> Blueblood's Passionate Crush > by Lil Beepers shipping > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1: Outside for a Picnic > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter one It was morning and Celestia's sun shined bright through the window of a young Prince Blueblood. The glaring sunlight woke up the young prince from his slumber, he rustled under the covers from his bed, groaning and slowing opening his tired eyes. It was going to be this morning again, he could just tell, but he didn't want to even get out of bed, but he had to. Blueblood stood up rubbing his eyes than stretching out his forearms and yawning. Crawling out of his covers and off of his king size bed, he slowly walked to a mirror nearby. Looking at himself, seeing his tired face in the mirror and his messy mane. Yawing again and smacking his lips, he stared a little into the mirror, a sound of the door knob turning made his head turn slowly towards it, seeing then the door half open only to be revealing his cousin princess Cadance peeking her head to see him. "Morning sleepy head, how is my favorite little cousin in this beautiful bright young morning." Cadance said with a cheery tone in her voice. Blueblood looking at Cadance seeing her smile. " Morning...." Blueblood said in a lifless tone, looking at her with a tired look, that says, Can't speak...to sleepy. Cadance look at him with a sympathetic look, smiling at him at him. "Well its obvious to me that you need to freshen up. We have a beautiful day to enjoy, and we don't need to waste the day with you looking like a sloth." Cadance said walking towards Bluebloods private bathroom, "Let me start the bath for you," Cadance said turning the bath knob with her magic, releasing running water, filling up the bath. Blueblood followed up slowly, entering the bathroom passing Cadance and heading towards the bathtub. Walking on the stepping stool, reaching to the end only to drop into the water, splashing water slightly wetting Cadance. Blueblood stayed under the water for about a couple seconds, only to then come up form under the water. Seeing his cousin poring liquid soap into the bath. "Thank you Cadance," Blueblood spoke, a little bit awake now thanks to the water. "Why are you so happy today Cadance, what's so special about today unlike every other day." Cadance smiled at Blueblood and reposed, "Well for one its so beautiful today, the sun is shinning, the air is so fresh, and flowers are blooming, its like the first day of spring.....what's not to be happy about, maybe when we..." "Please tell me that were not going to another gathering." Blueblood interrupted, with a worried look on his face. Cadance wasn't surprise that Blueblood would make that assumption, it was expected from some of his age and character. She knew that Blueblood hates parties and large gatherings, the fact that he was completely unsocial was one of his never wanting to associate with people. When it comes to parties, and gatherings Blueblood would usually be the center of attention, being adored by the nobles, surrounding him complimenting on how handsome and adorable he was, he never wanted all of that attention. Yet what was worse for him was the young fillies that surrounded him, swooning over him, wanting him only for themselves, telling then they him to be there own prince charming, and how they want to marry him. Some of the mare evens argued with each other on how they want him and who saw him first, usually ending in brawls that had to be broken up by the fillies parents, it was aggravating for him. Cadance can only smile her warm smile, looking directly at the small prince, "I assure you, we wont be going to any social gathering today, we are just going to enjoy the beautiful day outside, just you, me, Celestia and the beautiful outdoors, no one else." Cadance said, and with that, Blueblood gave a innocent and happy smile, his grin was stretch across his cheeks and his eyes were full of both happiness and relief, it was adorable. "Now hurry and wash yourself up, breakfast will be ready shortly." Cadance spoke. "Ok," Blueblood said, and with that, Blueblood started to wash himself and play in the tube and Cadance walk out the bathroom. After Blueblood was finished with his bath, he got himself groomed up and dressed up. He than headed down stares to breakfast where Cadance was sitting in the dinning hall, waiting for the meal come. Blueblood took his seat across were Cadance was, it wasn't long for the breakfast to come. Two servants entered the dinning hall, both carrying there breakfast, While Blueblood ask Cadance were discussing what were they going to do outside today. "Well Blueblood, I'm going to let you decide what we should to do today," Cadance said. Blueblood paused to think, trying think what he wanted to do outside with Cadance and Celestia today. They could go out hiking on a small trail, or maybe bird watching. Blueblood then looked at the window, thinking that today was a day that he could just relax and look at the beautiful scenery outside. "Lets have a picnic," said Blueblood "and can I pick the spot, I know the perfect spot, please." He ask, putting his hooves together, trying to look as cute as possible. Cadance knows she couldn't say no to a face, and a picnic would be nice for a lovely day like this. "A picnic sounds like a great idea, I could set up the picnic basket, you just get yourself ready while I'm doing that." "No wait Cadance I can help with the picnic basket, please." "Alright Blueblood you can help, but get yourself ready first." Cadance said. Blueblood agreed and continued to eat his breakfast. Cadance watched him eat so happily, she could tell that he was in one of his good moods today. Probably due to the fact that they weren't going to any social gatherings today. Or the fact that only he and his closest family were going to be with him, no one else. Right after breakfast, Blueblood went back to his room to immediately brush his teeth and comb his mane, while he got himself ready Cadance was in the kitchen to set up the picnic basket. Once Blueblood was finished, he came down stares to help Cadance with the picnic basket. After they set up the basket, Cadance wrote a letter to Celestia about the picnic and that Blueblood knew the spot that he wanted to have it. It was wasn't until 30 seconds later Celestia replied back with a letter saying that it was a perfect idea and that she will there. Once outside on the palace entrance, Blueblood and Cadance waited for Celestia to show up. Waiting for Celestia for 3 minutes but to Blueblood it felt like hours. "Where is she?" ask Blueblood, "You'll said she will be coming." "She coming Blueblood, she is just finishing up her private magic lessons with her student." Cadance replied. Blueblood was wiring in place and groaning impatiently. He couldn't stand the wait anymore wanting to her to show up. "Be patient Blueblood, she's will be coming soon." Cadance said. "But day could be wasted, and just like you said, it is the perfect day outside." he replied. "It's only 1 o'clock, we have all the time to enjoy the day." Cadance said to Blueblood was now looking for signs for Celestia and starting to get upset. "Her lessons couldn't be that long, can it?" Blueblood said getting both annoyed and upset. "You must really want have this picnic don't you Blueblood." said a kind and calm voice. Both Blueblood and Cadance turn to see there Aunt Celestia, who finally appeared smiling warmly at her niece and nephew. Blueblood eyes lit up and his face quickly grew a wide smile, started to run towards his aunt. "AUNTIE!" Blueblood yelled joyfully and hugged Celestia. "Hello Blueblood," she said returning the hug, Blueblood looked up go see her smiling. "I though you would never come Auntie!" he spoke. "I said I coming Blueblood, I just had to finish my private tutoring sessions with one of my students." Celestia replied. "You seem to be eager have me come along for your picnic that you forgot your lessons in patients." she continued as Blueblood let go of her, he looked down feeling sorry for his lack of patients. "I'm sorry Auntie, I just really you to come, It's just a nice day outside, and I really want to spend the day with you and Cadance and...." Blueblood was interrupted with Celestia's chuckle and her placing hoof on his shoulder. "It's ok, I understand, your apology is accepted." she said, and with that, Blueblood smiled. "Now, you said you knew the perfect the picnic spot." Celestia said. Prince Blueblood, Princess Celestia and Princess Cadance strolled in the vast open fields, admiring the open scenery while heading towards Bluebloods choice of spot. Stopping on occasion to complement the clear blue sky and the far side mountain ranges, while on the way to the spot. Blueblood who seemed to be in a happy go lucky mood and full energy, frolicked ahead of his Aunt and cousin, heading toward his desired spot. "Are we there yet cousin?" ask Candace. "Almost, it's just atop of that hill." Blueblood said gleefully, he continued his happy frolicking up the hill. They all finally reach to the top of the hill, Princess Celestia and Cadance continued looked out to see the surrounding view, appreciating the sight. Cadance amazed by the view, seeing the palace in full view from this spot, a complement escaped Cadance lips as she was taking in the sight. Wow, I guess I was right to have you choose the spot, this view is amazing. Blueblood was smiling to himself proudly, looking up to see both his cousin and his aunt in amazement on looking at the direction of the palace, knowing that he knew that they will like this spot. "I found this spot last week when I was taking a stroll around the castle plains. Its seem like the perfect to do read or to have lunch." He said with self satisfaction. Celestia smiled at him, looking at his proud posture, and princely bravado. Celestia started to think how much he reminded her of his parents, his father, Prince Visigoth, and his mother, Princess Realeza. he looked liked his father, from his coat and mane, but he had his mother's artic blue eyes. He also had his father's confident personality, brave spirit and radiant smile, well he would, if he wasn't as shy as he was, he had his mother's intelligence though, and he had both of their adventuring attitude. Celestia was about to set up the picnic blanket, but Blueblood being a young gentle-colt offered to set up the blanket. He use magic to flatten out the blanket and placing it on the ground. Celestia and Cadance thank him for setting it up the picnic blanket for them which he responded with a bow, Cadance place the picnic basket on the blanket, then using her magic to set the food that was prepared for this picnic, a couple of sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, fruits, and apple juice. As they were eating, they discuses mostly on the weather, and how little rain had happened this session. Celestia and Cadance then talked about Celestia's star pupil, which Blueblood not hearing the conversation continued to eat and began to stare at the butterflies that were fluttering threw the fields. Cadance and Celestia continued to talk about the star pupil in great length, which Blueblood began to grow a curiosity about this star pupil, wondering why they both talked about this rising star so much. Curious to know who was this star pupil Blueblood, honed in to the conversation, wanting know about this "star pupil" seemingly growing a interested into this student Celestia talked about so much. Blueblood listen, trying to get some clues about who this pony is, only to learn that it was same pony that Celestia said was able to hatch a dragon egg, but not only that, she levitated the examiners and made the same dragon grew into an incredibly large size that it broke through the roof. Celestia could never stop talking about that day, he forgot the name, he was always disinterested about what Celestia had to say about her session with her students. But now that he is listening and learning things about Celestia "star pupil", he cant help to know who she was, and why his aunt talked such great length about her. He had to know, his curiosity was consuming him. As politely as possible Blueblood ask. "Pardon me for intruding into this conversation auntie, but who is this mare you speak so fondly of?" Celestia and Cadance looked at Blueblood, Celestia answered with a grinned. "I thought you would be interested, well as you have a right to know, my star pupils name is Twilight Sparkle, one of the most talented young fillies I have ever seen and possibly the most powerful unicorn as well, with highly powerful magic yet untapped but is still gifted with such power. She could be the most powerful unicorn I have ever seen in my life time." Blueblood was in aw in what Celestia said about this Twilight Sparkle, this student of hers was talent in the magic arts and not to mention so powerful that she was not just able to levitate ponies but hatched and enlarge a dragon. Blueblood was amazed about this student, such talented powers powerful beyond her age. He wondered, was she wise beyond her youth as well, did she liked to read classical novels, did she read spell books and practice spells on her spare time. What was her background, was she born from nobility in Canterlot or was she a regular everyday unicorn from Ponyville. So many question flew around inside his head that he became lost in thought, he had an inquisitive look on his face, lost in his own thought and curiosity about this young mare. It was not until Celestia snapped him back in to reality to with what she would say. "Well I'm glad to see that you are so interested about, maybe you can learn more about her personally when she comes over for dinner tonight." And with that