid panic, "Madison and I were attacked by a weak ghost, while Ryan and Alyssa were caught in a... What was that fog barrier?" "A Digital field." Guilmon answered him, "A Digital field appears when data is merging into a organic realm." Guilmon finished. "Okay, thanks Guilmon." Daniel Marris thanked, "Were caught in a Digital field, and attacked by a digimon. They fought it off, in which Gigimon digivolved to Guilmon to defeat it." The Princesses and Twilight's faces went into that of 'Oh no this is bad news' mode. Twilight was the first to reply, "But- but, there hasn't been a breach accident in hundreds of years! That's what you told me, right Princess?" Twilight said, looking toward Celestia for an answer. "That is correct," Celestia replied, "For a breach to happen means that the Realm Balance has been disturbed, and for multiple Breaches from different realms means it is far worse than we originally thought. Twilight, I believe that the fire bird you described earlier was a Aura creature." Madison stopped her there, "I think the correct word for that now Princess, is Pokémon. Cause Aura creature sounds very evil-like. And Pokémon aren't evil, they just want to be our friends! Like the Digimon!" Guilmon nodded, but answered, "There are some bad digimon out there through, but they are usually to themselves and are beaten by the good ones." Applejack finally decided to comment, "With all these ponies, and people, here. It's hard to understand everything going on! Princesses, please, tell us what is happening." Celestia nodded, "Very well, I shall shorten it for time is precious to us now." She took a deep breath, and spoke loud and clear, "Something, most likely a force of evil, has sought and found the Crest of Imagination. The failsafe for the crest activated, and was sent out to find its chosen one. However, it appeared all four of you were selected, and it split into four to choose you all." Luna continued her sister's explanation, "Now, we are sure the evil is seeking you out. And is causing ruptures within the Realm Balance to lure you toward him. These ruptures cause breaches, in which beings from other realms, usually with the exception of the human realm, are transported into neighboring ones." Twilight then continued for her, "From what we've seen so far, in most cases, the beings are affected by the transportation of the breach. They go wild, out of control, causing mayhem and destruction if not sent back. In most cases, they are sent back naturally when the Realm Balance repairs itself, other cases however, it may take too long and chaos happens before it is sent back naturally." "That's what happened to Goblimon," Guilmon said, "He was taking too long to be sent back, and so we had to delete him so he could be sent back to the Digital World that way, which is easier and faster." "Joy... And just when summer vacation starts..." Daniel said, groaning in annoyance. "What bad luck." Alyssa commented, "But its not all bad. I got to be a Digidestined like I've always wanted, and Guilmon is the best digimon I could ever ask for!" She said, smiling. "Thanks Alyssa, your the best partner I could ever ask for too!" Guilmon complimented. Madison tilted her head, a question on her mind, "But, if the bad guys are coming through these breach things, what about our home?" Celestia smiled, "Not to worry young one, the human realm is protected. You see, the human realm has multiple layers of protection against breaches. Each layer is created from the neighboring realms by a certain object. The layer created by Equestria is the Harmony Tree." Alyssa put a fist in her open palm, "Then the Digital World's layer must be the Destiny Stones!" Daniel scratched his cheek in thought, "I don't know what the Ghost Zone's layer could be..." Madison beat her head with her fist in a failing attempt to think what could be the Pokémon world's layer. "So many things it could be, I can't think of one." "Excuse me Princess, what's the Harmony Tree?" Twilight asked. "I'll explain that later to you." Celestia answered, causing Twilight to pout in disappointment. The eight year old Ryan said, "Can we go back to Ponyville now? I'm hungry." Luna agreed, "It is also soon time to raise the moon, and lower the sun." Pinkie Pie exclaimed, "Cupcakes for everyone! Let's go! Bring out the transition line!" After returning to Ponyville, saying goodbye to the Princesses as they headed back to Canterlot, and finally having a decent dinner. Our four heroic... Okay, not so heroic yet, friends journeyed back to the barn where they would stay for the night. Ryan Chukareth, eight years old, stood up late trying to gain access to his so called 'Magical Powers'. The rest of his friends had powers, or partners and devices. Not to mention they also had access to them, partially, Daniel was still trying to control his, and what he knew of Pokémon and Digimon, Guilmon and Charmander were still weak. But from what Twilight Sparkle said, he should have access to all pony magic! Except for Alicorn of course, but then again, he didn't like having a god-like power capable of beating everything in one hit, where's the fun in that? So here Ryan frantically waving his hands about in an effort to release some sort of magical spell, failing quite badly. "Daniel!" Ryan shouted, "I need some help!" the young boy pleaded. The halfa walked toward Ryan, "With your magical powers no doubt?" Daniel joked. Ryan nodded, "Uh huh!" Daniel scratched his head, "Hm, I don't know how I can help with that through..." he trailed off. Ryan waved his arms about, as if he was proclaiming that Daniel has the knowledge, "Of course you can! You got super powers, so you can help me use my super powers!" "Yes, super powers of a ghost, not magic." Daniel reminded. Ryan pouted, "Can you show me?" He asked. Daniel smiled, "Sure!" he exclaimed, stepping back he changed into a battle stance yelling, "I'm going ghost!" A white ring of energy appeared around Daniel's midsection, splitting in two vertically as it passed along his body. His power transforming his clothes into a black hazmat suit, his hands and feet being covered in white boots and gloves. "That's so cool!" Ryan shouted in awe. "I know, it never gets old! Daniel Phantom at your service." Daniel said proudly. "I hope my magic stuff gives me a super awesome transformation like yours!" Daniel laughed, "We'll see, I'm sure it'll come to you someday. Now, shouldn't you be In bed?" At those words, Ryan pouted so adorably that Daniel started laughing hard. Before coming down and leading the eight year old friend of his toward the sleeping bags. Both Madison and Alyssa were asleep, yet Guilmon stood awake, lying on the ground yes, but awake. After tucking Ryan in, Daniel Phantom released a tensed breath of air, white rings reappeared around his midsection and doing the same process. His human self coming back into view as his ghost half went back into hiding. Guilmon had an expression of confusion, "That was the ghost thing, right?" He questioned. The fourteen year old teen sat on his sleeping bag, "Yeah, it was. I called it Daniel Phantom, or Phantom form for short." Daniel answered as he lay on his unrolled bag. "What you think will happen tomorrow?" Guilmon questioned. "Don't know, all the talk with the Princesses left questions in my head. I mean, sure its pretty cool to have ghost powers and everything, but the responsibility seems a bit overwhelming. Not sure my friends fully realize that." Daniel replied to the digimon. "But even then, I'll learn to control my powers and protect them. They're the only friends I have, ya know?" Guilmon nodded in agreement, "Yep, and you four are the only people I know too. Your my friends, and partners." "You're not bad for a digimon." Daniel complimented. "And you're not bad for a human." Guilmon returned the compliment. "Well, I'm hitting the hay." Daniel punned, because they were literally sleeping next to hay stacks. "Night." Guilmon lay his head against the floor, "Yeah night." Daniel Marris turned off the lamp, and the darkness took over. Leaving them all to sleep, dream, and wonder about what adventures await them the very next day. > Chapter 4: So, one breach at a time? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crest of Imagination Chapter 4: So, one breach at a time? A couple hours in the morning, the sun high in the air, our chosen ones were rudely awakened to the side of an angry flock of birds. Like, really angry, they pecked at the barn's superstructure like woodpeckers with a goal. At first the children tried plugging their ears by burying themselves deeper within their sleeping bags. But the pecking onslaught continued to annoy and irritate them. Finally, they had enough. "What is that noise!" Ryan exclaimed. "Someone shut the birds up!" Daniel said, angry that he was so rudely awoken. "Spearow, Spearow, Spearow!" the noise of the birds echoed into the building. Madison had a annoyed look on her face, "I hate spearow, they're annoying to everyone!" She stood up, the nine year old grasping the pokeball on her waist. "Charmander, I choose you!" She opened the pokeball, and a bright white energy coursed outward and took the shape of the Pokémon before her. After full materializing, the fire orange Pokémon greeted her. "Char, Char!" Alyssa groaned, "Let's go Guilmon. It sounds like there are a lot of them out there," she then yawned as her body tried to awaken her. Guilmon stood up, ready to move, "Sure thing partner," he said. The Pokémon trainer and Digidestined opened the barn door, and were greeted by a huge flock of winged terror. Huge flock being around in the hundreds, which were a lot of spearows. Alyssa blinked, "I thought those breaches only transport one at a time?" Madison stepped back a bit, "Apparently not Alyssa, there so many of them!" "Spearow!" The flock shouted with rage, all charging at them. Guilmon went in front of Alyssa protectively, "Pyro Sphere!" he shouted, a concentrated ball of flame erupted forth from his mouth, shooting