After Twilight gets her Castle, she tries a spell that she had come across paths with. While in Canterlot, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna found the same spell. Once they all cast the spell at the same time, a strange thing happens; They all swapped bodies! Princess Luna was now Twilight Sparkle, Princess Twilight was now Celestia, Celestia was Luna. How long are they going to last this way? Will any of the Mane 6 or Spike notice that Twilight isn't acting as herself? Will the guards notice that Princess Celestia is not acting as herself? And Princess Luna was flying around when it was day time!?!? Everything would have been going well, if Trixie didn't come back to Ponyvile for a another match, and if Princess Cadance didn't need help at the Crystal Empire or That Applejack needed help at the barn and Princess Luna said she would help. Not knowing that Discord used his magic to spice up the spell.

One sunny afternoon, Twilight busied herself with unpacking a few things into her new castle. After fighting Tirek, she noticed that she would need some more supplies, and ordered them right away.
"I hate that Tirek burned down my tree house," the purple alicorn said, her expression filled with annoyance at the thought, as the new order had come in. She stared down at the boxes full of restored books that had once lined the shelves in her old tree, but now would be filling up the few spaces that were left in her new home, "Though, it was generous of Princess Celestia to have the spares brought over."
Her eyes scanned them for a few more minutes, until her eyes caught onto something, Hmm? Whats this?
An aura of colorful magic wrapped itself around a scroll. The alicorn examined it carefully, her eyes moving across the page, before they beamed with excitement, "Wow, its a new spell for me to try! Oh, this is so exciting!"
Placing the scroll onto a nearby table, she looked around the cluttered room of boxes, and smiled slightly, "I'll try it after I unpack all this stuff." A hoof tapped her chin lightly, as she continued speaking to no one in particular, "I wish spike was here to help, but he is helping Rarity with her new clothes line, which is a good experience for the baby dragon."
Shrugging her shoulders slightly, her horn glowed once again, as she assembled the the items from the boxes, and put them in their proper places.
- Meanwhile at The Canterlot Castle. -
"Sister what are you doing?" Luna asked, as she walked through her sister's chambers, looking at the pony before her, who sat at a table with a quill pen scribbling on a piece of paper. her expression concentrated on the words that were being written down.
"Oh Luna, my dear sister," the Princess said, looking up from the note she was writing, and gave her younger sibling a smile; before concentrating on the note once again. "I'm writing a message to my most trusted student, Twilight..."
"And pray tell, what is this message you're sending her, sister?" the dark alicorn asked, as she walked over to sit next to her sister on a cushioned pillow, her wings folded back, while her long dark hair wavered about her face. She looked at the message that her sister was working on, and only raised an eyebrow in curiosity, as well as a bit worrisome.
"Its about a spell I found in our old Castle," Celestia explained, watching her sister sit beside her, which made her smile again, before she continued writing.
Luna frowned slightly at the news, and asked with concern, "You took a trip?"
"Yes," The Princess said with a serious expression, "Of what had occurred in the last few weeks, I had the thought of looking around for anything else that might pertain to my dearest students' new home. Unfortunately, all I found was this spell, and it seems to be one of Starswirl the Bearded'. Since Twilight is the one to know about things like this, I have decided to send it to her, and report back anything that will or has happened, when she tries it out."
"But sister, have you thought of the consequences of this spell? We don't know if-" Luna started to say, until the older one interrupted her.
"Which is why I put my trust in Twilight to let me know what comes of this spell, my dear sister. Whatever happens, she will let us know if it is a threat to our kingdom or not." Rolling up the scroll, and wrapping it up with a red ribbon, both Princess' raised to their hooves, and walked onto the balcony, where they over looked Canterlot.
"I found the spell on the floor of Starswirl's spell chambers, which is where he had kept most of his most prized possessions, though sadly, everything that once occupied the place has now vanished." Frowning slightly at the realization, Celestia continued to stare down on Canterlot with a thoughtful expression, "This may not come across us as a coincidence dear sister, but I feel this was meant to be found at such a time."
Luna listened intently, and frowned as well in thought of this new information, "Perhaps Twilight and her friends can take a more in depth look around for another clue, sister? There may be something more to this then we think."
"Good idea, Luna." Celestia said, giving her sister a smile.
"And I don't think you should send the scroll right away," Luna informed, turning away back into the room, with the sound of her sister's hooves on her trail.
"Why do you say that?" The Princess merely curious as well as confused.
As the dark alicorn made her way to the door, she turned her head to give her sister a warning expression, "Try it out first, and see if it is safe at least, and if you haven't found much of it, have Twilight see of the matter. It will be a lot safer on my account."
"You're right, I'll try it, just in case. You don't want to be too sure about things like this." With a small smile, she got to work.
"Alright then, let me know when you're done, I want to go on a walk later on. I have a few things I want to discuss with you," Luna said, sending a smile her sister's way, before leaving the room.
- Meanwhile at Twilight's Castle. -
"Done." The alicorn said with a look of satisfaction at the once half-empty library, to the bright and colorful in its place. She was happy to have done such a great job, even without Spike's help. The dragon hasn't come back yet.
"Well, I think I should try that spell now," Twilight said, trotting through the hallway towards her bedroom, where she left the scroll sitting on her table.
"Hmm, this is so simple. I could do this in a few seconds!, "Twilight exclaimed with a smile, before picking up the scroll, and starting the spell off.
What Twilight didn't know, was that Princess Celestia had the same spell, and they would both be in for a surprise..
