> A Bond Carved In Blood > by MajorFrostwing > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Part 1: Vampiric Tendencies > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Bond Carved In Blood Part 1: Vampiric Tendencies By: Major Frostwing I awoke early into the night it was strange to wake up so early. I could still see the final rays of sun fade from view as I glanced out of my "Bed". I decided to get my night started right as I climbed out of bed moving through my room changing into a new suit. Hey gotta stay classy no matter the occasion. I went to my fridge pulling out a can of juice and a bag of liquid I pulled a glass off of my counter emptying the bag into the glass before adding the juice. As I took the first sip of the liquid I felt satisfied for the first time in days. "Strange." I muttered as I downed the rest of the drink. "Maybe I will sleep the rest of the night and tomorrow's day." I yawned walking back over to my bed crawling inside. Sliding the lid over the bed sealing myself off from the rest of the world I drifted off into a dreamless sleep. Little did I know how painful my wake up was going to be. ---------------------------------- I heard a loud thump on top of my bed which is strange no one should be in my home. I saw the lid being lifted up off of my bed when I felt the sun hit my skin. I yelled in pain as I grabbed the handles on the inside of my casket closing it not letting it be opened again. "What in tartarus there is someone in there." I heard a female say albeit muffled. "What in tarnation are you blabbin on about Dash why would someone sleep in a coffin in the middle of a field." ... Excuse me did she just say... in the middle of a field... and from what I felt it had to be the middle of the day. "Let's take it to my house we can observe it there." I felt a strange static cover my body as the casket was lifted off of the ground. After a short while The static disappeared and I felt the coffin tap the ground I continued to hold tight onto the handles allowing no entry to my bed. "Sir can you please come out we would just like to speak to you." I heard a regal voice ask I slowly moved the lid seeing that I was indoors now. I moved the lid off completely slowly sitting up in the room. I let out a yawn from what felt like my lack of sleep. I noticed that there were 6 women in the room. The first woman to my right was a short woman with glasses. She wore a purple suit that spoke volumes on authority she seemed to be a scholar in my eyes due to the fact she was carrying a book with her. Her hair was black with two separate tones of purple in them but what truly caught my eye was the horn on her forehead and the lavender wings on her back. Strange creature but I really can't say much. The next woman I saw was slightly taller with a more slim build to her. She wore what looked like a training suit it was black with rainbow stripes on the sleeves and legs. Her hair was the color of the rainbow I couldn't help but shrug mentally at her appearance. She had a pair of cyan wings adorning her back. I continued to the next woman she seemed to be a farmer of some sorts due to the clothes she wore. A button up plaid shirt that was tied up so her midriff showed she wore what looked like blue jean shorts, cowboy boots, and a stetson on her head. Her hair was a dusty blonde color tied into a pony tail that reached the middle of her back. Nothing else stuck out with this one. As I turned my attention to the next one I felt like I was standing in the presence of a crazy person. So... Much... Pink... You think I am kidding her let me explain. Blouse. Pink. Hair. Pink. purse. pink. Shoes. Pink. I was a little perturbed by her I was always more of a sleek black look to blend in not stand out like this one. I quickly looked away to almost skip over one of them. She was cowering behind one of her friends She had long coral pink hair that nearly covered her face. She wore a very large dark green turtle neck sweater with light blue jeans. I looked at her before she made a squek and moved out of my view. I saw a glimpse of canary yellow wings from her back. I looked to the last one who seemed to be examining me as well. She was a perfect 10. Hourglass figure, perfect posture, confidence seemed to radiate from her. She had long curly purple hair that seemed to bounce at the smallest movement. She was wearing a white blouse with a black vest on. Her pants were a dark purple and seemed to be designer made. Everything about her outfit matched perfectly I noticed she had a horn as well. "Hey bub mind telling us why you were sleeping in a coffin in the middle of a field?" I turned to the voice seeing it was the rainbow haired girl. I raised my eye brow to the woman still trying to figure out how I got into that field. "I honestly don't know how I got out there miss I normally do this in the privacy of my own home." I said climbing out of my bed straightening my suit. "Do you always sleep in a coffin?" I turned again to see it was the scholar this time. "I think introductions would be the first place to start." I placed my right hand over my heart and my left hand behind my back bowing to them. "My name is Charles Bishop it is a pleasure to meet all of you ladies this horrible day." I smirked but it faded when I saw the confused looks on their faces. "To me the day is a horrible thing it is far to bright and annoying. The night is my ally allowing me to enjoy my self as I wish." I saw more confusion which made me sigh. "This is normally when you all are supposed to introduce yourselves." They seemed to snap out of their confusion as they began introductions. "My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle." The scholar said with a smile. "I am Rainbow Dash fastest flier in all of Equestria." She struck a pose which earned an eye roll from me. "I'm Applejack but you can call me AJ." The cowgirl said tipping her hat to me. I didn't even have time to react to the next event. My hands were seized in the grip of another as I was then violently shaken up and down. "Hi my name is Pinkie Pie but you can call me Pinkie we can be friends. I should throw you a party a very big party with balloons and streamers and all types of fun games li-" I pulled one of my hands free as I suddenly covered her mouth yet she continued to speak. "Pinkie dear he did just wake up give him a minute to adjust." The purple haired woman said calmly. Pinkie froze before nodding and backing away from me I sighed in relief. "I'm... um... F-Fluttershy." I heard in a barely audible whisper I could hear her perfectly but I was wondering why she was so quiet. "And I am Rarity A pleasure to meet you Charles." She held her hand out to me I took it into my hand gently kissing the top of it with a smile. She smelled of lilacs. "The Pleasure is all mine Miss Rarity." I said kissing her hand again before releasing it. "Ok back onto the subject at hand." Twilight said clearing her throat. "Well to be honest I have no idea where I am I was in my home preparing my breakfast I ate layed back down to sleep." I paused trying to think if anything else happened to lead me here. "And that's it I woke up when one of you tried to open my bed while the sun was still out. AND the sun was shining on my bed what would happen if I were to burst into flames just then?" I asked crossing my arms with a sigh. "I highly doubt you would burst into flames from a little sunlight." Twilight said waving her hand dismissively. I looked at her slightly annoyed. "I have very delicate skin that burns easily." I checked my suit coat pockets finding all of my items. They were all watching me now which I will admit angered me to a degree. A strange aura surrounded me I looked at it trying to see what it was. "Can I help you?" I asked still observing the aura. "Strange you are not the same race as us." Twilight said still examining me. "So what are you?" I chuckled shrugging. "I am just myself nothing else to it." They all watched me more closely and a few of them backed away from me. "And how can you tell what race I am with this strange aura?" I moved my hand through the aura doing my own analysis. "I was just using it to see if you were injured or if something was wrong with you." She smiled. "And I was right to do so... you are missing a special hemoglobin in your blood if left un-check it could kill you." She dispelled her scan looking me over. "That and something else." I raised my eye brow to her smiling. "Pray tell Twilight what could that be?" She pulled out a scroll and a quill writing out a quick message snapping her fingers it was sent. "I will need the princess to help me." There was a bright light that engulfed the room I shielded myself as much as possible but the light still hit me. When the light finally dispersed I was on the ground. My skin seemed to be smoking from the light that hit me. "F-fuck." I muttered my entire body burned from the light. The girls ran up to me seeing if I was alright but what they saw scared them. Half of my face was burned off I was trying to cover it with my hand which was also skelletalized. Two of the girls Rarity and Fluttershy fainted as I tried to get a hold of myself. "Twilight what creature have you found?" I heard a new voice say I turned my eye to the voice. It was a woman and she was beautiful but something about her made me afraid. "That is why I sent you the letter. I do not know what he is and he seems to be a very old creature." Twilight said watching me carefully and with a small hint of fear. "I see." I was finally healing my left eye grew back along with my muscles and finally my skin. As I stood a golden aura surrounded me I felt the same burning sensation my skin ignited into flames. "GET IT OFF OF ME!" I yelled trying to swipe away the aura. Everyone in the room jumped as I tried to put out the flames on my skin. The aura was dispersed. A bucket of water was dumped on my Steam seemed to billow off of me as the flames were extinguished. I stood there my skin was burned badly I could only glare at the woman in front of me. "You stay the hell away from me. Got it." I said my voice thick with malice for the woman. "It was only a simple analysis spell why did you burst into flames?" She asked my reaching out towards me I backed away from her. "Well I guess I have no choice but to tell you." I sighed my skin healed slower than before I needed to feed. "I am not the same race as any of you I am a vampire." They all looked at me confused. "Have none of you ever heard of a vampire?" They shook their heads no. "I think we should start at a better topic... Where am I?" > Part 2: The Night Out > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Bond Carved Through Blood Part 2: The Night Out By: Major Frostwing My name is Charles Bishop and I am a vampire. I am about 6' weight about 200 lbs all muscle. Ladies. My hair is black rather long in my opinion but I like it that way my eyes are a piercing blue. I was transported to this world somehow and was found by 6 women who I found out were a race of people called ponies. Now I begin my strange adventures in this world hopefully nobody wakes me up in the middle of the day. ------------------------------------- "Charles it is night." I heard Twilight say as she knocked on my casket. We had decided that Twilight's was the best location for me to be since she had a very dark basement. My casket's top slid off as I sat up. "Thank you Twilight." I said standing up scratching the back of my head. "Do you know where I can get some food?" She visibly paled at my question. "Not that food I meant real food." She sighed in relief nodding. "You can go to the club or the diner down the road." I nodded placing my hand under my chin thinking which will get me what I wanted. "Thank you again Twilight." She smiled walking with me up the stairs. "Oh I will