> The Trainer of Friendship > by darkmage1997 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1: A spell and a trainer > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a beautiful day in the land of Equestria, and here in the scenic little town of Ponyville where the castle of friendship resided. And inside, Princess Twilight Sparkle was busily teaching her children, Nyx, Joshua, Trinity, and Crystal a teleportation spell that teleports something from one point, to another. "Ok kids, to teleport, you need to focus on where you want to go, and build up enough magic energy to use as a grappling hook at the location you want," Twilight explained. "Sounds easy enough," Josh commented. "Doubtful, it took me 3 months to get one teleportation spell down pat without problem," Twilight smirked at her son. "But you can teleport without any problem now!" Crystal squeaked, causing her mother to blush. "Well, yeah, so now it's time for you to learn how to teleport, the way I did," Twilight explained. "Now then, start by charging up some magic," she instructed, looking at her children, who did as she said. "Good, now focus on just over to the door," she instructed, and Trinity and Crystal were able to do it, but Josh on the other hand, wasn't so lucky. A sharp pain shot through his head, and he began to lose focus. When this happens, the spell usually fails, but it didn't stop when Josh fired beams of energy from his hands. Twilight was getting really worried. After a while, Josh was able to stop his magic, and when he did, he was scooped up into a comforting hug, "Oh Joshua, are you ok my sweet little baby?" Twilight asked like any worried mother would've asked her child who was in pain. "I'm ok mommy, but what was all that magic that happened? I thought you said that when a sharp pain occurs and when you start to lose focus, the spell stops," Josh asked with curiosity. Twilight then lit her horn to try and check what it was, and when she finished, she gasped with surprise. "Well, the good news is that what ever spell you cast didn't hurt anyone in anyway, but you did something very unusual," Twilight explained. "What did he do mommy?" Trinity asked looking up at her mother. "Instead of teleporting something, Joshua summoned something," Twilight answered. This made the children gasp. Just then, Spike came running in, with a scroll in his claw. "Message from Cadence!" he said giving Twilight the scroll. After reading it over, Twilight gasped in shock. "What is it Mommy?" Crystal asked with worry. "Cadence wants me and all of you to come with me and my friends to the Crystal Empire! Apparently, there is another human there, with a lot of strange creatures," Twilight explained, looking at her children who all had wide smiles on their faces. "WE'RE GOING TO THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE AND VISIT AUNTIE CADENCE!" they all squealed with delight. With a slight giggle, Twilight gently spoke up, "Ok, you go and get our friends, and I'll stay behind and pack our things," Twilight said with a smile. "Ok Mommy, we'll be back in a few minutes. we love you!" they chorused. "Mommy loves you too, now come back safely!" Twilight called to her children as they ran out to go and find their friends. "What was all that about?" Twilight heard the voice of her eldest son, Cory, who was standing behind her, with Kelly nodding in agreement. "We're going to go and visit Cadence," Twilight simply said. "AUNTIE CADENCE?!" Kelly squeaked excitedly. "Yep, and there's another human there with a bunch of strange creatures too," she explained. "Did she say what they were?" Cory asked curiously. "According to the letter, the new human called them, Pokemon," Twilight replied. Earlier, in the Johto regions Mahogany Town, It was here, in the peaceful outskirts of Mahogany Town where a young Pokemon trainer named William resided on his enormous Pokemon ranch, where he took care of his Pokemon. He was looking out onto the ranch to see all the Pokemon walking around, playing with each other, or just napping. He smiled as he saw how peaceful it was on the ranch, but then, he noticed one of his Psychic Pokemon just standing still, without a single twitch. This was Mewtwo, the Genetic Pokemon. Feeling concerned, William walked over to his Pokemon, "Hey Mewtwo, are you ok?" he asked the feline like Pokemon, who then looked to see his master standing behind him. "No, and I must say, it has been quite peaceful here on the ranch, no more tournaments to enter, no more long journeys. No, I was just making sure everyone was staying in order," Mewtwo replied with a small but warm smile. "Yeah, I know what you mean, but it would be nice to get out of the ranch and go another journey," Will said, reminiscing on all the amazing places he had traveled. Just then, another Pokemon came rushing towards them. It was a small tortoise like Pokemon, with red hexagons on its shell. "TORKOAL!" the little tortoise cried to its master. "What, what is it Torkoal?" Will asked his fire Pokemon. "He's saying that something's happening in the sky," Mewtwo said. After that, Will, Mewtwo, and Torkoal all looked up to see a swirling vortex. Just then, they felt themselves being pulled in. Looking over at the Pokeball storage area, Will saw everyone of his Pokeballs being sucked up. Looking up, Will saw that the vortex was sucking all his Pokemon and the Pokeballs up, and he soon found himself being sucked in too. "Oh no! Oh my God! HOLD ON EVERYONE!" he called to all his Pokemon, who were all screaming in terror. After being sucked up, Will found himself, and his Pokemon all floating above what appeared to be a kingdom made of crystal. "Whoa, this is amazing!" Will commented, but then he realized that he and his Pokemon were not on a solid surface, and they began to fall, except Mewtwo, and all of Wills flying type Pokemon. They screamed in terror as they fell. Mewtwo was about to catch his master and everyone else with his psychic powers, but something beat him to the punch. Will and all his Pokemon opened their eyes to see they were being held in some sort of light blue magic aura, and were slowly being lowered to the ground. He looked around and saw a bright pink horse creature, with a horn and wings, with pink, gold, and purple in her mane, and a shiny crown on her head. "Are you all ok? That would've been a nasty fall if I didn't hear your screams," she said in a loving tone. This made Will very shocked. "HOW CAN YOU TALK?! And who are you?!" he asked hysterically. "I'm guessing this is the first time you've met a talking pony, am I right?" she asked with a soft smile. Will only nodded. "Ok, and as for who I am, I am Princess Cadence, I rule here in the Crystal Empire, with my husband, Shining Armor," she replied answering Wills question of who she is. "Ok, so now can you answer this? How did we get to this 'Crystal Empire' in the first place?" they heard a voice say, and when Will turned, he was shocked to see his Raichu covering his mouth, with an equally shocked expression. "Did I just speak English?!" Raichu asked with surprise. "You did, and I did too!" they the turned their attention to Wills Gardevoir, who was surprised to be speaking in English. "It appears that everyone can speak English here," said Wills Magmortor, who had a smug look on his face. "Well, to answer Raichus question, I saw a big swirling vortex open up above the Crystal Empire, and saw all of you falling out of it, and it was impossible to miss you all, what with those two big serpentine creatures right there," Cadence said, pointing a hoof to Wills Gyarados, Rayquaza and Steelix. "Huh, I guess being big really saved our skin just now Gyarados," Steelix commented with everyone nodding in agreement. "Tell me about it," Gyarados said with surprise in his tone, despite his usual angry expression. "Mommy! What's goin' on out..." they heard a Southern accent speak, and turned to see Cadences son, Nathan, who had a look of joy filled shock on his face. "Allow me to introduce my son, Nathan, Nathan, these are some new friends that may possibly be staying with us until we can get them back home," Cadence told her son, who slowly walked over to the many strange creatures, with only pure joy on his face. "Real...Pokemon," he muttered. This made Cadence worried, so she scooped up Nathan, and tried to see what was wrong. "Nathan sweetie, what's wrong?" Cadence asked, wanting to keep her son comforted. "Huh? Oh, nothing, it's just, ah never expected to see real Pokemon before!" Nathan exclaimed with a joy filled sigh. "Is that what these creatures are? Pokemon?" Cadence asked incredulously. "Yep, and these are only a handful of the many species there are," Will explained with a proud smirk, which soon turned into a look of confusion, "And what do you mean 'real Pokemon' kid?" he asked the small child with bat wings. "The world ah came from only had Pokemon as a video game, trading card game, toy line, etc." Nathan explained, which shocked Will and all his Pokemon. "Whoa, well, my name is William, but you can call me Will," Will introduced himself. "You know, you can go around and have a look at all the Pokemon I have, if you want," he said to the bat winged boy who had an incredibly wide smile on his face. "Can Ah Mommy?" Nathan turned to look at his mother, who then looked at the trainer. "None of these Pokemon creatures are dangerous, are they?" she asked looking at the young trainer with a soft, yet serious expression. "Don't worry your majesty, they're all trained so they won't attack unless I tell them to, because that's when they can be dangerous," Will replied with a serious face of his own. "Well, as long as they don't hurt him, then Nathan can go and look at these creatures," Cadence said with a softened expression, and let Nathan down so he can walk over to see the Pokemon. "THANKS MOMMY AND WILL!" Nathan said before walking over to meet all the Pokemon in Wills collection. "So, what now?" Will asked turning towards the pink alicorn. "I should get a letter to my Aunt Celestia and sister in law, Twilight Sparkle, who are also Princesses like me," Cadence replied with a smile. "Very well, I guess I can stay out here and keep everyone in check," Will said turning his attention to the large group of Pokemon, who was mingling with the young boy with bat wings. "Ok, I'll go and write those letters now," Cadence said before trotting inside. "Hey Will, what are these necklaces around some of your Pokemons necks?" Nathan asked pointing to the necklaces. "Those necklaces have a special stone, called a Mega Stone in them, which, with the aid of my Mega Ring, allows my Pokemon to surpass normal evolution, but unlike regular evolution, Mega evolution is temporary, so they'll go back to their original forms after a battle," Will explained, which intrigued Nathan. "Where did ya get the Mega Stones?" Nathan asked curiously. "I first discovered Mega Evolution when I journeyed through the Kalos region, and after I was finished there, I was called back to the Hoenn region b my friend, Steven Stone, who informed me of even more Mega Stones scattered around the Hoenn region, so I went to go and collect one of every Mega Stone I could find," Will explained, which made Nathan even more intrigued. "Can ya show me a Mega Evolved Pokemon?" he asked politely. "Think you can wait until the other princesses are here, so I won't have to repeat the demonstration?" Will asked politely. "Oh, ok," Nathan replied with a defeated tone. "Hey, don't sound so glum, all good thing come to those who wait," Will reassured him. Just then, Will saw Mewtwo flyover to him, with every Pokeball that was sucked in. Nathan was shocked to see a Mewtwo under a humans control. "How did ya get a Mewtwo?!" Nathan asked with excitement. "I caught Mewtwo after I defeated the Kanto Elite Four," Will explained, hold up a Master Ball. "So, ya caught Mewtwo a Master Ball?" Nathan asked looking at the Master Ball Will was holding. "Yep, same with the Rayquaza you see up there," Will said pointing up to the large green serpent like Pokemon. "Whoa! You even caught Legendary Pokemon?" Nathan asked in awe at the Rayquaza that was flying around and looked to see a Darkrai, Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, along with a Deoxys. "Yep, it was tough to get them, but I eventually caught the ones I wanted to catch," Will explained.. Just then, Cadence walked out with her husband, Shining Armor. Nathan ran over to them, and gave them a big hug. "It's like a dream come true Mommy and Daddy," he said looking up at his parents. "Your son sure loves Pokemon, he reminds me of myself when I was his age, always wanting to adventure out and see new Pokemon and people," Will commented. "He must love them, he has posters all over his room," Shining said gaining a whack in the back of his head with Cadences wing. "Oww! What was that for?!" he asked looking at his wife, who just flicked her mane at him. "I sent a letter to Aunt Celestia and Twilight, and they'll be here in a few hours," Cadence informed the Pokemon trainer. "Ok, I guess that gives me some time to relax a while before I meet them," Will said walking over to a tree and sat under it with a sly smile on his face. > Chapter 2: The Elements of Harmony and a race > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So, would you mind telling us what this whole trip to the Crystal Empire is about again, Twilight?" Applejack asked her alicorn friend. "I told you already Applejack, there's another human in the Crystal Empire, from an Earth that definitely is different from where our precious angels of children are from," replied Twilight, from which all the human children just blushed at her statement, but then Toby kindly raised his hand. "Uh, Auntie Twilight, how is this new human different from the rest of us?" he asked curiously, with the others nodding in agreement. "According to the letter, this new human is accompanied by strange creatures called Pokemon," Twilight explained to her nephew. "Oh! I know what pokemon are!" Joshua said realizing what his mother was talking about. "Ok, so what are Pokemon?" Nyx asked her little brother. "They're creatures that have amazing powers, some control fire, others live in water, and there are even those who can have the element of grass," Josh explained. Nyx nodded in understanding, "But, they only appeared as a T.V. show, a video game series, a card game, and some other stuff," Josh added on. Just then, they heard the train pulling into the station. "ALL ABOARD THATS GOING ABOARD! NEXT STOP, THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE!" the conductor called. "Well, that's us, lets go everyone," Twilight said leading them to the train. As soon as they were seated inside, the train began to move. "Ok, when we get the Empire, we need to make sure that this new human feels welcome, as well as these Pokemon creatures," Twilight explained. Everyone nodded at the plan, but then Fluttershy kindly spoke up. "Uh but Twilight, what we can't make them feel welcome?" she asked with worry in her voice. "Don't worry Fluttershy, I'm 100% sure we can make them feel welcome," Twilight reassured her Pegasus friend. "I hope you're right," Fluttershy said with unease. Meanwhile, with Celestia and Luna, "So, we just have to make sure this William and his creatures that he calls Pokemon feel welcome?" Luna asked her sister, as they were heading in a chariot with their children, Chris, Timmy, and Drake. "Yes little sister, if we can extend our friendship to these new creatures, then maybe the magic of friendship can be extended to new lands," Celestia explained to her sister. Just then, they could see Gyarados, Steelix, and Rayquaza all hanging around the Empire. "Are those the Pokemon?! They're huge!" Celestia shouted with surprise. "No, these are only three of the many species of Pokemon there is, and Rayquaza is known as a legendary Pokemon," Timmy explained, which made the others look at him curiously, "What? Just because my mommy and Daddy didn't want me doesn't mean I never watched TV," Timmy said deadpanning. "Well, then could you maybe tell us what each of those large Pokemon are?" Celestia asked her nephew. "Well, I can remember that that large green one is a Rayquaza, that gray one is Steelix, and," Timmy cut himself off in amazement to see that the Gyarados down there was red, "And that's a shiny Gyarados!" he said in surprise. This made the others curious. "Timmy sweetie, can you tell us what you mean by shiny?" Luna asked her son. "When the term shiny is applied to a Pokemon, it means that it's a different color. And before you ask, Gyarados are normally blue," Timmy explained as the chariots came to a land, in front of Cadence, Shining Armor, Nathan, and the Elements of Harmony, and their families. "Hello Aunt Celestia, I take it you got my letter?" Cadence asked, looking at her aunt with a smile. "We did, now if I may ask, where is this new human?" Celestia asked looking around. "He's napping over by that tree," Shining Armor said, pointing a hoof towards the tree that Will was snoozing under. Will heard the commotion in his sleep, and slowly began to wake up. Stretching, he looked over to where the ponies were, and slowly standing up, he walked over to them. As soon as he got to the group, he politely introduced himself, "It's nice to meet you all, as Cadence said, my name is William, but you can call me Will," Will said, bowing his head in respect for the two alicorn sisters. "There is no reason to bow to us, you aren't an official Equestrian citizen like our children," Celestia said with a giggle, looking at her son and the other humans. The fact that there were human children in a land of magical talking ponies got Will curious. "Well, if it's not too much trouble, can you tell me how they all got to Equestria in the first place?" Will asked. And so the children all told their respective stories. "Whoa, sorry about all you went through," Will said, feeling guilty. "Don't worry about it," Toby reassured the young trainer. Just then, Toby felt something land on his head. "Uh, Will? What's on my head?" Toby asked, feeling nervous about what might be on his head. "That would be one of my speedy Pokemon, Ninjask," Will explained. "Ninjask! I told you not to land on everyone's head!" Will scolded the ninja Pokemon. "Sorry boss, but I just love to hug heads," Ninjask said, with a happy expression. Everyone, save for Will, Nathan, and Cadence, were shocked to hear the bug Pokemon talk. "How can your Ninjask talk?!" Josh asked hysterically. "Something about the magic in Equestria must be translating their normal speech patterns," Will theorized, which everyone just nodded in agreement. Just then, there was a huge explosion. Turning towards the castle, they all saw smoke rising. "What happened?!" Will said, taking off like a rocket to investigate. When he got there, he saw that a devil dog and a black and blue lion both glaring each other down with the other Pokemon trying to keep out of the crossfire. "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" Will yelled, which made all of his Pokemon jump. "Houndoom used her flamethrower on me!" the lion said, glaring at Houndoom. "Well, Luxray stepped on my tail!" Houndoom cried, looking at her tail. "I don't care WHO started it, just make up! Remember, we're guests here," Will scolded the two Pokemon as if they were children bickering over who gets the TV at a certain time. The feuding lion and devil dog soon cowered under their masters glare. "SORRY FOR STEPPING ON YOUR TAIL HOUNDOOM!" Luxray quickly apologized, extending his paw to the dark and fire Pokemon. "I'M SORRY FOR TORCHING YOU, IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN!" Houndoom said, extending her paw to shake with Luxray. They both looked up and saw their masters expression soften. "Good, now I expect no more scuffles while we're here," Will said with a smile, turning to the ponies and humans, who were all shocked to see how he handled breaking up the fight. "What? This isn't the first fight I had to break up," Will said, looking at the large family with a deadpan expression. "It's not that, it's just we're wondering how those two were able to cause such an explosion," Celestia clarified. "Oh, well, Houndooms flamethrower might've mixed with one of Luxrays electric attacks," Will explained. "W-what d-do you m-mean by 'attacks'?" Serenity asked, hiding behind her big brother. "Well, one of the major sporting events we have in the world of Pokemon is the Pokemon battles," Will began, before being cut off when Fluttershy got in his face with her infamous "Stare". "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU FORCE THESE INNOCENT CREATURES TO FIGHT AGAINST EACH OTHER?! WHAT KIND OF AN OWNER ARE YOU?!" Fluttershy seethed with anger. "Calm down, the battles are like exercise for them, and I don't force them," Will said, trying to clarify things. This seemed to calm Fluttershy down a little. "And you should be happy to know that I no longer participate in battle tournaments, me and my Pokemon are all retired," Will added on, which calmed Fluttershy down a little bit more. "So, you don't battle anymore?" Trinity asked, looking up at Will. "Correct, but it's difficult to avoid a battle nowadays, considering that trainers come from all around to have a battle with me, I had five challengers the other day, and my teams all mopped the floor with them," Will said, giving a bored sigh. "Are you saying, you and your Pokemon don't want to battle anymore?" Toby asked the trainer. "Yep, but the challengers are all too persistent, I tell them I don't battle anymore, but they won't take no for an answer," Will said with a bored expression on his face. "But let's forget about all that and move on to another set of questions," Will said, his expression perking up a bit. He then saw Rainbow Dashes hoof go up. "You said that this 'Ninjask' Pokemon was a speedster, right? I want to see haow fast it can go," She said with a confident smile on his face, but then Nathan politely spoke up. "But Rainbow, Ah asked him if we could see a 'Mega Evolution' when y'all got here," Nathan said, looking into Rainbows magenta eyes. "Well, why don't we see a Mega Evolution and have a race at the same time?" Will suggested. "What do ya mean?" Nathan asked, looking up at the trainer. "I can have Ninjask and Mega Blaziken race Rainbow Dash, if that's ok with her," Will said looking at the rainbow maned Pegasus. "Sure, why not? The more, the merrier I say," Rainbow said smugly. "Then lets go to the track so we can start the race," Shining Armor said, leading the group of ponies, humans and Pokemon to the track. As soon as they got to the track, Will then signaled both Ninjask and Blaziken to take their positions on the track, and as Rainbow Dash and the two Pokemon took their places on the track, Will raised his hand, and touched the blue stone in his bracelet, "Ok Blaziken, MEGA EVOLVE!" Will called as energy began to emit from the ring, which was reacting to the necklace around Blazikens neck. As soon as the energies touched, Blaziken was enveloped in a bright pink light, which began to mega evolve Blaziken. The yellow fur on Blazikens body turned black, and bands of flames began to grow from Blazikens wrists. To top it all off, the hair on Blazikens head, which was normally hanging off of his head began to stand straight up. After the Mega Evolution was complete, Blaziken let out a fierce battle cry, which echoed through the coliseum. The ponies, and humans were all flabbergasted at what they just witnessed. "How is that possible?" Twilight asked looking at Will. "It's all because of the mega stone, a special type of stone that can allow a certain species of Pokemon to Mega Evolve, which is triggered by this Key Stone." Will explained, seeing the looks of awe on everyone's faces, he then turned to Nathan who was standing there in shock, "Watch closely Nathan, because all of Blazikens stats just got a boost, and he gained a new ability," Will said to the young child. "What would that be then?" Nathan asked, looking up at the trainer. "Speed Boost. Mega Evolution not only boosts the power of a Pokemon, but also equips them with a new ability," Will explained. After the explanation, he then walked up next to the track to explain the rules, "Ok, this will be a ten lap race around the track. I want a clean race, no biting, kicking etc." And with that, he was about to tell them to begin, when Regice came up. "Regice, what's up?" Will asked the iceberg Pokemon. "If it's ok with all of you, I wish to race as well," Regice explained. "How can you race against us?" Rainbow Dash asked confusedly. "Regice can freeze the track, and can move a lot faster on ice," Will explained, to which the ponies all nodded. "Ok, Regice, use ice beam!" Will commanded the icy pokemon. A light blue beam created by Regice was fired, and froze the track completely. Everyone there was surprised at how fast the ice pokemon was able to freeze the track. "Alright, now, BEGIN THE RACE!" Will called, and with that, the racers shot of like a rocket. Rainbow Dash was way out in front, but the Pokemon were able to catch up to her quickly. "Heh, you're all pretty fast," Rainbow commented. "You are too," Blaziken commented back. Just then, he and Ninjask both began to speed up. 'That must be the Speed Boost that Will was talking to Nathan about,' Rainbow thought to herself, before speeding up her self, with Regice following in close pursuit. After about five minutes the race had ended with all four racers crossing the finish line at the same time, "Who won?!" Rainbow Dash said, looking at the group. "It was a tie! A four way tie!" Twilight explained, which made Rainbows jaw drop like a brick. "That was amazing mom!" Vibrant said, flying over to her mother, who was out of breath. "Regice, Ninjask, and Blaziken, that was exceptional work out there," Will said, praising his Pokemon. "Thank You sir!" The three said in unison. "So, what now?" Applejack asked. "Why not show him and his Pokemon around Ponyville?" Pinkie Pie suggested. "We could, but then how can we hide his Pokemon?" Twilight asked with worry. "Not to worry, I got what we need," He said, holding up a couple Pokeballs. "How can those balls help hide you Pokemon?" Charity asked the Pokemon trainer. "Observe," Will said, pointing a Master ball at his Rayquaza, "Alright, RAYQUAZA, RETURN!" Will called, holding the Master Ball, which shot a red beam at the large green dragon, which then was recalled into the Master Ball. The ponies were shocked at how he did that. "How did you do that?" Fluttershy asked curiously. "It's how Pokeballs are created, able to call out, and recall Pokemon. There are quite a number of different types of Pokeball, each with a different capture function. I can show you what kinds there are, once we can get to this Ponyville place," Will explained with a smile on his face. "What do you mean 'capture'?" Season Harvest asked, looking up at Will. "As I said, all explanations will be made as soon as we get to Ponyville," Will simply replied. "Well, the quickest way to Ponyville is by train, so can you make the explanations there?" Twilight asked. "I don't see why not, sure," Will replied. "Great! Now lets get to the train station right away," Twilight said leading the group to the station, leaving Will to recall all of his Pokemon before joining the ponies. "Bye Cadence, Shining, and Nathan! It's been nice seeing you again!" Twilight called to her brothers family, who waved back. Before Will was able to leave, he felt a hoof on his shoulder, and turned to see Celestia, looking at him with a soft, and warm smile. "I guess I'll see you again," she said before walking with her son and sister and her sons back to the royal chariots. Will then saw Cadence and Shining Armor walking up to him. "We shall visit you when we can," Cadence said with a smile. And with that, Will went to catch up with the ponies. After some walking, they were finally at the train station, where Twilight got the tickets for everyone, Will included. "Ok, when we get to Ponyville, we are to show Will around," Twilight said with a smile, which everyone nodded. As soon as the train pulled in, they boarded and shoved off for Ponyville. > Chapter 3: Ponyville and Metagross > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilights point of view As Will explained how those "Pokeballs" of his worked to catch Pokemon, I became even more intrigued as to what they could do. He explained how the red and white Pokeballs were standard capture units, how the blue and white Pokeballs with red spikes on them, which he called Great Balls, worked to catch Pokemon slightly better than a standard Pokeball, how the black and white Pokeballs with yellow markings, which he said were called Ultra Balls, had a higher catch rate than the Great Balls, and he explained how the purple and white Pokeballs with a "M" on the top with red dome like objects were called Master Balls, and how they were able to catch any Pokemon without failure. As he continued to explain, I noticed my sweet little Joshua looking down with a saddened frown on his face. Feeling concerned, I walked over to see if he was feeling sick. "Joshua? Is something wrong sweetheart?" I asked my youngest son with care, as not to frighten him. Looking up, I saw a scared look in his eyes, "O-oh, I'm ok mommy," he replied, but I could tell he was hiding something. "Now Joshua, it's ok to tell me. I promise I won't be mad at you for anything. Now tell Mommy what's wrong," I said, wrapping my wing around him for comfort. "I'm sorry for lying to you Mommy about nothing being wrong, but I think it's my fault that Will is here in the first place," he sadly said, laying his head against my chest. "Shh, it's ok, I'm not mad at you, and I don't want you to think it's your fault that Will is here in the first place, ok?" I asked him, with a reassuring tone. Looking up at me with a reassured smile, Joshua then hugged my forelegs, "Ok Mommy, thank you for that," he said without any shakiness in his voice like before. "You're very welcome sweetie, now lets go back to the group, ok, and we'll figure out what to do about how Will got here later, ok?" I asked him, leading him back to the group. "Ok Mommy, but I sure hope Will and his Pokemon won't be too mad at me," Joshua replied, with a bit of unease in his voice. "Shh, don't worry about it, I'm sure he won't be too mad," I said, reassuring him again. When we got back to the group, Will was still explaining special Pokeballs. Third Person View "...And that brings us to the apricorn Pokeballs," Will said, continuing his