Fix the door

Twilight stood in front of her front door while she examined it. She had noticed as of lately that it didn't work properly. In fact, there was many things wrong with it. The paint on it had faded, the hinges squeaked loudly whenever it moved, it left scratch-marks on the floor, and the door sometimes got stuck. It had gotten to the point where Twilight decided to do something about it, but she couldn't do it at the time. She had to run down to the book store to pick up a new shipment of books to re-stock the library. Only a sort moment passed before she thought about asking Spike to fix it for her. Then she remembered the last time she asked Spike to fix something. It took three months to put out all the fires that happened last time. Twilight pushed aside that thought when she realized that all she was going to ask him to do was to fix a door. Nothing too harmful could come from that, it wouldn't be like last time.

The purple mare walked over to Spike and asked with minor caution: "Hey Spike, could you fix the front door for me while I go to pick up some books?"

Spike looked at her and replied in an enthusiastic voice: "I'll make it better than ever!"

"NO! I just need you to fix it. There should be a book or something that can tell you how to fix it somewhere in this library."

She then noticed the time and ran off to get the books. Spike was left all alone with a single task. All he needed to do was to fix a door, simple enough. The little dragon walked over to the door to inspect it. He did notice some problems with it, but he had no idea how to fix them. So, instead of looking through the library for a book to tell him how to fix it, he wandered off in the direction of the ruined castle.

It was the same as ever. Nothing at all seemed to have changed since the last time he was here. Spike searched throughout the castle. He checked every little corner and hallway for something to help him. Then a thought hit him: Why did I come here? An answer followed afterwards that I am too lazy to come up with. After more time of tedious searching that would drive a sane person crazy, he stumbled upon a sealed room. The door leading to the room was boarded up with with signs all over it in illegible writing. Spike wondered how he would get it open until remembered something Twilight told him once.

He exclaimed with joy: "AH! Twilight told me I should use my head more often! That is how I will get this opened!" After saying that he thrusted his head forwards into the door. He did this again, and again, and again. Luckily, his ignorance prevented him from feeling any initial pain, but it was agonizing once it finally hit him. Eventually, he bashed a hole throughout the door that he could get through.

The room was dimly lit with only a very small skylight as a means of illumination. The walls had ancient writings all over them in a dead language. Spike didn't realize this fact until after a half an hour of trying to figure out what the first word was. He also noticed that the floor was covered in evil looking symbols that were painted in both blood and pony bile. In the center stood a small podium made out of bones and rotting flesh. Spike walked up to it and noticed that there were two books resting on top of it. The first was a tome with the title: Evil satanic rituals for dummies, by Celestia the princes. He instantly threw that once away and studied the other book. It was completely black with only a crudely drawn picture of a demon on the front. Spike, in a stroke of stupidity, opened the book and released a demon.

As it rose from the pages of the book, it yelled: "FREEDOM AT LAST! HA! HA! HA!" He had a very deep voice that sounded like multiple ponies were talking at once. After some more laughter the demon looked down at the baby dragon and said: "You are the one who released me from my eternal prison... Good job!" He gave a tubs up to Spike. "I am now at your service, but at a cost. For ever task you make me do, you need to sacrifice something of great importance in my name, but the first one is free."

"And what is your name?" Spike asked the giant being that towered above him.

"My name is: Togaf Gib!"

"Isin't that Big Fa-" Before Spike could finish, the demon yelled in pure rage and lit the floor on fire. Unfortunetly for the demon, Spike wasn't able to feel any pain due to the fact that he is a dragon. "Anyways, I already have a job for you to do."

"Excellent, and what might this task be for me to do?"

"I want you to fix the front door to my home." Togaf stared blankly at him for a minute while his brain tried to process what was just said.

Togaf replied weakly: "You... you want me to repair a door... did I hear you correctly?"

"Yes!"

"I have near limitless power... and you want me to fix a door..."

"That is what I said."

Togaf threw his arms up into the air and yelled at the sky in intense anger: "OH DEAR PAINFUL DEATH! I WAS RELEASED BY AN IDIOT!" He continued to scream at the sky while Spike dragged the demon back home.

It took Spike a long time, but he managed to drag the large being to his house. Also, the screaming stopped, but then the citizens started screaming at the sight of the demon.

