Her friends come and see her, making sure that she is okay. But when Crystal Feather finds out about her problem, she trusts in her friends to fight with her. Based off of this song. Ever since Stardella had returned to the Crystal Empire after her long trip in another time period, we both have been meeting at the high school where we were together in the ninth grade and meeting in Ms. Snapple's classroom. Recently I have been in the hospital for many sudden reactions to a huge problem, a heart attack at times, my lungs stop working to where I can't catch my breath, even there for passing out on the floor. This all happened in the course of 2 weeks, leading up to this day. I hope that nothing bad happens today. I don't want to frighten any pony.
The doctors at the hospital always ran tests when I would arrive and not find anything wrong with me, which was weird. I would always have to stay over night at the hospital so then the doctors could make sure that I was 100% okay.
I was sitting in Ms. Snapple's room, waiting for her to come back from her errand, and Stardella to arrive. I sat at the desk that I had always sat on when I was in her classroom in the ninth grade. She never minded, as long as I didn't get killed or fall. The room was cold, which wasn't normal, the room always had been warm. Soon, Stardella came into the room and wrapped her hooves around me.
"I'd been hearing that you had been in the hospital a lot recently. Are you okay?" Stardella immediately asked me as she slowly let go of the embrace.
"Yeah I'm okay, the doctors have been saying that nothing was wrong and I must had just had an reaction." I answered.
Stardella looked questioningly at me, "I hope that you are okay. Where is Ms. Snapple?"
"Went to go run a quick errand here at the school. She should be back."
Stardella nodded and she followed me to the desks. Ms. Snapple soon arrived and sat at her desk. She gave a small hug to Stardella and I individually and looked at us.
"It's been a while since we had last seen each other." Ms. Snapple exclaimed.
"Ms. Snapple, it's only been a couple of weeks." Stardella informed.
"Oh, yeah. Crystal, I heard from a lot of ponies that you had been in the hospital a lot - "
"Ms. Snapple, I'm okay right now. The doctors say that it's just reactions to little things. I'm okay really." I interrupted.
"Okay." Ms. Snapple shook her head, probably getting back into focus, "How have the both of you been?"
"Eh, alright I guess. Just worried a lot about little things," Stardella answered, "OH! And I have received a promotion at my job, moving me up to the next floor, and getting more bits in a month."
"Great!"
"I've haven't been writing much due to me being in the hospital, I had written some before this, but not enough." I responded.
"Are you sure your going to be okay?" Stardella asked.
"Star! I'll be fine, don't worry."
Yeah, that's what I thought until things went completely black. I heard yelling, "Crystal! Crystal! Oh my Celestia, Crystal!"
I couldn't move, my mouth had a taste of metal, and my heart was beating a million miles per minute. My body was involuntarily shaking and moving. What was going on? I didn't know. Was I having another reaction to something? But this seemed worse than the other reactions that I had before today.
"Crystal Feather, are you okay?" a stallion's voice asked me.
I couldn't answer. My lips and voice wouldn't respond to my order.
"Some pony, call the ambulance!" the same stallion voice ordered.
Soon, things came into view, but they were blurry, so blurry, I couldn't make them out. I could see a brown color. That had to have been Ms. Snapple. Then a dark blue color, Stardella.
"What's going on? Is she okay?" Stardella's voice asked the stallion voice.
"I don't know, this is weird. I've never seen anything like it. She must have had a seizer or something, but this one is weird. Not like ones I have seen before." the stallion voice answered.
"That wasn't a seizer! I know that." Ms. Snapple's voice informed.
"Then what was it?"
Ms. Snapple's voice didn't answer. What was going on, why was I on the floor, unable to move, tasting metal, and my heart racing so fast?
"Obstacles are put in your way to see if what you want is really worth fighting for."
Sitting in the hospital bed, in a quiet room only hearing the heart rate machine. It wasn't fast like me heart had been when I felt it, thank Celestia for that. I had the television on watching some Doctor Whooves, upon which my mom brought for me to watch as I was immobile. The episode was great, well, it was one that I had seen multiple times, and it was still the best.
Soon the door to my room opened and I watched a white mare, wearing a nurse's cap trot in with a tray of food. I was starving!
"Here you go Miss. Feather," Nurse RedHeart set the tray down on the mobile table, "I hope you enjoy your meal. I told the cooks to make this one special."
A special meal, for me. Was it my birthday or what?! I opened the tray and found some of my favorite foods there. I picked up the fork and began to eat the food. Soon hearing the door open again. I look up and it's Rainbow Dash and Princess Twilight.
"Dashie!" I cried.
"Hey kid, I heard from one of your friends that you were here. Twilight wanted to come along as well." Rainbow Dash explained.
"I wanted to make sure you were okay, and maybe check you out. The doctors might have missed something." Twilight informed.
"We did your highness." the doctor that was taking care of me confessed.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Your highness and Rainbow Dash, may I speak with you in the hallway please?"
Rainbow Dash and Twilight followed the doctor out of the room, leaving me alone in the room once again, with the Doctor and Roseluck. Soon, Rainbow and Twilight came back in with pity in their looks. I was confused, what kind of pity could they be feeling if I was all fine and dandy?
"What's going on?" I asked attentively wanting to know.
"Crystal Feather, I hate to tell you this my dear..." the doctor paused for a long time, "You have cancer. You may only live for nine more months."