explanation. Just then, Mike raised his hand. "What are apricorns?" he asked "They're a type of fruit that can be made into special Pokeballs, depending on what apricorn you have," Will replied. "And what types of apricorns are there?" Melody asked curiously. "There are red, blue, yellow, green, pink, black, and white apricorns. If memory serves, red apricorns make a Fast Ball, which is used to catch a Pokemon at the start of the battle, blue apricorns make Lure Balls, which can be used on Pokemon that were encountered by fishing, yellow equals Level Balls, which makes catching a lower level Pokemon easier, Green makes a Friend Ball, which can help strengthen the friendship between a trainer and Pokemon, pink makes Love Balls, which can be used to catch opposite gender Pokemon, black apricorns are made into a Heavy Ball, for Pokemon that are super heavy, and finally a white Apricorn can be crafted into a Moon Ball, for catching a Pokemon that can evolve with a Moon Stone," Will explained. Just then, Melody raised her hand, "What's a Moon Stone?" she asked curiously. "It sounds pretty!" Kelly commented. "Oh, it is. It allows certain Pokemon, like Clefairy to evolve," Will explained. "Can you show us a Moon Stone?" Trinity asked with an adorable twinkle in her eyes. "I would if I could, but all the stones in my collection are back in my storage room on my ranch," Will said with a slight chuckle. Just then, they felt the train start to slow down. Looking out the train, Will could see an old Medieval style town up ahead. "I'm going to assume that's Ponyville?" Will asked, looking at the group. "Yep! And don't worry, all the ponies of Ponyville are really nice, so you don't have to worry about being treated poorly," Twilight reassured him. "I hope you're right," Will said, a bit uneasy. As the train pulled to a stop, the ponies lead the trainer out the carriage. Once outside, Will saw everyone at the station began to stare at him with surprised looks on their faces. Leaning over to Twilights ear, he whispered, "Uh, Twilight, why are they all staring at me like that?" he asked her, looking around the group. "Oh, that's because there aren't any other human adults other than Chris here in Equestria, so they must be surprised to see another adult here," Twilight explained. "Ok, so, where should we go first?" Will asked, looking around at the group. Rarity was about to speak up, when they heard a mares voice shout "STOP THIEF!" Turning towards where the voice came from, and saw that the tomato stall keeper was chasing a black earth stallion, with a red mane and blue eyes with a treasure chest full of produce on his flank. "Just give up! I will never follow any laws passed by those second rate princesses anymore!" the stallion yelled back. This infuriated Twilight and her friends and family. "STOP RIGHT THERE!" Twilight yelled in her Royal Canterlot voice. As soon as the stallion saw Twilight, he quickly changed direction, and ran away from her. "NO! Your laws are no longer worth abiding!" the stallion snapped at her. Rainbow Dash was about to chase him, but then Will raised his arm and stopped her, "Please, may I try to catch him?" Will asked casually. It was a wave of nods from the mares that made him pull out one of his Pokeballs, "Ok, Metagross, I CHOOSE YOU!" he yelled as he threw the Pokeball. When the Pokeball popped open, a rather large mechanical looking Pokemon popped out. It was bluish grey in color, and had a large X on its face with a nasty scar, and had four large legs on four sides of its head. "Metagross, use Psychic on that stallion right there, and bring him back here!" Will instructed, pointing towards the stallion. "You got it boss," Metagross replied, before its eyes began to glow light blue. As the stallion was running, he soon found himself no longer moving. He turned his head to see that he was being brought back over to where the mane 6 were at, and boy were they mad. "I'll take that!" the stall keeper said, taking the bag away from the stallion. "Thank you for stopping him for me," she said, looking at Will. "You should be thanking Metagross. He was the one who caught the thief," Will corrected her, looking at his tank like Pokemon. When the stall keeper saw the large Pokemon, she smiled nervously, but she saw that it was very considerate in stopping the thief. "Thank you Metagross for stopping this thief," she hesitantly but politely said. "It was no trouble at all madam," Metagross said with the gesture of a smile. The mare nodded, and returned to the farmers market. Turning her attention back to the stallion, Twilight immediately went into interrogation mode, "I want you to tell me who you are," she demanded with a glare. "I will never fulfill the wish of a princess that thinks of inferior apes as children," the stallion snapped, returning the glare. Twilight then turned to Will, "Will, you wouldn't happen to have any Pokemon that might help with the interrogation?" she asked, looking curiously. "Well that depends, what type of methods would you like to use?" Will asked, looking at the lavender alicorn. "We'll start with a tickle torture," Twilight replied with an evil smile on her face. Will nodded, and pulled our a black and green Pokeball, "Ok, Honchkrow, we need you help!" Will said, throwing the Pokeball and releasing a large black crow, with a crest that looks like a mobster hat, and a large collar of white fur. "Hey boss, what do ya need?" Honchkrow asked with a laidback tone. "I need you to help squeeze some info from this thief right here," Will said, motioning towards the thief stallion. "You want me to do that how exactly?" Honchkrow asked, preening her feathers. "Twilight, if you would explain it to Honchkrow please?" Will said, giving the right of way for Twilight to speak with the big boss Pokemon. "I would, thank you," Twilight said with a smile, turning towards the bird Pokemon. "This stallion was stealing from the farmers market, and if you could use your feathers to tickle him if we feel if he's hiding something, that would be very much appreciated," Twilight asked with a hopeful smile. "I did just cleaned my feathers while I was in that Dusk Ball, but if it is to bring justice, then I shall do it," Honchkrow replied reluctantly, flying over to the thief. "Now I'll only ask once more, what is your name?" Twilight asked with a glare. Noticing that Honchkrow would tickle him if he did not cooperate, he reluctantly started to speak, "My name is Market Raider," he spat with disgust. "Ok, now second question, why were you stealing from the market?" Twilight asked with a glare still on her face. "I was stocking up on supplies for when I had to escape Equestria," Raider replied with venom in his response. This made the mares, and humans all looked at him curiously. "Why would you want to leave Equestria," Pinkie asked, being suspicious of thief. "Because Celestia was a fool for allowing Nightmare Moon to stay alive," Raider snapped, glaring at Nyx, who shrank with fear. "And those two legged rats you call children are a mockery of pony society," he snapped, glaring at the human children, who all flinched at the glare. Without warning, Raider felt a very sharp pain on the side of his face as he felt a buck slam across his face. He then turned to see Rainbow Dash, looking not at all pleased with his remarks. "You jerk! How dare you speak that way about our children!" Rainbow yelled angrily at the thief. Fluttershy got in his face now, glaring into his soul, "My precious little Toby is NOT inferior to ponies, nor are an of the other kids!" She spat angrily. "And you should learn to respect Celestia's decisions, Nyx is NOT Nightmare Moon anymore, and she never will be, ever again," Twilight snapped at him. "You must be really foolish to believe that just because Nightmare Moon has taken the from of a filly means she isn't who she was before," Raider spat with venom. Twilight was about to continue to scold him, when she saw some guards walking up to the group, "Princess Twilight, is something the matter?" one of them asked. "Yes there is, this stallion not only was caught stealing from the farmers market, but he insulted Celestia, and our children," Twilight said, looking down at Nyx, Josh, Kelly, Crystal and Trinity, and looking up at Cory. "Would like for us to take this stallion to the castle dungeons?" the other guards asked. "Yes, and I will call up the other Princesses and we will discuss his punishment," Twilight replied. Giving a bow of their heads, the guards then took Raider away, while he was kicking and screaming, after Will asked Metagross to let the thief go. "Thank you for helping catch that thief, and with the interrogation," Twilight said, smiling up at Will, Metagross, and Honchkrow. "Ah, it wasn't any trouble at all," Will said with a shrug. "I am always willing to help," Metagross said, turning towards the alicorn. "Whatever, at least my feathers didn't get dirty," Honchkrow said with a smug smirk. Just then, she felt something pound on her head. "OW! What did you do that for?!" she said, looking up at her trainer. "Remember, since we are guests here, we should not be rude to our hosts," Will explained, which made Honchkrow make a pouty face. "How was this 'Metagross' creature able to catch that guy without magic?" Vibrant asked Will. "Metagross is a Steel/Psychic type Pokemon, so of course it could use psychic powers," Will explained. "I-if you d-don't m-m-mind my asking, h-h-how did Metagross get that awful s-scar?" Serenity asked innocently. "Well, that scar is linked to one of the reasons I retired from battles," Will said. "What happened that made you want to stop battling?" Conner asked curiously. "Well, it was because we lost a battle against the legendary Pokemon, Ho-Oh" Will replied. > Chapter 4: Wills story of retirement, Carousel Boutique and the Crusaders > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "It all began in the Johto region, where my hometown of Mahogany Town resided," Will explained. Just then, Lucky Joy raised her hoof. "What's the Johto region?" she asked sweetly. "It's the region where apricorns can be found, and it's also home to some amazing sites to see, like the Burnt Tower in Ecruteak City, or the lighthouse of Olivine city. Its also where you can find some Pokemon that you can't normally find in other regions." Will explained, smiling down at the pink filly, who nodded in understanding. "Anyway, it was sometime after I finished my return to the Hoenn region that I decided to head back to my ranch where me and all my Pokemon lived peacefully," Will continued, when it was Clover who raised her hand next. "Why did you return to this 'Hoenn' region?" she asked politely. "Well, sometime after my journey through the Kalos region, I got a call from a buddy of mine. A stone collector named, Steven Stone, who was the son of the Devon corporations president, which is a huge electronics company that make a handy little gadget called, the Poke'nav, which is short for Pokemon navigator," Will explained. "You humans must really be advanced with technology," Nyx commented with a blush. "Oh we are. Anyway, I returned to Hoenn to meet up with Steven on Mossdeep island, which has a really fancy space laboratory. We met up at his house, where he informed me that he discovered Mega Stones, which was what allowed my Blaziken to Mega Evolve back in the Crystal Empire," Will continued. "So that was how that tall Pokemon was able to change shape?" Rainbow Dash asked, quirking an eyebrow at the trainer. "Yep. The Pokemon researcher of Kalos, Professor Sycamore said that mega evolution is able to draw out a Pokemons hidden potential," Will explained. The cyan Pegasus nodded in understanding. "Anyway, Steven gave me one of the mega stones for Metagross that he had and told me to use it on my Metagross," Will continued. "Do these 'Mega Stones' have a certain name for the types of Pokemon they can used on?" Cory asked, looking at the trainer. "Yes, in Metagross' case, it would be Metagrossite," Will replied, as Cory nodded in understanding. "Anyway, after I collected all the mega stones hidden in Hoenn, I decided to call it quits with the journeying and headed back to Mahogany Town. Now, as I was about to walk back to my ranch, I saw the most magnificent sight ever, the legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh," Will said with a smile, "As I gazed at the beautiful sight before me, I saw Ho Oh looking down at me, and, with the use of telepathy, it said to meet him at the top of the Bell Tower in Ecruteak City, where it said it would test me to see if I was worthy of becoming its master," Will continued, now with a frown. "But as soon as I met up with Ho Oh, he challenged me to battle, which I accepted. Me and the team I brought fought valiantly, but even though I had some type advantages, Ho Oh still knocked out all the water and rock Pokemon I brought with me, leaving me only with Metagross," Will continued, still frowning. Just then, he saw Twilights hoof go up. "You say that this 'Ho Oh' is a legendary Pokemon. What makes it that good of a Pokemon?" she asked with a Quirked eyebrow. "Well, what would say if I said that Ho Oh not only glows like a rainbow, but was able to bring back the dead back to life?" Will asked, which got gasps from everyone. "I would be speechless! I thought that resurrection was only a myth," Twilight replied. "Well, with Ho Oh, it can. Anyway, I decided that Metagross would need to Mega Evolve in order to be a match for a Pokemon with a type advantage. We weren't able to catch Ho Oh, on account of Metagross being tossed at a broken piece of wood, which caused the scar that you now see on Metagross' face," Will continued with a sad sigh. "Did you take Metagross to a hospital, or some sort of clinic for Pokemon?" Fluttershy asked worriedly. "I was able to make it to the Ecruteak Pokemon center, where Nurse Joy was able to heal Metagross and the others back to full health, but she said that the scar was now permanent, but it wouldn't affect Metagross' psychic powers. Despite this, I retired from battles, and wanted to only live peacefully on my ranch, so none of my Pokemon would be injured, ever again. Well, that's pretty much how I ended up a ranch man," Will said, concluding his story. He looked up to see all the ponies and human children with sad frowns on their faces, as Serenity came up and hugged his legs. "Whoa, we're all sorry for something like that happening to one of your friends," Twilight said, on behalf of herself and her friends and family. "Ah, don't worry about it, like they say, the past is the past," Will said, trying to reassure them. "Uh, Will? If you don't mind, can you tell us about Mahogany Town?" Toby asked carefully. "Sure, but can we go someplace with air conditioning? This heat is killing me," Will replied, fanning himself while looking around at the ponies. "Why not Carousel Boutique? I can make you a new outfit, and you can tell us about your hometown," Rarity said with a squee. Putting his hand up to his chin, Will thought about it, "I see no problem with that. Is it ok with all of you?" Will asked, looking around at the ponies and humans, who all nodded in agreement. "Then it's settled. Would you be so kind to lead the way Rarity?" Will asked the fashion designer. "Very well, follow me and I will take you to my boutique," Rarity said, beginning to lead the group to their new destination. Just as they began to walk, Will remembered something, "Uh, just a moment please?" Will said pulling out the Dusk Ball that Honchkrow lived in, and the Pokeball that housed Metagross. "Thanks for your help guys, now get some rest," the young trainer said, recalling his two Pokemon back into their respective Pokeball. "Ok, now I'm ready," Will said, motioning the ponies to move onwards. After a bit of walking, the ponies all arrived at the boutique. "Well, here we are! Carousel Boutique. Now, we can go inside, and I can get your measurements and then I can get to work on your outfit," Rarity said, unlocking the door and leading them inside. Once inside, Will was amazed at how tidy the place was. "Now then, Will, if you would be so kind as to go and stand over by those mirrors, I can take your measurements," Rarity said, motioning towards the three mirrors. Will nodded, and walked over. "Ok, while Rarity is taking my measurements, I guess I can tell you all about Mahogany Town. Now as you know, much to Fluttershy's discomfort, humans from my world join forces with Pokemon for battles, and we try to prove our strong bonds at a major competition called the Pokemon League. But in order to participate in such an event, trainers a required to collect a certain number of badges as proof that they conquered a certain Pokemon gym, which is lead by a Gym Leader, who specializes in a certain attribute. The gym in Mahogany Town is an Ice type gym," Will explained. Kelly raised her hand, "Are there other gyms in Johto?" she asked, looking up at the trainer. "Yep, the gym in Violet City is a flying type gym, and you can earn a Zypher Badge from Falkner, the next gym I went to was the Azalea Town gym, which specializes in Bug Type Pokemon and rewards a Hive Badge if one can defeat Bugsy. After that, I went to find the Goldenrod Gym, who leader Whitney was a Normal Type user, and gave the victors a Plain Badge if she was defeated. I then went north to find the Ghost type gym leader Morty, where I earned a Fog Badge. Before I could challenge Jasmine and her steel type Pokemon at the Olivine gym to earn my Mineral Badge, I first had to go to Cianwood City to get some Secret Potion from the pharmacy, where I also encountered Chuck and his fighting type pokemon and earned the Guts Badge. After taking on Jasmine, I returned to Mahogany Town to challenge Pryce and his Ice Pokemon, in hopes of earning my Glacier Badge, after dealing with Team Rocket operations at the Lake of Rage, where a red Gyarados was rampaging, because it was forced to evolve. And once all that was dealt with, I then headed east for Blackthorn City, to take on the Dragon type gym leader Clair, and earn my Rising Badge." Will replied, explaining the gyms of Johto to his new friends. He looked up to see a troubled face on Fluttershy. "When you talked about a red Gyarados, what did you mean by 'forced to evolve'?" the yellow Pegasus asked with a troubled tone. "Well, the evil organization known as Team Rocket always cause trouble in both Johto and Kanto for people and Pokemon alike, sometimes by stealing pre-trained Pokemon from their trainers. Anyway, they were able to figure out a way of forcing Pokemon to evolve against their will," Will explained with a disgusted tone. "What meanies! Taking away other ponies friends is so cruel!" Pinkie said with a saddened tone, with her mane and tail flattening out. "True, were you able to stop what ever caused the Pokemon to be forced to evolve?" Crystal asked with a mix curiosity and worry in her voice. "Well, me and another buddy of mine named Lance were able to sneak into a secret Team Rocket base underneath a suspicious souvenir shop in Mahogany Town, and destroy the machinery that caused my Gyarados to forcibly evolve," Will reassured the young girl. "Who was this 'Lance' fella' and what was he like?" Applejack asked, looking at the trainer. Will was about to reply, but then, they all heard the door opening, and revealed Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Diamond Tiara, and Silver Spoon. "RARITY! We're back!" squeaked Sweetie Belle, as she and the other fillies walked in. "Why hello little sister, how was your day at the spa?" Rarity asked, looking at the unicorn filly. "It was so relaxing! Aloe and Lotus were as gentle as you said they were!" Sweetie said with a blushing smile. She then noticed the newest human in the boutique. "Oh! Is this a new friend of yours?" the unicorn filly asked, looking at the trainer. "You're right Sweetie Belle. This is Will, and he's from a different human world than all the others," Twilight replied with a smirk. "How is your world different from my sweetie pies world?" Silver Spoon asked curiously. "Sweetie pie? Oh, you must be the Silver Spoon filly that Toby told me about! Am I right?" Will asked the gray filly, who simply nodded. "Ok, well, the world I came from has many amazing creatures that are known as Pokemon," Will replied. This made the fillies all look at the trainer curious, "Pokemon? You mean those creatures in Nathans video games?" asked Scootaloo. "Well, yeah, but I have real life ones," Will said with a smug smirk. "Its true, we saw all sorts of Pokemon of his while up at the Crystal Empire," Toby commented. "Well, can we see one, if its ok with you Will?" Diamond Tiara asked, looking up at the trainer. "Sure, just as soon as... uh, where's Rarity?" Will asked, not seeing the fashion designer anywhere. "Oh, mum just went in to her work area to get to work on your newest outfit," Trinity replied, pointing her hoof in the direction of the work area. "It will be awhile before its ready, so you can all go one with your tour! And please take care of Conner, Charity and Sweetie Belle for me," Rarity called from her work room. "Wow! She's just like a ninja," Will commented, surprised at how he didn't notice the pearl white unicorn leaving the room. "Yeah, Auntie Rarity loves making new clothes for any and everyone!" Clover said with a smile on her face. "Well, let's go and I can show you all a water type Pokemon of mine," Will said, motioning them to the door. The ponies and humans all nodded, and made their way out the door. "Ok, I will bring out one of my smaller ones, as not to cause some unwanted attention," Will said, pulling out a Pokeball with a wave design on it. "Ok, Corsola, out here on the double," Will said, throwing the Dive Ball into the air, and releasing a small pink and white coral creature, with beady black eyes. "Ok girls, this is a water and rock type Pokemon called Corsola, a Pokemon I caught in the ocean," Will said, introducing the coral Pokemon, who looked at the ponies curiously. "Hello, as Will said, I am Corsola, a Pokemon that can be found in the sea," the pink Pokemon said with a cheery tone. "Aww, she's so cute!" Sweetie Belle said with a squeak. "Yeah, my kind gets that a lot," Corsola deadpanned with a smile. "And there are many more than this one, and if you all play your cards right, I think I may move here, and set up shop in an open area somewhere," Will said, recalling Corsola back into her Dive Ball. This made the ponies and human children all smile, with Pinkie grinning the widest. "Then that would mean I would have to throw a 'Welcome to Ponyville and Equestria' party!" Pinkie said with a squee. "Right, but if I'm going to set up shop here, I want to know the neighborhood a little bit more, so, can we continue our tour?" Will asked the ponies. "Very well, but where should we all go next girls?" Twilight asked, looking at her friends and family. "Why not Sugarcube Corner? It's close by," Nyx asked, looking up into her mothers eyes. "I see no problem with that, do any of the rest of you?" Twilight asked, looking around to the others who all shook their heads. She then turned her attention back to Will, "Will, would you like to head to Sugarcube Corner?" she asked the trainer. "I see nothing wrong with that, so, lead the way!" Will said, standing aside, allowing the ponies and humans to lead him to the sweets shop. > Chapter 5: Sugarcube Corner, the Cakes, and Darkrai > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The group steadily made their way from the boutique, where Rarity was making a new set of clothes for her new friend. While on the way, Will looked around the town and saw the happy inhabitants all waving happily towards the group of ponies. 'This place is so peaceful, maybe I will consider asking to have my ranch brought here,' Will thought to himself with a smile. Just as they turned the corner, Will looked up to see what he thought to be a life size gingerbread house. "I take it that's Sugarcube Corner?" Will asked, looking at the ponies. "YEP! It's where me and my daughters and niece not only live at, but also where I work," Pinkie said with a smile. "Oh, so its a house and a bakery?" Will asked surprised. It was only a round of nods that confirmed his assumption. "Wow, you don't see a lot of those nowadays," Will commented, gazing at the gingerbread bakery in awe. "Well? Lets all not stand out here and collect dust! Lets go inside!" Pinkie said, already at the doorstep. Will looked on in confusion. He was about to ask how she did that, when he was silenced by a cyan hoof in front of his mouth, "Dude, its Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie, just leave it at that," Rainbow Dash said in a deadpan tone. Will just shrugged, and followed the ponies into the bakery. Once inside, Will was amazed at how much sweets there were. Looking over to where Pinkie Pie was, he saw Mrs. Cake, who was looking very tired, but had a smile on her face when she saw all the children, and the new human. "Mrs. Cake, this is Will, he's a Pokemon trainer from different human world than all our children,!" Pinkie said, suddenly appearing behind Will, who jumped at how she just appeared behind him like that. "Will, this mare is Mrs. Cup Cake, one of the owners of Sugarcube Corner, my bosses, and landlords," Pinkie said, introducing her boss and landlord mare. "Well, its nice to meet you Mrs. Cake," Will said, extending his hand out to shake her hoof. "The pleasures likewise " Mrs. Cake said with a yawn. "Are you ok Mrs. Cake?" Twilight asked, concerned for the blue earth mare. "*Yawn* Oh, yeah I'm ok dearie, its just Pound and Pumpkin have been having nightmares lately, and its been keeping me and Carrot up late at night," Mrs. Cake replied, looking at the lavender alicorn. Just then, an idea came over Will, "Uh, Mrs. Cake, if you don't mind, I would like to try something with one of my Pokemon," Will asked, looking at the bakeries owner. "*Yawn* As long as my sweet babies can sleep peacefully, and won't get hurt, I'm ok with it," Mrs. Cake said, looking at the trainer. "Ok, then show me to your children's room, and my Pokemon can get to work," Will asked the earth mare, who nodded, and led him upstairs. After some walking, Mrs. Cake, Will, and the ponies all arrived into the nursery, where Mr. Cake was trying to comfort the whimpering foals in his forelegs. "Honey, Pinkie Pie has brought a new friend who *yawn* might be able to help with Pound and Pumpkins sleeping," Mrs. Cake said, looking back at the trainer. "Thank you for aiding us, and our children. They can't seem to sleep peacefully as of late," Mr.Cake said, looking at his son and daughter. "It's no trouble at all," Will said with a smile. "So what's your plan Will?" Silver Spoon asked, looking up at the new human. "Well, my plan is to send in my Darkrai, which is a Pokemon who can cause nightmares, into Pound and Pumpkins dreams, and eliminate whatever's causing their troubled sleep," Will replied, looking down at the gray filly. "Wait, so there are Pokemon that can affect sleep?" Vibrant asked, looking very much intrigued. "Why yes, and other stuff, like allergies," Will explained with a look of remembrance at the thought of his first encounter with a Budew.. "Ok, but how do we know if this 'Darkrai' creature of whom you speak of, wont cause anymore nightmares?" Carrot asked, giving Will a questioning look. "I specially trained my Darkrai to help soothe nightmares, in order to help my little sister," Will said, matter-of-factly. With a nod of understanding from the yellow stallion, Will pulled out a Master Ball, "Ok, Darkrai, I need you help," Will said, giving the Master Ball a light toss, and releasing a black phantom like creature, with some sort of a red growth for a collar, and a cloudy head and an eerie blue eye. This most certainly surprised the baker couple at the sudden appearance of the Pitch Black Pokemon. "Will, what would you like me to do?" Darkrai said, in a spookily sinister voice. "See those two foals?" Will said, pointing in the direction of the cake twins, "They've been having nightmares, according to their parents, and I want you to go into their dreams, and destroy whatever is causing their fright," Will instructed. "Alright, I will be along shortly," Darkrai said, before focusing his attention on the babies, and with a small amount of power, he was gone. "Where did he go?!" Toby asked frantically. "Darkrai went into the twins dreams to fight off what ever is causing the nightmares," Will explained. Darkrai's P.O.V After receiving instructions from my trainer, Will, I was successful in accessing the dreams of the infants he showed me. Looking around, I wasn't able to see anything, just darkness. "Hello! Is anyone there?" I called, only to be met with silence. This got me suspicious. Just then, I heard the cries of a young infant. I decided that this need some investigating. I followed the cries, to find the same foals that Will showed me being chased by a large blob like monster, with razor sharp claws, and saw like teeth. "I'm gonna gobble you two up for my dessert!" the monster said in a distorted tone. This made those babies cry and run even faster. Just then, I saw them tripping, with the monster looming over them, "Mm, yummy foals for treats!" the monster said, before reaching for them. Without hesitation, I attacked, "Stop right there! DARK PULSE!" I yelled, before unleashing my strongest offensive attack at that monster. "You two, get behind me!" I instructed the infants, who were hesitant, but they complied. "Hey, you can't do that!" the monster said, rubbing where I hit him. "Yeah? Well, I wont allow you to cause fear or discomfort to these infants," I said, glaring at the blob. I then conjured up a door, and using my powers, I picked up the monster and dragged him over to the door, "I wont let you cause anymore fear for these two. You will remain in here for eternity listening to," I said before opening the door, "whiny protest songs from the 60s." I finished, showing him a man with a guitar and an afro. He then started to strum his guitar, "Oh I hate the government, more than you and me, the government stole my goldfish, and unplugged my T.V." he sang with a depressed tone. "NOOO! Anything but that!" he monster begged. "Enjoy," I said cruelly, as I threw him in, closed the door, and locked it. Turning my attention back to the infants, I then looked them in the eye, "There is no need to be scared of me, I was sent by my master, who is friends with your parents' employee," I reassured them extending my arm out to show I meant no harm. They were hesitant like before, but