                                                                    Chapter 1: The Adventure Begins

Hi, my name is Danny Ritchey. I am 19 years old. I never thought that my life couldn't get any more exciting, but boy was I wrong. This is how my whole world got turned upside down one faithful day. I was just about to be done with feeding my dogs that live outside, their names were Taz and Sister, when all of a sudden I hear this weird hum, I couldn't figure out where it was coming from, then I saw a strange purple orb behind the shed in my backyard. 

I went to see why it was there, and as I reached out for it, I felt like I was being sucked in, then as I was flying through the portal, I was screaming, "Whoa!" 

I felt like I was going through the portal for what felt like hours, then at the end of the portal I saw a castle that stood tall and proud on a mountaintop. Then I suddenly had the realization that I had seen that castle before on a T.V show, and then it hit me, "That looks like Canterlot, but it couldn't be could it?" 

As I came closer and closer to Canterlot, I saw two creatures, what seemed to be two alicorns, one of them was bigger than the other one, it was white, and wearing shining gold jewelry, then I had the thought, "Could that be Princess Celestia?" 

Then I saw the other one, it was dark blue, and it was wearing a black crown on its head, and then it hit me, "And could that be her sister, Princess Luna?"

Then I saw Princess Luna's ears twitch as if she could sense I was coming. Then with a sudden burst of energy, I flew out of the portal and across the room, right into a suit of armor, but right as I was about to hit it I thought, "Oh, this is going to hurt." 

The two princesses went to where I had crashed, I was still moaning from the impact. Then as I opened my eyes, I kind of gave myself a little jolt of surprise, because I was not used to having two alicorns staring at me before. 

Then one of them spoke, "Who are you, and how did you get here?" 

I finally clamed down from my shock, and said, "My name is Danny Ritchey, first of all, Second, I came here because of a portal that threw me into this suit of armor."

Then I said to them, "Now that I told you who I am, tell me who you are.

" "We are the Alicorn Sisters. I am Princess Celestia, and this is my sister, Princess Luna." 

Then Princess Luna spoke to me, "I had a feeling you were coming." 

I wasn't quite sure what she meant, but I had a feeling that me being here was somehow not by coincidence. 

Princess Celestia then said, "Well, it was nice to meet you Danny. Now I suggest you go down to Ponyville, I will notify my student Twilight Sparkle that you will be arriving shortly." 

I just said, "Ok." 

From that moment on I knew I was about to be on for the ride of my life, then I did what Celestia told me to do, but first she gave me some money, or as it's called in Equestria "bits" to pay for a train ticket to Ponyville. Before I stepped on to the train, she said to me, "Good luck." 

I smiled and waved goodbye, and that was when I knew my adventure has only just begun.   

 
> Chapter 2: Meeting Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash

                                                            Chapter 2: Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash

Soon I arrived in Ponyville after a short train ride from Canterlot. I walked around for a little bit, seeing the sights, taking in the smells, then I saw  a pink earth pony walk right in front of me. 

I just said "Hi", and then out of nowhere she gasps real loudly, and then just darted away, then I said to myself, "Well, that was weird." 

I soon came upon what looked like a country road, I thought about it, and then I went down the road, and then saw what looked like a barn sitting on a farm. I thought to myself, " This must me some kind of apple farm. Good, cause I could sure go for an apple right now."

Then an earth pony with a cowboy hat, green eyes, and orange fur came up, and just started shaking my hand really fast.

"Howdy, we Apples are real keen are meeting new faces, I'm Applejack."

I was just shaking from her handshake and saying, "P-P-Pleased  t-t-to m-m-meet y-y-you t-t-too, A-A-Applejack."

Soon I stopped shaking then she said to me, "So what brings you to Sweet Apple Acres?"

I said, " Well, I kind of got hungry after my train ride here."

Applejack smiled, and said, "Well, you can help yourself to one of our famous Sweet Apple Acre apples."

I said, "Thank you."

Then I said, "Also, I was sent to Ponyville by Princess Celestia to meet up with Twilight Sparkle, I guess I took the wrong turn. Do you think you can help me?"

Applejack just smiled and said, "Well sugarcube, I guess I can help you find Twilight, and maybe introduce you to my other friends too."

I smiled and said, "Sure, I like that very much, thank you."

Applejack and I were soon walking down the lane, when we saw a yellow pegasus with a light pink mane and tail. She soon saw us and came over to see us. Then she said, "Hi, Applejack. Who is your friend?"

Applejack soon answered, "This here is Danny Ritchey."

Soon the pegasus said, "Hi my name is Fluttershy."

I didn't quite catch the last bit because she said it almost quietly, so I said, "I'm sorry. What did you say your name was?"

She said," My name is Fluttershy."

I just said, "Oh, ok. Hey, we were just on our way to see Twilight. You want to come?"

Fluttershy just said, "Ok, sure."

Then as the three of us continued on our way, Applejack began to feel something in the air, so gave me a tug on my shirt and said, "I'd take cover if I were you." 