need new clothes eventually do you know a good tailor?" She nodded. "Rarity is the best seamstress she can make you a glorious suit that would make you the talk of the town." She said sending all the praise to her friend. "That's quite the feat." I said stopping in the living room of her home. I looked around all of the books smiling. In my world I would collect literature I even had a few original copies of Edgar Allan Poe's poems. "I shall return before dawn, Twilight." I stepped out the door into the night closing the door behind me. "Let's go to the club." I took to the skies gliding to the club. ------------------------------- As I entered the club I felt the beat from the music a heavy dubstep not really my music I am more of a classical music person. I still thought it was funny that a few people were looking at me and a few were staring at me. As I made my way to the bar I saw a few big guys sitting there and a female who was being hounded by them. I sighed as I pushed one of them out of my way taking his seat. "You got a death wish?" I heard one say to me placing his hand on my shoulder. "Don't touch me..." I smacked his hand off of my shoulder. "Filth is not allowed to touch me." I turned looking at the man my blue eyes flashed gold for a split second. He backed away from me. "Now leave I don't have the time to deal with you." I turned back looking forward to the barkeep. I felt my view go up then back down as my head was slammed into the bar top. "That will teach you punk." I pulled my head up something was strange though the look on my face wasn't anger but happiness. I turned looking at them. "leave or be forced to." I said still smiling. They were about to say something when I grabbed an empty beer bottle off the bar cracking the first guy over the head he fell. I reached out seizing the last two by the throat pulling them close. "Next words are to be chosen carefully." They nodded raising their hands. "We'll leave no need to fight." I let them go as they picked up their friend leaving the club. I sighed placing my hand to my forehead. I took my seat at the bar ordering a beer. "Thank you those brutes were ruining my night." I glanced over to see the girl I helped sipping on a glass of wine. "Wine at a club I think it would be rude to say you are not a person from a very powerful family." I was handed my beer taking a light sip from it. "Indeed my family does hold some power in Canterlot." She turned to face me smiling. "My name is Octavia." She held out her hand to me. "What is your name?" I took hold of her hand leaning down I kissed the top of her hand. I finally got a good look at her She had straight black hair her eyes were a gentle pink. She wore a black dress with a pink Treble clef on her hip. She was a stunning woman but a little to out of my league. "I am Charles A. Bishop and it is a pleasure to meet you Miss Octavia." I looked up to see her blush gently. "And what do you think you are doing with my girl." I released Octavia's hand turning to the new voice it was a girl with electric blue hair. She was wearing a black belly shirt with a white vest on she also wore black skinny jeans. I went to look at her eyes only seeing violet shades covering her eyes. "Hey bub I asked you a question." She grabbed the collar of my suit. I looked at her hand and then back at her eyes. "Can you let me go?" I asked annoyed. "Not until you answer me." I wanted to just seize this woman by the throat but it goes against everything I stand for as a vampire. A pale hand was set on the woman's arm. "Vinyl let him go he helped me with those brutes." Octavia said annoyed at this Vinyl girl. "But babe he could be with those guys." She said all I could do was look at both of them. "You never know." I let out an annoyed sigh. "Can you please for the love of the moon let go of my suit I happen to like this one." She turned towards me with what I could tell was a glare. "I have done nothing wrong." She tightened her grip before suddenly letting go. "I'm sorry." She muttered as I adjusted my suit coat. "Charles I would like to introduce my girlfriend Vinyl Scratch also know as DJ Pon3." I held my fist out to Vinyl smiling gently she looked at it slamming her fist into it after she did she grimaced in pain. "Your fist is like hitting a brick wall." She said rubbing her hand smirking at me. "Yea a few people say that." I took a drink of my beer calmly. "Anyway I think I have caused enough trouble for the night I have to leave." I set down a few bits on the table adjusting my coat before turning away. "It was a pleasure to meet both of you." They nodded as I walked out of the club. when I was far enough away I took to the air gliding through the night. ----------------------------- I was watching the night for so long I almost didn't make it home before the first rays of day. I yawned as I moved my way to the basement crawling into my casket closing the lid with a sigh. I let sleep take hold of me as the dream world took me into it's cold embrace. > Part 3: A Dream Of Night > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Bond Carved In Blood Part 3: The Dream of Night By: Major Frostwing I awoke in a nightscape laying on the grass of a hill. "I know this dream." I sat up placing my hand against my forehead knowing how this dream plays out. "Charles." I turned to see a woman she smiled sitting down next to me looking up at the moon. "How beautiful this night is." I looked over to her. How long has it been since it happened. "Don't you agree Charles?" She tilted her head smiling. "I'm sorry Beth." I muttered placing my hands over my eyes. "I couldn't protect you from them." I felt her place her hand on my chest. "That's right Charles." My blood froze as I looked to her she had blood pouring out of her eyes yet she was smiling widely. "You couldn't protect the sole thing that mattered to you." I sat up moving away from her. "You watched me die and didn't raise a finger to save me." "That's not true I tried to save you I tried so hard." I felt the tears well up in my eyes trying not to cry. "BUT IT WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH!" I flinched at her words she placed her hand around my neck lifting up a stake. "AND NOW YOU WILL SUFFER LIKE I HAVE!" She thrust the stake only for it to disappear. "I am glad I am not to late." A female voice said walking towards us. "My sister told us about you Charles Bishop the man known as a vampire." I turned looking at her she was beyond stunning and for some reason I felt at ease when I saw her. "Who are you?" I asked as Beth disappeared from the dream with a click. "I am Princess Luna the princess of the night and princess Celestia's little sister." I adjusted myself standing in front of her. "I am honored to meet the mother of the night's glory. I am Charles Bishop known as The Flame of Hatred, Unholy Protector, and the Blood of Night. I am the hero of the vampire hunt of 1884 and the source blood of the Bishop blood line." I knelt in front of her bowing my head low. "But I am nothing in the presence of our holy mother of night." "Rise Charles Bishop I do not come to you as the night mother but as the Dream Watcher." Nodding I rose to my feet. "I still thank you for the glory of the night without it my kind would have never been." She smiled to me. "I am happy to see my night is loved so much. Now I must ask who was that woman?" I looked away when she asked me the question. "That was Bethany Bishop my wife sadly she was staked many years ago and burned in the rays of that cursed sun." My fists clenched into fists. "I could only watch as she burned." Luna seemed sad at my tale. "Do not give me that look Princess Luna I avenged her death with the blood of those hunters." "Was killing them the correct answer?" I looked to her shocked. I never once questioned my actions that day I did what I had to, to survive. "Is one death means for so much more?" I looked down realizing it indeed was wrong. "We have a breed here that went through the same thing as your kind. They remain hidden in plain sight feeding off of the love of others yet when they are found. Our subjects slaughter them saying that they are monsters." I nodded knowing how that feels. "And what are they called?" she nodded. "Changelings they take on another's physical form to replace them while they feed off of others." she crossed her arms content with her answer. "So will you become like them an unending cycle of slaughter?" "Princess I have lived for 2000 years taking on many new names and identities and I haven't killed a human since that day I slaughtered those hunters." I turned my attention to the moon above us. "I was a leading authority on human vampire coexistence us Vampires helped the humans with our powers and in turn they would feed us willingly." I smiled to the moon. "I could never kill another human being." "I see I will have a package sent to your home today it should allow you to keep to your word." Luna saw that the sun was rising in the dream world the rays of light hit me it was warm and didn't burn me. "I hope you can have a peaceful experience with the people of our world." She was about to fade when I grabbed her hand. "Can you tell me where these changelings are I might be able to help with the problem." She giggled to me as she disappeared. ---------------------------------- A knock came on the lid of my casket waking me up from my sleep. "Charles a package came for you today." Twilight said as I moved the lid off of the casket. "It's from Princess Luna." I nodded looking over to see a large fridge that was already plugged in. "I can't seem to open it though so I have no idea what is inside." As I moved to the door to open it there was a note on it with a series of numbers on it. "Do you know what these numbers are?" I asked pointing at the note. "It's a point on a map weird thing is that the destination is inside of the Everfree forest." She shrugged walking up to me looking at the fridge. "So what's inside?" I opened the door seeing that there were blood packets inside. "Now that is a very generous gift." I reached in pulling out one of the packets pulling off the seal on the end I placed the end in my mouth taking a rather large drink of the life liquid. I glanced back seeing Twilight she seemed to be shaking in fear. "Is that... Blood?" I looked back into the fridge then back at her. "Would you like a lie or the truth?" I asked her as I took another drink from the packet. "The truth." She wasn't looking at me but instead at the packet in my hand. "Yes it is blood but Princess Luna gave me medical blood from a hospital." I took another sip. "And from it's taste it has about a week left before it all goes bad and would have to be thrown away." I finished off the packet tossing it into a trash can sighing. "This will keep me tame so I don't need to source feed." She nodded still seeming to be shaken up. "This is how I lived in my world so you have nothing to fear. Though I could use some juice to cover up the sour flavor." She sighed at my pour attempt at a joke. "You are unbelievable Charles." She shook her head walking up the stairs to her bed. "Hey Twilight can you do me a quick favor?" She looked back at me confused. "Can you enchant a map to help me find this destination oh and can you put an ice enchantment on the inside of a bag?" She nodded taking one of her bags off of a hoof to her basement enchanting it before tossing it back to me. "Are you going there tonight?" I nodded calmly placing a few packets inside of the bag. "That is a 2 day hike from here will you be safe while the sun is out?" I chuckled lightly. "I am a very old vampire and have survived this long I will be alright." I slid the bag over my shoulder walking up the stairs after her. She pulled out a map of the Everfree it looked like more of a blob than a detailed map. A glow