they saw how kind I was to help eliminate their nightmare, and happily, walked up and gently whacked my hand with their hooves, like most babies do. "Good, now you can sleep soundly. I guess I will see you when I see you," I said before teleporting out of their dream. Third person P.O.V., in the real world, As the group waited for Darkrai's return, they noticed that the expressions on both Pound and Pumpkin softened into warm smiles. It was right then and there, where Darkrai reappeared. "Mission accomplished!" Darkrai said, looking at Will. "Good work Darkrai," Will commended his dark type pokemon. "Thank you Darkrai, were you able to see what caused their nightmares?" Mrs. Cake asked. "Yes, it was just a monster, but I was able to banish it to a nightmare realm of its own, with the help of a protester from the 60s," Darkrai replied with and evilly mischievous tone. Looking around the room, Will noticed that Serenity was hiding from Darkrai, behind Toby, "Uh, Toby, is something wrong with your sister?" Will asked, pointing behind the young boy. Noticing that Serenity was hiding from Darkrai, Toby knelt down to make eye contact, "Serenity? Is something wrong?" Toby asked his spring green little sister. "O-oh, Toby, its not that nothings wrong, I-its just that Pokemon looks like a g-g-ghost, and he looks scary," Serenity replied with a shaky tone. "Well Serenity, a little fact about Darkrai is that he isn't a ghost Pokemon at all," Will said with a chuckle. "H-he isn't?" Serenity asked surprised. "Nope, the only ghost pokemon I have are my Gengar, Mismagiaus, Dusknoir, and Chandelure. Darkrai here, while he looks like a ghost type, he's actually a dark type," Will said mater-of-factly. "Wow! I thought ghosts were just superstition," Trinity commented in surprise. "Well, just remember, anything can be possible in the world of Pokemon," Will explained. "Uh Will, weren't you gonna tell us who this Lance guy was when we were back at the boutique?" Cory asked the trainer. "Oh right! I completely forgot! Yes, well, Lance is one of the Pokemon Elite Four, and a Pokemon G-Man, which is a detective agency that uncovers any foul play with Pokemon. Lance was a powerful dragon type trainer, and his primary partner was a Dragonite, an elusive Pokemon that is said to help any shipwrecked crewmembers back to shore, and despite its bulky appearance, it can fly around the world in just 16 hours," Will explained. "Oh, there are d-dragons in the pokemon world too?!" Fluttershy asked, now feeling scared. "Yep, but they're really hard to find, and train, but with enough training, they can not only be a force to be reckoned with, but they can be the most dependable Pokemon ever," Will said with a reassuring tone, which calmed Fluttershy down a bit. "Oh, I know, how about I show you one of my less scary dragon types?" Will offered. "W-well, if you say its the least scariest dragon you have, then I guess I would love that," Fluttershy said reluctantly, but with a soft smile. "Great! I've been meaning to get my Altaria out of the ranch for a while," Will replied, before turning his attention back to the Cakes, "Well Mr. and Mrs. Cake, it was nice to meet both of you, and more or less meet you twins," Will said, smiling down at the foals who just babbled happily in their sleep. "It was nice meeting you too Will, and please come back anytime you want, if you want to stay here in Ponyville that is," Mrs. Cake said, returning the smile. "And thanks for helping our foals and their sleep, to both you, and Darkrai," Mr. Cake said, giving his gratitude, and sigh of relief. "It was no trouble at all," Darkrai said with the gesture of a smile. "Well, I guess we'll be seeing you," Will said, giving a goodbye wave to the baker couple, as they went to put their foals in their crib. Once outside, Will recalled Darkrai, and switched the Master Ball that housed the Pitch Black Pokemon, for a Great Ball. "Ok Fluttershy, a little pre-show description of Altaria is a blue bird, with white puffy cheeks, and wings that look like clouds, so I doubt there'll be a need for alarm," Will said, before enlarging the Great Ball. Fluttershy's expression brightened up a bit at the description of the dragon type pokemon, "Ok, Altaria, come out and meet our new friends!" Will said before tossing the Great Ball, and releasing a Pokemon that fit his description. "Oh my goodness! How can such a cutie be a dragon?!" Fluttershy said, smiling at the blue and white Pokemon. "To be honest, even Pokemon researchers haven't a clue, especially since its pre-evolved form is a Normal and Flying type, and can't use any dragon type moves," Will said with a shrug. Serenity, Toby and Silver Spoon all walked over to feel the texture of Altaria's wings. "Whoa! The wings are so soft! Like your actually touching a cloud!" Toby commented, resting his head on Altaria's wing. "Yeah, my species gets that compliment a lot," Altaria said, smiling down at the boy. "I'm just impressed at how pure white your wings are," Diamond Tiara said, gazing at how much the wings looked like pure white clouds. "Well, Altaria, along with their pre-evolved form Swablu, always like keeping their wings nice and tidy, usually using water from the stream to clean their wings if they get dirty," Will said, giving his knowledge of his blue Pokemon. "So, where should we go now?" Will asked the group. "How about Sweet Apple Acres?" Mike suggested. "I have no problem with that, do any of the rest of you?" Will asked, looking around the group of friends, who all shook their heads. "Alright, then would one of you lead the way?" Will asked the ponies. With a giggle, Applejack spoke up, "Ok, lets go y'all," she said, leading the group away from the bakery and to her family's farm. > Chapter 6: Sweet Apple Acres: Enter the Smeargle Gang! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Making their way from Sugarcube Corner to Sweet Apple Acres, Will noticed that there were a lot of stares being directed at Altaria. "Um, Will, why are they all staring at me like that?" Altaria asked, feeling nervous. "Don't worry, if I decide we should move here, then I'm sure all the stares will come to an end as soon as the townsfolk all get used to seeing you guys," Will reassured his humming Pokemon, who reluctantly nodded. Peering closer at Altaria, Clover saw that there was a mega stone necklace around her neck. "Uh, Will, is that a Mega Stone around Altaria's neck?" she asked, looking at the jewelry on the blue pokemon. "Yep, Altarianite is one of the mega stones I found while in Hoenn again," Will simply replied with a smile. "Do all Mega stones have a '-nite' in them?" Twilight asked. "Yep! Researchers can't explain it though, or why Pokemon mega evolve in the first place," Will simply shrugged. "Well, here we are! Sweet Apple Acres!" Will heard Applejack call, as he turned his head to see a very large apple orchard, "Whoa! 've seen a lot of orchards in my journeys, but never anything this big!" Will commented in shock. "Yep, and there are a lot of other apple orchards scattered all across Equestria, all belonging to the Apple family!" Applebloom informed him. "Family? You sure the family business isn't a franchise?" Will joked, which made everyone laugh heartily. "Heh, ok, let's get to the tour, and maybe ya can meet mah grandmother and brother," Applejack said, giggling a bit from Wills joke. "Ok, that sounds nice," Will said, chuckling al little from his joke. Following his farmer friend and her children and sister, they showed him around the main part of the farm. While walking, he was taken to see an elderly green earth mare, who he assumed was Applejacks grandma. "Granny! We're back!" Applejack called to her grandmother. Waking up from her nap, Granny Smith woke to see her granddaughter, and her children, along with her sister, and a new human along with them. "Why howdy there, you must be a new friend of mah granddaughters," Granny said, getting a better look at the new guy. "That I am Miss, my name is Will, and unlike young Mike here, I'm from a different Earth than he is," Will said, introducing himself. "And how is that?" Granny asked. After a brief explanation, Granny nodded in understanding. Looking around, Season couldn't see her uncle Big Mac any where. "Uh Granny, where's uncle Big Mac?" she asked, wondering where the red stallion is. "Oh, he's over painting the barn, but isn't having much luck," Granny said, pointing to the barn, where Big Macintosh was slowly working. "Oh, well maybe we can still introduce Will?" Mike asked, looking up to his farming mother. "Ah see no problem with that, so I guess it would be ok," Applejack replied, smiling at her son. "Well, after we get done showing Will around, we'll be back for dinner," Applejack said, to which her grandmother nodded in understanding, and went back to sleep. Walking over, Big Macintosh saw the new guy with his little sisters and his niece and nephews. "Hey Big Mac, we have a new friend for ya ta meet," Applejack said, looking back at the Pokemon trainer. "Hey there, names Will, and I take it your Applejacks bro?" Will asked the red stallion. "Eeyup." was all Big Mac said, to which Applejack and Applebloom just rolled their eyes. "So, why are ya painting the barn?" Applebloom asked her brother. "Well, it looked like it needed a fresh coat o' paint, but I haven't been able to get to any of the other sides yet," Big Mac said, frowning at how much work he had to do. "And after that, I was thinking of repainting the farmhouse," Big Mac let out another tired sigh. "Well, if its ok with you, I would like to give some of my painter Pokemon some exercise," Will offered. "Oh, that would be much appreciated, thank you," Big Mac said, giving his gratitude, before having a confused look on his face, "Uh, before you do, what is a 'Pokemon'?" Big mac asked the trainer. "No worries, I was looking to give these ones something to do!" Will said before tossing several Pokeballs into the air, and releasing several beagle Pokemon, with tails that looked like paintbrushes. "Presenting the Smeargle gang!" Will said, showing the ponies his Smeargle. "Aww, their so cute!" Silver Spoon said, looking at the painter Pokemon. "Yes, but why do they have paint(?) oozing from their tails?" Trinity asked, looking at ones tail. "That is what makes them the Painter Pokemon, as they use this fluid to mark their territory," Will explained, with the ponies all nodding in understanding. "Ok, so what would like for us to do?" A Smeargle with red paint dripping from its tail asked his trainer. "Well, Burner, I would like you and all the other red Smeargle to give this barn a fresh coat of paint," Will instructed, to which the red tailed Smeargle all nodded, and went to work, and finished up rather fast. "Wow, that was fast!" Josh commented. "Yep, and I can guess by how fast they painted, that they were happy," Will explained. "What do you mean?" Fluttershy asked. "Well, Smeargle, like all great painters, paint bright and sunny paintings if they're happy, and dark and somber paintings when they're sad. Some of the greatest artist would even call Smeargle artist Pokemon," Will explained, smiling at his Pokemon. "You sure have a lot," Kelly said, looking around at all the Smeargle. "Yep, and they all Sketched attack moves of certain elements, to which I nicknamed them based on the move attributes they have," Will explained. "Is that why you called that one red tailed Smeargle 'Burner'? Because it has fire powers?" Toby asked. "Yep, and Chill because he sketched ice type moves, and Dragoon for dragon type moves," Will explained, before turning to some other Smeargle, "But these ones are more different than the others, since Fists for example, can use punching attacks, and Tails can do tail attacks," Will explained further, petting the two Smeargle on their heads. "When you say 'sketch', what do you mean by it?" Conner asked. "Well, Smeargle are capable of learning only one move, Sketch, which can be used to permanently learn the last attack that was used on it, so dragon Pokemon aren't the only ones that can learn Draco Meteor," Will replied. "Amazing! There are 22 Smeargle here! And they all learned move types based on what they sketched?" Twilight asked in amazement. "Yep, and there are even more Pokemon in my collection, that I may show later," Will said, smiling at the ponies. Just then he felt a hoof on his shoulder, and turned to see Big Mac. "Um, Will? If I can ask a favor, can your Smeargle also help me with painting our house?" Big Mac asked politely. "Sure, if you guys are up to it?" Will asked his painters, who all nodded happily, "Then I'll have them get to work, just one question, what color would you like you farmhouse painted?" Will asked the red stallion. "Why not green? It's a color of an apple," Bolt suggested. "I see no problem with that, then I would like for a green farmhouse please, and I'll have your payment afterwards," Big Mac said before being cut off by Will. "Ah, don't worry about the payments, we're happy to help, right guys?" Will turned towards his Pokemon, who all nodded happily, and the green tailed Smeargle went to work. After a few minutes, the green tails were all done, and happily ran over to their trainer. "Good job guys," Will commended his painters, before recalling all of them back into their Pokeballs. "Ok, so that's Carousel Boutique, Sugarcube Corner, and Sweet Apple Acres, what's next?" Will asked his pony friends. "How about the castle of friendship where me and my children all live now?" Twilight offered. "Ok, sounds like a plan," Will agreed, and with that, the ponies took off. Meanwhile back in Canterlot, "So it appears Will has been making quite the name for himself as a helper in Ponyville, has he not little sister?" Celestia asked teasingly to her pouting moon sister. "I would've rid the Cakes foals of their nightmares, if not for that 'Darkrai' creature!" Luna said, still pouting, but was calmed when her two boys were hugging her comfortingly. "Well, if Will likes it here, then we may need to ask Discord to help him move here," Celestia said, trying to change the subject. Just then, there was a bright light, and standing behind the pony sisters were Discord, and his sons, the Elemental Titans, and his two daughters, Eris and Heaven, who the latters hair was being braided by the former. "Did somepony call my name?" Discord asked jokingly. The two sisters just rolled their eyes at the draconequss' antics. "Well Discord, another human has come to Equestria, a Pokemon trainer named Will." Celestia explained. "Oh, Pokemon? Haven't seen any of that action for awhile," Silver commented. "Yes, and we were wondering if Will likes it here in our humble land, then we would like for you to help him move here," Celestia explained, looking at Discord, Eris, and Francisco. "Righty-o, just call us once you've gotten confirmation he wants to stay here," Discord asked the alabaster alicorn. "Will do, now you and your kids may go back to your original business," Celestia said, dismissing the draconequss, who nodded, and with a snap of his eagle talon, he was gone. > Chapter 7: Josh's revalation and a shocking decision > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After leaving the apple farm, the ponies all made their way towards the castle of friendship. While walking, Nyx noticed a sad look on Josh's face. Being the kind big sister she is, she quietly spoke to him, "Josh, what's wrong?" she asked, rubbing up and down on his arm with her wing. Looking to see his sisters wing on him, Josh looked into Nyx's eyes with a twinge of sadness, "Oh Nyx, I'm ok, its just that, the teleportation spell I tried to do backfired, and its my fault Will is here, and I'm scared if he'll be mad at me," Josh sadly replied. "Shh, don't be sad little brother, I'm sure he won't be mad, I mean, he looks like he likes Ponyville," Nyx said, trying to reassure her brother. "Ok, but what if he asks how he came here? Mommy said we would handle the problem when it comes time," Josh confessed. "Ok, but I think we should ask Twilight if we could tell how you summoned Will before we tell him right then and there," Nyx suggested, to which Josh nodded. Just as they turned the corner, the came face to face with the castle of friendship. "Wow! This castle is almost as big as the Crystal Palace!" Will commented. "Yep, and it's still new, since we only got it after facing a villain by the name of Tierek," Twilight explained. "Ok, so you saw the outside of the castle, so how's about a tour inside the castle?" Rainbow asked the trainer. "I guess it wouldn't hurt," Will replied with a nod. Twilight nodded, and motioned the group to follow her inside. Once inside, Will was amazed at how big the main foyer was. "Wow! This is incredible!" Will commented in awe. "Yeah, but it took me and my children a whole week to figure out where everything is," Twilight said with a chuckle. Will only nodded in understanding. "Uh, Mommy, can I ask you something?" Josh asked, looking up at the lavender alicorn. "Of course sweetie, uh would you all excuse us?" Twilight asked, from which everyone nodded. Taking her son into another hallway, Twilight looked at her son with a curious yet worried look, "Josh, is something wrong? You can tell me honey," Twilight spoke with a kind and caring tone. "Oh Mommy, I don't think I can hold the reason back anymore! Do you think we should tell Will how he got here?" Josh asked with a broken tone. Twilights heart shattered at her sons sadness, "Shh, don't worry baby, I think we can tell him after lunch, how's that sound?" Twilight asked he youngest son. "Ok Mommy, but will you be there for me in case Will snaps?" Josh asked, hugging Twilights forelegs for comfort. "Shh, don't worry, me and all our friends and family will be here for you," Twilight said to him, trying to lift his spirits. "Ok Mommy, thank you for comforting me!" Josh said, nuzzling against Twilights chest fur. "Your very welcome sweetheart, now lets go back to our friends, they might start to wonder where we are," Twilight said, planting a kiss on Josh's head. Josh nodded, and followed his mother out to the main foyer. Once in the foyer, the group all looked at the two curiously, "What was all that about?" Rarity asked. "Josh just needed to ask me something," Twilight replied. "Now what do you all say to lunch?" she asked the group, who's stomachs all answered that question. "Ok, lets all head to the dining hall," Twilight said with a giggle, leading the group to the dining room. "Twilight, where's Spike?" Clover asked, not seeing the purple drake anywhere. "Oh, he's out doing regular kid stuff with some of his friends," Twilight replied. "Who's Spike?" Will asked, looking at the ponies. "He's the resident baby dragon of Ponyville, and my #1 assistant," Twilight replied, which Will only nodded in understanding. Just after taking a right into a doorway, they were all in the dining room. "Wow! Now this is impressive," Will commented as he took a seat along with the others. "I know, now what would you all like?" Twilight asked. "Uh, don't you have servants for cooking?" Will asked, looking at the alicorn princess curiously. "Well, as much as I like my place as the Princess of Friendship, I really don't like having other ponies doing my work when me and my sweet angels are all capable of doing our own work," Twilight explained. "But we're happy doing a little bit of work around the castle," Cory added on. "Oh, ok, well, I'll have pasta in a spicy sauce please," Will politely asked the lavender pony, who nodded, and proceeded to collecting her friends and family's orders, and went to the kitchen to get to the work on lunch. "So you like spicy stuff Will?" Toby asked. "Yep, but I figured that since Equestria and the World of Pokemon are two separate worlds, then Equestria won't have any tomato berries, now those are the spiciest berry you can find," Will explained. "Berries aren't supposed to be spicy, are they?" Applebloom asked her sister. "Ah don't really know, but remember that Will is from a different world than Mike, Toby, and the rest of them, so the vegetation there must be different," Applejack replied, giving the best of her knowledge on produce. "Applejack is right, but other berries have flavors that regular berries shouldn't have, like Chesto Berries are dry, and Prism Berries are bitter," Will explained. Just as he finished up his explanation, Twilight came in with a cart of food for her friends and children. "Wow, that was fast!" Will commented. "Yeah, I usually let Spike handle the cooking, but its nice to get in the kitchen every once in awhile," Twilight said, blushing as she gave everyone the dishes they ordered. Taking a bite out of his pasta, Will was suddenly reminded of the first time he tried something spicy, "Delicious," was all he could say, as he took another bite. After awhile, everyone finished eating, and put their dishes on the cart so that they can e washed. "Ok Josh, you can go and tell him," Twilight whispered to her son, who solemnly nodded, and walked over to the trainer. "Uh, Will?" Josh asked, feeling more and more nervous of how the Pokemon master would react. "Yes, what is it Josh?" Will asked with a smile. 'Ok, he seems to be in a good mood,' Josh thought to himself, as he took a deep breath and spoke, "Will, I would just like to say, that the reason you're here is because I messed up a teleportation spell that Mommy was teaching me, Crystal and Trinity." Josh explained. "I don't see how that was a mess up," Will said with a shrug. "Well, when it was my turn to try the spell, a sharp pain shot through my head, and I accidently summoned you here to Equestria, and to the Crystal Empire," Josh explained. "So, it was a spell that brought us all here?" Will asked, now getting a be intrigued. Josh could only nod sadly, and in fear that Will might chew him out, "Yes, but it wasn't intentional at all!" Josh cried, looking at the trainer with a tear filled expression. "Calm your self young one," Will tried to cheer Josh up by sounding like a martial arts expert. "To be honest, while you all were giving me a tour of the town, I've been thinking about moving here, and setting up shop on the outskirts of town," Will said, reassuring the group, Josh especially. "Really?" Twilight asked surprised. Will nodded in response. "So, no hard feelings?" Josh asked, now with new hope in his voice. "Right on little buddy," Will said, ruffling Josh's hair. This made Josh breath a sigh of relief. "Great! I'll write a letter to Celestia and tell her the news!" Twilight said, leaving the room like a little kid, going to an amusement park for the first time. "Is she always like that?" Will asked the ponies. "Only when something BIG is happening," Sweetie Belle replied. Just then, they heard the dining room doors open to reveal Rarity and Spike standing in the doorway. "Ah Will, I have your new outfit all made for you," Rarity said, trotting up and handing Will an all blue outfit with red stripes on the sleeves. "Oh, very nice, thanks Rarity," Will said to the snow white unicorn. Just then, he noticed Spike waddling up to see the new guy. "Ah, and you must be Spike! Twilight has told me about you," Will said with smile, looking at the drake. "And you have to be that 'Pokemon trainer' that Rarity was talking about," Spike said, extending his claw to shake with Will, who complied and shook hands with the dragon. Just then, Twilight came in with a scroll, "Ah Spike, just in time! Can you send this letter for me?" Twilight asked the young dragon, who saluted and breathed a green fire on the scroll. "Uh, why did he burn the letter?" Will asked, curious as to why Spike burnt the letter. "That's how me and Celestia send letters to each other," Twilight explained. Will nodded in understanding. Just then, Spike belched a scroll, which had Celestia's royal seal on it, "Wow, that was fast," Twilight commented, as she unrolled the scroll and began to read it. After a few minutes, Twilight had a beaming smile on her face. "What's up Twilight?" Rainbow asked her royal friend. "Celestia just accepted my request to have Will move to Equestria! And she's sending Discord, Francisco, and Eris to come and help with the move!" Twilight exclaimed with a squee. "Discord? You mean the draconequss?" Will asked, remembering Toby say something about Discord in his story. "Yep! And he's brining one of his sons and daughters to come and help you!" Twilight said, now squealing like a little kid in a toy store. "Ok, so when will they be here?" Will asked. Before Twilight could answer, there was a flash of light, and from the light stood two draconequss beings, and a human boy, with a robe that looked like the very fabric of space itself, all dressed in movers uniforms. "We heard you want to move? We can help," Discord said, trying to sound like a mover. "Uh, why yes, I would like to set up a ranch on the outskirts of Ponyville, if its not too much trouble?" Will asked. "No problem, we can tackle any job," Eris said, mimicking her father. "Ok, then can you teleport us back to my ranch in Mahogany Town, so me and my sister can get to packing?" Will asked. "Don't worry about packing, we'll just bring your ranch here!" Discord said, teleporting next to him. "I'm not even going to ask, but thanks for the help," Will said, smiling at the odd ball family. "Well, shall we get a move on?" Francisco asked, opening a door in thin air to Mahogany Town, "Next stop, Mahogany Town!" he called, motioning his father, his adoptive sister, and the trainer to come along. "Would you mind if we came along with you?" Twilight asked the four as they were about to leave. "Not at all," Will said with a smile, before turning to the three movers, "Uh, can you three teleport me to exactly five minutes after the portal brought me here?" Will asked the draconequss father and daughter and human son. "Sure, but why?" Eris asked curiously. "Well, its been hours since I've landed in the Crystal Empire, so I want to make sure to be at my ranch before my sister gets out of school," Will explained, to which the female draconequss nodded. "Well? Lets not just stand here and collect dust, c'mon!" Will said to the ponies, leading them through the door. > Chapter 8: Wills ranch, Cindy, the 'invincible' Pokemon Brothers > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, a few blocks from the Mahogany Town school, "I can't be late! Will is sure to be so annoyed if I'm late!" said a young girl, no older than seven, with a red shirt and brown khaki shorts, brown hair, and blue eyes, as she was running home from school. While she was running, she didn't notice a trio of eyes watching her. "Heh, so that's the little sister of the 'worlds most powerful pokemon master', huh?" asked the young man in a martial arts outfit, with spikey red hair. "Puny little girl," said the tallest of the three, with neatly combed bluish green hair, in a similar outfit. "Should we follow her?" asked the chunkiest of the three, with a brown, mushroom hairdo, in yet another martial arts outfit. "Right, we should see if this 'Pokemon Master' is really strong," the spikey red head said. "Then could we come with you?" said a feminine voice. The boys all turned around to see two people, a man with an aqua green dome hairdo, and a woman with blonde hair on either side of her hair. Both were wearing black uniforms with a big red "R" on the chest. "And who the heck are you?" the chunky brother asked. "Let's just say we're part of an organization that wants to create the worlds most powerful Pokemon army, and that 'Pokemon Masters' Pokemon would make excellent troops, if you an help weaken them," the man said with an evil smile on his face. "Well, we don't like the thought of stealing other peoples Pokemon, but if it means we can defeat this big faker of a Pokemon Master, then you got a deal," the leader said, returning the evil smirk, as they five followed the little girl. Meanwhile, back at the ranch with Will, After teleporting from the castle of Friendship, the ponies and Will all found themselves in the middle of his living room. "Well, here we are! My Pokemon ranch house!" Will said, walking over to a widow, and l opening them to let some light in. "Wow! So this house is yours?" Conner asked surprised at the spacious room. "Yep, but before we can talk about moving, lets wait for my sister to come home. In the mean time, I can show you where all my Pokemon play," Will said, leading them to the backdoor, and to the main grass lands where the ranch was. "Ok, Everyone out here on the double!" Will said, releasing all of the Pokemon he possessed, all the aquatic Pokemon making it into the lake. "Wow, I've forgotten how many Pokemon you had when you came to the Crystal Empire," Twilight said, looking at all the Pokemon, as they scattered around to either go nap or play. "Yeah, and each of my Pokemon is chock full of memories from my journeys," Will said, reminiscing on his past adventures. "Will! I'm home!" called a little girls voice. "I'm out in the fields with some new friends!" Will called back. "I take it that's your little sister who we just heard?" Rainbow Dash asked. Will nodded. "Ok, I'm here!" the little girl said, walking on to the back patio, and looking in awe at the ponies surrounding her brother. "Are these your new friends?" she asked curiously. "Yep, these ponies are from a land called Equestria, where I think we may have a chance at a peaceful life," Will explained. "Really?!" the girl asked hysterically, which Will only nodded. "Finally! Now we can all relax!" she said with a blush. "Yep," Will said, then he remembered something, "Oh yeah! Everyone, this is my little sister, Cindy," Will said introducing his little sister, "Cindy, these are the human children and pony friends of mine who will be helping us move to Equestria," Will said, introducing his sister to the ponies. "Its lovely to meet all of you," Cindy said with a bow. "And its nice to meet you too sweetheart," Twilight said, smiling at the little girl, with her own human daughters, as well as her sons standing next to her. This made Cindy very curious. "Excuse me, but, how did you all get to this 'Equestria' place?" Cindy asked the human children. After all the children told their stories, Cindy then hugged each of them, "Oh my, I'm sorry about all that's happened to all of you," she said, trying not t cry. "Don't worry about it," Toby said, returning the hug. "Well isn't that sweet?" a voice called which made the friends all jump. Turning their attention to the roof of the house, they saw the boy with spikey hair and his brothers all standing on the awning of the patio. "Hey, get off my