toward the wild Pokémon and exploding when making contact, taking out three spearow who fainted and landed on the ground. "Charmander, ember attack!" Madison commanded. "Char!" Her Pokémon spin its tail, specks of flame launching toward the flock of spearow , taking out a few. "Pyro Sphere!" "Charmander!" "Pyro Sphere!" "Char, Char!" Again and again, the fire-ordinated duo of creatures launched their flame-based attacks at the flock of spearow. But which each blow, each spearow that fainted and fell, another took its place. Soon enough, the spearow was on them, pecking at both them and their partners. "Ow! There's too many! We can't fight them all!" Alyssa shouted over the noises of the spearow. Madison clutched to Alyssa's side as she tried to use her hands to wave the flying Pokémon off, "Go away! Go away!" she looked to charmander and yelled, "Use smoke screen!" The fire Pokémon opened its mouth to release a cloud of black smoke, it rushed out of him and expanded to cover the entire area that made battlefield. The spearow stopped their relentless assault and flew back to avoid the smoke. This action allowed both humans and their partners to retreat back into the barn house and close the door. Madison fell on her rump against the door, her hands caressing the bruises and scratches caused by the spearow. "It hurts... I never knew how much pecking can hurt..." Daniel and Ryan ran up to them in concern, Ryan asked, "Are you alright? Those marks look like they really hurt." Daniel took a glance at Guilmon, "You don't look injured at all." Guilmon replied, "My scales were too strong for them to penetrate or scratch, but Alyssa wasn't as lucky.' Alyssa nodded, "I'm sure if Guilmon could digivolve to champion we would've defeated them easily." she grasped her digivice from her side and inspected it, "But I don't think they counted enough as a danger for the digivice to work." Madison looked to her, "But they were dangerous! Look at how much they attacked us!" The fourteen year old halfa commented, "But none of you are bleeding, just minor scratches and bruises." Ryan then noticed something, "Hey, is it me, or is it really quiet?" That got everyone's attention, they listened for the rambunctious sound that spearow made, but nothing was to be heard. Just the sound of the wind. They opened the door slightly to get a peek, but the flock of bird Pokémon had vanished mysteriously. "You think they return to the Pokémon world?" Ryan questioned. "Possibly, Guilmon, go outside and check." Daniel said. "Sure thing." Guilmon replied, the door opening more to allow him passage as he walked outside and looked around for any danger. The digimon glanced around for any sign of the spearow, but they were gone, poof, disappeared into thin air. There was no way they could have flown away that fast, so the most logical choice was that the Realm Balance returned them to their original home. Guilmon turned around, "It's all clear! The spearow had returned to their realm!" The humans breathed signs of relief, Madison returned her Pokémon partner into her pokeball, and then they all went outside to Guilmon's position. Suddenly, Guilmon started growling, surprising the human children with a sudden jolt. Alyssa scanned the area around her, before her eyes set upon a pillar of fog appearing in the dead center of Ponyville, before expanding to create a digital field that engulfed the entirety of the town. "Joy..." Daniel commented sarcastically. "We got to save them!" Ryan exclaimed, rushing toward danger. "It's a digital field, that means there's a digimon! Guilmon, we have to help!" Alyssa said, running toward Ponyville. "Right away, Alyssa!" Daniel and Madison chased after their friends, all of them heading toward Ponyville to help with whatever chaos a newly arrived digital being was going to cause. A large bird like creature, with the appearance of an eagle, two black horns coming from its head, and razor sharp talons to match! The size of this digimon matched that of a bus! This digimon's name is Aquilamon, champion level, usually a guardian of good will, its Blast laser and Glide horn attacks are both unique and destructive! "Taste my Blast Laser!" Aquilamon shouted, opening its mouth as a loud screech echoed outward and ring-like energy shot forth and destroyed a few stalls around the marketplace. "Why are you doing this!" a purple unicorn yelled out. Twilight Sparkle tried effortlessly to reason with the large bird digimon before her, she assumed it was a digimon because of what Daniel told them of Digital Fields beforehand. And from Guilmon's indication, all digimon were intelligent. So hoped that perhaps she could get through to the digimon even if the recent breach was influencing its mind. The Aquilamon shook his head, more like it was resisting than saying no, "You will perish- Stop me... Please, prepare to be deleted!" the bird digimon exclaimed as charged with its horns at Twilight Sparkle. "Glide Horn!" Twilight, in an act of quick reflexes, had her horn lit up with magic, teleporting in a flash of light from her current position to a few meters to the right. Avoiding Aquilamon's attack who then flew up into the air, and turned around. "Hey, you leave her alone you big chicken!" the voice of Rainbow Dash insulted, the speeding Pegasus slamming her small body against the digimon's side. Causing the digimon to yelp in pain before flapping its powerful wings, causing a strong breeze to blow Rainbow Dash away. "You dare attack Aquilamon?! Blast Laser!" it screeched, ring-like energy shooting toward Rainbow Dash who struggled to regain her flight against the artificial made wind. "Pyro Sphere!" A ball of flame rushed right past the falling Pegasus and intercepted the Blast Laser of Aquilamon's. Allowing Rainbow Dash to land safely on the ground. Aquilamon flew closer to the ground, his keen eyes scouting the battlefield before laying eyes on a digimon and a group of humans, all with tags around their necks with crest. He began to plead, "Digidestined! You must- Suffer!" the voice of Aquilamon went back to its rampaging self. "Get ready Guilmon! This is going to be tough." Alyssa said. "Charmander, use ember!" Madison shouted as she released charmander from his pokeball, the fire pokemon spinning its flamng tail around, small spurts of fire releasing toward Aquilamon. But Aquilamon used his power wings to make a gust of air that dissipated the ember attack before it could reach him. Guilmon charged forward, opening his mouth to release his signature attack, "Pyro Sphere!" Aquilamon dodged his attack easily, taunting them, "You're going to have to do better than that, Digidestined!" "Ryan, go hide and stay safe!" Daniel shouted to Ryan. "But-!" "No buts! Now hide!" Daniel commanded, causing the eight year old to fidget and scramble for shelter. Daniel glared at the large bird digimon, "Alyssa, do you know anything about this guy?" Alyssa made a thoughtful face, "Well, I think he's champion level. Which is a level above where Guilmon's at right now." "So I assume it's going to be tough?" Daniel questioned. Alyssa nodded, "Unless I can get Guilmon to digivolve again, then yeah." "Thanks, that'll all I need to know. I don't think the ponies will do anything bad to me, so what's to hide?" he got into a familiar stance, "I'm going ghost!" Daniel felt the familiar energy that was his ghostly powers run up and down his body, the appearance of those white rings crossing through his vision before his transformation completed itself. Daniel gulped as he ran toward the nearest building, watching all the while as Madison gave orders to her charmander, and Guilmon continued to fire Pyro Spheres at Aquilamon. The champion level bird digimon seem to be distracted by the ember and Pyro Sphere attacks, and Daniel was going to use that to his advantage... If he can try and fly that is. So far, the only way he knew how is to try his luck. Jump from a building, cross your fingers, and try and fly. Luckily, from what he's seen from Danny Phantom, if he fails, fall, and crash lands on the ground. His enhanced ghost body will remain mostly unscathed from the impact. So jump away! Wow, that sounded sort of suicidal now that he thinks about it. Reaching the top of the building, Daneil looked up to see Aquilamon rushing toward Guilmon, his horns sharp and ready to tear through Alyssa's partner. "Glide Horn!" Aquilamon shouted his attack, but as the digimon approached closer. Something suddenly made Daniel's body have a sudden chill rush through him. He released a breath of blue mist from his mouth. "Oh God..." Daniel commented, as he looked at Aquilamon and noticed his eyes were green. "He's being overshadowed by a ghost! No wonder he's attacking!" Daniel shouted out loud, everyone hearing him. "Overshadowed? What you mean! Like possessed?!" Alyssa yelled in reply. Twilight Sparkle, having helped Rainbow Dash up, said, "Of course, that's the reason why he can't resist the breach's influence properly! He's fighting a two-sided battle in his mind!" Madison exclaimed, "Wait, if a ghost is here. Doesn't that mean there were two breaches simultaneously?" the little girl stated. Daniel sighed, "Talk about bad luck, our second day here and the bad guy can't just send us one breach at a time?" He said, getting a running jump before he grasped onto the charging Aquilamon's leg. "Daniel, be careful!" Ryan shouted from his hiding spot. "Guilmon wait! Don't fire your Pyro Spheres, you might hurt Daniel!" Alyssa yelled to Guilmon. Guilmon jumped to the side to avoid Aquilamon's Glide Horn attack, "What's he doing, he's tough sure, but he can't handle a digimon!" Guilmon exclaimed. Daniel struggled to climb on Aquilamon's back, gripping on the rather strong feathers before he managed to get on. "No, I can't handle a digimon yet, but I can sure handle a ghost!" He turned his hand intangible, "And it's about time this one got out of the bird's nest!" Daniel Phantom thrust his intangible hand into Aquilamon's back. Causing the digimon to screech