Sequel to my story HALO: EQUESTRIA, Shade a UNSC Spartan follow him as he learns the ins and outs of a new world and a new timline
Life it has many curve balls thats what Shades father Six told him the day he left for the UNSC training camps. Shade took those words to heart on every mission and through everyday life its helped him in many cases but one day on a 'milk run' mission Shade is thrown the biggest curve ball in his life.....
Shade pushed the grate up and over enough for him to stick the camera through moving it around he counted three guards ground level, four guards on the cat walks, and a engineer plus two guards next to the nuke. Moving the camera around more he noticed crates of various sizes scattered around the hangar zooming in on a crate he read "UNSC PROPERTY SLIP SPACE ENGINE DANGER" grunting he sent the video to the awaiting ship far away from the complex.
Shade got a green light smiling he pulled the camera back and moved the grate back in place pulling out two silenced sub machine guns he began to move through the ducts until he reach one that place him behind a small stack of crates. Pushing the grate up and out of his way Shade jumped through the opening easily thanks to his MJOLNIR armor landing he pressed his back against the crates and began to move looking around the corner he waited till the two guards on the cat walk were next to each other. CLUNK looking up Shade saw a guard above him 'Don't look down.' Shade thought reaching into his breast pocket he pulled out a pack of cigarettes patting his pockets the man looked for his light aiming his guns Shade waited for him to do something........he looked down opening his mouth to scream Shade fired ten bullets ripped through his body blood spraying everywhere "HEY WHAT WAS THAT !!!" Shade heard a guard yell whipping around the corner Shade began to shoot the guards.
He took some damage but not much making his way over to the nuke he began to look over the schematics trying to figure out a way to diffuse it."Damn only if Solar was here she was always better at this." Shade muttered missing the engineer he had shot moving toward a shot gun reaching out he gripped the handle pulling it toward him. Shade pressed a few buttons and cut a wire "WARNING WARNING NUCLEAR BOMB HAS BEEN ARMED" Shade heard over intercoms "TEE MINUS 4 MINUTES TILL DETONATION."
"Shit need to-" Shade was cut off by the booming of a shot gun catching him in the shoulder slamming into the panel the panel sparked and smoked landing on his stomach he forced hims self over firing three shots at the engineer two shots hit him in the head the third missed Shade didn't know where it went. The bullet zipped past the mans head pinging off a metal poll it went straight to the Slip space engine ripping into the crate and damaging the controls causing it to jump start. Pulling himself up Shade began to try and diffuse the nuke furiously looking around for a different panel or some way to take out the arming device *BZZZZZZZZ* turning he saw a bluish purple light coming from the crate that the engine was in "Dammit its almost like I'm 1337"
(Location Ponyville)
Walking through the streets Twilight was talking to Applejack and Rarity about the recent activities they had been doing. Applejacks farm had gotten a new crop of apples from Eurasian area that her parents had sent them and they had been growing quite well, Rarity had just gotten a contract to make Nightmare Moons dress (by request of the newest princess), and Twilight was looking in the fluctuations of the magic around Ponyville. "Girls from the reading I'm getting its gonna be something coming here ?"
"You mean like Nightmare Moon before her reformation ?" Rarity asked adjusting her light purple shirt and dusting off her white jeans
"No when she was coming there were signs weeks before that happened these happened suddenly......and from what the i can guess this being will be coming soon."
"How soon do yah think ?" Applejack ask before Twilight could answer a deafening explosion ripped through the quiet night air of Ponyville then a black hole opened up 300 hundred feet in front of the three friends fire spewed from the hole along with high pitched winds "Twi is this it ?"
"I-i-i don't know but we need to close it Rarity-" Twilight was cut off by a loud screaming voice and a large figure flying through the hole skipping across the ground and into a shop looking at the figure the two girls shook it off and concentrated on the portal creating a dome around it sealing in the fire and gale force winds "AJ go see what that thing was." nodding she ran over to the shop.
Because of the commotion most of Ponyville took to the streets seeing the two unicorns holding the fire and wing at bay for a few more second before the portal collapsed into itself with a *WHUMP* huffing they dropped the spell. AJ walked through the rumble of the shop entrance hearing Pens Worth crying out about his shop and asking Twilight and Rarity what happened making her way through the ruble she found the figure clad in black armor from the build she could guess it was a pony but after that she didn't have a clue what it could be. Walking closer she notice that part of the 'helmet' had a grey reflective surface with cuts and scorch marks on it looking around she found a stick picking the stick up she began to poke the figure in the head.