Blueblood face turn into horror and shock to what his aunt said and yelled. "WHAT!" Celestia was taken back when she saw her nephew's negative reaction. "Twilight Sparkle and her family are coming over for dinner as a small celebration for her performance in her studies, and since you'll be there too, I though that it would be a such a nice opportunity for you to meet her in person." Celestia continued with cheerfulness in her voice, trying hard to sound like it was a good idea and it is not as bad as he would perceive. Blueblood was still upset, he continued to complain about this dinner plane that he was just informed about. "I know when you mean small celebration you mean a large gathering, probably her entire family, every living relative coming to congratulate her. And the possibility of few nobles and there children showing up as well." Blueblood protested in a fit of both rage and panic. . Blueblood turned to Cadance his voice almost cracking up. "You said that we wouldn't be going to any gathering or parties today, you said that we are just going to enjoy this day outside with no one else intruding!" Cadance felt guilty, she didn't know that there was going to be a small dinner party until now, she a made a face that looked that said she was sorry and that she didn't know about this until now. There nothing she could do, all she can so is feel sorry for Blueblood. She tried to say something but was interrupted by Blueblood's groan of disappointment. As He groaned in frustration and distress, his mind raced with the thought that he would be forced to meet this mare's entire family, which means people crowding over him, invading his personal space, pinching his cheeks till they turned red. Not to mention the fillies swooning over him, fighting over him, trying to kiss him. Blueblood almost felt betrayed, he only wanted to spend the day with his closest loved ones, his placed his face in his hooves shaking his head almost like he was on verge of crying. "Don't get upset my nephew, you always come to the worst conclusion."Celestia said in her attempt to calm Blueblood down. "Its a small dinner party Blueblood, not a large gathering". Blueblood was going to say something back, but Celestia intervened. "Its not a large family that's coming over, its only her mom and dad, as well as her older brother". With the mention of Twilight's brother, Cadance blushed a little. Blueblood calm down and was little bit relived, to hear about the fact that it was only this young mares parents and her older brother attending the dinner. "Well that reassures my self being, now that you mention it I guest it wouldn't hurt to speak to this talent young mare, Twilight must be wise beyond her youth, containing vast knowledge of history and literature. I wonder if she will be surprised by my vast knowledge when she sees that I'm only a 6 year old." Blueblood stated, calming down entirely, his eyes looking right up at the sky and pondering about this mare. Celestia then responded to Bluebloods statement. "Well you'll be surprise yourself about her age, but you'll see in the end that you and Twilight both have a lot in common." Blueblood's eyes shifted at Celestia to her remark she made, "What do mean." Blueblood responded back. Celestia then continued. "Well Twilight is just about the same age as you, which makes me think that you two will get along just fine." She said in a confidant tone. Blueblood calm and hopeful attitude than switch back to his upset demeanor, once he heard the fact that she was about the same age. "The same age!"Blueblood yelled. "That's even worse, she will be swooning all over me, and on top of that she is only mare coming to this dinner, there is no else coming meaning she will have all the opportunity she wants to steal my kiss." He complained. "You always think of the negative Blueblood, just for once think of the positive of meeting someone new, it's just you and Twilight getting to know each other". Celestia said. "But remember, I'll be force to consult with this one mare, who will swoon all over me and will try to kiss me. It may not be as worse like the last parties in the past where there would be over 20 fillies all over me, but its still the one." Blueblood continued to complained. "Don't let your past experience with fillies cloud you judgment of her, this mare is completely different from all the other young mares you encountered in the past. I assure you, Twilight Sparkle is completely mature for her age." Celestia said in her attempt to comfort Blueblood, he only crossed his hooves and groaned in retaliation, his eyes looking away from. Blueblood's body posture showed a combination of anger, and sadness. Celestia only sighed in disappointment, she knew that Blueblood hated parties and hated meeting large crowds and meeting other ponies, she though that having protégé Twilight meeting the young price Blueblood would finally have him opening up and finally being social. Yet she understood her nephews objections to this idea, for to long he had been hounded by every noblemen's daughter for about two years, either it was because of how handsome and charming he is or the fact that he was a prince, and they expect him to be there story book fantasy. He was not just a target for love crazed fantasy filled fillies, but noble families as well, wanting there daughters to seduce Blueblood, to make him fall in love with one of the families' daughter or one of there daughters so that they can become royalty by marriage. Everyone always wanted wanted to see him, but he didn't want all of that attention, Blueblood couldn't take the pressure, but Celestia knew that if he didn't interact with anyone, he could be stay the same socially awkward and shy colt that he was now. Blueblood need interaction for his own sake, and because it was unbefitting of prince. "Blueblood, listen, I'm doing this for your own good, I know your shy but you need to open up, socialize a little. I think you meeting Twilight Sparkle will help you come out of your shy cocoon, and end your social awkwardness." Celestia paused, looking at Blueblood to see him looking little bit ashamed and guilty for his outburst. Yet there still some resistance in his eyes though. "You need a friend Blueblood, someone for you to hang out with, to talk to, and to be there for you, friendship is important in somepony's life, especially for somepony's of your age and most importantly your status. Royal life will be extremely stressful when you become of age Bluey, and the way you act sometimes, silent and shy, it will set up a horrible image for yourself, that's why you need a friend, to help you through all that. Now she may not be a noble, but she will no doubt help you to get through your troubles, and you'll help her with her troubles in return." She paused again, Blueblood then looked up at Celestia, now with a sad look, but she understand everything she was saying. Celestia then sighed, "Look Blueblood, I know its been hard for you ever since your parents died, and I know you miss them very much, but you need to stop shutting people out just because of all of those bad experiences you had from all of those parties. It was my mistake to have you go without me being there for you, with all of those crowds in one place, so many ponies faces looking at you. It was horrible for you, but that can't discourage you from finding a friend. Your parents wouldn't have wanted you to be alone, with no friends for the rest of your life would they?" she finished. With the mention of his parents, Blueblood looked down on the picnic blanket with a look of regret and shame. He hated the idea of meeting new ponies, and he knew that he was extremely shy. Yet Aunt Celestia was right, his parents would have wanted him to make friends, maybe he could find a friend, and maybe this Twilight Sparkle could be that friend he was looking for, but another side of him said that she was just going to be like the rest and that there was nothing to look forward to, his mind was in conflict with both ideas. In one hand he didn't want to meet her and just be alone with the only family he's got left. But on the other hand, he wanted to try this out, to meet this mare, to make and his auntie happy and to honor his deceased parents. But when it all comes down to it, he had no other choice, he would have to meet this mare anyway, but this time he would make the effort be nice to her and not run away, but somewhere in his mind, he knew that he was going to regret it this decision. Blueblood looked to see his cousin who watching the entire scene play, not saying anything, he then looked back at Celestia. Blueblood sighed and finally spoke. "Ok auntie, I will give it a shot. I will introduce myself to Miss Sparkle per your request". Celestia then grew a huge smile on her, and then hugged Blueblood. He was surprised by her gesture and wanted to ask why was he given a hug but before he could say that Celestia spoked. "I'm so proud of you my nephew." She then lessen her embrace so to look at his face. "The fact that you would gives this a chance really shows that you are turning into the mature prince that your parent wanted you to be." Blueblood smiled a bit from the complement, it made him happy to see his auntie happy. "I just know that you and Twilight Sparkle will be the best of friends." Celestia completed. Blueblood was unsure about the whole ordeal but he would gives friend part a chance, he didn't want to say anything else negative in order to keep Celestia now happy mood intact. "Lets us continue enjoying this lovely afternoon shall we." Celestia concluded looking at both Blueblood and Cadance. They nodded and continued to eat their launches as well as enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Blueblood did continue eating, looking onward at the countryside, but his mind was on the decision he made, and whether there was the chance that he might regret it. Only he will find out for himself, as if he had the choice. To learn about Twilight Sparkle first hand for himself, and if she is the friend that was missing in his life. > Chapter 2: When He Meet Her > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter Two It was exactly 6:42pm, and the Twilights family were to come for dinner at the palace around 7pm. Prince Blueblood was in his room preparing for that said dinner. He wore his tuxedo collar with the blue bowtie, which he was just about to finish putting it on with the help of magic. He practically knew how to put on a bowtie, all thanks to his father who taught him how to put them on when Blueblood was about four. He finished putting on his bowtie, tightening it up, giving it a few small tugs so it wouldn't get loose. He looked at himself in the mirror, all dressed up and groomed to perfection. He was full of anxiety and he had tense look on his face. Earlier in the afternoon was full of curiosity, wanting to know how this mare would act when they would met. Would she be just like all the other mares, swooning over him love stricken by his looks and title or would she be different? He trust what Celestia said about her but just because she was all knowing, doesn't mean she can't make mistakes when it she comes to reading other ponies. "No, don't be so cynical about her, she is deferent, Celestia said so, she's her student for crying out loud," he thought to himself. He didn't want to believe that she was wrong about Twilight being mature, she worked with her, she couldn't be wrong. He remembered what Celestia said to him during the picnic, "Don't let your past experience with fillies cloud you judgment of her," he wanted to believe that but there some part of his mind that conflicted to what she said that kept saying, "Just because Celestia said that she worked with her doesn't mean you can't just take her word for it, this Twilight Sparkle is just after your physical attraction and title, stay vigilant and don't give in to naiveté!" His conscious was basically telling him to stay closed and fear for the worst from this filly when she comes. This made him completely anxious all around, not knowing what to expect from this mare when they will interact. "Well don't you look sharp tonight?" He turned to see Cadance at the door, all presentable in her formal dinner dress. "Hello Cadance" was all he could say, in a sulking tone. "What's wrong Bluey, can't your cousin come to your check up on you?" The princess said. Blueblood sighed, "It's not you, it just....its just...." It took a moment to think of what he had to say. Cadance look at him with the upmost concern but with a look of sympathy while he was thinking, then he finally spoke looking down at the floor in torment. "It's just that I don't know what to expect from Miss Twilight Sparkle, I barely know her. I know this whole thing was set up by auntie Celestia and I know it is for my own good, and auntie Celestia was extremely exultant when I agreed to this endeavor, but she excepts me to be befriend this mare while I'm praying that she is not like the rest of the mares I had the misfortune to encounter. Though I am greet this mare with up most respect and gentle-stallion competent, I'm scared but I want to make anutie Celestia make her happy yet I'm...." Blueblood was cut off by Cadance comforting him by putting her hooves on his shoulders. "There is no need to get so fussy about this, you worry to much sometimes." She finished in her sweet and lovable tone and warm comforting smile. "You want to know something might help you feel more comfortable." Blueblood peeked up to look at his cousin in a hopeful interest in what Cadance had to say. She came closer to Blueblood, she spoked in a whisper like tone, "I should have told you during the picnic but, I'm Twilight foalsitter and I can assure you