- Meanwhile, in Luna's chambers-
"I wish I could spend more time with Celestia, but she is always busy," Luna said, while tapping her chin with her hoof in thought. "If only there was some way, I can spend more time with her..."
Walking up to her bed, she notices a scroll that was fluffed up on one of her pillows, "Hmm? Whats this?" Luna said picking up a scroll on her bed...

Can you try this spell? I have to do something in the garden. Thanks!

Luna raised an eyebrow, "Hmm? Did she think she would be too busy to try it for herself? Oh, well then, I'l have the honor of dong so, if she wishes."
Lifting the scroll with her magic, she began to read the words.
-As Luna also started the spell, that's when the Trouble Started. After the spell was cast, Twilight, Celestia, and Luna were hit with a blue blast of light, knocking them out for a few hours. -
Luna was the first to wake up, "Oh, my head," she said softly, before looking around the unfamiliar place. Standing up on wobbly legs, she wondered where she could be. The room she occupies now, was Twilight's new bedroom, filled with book shelves, a sizable bed, a window look out of, and a few other things such as a bit of furniture littered the place.
She also felt...different...somehow. Her eyes suddenly opened with a realization, and she ran over to a nearby mirror, and stared back at...not her reflection, but, "Twilight!"
Yes, she had been switched with Twilight. The same colorful mane, purple coat, large wings, and the same eyes. She let out a horrible groan, and then ran over to the scroll that had the spell written on it, "It seems this spell was a Body Swap. How am I going to tell sis-"
"Oh no, if I switched bodies with Twilight that means Celestia could help, if she didn't try it out herself..." Looking around with alert now, she notices that some of the windows were open, and she rushes around the room to close them, before hearing a faint knock coming from the front door. Oh no, who could that be?"
She walked to the door cautiously, and opened it slightly, only to see that the two visitors were Spike and Rarity. The two gave her a smile, as she opened the door wider, "Come in, my loy- uh, I mean, Spike and Rarity." Close one...I can't tell them what happened...a problem might arouse between them.
She sent the two a fake smile, before her eyes widened at the gentle hug Rarity gave her, "Well, its good to see you, Twilight."
"A pleasure as well, Rarity, and dear Spike..." Luna answered, giving the two a nervous smile, hoping they didn't catch anything.
"We wanted to invite you to..." Rarity started, but was interrupted by Snails, an orange pony with a light green mane and tail, along with freckles ran into the library with full alert on his face.
"TWILIGHT! TWILIGHT! Trixie is back, and she wants to do another duel! She also has Snips as a prisoner." the pony said, panting heavily from the heavy trot across town.
"Who?" Luna asked, raising an eyebrow at the pony, while Rarity and Spike didn't look a bit amused to the news.
"Don't you remember, Twilight? 'The Great and Powerful Trixie'? You defeated her when she wore that horrid amulet, which took over her mind to take over ponyville?" The fashionista explained, raising an eyebrow, as she wondered why Twilight would forget.
Luna had heard of the pony, and only nodded a bit, before charging out the door, not sure if she'd seen her..."Let us go then." Once out the door, the other three, Snails, Rarity and Spike followed closely after her.
una and the others made their way through town to meet in the center of Ponyville, where Trixie, and the other girls waited for their arrival.
The light blue pony wore her usual outfit, the purple cape and hat with white stars on it. Her baby blue mane complimented the outfit perfectly, as it fell against her face, covering one of her magenta eyes, which only showed off a laughable sight as Luna, and the rest of them stopped in front of her for a breather.
¨Oh hello Twilight and Friends,¨ Trixie said, giving a playful smirk towards them, her eyes landing on the breathless Twilight Sparkle.
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy only frowned at Trixie, as she paced around the purple alicorn, as if expecting her to say anything, while she only raised an eyebrow at the blue pony, wondering what it is that made her so amused of her appearance. Pinkie Pie on the other hand, only bounced around, oblivious of the tension around the group.
¨Wait, where's Applejack?¨ Rainbow Dash asked, raising an eyebrow, as she floated above the ground, with her forearms folded across her chest, her wings flapping lightly to keep her balance; while looking around for her best friend.
¨Oh, she is busy with Princess Luna. Said something about weeds growing in the royal gardens.¨ Rarity said, walking up to stand beside Luna, who only stared at her with a worried expression.
Oh no, Luna said to herself, forgetting that she was supposed to meet up with the apple bucking pony to make sure she got the job done. I totally forgot about our meeting. Well, I can’t back out of this now.. Her eyes stared at Trixie for a moment, as her thoughts continued, But why does this pony want to fight me...well...Twilight? She only gave a shrug, before hearing Trixie’s question.
¨So Twilight, are we going to fight? The great and powerful Trixie does not like to waste anymore time. After you had defeated me from my last encounter of taking over ponyville, Trixie has come back to make an exception of a fight to see who is stronger.¨ The blue pony said, her small white horn glowing a bright silver, as she prepared for the match.
Luna looked a bit uncertain of the decision, and stared at the girls and the baby dragon who only gave her pleaded expressions, only for her to sigh in annoyance, and stand tall, before standing into position, ¨Let’s just get this done and over with.¨ Luna said, concentrating herself, as she had no idea how much power Twilight actually held.
Trixie smirked at Luna, and sent a large blue beam at the Princess, who put a shield before her to block the attack. Growling lightly at the pony, Luna sent her own ray of power, causing it to overpower Trixie’s shield that she put up against herself. The blow knocked her off of her feet, and sent her plummeting into the fountain that sat in the center of the square.