(Shades POV)
'A one in a billion fucking chance and i get 1337's luck.' Shade thought as he regained consciousness sighing he heard a *THUNCK* *THUNCK* sound resonation through the helmet. Felling his head move slightly he could only guess somepony or somebody was poking him. Turning his head he saw Applejack poking him grunting he began to stand up she jumped back holding the stick like a bat and swinging grabbing it and ripping it from her grip he tried to talk but realized the external communicator that allowed him to speak clearly through the helmet was damaged. Grunting he dropped the sticks and held out his hands he stood a god meter and a half taller than her which he found odd he motioned that he meant no harm but she back away out of fear and ran out of the store towards her friends. Trying to follow her Shade grunted in pain looking at his shoulder he saw blood trickling down his arm and a lot 'How long was i in that portal i feel dizzy' Shade thought 'I need to find mom.' slowly making his way toward the exit he was met with the entire town.
Smiling he saw his mom ignoring the frightened look he stumbled forward falling to a knee he looked up and realized that was his mom but wasn't she didn't have the grey streaks in her mane on her hand the wedding ring she had gotten from his dad wasn't there and she was small and petite in size. Grunting he reach up with his good arm he pressed a button on the side of his helmet causing it to loosing with a hiss pulling it off he spoke "My name is Shade I'm a spartan of the UNSC........sorry about the-" Shade fell to the ground with a clunk causing a slight crack to form.
(Twilight POV)
Twilight moved close to the pony he was big his fur was black and his hair was purple with a few grey streaks before he had passed out she noticed his purple eyes. As she got closer she noticed that his right arm was injured turning she yelled "Somepony call the hospital we need an ambulance !" nodding a dark grey pegasus pulled out a cell phone and began to call them. Walking up behind the mare Rarity said "My word Twilight he looks slightly like you in the mane color and from earlier he has your eyes."
"I guess but we need to figure out how to get this stuff off him and then we can worry about how he got here and who he is." nodding Rarity began to scan him along with Twilight in the distance they heard the ambulance coming. "Found something !" Twilight quickly using her magic she click a few different switches causing the armor to hiss before segments popped off him or folded up slightly. Running over the EMTs began pulling the stallion out or trying it took all three of them and the tow unicorns just to move him out of the armor.
"I don't know what this guy has been eating but he needs to lay off." a grey stallion said wiping his hand together nodding the newest recruit said "Well maybe he has heavy bone density or something."
"Maybe newbie come on lets check him out." a dark brown stalling said walking over to the other the recruit looked up and saw a small spider on his partners shoulder "Um.......you have a spider on your shoulder."
"WAAAAAAAAAAH GET OFF KILL IT KILL IT !!!!" he screamed jumping around and wiping his shoulders off both EMT stared at him and chuckled "You will never live this down."
"Yes after running a few test on his body we can say three things about him princess," Doctor Stiches said as he looked over the charts the nurses had just handed looking up he could see the three princess and the elements of harmony looking at him "Okay 1. His body is built.........bigger than a normal ponies from what we can guess his muscles are extremely dense and tough, his bones are covered in a carbon steel like substance its not like anything we have ever seen before, 2 He is an omnivore from what we got from his DNA and the examination over his body, 3 His DNA is a hybrid strand with pony and something else what we can't tell but-"
"Doctor we just got his blood test back.......you should see this." Nurse Redheart said looking at the princesses specifically Twilight walking away quickly she went back to work "OH thats unexpected."
"What are you talking about ?" Twilight said looking at the doctor who looked up and seemed to be thinking "Doctor what is it ?"
"Ms. Sparkle when we received him three days ago we have run many test but yesterday i asked to run some blood see if he is in the system and if he has relatives."
"WELL DOES HE !?!?"
"Yes......and it can't be right.........your related to him from the test we can guess he is your son."
"WHAT !!!!!" Twilight yelled the doctor took a step back clearing his throat he held the clipboard out to the mare looking it over the charts, writing, and ETC all said that he was a Sparkle family member and her son "But thats impossible i've just started to see someone...........and he is older than me from the looks of things."
"WE ran that he is 25."
"Yes see three years older so how is this-"
"Twilight my student deep breathes we can ask him when he wakes up." Celestia said walking up to her student and placing a hand on her shoulder clearing her throat Nightmare Moon mumbled "If i may suggest we all could go into his mind and ask him."
"What you can't-" the doctor tried protesting only to be cut off by one of the elements of harmony who jumped in "Well you guys said he is in a coma like state and aren't people asleep in times like that ?" Pinkie said as she was in a lab coat and had cane everypony stared at causing her to giggle nodding the doc said "Yes but we don't know what he is dreaming about you all could be hurt !"