in surprise as the sudden feeling of ice ran up his spine. Suddenly Aquilamon's eyes turned brown, and Daniel pulled out a nasty looking green bird ghost. The bird ghost tried to peck him, but Daniel smashed his fist into it. "Talk about a bad egg." he punned. Aquilamon stopped his erratic movement with a sudden halt, causing Daniel to slip off the digimon's back and start falling with the ghost tight in his grip. "Ahhh!" Daniel screamed, closing his eyes in fear. "Daniel!" All his friends screamed out in horror. But Daniel Phantom strangely felt the rush feeling of air stop slowly, he opened his eyes to see his legs gone, only a ghostly tail having replaced them. He looked around to see he was hovering in the air a few meters from the ground. "Phew," Daniel breathed a sigh of relief. Making sure the feeling of him flying is filed nice in his memory, Daniel slowly, very slowly, managed to float back down to the ground. It was a lot easier for his legs to appear once more since he knew the feeling of them all his life. He landed, but as he glanced toward the bird ghost in his grip, it began phasing out of existence before disappearing all together. "Guess that's how they go back." Daniel said as he looked toward his friends running toward him. "You alright?" Alyssa asked in worry. "Daniel, you're okay right?" Madison also asked in worry. "That was so epic!" Ryan complimented. Daniel scratched the back of his head with a embarrassed smile on his face, "I'm fine, and yeah, it was quite epic." Aquilamon flew down and landed before the group of humans, digimon, and a Pokémon. The group went in their own battle stances as they prepared to fight once more, but Aquilamon raised a wing. "Hold your hands Digidestined, I am in control of my actions." Aquilamon said with a royal-like voice. Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash hurried over to them, Rainbow Dash prepared to fight, "Let me show you-" but was stopped by Twilight's magic. "Wait Rainbow Dash, he's not rampaging anymore!" Twilight said. Aquilamon turned his head to them, "Your friend is right, I was not myself beforehand. But now that the Digidestined have lifted the stronger influence off of me, I can now control myself. I apologize for my actions, and the damage I have caused to your town." Twilight smiled as Rainbow Dash calmed down, the purple unicorn asked, "Excuse me, Aquilamon, may I ask. What happened to you?" Aquilamon nodded, understanding the question. "Very well, I was guarding my area within the Digital desert. When suddenly, a tear opened up and blinded me. Transporting me right above your town, where I then noticed a influence on my mind which started to try and take over. I battled for dominance and won, but in my distraction, a flash of green passed by my vision and before I knew it. I was losing against a two-sided war within the confines of my own body and mind. Thankfully, once I saw the Digidestined, I knew that they would stop me." Twilight rubbed a hoof on her chin, "Mmh, the first influence must be the breach's side effect." Daniel added on, "The second was the ghost overshadowing him." Aquilamon took notice that he was phasing out, "What is happening to me now?" Twilight grinned, "Don't worry Aquilamon, that happens when the Realm Balance is repairing itself. You are returning to your original world you were in before being transported here." Aquilamon then said, "If that is so," he turned to the four human friends and their partners, "Thank you Digidestined, for saving me. I wish you luck in fulfilling your duties." He saluted with a wing, before disappearing all together. "We learned a lot today." Twilight said. Alyssa began, "Like how multiple breaches can happen not only in the same day, but at the same time?" she finished. "Yes, and its imperative that you four and your partners start training." Twilight said, "As much as I dislike teaching how to fight. I know that Ryan will need to know some fort of combat magic to defend himself. We didn't fair so well against Aquilamon." she said. "I agree, let's get started shall we?" Daniel said. > Chapter 5: 'Hated' Training > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crest of Imagination Chapter 5: 'Hated' Training With the sun high in the sky, blue skies as far as the eye can see, and a now digital field free Ponyville. Things were looking up for the Digidestined of Imagination. Of course, when Twilight said they needed to start training. She meant at the earlier opportunity, with no breaks, and according to her, the most 'efficient training method'. So here our heroes were, running laps around the entirety of Ponyville, a rainbow haired Pegasus egging them on with both insults, actually, mostly insults and demands. "When I said let's get started," Daniel huffed out as he continued to run in his human form, "I didn't mean torture!" His friends all groaned and nodded in agreement, too tired to even speak while jogging. Rainbow Dash replied to him, "Oh come on, this is just a warm-up! You four are seriously out of shape! And Daniel, you still have to practice flying with him in your ghost mojo form!" Daniel breathed heavily, "It's called... My Phantom Form!" He retorted. As they passed by Twilight, they heard the muttering of, "Teach Ryan Unicorn magic, make Guilmon and Charmander have target practice, have Madison and Alyssa practice dodging." "Why Lord, why have you done this to us!" Daniel screamed to high heavens. Alyssa wailed in agony as her muscles burned from the workout, "It must be from that one time we lied to our teachers about finishing our homework! It's coming back to bite us!" "Complain, complain, complain!" Rainbow Dash yelled, "Where's your sport spirit!" "Left it when I joined the nerd nation." Daniel replied sarcastically. Rainbow Dash giggled a bit at that, before saying, "The youngest at of all of you is doing better! Look at him, he's ahead of you all!" Indeed, the eight year old brony was practically skipping his way, whistling the theme song of his favorite television show as he went. Madison commented on this, "That's cause Ryan plays flag football! He's had lots of practice in running!" She said. "Your half way there, then you only have one more lap to finish!" Rainbow Dash said. "That's it! Going ghost!" Daniel yells as blue-white rings appear around his mid-section and travel along his body. The transformation completing as it revealed Daniel Phantom in his black and white hazmat suit. Daniel flew into the air, but suddenly stopped. He noticed how he was no longer breathing heavily, he felt like he never ran in the first place. "Wow, I must have superhuman stamina in this form. That would explain why Danny could always last that long in fights." Daniel said to himself. He looked to Rainbow Dash, a grin plastered on his face, "How about some good ole revenge." Rainbow Dash laughed at him in response, "Yeah right, you couldn't outfly a humming bird." Daniel flew after the cocky Pegasus, but she flew faster than he could blink. He looked around for her, realizing that he could probably only fly around ten miles an hour, let alone, what he knew he will be capable of, hundred and twelve miles per hour. He turned intangible, and the wind resistance pretty much evaporated, increasing his speed by another twenty. With this, he began chasing after Rainbow Dash who leisurely flew upside down and taunted him again and again about how slow he was. When he catches that pony, he swears he'll give her something to talk about. But unfortunately for Daniel, his ghost powers decide to short out on him. He turned back into human mid-flight, and began screaming as he fell plummeting toward the ground. "Go ghost, go ghost, go ghost!" he frantically yelled as he tried to transform back. The now familiar blue-white rings appeared around his mid-section and turned him into his ghost half within two seconds time. Where he then crashed into the ground with a hard impact, he was lucky his ghost half had incredible durability. Rainbow Dash flew overhead, and landed next to the downed human boy, "Hey, you alright?" Daniel groaned, "Never been better..." "Good, now turn back into your human form and start jogging again." "Joy..." Ryan Chukareth scratched his cheek in thought, trying to comprehend what Twilight Sparkle just explained to him in a long-winded lecture about Unicorn magic. Honestly, it wasn't all his fault, how can she really expect an eight year old to understand the complex theory behind the conversion of energy into the physical plane from the magical core within him? Sounded more like something from Harry Potter than My Little Pony in his opinion. "I don't understand," Ryan said, giving up on trying to figure it out himself. Twilight Sparkle sighed, "Laypony terms Twilight, laypony terms." she said to herself. Ryan pouted, albeit adorably, and said, "Hey, I'm smart! I passed the second grade recently!" Twilight facehoofed, and began explaining in a more simplistic way, "You have to get a feel for your magic, normally a pony would have to take years of study for them too access their magic beyond simple spells or activities. But we don't have that time, and is why I started you off with exercising. Tell me, Ryan, did you feel anything while you were jogging?" she asked. "Um, I felt really strong and I didn't get tired as fast." Ryan answered her as he sat on a small stool. "Do you remember the feeling of it exactly?" Twilight asked. Ryan looked thoughtful, "Think so." "Try to feel that now." Ryan thought back to when he was jogging, and the feeling it experienced during it. He pictured himself running having strength, when suddenly his body responding by supplying exactly what he felt beforehand. The power coursing through him making he feel like some sort super hero! Twilight giggled with excitement, "Great job, now keep that feeling going and memorize it! That's your Earth pony magic." "What does it do?" Ryan asked out of curiosity. "Enchanced strength, endurance, durability, and pain tolerance, from what I know so