> Raising Rainbows > by DGGames > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Sunday at Fluttershys > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Sun shone brightly into Twilight Sparkle`s window as Celestia raised it high into the sky. Twilight covered her eyes with her blanket. "Mommy, Mommy. Wake Up, Wake Up!!" The little rainbow maned filly cried as she jumped on Twilight's bed. "5 more minutes dear." Twilight groaned. "Bu...but Mommy. Were gonna be late for Auntie Flutta-shy!" the Filly began to whine. "Alright Rainb.....Dashie, I'm getting up." Twilight says, hesitant on using Rainbow Dash's name. She quickly flashed back to the events of the past week. After attempting an extremely hard stunt, Rainbow Dash crashed into the ground, completely damaging her mind. A week passed by taking care of Rainbow Dash, who was more or less a toddler in a full grown mare's body. Finally Celestia decided that since she couldn't take Rainbow away from Twilight, she had to make the situation better for everyone, and physically regress Rainbow Dash into a filly. Now younger than the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but a year or two older than the Cake Twins, Rainbow Dash basically had to grow up all over again. Rainbow giggled, jumping off the bed, landing in a heap on the floor. The rambunctious little filly shook it off, quickly getting back on her hooves. "You want breakfast first, Dashie?" Twilight asked, now awoken by the loud thump Dashie had caused. “Yeah! Pancakes!” She shouted, flapping her wings a bit in excitement. "Alright, pancakes it is. Can you fly there on your own? Or do you want some help?" Twilight asks, knowing Dashie likes to do things on her own. “Fly mommy!”She said flapping her wings more, hovering a few inches off the ground. "You're adorable." Twilight chuckles, rubbing Rainbow on the head. She sticks her hooves underneath Rainbow, giving her a slight boost in the air. "Spike!" "Already ahead of you Twilight!" Spike says, as he places a couple plates of pancakes on the table. Rainbow giggled, fluttering downstairs. “Hurry mommy!” She shouted, zipping into the kitchen. Twilight chuckles to herself, slowly following Rainbow into the kitchen. That filly was going to be a Wonderbolt someday. Twilight sits down to eat, helping Rainbow by cutting up her pancakes. "So Twilight," Spike begins, after rolling a pancake into a tube and slipping it into his mouth. He chews it, then swallows it up. "What did you and Dashie plan on doing today?" "Well, if you must know Spike.." “We going to Auntie Flutta-shys!” Dash shouted, jumping up and down in her chair. "Dashie, what did I tell you about interrupting ponies?" Twilight lightly scolded. “Sowwy mommy.”She said looking down, her ears drooping. "It's alright. you just need to learn manners." Twilight said, trying to cheer Dashie up. "Now how about Tank. Do you wanna see your buddy Tank?" “Yeah! I wuv tank!” She said nodding her head, her ears perking up. "Then finish up quick, and let's go see Tank." Twilight says, finishing her pancakes. "Alright then you two. I'll clean up, you two have fun alright?" He said, grabbing all of the plates and bringing them into the kitchen. Since Rainbow Dash had been turned into a filly, he had been much happier. Less books on the floor to clean up. He walked to the sink with a bounce in his step. Rainbow jumped off her chair, scampering over to Twilight, tugging on her tail. “Come on mommy!” "Dashie, I'm coming, i'm coming. Hold your hooves." Twilight said, having her tail pulled hard. Twilight trotted over to the door, grabbed her saddlebags and made sure Dashie was all ready to go. "Fillies first." Twilight ushered Dashie out the door, making sure to close it as she left. Rainbow dashed off, laughing happily. She spotted Scootaloo, rushing over to her. “Hi!” She chirped, giving her a sweet smile. "Oh hey Rainb.... Dashie!" Scootaloo stutters, giving a hug to a very cheery Dash filly. "What are you so happy about?" Twilight took the time, and noticed a bench a couple feet away. While she waited for Scootaloo and Dashie to finish playing and talking, she decided to go over and take a seat. “We’re going to Auntie-” RD began, stopping when another voice cut in. "BLANK FLANK!" A voice can be heard from behind, none other than Diamond Tiara, who hadn't noticed Twilight sitting on a bench mere feet away. "Can't you take a hint, Diamond Tiara?" Scootaloo asks. "Take a hint? Silly Scootaloo, everypony knows you're a loser, you don't have to hint at it." Diamond Tiara laughs. "You're such a loser, even the little mental filly has a cutie mark and you don't." She gloats, not noticing a cyan colored filly about to cry. "I...I wouldn't have done that." Scootaloo says, giving Rainbow a hug. "What are you going to do? Cry for mommy?" She asked Scootaloo. "You know how pathetic you are? You and your blank flank friends have been trying to get your cutie marks for what, 2 years now? Ha!" She scoffed. “M-mommy!” Rainbow shouted out, burying her face into Scootaloo’s fur, crying her eyes out. Diamond Tiara stepped back, after looking over by the bench where Twilight sat. She tried to run off, but was caught in Twilight's magic. "What happened Dashie? What's wrong?" Twilight asked. “S-she’s being mean!” Rainbow shouted, pointing a shaking hoof at Diamond Tiara. "Is this true?" Twilight asked Diamond Tiara. "N..No!" Diamond Tiara screamed, trying to get away from the princess, but to no avail. "How was she mean?" Twilight asked the orange and purple filly. "She makes fun of Sweetie Belle, Applebloom and I everyday, and she called Dashie mental." Scootaloo said, giving Rainbow Dash a huge hug. "Shoo, you're nothing but a pest it seems. I'm going to have a talk with your father tonight. Until then, you make fun of my daughter or her friends ever again. I don't care what your father says, you will be punished. Do you understand?" "Y...yes." Diamond Tiara stuttered as she got her tail back. She trotted off as fast as her hooves could carry her. "That. Was. Awesome!" Scootaloo says, mimicking how RD used to say it, as she continued to hug her. "I'm sorry scootaloo, but Dashie and I have to go, we have to get to Fluttershys' by midday." Twilight said, making room on her back for Dashie. Twilight levitated Dashie onto her back, and set her on. "Now wipe those tears, you all ready to go?" She asked “O-ok...” Dash said nodding her head. “Bye scootawoo.” She said waving. "Bye squirt, see you later!" Scootaloo waved. Twilight finally trotted up to Fluttershy's cottage. She knocked on the door. After a few moments, Fluttershy opened the door. "Oh hey Twilight! I almost thought you weren't going to be able to make