It was nightfall, and the stars gleamed above in the sky over a city. It's lights, illuminated through the blackness and shone brightly. Sounds of distant metal against the cobblestone floor of the road produced a steady thump of footsteps. 2 robots went into an abandoned building not far from the city, a red and a blue one. It was a mission. These robots were called Reploids, an advanced species of robots, bound to the 3 basic robotics rules. The 2 Reploids scouted the inner sections of the building, until one of them received a transmission. The red robot had overflowing blonde hair coming out from the back of it's head. It had a Z on one of it's shoulder plates. “Zero, come in. Do you read, over.” The voice said. “Roger, Alia. What's the status of the mission?” Zero replied. “There are a vast number of Mavericks in this warehouse. Maybe about 50 or so, but the pressing issue is that there is 2 trash Mechaniloids. Take them out and return to Hunter Base.” “Over and out.”Zero said. A hand came from behind Zero, this time a blue Reploid, with a red gem on it's head. “Zero, should we go now?” Zero turned around to faced the blue Reploid. “Of course, X. Let's finish this!” Zero said, before rushing into the metallic abyss, X bounding after him. 10 minutes later. X and Zero were done with the mavericks, leaving the 2 Mechaniloids left to deal with. They both approached the shutter door when Alia buzzed in. “X, Zero, the 2 Mechaniloids, a Junker and Draco, are just behind the door. Finish the job and report back to HQ, we got something serious here.” Alia had a hint of worry, making X and Zero needing to do the job quickly. “Roger. We'll be done soon, Alia.” X said. The red and blue duo went after the door, encountering the giant Mechanilods. One of them was a Junk Mechaniloid. It towered 7 stories high, with giant green claw and an eye, transmitting a orange beam to it's head, bringing it to life. The other was a giant green dragon, ready to take out whatever it laid it's eyes on. READY? A man's came out of nowhere, but in the position X and Zero were in, they ignored it. Soon enough, the dragon charged, heading for Zero. 'Piece of cake.' Zero rolled out of the way and dashed under the dragon, making it change direction to prepare another charge. Meanwhile, the Junker tried to level itself with X, to ensure a direct hit would happen. When it charged, X dashed over it and slashed the eye controlling it with the X-Saber. The Junker quickly fell, but quickly rebooted as the eye came back, slightly damaged. The dragon came back and landed on the ground, opening it's mouth and shooting out orbs of blue energy. Zero dodged with ease and quickly did a diagonal slash from it's back, making the dragon howl in pain. X and Zero continued to dodge and hit their respective enemies, and decided they have to finish this quick; or be stuck here forever. “X! We gotta hurry this up.” Zero yelled. X nodded in silent agreement and the two stood back to back. The dragon looked beaten up to scraps and the Junker the same, but were also preparing a final attack. X charged up his Mega Buster to the peak, while Zero readied his hand for a Rekoha. The Mechaniloids charged, not knowing their immediate demise. Zero and X waited until they reached a distance and quickly released their ultimate weapon. X shot his Charged Shot, hitting the Junker dead on, and Zero slammed his hand onto the ground, multiple beams coming out of the sky and hit the dragon. It was finished. The Mechaniloids exploded into a brilliant shower of metal and circuitry and were reduced to scrap. Having successfully completed the mission, X and Zero teleported back to Hunter HQ. X and Zero walked down the corridor into the Central Control part of Hunter Base. Signas was there giving out orders to other Maverick Hunters having them scramble about. Alia, busy with communications, greeted X and Zero. “Nice job, guys. The Junker and the Draco have been eliminated from the mission catalog. That takes care of your daily mission.” X relaxed a bit while Zero yawned. “Does that mean we get to sleep now?” Zero stretched his arms, only to tense up. “Not quite. We found a portal near Hunter Base, surprisingly, about 2 kilometers north in a desolate forest.. We believe the cause of the portal is Sigma, trying to escape.” Zero deadpanned at the mention of Sigma. He slightly shuddered, because of what Sigma did to Zero. “So what do you want us to do Alia?” X said quizzically. He was prepared for another all out war because of Sigma's dimension exploring. “We want you two to go into the portal. Find what you can and report back to us.” “But, how will the Hunter Base handle without us?” The two wondered a bit until Signas broke into the conversation. “We'll do just fine. We've been getting good results from around the clock. No worries.” Signas said reassuringly. Zero and X just nodded. “Don't just stand there, get moving!” X and Zero rushed out of Hunter Base and onto their Ride Chaser and sped off. Alia sighed. “There they go again. How do they not get tired of fighting all the time?” Alia said to no one in paticular. “They do.” A sudden voice surprised her. It was Axl. “They all long for the peace of the humans and Reploids, to co-exist with each other.” Axl's sudden burst of maturity shocked Alia for a bit, but took to account the words he said. “I hope they come back soon.” The red and blue duo can be seen in the horizon, and after a few minutes, disappeared. READY? A male's voice echoed throughout the forest. “Who's voice is that? I always hear that when starting a mission...” Zero said. “Same with me too. I wonder if that's one of the communications officer.” X replied. He thought for a second of a male communication officer, and quickly dismissed it. “But they're all female, so who knows.” X and Zero stopped and thought about who it could be until a sudden sound of the trees being torn out of the Earth caught their eye. “Quick, we gotta get to the portal.” Zero said. His expression was serious and X nodded. The two quickly dashed off to find the portal, not knowing the adventures the two will have. 15 minutes later, X found the portal. It was in a tree, with a purple hue. “Well, let's go in, shall we?” X looked over to his teammate. Zero nodded, and the two dashed off into the portal. But once that happened, the area surrounding the portal started to get sucked in, turning it into a black hole. Trees and dirt went in like a knife through butter, and suddenly exploded into nothingness. The portal had ceased to exist. > The Encounter of Magic Horses > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do not own My Little Pony or Hasbro, Megaman, Zero or Capcom. Chapter 1: The Encounter of Magic Horses “Ugh, what just happened?” X said. X was laying on the ground and sat up, observing his surroundings. He was in a forest, but was very different to him. The trees were organic. X turned his head and saw Zero, face flat on the ground and rushed over to get him on his feet. “Thanks, X. Where are we?” Zero asked. He felt something under his feet that wasn't felt in a long time. Dirt. “We're not in the forest we were in before, that's for sure.” Zero walked around a bit before jumping down onto lower ground. “We should try to find someone to help us, maybe they know where we are.” Zero nodded and the two started to look for clues. After a few minutes of aimlessly wandering around, they noticed that the inhabitants of the forest were different than on their world. There were flowers that oozed with color and dark eyes that watched them as they navigated through the forest. Eventually, they found a sign, with an arrow pointing towards the east. “Well, at least we know there's a town here.” X replied. He tried to decipher what the sign said but to no success. “How do you know there's a town here?” Zero asked. He looked around and saw no buildings of any sort, puzzling him. “Well, someone had to have built a sign here and also had to write what town it was. So we must be close to it.” X looked up from the sign, and suddenly, a rustling of leaves and branches caught their attention. X and Zero turned around and saw packs of Timberwolves approach them. “X, we're surrounded.” Zero said. He stared down the wolves and took out the trusty Z-Saber, emitting a bright green blade. X did the same, retracting his hand to bring out his Mega Buster. As the wolves approached, Zero pounced. One of the smaller wolves rushed at Zero, but he dashed right through him and sliced it in the process. Another one leaped into the air, but took it out with a upward flame slash (Shoenzan). The timberwolf quickly disintegrated into nothing but ashes. The fight raged on, while X would release Charged Shots at his foes every so often, occasionally looking back to see if his teammate was alright. “Twilight! Come quick!” Spike yelled. Twilight responded with a slam on her bedroom door and came down the stairs. “What is it Spike? I was in the middle of researching Magical Properties of Alchemy.” Twilight said, a hint on annoyance in her voice. Spike ignored it proceed to tell Twilight. “I heard a loud explosion last night at the Everfree Forest. It was like BOOM and went to check out the noise. I saw two a-al-” Spike stuttered. He was scared of what might happened and his knees started to buckle. “Spit it out Spike! What did you see?” Twilight urged her number one assistant to finish what he had to say. “ALIENS! I couldn't get a good look at them bu-but, I was s-” Twilight stopped Spike and sighed. “We'll go check it out, don't worry.” Twilight smiled at Spike, calming him down. “I'll get the girls to see what they are.” Twilight trotted out of her library and disappeared. A few minutes later... “Alright, Twilight. What in tarnation ah you talkin' about?” Applejack tilted her head and look confused. “Spike said there were some odd looking creatures in the Everfree forest so we're going to inspect.” Twilight said. “Oh my, I hope their friendly...” Fluttershy squeaked. Rainbow Dash gave Fluttershy a pat on the back. “Don't worry, Shy! They're no match for me, number one in all of Equestria!” Rainbow Dash hovered in the sky and acted like she was fighting, throwing punches at no one in particular, making Fluttershy laugh. “Well, I hope these...creatures are civilized and not some uncouth ruffian looking for trouble.” Rarity said. She held her head up high, acting like a high brow Canterlot pony. “Oh boy! New ponies!” Pinkie Pie jumped around the other ponies, babbling non-stop about parties. “OhIhopetheylikemypartiesbecausethey'renewhereandIbettheylikecakesoI'llgobacktoSuga-” A orange hoof was lodged in Pinkie Pie's mouth. Suddenly, the pink bomb of sugar stopped, making Applejack's hoof come out. “Hurry up girls, these creatures can't be too-” “SHOENZAN” A thunderous cry erupted form the side of them. The Mane 6 looked around and their jaws dropped. A blue creature was surrounded by timberwolves, it's hand a weird shape and glowed a brilliant light. Suddenly, it released whatever it had stored and quickly destroyed the timberwolves in an instant. Next to the blue creature stood a red one, flames coming off his sword; utterly turning everything into ash. The Mane 6 quickly jumped into cover, startled by the strength of the creatures before them. “Wh-what are they?” Fluttershy said. She was in a tree, giant blue eyes popping out of it. No one said anything, which made Fluttershy shrink further into the tree. The last timberwolf dropped to the ground, ending the onslaught caused by the two creatures. “Well, that cares of that.” Zero said. He sheathed his sword and turned around to see X. “How are you fairing against these creatures?” X took his hand out of his buster, and looked at Zero. “I'm doing just fine. Thanks for worrying, Zero.” Zero nodded and quickly said “What are these things?” “Well, they're wolves made of timber. So let's call them timberwolves.” X analyzed the creature and knelt down next to one, picking off a piece of it as data. The two started to walk away, until a cyan pegasus suddenly came out of the bushes. “Rainbow, no! Don't go out there!” Twilight said after Rainbow, but was too late. Rainbow had encountered the aliens. “Wow! That was awesome! You just chopped those timberwolves into pieces!” She smiled a big smile, startling X and Zero. They looked at the pegasus, looked back at each other, and then back at the pegasus. “What are you?” X said. He analyzed the pegasus and got down it's biological structure. X sighed in relief, glad that it's not a robot trying to kill them. “I'm Rainbow Dash, number one flyer in Equestria!” She stuck her hand out to X and he shook it. The other 5 girls came out slowly, cautious of X and Zero. X saw them and waved. Fluttershy hid behind Applejack, intimidated by the X and Zero. “Come here you egghead.” Rainbow urged Twilight to come over here, grabbing her and plopping down in front of X and Zero. Zero snickered at the sight of the colored ponies. “X. Mind telling me what these things are?” Zero whispered to X. X displayed the information to Zero, the red gem on X's head glowed a brilliant red and awed the Mane 6. “These creatures are ponies. Completely biologic and not robotic. They're just civilians.” The gem stopped glowing and Zero nodded, absorbing the information. “Anyway, nice to meet you Rainbow. I'm X, and my friend here is Zero.” Zero extended his hand, and Twilight shook his hand, eyes gleaming. She suddenly started shooting questions off to the both of them, completely absorbed in how X displayed the information from his forehead. “How'd you do that? Where are you from? How do you walk? What are you made of? Can I study you for a research paper?” Rainbow hit Twilight on her head, causing her to snap out of her trance. Twilight blushed and lowered her head. “Sorry.” “It's quite alright, uh...” X said. “It's Twilight, Twilight Sparkle.” Twilight grinned and turned around to introduce the rest of the girls. “This is Applejack.” She pointed to the pony with the stetson. “Howdy.” Applejack shook both X and Zero's hand and gave them a complimentary apple. Twilight pointed to Rainbow Dash. “This is Rainbow Dash, the one you met.” X nodded and his gem glowed, storing the information. Zero just keenly observed the apple and sliced it into pieces with his Z-Saber. Twilight pointed to Rarity. “This is Rarity.” Rarity went up to the two creatures, and marveled at X and Zero. “I must say, what are your clothes made of? It's something I've never seen before.” She poked at X's feet and Zero's shoulder guard, before being pulled back to the group. Twilight pointed to the next pony, Pinkie Pie. “This is Pinkie Pie.” The pink pony bounced her way toward X and took out a cake. “Hi! Do you like parties? Do you want to be my friend? Here's a cake!” She give a slice of cake to X and Zero, Zero still looking at the Apple. He looked puzzled and took a bite. Twilight stopped the pink pony from bouncing and pointed to the remaining pony, hidden behind Applejack. “That's Fluttershy.” The yellow pony squeaked and hid further behind Applejack. Applejack side stepped and give Fluttershy a gentle nudge. Fluttershy trembled and slowly walked over to X and Zero. She looked up and was frightened by the towering Reploids and hid behind her mane. X knelt down and put his hand through Fluttershy's mane. She stopped hiding and slowly came out. X smiled and Fluttershy smiled too. All the meanwhile, Zero decided to store the apple for later use, and started to look at the slice of cake Pinkie Pie gave him. After introductions were done, she grouped the other ponies for a talk away from X and Zero. “Should we trust them?” Twilight asked. “Well, we did just introduce ourselves to them and they seem friendly.” Fluttershy said. She liked it when X put her head in her mane and upon realizing this, blushed. “Ah don' see why not to.” Applejack said. She looked back at X and Zero, who were discussing with each other also. “I think they're cool! Especially the red one. I mean, did you see how he diced up those timberwolves! It was like, swish and then it just burned away! So cool!” Rainbow Dash squealed with delight. “They have odd pieces of clothing and those gems on them... I must know where they found them!” Rarity said. Her mind wandered away, wondering about the type of clothing she can create. “True, true. I suppose they are nice enough.” Twilight concluded. The group broke