A new blast core, a new adventure.
"Cole, c'mon fire up the new blast core you got".
"Ok, fine" I told Zeke, my best friend.
My name is Cole McGrath, and I have supernatural powers you can only dream of. I have a special gene call a conduit gene, and that's what gives me my powers. I activated this thing called the Ray Sphere, an orb that takes energy and activates the conduit gene so few of us have. I was gifted with the powers of electricity. I am prophesied to defeat this thing called the beast, a being of pure energy that destroys everything in its path. But, to fight him I must become stronger. And one of the few ways I can become stronger is to absorb blast cores. I took the blast core out of my pocket, and it started vibrating with energy as soon as it came into contact with my hand.
"Half as long" my friend Zeke told me.
"Twice as bright" I finished.
I took a deep breath, and shot a current into the blast core. I immediately felt it activate, and I felt pain all over my body. I was lifted about a foot into the air, with electricity in the air all around me, and suddenly I dropped to the ground, and fell unconscious.
"Aghhhhh, my head" I said out loud when I woke up.
I slowly opened my eyes and took a breath. When I looked at my hands and almost fainted.
"WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY HANDS" I yelled out loud, to nobody in particular.
They seemed to be just stumps. I turned around to look at my body. I resisted the urge not to scream again. I had 4 legs, and stood on all fours. I was a horse.
I took a deep breath, and studied myself some more. When I looked at the back of me, i'm pretty sure it's called a flank, I seemed to have a picture of a lightning bolt on my "flank". I actually had one on both sides. One was blue, and one was red.
"Karmas a bitch......." I told myself.
Then a thought that made me really nervous entered my head.
"Please god work" I said as I willed my hooves to make a spark.
They did. I smiled to myself. At least I still have my powers. Then I noticed a pain near my legs. There was a small gash there. I've been through worse. For the first time, I looked at my surroundings, and saw a forest. I sat there for ten minutes thinking about what to do. And then, I heard a whisper. I turned around and saw a yellow and pink pony, and it had wings.
It whispered again, and I said "What did you say?"
She spoke again in a whisper, and I asked louder. "WHAT?".
She seemed to cringe when I yelled, so I walked closer to her and spoke again, quieter this time. "What did you say?" I asked her.
She said in a barely audible whisper, "Are you ok?. I've never seen you around here."
I told her I was fine. She in exchange told me her name was Fluttershy. "I wonder how you got that name" I muttered to myself.
"You look tired, would you like to come to my cabin? I mean if you want to........" She told me. I told her that I would, and she told me to follow her.
I've never seen a ponies house before (Duh). I noticed she had a picture of butterflies on her flank. "This should be interesting" I told myself as I entered the cabin.
When I entered the cabin I saw animals everywhere. Some where normal, like a bunny she seemed to call "Angel" and some birds and such. But some where not normal at all.
Like one that seemed to be a mix between a bat and a chicken. I really didn't like the look of it. It seemed....... violent in some way. Fluttershy called it a "cockatrice". She told me to sit down.
"Where are you from?" Fluttershy asked me, seeming less shy this time.
"I'm from Empire city, and I want to get back there." Then I remembered there was no more empire city. It was destroyed by the beast.
"I've never heard of Empire city, it must be a long way from here". She said. "Ummmmm yeah, I guess it is." I told her.
"Where am I?" I asked. "Your near the Everfree forest." She answered.
"And where is that?" I asked.
"Near Ponyville" She said slowly, with a strange look on her face. "And, where is that?" I said a little louder, being nervous that i'll never get back to New Marais.
In Equestria........ She said, obviously being a unnerved around me. Ok, so I was in Equestria, some place I have never heard of, probably in the middle of nowhere.
"How did you get here?" She asked me, looking at me very strangely.
"I don't know myself" I admitted.
I just woke up here. I then realized I had a job to do. I stood up immediately very fast, and immediately regretted it as the gash on my leg forced me back down from the pain.
"Oh, you poor thing" She told me as she immediately jumped up to check out the gash.
"You must stay and let me help you" She said.
It's not like I had anywhere to go anyway. "Ok fine" I told her, but I have to figure out how to get back to empire city."
"Oh of course, maybe my friend Twilight can help you later, but right now you need to rest."
"Ok fine. It looks like i'm going to have to stay a while" I thought to myself, as the pony got a bandage and started dressing the wound.
After a few hours, I was back on my feet. I needed some alone time to test my powers. I'll go check out that "Ponyville" later. I had to check out the forest, see what I can find.
After a while, I came across a small crater. Did I do that? I walked through the forest some more. I eventually came across a cliff.
"I need to get some exersize" I thought to myself. After climbing up the small cliff, I felt a strong wind. It felt cool and refreshing.
"Lets do this" I thought to myself, as I jumped off the cliff.
I used my thrusters to glide through the air. I haven't felt this good in a long time. I saw creatures of all kinds below me. It was awe-inspiring.
After a while of sightseeing, I decided to head back. No point to stay here forever. I better go see that "Twilight" Fluttershy was talking about. Maybe she can figure out what's going on.
When I got back to Fluttershy's cabin, she was tending to all her animals.
"Wow, you really like taking care of animals, don't you?" I asked her.
"Oh their just the sweetest things in the whole world" She told me.
Back in New Marais, any animal I would touch would die, so I probably shouldn't try that here.
"Where can I find your friend, Twilight?" I asked her.
She pointed in the direction of ponyville and said "Oh, she's probably inside her house in Ponyville." She said, "It's built into a tree."
I headed out of the cabin. "I need to find a house inside a tree." I thought to myself.
This world is weird. As I headed to Ponyville, I was surprised I wasn't blinded immediately by all the bright colors. Ponies everywhere kept looking at me like I came from hell. I kind of did.
Suddenly, a pink blur zipped past me. All the ponies started to run immediately, and retreated to their homes. "OH MY GOD SHE'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I heard one pony yell. "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES" I heard others scream.
I immediately started to get nervous and started to break into a run. What the hell is that thing? Everybody seems so afraid of it.
I really don't want to find out. I started to sprint, as all the ponies on the street where gone, I suddenly saw the pink blur tackle me. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU?" I screamed as we started to roll on the ground.
"What does fuck mean?" The pink thing asked me. Ooo ooo ooo is It a place?" "Can we party there?" "Is your name fuck?" "Do you like fucks?" She said in a rapid stream of questions.
"Never mind what I said, but who are you?" I asked the pink pony. "My name is Pinkie pie. I like to throw parties. Do you like parties? Ooo ooo ooo did you come from a party?" She said.
Goddammit when does this pony stop to breath?
"I really have to go...." I said slowly. "Ok, see you around." She giggled, and then hopped away.
Well, that has to be the weirdest pony ever. I noticed a library-type of building. It was inside a tree. "Perfect" I muttered to myself as I walked up to the door. "Okay, lets do this" I thought to myself as I knocked on the door.