"Doc we got this !" Rainbow dash said flying up to him smiling blushing she added "Also don't think i'd die before dinner tonight."
Shaking his head Stitches agreed to let them in for 35 minutes but after that he would wake them up turning to leave he kissed Dash good bye and went to work. "My word Rainbow you sure know how to pick them." Rarity said smiling at he blushing friend nodding they all made there way into the room sitting/standing where there was room clearing her throat Nightmare Moon said "I don't know how this will go so be careful and stick together." they all nodded turning she began to weave the spell around the stallion and then themselves.
(Shades mind)
Looking out Shade watched the memories of his home him and Solar running through the town playing tag and hide and seek with there friends smiling he saw his mother and father laughing and having a good time. Standing up he slowly went through the town he was familiar UNSC members strolled throughout the town, colonist, ponies, and hybrids all spending the time together sighing Shade clicked his fingers making them all disappear looking up he remembered the first time he cast a spell his mother was so happy and perplexed he couldn't help but laugh. "Whats so funny mister ?" he heard a bubbly voice turning he saw the elements of harmony, two princesses of equestria and a third alicorn he recognized from his mothers stories seeing the pink mare he smiled "Nothing just some old memories."
"This is Ponyville but its not." Twilight said staring at a few UNSC stores in awe chuckling Shade turned looking to the sky he felt a tear fall down his cheek "Your right Twilight its not this is MY Ponyville from what you can guess I'm not from this world............well this dimension to be exact."
"What does thou mean." Luna asked quite confused by the stallions word turning he smiled and motioned for them to follow him to a building that looked like a cinema "Come lets watch a movie."
"OOOOOOHHHHH whats is about ?" Pinkie said jumping onto the back of the stallion who was unfazed by her weight or her landing continuing to walk he said "Me we are gonna watch some memories to try and explain who i am, where i came from and maybe how i got here."
"SOUNDS GREAT !" Pinkie said as they walked opening the door he held it there for the mares getting thank yous from each of them watching them pass by Shade couldn't help but stare at the black alicorn that wasn't Luna sighing he spoke up "Before we go in a was a soldier so some of my memories my be.........a little violent."
(A time later)
Sitting in Shades 'house' the ponies began to ask questions and he answered them sitting back he rubbed he shoulder as it was sore. Chuckling he watched as his 'Mother' asked him question after question raising up a hand he said "Twilight you saw most of my memories you could go and re watch them but yes in a different world your a ONI agent and a damn good one your married to a human and have have three kids including me."
"But its just crazy i mean-"
"TWILIGHT please stop I'm tired now and i still am trying to figure out how I'm not dead." Shade said not sounding angry or annoyed just bored smiling sheepishly she said "Sorry but why should you think I'm dead ?"
"Well front the memories you could see i was mere inches from a nuke and five feet from a slip space engine that tears into a rift in space.........so basically i should either be on a distant planet, asteroid, or floating in vacuum or just a pile of dust."
"But here you are."Princess Celestia said eye the stallion that stood as tall as her he was built well lean and muscular from the t-shirt she could see some scars and a tattoo of sorts on his right forearm it read "SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM" and it was in such a way it looked to be branded onto his skin. Nodding he stood up and said "Well since this happened i can wake up."
"Wait your still in a coma dude !"
"Y-y-y-yes how are you going to-"
(Hospital room) "Like this I'm a very powerful mage once you run your test you'll be able to tell." Shade said smiling at the stunned mares he crossed his arms and laid back down. Staring at the stallion the mares wanted to keep asking questions till they noticed his tired look turning he said "Sorry but i really need to sleep seeya guys tomorrow."
Shade stretched his body he sat in his old house...........in Twilights house staring at the different areas remembering the times he spent with his two sisters and his parents. Sighing he rubbed his eyes tiredly turning he saw Spike staring at him with an angry look "What ?"
"I don't like you." Spike said crossing his arms he was 16 in this world so it was odd for Shade to be looking down on someone who resembles his uncle "Why would that be its not my fault i was thrown into this world six days ago."
"Pffft whatever you have my sister freaking out worrying how her colt friend will think of her and we know next to nothing about you !"
"Well 1 YOU know next to nothing about me i showed the three princesses and the elements ALL of my memories 2 I really don't care about something like Twilight dating and if the dude breaks of because some guy from a totally dimension crashes into the world......that would be a first.......and 3 I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK." Shade growled the last part standing up to his full height causing the young drake to back up out of fear and leave the room. Sighing Shade sat back down and began to think what his friends and family were doing ".............Where.........................MY SON !" snapping his head up Shade reached out to his communicator one of the few things he got to keep from his world placing it in his ear he said "Mom?"