it!" Fluttershy exclaimed. "Hey Dashie! How's my favorite little filly?" “Somepony was mean to me...” Dash said, moving over to Fluttershy, giving her a tight hug. "Aww, that's no good, we can't be having that can we?" Fluttershy asked, returning the hug. Its at that point, that everyone could hear the clipping of helicopter wings. “Tank!” She said, breaking from Fluttershy’s embrace, her sadness temporarily forgotten. Tank flew over to the filly. It took him a couple moments to recognize who she was, but he gave her a huge hug. “Hey Tank! Let’s go play!” Rainbow said, fluttering off, with Tank close in tow. “So Twilight.” Fluttershy asked, as the two sat on the couch. “How you been holding up?” “Oh, pretty well. Rainbow has been a bit of trouble, but not as much as when she was bigger. Celestia was completely right in it being a good idea to physically turn her into a filly.” Twilight stated. “By the way, do you have any tea or anything? I’m parched.” “Of course, what kind would you like?” She asked, hopping out of her seat, going into the kitchen. “Grey Earl, if you have any please.” “Of course.” She said giving her a smile, putting the kettle on the stove. She came out a few minutes later, balancing the tray across her back, using her wings to keep it in place. "Thanks Fluttershy." Twilight said, before she she took a sip. “You’re welcome.” She said taking her seat, sipping at her tea. "You know, I've actually been worried." “Oh my. You can tell me what’s bothering you..that is if you want too.” She said, hiding behind her mane. "Without Rainbow, what happens if there's another evil? We need Rainbow Dash." Twilight said, her cup shaking a bit. “But Rainbow Dash is still here..” She said blinking "But she's a filly. I don't even think she knows the true meaning of loyalty anymore." “I don’t think you’re giving her enough credit.” She said, her voice a whisper. "It’s probably just my thoughts... but I'm worried." Twilight replied. “I think you should have more faith in her.” "I think you're right." Twilight says, looking at the pictures on the wall. "I didn't know you knew Gilda personally." “Oh um..we knew each other briefly in flight school.” She said, looking at the picture. "Oh." Twilight said. Both mares heard a crash from the kitchen. Twilight and Fluttershy looked at each other. They ran into the Kitchen, to find Rainbow on the ground, pots and pans all over the floor, and on top of RD's head. "Ugh, what happened?" Rainbow Dash moaned. She removed the pot from her head, and looked up at Twilight. Something in her brain simply clicked. "Egghead?" > Retribution > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “You disappoint me, Chrysalis.” The booming voice echoed throughout the massive cavern, shaking it’s walls. “I gave you one simple task and you utterly fail it.” The enormous dragon head scolded, rising up from the vast abyss in front of the changeling queen. “I swear, give me one more chance, I can do better!” Chrysalis begged the dragon, the once intimidating queen now groveling like a scared filly. “I don’t see why I should, you are a failure of a creation.” He snarled, his burning eyes dripping magma, illuminating the cavern. “Please. Please!” she cried. “I think it is time I find someone else to lead my changelings.” He declared, opening his mouth, starting to drain the queen of her strength and age. “NOOO!” Crysalis screams, as she begins to shrink, her crown falling off of her head with a clang. “Egghead?” Rainbow Dash asks. “Dashie? Are you alright?” Twilight runs into the kitchen, worried. “W-what's going on?” Dash asked, looking around, rather confused. Why the hay was everything so big? “Rainbow Dash?” Twilight asks. “Twi? Why are you so big?” She asked tilting her head. “Rainbow Dash?” Fluttershy walks up behind Twilight. “Will somepony tell me what’s going on!?” Dash asked, flying up to look her friends in the eyes. “Dashie!” Fluttershy cried as she hugged her friend tightly. “You’re back!” tears started forming in her eyes. “What is going on!?” Dash demanded, getting annoyed. Twilight hesitated, rubbing her left hoof with her right hoof. “I’m not going to ask again.” Dash said, pulling out of Fluttershy’s grasp, hovering in front of Twilight’s face. “You had an accident about two weeks ago. Your brain was damaged.” Twilight said, shyly. “I what?” She asked blinking. “My brain is just fine thank you!” “It seems now it is, but for the past two weeks, you've been acting like a small filly. Celestia decided for your own safety to physically regress you. You looked like you were never going to come back. I’m sorry.” “She did what!” Dash asked, her eyes going wide with horror. She stared down at herself, her jaw dropping. “This isn’t real!” She said shaking her head. “It is, and there’s no way to reverse it. I-I’m so sorry.” Twilight said. “This is just a dream.” Dash said dropping to the ground, shaking her head vigorously. Twilight goes over and pinches Rainbow Dash with her magic, to prove it’s not a dream. She cried out, breaking down into sobs, curling up into a tight ball. “Shh Rainbow.” Twilight says, picking her up and rocking her back and forth. ‘It will be alright.” “No it won’t! My life is ruined!” She shouted, burying her face in Twilight’s fur. “No It’s not Dashie. The only difference now is that you're a filly. You’re still the awesome Rainbow Dash we all know and love.” Twilight said, trying to comfort Rainbow. “Don’t call me Dashie!” Dash shouted, glaring up at her. “But Dashie!” Twilight calls. “I said don’t call me that!” She screamed, bursting from Twilight’s grasp, flying through the open window, disappearing into the clouds. “What did I do wrong, Fluttershy?” Twilight asks. “Oh um..she doesn’t like it when other ponies call her Dashie, only I can.” Fluttershy said, looking out the window with a frown. "Not that... I mean, she probably hates me, she blames me for turning her into a filly, and I don't blame her. I didn't try and stop Celestia." Twilight sulked falling to the floor, her legs no longer wanting to hold her. "I'm a terrible mother. What do I do?" “You should go find her.” Fluttershy said, nudging her. “She shouldn’t be alone right now.” "But what if she doesn't want to be around me?" Twilight said, trying not to freak out, but failing miserably. “Twilight Sparkle!” Fluttershy said, getting firm. “ Did you or did you not become a princess?” "I did." Twilight sniffled. “Then you can do this. “ She said pulling Twilight to her hooves. “Now go find that filly, she needs you right now before she does something rash.” She said, pointing to the window, a serious look on her face. "You're right, Rainbow Dash needs me." Twilight said. "Thanks Fluttershy, I