far." Twilight explained, "Next we'll work on Pegasus magic, before finally Unicorn magic, which will be the hardest." "Aw, more work." Ryan whined, "But I can't wait to do magic! How much super strength do I have? Can I lift a bus? How about a house?" "We'll have to do more test to get the results, but don't try lifting something too big. I don't want you getting hurt." Twilight said, her eyes then landing on the crest piece tied around his neck, "On the other hoof, do you mind if I study your crest piece for a while? I'm quite fascinating by it." Ryan's eyes widened, before he raised his tag and crest piece with his hand, "My crest? Oh, sure! I don't mind Twilight!" The eight year old said happily as he took it off and handed it over to the unicorn. The unicorn tried to grasp it with her levitation spell, but her magic could not surround it. She tried again, but it did not work. "Alright, first note: Crest of Imagination is immune to foreign magic." she said to herself as she used the old fashion way with her hoof before going over to a desk to study the object. "What about me Twilight?" Ryan asked. "Take a break, its past lunch anyway. Go and make friends, and play." Twilight said, not even glancing back at him as she was so concentrated on a new study. "Okay!" The young child said, turning around and leaving the library. Our lovable nine year old Pokémon trainer currently tried her very hardest to make her beloved charmander have super cool moves. With what she learned of the recent fight against that giant bird digimon ghost possessed thing, Charmander didn't have a strong enough attack to fight a digimon. Sure even Guilmon couldn't defeat the birdy, but the point was that Guilmon had a very strong flame attack that at least did something useful. While charmander only had a weak ember attack, which was easily blown away. Of course she wouldn't give charmander up just for a stronger Pokémon! They will just have to train to get stronger! And then charmander can get new moves, and maybe evolve to charmeleon! Madison Barbs, with the use of various hand gestures and childish facial expressions, energetically explained the purpose of having so called 'Super Cool Moves'. "That way we can help Daniel, Alyssa, and Guilmon a lot better and be great superhero partners!" Madison exclaimed, her hands to her hips and chest pushed out proudly, obviously trying to make some sort of superhero stance. "Charmander, char, char!" "I knew you would agree! Now start spitting out flamethrower!" Madison ordered, pointing toward a boulder she had marked as the target. Charmander opened its mouth, all for a small smoke cloud to come out comically. Madison fell backward on the ground soon after, getting back up, she looked to charmander in thought. "So... Are you a game charmander, or a TV show charmander? I hope TV show, cause I know more about the TV one than a game one." Her charmander gave her a expression of confusion. "Char?" "Well, let's stick with the TV show, cause I know you can use flamethrower in the show as a charmander." Madison said, nodding to herself. The Pokémon had honestly no clue what its trainer was mumbling on about. "Flamethrower at the rock, charmander! You can do it!" Madison encouraged her Pokémon. Charmander repeated the exact process of the previous try, no progress being made. Causing Madison to cross her arms as she delved into her train of thoughts. "Okay, I don't think your doing it right. You got feel that fiery power within your belly button! Then you bring it up to your mouth and make a giant flamethrower attack! Um, kind of like having the fire on your tail inside your belly then bringing it out!" Madison tried to explain to her charmander. "Now, one more time! We can't let Alyssa and her partner be stronger than us! Flamethrower!" Madison Barbs shouted, pointing toward the rock, "I know you can do it, I believe you can!" "Chaaaar!" Charmander exclaimed loudly, his mouth opening ride and the spark of fire igniting within him. Its body filling with energy that it did not know where it came from, but it felt great. Within a few seconds, a large line of flame burst forth from his mouth, heading directly toward the target before impacting with a grand spectacular of fire going over the rocky surface before melting it. Once charmander stopped its newly learned fire-based attack, it felt itself get lifted into the happy go lucky arms of a excited nine year old African-American girl, "You did it charmander! You did it, you did it, you did it! Now we have a much better attack to use than ember!" "Charmander!" The Pokémon happily said, glad to see its trainer so proud of it. "Good job, how about you get some rest while I go see what we can eat for lunch? I'm sure Daniel or Alyssa will know, they tend to always find what we need." She said, lifting her pokeball to charmander's form before returning the Pokémon inside of it with a red beam of energy. Still giddy and energetic from her and her charmander's success with a new move, the little girl skipped happily toward the direction of the barn where they stayed at. It was the first place she would look for her friends, she knew that at least Daniel at to be there, cause he did look tired after those other exercises with that rainbow pony. Alyssa Jarnagin looked at her digimon partner who rested peacefully on the grass, she had learned a few things from him. Mainly, he was a virus-type digimon, had two moves called Pyro Sphere and Rock Breaker, had some knowledge regarding various types of digimon, and also really liked the taste of baked bread. The first bit of this knowledge surprised her, she never knew of a Digidestined having a virus digimon for a partner, but it didn't affect Alyssa's morals. She didn't care if Guilmon was data, vaccine, or virus. He was her digimon partner, and that's what counted. Still, it did give her a advantage against Data-type digimon. However Vaccine types would be more effective against her partner. Luckily, she was sure, and given time, Madison's Pokémon would counteract that weakness since it wasn't a digimon at all. "Hey Guilmon?" Alyssa said. "Yeah?" Guilmon replied, raising his head and glancing at his human partner. "Have you like, ever heard of beings besides digimon and humans?" Alyssa questioned. Guilmon looked thoughtful, before shaking his head, "No, not really. This is all new to me too," he answered. "Oh, well, how about other Digidestined?" she questioned. Guilmon nodded, "Yeah sure there are other Digidestined, all of them having their own digimon partners." he said. Alyssa's expression went into surprise, "Really? How come the humans don't know it? I mean, I saw the television series and how the digimon attacks Earth during season two." Guilmon looked confused, before his eyes lit in realization, "Oh! Well, Alyssa, the other Digidestined are the saviors of the Eastern Quadrant, each Quadrant has their own version of the human world." "What? Then there are like? Many Earths?" Alyssa asked in confusion. "It's complicated, but the Digital world is connected to multiple realms. In fact, not many digimon even know that. Guess I got kind of lucky with the information." "Then do you know what ours is?" "Central Quadrant, yours is the most important one. I guess you can think of it like how your human realm is protected in layers. The North, South, East, and West Quadrants cast a protective barrier over it. It did fall one time, and that was when the Eastern Quadrants Digidestined were all over the place trying to protect the destiny stones." "Oh... I guess the destiny stones aren't our layer if that's the case. You sure know a lot!" Alyssa complimented. "Thanks! I was a traveler as Gigimon, but I always felt like I was missing someone. And that was you!" Guilmon returned her compliment. Alyssa lay back on the grass next to her digimon, "So if the destiny stones aren't our layer for my world. What is?" "Don't know," Guilmon said, "Even I don't know everything. A lot of what I told you is pretty much the limit of my knowledge." Alyssa giggled, "You know, somewhere I think there is a very childish version of you." Guilmon laughed, "Maybe! But I haven't seen another of me around!" Alyssa sighed, "I wish bad things weren't happening, then we could just play around instead." "Nothing happens just for fun unfortunately." Guilmon said. Suddenly, the two's stomach growled. Their claws and hands reaching for them in unison reaction. They looked to each other, and laughed joyously. Alyssa sat up, "How about we go and eat some lunch. I'm sure Ryan and Madison are going to find Daniel at the Barn first, so we'll head there." "Sounds good to me Alyssa!" Guilmon said in agreement. The two of them got up, and walked together side by side toward the barn house. > Chapter 6: Frozen Breach! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crest of Imagination Chapter 6: Frozen Breach! The very next day, after a rather peaceful morning and afternoon. The group of friends were having a nice break after another training session, they went to go sight seeing. The decided to have a trip to the grand capital of Canterlot. Twilight Sparkle and her friends happily paid for the human children and went along with them. The train pumping steam as it started choo chooing through its tracks. The children watched in fascination as the environment sped by, but yet was still clearly visible. Having never been on a train before, they were easily entertained by the 'new' method of transportation. "This is much more cozy than a plane!" Madison commented happily, bouncing up and down the booths. "You said it Madison!" Ryan agreed whole hearteningly, "A lot of room to move around too! I always hated staying still in a seat for hours on end!" "Yeah- huh? Hey Ryan, is the castle in the distance suppose to look like that?" Madison questioned, pointing toward Canterlot. Ryan was confused, and he looked toward the direction his friend was pointing at, "Uh, Twilight! You better come see! Everyone come see this!" He shouted throughout the trolley. His friends and the Mane Six came over and looked right out the window, their eyes widening with shock and surprise, a few gasps heard from the ponies as they noticed a very different appearance of Canterlot. The entire city, and castle, was covered in ice. "This is bad, this is bad!" Twilight exclaimed. "Um, look." Fluttershy said, pointing up at the air. The high pitch noise of a screeching bird caused the humans and ponies within the train to cover their ears, they looked up to see a large blue bird souring overhead. Quickly, they went to the other side of the train to see what it was doing. It appeared to follow the train with a bit of caution, but as they approached the frozen land that was now Canterlot. The bird screeched again, and a bright blue of energy formed within its beak. "I recognize that Pokémon! It's Articuno!" Madison shouted, "It's a legendary ice- Uh oh..." Articuno blasted its move toward the ground, the beam shaped like three bolts of lighting intertwining with each other. But instead of electricity, the ground becoming a field of ice as the beam closed in at the train. "Brace yourselves!" Daniel shouted. The train could not stop itself, the tracks in front of it becoming tracks of ice instead of iron. The moment the train slid into the ice, the machine lost its balance, starting to skid along the now icy fields before tilting over on its side. The humans and ponies within crashing into the fortunately soft booths instead of the windows as the tilted over train continued to slide harshly before crashing into the icy domain of Articuno's Canterlot. Madison groaned as she got up, her vision a little blurry from hitting the side of the train. She looked up toward a cracked mirror to see Articuno flying by and away, she climbed up some of the booths, using some of her friends as a boost to get up. She grabbed a broken bulb, and threw it at the broken window. It broke apart, thankfully not falling on her or her friends. Madison went up through it, and stood on the outside side of the train. Articuno's form was small now from how far it flew, but it looked like it at entered the frozen castle. She glanced around her surroundings, it appeared that the train had crashed right at above the Canterlot docking. Convenient, but lucky she assumed. "Is everypony alright?" Madison heard the voice of Applejack speak from back within the train. Madison peeked back into the train, "I'm okay Applejack! I'm right outside!" She saw everyone getting back up, and disentangling themselves from each other. She put her hand down, to reach for somebody who needed help getting out. Ryan obliged, grabbing her hand and Madison pulled him up enough for him to get out by his own. "Thanks Madison, whoa, it's like a city made of ice!" Ryan exclaimed as he saw his new surroundings. As Madison helped everyone and pony out of the train, the ones who could fly got out by themselves. Daniel then went ghost, and used both his flight and intangibility to help the rest of them out of the train. Madison watched as the blue-white rings formed around Daniel again, and he changed back to his human form. Everyone now stood on the crashed train's side as they observed their situation. "What the hay was that!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "A Pokémon with the ability to control ice," Madison answered, "It's a Legendary too, they're like, really powerful!" Guilmon commented, "And I thought digimon with ice abilities were a bothersome." Twilight scanned the frozen castle, "The Princesses must still be in there," she looked toward the pathway which was block by a giant wall of ice. "Blocked, we will have to find another way in." Madison pulled out her Pokeball, "Not exactly! Charmander, I choose you!" She exclaimed, throwing the pokeball into the air which released the fire-type Pokémon. The orange flame-tailed lizard greeting them with a simple, "Charmander!" The nine year old girl caught her pokeball, then pointed to the wall of ice, "Charmander, use flamethrower to open the pathway!" Charmander nodded, opening its mouth toward the wall, "Chaaaar!" It shouted as a breath of red hot fire burst outward and impacted the wall of ice, melting it within seconds of time before charmander stopped its assault." Guilmon was impressed, "Whoa, when did you learn that!" He yelled. Madison replied, "Charmander and I practiced it yesterday when we were alone, I'm so proud of him!" Alyssa then said, "Keep charmander out then, Guilmon's Pyro Sphere is a bit too explosive. It might shatter the ice and hurt us rather than only melt." Pinkie Pie ice skated forward, "Let's go, I got a couple jokes up my hooves for that blue birdie!" She said, giggling all the way, "Weee!" "How did she get the ice skates?" Daniel questioned. "It's just Pinkie," all the ponies replied to him. Trekking through the frozen city, they noticed many ponies were frozen solid. Like it all happened without warning, really, they were still doing what they did everyday when they were suddenly frozen by the breach. Glancing back out, past the ice tundra created by Articuno, the ice seemed to start expanding. "Look at the bright side, the ice is well-made for a rampaging bird." Rarity commented, "Just look on how well it goes along the buildings." Fluttershy didn't share the same compliments, "Oh, the poor ponies. Why does such a beautiful animal cause such devastation." Daniel saw something that made him chuckle loudly, Fluttershy thought it negative. "How could you laugh at their misery." Fluttershy said. Daniel raised his hands in the air, "No, no, I'm not laughing at your fellow ponies," he said, before pointing up toward the roof of a building. "I'm laughing at a frozen box ghost." The group looked up to see a fat human-like ghost wearing worker clothes waving his hands high in the air as he screamed in what they assumed to be in a threatening matter. Only, he was now frozen solid in that position. "Probably screaming 'Beware! I am the box ghost' at that moment when he got stuck in the freezer." Daniel said, replicating the box ghost's voice for his quote. Twilight had other things on her mind, "I don't understand, why is this breach taking so long to fix itself? We shouldn't be having this serious of a breach yet. Something is going on." "Grrrr." Guilmon started growling, and Alyssa instantly knew. "There's a digimon here!" Alyssa said, looking around for the familiar pillar of fog that usually coincides with it. But she saw nothing nearby, "Where's the digital field?" Guilmon replied to his partner, "The digimon, it has enough power and intelligence to leave its field, that's why the field isn't here." "Great, more problems. Why can't they come in single file line?" Daniel questioned no one in particular. "Cause that would be too easy!" Ryan said with a chuckle. "Meant it sarcastically, Ryan." Daniel replied. "Hold on a second sugarcube," Applejack interrupted, talking to Alyssa's direction, "You telling me there is also this, digimon, in Canterlot?" "So, just means for bad guys for us to beat!" Rainbow Dash said, bumping her front hooves together. Madison corrected her, "Actually, Articuno is a girl." Guilmon added on, "Digimon don't have genders, we come from eggs created in the Primary Village." "Uh, everypony, we're getting off track here!" Pinkie Pie stated. "Pinkie's right, let's keep moving dears." Rarity agreed. Having stopped chatting in order to proceed further, the group of heroes made it past the downtown district and upper district, arriving at the entrance of the castle in which Madison's Pokémon melted the ice blocking the grand door from opening up. After opening and entering the doorway, revealing the large room. They noticed a being in the shadows on the ceiling. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" A sinister voice said, before the shadow figure dropped to the ground and revealed itself. "It's a white colored devimon!" Alyssa yelled with worry. "That's not just a white colored one," Guilmon started, "That is Icedevimon!" Icedevimon was a humanoid inspired by the devils of the Christian religion, he was pretty much a white bat-like creature with a satanic grin and personality to match! Be careful, for he is a champion level, with the skills Frost Claw and Zero Freeze that will send you to the ice age in pieces! "Are you the one who did this!" Rainbow Dash yelled. Icedevimon stretched his hands, as if displaying the area, "Of course, but the Pokémon did help. Very intriguing she is, but if not for me keeping her breach open, well, she would have returned quite some time ago." That caught their attention, this digimon knew of breaches. "How do you know about the breaches!" Twilight exclaimed to him. The fallen angel digimon raised his hands, "Oh, I guess my mouth slipped. Well, that's not for me to really answer. Because I'm just here to kill the Digidestined," he suddenly spread his arms around, his claws revealing themselves and mouth opening to show his fangs. "Prepare to be deleted, Digidestined and friends!" "Dude, you need to chill." Daniel said. Pinkie Pie laughed, "Oh I love puns..." She said. "Zero Freeze!" Icedevimon shouted as he fired a hand-sized blue beam toward them. "Charmander, flamethrower!" Madison shouted. "Chaar!" Charmander roared as a line of flame burst outward. "Pyro Sphere!" Guilmon shouted as he released his own ball of fire forth. The two fire-based attacks collided with Icedevimon's Zero Freeze, meeting in the center with a loud implosion. The smoke took away full visibility of their surroundings, but once it cleared, Icedevimon was gone. "Quick, he must have reached the top!