"SHADE..........ALIVE ?"
"Yes I am your breaking up !" Shade said standing up using his magic he tried to boost the signal how this was working he couldn't figure it out and he really didn't care "Shade can you hear me ?"
"Yes i boosted the signal but i don't know for how long !"
"Where are you honey ?"
"...............Mom where are you ?"
"At the mission sight its just a crater there is nothing left." placing his hand over his mouth Shade felt tears roll down his cheeks "Mom is there anything there at all ?"
"Besides a odd energy signal no..........now where are you ?"
"Mom i had 1337 luck and was thrown into a alternate dimension..........I'm home."
"Honey please tell me your joking." Shade heard his mother cry her voice began to crack gulping Shade took a deep breathe "No ma'am i'm afraid not i don't know how or why but...............i'm sorry and i love you."
"Shade don't your dare say goodbye we can bring you back m-"
"MOM STOP...............JUST STOP you can't do this just let it go i'm gone."
"Shade...........i-i-i-i-i-i c-c-can't lose-"
"Mom whats wrong" Shade heard in the background from his guess it was his youngest sister Maria "I-i-i-its your brother." Shade heard his mother say he heard rustling then his sisters crystal like voice "Shade what did you say to mom she's breaking down Solar is carrying her back !"
"Maria i'm sorry i'm so sorry but i'm not coming home."
"W-what your joking is this about last year cause i-"
"No its not Maria your a good soldier and a great spartan i love you all so i have a order for you watch mom and don't leave her side."
"Shade your making this sound like your going to die where are you maybe-"
"You can't the nuke and slipspace engine sent me to another dimension entirely so unless your 100% sure you can recreate the same thing that happened to pull me back."
"No even Halsey couldn't do something like that."
"Look i love you Maria please follow my order, and tell everybody i'm sorry and i love them all."
"My times up your breaking up Spartan Shade over and out."
"..........................................." sighing Shade took the COM out of his ear looking down he crushed it in his palm standing up he tossed the pieces into the trash walking upstairs he went to the room he was given and went to bed.
(Maria and family)
"What do you mean Maria ?" Solar asked as she set their mother down on her bed in her cabin turning she saw Maria had tears going down her cheeks "Shade is gone sis he said that he was in some other dimension ." Solar looked down at the ground feeling tears well up in her eyes thats when she felt a hand on her looking up she saw her sister a pale grey earth pony with bright purple hair and deep grey eyes looking up at her "He said to tell everybody he was sorry and that he loves us."
At those words Solar fell to her knees sobbing at the news of losing her younger brother cupping her face in her hands she wailed into them while Maria held her close talking to her softly.
(Shade)
Opening his eyes Shade stared at the ceiling his eyes blood shot from the tears that seemed to keep coming no matter what swinging his legs off the bed he stood up. looking outside he smiled "This is a sad time in my life.......but at least I'm alive to experience this world." walking down stairs he saw Twilight standing by the door looking up from her phone she said "Oh i was about to come get you Pinkie-"
"Wants me to 'help' out at the store right ?"
"Yeah how did you know ?"
"If your remember my dimension has a Pinkie to."
"Oh right." Twilight said blushing at her mistake chuckling Shade opened the door allowing Twilight to walk through it then he followed behind her looking down at her he said "So what did you and the princesses decide to do with me ?"
"Well you seem harmless...........even if your past says other wise."
"Hahahaha yeah but don't worry i'm not some crazy person going around attacking ponies."
"Person ?"
"Huh oh yeah its what humans use to describe well a human."
"ahhhhhh yes like the one the other me is married to."
"Yep...........look i'm not going to try and treat you like my mom and i won't make that mistake and i won't get in your life anymore than i already am."
"Thats not what-"
"Spike is still growing up i can tell from his attitude........does he still have a crush on Rarity ?"
"Huh yeah how did you know ?"
"Same in my world except now he is married to Sapphire Shores ?"
"The singer !?"
"She's a singer here ?"
"Yeah what is she in your world ?"
"Bar owner."
"Oh wow how did they ?"
"Drinking Rarity broke the news and he took it harder than needed went to the bar was going to drink saw that she was taking shit from stallion and guy he beat the shit out of them."
"Did you meet her ?"
"Yeah they married when i was four i met her when she and him watch me at one."
"wow three-"
"Oh no they dated for five years before Spike asked her apparently he wanted to ask her at three but couldn't.............what did he say oh yeah ' I need to find a gym that matches her beauty and it needs to be the right color to match her personality.' "
"Wow that sounds like Spike..........we're here." Twilight said turning to Shade she smiled at him "You ready ?"
"Yeah time i was introduced to this world."
