> Doctor Whooves: When Universes Collide > by Draconaquest > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chaos Rains Supreme > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ponyville was in turmoil. The sky has turned a deep purple, almost black, with bright lavender lightning crackling around the land. Everypony was running for their lives, even though it was no use. Buildings were ablaze, revealing a bright orange light zooming around the town. And Princess Twilight Sparkle was right in the middle of the panic, along with her six friends, trying to tell everypony to calm down. "You must calm down, everypony, please..." Twilight was hit in the side by a running stallion causing her to fall. "What in tarnation is even going on?!" Applejack shouted, over the noise, helping Twilight up. "I don't know, but I'm willing to bet it has something to do with the Doctor." Twilight replied, also shouting. "Well, what do we do?!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Evacuate the town!" Twilight decided. "Rainbow Dash, get your flyers together, and get ponies out of town. Applejack, go home and get your family together, and if possible, use your herding abilities to get some of the crowd out of Ponyville. Fluttershy, find your critters and get them out of here. Rarity, get Sweetie Belle and help out families. Pinkie Pie, just, do something to help out ponies!" Each of the ponies ran of to their designated position, as another pony trampled Twilight down to the ground. She felt a hoof on her shoulder. She looked up and saw a pony with a brown coat, and darker brown mane. He wore a brown pinstripe suit, with a white shirt, and green tie. "Your Majesty," he said, "you might want to come with me." He pulled her up, and ran off. Twilight flew up, and flew toward the Doctor, in saw the TARDIS a few meter away. She saw the Doctor insert the key, and open the door, and Twilight quickly flew in, and was suddenly surprised. She already knew the TARDIS was bigger on the inside, but, the color seemed wrong. The walls were a dark bronze, and the floor was a deep greyish blue. The console was grey, and the light from it shone a light blue, rather then the teal Twilight had seen earlier. "The interior..." Twilight said. "Yes, bigger on the inside, I know." The Doctor said. "The color's wrong." "What are you talking about?" The Doctor asked, who was busy looking at the monitor on the opposite side of the console. "You changed the color. It used to be a yellowish brown, and the light from the console was teal, not blue." "What?" The Doctor asked, clearly confused. "It never looked like that before, and even if it did, how would you know? I've never shown you this before." "Huh?" "TARDIS SIGNAL DETECTED!" A Dalek said, on the console room on Omega's TARDIS. "What?" Omega asked. "Is it the Doctor's TARDIS?" He looked over to the Doctor, who was lying on the floor trapped inside a force field. "UNABLE TO VERIFY!" The Dalek replied. "THE DOCTOR'S TARDIS IS IN STORAGE COMPARTMENT TWO ZERO SIX!" "How is that unable to verify?" Omega asked. "TARDIS EXTERIOR CONTAINS MARKINGS OF THE DOCTOR'S TARDIS!" The Dalek said. "Show me." Omega said, looking up at the large display monitor. An image of the Doctor's TARDIS in Ponyville appeared. "Now show me the TARDIS in storage compartment two zero six, but, keep the current image up as well. Another image appeared on the monitor, along with the corresponding image. "So, there's two of them..." Omega mumbled. He turned to the Doctor, and kneeled down to face him. "Which TARDIS is yours?" "The one on the ship." The Doctor replied, not moving. "Then, what is that?" Omega asked, pointing toward the display monitor. The Doctor shifted, looking at the monitor, and was surprised by the other TARDIS in the same shape as the his own. "I don't know." "ARGH!!!" Omega growled. "Teleport him to the brig!" A teleport field enveloped the Doctor, and he disappeared within it. "What is that?" Omega asked himself. "How do you know about me?" The Doctor asked. "I traveled with you, remember?" Twilight said. "I'm sorry, the only pony I've traveled with was Ditzy, and she left me to take care of her sister, so..." "You don't remember me? Or Sunset?" Twilight asked. "Well, I know who you are," the Doctor said, "mainly due to the fact that you're the princess of friendship, but, I don't know anyone named Sunset. I'm sorry, but I don't know you." Twilight leaned on one on the rails. "Well, um...do you at least know what's going on?" "You wouldn't understand." The Doctor said. "Yes, I would." "This world has been fused with another." The Doctor explained. "Gaea has been pressed against another planet, causing mass chaos. There's two planets combined." There was a flash of light, and then Twilight looked down, and saw hands and feet rather than hooves. "What the...?" "There's something special about these two planets," The Doctor said, leaning over the console, now in human form. "But, I haven't studied both. I don't know what to do." "But, you always do." Twilight pleaded. "Maybe, the man you're talking about is a different version, but, not me." The Doctor said, and looked over. "But, I will help you in anyway I can." "Where do we start?" Twilight asked. "We need to figure out what's happening." > Cross Dimensional > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Ha!" The Doctor shouted. "Oh, Omega, you're clever, but you're still bone dead stupid." He reached into his pocket, and pulled out his TARDIS key, along with his sonic screwdriver. "Let's see," he said, activating the screwdriver. "Cross dimensional pattern, taken to wireless signal, and BAM!!!" The Doctor's TARDIS began to materialize around him, and he smiled, "Ah, Omega, always search a prisoner before you send him to prison." He pulled several switches on the console, and the TARDIS dematerialized, and rematerialized in the courtyard of Canterlot High. The Doctor walked to the entrance, and reached to grab his trench coat... Only to realize that he'd left it in Omega's TARDIS. The Doctor cursed under his breath, and ran outside. Canterlot High was there, but, it seemed wrong. Vacant. He looked up, and saw the sky. It was a dark purple, like an approaching storm. Except there wasn't a cloud in the sky. "Doctor!" The Doctor looked to his right, to see Sunset Shimmer running toward him. "Are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine." The Doctor replied. "What's happening?" "I thought you would know." Sunset said. "But, something is definitely wrong." "How can you tell?" Sunset face turned to a look of shock, and then she pointed behind the TARDIS. The Doctor followed her finger, and saw Canterlot Castle towering over the school. "What?" He mumbled to himself. "But, that should be in Equestria..." "Yes, it should. So, why's it here?" Sunset asked. The Doctor's face turned from confusion to fear. "No." "What is it?" The Doctor whipped around to face Sunset. "Sunset, where are your friends?" "They're at home." Sunset replied. "Call them, text them, just tell them to get here, now." The Doctor ordered. "Why?" "Because, this may be the safest place in the entire world." As a scientist, Twilight had seen her fair share of strange things. But, this was the strangest. Turing into a horse for a few minutes was odd enough, but, it seemed like her world has crossed with another. She sat at her computer, her dog Spike sleeping soundly on her lap, checking news feeds. Unfortunately, everything was down. There was no news feeds, or blogs up to date. Everyone seemed to be going nuts. Twilight might have been the only person who was smart enough to actually try and figure out what was going on. She rubbed her chin. "I wonder..." she hacked into Canterlot High's security grid. The TARDIS dematerialized a short distance from the Castle of the Two Sisters, still slightly in ruins. Ever since Twilight had gotten her own castle, she hadn't taken the time to visit the castle anymore. The Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS, Twilight right behind him. "Why are we here?" She asked, closing the door behind her. "I need to check the Tree of Harmony." He replied, "If I'm right, it'll be damaged." He turned to the steps, placing his hands in his pockets, walking slowly down them. "It draws it's energy from the Elements of Harmony, which draw their energy from their users. With no users, it then draws magic from the world around them. With the way the world is, there might be no magic for the Elements to obtain." They reached the end of the stairs, and then were utterly shocked by the sight in front of them. The Tree of Harmony was rotting. It's trunk, and branches had turned black, and the ground around it had began to grow fungus. Even the Elements' color was fading. "What happened?" Twilight asked. "Exactly what I said could happen." The Doctor said, walking toward the Tree. "This is bad. This is very bad." "But what happened?" Twilight asked. "To the world, I mean." "I don't know." The Doctor admitted. "I don't have enough information yet." "Then what do we do?" Twilight asked. "Find more information, and hope we're not to late." "Why did you call us here?" Rainbow Dash asked, storming into the classroom where the Doctor had set up a temporary base. She was accompanied by Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, and Sunset Shimmer bringing up the rear. Why does Sunset trust you so much?" "This is the safest place for you." The Doctor said, standing up. "For all of you." "Doctor," Sunset said, maneuvering her way though her friends, "what's going on?" "Well..." the Doctor scratched the back of his head. "Hang on," he skipped to the chalkboard, put on his glasses, and picked up a stick of chalk. "All right, take a seat, class has started." The six girls reluctantly sat down, as the Doctor began to explain the situation. He drew two circles, about a foot apart from each other. "Um...Sunset, what us the name of the planet Equestria is on?" "Gaea." Sunset said. "Thank you." The Doctor wrote a G on the circle to the left, and an E in the circle on the right. "Okay, Earth and Gaea are connected. They have been for a long time. There's a type of cord connecting them." He drew a line between the planets. "Each time someone travels between these two worlds, the cord fluctuates, like a bungee cord. What has happened, is the cord was stretched really far, and then slammed backwards, combining the two planets." The Doctor drew one circle, with a capital G and E. "Both planets combined, to create a single planet. Here's the problem: This world is in a constant state of flux. That's why you keep switching between your pony version, and your human. And soon, this world will become overloaded with this stage. And when it does..." The Doctor scribbled out the single