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "Stop!" Ryan shouted. Everyone and Everypony stopped suddenly, they looked at Ryan in confusion. Alyssa asked, "What's the matter?" "We need to slow down, I mean, I know this is exciting and all but... Maybe we should think about this?" Ryan said with wisdom. Pinkie Pie agreed, she agreed! "Ryan is right! Plus, the story needs a slower pace anyhow!" Shaking off Pinkie Pie's unusual comments, Applejack said, "I agree, we can't just rush in there. This Icedevimon could be dangerous." Twilight rubbed a hoof on her chin, "Mmh, we know that the Pokémon is on the top. And that it's breach is somehow kept open by Icedevimon." "Not to mention that Icedevimon knew about the breaches in the first place, doesn't that strike as odd?" Rarity said, "That barbarian is using it too keep that beautiful creature from going home, perhaps we can find a way to close the breach manually?" She questioned. The group hmm'ed in unison as they thought as various ways to block up the breach manually so that Articuno could return to its original realm. These thoughts ranged from shooting a giant cake at it, to using a complex spell array. Alyssa Jarnagin spoke up first. "My digivice might be able too, but I'm not one-hundred percent sure," the eleven year old said, revealing the digivice in her palm. "All I know truly know is that it can destroy black gears, besides helping Guilmon digivolve that is," she explained. "Black gears?" Fluttershy said, "Those sound horrible." "Don't worry about them, they're long gone." Alyssa said, "Used to make digimon evil, causing them to be aggressive," She stated. Twilight's head shot up, "Say that again? The last part." Twilight asked. "They used to make digimon be aggressive?" Alyssa answered with a confused expression. "That's the part, can your digivice dispel the influence on Articuno's mind?" Twilight questioned, "The influence that causes him to act so aggressively towards everything?" She questioned further. The eleven year old Digidestined scratched her head in thought, "Maybe, but I'm unsure," she replied. Daniel lifted his hand up, "Hey, if Alyssa's digivice does not work. I believe I can overshadow the Pokémon and help it fight off the influence enough to stop its rampage." He said. "But that's a risk chance, I don't necessary have full control of my power all the time yet." Applejack nodded, "Now all that's left is to get close to the bird." Rainbow Dash laughed, before bumping her hooves together, "Leave that to me, I'll lure that frozen icicle down towards us while you prepare to do... Whatever needs to be done!" She said with confidence booming in her voice. Madison smiled, "Yay, we have a plan! Let's go!" The nine year old cheered, turning to face the direction where they had to go. "Uh, which way again?" Twilight pointed her hoof at a set frozen over staircases before walking that way, "This way everypony." Ryan instantly covered Pinkie Pie's mouth, "Please stop talking like your breaking some sort of wall Pinkie, I don't know if everyone can see us on TV!" "Oh don't worry Ryan," Pinkie Pie said after he uncovered her mouth, "We're not in the show," she reassured. "Okay, thanks." Ryan said. "I am curious on what's on the next chapter through." Pinkie Pie stated absently. Ugh... She really needs to stop breaking my fourth wall. "Once you give me more screen time in your other stories." "Pinkie!" The eight year old Ryan shouted a bit away. "Coming!" > Chapter 7: Castle of Ice > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crest of Imagination Chapter 7: Castle of Ice Daniel Marris finally realized the full scope of their responsibility, and the dangers present with it. Being chosen by a crest did not mean happy go lucky fun, but dangerous business that can correlate with potential death. In fact, right now, he was thinking he was going to die at the icy claws of Icedevimon. The digimon held him up by the throat, his friends, and the ponies, looked up helplessly as Icedevimon squeezed the life at of him. Not to mention, Guilmon, Charmander, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack were now ice sculptures for this creep. Oh, you're probably wondering how this came to be. Well... One hour earlier... The chosen ones of the Crest of Imagination trekked through the ice-encased stairs alongside the Mane Six. All the while trying to formulize a plan of action against the newly introduced threat of Icedevimon. The first plan that came into thought was a simple, but efficient, strategy. Guilmon and Charmander would distract him with their fire attacks while Twilight conjured a spell of immobility. Once immobile, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Daniel would swoop in and deal as much damage as possible. Once the digimon broke through the spell, they would retreat within a safe distance, and Guilmon with Charmander would launch their fire attacks once again while Icedevimon tried to recover from his beating. This would ensure his deletion, and also the self-repair of the Breach for Articuno to return, saving the Princesses and all of Canterlot. It's a good plan in theory, now they only had to put it in practice. Daniel slammed his fist against his open palm, "I can't wait to knock him off his icy throne and unto his royal butt." "Hay yeah!" Rainbow Dash agreed, "Brohoof, Daniel!" The two did a modified version of the brofist, the rest rolling their eyes at the silliness of it all. Twilight didn't agree, "This is not a game, this is serious!" She exclaimed. Alyssa twiddled with her fingers, "Maybe Twilight's right, we should be more careful." Madison waved her off, "Nah, we're fine! Our plan is the best! Right Charmander?" "Char, charmander!" The fire red Pokémon replied happily. "Everything will be okay." Ryan answered, "There is twelve of us and only one of him, we got numbers and smarts!" The child exclaimed. Twilight flushed as the compliment, but quickly replied, "Even then, we don't fully understand what Icedevimon is capable of." "Woah!" Applejack yelled as she nearly slipped on the ice. "Careful, the ice is slippery." Fluttershy said as she held on to Applejack to prevent her fall. "Thanks, I'll be more cautious." Applejack responded. "Look," Daniel started, "His name is Icedevimon, so it's safe to assume he has ice related abilities. Just avoid being frozen and we're good." Guilmon laughed, "See? No problems! Let's get going!" The digimon exclaimed. "Ugh, can't you all open your eyes and see how serious this is!?" Twilight shouted in vain. Twilight had a hoof pat her on the back, "Don't worry Twilight, they'll soon sparkle with understanding." Pinkie Pie stated. Twilight narrowed her eyes, "Ha ha, very funny Pinkie." "I sure hope not! Sparkly vampires suck!" Ryan commented. Alyssa turned to him, "No they don't, they're fantastic! So, dreamy..." Daniel groaned, "Stupid books, stupid movies..." "Boys are just jealous." Alyssa muttered. "What are we talking about?" Guilmon questioned in confusion. "Nothing," Both Daniel and Alyssa answered. The Digidestined of Imagination, alongside the Bearers of Harmony, finally reached the top of the icy staircase. After a quiet session of walking through the artic hallways. The group managed to enter the esteemed throne room of Canterlot. They stood at the entrance, glancing around and spotting both Alicorn princesses as ice sculptures, seemingly at the midst of battle. "Princess!" Twilight yelled in concern as she rushed toward them. "Where's Articuno?" Madison questioned, her Charmander standing by her side. "Zero Freeze!" Two small blue beams came rushing down at Twilight's position. "Twilight! Watch out!" Everyone, and pony, screamed. Twilight looked up just to see herself get frozen solid into a icicle. A blue flash surrounding her body as the digital attack encased her being and trapped her within solidified water. Icedevimon came floating down in a proud and majestic matter, laughing evilly, "Hahahaha, that was too easy! Now to deal with the rest of you!" Madison pointed Icedevimon, "Charmander, use flamethrower!" The orange-tinted lizard ran up, and opened his mouth, a line of flame bursting outward, traveling across the throne room toward the white-colored Devimon. The virus-type digimon made a smug smirk, his eyes glowing a blue hue before he launched his Zero Freeze attack once again. The flamethrower and Zero Freeze impacted mid-air, created a gust of steam. "Charmander!" Madison yelled out as she struggled to see through the newly generated fog. "Chaaaaaar!" The Pokémon yelled out in pain. "Frost Claw!" The fire-type Pokémon was sent flying outward, before skidding along the harsh icy floors. His flaming tail limp on the floor, before two more beams shot outward and impacted the fainted Pokémon, encasing all of it except for its tail. "Charmander, no! Return!" Madison shouted in concern as she pointed her pokeball toward her partner, the red beam reaching for the Pokémon, but failing, retracting back within the pokeball. "I can't recall him!" "Applejack, let's get this creep!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, flying at the enemy digimon with great speed and velocity. "Right behind ya!" Applejack agreed as she ran toward Icedevimon. "Fools, you do not understand you're futile endeavors!" The villain shouted, opening his left claw and thrust it forward, stretching all the ways toward Rainbow Dash. "Frost Claw!" The rainbow Pegasus dodged it, but the momentum from her flight was lost and she spun out of control. Crashing into Applejack blow, the two now in a pile of bodies. Icedevimon eyes glowed blue before shooting a light blue beam at the two ponies. "Zero Freeze!" He shouted as his attack froze the two ponies solid. Ryan and Madison clutched on the transformed Daniel's pants, Alyssa and Guilmon close by, the latter who growled menacingly at the Icedevimon while standing protectively in front of his human friends. Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie stood helplessly as their friends became popsicle sticks one by one. Icedevimon floated down, and then landed upon the throne. He stepped forward, slowly, and purposely dramatically, toward the ponies and the Digidestined of Imagination. Guilmon roared at him, his mouth generating a ball of fire that he spit at him, "Pyro Sphere!" He shouted his attack's name. The ball of fire shot forward, but the champion level digimon merely tilted to the side. The pyro sphere flying right past him, and through a glass pane. "Pyro Sphere! Pyro Sphere! Pyro Sphere!" Again and again, Guilmon valiantly, but fruitlessly, fired his main technique at the evil digital monster. Who began to get annoyed at Alyssa's digimon partner and ompted to get rid of him in the quickest way. "Zero Freeze." Guilmon became Frozen Guilmon. "Guilmon!" Alyssa shouted in worry, her legs shaking with fear. Daniel stood protectively in front of young friends, he was the only one left who had any sort of formidable abilities to defeat Icedevimon. He raised his white gloved fist at the villain, his glowing green eyes glaring at him. "Oh, the little human is glaring at me. I'm so afraid." Icedevimon mocked, "Be afraid to this!" Daniel shouted as he lifted off, his legs becoming a ghostly tail as he charged toward the bad guy. Icedevimon laughed at him, "Pitiful child, you do not understand how helpless you are," the digimon flew into the air, before hovering a few feet. His wings suddenly began to flap violently as sharp icicles formed in front of him and shot toward the ghost boy. "Avalanche!" Icedevimon yelled his attacks name. Daniel stopped abruptly, his tail becoming legs once more. He braced himself, closing his eyes as he focused on the feeling of intangibility. It worked, the sharp icicles past right through him, impacting the ground and crushing the ice field. "It's like a ice version of poison sting!" Madison yelled, "Be careful Daniel!" She exclaimed to the older boy. "You can win Daniel!" Ryan cheered, "Good guys always win!" He said with hope. Daniel turned back tangible, and pointed toward the villain in a mocking way, "Ha! You missed! And I thought I had horrible aim!" "'We'll see about that! Avalanche!" Icedevimon yelled once more, his attack firing outward. Daniel smirked, and started to fly toward the virus digimon, turning intangible as he flew. 'Wow, I'm getting the hang of this!' he thought to himself. The halfa approached Icedevimon, and turned tangible just in time to lay a fistful of enhanced strength into the digimon's face. A direct hit made Daniel's smile widen as he lift his other fist and hit Icedevimon's chest. The champion level digimon staggered backward from the power behind the blows. But soon recovered quickly, and struck Daniel with a Frost Claw attack. "Gak!" Daniel clutched his stomach in pain, before he was gripped tightly by the throat and lifted up. The fourteen year old boy reached for his neck, trying to pry Icedevimon's claws off of him. The villain squeezed tighter, getting a weakened sound from Daniel as two white rings of energy appeared around his midsection, and transformed him back into his human form. And here he was. 'I'm going to die... Why? Why didn't I listen?' Daniel thought these words as he struggled against Icedevimon, he felt like his lungs were getting burnt alive due to his need to breath. He had to think of something, even if it was getting increasingly difficult to think as seconds go by. Daniel closed his eyes, and used whatever concentration he had left to turn himself intangible. He did, and managed to get a quick breather as he fell to the ground, before Icedevimon's other arm held in at choke point as the digimon had landed as well. 'God d***it,' Daniel swore in his mind, trying to kick the digimon, but his human strength failed in comparison to his ghost form's own. "And now, child, you will die." "Leave Daniel alone!" cried out the voice of an eight year old, Ryan Chukareth began to beat his clenched fist against the legs of Icedevimon. Daniel Marris looked to his young friend, managing to choke out, "R-R-Ry-an, run!" Ryan shook his head, tears dropping down on to the frozen ground, "No, I can save you! I don't want to see you die!" Icedevimon kicked the child away from him, laughing, "Wait your turn, boy! I will enjoy killing all four of you 'Digidestined' slowly." The devil digital being tightened his grip, getting a broken scream of pain from Daniel, "How does it feel? To have your life slowly slip away? It feels invigorating does it not?" Icedevimon said with a overconfident smug grin. Ryan slammed a fist into the back of Icedevimon's knee, surprisingly causing the digimon to trip. Daniel used this opputunity to slipped out of his grasp and roll away. Stopping just beside the frozen statue that made Rainbow Dash, strugging to get air into his lungs. Daniel looked up toward Ryan, his eyes widening in shock. Ryan's hands were glowing a bright light blue aura of magic, the child screamed as he thrust forward his hands and out came a spray of cold wind. Icedevimon dodged it barely, but his right wing was frozen in ice. "Impossible! How can a mere human do this to me?" He shouted, shocked beyond belief. Icedevimon looked down toward Ryan, his eyes narrowing on a small tag hanging around his neck, a tag that glowed dimly. "Your Crest glows, how? How can you make it glow this early! This cannot be, you four should not be able to let the Crest of Imagination glow so soon!" The villain yelled in defiance. Ryan's eyes widened, as his hands brought up his Crest piece to his face, the tag and Crest glowing dimly before it fell back to its dormant state. "It glowed? What's so special about it glowing?" The eight year old questioned out loud. Alyssa shouted to Ryan, "Get out of there Ryan! He's coming after you!" "Run Ryan, run!" Madison screamed to her friend. Icedevimon roared in rage at the boy, "I'll kill you! You might be the first to make it glow, but you'll also be the last!" Ryan turned to flee, running as fast as his little legs could carry him. Rarity decided enough was enough, and abanded her ladylike attitude to save a friend. Using her telekinetic magic, she started throwing chunks of hard ice at the evil digimon. "Take this you uncouth villain! Nopony harms a child!" Rarity shouted in anger, Pinkie Pie joining in as she started to throw ice cubes at Icedevimon. "Yeah! What she said!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed as she threw the cubes. Icedevimon grew annoyed at being pelted by small ice cubes, he hoveed in the air, "You want to see ice? Here, Avalanche-" *SLAM!* Icedevimon went flying, falling and skidding along the frozen ground because of a gloved white fist slamming straight into his side. The person responsible, Daniel Marris, now Daniel Phantom. Having recollected his breath, and in his Ghost form once more, he would let nobody harm his friends. "Don't you dare lay a single claw on Ryan!" Daniel shouted, "As his babysitter, I am responsible for him." He commented. "Daniel!" Ryan shouted in embarrassment, "That was only for two years!" "Yet it was how both Alyssa and I met you and Madison." Daniel replied, waving his finger to make his point. "Uh guys, bad guy first, talk later!" Madison stated as they all got together. "Right," Daniel nodded, "Can you do that ice spray again, Ryan?" he asked. Ryan nodded, "Sure can, I think... " He faced the direction of Icedevimon, focusing on the strange feeling of energy within him, then his hands glowed with light blue, "So cool... Take this, my super mega-" "Just do it already!" Madison yelled. "Party pooper... Ice Spray attack!" Ryan shouted as a spray of blue rushed outward to Icedevimon. "Zero Freeze!" Icedevimon retaliated. "Now!" Daniel shouted as he flew from an arc toward the digimon, who was occupied with countering Ryan's newest attack. Daniel flew at him, and slammed his fist into the frozen wing that the digimon had. Icedevimon screamed in agony as his wing exploded into data particles, his back side oozing with digital code as he struggled to strike at Daniel. "Why you!" Daniel flew back, "Enjoy the ice age!" "Wha- Nooooooo!" Icedevimon shouted as Ryan's attack, no longer being held back by the Zero Freeze, collided with his whole being. Freezing his body over as he screamed in anguish. Daniel slammed a hard punch into the frozen statue's center mass, causing the digimon to explode into data. "We did it!" Pinkie cheered. Fluttershy, who had hidden behind the battle, came out of hiding, "Is it over?" Rarity nodded, "It is dear, we won." Without warning, a blue bird of majestic beauty flew into the throne room. It looked at them all before screeching loudly in aggression, a charged beam powering up in its beak before... Articuno disappeared, hazing out of existence as the breach repaired itself. "That was too close for comfort," Alyssa commented, her friends and the ponies nodding in agreement. The ice started to shine brightly, then started disappearing in a show of teal colored sparkles in a incredibly fast rate. The ice statues that contained their friends and partners melted and dissipated into nothing, dropping them, including the Princesses, on to the ground safely. "It's like that one movie," Madison said, "Pokémon something, two thousand?" she questioned her knowledge. "Guilmon! You're okay!" Alyssa said, hugging her digimon partner for dear life. "Yep! Can't keep me down Alyssa!" Guilmon stated as he patted the eleven year old's back in comfort. Madison went up to her charmander, patting its head, "You did great Charmander, return and rest, you deserve it," She said, returning her Pokémon into the pokeball. The Mane six joined back together, along with the Princesses, in a celebration of happiness and tears of joy. The four human friends and their partners went up to the Princesses and Mane six with happy grins on their faces. But there happened to be one question on Ryan's mind that he just had to ask. "Princesses," Ryan said, catching everyone's attention, "I don't understand, if the Crest of Imagination is broken into pieces like it is now, it can't work right?" Princess Celestia looked thoughtful, but answered, "Child, what happened?" "During the battle with the bad guy," Ryan started to explain, "I got really upset that Icedevimon was hurting Daniel so much, and I just had to find a way to save him! I knew from Twilight that I had Pony magic, so I thought I can punch