needed that." she said, before running out of the cottage. After about twenty minutes of search, she heard a sobbing coming from near Rainbow Dash's old home. Twilight flew up to investigate, to find a filly Rainbow Dash weeping on a cloud, attached to the house. "Rainbow, I'm sorry." Twilight said. "No you're not!” Dash said, glaring at her. Twilight lands next to Rainbow and lays on the cloud next to her. "I should have stopped Celestia from turning you into a filly. I should have stopped you from hurting yourself. I could have prevented everything, but I didn't. I pinkie promise, I am completely sorry. If you want to stop being my friend, that's alright. But before you do, ask the others what I did for you. You won't hear it out of my mouth. Since you're not going to listen to much more. You know where to find me." Twilight said, slowly getting up, yet not wanting to. She flapped down to the library and walked in. She jumped onto her bed to think. Rainbow Dash trotted up to Fluttershy’s cottage, her eyes locked on the ground in front of her. Twilight had given her a lot to think about but she wanted to talk to the others first. She hovered up to the door, knocking on it. Fluttershy opened the door, to a filly dash sitting on her doorstep. "Hey Dashie. Come on in." Fluttershy said. "That is... If you want to." “Thanks Flutters.” She said flying in. “So uh..Twi said she did some stuff for me.” She said looking around. "Huh? What do you mean stuff?" Fluttershy asked. “She didn’t tell me.” Dash said, shrugging. "I assume she wants you to know what she did for you while you had your brain damage?" Fluttershy asked curiously. “I guess.” She said rubbing her head at the mention of brain damage. Fluttershy hugged Rainbow Dash, as she began to retell the events of the past two weeks. The main points being Twilight prevented Rainbow from entering a mental hospital, TWICE, once having to use her princess status, which Rainbow knew she hated to do. Then she took care of her, feeding her, dealing with her toddler tantrums. “Wow..s-she did all that for me?” "Yeah, I don't think I'd ever seen her so focused on one task. And you know Twilight. She would never let you go. She's your friend." Fluttershy stated. “And all I did was yell at her..” Dash said, looking down in shame. "Do you know where she is now?" “She’s at the library.” Dash said, looking up at her. "Then go get her! She needs you and you need her more than ever. Be the loyal friend I know you are." Fluttershy cheered. “Thanks Flutters.” She said with a grin. She hovered over to her, giving her a hug. A second later she zipped out the window, heading to the library. "I need to make things right." > Just a Simple FIlly > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Twilight!” Dash shouted, flying back into the library. Only this time, instead of going through the window, she slammed into it. “Owww...” She moaned out, sliding down the window before falling to the ground with a thud. Twilight heard a loud thump outside, and ran outside. She saw Rainbow lying on the ground moaning in pain. “Sweet Celestia, Rainbow Dash! Are you alright?” Twilight asked, lifting Rainbow into her wings, and setting her up on her hooves. “W-why didn’t I go through it?” She asked, sniffling a bit. She didn’t want to cry but her emotions were far stronger than they had been before. Twilight looked over Rainbow. The little filly was mostly alright, though she did have a bloody nose. “After you had a bit of damage in your head, I had to make sure you wouldn't hurt yourself. I put in pegasus-proof glass. It was expensive, but worth it to keep you safe.” Twilight said, wiping a tear from RD’s eye. Dash pulled away, trying not to glare at her. “I talked to Fluttershy.” She said, looking up at Twilight, getting serious. “Oh?” Twilight asked, curious of what Fluttershy had revealed. She levitated a small damp rag from her kitchen to Rainbow’s nose. “Yeah..Shy told me about everything that happened.” Dash said taking the rag, holding it to her nose. “The past 2 weeks?” “Yeah.” She said nodding her head. “Look Twi..I’m sorry I freaked out on you.” She said looking down. “You did all that stuff for me and all I did was yell at you. ” “Its alright Dashi….. Rainbow Dash. If you really can't remember any of the past 2 weeks, it isn't your fault. You couldn't have known what I had to deal with.” Twilight said leading Rainbow inside. She opened one of the books that she had yet to clean. It still had crayon coloring all over, and a very foalish drawing of Rainbow and Twilight in the book. “Though I'm still wondering on keeping this. I have 4 copies of this book anyway.” She joked. “I did that?” She asked, a blush forming on her face. “Yeah, at the time you were all like ‘Mommy, Mommy. Look what I Colored!’ and you know how angry I get everytime you come crashing in and make all of my books fall? Yeah, I was even more furious than that. It was AJ who calmed me down.” Twilight chuckled. “Well um...sorry about the book..” She said with a sheepish laugh, looking at the drawing again. “Pretty sure i'm going to keep it though. Reminds me about those two weeks, so that even when you grow up again, None of us will forget.” “So uh..what did you do with my house?” Dash asked, hoping to take the subject away from her foalish behavior of the past two weeks. “Well, other than Fluttershy grabbing a couple things, including Tank, its still there.” She said with a smirk. “That reminds me.” She pulled a faded old yellow blanket from under the table, the same one Fluttershy found and Dash used as a filly the first time around, smirking. “We also found this.” “Snuggles!” Dash said, her eyes lighting up. She quickly grabbed the blanket, holding it close to her. She blinked, realizing how foalishly she just acted. “ I mean uh..yeah..it’s just my old blanket..no biggie.” “Its alright Rainbow, we all have that one thing that reminds us of our childhood. I mean, I still have Smarty Pants, and I’m a Princess! Plus, you really can't hide your feelings for it after the past two weeks.” Twilight said, snuggling quick with Rainbow. “Whatever egghead.” She huffed crossing her forehooves. Her attempts to look annoyed only served to make her look more adorable “Awwe.” Twilight cooed. “So, now that you're back to your old self.” She glanced back at Rainbow. “Mostly… What do you plan on doing?” “I don’t know twi..” She said, looking down at the floor. “I can’t exactly get a job like this. Nopony is going to hire a foal..” “Youre not a foal Rainbow Dash.” Twilight said, putting a wing around Rainbow Dash. “Yeah well, I have the body of one, nopony is going to hire me like this.” “Technically you have the body of a