that there is no need to worry, she is fun loving, sweet, well educated, full of knowledge and is all at well mature, for a 6 year old at least." Blueblood was completely unaware about the fact that Cadance was Twilights foalsitter and that she personally knows her as well. He didn't know what to think of it at first, but she was just trying to make him feel better and Cadance was always great at doing that, and somehow, this tidbit made him feel better, little bit better though, but he felt better none the less. Mostly due to Cadance's motherly kindness and cheerful spirit. "Now do you feel better?" the princess ask. "A little." He said in a sheepish smile. "Good, now how about you give me a smile." She said encouraging her cousin. Blueblood was hesitant at first but he did his best, but can only give her a fake smile. "Oh come on, you can do better that, now show that smile." She said and started to tickle him. He couldn't help but laugh now as well as smile, she continued to tickle him vigorously until he spoke, begging for mercy through his fits of laughter. "Hahahahahahhahahahahaha.......hehehehahahahahahaa........hahahaaahahahaa.....hehe..stop it...hahahahaha...you know I'm ticklish...hahahahahahaha..." Blueblood pleaded, bursting with laughter. Cadance listen to her cousin's pleas of mercy and stopped tickling him. Cadance smirked at her cousin who laughing out his excess laughter. Once he stopped, he took deep breaths and regain his posture. "Ok, now show that smile." Cadance said, and Blueblood now in a better mood smiled broadly. "There's that smile", she said delighted by his grin. Blueblood then looked at the grandfather clock in his room seeing that is was about 6:50. Cadance look at the clock as well. "Well look at the time, it's 10 minutes until they come. We better get ready for our guest, lets go dear cousin." Blueblood nodded and followed Cadance out of his room. Twilight's family would be arriving any second now, Celestia instructed Blublood and Cadance to stand with her at the entrance hall to greet them when they come in. Blueblood stand to the right of his aunt, while Cadance stood on the opposite side. Celestia inspected her nephew and niece, and while looking at Blueblood she saw that he was completely composed. Standing tall like the prince he was, but Celestia saw through his figure, knowing that he was trying his best, not to show that he was nervous. He was told that Twilight has smart, fun loving, sweet, and mature, but that was told by Cadance from her own experience with her, she wasn't the opposite sex and isn't the same age as her and most defiantly wasn't a prince, that title along with his charming good looks made him irresistible. His looks and his title was a curse he had to bear. Celestia felt concern for her nephew, she was told by Cadance that he was so worried about meeting her, and how he didn't know how Twilight would react. It was true that Celestia planed this whole thing, but she honestly didn't know herself how Twilight would reacted to meeting him for the first time, young fillies seem to have an irresistible liking to him and that irritated him to the core. No mare would act herself when he was around, they would always go gaga over him. They would droll over him, entranced by his looks and smitten by his title. It was a mistake on her part to leave in him alone with a bunch of young love struck fillies. Every filly wanted him to be her own prince charming, only wanting him to whisk her away to a castle and to live the rest of their life as a princess and to live happily ever after, just like in a fairytale. She trusted Twilight though, knowing full well that she would act herself when meeting him. She would never lower her self for any handsome young foal even if he was a prince, she wasn't that type of filly. This couldn't be the case, she was doing this not just for Blueblood sake but for Twilight sake as well, they both needed a friend, sure Twilight had her older brother she called her B.B.B.F.F, and Blueblood had herself and Cadance, but they need real friends not just family, not to say that family wasn't important but they need friends, they needed ponies that they could depend on when their family wasn't around, and share a special bond of mutual affection with. "Blueblood, are you alright?" Celestia asked her nephew. "I'm perfectly fine thank you." He replied not looking at his aunt with equanimity, and a look of readiness on his face. "Are you sure?" Celestia said, looking at him raising an eye brow, knowing that there is something with her nephew. Blueblood looked up to see his aunt face, seeing that she was eyeballing him with a concern look. "Well...I am kind of nervous now that I think about it." "Just Relax Blueblood, everything is will be fine. Just remember, you promise me that you'll give this a chance will you." "I will." He responded to his aunt. He remembered his promises, but he was still nervous. It was clear that this time he was ready and willing to meet her but on the other hand he was full of anxiety, not knowing what will happen when meeting her face to face, though trying his best to not to think about it and hopping it will be a positive outcome. Celestia smiled, knowing full well that Blueblood would do his best to be sociable towards Twilight, and knowing that Twilight will be sociable herself towards Blueblood. She then looked at Cadance who was all prepared. She smiled to her self all was ready for tonight and everypony was ready and at there best. Suddenly, a clicking sound from the large door which cause Blueblood to flinch as looked at the door, which was opening with a lingering creak to reveal Twilight Sparkle and her family. "Greetings Twilight, I'm glad you came." said a welcoming Celestia. Twilights eyes lit up in excitement and glee seeing her teacher. "Princess Celestia!!" She said happily running up to Celestia, "I'm glad to be here it an complete honor to visit you in your palace..." She rapidly said in amazement and excitement, looking all around the scenery then to see her foalsitter, smiling warmly. "Cadance!" She said running up to her in pure joy to see her foalsitter and embracing her. "Twily!" she said in equal enjoyment returning the hug. They both released there hug and started doing a rhyme with a little dance. "Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake...clap you're hooves and do a little shake!" They both finished and laughed some more, the purple filly bouncing jollity. Blueblood got a good look at her, her coat was a light grey mulberry purple, with her mane and tail being both dark blue with dark pink and violate streaks. Her eyes were a perfect violate color. On her flank was a raspberry color six pointed star, with white tips coming from the star and five white stars circling the main raspberry color star. Blueblood had to admit she was pretty to say the least. "Princess Celestia, our family is honored to visit you in your humble palace" Said a bowing blue coated stallion, his dark blue mane was perfectly well combed and his eyes were amber colored. This was obviously the filly's father. "Twilight was so looking forward for to this dinner, you don't know how happy she was to tell us that we all have been invited to come." The mare who bowed along side her husband was her mother, her coat was light grey, and her eyes blue. Her mane was the same style as her daughter, but the colors were both purple and white. "This is..." "My Big Brother Best Friend Forever Shinning Armor" Said a over enthusiastic Twilight, interrupting her mother and skipped over to her older brother and wrap her arms around his. Her brother, a stallion with a blue color mane and eyes, and a Snow White coat was smiling sheepishly by his sister's personal title but his smile was full of affection. "Shinning Armor your highness, it's an honor to be graced by your presence." He said bowing towards the White Alicorn. "The pleasure is all mine, your sister has talked so much about you. Even Cadance said a few kind words about you." She finished looking at Cadance with a humorous smile. "She did...? Oh... uh...I mean she did, did she?" Shinning Armor said flustered, trying to keep his cool, but was blushing. Twilight looked up at her brother and giggled. Cadance was blushing as well looking at the floor in embarrassment. Blueblood took a guess that Shinning Armor had a crush on his cousin who might have a thing for him too by the looks of it, but he wouldn't know. "Oh Twilight Sparkle, I like you to meet someone." Twilight let go of her brothers arm and looked up at Celestial with full attention. "This is my nephew, Prince Blueblood." She said turning towards Blueblood and presenting him as if he was royalty, which he was. Blueblood who was once at ease with a calm demeanor felt nervous. Yet he still kept his noble stance. She looked at him, and he looked at her. He grew more nervous than ever before, and now she began walking towards him, his heart begins to beat rapidly. She stops, now at perfect contact level. His heart was now beating at a rate that was abnormal, he felt small drops of sweat coming down on the right side of his face, unnoticeable to anyone. Her face than produced a smile and her eyes were sparking in delight. Blueblood couldn't breathe, nor was he able to move. His entire body was frozen in fear. It was that look, that look that was on every filly's face when they saw him before, and now she had it. "Oh no, hear it comes." He thought to himself. Some where in his mind, he knew this was a bad idea, and he agreed to it. She was just like the rest, and now he was going to pay. Then suddenly she reach out her hoof, and spoke in a affable tone . "Hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle." Blueblood saw this and at first didn't know what to think. No filly had ever reach out their hooves to shake, it was a gesture that was completely new by his definition when it came to fillies. Blueblood took a more thorough look at her face, she had a warm friendly smile and her eyes were warm and welcoming. This look was completely new to him when it was on a filly. Usually their eyes were full if want, batting there eyelashes at him, and there faces had flirtatious smiles on them. This was a huge relief on his part but was so transfix by her gesture and her face, something that was completely unexpected for him; he never seen a filly do this before. He was stunned by this that he almost forgot to respond. He then began to return the gesture, shaking hooves with her. "Prince Blueblood...it's...nice to meet you." "It's nice to meet you to." Twilight said in a warm cheery voice. This was all new to him completely new, from the kind and appropriate gesture to the un-sultry warm friendly smile. He began to enjoy this he smiled back to her in return. They both let go. Unbeknownst to them both Celestial was smiling at this display. She didn't doubt Twilight for a second but she knew that Blueblood could do it was well, she knew he could over come his past experiences and shyness. She saw Blueblood and Twilight finished their hoof shake and continued to speak small talk. "So...your Celestia's nephew, and a prince? That's so awesome." She said completely amazed by the fact that she was actually meeting another one of Princess Celetia's relative. "Well...yay...heh heh....I guess it is, thank you." Blueblood said bashfully rubbing the back of his head, his eyes looking away from hers and blushing. It wasn't that he was ashamed of his royal heritage and title, it was just that he wasn't complimented about his royal statues in such a greedy or lustful manner. It was so wired, but it so refreshing, so friendly. When a filly meest him and learns about his title and birthright they would always go. "Oh your a prince, and a member of the royal line? That is so charming." Basically the same thing that they would always say expecting him to charmed them and to take their hoof and kiss it in a romantic gesture. Though when she said it, it was real, an actually real genuine friendly complement that wasn't said with a sultry tone. "So, where are your parents? I would like to meet them," Twilight said eagerly. Blueblood's smile had switch to a small frown and his ears went down. Celestia turned her eyes to Blueblood with a look of sympathy, so did Cadance. Twilight looking innocent looked at him wondering what was wrong. "There... not here," said Blueblood. Twilight misinterpreted as to say that they weren't around or that they couldn't make because of some important royal business. She continued with her questions on his parents whereabouts, not realizing the sadden expression on his face. "Oh...so their not here?" She ask, "They...they died...two years ago," He said depressingly. Twilight face turn into utter shock when she heard that his parents were dead, and regret for her carefree attitude she had when approaching the subject of his parents. Twilight felt so guilty, she didn't know that his parents were dead and wish she could taken back what she said and been more empathic about it. "I'm so...so...so sorry, I shouldn't have known, a million apologies dear prince, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" Twilight said apologetically with up most sympathy, "Ugh, I can be so stupid sometimes...stupid stupid stupid!" Twilight said so regrettably hitting herself on the head completely ashamed. "Its ok, don't beat yourself up, its ok, you didn't know. Its not your fault, I accept your apology." Blueblood said comforting her. "Really, you do?" Twilight said, her ears sprang up. The Prince smiled the same warm and friendly smile she had displayed earlier, "Fully," he said reassuringly with kindness. "Thanks," Twilight concluded with a sigh of relief. Everyone else in the room saw this, and all