(30 minutes)
Shade was sitting and talking with multiple mares that found him interesting smiling he used some of the lines Greg taught him her earned giggles and laughs from them one of the mares reached over and rubbed his forearm. Looking up Shade saw two stallions walk up glaring him down growling the one on the right a huge earth pony that was a light tan color said "So you think you so big ?"
"Um who are you guys ?"
"My names Brick."
"Mah name is Boulder." the dark gray one said looking down at Shade the mares had moved behind Shade looking at the two stallions with a mix of fear and disgust leaning in a light blue pegasus whispered quietly so the two couldn't hear "Me and my friends have been stalked by these guys for a while could you help.......and sorry "
"Its all right." Shade whispered kissing her on the cheek catching her off guard and making the mares jealous and stallions angry slamming a fist into the table Brick snarled "Hey get you're hands off her !!!"
"Why ?"
"Cause she is mine !"
"A little possessive don't you think bricky my friend ?" Shade said pushing the mare back Brick swung catching him in the jaw falling out of his seat Shade rolled back to his feet watching as Brick and Boulder circled him smiling he got low in a fighting stance. Brick rushed the Shade trying to tackle him rolling under him Shade twisted kicking him in the gut causing said stallion to fly into the ceiling then fall back to the ground growning in pain. Standing up shade cracked his knuckles looking at Boulder he smiled at him motioning for the stallion to bring it. turning he ran out of the building leaving a trail of dust behind him sighting the turned to the party and said "Sorry bout that so can somepony call 911 ?"
Looking out the window as the landscape race by Shade sighed remembering the trips he took with his family to Canterlot...........looking up he began to wonder what could be different about that city who would be different. Leaning back he rested his began to drift off to sleep when the door opened expecting Twilight or one of her friends he looked up to see...............Fluer Di Lis one of the universes greatest models grumbling he wondered if she was the same air headed fool like the one from his world. Looking around she asked "Is anypony traveling with you sir ?"
"No ma'am just me in the compartment."
"Oh do you mind if i join you ?"
"Sure my names Shade." He said offering the seat across from getting a closer look at this Fluer he could tell she was different no heavy amount of make up, no expensive clothes, and she held a air of integrity around her. Sighing she sat down "Thank you when i was going to my compartment it was surrounded by reporters so i was looking for a place to hide the one seemed quiet."
"So you walked in hoping."
"Yes i'm terribly sorry if i'm bothering you oh i haven't given my name." she said shaking her head looking back up she said "Its Fluer De Lis."
"Hows it spelled ?"
"F-l-u-e-r D-e L-i-s." She said smiling gently at him nodding Shade noted a difference names and personality his Fluer would have never given her name to a 'common' soldier sighing he asked "So Ms. De Lis what do you do ?"
"Hmmm oh well i'm a model and i help with my father from time to time."
"If you don't mind me asking who is your father and what does he do ?"
"I don't but first tell me what you do ?"
"Hmmmm sounds fare i'm a soldier."
"Well my father is Fancy Pants and he is a nobel at the moment he is pretty ill so i'm helping him with a negation."
"Sounds fun but what about modeling ?" Shade asked brushing some lint off his grey dress shirt and black tie this would prove whether or not she was like the Fluer Di Lis from his world "I like it but i rather be helping my father with his job."
"Ahhh want to try and help the world."
"hahaha no no nothing that big just want to make living easier in some areas of the country especially for the farmers of our nation."
"Yeah they do provide us with food."
"That they do.........so why are you going to the capital ?" Fluer asked leaning forward Shade hadn't notice but she was rather developed and her shirt low cut looking out the window he sighed nervously before saying "One of my friends wants to take me to Canterlot."
"Who might that-" Fluer began before being cut off by Twilight barging in "Shade we're almost to Canterlot are you ready ?" nodding Shade said "Yeah Twilight i am."
"Twilight Sparkle its been to long !" turning Twilight saw Fluer Standing up and hugging her caught off guard Twilight stuttered "Fluer w-w-w-what are you doing here !?!?"
"Father wanted me to talk to the princesses about a project so i take it Shade this is your friend ?"
"Yeah she is how do you two know each other ?"
"We were childhood friends before i moved out to Las Pegasus." she said pushing Twilight back slightly to get a look at her "So Twilight is he-"
"No i'm not she's dating a Flash Sentry.........i'm not really on the dating scene." Shade cut in looking out the window simply watching the scenery pass by nodding Fluer said "So i guess we all could go and meet them together how does that sound !"
"Its good we could catch up its been to long sense i've gotten a letter from you Fluer." Twilight said nodding smiling Fluer used a spell to teleport to her compartment sighing Twilight looked at Shade who had a slightly confused look on his face "What is it Shade ?"
