> The True Magic of Friendship > by Budder33125 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The True Magic of Friendship > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi. My name is Star Fire. I am a unicorn from Canterlot. I have yellow fur, fiery mane with a hairstyle similar to Rainbow Dash's, and fire-colored eyes. I rarely saw the princesses when I was a filly, but I always loved to see them. When I was a filly, I would always hear about this filly named Twilight Sparkle who was accepted as Princess Celestia's student. I wanted to be like her. I wanted to be special. The truth is, nobody ever thought of me as special until I met true friends. I have come here to tell you my story. The story of how I met my very best friends. When I first came to school, there was a unicorn named Glitter Glam. She had pink fur, pink and purple fluffy mane, and violet eyes. She was the most popular of all the fillies in the school and also was the first filly to get her cutie mark in the class. "Ok, new filly. You have a choice between joining us popular fillies..." Glitter Glam said with a warm smile. "Or the losers." Glitter Glam finished, frowning. "Can I think about it for a day please?" I asked politely. "Of course you can!" Glitter Glam said warmly. I watched as the so called "losers" played a card game together that day. There was a female pegasus filly with pink fur, fuschia, straight mane, and green eyes. There was a female unicorn filly with sky blue fur, blueberry, wavy mane, and also with green eyes. Last, there was a male cactus green earth filly, with lime green, short mane, and brown eyes. "Ha! My Reshiram will destroy your weedle, Cactus!" the pink pegasus yelled jubilantly at the green filly. "But I will destroy you with my Zekrom, Pink Heart!" Cactus replied to the pink filly. The two fillies turned to the blue filly. "What do you think, Berry?" they asked in unison. "I don't know. Reshiram and Zekrom have the same amount of health. They also do the same amount of damage." Berry replied. Suddenly, Glitter Glam walked up to the three fillies. "Ugh. You blank flanks are playing with those hoofing Ponymons again?" Glitter Glam said irritated as the cards were surrounded in a violet aura and levitated into the air. "Hey! Give them back!" Cactus yelled. "Yeah, give them back!" Pink Heart and Berry shouted in unison. "Stop! That's not nice!" I finally yelled, the fiery aura of my magic surrounding the cards. Glitter Glam looked at me disgusted. "So you decided to become a loser." she said annoyed. I backed away, my side of fear coming back to me. I flattened my ears and regretted doing what I did. "Just what I thought." Glitter Glam said with a smirk. Soon, the cards were wrapped in a violet aura again and became ashes. The three fillies gasped. "It was for your own good." Glitter Glam simply said as she walked away. I gathered up my courage walked up to the three sobbing fillies. "Don't worry. I'll try to make you new ones." I soothed with a smile. The ashes were wrapped in my magical aura and gradually transformed into the playing cards they used to be. "They might not be exactly how they were minutes ago, but I tried my best." I whispered, giving the fillies the cards with my magic. "Wow, you're good at magic! Thank you so much new filly!" Pink Heart exclaimed with a huge grin. The other fillies grinned happily. For months, I hung out and played with the 'losers'. I even called them my bests friends. We were bullied many times by Glitter Glam and her followers, but Pink Heart, Berry, Cactus, and I still got through. In lunch, we always sat in where everyone called the 'loser' table. Sometimes, our lunch was taken by Glitter Glam. When she took our lunch, we simply just wouldn't eat. We knew that if we got lunch again. Glitter Glam would come back and steal it again. One day, we got sick of Glitter Glam and decided to tell our teacher about her. When every pony ran to the lunch room, we walked up to our teacher's desk. "Mrs. Glam?" I asked. "Yes?" Mrs. Glam asked kindly. "May we talk to you?" Berry asked. "Why, of course, little fillies." Mrs. Glam replied. "Well..." Pink Heart, Berry, and Cactus said nervously. Mrs. Glam waited, looking like she was losing her patience. "Glitter Glam is being mean to us and kind of... Bullying us." I finally said. Mrs. Glam looked at us in surprise. "Glitter