were smiling happily, seeing the scene of their first interaction play out. Celestia was probably the most happiest out of all of them. They seem to get along so well, it was all according to plan, they might be on their way into becoming friends. "How about we all go to the dinning room for dinner shall we?" She said breaking the silence. Everyone agreed and followed her to the dinning room. All was well at the dinner table, everyone was eating as well as talking, Celestia was having a conversation with Twilight parents. Cadance and Shinning Armor were also in a conversation with each other. Blueblood and Twilight seem to be only ones that weren't in conversation with each other. Twilight would say a few things in one of the older ponies conversations though, or she will be telling a story about Cadance foalsitting her, but Blueblood was quiet. He would eat his food quietly, shooting a few quick glances at Twilight when he got the chance, when Twilight would turn to look at him he would quickly moves his eyes to look down at his plate avoiding her glances, causing Twilight to frown a bit and to turn back eminently to the adults. Celestia saw this and was both confused by her nephews withdrawn shyness and unsociable behavior when he just had a nice conversation with her when he was introduce to her formally, granted it was one sided conversation but it they talked non the less. Twilight seem eager to be friendly with the diffident prince, but he was avoiding her like he was to frighten to even speak. Celestia knew this was a product of his shy nature, plus his inability to start a conversation with somepony he just meet, of course he would feel a bit uncomfortable, but this was his moment to get out of his shy cocoon and be a sociable friendly butterfly. "-and then when Cadance calls him out and said that he was cheating, he offered her a play, and when she accepted it she betted 10 bits that she would guess correctly which cup had the ball, and when she guessed she took the ball right out of the swindler's back pocket exposing him for the cheater he was. Everypony got their money back and me and Cadance went for some ice cream," as she finished her story, Shining Armor, Night Light and Princess Celestia laughed. The only ones not laughing were Cadance, who was blushing and bashful smile. Twilight Light Velvet who had a disapproving look on her face, she shot a look at her husband who stop laughing the moment she shot her glaring stare at him, and Blueblood who was shooting quick glances at Twilight. "I will never get tired of hearing that story. You really must have showed him?" Shinning Armor laughed after Twilight finished her story of the swindler. Then looked at Cadance who turned her eyes away in modesty. "Well he had it coming, no pony scams other ponies out of their money and gets away with." Cadance stated proudly, but with an air of humility. "For sure!" Twilight exclaimed. "Well now Twilight knows never to deal with ponies and to keep an eye out for those shifty characters. Isn't that right sweetie?" Her mother said in a somewhat stern voice. "Yes mom." She answered innocently. Celestia chuckled, "Well as long as you learn who and who not to associate with and keep Cadance with you I think its safe to say that now you know I on the other hand find the story to be funny. Wouldn't you say so yourself Blueblood? "Wha... huh? Oh yes... quite amusing." He muttered. Blueblood took a bite out of food looking withdrawn and not making eye contact with anyone but his plate. Until he looked up at Twilight, staring at her for a few seconds until she looked right at his direction only to see that he was looking at his plate this time slightly blushing. Celestia saw her nephew with his head down looking anxiously. "Blueblood, why don't you ask Twilight something about herself." Said Celestia, trying to give her nephew a little push to start a conversation between Twilight and the prince. This cause him to look straight up at his aunt with a ‘what’ look on his face while she only gave him a confident smile. "Don't worry, it could be anything." "Yah ask me anything, I'm an open book." said Twilight. Blueblood finally looked straight at Twilight who was looking right back at him smiling. He was a bit uncomfortable, put into a position in wear he would have to ask Twilight a question of any topic, it was difficult to say the least. He tried to think of something to say, something that wasn't awkward nor one that wouldn't offend her. Until he though of the word book, the only thing he could come up with. His eyes turned towards Twilight awaiting his question. "So...have you read any good books lately?" He ask softly, almost muttering the question. "Yeah, I had read some good books now that you mentions." Twilight answered with a chippered voice. "You have. What were they?" Blueblood asked again surprised. "Well, I'm currently reading Theories Surrounding The Art of Dark Magic and History of The Second Dragon War." She replied. Blueblood was surprised to hear those recognizable names, those were advance level books he read, no else in his age group would ever read those books, he never met anyone in his age group that ever read advance books. She then grew a sheepish look on her face, like she had randomly blurted out an answer to an algorithm problem. Thinking that he had never heard of those books before, but unbeknownst to her he did. 'Have you-" "Read them before, yah I have" He said with reassuring enthusiasm. "What chapter are you on?" Twilight smiled when she heard his question. "Well, right now on Theories Surrounding The Dark Arts, I'm on chapter 17..." "The chapter on the different types of dark magic made constructs." Blueblood add. "And what chapter are you on in History of The Second Dragon War." "Well on that one I'm on chapter 20. That chapters about the-" "The skirmish with the dragons in Eastern Saddle Arabia during the Saddle Arabian campaign." "Yah! In where the sultans were so reluctant in ading the Royal Army, but had to in the end, in order to get the Dragon hoards off their lands." "I know, the sultans back then were land hungry and greedy, they didn't have much military strength since they used most of their forces to fight each other, and not to mention the fact that they only saw the Royal Army as invaders. They help in the in end but it was in the very end of the Saddle Arabian campaign." "Those generals of the Royal Army weren't happy about that. Almost cause a international incident with their temper, but honestly who can blame them. The sultans couldn't have banded together to fight the dragons from the beginning, but they were all to greedy to even think about it, they didn't even help there own villagers when the dragons attacked." Twilight remarked. "That cause so much anger among the civilians, that would cause most of them to rise up and rebel against their sultan masters. 20 Years later, they would unite under Lord Scimitar, who would united the lands under one kingdom." Blueblood added. "Lord Scimitar? Oh yay the first king of Arabia. I'm sorry, I just started reading History of The Saddle Arabia Civilization and the Civilization of The Great Holy Romare Empire." Twilight remarked. "The Holy Romare Empire? That is my personal favorite civilizations." Blueblood said back. "I have every single book that contains the history of each and every individual eras. All of them go into great detail of that said era." Twilight was impressed by that small fact. "You have every single book telling the history of each and every era of the Holy Romare Emprie? Cool! Which one's your favorite era?" She ask him in interest. "My favorite era is the Vladimir era. It was the most richest part of its history and was the highlight of the empire." He replied to an enthralled Twilight. "That's my favorite era too, but I mostly like the Von Gladius era. That's was when the Crystal Empire emerged..." Twilights parents glanced at their daughter talking to the young prince, the both of them smiled at the sight of their daughter talking to a foal of her own age. "Look at them both." said Twilight Velvet. "They both seemed to be getting along very well." Added Night Light. Celestia looked over at the two foals who were in deep conversation and smiled, it warm her heart to see her nephew and pupil in conversation. She decide that she might have to take it a little further between the two. To have them alone, so that they can get to know each other a little more. "Blueblood, how about you show Twilight to your room and show her your book collection." Celestia told Blueblood who looked at his aunt dubiously, a bit skeptical about the idea almost like she was asking him to ask him out on a date. He open his mouth to say something but she intervened. "Don't worry, you can be excused." She said to him. Twilight was more than happy to hear her say that, and got off from her chair and wen trotted to the entrance, Blueblood too got out of his chair, he walked to the door then paused to looked at his aunt who gave him a reassuring smile, "Go on, it will be fine", he then headed towards the entrance and out of the dining room, Twilight following behind him. Blueblood open the door to his room using his magic, than he allowed Twilight to enter the room first, she thanked the gentle-colt and entered. Her head to looked around his room, awestruck by the size of his bedroom as if she never seen a noble's room before. It was a relatively large room, with a blue carpet floor and three tall windows, with the window on the right over looking the bed which was in the far end of the room. "Wow, you have a nice room." Twilight said impressively. Blueblood was bashful towards the comment but thanked her non the less. He never had anyone other than his aunt and cousin come in his room before. It was almost frightening for him, welcoming a stranger into his room let alone a filly that wasn't his family, and the same age as him no less. However, this was the to be best opportunity to get to know her better. Twilight then pointed at the large book shelf near the second window, containing a large array of books, "Are those are all your books?" She ask attentively. "Why yes they are, classic novels, historical literature, plays, autobiographies, poetry, anthologies, science, art and much more, all arrange in perfect order." Blueblood said proudly. Twilight stared bright eyed at the book shelf, walking towards it, checking all of the different titles that it contained in excitement and began to read the titles of the book from there spines out loud, "The legends of King Scabberd, Sherlock Colts, King Lionheart and His Knight of the Round Table, High Level Magical Theory, The Odyssey, Defensive Spells Against The Dark Arts, The Count of Pony Christo, Les Marerables, A Hearts Warming Carol, Magic Duals and Combat, History of Buffalo Tribes, Alchemic Guide to Potions and Elixirs. It's like you have your own personal library." "That's one of the perks of being related to Celestia, but this is nothing, if you want a personal library, you should see my auntie's private study." Her eyes were sparkling in fascination, being transfix by all the books it was like being in a candy store. Blueblood looked at her going through all of the books on his shelf and reading their titles, then looked at her cutie mark. He realize that her cutie mark was somewhat similar to his own, though his cutie mark was a compass rose which was actually a royal star. Representing his high level magical abilities and his nobility. "Twilight, may I ask you a question, if its alright with you?' She stop what she was doing to looked at Blueblood. "Sure, ask me anything." Blueblood was hesitant for a second, he was afraid to ask but he brought up the courage to ask his question, "How did you acquire your cutie mark?" He was blushing, not wanting to seem rude, unmannered or ungentlemanly like due to the fact that he'd stared at somepony's cutie mark, especially a filly. "My cutie mark?" She said, taking a quick observed of her cutie mark, "Oh. I got my cutie mark thanks to my talented magic abilities. Celestia said that I have raw ability and talent with magic, and that my cutie mark clearly show it." Twilight said showing him her cutie mark clearly having a sense a pride for it. "My I ask how you got yours?" She ask looking at his cutie mark. "I obtained my cutie mark when me and my parents were traveling in a forest in Maretonia two years ago, we got lost and we couldn't find our way out, I wanted to help so cast a navigation spell which I was trying to perfect at the time, which summons a ball of light that helped us navigate through the forest. Once we got out of the forest, this cutie mark appeared, showing me that my talent lied in the magic arts, and also showing my noble and royal heritage. So I guess that means we both have the same talent, do we?" "Yay, but you got you cutie mark when you were only four, that's takes a special kind of talent." Twilight said in astonishment. "Oh its nothing" He said bashfully. "I just cast a spell and that was it. Dominate Kahn the Great got his cutie mark when he was just two. You on the other hoof hatched a dragon egg and levitated multiple ponies. THAT'S true magical talent!" "Wow, thanks." she said blushing. Then Blueblood for some reason blushed back, but he didn't know why. They both looked at each other, then realizing that their cheeks were both red and they bashfully turned their eyes to another direction. They then both looked back at each other in awkward silence. Twilight was still smiling her friendly smile, while Blueblood looked almost embarrassed. Both of them didn't know how to continue or what to say. It was like they never met anypony else and this was there first time they ever met somepony. It was not