Trixie gasped, as she came up for air, and blushed deeply at the embarrassment, before getting up, and sending another blast of magic towards Luna, who flew out of the way, allowing it to crush a stack of barrels.
¨Have you no shame to go up against a PRINCESS!¨ Luna asked, dodging another ray of power from the pony below her, who growled with anger, her face reddening at the question.
¨You were the one who destroyed my life, Twilight Sparkle! I will have my revenge!¨ Trixie shouted loudly, as a rope suddenly wrapped around Luna, trapping her wings, which made her fall to the ground with a soft thud.
¨You think this can hold me?¨ Luna asked, smirking slightly, as an aura of purple magic lifted the ropes off, and was soon returning to its owner with great speed, as Trixie turn and ran. The ropes grabbed at her ankles, and pulled her back towards Luna, who seemed satisfied as she watched Trixie dangle from the ropes.
Letting her go, the blue pony was dumped back into the fountain, causing some of the girls to laugh in amusement, especially Spike who rolled around on the ground with tears spilling from his eyes.
Trixie had just about enough of the games, and took the rope back from Luna, and turned it into a snake, and flung it at Luna. Luna stood back in surprise, not expecting this to happen, and watched the snake carefully as it swayed back and forth, getting ready to attack the purple alicorn.
¨Come on Fluttershy, do something.¨ Rainbow Dash exclaimed, seeing that Luna couldn’t the snake from attacking her, and turned to the shy pony, whose eyes only widened in fear.
¨Why me?¨ Fluttershy asked, peering from behind her pink bangs, her blue eyes staring fearfully at the snake, which made another dash towards Luna.
¨Because you are good with animals,¨ Rainbow Dash said, rolling her eyes at the obvious question.
¨But I don't take care of snakes,¨ Fluttershy said, watching Luna dodge the snaps of the snakes poisonous jaws.
¨Can’t you do your stare on it then?¨ Rainbow Dash said, staring back at the sight of the snake snapping at her friend.
¨I can't! I'm too scared..¨ Fluttershy continued to say, as she peeked a bit from her hair, cringing at the snake, and thinking of nothing to do but cowar for it to go away.
¨Oh Brother,¨ the colorful mare said, rolling her eyes, and took off into the air to help some kind of way.
By now, Luna was getting tired of the snake, and dodged another snap, as Trixie asked with a smirk on her face, ¨So do you surrender Twilight Sparkle?¨
¨Ä Princess does not give up on a fight...¨ Luna said, glaring at the blue pony, while she whispered, Though this isn’t the first time I’ve fought...
¨Come on Twilight, you have a chance to admit defeat!¨ Trixie said, using her magic to transform the snake into a large cobra.
Luna couldn’t respond at the sight of the beast, and was lifted into the air by her waist, with its tail. Its large green eyes stared into hers with hunger, as it hissed lowly. Thinking a bit, Luna tried the teleporting spell, and was soon out of the snake’s grasp.
¨Try this!¨ Luna yelled, blasting a beam of light onto the cobras head, and ran it down his body, cutting it in half. Once the snake turned back into the rope, Luna lifted it, and wrapped it around Trixie, and sent her to the wall of an old house, which crumpled against the harsh weight of the blue pony.
¨AH!¨ Trixie exclaimed, as the attack to her by surprise, and grunted lowly at the damage she got, and made with the house.
¨Do you give up, Trixie?¨ Luna asked, floating over towards the defeated pony, who climbed out of the rubble, her mane and clothes a wrinkled mess.
Her eye twitched at the sight of Twilight standing before her, with a look of triumph, and growled, as she started her way out of town, ¨This isn’t the last time you’ve heard of The Great and Powerful Trixie! I shall be back!¨
¨You did it Twilight! You beat Trixie’s flank!¨ Rainbow Dash exclaimed with a few air punches, as she flew around Luna, before hugging her tightly, causing Luna to feel surprised from the affection.
¨You won! Lets have a victory party!!¨ Pinkie Pie shouted, bringing out her party cannon from nowhere.
¨Yeah, you did great, Twilight,¨ Spike said, nudging the alicorn’s hoof who could only blush lightly at the thought.
¨You’re the best Twilight..¨ Fluttershy whispered, giving Luna a smile.
¨Good Job Twilight. Of course I knew that you would win this fight with Trixie, though I think that pony has a problem of not getting a clue of what she’s up against,¨ The fashionista said, perfecting her hair, as she watched the blue pony run off.
¨Thank you all, but I have to go now to see what Apple JAck and Twi- I mean, Luna are up to...¨ Luna said quickly, getting strange glances from Twilight’s friends, and soon flew off back to Canterlot to find Apple Jack and Twilight, hoping they didn’t start anything yet.
The girls all said their goodbyes, and only shrugged at the short slip up, which Luna hoped they didn’t catch.
I have to get to Twilight and fast. Who knows what she’s doing with my powers... Luna thought biting her lip gently at the thought, and then soared through the sky, eager to get back to the castle, hoping nothing went wrong.
An open window faced the royal chambers, as a drift of the wind blew through, allowing the curtains to dance in its soft melody. A dark figure littered the bed that sat a few feet away from the window, and the blowing wind, one with dark wings, a moon for a cutie mark, and long flowing dark hair. She seemed to be sleeping, while her hair continued to flow along her face silently. A small moan escaped her lips, as she now stirred awake.
Sitting up, and opening her large dark eyes, she looked to and fro of the unfamiliar room she occupied, and suddenly felt a pain in her head. A hoof soon rubbed the spot, as the Princess spoke with a soft groggy voice, ¨Ouch my head. That blast of magic sure took me out for some time.¨ Celestia said, groaning once again at the ache in her head.
