Rarity grunted as she pushed the large Grand Piano across the lush green front lawn of Canterlot High, wincing back at how unladylike she was acting. She had chosen the Grand Piano because it was elegant and refined, just like herself. "Oh, this is simply dreadful! How will I ever get this to practice, let alone my hair is such a mess!" she said, looking around for someone to help. She spotted a group of boys digging on the school grounds, two tall and one short, digging furiously with nothing but their bare hands. One looked around and his eyes set on Rarity. "That girl looks strong, pushing big piano!" the leader of the pack said, pointing to Rarity as she kept trying to push the heavy piano. "Yes, yes!" another of the taller boys said, running towards her. "Eek!" Rarity screamed as the boy grabbed her and carried her on his shoulder over to the small hole. He dropped her on the ground in front of the other two boys. "Hello, girl. I am Alpha. We saw you pushing Grand Piano and want you to dig us up GEMS!!!!" Alpha shouted, handing Rarity a large shovel covered in mud. She held on to it with two fingers, so as not to ruin her perfect pedicure. "Eh! Oh!" she squeaked as she poked at the ground with her shovel, not wanting to ruin her pedicure. "Dig, girl! Dig faster!" the shorter boy, known as Spot, yelled at Rarity. "I am sorry, but if you do not like my style of digging you shall have to find someone else." she said, dropping the shovel, "Ok, we won't ruin your precious pretty pedi. You will search with this gem detector." Alpha said, handing Rarity a surprisingly clean looking contraption. "Well, if you insist, but I must say, the working conditions you have here are simply dreadful." Rarity said as she found a few gems, one of the boys racing to dig it up. "And what is that awful smell? Have you never heard of soap? You all could use a good round of soap and water!" Rarity continued. Curious, Alpha sniffed himself, shrinking back at the horrible smell, as did the other boys. "Ugh! Be quiet girl!" Spot yelled. The boys were on the last straw. "And I would appreciate it if you'd stop calling me girl. I am a lady, and wish to be addressed as such. So you may call me Rarity, or Miss, or Miss Rarity." she finished. "Stop your whining! It hurts!" Alpha yelled pulling at his ears. "I am not whining." Rarity said pointedly, "I am complaining. Would you like to hear whining?" "Uhh..." Alpha said, clearly confused as to what this strange girl meant. "This is whining!" Rarity whined, her voice squeaking as she tried as best as she could in order to annoy them. "This air is too musky, my hair will be ruined! This is so dirty and heavy! Why do I hafta pull it!?" Rarity continued in as annoying a voice as she could bring herself to use. "Ugh, stop! Those noises!" Alpha said. "But I though you WANTED whining!?" Rarity asked, still whining, pounding her fists on the ground. "Please, we'll do anything!" Alpha pleaded in desperation. "Anything?" Rarity said, dropping her whining instantly. "Yes girl- I mean, Miss Rarity." Alpha said, relived, correcting himself. He didn't want any more whining today. Alpha didn't think that he would ever have to carry a piano, albeit with the other boys' help, all the way across campus. But here he was, and to make it worse, Rarity was on top. "Thank you ever so much, boys!" Rarity said from atop the sleek piano. "Your'e welcome!" Alpha grunted from under the piano. They came upon a large crowd of students. The boys decided to do the thing the did best: dig. They crashed through the crowd. "Excuse me! Pardon us! Dreadfully sorry!" Rarity shouted as the boys pushed people out of the way. They reached the practice room as the girls inside complained. "Ugh, what's taking her so long?!" Rainbow dash said, raising her arms in despair. "She probably just wans ya make some sorta grand entrance!" Applejack said sarcastically. "Ta-Da!" Rarity shouted as she burst through the door. "Told ya!" Applejack said smugly, Dash rolling her eyes. "Thank you boys!" Rarity said, handing each of the boys a gem from her hair clip, as the boys were a big help. They walked out, blushing. Just then, a purple glow lot up the room. A keytar lay in the corner, and it had a purple, diamond shaped gem in in: the element of generosity. The Elements of Harmony had counterparts in the human world: when the Element of Magic had been brought there, it sparked 5 gemstones that spread across the high school, jumping around from object to object. "Rarity, it's a bit, uhh.. BIG." Dash commented. "We need to move it a lot, and the boys won't do it again, I'm sure." "Ooh ooh ooh! I have an idea! You can use this!" Pinkie Pie said, holding up the keytar with the purple, diamond-shaped gem on the side of the keyboard part. It was cyan, with a dark blue strap covered with gems. Rarity pressed a few of the keys, but instead of a syth-like sound that most keytars had, it sounded like an actual Grand Piano! "Oh!" Rarity said in surprise as she started to play beautifully. She glowed as she levitated up into the sky. The Element of Harmony glowed, due to her earlier act of Generosity, and she ponied up, but in addition to her long hair and pony ears, a unicorn's horn appeared on her forehead as she bounced in the air, playing a pop melody, but it had an elegant feel due to the Grand Piano sound. "Wow..." Fluttershy whispered, her eyes sparkling. "Nahs!" Applejack said, giving her a thumbs up. "I guess this'll be my instrument! It may not look elegant, but it sounds elegant." Rarity said, winking at her friends, as they started to practice.