surrounded her horn as a tiny point appeared on the map and a small arrow in the far left corner. "The point is your destination you are the arrow just moved towards the point. Be safe Charles." I nodded to her. "Tomorrow night I will show you some vampire magic." Her eyes seemed to sparkle at the mere thought of learning something completely new. I walked out of the home just as the moon was rising. According to what Twilight said I needed to hurry. I took off in a mad sprint going faster and faster. ------------------------------------------ I was running through the forest hearing every creature around me. They were predators like myself but they knew better than to attack me. I saw a hut which warranted me to stop. I looked over the hut carefully seeing that the light was on I walked up to the door looking at it wondering what could possibly be out here in this dangerous forest. I turned away from the door running off into the distance continuing to my destination. I arrived as a large clearing I looked around feeling the magic in the area. I reached into my bag pulling out the map seeing that I was where I needed to be I looked up taking a few steps forward that's when I saw the ripple of a barrier. I set my hand on the barrier feeling the resistance it presented. "Odd." I said pressing against the barrier yet it wouldn't give. "Very odd." I pulled out one of my blood packets opening it up the blood spilled out in front of me. "I command thee to be my weapon to carve through my enemies without hesitation." The blood bubbled collecting into a sphere that rose into the air. The blood floated over spreading across a section of the barrier. "Allow me entry into thou's home." The blood seeped into the barrier shattering it in a section I walked forward through the opening. I saw a rather large castle in front of me but it had all the workings of a large bee hive. The blood floated over to me I sunk my teeth into the floating orb devouring it happily. "Halt intruder." I heard someone yell I turned to see a man his skin was black almost insect like. "State your business or be killed." I sighed shaking my head. "I would like to have a word with your source blood." I stated calmly he looked confused. "Your king or queen." I revised myself sighing again this was beginning to become problematic. "And why should I let you anywhere near our queen intruder?" He raised a spear to me placing it against my throat. "If you continue to point your weapon at me you better use it." My eyes flashed gold. The guard twitched raising his weapon to me a sickly green glow surrounded the tip of his weapon. "Enough let him through." A voice echoed as the guard lowered his weapon. I moved past the guard with a smile going towards the throne room of the large castle. As I opened the door two spears stopped me a few of the insect like changelings stood before me horns glowing a sickly green. "Nice welcoming party but a predator knows when it has no chance of victory." I walked under the spears moving past the magic using changelings to the throne. "And a glorious Evening to you. I am Charles Bishop." I placed my hand over my heart bowing to the queen. "I am known as The Flame of Hatred, Unholy Protector, and the Blood of Night. I am the hero of the vampire hunt of 1884 and the source blood of the Bishop blood line." The queen only glared at me. "Kneel in the presence of our queen." One of the guards barked at me. I turned towards him my eyes glowing gold he took a step away. "Enough leave us guards." The queen said with a booming voice. The guards hesitated for only a moment. The queen slammed her fist down on her throne they bowed leaving the throne room. "I am Chrysalis Queen of the changelings, I am known as The Brood Mother, and Mother." She stood walking towards me circling me examining everything about me as I did the same. She wore a dark green dress at the ends it was frayed and torn she had wings insect like but had holes in them her skin was black and insect like she had a horn as well. Her hair was a sickly dark green that sported the same holes as her wings and dress. "A pleasure to meet you Queen Chrysalis I had a few things to discuss with you." She stopped in front of me she had a glare but I could still see the curiosity in her eyes. "It is about coexistence with the other creatures of this world." she struck me across the face seeming to be enraged by my words. "Do you have any idea what my kind has suffered through being hunted down and slaughtered all because we are different from them." She raised her fist to strike me again. "What could you know of that pain." As the fist came I caught it my expression blank. "My kind had a way to exchange info through our blood since you are close to what my kind is feeding would be a more direct way to prove it to you." She looked at me shocked as I undid my collar showing her my neck. "So feed off of me and I will prove my pain is worse than even yours." She hesitated but eventually walked to me sinking her teeth into my neck feeding off of my love after a few seconds she let go moving away from me. "You have lived for so long knowing the pain of being hunted and killed yet... You became weak to want to compromise with those who hunted you." I sighed shaking my head. "You fail to see the bigger picture." "Pray-tell what is the bigger picture?" "The safety of our children the love each of my kind can hold for one another. Even though we do not grow old and die we still lived on knowing that we could be killed for being what we are." I smiled looking at her. "I gave both of our race's peace of mind and happiness neither hunts the other down. Oppression still happened in some areas but it was handled safely and without death. I made our world better if a person was to die from a horrible wound or an accident they have the choice to be saved and continue to live on I helped make the world... Better than before. Won't you do the same?" I asked her extending my hand to her. She listened to my words carefully before turning away from me. "I will speak with my subjects about this but for now, leave my home." I bowed to her as I left the castle. The sun was going to rise in an hour so I had to hurry back home. I took off running all the way back to the library. > Part 4: A Rude Awakening > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Bond Carved In Blood Part 4: Rude Awakening By: Major Frostwing It has been a few days since I went and spoke with the Queen of the changelings. I wonder if she had taken my words to heart or will continue to be hard headed about this. I turned in my coffin going back to sleep. A woman entered the library it was in the middle of the day just a bit after noon. Twilight perked up at hearing a customer. She closed her book smiling to the woman who entered. "Welcome to Ponyville Library how may I help you?" She said in a chipper tone. The woman closed the door behind her as green flames engulfed her dissolving her disguise. "Good day Twilight Sparkle." She said in a flat tone almost annoyed at being in her presence. Twilight jumped back charging her horn. Chrysalis raised her hands. "I am not here to fight I am here to speak to Charles." She was calm. "What do want with Charles?" She asked her horn still charged up. "He came to me a few days ago speaking about coexistence with my kind and your kind." Twilight scoffed. "And why would you want coexistence with us is this some plan to try and take over Canterlot." Twilight overloaded her magic when there was a loud thud from the basement. "Twilight Sparkle..." A voice said from the basement. "Both of you basement now." The room went silent as both of them walked to the door not wanting to open it. "I said now." The door launched open. Both Twilight and Chrysalis walked down the stairs into the basement feeling the pressure of tension coming from Charles. "I see you are awake." Chrysalis said with a chuckle. A coffin flew past her head slamming into the wall. "I am a nocturnal creature. Vampires are very angry to be awoken during the day so this had better be good." I was not in a good mood. "And Twilight you almost destroyed something I was trying to build in this world do not act so rash." I scolded her and she lowered her head in shame. "Charles I would like to continue our talk." Chrysalis looked at Twilight with a glare. "She stays Chrysalis she is a Princess and if both of you can get along after your history I'm sure we can make this work." She nodded taking a seat in a nearby chair. I moved a table over and two more chairs. "Just let me get my drink." Twilight paled again she still wasn't used to my feeding habits. I opened the fridge pulling out a few packets. "You are a strange one indeed Charles." Chrysalis said as I took my seat. I chuckled looking up at her. "Coming from the one who can change her form and hungers for love." I pointed at her smiling. "Though I do wonder if you can harvest love into packets like blood." I looked at one of the packets pulling all of the blood out of it. The blood floated to the center of the table morphing into a rose in a vase. "Anyway shall we begin?" I stood from my seat bowing to both of them. "I am Charles Bishop. The only vampire of this world and mediator of these talks. All problems will be stated to me and only me. Do not speak out of turn and be polite to the other representative." I stood up straight a smile on my face. "Now let us begin." ------------------------ It has been 4 hours into the talks and so much progress has been made Twilight was a good rep for the Ponies. No incident has happened since the talks began. "Alright let us break here for dinner and then we shall pick it back up." I stated standing up the blood flower floated over to me morphing into a ball I bit into it devouring it happily. "Charles may I speak with you?" I turned my view to Chrysalis I knew what she had to eat. "Twilight go up stairs and begin cooking we shall be up shortly." She nodded going upstairs to the kitchen. I watched Chrysalis walk over to me I undid my collar exposing my neck. She bit into it feeding off of me it felt weird like losing a part of myself but not much different from allowing a subject to feed off of you. When she was done she took a step away. "Thank you Charles." I nodded buttoning up my collar. "But what made you so certain that I would go through these talks peacefully?" I chuckled smiling. "Because one of my wives convinced me that there was another way." I looked at her a gentle smile but it was filled with such sadness. "She was sad that my kind and hers killed each other so readily like there was nothing wrong with it. But she convinced me that all my kind wanted was to be accepted into the world." She seemed to understand because she walked up to me placing a hand on my shoulder. "I guess you should have been given a much more powerful title Charles as King of your breed." I chuckled at her words. "I could never be a king I am still far to young compared to our true king." She giggled at that. I motioned for her to follow me she did so readily. I went upstairs to the living room to see the other girls. "I see so it was all a trap." Chrysalis said charging her horn. I set my hand on her shoulder shaking my head. She ceased her attack as I stood in front of her. "All of you are to not attack Queen Chrysalis on order of the Vampire empire." They all looked at me shocked. "An attack on my ally will be a declaration of war on myself and my country." They all looked to Twilight who nodded. "What are you talking about Charles you don't own a country here you are not as strong as you were in your old world." Rainbow Dash said calmly. "Rainbow Dash the point is these are peace talks to allow the Changelings peace an the oblation of discrimination against a race of people." I was a little annoyed with Rainbow Dash but I