filly. If you had the body of a foal, you'd be in diapers, trust me.” Twilight started. “So if nopony will hire you, what are you going to do? Where will you stay?” “Well um..” She stuttered, not meeting Twilight’s motherly gaze. “What Rainbow Dash?” “C-can I stay with you..?” She asked, hugging her blanket close, cursing her emotions, afraid of what would happen if Twilight said no. “Of course Rainbow. Ive already been dealing with three year old mental you for 2 weeks, I can easily handle three year old physical you.” Twilight said, smiling as she hugs Rainbow Dash in close. “Thanks Twi.” She said letting out a sigh of relief, hugging her friends’ neck as tightly as she could.. “You’re welcome Dashi…. Rainbow Dash. I’d do anything to help a friend.” “It’s ok Twi, you can call me Dashie, just don’t do it in public, Got it?” She said, poking the purple mare’s barrel. “Alright, agreed… Dashie.” Twilight jokes with her. At that moment a small orange filly with dark purple hair, who reminded Twilight of a special someone back in Canterlot, barged in. “Princess Twilight! You have to help! Theres a poor defenceless filly being chased by Timberwolves on the edge of the everfree!” Scootaloo screamed. Twilight’s eyes lit up. “Stay here.” She said to both Rainbow and Scootaloo, before flying out the door. “Hey Rainbow Dash, wanna play?” Scootaloo asked. “Play?! Theres a filly out there that needs help!” Dash said, rushing to the door. “Wait… Rainbow Dash?” Scootaloo asks, surprised. “Yeah squirt, I’m back!” Dash said flashing her a smile before taking off, flying after Twilight. Scootaloos eyes flash, and she grabs Rainbow’s tail before Rainbow can fly off. “Scoots let go!” She said, glancing back at the filly. “No, Twilight told us to stay here. I know you're completely awesome and can take care of yourself, but not while you're like this, not with timberwolves.” Scootaloo begged. “Ugh..fine..” She said landing on the floor, rolling her eyes. “So… how'd you get back to normal?” “I think I hit my head with a pot.” Dash said, shrugging a bit. “Oh… I hope Twilight’s ok.” Scootaloo says, not sure what to do. The filly ran as fast as she could, her eyes wide and fear. The snapping of jaws just behind her made her pick up her pace, though it was clear her pursuers were going to catch her. At that point, she heard a yelp. She looked back to see two of the timberwolves knocked out with a bright purple blast of magic, destroying them completely. Only one was left. The filly kept running. SHe heard a Crunch, and she looked back again. Standing there, on top of the Timberwolf remains was a purple alicorn, and not the best pony she wanted to see right now. The Alicorn approached her. “Are you alright?” They looked into each others eyes, and the alicorn only muttered one more word. “Chrysalis.” > A Change in the Case > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Twilight Sparkle.” The young changeling spat, narrowing her eyes at the alicorn. “You're the pony I least wanted to see.” "Chrysalis... You're so... Small." Twilight said, in confusion. "You're smaller than any of your minions you used to attack canterlot. How?" “It is none of your concern.” She said, glaring at the now larger pony. "I just saved your life, so you owe me an explanation." She said, looking at the dead timber wolves around. "The little upstuck queen can give that much can't she?" She snarled, baring her small fangs. “Fine. My master decided I was no longer fit to rule over the changelings after my failure to conquer Canterlot.” "Your master? Who? We reformed Discord, banished Sombra, and cured Nightmare Moon. There's no one left." “I will not give you the privilege of hearing his name.” Chrysalis said, sneering “Just know that soon he will come seeking retribution for the Mother.” "What mother?" Twilight shook her head, "It doesn't matter, I'm taking you to Celestia first thing in the morning." Twilight said, magicking a collar around the now filly sized queen. The filly refused to say anything else, keeping her eyes locked on the ground in front of her. "It still doesn't make sense what power could remove Chrysalis' power from her. So much was taken, that now shes just a mere filly." Twilight muttered to herself, pulling Chrysalis back to the tree where she stayed. Rainbow Dash perked up, hearing the front door of the library open. “Twilight!” She shouted, zipping out to greet her, a smirk on her face. "Hey Rainbow Dash, hey Scootaloo. Thanks for keeping Dash company." Twilight said, a firm leash on Crysalis, who was still outside. "You're more than welcome Princess Twilight." Scootaloo said before running out the door. “Hey uh Twi..what’s with the leash?” Dash asked, blinking a bit. "Dash, you're not going to like it." Twilight said, tugging on the leash, revealing Chrysalis. “Is that Chrysalis!?” Dash demanded, her wings flaring out. "Yeah, found her the one being chased by timberwolves. I'm not excited about it either." Twilight said. "And to think I almost left the squirt here to help you." Dash mumbled under her breath. "Yeah, she's going to Celestia first thing in the morning." Twilight said. Dash snorted, glaring at the changeling, who just gazed around the room, not looking at either of them. Twilight magicked a cage with a soft bed into the main room of the library. “And here I thought you ponies were all soft.” Chrysalis said, gazing at the cage. "I'm protecting my subjects." Twilight said, tossing Chrysalis into the cage. "I'm calling Celestia, she will be here in the morning." Twilight turned the light off and led Rainbow Dash upstairs. “I don’t like this Twi.” Rainbow said, glancing back towards the stairs with a scowl. "Neither do I Dashie, but I can't leave Chrysalis out there. She said her master was coming. Plus if I let her get away, I wonder if we would ever find her again." Twilight said worried. "On another note, are you going to sleep in my bed again?" “Again?” Dash asked blinking. “What? I don’t have my own bed?” She asked, frowning. "I had let you use the guest room, but during the first night, you were too scared. You slept with me every night." “Ok I will, but only because I think you’ll miss me.” Dash said, looking up at her. "Heh, you're right, ill miss you." Twilight chuckled, leading Rainbow upstairs into her room. Rainbow jumped up onto the bed, letting out a small yawn. “Why the hay am I so tired?” "You realize what you've been through today? Plus you're not equipped like you used to be. No more day naps." “What?! What no you mean no more day naps?!” Dash demanded, flying up to look Twilight in the eyes. "Dash, you can take them all you want, but your body doesn't need them anymore. You have more energy than you