She suddenly gasped softly, and looked at herself, No... Running towards the mirror in the room, she shook her head with disbelief, No...it can’t be...Luna?
She looked around the room frantically, her face burning at the realization of being in her younger sisters’ body, ¨I can’t believe this!¨
She then remembered the scroll, and found it lying on the bed, fluffled on the pillow, and soon scanned her eyes over it, ¨This was a body swap spell. Perfect.¨
Sitting on her flank now, she pondered on what to do next. She was supposed to go off to the Crystal Empire to help Princess Cadence with something, but now that she was stuck in Luna’s body, she felt it impossible.
She then came to a conclusion, ¨If i'm in Luna's body, that means she must have been transported to mine,¨ as she spoke, her hoof stroked her chin in thought, and she was soon up on her hooves again, ¨I have to get to her before she leaves,¨ the Princess said, before trotting out of the bedroom, and made her way down the hall with speed.
She stopped short in front of an open window to see that her body was leaving the palace with Princess Cadence and her guards from the Crystal Empire. Oh no, Luna! she gasped, and ran to the window, ¨My dear sister, wait!¨ she yelled, looking at the crew worriedly.
Celestia’s head turned to stare down at Luna, and said nervously, ¨I can't stop your hi- I mean, sister. I have to leave I'll see you tonight.
¨But-¨ Celestia was cut off by who she thought was Luna flying off with Princess Cadance and guards.
Frowning now, she started her way back to Luna’s room, thinking hard to herself, I have to find Twilight she might know what to do about this.
As soon as Celestia went back into Luna's room she looked at her sister's Calendar and saw that she was going to help Applejack with something she needed.
¨I guess I have to go to Apple Acres for Luna’s sake, since I won’t catch her at this rate. I will talk to Twilight a bit later on this matter, but right now, duties comes first.¨
Racing out of the room now, she made it to the open window, and took flight towards Ponyville, and being though it was still morning, she wasn’t due until the afternoon
- Thirty minutes later -
Celestia flew overhead of a large field of apple trees, and took in the sweet scent of the ripe fruit. Smiling, she was proud to know that the Apple Family was doing their job. Landing in front of the entrance, she folded the dark wings, and trotted along the farmland, looking around for the orange pony she was supposed to meet.
Coming up to the house of which the Apple Family accompanied, Celestia knocked on the door a couple of times, and heard Granny Smith’s soft muttering as she made her way to the door, ¨I'mma comin, hold your horses,¨ the old timer said, opening the door to see the young Princess standing there with a slight smile.
¨I'm here to speak with Applejack, Granny Smith,¨ Celestia said, staring at the old pony, who gave her a smile.
¨Come on in, its almost breakfast anyway.¨ Granny Smith said, moving out of the way for the Princess to walk in.
Once inside, Celestia closed the door behind her with a glow of her horn, and looked around the place, as she was taken to the dining room of the house, just in time to see that the breakfast was laid out on the table.
¨So Princess Luna, I haven't seen you in a while. What brings you here?¨ Granny Smith asked, picking up a bowl of applesauce that was on a tray of food, and placed it on the table, before looking up at the Princess for an expected answer.
¨I'm suppose to help Applejack with something, since she said it was something urgent.¨ Celestia responded, curious too of what the honest pony wanted from her little sister.
¨Ah yes, she had talked to me about that. She needs you to help her with some type of spell.¨ Granny smith replied, moving along to the kitchen to pick up a few more dishes.
¨A spell?¨ Celestia asked, raising an eyebrow, feeling that this might lead to trouble.
¨As Applejack told you yesterday, she found a spell hidden in one of the apple trees, while she went apple bucking. You told her it was a bug remover spell, and she wanted you to try it out on the bugs that makes the apple trees bad...,¨ the old apple explained, wondering why Luna didn’t remember.
Celestia thought for a few moments. My sister gave me no news about this, and knowing it now, I wonder what it was that she was thinking. Nodding a bit at the thought, she continued to think some more silently to herself, I’ĺl have to talk to her about it later. Staring back at Granny Smith, she watched with curiosity as the old mare rung the bell, signaling that breakfast was served. No sooner had she rung it, three ponies ran in, full of leaves, and mud on their manes, as well as their hooves, all flashing bright smiles at the scent of food.
¨Y’all youngins’ go wash up, and get to the table, breakfast is served!¨ Granny said, showing her teeth in a half smile, before she trotted off slowly to the dining hall.
¨Howdy Princess,¨ Applejack, one of the ponies who ran in said, tilting her hat, before taking it off, and hanging it on a coats’ rack.
¨Good morning, Applejack.¨ Celestia said softly, smiling at the pony, who walked off to wash up for the surprised event.
The other two ponies, Applebloom, and Big Mac stood off to the side, examining Luna for a bit wondering why she was out at such an early time.
Celestia felt their eyes on her, and turned to give them a small smile, ¨Good to see you two as well.¨
¨You too, Princess!¨ Applebloom exclaimed, and ran off after Apple Jack.
¨Eeyup.¨ was Big Mac’s usual words, before he dismissed himself as well.
- At the breakfast table -
¨So, after we eat, are we going to try the spell Luna?¨ Applejack asked curiously, before she dug into a plate full of food that sat in front of her.
Celestia looked a bit worried, and only gave the orange mare a slight nod, ¨Yes, I'll just...wait outside until you’re done.¨ ¨That’s no problem, I’ll be out in a few minutes.¨ Applejack said with a grin, before going back to her food.