planet. "Both planets will cease to exist. They will implode on themselves." "So, what do we do?" Sunset asked. "We figure out how to stop it." The Doctor dropped the piece of chalk. "All of you, follow me!" He walked towards the door. "Hang on!" Rainbow shouted, getting up from her chair. "Who put you in charge? And who are you, anyway?!" The Doctor stopped in his tracks, and turned around to face Rainbow Dash with a serious look on his face. "I'm the Doctor. I'm a Time Lord. I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. I am nine hundred and five years old and I'm the man who's gonna save your lives, and all ten billion people on both these planets." The six girls stood there in awe. "You got a problem with that?" "No." Rainbow Dash said. "In that case," The Doctor turned around and walked out the door, "Allons-y!" > Duplication Collaboration > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight quickly buttoned-up her lab coat, stuffing her pockets full of several odds, and ends. She shoved her laptop into her backpack, hauling it over her shoulder. She quickly grabbed Spike, and shoved him into his kennel, locking the door. "Don't worry Spike, I'll be back soon." Spike whimpered a little bit, but Twilight ignored him, and ran toward the door. As an after thought, she put a few milk bones into Spike's kennel. Twilight stormed out of her apartment, locking the door behind her, and run down the flights of stairs. She shoved the building doors open, and pulled out her cell phone. "Cloudchaser! I need a plane!" Cloudchaser, who was sitting at home, said, "What kind?" "Something quick!" Twilight replied, "I need to get to Canterlot!" "Where should I meet you?" "The mall parking lot!" Twilight said, and jogged toward the mall. "Cadance!" Twilight shouted, going to hug her sister in-law, "Sunshine, Sunshine, ladybugs awake, clap your-" "Did you say clap, or clop?" The Doctor asked, who was behind Twilight. "Doesn't matter." Cadance said. "Doctor, good to see you again." The Doctor rolled his eyes. "I'm not him. I'm a different him. It's...uh...it's complicated." "How'd you know it was him?" Twilight asked. "The blue box." Cadance replied. Once again, the polarity had shifted, and they were ponies again. "Okay, Doctor," Twilight began, "why did we come to the Crystal Empire?" "The Crystal Heart," the Doctor said, "I need to see it." Cadance led the Doctor, and Twilight to the Crystal Heart, which Shining Armor was guarding. "Oh no..." the Doctor said, upon gazing at the Heart. "Who are you?" Shining Armor asked, pushing the Doctor away, "Name, rank, and intent." "The Doctor, doctor, saving the world, now if you don't mind, I need to get a look at that." He pushed Shining Armor out of the way, and scanned the Heart with his screwdriver. "I thought he looked different..." Shining Armor said, now standing next to Twilight. "It's a different version." Cadance said. "Huh?" "It's a uh..." Cadance stuttered. "Wibbly wobbly timey wimey." Twilight interrupted. "We have a problem," the Doctor said, walking toward the royal family, "Something is draining all the magic from the Crystal Heart." "Just like the Elements of Harmony." Twilight said. "Exactly," the Doctor confirmed, "someone, or something, is draining all magic from magical artifacts, such as the Elements, and the Heart." "But, why?" Cadance asked. "Think about it," the Doctor said, "these are the most powerful magical objects in Equestria, perhaps on Gaea, and, without them, we're virtually powerless. I wonder..." "Wonder what?" Shining Armor asked. "Are some of the lesser known magical items were affected..." the Doctor asked. "Lesser known?" Cadance asked. "Like the Alicorn Amulet, Meadowbrook's eight enchanted items, were they affected too?" "There's only one way to find out." Twilight said. "Yep." The Doctor confirmed. "We need to break into a museum." "MAGICAL DRAINING 73 PERCENT COMPLETE!" The System Dalek said. "Let's see..." Omega said, "shall we move on to phase two?" No Dalek spoke. "I want your opinion." "DALEKS DO NOT HAVE OPINIONS!" A Dalek replied. "Remind me to alter your programing." Omega said. "ALERT!" A Dalek said. "What is it?" Omega asked, skipping toward the Dalek that spoke. "REMINDER: ALTER DALEK PROGRAMMING!" The Dalek said. "No, no, no, tell me later." Omega said, walking off. "WHEN?!" "When this whole ordeal is over." Omega said. "UNDERSTOOD!" The Dalek said. "Alright then," Omega began, "let's move on to phase two, shall we? Release the Dalek Battle Fleet, wave one!" Twilight hated flying. She avoided planes at all costs, except when she had to do use one. Odd, considering she had a flying license. Could it be worse? Yes. In fact, it was. She was having to fly through a storm. And, for a while, she was a pony, fortunately, she was a human now. Her GPS said she was a few miles away from Canterlot, and considering she was using a prop, she was going to have a interesting time landing. Suddenly, the plane shook violently. "What?" Twilight mumbled to herself. She couldn't tell what caused the plane to shake, and it was more violent than any turbulence she has heard of. Then, she saw a blue light, very faint, along with a pair of flashing lights, a little bit higher than the blue light. They light appeared to be getting closer, slightly shrouded by the clouds, and the top lights were flashing in a pattern. She couldn't make it out. Twilight squinted to make them out, when they became apart of what appeared to be a large tin can, shaped to be like a special casing. She thought she heard a voice coming from it. She listened carefully. "EXTERMINATE!" The voice got louder. "EXTERMINATE!" Then it got very loud "EXTERMINATE!" Twilight saw the machine heading toward her, and then she saw a bright blue laser being shot at her plane, and, then, she swerved to the left, causing the laser to hit her right wing. "ARGH!" Twilight shouted, as her plane began to dive bomb. Her wright wing was on fire, leaving a smoke trail behind her, which blended into the clouds. She opened a communication channel. "Mayday, mayday, this is India Delta Alpha Charlie, I am crashing, requesting assistance, over!" "It's bigger on the inside." Rarity exclaimed, stepping into the TARDIS. "Is it?" the Doctor said, "I hadn't noticed." He began pressing several buttons and switches on the console. A storm front had moved into Canterlot, raging all around. "Come on in, make yourselves at home." Only Sunset wasn't awestruck, partly due to the fact she had been in the TARDIS before, whilst the other five were trying to figure out how it was bigger on the inside. Suddenly, there was a loud squealing noise, causing almost everyone to cover their ears. "Whoa!" The Doctor said, waltzing over to the monitor. "What is it?" Sunset asked, stepping toward the Doctor. "We're receiving an urgent communication signal." The Doctor pressed a couple buttons, and the message played. "Mayday, mayday, this is India Delta Alpha Charlie, I am crashing, requesting assistance, over!" "That sounds like Twilight!" Sunset exclaimed. "She must be in a plane!" The Doctor said, pressing a few buttons, "she's a few miles away from here!" He reached over, and pulled a large lever. The TARDIS began to shake and rattle, as it dematerialized, and fell into the time vortex. "I assume we're saving her?!" Sunset shouted over the TARDIS noise. "Oh yes!" The Doctor shouted back. Twilight continued to repeat her message, praying for a miracle. Then, she heard a sound. It was like a groaning, wheezing sound, and, it was getting louder, as she began to see walls materialize around her, and the plane. "TARDIS dematerializing!" the Doctor shouted, pulling levers, and pressing buttons on the console, "Sending the plane into the swimming pool, creating a pudding like field to soften the crash, and done!" The Doctor grinned, and turned to Sunset, and said, "Now then, back to Canterlot." The Doctor pulled a lever, and the TARDIS began to shake and rattle, as it returned to the city. Once the time machine had landed, the Doctor said, "Now then, let's see if she's okay." He signaled Sunset to follow him, and then walked toward the hallway. Twilight surfaced from the water, coughing and hacking, and swam to the side of the pool, making sure she had her backpack, so she had her computer, which likely wouldn't work. She couldn't figure out how she had gotten into the pool, let alone, where it was. It was clear she was inside a building, as the walls had a rather...unique design. She tossed her backpack over the side, onto the grated floor, and then pulled herself out of the pool, sitting on the edge, pulling all her devices out of her lab coat. Most of them were electronics, now soaked, rendering them useless. She tossed them into the water, as she had no further use of them. Twilight looked at the total biplane. "I'm gonna owe Cloudchaser a large amount of money to pay for this..." she said, worryingly. "Twilight!" A voice behind her said, "Are you okay?" Twilight turned around, and saw two people walking toward him, one a tall man, wearing a brown pinstripe suit, the other, Twilight recognized. "Sunset Shimmer?" Twilight asked, fixing her glasses, "What are you doing here?" "Twilight?" Sunset said, a bit weary, "You look...different." Twilight looked down at her clothes, "I look normal. It's you who looks different." "What do you mean?" Sunset asked. "What are you doing here?" Twilight asked, "And, who's he?" Sunset glanced at the Doctor, then back at Twilight. "Twilight, is something wrong?" "Wrong with me? What's wrong with you?" The Doctor studied Twilight. Her attire, her attitude, let alone the fact she was flying a plane. "Oh, of course!" The Doctor exclaimed, "Thick, I am thick!" "What is it, Doctor?" Sunset asked. "This isn't Twilight," the Doctor began, "well, it is, just not the one we know." "What do you mean?" Sunset asked. "Think about it. There's a copy your friends in Equestria, yes?" "Yeah." Sunset confirmed. "So, by rights, there's a copy of Twilight in your world." The Doctor explained. "So, does that mean there's a copy of me in my universe?" Sunset asked. "Presumably, which is why she thinks she knows you." The Doctor said. "Would somebody please tell me what the hell is going on?!" Twilight shouted. Sunset and the Doctor quickly turned to face Twilight, who had a look of both anger and confusion. "Right," the Doctor began, "well then, I think we have a long discussion in front of us." > Getting Worse, and Worse > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You know, you'd think two princesses, the captain of the royal guard, who's also a prince, and a Time-Lord wouldn't have to get break into a museum." Twilight said, who was with Cadance, Shining Armor, and the Doctor, who were all standing in the cold rain, in