until Blueblood composed himself and spoke, ending the awkward silence. "So...do you... want to read a book together?" "I would loved to." She said with both of them looking at the book shelf and began to look. Twilight and Blueblood both looked at the selection of books, Twilight was somewhat intimidated by the vast selection of books to choose form, it was like picking out a toy from the toy store to take home. "So many books so many to choose from. Do you have this hard a time choosing?" She asked. "Sometimes I do." Blueblood answered with a chuckle. "You wants some help choosing?." he suggested. She nodded and they both looked together. Looking for half a minute until they both simultaneously made their decision. "How about this one!" They both said at the same time. Placing their hooves on the same book Tales of Cut Throat Island. Then Twilight and Blueblood both realize that that their hooves were slightly touching. Twilight respond with a quick "oh". The young unicorns began to blush immensely. Blueblood got strange feeling when he touched her hoof, this feeling was baffling to him. His heart was beating rapidly and grew a warm tickling sensation from within it. A feeling that he never had before until now. They were both quickly remove their hooves from the book. Blueblood then reach out that same hoof to get the book until Twilight stopped him and offered to do it. "Allow me," said Twilight, using her magic to levitate the book out of its spot. Blueblood look at the book being surrounded by the deep pink aura, and his eye growing wider, seeing her preforming the levitating spell with his own eyes, clearly impressed by her for someone of her age to be preform a levitating spell so flawlessly. He then turned his head back towards her and thanked her for the kind gesture. "Thank you, how kind of you," He said then turned his head to look at the book title, "Tales of Cut Throat Island?" "Yay, its one my favorite adventure book, my brother an I would always read it before bedtime!" "Hey, it my favorite as well, my auntie and I would sometimes read it together." Blueblood exclaimed as Twilight grew a smile. "Wow, its surprising that we both share similar interest... not to say it is bad, quit the opposite. It cool to see that we like to do the same things." She said to him looking at him with her friendly smile. "Yah your right, it is nice." he said returning a shy smile. She was right, it wasn't hard to see that they shared the same interest. Like him she enjoyed reading books and they even both like the same book titles as well, they were both ponies of intellect, surprisingly very smart for their age, and they were both talented in the magic arts. Even their cutie marks looked a bit similar when it came down to it. It was something that he could admire, he never seen these qualities in a filly before, mostly because they were too busy swooning over him. This was a awkward for him, but this bizarre feeling was somewhat warm and refreshing. He liked it, he like it very much. The young foals then assembled themselves on top of Blueblood's bed. They open the book, flipping through the pages to find a tale for them to read, until Blueblood stop at one tale titled The Wrath of Captain Black Mane. "The Wrath of Captain Black Mane." he said reading the at the page title out loud. "My favorite pirate tale of all time." Twilight said enthusiastically. Blueblood then looked at her in astonishment. "It is?" "Yay, its the most action packed, adventure filled, and the most romantic pirate tale of all time. That's why I like so much." She said tuning her head towards him. "The villain is dastardly, so cruel and vile as any antagonist should be, but he takes it to a entirely different level, and the protagonist Sea Worthy is so heroic charming, you just have to root for him, especially when he wins the love of the beautiful Princess Emerald Heart. The daughter of the King Gold Mane who gets captured by the evil Captain Black Mane ands his crew, holding her captive and threatening to kill her in order to stop the royal navy from pursuing him, but them the hero comes to save the princess and stop Captain Black Mane. Then in the end, both Sea Worthy and Princess Emerald Heart romantically sail off into the sunset to live happily ever after." She said, the last sentence being in a dreamy tone. "Well what a coincidence. its my favorite pirate tale too." Blueblood said to her. Twilight gasped in amazement. "It is?" "Yep. I always read it when I pick up this book, my Mother and Father, and now my cousin and aunt would sometimes read it with me. I remember one time where I was playing pirate with Cadance, we would reenact the scenes from the story." Twilight giggled at Blueblood's small story, and he blushed again and that same feeling he had when they touch came back. He gazed at Twilight, staring deeply at her violet colored eyes. In the light her deep violet eyes sparkled, glittering with immense, but most importantly and rather strangely, beauty. His mind then snapped back into reality when he though of that word to describe her eyes. It was so strange out of no were that he would use that word to describe her eyes. He only just met her and now he was think how her eyes looked so beautiful, but there was no doubt that her eyes were appealing, no, more than appealing, they were lovely, no wait, more than lovely they were captivating, more than captivating, they were beautiful. There it was again, that word, he just thought of that again and he didn't know why. Why couldn't he think of other word other than beautiful? He could say friendly but her eyes were more than friendly and it didn't help since she had that warm smile of hers. Her smile was so strangely captivating, her smile stretching to her rosy cheeks, and her eyes, those beautiful eyes, she just looked so radiant so. "No Blueblood stop that, you just met her, she's a friend." His mind yelled at him, snapping back to reality. He quickly composed himself so he wouldn't feel odd around Twilight, but he couldn't help but her a give a shy smile. "Would you like to begin?" Blueblood offered eyeing down at the book. "I would love to." Twilight looked down at the beginning page and began to read the words out loud. "The night sky was at its blackest, the fog was thick in the air, sea was still was ice and there was not a sound to heard anywhere. Then from the distance, a large galleon sailed out through the thick fog. The color of ship was a grim black, through its sails to it hulls. On the prow of the ship was a figure of the grim reaper, a alicorn in a hooded cloak holding a scythe and its head was a skull. This can only be the dreaded ship the Black Hearted Gambit. The legendary ship that spread terror throughout the seven seas. The stories and myths surrounding the ship only brought fear to those who heard them and the destruction it brought in its wake was inscrutable. This ship can only described as deaths vessel its self, and its captain was the grim reaper. The infamous Captain Black Mane, the legendary cur of the seven seas with his pirate crew, all of them savages and monsters to the bone that can make any brave stallion cower in fear pillaged and plundered countless of ships, leaving nothing but a ocean grave yard. The black hearted captain stand on the quarter deck of his ship, over looking the dark oceans. He breath in the salty air, letting it out in a sigh of satisfaction." Then her voice change to sound like a pirate in order match the character's quotes. "Fear, nothing but fear for miles and miles, it in the air, it is even in the ocean it self. For they know who sails these waters, and to fool who doesn't know and is brave enough to face me, let them dare face me for the ocean will be their final resting place." "Your reading was brilliant, and the pirate voice was a nice touch as well." Blueblood said in flattering words. "Thanks, my brother and I would sometimes read this book like we're actual pirates." "Do you reenact the scenes? That's what me and Cadance would do sometimes when we would read together." "No, but it sounds like fun. Its sounds like you and Cadance do your own plays." "In a way we do. Me and Cadance even sometimes even do a show for Auntie Celestia when she was sick." Blueblood said, remembering the time when he was 5, he and Cadance once did a small reenactment of "The Prince of Dragons" for Aunt Celestia when she came down with a cold and had to stay in bed. Blueblood was the knightly prince and Cadance was the dragon. It was all great fun and big laughs, and Celestia was appreciated of them to have them put on a their little show. "Princess Celstia can get sick!? But I thought that she was all powerful and she can never get sick." Twilight said perplex at the fact that somepony all powerful, wise and knowledgeable as Princess Celestia can get a messily cold. "She dose get sick but that doesn't mean she not all powerful princess." Blueblood assured her. "One time when I was sick, she told me that she got sick with a head cold at the age of thirteen." He add. Twilight was baffled at that small fact. "I didn't know that the princess can get sick herself." She said looking at Blueblood her ears sagging. Blueblood gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry anypony can get sick, even a my auntie. She said that she can be is just like eveypony else." Blueblood said in a comforting tone. "Oh, I remember this one time, where Auntie Celestia got a cold, me and Candace help her get better, it wasn't until, I got sick along with Auntie Celestia. Candace had to take care of the both of use unfortunately, but we both did our best not to pester her. Then after me and Auntie got better, Cadance got sick and me and Auntie Celestia had to take care of her." Twilight laughed at the story, Blueblood then suddenly became bewitch by her laughter. Staring at her with her hooves close to her mouth laughing at his story, it made him smile, thinking it was a very cute laugh, and just to hear it made his heart beat faster and feel warmer. The feeling was getting larger and larger, he didn't know why he was feeling this way. He had this feeling ever since they began to interact with each other. "Blueblood your blushing again. Is there something wrong? Twilight said looking at Blueblood realizing that his cheeks were pinkish red. He then realized that he was blushing once again and his face turned completely red in embarrassment. "Oh... its nothing, I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me." "Don't worry, its alright. It just that you seem to be blushing a lot." Blueblood began rubbing the back of his head, and his eyes turning in different directions thinking of an explanation. "Well..... you see...I....um." He babbled nervously trying to think of something to say. He looked back at Twilight waiting for his answer. He was able to compose himself a little and began to answer, "Well.. you see...its just that... I never really had anypony outside my own family to talk to before, and its just you are one the first ponies to ever have a conversation with and especially a filly, which in the past I had the misfortune to have them swoon over me, but now talking to you, its get me so... nervous, I'm sorry if I offended you." He said to her, but yet that didn't seem to explained fully the reasons why he was blushing. Twilight looked and nodded understandingly, giving him a reassuring smile and replied, " Its ok I understand, to tell you the truth I too never really talked to anypony but my own family before. I am... well was kind of nervous myself when I meet you." Blueblood's eyes then widen, baffled to what she said, she didn't look nervous for the entire time they interacted, she seemed so friendly and so open, he was so surprise to hear her say that she was nervous when she was introduce to him. Twilight turned her eyes to another direction as not to look at Blueblood in embarrassment, her ears sagging along with it. "When I was invited to come over for dinner at Princess Celestia's I was so excited, but then I was introduce to you and learn that you were her nephew I was kind of nervous. I mean your the nephew of Princess Celestia, and a prince. I thought you wouldn't talk to me, nor even make eye contact with me. With you being a prince talking to some old regular unicorn and all." Blueblood looked at Twilight with those same understanding eyes that she had on when he told her about his nervousness towards talking to her. Baffled too at the fact that Twilight would think such of thing when she was doing so well, being so kind and friendly towards him, and in return was so hospitable towards her though it was something he could comprehend. He also had some doubts about meeting her but his reasons were much different and were because of personal experience, and her reasons was because of his statue, but both of their fears faded away when they got to know each other. "Cadance said that I am very special and that I'm anything but an regular old unicorn, but that's what she thinks of me. With you on the other hand, I didn't know how you would perceive me, so I tried my best to not make a fool out of myself, and yet here we are getting along so well, we both enjoy reading and studying magic. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to judge you differently before." She finished her ears sagging. Blueblood then gave her a reassuring smile. "It's ok, I understand where you were at. To tell you the truth, when I first saw you I thought that you would be drooling all over me and flirting at me, just because I'm a prince, but being with you, talking and learning more facts about you, is starting to make me like you." He said bashfully, blushing again at the sight of her growing a smile, "And to me your not just some regular unicorn. Your very intelligent for somepony of your age, your enjoy classical literature and your great with magic. Cadance was right about you, your not a regular unicorn, your a very gifted unicorn." And with that said Twilight's smile grew a wide smile, her ears perked back up and her eyes began to sparkle at what he said. "Wow, you really think I'm gifted?" "Yes..." He said with confidence, then blushing fully realizing what he just said. Looking at Twilight who was to blushing only slightly and smiling at his complement. He told her that she was gifted, but it seems like he told her in a affectionate way, it was almost like he was saying it from the bottom of his heart. Twilight giggled and stared straight at Blueblood, and all he could do was smile sheepishly. "Thank you Blueblood, your so admirable." "Your welcome." he smiled towards her and blushed. Blueblood and Twilight stared at each other for seconds on end. Twilight looked at his slightly red abash face while Blueblood looked deeply into her violet eyes, his heart began to beat even faster, a feeling that was cause by him being smitten by her eyes, her young beauty, her intelligence and affectionate, warm and friendly personality. Was this a normal feeing when somepony was had when he or she earned gained the magic of friendship? Because it seems to be more a like if a emotion of love that he was feeling. "So... shall we continue reading?" Twilight ask Blueblood who snapped out of his gaze. Oh-um... yah... yes we may, my apologies." He said composing himself. "Would you like to read?" Twilight offered to the prince. "Why yes...thank you, I would love to- I mean..um. *Ahem*" Blueblood cleared his throat and performed a salute like he was a sailor. "Permission to continue reading captain." "Permission granted Mr. Blueblood." She said, peaking like a sea captain, playing along with Blueblood, the two new friends both laughed and then the continued to read their book. The princesses and Twilights family were all in the main living room. Twilights parents both sitting together on the grand coach while Princess Celestia, Princess Cadance and Shinning Armor were all sitting in separate chairs. The adults all holding or in this case levitating there glasses of wine while Shinning Armor and Cadance had sparkling cider. They were all in discussion about different topics from Shinning's and Cadance time in Canterlot High, to the future of Twilight's studies and where would she be with her growing skills and intellect. Though Cadence wasn't really at much as focus with the conservation. Her mind was off thinking about her cousin Blueblood and Twilight, and how the two were doing alone and if they were getting along.  "Cadance, are you o.k." Ask Shinning Armor.  Yay... I'm ok, I just thinking about Twily and Bluey, I'm worried about them."  "I'm sure Blueblood and Twilight are doing just fine. There probably reading together just as we speak." Celestia said with reassuring confidence.  Cadance knew that when Celestia was sure about something there would be nothing to worry about and that everything would be fine, but this was her little cousin and play-mate that were alone together. Blueblood is gentle colt, clever, and can be very sweet, but he was also a shy and unsociable pony, making it extremely hard for anypony other than herself and Celestia to interact with him. Twilight is a chippered, enthusiastic and ebullient unicorn that was bright in her own right with a senses of rationality, but like her cousin, she was also socially awkward and can never really talk to anypony of her own age group. Anything could happen between them and she wouldn't be there to see it. She didn't have the same confidence as her aunt nor did she study the magic of friendship, she knew some things about it but not enough to know if they would actually get along or if they will be friends. Cadance looked up at the ceiling wishing that she had the ability to see through solid matter so she could see what they were doing. "I'm going to go check up on them, just to see how they are." said a concern Cadance getting out of her seat. "I'm sorry aunt Celestia, but I'm just a little bit worried." She ask Celestia. "If it would make feel at ease then you may check." Replied a Calm Celestia. "Mind if I come along?" Ask an cool but eager Shining Armor getting out of chair.  "Ok," Cadance walked to the living room entrance followed by Shinning Armor who quickly downed his glass of cider before coming to her side. They then both exited together out of the living room, heading towards the main stairs. On their way to Blueblood's room, Cadance and Shining Armor walked quietly in the hall wall, passing vacies, portraits and doors not saying a word to each other. Cadance had a worried look on her face the while at the same time Shining Armor kept a calm at her but was hesitant in wanting to speak to her. It essentially until a couple minutes walking down the hallway Shining Armor broke the silence.  "So, your worried about your cousin and my little sister being alone together, huh?" He ask, trying not to sound as awkward as possible. "Well yay, I am kind of worried for the both of them." "Afraid that they might not get along?" "Well what I can tell you is that I have known Blueblood from first day he was born and I been living with him and watching over him for 2 years now, and from all the times I been with him, I learned that he prefers to be with close family and due to past bad experiences with ponies, especially with fillies, he hasn't really been a outgoing pony, never one to talk to ponies outside his family. And with Twilight, I have been foal-sitting her for a quite some now and yet I been learning so much about her, and from what I can tell she not really a sociable filly as well, and just like Blueblood she only wants to be with ponies that she's close to." "They both share the same social awkwardness." Shining Armor remarked. "Your correct in a way, but when I was foal-sitting her I made a connection towards her, and now Twilight and me are like sisters." "Well, you are the most the kind-hearted, sweet loving and caring pony of all ever in all of equestrian," he paused to admire her, "not to mention talented.... and beautiful..." Cadance then turned her head towards Shining Armor, surprised to what she just heard. "I-I-Its what she says I swear!" He said evasively almost stammering his words, his face entirely red from embarrassment. Cadance giggle at Shinning Armor's nervousness, which made him grew a sheepish smile. They then both walked the hall and continued with their conservation. "But comments aside. You believe that they can't be friends? By looks of it they seem to get along just nicely. I mean they both love to read, and they seem to be really smart for their age. They both seem to have a lot in common." "That's very true, but they are not that doesn't mean they can be compatible with each other. They both have very shy personalities." "But don't two negatives equal a positive?" What Shining Armor said made Cadance pause, reflecting on the math term he quoted. "I guess your right, maybe they could get along. I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking, I'm just worried about them, I don't want them to start off on the wrong end of the hoof, you know. It was Celestia was the one that set up the whole meeting between the two, and I know better than to doubt her wisdom and tactics when it comes to the magic of friendship. I guess its safe to say that she knows what she's doing for the both of them." "We'll she is the most powerful, and the most wise, what's there to doubt," Shinning Armor remarked. "What about you, aren't you worry a bit?" She asked. "We'll to tell you the truth I was a little bit worried at first. I thought he was going to put the moves on my little sister, but now that I you told me that he's anti-social and extremely shy, I really have no problem with them alone together." The princess chucked and Shining Armor was confused to why. "You thought that he would put the moves on Twilight?" "Well... Yay." He now had little red circle on his cheeks, blushing from embarrassment. She's a very pretty and attractive filly and as her older brother, her BBBFF, it is my job to protect her from colts like that." "Well Blueblood isn't one to put the moves on a filly I assure you that. Besides, he's only six," Cadance laughed. "But it sweet that your protective if your sister." She finished turning to him with a loving and proud smile. Shinning Armor sheepish smile then turned to a proud and confident smile. Hearing that compliment from his crush made him feel achieved a mile stone. "I'm sorry, but are we their yet." Shinning Armor said, "Not to compline or any, but thing feel like the longest hall way ever." "Its not that long." Cadance assured him, "Besides were almost there, we just about-" She stop mid way in her sentence, hearing faint noises that could be heard from Bluebloods room, she couldn't make what is was though. "Do you hear that..." she ask Shinning Armor. "Not really..." Cadance tried to attune her ears to what the noise but was very faint, the wall and doors of the castle were enough to prevent sounds from spreading all over the castle but not enough that you can hear it from the same hall, though very faintly, only one with a trained ear can probably hear though these doors and or walls. Once Cadance and Shining Armor got closer they can only make up what sounded to be yelling. Cadance hasten her walking with Shinning Armor following behind, the sound growing ever so louder as they came closer to the door. They both walked as fast as they could down the hall coming closer to Blueblood's room whiles trying to hear more of the noises. Cadance then flinch to what sounded like wood banging together, she became tense, it almost sounded like they were fighting in there. Were they fighting? No it couldn't be, and they seem to get along so well with each other. All of the doubt and worry that were gone suddenly came back to her shrouded her thought, growing ever so concern for both her foal-sitting playmate and her cousin. She hustled her self towards the door, trying not to think of the damage that she might see in their. She came in front of the door now hearing the muffled sound of wood clashing louder within the room, along with a different sound, she couldn't make it thought the thick wooden doors but it sounded like, playful laughter. Shinning Armor catch up to her, adjusting his own ears to hear the muffled screams of laughter and wood banging against each other. Her domineer now turned into confusion. Her mind race with thoughts. What were they doing in there, and what was that wood banging? Her curiosity consume her, she had to know what was going on was going happening in there. Using her horn she slowly open the door to reveal her cousin room completely intact and her cousin Prince Blueblood and Shinning Armor sister Twilight, levitating wooden play swords, and sword fighting with them. They were both ran around the room, playfully laughing swinging their swords, playfully fencing. They each both wore a different item of clothing, Blueblood wearing a dark blue colored bandana with a skull and cross bone insignia, and Twilight wearing a black pirates cap with the same skull and cross bone insignia. Blueblood and Twilight seem to be enjoying themselves, they both shared childishly large smile, laughing as they playfully threw striking swings at each other with their play swords, parrying and or blocking one another's strikes, stepping everywhere in place everywhere while sword fighting, almost like they were dancing. Cadance blinked in astonishment, she couldn't believe eyes, the two most shy foals she knew were play and having fun together. She would have let her mouth drop to the floor from seeing this but her mouth curved into a smile. She always found great joy in seeing foals playing and having fun, and seeing their bright smiling faces, and seeing her little cousin and foal mate playing together made all of those disquieted and uneasy discomfort vanish and relaxed. Blueblood and Twilight then realized that their older family members were at the door, they paused their sword fighting. "Hi Shining" Twilight said greeting her brother. "Hi Cadance" Blueblood said greeting his cousin. "Hi" Cadance said with hidden relief, "Looks like guys are having fun... sword fighting." Cadence entered the room along with Shining Armor, her eyes on both the white and violet foals. "Why were you both sword fighting, and what exactly you are you guys playing?" "We're playing pirates," answered an joyously enthusiastic Twilight. "I thought you two would be reading," Cadance continued, a bit perplexed to what she was seeing. "We were reading at first," said Blueblood, "but then we started to get really invested in the story." "And since we both know the story, and it's one of our favorite ones." Twilight added, looking at Blueblood who looked at her back. "We decided to reenact some of the scenes. As pirates!" Blueblood said enthusiastically brandishing his wooden sword. "Arrrgh!" Twilight closed off with a pirates cheer. Blueblood chuckled playfully at Twilight, she herself then chucked along with him. Cadence gazed at Blueblood, his sunny and up beat laugh and his ebullient smile, she never really seen her cousin so happy before, it was rare to see Blueblood truly happy. Ever since the death of his parents, he was almost miserable. Cadance and Celestia did their best to cheer him up make him happy when they took him in, they succeeded with little success though. He was also never this happy with a pony that wasn't one of his closest family, being with his family, the only family being Cadance and Celestia made him feel