"You really good friends with her !"
"Well yeah we grew up and i saw her as a sister she protected me, played games among other things before she move."
"How much older is she than you ?"
"um two year but why are you shocked and asking these questions ?" Twilight asked leaning over staring Shade in his yes looking at his feet he said "Um just curious...........plus in my dimension you two hated each other."
"Well it couldn't-"
"When she crashed your wedding the ONI you broke her leg and literally threw her out of your own wedding."
"Really why would i do that ?"
"From what i could guess she was a bully to you and stole colt friends from you through school.........well thats was spike said."
"Oh...........well here she is a good person and from what i can see you can tell that." his face turning red Shade shook his head and said "Its just hot here and we talked for a bit." smiling smugly she stood up and said "Well you have plenty of time to get to know her."
Turning she began to walk out of the compartment before she left turning she said "Oh and she said in a letter she has a soft spot soldiers.
(hour later)
Walking up to the castle Shade began to look at the guards, gate, and fence sighing at how it all felt familiar yet so alien at the same time sighing he began to follow Twilight and Fluer into the castle. Slowly following them Shades mind went back to the times that he visited it with his family the towers, garden but the favorite part was the lake that he and his father used to fish in. Stopping Shade looked outside smiling he opened the window jumping down he began to make his way to the lake to see if it was there. Walking through the hallways Twilight and Fluer were talking and telling stories about what they had been up to through the years that they were apart smiling Twilight said "Well looks like we reached the chambers time to talk to the princesses."
"Yes i'll let you talk about what you need first."
"Thank you Fluer." Twilight said pushing the doors open to show the three princesses of Equestria sitting on their respective thrones "Princesses its good to see you."
It its good to see you to my student."
"Yes well me and Shade have come to discuss his citizenship amongst other things."
"That is a good idea Twilight but where is Shade ?" Celestia asked waving her arm out to indicate that Shade was not behind her turning Twilight began to hyperventilate and with a sudden surge of magic she screamed "Shade where are you !?"
(Lake)
Shade was sitting under a oak tree with a fishing pole stuck into the ground next to him and the bobber slowly bouncing in the lake with the small wakes that were generated seemingly out of nowhere. Shade watched as the bobber went under the water quickly grabbing the pole he began to real the fish in just as he was about to pull in said fish a scream rang out over the castle "Shade where are you !?"
Looking back Shade saw the bobber completely out of the was missing the hook sighing he said "Better find a-" suddenly appearing inside the throne room he quickly changed the sentence "-a faster way to the throne room." looking around he noticed that he was getting amused looks from four out of the five mares in the room the fifth giving him a death glare that could take down a brute.
(hour and a half later)
Shade was rubbing his temples after the screaming from Twilight about how he shouldn't wonder off and how he needs to let them know if he was going to- then some stuff happened Shade tuned it out he may be a soldier but he is still a hybrid with boredom and certain abilities of how much of a boring speech he could take. Walking around the castle he heard a commotion "Come on Fluer you know that your gonna have to marry soon."
"Yes and I rather it be to somepony who care for who I am not for money or reputation Blue Blood." Fluer said walking around the corner Shade saw Fluer being pushed into a corner by Blue Blood "Listen her you little whore its either you start going out with me or I- WHOA !" Shade picked Blue Blood up by the collar of his shirt and threw him across the room landing on his back. Sitting up Blue Blood snarled "Who ever did that will rot in the dungeons."
"Really now i'll like to see you try Blue." Shade snarled back looking down at Blue Blood using a spell he learn he turned the whites of his eyes black and his irises crimson red glaring down at him "Y-y-y-your a m-m-m-monster !"
"Yes I am now you should run." Shade snarled turning back to Fluer he heard the sound of running chuckling he sighed looking at Fluer he saw a bruise on her cheek and wrist walking foreward he took out some medical supplies he still had on him smiling at her he said "Can I see those bruises ?"
"Shade the bruises are fine I don't need-"
"Yes you do Fluer they may be bruises but people with begin to ask questions and as much as I would like to see that Blue balled ass wipe be sent to the dungeons people will begin to question if he had done anything else like this in the past so i'm trying to protect the princesses............also I want to see that beautiful face of yours without that ugly bruise."
"O-okay." she said offering him her arm guiding her to a chair he began to apply the ointment looking at his face Fluer couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked blushing she turned away slightly looking at him through the corner of her eye.