ever have." “If you say so egghead.” Dash said yawning again, climbing into the bed, getting comfy. "You all good? You want 'Blankie' Dashie?" Twilight asks, chuckling, as she levitates Dashies old yellow blanket to her. She rolled her eyes, taking the blanket from her. “Night Twi.” She said, hugging her blanket close. **** The great being looked down upon the newly crowned Queen Locust. “I expect you will do far better than your predecessor.” He spoke, his burning eyes boring into her. "Yes Master. I will do nothing less than please you." She said, fluttering her butter gold wings. "Go to the Griffon Empire and remind the emperor of who he owes his allegiance to. Do the same to the Minotaur clans. I want my army ready for war by months end." “Of course master.” She said with a bow before leaving the cavern. The dragon head sighed, turning his head to the ceiling. “Soon my beloved..I will avenge your death.” > Chatting With Celestia > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight lights up her horn with her magic, creating a collar around Chryssalis. "Come on, lets get you to Celestia so I can come back to Dash." Dash flies down the stairs. "Wait I'm not coming with you?" "No I'm afraid it will be too boring for you, and you'll end up just causing more trouble." “Oh no you don’t!” She said flying up in her face. “You're not grounding me just because I look like a filly.” "I'm not grounding you because you're physically a filly now, i'm grounding you because im afraid it will be too boring on the train now. And things break when you get bored Rainbow Dash." “I’m going Twi.” She said narrowing her eyes. "Fine, you can come, but bring something to do PLEASE?" Twilight begged. “You worry too much Twi.” Dash said rolling her eyes. She flew over to a bookshelf, grabbing a Daring Do book. Twilight simply smiled. "Do you want me to hold it so you can fly?" “Will you stop babying me?” Dash asked, giving her an annoyed glare. "Dash, im not trying to baby you, but you're already having difficulty flying with that book, i'm Just trying to help you get through this." "Heh Shrimp." Chryssalis Muttered, giving a light chuckle. "Shut it, no one asked you." Twilight said, tugging on the collar. "Do you think you can do it Dash?" “Of course I can, i’m awesome.” She said with a confident smirk. "Alright, but if you get tired, just give me the book alright?" Twilight asked with concern. “I’ll be fine egghead.” She said rolling her eyes, flying over to the door. Twilight levitates it open, hauling Chrysalis short behind. Twilight quickly gets the three through town without much problem, and gets the train tickets. "1 adult, 2 children." Twilight asks. The ticket vendor breaks off tickets as Twilight gives him 4 bits. Then they head off to the train. Chryssalis sighed, tugging on the leash, hugging a bit. “This is humiliating..” She complained. "Should have thought of that before you decided to invade Canterlot, bug." Twilight spat, leading Dash and Chryssalis onto the train. Chryssalis just hissed at her, sitting down as far away from her as the leash would allow. Twilight looked over at Dash, she was already and happily reading a Daring Do. She trotted over to Dash, after making sure the leash held Chryssalis in place, She pulled Dash's blanket out of her bag, and draped it over Dash's back. “Did you really bring the blanket?” Dash asked groaning a bit. "Yeah, I didn't know if you'd want it. With your tendency to fall asleep and all, seeing as it is a 3 hour trip." Twilight shrugged. “Well..thanks..” She said, giving Twi a tiny smile. "Dash, before you get too engrossed into the book, can I say something?" Twilight asked. “Yeah, what?” "I know you're not used to being a filly again, just like i'm not used to being a mother, but i'm seriously trying my best ok? I just want to make sure you have everything you will need." Twilight said, sincerely. “Twi..I..” Dash said, not sure how to respond. “Thanks...it means a lot..” She said before diving into the book, forgetting about her confusing emotions for now. Twilight smiled, happy that she got it off her chest. “Finally.” Dash said getting up from her sprawled out position. Train rides had been boring before but now it was just unbearable. "All ready to go Dashie?" Twilight asked, pulling Chryssalis. “Sweet Celestia yes!” Dash shouted, grabbing her book, flying over to the door. She zipped outside the train, glad to be out of the cramp space and into open air. "Dashie? Really?" Chryssalis huffed. “You shut your mouth bug!” She snapped, glaring at Chrysalis. "Rainbow Dash!" Twilight calls. Dash just glared at Chrysalis, saying nothing else. "Dash, just leave the discipline to Princess Celestia or I please." Twilight says, finally having come to the castle. "So Twilight, what have you come all the way to Canterlot for?" Celestia asked. Twilight tugged Chrysalis into the sun, making her visible. "Is that... Chryssalis?" Celestia asks, chuckling a small bit. She regains her composure quickly. “Laugh it up sunbutt.” Chryssalis said, hissing a bit. “The father will have his vengeance soon.” “The father..? You mean Typhon don’t you?” Celestia asked, a frown on her face. "Typhon? I've never read anything about him in any of the books." "Thats because he was before the time of recorded history. In a way, he is a god...and...someone we hurt very dearly.” Celestia said, a sorrowful look in her eyes. “Yes explain Celestia, tell dear Twilight about how your precious ponies murdered Echidna.” Chrysalis said, hate and ice in her voice. "SILENCE!" Celestia boomed, using the royal canterlot voice. She began to speak. “Long before the tribes were unified, lived a pair of beings called Typhon and Echidna. From them came many of the races we know today: dragons, griffins, changelings, minotaurs, chimera, manticores, cockatrices and many more. The ponies at the time grew fearful of what they would sire next and so..” She said taking a deep breath,” They snuck into their den at night and killed Echidna. They trapped Typhon inside and there he has been...mourning his lover to this day.” "I believe Typhon is the only being capable of taking away Chrysalis' powers so easily. This is not good." Celestia muttered to herself. "What do we do Celestia?" Twilight asked, still shaking a bit from the use of the royal voice. "Get the Elements Twilight, it may be our only protection against Typhon." Celestia said. "There's a little problem with that princess." Twilight replied. "And that would be?" “I’m kinda stuck as a filly!" Dash whined. "Yeah, without Rainbow Dash being able to wield the Element of Loyalty, the elements are useless." Twilight said. “Not like the elements would work anyway.” Discord