roof! And just who are you?!" Will demanded. "Nice to meet you, I'm Kim!" said the spikey haired boy, striking a pose. "Pleased to meet you, I'm Kail!" the tall one spoke, striking a pose of his own. "And I'm Kai!" the fat one spoke, striking his own pose. "WE'RE KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AS THE INVINCIBLE POKEMON BROTHERS!" the three spoke in unison. "And you're here, because?" Will asked, not impressed at all. "We're here to challenge you to a battle," Kim replied with a confident smirk. "But Will doesn't battle anymore!" Twilight explained to them. They weren't convinced. "Well, it appears that the rumors about him being a coward are true," Kail said, taunting the real Pokemon Master. "Say that again, I DARE YOU!" Will said, now getting angry. "A trainer that doesn't want to battle is a big wimp, and all wimps always run from a battle," Kim said, joining in the taunting. "How dare you!? Will doesn't battle anymore because he's scared of losing!" Cory snapped at the brothers. "He quit because he doesn't want his Pokemon getting hurt anymore!" Toby explained, glaring at the brothers. "Oh boohoo, if the Pokemon gets hurt, then just let it go!" Kai said, which pushed Will way over the edge, even more so than Fluttershy and her children were. "Alright big shots, I accept your challenge!" Will said, now angry at the cocky brothers. "The battlefield is at the top of that hill over there," Will said, pointing towards a distant hill. Leading the group to the battlefield, which consisted of grasslands and water, Will took his position of his side of the battlefield, while Kim took his place on the other side of the field. "Twilight, can you referee?" Will asked the alicorn princess. "It would be my pleasure, but what would you like for rules?" the young princess asked, looking at the trainer curiously. "Lets make this a three on three battle, with no time limit or substitutions," Will explained, collecting three Pokeballs with the pokemon of his choosing. "Very well, and I take it its the best two of three matches?" Twilight asked, which Will nodded. "Alright, begin!" Twilight said, flaring her wings up. "I'll start things off with Quilfish!" Will said, throwing a lure ball, and releasing a spikey fish Pokemon whose upper half was dark green, and the bottom half was greenish yellow, and had a tail fin at the rear. "Ok, then I'll use, Hitmonchan!" Kim said, releasing a humanoid Pokemon, with brown skin, and boxing gloves. But as soon as Hitmonchan was in the water, it appeared to be drowning. "Quilfish, help Hitmonchan!" Will instructed, which prompted the spikey Pokemon to start swimming towards the punching Pokemon to aid it. But as soon as Quilfish got close to the boxer Pokemon, Hitmonchan revealed that it was feigning drowning, and punched Quilfish, really hard, and sending it careening the wall. "Ahh, Quilfish! That was a dirty move!" Will snarled at the cheating fighting Pokemon trainer. "Who cares about how you win? As long as you in, that's all that matters," Kim said with a smug smirk. "Hitmonchans sneak attack was declared illegal, so the match goes to Quilfish!" Twilight said, giving the match to Will, much to Kim's disappointment. "Thanks Quilfish, you did good, now take a long rest," Will said, recalling his Pokemon. "Alright second match, and lets try to keep the battle clean you two," Twilight said, glaring at Kim, who stuck his nose up. "Alright, I'll use Kingler!" Will said, releasing a large orange crab Pokemon with a ridiculously huge claw. "Tentacruel, I need you!" Kim said, releasing a large octopus Pokemon with a blue head and red spheres on either side of its head and on the forehead. "BEGIN!" Twilight said, giving the good to go. "Alright, lets finish this in one move, Kingler, use Mud Shot!" Will commanded, which had Kingler fire balls of mud at the octopus pokemon. "Dive underwater Tentacruel!" Kim instructed, which the opposing Pokemon did so, and dodging the mug shots. "Alright, use Poison Sting!" Kim commanded, which had Tentacruel fire purple spikes at the crab Pokemon. "Kingler, use protect!" Will told his Pokemon. Kingler raised its larger claw, and formed a shield of energy that was deflecting the stingers. "Now, underwater and use vicegrip!" Will told the crab, who dove under water and made its way to its opponent. "I don't think so, Kail, Kai!" Kim called to his brothers. "Alright, GO!" the other two brothers yelled, as they released their own Tentacruel, who stopped Kinglers advance. "NOW, POISON STING ATTACK!" the three brother ordered, which had all three Tentacruel fire poisonous missiles at the outnumbered crab, thus defeating it. "Hey, three against one is a rule violation!" Twilight snarled at the brothers. "No, he accepted a challenge from the invincible Pokemon Brothers, not just me, so we won that match fair and square!" Kim said, not caring about the rules. "Just the opposite! You three are disqualified!" Twilight yelled at them, which made them all flinch. "Hey you can't disqualify us for playing fair!" Kim protested. "Tough, you all lost the whole battle!" Twilight yelled even louder at them. Looking at her friends and family, Kim got an evil idea, "Well maybe this ought to change your mind, TENTACRUEL, USE POISON STING ON THE SPECTATORS!" Kim commanded, which the water Pokemon complied, firing poisonous stingers at the group. If not for Twilight putting up a shield, they would've all been poisoned. "Hey, call of the Tentacruel!" Twilight demanded. The only response she got where the brothers all demanding that she give them the match. Seeing how the trio would attack defenseless spectators, Wills anger peaked, "HOW DARE YOU?! NOW GYARADOS, TEACH THOSE CHEATERS A LESSON!" Will called, releasing his large red serpentine Pokemon, who went on the attack. "GYARADOS, USE HYPER BEAM ON THE TENTACRUEL!" Will demanded, which the atrocious Pokemon complied, and fired a yellow and orange beam of energy at the three pokemon, sending them flying into their trainers. Gyarados let out another roar, which got the bothers all scared now, "OK, WE GIVE UP!" Kim said, knowing he and his brothers made a mistake at challenging him. "ALRIGHT GYARADOS, SEND'EM FLYING WITH HYDRO PUMP!" Will said, making the large Pokemon fire a high pressure cannon at the brothers, sending them flying. "WE'RE NOT TEAM ROCKET, BUT WE'RE BLASTING OFF!" the brothers said, no longer in sight. "Alright, are you all ok?" Will asked his friends. "That. Was. AWESOME!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, looking at the red Gyarados, "That Gyarados was so amazing!" Rainbow commented. "Indeed, and your other Pokemon did their absolute best," Rarity commented. Will looked around to see that everyone was not injured, but he saw Fluttershy, Toby, and Serenity all cowering from the large Pokemons power. "Fluttershy, is something wrong?" Will asked, feeling concerned for his caring friend. "Oh, no nothings wrong, its just t-that big snake like Pokemon was so strong, it was scary," Fluttershy said, hiding behind her mane. "Well, there's nothing to fear from Gyarados, despite its scary appearance, Gyarados is the most caring Pokemon I have," Will tried reassuring the butter yellow Pegasus, who along with her children, nodded in understanding. "WILL! LOOK UP THERE!" Conner exclaimed, pointing towards the sky. Looking up, Will was amazed to see the legendary Pokemon that sent him to retirement, the legendary Ho-Oh. > Chapter 9: Ho-Oh, and Team Rocket > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Will, along with his sister and the ponies were mesmerized by the amazing sight that was coming towards them. "That's, Ho-Oh! The legendary Pokemon said to revive the dead!" Will said, staring at the colorful bird. "That's Ho Oh? Its beautiful!" Crystal said. After awhile, Ho Oh finally landed in front of the friends, and focusing his attention on Will, "Ah, young will, it has been a long time since you and I have last met," Ho Oh said, speaking to Will telepathically. "I agree, I haven't see you since after I retired," Will said, smiling at the bird Pokemon. Looking at the ponies and human children, and the draconequss duo, Ho Oh then looked at Will curiously, "Are these new friends of yours?" Ho Oh asked the trainer. "Yep, and they're gonna help me and Cindy move to their homeland, where me, my sister, and all my Pokemon can live peacefully," Will explained. "I see. But I would still like for you to prove you are worthy of being my master," Ho Oh said. "You still want me to be your trainer?" Will asked in shock. It was only a nod that made Will run up, and hug the phoenix Pokemon. Meanwhile, the bushes. "I can't believe we had any faith in those trio of bozos," the man said with an annoyed tone. "I can understand your frustration Butch, but made maybe we can still catch that Ho Oh, once that dimwit of a Pokemon Master weakens it enough," the woman said, smiling evilly at her partner. "Ok, so I assume your plan is to wait for that naïve master to weaken Ho Oh before we use our nets, right Cassidy?" Butch asked, acting like he didn't know what Cassidy was getting at. Cassidy only nodded evilly, as she turned to see Will coming out of his Pokeball storage area. Back to the ponies, "So, Ho Oh still wants you to catch it?" Cindy asked her brother, who was carefully picking his team to help catch the rainbow Pokemon. "Yep, and I want to be sure to give him a good battle," Will replied, as he was recalling two of his electric type Pokemon. "Ok, so I have two water, two rock, and two electric types, I think I have a shot," Will said, clenching his fists in determination. "Do you think you and your Pokemon will be able to catch Ho Oh?" Twilight asked the trainer. "'We never know until we try', that's my motto," Will replied with a confident smirk on his face, as he went to the field to do battle with the Legendary Ho Oh. "Alright Ho Oh, we're ready to battle," Will said, tossing a Pokeball, releasing a rock ball Pokemon, with short arms and legs, and a small head protruding from the shell. "You ready Golem?" Will asked his Megaton Pokemon, who roared with determination. "Alright, then we'll start out with Rockslide!" Will commanded, which Golem then focus its energy, causing boulders to form from thin air, and fall around Ho Oh, who was able to dodge some of the rocks. "Most impressive Will, you haven't lost any of you strong determination since last we met," Ho Oh said, before charging up for one of its attacks, "Now take this, SACRED FIRE!" Ho Oh roared, unleashing a magnificent flame that was hurdling towards Golem. "Golem, use defense curl!" Will commanded, which Golem just withdrew back into its shell, "Good work, now roll out attack!" Will commanded, which had Golem rolling towards Ho Oh, at a high velocity, and striking the bird Pokemon, knocking to the ground. "Ok, I think that might be it, go..." Will was cut off when he and the ponies gasped in horror, as a net ensnared the defenseless Pokemon. "What the..?! WHO DID THAT?!" Will asked angrily, looking around for who trapped poor Ho Oh. "A silly question he asks," a feminine voice purred. "We are here to do our tasks," said a males voice. "HERE'S OUR MISSION SO YA BETTER LISTEN!" the two voices rang as two shady figures jumped from the bushes. "To infect the world with devastation," the woman sang. "To blight all peoples within our nation," the man rhymed. "To denounce the goodness of truth and love," the woman said. "To extend our wrath to the stars above," the man said evilly. "Cassidy!" the woman said, introducing herself. "And its Butch!" the man said. "We're Team Rocket, circling the globe all day and night!" Cassidy rang. "Surrender to us now, or you'll surely loose the fight, fight, fight!" Butch said, finishing up the motto. "Team Rocket?" Rarity asked. "They're the bad guys I told you about, Cassidy," Will said with a sneer. "And Bert," Cindy said, glaring at the two. "I TOLD YOU, MY NAME IS 'BUTCH'!" Butch yelled, furious at how they never could remember his name. "Well, whatever your name is, we won't be letting you take Ho Oh!" Discord said, conjuring up some scissors. "Well, we aren't leaving here without Ho Oh, or all of his Pokemon," Cassidy said, pointing at Will. "Forget it! You'll never get my Pokemon, or Ho Oh!" Will snapped at the duo. "If you won't give them to us willingly, then we'll take them by force, go Houndour!" Cassidy called, releasing a black dog Pokemon with sort of a skull helmet on its head. "Hitmontop, assist Houndour," Butch said, releasing a short bipedal Pokemon, with a blue torso, a spiked tail, and a spike on its head. "So its a fight you want? Then I'll give you one, Electivire, help out Golem!" Will said, releasing a large yellow biped Pokemon, with black markings on it, and twin tails that have a resemblance to wires. "Houndour, use Flamethrower on Electivire!" Cassidy told her dark Pokemon, who exhaled a red hot flame from its mouth. "Hitmontop, Rolling Kick on Golem!" Butch commanded, which had the handstand Pokemon spinning really fast towards Golem. "Golem, use Rock Tomb on Houndour, and Electivire, use Discharge!" Will commanded, which had Golem throw a large boulder at Houndour, and Electivire unleashing a wild charge that electrocuted Hitmontop and Houndour, sending them back into Cassidy and Butch, also electrocuting them, but to the ponies surprise, it didn't affect Golem, who just took it like having a foam ball thrown at him. "Good job guys, now use hyper beam!" Will instructed, to which, the two stronger Pokemon fired the same beam of energy that Gyarados fired, at the Team Rocket members, thus creating an explosion that sent them flying. "I can't believe it, why can't we ever win?!" Cassidy whined. "Well, at least we're better than those two buffoons, Jessie and James, and that simple minded Meowth of theirs," Butch said, trying to lift Cassidy's spirits. "True, but..." Cassidy said, before she and Butch spoke in unison. "WE'RE STILL BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" they said, still flying until they weren't in sight anymore. "And that's that," Will said with a smug smirk, before turning his attention to Ho Oh, who was still trapped, "Hang on Ho Oh, we'll get you out!" Will said, trying to find the opening in the net. "You have the heart of a true hero, Will," Ho Oh said, smiling up at the Pokemon trainer. "Thanks, I get that a lot," Will said, just as he found the opening, and helped Ho Oh crawl out, "So, now that all distractions are out of the way, shall we continue our battle?" Will asked the legendary Pokemon. "No, you have proven that you are worthy of being my master, for which, I will gladly allow myself to be captured," Ho Oh said, giving Will a warm smile. "Really?!" Will asked, like a kid who just got the best news of his life. Ho Oh only nodded warmly. "Alright, go ULTRA BALL!" Will said, throwing his Ultra Ball at Ho Oh, who was soon turned into red energy, and went inside the ball, which, as soon as it hit the ground, started to wobble. After the third wave of wobbles, he ball made a clicking sound, which signaled the successful capture of Ho Oh. "Alright, after all these years, I finally caught Ho Oh!" Will said, picking up the Ultra Ball, and looking at it in awe, which he then tossed in the air, releasing the Rainbow Pokemon. "You're part of the family now Ho Oh," Will said, smiling at his newest Pokemon. "And I shall do my very best to help you in anyway I can," Ho Oh said, smiling back at his new trainer. "Alright, so now that that's all out of the way, we can now start with the move," Discord said, smiling at his friends. "Ok, if its not too much trouble, I would like my ranch to be in the fields on the outskirts of Ponyville, please?" Will asked the draconequss. "But won't someone notice your ranch is missing?" Rainbow Dash asked, arching an eyebrow at Will. "Doubtful, our ranch is in a secluded field out side of town, so I doubt anyone will notice," Will said, reassuring his cyan Pegasus friend, before remembering something, "OH, I almost forgot! We need to let your school know that your moving away Cindy," Will said, looking at his sister. "If you all could wait just at least an hour, I should be back by then," Will said, before running towards the school where his sister used to go to. "Well, its nice that you and Will are coming to live with us, but won't your relatives wonder where you two are?" Twilight asked Cindy. "No, see all our other relatives passed away, so we don't have any other family besides each other," Cindy replied, giving the lavender alicorn a sad smile. "Oh, sorry, I didn't know," Twilight said, apologizing for treading on sensitive thoughts. "Don't worry, a lot of people ask us that," Cindy said, trying to reassure her lavender friend, who smiled at how kind Cindy was. Half an hour later, Will came back, "Ok Cindy, I just let your school principal know that we're moving, I didn't tell him where we're moving to because he might think I'm crazy, so now, you're signed out of school," Will said, ruffling his sisters hair. "We're ready to go!" Will told Discord, Eris, and Francisco, who all nodded, and snapped their fingers, thus teleporting the whole ranch out of Mahogany Towns outskirts. > Chapter 10: Cindys Ponyville adventure, a party, and a baby > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After teleporting the whole ranch from Mahogany Town to Equestria, Will, and his new friends found themselves on the outskirts of Ponyville, just as Will requested. "Thanks for the help," Will said to the draconequss father and his son and daughter. "You're welcome, and until next we meet, this is goodbye Will," Discord said, before he and Francisco and Eris teleported away. "So, this is Equestria?" Cindy asked, looking around, seeing some birds flying about. "Yep, and if you want, you can go with the ponies and tour Ponyville, while I see to it everything is where it should be," Will said to his sister, who grinned from ear to ear. "Oh, thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'll be home in time for supper!" Cindy said, hugging her brother by his legs. "Don't worry Will, we'll make sure she comes home safely," Twilight assured the trainer, who nodded in understanding, before going around his house and ranch to make sure everything is where it should be. "Well, lets start our tour," Twilight said, leading the group, with Cindy to Ponyville. After some walking, a question that wasn't thought of when the friends were still in Mahogany Town sparked in Rainbow Dash, "Hey Cindy, Will said that most kids go on Pokemon journeys when they get a Pokemon, right?" she asked the new human girl. "Yeah, but after I saw what had happened to Metagross, I decided that I want to raise baby Pokemon with my brother," Cindy said with a sad smile. "Yeah, Will told us the story, so we figure anyone from his perspective can become protective of his friends," Twilight said, as the group entered Ponyville. "What do you mean by baby Pokemon?" Fluttershy asked, wanting to know more. "Will wasn't just a Pokemon trainer, he was a breeder, so he has a storage area where he keeps eggs that his Pokemon are usually holding, and when they hatch, they hatch into cute little baby Pokemon," Cindy explained, which made Fluttershy squee out of sheer excitement o see baby Pokemon, "We have an egg that's going to hatch soon, so if you all want, we can show you the pokemon that will hatch from it," Cindy offered. "YES! YES! YES!" Fluttershy said, bouncing like a little kid, before she noticed that she was attracting a lot of attention, "Oh, um, I mean, I would like to see the baby Pokemon, thank you," Fluttershy said quietly, with a blush. "Ok, I can ask Will if we can see what hatches from it," Cindy said, as she saw the gingerbread house known as Sugarcube Corner, "What's that?" Cindy asked, pointing at the sweets shop. "That's Sugarcube Corner, where we make all sorts of yummy in the tummy cakes and candy!" Pinkie said, bouncing towards the shop, with her friends and family in tow, giggling at her antics. Meanwhile, back with Will, "Good, all the furniture is where it should be," Will said, nodding in approval, before entering the egg storage area, "Now to see if the eggs are all ok," Will said, going to check the eggs, to make sure they're all ok, "Good, none of the eggs appear to be damaged, especially not you," Will said, looking at a brown egg, with lighter brown ridging at the bottom, "Soon, you'll hatch, and we'll have a new member to the family," Will said, leaving the egg room, before seeing the egg give off a faint glow, "That means your close to hatching," Will said, smiling, as he left the storage area to check on his Pokemon outside. Back to the ponies, "And this is where we make all our treats!" Pinkie said, showing Cindy the kitchen. "Wow! This is amazing!" Cindy said in awe. "Pinkie? Is that you?" called Mrs. Cake, who was just entering the main area, noticing her faithful, and energetic employee, and her friends, including Cindy, "OH! And who is this, a new friend?" Mrs. Cake asked, smiling at the new human, who smiled back. "YEP! This is Cindy, she's the little sister of the Darkrai trainer who helped us out with Pound and Pumpkin," Pinkie said, introducing her newest friend, "Cindy, this is Mrs. Cup Cake, one of the owners of Sugarcube Corner, and one of my landlords/bosses," Pinkie said, introducing the new girl to the blue earth mare. "Its lovely to meet you Cindy, and as Pinkie said, your brothers Darkrai helped out my sweet baby cakes and got them to sleep peacefully," Mrs. Cake said, smiling at the young girl. "Its nice to meet you too Mrs. Cake, my brother trained long and hard with Darkrai to get it to master its nightmare dispell ability," Cindy said, smiling back at the baking mare. "Well, we better get a move on, we have a lot of ground to cover," Applejack said, wanting to make sure she and her friends keep their promise to Will. "Ok, well, I'll see you again Mrs. Cake," Cindy said, going to catch up with her friends. "You aren't going with them Pinkie?" Mrs. Cake asked her hyper active helper. "Nope! I've got something better in mind for both Will and Cindy," Pinkie replied, beaming from ear to ear, while bouncing back into the kitchen. Mrs. Cake only shook her head with a giggle at Pinkies non stop happy behavior. "So where should we go next?" Twilight asked the group. "Why not show Cindy where Sweet Apple Acres is?" Toby suggested. "I would love to see that," Cindy said with a smile. "GREAT! We can also show you where Carousel Boutique and my castle is," Twilight said, leading the group to Sweet Apple Acres. Back with Will, "Ok, so all the grassland, forest, and sea Pokemon are all ok," Will said, checking off his checklist, hearing the sound of swishing water coming towards him. "Will, what's going on?" Will looked up to see a sauropod sea Pokemon, with a dark blue shell on its back, and light blue skin, and a horn on its head, better known as Lapras, looking at him curiously. "Well, I struck a score here in a new land, where we can finally live peacefully," Will explained. "FINALLY! Now I can eat some kelp in peace!" Lapras said, relieved that she won't be battling anymore, once and for all. "Yep, I'm just doing rounds, checking that everyone knows what's happening, and seeing that the habitats are in tip top shape," Will explained, with his Transport Pokemon nodding in understanding. "Well, I'll leave you to do that," Lapras said, swimming back into open water. "Ok, and can you tell the other sea Pokemon as well?" Will asked his Pokemon. "I will!" Lapras said, smiling at her trainer, who nodded in understanding, and went back to check on the freshwater Pokemon habitat. Back to the ponies, "So the boutique is where you make all the clothes that Toby, and the rest of them now wear?" Cindy asked Rarity, as the group all made their way to Sweet Apple Acres, already seeing the castle of Friendship. "Why yes, and they all love the outfits I make for them, right kids?" Rarity asked the human children, who all nodded happily. "Wow! That's amazing!" Cindy said with a smile. Just then, they could see the farm up ahead. "Wow, that was fast," Cindy commented, surprised at how fast they made it to Sweet Apple Acres. "Eeyup! And your brothers Smeargle Pokemon were a real big help in repainting our barn and farmhouse," Applejack said, smiling at the young girl. "Whoa, my brothers already making a name for himself?" Cindy asked, still surprised at how fast Will and his Pokemon got to help around town. "Eeyup! But I don't want to ask too much from him," Applejack said. "Well, my brother is always willing to help those who need help," Cindy reassured the farm mare. Looking up, Twilight gasped at how much time flew by showing Cindy around town, "WHOA! We need to get you back to your brother!" Twilight said, grabbing everyone's attention. "Alright! Maybe if we're lucky, the egg will hatch maybe tonight," Cindy said, making Fluttershy sigh in happiness, as they quickly made their way to the outskirts of Ponyville, where they could see Will coming towards the house. "WILL! I'M BACK!" Cindy called to her brother, who looked up and smiled, seeing her sister being brought back. As soon as both Will, and the group walked in and turned on the lights, they were very shocked to see a lot of ponies gathered around the living room, with a large banner that said 'WELCOME TO PONYVILLE, WILL, CINDY, AND WILLS POKEMON!' "SURPRISE!" the ponies in attendance chorused. "Well, do you two like the party? Well, do ya?! Do ya?!" Pinkie Pie asked, wrapping Will and Cindy in a tight hug. "I don't know what to say," Will said, still a bi shocked at the surprise party. "But we like it very much," Cindy said, smiling at how many welcoming ponies there were. "Well, lets get this party..." Pinkie was cut off when they heard what sounded to be a buzzer sounding. "The egg storage area! The egg is hatching!" Will said, rushing to the store room, "Cindy, call all of the Eevee evolutions to the house!" Will instructed his sister, who rushed over to an intercom station. "Calling Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon, Leafeon, and Sylveon! Report to the main house, the egg is hatching!" Cindy spoke into the microphone. "What egg?" a unicorn mare asked. "One of the eggs from the ranches egg storage area is about to hatch into a baby Pokemon!" Cindy replied, excited to see a new baby Pokemon. Cindy then rushed over to a linen closet, and pulled out a towel to rest the egg on. Just then, the party guests all turned when they heard a doggy door flapping, and in came several dog Pokemon, one yellow and spikey, one that was blue, and looked like a mermaid, one that was the colors of a flame, a sleek pink one with a red gem in its forehead, one black one with yellow rings around its body, one that had a tail that looked like a leaf, one that was light blue, and one last light pink one with ribbon feelers on it. "Has the egg hatched?!" the black one asked. "Not yet Umbreon, but Will is getting the egg right now," Cindy reassured the Moonlight Pokemon. True to her word, Will was back with a glowing brown egg. "Clear the way!" Will called, which the ponies complied, moving out of the way for Will to get the egg over to the towel, as it began to glow on and off faster. "So, Pokemon eggs glow when they're about to hatch?" Nyx asked, intrigued by the newer knowledge of Pokemon life. "Yep, and we are about to witness the hatching of a baby Pokemon," Will replied, as the egg glowed really bright, and changing shape into a small brown fox Pokemon, with a white collar of fur around its neck. The guest all smiled brightly at the new baby, "Its an Eevee! And a very healthy one at that," Will proclaimed, as the new born baby opened its eyes for the first time. This made every mare and filly go gaga at how cute it was, Fluttershy especially. "AWW, ITS JUST SO CUTE!" Fluttershy squealed like a little filly. "Well, I guess I better give it its first feeding," Will said, going to the kitchen with the infant in his arms, to make some formula, "Once it finishes its meal, I'll go and put it in the nursery, so you all can start the party while I'm gone," Will said, feeding the baby Pokemon formula to Eevee, who drank surprisingly fast, and letting out a little burp, before snuggling itself into sleep. Once that was done, Will left the ranch house to another house that the ponies all assumed was the nursery. After a few minutes, Will came out of the nursery, shutting the lights off so the baby Pokemon could sleep soundly, and shutting the door, so no unwanted critters could get in and harm the babies. "Now lets get this party started!" Pinkie Pie said, which signaled for the DJ, Vinyl Scratch to start the music. The party went one for about an hour, when some of the party guests started to go home. "I've got to get back to the farm, its way past Applebloom, Mike, Season, and Bolts bedtime, but ah hope to come and see more of your Pokemon later on Will," Applejack said, tipping her hat at the trainer. "Quite right, Sweetie Bell, Charity and Conner are all sleepy, so I better go home too, tootles!" Rarity said, taking her sister and kids home. "I hope you liked the party Will! So, I'll see you later!" Pinkie said, leading her children out of the ranch house. "If its ok with you Will, I would like to come and help you take care of some of your Pokemon, but for now, I got to get Serenity and Toby back home, so goodbye," Fluttershy said, giving her son and daughter a ride on her back on the way back to her cottage. "Yeah its getting late for me and my family too, so we'll see you later Will," Rainbow said, taking her son and daughter and student back home. "I'll write to the other princesses and tell them that the move was successful, so until maybe tomorrow, this is goodbye," Twilight said, with her sons and daughters all following her back home. "Well, that was an excellent party, but lets get you in for bed Cindy," Will said, leading his sleepy sister upstairs to her room, "Goodnight Cindy," Will said to his sister, turning out the light. "Goodnight Will," Cindy said, falling asleep. And after making sure Cindy was snug in bed, Will went back to his room to turn in for the night. > Chapter 11: Starting school and a field trip > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As dawn broke over the horizon of Equestria, the local Pokemon trainer of Ponyville, known solely as Will, was waking up to start his chores. As soon as he finished feeding all of his Pokemon, he went back into the ranch house to start on breakfast for him and Cindy, who was slowly making her way down stairs. "Good Morning Will," Cindy said with a