away and turned to see Zero trying to force X to eat the cake. Apparently, Zero didn't want to risk himself to this weird substance and decided that X become the lab rat. “Well, that's a sight.” Twilight said. Pinkie's mane slightly deflated, because Zero didn't eat her cake. Suddenly, a loud gust of wind appeared, kicking dust over the Mane 6 and X and Zero. Twilight looked up and couldn't believe what she saw. The royal army. A/N: I need some proof readers. Anyone up to the job? 2 would be great. > Death and Glory > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A/N: This is a joke chapter, don't take it seriously. It's to act as a filler, so my proof reader has time to proof read the newest chapter. I will alternate between proof readers, so it will vary in how many errors I made. This chapter was whipped up in a good two hours, and wasn't sent to any of my proof readers. This appeared on the spot. New chapter is coming soon also, so wait on that. Another thing, I had fun writing this out, so if you want another filler, un-canonical chapter, just request it at my user page. I'll occasionally look back at the comments to see if anyone wants one of these, so ask away. Cheers! Chapter 3?: Death And Glory The royal army surrounded X and Zero. Pegasi occupied the air space and Earth and Unicorns blocked all means of escape for our duo. "Stop! In the name of Celestia and Luna's beloved flank!" A lead pegasi dropped down, assumed to be the leader. Every pony yelled in agreement. "My name is Silver Storm and you are under arrest for intruding the wildlife in the Everfree forest." Two earth ponies grabbed X and Zero's arms, but Zero kicked them off. "Over my dead body you are." Zero stared at them with cold, dead eyes. The legendary God of Destruction struck fear in those two, and they melted to butter. Zero took out his Z-Saber. X, reluctant, retracted his hand and replaced it with the X Buster. X sighed. He suddenly flashed violently, and blackness consumed X. His eyes, a tranquil blue, and his armor, changed into a beautiful white. He was now the God of Creation. Legend has is that this Reploid, along side the God of Destruction, will bring down planets and galaxies if ever awoken. Silver Storm, shaking in his hooves, slowly went back. X and Zero, in an instant, cut up the Silver Storm into many pieces. So many, that one would say they made fine powder out of him. The corpse of the former leader of the Royal Army, laid on the ground. It took a few seconds for the blood to spill over the dirt. The other guards were utterly terrified, but loyal under Celestia and Luna, decided that these criminals must be apprehended at once. The Earth ponies dove under cover, pulling out AK-47's and M4A1s. The Unicorns equipped their destructive magic and the Pegasi went away, only to come back with fighter jets. The Mane 6 were pulled back to safety, all the way back to the Ponyville Library. A squad of the Royal Guard went in as well, to serve and protect the Elements Of Harmony. "T-t-t...they just..." Rainbow Dash choked. The rest of the ponies already knew what Rainbow was going to say, and also had the terrified feeling. "Quick! We need a report on this battle!" A pegasus shouted. Ponies scattered across the room, pulling out various means of machinery. One used Twilight's telescope to view the battle, jotting down notes to report to the Princess. Other ponies built medical bays, but they knew it wasn't needed, based on X and Zero's sudden change. Back to the battlefield, various bullets were fired at the Dastardly Duo. Loud cracks of thunder erupted from a tank, blowing a crater in the area where X and Zero was. Everypony stopped shooting, but the tank was sliced in half. Zero had transformed, sporting a black armor, and grey hair. His sword was a deep purple, and the tank blew up. Zero turned around and looked at the ponies. X readied his buster and shot multiple rounds into a few ponies. Their bullets bounced off of X and Zero's armor. The terrifying result of the battle was already decided. The ponies were going to lose. Despite this, the ponies still fought. Pegasi dropped bombs upon bombs at X and Zero, and the Unicorns shot Fire Balls, Ice Spikes and Thunder from their horns. Some combined the power, and made a giant ball, a mix of Ice, Fire, Wind, and Lightning. The ball quickly changed color and became a bright white, almost as big as the Sun itself. The Unicorns unleashed it, Earth ponies diving over the debris, Pegasi flying higher to avoid the damage, but still in position to do damage. The bright light enveloped X and Zero, and dug a deep hole into the Earth. After a few minutes, the light dissipated, and the Gods were nowhere to be found. The ponies sighed, and put their guns away; a grave mistake. A giant plasma shot erupted from the sky, and brought down the fist of God upon the ponies. Unicorns, Earth and Pegasi were lost in a bunch, only a few survivors. The rest of the still alive army looked up. X was hovering and prepared another charged shot. It sucked up clouds from afar, water from rivers and ponds, and dirt from the forests. The Shot of Mercy, a deadly weapon, glowed a bright white. Zero, was on the ground. His hand glowed. He recalled upon the powers of the past, mixing Rakuhouha, (Megaman X4), Messenko (Megaman X5) and Rekkouha (Megaman X6), making The Sound Of Destruction. Blue, Purple and Orange mixed together, making a dark brown color. Zero poured in his dark aura, making turn a sickening black. X landed and brought his buster next to Zero's hand. The pure white and the impure black, rejected each other but was kept steady. The ponies started to run away, hoping to avoid whatever was going to be bestowed from God's Fury. X and Zero released their weapons, and created a funnel of black, and a beam of white. The white went inside the black funnel, never mixing but not rejecting and charged over the fleet. It was massive. The ponies who thought to have escaped, were obliterated. Pegasi turned to nothing. Earth ponies disappeared with out a trace and Unicorns, gone like the wind. The entire attack still raged on. The beam moved into the town, and with a simple flick of the hand, took out half of the town. Fluttershy's cottage, Rarity's boutique, Rainbow Dash's cloud house, Pinkie Pie's bakery and Applejack's farm. All were gone. Twilight's library, remained untouched. It was the only structure left. No pony, no house/building, nothing. Inside the library, Twilight Sparkle ordered Spike to take a quick letter. Dear Princess Celestia and Luna, The royal army has been wiped out. All pegasi, unicorn and earth ponies, gone from the face of Equestria. The only lone survivors were those in the library, the only standing structure left. I'm sure they have sent constant reports about what is going on, so I need not to explain. Please, save us all. The other Elements of Harmony are safe in the Library, but I fear that it will not last long, with X and Zero, the creatures who caused the destruction, roaming about. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle. Spike sent the letter quickly, and The other Elements cowered in fear. Faint steps, metallic steps, echoed in Ponyville and every pony stayed quiet. Not one pony made a sound. They knew they were done for. A sudden wooden door flew past the Mane 6, splattering a Earth pony in the process. "The horror, the horror!" A pony said. An earth pony with a flower cutie mark ran across, and a quick line was formed across her body. Her body gave way and simply split in half, like an Apple. Her organs still beating, and blood was still circulating. It was like a living blood fountain. X and Zero made their way across towards the Mane 6. The royal guards had to act quickly, and tried to delay X and Zero, only to meet their demise. Soon, it was just the Mane 6, and X and Zero. A sudden light enveloped the inside of the room, and stood an angry Celestia and Luna. X and Zero stood, ready to destroy everything in their path. Celestia and Luna walked out of the room, teleporting the Mane 6 outside. X walked outside, and Zero soon followed, burning the tree with his sword in the process. Celestia and Luna looked around in horror. There were no ponies or buildings, just flat land, as if no pony had ever settled down onto this land. "What have you done!" Luna shouted. Her Royal Canterlot Voice started to well up inside of her. "HAVE YOU NO MORALS!? ALL THE INNOCENT PONIES THAT LIVED HERE, DAY AFTER DAY, ALL GONE IN AN INSTANT! AND THE ROYAL ARMY, GONE IN A MATTER OF SECONDS! WHAT BEASTS ARE YOU!?" Her voice, as powerful as a sonic boom, shook the once thriving Ponyville. X and Zero held their ground. "I am the God of Destruction, Zero." Zero said. His voice like daggers, struck Celestia and Luna a million times and a million times over. "I am the God of Creation, X." X said. His eyes were like the Devil itself. Luna was shocked. "Gods? We are the Gods here! We raise the day and the night, command every pony, bring peace and harmony! You are no Gods!" Luna shouted. Again, breaking the sound barrier, her voice shattered across Ponyville. The Mane 6 hid behind a rock, confused but knowing full well what was happening. "We are the Gods, not of this land, but of ALL DIMENSIONS." X said. Luna was dumbfounded. Gods, of all dimensions? What those this creature mean? Celestia stepped in to join the conversation. "What do you mean, God of all dimensions?" Celestia was curious but worried. Her hooves shook under the voice of X and Zero, but held her ground. "It's as simple as that." Zero said. That was all they said, the final word. Celestia finally knew what was going on. Before the NIghtmare Moon incident, Celestia read a book on prophecies. One in particular stuck to her, and it read: The Legends of Creation, The Legends of Destruction, Comes once a time, During each restoration, The most peaceful times, Will crumble before them, Those who stand in their way, Will be vanquished, like the air in the sky's rim "You are from the prophecies... The End and Destruction, Creator and Devastator, Alpha and Omega..." Celestia said. X and Zero nodded, and Luna widened her eyes. "Sister, what are you talking about...?" Luna looked at her sister, as if she had ponycourse with a raging banana. "Luna, dearest sister... The ones standing before you..." She pointed to X. "The God of Creation..." Then she pointed to Zero. "and the God of Destruction." Luna suddenly exploded with realization. X created the world, and Zero was destined to end it. Celestia then did something that shocked Luna and the Mane 6. She bowed. Twilight quickly rushed over to Celestia, and the other ponies followed suited. "Princess! Wh-what are you doing?" Twilight said. She was terrified, the power X and Zero had to make the Princess of the Sun, bow to them. Luna was also confused. "Twilight, dearest student. These two... are the Gods." "Th' what?" Applejack said. She tilted her head. "The Gods; creator and destroyer." Celestia said silently. She closed her eyes and bowed down further. X and Zero just stood there, their aura emitting balls of light behind them, light and darkness surrounding their respective masters. X stepped forward, and gently lifted Celestia's head, like a father helping up his child. "Celestia, my daughter... How are you doing?" X said. Luna and the Mane 6 were confused. "Daughter? How can she be your daughter? You're not even of the same species!" Twilight exclaimed. X turned to her and smiled gently. "She was born from my light, as did Luna, born from Zero's darkness, the good one." Luna was immediately forced to the ground by an unknown force, into a bowing position similar to what Celestia was doing. "What's going on!?" Luna rambled but was cut short when a black foot stepped in front of her. Zero knelt down, and stared into Luna's eyes. "Dearest Daughter, I see you are doing well." X and Zero said in unison. The Creator and Destroyer were all the same entity, just in two different bodies. It made the Mane 6 cringe. "You were so small when you were growing up." Luna and Celestia looked up, at their lovingly fathers. "You became such powerful beings, your subjects, bowing and praying to you." X smiled at Celestia, making her feel limp. She saw her father, X, showing her affection, one she did not feel since her birth. Zero also smiled, Luna tearing up at the sight of her father. "Now look at you, great deities of the Moon and Sun. I'm proud of you." Luna broke down and hugged Zero, Celestia crying softly into X's arms. The Mane 6 stared, confuzzled. "Wha-Che-How-Who-" Twilight couldn't process the information, the other Elements acting the same. X and Zero then looked up at the Mane 6, who stepped back a good 10 feet. "We hereby usher in the new era, The Era of Divinity." Celestia didn't say anything, neither did Luna. They got up and stood by their respective father's side. "Yes, dear father." They said. 10 months later... Statues of X and Zero, with Celestia and Luna were all over Equestria. In the Griffon kingdom, and Dragon Kingdom, these statues were constructed. In Canterlot, X and Zero were overseeing their subjects. Celestia and Luna were dealing with Royal Court Duties. As with two Princesses, there were two kings. Celestia and Luna, with their powers combined, undid the damage done by X and Zero and wiped out the memories of those affected. To them, it was inconspicuous that there X and Zero existed. Celestia and Luna were sole rulers, and hid it pretty well. When asked of the statues, it was said they were previous entities, and that they are the present entities. Although it was pretty insufficient, it satisfied the average pony of why it was there. X and Zero ruled Equestria with an Iron Fist, and The Era of Divinity lasted for Eons, Celestia, Luna, X and Zero never aging. > Jailhouse Rock > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 2: Jailhouse Rock The royal army consisted of most females, since the Male to Female population of Equestria was about 30/70. Basically, for every 10 ponies, 3 would be stallions. When X and Zero saw a slew of Pegasi and Unicorns, and a few Earth ponies circle into their position, they were a bit startled by how many mare warriors there were in the fleet. One pegasi touched down. “Halt, creatures, in the name of the Princesses.” The pegasus said. It’s stern face and Roman-esque armor gave it a look of seriousness, but at the same time looked a bit silly to X and Zero. “Because of the sight of the two creatures, you both will be put into a dungeon, until Princess Luna and Princess Celestia handles everything else.” The Mane 6, X and Zero looked in surprise at the pegasus’s words. Twilight stepped in, trying to reason with the pegasus, but to no avail. Zero and X whispered to themselves, as the royal army stood, awaiting their commander’s orders. “Should we go peacefully?” Zero said. X glared at Zero, and said “Of course we should, we’re not killing machines.” Zero chuckled at himself, seeing how throughout X’s adventures, he destroyed every maverick he saw. “Alright, alright. We’ll go in peacefully.” X and Zero turned around, seeing the Mane 6 looking worried.         “Don’t worry, Twilight. We’re only going to sort the problem so don’t be scared.” X smiled at Twilight, putting her at ease, but still a bit giddy. X and Zero got into a carriage and the guards tried to handcuff X and Zero, realizing that their “wrists” were too big. They went to old methods and plainly tied rope around their hands. Soon, the carriage took off, accompanied by the pegasi and went off into Canterlot.         Back on the ground, Rainbow Dash pouted as she saw the carriage fly off into the horizon.         “How can they just take them like that! They were so cool!” Rainbow Dash rolled around on the floor like a child, saddened that the two were gone.         “I hope they make it back ok...” Fluttershy said. She was disappointed that she couldn’t talk to them again.         “They were good critters, but don’ be sad girls. They’re gon’ be back soon afta’ everythin’ is sort’d out.” Applejack said. The mood brightened up thanks to Applejack and all started heading back to Ponyville.         “Aw, I didn’t even get to throw them a super, happy fantastic party with a ‘Welcome X and Zero!’ banner.” Pinkie Pie’s mane deflated but was suddenly puffy again. “I know! I’ll just break them out of the dungeon! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-” The farm pony’s hoof  was quickly put into Pinkie’s mouth. After a minute or two, the pink pony calmed down and the hoof was retracted. The Mane 6 had reached the outskirts of Ponyville.         “Although I hope the fashionable X and Zero would be alright, I must attend to my Boutique. Who know what Sweetie Belle might do while I am away.” Rarity quickly trotted off to her boutique.         “Well, ah gotta buck some of ‘em trees back on th’ farm, can’t hav’ Big Macintosh do ‘em all by himself.” Applejack left also, going to Sweet Apple Acres. The rest of the Mane 6 also had to go back home, to take care of a problem. Rainbow Dash, a new trick, Fluttershy, her bunny Angel and Pinkie Pie, preparing to throw the promised party for X and Zero. As the ponies dispersed, Twilight went back to the library alone. When Twilight opened the door, she found Spike sleeping. Twilight smiled and gently poked Spike awake. “Hey...Twilight...” The baby dragon said. Spike yawned and stretched, still a little sleepy. Twilight went to the kitchen and brought out some tea, and decided to tell Spike what happened in the forest.         “So, let me get this straight...” Spike said, scratching his head with one of his claws. “You’re telling me, 2 creatures, called ‘X and Zero’ , plopped out of the Everfree Forest, brutally destroyed packs of Timberwolves, got arrested, and is currently in Canterlot?” Spike looked at the smiling Twilight.         “Exactly!” She clopped her front hooves together in delight. “They were very interesting creatures. They looked so advanced, oh, how I can’t wait to study those two!” She brought out a 50-foot list and jotted it down on her To Do list. Spike just rubbed his eyes and sighed.         “Is it a good idea to have killing aliens in Canterlot?” Spike sighed. “Oh, it’ll be fine. The Royal Guard has them under their control. I don’t trust those two yet, and I hope their friendly.” Twilight suddenly thought of various ways to extract information... even the dirty way. Twilight blushed at this, and Spike just went back to sleep. Twilight went over to various bookshelves and pulled out books. She needed to relax and relayed the events in her head. Soon, she eventually went to sleep, but after a good hour, she was violently woken up by a loud explosion. “What happened, Twilight?” Spike said worryingly. His question was soon answered by a scroll from Princess Celestia. Dearest Twilight. I need you to gather up the Elements of Harmony, quickly! We need your help. As soon as you gathered them, send me a letter and I will teleport you into my quarters. This is urgent! Princess Celestia. “Spike, wait here until I come back. Princess Celestia is in trouble!” Twilight shouted before running out the front door. Onto X and Zero’s side of the story-         “We’re here.” Said the commander. The chariot landed in front of the landing grounds, high above Canterlot and came to a halt.  X and Zero got out of the chariot, and looked in awe to the land of Canterlot. The vast view of trees, tall buildings, you can even see Ponyville from up here. X scanned Canterlot, and the data was stored. “What are you doing, X?” Zero leaned in and whispered. “I’m storing data. I’ve never seen anything like this before.” X whispered back. The commander barked at them, wanting them to move.  X sighed and continued to walk down into the docking bay. Zero on the other hand, was just looking at a certain pegasus, a grey one with a blonde mane down below. Her eyes were all over the place, and she kept bumping into various ponies and mailboxes. Zero pitied the poor pegasus. The group soon entered the docking bay. Chariots lined the wall, spears and armor were also there. As soon as X and Zero entered, there were a lot of chattering going on. Some were hushed, some ignored them and a few occasionally stared. The group continued to proceed, when Zero picked up a conversation. Using the mechanical parts in his ears, he enhanced his hearing. “Those two creatures are what Celestia sent us for?” One said. Zero closed his eyes, to further enhance his hearing. “I heard Celestia was going to banish them...” Another said. Zero chuckled, and X looked at Zero. “Zero, what are you chuckling at?” X said. Zero did a hand movement, telling him to be quiet. Zero picked up another pony speaking. “Celestia reported to put the two creatures into the jail. From reports, they seem like a threat to Equestria, so they must be put hidden until further action.” Zero’s eyes opened, and he sighed. “X. We gotta go.” Zero said hushly. X was confused. “Why? We’re just going to fix the problem and go back to Ponyville.” X whispered back. “X, I know you’re a big optimist and everything but this is bad. We’re going to be jailed. No ‘We’ll be let out soon’ or ‘I’m sure it’s temporary.’ No. None of that.” Zero deadpanned. X knew Zero wasn’t playing around. X sighed, and reluctantly agreed. “So, what do we do then?” X said. X and Zero were pretty much at the end of the room, and into a plain looking corridor. The door closed behind them, and the lead pony turned around. “You are to be sent to the dungeon until further action is to be taken. Don’t worry, it’ll all be alright.” The commander smiled a sly smile. “You thinking what I’m thinking?” Zero asked. X assumed it was to ‘Peaceful Negotiation.’ But instead, Zero punched the commander into unconsciousness. X sighed. Always violent, isn’t he... X thought. Zero used his mouth to grip onto the handle of the Z-saber and cut the ropes off his hands. Zero took the sword and cut off X’s ropes. “Alright, let’s move.” Zero started to walk, but was stopped when a group of guards came across another hallway. They looked at X and Zero, and the commander on the floor. Immediately, X and Zero started to run, “Get them!” Two guards broke off from the group to aid the commander, while the rest went after the duo. “Aw man, this is what I was afraid of...” X said. He ran and took a left, through a bigger hallway. Zero went to the right, and also came to a bigger hallway. X switched on his Comms and spoke through a miniature speaker. “Zero, where do you think we should go?” X said. Zero’s ears ringed and switched on Communications as well. “I don’t know, just run!” The guards were hot on both their trail. A row of ponies blocked the front of the hallway on X’s side. X jumped up onto a wall and air dashed over the ponies, and started his sprint down. Zero, also had the same problem. Instead he used his Hisuisho and easily passed through the guards, as if he was a ghost. The guards just stood there, trying to make sense of what just happened, but went back to chase Zero. The two continued to sprint, and saw that the hallway turned in, connecting the hallway X and Zero were in. X and Zero turned and slammed into each other. “Ugh, watch it, X. This is no time for fooling around!” Zero said. X started to argue when the guards caught up with him, and so did X’s entourage of guards. The two quickly dismissed their argument and ran down the hallway. A mad chase of Pegasi and Earth ponies didn’t make it easy to avoid them. They caught up quickly, and X and Zero took a right into a room, and quickly slammed the door shut. X took a PVC pipe and shoved it into the handles, blocking entry. X and Zero sighed, and noticed a sign. ‘Canterlot Castle Incinerator’  Zero read the sign, and X turned around. He quickly froze up and tapped Zero. “What is it, X?” Zero turned around and also froze up. There was a giant open pit in the room. Inside was a gigantic fire, and various chutes from the sides of the wall dispensed trash and junk alike. The door was on the other side of the monstrous pit of doom, and there was a wood bridge across the pit. Who in the right mind would build a wood bridge over a giant furnace? Zero thought. Suddenly, the pipe started to shake. It was shaking before, but this time it was violent. It rocked over and started to creak. “Let’s hurry.” X said. Zero stepped onto the wood bridge, testing it. It held on, but it teetered slightly. Without any other way to reach the door, X and Zero crossed the bridge. About half way across, the pipe broke, and in came a slew of ponies. Zero picked up the pace and eventually made it to the end. X, on the other hand, was ¾ of the way across, when the bridge broke. “X!” Zero shouted. She looked over the pit and saw X fall into his eventual demise. The bridge hit the fire and burned into ashes. X tried to dash but the gap was too far. X then disappeared into the fire. Zero looked, stunned by what happened. His partner, gone, just like that. “Damn you... Damn you all to hell!” Zero yelled. Suddenly, a bright light came from the pit. Zero looked over but the light was too much. The guards were also blinded, and ran away through the door they came from. Zero covered his eyes, but could see a little bit. A loud explosion shook up the room, and a huge chunk of the wall crumbled away. The light vanished, and the flames were extinguished. In the middle of it all, was X, unsinged. This time, he was in a different armor. A smooth black, shoulder guards and three yellow spikes from his head. “X... you’re alive!” Zero exclaimed. X climbed the wall and reached the top of the pit. “How in the name of Cyberspace did I survive? And why am I in Ultimate Armor!?” X said loudly. He couldn’t believe it. He relinquished those armors at Hunter Base, to ensure no one can access them. “Forget that, we need to escape before any more guards come!” Zero bounded toward the door, and X followed after him. The duo went through and fro, dashing over or simply going through the guards that were in the way. Eventually, they reached a large set of doors. Huge, red doors with gold decor embedded into them. X and Zero could feel powerful energies coming from inside, and were hesitant to go inside. “Could you feel that?” X said. Zero nodded and readied his saber. “Gotta be prepared for whatever’s in there.” Zero reached for the door, but it swung inside the room. Zero looked at this hand, then back to X. “Wasn’t me.” “Welcome, honored guests.” A voice of regal authority stopped X and Zero. They looked up and saw a white unicorn with wings, and beside her was a blue unicorn with wings, only smaller. “I am Princess Celestia, and this is Princess Luna, co ruler of Equestria.” Celestia had a motherly voice, but was still speaking sternly. Luna walked up a bit and sat next to Celestia. “You have intruded upon royal grounds, escaped custody and scared most of the guards.” Celestia rubbed Luna’s back and looked at X. “I’m sure you have heard from one of the guards what I had planned to do to you...” Celestia said. “Oh I do. Jailing us for who knows how long, just because of our appearance.” Zero said cooly. He sheathe his saber away and Celestia sighed. “Yes, we do. It is for the importance of ponies not to go into panic by the sight of a different species, so we must, unfortunately, put you into the dungeon.” Celestia straightened up to look intimidating, and Luna did the same. “My question is, how long?” X said. He wasn’t fully understanding what was going on but now he knew he was going to be arrested. This is what Vile must’ve felt... X thought to himself. Vile, his arch enemy, destroyed by Sigma because of his greed. X sighed. “I’m sorry, but we do not know. Until we can properly display you in the public, we do not know, maybe a long time...” Celestia said. “You intend to keep us here until you see fit?” Zero said. He feared of “how long” it will take. A year? A decade? A century? Zero did not want to be locked up like some criminal. “X, you distract them while I find a way to escape.” X was hesitant, but knew if he was going to be like Vile, he didn’t want to take the chance. He agreed and X pulled back his hand. The X-Buster replaced his hand, startling Luna. “How can you do that with your uh... hoof?” Luna said. She tilted her head like some small filly. “I am a cybernetic organism. An advanced species of robots called Reploids. We come from an entirely different place from yours.” X looked back at Zero, who was standing still but was furiously throwing ideas left and right. I could freeze time with Dark Hold, and escape until time runs out... I can also use Raijinshou and suck up the stuff in this room... X turned around, seeing Celestia raise an eyebrow. “A cybernetic organism? Reploid? What does that mean?” Luna said. X sighed. “I’m a robot, basically.” Luna understood and nodded, as did Celestia. “I was created by a man, named Dr. Light. He created the very first of my kind...” X talked about his life story. How he was sealed away for 30 or so years, meeting Dr. Cain, fighting against Mavericks. As he went on, Princess Celestia and Luna were touched by how much hardships X and Zero went through. Sigma going Maverick, Zero being manipulated to Sigma’s advantage, and Zero disappearing for who knows how long. When X was finished, it was night time. Celestia and Luna were sitting on the ground, and a handful of the guards who were to protect the Princesses also sat around X. He attracted a crowd, and they wanted more from X. “So, what happened after Sigma was just a giant head? How was he even alive?(Megaman X5 Ending).” Luna asked. The others nodded in agreement and speculated what happened, until X spoke. “Sigma wasn’t done with us, and he was still stubborn to destroy us.” X said. “He was so stubborn, he managed to charge up a final attack. He shot out a beam, and Zero got in the way, having only his torso. Unfortunately, the beam pierced us both, and I was heavily damaged, one would say I died.” Every pony gasped, especially Princess Celestia. “Then... how are you here?” A guard spoke. Every pony murmured, but X spoke again. “I’m not sure. I was sure I was dead, but the next thing I knew, I awoke in a capsule in Hunter Base. They said someone fixed me up.” “But you said yourself that you’re insides are complicated. No one could’ve gotten the parts to fix you, unless it was your creator.” Every pony nodded in agreement, and again, spoke to themselves. “But he was dead for a long time, so I ruled that out.” The rest of the ponies talked and talked for a good 10 or so minutes, when Twilight and Co. came in. “Princess! I read that you need us for-” Twilight stopped in her hooves. Celestia, Luna and a few guards were around X. Zero was somewhere, over the rainbow, who knows. “What in tarnation is up wit’ this here gathering?” Applejack said. To be honest, no one knew what was going on. Zero popped out from a window. “Princess Celestia here wanted to banish us.” Zero said. “Straight to the moon!” A guard said. “FOREVEEEERRRRRR.” Pinkie Pie exploded from the stained glass, and landed next to Rarity, who fainted by the sudden entrance. Fluttershy hid behind Applejack, uttering a soft “eep”. “And thanks for being here.” Zero said. The Mane 6 were confused, and Zero turned his back. Dark Hold The whole room turned purple, and every pony froze, except for X, who also had the skill, Zero, Luna and Celestia. “What did you do to my ponies?” Celestia said. She walked over to Twilight and nudged her. Twilight fell over Rarity, and the Mane 6 fell like dominos. Celestia turned around, only to be brought down by a giant beam. It came from space, supposedly, and hammered Celestia into the Marble floor, like a hammer and nail. Luna, watched the whole thing and was angry. “What did you do to my sister!?” Luna shouted. Luna started to use her magic, when a giant blade of energy came at her. Luna dodged, only to meet several more blades of energy. Hadangeki Wave after wave, it grew larger and quicker. Luna kept dodging each one, until she got hit by one. Zero unleashed a slew of Hadangeki, each one bringing her down. Luna kept tried to get up, but was overwhelmed by the sheer power. Each one left imprints onto her body, and eventually Luna was tired out. X and Zero broke out of castle via window, and dropped all the way down. From the top of the castle, to the bottom into the forest, it was like jumping down from the peak of Mount Everest. Zero and X continued to freefall down from the castle and landed onto the ground, unharmed. “I gotta love these shoes.” Zero said. They were advanced landing gear, movable in any terrain and absorbed any fall, 100%. Meanwhile, back in the castle, Dark Hold finally wore out and time resumed. To the Mane 6 everything happened in an instant. X and Zero were gone, Celestia laid