"Beautiful day, isn't it?"

Discord frowned, curious to why he had just spoken out loud. It was random, although doing crazy random things was natural for him. These days just didn't feel like before, when he could just prank ponies and let it rain chocolate milk. Then again, chocolate was starting to get a bit boring, poor Pinkie, how will she react to these news?

Wait, did he just comment on how beautiful the day was? Sweet Celestia, if the princess of the sun herself have heard that, she would start thinking he was going crazy or something. Which is always a bad sign for everypony else.

"I think it is as well." A voice from below said. Discord yelped and looked down from his normal white cloud. He saw Fluttershy smiling up at him, she had a pouch of bird seeds tied around her neck. Probably to feed those pesky birds. Had she heard him? Panic started rising up inside of him.

Discord yelled, "Don't tell Celestia I said that!" She smiled and giggled. "Don't worry, I won't." She gestured for him to come back down. "Could you come down here please, I need you to do some things for me."

He snapped his fingers and teleported himself in front of Fluttershy. She gasped from the sudden movement, but then regained her normal smile. He grinned and bowed. "Yes my lady?" he said sarcastically. She giggled at the strange attitude, and decided to play along. "I am going to have to send you to the supermarket to get me some acorns please. Me and my animals are going to have a picnic this afternoon, and I haven't got anything for the squirrels yet."

"Of course!" He looked up and stopped. Those beautiful green-blue eyes, he loved the way her eyes seemed to stay gentle and calm all the time. It always made him feel warmer and happier when he looked at them. Unlike his chaotic looking yellow and red eyes, one bigger than the other. He sometimes had the urge to take her face In his mismatched hands and gently caress her face.

He should have stopped looking, because she caught him staring and frowned. "Is everything alright?" She asked. He shook himself out of his daze and grinned, scratching the back of his head. "Oh, uh. Nothing dear." He felt his cheeks get warm, and begged for the redness to go away.

He's being doing that a lot lately, and Fluttershy has caught him plenty of times before. This funny feeling has been around him for a while now, and sometimes wished it would go away. Just because he's the spirit of chaos, doesn't mean he doesn't know when somepony has a crush on someone. Sadly, it was his turn to get this feeling.

"Oh, ok." She blushed, causing him to blush even more.

"I guess I'll be going then!" He said quickly and started walking away when she called his name.

"Oh wait!" She called out, "Could you bring some rainbow colored ice cream as well?" He raised and eyebrow. "What for?" The blush returned to her cheeks. "For somepony special that I know."

"Rainbow Dash?" He guessed. It was a good guess, since she and Rainbow had been friends since they were young. Plus, the rainbow colored ice cream. Made sense.
She shook her head, "Nope, just...somepony."

He started to get a little jealous and thought it was some stallion and she was trying to ignore him. He quickly dismissed the thought, she would never do that. They were friends, they would tell each other these types of things. But then again, he was hiding secrets from her as well.

He sighed, "Of course." And forced a smile. Stallion or not, he should accept what she wanted to do. Besides, what were his chances? Nopony liked how he looked like with his chaotic form.

He walked away from Fluttershy's cottage and made his way towards the Ponyville Supermarket. After the defeat of Tirek, Fluttershy had forgiven him for his actions. But he still felt like she hadn't completely forgiven him, which felt like a punch to the chest. He wanted to beg her and ask her if they were friends like they were before. He knew she was going to say yes every time, but it still didn't feel right to him.

His foot felt wet all of a sudden. Looking down, he saw that his goat leg had stepped into a puddle of water, causing some ripples in it. He grumbled, taking his foot out and shook it so that the extra water would dry up. The ripples in the puddle have vanished, and only a reflection of himself was left. He looked at his reflection, who was frowning up at him. He imagined the reflection of Fluttershy besides his. They were completely different, completely opposite.

Without thinking, he turned himself into his pony form. A gray unicorn stallion with a spiky black mane replaced the chaotic face. The only thing out of place was his blue horn, not matching his gray coat.

There, that looked more normal. A sudden thought occurred to him, crazy, but it would probably help him feel better. He quickly summoned a basket of acorns and a bucket of rainbow ice cream and galloped back to Fluttershy's cottage.

When he arrived, he spotted a tree nearby with a blanket underneath and food. He walked closer and set down the acorns and ice cream. He noticed that there was also a red rose laying close. He frowned, and started to walk away when he heard a familiar voice.

"Excuse me sir, do you need anything?" He turned around and saw Fluttershy standing behind him with a puzzled look on her face. Great, now what?

He cleared his throat. "Sorry to interrupt, I was just walking by." He said nervously. She kept staring at him for a few moments and smiled. "It's ok, have a seat."

This was a surprise, usually she would cower and cover her face with her soft, pink mane. But instead she acted like he was one of her pony friends.

"Um, are you sure?" She nodded, and he sat down on the blanket, and Fluttershy did the same. "Would you like some tea?" She asked. Wanting to be polite, he nodded. He saw her pour the warm tea from the teapot to his cup, watching the steam rise in swirls.

"This is rather strange of you, to welcome a stranger to your picnic." He asked. She looked up at him, "Not everypony is a stranger." She responded with a smile. They both sat there side by side sipping their tea in silence. He wanted to scoot over so that his fur brushed against her side, but he remained where he was.

She looked up from her cup and set it down. She turned to face him, "You're a strange sight for a pony, why is your horn blue?" He felt that feeling of sadness again. "Everypony asks the same question." He replied with a frown, and it was true. Everypony stared at him when he walked by, so he wasn't lying. "I barely have any friends, and much less somepony special." He said, smiling a little. "But it's fine, there is one pony who looks out for me."

She scooted a little closer and frowned. "Go on."

It's strange for her to be asking this from somepony she didn't even know, much less be this close to him. He sighed, "I don't know, she's kind and beautiful, but I don't think you'd be interested in that." He felt a tear in the corner of his eye, but quickly wiped his eyes so it wouldn't roll out.

What happened next was unexpected, she draped both hooves around him and brought him into a hug. He froze, but quickly hugged her back. This was his only chance to be like this with her.

Once the hug ended, she still had her hooves around his neck, with their faces only inches apart. He started to blush, and looked down, closing his eyes. "I'm sorry." He said.

He looked up and saw her smile a little. He was staring at those eyes again, and he couldn't help but place his forehead against hers. She didn't seem to mind and stayed that way for while. After a few minutes, she whispered, "Do you love her?" He chuckled, "Getting a little too personal don't you think? But yes, you could say that."

They were only like a few centimeters apart, both breathing the same air. She leaned in and placed her lips against his. His eyes fluttered open, but quickly fell into the embrace. He wrapped his hooves around her neck, kissing back. He felt happy, but his heart was broken at the same time. She chose him instead of Discord, the one she knows. Instead she chose a complete stranger over him.

His excitement caused his horn to cast a spell and accidentally turned the rose into a different flower. It now had rainbow colored petals and shone brightly. Similar to the ones he gave to Celestia.

Fluttershy smiled, "Discord." She said. He pulled back, confused, and stared at her.

"F-Fluttershy?" He stammered. "But.."

She giggled, "You think you could fool the one pony that knows and cares about you the most?" She placed a hoof on his face. "I want my Discord back."

He looked down, "I'm sorry Flutters," he said, "I'm sorry for making such a mess out of things." Fluttershy leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. "You know I love you too Discord."

They kissed again, this time it lasted longer than the last one. He turned back to his normal self, his lips still pressed against hers. "I think I know who the ice cream is for." He murmured.

"Yeah," She said, "me too."