yawn. "Morning sis, just take your seat at the table and I'll have breakfast real soon," Will told her. True to his word, Will came over with two plates of pancakes and maple syrup. "So, what's the plan for today?" Cindy asked her brother. "Well, I was going to try and find the local schoolhouse and get you enrolled," Will explained. "Oh, ok! I hope to see our friends there as well!" Cindy said, smiling a warm smile. "GREAT! Once we're done with breakfast, you go and get your stuff ready," Will instructed, which Cindy nodded in understanding. After a few minutes, they heard a knocking at the door, "Huh, wonder who that is?" Will asked, going over to the door, and opened it to reveal the local school teacher, Cheerilee. "OH Will! I was hoping to speak with you before I go and start school," Cheerilee said with a smile. "Ok, right this way please Ms." Will said, inviting the mare in. "Oh my name is Cheerilee, there's no need to call me miss," Cheerilee said, introducing herself, taking a seat on Wills couch, "Well, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind allowing me to take my school foals to your ranch so you could show us the various Pokemon creatures you have?" Cheerilee asked. Putting his hand up to his chin to rub it, Will thought, "Well, if they don't cause trouble, then I guess you could," Will said before remembering something, "Now if you don't mind, I also have to ask you something, can you enroll my sister Cindy into your school?" Will asked the mulberry mare. "Ok, now we're even, you let me bring my students to your ranch, and I can enroll Cindy into my roster, by the way, could I meet her, so I can find out what she's like?" Cheerilee asked. "Sure, she's right over there," Will said, pointing towards the dining room table, where Cindy was gathering the dirty dishes, "Cindy, come over here once you're done with that, and meet your new teacher," Will asked his sister who nodded before going into the kitchen to drop off the dishes, before walking out to meet the mulberry mare, "Cindy, this is Cheerilee, your new teacher, Cheerilee, this young girl is my sister Cindy," Will introduced the two to each other. "Hello Cindy, its nice to meet you, and I promise that you'll like your time at school, all of the fillies and some colts are really nice," Cheerilee said, putting a hoof on the young girls shoulder. "It nice to meet you too Ms. Cheerilee, and I promise to be a good student," Cindy said, smiling at the mare. "Ok Cindy, go and grab your stuff, and I can walk with you and Cheerilee to the schoolhouse," Will told his sister, who nodded and went to collect her stuff. "My, she's a spirited one, isn't she?" Cheerilee asked with a giggle. "Yeah, she's always excited to learn new things," Will told the earth mare, who nodded in understanding. Just then, they saw Cindy coming back with her book bag, "Ok Will, I'm ready," Cindy said, smiling at her brother. "Alright, lets go," Will said, motioning towards the door, with the mare and girl following him out the door. Once Will was out the door, he shut the door, and locked it, and three made their way to the schoolhouse. While they were walking. the two humans noticed ponies along the way waving and smiling at the trio as they made their way to the schoolhouse. After a while they arrived at the Ponyville schoolhouse, "Ok Cindy, I'll be back to pick you up after school ends," Will told his sister, who nodded in understanding. "What time does school here usually end?" Will asked the mulberry teacher. "Three o'clock," Cheerilee replied with a smile. Will nodded in understanding, giving Cindy one last goodbye, before heading back to the ranch. "Alright, lets get you settled into your new class," Cheerilee said, leading Cindy into the schoolhouse. Once inside, Cindy was amazed at the rows of desks and a nearby bookshelf, and a blackboard. "Just take a seat in the back for now," Cheerilee told Cindy, who nodded and went to the back row. After awhile, some fillies and colts were coming in and taking their seats, Cindy smiled seeing her friends all coming in and welcoming her. "Howdy Cindy, looks like your gonna be part of our class huh?" Applebloom said, smiling at the new girl. "Yes Applebloom, but it will take so time to adjust, seeing as this school is different from Mahogany Town," Cindy said, smiling nervously but warmly at her friends, who all smiled back. Alright everyone, quiet down!" Cheerilee called to her class who all simmered down respectfully, "Now before we begin our lessons for the day, I have two things I would like to do, first, we have a new student, Cindy, would you kindly stand up and introduce yourself?" Cheerilee asked the new girl, who hesitantly stood up. "Everyone, this is Cindy, and I would very much appreciate it if you make her feel welcome," Cheerilee said, giving the students all warm smiles. "Hello Everyone!" Cindy said cheerfully. "HELLO CINDY!" the class chorused. "And as for the second thing, I'm sure you all have heard about the ranch that appeared on the outskirts of Ponyville right? Well, the owner of said ranch has given me permission to bring you all to his ranch to see his Pokemon creatures," Cheerilee explained, "But if you all want to go, I need your parents to sign these permission slips first," Cheerilee said, passing out slips to the students, "Cindy, since the ranch owners your brother, I assume you don't need a permission slip," Cheerilee said, walking past the new girl, who nodded in understanding. "I know, but its ok, I know the Pokemon my brother raises," Cindy said, smiling at the mulberry mare. As soon as Cheerilee finished passing out the permission slips, Cheerilee went back to the front of the room to begin the lessons for the day, which consisted of math equations. Class went on for a few hours until the bell rang, signaling recess. "Have a good lunch and recess students!" Cheerilee called, going to collect her own lunch. "Oh boy, that was brutal," Scootaloo commented, sighing a breath of relief. "You don't like math?" Cindy asked the orange filly. "Its not that I don't like it, its just that is so boring!" Scootaloo replied. "Well, most equations and formulas are easy, once you get the hang of it," Toby reassured his big sister, who smiled at her brothers sweet nature. "Well, at least we get a field trip tomorrow, right?" Josh asked his friends. "Yeah, and I bet Wills Pokemon are going to be awesome!" Echo exclaimed. "Oh, they will be!" Cindy assured her friend. After awhile, the bell rang, signaling the end of recess, which signaled the kids to go back into the class. Once inside, class went on like usual, and eventually the final bell rang, signaling the end of school. "See you all tomorrow! And remember to get your permission slips signed!" Cheerilee called to her students, who all went their separate ways to go home. "C'mon Cindy, lets get you home," Will said, taking his sister back to the ranch with him. The next day, "Ok, is everyone here?" Cheerilee asked her students, who were all accompanied by their parents, "Ok, we're leaving right now, but first give me the signed permission slips," Cheerilee asked, which each foal complied, giving her their permission slips which had their parents signature at the bottom. "Good! It looks like everyone has their permission slips signed, so now we can go," Cheerilee said, leading the large group to Will ranch. After some walking, they could see the trainer standing on the front porch, smiling at the group, "Hey everyone, who wants to go see my Pokemon?" Will asked the school, which resulted in all the foals hooves(or in the case of humans, hands) going up, "Great! We'll start over in the rocky mountain habitat, where some of my Steel, Rock, and Dragon type pokemon are, along with some other mountain dwelling Pokemon," Will said, leading the group towards the mountains, "But before I forget, I want to give you all something that can give you information on the various Pokemon we'll see, and to activate it, just open it, and point it at the Pokemon," Will said, handing out little red boxes to each of the main six. After some walking, one of the mares decided to ask Will a question, "Mr. Will, none of these Pokemon are dangerous, are they?" she asked, giving the trainer a stern look. "Well, they used to be, but I tamed them so that they're friendly towards visitors, and don't worry, I'll make sure no one gets hurt," Will replied, reassuring the parents, who were wary of the strange new creatures. Just then, a shadow flew over them, "Oh, there's one of my dragon types, HEY SALAMENCE, COME DOWN HERE AND MEET OUR GUESTS!" Will called to the Pokemon. They saw the creature turning around and before the group, a large blue dragon Pokemon with big red wings stood before them. "Everyone, meet Salamence, one of my most faithful dragon Pokemon," Will said introducing his Pokemon to the ponies, who were all amazed at how calm he was. "It is an honor to meet each and everyone of you," Salamence said in a calm tone, smiling at the guests. "Wow, so that's a dragon type?" Twilight asked, pulling out a Pokedex that Will gave at the beginning of the tour. "Salamence, the dragon Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Bagon. After realizing its dream for flight, the cells in its body allowed it to grow wings, giving it the fastest flying speed among all flying Pokemon. the Pokedex said, giving information on the dragon Pokemon before the group. "Amazing!" Twilight commented. Just then, they heard a low pitch roar. "Oh, that would be my Steelix," Will commented, looking around for his Iron Snake Pokemon, who burst out of the ground. Steelix was a large snake like Pokemon, with a grey body, shovel shaped head, and spikes on some of the boulders that made its body. The ponies were very surprised to see the iron snake Pokemon. "Hey Steelix, how's it going?" Will asked his largest steel type Pokemon. "Wow, that's huge!" Pinkie said, opening her Pokedex, to get information on Steelix. "Steelix, the iron snake pokemon, and the evolved form of Onix. Some say that if an Onix lives for more than a thousand years, its body can turn harder than diamonds, thus resulting in its evolution. the Pokedex said, giving data on Steelix. "THATS HUGE!" said a small brown colt with a reddish brown mane and tail. "Well, a fun fact about Steelix is that I caught it while in Kanto, on Mt. Hideaway," Will explained. "What's Mt. Hideaway?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Its an area in the Kanto region that's home to Onix that are twice the size of normal Onix, some say it has to do with the fertile soil around the area," Will explained. "I did not know that we were having guests," Steelix said, looking at the ponies. "Well, you might not have paid attention when I told you yesterday," Will suggested. "Huh, maybe, well, I'll let you get on with you tour," Steelix said, before burrowing through the ground again. "Yeah I have to get going too, but its ben great meeting all of you!" Salamence said, taking flight. "Right, so lets continue the tour!" Will said leading the group through the mountains again. > Chapter 12: More Pokemon, and a surprise visit > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Continuing the tour of the ranch, Will introduced all of his mountain dwelling Pokemon, including the three Regis, Charizard, some more rock pokemon like Gigalith, Tyranitar, and Golem, and more steel types like Aggron and Skarmory, and even his most brutal Pokemon, Hydreigon, "So, that's the mountain Pokemon habitat, so where would you all like to go next, the pond, the ocean, the grasslands, or the forest habitats?" Will asked the group. "Can we go to the pond?" a small, white colt with brown spots asked. "Sure, if you're all up to it?" Will asked the group, who all nodded in agreement, "Alright everyone, walk this way please," Will said to the group, leading them down a path that lead to the pond. "So, why do you have multiple habitats for these 'Pokemon' creatures?" a brown stallion with a dark brown mane and tail asked. "It to help with their specific needs, for instance, all the mountain Pokemon we just saw need to be in rocky terrain, so that they can stay happy, and healthy," Will explained, as the group continued to the pond area. After a little bit of walking, they finally made it, "Well, here we are, the pond, made especially for freshwater Pokemon!" Will said, presenting the pond habitat, which had his Crawdaunt, Feraligatr, Swampert, and other water Pokemon. "HEY GUYS! COME OVER HERE AND MEET OUR GUESTS!" Will called to his freshwater Pokemon, who all made their way to their trainer, with Crawdaunt tackling his trainer, "Oof, really Crawdaunt?" Willa asked his rouge Pokemon. "Sorry boss, force of habit," Crawdaunt said, chuckling nervously, helping his master back on his feet. "Right," Will said with a roll of his eyes, "Anyway, fellas, these are the ponies that we'll be living with now," Will said, introducing his friends, and their friends and family, "Everyone, these are the Pokemon that reside in the pond habitat, where the water is nice and clean," Will said, introducing his Pokemon to the ponies. "So, these are all water types?" Twilight asked, pulling out the Pokedex she received, and pointed it at Crawdaunt. "Crawdaunt, the Rouge Pokemon, and the evolved form of Corphish. Because of its brutish nature, most lakes where they are found are uninhabited" the Pokedex said, giving information on Crawdaunt. "A rouge Pokemon? Well, what of this one?" Rarity asked, as she pointed her Pokedex at Swampert. "Swampert, the Mud Fish Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Mudkip. Swampert moves faster through the mud than in water, and has the power to crush boulders," the Pokedex said, giving information on the large blue Pokemon. "But what about that other large one?" Pinkie Pie asked, pulling out her Pokedex, and pointing it at Feraligatr. "Feraligatr, the big jaw Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Totodile. It is hard for it to support its weight out of water, so it sometimes gets down on all fours. But it moves fast. the Pokedex said. "Oh, its that Vaporeon Pokemon from the party!" Fluttershy said, as she pointed her Pokedex at the water Pokemon. Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokemon, and an evolved form of Eevee. It prefers beautiful shores. With cells similar to water molecules, it can melt in water. When Vaporeon's fins begin to vibrate, its a sign that rain will come in a few hours, the Pokedex said, giving information on Vaporeon. "Whoa, who knew there would be a Pokemon that can predict rainfall?" Conner asked incredulously. "Yep, and there's even a Pokemon that changes form based on weather, called Castform," Will said. "Castform eh?" Rainbow Dash asked, pulling out her Pokedex, to look up Castform. Castform, the Weather Pokemon, This Pokemon can change its cells, taking different forms based on the temperature and humidity," the Pokedex said, showing Castform as its normal form and the other forms it can take on. Flying towards Will, Rainbow Dash showed him the Pokedex, "What form is that one?" she asked, pointing at one of the forms of Castform. "That's Castform in its Snowy weather form," Will replied, which Rainbow nodded in understanding. Looking into the lake, a small brown earth colt could faintly see some figures, "Hey Will, what're all those?" he asked, pointing at the serpentine silhouettes. "One of them is one of my Gyarados, another must be Milotic," Will replied. "Gyarados?" Twilight asked, looking up the Pokemon that Will had just mentioned. "Milotic?" Fluttershy asked, looking up the other Pokemon. "Gyarados, the atrocious Pokemon, and the evolved form of Magikarp. When Gyarados starts to rage, it doesn't stop until everything in its path is destroyed," Twilights Pokedex said. "Milotic, the Tender Pokemon, and the evolved form of Feebas, said to be the most beautiful Pokemon in the world. It also only comes out of its lake habitat to soothe any hostility it senses," Fluttershy's Pokedex said. "That Gyarados sounds like a threat, if what Princess Twilights machine said is true," one stallion said. "Yeah, it would, but the Gyarados I tamed are docile, and don't really like fighting," Will reassured the stallion. "But this Milotic looks magnificent!" Toby commented, as Fluttershy lowered her Pokedex to let her children see what the Tender Pokemon looked like. "Yeah, and all that time fishing, trying to find a Feebas was all worth it in the end," Will said. "Feebas?" Rarity asked, looking up the Pokemon Will had just mentioned. "Feebas, the Fish Pokemon, normally found in polluted waters, it is usually found at the bottom of lakebeds, all tangled up in kelp," the Pokedex said, give information on Feebas. "How can a fish like this become something so beautiful?" Rarity asked. "Well, I had to feed Feebas a ton of dry Poke'blocks or Poffins in order to increase its beauty stats when in contests. Another way is to trade a Feebas when its holding a Prism Scale," Will replied, "And before you ask, Poke'blocks and Poffins are a type of candy that Pokemon eat, which is made from berries," he added on, which everyone nodded in understanding. "But, what's a Prism Scale?" Bolt asked. "Its a beautiful scale that triggers the evolution of Feebas when its holding it while being traded," Will replied. "So, Pokemon also evolve if you trade them?" a small brown colt asked. "Only a few, like that Golem we saw," Will replied. "What do you mean by 'trade'?" Twilight asked. "Well, sometimes trainers tend to trade Pokemon with one another. A trainer I met in the Kalos region said that trading Pokemon was like trading friendship bracelets," Will replied. "So, when you trade Pokemon, its like extending friendship to another trainer?" Josh asked, which Will nodded. "But don't you miss the Pokemon you trade away?" Fluttershy asked. "I do, but I also know that they can help their new trainer make more memories, and have more fun," Will reassured the butter yellow Pegasus, who nodded in understanding, "Ok, so where would you all like to go now?" Will asked the group. Just then a gray hoof went up. "Can we see some bird Pokemon?" the young gray colt asked. "Sure, so we're heading to the forest now, where not only bird Pokemon reside, but dark, bug, and other forest dwelling Pokemon live," Will said, leading the class towards the forest. "So, what kinds of bug Pokemon are there in the forest?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Well," Will said, pointing towards a tree, "That tree is home to my Foretress, and a colony of Pineco," he replied, as he saw the bagworm Pokemon. "Foretress and Pineco?" Toby asked. "Lets see," Twilight said as she and Fluttershy pulled out their Pokedex's. "Pineco, the Bagworm Pokemon. It doesn't move much on its own. To protect itself from predators, it adds more bark to its shell. The extra weight does not bother it whatsoever," Twilights Pokedex said. "Foretress, the bagworm Pokemon, and the evolved form of Pineco. What's one the inside of its shell is still unknown, but its protected by a steel hard shell, Fluttershy's Pokedex said. "Wow, and what about that one, on that tree over there?" Conner asked, pointing towards a tree, where a large beetle like Pokemon was sucking tree sap. "That's Heracross," Will replied, as Pinkie took out her Pokedex next. "Heracross, the single horn Pokemon, Using its prized horn, it can thrust opponents using its power," the Pokedex said, stating the entry on Heracross. "Wow, it must be strong to do that!" Pinkie commented. Will was about to say something, when one of his Gardevoir appeared, "Will we, oh, I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?" she asked. "Who's this Pokemon?" Rainbow Dash asked. "This is one of my Gardevoir," Will replied, as Rarity took out her Pokedex. "Gardevoir, the Embrace Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Ralts. Using all of its psychic powers, it can create a small black hole in order to protect its trainer," the Pokedex said, but then a look of confusion crept upon Rarity's face. "The Pokedex depicts Gardevoir to be green, not blue, why is that?" the seamstress asked. "Oh, well, this Gardevoir is a shiny Pokemon, and by that, I mean an oddly colored Pokemon. Shiny Pokemon are one of the rarest of Pokemon on can encounter," Will explained, before turning back to Gardevoir, "So what's the problem?" he asked. "Its the egg storage area, its overflowing. Mewtwo and Deoxys are currently helping the girls with the problem, but it may get too out of control for us to handle," Gardevoir replied. "Ok, Cindy, would you like to show your class around while I take care of things back at the storage area?" Will asked his sister. "Sure, you go and take care of the eggs, and we'll just go and see the rest of the ranch," Cindy said with a nod, as Will and the Gardevoir went back to the main area of the ranch, "Ok, so where should we go after the forest?" Cindy asked. "How about the sea habitat?" Toby suggested. "Sure, unless anyone objects?" Cindy asked, and they all nodded to Toby's idea, "Ok, so lets finish up with the forest, and then we'll continue to the sea," she said, leading her class deeper into the forest habitat. Back with Will, "Whoa, I had no idea the situation was this bad," Will said with dread, seeing his egg storage area overflow with eggs to the point some of them had to be moved into baskets outside the building. "Yeah, and we've tried every possible option!" one of his Lopunny said in tears. "Calm down Lopunny, we'll figure something out," Deoxys said, placing his hand on her shoulder. "Right, but what to do?" another Gardevoir asked. They all pondered when Will got an idea, "I know! Maybe with their parents approval, we can give the eggs away to the school children that Cindy's with," he suggested. Looking around to each other, the Pokemon all nodded in agreement, "Great, now I'll go and find them, and tell them of the plan," he said, running off to find the group. "But what should we do about the other eggs?" Wills shiny Lopunny called. "Gather all the ones you don't we should keep, and bring them out side!" Will called back t his Pokemon, who all nodded and went to work. Back with the class, "And that's the sea dwelling Pokemon, so where to next, the snowy tundra, or the grasslands?" Cindy asked. "Why not the tundra?" Twilight suggested, which everyone nodded. "Ok, this way to the tundra," Cindy said, leading the group to the tundra. "So, will we see ice Pokemon there?" Conner asked. "Yep, and some other Pokemon that like the cold," Cindy said. As they were all walking, they saw Will coming towards them, "Oh, hey Will," Cindy said with a smile. "Hey Cindy," Will said, before looking at the group, "Ok everyone, I have a little surprise for all of you when we finish the tour," Will said, which got the kids all excited, "So, where are you all heading to now?" Will asked. "The snowy tundra to see the arctic Pokemon," Cindy replied, which Will nodded and went with the group to the icy wastelands. Back at the egg storage area, After going to work just as Will said, the Pokemon were busily putting eggs, left and right into the baskets, "There, just a few more and we can be ready for the kids," one of the Lopunny said, which everyone nodded in agreement. Just then, Deoxys took notice of a certain egg, it was blue, with little yellow beads and a red center, "What about this one?" Deoxys asked, pointing at the egg. Looking towards the egg, a Gardevoir then shook her head, "Oh no, Will said that one is not, under any circumstances to leave this facility," she said, looking at the egg in question. "He said that egg is the egg of the prince," Mewtwo said. "Well? What're we doing just standing around and collecting dust? We got a job to do!" a Lopunny said, which everyone went back to work. Back at the tundra wastelands, "And here's where all the aquatic Pokemon reside," Will said, showing the class the icy sea bed. "Aren't any of them cold?" Fluttershy asked in worry. "No, actually, they quite enjoy the cold water," Will replied, just as a sea lion Pokemon surfaced, "Look there! That's my Dewgong!" he said, pointing at the water. "Aww, its so cute!" Fluttershy said, pulling out her Pokedex. "Dewgong, the sea lion Pokemon, and the evolved form of Seel. It loves frigid seas with ice floes. It uses its long tail to change swimming direction quickly," the Pokedex said. "Oh, s-so Dewgong really does like cold water," Serenity quietly commented from behind her brother. "And if you all come over this hill right here, you'll see Empoleon keeping watch of his colony," Will motioned towards a hill. Walking over, the class was amazed at all the penguin Pokemon there were. "Whoa, so, which one is Empoleon?" Diamond Tiara asked. "That real large one right there," Will said, pointing towards where his Empoleon stood, watching over the younglings, "And the smaller ones are Piplup and Prinplup," he added on. Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight all took out their Pokedex's to look up the Pokemon. "Piplup, the Penguin Pokemon. Its thick down helps keep it warm, even when its swimming through frigid waters. If it stumbles, it doesn't hurt their pride," Applejacks Pokedex said. "Prinplup, the Penguin Pokemon, and evolved form of Piplup. Prinplup lives a solitary life. Its wings deliver wicked blows that can snap even the thickest of trees," Rarity's Pokedex said. "Empoleon, the Emperor Pokemon, and the evolved form of Prinplup. It avoids unnecessary disputes, but it will decimate anything that threatens its pride," Twilights Pokedex said. "So, all of them have a strong sense of pride?" Twilight asked. "Yep, which makes working with them difficult, but not impossible," Will said, which she nodded in understanding. "Are there any others around here?" Scootaloo asked. "Well, there's a Weavile and Sneasel colony just at the edge of the forest and tundra," Will said, as Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash pulled out their Pokedex's. "Sneasel, the sharp claw Pokemon. Its paws conceal sharp claws. If attacked, it suddenly extends the claws and startles its enemy," Fluttershy's Pokedex said. "Weavile, the sharp claw Pokemon, and the evolved form of Sneasel, It lives in snowy regions. It carves patterns in trees with its claws as a signal to others," Rainbows Pokedex said. "So, they're both sharp claw Pokemon?" Fluttershy asked. "Yep, and the ones I have take great pride in their claws," Will replied, "But they also don't like strangers, so we should probably skip them," he advised, which everyone nodded in understanding, "Ok, so the last habitat is the grasslands, and that's where almost fifty percent of the Pokemon are at," he said, which everyone nodded, and followed him towards the grass lands. Meanwhile, on the Crystal Express, After receiving word that Will had moved his entire ranch to Ponyville, Cadence offered to take Nathan to go and see all the various Pokemon, "I take it you're excited Nathan?" Cadence asked her son, who was playing on his Nintendo DS, with Guard Armor watching, and Skyla just sucking on her hoof. Looking up to look at his mother, Nathan smiled contently, "Yes Mommy, Ah'm very excited!" "To see Wills Pokemon, or to make kissy faces with that Applebloom filly?" Shining Armor asked, which lit up Nathans face in a crimson blush. Shining Armor chuckled at the blush, only to be met with a whack on his head, "OW! What was that for?!" he asked, looking at his wife, who flicked her mane. "Well, it would be nice to see mah friends again," Nathan said, just as the conductor came in. "Next stop, Ponyville Station! Everyone off, who's getting off!" the conductor called. "That's us! Get your stuff Nathan," Cadence told her son, who nodded, and gathered his belongings, just as the train pulled into the station, "Ok, we should probably go and check in with Twilight first," Cadence added on as the group ,made their way to the castle of friendship. Meanwhile, above in the skies, Celestia and Luna were making their way to Ponyville to see Will, upon hearing word from Twilight, "I do anticipate the size of Wills ranch, and seeing him again, as well as seeing his little sister," Luna said eagerly. "As do I Lulu, and from the Pokemon we saw at the Crystal Empire, I can assume that there will be many more," Celestia said, draping her wing over her sister. "And maybe we can see that new baby Eevee that Twilight told us about," Timmy said, just as the chariots came to a stop in front of the castle of friendship, as well as a bamboozled crystal family, "Cadence! I didn't know you were coming as well," Celestia said, looking at her niece. "Yeah well, I decided to take a day off, seeing as my schedule for today was free, and me and Shining wanted to bring Nathan, Skyla, and Guard here to see Wills ranch," Cadence said, before a look of confusion crept upon her face, "And what of you? Were both your schedules free for today as well?" she asked. "Yes, and we decided that we'd bring our children as well to come and see Will," Celestia replied. "Just let us set our stuff near Twilights castle, and then we can go and see the ranch," Cadence said, as she and her family went to set their stuff down, before joining the regal sisters and their sons, making their way to Wills ranch. > Chapter 13: Egg adoption (Part 1) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "And here we have the electric type portion of the grasslands," Will said, leading the class to a portion of the grasslands that had some charred spots, obviously from lightning strikes. "What sort of electric type Pokemon are there?" a young brown colt asked, just as a small blue cat like Pokemon with a star at the end of its tail was running with a yellow sheep Pokemon and a very small yellow mouse Pokemon with pink cheeks. "Like those ones. The blue on is Shinx, the wooly yellow one is Mareep, and the smallest of the bunch is Pichu," Will said, as Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy pulled out there Pokedex's. "Shinx, the flash Pokemon, if it senses danger, it flashes is whole body in a brilliant light, and runs off while its enemy is blinded," Rarity's Pokedex said. "Mareep, the wool Pokemon, its fleece grows continually. In the summer, the fleece is fully shed, but it grows back in a week," Applejacks Pokedex said. "Pichu, the tiny mouse Pokemon, and the pre-evolved form of Pikachu. It is not yet skilled at storing electricity. It may send out a jolt if amused or startled," Fluttershy's Pokedex said. "They're all so cute!" Fluttershy said with a squee. "And if you look over there, you can see some more electric types, as well as a few other Pokemon as