Walking back to her room Fleur couldn't get Shade out of her head yes he was about her age, he was tall, strong, generous, and seemed quite intelligent but he had this sense of danger around him. Opening the door to her room she saw Twilight sitting on the bed reading a book looking up she smiled "Hey Fleur I figured you would want to catch up a little before bed."
"Sounds wonderful Twilight lets do that." Fleur said walking up to her friend and falling onto the bed wincing a little as her face touch the bed remember what Shade said "The bruise will be gone but that doesn't mean the area will be healed it'll still be a bit tender' sighing she mumbled "I should of listened to him."
"Listened to who ?"
"Huh oh Shade I got into a confrontation and he helped with a couple of bruises I had and gave me some good advice."
"Wait bruises, Fleur what happened ?" Twilight said getting closer to her friend grunting Fleur remember the so called 'talk' "Well Blueblood got a bit angry when I blew him off about dating him and before things could go bad Shade showed up and scared the dick off."
"What ! why didn't you tell me or the princ-" Twilight was silenced by a finger being place over her mouth and a stern look "To tell you the truth he scares me and I worry what he would do to retaliate if I-I did this."
"But Fleur you-"
"I know.........could we discuss something else PLEASE ?"
"Sure so how is the business going ?"
"Good good couldn't be better dearie how about you how is this coltfriend of yours ?"
"Oh he is wonderful but before I continue do you have anypony your interested in ?"
"N-n-not at the m--moment." Fleur stuttered
(Later that night)
*KNOCK**KNOCK* Shaking herself awake Fleur swung her legs over the edge of the bed "Who is it ?" she mumbled loud enough for the pony to here "Its shade I came to check up on you." she heard from the other side blushing she looked down at herself dressed in a slightly revealing night gown 'What if he likes this ?"
'What if he thinks i'm some easy fluezy ?" Fleur thought back to herself
'Well he is a gentlecolt why would he think that about you.'
'True but he didn't really seem interested.'
'Well how about we see if this interest him.' the more perverted side thought nodding slightly Fleur edged the door open "Shade what did-" she stopped standing on the other side of the door wasn't Shade but Blueblood jumping forward he jammed a syringe into her arm injecting a clear liquid. Turning to run Fleur tripped over her own feet trying to crawl away at this point she felt a strong grip on the back of her neck "Now now Fleur why are you trying to run." Blue blood said smiling hungrily down at her picking her up he threw her onto the bed landing Fleur desperately tried to move failing miserably "Now I think your wondering 'why can't I move' well let me answer that for you I injected you with some manticore poison now a lethal dose would kill anypony but-" pausing he looked over the mares body licking his lips "-in small amounts it can paralyze somepony and remain aware of there surroundings and now i'm going to rock your- GCK !!"
Looking behind him Blueblood saw Shade with a murderous look in his eyes along with two other guards looking down he saw a knife jutting out of his lower spine. Falling to the ground Blueblood was forced to stare up at the demon as it stare back unblinking and in a monotone voice it said "Get her to the infirmary I have something to discuss with Blueblood."
"Y-y-yes S-s-sir." the closest guard said carefully scooping up the mare turning to the demon whispered something that Blueblood couldn't here. After a few moments Blueblood heard the door close walking forward the demon bent down snarling it said "You my boy are gonna EVER regret coming in here."
(Morning)
Fleur woke up gasping she jumped up and looked around she was in the infirmary after recalling last nights events she shuddered and fell back into bed 'If Shade hadn't been there I-I-I-I -' her thoughts were interrupted by a hand running through her mane gently turning she saw Shade with a slightly tired look in his eyes smiling he said "Hey saw that you woke up are you-" he was cut off by the mare grabbing him and bringing him into a bone crushing hug tears streaming down her face. Looking down at the mare he adjusted himself to be a little more comfortable moving her onto his lap he did what he saw his father do at him when they would watch a movie running his hands through her mane he whispered "Don't worry about cause every little thing will be alright-" feeling her shaking he began to sing the bob marley song more until she calmed down to the end looking down he smiled and said "So are you alright ?"
"*hiccup* Yes I-I-I think i'll be fine thank you for staying with me." Fleur said looking up at him with red puffy eyes looking deep into Shades deep indigo eyes she moved forward reaching out. Staring down at Fleur Shade didn't know what compelled his body to move forward but doing so he turned his head to the right slightly as he saw Fleur move hers to the left as they made contact the world seemed to stop everything around them fell out of sight all that remained was the two and what they felt for each other.
Puling away the two panted slightly looking around Shade saw that no one had walked in sighing he said "So Fleur what does this mean was that a thank you or-"
"Tomorrow night around 7:30 we'll have dinner and that'll be our first date this right here was just a trial run." she said all business like ears flattening against his skull Shade mumbled "Yes ma'm."