said popping into existence behind Celestia, picking his teeth with a claw. “Father is much too powerful for them.” "There has to be something to stop him." Twilight whined. “You could try, I don’t know..apologizing?” "After a couple Millennia, I highly doubt that will work." Celestia mentioned. “That does beg the question sunbutt..why didn’t you do so sooner?” He asked, getting in her face. "Because...." Celestia stuttered. "It would have threatened the lives of my little ponies." “Apologizing would somehow hurt them?” He asked very angry. "I still don't believe he would have just forgiven us. And I couldn't have allowed the chance that he would take us as well." “I don’t believe you.” Discord said staring into her eyes. “ I think you refuse to admit that your ponies did anything wrong.” "I... I..." Celestia stuttered. “Just as I thought, you're such a hypocrite.” He said with a sneer. He disappeared. "Celestia?" Twilight asked. "Just Go Twilight." Celestia moaned. "But Celestia..." "GOOOO!" Celestia said, using the Canterlot Royal Voice once again. Twilight and Rainbow shuffled out of the throne room into the hallway. “I don’t like this Twi.” Dash said with a frown, looking up at Twilight. "Me neither Dash, i've never seen Celestia this worried." Twilight said, wrapping a wing around Dash. “I never thought i’d ever agree with Discord.” "Me neither, reformed or not." Twilight replied, leading Dash back outside. Celestia's Sun is down, and all is dark. “What are we gonna do Twi?” She asked, unconsciously pressing into the alicorn's side. "What do you mean?" I ask Dash, holding her close. “Discord said the elements won't work on Typhon.” She said looking down. "I... I don't know. We need to tell the girls. Maybe together we can find a way." “We still have to tell them that i’m me again.” She reminded her "Oh yeah.. I almost forgot." Twilight said, the final train bell dinging, telling all that the final train of the night had just left. “So now what?” She asked, letting out a yawn, rubbing her eyes. "We could always stay at my parents, if you're willing for them to coddle you at how cute you are, and most likely compare you to me on cuteness when I was a filly." Twilight chuckled, imagining her parents coddling the once proud Rainbow Dash. “Not like I have any better ideas..” She said, nodding her head, letting out another yawn. "Come on my little filly, lets go to my parents." Twilight said, levitating Dash onto her back, as she trots through the streets of Canterlot. “Don’t call me that.” She said, despite herself, she curled up on her back, nuzzling Twi’s neck. Within a few minutes she was asleep, snoring quietly. Twilight giggled at the snoring Chromatic filly on my back. > Meeting the Twilights > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight knocks on the door, smiling as she takes a peek back at the sleeping chromatic filly on her back. She looks back to the door to wait, and eventually her mother, Twilight Velvet appears in the doorway. “Hello Mother.” she says, nuzzling her mother. “Twilight dear! It’s always good to see you!” Twilight Velvet said with a smile, pulling her daughter into a hug. “II assumed so mother, but please keep it down.” She whispers, motioning to the sleeping filly on her back. “You have no idea how hard SHE is to put to sleep.” “Oh, and who is this little filly?” Velvet asked, moving her gaze to the sleeping filly.. “Mother, this is Rainbow Dash, you remember her right?” I say, in a whisper. “Right, but wasnt she….. um… a little older?” Velvet asks. “Oh dear mother, I have a lot to explain. “ She says, as Velvet leads her inside. She sets Rainbow Dash on the couch next to her. Dash stirred a bit, snuggled against Twi’s side, and fell back to sleep.. Twilight sighed as she fell back asleep. “Dash is even more roudy as a filly. So, where do I start?” She asks, as she begins, leaving no detail spared,. About three quarters of the way through the story, Dash began to move a bit. “Poor dear, it must be so hard to be stuck in the body of a filly.” “Yeah, she has had trouble adjusting to her new life. She was more of a hassle though when she didn't have her mind back…. a twenty one year old in a two year olds body, is better than a 2 year old in a twenty one year olds body.” “I bet,” Velvet said, gazing at Dash with a smile. “So, any plans on getting me more grandfoals?” “I hope not anytime soon mother, im still practically a kid myself.” She says, watching as Dash continues to move. Twilight notices one of Dashies eyes groggily open, and Twilight puts a hoof on Dashies back. Dash seems content, as she closes her eyes again. “She’s so adorable, but its still not the same..” Twilight sighs. “I’ll help you any way I can,” she said smiling. “I know you will mother., but we just need a place to sleep for the night so we can get back to ponyville in the morning.” Twilight says “Oh, you can use your old room, I havent touched it much since you left, just made everything a little more, guestworthy. I should also mention, SHiny and Caadance are here too. In his old room.” “My brother and Cadance are here!?!” She asks, almost screaming with excitement, then sticking a hoof over her mouth. “Wha?” Dash asked sitting up, rubbing her eye tiredly. “Sorry Dash, you can go back to sleep if you want.” Twlight says, nuzzling Dash. “Nah.. I’m hungry...” “Mother, do you mind If we find something to eat?” I ask. “”Of course not dear.” Velvet simply replies, as she heads upstairs. “Hungry for anything specific?” Twilight asks. “Hayburgers?” Dash asks tiredly, trying to get onto Twi’s back. “Dash, its like… 10 pm at night.” Twilight says, lifting Dash back onto her back. “So?” “How about a Daisy Sandwich, and we will go get a hayburger in the morning?” “ok..” Twilight proceeds to make two daisy sandwiches, and gives one to Dash, and proceeds to levitate hers to her mouth. She took it, munching on it. “Will that be enough to set you over until morning Dash? I really don't want you flying around in the middle of the night because you're hungry.” “I dunno...” Dash said, looking at her. “Well, I hope so. Now come on, lets get to bed.” Twilight says, trotting towards her old room. She opens the door, and all her fillyhood memories come rushing back. She smiles and trots over to the bed, and lays down. She sets Dash next to her belly. She nuzzles Dash. “Good Night my little Dashie.” “G’night...Mommy “Dash yawned out, snuggling into Twilight’s belly, her blanket clutched close. “Twilight wake up.” Dash said, poking Twilight’s side, her muzzle scrunched up into a pout. “5 more minutes Rainbow Dash… I’m too tired for flight training.” Twilight says groggily, still asleep. “Twilight!” she shouted