well," Will said, pointing towards more electric type Pokemon, including the same Luxray and Houndoom from the first day he had in the Crystal Empire. "Its those same Pokemon from the Crystal Empire!" Twilight said, as she pulled out her Pokedex. "Houndoom, the dark Pokemon, and the evolved form of Houndour. If enraged, it spews a fire that is filled with toxins. If anyone was burnt by these flames, the burn would never heal," the Pokedex said, gaining nervous gulps from everyone there, as Twilight then pointed the Pokedex at Luxray, "Luxray, the gleam eyes Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Shinx. Because of its vision, which allows it to see through solid surfaces, its very handy for scouting," the Pokedex said. "Yeesh, that Houndoom sounds dangerous!" Snips commented. "Yeah, but Luxrays vision sounds cool," Toby countered. "What are those ones over there?" Josh asked, pointing to several aqua green and yellow Pokemon. Looking in the direction of where Josh was pointing, Will then said, "That would be Typhlosion and a group of Cyndaquil and Quilava." Pulling out her Pokedex, Pinkie pointed it at the fire Pokemon, "Cyndaquil, the fire mouse Pokemon. It is timid, and always curls itself up in a ball. If attacked, it flares up its back for protection. Quilava, the volcano Pokemon, and the evolved form of Cyndaquil. This Pokemon id fully covered by nonflammable fur. It can withstand any kind of fire attack. Typhlosion, the Volcano Pokemon, and the fully evolved form of Cyndaquil. It has a secret, devastating move. It rubs its blazing fur together to cause a huge explosion," the Pokedex said. "So, they're all immune to the fire they produce?" Twilight asked, which Will nodded in confirmation. While looking around, trying to see more Pokemon, Kelly gasped when she saw her aunt, uncle and cousin coming towards them, along with the regal pony sisters, and their sons, "Uh, Mommy?" Kelly said, tapping on her mothers shoulder. "What is it Kelly?" Twilight asked, before she looked to where her daughter was looking, and gasped too. Her gasp was not unheard, as the others turned, and they were all shocked to the Crystal family and the regal sisters, "Cadence? Shining? Celestia and Luna?! What're you all doing here?!" Twilight asked hysterically. "We had a free day today, so we decided to come and see Wills ranch," Celestia replied calmly. "But, but, but, you should've at least wrote to me so you can let me know you were coming!" Twilight cried. "Now Twilight, what kind of a surprise visit would this be if we told you we were coming?" Cadence asked. Twilight tried to speak, but she was unable to make any sentences. "Will, would it be ok if we joined you on the tour of your ranch?" Luna asked. "Well, seeing as how we're finishing up the tour here in the grasslands, do you think you can wait until after the tour to have a private tour?" Will asked. "Very well," Celestia said with a smile. "Don't worry, it wont be long," Will reassured the regal sun sister, who nodded in understanding, "Ok kids, if you'll all just follow me, I have a special surprise for all of you," he added on, as he led the class to where his egg storage area was, "Your highness, your group can come with us, if you wish?" the trainer asked. "We would love to, thank you Will," Celestia replied, as she and her group followed the trainer and the class to his egg storage area. After some walking, they arrived at the egg storage area, where all the excess eggs were all sitting outside, waiting for the classes return, "Excellent work girls," Will said, looking at his trios of Gardevoir and Lopunny, "And thanks to the both of you as well," Will said, looking at Mewtwo and Deoxys, "Now then, here is the surprise I wanted to show all of you," Will said, presenting the eggs to the class. "You're giving us eggs?" Bolt asked incredulously. "Yes, these are special Pokemon Eggs. Depending on their pattern, they will hatch into certain Pokemon," Will explained, "Which is why I want to give each of you t=your very one Pokemon egg," he said with a smile. "Well, as nice as that sounds, I would rather my son not have one, seeing as how dangerous some of them sounded," a mare said, which Will shrugged. "And most of us aren't ready for a pet yet," Snails commented, which Will nodded in understanding. "Mommy, would it be ok if I got an egg?" Josh asked Twilight. "I see no problem with that, but it will be your responsibility, same goes for the rest of you," Twilight replied, looking at her children, who all nodded in understanding. "I will allow you three to get an egg, but as Twilight said, it will be your responsibility," Rarity said, looking at her son, daughter, and sister, who all nodded in understanding. "If ya kids want an egg too, ah will allow it, but as they said, it will be your responsibility," Applejack said to her family as well. "What they said," Rainbow Dash and Pinkie said to their families as well, as they nodded in understanding. "Daddy, you don't mind if I get one, do you?" Diamond Tiara asked her father. "I don't mind at all pumpkin, but as they said, it will be your responsibility," Filthy Rich replied, which his daughter nodded in agreement. "The same goes for you as well Silver Spoon," Silver Spoons father told his daughter, who nodded in understanding. "As does for you Dinky," Ditzy said to her unicorn daughter, who nodded as well. "Uh Will, before we choose and egg to take with us, can we see what Pokemon they'll hatch into?" Fluttershy asked. "Sure, just follow me to the nursery, and I can show you all the baby Pokemon," Will said, leading the elements of harmony, the regal sisters, the crystal family, and the other three family's to the nursery. After a few minutes, they arrived at the nursery, "Ok, so here we are, from here, you can decide which Pokemon egg you all want," Will explained as he opened the door. Once inside, the ponies were amazed at the baby Pokemon that were there, "Ok, so go and try to find a Pokemon that speaks to you," Will said, as the children and Fluttershy went to look for a Pokemon they wanted. While walking, Toby saw two fox Pokemon, one was a bright orange one with six brownish orange tails and tuft, while the other was a yellow fox with a red tipped tail, "Will, who are these two?" Toby asked, motioning towards the foxes. "The orange one is Vulpix, and the yellow one is Fenniken," Will replied, as he saw Fluttershy pull out her Pokedex. "Vulpix, the fire fox Pokemon. At birth, it only has one white tail. As it matures, the tail grows and splits into six separate tails. Fenniken, the fox Pokemon. Its diet normally consists of twigs, and it can expel bursts of fire that can reach nearly 400 degrees. the Pokedex said, giving info on the two foxes. "Interesting. Momma, would it be ok if I got an egg for these two?" Toby asked his mother. "Of course sweetie," Fluttershy replied with a smile, just as a small greenish blue Pokemon that looked like one of Metagross' legs came floating by. "Who's that Pokemon?" Toby asked. "That would be Beldum," Will replied, as Fluttershy directed her Pokedex at the floating Pokemon. "Beldum, the iron leg Pokemon. It floats by emitting a magnetic wave that counters the gravity of Earth. When it sleeps, it sticks the claws on the bottom of it to the side of a cliff," the Pokedex said. "If you want Toby, you can have all three, if you like Beldum as well," Will offered. "Can I Momma?" Toby asked. "Of course sweetie," Fluttershy nodded. Just then, she felt something pulling on her mane. She looked down to see Serenity, holding a brown and yellow bunny Pokemon. "M-mommy, would it be ok if I got an egg for this cutie?" Serenity asked. "Aww, of course it would, but let me see what it is," Fluttershy replied, pulling out her Pokedex. "Buneary, the rabbit Pokemon. If it senses danger, its ears stick straight up. In the winter, to keep from getting cold, it pulls its fur over its head to keep warm," the Pokedex said, just as Buneary pulled some fur over its face. "I think it likes you Serenity," Fluttershy commented, which made her daughter blush, as Buneary snuggled more. "Hey Toby, can you help me find a Pokemon?" Toby turned to see Silver Spoon standing before him. "Ok, I'd love to," Toby said, standing up, and walking with the gray filly. Walking over to the pond area, they could see a small blue Pokemon with white polka dots, and a big blue ball tail, "How about this one? Its just as cute as you are," Toby suggested, picking up the small Pokemon. "Oh Toby, you say the sweetest things!" Silver Spoon said with a deep blush. "Lets see who this cutie is," Fluttershy said, pointing the Pokedex at the creature. "Azurill, the Polka Dot Pokemon, and the pre-evolved form of Marill. Its tail holds all the nutrients it needs to grow," the Pokedex said, as Azurill snuggled under Silver Spoons chin. "Aww, it likes me!" Silver Spoon said happily. Meanwhile with Twilight, As she saw her children looking for a Pokemon of their own, Twilight felt something lick her hoof. Looking down, she squealed when she saw a small brown puppy Pokemon, with light brown fur on its face, "Aww, and just who are you, you little cutie?" she said in a baby voice as she pulled out her Pokedex. "Lillipup, the Puppy Pokemon. The long hair around its face provides as an amazing radar that lets it sense subtle changes in its surroundings. Being a very intelligent Pokemon, it always flees if its at a disadvantage," the Pokedex said. "Too bad the Pokedex didn't say anything about how cute you are!" Twilight said, scooping Lillipup in a warm hug, which Lillipup responded with a lick on Twilights face, which made Twilight squeal more. She then saw her sons and daughters looking down at her curiously, "Uh, hehe, I found my Pokemon," she said nervously. "As did I," Josh said, as a small blue frog with a white bubbly collar came hopping behind him. "We did too!" Kelly, Crystal, Nyx, and Trinity said in unison, holding up, in respective order, a little yellow cone shaped Pokemon, a purple clam Pokemon, a small gray and black wolf Pokemon, and a little blue turtle Pokemon. "Ooh, Cory, did you find one?" Twilight asked. "More like it found me," came a blunt answer. Turning towards where his voice came from, Twilight and the others winced when they saw a small green cactus like Pokemon hugging Cory by the neck. "Ooh, that has to hurt," Trinity commented. "It did at first, but it doesn't anymore," Cory clarified. "Lets see what you Pokemon are," Twilight said, pointing her Pokedex at her children's Pokemon. "Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokemon. The frubbles around its neck can expand, creating a thick, sticky shield. Snorunt, the snow cap Pokemon, it is said that this Pokemon is to bring good fortune to any who find it. Shellder, the bivalve Pokemon, its hard shell is impervious to any kind of attack. Its only vulnerable when the shell is open. Poochyena, the Bite Pokemon. It chases its prey until the victim becomes exhausted. However, it turns tail if the prey strikes back. Squirtle, the tiny turtle Pokemon. Squirtle's shell is not merely used for protection. The shell's rounded shape and the grooves on its surface help minimize resistance in water, enabling this Pokémon to swim at high speeds. Cacnea, the Cactus Pokemon. It normally lives in dry deserts with little to no rainfall. It attacks by swinging its spikey arms around like hammers," the Pokedex said. "Huh, those seem like interesting traits," Trinity commented, as she held Squirtle. "I think Poochyena would make the cutest pet!" Nyx said, as Poochyena licked her face. "I think Cacnea will be my choice," Cory said, as the cactus Pokemon let go of his neck. "I think I'll stay with Froakie," Josh said. "I want a Snorunt!" Kelly said cheerfully. "Shellder is just the cutest thing!" Crystal said. "I like turtles, so I want a Squirtle," Trinity said. > Chapter 13: Egg Adoption (Part 2) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walking around, Conner and Charity were looking for their own Pokemon. Just as they came across a rocky play set, Conner saw a rock Pokemon. It was a small blue rock with a yellow inning, "Take a look at this one Charity," Conner said, presenting the rock Pokemon to his little sister. "Its interesting," Charity commented, as something slimy crashed on her head, "EEW! Conner, what's on my head?!" Charity asked. "It appears to be a slug of some kind, but it looks tired," Conner replied, as the slug Pokemon slid off of Charity's head. Once Charity saw the poor slug Pokemon, she immediately went from disgust to worry, "Oh, the poor dear!" she said. "Mommy!" Conner called to Rarity, who quickly came over, "Does the Pokedex say anything on what this little guy needs?" he asked. "Let me see," Rarity said, pointing her Pokedex at the slug. "Goomy, the soft tissue Pokemon. Goomy is the weakest of all dragon type Pokemon. However, to avoid attacks it coats it self in a slimy membrane which attacks slide off it," the Pokedex said. "'Dragon type'? It doesn't look like a dragon type," Rarity commented. "What does it say about its health?" Conner asked. Looking at the entry at Goomy, Rarity read, "It says here that Goomy becomes lethargic if it doesn't have enough water." Looking around, Charity found the pond where the water Pokemon were playing in, "Over there!" Charity said, as she used her magic to pick up Goomy and took it over to the pond, where she dropped it in. Once in the water, Goomy was slowly gaining some color back, but not fast enough, "Its not good, Goomy still looks too weak," Charity said. "I know! Maybe we can find some buckets and pour some water on Goomy!" Conner said. "The buckets are right over there," the family turned to see Cindy standing there, pointing at a broom closet. "How convenient," Rarity commented, as she and Charity grabbed some buckets, and started filling them with water. Once enough was in them, they poured them onto Goomy, who was looking better by the bucket. "Now Goomy, why were you up in the rocky mountain play area? You know the rock Pokemon don't like water," Cindy asked the Pokemon. "Well, I was wanting to play with the Larvitar up in the mountains," Goomy replied. "Well, if you want to play with them, you need to tell them to come down from the rocky area, Will and I keep telling you that," Cindy explained, as she walked away to help identify some Pokemon for the ponies without Pokedex's. "Thank you for helping me!" Goomy said to Charity. "Oh it was nothing dear Goomy," Charity said, before turning to her mother, "Mommy, I quite like Goomy! Its so cute!" she said with a blush. "Well, despite the slime that it coats itself with, I agree!" Rarity said, blushing. She then turned her attention to her son, "And you Conner, what Pokemon did you find?" Rarity asked. "Its this little guy," Conner replied, motioning towards the rock Pokemon he found. "Well, lets see who this little one is," Rarity said, pointing the Pokedex at the rock pokemon. "Roggenrola, the mantle Pokemon. Roggenrola's body contains an energy core which is hard as steel from being compressed underground," the Pokedex said. "Well, I think Roggenrola is the one for me," Conner said. "Very well," Rarity said, as he mane rustled a bit. "Did you find a Pokemon too Mommy?" Charity asked. "It did," Rarity replied, as a small orange rodent Pokemon with a long tail came out, "The Pokedex says its name is Dedenne," she explained, as Dedenne climbed down, and approached the two children. "No doubt in m mind that Serenity would go gaga for this little one," Charity said, as Dedenne chased its tail for no reason, before cuddling close to Rarity. "Well I certainly like it a lot, so Fluttershy and Serenity will just go berserk over how cute it is!" Rarity said. "Hey Rarity!" the three turned to see Sweetie Belle with what appeared to be shrimp like Pokemon, "What's this little guy's name?" the filly asked, as the older mare pointed her Pokedex at the shrimp. "Anorith, the old shrimp Pokemon. An ancestral Pokemon that lived in the sea. It eight feet eventually became wings," the Pokedex said. "Says here that Anorith is Bug and Rock type," Rarity added. "But what did it mean by 'ancestral'?" Sweetie Belle asked. "I can tell you," the family turned to face Will, "Anorith is among the few Pokemon that are restored from fossils," Will explained. "Wait, you humans found a way to restore fossilized Pokemon?" Rarity asked. "That's right. Anorith, along with other ancient Pokemon, like Kabuto, Tirtouga, and Areodactyl are all Pokemon that can be restored from fossils. I myself had discovered each fossil, and had each ancient Pokemon restored. It was fossil labs like in Pewter City, Rustburo City, and Oreburgh City that have labs that can restore Pokemon," Will replied. "Wow, that's incredible!" Rarity commented. "And to think, this little guy's an ancient Pokemon," Sweetie Belle commented, looking at her Anorith. As she looked around for the Pokemon that she felt destined for, Scootaloo was searching in the rocky terrain of the nursery, "This stinks! I can't find any Pokemon," she complained, as a shadow loomed over head. Looking up, the Pegasus filly saw a small blue Pokemon with a gray head, looking as though it was about to jump off the cliff, "DON'T DO IT!" Scootaloo screamed, as she chased for the young Pokemon, who didn't listen, as it jumped off the cliff and flapped its tiny arms as if it was trying to fly. It did so in vain, as it plummeted to the ground, head first. Scootaloo raced to try and catch the little one, but was too late, as the Pokemon crashed its head on the boulder, which shattered instantly. Scootaloo was amazed at how the little Pokemon came out unscathed, "You're a tough one, aren't ya?" she asked. "Hey squirt, you found one?" the orange filly turned to see her idol standing there. "I think so. This little guy looks like he was trying to fly," Scootaloo replied, pointing at the blue Pokemon. Pulling out her Pokedex, Rainbow Dash pointed it at the Pokemon, "Bagon, the Rock Head Pokemon. Because of its dream of someday flying, it practices jumping off cliffs in an attempt to fly. Because of this, it strengthens it head to point where it can smash rocks," the Pokedex said. "So, it wants to fly?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Yep," the blue Pegasus turned to see Will, "But for Bagon to fly, it first needs to evolve into a Shelgon, and then into a Salamence," Will explained. "Shelgon? Salamence?" Rainbow asked, looking up the aforementioned Pokemon. "Shelgon, the Endurance Pokemon, and the evolved form of Bagon. Inside its sturdy shell, a transformation is going on. Salamence, the Dragon Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Bagon. As a result of its strong desire to fly, the cells triggered a wing growth," the Pokedex said. "And what about you, Rainbow Dash? Have you found a Pokemon?" Will asked. "Not yet," Rainbow said, as a small Torkoal came around the bend, which caught her interest, "What's that one?" she asked, motioning at the coal Pokemon. "That's a Torkoal," Will replied, as Rainbow pointed the Pokedex at Torkoal. "Torkoal, the coal Pokemon. It burns coal in the hexagonal holes on its shell to make energy. Its mostly common around abandoned coal mines," the Pokedex said. "I see you want a Torkoal?" Will asked. "Yeah, I think my tortoise Tank would love a play mate," Rainbow replied. "Then you'll get a Torkoal egg," Will said, as he left the two pegasi alone. "I'd better go check on Echo and Vibrant," Rainbow said, strolling away with Scootaloo, Bagon, and Torkoal in tow. Bouncing along happily, looking at all the baby Pokemon, Pinkie and her three daughters looked for a Pokemon to call their own, "See anything girls?" Pinkie asked. "Not yet, but we hope to find one," Clover replied, as a small ghostly Pokemon appeared. It was wrapped in a brown cloak with a skull for a face, and one red eye, "I think I found one!" Clover exclaimed, pointing a the Pokemon. Looking at what her daughter was referring to, Pinkie pulled out her Pokedex. "Duskull, the Requiem Pokemon. If it finds bad children who won't listen to their parents, it will spirit them away---or so its said," The Pokedex said, which made Clover shudder in nervousness. "Don't worry Clover, the Pokedex said it only takes bad kids. You're anything but bad!" Pinkie said, nuzzling her daughter, as Duskull floated into the little girls arms, and cuddled close to her. "Aww, its so cute!" Clover commented, cuddling with Duskull. "Hey, look over here!" Melody called, as she was looking at a short green biped Pokemon with a red belly and red eyes, and a horn on the top of its head, "Who's this little cutie?" Melody asked, as Pinkie pointed the Pokedex at the Pokemon. "Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokemon. It feeds on soil. After it has eaten a large mountain, it falls asleep so it an grow," the Pokedex said. "Oof, a big appetite for such a small guy," Melody commented, as Larvitar hugged her leg. "SO MUCH FLUFFY!" the three turned to see Lucky buried under a bunch of woolly lamb Pokemon. "Mareep, the Wool Pokemon. Its fleece grows constantly. In the summer the fleece is fully shed, but it grows back in a week," the Pokedex said, as Lucky made it out of the group of Mareep. "There's so many!" Lucky commented. "And there's something those Pokedex's won't tell you," the four turned to Cindy, "When Mareep store electricity in their fleece, the wool becomes more luxurious, so when its shed, Rarity might make something out of the wool," she explained. "I want one!" Lucky said, as a Mareep nuzzled at her. "And what about you Pinkie, found any Pokemon you want?" Cindy asked. "Nah, I don't think I'll get one. Besides, I can play with my daughters and their Pokemon whenever I want to," Pinkie replied, as Cindy shrugged. > Chapter 14: Egg Adoption (Part 3) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walking around the rough terrain habitat, Applejack was helping her children find their own Pokemon. As they walked, they saw what appeared to be a hippo Pokemon. It was tan with dark brown spots, "Hey, maybe this little guy can be mine," Mike said, as he knelt down to look at the Pokemon, as Applejack pulled out her Pokedex. "Hippopotas, the Hippo Pokemon. This Pokemon hates water, so it lives only in the driest deserts. It shrouds itself in sand to ward of germs," the Pokedex said. "Well, keeping Hippopotas healthy shouldn't be too hard," Mike commented. "Wonder if there are any other...OWWW!" Bolt cried, as he felt something clamp on his head. It was a blue shark of some kind, but it had arms and legs. Once Mike and Season got the shark off, Applejack pointed the Pokedex at it. "Gible, the Land Shark Pokemon. It nests in horizontal holes warmed by geothermal heat. Foes who get too close can expect to be pounced on and bitten," the Pokedex said. "Does that mean we were near Gible's nest?" Bolt asked. "Not necessarily," the family turned to see Cindy, "You see, when certain Pokemon, like Gible, bites you on your head, it means they really like you," Cindy explained. "Well, that's one way of showing affection, I guess?" Mike commented. "Well, there are many ways for Pokemon to show affection as there are Pokemon, so its not really surprising," Cindy replied, as she walked off. "Huh, well, I guess if Gible likes me, then I'll get a Gible," Bolt commented, as they left the rough terrain habitat, and made their way to the forest. "Now, Ah just need a Pokemon," Season said, as she looked around. She eventually came across two dog like Pokemon, romping around. One was reddish orange, with black stripes, while the other was black with what she thought was white armor, "Who are they?" Season asked. "Growlithe, the Puppy Pokemon. This extremely loyal Pokemon does not move unless its trainer bids so, and bravely barks at those who threaten its trainer. Houndour, the Dark Pokemon. To corner prey, they check each other's location using barks only they understand," the Pokedex said. "Well, maybe Winona wouldn't mind some playmates," Season commented, as the two Pokemon took notice of her and rushed over, and sniffed her, curious about the pony. As they walked around, Nathan, Cadence, Shining, Guard, and Skyla were at awe at the various Pokemon there were, more so Nathan, at all the Pokemon he never saw before, "Wow, where did Will catch these Pokemon?" Nathan asked. "You're telling us you've never seen most of these creatures before?" Shining Armor asked. "That's right. This is the first time Ah've ever seen these type of Pokemon," Nathan replied, as a sword floated by, "Like that one. But if Ah were to guess, Ah'd say it was a steel and ghost type," he theorized. "Right you are," the family turned to see Will, "Honedge, along with its evolved forms, are the only Pokemon to have a combination of Steel and Ghost attributes," he explained. "Wow, amazing!" Nathan said in awe. "You know Nathan, how would you like a Pokemon like Honedge that hails from the Kalos region?" Will offered. "'Kalos'? What's that?" Nathan asked. "Its a region that's rich with the history of Mega Evolution. Its also where the worlds first Mega Evolution took place," Will replied. "What was that Pokemon, a Blaziken?" Cadence asked. "No, it was Lucario," Will replied. "Wow, so Lucario can Mega Evolve too?" Nathan asked. "Yep, so what kind of Pokemon would you like?" Will asked. "Hmm, that's a tough one, maybe a Fighting Type?" Nathan asked. "Ok, well, how about a Hawlucha?" Will offered. "Hawlucha?" Nathan asked. "Yep, it has the only type combination of Fighting and Flying, and it has a signature move that simultaneously a Fighting and Flying type move. This move is called Flying Press," Will explained. "Wow! Ah never would have guessed there'd be a Pokemon with that type combination," Nathan said. "Well, if you want, I can go find one for you, just so you can see what kind of Pokemon it is," Will offered. "Ok, Ah'd love that!" Nathan replied, as Will darted off. "So, now we know a little bit more about Mega Evolution history," Cadence said. "As well as the first Pokemon to use it," Shining Armor said. Just then, Will came back with a bird Pokemon, with a red beak head, and white legs. "So, this Hawlucha?" Nathan asked, looking at the new Pokemon. "Yep, and Hawlucha is classified as the Wrestling Pokemon," Will replied. "I'd say its a perfect match for you," Cadence said, as Hawlucha looked at the bat winged boy. Nathan also looked back at Hawlucha. "Ah would love to have a fighting type Pokemon," Nathan replied, as Hawlucha walked over to the boy, and stood by him, "Oh yeah, before Ah forget, what can you tell us about that Honedge from earlier?" he asked. "Well, its said that it latches the blue ribbon at the end of its hilt to any who dare try to grab it, and drains them of their life force," Will replied, which made the family shudder, "Its final evolved form, Aegislash is also the only known Pokemon to use a defensive move call Kings Shield. This move powers down the attack power of a Pokemon that uses a physical attack, like Fire Punch or Blaze Kick," he added. "Ah didn't know there was such a move like that," Nathan commented. "There's also another move that's a signature move for the final evolved form of Chespin. This Pokemon is called Chesnaught, and the move is called Spikey Shield, which damages an opponent if a physical move is used," Will added. "I wish to see a Chespin, if it's alright with you?" Cadence asked. "Alright, just come this way," Will said, leading the family to an area with grass type Pokemon. Once there, Will picked up a small green and brown Pokemon with spikes on its head, "This is a Chespin, the grass type Starter Pokemon for trainers in the Kalos region," Will said, as he gave Cadence the Pokemon. "Its so cute!" Cadence said, cuddling the Pokemon. "So, its one of the starters for Kalos?" Nathan asked. "Yep, the other two are the water type Froakie, and the fire type Fenniken," Will replied, which Nathan nodded in understanding, "So, what about you Shining, have you found one yet?" Will asked. "Not yet," Shining replied, before they all heard some sort of bashing sound. "Sounds like the Shieldon are sparring," Will commented. "'Shieldon'?" Shining asked. "They're a Steel and Rock type Pokemon whose greatest feature is their iron hard faces, which are as strong as a shield," Will replied. "Sounds like the perfect match for you," Cadence commented. "Most likely they're off in the clearing over there," Will said, pointing towards the forest, and leading the group towards where the Shieldon were. Once there, they saw several yellow creatures with gray faces, bashing their faces either against each other or on some dead stumps. "Hmm, they look like something I'd like," Shining Armor commented, as one of the Shieldon spotted the group, and carefully walked over to them, and looked at the two ponies curiously, just as Skyla and Guard went over to look at the Shield Pokemon. "Well, it looks like Skyla and Guard like them," Cadence said. "Well, Shieldon are very kindhearted Pokemon," Will explained. "Then, I would like one," Shining Armor said, as Will nodded in understanding. After about an hour of looking around, all of families had come back to the front of the nursery area, all with a Pokemon of their own. Celestia and Luna had found two rock Pokemon, each corresponding with the sun and the moon. Chris had found a small, one-eyed Pokemon with magnets and bolts. Drake had found a small green Pokemon with tusks, while Timmy had found a Pokemon, similar to Chris', except it was composed of two rotating gears. Diamond Tiara had found a poodle like Pokemon. Dinky found a Pokemon that resembled cotton candy, "Ok, looks like everyone's gotten themselves their own Pokemon," Cindy commented. "So now, we can go fetch eggs for each of them," Will replied, as everyone exited the nursery. However, as they exited, they were met with Discord and his family, along with three young boys. One had an aggressive expression, with purple hair. The second boy had red hair with blackish purple sweater. The third boy had an orange jacket, with pale tan hair and beige eyes. They didn't notice the pony folks. "I take it you're Will?" the purple haired boy asked. "Uh, yeah, I am," Will replied, uneasily. "My name's Paul. I come from Veilstone City," the boy said. "My name is Silver," the red haired boy said. "And I'm Trip, from Numeva Town," the tan haired boy said. "And we challenge you to a battle," Paul stated. > Chapter 15: Will vs. Paul > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was an awkward silence, as what Paul had said had gotten through to Will and the others, "Now hold on!" Cindy said, getting out