beaten into the ground, a gaping hole in the ceiling, and Luna had dark imprints in her body. The ground was also black, because of Hadangeki burning the ground. Streaks of fire lined the ceiling and curtains, and everything laid in ruins. A/N: This was kinda rushed but I did it. New Chapter. Enjoy it, I'm gonna take a nap. > An update sort of thing > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, hello. Fellow readers. I am Aclamations, as you can already tell. I need (from you, the viewers) some ideas for X the Alicorn, chapter 2. I can't get the gist of what to write currently so I am currently in writers block. It is one big block so any ideas will be great. I will also take any ideas you have and implement them into the chapter. So, let's say someone comes up with the idea of X eating a cupcake. That will be added. And if someone comes up with the idea of X going on a rampage, I will add that in too. Example, X ate a cupcake but Celestia smashed it into the floor. X sobbed by took his horn and pierced Celestia in the face. X then gets a weapon and flies out to Ponyville and proceeds to make every pony his wife/mistress. Stuff like that. Any would be appreciated. > Love and Destruction, a magical mixture > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 4: Love and Destruction, a magical mixture Twilight’s mouth laid agape, as did the rest of the Mane 6. Everything happened in a flash, and it was intangible as to how X and Zero were there for one second, and everything went to hell the next. Twilight galloped furiously towards her mentor, tears in her eyes. “Princess! What happened?” Twilight muzzled her mentor and she started to stir. Celestia started to flare her wings and fidgeted a bit, before opening her eyes. “Help...Luna...” Celestia mumbled. Her eyes started to drop but Twilight help lift her up. She signaled the others to accompany Luna and wake her up. Twilight snapped back at Celestia who looked wrecked. She was bruised and bloodied, her horn chipped and her wings bent at a angle. Her hooves were a deep purple and her mane, tattered like a rug. Twilight used a healing spell on Celestia, in an attempt to fix her up. It was slow, but after a good half hour, Celestia looked fine. Even though she looked fine, her internals were messed up. Celestia looked at Luna, and was glad enough to see her moving. Celestia closed her eyes, and everything faded to black... Meanwhile... “Well, we just basically said screw you to the sun and moon. Never thought I lived the day to do that.” X said. X was still in Ultimate Armor, and Zero was in front, navigating the way. Zero stopped and turned around, catching X’s attention. “What?” X said quizzically. “How are you in Ultimate Armor?” Zero asked. He was curious how he still maintained that form after relinquishing all the past armors. X thought for a moment and shrugged. “I’m not too sure myself. After I fell into the incinerator, I felt a sudden tugging in my chest.” X placed his hand over his “heart” and looked up into the night sky. “I heard a voice in my head. The voice said “Awake! Your time shall not end here, dear X...” and after that, my body felt like it was being torn apart. It was like having a headache, and a flush of white came over me. All of a sudden, I opened my eyes and there I was.” X looked back at Zero and nodded slowly. Zero was just as confused as X but a explanation could suffice. Zero turned back around and started to walk again, only to be stopped by X. “Where are we going?” X said. “Away.” Zero said. He didn’t look back, and continued to go through the forest, into the direction of a mountain. The moon seemed to trudge along the vast night sky, the stars dimmed after the incident with X and Zero. The moon slowly went down, and the Sun slowly came up. Back in Canterlot, Celestia was sleeping soundly as the day came to be. Dawn’s fingertips rose through the land, and Celestia was in her bedroom. She quietly stirred and let out a soft squeak, earning a soft squeal from nearby. Celestia, not knowing that somepony was there, continued to shift around in her bed, squeaking again. This time, a louder squeal from the same pony. Celestia’s eyes shot up, and turned to the source of the sound. A green mare was sitting next to Celestia. She was smiling, a big smile and she had a harp cutie mark. Celestia looked at the smiling mare, impassive. Suddenly, a loud crash came from the room. “WHAT THE BUCK ARE YOU DOING IN MY CHAMBERS!?” Celestia yelled. Her Royal Canterlot Voice blasted open the door and shot Lyra out of the building, shouting “It was worth it!....” Before a soft thud came from outside. Celestia suddenly felt a crushing pain and clamped her head, trying to soothe the headache. After a while, it stopped and Celestia sighed. She reminisced about what had happened. She then touched her body, and winced at the pain. Although she looked normal on the outside, she was pained on the inside, like a thousand hammers from the heavens rained down in a furious rage. She looked at her wings, and they were bent at a weird angle, almost inward. Celestia then realized that Luna was somewhere, and she galloped toward Luna’s quarters. As soon as she took her first step, she fell to the floor and let out a scream. The royal guards bursted through the door and attended Celestia. Celestia was put onto a wheelchair, and wheeled off to the hospital. “Halt, I must attend to my sister. She is in great need of medic-” Celestia was cut short when she reached the entrance to the Canterlot hospital. Luna was sitting in a chair, reading a magazine, Equestria Daily. Celestia was wheeled next to Luna, and a white mare with a pink mane gave Celestia a clipboard to fill out. “After you finish, bring it up to the desk.” Nurse Redheart trotted back to her desk, and pulled out a book. Luna looked up from her magazine and gave Celestia a knowing look. Celestia looked down at her hooves, when she saw Luna’s “stripes”. “Luna, what in Equestria happened? You look like a blue zebra!” Celestia exclaimed. A scoff of annoyance came from an actual zebra as she left the hospital, with a bandaged leg. “Such words I have not expected, from the ruler of this land that I have quite respected.” The zebra marched off and left without another word. Celestia looked stunned for a minute, then returned her attention back at Luna. Luna sighed, and decided to speak. “Well, that RED thing, Zero, shot waves from his sword. How can someone shoot waves? From a sword, nonetheless?” Luna started to go on a tangent on how the Red Reploid angered her greatly. “Such uncouthness, disrespect to royalty, and such a rebellious nature!” Luna finally concluded. Celestia absorbed the information, a smirked a bit. “You like him, don’t you?” Celestia said. Luna blushed a deep red, and hid behind the magazine. “I-I do n-not like him! W-why would you even s-say such a thing, dear sister!?” Luna squeaked. Celestia’s smirk turned into a grin, and teased her sister some more. It got up to the point when Luna started to retaliate against Celestia. “Well, I bet you like that blue guy!” Luna shouted. Luckily, no one in the waiting room heard and their conversation continued. Celestia gasped and also blushed. Luna, seeing this as a chance, continued to unleash a barrage. “You do like him! I bet you think about him everyday.” Celestia twiddled her hooves, dying from embarrassment. “But, he is well-mannered and cultured. He also has an interesting past. I can see why you like him.” Luna nudged Celestia causing her to fall down to the ground. Nurse Redheart looked up from the book, sighed, and went over. She collected the clipboard and propped Celestia back up on the wheelchair. The doctor came eventually and called Celestia in. Soon, they reached the hospital room and ran an X-ray on Celestia. “Well, that’s very interesting. Your bones are all mangled up but you’re still standing.” Celestia was shocked. How could she be standing when her bones were broken? The doctor went over to a table and took out a small hammer and started to hit it against Celestia hoof. She winced in pain, and the doctor stopped. “That’s not good. Looks like you need surgery.” “Can’t I just use magic to re-arrange my bones?” Celestia asked. The doctor thought about it for a second. “If you like the feeling of having your insides wretched out, good luck. And good luck again trying to re-organize your bone structure. It’s a hard task, and those wings aren’t going to make it easier.” The doctor stood there, waiting for a reply. Celestia thought, and decided to have her bones fixed via magic. The doctor left, but came back with three unicorns tasked to help Celestia if she was in need. Three hours later, Celestia came back to the waiting room, connected to a sedative. She was in a motorized wheelchair this time, and met Luna outside. “You waited for me? For this long?” Celestia checked the clock. It was 12:00 in the afternoon. “There were some good magazines, especially Equestria Daily. Very interesting stuff there and comics were good too.” Luna helped Celestia by pushing the wheelchair with her magic and went back to Canterlot. Back to our destructive duo, X and Zero made it to the mountain side. They scaled the mountain and found a cave. It was south of Ponyville, and seemed like a speck on the horizon. “Nice cave.” X said bluntly. It was huge, and lined with various rocks. The ceiling seemed to stretch so far and the cave was deep. There were drips of water that echoed and a small pond in the back of the cave. Zero stepped inside and X followed suited, their footsteps echoing with a mechanical step. “What are we doing her, Zero?” “We wait until everything mulls over.” Zero sat on a rock, and pulled out his saber. X was at the cave’s entrance, observing the nature of Equestria. He could see Ponyville, Canterlot and the Everfree forest. A bird perched on X’s shoulder and chirped happily. X sighed, and suddenly his body began to glow. His body turned a deep white, and X turned back to regular armor. Something dropped from X’s chest and landed on the floor. X picked it up and noticed that it looked like a miniature version of the Ultimate Armor head piece. It looked exactly as the helmet, and X held it up. Zero noticed and looked at X, wondering what would happen next. The small piece started to glow and so did X’s red gem. Suddenly, it disappeared. “That was interesting.” X said. Zero pointed to X’s gem. “It changed color.” X raised an eyebrow. “Really?” X went over to the pond and looked at his reflection. His gem was yellow. “This is something. I never knew a Reploid’s “brain” could change color.” X started to walk back, touching his newly colored gem. X sat down onto a rock across from Zero, who was taking things out from his body. His chest piece popped open, like a claw would open and was cleaning the insides. A Reploid needs to be generally clean for them to run at optimal performance, or else it’ll clog up the insides and render him useless. Zero was happily cleaning away at his internal system and X was looking out the cave, when a large, thundering sound seemed to erupt from inside the cave. X quickly snapped his back and Zero closed his chest piece, grabbing the Z-Saber. Another giant sound came from the cave, this time closer than before. A giant, red foot came from the shadows of the cave, and it was huge. X and Zero slowly backed out of the cave, giving them more space to fight. Soon, it was evident that a dragon was inhabiting the cave. It was a red dragon, with shining scales. It’s talons and claws, a deep purple. The spikes on it’s back ran down to it’s tail and stood on two legs. It’s eyes, a dangerous red showed that it did not take visitors. Zero thought quickly, and rushed to it’s side. X started to charge his X-Buster, aiming it at the dragon’s head. The dragon swiped at Zero, but missed. Zero was too fast and performed an Ensuizan in the air, near the dragon’s arm. It hit and caused a massive gash. The dragon howled in pain and used it’s foot to kick at Zero, only to hit the cave wall. X finished charging his buster and shot it at the dragon’s face. It bounced off, but caught the dragon’s attention. The dragon used his tail in an attempt to trip X but hit only air. “What a stupid dragon.” Zero said. He leaped off the wall and used the Rakukoujin on the dragon’s back. The sword pierced the back, and Zero, using his Z Variable Data implanted in him, made the sword solidify, having various matter clump together to shape the sword. It remain in the dragon’s back and Zero’s Saber was returned to him. X dashed on the underbelly of the beast, slid under him and used his X-Saber to cut open the beast. The dragon howled louder, making the cave collapse. It’s guts were spilled, it’s back was mutilated, basically showing it’s spinal cord and almost had it’s arm cut off. The rocks started to come down and X and Zero had to escape. Rocks dropped, ranging from small pebbles into massive boulders. The dragon started to trudge along the cave, ignoring the rocks being smashed into it, it’s scales made of tough material. X and Zero dashed around the place, as if doing parkour. Zero hacked his way at rocks and X blasted a few using his buster. Eventually, they reached the cave’s entrance and at a last resort, the dragon breathed a massive length of fire. It went far and wide, almost scorching the tip of the trees of the Everfree Forest. From a distance, one would say it looked like the cave was breathing fire. The distance it covered was immense, almost swallowing the space between the cave and Ponyville. The rocks, now imbued with fire aspect, dropped like fireballs upon the dragon. X and Zero made it out of the cave, but the same couldn’t be said about the dragon. A boulder came down upon it’s neck, piercing it like a harpoon in a fish. The dragon tried to break free, but was soon covered by the collapsing cave. X and Zero looked back as the cave collapsed and now looked like a broken volcano. A pile of rubble can be seen from atop and black marks lined the floor. Everything was silent, and nothing made a sound. “Looks like we need a new hiding place.” Zero said. He sighed, and started to descend into the woods. X looked around, taking a deep breath, and followed Zero. During the battle, Ponyville felt a massive earthquake. The ground rumbled and the buildings shook like twigs in the wind. The Mane 6 held on to dear life, expecting their houses to be toppled but stood strong. Every house but Rainbow Dash’s had its fair share of destruction, Rainbow’s cloud house turned from a white to a ash grey. Author's Note: Upload schedule would be different. Once a week, maybe. The chapter seemed rushed, so the chapters would be taking more breaks for fresh eyes to look it over. As for the side story, The NonCanon Cannon stories, I have deleted the chapter and will now be canon because I don't want to confuse the readers. So, I have decided to integrate them in a way that will make it part of the main story line, so don't worry. It's not going anywhere. Happy reading. > Chapter 5: Meetings with the Devils > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 5: The Meeting with the Devils Applejack galloped out of the barn and looked around the apple orchard. “What in tarnation happn’d here?” Applejack slowly walked around, observing the damage. Trees fell over, dirt was flung about, but what got her attention the most was a distant mountain. There was fire coming out of it. “What in pony’s sake is gon’ on up there...” Applejack took a step back, before running full speed to Twilight. Twilight felt a rumble as books fell off the shelves in the Library. She put down a book she was reading and went to the balcony, seeing Rarity and Fluttershy galloping full speed towards the tree. Rainbow Dash came into view as did Pinkie Pie and Applejack. She went down and the girls came crashing in through the door. “Twilight! Thank Celestia you’re alright.” Rarity wiped off some sweat off her forehead, and recoiled in disgust when she saw her mane. “‘Dere was a giant ‘splosion when ah came out to th’ field.” Applejack said quickly. Fluttershy nodded, sparing her the explanation. “My house, it turned grey!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. She looked shaken, seeing how she was in her house when the sudden change of color shocked her. Pinkie Pie came rumbling through, a few pieces of cake on her mouth. “Oh boy! It was so sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-shaky! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!” Pinkie Pie imitated a drill hitting concrete, a rapid bouncing. Everypony talked at the same time, a mess of incoherent babble when Twilight slid her hoof down a chalkboard. The screech hurt everypony’s ears and they quickly covered them, silencing them in the process. Spike came bounding down the steps. “What’s the fuss? And why do all of you look like you seen a ghost?” Spike said. He rubbed his eyes and was quickly grabbed by Twilight. “Spike, take a letter! There are some weird things going on!” Twilight said. Spike sighed, and went into the back. He emerged later with a scroll and quill. Dear Princess Celestia, From the various reports from my friends, there is apparently a unknown source of fire in a mountain. We would like to check it out, to see what’s causing all the commotion. From, Twilight Sparkle Twilight stamped her hoof onto the scroll, ensuring its authenticity and gave it to Spike, bellowing a green fire. Not less than 10 seconds, Spike shot out a letter, slightly choking him. Twilight picked up the drool covered letter and read what it says. Dearest Twilight, I will be accompanying you and the elements to apprehend the situation. Princess Celestia Twilight was puzzled as to what happened, when a bright light enveloped the Mane 6 and teleported to the mountain. The group suddenly came to and were hiding behind a bush, Celestia watching over it. “Princess, what’s going on?” Twilight said tiredly. She could never get used to the instant teleportations, it put a great deal of stress on her body. Celestia didn’t say anything, amazed as to what was happening. X and Zero were fighting the source of the problem. The dragon was swiping about, trying to hit the duo but only got air. Zero spun with his Saber out, causing a massive cut into the dragon’s body. It’s howl shook the land, pulling trees out like they were weeds. X shot his buster head on, only to bounce back. Twilight looked on as how well they were doing, when she noticed her mentor follow the shot. It ricocheted off the face, but it went into the sky. Then, it exploded, creating a giant plasma vortex, sucking everything into it. Celestia’s eyes went wide, seeing how powerful X was. Twilight picked up on this and tapped her mentor on the back, bringing her back to the fight. Rainbow Dash hid behind a rock, as did Applejack, clutching onto her stetson for dear life. Fluttershy hid in Pinkie’s mane, who couldn’t keep her excitement in. Rarity, on the other hand, was cowering behind Celestia, and ducked as stone projectiles scattered from the fight. Zero’s sword made contact onto the dragon’s back, and a metal replica came instead. Zero jumped off and slid under the dragon, driving it’s sword until the hilt hit the belly, and sliced open the dragon’s abdomen. Blood spewed from the broken veins and splattered onto the floor. The dragon looked ragged, and it’s breathing showed signs of fatigue. To make matters worse, the cave started to collapse. X and Zero dashed out of the cave, whilst the dragon, not so lucky. In the end, it laid to ruin and X and Zero started to descend down the cliff. Twilight tried to get out of cover but Celestia used her magic to keep her down. Twilight looked up to Celestia, and saw that she was nervous. Twilight was also stunned, but not to an extent. She knew that dragons had really tough scales, but there are certain soft spots in the body that are easily accessible and can cause fatal wounds if not protected. It surprised her even more when Zero got lucky and managed to hit a few. Rainbow Dash flew from behind the rock, and started to push rocks off of the large, covered corpse. “What in th’ hay are you doin’ Rainbow?” Applejack asked. Rainbow kept on working, letting out grunts when she stopped. “Curious.” Rainbow resumed her work, and it startled Applejack, noticing a change in her personality. Rainbow Dash worked full speed until she could see the red scale of the dragon. Rarity came along soon, as did Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. They all helped move rocks around, uncovering slight indications of red. Celestia released Twilight, who galloped toward her friends. “What are you girls doing?” Twilight cocked her head. “Rainbow Dash ‘pparently wants sumthin out o’ this pile of stone.” Applejack said without turning her head. Twilight was still confused when a scream came out. The crew stopped working and noticed that it was Fluttershy, crawling backwards as if she witnessed a murder. Twilight and the gang accompanied her, when she went to inspect what made Fluttershy scared. She cringed as she found the source. It was the dragon’s heart, and intestines, slopped and pierced under a rock. The heart looked as if it was cut in two, and remembered that Zero had technically decimated the dragon’s organs. Twilight cringed at the thought and turned around. Celestia got up and levitated all the rocks from the dragon and reduced it to dust. She put tried to speak but the total destruction made her close her mouth. A shining light caught the group’s attention. It was Zero’s metal sword, Rakukoujin, still lodged inside the dragon’s back. The blood stained the sword but it was still intimidating, to say the least. Rainbow went up to the sword and pulled it out. She took out a cloth tucked away at her wing and wiped off the blood, and put the sword behind her back. Twilight was about to object when she remembered the task at hand. “Celestia, was this all you called us here for?” Twilight inquired. Celestia snapped back to reality and sighed. “No... it was not. Although this is partially the problem, the main reason is that we need to apprehend X and Zero. They are too violent and are causing destruction in their wake.” Celestia concluded. She looked at Rainbow Dash, observing the sword. She seemed to marvel at its height by also by how Zero wielded it like it was a knife splitting butter. Rainbow Dash noticed Celestia’s glare and quickly put the sword down. Celestia looked back at Twilight and began to make plans. The group listened intently as Celestia explained how they would capture the duo. All the while, X and Zero were hiding in the forest, able to pick up what they were saying. Soon after, the group came to an agreement and broke off, getting things ready. X sighed and rubbed his temples. “So, should we play their game?” X said. He didn’t like to hurt horses, especially magical talking horses. “Do we want to be enslaved by the magic... ponies?” Zero retorted. Zero sighed and walked with X back to Ponyville, but slow enough so the Mane 6 will have time for preparations. After a good hour or so, X and Zero started to head towards Ponyville. “I see them coming from the forest.” Twilight buzzed. She had a walkie-talkie in one hoof, another steadying the telescope. Despite being designed for space, it had multiple lenses for adjustments. Another buzz came from the walkie-talkie. “Copy that, watchtower, shall we start the plan?” Rarity sat upon her building, with a small pillow as a cushion. She spoke with worry, unsure if this is the right thing to do. She scowled a bit, saddened that she had to do this to her new friends. “Yes, let the attack commence.” Twilight stuffed the walkie-talkie into a saddlebag and went outside. She looked up and saw Rainbow Dash circling around a cloud. Applejack came with a bucket load of apples and Fluttershy, regretting all that she did, prepared her animal army with sticks and stones, ready at their commander’s hooves. Fluttershy gulped, noticing how intimidating her once harmless friends now looked like savage animals. “Oh my...” Pinkie Pie came bouncing out of Sugarcube Corner with a large cake on her back. The residents of Ponyville winced each time as Pinkie bounced, fearing that the cake might fall. Miraculously, it did not fall and she hid it under a blanket and slipped it into a hay bale. X and Zero, with the most bored look on their face, walked into Ponyville. They were greeted by the occasional wave or a smile. X returned the gesture, while Zero continued to walk. Twilight came into view and he started to look at her. She was looking around, trying to see all her friends when she too, noticed Zero. Then something happened. She felt...odd. Her body started to be cold and her eyes slowly came to a shut. She used all her might to force them open but they eventually came down with a soft clamp. Her hooves started to buckle and she understood what it was. Fear. She had a sudden flashback of all the past events with X and Zero. Utter destruction. Nothing came as close as a scratch on the two figures who were slowly approaching her. Twilight used her magic and enveloped herself, giving her her vision back. She could see Zero smirk. Twilight broke down and yelled out. “NOW!” Twilight produced a sharp stick and threw it in the air. Pinkie and Applejack threw their apples and cake also, Fluttershy on standby with her animals. Rainbow, from the clouds, came down through the sky and produced a sonic rainboom, and using the momentum to bring down the sharp stick. She cut up the cake and apples into many parts and Twilight, using her magic, brought all of the goop into a hailstorm. It splattered all over the area where X and Zero were, but Twilight knew something was up. X and Zero didn’t move the whole time. In fact, they looked bored. Twilight hoped it wasn’t so and the mess came down into one big explosion. Rainbow Dash signaled to Fluttershy and she led the attack upon X and Zero. There were crashes and the animals screamed as if they were truly monsters. The battle kicked up dust and it enveloped the duo. Rarity sighed. She used her binoculars Twilight had given her and sighed. Was it really necessary? Just to capture two lone aliens who don’t have a whiff of what’s going on? Apparently so, because when the whole event was over, the animals jumped back. The group hung their heads down, guilty for what they’ve done but knew it was for the better. The dust started to disperse and much to their surprise, X and Zero were gone. “Quick, scan the area! They couldn’t have gotten far!” Twilight panicked, and so did every other pony. The giant cake explosion caught everypony’s attention and they all scattered, thinking Discord had gotten loose once again. Everypony scattered into their houses, except for the Mane 6, who were cautiously looking around. “Uhm... is everypony alright?” Fluttershy spoke softly. She disarmed her “rabid” animals and slowly petted them. Rainbow hovered the air, scanning for the two. “I can’t see where they are!” She yelled a top. “Ah can’t see ‘em either, Twilight.” Applejack said. The group paced around for a bit until they noticed they were missing something. OR somepony, to be exact. Some white, fluffy, marshmallow. “RARITY!” They said in unison. The group started to make their way towards the Carousel Boutique. The house was in sight and sure enough, X and Zero were on the roof with Rarity. Rarity’s mouth was agape, shocked by what the duo was doing here. Rainbow Dash started to charge when a giant thump came from the forest. It shook the trees and then another thump, and another. Twilight stopped and X and Zero were facing the forest. Suddenly, a giant, 4 headed, yellow serpent came out. “What’ in th’ hay is that yella bug eye lizard doin’ out here!?” Applejack exclaimed. The Hydra continued to zero into Rarity, drool dripping from their mouth. Apparently it was hungry, and Fluttershy started to make a move. She stopped in her tracks, when 3 more Hydras appeared behind them. The other four knew that the situation was bad. They tried to save Fluttershy but they were struck with fear. One of the Hydras noticed Fluttershy and zoomed into her, when a familiar green swipe of light came out from Zero. The green light left a streak across one of the Hydra’s heads, and it suddenly splattered onto the floor. It landed next to Fluttershy, who was currently having another nervous breakdown, seeing death before her own eyes. Twilight pulled her out using her magic and saw X throw Rarity to them. She faceplanted into the dirt, and popped out. “MY MANE. MY BEAUTIFUL MANE, RUINED! THE WORST.POSSIBLE.THING.EVER!” Rarity started to cry and Applejack put a hoof onto her back, rubbing away the pain. Twilight focused back onto X and Zero. (Cue Battle Music!) The Hydras started to attack at the same time, unleashing a flurry of yellow. X and Zero managed to avoid each of their attacks, and Zero hopped next to X. “Cover me!” Zero jumped and X started to charge his buster. One of the Hydra’s head snapped at Zero but X shot out his Charged Shot at the head, stunning it. Zero, seeing this as an opportune chance, jumped up whilst bringing up his sword, cutting off the tissue from the head. It was close to another one, so it severed the other head. Another Hydra came from behind and cornered Zero. X, facing the same problem, started to glow. A bright blue aura enveloped X and his gem also resonated with the blue aura. A sudden flash and X was in Ultimate Armor. The Hydra in front of X used its mighty foot to stomp the ground, but X managed to dash out of the way. X hopped onto its tail and charged his buster. He ran onto its back and shot into the middle of the body. The shot ripped a hole into the Hydra’s chest, exposing all the blood. It went down with a thud. Zero was ducking and jumping over the tail swipes the two Hydras that cornered him also. Zero leaped behind one of them and started to repeatedly stab the Hydra. Zero went to the head and brought down his sword, cutting off two of the heads. Twilight and the gang could only look in horror, seeing how much blood came from the Hydra, but more importantly, how X and Zero were just demolishing the competition. The fight waged on, until Zero finally killed the Hydra. The remaining two were bloodied, and stuck together. X and Zero walked slowly, each step they took, the Hydra took one step back. X retracted his buster, and Zero dropped his sword. They picked up the pace, taking the Hydras by surprise. X then went into a stance. “Zero, let’s end this.” Zero nodded, once again, in silent agreement, X’s hands started to glow, and so did Zero’s. The Hydras were now hobbling, trying to get back into the forest, but Zero wouldn’t let it happen. Zero appeared in front of them in a blink of an eye, making one Hydra turn around, only to meet face to face with X. X charged his attack, and Zero jumped up. “SHORYUUKEN!” “HADOUKEN!” X unleashed a massive wave of energy and Zero’s fist uppercutted the Hydra’s body. The Hydra Zero uppercutted went flying off into the air, while the Hydra X shot a wave at speeded like a bullet. The Hydra curved at an angle into the air and the Hydra Zero hit came rocketing down on top of the other one, a massive yellow blur hit the ground. (Music End (If it hadn’t already.)) Zero picked up his weapon and X walked next to him, observing the damage. Twilight was frightened. How powerful were they, and how lucky were the Princesses to survive an attack against these...things!? Zero snapped his head and stared dead on at Twilight. She yelped and ducked behind Applejack, who successfully calmed down Rarity. X about faced and saw a bright regal light. Celestia popped out from the air and went over to the group. “Alright, now let’s wrap this up.” X groaned loudly. “So much work. I’m so tired~” X whined. “Will you just get on with it!” Zero snapped. Celestia fired a spell into X and Zero’s area, and it was slapped away. It went around, then circled back onto X and Zero, who dodged. The spell hit Celestia and she was dazed. Luckily, she had a trick up her sleeve and a dark blue hole hole came from under the duo. The two didn’t leave their eyes off of Celestia, stunned by their reaction. “We’ll see you soon, you damn princess.” Zero cursed. Soon, they sunk into the void and disappeared, as mysteriously as they came. X and Zero awoke later, in the sky. It was an night time, and it seemed pretty peaceful, despite the fact that they crashed into a building. The concrete collapsed by the speed of X and Zero, who coughed. “Dammit.” Zero said. X was on the topside, landing on the roof. He jumped down into the hole and helped Zero up. When all of a sudden, two people caught their eye. One was wearing a red trench coat, and had a massive sword. He had silver hair, hung down over