Celestia went outside to have a look around, and while she waited, she began to think to herself of the upcoming events she would have to continue with. Her mission was to find Twilight, and let her know what has happened so far.
The truth is, she was worried of how long this spell would last, and when it would wear off. She was starting to get a little uncomfortable with her sister’s body, it just seemed so strange to be in somepony else’ skin, especially if it was a sibling.
¨I wonder why my voice sounds like Luna's, when I'm in her body.¨ the Princess whispered, before continuing, ¨I'm going right to Twilight's place after this. I need to get back to Canterlot.
- A few minutes later Applejack came out with the spell. -
¨So, Luna, are ya sure Princess Celestia won't mind ya trying this spell on the apple trees?¨ Applejack asked handing the spell to the Princess, which glowed in a dark blue aura, allowing the Princess to take it, and look it over.
¨Are you sure you want me to do this?¨ Celestia asked, scanning over the scroll, before raising an eyebrow at Applejack wearily.
¨Ah am and Ah’m ready Princess.¨ Applejack said, standing at attention, while she watched with a bit of curiosity to see how this would turn out.
¨May I ask why you want me to try this for you?¨ Celestia asked, staring at Applejack with an expression of uncertainty.
¨Ah figured that if what it says is true, then you can help me out with these bugs that keep attacking my trees and eating up most of the apples on the farm.” Applejack explained, looking around the field, at most of the trees she had already emptied, and some which still needed some work on them.
Looking back at the Princess, Applejack wore a worried expression, “If this continues, we won’t have our big bake sale that’s supposed to be in a few more weeks. We’ll be out of apples.”
Celestia nodded in agreement. IF these bugs weren’t stopped, there won’t be much of any product that were made from apples. Especially, apple cider... “That would be terrible. Alright, show me the are of where you first saw them appear. Maybe if we find out where they’re hiding, we can be rid of them, once and for all.”
Applejack nodded, and the two of them ran off through the apple orchard to find out where these creatures were staying. It didn’t take long, since a familiar buzzing sound was heard by Applejack, and the two stopped in the middle of the apple orchard to listen. A deep frown made its way onto Applejack’s face, as she listened carefully to where the noise was coming from.
Celestia listened hard too, looking from to and fro to find out where the bugs could be hiding. Coming around the corner of one of the trees, the saw a gruesome sight. Apple cores. They were spread all over the place, trees were knocked down, and hideous small bugs, worse than the parasprites that had attacked the village some time ago, flew all over the apples. Their bodies were an ugly brown, with big red eyes, small wings, and six short legs.
The two ponies stopped in their tracks, and stared at the sight of these creatures, and Celestia soon turned to Applejack, and asked with a worried expression, “Are these the bugs you were talking about?”
Applejack could only nod, and stared at the bugs eating the apple cores, and chipping away at the leaves on the fallen trees. Celestia then studied the spell that continued to glow with the dark aura, and nodded, knowing what she must do, “Here I go.”
Standing in sight of the bugs, she read over the words, and cast the spell onto the pile of bugs. A large swirl of dark magic swirled around the Alicorn’s horn, as her eyes glowed a bright white, which concentrated on the bugs in front of her, and with a flick of her head, the magic wrapped around each of the bugs, trapping them in a dark bubble.
Applejack stood back, and watched the Princess work her magic, and looked a bit worried, as each of the bugs were trapped. With a small grunt, Celestia lifted her head, and cast another spell on the small bubbles, each one disappearing from sight.
Once that was done, the spell was over, and Celestia lay panting on the ground, before Appljack came, and helped her up, “That was amazing, Princess.” The orange pony said, giving Celestia a smile.
“Yes, well, it did take a while to get the spell right,” Celestia commented, and looked around to see that there were no more bugs left. “Well, it seems my job here is done. There should be no more of those creatures around here anymore. I made sure I put up a bug barrier over the orchard to protect your trees.”
Applejack looked relieved, and grateful of the generous thought, and bowed in thanks, “That was mighty kind of you, Princess. Since you’re done here, I can get back to my apple bucking.”
Both ponies began their trip back to the farmhouse, and Celestia continued to listen, as Applejack continued speaking her thoughts, “I also think you should take the spell back with you, so nothing bad happens.”
Celestia nodded at the suggestion, and smiled, before remembering what she must do after she leaves the farm, “By the way, do you know where Twilight is?”
Applejack stopped in front of the farmhouse, and raised an eyebrow at the Princess, as she thought of her question, and nodded with a smile, “Last time I saw her, she was busy unpacking the new supplies that was delivered to her castle. You might find her there.”
Celestia nodded, and began to fly off, as she thanked the pony, “Thank you, Applejack. I might see you later on tonight.”
Applejack tilted her hat, and smiled, “My pleasure, your highness. Hope to catch you later.”
As those words were spoken, Celestia flew off towards Twilight’s castle, unaware that her most trusted student was somewhere in the Crystal Empire with Princess Cadence.
A small painful groan pierced the silent air of the huge bedroom of the Princess Celestia, as the tall alicorn woke up from the sudden daze that swept over her.
“Ugh, what happened? The last thing I remember is...” the alicorn said softly, her blue eyes opening slowly, only to regret it as the bright lights flashed through her eyes, causing her to close them again. She realized that her voice wasn’t the same.
Wait...I casted a spell, if I remember correctly...and... Frowning now in thought, the alicorn stood up from the spot she laid on, which was a small cushioned pillow, and made her way over to a scroll that sat on the table across the room.