Glam?! Never! You fillies are lying! She is good! She would never do that!" Mrs. Glam burst out angrily. The four of us were sent to eat lunch. When we came back, each of us had to stand in one corner of the room. We knew that Mrs. Glam wouldn't believe us. After all, Mrs. Glam was Glitter Glam's mother. Mrs. Glam always thought of her daughter as a perfect, innocent child. If only Mrs. Glam knew how wrong she was. I still hung out in the 'loser' group. We were still bullied and everything was still the same. For some reason, I felt like I really just wasn't connected to the 'loser' group anymore. They were still my good friends, but they just didn't feel like best friends. One day, I met an earth filly with white fur, straight, carnation pink mane, and mint green eyes. Her name was Fashion Passion. She loved fashion and was pretty bossy. I decided to become friends with her. When I played games with her, I found them boring. All she wanted to do was either sit around all day and watch boring television shows or make dresses that in my opinion, looked awful. We would occasionally walk around the neighborhood. When we did this, she was always texting on her phone. One day, we walked past a house and saw three ponies playing. I stopped and looked at them. There was a unicorn, and two pegasi. "What are you doing? Let's go." Fashion Passion said, grabbing my hoof. "Wait." I replied. Fashion Passion grumbled and went back to texting. "I won the Hunger Games!" the pegasus that looked like the oldest yelled jubilantly. "No fair! You cheated!" the unicorn that looked like the youngest whined. The pegasus that looked like the middle grinned mischeivously. She flew towards the oldest and pushed her. "No! When I die! You die! You go down with me!" the oldest yelled. The oldest sister of the fillies grabbed the middle and pulled her down to the grass. They both fell to the grass laughing. The youngest of the sisters smiled. "I won the Hunger Games!" the youngest yelled triumphantly. I smiled at the thought of having sisters that were your best friends. I decided to look at the features of the three sisters. The youngest, which was a unicorn, had yellow fur, wavy and short lime green, berry blue, and golden yellow mane, and lime green eyes. The middle, which was a pegasus, had amethyst fur, wavy and long, violet and purple mane, and purple eyes. The oldest, which was a pegasus, had turquoise fur, a hairstyle similar to Rarity's that was white and indigo, and aqua eyes. The youngest was named Sapphire Shimmer. The middle was named Crystal Shine. The oldest was named Diamond Shine. The three sisters turned towards me. I started to panic in my mind. I didn't know what to do. "Hi?" the three sisters said in unison. "Uh...Hi. I'm sorry I was watching you I'll be-" I was cut off. "Leaving? Yes! We'll be leaving! Finally!" Fashion Passion interrupted. Fashion Passion grabbed me by my hoof and forced me to walk away. When we reached the next block, she let go of my hoof. "What were you thinking?" Fashion Passion asked angrily. "What's wrong with them?" I asked. "They are the worst ponies to ever exist!" Fashion Passion told me, raising her voice. "What did they ever do to you?" I questioned. Fashion Passion sighed and stayed silent. For the rest of the walk, Fashion Passion wouldn't talk to me at all. After the walk, Fashion Passion said goodbye to me and went inside her house. I checked to see if she was watching me through her window. She wasn't. I walked up to the three sisters' house. They were still playing in their yard. They turned towards me again. "Um... Are you here to like, play with us?" Sapphire Shimmer asked nervously. "Sure?" I replied. "Then get your flank over here!" Crystal Shine joked, opening the gate to her yard. I giggled and the three sisters did the same. Soon, the three sisters became my best friends. We played every day and we supported each other in our good and bad times. We were always there for each other, no matter what. "Hunger Games! I wanna win. I win it all. I wanna win all day. I'm not teaming. I'm not teaming! You should of learnt how to play! Yes I win it all. So I win it all. I wanna win all day! I'm not teaming. I'm not teaming! You should of seen my last Hunger Games!" Diamond Shine sang. I smiled and sang along. Later, the four of us decided to go play outside. Diamond