his eyes and had icy blue eyes. The other, a blue trench coat with his hair swept back. He had a katana at his hip. The red one spoke. “Who the hell are you two?” Author's Note: Now commences the next ark in the story. More focus on the X and Zero, with the occasional chapters on the Mane 6. Remember to thumbs this up so more people will be drawn to read this story! > Chapter 6: Macho Men > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 6: Macho Men “Who the hell are you?” The red one said. He drew his sword and pointed it at Zero. The blue one with the swept back hair observed both the robots. Zero pushed the sword away and unsheathed his saber. He looked up menacingly at his new found enemy, ready to attack at any given time. The blue one stepped in, pushing away his brother. “I apologize for my dolt of a brother. I am Vergil, and he is Dante.” Vergil said. Dante put his sword away and pouted. “Why do you always gotta get in my way, bro.” Zero also put his sword away, but still cautious. X walked toward Vergil and extended his hand. “Nice to meet you, Vergil. My friend Zero and I, X, are here from another dimension, as you can see, we are not from this place.” Dante looked intrigued and popped in between Vergil and X. “Well, well, another runt from another dimension. Sorta reminds me of you.” Dante turned his head around, only to get stabbed by Vergil’s katana. “Hey, hey! Careful there, you might scare the guests.” Vergil withdrew his sword, wiped the blood of his blade and slid it back into its sheath. X and Zero looked unphased, which surprised Dante. “I guess you’re used to see people getting stabbed and live, right?” “We died a couple of times, so it’s nothing we’re not familiar with.” X said. He shrugged and turned to Zero, who was rubbing his chest. “Except, we usually don’t fall on our faces. Or meet demons who are so nonchalant about getting pierced.” “Ho ho, how’d you know I was a demon? Did my charming good looks give it away?” Dante put on his best smile, only to get one of his fingers chopped off. “Stop goofing off, we have some business to do.” Vergil said. “Well, I can’t do the damn business if you chop off my limbs you lunatic.” Dante reached to pick up his finger, only to have another chopped off. “Damn you.” X and Zero looked around, taking in the room they were in for the first time. It was like a bar, only without the bar. A pool table was in a corner with pool sticks in their respective racks, a dingy table in the center with a few swords hanging about, a stairway leading to the upper floor, a drum set, a lone guitar and a jukebox that looked smashed to oblivion. “Wanna come with? If you don’t hurry, the party’s gonna start without you.” Dante asked. He put on his red trench coat and Vergil stood up. They both exited the building, leaving Zero and X in the building. Zero was reluctant, but X grabbed Zero and they both went outside. Meanwhile, in the city, Dante and Vergil were already a few meters ahead of them. X and Zero dashed, catching up to them. They turned a corner and entered a narrow alleyway, various ruined buildings lay across the block. “Where did you robots come from?” Vergil asked. Dante was also interested but kept a solid poker face. “We came from the time of 21XX, where Humans and we, Reploids, are scattered across the Earth. Well, what used to be it. Humans are rare to come by since a handful of Reploids became rogue, also known as Maverick, and wiped out a large number of them.” X explained solemnly. “That’s some Terminator stuff right there. Tell me, did Skynet create your kind?” Dante joked. His fingers were safely re-attached and he cracked his knuckles. Suddenly, a Hell Spawn appeared in front of them. It had dark robes, emitting black lights from itself. It's body, thin as bone, since it was bone and soulless blue eyes followed, giving them the impression of Hell on Earth. Several more popped out, and soon there were a few or so of them. "What are they?" X inquired. He felt disgusted looking at such abominations. "These are Hell Prides, the lowest of the low out of the Seven Deadly Sins." Vergil said. He pulled out a red book and flipped through the pages, searching for their entry. Vergil's face changed when he found them, and gave it to X. Vergil took the book back after a few minutes, and turned to face the Hell Spawn. Dante and Vergil walked pass them, and X and Zero followed along, before being stopped. A scythe came down upon their heads, but a quick slash obliterated the group. Vergil put his sword back into the sheath and continued ahead. X and Zero were confused. How fast was this guy to be able to kill such creatures at such speeds? Their question were soon answered when Vergil stopped. “I am a master swordsman, alongside with the red imbecile with me. I use the style of Iaido, but use my abilities to put a blend onto it.” X and Zero nodded. “And I’m just a wild cat. Rawr!” Dante spun around and crouched like a cat. Vergil then proceeded to smack him with his scabbard. “I use my buster, which I suppose is similar to Dante’s Ebony and Ivory.” X said. Dante raised an eyebrow. “How’d you figure that? I knew robots were smart, but you are the smartest one around!” X pointed to his red gem. “This wonder lets me analyze things at high accuracy. Your biological structures are different from each other and I can see that you have wings.” X nodded at his skills, which raised more questions. “You can see our Devil Forms? That’s a first.” Dante said. “Typically, I have to beat the snot out of something to show my Devil form.” Dante scratched his head and sat quizzically. Zero then felt a glare from afar. He saw more Hell Spawns come from the buildings, and one in particular was bigger than the other. “Look who decided to show up, Vergil.” Dante said. He brought out the sword from his back. “C’mon Rebellion, it’s time to rock!” Dante charged into the mess of enemies and Vergil shook his head. “What a fool... Let’s go Yamato, we can’t let that idiot get all the credit!” Vergil charged into the group also, X and Zero sitting in the sidelines. “We’ll show them our stuff later, X. Let’s see how they fare.” Zero said. X sighed and leaned back. He felt something hard press against him and looked up. One Hell Pride snuck behind them and was about to attack, when X shoved his buster into its mouth. The demon’s mouth exploded and turned into sand. X sighed, and shook his head. “Looks like we can’t have that luxury today...” Many Hell Prides appeared, this kind were different. They were bloody and it seemed to freely move about their pasty white bodies. X and Zero took a glance behind them, seeing Vergil and Dante fight. “Let’s hurry, we don’t want to leave them in the dust.” Zero said. X nodded. The fight on both sides exploded with the sounds of metallic clangs and booms. X and Zero were decimating their enemies in front of them, X being support. Dante and Vergil ruined their enemies, all of which died as soon as they came out. The Vanguard looked from above and let out a howling scream. Dante and Vergil ended their last opponent and Zero and X did the same, taking noticed to the Vanguard’s war cry. It slammed on the ground, making a crater. Dante sighed loudly. “Are we done yet? I need to pay Lady back after that massive debt.” Dante whined. The Vanguard turned around and appeared in front of X and Zero. It swung its massive scythe sweeping up the dust off the ground. X and Zero leaped out of the way, air dashing next to Dante and Vergil. “Not only are you robots, you basically have the same moves as us! Impressive little weasels.” Dante praised. Zero punched Dante, only to have Dante retort with an uppercut. Dante and Zero glared at each other. “You’re starting a fight with the wrong person, Dante.” Zero warned. Dante shrugged it off with a similar insult. “It takes two to tango, but one to win a mango.” Dante said. “What the hell is that even supposed to mean?” Zero asked. Before Dante could say anything, Zero socked him in the face. Dante jabbed him in the head and soon they both had a fight. X and Vergil looked at the two idiots quarreling with each other, before turning back to the Vanguard. “Anyway, we should probably deal with this Hell Spawn first” X said. He retracted his hand and pulled out his buster. “Truer words have never been spoken.” Vergil said. He readied himself and put his hand on the hilt of Yamato. Boss Fight: Grim Reaper Statistics: 5 Attack, 5 Defense, 10000 HP READY? The Vanguard moved first. It teleported into a black mist and reappeared behind them. It swung its scythe but X countered with his own Saber. The Vanguard attacked again but swung too wide, getting hit by Vergil’s Yamato. A white 20 came from the Vanguard, showing that it’s taking damage. “What is this, Final Fantasy?” The Vanguard teleported again, spawning a few Hell Prides. Vergil and X took care of it with ease until one of the Hell Spawns had a giant orange growth on its back. X shot the orange sack and it exploded, destroying its allies. The Grim Reaper showed again, and tried to ambush X again but Vergil punched it using a shiny white pair of gauntlets. The Vanguard tried to run away again, but Vergil was determined not to let that happen. He jumped into the air and took out the Force Edge, slamming it on top of the Vanguard. It howled in pain and screeched as Vergil took out Beowulf. He did a spinning kick and did a diagonal kick towards the Vanguard’s stomach, making it kneel over. It’s scythe spun out of its grip and landed by X, who was startled by how massive it was. Vergil continued to pummel the beast, switching weapons to provide variety. White numbers flushed out as the Vanguard continued to get beaten over and over. The Vanguard howled loudly this time, and three more Grim Reapers came out, aiding its downed comrade. “Insolent fools, power is all that matters. Numbers won’t do you good if they’re not strong.” Vergil said. His eyes resonated with a pulsating blue and grabbed his Yamato. He crouched and in a flash, sliced up the Vanguards in an instant. It was like a blur to X, one moment Vergil was surrounded, the next, he was outside the group, sword extended. Vergil slid Yamato back into its scabbard. As soon as it made a *click* sound, the Vanguards disintegrated into the meaningless dust it was. The scythe remained, however, which confused X. So if it’s not in their possession, it can’t be destroyed... X thought. He committed it to memory and saw Vergil coming towards him. X grabbed the scythe to prop himself up and sighed. “I couldn’t do anything...” X said. Dante and Zero started to run over, apparently done fighting each other. “Relax, X. This is a new dimension, after all. Enemies are different from where we came from.” Zero said reassuringly. X perked up a bit and remembered the scythe. “What do we do about this?” X said. The scythe was massive, bigger than X. It had a white smoke coming off of it and had decorations that looked like screaming skulls. The blade looked like someone decapitating everything in sight, without a care in the world. It had an inscription carved into it. “God’s Servant and Life’s Master, Redeem the souls for everlaster, quick and swift, silent in the night, Strong and justified, forever right.” X murmured. The scythe suddenly moved. It shook the ground, being lodged in the concrete and the skulls started to cackle. It sent shivers down X’s “spine” , making him back away until he hit something. Something hard. And invisible. X looked back. He saw a red ring surround the area. From the outside, X’s figure vanished into a black sphere, enveloping his body. Zero dived in but was denied and was spat back out. X turned around and saw that something was trying to get in. “What in the- a force field?” X sputtered. The scythe started to cackle loudly and the ground shook more violently, until it popped out of the ground and floated in the air. A harsh voice shot out of the scythe, dampening the mood. “Are you the one who called me?” It rang out. X was stunned. It can talk? The F- “Answer me, or you’ll face the wrath of the Almighty!” It screamed. It’s voice wasn’t a normal voice. It changed, from a woman’s voice to a child’s voice. “I suppose so.” X said calmly. He was gathering his wits by how frightening this world was, when the scythe spoke again. “Alright then. Prove to me that you called me by defeating my minions. Then I will recognize your strength and have my master fight you.” It said. The voice echoed and a sudden boom erupted from within the circle. Pits started to open up and Hell Spawns popped out, and soon swarmed X. X readied his buster and started to charge up, but was interrupted as one of them swung downward, making X lose concentration. X started to charge again, but as soon as another Hell Pride swung, he dodged, maintaining the charge. The Prides started to rush X as he jumped over or crouched under each swing. The Prides started to tire out and X released his Charged Shot he has been holding for a while. It lit up like a lightbulb and enveloped the enemies, being over in a few minutes. “Impressive, now let’s see how you fare against my master!” The scythe turned black, tendrils coming out of it. It grew bigger and bigger, more powerful and intense until it took the size of a 15 foot building. “Ha ha ha! Prepare to meet yo-” The scythe stopped. It looked confused, if it had a face. “Wait a moment... Where is my master?” The scythe said. It scanned (seemingly) the area, looking for traces of its master but it knew it was time. Its master faced the inevitable. Death himself died. The scythe started to shrink, back to normal size, and wailed. “What do I do!? My master isn’t here anymore! Waaah!” It sobbed. X stared at it. For a weapon made for taking souls, it’s surprising to see it have feelings. X thought. He started to walk away when the scythe cried out. “Wait, come back!” The scythe whimpered. X took a glance behind him and saw that the scythe started to levitate towards him. “Since my master isn’t...here...anymore, would you become mine?” The scythe asked. X’s mouth was agape. Me, carry a freaking scythe!? That would damage my reputation, think of what Alia might say about me!? X screamed in his head. On the outside, X smiled but inside his brains’ cogs started to jam, coming to a grinding halt. “Uh... fine... I guess.” X mumbled. The scythe lit up and it resonated a passionate blue. “Thank you so much!” The scythe said happily. X smiled and all, when his back started to tug. The scythe moved toward X’s back, and smacked onto X. X tried to pull it off but it was stuck there. X sighed, and the force field was let down. Zero was sitting down on the cobble floor while Dante and Vergil were duking it out, polishing their swordsmanship. X’s figure came to view and the black circle vanished. Zero saw X come out with something attached to his back. “X, are you alright?” Zero asked. X nodded and pointed to his back. X turned around and Zero saw the scythe. “What’s this?” Zero asked. He ran his finger across the blade when the scythe retorted by swinging at Zero. Zero jumped out of the way and it detached from X’s back, trying to take another swing, when X grabbed it. The scythe calmed down and looked at X, who nodded and the scythe went back on his back. “Would you mind explaining why your scythe tried to kill me? On its own, nonetheless?” Zero said. The scythe popped off and circled X, who rubbed his neck. “Well, the scythe here was that giant Vanguard that Vergil and I fought. It landed next to me and Vergil finished off the others.” X said. “Then, the scythe summoned a bunch of enemies inside and I had to take care of them or else I couldn’t get out.” Zero nodded, rubbing his chin. “So then, it tried to call upon its owner but it turns out, Vergil killed him, so now I’m it’s new owner.” X stated flatly. The scythe shook happily (I guess) and spun around. X looked up at its weapon, scratching his head. The scythe started to wrap around in black, absorbing all the shadows from the ruined buildings and such, and released a similar black smoke. As soon as it dissipated, a girl was in the scythe’s place. “Ok, this is just too much.” Zero said. The girl wore a blue scarf and black dress. It had long brown hair and black stilettos. The girl smiled and leaped at X, bear hugging him. “Let go. Please. I can’t breathe.” X spoke between breaths. The girl let go and X dropped to the floor. “And who are