front of the Fillydelphia Museum, with the Doctor unlocking a window with his screwdriver. "When the museum's locked, and the staff has run home, you kinda have to break in, and, you consider, you help rule the land, so, I think you'll get away from it." The Doctor said, and opened the door. "Well, come on, shake a leg." The four ponies entered the museum, looking about. Cadance, Twilight, and Shining Armor all lit their horns, lighting up the whole room. The Doctor walked over to the map of the museum, studying it. "Let's see..." Cadance walked over to Twilight, and said, "What happens if the Meadowbrook items are also being relieved of their magical energy?" "Then we have a problem." The Doctor interrupted, and turned to face the three royal ponies. "If the magical energy is being drained, it means that Equestria will have no defense against this threat, whatever that is." "But, what about the magic of friendship?" Twilight asked. "Not this time," the Doctor explained, "have you ever noticed that the magic of friendship almost always manifests itself through an object, or stone, but, if all the magical energy is being drained, then even the magic of friendship can't recharge them, as long as they are constantly being drained." "Then, what do we do?" Twilight asked. "First, we need to figure out if the Meadowbrook items are being drained as well." The Doctor turned around, and began walking to the Artifacts hall. "Where are we, anyway?" Twilight asked, entering the control room with the Doctor, and Sunset. "It's called the TARDIS." the Doctor explained, walking toward the console, flipping a few switches. "TWILIGHT!!!" A series of yells came from the left side of the room. Twilight turned to her left, and saw five girls rushing toward her, as they began asking questions. The Doctor turned to Sunset. "Would you mind?" "Not at all." Sunset walked toward the five girls, and began explaining the scenario. Twilight broke away from then, and went over to join the Doctor at the console. "What does TARDIS stand for?" "Time and Relative Dimension in Space," the Doctor explained, "the name was used of Gallifrey for years. Odd enough though, my granddaughter, Susan, thought she created the name. She was young, so I let her believe that she came up with the name." "Oh." Twilight said, and adjusted her glasses. "Still though, this scenario, it's just weird." "Yeah, but, we'll find a way to fix it." The Doctor assured. Sunset came walking up to them, a slight look of pride on her face, and she turned to Twilight, "I told them who you were, and they understood, or at least I think they did." "Right then," the Doctor said, "follow me." He excited the TARDIS, along with the seven girls, Twilight coming up the rear. She turned around, and was surprised by the nine foot tall wooden box she had just left. "It's bigger...on the inside..." she stuttered. The Doctor walked in front of her, and shut the TARDIS door. "You know, it's a bit more exciting the other way around." Then, he turned, and started walking in the direction of Canterlot Castle. "Where are you going?" Sunset called after him. "Canterlot Castle." The Doctor shouted back. "Why?" "I need to see Celestia and Luna!" The Doctor, Twilight, Cadance, and Shining Armor stopped in front of the Meadowbrook exhibit. Upon their way to the exhibit, they had reverted back t human form, of which Twilight had to help her brother and sister-in-law figure out how to walk. Before them lay a eight random objects, each with magical value. A pocket watch, a locket, a book, an amulet, an iron , a roll of ribbon, a pair of glasses, and even a tea pot. They were all concealed behind a wall of magical glass. The Doctor immediately pulled his sonic screwdriver and scanned the objects. "How do you walk on two legs?" Shining Armor asked, now sitting on a bench between Twilight and Cadance. "It's complicated." Twilight replied. "I know." Shining Armor agreed. "Oh, it's not working!" the Doctor exclaimed, shaking his screwdriver next to his ear. Twilight looked up, and walked toward the Doctor. "What's not working?" "The sonic!" The Doctor said, "I can't get a clear scan of the items." "The glass is enchanted with a protection spell." Twilight explained, "It acts as a shield. It protects the item from erosion, light, and any kind of wear that will affect it." "Hm..." the Doctor began, "If I set the sonic to the right frequency, I might be able to shatter the glass." He pulled the sonic up to the ear. "Now, if I can just..." Then there was a bright cherry-lavender light, and the glass shattered, sprinkling all over the floor. "What...?" The Doctor mumbled, then noticed Twilight's hand glowing the same color. "Did you...?" "I...think so?" Twilight said. "It's odd, considering that when I've been human before, I haven't been able to use magic." "It's possible that because the worlds have converged, people who are unicorns in Equestria can use magic in their human forms." The Doctor explained. "I see." Twilight said. The Doctor now proceeded to scan the Meadowbrook items. "Yep, just as I thought." "What?" Cadance asked, standing up. "They're losing their magical powers as well." The Doctor said. "Fantastic." "Then what do we do?" Twilight asked. "We get back to the TARDIS," the Doctor said, proceeding down the corridor, "we need to talk a chat with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna." > Don't I know you? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Doctor burst into Canterlot Castle, the seven girls trailing behind him. He glanced around, noticing that there were no guards present. “It looks like Shining Armor’s finest have gone on a holiday.” The Doctor said, before continuing down the massive corridor. “We need to get to the throne room,” the Doctor explained, then glanced at Sunset, “I don’t know the way there.” Sunset sped up ahead of the Doctor. “I know the way.” Twilight walked up alongside the Doctor, and said, “I’m assuming that these versions of Celestia and Luna aren’t high school principals?” The Doctor looked at Twilight, with a suspicious look, “How do you know so much about Canterlot High?” “I…um…” Twilight stuttered, “I’ve been doing research on the school. With all the strange happenings there, I tried to figure out what was going on.” “Well, Equestrian magic, raging she-demon, hypnotizing fish singers, alien shape shifters, and a disappearing blue box,” the Doctor said, “I can see where you might get suspicious.” “How many of those were you?” Twilight asked. “All except the raging she-demon, and the hypnotizing fish singers.” The Doctor said. “Oh.” Twilight said. Suddenly, the ground shook, and there was a bright white light, blinding the eight people. When the light faded, all of them looked like their pony counterparts. “Okay, this is getting old.” Rainbow Dash said. “Oh, come one Rainbow Dash, it’s not that bad,” Pinkie Pie said, jumping up and down, “Being a pony is fun!” “I’ve ridden ponies before, Pinkie,” Rainbow Dash said, “and, it’s not that fun.” “Okay, now I have that image in my mind.” Sunset said. “What image?” Rarity asked. “Don’t ask.” Sunset replied. Rainbow cocked her head to the side, “Uh…” “Anyway!” the Doctor interrupted, and turned to Sunset. “Princesses, remember?” “Right.” Sunset continued down the corridor, the other seven following her. When they arrived outside the throne room doors, Sunset gestured for the Doctor to enter. “No, ladies first.” The Doctor said. “Why?” Sunset asked. “I’ve had bad experiences with royalty before.” The Doctor explained, “Queen Elizabeth the First tried to behead me, still trying to figure out why, considering I married her, and Queen Victoria exiled me from Britain, after knighting me no less.” “Okay.” Sunset said, with a confused look on her face. “Hold on, you married Queen Elizabeth the First!?” Twilight shouted. “Yeah, long story.” The Doctor said, and turned back to Sunset, gesturing for her to enter the throne room. Sunset sighed, and pushed open the throne room doors. She saw Celestia and Luna in deep discussion. She walked forward, and then two scepters blocked her path. “Who goes there?” A guard demanded, which got Celestia and Luna’s attention. Sunset rolled her eyes, and teleported past the guards. “Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, I seek audience with you!” Celestia’s eyes widened. “Sunset Shimmer? Is that you?” Sunset nodded. “Yes. I seek audience with you.” “Oh, drop the formality, we have work to do!” the Doctor shouted, pushing past the guards. “Who are you?” Luna asked, walking down the steps of the throne. “I’m the Doctor.” The Doctor said, stepping beside Sunset. “Doctor who?” Luna asked. “Well, that’s the question isn’t it?” the Doctor said. “Hold on,” Celestia interrupted, “would you happen to be the same doctor who saved Ponyville from the creatures known as Cybercolts and Daleks a year ago?” “Yep, that was me.” “As well as the one who helped Cadance and Shining Armor save the Crystal Empire from the pegasus known as the Master?” Luna asked. “Me also.” The Doctor admitted. “Well then, I believe we can trust you.” Celestia said, “and, it seems you’ve already had gained the trust of Princess Twilight and her friends.” The six entered, and immediately Celestia and Luna noticed Twilight’s odd look. Celestia chuckled, “Has Nightmare Night come early Twilight?” Twilight frowned. “Actually, this is my normal appearance.” “Sister,” Luna began, “take notice that Twilight is a unicorn.” Celestia focused on Twilight. “Hm…I see you’re right. But, why would Twilight be a unicorn?” “If you’d let me explain…” the Doctor began, and was cut off by a groaning, screeching sound, as a blue box appeared on the right side of the throne room. “Is that…?” Sunset asked. Then, he doors opened, and the Doctor stepped out of it, wearing a light brown suit, with grey pinstripes, and a pale green tie. “Princess Celestia, Princess Luna! I seek audience with…” then he noticed the Doctor standing to his left, “you.” “What?” the Doctor standing next to Sunset said. “I’m sorry, what?” the other Doctor asked. “But, what?” “Who are you?” “The Doctor.” “Doctor who?” “Just the Doctor.” “But, that’s not possible.” “Why?” “Because, I’m the Doctor.” “Doctor who?” “Just the Doctor.” “No, Doctor, I’m the Doctor.” “Oh, you’re both the Doctor!!!” a voice shouted, as Twilight stepped out of the TARDIS, immediately followed by Cadance and Shining Armor. “Twilight?” The Doctor standing next to Sunset asked. “To prevent confusion, I think you might as well call me ‘Princess Twilight’ for now, as we have two Twilight’s now.” Twilight explained. “I don’t understand.” The Doctor next to Princess Twilight said, “How can he be me?” “Two worlds.” The Doctor next to Sunset said. “I’m from Earth, you must be from Gaea.” “The Equestrian Doctor.” Princess