Once at the house, Spike said to the demon: "That is the door that needs to be fixed." He pointed at the front door that was still in the same condition. Togaf got up off the ground and looked at the door.

"That's the door? Seriously..." Togaf replied in an irritated tone. "You know what? I'm not going to do it! If you have something else for me to do, I'll be in your kitchen." The large demon started walking to the kitchen, but he was interrupted by Spike.

"WHAT! I dragged you all the way here just so you can tell me that you won't do it!"

"That's right. do you got any chips?" Togaf was going through the pantry while Spike just stood there being angry at him.

"Why don't you just leave if your not going to help me?"

"I have to do something for you before I am allowed to rome this planet and reek havoc."

"Well, The only job I have for you is to fix this door." The baby dragon pointed at the door again.

"Still... I'm not wasting my powers on that, and that means I'm going to stay here."

"Just don't do anything bad while your in here."

"Fine, but your going to go get more food after I'm done." Togaf continued to go through the selection of available food while Spike was stuck with fixing the door.

He looked over it to determine what he should do first. Suddenly, a thought popped into his mind. Spike slammed his head into the door similar to what he did last time he was confronted with a door. All this accomplished was busting off one of the door hinges, and a large crack formed on the door.

"OH, I know what I need to do!" Spike announced loudly with joy.

"No you don't, your too stupid to know what to do." Togaf replied with a mouthful of sandwiches.

"I need to take the door out of the door frame. Then I will be able to do the necessary fixes!"

"Hold on one moment... I need to see this." The demon walked out of the kitchen with the fridge under his arm. He sat down on the center table and continued to eat. "You can continue now."

"Are you going to put that back?"

"Don't you have a door to fix?"

Spike turned back to his work. He had no idea how to do that though. The baby dragon once again, returned to his flawless method of smashing his head against the door until something happened. Finally, the other hinge broke off, but the door remained in the same spot. Apparently, the door was stuck in the door frame again. There was only one thing to do in this situation. Spike backed up a few steps and charged strait at the door. once he built up enough momentum, he lunged at the door in an attempt to nock it down. Togaf laughed when the dragon smacked against the door.

"I. Ha, Ha. I think... I think you need to do that some more. It really looks like your getting it. HA, HA!" Togaf gib said to spike while he was laughing.

"Don't you think I already know that?" This only made Togaf laugh even harder. Spike continued this process of him slamming into the door, and Togaf laughing at it for a while until something actually happened. Eventually, Spike's technique managed to knock down the door, but Spike's bad luck caused the door to fall on top of somepony. The baby dragon ran to the pony unto the door and dragged her out. It was Twilight Sparkle. Spike crushed Twilight under the door and he managed to knock he out in the process. Togaf was now rolling on the floor while laughing from Spike's misfortune.

After Spike managed to carry Twilight to the hospital to have her tended to, he returned to his duty of fixing the door. The baby dragon dragged the door back inside when Togaf finished laughing.

The demon looked at Spike and asked: "Shouldn't you make sure that pony didn't die?"

"She will be fine. Twilight survived a lot worse without a single scratch." Spike replied.

"If you say so."

"If you will excuse me. I need to get back to my job." Spike looked down at the door and thought about what he should do. Before Spike could do anything, he had to sneeze. The baby dragon let out a huge sneeze which also released his magical flames. The intense fire burned the door to a crisp.

Princes Celestia was finishing up another book when a message was about to arrive. The book she was working on was about blood sacrifices. She looked up and saw the mist forming above her.

"Oh, Twilight sent me a letter. It has been a while since the last one." Celestia said to herself as the mist condensed into solid matter. Without any warning, Celestia was covered in wood ash and dragon snot. Once she realized what she was covered in, she vomited on the floor.

"Twilight. I'm going to get back at you for this!"

Spike could only stare at the wood door which was now just a burnt block of wood. Once he accepted what just happened, he had to come up with what do do now.

"Where is the adult section of this library?" Togaf gib said while he stepped onto of the door. His weight caused the burned door crumble into a million pieces. Spike groaned and pointed at the closed door near the back of the library. "Don't open that door once I go in there. I'm going to need some time."

"Don't talk about it. Just do it, clean it up, and don't say anything about it."

"Hey, I wasn't going to do that, I was just gong to read a book."

"Oh..."