wanted the humans to be oppressed at one point in my life. "But they are evil." She said crossing her arms annoyed. "You want to know something Rainbow." She looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "My breed is evil as well we basically eat people and we fixed that by coexistence and Chrysalis is not evil she could have killed me when I went to her castle yet she let me live." I looked to Chrysalis smiling to her and she smiled back to me. "Then prove you are Charles." I looked at her annoyed. "Twilight call Celestia inform her to make her entrance as bright as possible." My eyes were locked with Rainbow's Twilight sent the letter and we only had to wait a few minutes before the bright flash exploded into the room. The second the light hit me my skin ignited as I fell to the ground still burning. Twilight dumped a bucket on me as I stood up my body was skeletalized. "Thank you Princess." I said looking at Rainbow. "Well I guess you can't fake that." She said lowering down to me I set my skeleton hand on her shoulder looking at her with what was a cold glare. "If you try and fuck up these peace talks I will rip a quart of your blood out of your chest." She shuddered as I spoke. "So will someone explain to me why an enemy of the crown here?" I turned to Celestia annoyed. "I can explain that sister." A darkness filled the room as Luna arrived in the room my body healed itself at her entrance. "Charles came to Chrysalis to help bring peace to our races." Luna nodded to me and I nodded back. "Thank you Luna shall we continue the talks?" I asked Chrysalis and she nodded to me as we entered the basement. ---------------------------------- Everyone entered the basement seeing the coffin sticking out of the wall and a few empty blood packets in a trash can. "Normally it is a symbol of respect to make a flower or bring one to the talks as a sign of peace." I picked up a small glass vase setting it on the table. "Let us begin this the correct way. All new entrants to the talks are to introduce themselves and their titles so everyone knows another's name." I slit my finger with my nail the blood oozed out slowly before I pulled it out with my magic making a rose and setting it in the vase. Everyone did the same or set something near the vase that could pass as peaceful. The room became quiet as introductions were given. The talks were slower due to the crowned princesses being there but Twilight was in charge at the moment of the talks. "I do not see why I should allow the changelings into my country and give them citizenship." I was about to speak but Twilight beat me to it. "Princess Celestia for the past few years after the incident at the wedding we have hunted down the changelings killing them whenever another was found." Chrysalis nodded but remained silent. "We should not have to hunt down another race due to one incident." Celestia slammed her fist on the table. "That was not the only incident the changelings were involved in." She boomed and I slammed my palm on the table. "I know of the incident Celestia but I have to call you a hypocrite." Everyone in the room gasped at my accusation. "I am sorry to use you like this Holy Night Mother." I said bowing my head to Luna. "And how so am I a hypocrite?" Celestia demanded of me. "Because you forgave your sister and yet you can not forgive a race of people." Luna lowered her head knowing what I just said. "Family is much more important." She tried to justify her actions. My fist slammed on the table again. "MY OWN FAMILY BETRAYED ME AS WELL AND I FORGAVE BOTH SIDES FACE FACTS PRINCESS YOU DON'T WANT TO ADMIT YOU DID WRONG TO AN ENTIRE RACE!" I yelled I wasn't expecting the blow that hit me in the chest I fell out of my chair onto the floor. The flower of blood inside of the vase fell apart falling to the table top. I looked down seeing a burning hole in my chest. "CELESTIA!" Luna boomed forcing Celestia to snap out of her rage. "These are peace talks you are not to attack the mediator or anyone else at the table." Luna walked toward me looking down at me. "Charles are you alright?" I turned my head over to her a blank expression on my face. I sat up and then stood walking back to my chair sitting down in it. "Charles?" Chrysalis asked staring at the hole in my chest. I sighed putting my hands over the hole my blood shifted connecting my lungs back to my esophagus. "Yea." I wheezed out. "I'm ok but Celestia." I looked to her and she avoided my gaze. "You are older than me Celestia act your age when it comes to this talk." She lowered her head ashamed of what she had just done. "Now then." I reconstructed the rose placing it in the vase except now it had thorns. "I will not back down from my statement you Celestia are a hypocrite and need to understand that you need to forgive both sides if you forgive one." I saw her look up with a glare directed at me. "Keep your anger in check you should know what happens when a peace talk goes sour." She hesitated looking away again. "He is right Tia." Everyone looked to Luna. "You forgave the uprising I caused with the help of the changelings. I gave Charles the location of the changelings to help repent for the pain my selfishness and anger caused." She rubbed the moisture out of her eyes. "Thank you Luna." Chrysalis said smiling to her. "We will have to continue these talks tomorrow." Celestia said holding the side of her head. She flashed teleporting to her castle again the light burned me. "DAMMIT STOP DOING THAT!" I yelled as my skin smoked Rainbow chuckled at my pain. My eye twitched as I walked up to her flicking her nose hard. "Ow." She muttered rubbing her nose. "Alright." I wheezed moving to my fridge pulling out a couple of blood bags. "I am going to stay down here and heal Chrysalis will be staying down here with me for the night everyone else will go home." I opened one drinking from it quickly. "Charles, Chrysalis has to run her castle." I nodded understanding Twilight's argument. "True but I am a little wary of what Celestia might do to Chrysalis so she will remain down here where I know nothing will happen to her." They shrugged leaving the basement to just Chrysalis and myself. ---------------------------------- Chrysalis had gone to sleep a few hours ago I just sat in the dark with a book in my hands reading it happily. "Charles?" I looked up suddenly my concentration on the book broken. It was Chrysalis she was sitting up from the bed that was set in the corner of the basement. "Are you still awake?" I closed my book quietly. "Yes This is the time I am normally awake." She turned on a lamp nearby I raised my hand to shade my eyes. "And the dark is much better than the light." She nodded turning off the light. "I was wondering have you ever seen the sun?" I sighed leaning back in my chair. "No my kind has two separate reactions to the sun. Death... or what happens to me I don't die from the sun but it burns everything except my skeleton and heart." I looked toward my coffin sighing. "For source bloods like myself that is basically a staple hunters place us in the sun and then stake our hearts." I chuckled thinking back. "I think they have killed 25 source bloods in 4000 years not a very good record." I pulled out a packet biting into it. "Do you still hold a grudge for the people who hunted you?" I shook my head chuckling. "Nah I'm over it." I muttered before I sighed. "All kinds of things can happen now that I am in this world but I left a note on my desk saying I was on holiday." Chrysalis looked at me confused. "Holiday for me is a couple decades." I opened my book back up. "Now go back to sleep Chrysalis the talks will continue in a few hours." I heard her give a giggle before rolling over and falling asleep. I continued to sit there reading my book till I felt the danger in my stomach of the impending dawn. > Part 5: Day In The Sun > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Bond Carved In Blood Part 5: Day In The Sun By: Major Frostwing I gotta say I could have gone for a few more hours of sleep but sadly. A hand was slammed on the table. "Explain to me what you want me to do? Have a guard be with every Changeling in case they are attacked." Celestia yelled towards Chrysalis. "We just want the hunts to cease on my kind." She yelled back slamming her hand on the table. The vase was bouncing so much I was using my magic to keep it in place. "No more oppression and killings." I wanted to sigh but I knew this would not be the correct place to do so. "I can not change the views of my subjects." She shot back and I finally lost it letting out a groan. Everyone looked at me. "How about something a little smaller to start out." I said letting out a yawn. "A compromiser." I said standing up. "Some one to watch the changeling and keep them safe only volunteers." I moved to my fridge pulling up a blood packet drinking it slowly. "If you force this it will only blow up in your face." I smiled moving back to the table. "Chrysalis will be with me and Twilight for a month we will go out and introduce her to the people of Ponyville. Since Twilight is a princess and her friends are the elements of harmony people will be more willing to listen to them if they say she is safe and brings no harm to people." They looked at me nodding but Celestia was skeptical. "And how do you know this will work?" I sighed finishing off the packet. "Because that's how we did it and it worked out perfectly." I said with a smile. "It also happens to be how I met my late wife princess so I would say with certainty it will work and if not... Well let's just say I bet my life on it." I leaned on my arm smiling almost like I was baiting Celestia to fall into my trap. "You have that much confidence in your little plan working?" She asked smiling back at me. "Then of course let us put your plan into effect but just to be safe I will have a few guards stay here as well." She crossed her arms smiling as if that I would agree to her terms. Time to break her little glass plan. "Sadly that will just reinforce everyone's view on the changelings. So I have to decline that little part of "Your" plan." I looked to Chrysalis. "If she becomes dangerous I will deal with the problem. It would be easier to kill a race of one instead of fighting a war between two races." I sighed. "I mean no offense to you Chrysalis but I am viewing this in a negative way I am positive this will work out." Twilight nodded. "I agree to the terms of this plan Chrysalis will be allowed to stay with me and while in my care no harm will come to you. You have my word." Twilight stood bowing to Chrysalis. The other elements stood as well. "And ours as well darling." Rarity said bowing with twilight and the others. "You have my blessing in this kingdom Chrysalis." Luna said standing. "Thank you Charles and thank all of you." Chrysalis said bowing to them. "One month if this plan works then I will deem Changelings citizens of Equestria my guards will cease their hunts and will treat them with respect." Celestia said standing up about to teleport when I stopped her. "Wait for the vampire to get out of the room first." I said walking up the stairs to the living room. One month... that is less time I had to work with back home but it will have to do for now. I sighed walking outside staying in the shade of the tree I could still feel the burn from the sun but it wasn't bad enough to make me drop in pain. I lit a cigarette smoking it with a sigh. "I got my work cut out for me but I can make this work." I smiled looking up at the blue sky. "Is a cloudy stormy day to much to ask for?" I muttered finishing my cigarette. ---------------------------------- I heard a knocking on my coffin as I rolled over inside. "Go away..." I groaned as I tried to go back to sleep. The knocking got louder. "Please just let me sleep it's still day outside." I muttered