him with it!" He said, "And it worked! Then I wanted to use unicorn magic, something with ice to show him how it feels, and then I shot a ice spray out of my hands, that were glowing with a magic aura!" Daniel then said, "During that, his crest was glowing a tiny bit, not like bright, but dimly." Luna answered them, "From what I understand, this Crest of Imagination piece that Ryan has seems to have responded to his emotions and thoughts, then made him be able to accomplish them." Celestia nodded, "I assumed just as much," she looked to the Digidestined, "I'm afraid not even I know everything about the Crest's true capabilities. It is possible, that the Crest of Imagination has just as much power as a regular crest when split into four for each of you. But together, with your friendship, it can grow and give power like never before." Guilmon tilted his head, "So, friendship is power?" Pinkie Pie giggled, "Ah, I love wall breaks..." "We'll discuss this later, in the meantime you can stay in Canterlot. I'm sure it's much more enjoyable without being frozen solid." Celestia joked. Twilight grinned, "I can give you the tour, follow me!" She said happily, skipping toward the doors. The rest of the Mane six followed, and the Digidestined of Imagination shrugged and walked toward the bearer of Magic. But they knew, that the time for fun and games can only last so long, Icedevimon is proof that the situation is serious. Death is real. And they can no longer ignore it. > Chapter 8: Peaceful Fun > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crest of Imagination Chapter 8: Peaceful Fun Three days have passed since the incident with Articuno and Icedevimon in Canterlot Castle, our four human friends: Daniel, Alyssa, Madison, and Ryan, have little progress in training. They were having a break day, as Twilight Sparkle was trying to figure out their next move. Ryan Chukareth, eight-year-old native American magic user, rested under an apple tree as his childish mind wandered. Nearby, Guilmon rested as well. The dinosaur digital monster watching over the eight-year-old as his Digidestined partner did some work with Daniel. He knew that Daniel would protect Alyssa, and so he would protect Ryan as Madison had her own partner to defend her. Ryan opened his eyes, yawning and stretching his arms out against the apple tree's trunk. The eight-year-old looked around and spotted Guilmon's form lying on the ground not to far away. "Oh, hey Guilmon. I didn't notice you there." Ryan greeted. Guilmon smiled, revealing a set of teeth, but Ryan had grown used to the digital dinosaur. "Good afternoon Ryan!" He greeted warmly. The native american child stood up, and went toward the Guilmon, "What are you doing here?" "Napping, it's very relaxing," Guilmon answered. "Well, of course, it is napping!" The eight-year-old replied. "But it gets kinda boring don't you think?" Guilmon sat upright, shaking his head a bit to ease the drowsiness out of him. "Yeah, three days of no fighting. A bit suspicious. And with all the training for the last three days, it's getting repetitive." "Besides the box ghost?" Ryan said with small giggles escaping his voice. Guilmon chuckled, "Besides him, seriously, what's with the obsession with boxes?" "Maybe he just really likes boxes?" The eight-year-old questionably said, "Yeah, the training gets so boring after a while, we need something to do! Something fun!" "Got any ideas, Ryan?" Guilmon questioned. "Mmh..." Ryan placed his fingers to his chin in a thoughtful matter, "Kick the can?" "Don't think we got any cans around here." "Good point... I know! We can help the Cutie Mark Crusaders!" "Cutie Mark Crusaders?" Guilmon seems a bit puzzled, "Who are they?" "They're three fillies that always go on crazy adventures in order to obtain their cutie marks, and so they always have something fun to do!" The digital monster's face grew a wide smile, "If we can all have some fun, that'll be great! Where can we find them?" "I think I know the way, follow me, Guilmon!" Ryan exclaimed happily as he jumped to his feet, and rushed toward a direction, the digimon coming after him. The nine-year-old African-american girl skipped happily along the grass plains of Ponyville park, the small piece that was the Crest of Imagination dangled freely as she moved about. It was at this moment, at the pinnacle of the peaceful atmosphere, that Madison found herself pausing in mid-motion. She looked around her, the wind whistling through the slightly tall grass before a shift caught her attention. She readied herself, or at least, as much readiness a child could muster bar some sort outside of half alien hybrids. Out from the tall grass, came forth a small dog-like creature, covered in green color fur with yellow streaks around its ears, backside, and the tip of its tail. "An Electrike!" Madison exclaimed with surprise, "Oh, I want it so bad! This is like a dream come true!" She said with overwhelming joy, practically hopping in place with excitement. Quickly, Madison tossed forth her partner's pokeball, the device opening up and shooting forth a white energy that released the Charmander from its resting place. "Char! Charmander!" The pokemon cried out its name, looking toward the Electrike and taking a battle stance of sorts. The Electrike charged forward with great speed, before Madison knew it, the wild pokemon had tackled its body right into her Charmander. "Hey, that's no fair!" Madison cried out, "Charmander, counter that with a flamethrower attack!" The small fire-type pokemon reeled his head back, sputters of small flames forming inside its mouth. Charmander then opened its mouth and released a spewing line of heated, orange and red fire. The small dog-like pokemon rushed to the side, avoiding the sea of the flame that had threatened to incinerate it. "Quickly, scratch it!" Madison shouted her command, her first ever pokemon charging with claws to bear. The Electrike countered by attempting to tackle the standing lizard, it something out of a dramatic show, they hit each other at the same time, feet dragging briefly as they passed one another. Madison held her breath, who would fall? No, what kind of question is that of course, Electrike would lose! Indeed, the electric-type pokemon fell forward on the ground. Hastily, Madison reached to her back waist pulling out an empty pokeball and tossing it at the fainted creature. The small girl did not realize she previously had no extra pokeballs, nor did she notice the crest hanging around her neck dimly glowing in response to the child's belief. A flying red and white sphere hit home on the Electrike's body, opening up and absorbing the fainting pokemon in a display of red energy before closing back up when finished. The ball landed on the ground with a light thudding sound, wiggling left and right that caused the nine-year-old to hold her breathing once again in anxious anticipation. It stopped, creating a familiar noise like something cooled at a heavy note. "Yes! I can't believe I caught one!" Madison screamed in excitement, giggling loudly as she swooped up her new Pokemon's capture device and jumped up and down repeatedly. The Charmander besides her almost copying his trainer's actions as it felt the joy of the girl. Madison turned to her starter pokemon, "Let's go show the others, return!" She said, bringing her joyful Pokemon into its home to rest. "I can't wait, I wonder what Ryan would think? Or Alyssa! Daniel would probably just ruffle my hair or something." "Wait, they live in a tree house?" A certain red digimon said in surprise. "No, no!" Ryan waved his hands in denial of that statement, "They just come here to think of new things to do!" The child explained. Guilmon tapped a claw on his muzzle, "What kinds of things?" "New ways to get their Cutie Marks of course, let's go!" Ryan said as he happily ran up to the entrance of the tall tree house. "Why do I get the feeling this has been done before...?" Guilmon said, stopping short of the stairway. "I don't think I can fit through all that, I'm a growing digimon! I'm huge!" Ryan paused in thought, already half way up the stairs. "Hm..." "Hello!" A girlish voice with an accent similar to Applejack's greeted. Both Ryan and Guilmon looked toward the opened doorway of the treehouse, revealing a set of three small fillies staring at them with huge eyes filled with curiosity. "Hi! I'm Ryan!" The native american boy greeted. The three ponies, one with a yellowish coat with a red bowtie on her hair, another with a white fur with a horn, and finally the last with an orange coat, purple hair, and miniature wings. The unicorn greeted first, "I'm Sweetie Bell." The small farmer filly replied next, "And I'm Applebloom!" "Of course, I'm the awesome one, Scootaloo!" The pegasus finished it. Ryan's eyes widened as he saw the three fillies take in deep breaths, quickly he covered his eyes, leaving Guilmon at the mercy of the following deaf causing scream. "AND WE'RE THE CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!" Guilmon fell backward, eyes swirling as his batwing ears rang like someone threw a flash grenade. "I'm dying... Help... What kind of attack is it... Is it a digimon...?" Ryan uncovered his ears, "No, just the Cutie Mark Crusaders." "Um, sorry about that," Sweetie Bell said to the dinosaur before. This caught the young boy's attention, "You aren't scared of Guilmon?" Ryan asked. "Pff, no, he looks kinda like Spike, but bigger and red." Scootaloo waved a hoof off. Applebloom rubbed a hoof across her chin, "I keep getting a sense of Deja vu for some reason..." "Just ignore it," Scootaloo replied to her friend. "Are you here to help us get out Cutie Marks? We'll make you an honorary member!" "Of course!" Ryan said with excitement, "I'll be glad to help get your Cutie Marks!" He glanced back to the recovering Guilmon, "Get up Guilmon!" "Ringing..." The digimon trailed off. The eight-year-old chuckled, "Ignore him, he'll be just fine! So what's the plan for today?" The three fillies grinned.