With the magic of her horn, she managed to pick it up slowly, and read over the spell, before realizing what it was, “Wait a second! This is a BODY SWAP Spell.”
Moving over to the mirror now, she stared back at... “PRINCESS CELESTIA!?” The pony was shocked, and sat down on her flank in panic.
“Oh no, that means...if I'm in Celestia's body, then she is in mine!” Her eyes became giant saucers, as she stared at the reflection of Celestia staring back at her. The long wavy hair of light colors, sparkling, as well as her tail. The sun cutie mark, and her large horn and wings. “I better find a spell that can cure this dilemma.”
She then realized another thing, ”Wait...I’m Princess Celestia now...ugh...can anything get any worse?!” she yelled in frustration to nopony in particular, before looking up as a couple of guards ran in.
“Is everything alright, your highness?” one of the guards asked, giving the Princess a raised eyebrow.
Twilight stared at the two guards with a shocked expression, before sighing softly, Right. They think I’m Celestia. I have to roll with this until I find a reverse spell.
She gave the two guards a nervous smile, and waved a hoof at them, “Yes, I'm fine. I just had a bad dream.” She explained, getting a confused glance from the two, before they only shrugged in response.
“We have news, your highness. Princess Cadance is here to speak with you.” One of the guards said, waiting for her response.
Twilight was excited to know that Princess Cadence was here to see her...well, to see Celestia, which made her wonder why. Nodding at the guards, she dismissed them, “Alright. Tell her I'll see her in a few minutes.”
“Yes, your highness.” The guards bowed deeply, before leaving the room, closing the doors of the chambers once again.
After the guards left, Twilight looked around the room for a few more minutes, and placed the scroll back on the table. She had to keep in mind that she wasn't Twilight anymore, and this was on an important matter for Celestia. Nodding at the thought, she gave the room a once over, and then made her way to the throne room, where she found Princess Cadance and her guards waiting for her.
“Celestia, its good to see you again,” Cadance said, giving the Princess a gentle hug, before smiling softly at her.
The Alicorn was the same as Twilight remembered her. She looked alot healthier too. Her coat was pink, with the sign of love as a cutie mark on her flank. The same colored hair of yellow, pink, and purple, and her large wings with a tint of purple on each tip.
“It’s always a pleasure to see you, Candance,” Twilight said, knowing it may be something along the lines of what the Princess would say, and returned the hug that was given to her.
“Guards, you’re dismissed.” Cadance commanded, and watched as the few guards that came with her bowed, and left to keep an eye on the carriages outside.
Turning back to Celestia, Cadance gave her a worried glance, and began to explain the reason of her visit, “I need help at the empire. It’s an urgent emergency, so I had to come to you first personally to let you know what’s going on.”
Twilight nodded, a look of deep thought appearing on her features, as she wondered what it was that was wrong. “What’s the problem?” Twilight asked, giving the alicorn a raised eyebrow.
“One of my guards tried to assassinate me a few days ago when I was looking over preparations for a ball in the throne room, and I was saved by another guard named, Flash Sentry. The guard is imprisoned now, and I do wonder why he had the thought to do such a thing. Also, I would like to know how to deal with this guard, and how should I reward Flash for saving my life?” the Princess explained, showing an expression of deep thought, before smiling with a bit of relief, feeling grateful of Flash’ bravery.
Twilight had to think about this. First off, like Cadance said, Why would a guard try to assassinate her? What made him do this? And is he working for someone other than Cadance? Questions that Twilight couldn’t answer made her more suspicious of Cadance’ protection.
She stared at Cadance, and started pacing the floor, “This sounds very dangerous, and very serious. I think we should discuss this matter further at the Crystal Empire. Maybe look around for clues as to why this has happened. As for the guard, he should be put on trial, so we may figure out his reasons for trying to assassinate you.”
Cadance nodded, and turned to the doors, “I agree with you. I will wait outside in my carriage for you to prepare for the visit.”
Twilight nodded as well, and made her way back to Celestia’s chambers to prepare a message for Spike, I need to get a message to Spike. He needs to know what’s going on, and about this whole mix up of this spell. Her trots started out slow, and before she knew it, she was running into the room quickly.
Picking up a piece of ancient paper, Twilight’s horn glowed, as she started writing the message quickly with the golden quill pen Celestia had used not too long ago:
Dear Spike this Is Twilight I need you to find me a cure to a body swap spell. I’ll explain everything else later. P.S Don't fail me
Afterwards, she sent the message, along with the spell that was attached to it, so Spike had an idea of what she was talking about. Alright, now to the carriage. Twilight thought, making her way out of the room, and down the hall to meet Cadance.
Once she was settled into the carriage of her own, she commanded that they get going. Cadance nodded, and the two were both lifted into the air, and was off to the Crystal Empire.
They didn’t get far, as Luna had appeared out of nowhere, and was staring at them fly off with a panicked expression, ¨My dear sister, wait!¨ she yelled, looking at the crew worriedly.
Twilight turned to stare down at Luna with surprise, not knowing it wasn’t Luna at all, and said nervously, ¨I can't stop your hi- I mean, sister. I have to leave. I'll see you tonight!” The carriages then were out of sight, and Twilight stared at Cadance, who gave her a raised eyebrow.
Applejack put away the last batch of apples that she had just bucked from the trees, and sighed deeply, before wiping the sweat off her forehead, and placed her hat back on her head. She had watched Celestia walk off to find Twilight, and had soon followed along, while Celestia decided to give the truth about her situation.