still trying to sleep. The lid of my coffin was ripped off as I covered my face from the lights that were on. "Charles you need to wake up the day is still young and we need to go introduce Chrysalis to the people." Twilight said as the lid of my coffin was set down on the other side of the room. "Twilight what am I?" I asked slightly annoyed. "A... Vampire." She stated confused. "Correct. What do vampires do during the day?" I asked sitting up in my coffin. "Sleep..." She realized looking down at the ground. "Correct again. Unless you have a spell that can bend light around and away from me let the vampire sleep." I saw Twilight's eyes lighten up. "I can make you immune for the most part to the sun's rays." I was midway through laying down in my coffin when I heard her and sat back up. "Excuse me!?" I asked as she crossed her arms smiling. "It's a spell used for people who don't want to get a sunburn if I increase the spell strength I can allow you to walk out during the day." I just stared at her my mind was broken for the most part. "Can we test this spell right now?" I asked standing up I was groggy but I couldn't be tired right now. "Of course I just hav-" "Twilight you just told a vampire he would be able to step into the sun and not burst into flames." I pointed out. "Not to sound rude but just do the damn spell if you mind." I was trying to be polite but I really just wanted this to work. "Charles you can be a jerk sometimes." She said with a huff her horn glowed bright and then flashed as I felt a tingling sensation on my skin that subsided as I seemed to disappear in a flash of speed outside of the door into the sun. I waited for the horrible burning sensation and the horrible pain to begin... But it never came I collapsed to my knees looking up at the sky. I noticed that my face was wet when I reached up I saw the tears on my hand. I began to laugh for the first time in 2467 years I stood in the sun and did not fear for my life. Twilight stepped outside seeing me smiling gently. "Twilight..." I whispered as she walked over to me. "Thank you. Thank you." I repeated several times as I continued to stare at the aky. --------------------------------------------- After my little episode Twilight, Chrysalis, and myself walked through town a few of the people stopped and stared at the princess walking with an enemy of the crown and a strangely pale man walk through town. "Twilight let us stop and get something to eat." I suggested as I saw the strange house that seemed to be made of candy. She caught what I was looking at and nodded. "That's where Pinkie Pie works she can help both of you feel more welcome." She moved into the building as Chrysalis and myself entered the room it went deathly silent. Twilight was about to say something when I stopped her. I leaned in whispering to her. "Just order your food and we will order our own it will make us seem normal and less threatening." She nodded moving towards the counter as she ordered her food I ordered my own. Chrysalis just waited she didn't know what was right to order I whispered to her as well. "Just order a cupcake they are really good." She did just that. As we moved to a table all eyes were on us. "So Chrysalis how do you like Ponyville so far?" Twilight asked with a smile Chrysalis picked up her cupcake looking at it. "I feel everyone's eyes upon myself so a little uncomfortable." She said as I placed my hand on her shoulder. "It's the first day it is to be expected when my kind first revealed ourselves to humans we had to wear an arm band that stated we were vampires." I took a sip of the tea I ordered. "It will get easier Chrysalis do not worry the stares will stop." She nodded taking her first bite of the cupcake her eyes widened. "Twilight I taste love in these "Cupcakes"." We looked at her smiling. "Can food have emotion put into them?" She asked I nodded. "Well there was always that little metaphor in cooking. "And a pinch of love." I always thought it was a joke but I guess it does exist." I said with a chuckle taking another sip of my tea. I notice Chrysalis devour the cupcake greedily. "You might want to slow down otherwise you will make yourself sick." Twilight and myself chuckled as Chrysalis blushed at my observation. A group of men walked forward towards our group. "You're the asshole from the club a week ago." I glanced up just in time to see the first punch as it struck me in the eye knocking me into Chrysalis. I sat up slowly annoyed as hell now. "No empty bottles to cheat with." He said cracking his knuckles. "I suggest you gentlemen leave." Chrysalis said trying to be civil instead of being violent. "Shut up you bitch. No one wants you in this town anyway go back to your little hive and wait for the guard to hunt you do-" I reached out seizing the man by the throat lifting him off the ground. "Pathetic foolish pony." I muttered as I stood up my eyes were a shining gold. "I hope you made peace with your maker." I set hand against his chest. When I felt a hand on my arm. "Don't Charles." Chrysalis said as I looked towards her. "Just let him go he isn't worth it." I moved my hand away from the man setting him down I looked at every single person in the establishment in the eyes they all froze in place with blank stares on their faces. "There was no incident here these gentlemen were returning my wallet to me is that understood?" I asked removing my wallet placing it in the thugs hand I released the man sitting back down everyone of them nodded. "Good." I snapped my fingers as everyone returned to what they were doing. "Hey you dropped your wallet." The man who was only a few seconds ago about to be slaughtered was handing me back my wallet. I played it off as if I had lost my wallet. "Oh thank you sir." I said as I opened it pulling out a 20 bit note handing it to him. "Something for your troubles." He nodded as him and his friends had left the cafe. I sighed leaning over the table. Twilight leaned over to whisper to me. "What in the world was that Charles." I only sighed. "Hypnosis a little trick vampires no longer use. It was originally used on a witness of our feeding make them think nothing had happened." I took a large drink finishing off my tea. "I don't like using it but that would be the best answer to that scenario." Twilight nodded Chrysalis looked towards me with concern. "Why protect me Charles?" I shrugged. "You remind me of myself when I first came out as a vampire the weird looks the insults but I could manipulate them yet I couldn't if I wanted them to accept us." I smiled to her. "So all I gotta say is take the insults and just let them just roll off of you it's not gonna be easy but in the end it will be worth it." She nodded understanding my words. "Shall we go and visit Rarity get some new clothes made?" Twilight suggested we both nodded standing up as we left I noticed a few of the people watched us not with fear but with curiosity. I smiled internally this is perfect. > Part 6: Understanding > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Bond Carved In Blood Part 6: Understanding By: Major Frostwing It has been 2 weeks since Chrysalis first came outside without fear of being oppressed she seemed more happy a few of her followers even stopped using their disguises and came out to their significant others. I was very happy to see how many people aren't afraid of the changelings anymore. It brought happiness to my soul. It was night and the full moon shone brightly as I moved through the streets I saw a few pony changeling couples walking in the streets I could only smile. A few of the Changelings bowed to me as I walked past. I couldn't help but feel at ease knowing they didn't have to fear the people of this world anymore. I heard a scuffle in an alleyway I stopped turning down the alley to see a group of people shoving around a changeling. "Come on freak fight back." I heard one of them say shoving back the changeling. "Hey guys leave him alone." I said walking forward to them they turned seeing me they turned running away. "Thank you sir." The changeling muttered standing. He was about to walk away when I stopped him. "Come now let's get you somewhere nice." He looked to the ground nodding. "it's hard trying to not fight back isn't it?" He nodded again I could only pat his shoulder. "Trust me they will learn one day that their hate will not make you hate them." He looked up to me confused. "How can you be so sure?" He asked me I only smiled. "Because this is how acceptance starts." He looked at me with a strange look of inspiration. "Why don't you go home and get some sleep." He nodded walking off to his home I turned looking up at the sky knowing the sun will rise soon. I began my short walk back to the library. ------------------------------------ When I arrived at the library I stopped at the romance novels pulling one out I looked it over with a smile. This will pass my time until I had to go back to sleep. I made my way into the basement seeing Chrysalis was sitting on her bed reading a book in the gentle light. I took my seat in a chair next to her bed opening my own book. "What book did you grab for tonight?" She asked me I smiled. "Bonds of The Sea a simple romance novel." I said reading the first page. "And yourself?" I asked back. "The Two Kingdoms. A romance novel as well." She said as she turn her page I did the same. "Why do you read romance if you are a man?" I only continued to read thinking of my answer. "Simple. I want to experience what I had so long ago." I turned the page continuing into the story it was a good read. "So I guess I am a hopeless romantic but I love it. Nothing better than a good book." She giggled as she continued to read. We continued to read in silence enjoying the company we shared and the books we read. I stood walking over to my coffin opening it and crawling inside. "Good morning Chrysalis." I said as I closed the lid to the coffin turning over onto my side as I slipped into the dream world. "Good night Charles." Chrysalis whispered as she layed down in her bed as well falling asleep. -------------------------------------- I awoke in the dream world the moon in full view. I was sitting on top of a building just staring at the moon. "I see the plan is working." I heard a voice say from behind. I only glanced back to see that it was Luna I smirked tapping the spot next to me she walked over sitting on the edge of the building watching the moon as well. "The changelings are coming out willingly to show themselves. They aren't afraid." "I know why I was brought to this world now." I said not taking my eyes off of the moon. She looked to me with a questioning look. "I was brought here to save them. To bring them back from the darkness and into the light just like my race." Luna smiled turning back to the moon. "And... I think I found something that I had lost so long ago." I said as a small smile crept onto my face. "My heart has finally returned to me after so many years." she nodded standing up finally looking at the scenery of the world it was a large city full of sky scrappers. "Was this your world?" She asked almost stunned by it's beauty. "Yes this was my home I never liked the big cities all they did was block out the stars with their harsh lights. I liked it better when I could see the night sky in it's entirety." I stood as well looking down the edge of the tower. "But I did what I was set out to do." I turned my attention to Luna. "I set the gears of change in motion it will be a long process but eventually your world will change like mine did." She smiled nodding. "I need to wake up now Luna." She nodded backing away disappearing into the shadows I turned back to the moon as the world turned white. I awoke inside of my coffin staring at the interior of the lid I knew something for certain. I moved my hand up to my heart feeling