My eyes widened. I was dying? How could this be possible? I was in perfect health before all this happened, what could have changed in me to cause this. How would my friends react to this? Would they feel pity too? Or would they be supportive of me?
"How is that possible?" I asked.
"I don't know my dear. I'm sorry." the doctor pitied me.
"Don't say that?! Is there any way to help me live longer?!"
"The only way we could do that is give you surgery that could eventually kill you. If you happen to survive the surgery and transplant of new organs, you aren't completely cured of it. This cancer can come back with a big bite. I'm sorry, unless you want to risk your life and go with the surgery I still estimate nine months. I'm very sorry Miss. Feather."
I buried my head into my hooves and sobbed. Rainbow Dash and Twilight came up to me and tried to comfort me. Like it was going to help at all. I only had nine months left to live, how was I going to live those. At the moment, I didn't know what I was going to do. I didn't even think I was going to last the night.
Twilight left the hospital and was replaced with Pinkie Pie. At least she could make me smile after the bad news I got, and I could have Rainbow Dash all to myself, longer than I could've had when I was a young filly. Pinkie tried her hardest to make me smile, but all that would come on my face was a slight smile, and a turn of the head.
Soon the door of the hospital room opened up, I looked over and saw Ms. Snapple, Super Junior, Harmony Wing, Stardella, and Lunario. I looked at all of them, they had pity looks on their faces, I knew that they knew what was wrong with me. I buried my head in my hooves again, and began to cry, yet again. They all came over and hugged me, trying to comfort me.
Super Junior gave her, "Stay Strong," advice.
Ms. Snapple, "Get Better."
Harmony, "DON'T DIE!"
Lunario, "Fight fire with fire."
Stardella didn't say anything, her tears were all the things that she could say.
"How long do you have?" Ms. Snapple asked.
"Nine whole months." I answered when I could catch my breath.

Back into my normal life that will never seem normal anymore, I tried to write some more stories, maybe some goodbyes would be nice. Or a diary of what I do before I die. But what in my life was there to write about, there was nothing I could live for anymore. I wasn't going to live life anymore. I trotted around my home looking for something that I could do with my life, that's all I could do.
Out of the blue in the afternoon, I thought that I heard the TARDIS. But how could it be? The doctor had a companion and didn't need Ms. Snapple, nor I. I didn't let that bother me; I kept trotting around my house, then heard the door being knocked on. I went to my door and opened it. There was Ms. Snapple, the doctor, and Roseluck.
"What are you doing here doctor?" I asked.
"I went to come get you and Snapple to come on a trip with me. But Snapple informed me that you were just diagnosed with cancer." the doctor answered.
I turned my head away from the doctor and started to tear up. He knew about my problem, the only pony that I knew that didn't know about my cancer. Rose came up to me and wrapped her hoof around my body, as if comforting me, trying to stop me from my cries of mercy.
"Doctor, you should let her go on a trip, you know? A last trip in the TARDIS. I think Crystal would really enjoy getting to go in the TARDIS as if this was her last trip of her life." Ms. Snapple offered to the doctor.
The doctor looked at me, looked at Rose, and then looked back at Ms. Snapple. He lowered his head, and then opened his mouth, "Would you like to go on a final trip in the TARDIS? So then you can say that you died seeing something good."
My eyes widened, but then it disappeared, "Hoe could I? If I were to die during the trip, what of use would I be. I'd just slow you down."
"Crystal." Ms. Snapple came up to me, "There is no way I am leaving you here to die. When you die, you can say that you did something in your life!"
I smiled, I didn't want to feel like I died not doing something amazing, "I'm going. No matter what stands in my way!"
Ms. Snapple smiled at me, the doctor and Roseluck began trotting away into the TARDIS. We followed. The doctor let me sit in the seat behind the center of the TARDIS and hold down one of the buttons. The TARDIS creaked and rattled, every pony but me held on tight to the center of the TARDIS. Soon we landed and the doctor looked at me.
"Where are we at doctor?" I asked.
"Why don't you go see yourself." the doctor responded.
I smiled, "Come on Ms. Snapple!!!" I grabbed Ms. Snapple's leg and hurled her out of the TARDIS.
Opening the door, I saw a massive building in the way of my walking. I looked up and saw the building, it looked a lot like a home, but I couldn't really tell.
"Doctor. where are we?" I asked.
"Well Crystal, I remember you saying that you always wanted to see the human world. If it even existed, so I went looking to see if I could find it. Crystal, your dream has come true." Ms. Snapple responded.
My eyes widened. I was in the land of humans?! Holy mother of Celestia, Ms. Snapple found it. She made it her gift to me.
"Why did you do this Ms. Snapple? For me?" I asked.
"You needed to get out and see the world! Leaving the Earth saying that you did nothing is not an option. You needed to leave this world saying that you saw something amazing. Lived your life to the fullest. This was one thing that I could've helped you with." Ms. Snapple responded.
I wrapped my hooves around Ms. Snapple and whispered in her ear, "Thank you for this Ms. Snapple."
I left Ms. Snapple, the doctor and Rose back at the TARDIS, and explored the world; the human world. It was amazing for me to see, I was in a world were no other pony had been before. The grass was as beautiful as I had imagined it! The buildings were massive and gorgeous! The whole world was the best that I had ever seen.
When we went back home; Ms. Snapple, the doctor and Roseluck left me at my home to still envelop what I had seen. I was going on with my life with a smile.