comfortable. With Twilight, that was a different story, she was a happy, sunny and upbeat filly, who was bright and clever for her own age, but she was shy and bashful, and is not very sociable since she is always reading a book. Who also, like Blueblood, like to be with family. Now to Cadance's surprise, it was only their first day meeting each other and Blueblood and Twilight were already getting along and playing pirate together. It was almost hard to believe. Celestia's little plan had worked, they were not only reading together but they were playing together as well. Cadance herself didn't study the magic of friendship nor she didn't have the vast knowledge and in depths lengths and detailed concepts like her aunt dose, so she wouldn't know how it works. Yet somehow, she saw the chemistry between the two socially awkward foals. It was actually rather adorable, the two of them playing pirate together, wearing their little pirate hats and sword fighting. It made her remember the times in where she would play with Blueblood, and how they would reenact the scenes from different books together. The young prince came up to his cousin, while Twilight walked right up to her older brother. Candance then walked Blueblood out to the other side of his room out of ear shot to the Twilight and Shining Armor. "So my little cousin," said the princess. "You and Twilight seem to be getting along very well," her cousin nodded happily with a cheery little "uh-huh". "How is Twilight, do you like her?" she ask Blueblood. "Yes I do, very much, she's brilliant!" answered the prince spiritedly. "She very intelligent, talented with the arcane arts, and she loves to read; classic novels, historical text, spell books, and advance literature." Blueblood then took a warm and delighted sigh, "and she's so nice, kind, sweet, smart, so truly gifted and so pretty." "Wow Bluey, you really seem to like to her," "I know, I do." "Well it sounds to me that you like her like her." Cadance said in a joking manner with one eye brow raised. Blueblood face turned to a deep shade of red, understanding what his cousin meant by like her like her. "I don't like her like that, I only just meet her." he darted her eyes to avoid his cousin gaze, "I like her as a friend," he said when he had the courage to look up at his cousin's smirking grin. "I don't see her as a romantic companion, nor am I'm looking for her be one. I just a want us to be friend," Blueblood gazed directly at Twilight, staring at her; from her shinny dark blue mane with deep pink and violet streaks, to her light purple coat that clash so perfectly with her mane, and her eyes, those big and vibrant violet color eyes, like looking into an endless sea of amethysts. What Blueblood said to his cousin was some how a lie, but he didn't know why he was lying about. His words told her that he wanted to be friends with Twilight, but his mind and mostly his heart told something else, that his he wanted her as a romantic companion. His heart began to beat faster, and before he realized it brought himself back to reality and turned back to Cadance. "Well Cadance I'm should be thanking you telling me about Twilight; she really is the pony that you describe her as." "See what did I tell ya," Cadance said, "there was nothing to be worry about. Hey, maybe she can be you special pony or your special princess." She said in a joking tone. "Cadance!" The prince raised his voice embarrassment. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding." She reassure her cousin with quick laughter. "Sorry to embarrasses you." "Its ok." Blueblood said now lowering his voice, "I'm just I don't want to ruin my first ever friendship, she could be the friend that auntie said I needed." "You are really committed to making your auntie happy are you." "Yes, but just for her happiness, for my happiness and for my parents as well. Auntie Celestia said that I need to stop shutting others out, and she's right. All of those bad experiences with those fillies that happen to me in the past had always discourage me from meeting new ponies and making a friend. In a way I actually feel extremely grateful for this meeting. Twilight Sparkle... is nothing like the fillies that I had encountered. She so different and so unique, so intelligent, so dignified, so gifted and so special in her own special way." Blueblood said, with a hint of feeling in his voice. Cadance giggled, "Well, sounds to me that my cousin has a crush on Twilight. Doesn't he?" She said, giggling with enjoyment, and poking him in is tender spots, making him giggle. Hehehehe... Cadance... Hahaha...stop it... Hehehehehehehehe, you know...hehehehe I'm ticklish.... Hahahahahaha...." Blueblood was snickering and laughing trying to contain his laughter to a perfect volume controlled level. "Ok little, but it's to me it sounds like you have a crush on little Twilight. I mean just the way you said how special and gifted she is makes it sound like you have a ting for her." Cadence said with a hint if humor and enjoyment in her voice. Blueblood open his mouth to reply to his cousin till Shinning Armor came in the conversation. "What's is this about crushing on my little sister I hear." Shining Armor said with an raise eye brow and an air of suspicion. "Oh its nothing, we're just have some good fun, cousin between cousin fun that's all." The princess reassured Shinning Armor. "Ok, I see," Shinning Armor narrowed his eyes on Blueblood, "but if I see that you tried to put the moves on my sister I will personal feed you to her dragon!" Shining Armor said in a mock threatening voice in attempted to spoke the small prince, putting emphasis on the word dragon. "You do realize that her dragon is only a baby. I doubt that Spike would eat anypony." Cadance said, giggling at what Shining Armor attempt to scar her cousin. "I'm sorry, I'm just playing with the little guy, I didn't mean to scare him." Shining Armor said in his defense, "Besides, I think he knows not to be flirty with my sister. Do you?" He ended eyeing directly at Blueblood with one of his eyes brows raised With all do and with the most deepest respect I an only looking to secure my friendship with Twilight Sparkle, and nothing more, I have no interest in having a romantic relationship with her." Blueblood spoke in his most regal voice, "Even though Twilight is extremely beau-," Blueblood almost said the word beautiful, he stop himself from saying it, even though he wanted to say it, "uh... attractive and bursting with personality," he ended, hoping that Shining Armor or Cadance catch his little slip of the tongue. He didn't want to sound like he was in love with her in older to be in good terms with her older brother. "Really...,"Shining Armor said in a sly tone, "Because I been talking with Twilight, and from what she told me, she likes you, very much." Shining Armor said, putting emphasis on the word like. Blueblood's face completely redden, his cheeks were red as an red deciduous apple. Shining Armor chuckled, Cadance smiled with her mouth closed and shook her head. "Oh stop it, your embarrassing him, look, your making him blush." "I'm sorry I'm just joking with him." Shining Armor said apologetically, "Besides, I think him and Twilight will be great friends. Won't you your highness?" He turned back to Blueblood, his eyes squinted towards his direction. "Me and Twilight will be great friends. We have a lot in common and share the same interest." Blueblood said looking straight at Shining Armor. "I see," Shinning Armor nodded, "But I ask you, will you be her best friend?" He ask in a quite serious tone which had a hint of mock sternness. Blueblood then stood himself tall dedicated showing his bravery "I promise that I will be her best friend, I promise to help her when ever she's in danger or in trouble, and to be by her side." Blueblood said with confidence in his voice, "I promise that I will be the best friend that she will ever have." "And you promise not to hurt her in any way possible?" Shinning Armor continued. "I promise to never to hurt her in any way, NEVER, both emotionally and physically, I promise to keep her forever safe and happy, uninjured and unharmed," Blueblood with truth and commitment in his voice, as well as growing confidence. Shining Armor nodded in admiration, he saw commitment in the young princes. "And do you promise to help her and to be there for her when ever and where ever she needs it?" "I promise to be there by her side forever, I promise to be there for her, always, where ever and whenever she is needs it. I swear it on my own title, my own life and my own soul!" Blueblood said in a almost fit of passion in his voice, almost like he was in love with her. Both Cadance and Shining Armor both widen their eyes, seeing the commitment and devotion in the prince. Blueblood seem to be extremely dedicated to his newly found friendship with Twilight Sparkle. Shining Armor looked at Cadance with regards to Blueblood, and nodded in approval. She though giggle slightly at the somewhat silliness of Shinning Armor big brother over protection. Shining Armor then began to burst out laughing, Blueblood was puzzled, by the white stallion burst out laughing, he didn't know what was so comical. "Hahahaahahaha...wooo... I like this kid." Shining Armor said laughing putting his arm around Blueblood and taking him in closer. "You are without a doubt the perfect best friend for my little sister your highness." "Why thank you sir." The prince said politely. "Sir?" Shining a armor was taken back by the term, then smiled, "Looks like Twilight was right you are a gentle stallion as well as charming." Blueblood nodded and smiled bashfully, his courageous bravado was disappearing, but he was still appreciative towards the comments that the stallion said, which were based on Twilights comments. Cadance giggled at the cute display of Shinning Armor hugging her little cousin like he was his own little brother. "Hey, everybody, look at me!" the two teenagers and the young prince then turned to the direction of the chipper violet foal. To their shock they saw Twilight jumping on the bed hyperactively with a widen smile across her face. Twilight seem to be enjoying herself, her body going up and down like she was bouncing when she was extremely happy of excited. "Watch me, I'm going to swing on that rope, like a real pirate." Twilight said ebulliently. She ready herself for the jump, positioning herself near the end the bed. Cadance and Shining quickly grew worried looks on their faces, alarmed by what Twilight said she was going to do. "Twilight, I don't think that is a good idea." Cadance told the violet foal. "I don't want you to get hurt." Cadance tried to convince Twilight not to jump, but it was difficult to even try to talk her down, for she seem to have to much energy and seem too hyperactive to even listen. "Watch me," Twilight's horn glowed a brilliant raspberry color, the curtain's rope then started to swing. "I think I can do it, I'll just jump to that rope, swing off and land a perfect landing." Twilight seem to be committed on doing this, reluctant to even listen to Cadance and Shining Armor opposition to the idea. "Who do you think you are, a Wonderbolt?" Shining Armor exclaimed, but Twilight Sparkle didn't respond to her brothers out burst. "TWILIGHT SPARKLE, GET DOWN FROM THERE!" Shining Armor shouted at his little sister, but it was to late. Twilight jumped off from the bed, high into the air with a loud "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee". She cached the swinging rope mid air, like a acrobat, her hooves griped on still griped on the rope, She let out a cheer as she swung. "YAHOOOO!" The small violet filly swung on the curtain rope like an little purple monkey across the room. Then as she swung towards the end of the room, roughly about 7 meters across, in that moment she let go of her grip, she started fall towards the position where Blueblood, Cadance, and Shinning Armor were watching. "Someone catch her!" Shining Armor quickly yelled, Cadance and Shining Armor both ran in opposite direction in agitation. Running around left from right in hysteria trying to catch the falling Twilight. Obviously not thinking straight forgetting that they can use their magic to catch her mid air. Blueblood on the other hand was just standing there, frozen in all of the commotion, watching the young adults stopping hastily and then running to a different directions, moving from spot to spot to where Twilight might possibly land. He looked quickly back up at the falling Twilight who was falling down straight forward to his direction. He only had seconds to react, he unfroze himself, he hastily took about four steps forward in attempt to see if he could catch Twilight. Blueblood kept his eyes on Twilight, the violet filly plummeting exactly towards him. He didn't know what he was thinking, he could have use his magic to catch her, but for some reason he stood there frozen in place, his eyes still on his new falling friend, any possibility of catching successfully seemed fictional, she was falling down towards him to quickly, he would have not have any time to react, no time to catch her in his arms. Blueblood can only see the violet color filly coming closer and closer, until Twilight finally came to impact on Blueblood. Twilight came colliding on top of Blueblood, crashing down on him. They both hit the floor in a way, tumble back, almost rolling towards the end of the room. They both stopped tumbling, with Twilight Sparkle on top of Blueblood, while he was pinned down b Twilight, they both looked like they just a had a short scuffle, but that certainly wasn't the case. Both Blueblood and Twilight laid on top of each other, their eyes both closed almost like they were knocked out and