it beat slowly inside my chest. "Even when you want it to stop it continues to beat strong." I muttered as I looked over seeing Chrysalis sleeping on the bed I couldn't help but smile seeing her so relaxed. "I never asked her but I wonder if I am older than her." I set my hand under my chin thinking. "I know Luna is only a few hundred years older than me so Celestia must be really old." I chuckled thinking back to when I first met her shuddering at the memory. "I really don't like her." I stood walking over to my fridge opening it to see I was out of blood packets. My eye twitched as I walked up the stairs to the living room. "Afternoon Charles." Twilight said not looking up from her book. I looked to her smiling. "Twilight can you send a message to Luna telling her I am out of blood packets." I said taking a seat in the living room. "Yea about that she sent a letter earlier today." Twilight levitated the letter over to me opening it as I read my blood ran cold. "Twilight please tell me I am misreading this." I said trying not to panic. "No most of the blood had to be incinerated due to complications it won't be a couple of weeks before you can get more blood." I dropped the letter taking a step towards the door. "I'm going to go stand in the sun for a bit." I said as I turned the door knob but the door wouldn't open. "Not without the enchantment you're not." Twilight cast the spell on me as I felt the familiar tingling sensation. "Now Rarity said she had something for you go speak with her." I nodded as I walked out into the day practically dragging my feet as I went. --------------------------------------------------- I made my way through the town I felt weak already from skipping my dinner. "I'm so hungry..." I muttered holding my stomach. "This is no way for a vampire like myself to live." I saw Rarity's shop in the distance and quickened my pace inside. The bell at the front of the store signaled my entry. "Coming~." Came a sing song voice I rolled my eyes taking a seat in the waiting area. "Welcome to Carousel Boutique, where ev- Oh Charles what a pleasant surprise." I must have looked drained because her smile was replaced with concern. "Are you alright Charles you look positively dreadful." I dead panned at the statement. "Thanks Rarity just what I wanted to hear tonight." She covered her mouth seeing that she had insulted me. "Anyway Twilight said you wanted to see me about something." I waved my hand dismissively. "Oh yes I finished your order last night but I didn't want to bother you. I was going to have you come over tonight but I guess now will do." She motioned for me to follow which I did so albeit slower than her. "Are you sure you are alright?" I nodded placing my hands on my stomach. "Just out of food right now." I looked away from her my eating habits still bothered the others but hey a vampire's gotta eat. "I see." She stopped in her changing room. "I made several suits to your specifications try them on and tell me which one you like the most." I nodded looking through the suits seeing a dark red suit my eyes locked onto it and I couldn't look away. "Charles?" She asked placing a hand on my shoulder I jumped having my trance broken. "Sorry I guess I am hungrier than I thought." I stated looking at the other suits seeing one that caught my eye in a different way it was black with a dark green button up I looked at the sleeves seeing the holes in it. "Making a suit based on the changelings I see." I said taking the suit off of the rack. I moved into the changing area stripping off my clothes and dawning the new suit. I looked at myself in the mirror it looked perfect. "Rarity how much for this one?" I asked her continuing to examine it carefully. "No charge you were willing to be my model for the suits and even told me what some of your world's fashion was like." She smiled taking a few of the suits off the rack and wrapped them in boxes. "I call it a fair trade." I nodded. "Thank you Rarity." I said walking up to her she turned looking to me with a tiny smile on her face. But my attention was suddenly drawn to her neck. "Charles...?" she snapped her fingers in front of my face. "You should head back to Twilight's I'm sure Chrysalis would love to see your new suit." I nodded moving away from her shaking my head. I left her shop going straight back to the library. -------------------------------------- As I entered the basement of the library I saw Chrysalis sitting up on her bed reading a book I felt woozy I was so hungry and could already feel my fangs poking my tongue. "Calm yourself Charles you have gone much longer without having to feed keep yourself in check." I said to myself as I sat down in a chair next to Chrysalis. She noticed me looking up. "Good afternoon Charles." I looked up to her my eyes were golden I was breathing heavily staring at her neck. "Charles?" She set down her book facing towards me as I reached out setting my hand on the side of her neck. I could feel her pulse pounding through her neck. "I can't." I whispered as I moved my hand away from her neck. "I won't go back." I turned away from her I continued to feel the burning in my throat. Chrysalis set her hand on top of my own She had the look of concern for me. "Charles are you going to be alright." I nodded setting down the boxes on the floor. "I'm just hungry." I set my hand on my forehead. "The initial symptoms will pass soon enough." She nodded moving her hand away that's when she noticed my suit. "What a lovely suit." She said as I turned to her. "Rarity based it off of you and the changelings." I adjusted the tie with a content sigh. "It is my favorite." She blushed at my words looking away from me. "It's my favorite because it reminds me of you." I whispered she must have heard me because she had a gentle smile on her lips. "That's... a very nice thing to hear Charles." I nodded about to stand when she grabbed my hand. "Charles do you mind if I feed off of your love?" She asked looking embarrassed at her own question. I moved my collar away from my neck showing it to her. She stood up biting into my neck I winced at the action and could feel my emotions drain from me. That's when I noticed her neck was right there I gently wrapped my arms around her as she did as well. My mouth was set against her neck and I could feel the undying urge to bite into her neck but I promised myself. "It is alright Charles." I heard next to my ear. "You have to feed as well do so." I felt my fangs pierce her neck and the sweet red liquid pour into my mouth as I drank. She let out a gentle moan as I drank from her. It only took a few seconds and I was done. I moved away from her neck looking at the holes I had left I reached up with my thumb licking it before swiping it over the holes. They healed quickly. I leaned back looking Chrysalis in her large green eyes she was blushing and smiling. "Thank you Chrysalis." I said hugging her tightly which she returned in full. As we parted I looked back into her eyes we both just stared into each other's eyes before we knew it our we closed our eyes as our lips lips locked together. I have lived for so long but this felt like my very first kiss all over again. We heard the door to the basement open as we broke apart going to our seats she picked up her book opening it I did the same what we failed to notice is that our books were upside down. "Hey Charles Princess Celestia has arrived to ta-" She stared at both Chrysalis and myself with a raised eyebrow. "Was I interrupting something?" We looked at her then at our books flipping them back over. "Not at all." I said almost to quickly. "Right anyway The Princess is upstairs." She turned away going back up the stairs I only nodded. "That was close." Chrysalis said trying to compose herself. I nodded standing up. "Might as well see what my mortal enemy wants." I muttered stretching. "I will be back in a minute." She nodded looking at her book but not really reading. As I entered the living room I saw the Princess. "Good afternoon Charles Bishop." I nodded standing in front of her. "You wanted to see me Princess of the Sun?" I said bowing to her. "Yes I wanted to say that the changelings will be given their citizenship to Equestria. You have proven that they no longer want to attack my kingdom and that coexistence is possible." She held out her hand making two tickets appear. "I would also like to cordially invite you and Queen Chrysalis to the Grand Galloping Gala in one week." I nodded grabbing the tickets from her with a smile. "We will be there Princess and thank you for listening to my plan and allowing me the time to put it into effect." She smiled turning away. "Just make sure you both look presentable it is a very important event in Canterlot." She said before disappearing in a flash of light. Twilight walked up beside me smiling. "I am impressed Charles you did what everyone else deemed impossible." That's when she noticed the look on my face. "What's wrong?" "The hard part starts now people will be outraged by this. We will have to be even more careful with how situations are handled." I turned away going back into the basement to give Chrysalis the good and bad news. > Part 7: A Dance With A Vampire Part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Bond Carved In Blood Part 7: A Dance With a Vampire Part 1 By: Major Frostwing Trains... God I hate trains. Most people like it because they can ride in the passenger cars me on the other hand. A bump threw me into the secured lid of my coffin. "FUCK I HATE TRAINS!" I yelled trying to not become to angry I had to be transported in my coffin it had the dirt from my homeland in it. I sighed as I accepted my fate in the infernal moving metal box. Chrysalis sat in one of the passenger cars with the other girls. She felt nervous sitting in the car without me at her side. "Chrysalis it won't be to long before we arrived." Twilight said smiling to her all Chrysalis could do was nod. "Once we do we can move Charles into the castle where he can finally get out of his bed." "Must be hard being a vampire so many weaknesses." Rainbow Dash said leaning back in her seat her hands behind her head. "But from what he told us Rainbow his powers are near limitless and have room to grow still." Twilight retorted. "Indeed Darling." Rarity chimed in. "Hemomancy is a very rare power and a very difficult magic to use yet he wields it like a natural." Twilight said sagely Chrysalis giggled. "That's only a fraction of his powers he is also a Pyromancer says he was given the power by another vampire along with many others." Twilight's jaw dropped. "He has only shown it to me once says he could learn more about the power from me." Chrysalis leaned back in her seat looking at the ceiling of the train car. "He is a mystery to us but for you Chrysalis he is like an open book." Rarity said smiling as she nudged her side. "Is there something going on between the two of you?" She asked as Chrysalis blushed a bright red. "Rarity that is private." Fluttershy said before retreating behind her hair. "I-if you don't mind me saying." She seemed to shrink as she spoke. "Girls we are here we should hurry and get Charles to the castle as quick as possible." Twilight stood walking towards the cargo area. ------------------------------ I sat in my coffin tapping my fingers on the lid. "Come on I want off of this bucket of bolts." I muttered very annoyed. A knock came on my lid as I stopped tapping my fingers I waited as the knock came again. "Cast the spell first I don't want a face full of sun when I open this lid." I felt the familiar tingling on my skin when it subsided I opened the coffin standing up. "I hate trains." I muttered closing and locking my coffin before picking it up securing it to my back. "You could have sat up front with us." I shook my head. "Vampires when being transported