Twilight said. Twilight stepped forward, slightly looking upward to look in Princess Twilight’s eyes. “So, you’re my dimensional doppelganger.” “I don’t like to think you as my doppelganger, more as my double.” Princess Twilight replied. “Fine, dimensional double.” Twilight replied. “Anyway,” the Doctor began, and looked toward his double, “now there’s two if us, twice the brainpower.” “The cleverest ponies in the room.” The Equestrian Doctor said. “In the whole world, probably.” “Well, worlds.” “True, true.” “Will you two stop flirting, and just tell us what’s going on?!” Rainbow Dash shouted, who was hovering above them. “Oi, we’re not flirting!” the Doctor shouted back. “Not even close.” The Equestrian Doctor said. “Get to the point!” Luna shouted. “Okay, fine!” the Doctor shouted, and turned to address the princesses. “Do you have a meeting hall?” “Yes, why?” Celestia asked. “Good.” The Doctor then turned to Princess Twilight, “Call your friends; get them here.” “Okay, why?” Princess Twilight asked. “Just do it!” the Doctor snapped, causing Princess Twilight to back up a bit, and even the Equestrian Doctor to be in shock. The Doctor then turned to Celestia and Luna. “Gather your guards, get the Wonderbolts, an army if you have one, and get them here. You need them.” “Why?” Celestia asked. “Because, an invasion’s coming.” The Doctor said, his tone almost threatening. “An invasion of what?” Luna asked. “Daleks.” The Doctor said, his tone completely serious. Princess Twilight’s pupils shrank, as fear overwhelmed her. The Equestrian Doctor looked straight at his counterpart. “Daleks?” “Yeah.” The Doctor replied, his gaze still at the princesses. “Then we do need an army.” “Yeah.” Princess Twilight turned to Celestia and Luna. “I’ve dealt with them before, and you’d better do as the Doctor says. Both of them.” Celestia nodded, and looked at the guards at the door. “Summon the rest of the militia, the Wonderbolts, as well as the five in Ponyville, and bring them to the Ball Room.” “Yes, your highness.” The guards said, and left the room. Celestia turned to Cadance and Shining Armor. “Summon the Crystal Soldiers as well.” The couple nodded. “Doctor, we will set up the stage for you.” Celestia said, as the Doctor nodded. And Celestia said, in her most serious tone, “As of now, we are at war.” > The Doctor's Speech > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The light faded, and everyone was human once again. The Doctor sighed, and looked at his Equestrian counterpart, who was staring at the vast amount of people in the Ballroom. The Ballroom has been used for many things before, such as the Grand Galloping Gala, the National Summit, but never before as a briefing, let alone on this scale. The stage was on the far side of the room, the stained glass windows behind it. Before the stage, lay hundreds of ponies. Celestia’s guards, the Crystal Empire army, and even the Wonderbolts were attending. The Canterlot High six, as well as their version of Twilight were standing in the back of the room, chatting away. “Who’s the blue-haired guy in the gold armor?” Twilight asked Sunset. “At a guess,” Sunset said, “I’d say it was the Equestrian version of Flash Sentry. Looks like he became a Crystal Empire guard.” “He’s kinda cute.” Twilight said, and then recoiled at the thought. “I’ve never thought someone to be cute before.” “Don’t worry, Princess Twilight’s the same.” Sunset said, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Really?” Twilight asked, “Does he go to Canterlot High in your world?” “Yeah, he does.” Sunset replied. “I might have to transfer.” Twilight said. Sunset smirked, and stepped in front of Twilight. “Why?” “I um…” Twilight stuttered. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anybody.” Sunset said. Behind the stage, the Doctor, his Equestrian counterpart, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadance, Princess Twilight, Shining Armor, the Princess Twilight’s friends stood. “Well, time to go on stage,” the Doctor said, “wish me luck.” “Good luck.” The Equestrian Doctor said. “Blimey.” The Doctor mumbled, before heading out on stage. Everyone was chatting with each other, so, when the Doctor tried to get their attention, they couldn’t hear him. He leaned over to Celestia, and asked, “Do you have a sound system?” “Yes, here’s the microphone.” Celestia said, handing the Doctor the mic. But, instead of speaking into the mic, he placed his sonic screwdriver to it, and pressed the button, causing the sound to amplify 10 times louder than it normally would. The Doctor’s face stayed stern, while everybody on the Ball Room covered their ears. The Doctor stopped the screwdriver sound, placed it back in his suit pocket. “Thank you.” The Doctor said, before putting the microphone up to his mouth, and speaking in a loud booming voice. “A long time ago, there was a man. Like no other. He was trapped in a place that he could not escape. I was the unfortunate soul who had to tell him this. Then, he turned insane. I defeated him, and I thought I would never see him again. I was wrong. “I faced him again. And, I nearly lost, but, I defeated him again, and I thought to myself, ‘there’s no way he can come back now.’ But he came back today. “He is causing this. And he is sending an army to fight you. A race of aliens called Daleks. The Daleks are cold blooded killers. They have no mercy, no conscience, and no soul. They will kill you without a second thought. And, they are heading this way. “In less than an hour, you will participate in the biggest battle in the history of ponykind. Ponykind, that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interest. “And, you must fight for our freedom. But, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution. But from extermination. We’re fighting for our right to live. To exist. “And, should we win the day, today will be the day in which we said in one voice, ‘we will not go quietly into the night! We will not perish, without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today, we celebrate our Independence Day!!!” And, the entire crowd cheered, as the Doctor stepped down from the stage, laughing loudly. “What is it?” Celestia asked. “Nothing,” the Doctor said, still chuckling, “it’s just, I can’t believe they fell for that!” At the back of the room, Sunset face-palmed. “What is it?” Twilight asked. “He quoted Independence Day.” Sunset said. “Independence Day,” Sunset explained, “is an old movie where aliens invade on the fourth of July. He practically quoted the President’s Speech before the final battle.” “Well, it worked.” Twilight replied, as the crowd cheered. Princess Twilight stepped up on the stage. “Alright everypony! Battle positions!” > Cannon to the right... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “It’s like a scene straight from Return of the King.” The Doctor said, as everypony was in their battle positions. Set up around the city, Canterlot was battle ready, but there was one thing missing. Inside the throne room, the Doctor, his Equestrian Counterpart, Princess Twilight, her human counterpart, Shining Armor and Cadance stood pondering the next action. Upon setting up Canterlot for the battle, they had returned to their pony forms. “We need a shield.” The Equestrian Doctor said, almost reading the Doctor’s thoughts. “I can create a shield around the city.” Shining Armor volunteered. “So can I.” Cadance offered. “Yeah, but, you constantly need to recharge it-“ “So, we need to find a way to project a shield that has an unlimited power supply.” The Doctor said, finishing the Equestrian variant’s sentence. “But, how do we do that?” Princess Twilight asked. “I have an idea!” Twilight exclaimed, catching everyone’s attention. “If we can connect the shield to the TARDIS, it’ll have an infinite power supply.” “Oh, brilliant Twilight!” the Doctor exclaimed, “I also have an Idea!” “Go on,” the Equestrian Doctor said. “If we can use the TARDIS as a radar, we’ll be able to detect incoming Daleks!” “Fantastic!” the Equestrian Doctor exclaimed. “We’ll use my TARDIS.” “Another idea!” Twilight shouted. “We’ll place the TARDIS in the center of the city, giving us the best radar usage, and then connect it to multiple monitors in the Canterlot High computer lab, to give us multiple screens we can use.” “Brilliant, I’ll help you set it up.” The Equestrian Doctor said. “I think all of you are forgetting something.” Princess Twilight said. “What?” the Doctor asked. “The city’s population!” Princess Twilight exclaimed, “There’s hundreds of ponies living here! Their homes will do nothing to stop the Daleks!” “The caves beneath the city,” Cadance said, “we can send them there.” “Caves?” the Doctor asked. “Yes,” Cadance explained, “back when the Changelings invaded Canterlot last year, Chrysalis hid me there.” “Oh, brilliant, evacuate everyone there.” The Doctor said. The Doctor and Sunset stood on a terrace, overlooking the Great Equestrian Plain, which contained Ponyville, and the Everfree Forest. They’d be leading the battle, much to both their dislikes, but, the Doctor was forced into this scenario, and Sunset was there to support him. “Cannon to right of them, cannon to left of them, cannon in front of them volley'd and thunder'd.” Sunset said, overlooking Equestria, her mane waving in the wind. “Storm'd at with shot and shell, boldly they rode and well, into the jaws of Death, into the mouth of Hell, rode the six hundred.” The Doctor finished, looking Sunset in the eye. “You know that poem too?” Sunset asked. “I helped write it.” The Doctor said. Sunset raised an eyebrow. “No you didn’t.” “Who do you think wrote verse six?” The Doctor asked. “Alfred Lord Tennyson.” Sunset replied, smirking. “Fair enough.” The Doctor said. “I just hope this doesn’t end like the poem.” “You and me both.” Sunset replied. “Doctor!” the Doctor heard in his ear. He had earpieces generated that linked almost everypony with every other pony. It was the Equestrian Doctor who had spoken to the Doctor. “Why, yes, Doctor, what can I do for you?” the Doctor asked. The Equestrian Doctor was in the Canterlot High computer lab with Twilight, monitoring the surrounding area. The earpieces also allowed the Equestrian Doctor and Twilight to see where everypony was in the Canterlot vicinity. “You’ve got incoming. About three miles away, a squadron of forty-two Daleks approaching the city at a rate of fifty miles per hour.” “Gotcha.” The Doctor said, and switched his earpiece to address everypony in the militia. Benefits of having them linked to the brain. “Alright everyone, Daleks inbound. Everypony ready?” The response was a large amount of squeals and shouts, causing the Doctor’s ear to ache. “Ow ow ow ow, alright you can stop now!” the Doctor shouted, “Now then, let’s get