I asked, "Why?"

She replied, "Cause Rainbow Dash might be coming in for a rough landing."

I didn't understand what she meant, but then out of nowhere I felt something slam right into me, as it turns out it was none other than a light blue pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail. She was covered in mud from the mud puddle she slammed me and her right into, which I felt really disgusted by cause I think a bit of mud got in my mouth, probably why I was going, "Pfft".

She chuckled and then said, "Ha-ha, uh excuse me? Here let me help you."

She then got a small cloud and made it rain over me to clean the mud of, but after that, I was completely soaked from head to toe. She soon saw what happened and said, "Oops, I think I overdid it. Here, let's try this." 

She left and then she flew around me faster and faster until I was dry, I think she was doing what she called her patented "Rain-Blow Dry". Then she said, "No need to thank me you're quite welcome.

I just stood there with an angry look on my face, and my hair was like I was hit by an electric jolt, and what did she do? She just laughed in front of me with an amused look on her face. Then I said, "Aside from what Applejack told me, you must be Rainbow Dash."

She then stood up proudly and said, "The one and only. Why you've heard of me?"

I said, with an angry tone in my voice, "Heard of you?! You just flew down and slammed me right into a mud puddle."

She then said, "Sorry. So, who are you? I never saw you around here before."

I said to her, "It's ok. My name is Danny Ritchey, and I came from the human world via a strange portal."

She soon said, "Well, your clothes look like they could use a little fixing up. Hey, I know! We could take you to see Rarity."

I asked, "Who is Rarity?"

Rainbow Dash replied, "She is a friend of ours that knows a lot about fashion."

I said, "Ok, I guess we can go see Rarity."

Soon we were on our way to see Rarity, along the way I began to think to myself, "These ponies have been awfully nice to me, maybe I should return the favor, by becoming their new best friend. Yeah, that is sure to bring a smile to their faces."

                                                      Chapter 3: Meeting Rarity, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie

Then the four of us came to what Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash called Carousel Boutique, soon we came upon a white unicorn with a royal purple mane and tail. She was as white as the snow, well that's what I thought to myself.

Soon I said, "Excuse me miss." 

She just waved her hoof at me and said, "Not now, I am "in the zone" as it were."

Then she turned around and jumped when she saw my hair. "My stars, darling. Whatever happened to your hair?"

"My hair, uh well it got a little messy", I said with a sheepish look on my face.

Then Rarity said," Don't worry, I can have that hair fixed for you in no time."

I replied, "Thanks Rarity."

Rarity got right to work on my hair, cleaning it up, ridding it of the mud from my encounter with Rainbow Dash, and soon my hair was back to the way it was, then Rarity asked, "Where are all of you going?"

I replied, "We are going to see Twilight, Princess Celestia sent me to see her."

Rarity was in awe by what I had said, then she said, "Well, I just happen to know where Twilight lives, I can show you the way."

I said, "Thanks, oh, by the way, my name is Danny Ritchey."

Then as the five of us went on our way, the pink pony that I saw before popped up right in front of me and scared me, and if you're wondering how I know it was her, well what other did I see that was bright pink all over. 

Then the pink pony said, "Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie, but you can call me Pinkie. We met before when you got off the station."

Then I remembered she was the pony who darted away from me before.

Pinkie Pie then waved hi to Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity who were standing behind me.

They all waved hi back.

I was surprised, "These ponies are your friends?"

She said, "Yep, they are my best friends."

I said, "Well, that is convenient."

Pinkie Pie then said, "So, where are you and my friends going?"

I then told her, "We are on our way to see Twilight. I'm guessing you're wanting to come with us?"

Pinkie replied, "Sure I'll come along."

Then we went to what I saw was a big tree, on the sign read, "Golden Oaks Library".

I asked Applejack, "She lives in a library?"

Applejack replied, "Yep, but it's not just where she lives, she also works there."

I was struck with awe, then I knocked on the door, then I heard a voice, "Come in."

Then as I walked inside I saw her, Twilight Sparkle, she  was a light purple unicorn with a purple mane with a pink streak, same for her tail. She and I just stared at each other for a few seconds, then we smiled at each other.

I introduced myself first, "My name's Danny Ritchey."

Then she said, "My name is Twilight Sparkle."  

Then I said, "So, uh, I guess you got the letter from Princess Celestia, huh?

Twilight replied, "Yes, I did."

Then I said, "So I guess this five ponies are also your friends?"

She then replied, "Yes, they are my best friends, and maybe you would like to be my best friend too?"

I just had to simply say, "Yes, I will."

Twilight and her friends cheered with delight, as they began to hug me, I soon felt that they were going to be more than just my new friends, they were going to be like the sisters I never had before in my life, and I am pretty sure that I was going to be a like a new brother to them. I then thought to myself, "Yep, this is going to be the start of a brand new friendship, I can just feel it."

So that is how I somehow landed in Equestria, met  Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and became best friends with them. If I just had to say one thing, this just turned quite to be a pretty amazing day.