have to remain in our coffins they hold the soil of our homeland in them." I stated with a smile. "Anyway where are we going?" I asked as Twilight pointed at a very large castle. "Huh I thought it would be bigger." I said with a shrug. "It's smaller than my summer home." I didn't notice but the girls were looking at me with jaws dropped Chrysalis just walked next to me our arms locked together. "How bad was the ride?" Chrysalis asked me I only gave an annoyed look. "I fucking hate trains." I muttered as we moved towards the castle she giggled. ------------------------------ When we finally made it to the castle both me and Chrysalis were getting weird looks her because she was a Changeling and me... well I was carrying around a coffin on my back. "Our rooms are in one of the towers." Twilight said as a group of guards surround both Chrysalis and myself. They drew their weapons watching both of us carefully. "Halt you are with the an enemy of the crowns we are taking you into custody." I looked to Chrysalis shrugging. "Well then." I said looking to Twilight. "Do you want me to tell them or you?" I asked her smiling. I reached into my pocket about to pull something out when I felt a blade pierce my stomach. Everyone in the area except Chrysalis gasped in horror. "Well that kinda hurt." I muttered looking up at the guards that surrounded us. I pulled out the armband that had a large white V on it. "I am a guest to Princess Celestia herself and an ambassador of the Vampire Empire. I suggest pulling this blade out before I do something rash." The guard did so slowly backing away from me. "Charles are you alright?" I looked over to Twilight nodding as I stretched. "Yea nothing like a little blood loss before I go to a party." The guards backed away from me as I locked my arm with Chrysalis. "Shall we continue?" She smiled to me as I moved forward going to the castle. "OK there are a lot more strengths than weaknesses." Rainbow Dash said moving to follow after us. When we finally made it to the castle we were greeted by Luna and Celestia who looked at me with concern. "Charles what happened?" Luna asked walking to me. "A guard who still doesn't know that changelings are no longer enemies of the crown." I looked down at my stomach sighing. "He stabbed me when I tried to show him this." I adjusted the arm band smiling. "So Princess I would appreciate it and so would my body if your guards would be told this information before we enter the ball tonight." I placed my hand on my stomach sighing. "I will see that the guard is informed." Luna turned motioning for us to follow we did so happily. -------------------- I'm still laughing at how small this castle is compared to my own castle. "Princess Celestia I am a little underwhelmed by the size of your castle." I said walking through the halls she looked over her shoulder at me confused. "How so?" She asked leading us to our rooms. I only shrugged. "I'm not sure but this place seems small." I stated looking to the stained glass windows. "anyway I don't mean to insult you in any way." She still looked at me annoyed. "I'm serious it's a vampire thing to have a huge castle. A tradition of vampires is if you are of high ranking power you would either own a large castle or live in one with your night mother or night father." She looked away and all I could do was sigh. 'Good going Charles piss off the sun.' I said to myself before we all stopped in a corridor. "Your names are on the doors you can set your stuff in there and relax until the gala begins." Celestia smiled before leaving us to our devices. "Alright I am going to lay down before the gala." I said stretching moving into the room with Chrysalis' name and my own on it. When I finally got into the room I dropped my coffin on the ground it made a loud thud as it hit the ground. "So tired." I muttered as I opened the lid laying down inside I was about to close the lid when Chrysalis grabbed the top of the lid holding it open. "Charles do you mind if I sleep with you even if it is only for a little bit." I nodded moving over as she crawled inside with me. "It gets a little hot in here sometimes but I can use magic to keep it a certain temperature if you wish." Chrysalis only nuzzled closer to me seeming to fall asleep I fell asleep with her. I felt at peace and also was happy that I bought the deluxe coffin big enough to have 3 people sleep in it comfortably. I closed my eyes easing off to sleep I had to be awake in a few hours but I would sleep well in those few hours. A knock came to the door I just continued to sleep in my coffin with Chrysalis the door opened as Twilight entered the room looking around. "Where is Chrysalis?" She asked walking up to the coffin knocking on it. "Charles have you seen Chrysalis?" I knocked back telling her I was asleep. "Charles Chrysalis is missing wake up." She knocked on the coffin again. "She isn't missing Twilight now let me sleep." I said trying to go back to sleep. "So where is she?" She asked my eyes shot open as the lid exploded off of the casket. "Right next to me." I said with a glare the lid floated back over closing the casket silently. "No let me go back to sleep." Twilight just stood there her mind was barely registering what she had just seen. "Charles and Chrysalis are together..." She turned leaving the room placing her hand to her forehead. "The girls are going to have a field day with this." She muttered as she entered the room where all the other girls were. -------------------------------- I was in the bathroom getting ready in my suit that Rarity had designed for me specifically for this night. I looked at myself in the mirror sighing. "I have used this human visage for long enough." I ran my hand through my hair the black seemed to fade to a silver sheen. I smiled closing my eyes when I opened them again they were a dull gold. "I hope I don't freak them out with the sudden change." I examined my suit closely it was a dark red suit coat and pants with a black button up. I wore a white tie with the ensemble I straightened it before walking out into the main room Chrysalis looked at me I almost saw her jaw drop. "Charles?" She walked to me setting her hand on my cheek. "Is that you?" I smiled placing my hand on her cheek as well. "Indeed my dear this is how I look without my disguise I decided tonight was a special enough of a night to dissolve the mask and show you the real me." She smiled giving me a gentle hug which I promptly returned just as the door opened I looked over to see Twilight and the others staring slack jawed at Chrysalis and myself. "Well then." I muttered releasing my hug. "Knocking is a thing ladies you are old enough to know this." I scolded. "So how long has this been going on?" Rarity asked bouncing her hair. "OK here's the thing I am not doing a Q and A right now when we could be late to our arrival at the Gala." I looked to Chrysalis smiling. "Now Chrysalis we missed our dinner." I undid my collar exposing my neck to her as she moved her choker. She bit into my neck as I bit into hers. The girls only watched as we fed off of each other when we finished I sealed her wound as mine healed over. "Delicious as always Charles." Chrysalis said giving me a gentle kiss. "Not in front of the children my dear." I said with a chuckle Chrysalis only giggled as we turned towards the girls. "Shall we make our entrance?" I asked sliding my armband up my sleeve. They all nodded as we moved out into the hallway towards the main ballroom where we waited for our entrance to be announced. "And Finally allow me to introduce Charles Alexander Bishop of the Vampire Empire known as the The Flame of Hatred and the Blood of Night. He is accompanied by the Queen of the Changelings." There was an outcry of anger from the people. Something unexpected happened as the electricity suddenly cut out. The candles in the ball room ignited in green and red flames. Myself and Chrysalis entered the ballroom gracefully everyone stopped their outcries as we moved towards Celestia and Luna. We bowed to them smiling. "Princesses we thank you for the hospitality you have shown both of us." We stood up straight turning towards the people bowing to them as well. "And thank you for understanding us wanting to be accepted." I turned back towards Chrysalis taking hold of her hand walking down the stairs into the crowd people moved away from us as we walked. "Vampires are such showmen." Celestia said with a smile. The power started back up as the flames were extinguished. ----------------------------- I stood with Chrysalis drinking a glass of wine. No one approached us as we stood there I was enjoying the party for the most part yet I was annoyed that no one came to talk to us we were treated like the plague. "Enough of this I want to leave right now." I stated pulling out a cigarette. That's when I heard a lighter ignite next to me the flame moved to the end of my cigarette lighting it. "Thank you." I turned to see a man wearing a gentle blue suit he also had a monocle. "Your very much welcome sir." He said with a posh accent. "I do have to say you are wearing a very remarkable suit and the queen is wearing a beautiful dress as well." I smiled hooking my arm with Chrysalis's. "They are a creation of Lady Rarity's." I stated with a smile he seemed to know who I was talking about. "She is an excellent seamstess Mr...?" "Hoity Toity I am a dress maker as well." He extended his hand to me which I took shaking it. "I see even my aunt has to deal with trash every now and again." My attention turned towards the man who was speaking. "She does have to make the other peasants happy." I raised my eye brow to him. He had long blonde hair and light blue eyes. He wore a white suit he looked like some kind of prince. But guessing that he just called the princess aunt I will have to say I am correct. "Well then I have to say you have to be the biggest fool I have ever met insulting a vampire to his face." I sighed turning back to Hoity Toity. "Can you tell me who this fool is?" I asked his monocle popped off of his face as his jaw dropped. "He is Prince Blue Blood." I shrugged at his answer. "Do you dare call a prince a fool?" Blue blood motioned for the guards to come over. "Enough of your drabble young one." I said dismissing him with a wave. "You are insulting a high ranking vampire which if we were 300 years ago and in my world..." I turned to Chrysalis smiling. "Never mind I have much more important things to worry about." The guards stopped when they surrounded me. "So I would like to dance with my girlfriend now. So leave us be young one." I moved my hand shooing him away. "How dare you, you insolent peasant." He grabbed my suit coat. "You are the fool for trying to insult me." I turned to Chrysalis sighing. "I am becoming annoyed with you young prince." I grabbed his hand pulling it off of my suit. "I will give you one last chance to leave I suggest you take it." I let go of his hand. "Is there a problem?" Luna said walking up to us. I smiled looking at her. "I was just telling Blue Blood here to stop trying to start a diplomatic issue but he doesn't want to listen." I shrugged smiling. "Keeps calling Chrysalis and myself peasants even though I am a prince as well and Chrysalis is a queen." Chrysalis grabbed my hand squeezing it gently. "A queen of a race of criminals is no queen she is just a filthy mongrel." Blue Blood was about to say something else when my hand stopped just before his throat. "Sometimes young prince you need to think before you open that mouth of yours." I moved my hand down. "I'm sorry dear I lost myself for a second there." "It is alright Charles people like him never learn." She adjusted her hair turning towards Luna. "Can he be removed from the party please?" She asked Luna. "Guards take Blue Blood to his room where he will remain for the night." The