ready. Shining Armor, is that shield up?” As if on cue, a large lavender shield surrounded the city, enveloping it. “Yes, it is.” Shining Armor said. “Good.” The Doctor said. “Now then, everypony remember: This shield is penetrable. We cane exit and enter it, but the Daleks cannot. But, the Daleks will try to break through it. Our goal is to make sure the Dalek don’t, and destroy them before they reach the shield. The Daleks could probably break through it very easily. Now, due to the magical advances contained within each pony, it should be easier to destroy these Daleks, but aim for the eyestalk, that is the Dalek’s weakness.” “Doctor I hate to interrupt this great speech, but perhaps you should focus on the Dalek within a mile of this city.” The Equestrian Doctor said. Sure enough there were several Daleks approaching. “Right then, everypony, engage the enemy at my mark: Three… two… one… ENGAGE!!!” Like a sea of color, ponies swept out of the city, through the shield and engaged the Daleks. It was clear these Daleks were weaker than the average ones, as they were quickly destroyed as ponies impacted them. Leading the fray was Princess Twilight, who's magic and flight quickly overpowered several Daleks. On the edge of the city itself, was the Canterlot guards and Celestia and Luna. They were launching spells at Daleks, causing them to shatter into the pieces. The Wonderbolts were being led by Spitfire and Rainbow Dash, who were colliding with the Daleks, causing them to explode upon impact, though it barely even singed the Pegasi. The battle raged on four roughly ten minutes, before the Dalek wave was completely destroyed. "Good job everypony!" As ponies began to cheer, the Equestrian Doctor spoke, "Not so fast everyone, we have another wave coming fast, three times bigger than the last one." The Doctor looked onward, as several more Daleks approached, and he could hear the faint cry of "Exterminate." "Alright everyone, form up, get ready!" The Doctor said, "Let's go!" The ponies engaged the Daleks once again, but the Daleks were more prepared this time. They began firing before the ponies even got there, and the Doctor saw several Pegasi falling out of the sky, falling to the ground. "No..." "We're outnumbered and outgunned!" Rainbow Dash screamed. "They're taking us out quickly!" Princess Twilight said, as she launched another spell. "I don't know long we can stand out!" Spitfire shouted. "We're going-" Fleetfoot let out a scream, and tumbled toward the ground. "Doctor, what should we do?!" Princess Twilight asked, awaiting the Doctor's voice. But, the Doctor simply stood there in awe, shocked by the events unfolding. "Doctor!" Sunset shouting, snapping the Doctor out of it. "Retreat..." The Doctor mumbled. "Retreat!" He reiterated, much louder this time, "Get back into the city and retreat into the catacombs! Get beneath the city, GET OUT OF THERE NOW!!!" Everypony fell back, and the Daleks approached. They hit the shield, and it shattered, and began firing at the city. As the Doctor and Sunset retreated down the stairs from their balcony, the Equestrian Doctor shouted, "Doctor, I've figured out where Omega's TARDIS is! I'm sending the telemetry to your TARDIS now!" "I'll meet you there!" The Doctor shouted, as chaos rained throughout the city. And, if things couldn't get worse, they transformed back into humans. "Gah!" the Doctor groaned, as he tripped down the stone steps. "Come on!" The Doctor grabbed Sunset's hand, and dragged her to the TARDIS. "Princess Twilight, meet me at the TARDIS!" "Got it!" the Princess replied, and ran to the TARDIS. Twilight packed up her laptop, separating it from the CHS power grid. The Equestrian Doctor pulled her to the TARDIS, where he began to pull several switches, and the TARDIS noise rang throughout the time machine. The Doctor entered the TARDIS, Sunset and Princess Twilight on his tail, and started to pull switches, as he was where the telemetry for Omega's TARDIS on his monitor. "Alright both of you, now we might not survive this." The Doctor explained, before taking off. "This could be it, our final stand, our blackest hour. This could be the end. Do you want to stay?" "Are our chances better if we stay or go?" Twilight asked. "Neither of them are very high." The Doctor said. "Then we're going with you." Sunset said. The Doctor smiled, and pulled the switch. "Allons-y!" The Doctor shouted, as the TARDIS began to shake and rattle. "MULTIPLE TARDIS SIGNALS DETECTED!" A Dalek told Omega. "REQUESTING ORDERS!" "Let them come." Omega said. "Boldly they rode into the jaws of death, into the mouth of hell, rode the six hundred." > Cannon to the left... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The two TARDIS's landed right next to each other in a small room, and each Doctor, each Twilight, and the one Sunset exited. "You know I had a dream like this once." The Doctor said. "Yeah, it ended badly." The Equestrian Doctor replied. They looked at their surroundings, and it was similar to how it was when the Doctor first landed there. The lights were a very dim blue, and most systems seemed offline. "We need torches." The Doctor said. "Oh, here!" Twilight reached into her coat, and pulled out five flashlights. "Why do you have those?" Princess Twilight asked. "Well, most girls carry lipstick or mascara, but I carry useful things like flashlights and thumb drives." Twilight handed each of her companions a flashlight, and they flicked them on. They exited the room they in, and entered the hallway. "How old are you, Doctor?" The Equestrian Doctor asked. "Oh, about nine-hundred and five." The Doctor replied. "Really? You're that old?" The Equestrian Doctor asked. "Yeah, how old are you?" the Doctor asked. "About four-hundred and thirty-six." The Equestrian Doctor replied. "Which regeneration are you on?" The Doctor asked. "I'm an currently the fourth Doctor." "I'm the tenth." "Gee mate, how often do you get yourself killed?" The Doctor chuckled. "Too often." "Well, just take a trip to Gallopfrey and you'll get new ones." The Equestrian Doctor said. "Gallopfrey? Don't you mean Gallifrey?" The Doctor asked. "No, I mean Gallopfrey." The Equestrian Doctor reiterated. "Hm..." The Doctor pondered this while the two Twilight were having a conversation. "So, you're me?" Princess Twilight asked. "I seems that way, though we are different." Twilight replied, gesturing to her glasses. "True, true." The Doctor stopped, and everyone bumped into each other. "Why'd you stop?" Sunset asked. "There's a panel here," The Doctor said, pulling out his sonic screwdriver, "I might be able to access it." He used the screwdriver to add power to the panel. "Let's see..." The Doctor pressed various buttons. "Oh, how do I bring up a map?" The Doctor asked himself, getting frustrated. "Press the map button." Sunset said, pressing a button in the lower corner of the panel. "Oh." The Doctor expressed, as everyone giggled. "Ah, here it is." "Here what is?" Twilight asked. "The TARDIS power grid." The Doctor explained, "Unlike my TARDIS, this type 64 TARDIS was powered by a nuclear storm drive, rather than an Eye of Harmony." "Eye of Harmony?" Princess Twilight asked. "Yep." "Do you have any idea if Gallifrey ever had any connection with Equestria?" Princess Twilight asked. "I don't think so." The Doctor replied, "But, what we need to do is shut down the power system, and Equestria and Earth should separate." "Brilliant." The Equestrian Doctor replied, pulling out his own sonic screwdriver, and connecting it to the panel. "I'm transferring the map it to my sonic screwdriver. We should be able to use the screwdriver as a tracking system to lead us to the power core." "Right then, shall we make our way there?" The Doctor asked. "EXTERMINATE!!!" A Dalek screamed down the hallway. "Oh dear." the Equestrian Doctor expressed. "Run!" The Doctor shouted, and ran down the hall, the others on his tail. They reached a lift, and entered it, closing the door quickly. "How many decks down?" Sunset asked. "Seven." The Equestrian Doctor replied. Sunset pressed the button, and the lift began charging down. Seven decks later, they exited the lift, and entered a large blue room with dim light. The Doctor, however, stayed in the elevator. "Doctor, aren't you coming?" The Doctor stayed silent for several seconds. "No." He said, and closed the elevator door. The Equestrian Doctor skipped up to the door, pulling out his sonic screwdriver, and using it on the door. "Don't bother," the Doctor said inside the elevator. "It's deadlocked, good luck getting in." "What are you doing?" The Equestrian Doctor asked, breathing heavily. "I'm going to face Omega, myself." The Doctor replied. "Why?" Sunset asked, her eyes wide. "I caused this." The Doctor said, "I let Omega live, each time I met him. It's my fault. And I have to stop him." "You're deluded." The Equestrian Doctor said, "Call the Time-Lords, maybe they can do somethi-" "THE TIME-LORDS ARE ALL DEAD!!!" The Doctor shouted, causing everybody to take a small step back, "I KILLED THEM! DO YOU HEAR ME?! I KILLED THEM!!! IF THEY WERE ALIVE, THEY COULD STOP THIS! BUT, I KILLED THEM TO STOP THE DALEKS! I THOUGHT IT WOULD FIX EVERYTHING, BUT IT DIDN'T! IT MADE THINGS WORSE! AND NOW, EVERYONE COULD DIE BECAUSE OF ME! NOT NOW! I WILL STOP HIM, EVEN IF IT MEANS SACRIFICING MYSELF!!! The Doctor used his screwdriver to start up the lift. "Get to the power system, and shut it down. Quick as you can. Good-bye." Before anyone could reply, the lift was already charging upward. > Cannon in front... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Doctor stepped out of the lift, and into the console room. Oddly enough, there were no Daleks there. The Doctor raised an eyebrow, and walked up to the console. He fiddled with the controls, though they did nothing. "I've locked the controls," a voice behind the Doctor said, "they'll only respond to me." The Doctor whipped around, to see Omega standing in the top step of the stairs. His hands were behind him, and his face looked smug. But, worst of all, he looked exactly like the Doctor. "Why are you doing this?" The Doctor asked. "Oh, it's relatively simple," Omega said, walking down the stairs, "I'm getting my revenge." "On who?" "On you." Omega said, now standing directly in front of the Doctor. "Then why destroy Earth and Gaea?" the Doctor asked. Omega smiled and walked past the Doctor toward the console. "These planets seem to be your most beloved. Earth is anyway, and Gaea is where your companions are from, so it only seemed fitting to use those planets. Besides, if I destroy these planets, I get to watch you suffer." "Okay, but, how-" "No, Doctor, my question next." Omega said cutting off the Doctor. "Who is..." Omega pressed a few buttons on the console, "this?" An image of the Equestrian Doctor appeared on the large monitor behind the console. "He's the Equestrian version of me." the Doctor explained. "He's just like me. In almost every way. My question now: I get how you combined the planets into one, but, here's what I don't get; Why do people on the planet keep switching species? That's not natural, that's manipulative." "Thaumetric energy." Omega replied, "I simply adjust the amount in the air, and you switch species. It can be quite fun." Whilst the Doctor stared at Omega with utter contempt, Omega unveiled his next question, "Next question, how good are you at dueling, Doctor? As in swords?" "I've done my fair share. I once fought off a Cyberman with a cutlass." the Doctor replied. "Good." Omega said, walking up into his office. Hesitantly, the Doctor followed him, and entered Omega's office. Omega was holding a large sword, with black trim at the end. "Have you ever seen this sword before, Doctor?" Omega asked, yet didn't wait for a response, "It's a replica of Narsil, the sword used by Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings, or a replica at least. It's solid steel, and surprisingly weightless. The perfect sword." He gestured to a case next to the entrance. "There's a sword in there too, if you'd like to grab it." Reluctantly, the Doctor opened the case, and pulled out a similar sword, slightly smaller, and with blue detail on the hilt. "Do you recognize that one?" "Glamdring." the Doctor said, holding up the sword. "Wielded by Gandalf. Known as the Foe-Hammer in the language of the Goblins." "Wonderful!" Omega exclaimed. "You know your books!" "As do you, but, Narsil was wielded by the king of Gondor in the ancient times. When the sword was re-forged in the third age, it was renamed Anduril." The Doctor explained. "Very good, Doctor." Omega said, flatly. "Now you say you've had your fair share of dueling?" "That's right." The Doctor replied. "Good." Omega raised his sword, "Then, defend yourself." "What?" The Doctor managed to ask, before Omega lunged at him, his sword in hand. The Doctor raised his sword, and it clanged against his adversary's. The Doctor pushed Omega back, and then ran into the console room, and then turned back around, keeping Omega in sights. Omega fought against the Doctor, as their swords clanged against each other, filling the room with noise. The console next to Twilight exploded. "Dalek!" she shouted. "Follow me!" the Equestrian Doctor shouted, running down the hallway, "We're almost there." The four charged down the hallway, the occasional laser bolt whizzing past them. "A few more meters!" The four slammed against a metal door, which the Doctor quickly used his sonic screwdriver to open. The four rushed in, and the sight they were greeted with made them stop in their tracks. The nuclear storm drive was only about twenty feet away from them, and it was blazing with fury, the orange light coating the room. "Oh s-" "EXTERMINATE!!!" The Doctor quickly ran over to the door and sealed it. "Alright, how do you shut down a nuclear storm drive?" the Doctor asked. "How are we supposed to know?" Princess Twilight replied, just before the entire ship shook violently to the side. "ARG!!!" The Doctor shrieked, as the ship shook, and removed his sword from the TARDIS console, and prepared for Omega's attack. Sure enough, Omega slashed at the Doctor, but the Doctor slammed his own saber against Omega's and pushed Omega back. "How about we make this a little more interesting, Doctor?" Omega asked, and rushed over to the console and began pressing buttons. "Canterlot? Let's go to Canterlot." "No!" The Doctor shrieked, but he and Omega had teleported away. The ship returned to level, and the Doctor rushed over to a console. "Let's try and shut this down." He used his screwdriver to gain access to the mainframe. "UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS DETECTED!" a deep mechanical voice boomed, "DALEK SCORPIUS DEPLOY! DEPLOY! DEPLOY!!!" "Doctor..." Princess Twilight stuttered. The Doctor swung around, and the sight he was greeted by made him stop in his track. A huge Dalek was approaching from the shadows. Instead of the standard blue light in the eye stalk, this one's shone a deep red. "LIFE FORMS DETECTED! EXTERMINATE!!!!" Dalek Scorpius cleared the shadows. It was almost entirely black, with purple in the hemispheres. The dome lights matched the red of the eye stalk, and flashed powerfully when ever it spoke. Rather than the plunger, Dalek Scorpius's arm featured a powerful claw. "I AM GENERAL DALEK SCORPIUS! SUBMIT OR BE EXTERMINATED!!! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!!! "Duck!" The Doctor shouted, and the four dove behind consoles, as Dalek Scorpius shot at them, a red laser rather than the usual blue. "We need to stop it! I have to get to the console and turn off the storm drive! Can you three possibly try and destroy it?" "How?!" Sunset shouted, "That thing's huge! It'll make mince meat out of us!" "You have magic!" The Doctor explained, "Even in your human forms, you have magic! Use it to your advantage! Hurry!" The Doctor came up, and started pressing buttons at rapid speed on the console. "Alright, let's do this!" Princess Twilight said, "We have the most powerful magic of all! The magic of friendship!" "FRIENDSHIP IS IRRELIVANT! YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!!!" Dalek Scorpius shouted, firing at them. "Oh yeah?" Sunset asked. "Well, I know we can defeat you! Because we have each other!" Just then, Sunset began to glow. Pony ears sprouted from her head, and her hair extended to form a tail. "Yes!" "Come on!" Princess Twilight said, "Let's take down this pepper pot!" And just like Sunset, Princess Twilight sprouted pony ears, and her hair formed a tail, but she also had wings. Twilight was still hiding. "I'll try and figure out how to disable it's power systems!" "Alright," Princess Twilight said, "Let's show this Dalek the Magic of Friendship." > Stormed at with shot and shell... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The pair collapsed in the middle of Canterlot, falling onto the hard ground. The Doctor clutched his sword as his hearing and sight slowly returned to him. The Daleks were still bombarding the city, though none of the inhabitants were still there. They must've gone down into the catacombs. "Welcome back to Canterlot, Doctor." Omega said, standing up, sword at the ready. "You know, I kinda like it better this way." "Omega, you can stop this." The Doctor said, "You can stop what you're doing." "Oh, blah blah blah!" Omega mocked, his hand making mouth movements, "Sorry, Doctor! That's not gonna happen!" "Look around you!" The Doctor shouted, "All this destruction, all this death! Do you think this will end?! Because it won't! The universe is always in danger! And, you're trying to take down on of the few planets that still has hope!" "Doctor, has it every occurred to you that I don't like the universe?" Omega asked, "It's boring. It could use a flare of excitement?" The Doctor's eyes widened. "You call this excitement?" "Well, of course," Omega said, "Admit it, Doctor. Your heart is racing, your mind is telling you what you should do. Come now, give in to all those dark thoughts. Raise your sword, and attack me with all of your hatred." The Doctor was breathing heavily, as his dark thoughts were brought to the surface. "Why?" He managed to say. "Because," Omega explained, "I want you to realize, we're not as different as you think. We're very similar, you and I. We both believe in justice, just different variants, we both wear tight suits, and we both have dark thoughts. The only difference is I embrace them." The Doctor smiled. "Exactly. That's where you and I differ. I know that the universe is better, and that darkness isn't the end of the world. I know that there is a better way! And, I save the universe, rather than let it burn!" "Says the person who destroyed Gallifrey, and killed all the Time-Lords." Omega snapped, hitting the Doctor right where it hurts. "So, come now. Let's finish this." He raised his sword, just as the Doctor raised his own, and their weapons clanged together as the battle raged around them. "Aim for the eye stalk!" the Equestrian Doctor shouted as he fiddles with the console. Princess Twilight flew up, and shot a beam of magic from her hands right into the Scorpius's eye. It hit the Dalek square in the eye, and it began shouting, "MY VISION IS IMPAIRED!!! ACTIVATING SECONDARY VISUAL SENSORS!!!" On the lower half of Scorpius, the orbs began to open, revealing shining blue light, which looked similar to the Dalek's primary eye. "SECONDARY VISUAL SENSORS ENABLED!!!" "Well, that's a first." the Doctor mumbled. "How do we take down all of those?!" Princess Twilight shouted, creating a forcefield around herself, while Sunset did similar on the ground. "The eye stalk is still the weak point!" Twilight shouted, pressing several buttons on her laptop. "Wait, when did you get your computer?" Sunset asked. "No time to explain," Twilight snapped, "But if you can create a blast powerful enough to destroy the eye stalk, you'll have a clear shot to the Dalek interior!" "And how do we create a blast that strong?!" Princess Twilight shouted back. "You're the magic expert, not me!" Twilight snapped back. "I got it!" Sunset shouted, catching the two Twilight's attentions. "A trick I learned from an old film: Cross the streams!" "What?" Princess Twilight asked, flatly. "It we cross out magic streams, we should be able to create a blast powerful enough to shatter the eye stalk!" "That's crazy!" Princess Twilight shouted. "We don't have any other options!" Twilight shouted back. Princess Twilight glances back and forth between the two, and then at the Doctor, who nodded. "Okay, let's do it!" Princess Twilight said, as Sunset levitated up to her side. The two nodded at each other, and both fired a magical beam right into Scorpius's eye stalk. The Doctor stumbled backward, but quickly regained his composure, waiting for Omega to strike again. Their battle had led to the Canterlot throne room, and they were still locked in combat. Omega swung at the Doctor's legs, as the Doctor jumped backward, and defected the shot. The Doctor aimed for Omega's left shoulder, but Omega saw it coming, and whacked his sword against the Doctor's, who withdrew his sword. The Doctor ran up onto the primary throne and moved into a defensive position. Omega ran up to the Doctor, sword in hand ready to strike, but the Doctor flipped himself over the arm of the throne, as Omega smacked into it, and the Doctor grinned momentarily, but Omega regained his composure. The Doctor ran off, Omega in pursuit. Scorpius's eye stalk shattered, and pieces scattered about the room. "CRITICAL DAMAGE DETECTED!!! ACTIVATING ALTERNATE WEAPON SYSTEMS!!!" The giant Dalek had even more blasters eject from it's body. "MAXIMUM EXTERMINATION!!! Scorpius fired shots at random, hitting nothing in particular, and it kept adjusting it's aim. Sunset and Princess Twilight each created a force field to protect them, Twilight ducked behind a console, but the Equestrian Doctor was still out in the open working on the console. "Doctor, look out!" Twilight shouted, and the Doctor had just enough time to look up, before a laser bolt hit him square in the chest, sending him flying backwards and hitting a wall. The three shouted in fear, but the Doctor was still moving. "Twilight, help him!" Sunset shouted, as her friend moved over towards their fallen friend. "We're taking this Dalek down now." > Boldly they Rode... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight approached the Doctor who was still moving, and struggling to get up. "Doctor, are you alright?" Twilight asked, helping the Doctor stand. "Yeah, I'm..." the Doctor stopped, as a tiny bit of golden energy seeped from his hands. "Oh no, not now..." Princess Twilight and Sunset Shimmer had entered Scorpius, and realized a major thing when inside. "It's bigger on the inside." They said simultaneously, gazing at the Dalek's insides. "Time-Lord technology?" Princess Twilight asked. "Well, Omega did create these Daleks," Sunset deduced, "It's possible some Time-Lord Tech was included in their construction." "We need to find Scorpius's body and destroy it." the Princess of Friendship said. "And get out before we're destroyed too." Sunset finished, and the two descended into the depths of Dalek Scorpius. "Doctor, what's going on?" Twilight asked, as the Doctor ducked under the console. "Regeneration," the Equestrian Doctor explained, "When a Time-Lord is dying he or she can regenerate into a brand new body, new person. It's a way of cheating death. I'm suppressing the energy at the moment, but I can't do it for long." "But, if you can change, why aren't you?" Twilight asked, confused. "Because, if I do, I'll become confused about what's around me, and I won't understand anything about what's going on," the Doctor explained, "So, I'm suppressing it for a while, but it won't last forever. But, right now, we need to turn off the storm drive." "LIFE FORMS DETECTING WITHIN DALEK! ACTIVATE SECURITY MEASURES!!! Scorpius's voice boomed inside the Dalek machine, and the Princess of Friendship and her friend from another world found the creature inside the machine. "That's disgusting." Sunset concluded. "You're telling me." Twilight said, and powered up her magic. Both she and Sunset fired at the Dalek's squishy, squid-like head, but it was absorbed by an invisible force. "Forcefield!" Sunset said, leaning backward. "How are we supposed to take it down now?" Twilight asked. Sunset looked around, and out of curiosity, fired a magical beam at one of the cables leading down to the Dalek body. The cable snapped off like paper. "What are you doing?" Princess Twilight asked. "The cables create the forcefield! Sunset said, "If we get rid of them, we can destroy the Dalek!" Twilight smiled, and began shooting at the cables. The Doctor and Omega had teleported to another place. This time a raging volcano. The stood across from each other, lava boiling beside them, as they stared into the same face. "This can go on forever, Omega." the Doctor said. Omega rolled his eyes. "Really? You're playing that card?" "We share the same body," the Doctor explained, "We have the exact same strengths and weaknesses, we simply can't beat one another!" "Keep telling yourself that Doctor!" Omega shouted, "You might win a medal!" And, Omega charged at the Doctor. "DALEK SYSTEMS OVERLOADING!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!?! EXPLAIN!!! EXPLAIN!!! EXPLAIN!!! Dalek Scorpius shouted, as Sunset and Twilight grinned at each other. "Let's get out of here." Sunset said. "Right." Twilight replied, as the two began to fly out of the Dalek. "I don't get it!" the Doctor said, irritated. "Get what?" Twilight asked. "The storm drive shouldn't be running, I've deactivated it!" The Doctor groaned. Just then, Sunset and Princess Twilight flew out of Scorpius, shouting the same thing: "Duck!!!" They tackled the Doctor and Twilight to the ground, just as Scorpius exploded in flame, and the storm drive shut down. "Oh, so that's what it took to shut it down." Omega crashed to the ground, as a beeping began to be heard. "What the...?" Omega mumbled, and looked at his wrist. "The nuclear storm drive is deactivated!" "That would be my friends upstairs." The Doctor said, looking up. Omega stood angrily. "YOU!!!!" and the pair teleported away. > The Jaws of Death > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The bombarding stopped. Rainbow Dash looked around the cave. "It it over?" She asked. A few minutes prior, they had changed all back to ponies. "Perhaps." Princess Celestia said. "Maybe someone should go out and look." Cadance suggested. "I'm on it!" Rainbow shouted, and with great glee, flew out of the cave. She in the middle of Canterlot, and looked around. Nothing. There was nothing going on. Then she saw a Dalek. She stormed toward it, and began hitting it over and over, but the Dalek didn't fight back. After about two solid minutes of hitting the machine over and over, she stopped, realizing the Dalek hadn't done anything. "Are you dead?" She asked the Dalek, which didn't reply. She looked ahead of her, and saw several other Daleks. They seemed to have fallen, and they're eyes weren't glowing like normal. Rainbow smiled. "Not so tough now, are ya?" she asked them, and obviously got no reply. Rainbow flew back to the caves. "Coast is clear," she told Celestia, "It's like all of them stopped." "Perhaps our friends were able to stop them." Celestia guessed. "We have to get onto the bridge!" The Equestrian Doctor said, as Sunset and Princess Twilight's ears, wings and tails faded away. "And, we have to hurry, or we might not make it in time. We'll take the TARDIS's. Sunset, we can keep a communication link open, and I can tell you how to fly it." Then the Doctor collapsed in pain, shrieking. "Are you okay?" Twilight asked, kneeling. "I'm going to regenerate soon, I can't hold it much longer." the Doctor explained, "We have to hurry, let's go!" The four ran off, Twilight helping the Doctor running. "Omega, you know we've won, and you know what's going to happen next." the Doctor said, tossing his sword to the side. His suit was covered in ash and soot, along with Omega's. "Oh, Doctor, cocky as ever." Omega said, pressing several buttons on the central console. The two had teleported back to Omega's TARDIS console room. And, without warning, both Doctor's TARDIS's regenerated in the bridge, and both Twilight's and the Equestrian Doctor dropped out of one, Sunset from the other. "Oh, look, the gang's all here." Omega said, "I'll bet you never saw this one coming!" Omega pulled a lever on the console, and something was launched toward the sun. "What did you do?" The Doctor asked, stepping toward Omega, getting in his face. "Watch and find out." Omega replied. Everyone starred at the view screen on the wall, and watched as the item hit the sun, which began to shine brightly, then started to darken. "Trilithuim," Omega said, "A chemical that, if launched into a solar mass, will cause it to die. After a few minutes, the sun will explode into a supernova, destroying both Earth, and Gaea!" "What have you done?!" The Doctor shouted. "This was the backup plan." Omega said, "If my first plan failed, this would happen." Omega smiled. Everyone stared at Omega, with both fear and dread. "EXTERMINATE!!!" And a laser bolt hit Omega in the back, causing him to topple down, lifeless. The Doctor looked up, and saw Twilight standing there, holding a Dalek's weapon. "Nice Dalek impression." Princess Twilight complimented. "I thought it was fitting." Twilight replied. "Okay, we need to stop the sun from exploding!" The Doctor shouted, turning toward the console. "We also need to return the planets to normal." The Equestrian Doctor said, limping toward the console. "One problem at a time." The Doctor scoffed. "What can we do?" Sunset asked. "Well," the Doctor began, "and this is just a theory, if we send a TARDIS into the sun, the temporal energy should cause it to revert back to normal. But, like I said, that's just a theory." "A time theory!" the Equestrian Doctor said cheerfully." "Oh, shut up." The Doctor scoffed. "But what will happen to the TARDIS?" Princess Twilight asked. "Well, the temporal energy will seep out of it, causing the sun to revert, so it's power will basically be drained, and it will burn up inside the sun." "So, whose TARDIS so we use?" Sunset asked. "This one." the Equestrian Doctor explained, "We're sitting in a TARDIS right now, if we can send it into the sun, not only will it revert the sun back to normal, it will also put the planets back to normal!" "How?" Twilight asked. "Oh, that's brilliant!" The Doctor shouted, "The planets are being held in place by this TARDIS, if we destroy it, we'll snap the cable holding them together, returning them to normal!" "Exactly!" The Equestrian Doctor said, then staggered in pain. "You okay?" The Doctor asked. "Shot by a Dalek." the Equestrian Doctor explained, "I'll regenerate soon, I'm holding the energy back for now." "Oh, fun." the Doctor replied. "Alright, let's set this thing on a collision course!" The Doctor pressed several buttons on the console, and then a short-circuiting noise was heard. "No... No no no no no no no!!!" "What is it?" Sunset asked. "The storm drive..." the Doctor explained, "Without the storm drive activated, the engines don't work, we can't even dematerialize. We needed to deactivate it to get Omega's attention, and stop him, but we might have caused our own demise." "Can't we just reactivate it?" Twilight asked. "Take too long." the Equestrian Doctor replied. "What does this mean?" Sunset asked. "We still have to destroy this TARDIS." the Doctor said, "It'd just be smart to send it into the sun. But... one of our TARDIS's must tow this TARDIS into the sun. And... once we send it in there, there's very little chance it'd be able to get out in time." "So... what do we do?" Princess Twilight asked. They stood in silence for several seconds, before the Equestrian Doctor spoke, "You three will get into his TARDIS, and leave now." "What?" the Doctor asked. The Doctor's duplicate started pushing the other's toward the TARDIS's. "You four will leave, and I'll tow this TARDIS into the sun, and fix everything." "But, you'll die." the Doctor said, stopping at his TARDIS. "I'm dying anyway." the Equestrian Doctor replied, "So I won't get to the next one, oh well." The Equestrian Doctor