into her ear. “What… What? Im Awake!” she exclaims, jumping up. “Um... Twi...” Rainbow said in a soft voice, looking at her hooves. “What Dashie?” She sits up, groggily. “I um... “ she said going quiet for a moment. “I-I wet the bed!” she exclaimed, tears welling up in her eyes. “Oh Dashie dear, I was worried it was something terrible.” “It is terrible! I’m a grown mare! I’m not supposed to have accidents!” she wailed, her emotions getting the best of her. “Calm down Dashie.” Twilight says, nuzzling Dash, snuggling with her to calm her down. Dash held onto her, crying her eyes out. “Shh, dont cry dear.” Twilight says. “All fillies have accidents from time to time, and you're not a filly just because you wet the bed, you're still the Rainbow Dash I know and love.” (yes, TwiDash insert) “I’ll never be the same and you know it!” Dash snapped, pulling away from her. “Dash, you already are the same Mare, you're just smaller now.” She coos, pulling her closer. “Just because you wet the bed doesn't make you a filly on the inside.” “Thats not true!” “Of course it’s true Dashie.” Twilight says, looking into Dash’s eyes. “Dont worry about the bed, Ill just tell my mother I made a mess, does that make you feel better?” “Y-yeah...” she sniffled, looking away from her. “Alright, lets get up and get some breakfast. We have a long train ride ahead.” Twilight says, nuzzling dash. She levitates Dash onto her back and trots downstairs. “Twi... shouldn’t we take a bath or something?” “Oh yeah.” Twilight giggles. “I totally forgot.” “But Twilight, you’re usually the one who’s picky about that.” Dash says.. “I guess taking care of such an awesome filly makes me forget things.” “Im not a f….. You think im that awesome?” “Of course Dashie.” Twilight says, as she carries Dash into the bathroom, turning on the water. “I know you're not a filly on the inside, but physically you are Dashie.” Twilight says, setting Dash on the toilet seat as she turns the water on. “I'm never going to live any of this down am I?” “What do you mean Dash?” Twi asks, turning off the water. “Im not an awesome mare without being a mare, I can't be a wonderbolt now that I’m too young, and I'm sure Applejack is going to make fun of me.” “Rainbow Dash! Stop thinking like that. Applejack would not laugh at her friend… but if she does, you could always reintroduce her to poison joke.” Twi laughs, setting Dash in the water. “Twil... was that a Prank?” Dash asks, surprised. “Maybe,” she said with a smile, splashing with her wing “Would you like some help washing up Dashie, or do you think you have it?” Twilight asks, setting a bar of soap right next to dash on a floating soap holder. “Of course I can wash myself,” Dash said with a roll of her eyes, grabbing the soap out of the holder. “Dont forget to wash behind your ears!” Twilight laughs, laying on the floor next to the tub, only her head over the side to watch dash. “Yes mommy,” she said, before her eyes widened. “I-I why did I say that!?” “Uh… because I’m your mommy.” Twi laughs. “This isn't funny Twi!” “No, its adorable. You’re fine Dash, it just means you’re comfortable with me as a parental figure, I remember reading a book on it while you were….. a filly in a mare’s body.” “If you say so egghead,” Dash said, not entirely convinced. Twilight smiled at Dash, and watches her finish cleaning herself. “Ready for a Towel Dashie?” She asks, levitating a towel nearby. Dash just smiled, splashing Twilight with a wave of water. “I’m going to take that as a yes.” Twi laughs, levitating Dash out of the tub and into the towel, wrapping her in the same way one would wrap a newborn, tight and only her muzzle shows. As Tw looks at her, she breaks out into laughter. “Twi,” Dash whined, squirming around. “Let me out!” “But you’re sooo adorable.” Twilight giggles, before unwrapping her, and leaving Rainbow with a puffy mane and tail, much like when Twilight first met Rainbow Dash. Dash shook her head, un-poofing her mane. “Could you get my tail?” “Sure Dashie dear.” Twilight says, still giggling as she levitates a brush and begins quickly brushing Dashie's tail. “There, done in 10 seconds flat.” Twi says, before breaking into another giggle fit. Dash tries looking serious, but can't help but breaking into laughter as well. Finally the laughter ends. “Come on Dash,we better get some breakfast before we go. You want to fly or ride on my back?” “Fly duh,” Dash said taking off into the air, a smirk on her face. “Race ya!” she said zipping out of the room. “Just be careful so you don't run into…” She is interrupted by a loud thump. Twilight runs out into the hallway to find out Dash has crashed into none other than Shining Armor. “Big Brother!” Twilight cheers, as she trots over to give him a hug. “Well hello little sister.” He chuckles, looking down at Dash, as she has now hidden herself behind twilight, from fear of embarrassment. “So this is the new Rainbow Dash?” He says, looking right at her. “Don't worry, i'm not going to make fun of you Dash.” He says in a calming voice. “How….how did you know?” Twilight asks. “Celestia told me… she was due at a Guard inspection for the Crystal Guard and never showed up.” He chuckles. “If it makes you feel any better Dash, Celestia said you were very brave.” “Brave?” Dash asked, raising an eyebrow. “When you got turned into a filly by Celestia. The last time she had to do that, the pony screamed like crazy, or so she said.” Shining lightly chuckled. “Who was the pony?” “Im not sure, she didn’t say. But come on, we better get downstairs before all of the pancakes are gone!” He says, wide-eyed before he runs down the stairs. “Pancakes, what was that all about?” Dash asks. “Oh Brother, If there is one thing that can get Shining away from Guard duty, it was our mother’s pancakes. Come on Dash, lets get downstairs.” Twilight says, as she trots downstairs. “Pancakes!” Dash shouted, zipping downstairs, leaving a rainbow streak in her wake. Twilight laughs and follows Dash, but stops when she notices Dash hovering in front of the kitchen table, staring at the thing. “Oh No.” She says, as she looks at the highchair at the end of the table. “I ain’t sitting in that,” Dash declared, crossing her hooves. “Of course not dear.” Velvet’s voice came from the kitchen. Velvet pulled out a chair with a bunch of books on top of it. “Here is where you will sit…. that was Twilight’s highchair. It got to the point where we couldnt get her away from books, we had to bolt the highchair to the floor… no one has bothered to remove it.” Velvet said. “Mooooom!” Twilight complains, as she heads over to her seat, which is RIGHT next to Dash’s mountain of books seat. Dash snickered, taking her spot on the books. She