guards moved into action escorting Blue Blood out of the room. "Thank you Night Mother." I said bowing to her. "I know not what I might have done if he continued to insult us." She giggled. "Blue Blood is a definite pain in the rear but he is still young he will learn eventually all of his words will one day effect the kingdom as well as himself." Chrysalis and myself nodded at her words. "Thank you again Luna." We both said as we stood up straight. "Do try to enjoy yourselves at the party." Luna gave a gentle wave as she left. "How can such a nephew come from the princesses?" I placed my hand to my forehead shaking it gently. "Oh well." I heard a new song start I turned to Chrysalis. "May I have this dance my dear?" I placed my hand over my heart and extended the other hand she took it as we walked out to the dance floor. "We danced slowly in the large open floor as a few more people entered the floor as well. I would have to say tonight was a lot of fun compared to other galas I have been to. > Part 8: A Dance With A Vampire Part 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Bond Carved In Blood Part 8: A Dance With A Vampire Part 2 By: Major Frostwing The song finally ended with Chrysalis and myself stepping off of the dance floor. We noticed Twilight and her friends we moved towards them when we were stopped by a group of people who wanted to ask us a few questions. "Can you answer us a few questions?" I looked at the people in front of us knowing who they were. "Why is the press here at such a pristine party?" I asked them slightly annoyed. "The press is allowed in to the gala as long as we have a ticket." The lead paparazzi said smiling he flipped open his notepad. "Now can you explain to us what a vampire is?" He asked as I shook my head. "Vampires are a very old breed from the other side of the world that is constantly covered in shadows." I began with a smile. "We have to drink blood to survive." I saw all of them freeze looking up to me with shocked looks on their faces. "We do not have to drink directly from the source most of us drink from blood packets it's safer and allows us to feed as much as we want." They sighed in relief. "Are you a potential enemy to the crown?" I looked to Chrysalis with a confused look on my face she could only giggle. "Really all the questions and that's the one you went with. First off, rude and second, I would not have helped with the treaty between the ponies and the changelings if I was an enemy to the crown." I adjusted my suit with a smile showing my fangs. "Now if you excuse me I have to speak with my friends." Chrysalis and myself moved past the paparazzi. They were about to ask me another question when I raised my hand to stop them. "Charles, are you enjoying the party?" Twilight asked walking to us smiling. "We are enjoying the festivities sadly a few people have only caused us problems but that is to be expected of the foolish prince." Twilight soured at the mention of the name. "Blue Blood?" She asked and I nodded. "He is such a brat and all he does is use women as trophies." She pinched the bridge of her nose sighing. "He is young when he is thrown into the real world it will smack him into shape." Chrysalis shook her head. "Yea and you're a normal pony." She joked. "I believe you just used sarcasm I thought I taught you better than that." She giggled at me. "Remember I am older than you your supposed to respect your elders." I waved a finger. "Yea older, by 3 years." She pouted. "Technicalities." I said dismissively. "Oh well let us go and walk through the garden all of us I want to show you something special for the night." Twilight raised her eye brow at me before getting the attention of her friends. They came over Rarity a little more hesitantly. "What's up." Rainbow said giving me a two finger salute. "Please don't do that salute to me but anyway lets go outside to the garden." I motioned for all of them to follow me. "Twilight." Rainbow stopped Twilight. "What's up with Charles he seems a little off tonight." She whispered to her. "I used to trust him but right now he seems more dangerous tonight." I turned looking back at Rainbow and Twilight I had nothing to fear with them so I continued on my way to the garden. "He is a vampire Rainbow they are still unknown for the most part in this world." Twilight said calmly. "Now let us go he is expecting us to follow him." Twilight walked after the group Rainbow did the same slightly annoyed. -------------------------------------------- We all arrived outside in the garden I looked to the sky noticing all of the bats flying around. "Here we go I just have to bring them to me." I said looking to the bats with a smile. "The animals here don't like anyone except the princesses." Fluttershy said slightly annoyed which made everyone turned to her. "I.. mean I-I'm sorry." She hid behind her hair. "It is alright Fluttershy but this is a vampire skill." I cupped my hands around my mouth letting out a loud single ping. Everyone covered their ears at how loud it was. The bats turned flying down to me they hovered floating around me. "Hello comrades of the night." I held out my hand as five landed on my fingers hanging upside down. "Can you help me with a little trick?" I heard a few pings of them talking to me. "Alright let us go up into the air." They nodded taking to the sky I followed after them. "What is he doing?" Rainbow asked watching me. "How can he fly without wings?" I only chuckled as I reached my height. The bats circled me at a rapid speed a small cloud of dust fell from the small cyclone of bats. They dispersed flying off in separate directions The girls looked around seeing no sign of me. "Up here." I said sitting on a balcony above them. A few bats rested on my shoulders as the girls looked up seeing me. "A small vampire trick know as a familiar teleport but a lot of us call it "Batting out."" I used quotations using my fingers. "Vampire magic is very interesting." Twilight said eye practically shining from the thought of new knowledge. I jumped off the balcony landing next to them with a gentle tap. "I have to say Charles you are a very interesting man." Rarity said batting her eyelashes at me. "Sorry Rarity but I'm taken." I said walking over to Chrysalis. "She is a beautiful woman." Chrysalis blushed looking away smiling. "How did you tame these bats?" Fluttershy said reaching to pet one but it screeched I placed my hand on it's head. "She is a friend be nice." I said as the bat let out a tiny click before climbing over to Fluttershy's hand. "See she is nice so you should be nice as well." The other bats flew up landing on the other girls. "When we go to inside go back to your night my friends." They all let out tiny clicks. "You seem to be very good with animals Charles." Fluttershy said petting the bat. "Only certain animals mostly predators other animals run from me because I am a greater predator than all others." The bat on my shoulder let out a loud click as the others perked up looking off in a direction towards the Everfree Forest. "What is wrong?" I asked him as he clicked again. "I see..." I muttered looking off at the forest. "Ladies do me a favor." I bit into my wrist letting the blood flow freely onto the ground. "Go inside and inform the guards that there is a very large creature coming this way." Twilight was about to protest when the blood raised up to my hand forming an orb along with a spear. "Alright Charles." Chrysalis said moving into the ball room pulling the others in with her magic. ------------------------------- I stood waiting for the creature to come into view it was a large bird easily 20 foot long 80 foot wingspan. "Well then aren't you a large one." I adjusted the spear in my hand pulling back and launching it forward towards the bird I saw it hit the wing of the creature. "So sad." I clenched my fist as the spear exploded into spikes impaling the creature making it fall. "Get up I'm not finished with you." I muttered spinning the orb of blood around me. I saw a second bird launch out of the trees towards the castle. I heard the door behind me kick open as guards rushed out spears at the ready. "On the ground monster." They ordered me I only sighed forming a second spear out of my blood pool. "Focus on the true enemy you fools." I said pulling back my arm letting loose the spear towards the bird it dodged by spinning towards me. I raised my hands as my orb spread out in front of me in a net formation I pushed it out launching it towards the bird it was caught in it but ripped through it. "Dammit." I raised my hands catching it's beak it pushed me back slamming me into the wall I felt it's beak pierce my chest as I was pushed through the wall by the force of it hitting me. The party goers screamed running out of the castle ballroom. The bird lifted me into the air throwing me through a pillar. The bird let out a large screech moving through the room trying to attack the party goers when it was about to strike someone a piece of a pillar slammed into the head of the creature knocking it off course. "You large fucking feather brain." I yelled standing up from the rubble. "I'm going to eat you now." I began walking towards the bird as it turned it's attention to me. It screeched at me before charging me. I raised my hand as it slammed into it, it suddenly stopped as I stood there glaring at the creature. "My turn." I said with a smile I crushed my hand on the creatures beak lifting it up before slamming it to the ground. "Fuck." I lifted the creature again slamming it back down. "YOU!" I proceeded to only lift it's head and slam it into the ground repeatedly. "YOU RUINED MY SUIT!" I continued on slamming it to the ground before letting go walking to it's neck. I snapped my fingers as flames erupted around it's neck burning off it's feathers. My teeth sunk into the neck of the creature drinking until I had my fill. Moving away the blood poured out of it's neck wound. "Now that won't do I want more." I pulled my hand back as it's blood was pulled out of it's body by force I saw the light fade from it's eyes as it died. The blood I had collected spilled on the floor rolling out of ballroom doors down the steps. I saw the door open as a few guards entered the room what they saw made them freeze in fear. "What is wrong? Move out of the way." Chrysalis said moving past them but froze looking at me. What she saw was me covered head to toe in blood with the large creature dead at my feet. "Sorry looks like I made a mess." I shrugged raising my hand as the blood flowed back into the room forming hundreds of orbs of blood. "I will clean this up right away." The blood surrounded the creature lifting it up out of the broken wall. "FOUR!" I yelled As the creature launched out back into the Everfree forest. It crashed through the trees coming to a stop a ways in the forest edge. "Much better." I said placing my hands on my hips triumphant. "Charles I am happy that you stopped the beast but did you have to caused such a mess." Chrysalis slammed her fist on the back of my head. "For a very old vampire you are as messy as a child." She shook her head scolding me. "You can try to act your age." She slapped my head again. "Dear stop hitting me." I covered my head with my arms as she continued to hit me. "I have to agree with Chrysalis, Charles." Twilight said walking up to me. "That was a little to violent for normal people to see. "Ok so let me get this straight." I began looking up to them. "I shouldn't have helped everyone and just let it do what it wanted." I said standing up stretching. "Can I go to bed now the sun will be up soon." They shook their heads before pointing off in the direction of the rooms. "Thank you." a orb of blood surrounded me completely. The blood seemed to just fade out of existence leaving no trace of me ever being in the room.