Shine and Crystal Shine flew at rapid speeds and did many loops. "Woah, you ponies are awesome at flying! Are you going to be Wonderbolts?" I said in amazement. "Well, I want to join the Wonderbolts." Diamond Shine replied. "Me too. I hope that we'll someday become faster than Rainbow Dash." Crystal Shine said. "Can you get down here to the ground so I can troll you?" Sapphire Shimmer exclaimed, a sly look on her face. Diamond Shine and Crystal Shine flew down. "Well?" Diamond Shine asked, expecting to be soaked in water. "What? Nothing. I just wanted to make you come here." Sapphire Shimmer replied. "Um.. Can I ask you ponies a question?" I asked. "Sure!" Crystal Shine exclaimed. "What did you do to Fashion Passion to make her hate you?" I questioned. "Nothing." Crystal Shine plainly replied. The sun was setting and I had to go home. "Time for me to go! See you tomorrow!" I exclaimed, running to my home. "Bye! See you tomorrow!" the three sisters yelled in unison. When I got home, I went to my room and looked at the night sky. I thought it was beautiful. I loved how the moon and stars shined brightly and illuminated the night sky. "Star Fire! There's a letter for you!" my mother yelled from the living room. I ran to the living room and picked up the letter. I started to read. Dear Star Fire, I thank you for coming to the meeting I set up for both of us. I stopped reading. I remembered the meeting. Princess Luna and I were talking about the night sky. I told her how beautiful I thought it was and how I loved to observe it every night. Princess Luna's horn glowed and she smiled at me. In an instant, we were teleported to the moon. My eyes filled with wonder. She told me how the stars and moon were formed. She told me about her dark past. I was very interested in her. When she told me the story of Nightmare Moon, I suddenly hugged her. I backed away and told her I was sorry, but she smiled and put her wing on my back. In the end of the meeting, Princess Luna gave me a star. She simply plucked it from the sky and gave it to me. I was filled with excitement and hugged her. I still have the star today. She teleported us back to my home and told me to look at my flank. I looked and my heart was filled with joy. I had my cutie mark! It was a star that was covered in fire. Princess Luna told me that I represented the stars in the night sky. My face was filled with delight. Princess Luna smiled and teleported to Canterlot. After that day, my love for the princess of the night became bigger. She became my favorite princess. I will never forget that day. I continued reading. I have selected you to be my student. I screamed in excitement. My mother gave me a congratulating look. I read on. You will be moving to Canterlot tomorrow. Thank you. Your princess of the night, Princess Luna. My hear shattered. I would be leaving my best friends to become Princess Luna's student. How would I break the news to my best friends? The next day, I had all my belongings packed and walked up to my best friends' house. Tears slid down my face as I told my friends about the letter and that I was moving. They all hugged me and gave me presents. I also gave them presents. I said my final goodbyes and walked to the train station with my mother. My mother and father kissed me on my head and sent me to Canterlot on the train. When I got to Canterlot, Princess Luna was waiting for me, a warm smile spread across her face. She levitated my belongings for me and teleported us to Canterlot Castle. She noticed my sad face. "What troubles you?" Princess Luna asked. I told Princess Luna everything that had happened and how I missed my friends. "Don't worry. You will see your friends every once in a while." Princess Luna said with a warm smile. I learned many new spells and learned many new things about Princess Luna. What she said was true, I did get to be reunited with my best friends every once in a while. Every time I visited them, there were tears of joy running down my face. Princess Luna became one of my best friends, but I will always have a special bond with the three sisters, Sapphire Shimmer, Crystal Shine, and Diamond Shine. They have changed my life and helped me understand what true friendship is. I am no longer the lonely pony I was before. Sapphire Shimmer, Crystal Shine, and Diamond Shine, will always be my true very best friends.
