New Beginning
Hello, my name is Derpy, but you can call me Ditzy Doo if you like. My mom gave me that name, but everyone calls me Derpy because of my wall-eyes. I'm a 23 year old Pegasus and today I'm delivering a special message to the princesses!!!! I'm not sure what the letter is about but I know it's SUPER important, so I can't lose it. On my way to the castle it was really hard not to peek at the letter, but I knew that if I did peek, Princess Celestia would BANISH ME TO THE MOON!!!! Luna told me about that. She said it was really boring. She said if it weren't for Twilight and her friends, she would have been sent back there. I don't think I would be able to stand being on the moon for a thousand years, I have The Doctor and Dinky to look after.
Anyway, when I got to the castle, all the princesses were there, except for Twilight she was probably at the library reading or something. I approached the princesses slowly and kneeled down, holding out a wing with the mysterious letter on top. Celestia levitated the letter over to herself and tore open the letter. Princess Luna and Princess Candence crowded around Celestia.
"What did he say?" Whispered princess Cadence.
"Is he hurt?" Whispered princess Luna
I was very confused, I remembered the letter was from spike, but he just set the letter in the mailbox. And that raises another question, couldn't Spike send the letter himself? Something's wrong I know it.
"Um...Princess...what's the letter about?" I asked very shyly.
"Oh...Um...don't worry about it...it's nothing." She said very nervously.
She was obviously hiding something. But as I walked out, I felt a slight tap on my shoulder. I turned to see Princess Luna looking down at me with a very worried face.
"Follow me" she said quickly and flew away. I tried my hardest to keep up with her, but with all the mail in my satchel, it was a struggle to keep up. When I finally found her, she was resting on her balcony. I quickly collapsed from exhaustion next to ber. Luna nestled me in to her side. She was very warm and it helped as she arose the Moon to it's spot in the sky and the stars became visible.
"I couldn't help but notice your concern." Luna said as she started at her Moon.
"Yes, I saw that the letter was from Spike and couldn't he just have sent the letter himself and why was Princess Celestia so nervous?" I asked as quickly as I could.
"I think we need to visit Miss Sparkle and Mr Spike now, Miss Hooves, don't you think?" She asked with a scared look on her face.
"Well,...OK, but...can we get some muffins on the way?!?!?" I asked as excited as I could.
"Hehe, yes Miss Hooves, we can grab some muffins." She answered with a smile.

We soon arrived at the Golden Oak Library, with a large supply of muffins I might add. Luna slowly pushed the door open with a long creak. The lights were dimmed lowly to where a muffin hit my eye as I tried to take a bite. Luna quickly relite the candles on the center table. As the light grew, I could make out a figure leaning against the wall next to the stairs. Once the room was fully lite I could completely make out who it was...I was so shocked...I dropped my muffin and ran over to him as fast as I could with Luna right behind me.
"SPIKE...SPIKE ARE YOU OK?!?!?!" I screamed as Luna pulled a roll of bandage out of her saddle bag. He had a large gash in his neck about the size of a Muffin. Most of the blood had dried already meaning that it had happened awhile ago. Luna finished bandaging his neck and quickly got up.
"What happened to him??" I asked quietly
"Let us find out." Luna said in a calm voice as she walked down the stairs to the basement.
"WAIT!!" I shouted, Luna stopped not looking back. I slowly pushed my ear up to his chest. Silence. I slowly move away from his chest and closed his eyes for him.
"Goodnight." I whispered and kissed his forehead. I looked up to Luna.
"Are we going or what?" I asked with a smile, walking ahead of her.
"Of course...we're you two close?" Luna asked as casually as she could.
"No actually, we never actually talk." I answered with a tear in my eye.
We soon found ourselves at the bottom of the stairs. The basement was full of many machines, most destroyed. There were broken veils everywhere and smoke coming out of machines.
"Be very careful, Miss Hooves." Said Luna, very cautiously.
"Don't worry, Princess, I may be clumsy, but-" Derpy was cut off by a very malicious laughter.
"Ahe...ahe...ahehe...aheheheheha!!" The laughter continued
"SHOW YOURSELF" Luna shouted
"Oh Luna, what are you doing here?" The voice asked.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M DOING HERE, COWARD?!?" Luna shouted, this time in her Royal Canterlot Voice.
"Well, I thought it would be your sister, Tia, coming to subdue me. You know, because 'she is soon much more powerful than you'" the voice mocked.
"WE SHARE OUR POWER UNLIKE WEAK SCUM LIKE YOU!!!!" Luna bellowed.
"Oh, and I see that you brought a friend with you, what was her name? Ah I remember, Derpy Hooves." The voice said in a satisfied tone.
"T-that's right" I said in a scared voice
"Hm, amusing, Celestia would have chosen an ally that would at least have a chance to prove it's self...like me" The voice mocked.
"no-" Luna whispered, frozen stiff.
"Princess, what does it mean 'like me'?" I asked confused. Before she could answer, the room went dark and I heard a scream from right next to me.
"DERPY...RUN...IT'S-" Silence. I ran to the door. It was right behind me. I could feel it breathing down my neck. Tears ran down my face. Before I could reach the door, it tackle me. I closed my eyes as tight as I could.
"Oh come on, I have beautiful eyes. Just ask *inhale* Spike" It whispered into my ear. I swung as hard as I could and hit it straight in the left eye. I quickly opened my eyes to see what it was. I regret that. The first thing I saw was a lavender eye and there is no mistaking who that was.
"TWILIGHT?" I whispered with almost no breath.