¨So is that why you used the spell? Ah was starting to wonder why you were acting strange.¨ Applejack said, giving Celestia a raised eyebrow.
¨Yes Applejack, and I’m glad I can count on you to keep this between us, at least after I find Twilight, she can reverse the spell. She has reverse spells for almost anything,¨ The Princess said, only hoping that she was right. She may not visit Twilight often, and check out the library herself, but she knew her trusted student would come through with anything when it comes to dealing with spells.
¨In that case, good thing we are here,¨ Applejack said, as the two had approached Twilight’s castle, which Applejack in turned, knocked on the front door.
The door opened quietly, and the two creatures gave each other a side glance, before being grabbed by their necks, and brought into the place, making them both gasp in shock.
¨Hey what’s the big de-¨ Applejack started to exclaim, before Spike sent a finger to her mouth to keep quiet. Whispering now, Applejack asked, ¨What’s going on?¨
¨Be quiet Applejack or you will be heard by Twilight.¨ Spike said, looking at the staircase worriedly.
¨Or if it is Twilight,¨ Rainbow Dash murmured, her forelegs folded across her chest, as she floated in the air, her wings flapping aimlessly, while her eyebrows narrowed in an expression of suspicion.
¨Ah don’t understand, what do ya mean?¨ Applejack asked, giving a worried glance towards Celestia, before staring at Rainbow Dash, who decided to set foot on the ground for once that day.
¨She is in the library, trying to find a reverse spell, and almost turned me into something unpleasant.¨ Spike explained, folding his arms now, and looking annoyed.
¨Well thats just silly. Why would Twilight need a reverse spell?¨ Applejack said, until her eyes widened, and a hoof tapped her chin lightly in thought, ¨Unless...¨ Her eyes looked up at Celestia, who was in Luna’s body, and she suddenly wondered if Twilight was looking for a reverse spell to put Celestia and Luna back together, then that means she’s fine, right?
She remembered what Celestia had explained, and now it only made her brain hurt just thinking about what could have happened.
¨Unless what darling?¨ Rarity said, giving the honest pony a worried expression, as she walked up to her...
¨Unless she has been body swapped!¨ Applejack finally said, trying to come to some conclusion of the whole matter.
Everypony there, but Celestia, said what they all thought, ¨What!?¨
¨What do you mean AJ?¨ Rainbow said, wondering where her friend was going with this decision.
¨Ah reckon we need to get in there to find out what’s really going on...¨ Applejack said, nodding in thought, as she frowned slightly, thinking that she should at least get the facts straight. Not saying that she didn’t believe Celestia, but she had a feeling something else was going down.
Wait this makes no sense... Celestia thought, as she frowned at the explanation Applejack just gave, If Twilight’s been body swapped, would that mean that...? Celestia looked at the staircase with wide eyes, and then took off towards the library.
¨CELESTIA, WAIT!¨ Applejack exclaimed, before trotting after the alicorn.
¨CELESTIA!?!¨ Everypony yelled in shock.
¨Come on, we have to catch them,¨ Rainbow Dash said, suddenly zooming up the staircase, leaving a trail of a rainbow behind her, while the other girls quickly, gently followed.
¨Oh my,¨ Fluttershy said softly, wondering what was going on.
Spike had already made it to the top, and once the others joined him, they each peered into the room, and gasped to see a wall of scrolls facing them.
¨So, how are we going to find them?¨ Fluttershy asked, flying softly over the scrolls, looking around for any familiar faces. Applejack had already trotted quickly across the large room of bookshelves, and scroll-littered floor, to hear voices outside an open window on the far wall. Raising an eyebrow, she trotted closer to get a look, and found Luna(Twilight’s body) and Celestia(Luna’s body) both standing on the small balcony both seemed to be in deep conversation, until interrupted when the others made their way out.
¨Celestia, Twilight, there you both are, mind telling us what’s going on?¨ Applejack asked, looking from Twilight to Celestia, who both seemed a bit nervous to answer.
Neither of them had nothing to say, and the silence grew thick with an awkwardness until a loud shout came from above, ¨SPIKE, DID YOU GET MY MESSAGE?¨ Everypony looked up to see Celestia’s coach flying towards the castle, and sitting on it looking worried, was...Celestia?!? She had just came back from the Crystal Empire from helping Cadance with the assassin problem. Applejack looked confused now, and definitely wanted to know what was going on. Rainbow dash and Rarity gave each other side glances, while Fluttershy hid behind her hair, hoping that this nightmare would be over, and she could finally wake up. Pinkie Pie on the other hand, was busy waving wildly at Twilight, who did her best not to blush while finally landing on the balcony in one piece. The small dragon walked up to Twilight, and asked in a worried voice, not answering her question, ¨Twilight, is that you?¨
The alicorn now blushed a deep shade of red, and she nodded, before staring at her body and Luna’s with a raised eyebrow. Her friends suddenly had dropped jaws at the realization that these three bodies’ had been swapped.
Applejack couldn't take much longer, ¨Alright, hold it! Which one a y’all is who?¨
¨I’m Celestia,¨ Luna’s body said, giving them all a nod, before Luna continued in Twilight’s form, ¨And I’m Luna...and the one in my sister’s body is indeed Twilight. Although, I thought it was just I who had cast the spell, but came to find out that it was all of us three.¨
The other two alicorns nodded in agreement, even though they didn't see each other cast the spell, it was the only explanation as to how they ended up in each other’s bodies. ¨Ah guess that explains it...¨ Applejack said, suddenly smiling at the three, as they all walked up and stood by one another.