you, anyway?” “Silly Master, I’m the scythe!” It spoke cheerfully. The girl leaped again but X raised his hand, stopping the girl. “Drop the honorifics, I don’t need a girl calling me Master like we’re in a BDSM relationship.” X said. The girl nodded and tried to leap once again, getting X’s hand to her face. “And please stop the hugging, at least the lunging ones.” X said again. The girl nodded again, and returned back to original form, going back to X’s back. The scythe purred and seemingly enjoyed the company of X’s back. “At least tell me what your name is. It’ll be less awkward that way.” X said. The scythe thought for a second. “Cheryl.” The scythe said. “Er, ok. My name is X. Nice to meet you... Cheryl.” The scythe grew warm, which X assumed was its way of expressing happiness. Zero slapped himself awake, witnessing an intimate scene of weapon and robot, not a common thing you see. X and Zero walked toward Vergil and Dante, who stopped fighting after a good bit and sat on the floor. “Not bad, you sloth.” Vergil said. “Same here, you no good bum.” Dante retorted. Dante got up when he saw X and Zero, as did Vergil. “Check out the sweet ride.” Dante said. He looked at the scythe, and looked back at X. “How did you manage to get a Devil Arm?” Dante asked. “Typically, demons are the only ones capable of getting Devil Arms.” X shrugged. “I got lucky.” He said, and Vergil smirked. “Interesting enough, we need to hurry.” Vergil said. He turned and started to exit the alleyway. X followed, and Zero and Dante didn’t have much choice. “Where are we going?” Zero asked. “We’re going... to hell!” Dante said. A pit opened from under them and the group fell into the fiery pits of the Underworld. Author's Note: Hope this is enjoyable to viewers. Enjoy the chapter! > Chapter 7 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 7: Something or other As the group fell down the Hell pit, they passed various demons and structures alike. Dante clasped his hands behind his head and leaned back on an imaginary chair as the group continued to fall. “Been a long time since I had a nap.” Dante yawned and shut his eyes. Demons screeched and a few even through some rocks at them. “Sounds of the city!” Ruins of the city fell down also, as the Hell pit started to expand. Cars and lamp posts fell in also, with a few innocent people falling to their deaths. Meanwhile, X and Zero were panicking as they spun around mindlessly mid air, but remembered they’re long fall boots and calmed down a little. Vergil, on the other hand, had his face facing down, as if taking form of a torpedo, being propelled faster and faster into depths. The red and blue blurs continued to rocket into a small tunnel which then led to a big open room. Lava was oozing out of cracks in the walls, obsidian lined the tunnel, scattered about and stone poked out of the orange floor. X and Zero landed peacefully on a cliff, whilst Dante and Vergil landed on the other side. Dante had apparently woke up at some point and dusted off his pants. “What a peaceful trip this was.” Dante stretched his arms and Vergil cracked his knuckles. X and Zero looked around and readied themselves for what was to come next. What they didn’t expect, was a small looking man. He had a bed head and ragged clothes. He was about 3 - 4 feet and ran close to the cliff. X and Zero looked puzzled as the small man stopped and took out a ring. The man stared intensely into it, as if it was speaking but shook his head, trying to dispel any hesitation it had. What came next struck even more curious to X and Zero. A small, bald looking goblin thing slowly approached the small man, ignoring X and Zero. Then, he pounced on the small man. The two fought, wrestling dangerously over the ring before the creature bit the man’s finger, dropping the ring over the pit. “My precious!” The creature shouted, and dove for the ring, when a gunshot rang out from across. The bullet splashed into the creature’s temple and went limp as it went into the lava, along with the ring. “Access denied, please try again.” Dante said. He holstered his gun Ebony and Vergil smacked his head with Yamato’s hilt. X and Zero scratched their head as they saw the body disintegrate into the lava well. “Well, that’s that then.” X said. The man suddenly turned around and noticed the two robots standing before him. “W-w-who a-are you?” He said. He crab walked away from them and stood up. “We’re war machines.” Zero said nonchalantly. X fidgeted uncomfortably as Zero said it. The man’s eyes widened and started to back away. “You’re not working for Sauron, are you?” The man said. He relaxed a little, but still on his feet. “Saru-what? Is that a type of candy Capcom makes now?” Zero said. The hobbit sighed a breath of relief, and looked back up. “Thank goodness you’re not part of that lot, you would’ve been killed by my allies.” The man said. Upon closer inspection, it was actually a boy, who just looked like a man. “You better get out of here. One does not simply walk into Mordor.” Dante shouted from across. The boy perked up and it seemed to get it’s attention, and ran out. “That’s one person down, I suppose.” Dante said. X and Zero decided not to inquire on how Dante knew what this place was and walked down a little alcove next to the cliff. Dante and Vergil went down a pathway and the two eventually met on a joining of the paths. “What a rude welcoming to... Hell, if you ask me. We get rocks thrown at us, two people fighting over an accessory and the heat, oh my, the heat!” Zero whined. He turned to look at X, who was ice cold. “And you, you lucky Reploid. Jet Stingray’s ability actually did you well other than a fight.” Zero said. X summoned more pillars of ice as they went along, slowly cooling off the group. A few went into the lava and surprisingly, it caused the lava to freeze over. Soon, the lava turned into flowing ice and a nice, cool vapor drifted upwards, making it kind of freezing. “Never thought the saying When Hell freezes over comes true...” Dante said. Dante continued to lead the group and they eventually came across a bar. “A bar? In hell?” X asked. Dante nodded and pushed open the door. It was a casual bar, a TV in the corner of a room and a barkeep. Stools lined the table and sofas were also lined across the wall. It was modern, which was not an everyday thing in Hell. Dante plopped down onto a bar stool, as did Vergil, X and Zero. The barkeep had dark skin and wore an eyepatch over his right eye and wore a red jumpsuit. He had cylinders covered in black and wore a type of black winter cap. “Aye, what can ah get fer ye customers?” The barkeep spoke. He sounded Scottish and a little intoxicated. “Get me a Strawberry Sundae.” Dante said, turning to face the TV. “Water.” Vergil said. “E-Tank.” Zero said. “Gin and tonic.” X said. This caught Zero’s attention as the scottish barkeep left to prepare the drinks. “Gin and tonic?” Zero asked. “Won’t that fry your systems?” “Nah, I got this thing in me that can convert any liquid into energy.” X said proudly. “I’m also a heavy weight, so I won’t get drunk.” Zero turned around and decided not to ask anymore questions, wondering why Dr.Light stuffed that into X’s system. After a little while, the barkeep returned with the drinks and put them down, returning to who-knows-where. “So, a bar. Is that what we’re here for?” X said. He sipped the Gin and started to relax a bit. “Not quite. We’re here to take something out. A giant, white, statue, to be exact.” Dante quietly ate his Sundae while watching the TV. It was college football, the Angels versus the Devils. 7 to none, the Angels were winning until a slow pass that one of the Devil players intercepted. A sudden bang on the door echoed throughout the bar, then a series of more bangs, until the door finally collapsed. “I have come for your head, you Scottish Cyclops!” A giant pumpkin spoke, along with it’s strange battle axe and purple suit. The barkeep exploded out from wherever he was, suited up with a grenade launcher. “As have aye, ya orange pumpkin skeleton.” The Scottish Cyclops ran towards the giant pumpkin and kicked the pumpkin out of the bar door. The pumpkin’s body slammed against a stony wall but quickly stood up. “Leeeeet’s do iiiiiiiit!” The Scotsman's war cry echoed and soon enough, explosions can be heard outside, with the various grunts of the fight. “Let’s leave them at that, the barkeep can handle this.” Dante said. He strolled through the back door, as did Vergil and Zero. X looked back at the Cyclops, and soon went after Zero. The red and blue group walked down a beaten path, and eventually came across a shrine. It was Greco-Roman style architecture, tall white pillars, a shocking amount of steps, it was like the re-creation of the Parthenon. “All these stairs, and the pure white, this guy has no style at all!” Dante feigned a pout. “We better get going. We can’t keep the Prince of Darkness waiting, after 5 years since the incident, it’s amazing how quickly he recovered.” Vergil said cooly. “Yep yep.” Dante replied. The two proceeded to climb towards the white building. X and Zero decided not to wait and followed suited. “The Prince of Darkness? What’s that all about?” X pondered. He thought of Sigma, and how he acted like the villain against justice. X shook his head. “This world is corrupted, as you can obviously see with the demons and such. The Prince of Darkness, or Mundus, is the leader of such. Dante has defeated him once, after our father, the Demon General Sparda, who was once Mundus’ loyal subordinate.” Vergil explained. He never stopped to look back, continuing his pursuit to Mundus. “Vergil here got turned by Mundus, and I had to turn him back to good old big brother with Rebellion here.” Dante intervened. His sword’s eyes had glowed and seemed to pulsate as Dante continued to rush up the stairs. “Vergil wasn’t always as this open as he is now. The turning by Mundus seemingly changed him, as he was reverted back to what he is now.” Dante continued. Vergil didn’t respond, keeping quiet on how much his younger brother had let out. Soon enough, the group reached the top of the stairs. The entrance was sealed shut, markings engraved into it. “So how are we going to break in?” Zero asked. The door was decorated with four statues, seemingly in a state of harmony. Zero walked up to the door and read a small inscription in the door. Two alike, four in all, once together, evil shall fall “Kinda ironic that this IS the gate towards the main evil of our dimension.” Vergil said. “Well, no silly door is going to keep me from entering!” Dante reached towards the handle and suddenly the statues’ eyes glowed. An earthquake, seemingly from nowhere started to rumble across the building. Dante and Vergil’s weapons started to glow also, responding with the door. A voice called out from the door, making the weapons scream. Cheryl, the scythe X had gotten earlier, started to tremble by shaking on X’s back. “Yamato, Rebellion, two pristine amulets of the Sons of Sparda, the items left behind by Sparda, come forth and fulfill your role in this place of mine.” A voice boomed. The walls shattered as the debris flew in all directions. The door slammed onto the hellish ground, seemingly just for show and a giant, white, imposing statue that stood over 30 meters came from the depths of the inside. Yamato, Rebellion and the two pendants crossed over each other, as if dancing and combined into one another, creating the Perfect Amulet, and the swords came into one, becoming the Legendary Swords of Sparda. The two items fell to the ground and the statue seemed to have a connection with them. “So the Sons of Sparda have come to stop my resurrection, once again?” The statue bellowed. X and Zero were confused as to how a statue could talk, but as to all that had happened to them, it wasn’t exactly out of the ordinary. The statue laughed. “You cannot defeat me a second time, Dante. As for Vergil, how you failed so haphazardly against me, it’s a shame that the oldest was the weakest.” The statue laughed and that set Vergil off. “Don’t lot me in with the past, you cocky abomination. I will defeat you, be it for my own gain or for the world’s.” Vergil lunged to grab the Perfected Yamato but was blasted back from an invisible wall. “Don’t even try, you failed son. Only those who have never felt my wrath can reach those items, and it seems that there is no one.” Mundus cackled loudly and his shell started to break. “Apparently, he can’t see us.” X said. Dante grabbed X and threw him into where the items were. “Take the chance and grab them and give them to us, it’s the only way to defeat this white asshole.” Dante said. Mundus was starting to fall apart, turning into his perfect form. His back grew white wings, as bright as the sun. His body started to grow into bigger and bigger sizes. The weight of the floor couldn’t handle the growing Mundus and gave way, collapsing into an abyss of lava. X successfully retrieved the Perfect Amulet, Perfect Rebellion and Perfect Yamato and quickly ran back. X threw their weapons to their respective owners and the Amulet as well. Vergil grabbed it out of the air, as did Dante “Brother, although we have came across a truce, we cannot be fighting right now.” Vergil deadpanned. Dante laughed. “Never thought you and me would be on the same page, you lousy sack of shi-” The amulet glowed and resonated with the Yamato and Rebellion. The amulet then proceeded to speak, addressing the situation at hand. “Dante, Vergil, quit messing around and end it already! Your mother gave birth to you, so as your father, I order you to fight!” The amulet rang out and shined even brighter. “What in the world?” Vergil said. The amulet ripped out from the brothers grasp and enveloped the two in a purple ball. “Carry out my legacy, you no good sons...” X and Zero were propelled out of the area but held fast onto a wall. “What is going on?” X yelled. The wind pressure from the swirling light and Mundus’ transformation swept up tornadoes, wrecking the place. “Who the hell knows! Quite literally!” Zero yelled also. The tornadoes picked up rocks and lava, sweeping up a lava storm. The rocks and lava blended, creating meteors that fell from close proximity. Soon, the storm calmed down and Mundus achieved his perfect form. “What is this? A flashy display from the wonder twins?” Mundus mocked. The light from the amulet stopped, and the person standing before him shook him. “Why are you here, SPARDA!?” Mundus shrieked. The place where the two brothers stood now was replaced by the Demon Sparda, in all of his glory. “Now this, I can work with.” Sparda said. The voice of Vergil and Dante can be heard through it, hinting that it wasn’t really Sparda but his sons, combining to take on the Devil Form. “Get ready, you sack of shit, you’re going to pay!” Meanwhile, in Ponyville, Twilight paced back and forth from the library. Princess Celestia had sent her two alien test subjects away to some unknown land, and it stirred up a lot of controversy. Twilight, unbeknownst to her, was clueless as to why Celestia did it. In other dimensions, one day was a whole week in the land of Equestria. X and Zero being gown for about 2 hours, about 7 actual hours had passed. The sun was already set and the moon glowed brilliantly from outside Twilight’s window. [Flashback] After Celestia casted out the rude visitors, the hydras were completely defeated. Their bodies were moved by the royal guard and the Mane 6 came together. “What happened, Twilight?” Rainbow Dash said. She sped into the small circle formed by the group. “Y-yes. W-what had h-happened to those t-two robots?” A dainty voice spoke. Fluttershy hid behind Applejack, who then spoke. “Ah b’lieve that tha Princess had jus’ took care of ‘em” Applejack said firmly. She noticed Fluttershy’s shaking and put her hoof in her mane, calming her down. “But why? They were so super duper mysterious and super duper cool looking!” The pink earth pony bounced. Pinkie Pie dug her hooves into the dirt and gasped. “They’re probably planning a party!” “No, Pinkie dear, they couldn’t be. That massive, black hole seemed to take away our honorable guests.” Rarity replied. She fixed her messy mane, after being ambushed by a hydra not to recently. “I suppose so, girls. I’ll have to ask Celestia tomorrow as to what to do now that X and Zero are gone. Well, to be fair, we can't exactly trust them either. Zero