in front, "You can't just challenge him like that!" Cindy demanded. "We weren't talking to you, shrimp," Silver said. "Now hold on, lets not get nasty!" Twilight demanded. "Besides, Will doesn't battle anymore!" Toby added. "When we heard that Will was one of the strongest Pokemon Masters there was, we came all the way to Mahogany Town, just for the chance to battle him," Trip said. "Hold on," Will said, as he approached the three boys, "You say you came all the way out to Mahogany Town, just to battle me?" he asked, surprised. "I came all the way from Numeva Town just for the chance to battle you," Trip replied. "And I came all the way from the Sinnoh region to face you," Paul said. "And you came from your hometown, as well?" Will asked, turning to Silver. "Yeah," Silver bluntly stated. "Well, sorry guys, but Will doesn't battle anymore," Rainbow Dash said. "Now hold on, I never said I would decline their challenge," Will replied. Everyone looked at him with widened eyes. "You mean, you're going to accept their challenges?" Twilight asked. "Just look at them. With the fierce determination these boys are showing, how can I refuse?" Will replied. "Alright, so, how does six on six battles sound?" Paul asked. "Sounds good to me," Will replied. "And I've mastered Mega Evolution, so I'd like to take on one of your Mega Pokemon," Silver demanded, showing his Mega Medallion. "As do I," Paul said, as he showed Will his Mega Ring. "I don't have any Mega Pokemon, but I want to battle one too," Trip stated. "Very well. I'll go ahead and get six Pokemon for each of you to battle," Will said, as he went over to the Pokeball storage area. A little later, The family and the three new boys were waiting at the battlefield for Will to come back with the six Pokemon for the three boys to battle. Eventually, Will had arrived with a box containing eighteen Pokeballs, "Alright boys, who wants to battle me first?" Will asked, looking at the three challengers. Paul stepped up. "I'll go," Paul replied, his angry expression not changing. "Alright. Silver, Trip, you guys ok with that?" Will asked the two other boys. "Fine with me," Trip replied. Silver just shrugged his shoulders. "Alright, Will, if its ok, I would like to referee," Cindy called to her brother. "Fine with me," Will replied. "Alright, now then, here are the rules! Both trainers have the use of six Pokemon for this match. The battle will be over when all six of either sides Pokemon are unable to continue. Furthermore, the exchange of Pokemon on both sides will be permitted. In addition, the sixth Pokemon on both sides will be ones that can Mega Evolve. That sound fair?" Cindy asked. "All cool with me," Will replied. "I'm alright with it," Paul said. "Alright, trainers, CHOOSE YOU POKEMON!" Cindy called. Both Will and Paul threw their Pokeballs at the same time. Paul's Pokeball release a Ninjask, while Will's Pokeball release a pale tan Pokemon with a face on its belly, a head that looked like a fez with a red dot for an eye, and large arms and hands. "Oh wow, a Dusknoir!" Nathan exclaimed. Twilight took her Pokedex out, and pointed it at Dusknoir. "Dusknoir, the Gripper Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Duskull. The antenna on Dusknoir's head is said to receive transmissions from the spirit world," the Pokedex said. "Alright, battle begin!" Cindy called. "Alright Dusknoir, use Mean Look!" Will called to the Ghost Pokemon. Dusknoir shot a ring of darkness at Ninjask. "Strange, it doesn't look Mean Look didn't do anything," Shining Armor commented. "No, it did do something," Nathan said. "What do you mean?" Kelly asked. "Well, in Pokemon Battles, switching out Pokemon is a good strategy. It gives trainers the opportunity to tip battles in their favor. But Mean Look is a move that prevents the exchange of Pokemon, which is one of the reasons why Will had Dusknoir use Mean Look," Nathan explained. "I see, so that Paul kid can't switch out Ninjask for a Pokemon that has an advantage against Ghost Pokemon. That's a good strategy," Twilight commented. "On top o' that, Ninjask's bug type moves don't affect ghost types like Dusknoir very much," Nathan added. "Ninjask, use Shadow Ball!" Paul called to Ninjask. Ninjask fired a black ball of dark energy at Dusknoir. "Uh-oh, ghost type moves like Shadow Ball are super effective against Ghost type Pokemon," Nathan commented. "Dusknoir, block the attack!" Will instructed his Pokemon. Dusknoir held its hands out, and the Shadow Ball exploded on contact, but Dusknoir was still fine. "That Shadow Ball hit Dusknoir, but it doesn't look like it did much to it," Toby commented. "Dusknoir must have really high defense," Timmy commented. "Alright Dusknoir, its time to use Trick Room!" Will called. Dusknoir's red eye glowed a light blue color, which summoned a room made of psychic energy around the battlefield. "What's Trick Room?" Bolt asked. "Just wait," Nathan replied. "Alright Dusknoir, use Shadow Punch!" Will called again. Dusknoir's fist became cloaked in shadow energy, and appeared next to Ninjask in an instant, and punched Ninjask. "What was that?!" Rainbow Dash asked. "The effect of Trick Room," everyone looked at Nathan curiously, "See, Ninjask is much faster than Dusknoir. But in Trick Room, that's reversed. And with Ninjask's Speed Boost ability, it'll be even harder for Ninjask to land a solid blow ta Dusknoir," Nathan explained. "I see, so Trick Room lets the slower Pokemon move first?" Rarity asked. Nathan nodded. "And a good way for Paul to make a direct attack is to switch out with an even slower Pokemon, but he can't with Mean Look," Nathan added. "Clever move, but I'm not done yet. Ninjask, use Fury Cutter!" Paul called to the ninja Pokemon. Ninjask's claws glowed with a red energy. But as Ninjask flew towards Dusknoir, it was moving too slow. "Dusknoir, use Thunder Punch!" Will called. Dusknoir's fist became cloaked in electricity, as it quickly appeared in front of Ninjask, and punched the Ninja Pokemon. Ninjask fell to the ground with swirls in its eyes. "Ninjask is unable to battle, the winner is Dusknoir!" Cindy called. Paul recalled his Ninjask. "Good job Dusknoir, why not take a breather?" Will asked. "Ok Will," Dusknoir replied, as Will recalled the Gripper Pokemon. "Magmortor, stand by for battle!" Paul yelled, releasing a large Pokemon with the color scheme of fire on it. Rainbow Dash pointed her Pokedex at the fire Pokemon. "Magmortor, the Blast Pokemon, and the evolved form of Magmar. Magmortor live in volcanoes, and its arms can shoot fire balls of nearly 1500 degrees Fahrenheit," the Pokedex said. "Looks to be a fire type," Clover commented. "Which means Will should send out a Water, Rock, or Ground type," Trinity added. "Alright then Gigalith, I need your assistance!" Will called, releasing a large blue rock Pokemon with orange crystals growing around its body. Applejack pointed her Pokedex at Gigalith. "Gigalith, the Compressed Pokemon, and the evolved form of Boldore. The crystals growing around Gigalith's body catch the suns rays, which it then converts into power for its attacks," the Pokedex said. "Battle begin!" Cindy called. "Return Magmortor!" Paul called, recalling his fire Pokemon. "Why switch out?" Crystal asked. "Well, Fire type Pokemon like Magmortor have a disadvantage against rock types like Gigalith, so Paul is most likely going to go with either a Grass, Water, Steel, or Fighting type. On top o' that, Trick Room is still in effect for a few more turns, so Paul may want to exchange for a slower Pokemon," Nathan explained. "Hariyama, stand by for battle!" Paul called, as he released a large sumo wrestler Pokemon with very large orange hands. "Whoa, that Pokémon's huge!" Shining Armor commented. Rarity pointed her Pokedex at the massive Pokemon. 'Hariyama, the Arm Thrust Pokemon. One blow from this Pokémon's hands is powerful enough to snap a telephone pole in two,' the Pokedex said. "Gigalith, you'd better return!" Will called out to his Pokemon. "Hold on! I want to try to battle this one," Gigalith called back. Will looked unsure for a moment, but then smiled. "Alright, battle, begin!" Cindy called. "Alright, lets first strengthen our defenses with Iron Defense!" Will called. Gigalith then turned a lustrous shade of silver. "What was that?" Toby asked. "Its called Iron Defense. Its a move that sharply raises the defense o' the user. Mah guess is that Will is planning on keeping Hariyama's fighting type moves at bay, while whittling its strength," Nathan explained. "I see. But what if Hariyama's attack power is too strong?" Twilight asked. "Well just have to wait n' see," Nathan commented. "Alright Hariyama, use Arm Thrust!" Paul called. With that, Hariyama began hitting Gigalith with its large hands, but Gigalith held its ground. "Looks like Iron Defense is working," Celestia commented. "Alright Gigalith, use Earthquake!" Will called. With that, Gigalith slammed its feet down on the ground, causing the ground to shake. Hariyama stumbled because of shaking, "Alright, now use Hyper Beam!" Will called, prompting Gigalith to fire an orange beam at Hariyama. When it collided, Hariyama fell to the ground with swirls in its eyes. "Hariyama is unable to battle, the winner is Gigalith!" Cindy exclaimed. "Just one hit!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "Gigalith is one tough Pokemon," Nyx commented, as Paul recalled Hariyama. But Paul was smirking, which made Will very confused, but he shook it off. "Alright, Electivire, stand by for battle!" Paul yelled, as he released a large yellow gorilla Pokemon with wires for tails. Fluttershy pointed her Pokedex at the Pokemon. "Electivire, the Thunderbolt Pokemon, and the evolved form of Electabuzz. Electivire attacks by pressing the tips of its tails against its opponents," the Pokedex said. "Electivire looks a formidable opponent for sure," Cadence commented. "Will could switch Gigalith out for a ground type," Nathan commented. "If I were to guess, electric type moves don't work on ground types?" Twilight asked. Nathan nodded. "Gigalith, you fought valiantly. Go ahead and take a rest," Will said, recalling Gigalith. He then pulled out a Heavy Ball, "Alright, now Steelix, I need you help!" Will yelled, as he threw the Heavy Ball. Out of the Heavy Ball came a giant snake like creature that looked like it was made of steel, with spikes on its boulders. "Its Steelix this time!" Melody commented. Paul didn't seemed fazed by this. He seemed downright pleased. "What's Paul planning?" Toby pondered, as the battle began. "Alright Steelix, use Iron Tail!" Will commanded. Steelix's tail then started to glow. It then swung the glowing tail at Electivire. "PROTECT!" Paul commanded. Electivire then put up a green barrier, which deflected the Iron Tail. "What was that?" Celestia asked. "Its called Protect. Its a move that keeps the user from takin' damage. Of course, if used in excess, the chances of it failing increases," Nathan explained. "Good on ya Paul, but lets see how you handle Steelix's Dig!" Will yelled, as Steelix burrowed its way underground. "Will made the right move usin' Dig like that. Now Electivire can't attack, while also not being able to attack Steelix," Nathan said. "And if I were to guess, Dig is super effective against electric types, right?" Cadence asked. Nathan nodded in response. Just then, Steelix came up from out of the ground, striking Electivire. Electivire hit the ground hard, but was still standing. "We'd better go for broke. Electivire, use Brick Break!" Paul commanded, as Electivire charged at Steelix. "Counter that move with Iron Head!" Will commanded. Steelix became cloaked in a white energy, as it charged head first at Electivire, who karate chopped at Iron Head, only to get the full force of the attack. This in turn knocked Electivire to the ground, completely unconscious with swirls in its eyes. "Electivire is unable to battle, the winner is Steelix!" Cindy exclaimed, as Paul recalled Electivire. "Alright, Magmortor, stand by for battle!" Paul exclaimed as he rereleased Magmortor. "Fire Pokemon have an advantage over Steel types," Nathan said. "Yeah, but given the show that Steelix gave against Electivire, I doubt typing will do much," Rarity commented. "You want to take a breather Steelix?" Will asked. "Yeah, I would," Steelix replied, as Will recalled Steelix. "Alright, Pangoro, I choose you!" Will exclaimed, releasing a large, angry looking panda Pokemon with a bamboo sprig in its mouth. "Whoa! I've never seen that Pokemon before!" Nathan exclaimed. Rarity pointed her Pokedex at the panda Pokemon. "Pangoro, the Daunting Pokemon, and the evolved form of Pancham. While it possess a violent temperament, it does not put up with bullying. It uses the bamboo sprig in its mouth to sense its opponent's moves," the Pokedex said. "According to this, Pangoro is a Fighting/Dark type," Rarity commented. "Alright, battle BEGIN!" Cindy called. "Magmortor, use Flamethrower!" Paul ordered. Magmortor then pointed its hand at Pangoro, and fired a stream of fire at it. "Pangoro, counter that with Stone Edge!" Will ordered. Pangoro slammed its fist on the ground, causing blue colored rocks to sprout up from the ground, completely blocking Flamethrower, "Follow up with Dark Pulse!" Will ordered. Pangoro complied by firing a stream of dark rings at Magmortor. "Magmortor, block that with Rock Tomb!" Paul ordered. Magmortor summoned pillars of rock in front of it. It appeared to stop the Dark Pulse, only for the aforementioned attack to break through the rocks, and hit Magmortor head on, sending it skidding back. "Pangoro, use Focus Blast!" Will ordered. Pangoro complied, by launching a ball of energy at Magmortor, sending the latter flying back. It got back up, still able to fight. "Magmortor, use Fire Blast!" Paul ordered. "Pangoro, use Protect!" Will ordered. A green barrier appeared around Pangoro, as Fire Blast slid right off of it, "Let's finish up with Stone Edge!" Will instructed. Pangoro slammed its hands on the ground, and the blue rocks from before sprouted up. Magmortor didn't have time to dodge, as one of the rocks hit it, sending in flying to the ground. "Get up!" Paul ordered. Magmortor slowly got back up. "Pangoro, use Dark Pulse!" Will ordered. Pangoro then launched a stream of dark rings at Magmortor, who was unable to dodge in time, as the rings hit, knocking it back to the ground, with swirls in its eyes. "Magmortor is unable to battle, the winner is Pangoro!" Cindy exclaimed, motioning to Pangoro and Will. Paul recalled Magmortor, and held another Pokeball. "Honchkrow, stand by for battle!" Paul called, throwing the Pokeball, releasing a large crow like Pokemon, who looked like a mob boss. Fluttershy pointed her Pokedex at Honchkrow. "Honchkrow, the Big Boss Pokemon, and the evolved form of Murkrow. Honchkrow recruits many Murkrow to go and find it food, while it stays home, preening its amazing feathers," the Pokedex said. "Sounds like a Pokemon a guy like Paul would have," Cory commented. "You battle valiantly Pangoro, take a quick break," Will said, recalling Pangoro. "So now Will should go with Pokemon that are strong against Flying types?" Twilight asked. "Yeah, so he can choose between a rock Pokemon, like Gigalith, or an electric type, like Luxray or Ampharos," Nathan replied. "Alright, Dragonite, I need your assistance!" Will called, throwing a Luxray Ball, releasing a large, orange dragon Pokemon. "Wow, a Dragonite!" Nathan exclaimed. Twilight then pointed her Pokedex at the dragon. "Dragonite, the Dragon Pokemon, and the evolved form of Dragonair. Despite its bulky physique, it can circle the globe in just 16 hours. It is an extremely friendly Pokemon that guides lost ships into port," the Pokedex said. "Dragonite is able to use ice and electric type moves, so it should be a match for Honchkrow," Nathan commented. "Battle, BEGIN!" Cindy called. "Honchkrow, use Sky Attack!" Paul ordered. Honchkrow then became cloaked in light. "Dragonite, use Thunder!" Will ordered. Dragonite then unleashed a powerful lightning strike against Honchkrow. "Snap out of it! Unleash Sky Attack!" Paul ordered. Honchkrow complied, charging at Dragonite. "Dodge it!" Will ordered. Dragonite moved out of the way, just as Honchkrow closed in. Honchkrow then circled around, and charged back at Dragonite. The attack collided with Dragonite's back, but Dragonite seemed unfazed by this. "Use Night Slash!" Paul ordered. Honchkrow's wing then became cloaked in dark energy, as it charged at Dragonite. "Dragonite, use Ice Beam at the last second!" Will instructed. Dragonite then waited as Honchkrow closed in, before firing a bolt of cold energy at point blank range. Honchkrow then fell to the ground, encased in a block of ice. When the smoke cleared, Honchkrow had swirls in its eyes. "Honchkrow is unable to battle, the winner is Dragonite! The winner of part one of the match is Will!" Cindy declared. "Excellent work Dragonite!" Will said. "Thank you Will," Dragonite replied. "Now then, if I may ask both trainers to bring out their Pokemon so we may begin the Mega Evolution challenge?" Cindy asked. "Aggron, stand by for battle!" Paul called, releasing a large, iron Pokemon, wearing a necklace. "An Aggron, eh?" Will commented. "So Aggron can Mega Evolve too," Nathan commented. Rainbow Dash pointed her Pokedex at Aggron. "Aggron, the Iron Armor Pokemon, and the evolved form of Lairon. Aggron's diet consists of iron. It uses its horns to smash bedrock as it searches for iron," the Pokedex said. "Who would've thought there was a Pokemon that eats iron?" Scootaloo asked. "Now lets see what Pokemon Will chooses," Sweetie Belle said. "Alright, Salamence, I need you assistance!" Will called, throwing a Timer Ball, releasing a large blue Dragon Pokemon with red wings. Around its neck was a necklace with a Mega Stone. Applejack pointer her Pokedex at Salamence. "Salamence, the Dragon Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Bagon. Its dream of someday flying triggered a mutation in its cells, causing it to grow wings," the Pokedex said. "So its gonna be a battle between Mega Aggron and Mega Salamence," Nathan commented. "Key Stone, respond to my heart, and help my partner achieve greater power. Beyond Normal Evolution!" Will chanted, as he touched the Key Stone, "Salamence, Mega Evolve!" Will called, as energy seeped out of both stones. Salamence then began to Mega Evolve. Its two wings became one large crescent shaped wing. Salamence roared after it finished Mega Evolving. "So that's Mega Salamence," Shining Armor commented. "Now we get to see Mega Aggron," Celestia said, looking at Aggron. "Alright Aggron," Paul said, touching his Key Stone, "Mega Evolve!" Paul called, as energy seeped out of both their stones. Aggron became more larger in size, and appeared to have even more armor on. Aggron roared, showing its new power. "Mega Aggron is way larger!" Nyx commented. "According to this, Aggron, before Mega Evolving is a Steel and Rock type," Twilight said, looking at her Pokedex. "Does it say if it gained a new attribute?" Nathan asked. "Actually, as Mega Aggron, its just a Steel Type Pokemon, with the ability Filter," Twilight replied. "Wait, so certain Pokemon loose a type when Mega Evolving?" Nathan asked. "Are they not supposed to?" Pinkie asked. "Not usually, but lets get back to the battle," Nathan replied, looking at the battle field. "Salamence, use Flamethrower!" Will ordered. Salamence then launched a blast of fire at Aggron. "Aggron, use Iron Defense!" Paul ordered. Aggron then glowed with a blue outline. The Flamethrower hit, but some of the flames slid off. "Looks like Aggron gets a boost to its defensive power," Applebloom commented. "Aggron, use Ice Beam!" Paul ordered. Aggron let loose a beam of energy at Salamence. "Dodge it!" Will instructed. Salamence expertly dodged the oncoming Ice Beam, "Now, use Draco Meteor!" Will commanded. Salamence then launched a ball of orange energy into the air. Once it was high enough, it exploded into smaller comets that were headed straight for Aggron. "Wipe them out with Flash Cannon!" Paul ordered. Aggron fired a beam of white energy at the meteors. Some of them were destroyed, but the rest were able to hit Aggron. This caused Aggron to skid back a few paces, "Snap out of it! Use Ice Beam again, and aim for the wings!" Paul ordered. Aggron fired another Ice Beam, but it never hit Salamence, who was too fast for Aggron to aim at. "Alright Salamence, use Fire Blast!" Will ordered. Salamence fired a star shaped burst of fire at Aggron. When the attack hit, Aggron was engulfed in flames. "What's going on?" Rarity asked. "It an added effect of Fire Blast. There's usually a chance that the Pokemon hit by it will be afflicted with burn status," Nathan replied. "'Burn Status'?" Twilight asked. "Yeah, its a status that cuts a Pokémon's attack power," Nathan replied. "Alright Salamence, use Flamethrower!" Will ordered. Once again, Salamence fired a blast of fire at Aggron, causing a massive explosion. When the smoke cleared, Aggron was down on the ground, reverted back to its original form, with swirls in its eyes. "Aggron is unable to battle, the winner is Salamence! Which means the victor is Will!" Cindy declared, as Salamence reverted back to its original form as well, landing next to Will. "Good job Salamence," Will said, petting the dragons head, "Paul, I did enjoy our battle. Your Pokemon are well trained, for sure, but I feel your Pokemon are destined for even greater heights," Will said, commending Paul. "Thank you Will," Paul said, bowing in respect. "So, which of you two wants to go next?" Will asked Silver and Trip. "If its alright with you, I'll take the next battle," Silver said to Trip. "Go for it," Trip replied. > Chapter 16: Will VS. Silver > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silver took his position on the side of the field, opposite of Will, "Alright, the six on six Pokemon battle between Will of Mahogany Town and Silver of Viridian City will now begin! The same rules apply. For the first part of the match, each trainer is allowed five Pokemon. The sixth Pokemon will be a Pokemon that can use Mega Evolution. The match will be over when all six of either sides Pokemon is unable to battle. Pokemon substitutions will be permitted by both sides. If both trainers are ready, choose your first Pokemon!" Cindy called. "Weavile, come out now!" Silver said, throwing a Pokeball, releasing a Weavile. "Ok, Ninetails, I need your assistance!" Will called, releasing a beautiful, yellow nine tailed fox. "Amazing!" Rarity commented, pointing her Pokedex at the fox. "Ninetails, the Fox Pokemon, and the evolved form of Vulpix. According to legends, each one of Ninetails' tails holds a mysterious power, allowing it to live for a thousand years," the Pokedex said. "Alright, battle, BEGIN!" Cindy exclaimed. "Return Weavile!" Silver said, recalling Weavile. "Why switch out now?" Cadence asked. "Weavile is an ice type Pokemon, so it'll have a hard time against a fire type like Ninetails," Nathan replied. "I see, so he wants to switch out for a water, ground, or rock type Pokemon," Trinity commented. "Feraligatr, come out now!" Silver called, releasing a large, blue bipedal crocodile Pokemon with red crests on its back. "Feraligatr is a water type. Not good for Ninetails," Nathan commented. "You want to switch out Ninetails?" Will called. "No need," Ninetails replied. Will knew what she meant by this, and smiled. "Alright, battle begin!" Cindy declared. "Feraligatr, use Surf!" Silver ordered. Feraligatr summoned a tidal wave that was headed straight for Ninetails. "Ninetails, use Dig!" Will instructed. Ninetails burrowed its way underground, completely dodging the tidal wave. "Aim Water Pulse at the hole!" Silver ordered. Feraligatr began charging a ball of water, but its concentration was cut off when Ninetails emerged from beneath Feraligatr, causing it to stagger. "Use Energy Ball!" Will instructed. Ninetails launched a green ball at Feraligatr. "Come on, use Water Pulse!" Silver ordered. Feraligatr slammed a ball of water down on the ground, sending a shockwave of water at Ninetails. "Double Team," Will whispered. Several copies of Ninetails appeared. "What is that?" Twilight asked. "A move called 'Double Team'. Its a move that raises a Pokémon's evasiveness in battle," Nathan replied. "Now, Will-o-Wisp!" Will instructed. All the Ninetails' launched purple flames at Feraligatr, causing it to go up in flames. "What's Will-o-Wisp?" Fluttershy asked. "It a move that inflicts burn status on your opponent. Not only does it gradually reduce the Pokémon's endurance, but it also cuts their attack power in half," Nathan explained. "Alright Ninetails, use Hex!" Will instructed. Ninetails' eyes glowed a mysterious purple color, as wisps appeared around Feraligatr. "What's that?" Twilight asked. "A move called Hex. When a Pokemon is afflicted with a status, Hex's power in doubled," Nathan replied. Feraligatr looked to be struggling with the wisps. Eventually, Feraligatr fell to the ground with swirls in its eyes. "Feraligatr is unable to battle, the winner is Ninetails!" Cindy declared. "A fire Pokemon beat a water type? How can that be?" Celestia asked. "Ah would say it was because o' that Energy Ball from early. Energy Ball is a grass type move, so its super effective against water types," Nathan replied. Silver recalled Feraligatr, and held another Pokeball. "Alright, Magnezone, get out here!" Silver yelled, as he released a rather unusual looking Pokemon. It appeared to be a floating space station with magnets. Pinkie Pie pointer her Pokedex at Magnezone. "Magnezone, the Magnet Area Pokemon, and the evolved form of Magneton. This Pokemon evolved due to exposure to strong magnetic fields," the Pokedex said. "Ninetails, take a breather!" Will said, recalling the fox Pokemon, and pulling out another Pokeball, "Alright, Garchomp, I need your assistance!" Will called, releasing a large shark like Pokemon, that had a body shape similar to a jet plane. Applejack pointed her Pokedex at it. "Garchomp, the Mach Pokemon, and the final evolved for of Gible. When it folds its arms in, it can go at speeds of Mach 9," the Pokedex said. "Since Garchomp is a Ground type, electric type moves won't have any effect," Nathan commented. "Alright, battle BEGIN!" Cindy exclaimed. "Garchomp, use Sand Tomb!" Will instructed. A vortex of sand formed around the ground bellow Magnezone. "Magnezone, use Magnet Rise!" Silver ordered. Magnezone then floated up, out of range of the sand. "What was that?" Vibrant asked. "A move called 'Magnet Rise'. It makes all ground type moves ineffective using electromagnetism," Nathan replied. "But, wasn't Magnezone already floating?" Pinkie asked. "Ah don't really understand it mahself," Nathan simply replied. "Garchomp, use Dragon Claw!" Will instructed. Garchomp's claw turned green, as it slashed at Magnezone. The attack caused Magnezone to go spiraling back, "Now use Fire Fang!" Will instructed. Garchomp's teeth became engulfed in flames, as it bit down onto Magnezone, causing an explosion. When the smoke cleared, Garchomp stood over the fainted Magnezone. "Magnezone is unable to battle, the winner is Garchomp!" Cindy declared. "Magnezone didn't even get one hit in!" Rainbow Dash commented. "Garchomp must be well trained," Chris added, as Silver recalled his Magnezone, and pulled out another Pokeball. "Crobat, out her now!" Silver said, releasing a large, four winged bat. Fluttershy pointed her Pokedex at the bat. "Crobat, the Bat Pokemon, and the evolved form of Golbat. Its four wings allow it to make near impossible movements," the Pokedex said. "You want to take a breather?" Will asked. "Yes, thank you," Garchomp replied, as Will recalled him. "Lets see, a Crobat. In that case," Will said, holding up a Luxury Ball, "Aegislash, I need your assistance!" Will said, releasing a Pokemon that looked like a sword with a shield in front of it. Twilight pointed her Pokedex at Aegislash. "Aegislash, the Royal Sword Pokemon, and the evolved form of Doublade. According to records, the Pokemon attended generations of Kings. It has the ability to detect innate qualities of leadership. Whoever this Pokemon recognizes is destined to be King," the Pokedex said. "Must be from that 'Kalos' region," Nathan commented. "What do you mean?" Joshua asked. "All the games I have go up to the Unova region. There haven't been any Pokemon like Aegislash, or that Pangoro in any o' the previous regions. SO I don't know what to expect from these Pokemon," Nathan replied. "Alright, battle, BEGIN!" Cindy declared. "Crobat, Night Slash!" Silver ordered. Crobat's wings became cloaked in dark energy. "Aegislash, use King's Shield!" Will instructed. A barrier appeared in front of Aegislash, protecting Aegislash from Night Slash. Crobat seemed winded, as it bounced back. "Crobat looks tired," Clover commented. "Well, Will did say that King's Shield is the signature move for Aegislash. It not only protects the Pokemon using it, but it also decreases the attack power of the opponent, if the opponent used a physical move," Cadence said. "Alright, now to go to offense, Aegislash, use Sacred Sword!" Will instructed. Aegislash then tossed the shield up, and grabbed it with ribbon like hands. Then, the sword part of it glowed, and struck Crobat. The latter hit the ground hard. "Snap out of it, and use Night Slash!" Silver ordered. Crobat's wings became cloaked in the dark energy again. "Aegislash, use Hyper Beam at the last second!" Will instructed. Aegislash began charging up power for Hyper Beam as it awaited Crobat to come in closer. Once close enough, Aegislash unleashed a powerful orange colored beam at Crobat, hitting the bat Pokemon at point blank range, causing an explosion. When the smoke cleared, Crobat was on the ground with swirls in its eyes. "Crobat is unable to battle, the victor is Aegislash!" Cindy declared. "Crobat didn't get in a hit either," Applejack said. "Will's Pokemon are all well trained," Fluttershy commented, as Silver recalled Crobat. "Alright, Alakazam, get out here now!" Silver yelled, releasing a yellow, bipedal Pokemon with a long moustache. It also had two spoons in each of its hands. Fluttershy pointed her Pokedex at Alakazam. "Alakazam, the Psy Pokemon, and the evolved form of Kadabra. Alakazam has an I.Q. of 1500. Because of its massive brain, it has intelligence rivaling a supercomputer," the Pokedex said. "Aegislash, return!" Will said, recalling Aegislash. "Why recall Aegislash?" Shining Armor asked. "After launching Hyper Beam, a Pokemon can't move for a while," Nathan replied. "Alright, Chandelure, I need your assistance!" Will called, releasing a Pokemon that looked like a chandelier. Twilight pointed her Pokedex at Chandelure. "Chandelure, the Luring Pokemon, and the evolved form of Lampent. The spirits burned up in its ominous flames lose their way and wander this world forever," the Pokedex said. "Battle BEGIN!" Cindy declared. "Alakazam, use Safeguard!" Silver ordered. A green barrier appeared around Alakazam. "What's that?