pushed his friends into the Doctor's TARDIS before walking into his own, and both TARDIS's dematerialized, and rematerialized outside of Omega's TARDIS. The Doctor opened up a communication patch, and said to the Equestrian Doctor, "You probably won't survive this, you know that?" "Of course I do," the Equestrian Doctor replied, "but, I knew my time was coming. It was going to happen soon, and there wasn't much I could do about it. And, there's something I wanted to say." His TARDIS maneuvered over to in front of Omega's TARDIS, and both began slowly moving toward the darkening sun. "And what was that?" the Doctor asked. "I didn't want to go," the Equestrian Doctor said, "But, after all this, I'm ready to. Thank you for making my last adventure a meaningful one. Thank you." "You're very welcome." The Doctor replied. The Equestrian Doctor took one final look around his TARDIS. After all, it was the last time he'd see it with these eyes. Possibly with any eyes. He stepped in front of the console, and gazed at the view monitor. He was roughly a minute from the sun. He stepped around the console, and looked at the door. He gazed down at his hand in front of him. It was glowing, and energy was starting to seep from it quicker, and quicker. He looked up, and faced the TARDIS wall, as if there was someone standing there. And, as the energy began to seep from his neck up, he chuckled, and muttered, "Allons-y...." He inhaled sharply, and his arms and legs extended, as golden energy seeped out of them at a massive rate. The TARDIS entered the sun, and it's windows exploded, and the interior caught fire in certain places. It shook violently, and part of the supportive structure fell apart, smashing onto the ground. As the TARDIS roared and shook, and as the regeneration energy started to fade, the Doctor screamed. "AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The energy vanished, and the new Doctor stood there. The TARDIS suffered a massive jolt, and the Doctor whirled around, and looked down. "Legs! I've still got legs!" His kissed his left leg. "Good!" He felt his arms. "Oh, arms, hands! Ooh! Fingers, lots of fingers!" He grabbed his ears, "Ears: Yes. Eyes: Two. Nose? I've had worse... Chin!" -he felt his chin- "Blimey... hair!" He ran his hand through his hair, and felt the length of it. "I'm a girl! No!" -he grabbed his throat, and his voice got deeper- "No... I'm not a girl." He pulled his bangs down in front of his face, "Oh, and still not ginger!" He began tapping the side of his head. "But, I'm forgetting something important... I'm... I'm I'm I'm..." the TARDIS shook violently, and he grabbed onto the console, and laughed. "Ha! Exploding!" The New Doctor maneuvered around to the console monitor, and stared at it. "Let's see.... the revert hasn't started yet, so..." He adjusted the scanner, "Ah! A black hole! Chances of survival, limited, but hey! What's life without risk?!" He maneuvered the TARDIS into the slightly forming black hole. "Ah! Ah ha ha!" The TARDIS entered the black hole, and the Doctor shouted gleefully, "GERONIMOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" "It looks like a black hole is forming..." the Doctor said, "It'll be short lived... Oh, there it goes." The Doctor looked up, and sun emitted a solar flare, and it began to return to normal. "And, Gaea and Earth..." the Doctor adjusted the scanner, and looked at the planet. "Girls, come here." The Doctor motioned the three girls to come over and look at the monitor. On it, the planet looked to be vibrating. There was a bright flash of light, and Earth remained. "Let's see..." the Doctor pressed a few buttons. "And Gaea has returned to it's exact space-time coordinates!" "He did it..." Sunset said. "He did." Twilight replied. The Doctor looked at his three companions. "It's okay. He died with success, and he died happy. We won't forget him." "No, we won't." Princess Twilight confirmed, nodding. "Now then, let's get you all home, then, huh?" the Doctor suggested. "Oh, yes please." Twilight said. "Thank you." Sunset said. "Yeah, let's go home." Princess Twilight said. "Alright." the Doctor said, nodding. "Home it is." The Doctor smiled, and pulled a lever at the console, and the TARDIS began shaking and wheezing. > The Adventure Never Ends... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The TARDIS dematerialized in Canterlot, and as it's four occupants exited, several pony clean up crews were busy at work. "Twilight!" Five voices shouted, and Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Applejack all ran up and hugged Princess Twilight. "Oh, I've missed all of you!" Princess Twilight said, hugging the other five. The Doctor smiled. "This is where we part ways." He said, catching the Princess off guard. "What?" She asked, breaking off from the other five. "It's time I leave you, again." the Doctor explained, "After all this, you need to spend time with your friends. It's time you forget this silly old Time-Lord, and move on." "But..." Princess Twilight stuttered, tears beginning to emerge from her eyes, "Will I ever see you again?" "It's possible, but unlikely." the Doctor said, "But, it's still possible. So, keep an eye out." Twilight sobbed, and hugged the Doctor. "I'll never forget you." "Nor I you." the Doctor said, letting go of the pony princess. "After all, a world inhabited by Technicolor horses with wings and horns? That's difficult to forget." The Doctor chuckled, and smiled slightly. Noticing Twilight's apparent sadness he said, "Oh, chin up. You'll see me again. But, right now, you have your own journey to continue, without me. And, besides, you have these five? So what's to worry about?" The five friends swarmed the Princess of Friendship, all grinning. Twilight turned toward the Doctor and said, "Thank you. Thank you for all these wonderful things, and everything you've shown me." "It's been my honor." the Doctor said, smiling. "Now, go on. I have a feeling there's a lot of people who'll want to see you after this tragedy." Twilight smiled, and whipped the tears from her eyes. She turned around slowly, and trotted off, her five friends on her tail. The Doctor turned, and entered the TARDIS, Twilight and Sunset on his tail. "Alright then, time to get you home!" The Doctor said cheerfully, and started pressing buttons on the TARDIS console, as it took off. "Twilight, have you ever considered enrolling at Canterlot High?" Twilight adjusted her glasses and said, "No, I haven't, why?" "Oh, no reason." the Doctor explained, moving around the console, "Just thought it might do you some good, that's all." Sunset raised an eyebrow. "Some good?" The TARDIS sound stopped, and the Doctor looked down, and sighed. "Twilight killed Omega." "You say that like it's a bad thing." Twilight said. "It's a bad thing, it's a very bad thing." the Doctor said, looking up. "You killed someone. Once you do that, you'll never be the same." "I feel fine." Twilight said. "You do now." the Doctor said, "But, if you continue down that path, it will destroy you. Canterlot High is a good place. I think transferring there would be a smart move." He smiled slightly, and walked down to the TARDIS doors, and opened them. "Oh, would you look at that!" "What?" Sunset asked, walking outside. They were at Canterlot High, and it looked as if the disaster never happened. The streets were clean, and the sun was bright. "The sun is shining." the Doctor said, looking up, his hands in his pockets. "Brand new sun." "Sunset!" five voices shouted, as the human versions of Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity came running up. "Oh, deja vu." the Doctor mumbled, as the five hugged Sunset. "Oh, we were so worried." Applejack said, whipping a tear from her eye. "I'm fine, but I was wondering something." Sunset said, breaking away from the five. "And, what might that be, darling?" Rarity asked. "Would any of you have an issue if Twilight transferred to CHS?" Sunset asked, gesturing to Twilight. Twilight blushed. "If you'll have me..." The girls smiled, and Applejack walked up, and placed her hands on Twilight's shoulders. "Of course sugarcube, we'd be happy to have you." "After all, Princess Twilight can't be here all the time, might as well have the next best thing, right?" Rainbow Dash said, cheerfully. "Thank you," Twilight said, adjusting her glasses, "but, I want you to know, I'm not her. Princess Twilight, I mean. I'll transfer here, but as me, not her." "Darling, I think it's safe to say that we'll accept you for who you are." Rarity said, "Similar characteristics may be present, but you're certainly not the same person." "Thank you." Twilight said, and wiped tears from her eyes. "And, we can begin by having a slumber party!" Pinkie Pie said, cheerfully. "Do you like animals?" Fluttershy asked. "Well, I have a pet dog." Twilight replied. "Oh, maybe you could help at the animal shelter some time?" Fluttershy asked, her eyes seeming to bulge. Not even the most stubborn person could say no to that look. "I'd be happy to help out." Twilight said, smiling. The girls started to walk away, but Sunset and Twilight looked back, and the Doctor was leaning against his TARDIS, his hands in his pockets, wearing a fresh blue suit, with a white shirt and red tie with a floral pattern, wearing his brown overcoat as well. His face was no longer covered in soot and ash, and he looked at them, with a face that would've made a perfect poker face. Sunset and Twilight walked up toward him. "You changed your suit, and took a shower." Sunset said surprised, "We were talking for five minutes, at most." "You'd be surprised the things you can get done in five minutes." the Doctor said, smiling. "Is this good bye?" Twilight asked. "For now." the Doctor said, "But, I'll see you again. I'll pop in now and again. You'll see more of me." "We'd better." Sunset said, "We haven't seen enough of you, there has to be some more adventures coming up." "Just, keep an eye open, okay?" the Doctor said, "After all, Sunset Shimmer, you of all people know the journey never ends. It's the end for this particular song, but another one is starting. Yours is. Make it a good one. And, you will definitely see me again. That's a promise." The Doctor smiled, and entered his TARDIS, and it warped away, into space and time. "He gone?" Rainbow Dash asked, as her and the rest of the girls walked up beside the others. "For now." Sunset said. "Who's up for a slumber party?!" Pinkie Pie shouted, cheerfully. "I call dibs on the bed." Sunset said. "I call the laptop." Twilight said. And, as the girls talked endlessly about their plans, the Doctor looked on from his TARDIS. He may be alone, but there were still people out there, and planets to explore. Who knew what was around the corner. The Adventure, never will end.