frowned, noting they weren’t very comfy. “What’s wrong Dashie?” Twi teased, as a payback for snickering at Twilight. “Nothing, I’m fine egghead,” Dash said crossing her arms. Twilight simply smiles, and her magic begins to glow, as the top book turns into a pillow. “Is that better?” She asks, looking at Dash. “Or do you want your blanket too?” she giggles. Just at that point, a HUGE plate of pancakes is set in the middle of the table. Twilight looks around, and notices its only the four of them. “Where’s Dad, and where’s Cadance?” “Your Father had to leave early this morning, he had a meeting across town,” Velvet says, taking a couple pancakes. “And Cadance wanted to talk to the Princesses one last time before we leave.” Shining says, taking about 10 pancakes onto his own plate. Twilight grabs two pancakes, and levitates them onto Dash’s plate, taking two for herself as well. She focuses on Dash’s pancakes, and soon they are split into tiny, easy to eat pieces. “Eat up Dash, we have a train to catch.” Twilight says. Dash just glared at her before diving into her food, getting sticky with syrup. Twilight didnt take the same approach to eating, She took Large, slow bites of her pancakes, enjoying a flavor she hasn’t had since a child. “Good Pancakes as always mother.” SHe says, in between bites. “Yeah….what….Twilight...said.” Shining says in between bites of pancakes. “Well thank you two. I still don’t understand how you eat so much Shining, but I’m glad to see you do.” Velvet says. “It’s called…. Carboloading…. besides….. do you really…. think that…. Cadence would let me….. eat like this….. at home?” He says, in between more and more food. Those words cause both Twilights to break out into laughter. “This is good,” Dash said, her mouth full of food. “Why thank you Dash.” Velvet says, smiling at the syrup all over Dash’s face, and the empty plate in front of Dash. “Hey Dashie, you have a little something… Here.” Twilight says, pointing towards Dash’s entire muzzle. She grabs a wet rag from the kitchen, and levitates it towards Dash’s muzzle, cleaning her off. “There.” she chuckles. “Now that you’re done, go ahead and pack your bag, we have to get going. But first what do you say to my mother?” “Oh yes Twilight,” Velvet said, watching the scene with a smile. “May I suggest that Rainbow Dash start wearing diapers to bed?” “What!?” Dash screamed, her eyes wide. “I am not wearing diapers!” “I have Two things to say to that. “One, How do you know?” Two, I'm not putting Dash in diapers, she is still a grown mare, regardless of how much I tease her, or how her body is that of a filly. I would not degrade her like that.” “You misunderstand Twilight,” Velvet said, putting her hooves up. “I mean, she has the body of a foal, and with the stain currently drying on my guest bed, it seems she’s going to have a problem with bed wetting.” “If it get that bad mother, I may consider it, but Im still not going to put her in diapers unless I have no other choice.” “I’m just making a suggestion dear.” “Im right here you know!” Dash whines from atop the books. “Go ahead and pack your stuff Dash, I will be right up. “ Twilight says, taking her and Dash’s plate into the kitchen and washing them off. She heads upstairs, and notices Dash putting her Daring Do book into her saddlebags. “Before you put that away, how about I read it to you on the train?” She asks, smiling. “Why?” Dash asked, tilting her head “It would alleviate boredom for the both of us, and you can snuggle into my warm body, because I know how much you enjoy it, and no amount of tough-pony will ever prevent me from knowing.” Twilight chuckles. “Ok fine,” she said, holding the book out to Twilight. “Thats why I love you Dashie.” She chuckles, sticking the book into her own saddlebags as she slips them on. “Now I know you want to fly, so you can fly until we get to Canterlot Square. After that you need to ride on my back. There are way too many ponies who I don't trust.” Twilight says, as Dash takes flight. “What do you mean Twi?” Rainbow asked, looking rather confused by that statement. “Long story, it involves me not looking where I was going when I was just a filly, and my brother having to save me from bullies, nothing big, but really scary, no matter your age. Youre a little smaller than I was, that makes it even worse.” Twilight thinks. “Though, with how awesome you are, you could probably take them, I don't’ want to take that chance.” “Ok Twi, I trust you,” Dash said, moving over to the larger mare, hugging her neck. She let go a second later, zipping downstairs. Twi smiles, making her bed with her magic, levitating the wet sheets in the wash before heading downstairs. She trots over to the front door. “Ill see you soon Shiny.” She says, hugging her brother. “Thanks for the place overnight mother.” Twilight says. “You're welcome here anytime, you know that. Just, try not to turn your father and I into plants again, alright?” She laughs. “I’ll try, but there are no guarantees.” Twilight jokes. “Come on Twi, I thought you said we had to get out of here soon.” Dash complains. “Oh Alright.” she says. “Goodbye, and tell Cadence I miss her.” she opens the door, letting Dash zip out, and Twilight soon follows. “If you’re going to do air tricks, give me your saddlebags first alright? And if you get lost while flying, meet up at Pony Joe’s ok?” “I… I didnt plan on going far from you. I’m going to be honest. This place seems huge at this size.” Dash says before recomposing herself. “I wouldn't want you to get hurt or anything.” “Because thats the reason why.” Twilight chuckles,, watching Dash fly. Soon enough they come across Canterlot Square, and Dash lands on Twilight back. “Comfy back there?” She asks. “Mmhmm.” Dash mutters. “Alright, hang on.” Twilight trots toward the station, and after a lot of trying to get through the sea of ponies, they finally make it to their car. “Finally, I didnt think we would ever get here.” Twilight sighs, helping Dash off of her back. “Twilight?” “Yes Dash?” “Can you read me Daring Do now?” She asks. “Of course.” Dash smiles, buzzes to Twilight’s bag, and pulls out the book. She then zips over to Twilight’s side, and opens the book, snuggling next to Twilight. “It looks like you’re all ready… alright….” As Daring Do trekked through the tropical jungle, the wet heat sapped her energy and slowed her every step. If only she could escape this oppressive atmosphere and fly up into the cool blue sky. But her crash landing in the jungle had injured her wing and she was grounded for a few days. A few days---it might as well be a few months, or a few years! Dash smiles, completely enjoying both the warmth of Twilight, and her favorite book.