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Safeguard," Nathan replied, "Its a move that prevents status change. My guess is that Silver doesn't want Chandelure usin' any moves like Will-o-Wisp or Confuse Ray." "Chandelure, use Shadow Ball!" Will instructed. Chandelure fired a ball of darkness at Alakazam, who didn't dodge in time, and was hit with Shadow Ball, causing it to skid back, "Now use Dark Pulse!" Will instructed. Chandelure fired a blast of dark rings at Alakazam, who is still trying to shake off Shadow Ball, and is ultimately struck with Dark Pulse. Alakazam hit the ground hard, and had swirls in its eyes. Silver, and the ponies could hardly believe their eyes. "Alakazam is unable to battle, the winner is Chandelure!" Cindy declared. "That's three in a row that got wiped out without dealing any damage to Will's Pokemon," Timmy commented, as Silver recalled Alakazam. "Weavile, out here now!" Silver called, rereleasing Weavile. "Dark type Pokemon like Weavile have an advantage over Ghost Type Chandelure, but at the same time, Fire type Pokemon like Chandelure have an advantage over Ice type Pokemon like Weavile," Nathan commented. "Chandelure, return!" Will said, recalling Chandelure, "Now lets see, who should I send in now?" Will said to himself. He then pulled out a Pokeball, "Gardevoir, I need your assistance!" Will said, releasing a shiny Gardevoir. It twinkled when it appeared. "Why use Gardevoir?! Psychic Pokemon are a terrible choice against Dark Types!" Nathan exclaimed. "Well, according to this, Gardevoir is Psychic and Fairy Type Pokemon," Twilight said, looking at her Pokedex. "Wait, 'Fairy Type'?" Nathan asked. "Another new concept?" Cadence asked. "Well, there are Fairy Egg groups, but Ah've never heard of a Fairy Type Pokemon before," Nathan replied. "Maybe this Fairy Type attribute is an advantage over Dark Types?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Probably," Nathan replied. "Alright, battle, begin!" Cindy declared. "Weavile, Swords Dance!" Silver commanded. Weavile's claws glowed, and elongated and swung them around. "Gardevoir, Double Team," Will instructed. Multiple clones of Gardevoir appeared. Weavile became disoriented by this move. "Weavile, use Blizzard!" Silver commanded. Weavile summoned a blizzard that mowed down all of the copies, except for the real Gardevoir, who appeared right behind Weavile, "Behind you!" Silver called. "Gardevoir, Moon Blast," Will said. Gardevoir launched a pink ball of energy at Weavile, sending it rolling across the ground. "Snap out of it, and use Shadow Claw!" Silver ordered. Weavile's claws became cloaked in dark energy, as it charged at Gardevoir. Will nodded to Gardevoir, who appeared to teleport away from Weavile. "Keep using Shadow Claw until you hit it!" Silver ordered. Weavile stepped up its speed, as it tried to land a hit on Gardevoir. "Gardevoir, use Dazzling Gleam," Will whispered. Gardevoir then shone in a very bright light that seemed to have an effect on Weavile, as it hit the ground with swirls in its eyes. "Weavile is unable to battle, the winner is Gardevoir!" Cindy declared. Silver looked in disbelief at what had happened, as he recalled Weavile. "Excellent work Gardevoir, take a breather," Will said, recalling the Embrace Pokemon. He then pulled out another Pokeball, "Well Silver, its about time for our own Mega Pokemon Showdown, right?" Will asked. "Yes, and I won't lose!" Silver said, gripping another Pokeball, "Now, Gengar, out here now!" Silver said, releasing a black Pokemon with red eyes and a sinister smile. It also had a wristband with a Mega Stone. "Alright, Scizor, I need your assistance!" Will said, releasing a red mantis like Pokemon with claws that had eye patterns on it. On one of the pincers was, was a Mega Stone. "So Gengar n' Scizor can Mega Evolve too," Nathan commented. Twilight and Rarity pointed their Pokedex's at the two Pokemon. "Gengar, the Shadow Pokemon, and the evolved form of Haunter. It is said that whenever Gengar is nearby, its usually ten degrees colder," Twilight's Pokedex said. "Scizor, the Pincer Pokemon, and the evolved form of Scyther. Scizor uses the eye like patterns on its claws to intimidate its opponents," Rarity's Pokedex said. "So, which Pokemon has the advantage?" Toby asked Nathan. "Hard ta say. Bug Type moves ain't very effective on Ghost and Poison types like Gengar, but at the same time, Ghost type moves aren't very effective on a steel type like Scizor. On that note, Poison type moves won't do anything since Scizor is a steel type," Nathan explained. "Alright, battle begin!" Cindy declared. Silver touched the Key Stone on his wrist, which released energy that caused Gengar's Mega Stone to react, and give off similar energy. Gengar then become wrapped in Mega Evolution energy. Once the light died off, Gengar had changed. It no looked to have three legs, and was melding into the ground, and had a yellow ring between its eyes. "So that's Mega Gengar," Nathan commented. "Gengar, use Will-o-Wisp!" Silver ordered. Gengar then launched several balls of blue fire at Scizor. "Metal Claw on the ground!" Will instructed. Scizor's claw turned metallic, and slammed the ground, creating a wall of dust that blocked Will-o-Wisp, "Guess it's time for us to even the playing field," Will said, touching the Key Stone on his wrist, "Alright Scizor, Mega Evolve!" Will said, raising his Key Stone, which caused Scizor's mega stone to react. Being wrapped in the Mega Evolution energy, Scizor's pincers became longer, more jagged, and armor appeared all over it's exoskeleton. "Mega Scizor, looks like a good striker," Shining Armor commented. "Now, Scizor, use Flash Cannon!" Will instructed. Scizor then fired a volley of white energy at Gengar. "Dodge it!" Silver ordered. Gengar then sunk into the ground, just as the Flash Cannon hit where it was standing, "Now use Shadow Ball!" Gengar appeared behind Scizor, and fired Shadow Ball at it. "Double Team," Will instructed, and multiple copies of Scizor appeared, as the Shadow Ball phased through one of the copies. Gengar became disoriented, as it tried to keep up with the original, "Now, use Shadow Claw!" Will instructed. Scizor then appeared behind Gengar, and slashed it with its claw, shrouded in darkness. The result was an explosion that sent Gengar flying. When the smoke cleared, Gengar was on the ground, completely unconscious with swirls in its eyes. "Gengar is unable to battle, the winner is Scizor, so the victor is Will!" Cindy declared. "Scizor must've had high attack power even without Mega Evolution," Trinity commented. "Seeing as how it took Gengar out with one hit," Mike added, as Silver recalled Gengar. "Silver, your Pokémon are all well trained, but I would suggest treating them with more kindness," Will said. "Pfft, as if kindness can help Pokémon grow stronger. Power is everything in Pokémon," Silver said. "I disagree. Kindness can make any Pokémon stronger," Will said. Silver just shrugged it off, and went to sit at the bleachers, "Alright, Tripp, it's your turn. But first, I'll go get the next six Pokemon," Will said, looking at Tripp. "Understood," Tripp replied, as went over to his side of the battlefield. However, unbeknownst to our heroes, a hidden camera was watching them, "As you can see, the Ho-Oh trainer has taken up residence in this new world, as a means to avoid anymore battles," Cassidy said. "I still find it hard to believe there exists such a place, but thankfully, we can still track down the trainer thanks to the residual energy that we found where his ranch was at," a high pitched man said. "What are your orders, Professor Nanba?" Butch asked. "We go to this new world, and steal every one of his Pokémon that can Mega Evolve. That way, we can further my research on how to create artificial Mega Stones," Professor Nanba replied. "Speaking of which, sir, the artificial Key Stones you provided us, and the rest of Team Rocket are working like a charm. We can Mega Evolve all of our Pokémon," Butch said. "Of course they work! I made them myself!" Nanba replied, annoyed. > Chapter 17: Will & Tripps interrupted battle?! Defeat Mega Team Rocket! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Will, after getting another team of six Pokémon, returned to the battlefield, where Tripp was waiting, "Alright, same as the last two matches, it will be a full six on six battle between Will of Mahogany Town, and Tripp of Numeva Town. The battle will be over when all of either sides Pokémon is unable to continue. Pokémon substitutions are permitted all around, now trainers, begin!" Cindy called. "Conkeldurr, to the field!" Tripp said, releasing a large, muscle bound Pokémon, wielding two pillars of concrete. Rainbow Dash pointed her Pokedex at the Pokémon. "Conkeldurr, the Muscular Pokémon, and the evolved form of Gurdurr. It is thought that Conkeldurr taught humans how to make concrete more than 2,000 years ago," The Pokedex said. "In that case, I choose Malamar!" Will said, releasing a large, octopus like Pokémon. Twilight pointed her Pokedex at the octopus. "Malamar, the Overturning Pokémon, and the evolved form of Inkay. Malamar wields the most compelling hypnotic powers of any Pokémon, and it forces others to do whatever it wants," the Pokedex said. "Malamar vs Conkeldurr. Wonder who'll come out on top," Nathan commented. "Alright, battle begin!" Cindy declared. "Conkeldurr, use Bulk Up!" Tripp ordered. Conkeldurr then glowed red, as it looked to become stronger. "In that case, Malamar, use Calm Mind!" Will instructed. Malamar then glowed blue. "'Calm Mind'? What's that?" Conner asked. "It's a psychic type move that raises a Pokémon's Special attack and Special defense. Its good for Psychic type Pokémon that have higher Special Attack and Special Defense," Nathan replied. "Stone Edge!" Tripp instructed. Conkeldurr slammed the ground, sending glowing blue spikes of rocks towards Malamar. "Use Focus Blast," Will instructed. Malamar fired a ball of energy that effortlessly broke through the rock spikes, before hitting Conkeldurr, who stumbled from the blast. "Stay strong Conkeldurr, and use Brick Break!" Tripp instructed, as Conkeldurr used its pillars of concrete to attempt to strike Malamar. "Use Poison Jab!" Will instructed. Malamar's tentacle glowed purple before jabbing Conkeldurr in the gut. Sending flying. When the smoke clear, Conkeldurr was unconscious. "Conkeldurr is unable to battle, the winner is Malamar!" Cindy declared. "Conkeldurr didn't even get one hit in," one pony said. "All o' Will's Pokémon are well trained," Nathan commented. "Alright, Vanilluxe, to the field!" Tripp said, releasing what appeared to be a two headed ice cream cone Pokémon with a straw coming out of one side of its head. Fluttershy pointed her Pokedex at the ice cream Pokémon. "Vanilluxe, the Snowstorm Pokémon. When angered, this Pokémon can create severe blizzards created from moisture it swallowed," the Pokedex said. "Alright, Malamar, take a rest," Will said, recalling Malamar, then pulling out a Repeat Ball, "Bisharp, I need your assistance!" Will called, releasing a humanoid Pokémon the was covered in blades, and had a shogun style helmet, with a large blade growing from the middle of its head. Rarity pointed her Pokedex at the Pokémon. "Bisharp, the Blade Pokémon, and the evolved form of Pawniard. It leads a group Pawniard when hunting down prey. It then finishes off said prey," the Pokedex said. "Alright, battle---," Cindy was interrupted by a sudden rumbling. "What's going on?!" Will demanded. His question was soon answered, as large vehicles broke through the trees. The vehicles opened up and tons of Team Rocket grunts quickly departed, and surrounded the battlefield, "Team Rocket?! How did you even get here?!" Will demanded. "That's for us to know, and for you to figure out," Will turned to see Butch and Cassidy, looking rather smug. "Capture all the Pokémon!" Cassidy ordered. The grunts then proceeded to steal all of the children's new Pokémon. Toby's Fenniken wasn't going to have any of it, and used Ember on the grunts. "Fenniken, what are you doing?" Toby asked. "I'm not about to let a bunch of bullies take us away from our home," Fenniken replied, standing valiantly against Team Rocket. "She's right, we need to take a stand!" Josh's Froakie said. "Alright brats, if that's the way you want to play, CALL OUT YOUR POKEMON, GRUNTS"! Butch ordered, as he and Cassidy released their own Pokémon, a Houndoom and Pinsir, "Now then, Mega Wave," Butch said, as he and Cassidy waved their hands over two identical bracelets with a purple stone embedded in them. The bracelets released a dark energy, which seemed to make Houndoom and Pinsir suffer, as depicted by the pained expressions on their faces. The two were enveloped in dark energy, and as the energy dissipated, Houndoom stood with longer, more intimidating horns, and Pinsir looked to have gained wings. "Mega Evolution?! How did Team Rocket gain such a power?" Nathan wondered. "Some wannabe operatives in the Kalos region discovered a way of being able to Mega Evolve Pokémon without the need for bonds. I think it was called 'Neo Arcane Science,' or something like that," Cassidy explained. "But that devalues the purpose of Mega Evolution, not to mention the Pokémon suffer because of it!" Will argued. "As long as we get what we want, who cares about the Pokémon?" Butch countered, as the other grunts used the same, synthetic Mega evolution to change their Pokémon against their will. Now, several Mega Steelix, Mega Charizard, Mega Aggron, Mega Beedrill, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Scizor snatched up the baby Pokémon from the elementary students, "Now get to capturing the rest of the Pokémon here!" Butch ordered the Mega Pokémon. But before they could begin, they were attacked by Paul and Silver's team. "Team Rocket's nothing but a bunch of pathetic losers," Silver seethed. "Will, we'll keep the kids safe, you find a way to stop Team Rocket!" Trip said, as he released the rest of his Pokémon to aid in the battle. Will was reluctant to leave is new friends behind, but understood Team Rocket needed to be stopped, and quickly ran off to gather his own Mega Pokémon squad. "Cindy, stay with the group!" Will called back to his sister, who nodded in response. He didn't get very far as a Flamethrower stopped him in his tracks. "Where do you think you're going?" Cassidy asked, as Houndoom charged up another Flamethrower, only to be stopped by Bisharp's Brick Break. "Will, go and get the others, I'll hold them off," Bisharp said. "Alright, be careful Bisharp!" Will said, as went to gather his Pokémon. He didn't go very far, as the Pokémon in question had come to aid their trainer. "Hey guys, you're timing could not have been any better! We need to stop Team Rocket before they make off with any Pokémon!" Will said. "Already two steps ahead of you," Mewtwo said. Just then, Will's Gengar appeared. "It looks like the power source for those fake Key Stones are in that vehicle," Gengar said, pointing to a very large mobile base. "Great scouting Gengar, now lets get in there," Will said, as he and his Mega Evolution squad entered the base. 15 minutes later, "This way," Gengar said, leading the group down a corridor, which lead to a very important looking laboratory, "There, if we destroy that machine, we'll be able to put an end to Team Rocket's scheme!" Gengar said. "I think not!" the group was stopped by Professor Nanba. "Out of the way old man," Tyranitar demanded. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Team Rocket depends on this machine," Nanba replied, releasing Electivire, Magmortar, and Rhyperior, "And thanks to my research on Neo Arcane Science, I was able to perfect artificial Mega stones just for the three Pokémon before you," Nanba said. "'Artifical Mega Stones'?! But those were outlawed ages ago!" Will said. The reason behind this is because research on Artificial Mega Stones led to the discovery that it puts an immense strain, both mentally and physically on the Pokémon. "Ask me if I care," Nanba said, using his fake Key Stone. Electivire, Magmortar, and Rhyperior were suffering as they began to Mega Evolve. Electivire now had several wire like tails, and the power coils on its head became a single power node. Magmortar now had volcano like arms, and rock like armor. Rhyperior's armor had become more bulkier, and it's arms more like cannons, and its tail was now spikey. "That fiend, he actually did it," Gardevoir said. "Take it easy Gardevoir. Those aren't even real Mega Pokémon. Which means we can't possibly loose to them," Will said, looking at his Mega Ring. He then touched the key stone, which reacted with the Mega Stones of all the Pokémon that were with Will. They all became enveloped in the Mega Evolution energy, "Lets go, UNITY MEGA EVOLUTION!" Will yelled. "Mega Venusaur!" Venusaur said. The flower on its back become fully bloomed, giving it a more tropical appearance. "Mega Blastoise!" Blastoise said. It grew cannons on its arms, and the two cannons on its back became one huge one. "MEGA CHARIZARD X/Y!" the two Charizard said. One now had black skin and blue fire coming out of its mouth, while the other had larger, more ragged looking wings, and a third horn coming out of its head. "Mega Beedrill," Beedrill said. It now looked to be carrying a large missile like stinger. "Mega Pigeot!" Pigeot said. The only change to Pigeot was that it now had a longer plume. "Mega Alakazam!" Alakazam said. It now had a much longer beard, giving the appearance of a shaman, and multiple spoons, suspended by psychic energy floated around it. "Mega Gengar!" Gengar said. "Mega Kangaskhan!" Kangaskhan said. The only change was that the baby Kangaskhan looked more older, and able to hold its own in a fight. "Mega Pinsir!" Pinsir said. "Mega Gyarados!" the shiny Gyarados said. It now had a more larva appearance, and its whiskers were much longer. "Mega Aerodactyl!" Aerodactyl said. It now had stones coming out of its face and wings. "Mega Mewtwo X!" Mewtwo said. It now looked like a martial artist. "Mega Ampharos!" Ampharos said. It had luxurious, whit hair with red jewels embedded into it growing from its back, and its horns looked to be actual power towers. "Mega Heracross!" Heracross said. It now had a bulkier physique, and its horn grew from the back of its head instead of the front. "Mega Houndoom!" Houndoom said. "Mega Scizor!" Scizor said. "Mega Tyranitar!" Tyranitar said. Its armor grew out more and more to the point it looked to have a scary face on its torso. "Mega Sceptile!" Sceptile said. It now had red highlights, and a larger tree for a tail. "Mega Blaziken!" Blaziken said. "Mega Swampert!" Swampert said. It now looked to be extremely muscular, and the fins on its cheeks grew out. "Mega Gardevoir!" the shiny Gardevoir said. Her dress expanded, and became black, as the horn on her chest split in two. "Mega Aggron!" Aggron said. "Mega Mawile!" Mawile said. It now had two large, mouth like horns growing out of its head. "Mega Manectric!" Manectric said. Its yellow fur had become much larger, giving it a more intimidating appearance. "MEGA LATIAS/LATIOS!" Latias and Latios said. They both were near identical, now looking like purple jets, but with different colored eyes. "Mega Metagross!" Metagross said. It now had an appearance closely similar to a satellite. "Mega Salamence!" Salamence said. Its two separate wings now became like a crescent moon shape, sort of like a blade. "Mega Lopunny!" the shiny Lopunny said. Her normally fluffy ears were now shaved down, only rings of the fluff remained. She also had black patterned fur, closely resembling ripped pantyhose. "Mega Garchomp!" Garchomp said. "Mega Lucario!" Lucario said. It's aura feelers were longer, and its yellow fur was longer, and fluffier. "Mega Gallade!" Gallade said. It now had a cape like growth, and its sword like arms had a red growth, giving it the resemblance of a valiant knight. "Mega Diancie!" Diancie said. It now looked like a princess, wearing a dress made of brilliant jewels. "So, the rumors are true, you can use unity Mega Evolution. It makes no difference, not after I equip my three heavy hitters with these," Nanba said, applying a strange device to the heads of each of his Pokémon. "What are those?" Will asked. "If you must know, there a perfected version of an invention of mine I made some time ago. I call them my "Rage Inducing Pokémon Provoker", model 2.0," Nanba replied. "A devise to provoke rage? Can you guys be anymore desperate?" Will taunted. "Say what you will, but it won't stop the progress of science!" Nanba said, activating the provoking devices. The three Pokémon roared in rage, "Now, Electivire, use Thunder, Magmortar, use Lava Plume, Rhyperior, use Rock Wrecker!" Nanba ordered. Electivire let loose a bolt of lightning, Magmortar fired superheated smoke, and Rhyperior launched a giant rock. "Sceptile, deal with that Thunder!" Will instructed to Sceptile, who raised its tail, which diverted the Thunder directly to it, "Blastoise, use Hydro Cannon," Will instructed to Blastoise, who fired large balls of water at the Lava Plume, "Lopunny, High Jump Kick!" Will instructed to Lopunny, who leapt up, and the kicked the rock out of the way, "Now, its our turn, "Garchomp, use Dragon Claw on Electivire, Gallade, use Psycho Cut on Magmortar, and Swampert, use Brick Break on Rhyperior!" Will instructed. Garchomp raked Electivire with its large axe like claws, Gallade fired slashes of psychic energy at Magmortar, and Swampert used a karate chop against Rhyperior, but none of the attacks seemed to have any effect whatsoever, "Why didn't it work?!" Will wondered. "My Rage Inducing Pokémon Provoker model 2.0 doesn't just raise my Pokémon's attack power, it also boosts their defensive power, making them practically invincible!" Nanba said. "Provoking a Pokémon is the one thing a trainer should never do! A Pokémon's true strength comes from trust and friendship, y'know, meaningful means," Will argued. "That's a load of hooey! The only way to bring out a Pokémon's true power is through rage! A couple of dumb kids said the same thing you did a while back," Nanba said. "Well, maybe bonds are something that can't be explained through science! Lots of things can't be explained through science!" Will said. "That's even more hooey! Science can explain everything through logic! But our battle will show us whose philosophy is true!" Nanba argued. "No matter what the outcome, friendship and trust will overcome rage any day!" Will said, "Now, Tyranitar, use Rock Slide!" Will instructed. Tyranitar complied, by summoning large rocks over Nanba's three Pokémon. "Magmortar, Enraged Flamethrower!" Nanba ordered, increasing the rage of his three Pokémon even further. Magmortar then fire a volley of fire at the rocks, completely obliterating them with ease, "Electivire, Enraged Thunderbolt, Rhyperior, Enraged Stone Edge!" Electivire blasted a large bolt of lightning at Will's Pokémon, while Rhyperior summoned equally large glowing blue rocks from the ground. "Latias, use Mist Ball, Latios, use Luster Purge, Gardevoir, use Moonblast, Lucario, use Aura Sphere, Ampharos and Salamence, use Dragon Pulse, and Diancie, use Diamond Storm!" Will instructed. Latias fired a ball of mist, Latios fired a beam of light, Gardevoir fired balls of lunar energy, Lucario fired a ball of aura, Ampharos and Salamence fire a beam of draconic energy, and Diancie fired a flurry of diamonds at Nanba's Mega Pokémon, "Gengar, see if you can't get that control panel Nanba's holding away from him," Will whispered to Gengar, who promptly vanished. Meanwhile, the onslaught of attacks seemed to be doing something to Nanba's Pokémon. "More rage! Don't stop until they're all completely destroyed!" Nanba ordered, increasing the rage of his Pokémon even further, only for the control panel he was holding to be destroyed by a Shadow Ball, "Why you...." Nanba said angrily, looking at the Mega Gengar that fired the Shadow Ball in question. The devises on Electivire, Magmortar, and Rhyperior's heads all broke. The three of them collapsed from exhaustion, reverting back to their original forms, "Get up! We're not done yet!" Nanba said. "Oh, I'd say we are. Now, everyone, use your best attack on that machine!" Will instructed. Several blasts to the machine caused it to explode. Nanba's artificial Key Stone broke afterwards, as did the artificial Mega Stones on his Pokémon. "NOOOOOOOOOOO! My research! My Key Stone! My Pokémon Provoker!" Nanba was dismayed to say the least. "What about your Pokémon? Don't you even care about them?" Will asked. "Pokémon are nothing but tools of war for Team Rocket," Nanba seethed. "Pity you think so low of your Pokémon," Will said, as he and his Pokémon left. Back outside "There's no end to them," Rainbow Dash complained, as Team Rocket kept using their Mega Pokémon to battle the ponies and humans. "We need to keep up the defenses! Will should be done by now!" Cindy said. Just then, all the Mega Pokémon abruptly returned to their original forms. "That's not good," a grunt said. "Everyone! Team Rocket's a sitting Ducklett! They can't use Mega Evolution anymore!" they all looked to see Will coming towards them. "Why you..." Cassidy seethed. "We can still win!" Butch said. "I don't think so, Charizards, both of you use Flamethrower on Team Rocket's Pokémon!" Will instructed. "Try to get them through here!" Discord said, opening a portal back to the Pokémon World. Both Charizards fired volley's of fire at the Pokémon and the grunts sending them back to Johto. "Mewtwo, can you do something about that ugly base?" Will asked Mewtwo. "With pleasure," Mewtwo said, using its psychic powers to lift the base, and through it back through the portal. Discord then closed the portal. "Is everyone here and accounted for?" Cheerilee asked. A round of nods answered her question. "And it looks like you kids still have your own partner Pokémon," Will said to the students who chose to take a Pokémon for their partner. e then turned to Trip, "Now then, Trip, shall we continue our battle?" Will asked. "I don't think so. After seeing your Pokémon in action, it's clear that I'm no match for you. I'm going to continue my journey to become stronger, and then, I'll try to defeat Alder," Trip said. "Suit yourself," Will said, as Discord took the three trainers back to Mahogany Town, "But what I can't figure out, is how Team Rocket got here in the first place?" Will wondered. "Probably due to residual energy from where your ranch was at," Eris suggested, "Its possible they increased the energy of the portal we used to get your ranch here to get here themselves," she explained. "Well, we don't have to worry about that, ever again," Discord said, appearing out of thin air, "I went ahead and cleaned up the energy that was left over. They'll never find you again," Discord said. "Thanks Discord," Will said, before turning to the children, "Now then, before we get you kids your Pokémon eggs, why not catch the Pokémon you chose?" Will suggested. "What do you mean?" Toby asked. "Well, if you have Pokémon, you could try to become Pokémon Trainers yourselves," Will explained, laying out each type Pokeball, "You can choose what Pokeball you want to catch your Pokémon with," Will said. Toby went first, picking out a Luxury Ball and a Fast Ball. "Do the two of you want to be my Pokémon?" Toby asked Vulpix and Fenniken. "Of course!" Fenniken replied. "You'd make a great trainer, Toby!" Vulpix said. "Alright then," Toby said, opening the two Pokeballs. Fenniken went into the Fast Ball, and Vulpix went into the Luxury Ball. The two rolls three times, before clicking. The others grabbed a Pokeball themselves, and caught their new Pokémon, "Ok, so I've got Vulpix and Fenniken as my Pokémon, now what do I do?" Toby asked. "First, I'll give each of you the respective eggs for your Pokémon," Will said, giving them each an incubator, housing a Pokémon Egg, "As for what happens next, usually, a rookie trainer can go on a journey through one of the six regions," Will replied. "Seven," Will turned towards Eris, "I looked it up, there are seven regions, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and on top of that, the Alola Regions," Eris explained. "I've never even heard of 'Alola' before," Will commented. "It's made up of four islands, and each island has Pokémon I don't think you've ever seen before," Eris explained. "That does sound interesting, and battling Paul, Silver, and Trip did help me find my motivation for an adventure," Will said. "Does that mean?" Cindy asked. "I would love to go to the Alola Region, but there's no way to get there from Equestria," Will said. "Au contraire. Just give me some time, and I'll have something for you that'll let you hop between Equestria and Alola with ease," Discord said. "Uh, Will, if its not too much trouble, if you don't mind, could I maybe come with you to Alola? I'd like to learn more about Pokémon myself," Fluttershy asked. "I wouldn't mind seeing new Pokémon either," Toby said. "I'd like to go too," Silver Spoon said. "What about you Serenity?" Toby asked his little sister. "I-I don't think I'd like to go on an adventure, especially somewhere unknown," the green filly replied. "Well, that's a shame. It would've been an opportunity to go somewhere with exotic creatures," Toby said. "Toby's right, you may even find you like the Alola region," Fluttershy said. "W-well, I guess I could see if it's something I would like to do," Serenity said. "What about the rest of you?" Will asked. "I think I'd take a journey through Johto. Cindy told me that one of the cities there is chockfull of history," Twilight said. "It would be a nice change of pace," Josh said. "I may go through the Kalos region, myself," Rarity commented. "Same here," Cadence added. "Well, if everyone will give it some thought, I'll have something for all of you to use to get to your respective, desired regions," Discord said. "Well, with distractions and all, that completes the tour of my ranch. Hope you kids all had a fun time," Will said to the class as they left. "I'll be back later Will!" Cindy called back to her brother. With that, Will went on to prepare for his journey for Alola.