has his mysterious personality and X... X is just too kind. He could be planning something under all that kindness.” Twilight said. The girls sighed. "We better get going home, we had a long day today, and an even longer one tomorrow." The group dispersed into their homes, and the battlefield of the aliens stood ruin. AUTHOR'S NOTE: I'm not dead! Hurray! Just poorly well, since surgery did a number on me. > Chapter 8 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 8: Can’t think of chapter titles D: The day slowly rose as Twilight awoke from her bed. It was dawn and Twilight quickly went to the bathroom to freshen up. She put on her knapsack and scribbled a note, telling Spike where she was. A royal carriage had been in front of her house for a while, having sent a letter to Celestia yesterday about her visit. She got onto the carriage and soon they were up in the air, headed toward Canterlot. Meanwhile, in the depths of Hell, the fight had began with the Sons of Sparda and Mundus. X and Zero were behind them, providing back up as demons spawned behind them. Dante and Vergil had fused to become a clone of Sparda, like a Fusion-Ha, only not taking a mixed form. “I see... your existence will be a thorn in my rebirth, Sons of Sparda.” Mundus bellowed at them. “Now now, don’t get your panties in a bunch.” Sparda said. Dante’s voice seemed more distinct, whilst Vergil seemed to fade when Sparda said that. “You’re extermination will put an end to this nightmare.” Now Vergil’s voice seemed more stronger and Dante’s a little weaker. Apparently, whenever either son speaks their mind, their voice are more clear than the other brother. “Ha! I’d like to see you try. Don’t forget, you have one weak half part of your form, Sons of Sparda.” Mundus said. He lifted up an arm and extended it in front of him. His hand started to shine as a symbol of the moon appeared. “Change the playing fields.” Mundus commanded. Hell started to shake, and the dimension exploded like a mirror. Mundus and Sparda were now in space, just like when Dante originally faced him. X and Zero also appeared with them, as they entered the same room prior to the fight. “Tell me, what is a man? Nothing but a miserable pile of secrets!” Mundus said. “But enough talk, have at you!” [Canterlot, 7:00 AM] Twilight stepped off the carriage as it landed softly on Canterlot. She quickly thanked the guard and quickly made haste. The Canterlot ponies had just gotten up, and their snotty like attitudes drunk their daily tea. The grand castle was in view and was just off the beaten path. Eventually, Twilight made it to the entrance and the guards let her through, noticing her relationship with the Princess. Twilight climbed up until she reached the Princess's Chamber, where Celestia was sitting behind a wood desk, stacked with piles of paper and some librarian glasses. Celestia was working on an old typewriter, clacking away at the keys typing away. She perked up when she heard the sound of the door opening. “Who is it?” Celestia asked. She didn’t look up from her paperwork, something about Pony reforms and such. “It’s me, Princess, your faithful student.” Twilight bowed her head and Celestia looked up. She smiled, looking at the humble pony. “Please, Twilight, you don’t have to be so humble. I am your friend, right?” Celestia did a light chuckle and Twilight blushed. “R-right.” Twilight picked herself back up from the floor and went back to her original plan. “I wanted to talk to you about our... guests.” Twilight said. Celestia stopped typing and the atmosphere went to a lull. Twilight shook a little by the sudden silence of her mentor. “X and Zero?” Celestia asked. She went back to typing, seemingly not caring about them. Twilight sighed of relief, being afraid of her teacher’s silence terrified her. “Yes. I was wondering... why did you... you know...” Twilight fidgeted as she stood, obviously uncomfortable. “Teleport them away?” Celestia breathed in and exhaled. She used her magic and made a plush red chair, setting it next to Twilight. “Sit, dear student, we have a lot to talk about.” [Space, 7:45 AM] “X, go after the chest piece! Zero, try to distract him!” The fight still waged on, as neither side was winning. Mundus was stronger than he was before and proved to be quite a challenge, but there are 4 challengers, so surely they must win. X started to charge his X Buster while Zero teleported, thanks to the help of Sparda.1 (Let’s just call him that from now, Sparda.1). Zero reappeared behind Mundus and brought down a spinning strike from his saber. Mundus’ life bar went down a chunk as the saber made cracks in Mundus’ statue head, inflicting minor damage but well enough to get his attention. Mundus turned his head and X fired, his shot spiraling, slamming into Mundus’ centerpiece, lowering the bar a lot more. He shrieked and used his powers to summon a type of wings to serve as barriers. Mundus started to advance toward X and Sparda.1, shrugging off the apparent damage. “It’s not over yet!” Zero flashed and reappeared to X’s side. He charged into Mundus’ chest and started to hack away at the wings, before being blown away by Mundus’ hand. Sparda.1 started to unleash a barrage of purple energy orbs, non-stop power surging through the bodies of Dante and Vergil. The fight continued until a blinking could be heard from behind. Sparda.1 looked behind him and saw a familiar face. “Let’s go, Six Machine! Dante needs our help! Henshin a go go, baby!” Viewtiful Joe flew in from the cosmos in his trusty Six Machine in a jet, his girlfriend Sylvia in the pilot’s seat. “Heh, who brung in the cavalry?” Dante said through Sparda.1. Joe and Sparda.1 helped in as Mundus was eventually blown back. “We have enough energy for the Hell Dragon, stand down Joe!” Sparda.1 yelled. Joe flew back as Sparda.1 grew a purple aura, growing larger as he clasped his hands. A red dragon appeared before him, and charged into Mundus, inflicting Mundus massive damage. Mundus’ life bar went down an eighth, and flew back. “You may have luck on your side, but don’t get too cocky.” Mundus started to shoot red shards that came out of his hands. Millions upon millions shot behind him only to rain down like hail over Sparda.1’s area. Sparda.1 dodged it easily but Six Machine couldn’t do quite well, getting hit by a few. “Six Machine, going down.” Sylvia buzzed in and the machine went back to Earth. “Even your red machine couldn’t help you in the long run! Useless!” Mundus cackled but forgot to close his chest, allowing Zero to use his Lightning Strike, electricity surging into his body. “Waaaaagh!” Mundus closed himself with his outer wings and spun in a spiral, retreating for the time being. “Don’t give him a second to rest!” Sparda.1 said. The group got close once again to Mundus, and Sparda.1 pulled out his Yamato. “Today, the beast shall die.” Vergil said. He crouched into a stance and the Perfect Yamato reacted upon its master’s hand. “Dimension Cut!” A flurry of swings traveled at high speeds towards Mundus. Sparda.1’s hands moved at a blur so quick, it didn’t look like it was moving. Mundus tried to cover himself with his outer wings, but the Perfect Yamato was too strong, cutting him down. Mundus started to fall and as a last ditch effort, Mundus surrounded Sparda.1 with 8 spherical sentries, shooting down Sparda.1 as well. The two legends fell back down into Earth, like fallen angels, and crash landed upon the front of Devil May Cry shop. “C’mon, author! Don’t rehash crap from the first game, give some new stuff!” Sparda.1 yelled. Fine fine, give me a second... Sparda.1’s energy depleted and the two split in half, back to Dante and Vergil. “Ah, shit, this is it.” Dante said. He was flat on the floor, breathing hard. “You talked for 90% of the time, so it’s your fault.” Vergil replied, also on the floor. He wasn’t as exhausted but was still tired. “Shut up.” X and Zero touched down with their Long Fall shoes and came to their aid. “Are you guys alright?” X said. He started to scan their vitals. “We’re ok, just a little exhausted. I wonder how Vegeta and Goku don’t get tired after being whatever the fu-” Vergil used the Perfect Yamato to floor Dante into unconsciousness. “Just stop talking and take a damn nap.” [Canterlot, 8:15 AM] Twilight leglow aned more intensely into her soft, plush chair as Celestia explained the situation. Dear Celestia, these chairs are just exquisite! I need one of these... “So, did you get all that?” Celestia finally said. The piles of paper went down a tiny bit and she had a mug of coffee, 2 sugars. She pushed her librarian glasses with her hoof and relaxed a bit. She looked at Twilight and chuckled, seeing that you can only see a slit of Twilight’s purple body and her head partly submerged in the sponginess of the chair. Twilight suddenly popped back out, like a suction cup and rubbed her neck. “So, you “banished” X and Zero to save Equestria from any future threat because we couldn’t calculate how much OF a threat they are?” “Exactly, we want to keep as much violence out of Equestria and dear student, you and the other elements have seen their potential.” Twilight thought about it for a few seconds, before nodding her head. But something still irked her. “What happens when they come back?” Twilight asked. “It’ll be hard for them to, since there are an infinite amount of universes and ours are part of that infinity. Hopefully, they won’t come back.” Celestia resumed her tapping on the keyboard of her typewriter and Twilight decided to leave. She got a quick nuzzle from her mentor and was told to be safe before leaving back to Ponyville. [Front of Devil May Cry, 8:35 AM] “So what do we do? We can’t defeat Mundus at our current power level.” Zero said. His scanner analyzed the towering Mundus, who was at the time the strongest he can be. Zero looked back at Dante who woken up after being knocked out. Why Mundus hadn’t attacked then, a mystery, but whatever. “Take their souls!” A cheery voice spoke. X and Zero jumped, and Cheryl popped off of X’s back. “Oh, it’s just you. Don’t scare me like that!” X exclaimed. Cheryl rolled her eyes and continued to speak. “Can’t you take their souls? They’re devils and Master had taken my soul to use, so why not theirs? It’ll help in the fight.” X thought about it for a moment. “Yeah, why can’t we?” Zero asked. X shrugged and looked at Dante and Vergil who was in on the conversation. “I suppose it’ll work like a Devil Arm...?” Vergil said. He got up on his feet and dusted himself off. Dante did the same and stretched out his back. “Oh what the hell, let’s give it a shot. Come here.” “Which one?” Zero asked. “Capcom rules. Red with Red, Blue with Blue, now c’mon! We gotta beat the game!” Dante explained in a lackluster tone. Zero shrugged and stood in front of Dante, X with Vergil. “Now what?” Zero said. MASH THE BUTTONS the author said. Pretty soon, Vergil and Dante started to glow their respective colors, and a small white orb went into X and Zero’s hand. YOU GOT: DEVIL HUNTER SOUL This allows the user to take the form of the person’s soul, be it human or devil and to be able to use all their powers! Weapons alike! 3 possible upgrades available! Personalities also carry over, but you can switch between the character and your own! Damn writer making crap overpowered! Overpowered, yes? Good. X and Zero opened up a secret hatch in their chests, revealing their energy source, their battery, in a sense. They placed them inside the hatch and quickly closed it. Then they started to shake and a brilliant transformation took place before Vergil and Dante. Zero’s hand became a human hand, with a black glove. X’s helmet started to disappear, to be replaced with a human head with sleek white hair. Other familiar parts replaced the Reploids own body parts, the face, the height, and even the clothes. It then ended with a soft click. TRANSFORM COMPLETE! FORM OF: Sons of Sparda! The distinctive READY from the announcer spoke loudly, then two massive sound waves exploded from Zero and X, or should I say, the duplicate Dante and Vergil who was really X and Zero. Something beeped on Zero and X’s arm and they both looked down. On it showed a list of weapons and styles available for use. X could inherit the styles Dante uses since they’re so similar, yet it has a spin to it, keeping the difference between the two brothers apparent. Same with the weapons, it was as if the Doppelganger style has been tripled. Zero selected Rebellion whilst X selected Beowulf. The weapons appeared to the duo and they exploded in a rush towards Mundus. “What’s this? Four Sons of Sparda? What type of monstrosity had created these, I certainly did not. Still, they’re only replicas.” Mundus readied his hand and slammed onto the ground, creating an earthquake. X and Zero dashed out of the way and landed at Mundus’ feet. “Off goes this foot.” Zero said, and swung Rebellion about at Mundus’ left foot. A massive white streak went between Mundus’ kneecap and foot, ultimately crippling Mundus. “Damn, this thing has a lot of range.” Zero looked at X who used Beowulf to his advantage. It’s speed made quick work of Mundus’ right arm as it crumbled to the ground. Limping and falling to the ground, Mundus detached his torso to rid himself of his useless appendages. “No... this cannot be! Such strength is not present in the Sons of Sparda, yet I have fallen before the scum of Sparda?!” Mundus started to crawl to the Original Dante and Vergil, who tossed Ebony to Vergil. “Let’s end this like with Arkham.” Dante said. The two brothers stood up slowly and put their guns together. “It’s getting repetitive.” Vergil said plainly. He cocked the gun and took aim. “Oh well, just deal with it.” The two brothers pulled their triggers and a spiral of red and blue spiraled into Mundus’ third eye. A sonic boom imploded and Mundus was sucked into a white portal. He grabbed onto the edge, trying to pull himself back in. “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can still fight! It’s not over yet!” Mundus’ grip started to loosen as his form started to deteriorate, slowly disappearing. “Fear the day I shall come back and rule this world!” Mundus lost his grip and spun out of control into the white light, closing the portal. Vergil handed back Ebony to Dante who holstered it back along with Ivory. “It’s over, like always.” A female voice said behind the two. Dante smirked. “Trish, you came back! We just defeated old grampy who made you.” Trish chuckled and sighed. “He was always coming back, you had to eventually take care of him.” A sudden crack of lightning struck between X and Zero, and out came a portal. “Looks like this is our stop.” Zero said. X sighed and shook his head. “We never get left alone, do we?” X said. Just as he said it, demons spawned out from the cracks of the Earth. “Guess not. You guys better get going!” Dante said to them, slicing apart one who tried to sneak behind him. Zero and X waved goodbye before jumping into the portal, closing in on them. “Interesting fellows, aren’t they.” Vergil said. He sliced open an enemy, being turned to dust. “Sure, I guess. They did take our souls, so that’s a big thing.” Dante stuck his sword in the ground and spun like on a pole, defeating a group of surrounding demons. “I hope they reach wherever they needed to go.” Trish said, shooting lightning out of her palms at other demons. Zero and X tumbled into an area, the portal closing behind them. It was a bright sunny day and it looked pretty archaic, it looked a lot like... Athens. X and Zero got up and stretched their limbs and looked around. “Where are we, X?” Zero asked. There were many buildings, especially a giant statue of a man chiseled in marble. He had a look of fury and he was holding... a thunderbolt. X shrugged. “I don’t know, the weird dimensional portal sent us somewhere else.” X said. All of a sudden, a man yelled and the sound of wooden planks breaking came from above. Undead soldiers and Minotaurs fell down and left bloodied with cuts around their bodies. Red looking orbs came from them and went to where the planks were broken. Then a bald man jumped down. As he stood, he was covered in blood, a scar on his stomach and a red tattoo covered a portion of his body. His chain like weapons cried and pulsed, and his ash white complexion made look like... a ghost. [Author's Note]: Devil May Cry Arc finished! Can you guess what the next one is?