The other girls still looked a bit puzzled, and Rainbow Dash just had to ask, ¨So, that wasn't Twilight who kicked Trixie’s flank this morning? It was Luna??¨ Luna nodded, before staring at Twilight, who didn't look at all happy, but knew that she would talk to her later about it.
She wanted to know what Trixie was doing back in town, but there was going to be time for that later. ¨That. Was. AWESOME!¨ Rainbow Dash then exclaimed, before doing a double loop in the sky, before coming back down with a bright smile.
¨And just to think that it was Princess Celestia at the apple farm then Luna. Ah thank you kindly for your help, Princess...¨ Applejack said, tilting her hat, before Celestia, who couldn't help blushing.
¨Its’ alright, Applejack, the good news is that the problem was taken care of.¨ Celestia said finally, while her face tuned down a it.
¨So Spike, have you found the Reverse spell yet?¨ Twilight asked, walking into the library finally, only to stop short at the big mess, ¨What happened here?¨
Spike began picking up the jumbled scrolls, before chuckling nervously, ¨It got a bit messy since Luna was trying to find the spell, but don’t worry, I found it. Should be around here somewhere.¨
The three alicorns began searching for it, while cleaning up the mess of scrolls with their magic, until Spike found the right one. ¨Found it!¨ he exclaimed, holding it in the air, which Twilight took from him quickly to look it over.
¨Good job, Spike,¨ she said, smiling at him, which made him smile back, as he watched her place the spell in the middle of the floor, while the other two alicorns made a small circle around it.
¨It would be safe if everyone left the room while we did this, so we won’t have this accident again,¨ suggested Celestia, who got an agreement nod from the other two..
After everyone had left the room, including Spike, the three got started on the spell, and only in a few minutes, were they swapped back into their right bodies.
- A few hours later-
¨So, how do you think this spell could have did this?¨ Spike asked, as he poured Twilight some tea into her teacup, getting a small frown in thought from her, before she thanked him and took a small sip of the hot beverage.
¨Well, if my theory is correct, I think somepony must have done something to the spells, but I don't know for sure.¨ She said, the thoughtful expression still on her face.
After the three had gotten their bodies back, the whole group decided to stay at Twilight’s castle to have some tea, since they knew there was alot to explain.
¨Hello everypony,¨ A cheerful voice said, startling the group as they looked up to see the creature of Chaos stand before them in a dressed up suit and tie, along with a pipe in his mouth, which blew pink bubbles. He had the same distorted body of a lion’s paw, a ram’s horn, goat feel, a dragon’s tail, and the distorted eyes which looked around at the small group with a laughable gleam. Everyone only looked at him with a suspicious eye, before Fluttershy interrupted the silence.
¨Hello Discord, I have not seen you all day,¨ The yellow mare said, giving him a bright smile Disappearing from his original spot which was on the rug next to the door, Discord chuckled, before appearing behind Fluttershy, and poking her nose lightly, as he answered her question, ¨Well I was kinda busy with...a little something...¨ his voice trailed off, as he gave a playful smirk towards, Celestia and Twilight who didn’t look amused of his presence.
Not long after his arrival, did Luna and Rainbow Dash walk back into the room, ¨Hey everypony, guess what!¨ The blue mare asked with excitement on her face.
¨What now, Rainbow Dash?¨ Applejack asked, taking her eyes off of Discord for a few seconds to giver Rainbow Dash a small glance.
¨Trixie is in jail for challenging a Princess.¨ Rainbow Dash said, smirking slightly, before noticing the God of Chaos hiding in a teacup, acting as though he were taking a bath in it, before glaring her eyes at him.
¨It was something I had been thinking about for a while,¨ Luna put in, as she stared at Discord now with a glare of her own, once he pulled on Pinkie Pie’s tail, and acted as though he were innocent of the matter. ¨Anyways, Celestia and I should get going. We have a big day tomorrow,¨ the dark alicorn explained, while keeping her eye on Discord, as her and Celestia prepared their departure.
¨Before you leave, I just have one thing to say...¨ Discord finally said after a few moments of silence, while floating over the group.
¨And that is?¨ Celestia asked, glaring at the creature, as she felt ready to attack at any moment.
¨How did you like my spells?¨ Discord asked softly, fiddling with his clawed fingers, while he chuckled darkly at the three. Twilight, Celestia and Luna all looked like they saw a ghost pony, not sure if they heard him right.
¨HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Your faces are priceless.¨ Discord said, laughing up a storm.
¨You mean, you made the spells and made them go through the body swap?¨ Applejack asked, standing up and glaring at the laughing Discord.
¨Yes! It was the least I could do since Fluttershy didn't need my help anymore, and I needed something do...¨ Discord said, floating around the three alicorns once they came through, each of them glaring angrily at Discord now.
¨YOU DID WHAT!¨ They all yelled in anger and unison.
Discord stopped laughing, and was now smirking at the amusement of seeing them angry. ¨It was just a joke,¨ Discord said, floating on a cotton candy cloud, as the three started to trot towards him.
¨A JOKE?!?!¨ They all screamed again, feeling ready to blast him out of the castle, as their horns glowed brightly, while the other girls and Spike glared at him, even Fluttershy, who was disappointed in him. ¨Yes...don’t tell me you all fell for it...¨ Discord said suddenly, acting as if he was the innocent one.
¨DISCORD!¨ The three shouted, before they chased him out of the house with his magic, as he continued to laugh at the sight of three angry alicorns flying after him.