"Don't be flustered now as comfortable as I am I would like you to leave so I may change." nodding Shade picked the mare up off him and moved her to the right careful as not to accidently dislodge the gown and Fleurs 'goods' so to speak fall out "I'll be going........and I look forward to our date." Shade said turning he left the room
Placing a silencing spell on the room around her Fleur shouted "YES !!!"
Fleur and Shade were sitting down at a small restaurant Fleur's mouth was slightly agape while Shade had a slightly embarrassed look on his face. Coughing slightly he looked at the mare in front of him sighing he said "Look I know its hard to digest but its true Fleur, I figured that telling the truth would be a good start."
"Shade I mean you are larger than most stallions but you saying that your from another dimension its just-"
"Insane ?"
"Yes I mean you don't have any-" Fleur was cut off by Shade placing a bottle on the table looking at it the bottle she gingerly reach out and picked it up Fleur did take some classes about certain potions that had properties of forcing people to tell the truth and this one was powerful "So you drank this ?"
"Yep it was made by Celestia herself and I drank it." Shade said as he looked down at the table sighing Fleur rubbed her eyes and said "Okay since you took this and since you don't seem like the lying type of stallion I'll believe you for now BUT as soon as we get back to the castle I'M going to ask Celestia."
"Sounds good so how did you get into the modeling business ?" Shade asked sitting back slightly smiling looking at him Fleur blushed a little remembering the story "Its a very long story Shade."
"Hmmm I bet but if you don't want to tell me-"
"No I want to tell you its just I was warning you that's all."
"It can't be that long."
(Half an hour later)
"......and that's how I got started." Fleur said finishing her story smiling Shade looked down at his food then back at her shaking his head he chuckled a little and said "Wow your right that was a long story but not the longest I've ever heard."
"What was the longest story ?"
"One about my parents man that one took like three days to finish." Shad said shuddering slightly at the memory of having to sit on that couch and listen to his parents drone on "But its nice that you did it for your mother."
"Yeah she was the best......" Fleur grew especially quiet after that sighing Shade scratched the back of his head realizing how awkward he had made it opening his mouth he was about to ask a question when a massive *BOOOOOM* shook the restaurants interior and blowing out the windows. Pushing the table to the side Shade grabbed Fleur and brought her into his body as he cast a shield spell hearing the sound of glass and debris pinging off the shield Shade looked behind him to see asphalt, glass and other things littering the restaurants floor but nopony was hurt sighing he looked down at Fleur and asked "Hey you okay ?"
"H-h-h-h-huh !?!?!" she said scared out of her mind shaking like a leaf looking around Shade noticed a bag laying on the floor grabbing it and cleaning it off with his magic he handed to Fleur. Grabbing the bag from him she began to breathe heavily into it causing the bag to expand then deflate incredibly fast after few minute's Shade heard the sound of sirens racing towards them picking Fleur up he began to carry her out side when he grunted in pain looking down he noticed a rather large piece of glass sticking out of his side.
(1 hour later)
Sitting in the hospital ER Shade had managed to get the shard removed from his side and then stitched up which was a plus but the pain when ever he moved was worse than when he had the shard in him. Sighing he looked around bored out of his mind since he had no family or friends to speak of or even a medical history the doctors were running test after test to learn about him so they could add him to the system. Activating his magic Shade began to imagine different forms for the magic slowly changing into animals and objects then they began to pick up in tempo changing into things Shade knew grunts, elites, marines and odst's danced through his vision smiling Shade slowly cut off the magic thinking back to what he would be doing back in his own dimension. Hearing the sound of knocking Shade turned and looked at the door seeing a doctor walk in he was an older earth stallion with a neatly trimmed goatee and short blue black mane his fur was a deep grey smiling he said "Hello I'm Dr. ER its nice to see you moving around Shade."
"Yes well from the scans that we have done say that your injuries are nice and not looking like they are gonna open up unless you do anything strenuous so take it easy."
"Yes sir." Shade said standing up at his full height looking down slightly at the man Shade nodded and moved past him toward the door and made his way to the waiting room. Turning the corner Shade saw Fleur and Twilight sitting in the room waiting for news walking up he said "Hey girls you miss me ?"
"SHADE !" both exclaimed running forward Fleur wrapped her arms around the man hugging him tightly he felt her shacking wrapping his arms around her he said "I'm fine Fleur you don't have to worry about me it was just a scratch."
"It wasn't just a scratch Shade !!" Twilight said walking up to him she pushed a finger into his chest and continued "You were bleeding badly the doctor said it was a miracle you were able to get this far and even more of one for you to be able to move !"
