> Adventures in Equestria > by Finn the Human > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1-Talking ponies > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 1- Talking ponies I am a human boy named Finn. Around these parts most call me Finn the Human, or just Finn. I live in a treehouse with my best friend, brother Jake the Dog. He happens to be a dog, but I don't let that fact manipulate my thoughts. He could be whatever he wants and I will always be his brother. Today Jake and I had to visit the Candy Kingdom in behalf of the Princess, her name was Princess Bubblegum. As we shortly arrived thanks to the help of Jake's magical shape-shifting ability, we were immediately greeted by two enormous bubble gum headed creatures. They were known as Gumball guardians and their job was to protect the Candy Kingdom from intruders. They have done just that for many, many years, and they did a pretty good job at it too. I glanced around the well-known empire from Jake's back. Jake decided to take the form of a horse for today because it suited our task. He swiftly galloped passed the entrance of the Kingdom and began shouting random words at bystanders as him normally did. Me and him received strange glances and smiles from those around us. Even a few citizens waved and called the names of their familiar heros. "Hey, Finn. What's wrong?" Jake asked me in a calm tone as he twisted his horse head completely around. "Nothing..." I answered quietly and crossed my arms. I looked away with a saddened look on my face. "Hmph." Jake groaned and slowly turned his head around reluctantly. We shortly arrived at the entrance of the Candy Kingdom castle. A guard stood there, he had a weapon in hand and asked for our names. As I opened my mouth to speak, I was abruptly interrupted. "Oh wait. It's Finn and Jake." He said, laughing at his misunderstanding. "Come in dudes." Jake waited for the Drawbridge to open. It would normally took a few seconds, but today it opened very slowly. Jake turned around, he had a large grin painted on his face, he slammed his face into my shoulder repeatedly. "What's wrong dude?" "Nothing. Just tired." I answered as I pushed his face off my shoulder. He sighed, and gave me a stern look. But stopped when the Drawbridge finally dropped down. We both ran inside and the bridge closed quickly behind us. "PRINCESS!" Jake and I screamed. The castle was shrouded in darkness, but we saw a faint light in the distance. So Jake and I ran to the light that was coming from Princess Bubblegum's science room. I hopped off Jake's back, and he returned to his usual dog form. "Princess?" Jake asked as we both peeped our head into the room. It was dark in there. A light bulb fell from the roof, causing me and Jake to jump back a few feet. But there was that same purple light. It wasn't like anything I had seen before, it looked odd and abnormal. "Jake?" "Finn! Come here, you need to look at this." I did as directly and made my way to the voice that belonged to my friend. He was beside the light, which was coming from the inside of a glass container. I stared at the light in awe, I tried to close my jaw, but I couldn't. "Is that a pony?" Jake asked, unimpressed. "I believe so... Didn't Princess Bubblegum say something about experimenting on a talking horse." I said as I rubbed my chin. "Yeah, but this doesn't look like something from our dimension." Jake said as he tapped the glass gently. "What do you mean?" I asked him, my gaze turning to him. "Well I mean look at her. She is clearly a unicorn, and the light is coming from that horn." He said pointing a finger at the top of her head. "And she doesn't look anything like a pony or rainicorn from around here." "That's true..." I said. Something smelled fishy, and things began to grow suspicious. The light in the room flickered on, and the light bulb was replaced with a new one. Jake and I were blinded by the light and flinched. The pony in the glass was now visible and clearly looked angry. She had purple and pink hair. Her eyes were a dark color, and were full of hatred. Her skin was a lavender color and on her side she had a marking that looked like stars. The unicorn stared at the door. We both turned around and saw Princess Bubblegum stand there with a table full of tools used to dissect animals. "Princess. What are those for?" I asked, as I looked at the tools in disbelief. "Ah. Finn, Jake. You're finally here." Princess Bubblegum said, as she brushed sweat off her forehead. "Well, over there is the pony we will be testing on." The pony's eyes then darted to me and Jake. Her mouth formed into a frown, and her eyes grew small. She looked slightly saddened, her ears drooped and her tail hung between her legs. I saw her horn light up, and she flew into the air. Jake and I gasped, she not only had a horn, but she had wings also! Her magic shot through the glass, it aimed towards Princess Bubblegum, but I ran in front of her. It stung as my body took all the magic that was blasted towards me. Slowly everything grew black until my entire surroundings vanished. "FINN!" Me and PB yelled as Finn disappeared from the room. The pony was slightly surprise, but then smirked and shot me too. I screamed and tried to fight her powerful magic, but she had more power than even Lady Rainicorn did. Slowly I was gone too, and Princess Bubblegum was left alone. "JAKE!" There Princess Bubblegum stared at the creature angrily. "What? You're gunna blast me too?" She asked. The pony shook her head and grin. "This was just a part of my plan." She answered. "You talk? Sweet. But why are you doing this?" Princess Bubblegum asked with an impressed look on her face. "You purposely kidnapped me from my world for science. I for one love science, but that was a cruel deed Princess." The pony answered. "And back at my world I am also a Princess and once they realize I am gone, your dimension will be in trouble." She smiled. "Uh huh." Princess Bubblegum answered. She didn't care. "Well, I am certain that won't happen, because they will have to search through hundreds of dimensions and by the time they get here, any traces of your existence will not be here." The unicorn, pegasus pony's eyes widen, but she proceeded to speak. "Well, I transported your two friends to my dimension." She said with a smile. "What..." "Yes. They are in my world. And it's almost impossible for them to go unnoticed. The dog might pull it off, but there's never been a human there." The unicorn smiled. Princess Bubblegum swore under her breath. "What do you want?" "Oh. I don't want anything." The pony said. "Just need to get home before my assistant gets worried." "What's your name?" Princess Bubblegum asked as she uncomfortably crossed her arms. "Twilight Sparkle." She answered. "What dimension are you from, pony?" Princess Bubblegum asked. "Okay. First, stop calling me a pony! You know my name, and if you won't call me that refer to me as Princess Twilight or at least alicorn. Which is a mix of pony, unicorn, and pegasus." "Fine. Twilight. Where's your dimension located?" Princess Bubblegum asked angrily. "As if I'd tell you..." Twilight answered. "Shouldn't you know Princess. You are the one that brought me here..." "It was an accident that you ended up in The Land of Ooo." Princess Bubblegum answered. "I was trying to communicate with the dimension that my friend was trapped in, but I might have done something wrong..." PB's attention turned to a black board full of writing and she tried checking her work. "Four." "What?" Princess Bubblegum turned around to face the voice. "You forgot a four. You have X, but no answer for it. It's obviously four because your final answer was seventeen and you forgot to square your six." Princess Bubblegum looked at Twilight Sparkled blankly, but quickly rewrote the formula. "She's right..." I awoken in a cottage that I didn't recognize. I saw my friend Jake beside me and he was still asleep. "Jake.. Wake up..." I slurred. "Mmm. Bacon." Jake opened his eyes and looked at me. "Oh, hey Finn." "FINN!" He squeezed me and I chuckled as I hugged him back. "Quick question dude. Where are we?" Jake asked me as he pulled the hug. Our surroundings looked nothing alike to any buildings in the Candy Kingdom, and I didn't recognize anything around me.. "Hello there. I hope you two slept well." I soft voice said. Jake and I looked up and saw a butter-coated pony fly towards us. Holding two plates of oatmeal. We both looked at her in awe. This wasn't the same pony we had seen in Princess Bubblegum's castle, but she looked different. Her hair was pink and she had butterfly markings on her side. Her eyes were blue and she had a kind smile. "Here sweeties eat up." She said patting me and Jake. She set the bowl of oatmeal down beside us. "I have never seen something like you before..." She remarked as she looked into my eyes. I gulped and spoke up. "Um. Hello ma'am." The talking pony was slightly larger than Jake and I, she squealed and cuddled me in her arms. "You can talk. That's wonderfuuul." She said nuzzling my cheek. I looked at Jake who winked at me. I felt my face get hot, and shook my head at him. "Oh, dear. You're face is red. Do you have a fever?" She asked bringing a hoof along my face. "Um.. No." I said. "Wait here. I'll get an ice pack." She put me on the ground and flew out of the room. There was a knock on the cottage door and it opened. "Hey Flutters-" There was yet another pony! She had a blue coat, rainbow hair, magenta colored eyes, and a rainbow lighting bolt cutie mark. "-Have you seen Twilight..." She stared at the both of us. Jake smiled at her, his mouth full of oatmeal. The rainbow haired pony waved at us, and smiled sheepishly. "Fluuuttteeeerrrssshhhyy." She said before flying quickly and vanishing into the kitchen where the other flying pony went. There me and Jake sat quietly, Jake confused more than I. "Was there somthin' on mah face?" Jake asked my with a mouth full of oatmeal. "Uhhh. No..." I said as I face-palmed myself slightly. How are we supposed to get out of this pony world?! I thought as I watched Jake finish the remains of his oatmeal.