went unconscious. Then their eyes quickly open, and both of them raised their heads slowly. Blueblood face was extremely close to Twilight's face, there snouts touching each others, there lips were literally inches from one another that they could practically kiss. Blueblood stared into Twilight's eyes, and Twilight stared into his. What Blueblood stared deep into Twilight's deep moderate purple eyes, they sparkled like shining gems, like amethyst. So beautiful, so perfectly clear, her eyes were radiate as the clearest night sky. They were so beautiful, Blueblood could stare at her for hour and hours on end. Staring at her eyes was like seeing the divine grace of heaven. He could hear her breathing, exhaling out her breath of air, he can smell her breath, it was the sent of fresh raspberries and sweet vanilla. Twilight lifted up her head, causing Blueblood to see her entire face. She was beautiful, purely beautiful, he could almost see the radiant glow coming from her, from her big and vibrant violet eyes, her dark and shiny blue hair, to her soft light purple rosy cheeks. Blueblood's heart was beating faster and faster, almost like it was going to burst out of pure warmth and ecstasy, of powerful emotions of love and passionate romantic bliss. This feeling that he felt for the entire time they were together was over whelming him, rapturing from his heart to the inside of his entire body and soul. The feeling that he was denying for so long during this entire night they were together, this pure, flowerily, blissful, and divine feeling. He couldn't deny it any longer, this feeling was consuming him entirely, eating him alive form the inside, he couldn't take it any more. He Was In Love. Blueblood and Twilight, laid their on the floor, the two young foals stood on top of each other, staring deep into each other for what seem to be eternity. Blueblood was blushing immensely, but he didn't notice nor he didn't care, he was looking at his first ever true love, his first ever crush. For Blueblood it was like all of time stood still for this very moment, everything else that was happening around his own room didn't matter, he was happy wear he is, under the newly found love of his life. Twilight grew a smile of appreciation, Blueblood returned her warm gesture with a bashful, goofy looking, loves stricken smile. "Wow Blueblood, you broke my fall... thank you" Twilight thanked her princely friend in appreciation, with a voice that turned Blueblood to mush. He didn't realize that her voice was so gentle, so graceful and so warm, Blueblood wanted her to say something else, to hear her speak with her young yet mature and graceful voice. He was so immerse by her stunning beauty that he completely forgot to respond. "I-I-It's my pleasure Twilight," He spoke to her in a bashful manner, still blushing immensely. Twilight lifted her self up from Blueblood, he himself got up, brushing off any lint he may have contracted. Twilight mimics his movement, brushing herself casually, like nothing ever happen. Cadance and Shining Armor came to them like worried and panicking parents who saw their children got hurt. "By Aunt Celestia's rising sun!" Cadance said tremulously, "Are you two hurt!" Shining Armor turned his head left to right vigorously at where the two young ponies were standing, "Are you two hurt, any bruises, bumps, or marks!" He panicked switching from one of them every five seconds. "No, were fine, see," Twilight answered calmly revealing her arms to show her older brother and then her small figure. "No bruises, no bumps and no marks." Twilight said in cutesy manner. Blueblood did the same, showing himself to his concern cousin, to show her that there was no harm done to him or to Twilight. Cadance and Shining Armor then took deep and elaborate sighs of relief. Cadance turned to Twilight, her face now serious, "Twilight don't you ever do that stunt like that again, you couldn't have gotten your self and or Blueblood seriously hurt." She said in a deeply stern voice, wagging her hoof at Twilight who looked down at the floor in shame. "I'm sorry Cadance," The violet unicorn said in apologetically in the most guilty and innocent voice, " I got carried away, I didn't mean to scare you or hurt anyone." "Well lucky for you nopony got hurt," Cadance remarked. "Besides, I don't think my sister is ready to become an acrobat." Shining Armor said trying lighting up the mood. He placed his arm around his frisky little sister, and she returned the gesture of affection, nuzzling her head on her brother's broad chest. "Plus, I'm not ready to see my sister do death-defying stunts, nor do I think especially mom and dad are ready for that either." "I was being a pirate," Twilight chirped, "Aren't they the same," Shining Armor said in mock tone, giver her a playful noogie. "Hehehe... No their not." Twilight giggled as she let go of her brother playfully punching his forearm. Cadance and Blueblood watch the two siblings play with each other. Blueblood gazed at Twilight, seeing her laugh made him feel so warm and fuzzy inside, he smiled a goofy love stricken smile, his heart started to beat faster. Cadance took a quick glance at her cousin by her side and smiled, she wrap her arms around his shoulder. Blueblood realize that his cousin placed her arms around him, he then gave her a hug, nuzzling her side. Cadance returned his warm embrace, both of them hugging like they were brother and sister. Well, hope I'm not interrupting an intimate monument here," said a gentle and pleasant spoken voice, recognizable to everypony in the room. "Princess Celestia!" Twilight Sparkle yelled in delight. "Auntie!" Blueblood cheered. All four ponies in the room recognize the presence of Celestia peering from the door way. She was walked in the room with Twilight Velvet and Night Light following behind. "Sorry to drop in unannounced, I came hear to see what all of you were doing." Celestia said, looking at the two young unicorns, bouncing in glee in seeing the white alicorn princess. "I assume everypony here is getting along well?" Celestia inquired. "Yes Celestia" chirp Twilight excitingly. "Everypony hear is appropriating harmoniously." Blueblood subtly remarked. Celestia giggled, she inched herself towards her nephew and niece to be at their side. Twilight and Shining Armor's parents came up to them, seeing their daughter's bright young face, showed them that she must have had a wonderful time here, playing with Blueblood. "Hi Mom! Hi Dad," Twilight greeted her parents, "what are you guys doing hear?" "Well, coming to see how you and your brother were doing." Night Light answered his daughter. "How we're things hear with the prince" Twilight Velvet ask her daughter. "Everything was great, absolutely great." Twilight said in excitement, "We read the Tales of Cut Throat Isle, we played pirates together, and Blueblood even saved me, he broke my fall." "Well... it sound like you two had a great time together." Celestia was a bit perplexed by what her student said but she started to chuckle to it. Twilight Velvet and Night Light eyes widen looking shocked. They then glanced at Shining Armor who had a innocent look on his face, "uhh... um... its hard to explain." Shinning Armor said in adolescent innocent. "Well as long as your safe, it's all good," Twilight Velvet said as she and her husband looked back at their daughter with smiles of satisfaction. Celestia turned her attention at her nephew who was gazing at the violet filly with a transfixed look of affection. She grinned, she could tell that her nephew was happy. She never seen him so happy before, it really warmed her heart to see him finally genuinely happy and to finally talk and interact with a pony. Celestia's plan had work to her exact specification, Blueblood and Twilight had finally found a friend, eachother. She wasn't the one who prided herself in her work but this was something to be satisfied with. Not only that she introduced her student and her nephew to the meaning of friendship through this meeting, she finally found a friend for both of them, especially Blueblood, who she said had needed a friend and to overcome is social ineptness, social deficiency, social anxiety and timid shyness. She kneeled her head down to his level, and spoke softly. "So my dear nephew how did everything go with Twilight this evening." Blueblood grinned at his aunt, "Everything was absolutely perfect." he said happily in pure satisfaction. Celesita smiled at her nephews answered. She was truly delighted to see him happy and interacting with a pony of his age, who was a filly. If only his parents were alive to see him now. "It's time to go" Night Velvet added. "Awwww," both the white and violet unicorn moan in disappointment "Do we have to go, can't we stay a little longer?" Twilight pleaded with her parents. "I'm sorry kiddo, but it's late and almost past your bed time." Night Light continued. "Besides, *yawn*... I'm getting tired myself." He said in exhaustion. Yawned again, covering his widen mouth with his right hoof. Blueblood frowned in disappointment, in any case, he would have wanted her to stay a little more longer. He wanted to be with her more, if she could just stay a little longer. He gazed at the violet unicorn with loving eyes, he was in love with her, the violet unicorn that became his first ever friend, and the first ever filly he fell in love with. Even if she didn't know, he didn't want this night to end. "We'll see you out" Celestia said. "Thank you your highness, very generous of you." Night Light bowed his head towards Celestia. "Ok kids, it's time to go" Twilight Velvet announced. Her kids nodded and followed her and her husband out the room. The two princesses and the young prince walked towards the door following behind. All of them walking together, heading out of the room to the main hall with the main goal for Twilight family being to go home, and the Royals family goal being to send the family off with a farewell and to call it a night. The time was exactly 11:15, the night was at an end, and everypony was in the main hall, saying their goodbyes and good nights. Twilights family was just about ready to go, Twilight and Shining Armor seem to be the least tired while their father seem about exhausted and ready to retire for the night. Twilight Velvet not as tired as her husband but still had the desire to go to bed all the same.  The royals were about to send their off, but with out wishing them a good night.  "Thank you once again for this fine evening your highness," Night Light said bowing his head towards the princess.  "We really appreciate it, this night was real treat," Twilight Velvet said as she bowed her head towards the princess as well,  "and I think Twilight enjoyed it the most out of all of us," she add cocking her head towards her daughter.  Twilight Sparkle nodded back with a satisfied grin. She looked back at the princess and bowed her head, "thank you Princess Celestia, I had a great time," she said happily.  "Your welcome Twilight, I'm glad to see that you enjoyed yourself." Celestia said smiling at her student who smiled back.  She turned her head towards her nephew Blueblood,  he  had a looked of sadness on his face. He was sad to see the purple unicorn go, after all the time they shared together. He like her, and not just like her, he like her like her, but not just that, He Loved Her, and he wasn't ashamed of it, she wasn't just the one friend that he was looking for, but she was his first ever one true love. Twilight Sparkle looked at Blueblood, he slowly looked up back at Twilight, directly meeting her violet eyes with his artic blue eyes. She beamed him a friendly smile, he returned the friendly smile with a bashful grin. They stared at each other silently for moments at a time, not saying anything to eachother. It was Twilight who broke the silent when she spoke with a friendly voice. "I really enjoyed our time together Blueblood," Twilight said in a joyous voice. "You have?" Blueblood said in astonishment. "Yay," Twilight nodded " I had a great time, I never had this much with anyone other than my big brother," she said bashfully blushed slightly and looking away, her eyes down at the floor and moving her forearm in small circles. Blueblood smiled grew wider, he it really made his night when she said that to him. "Maybe next time we meet together, if your up to it?" She said with her eyes now looking up at him. Blueblood nodded happily, "Why yes, I really loved to, maybe someday where we have time." He said with great contentment. Twilight giggled, "Thank you," she ended, reaching her hoof out, Blueblood then realize it what it meant, raising his hoof as well, they locked their hooves together and proudly shook. They both gazed at each other while they shook, smiles on their faces, Their newly found friendship fully recognized by themselves and everyone else in the room. "Awww, so sweet," Cadance remarked to her self, looking at the two young unicorns. It made her happy to see her cousin and favorite foal playmate now friends. Celetia smiled at their display of friendship, her plan had worked, she knew it would, not doubting them for an instant, her star student and her nephew had became friends. Blueblood and Twilight had finally gotten rid of their socially "Well its time for us go." Twilight Velvet said, Thank you again for this evening princess Celestia." "It was my pleasure," Celestia said humbly. "Thank you again Princess Celestia," "Any time my faithful student," the princess said to Twilight Sparkle, smiling with proud admiration. Twilight then turned to her foal sitter, "bye Cadance, I'll see you," "Cadance waved at the violet unicorn filly, "Bye Twilight, I'll be seeing you soon." She said to her, then looking right at Shinning Armor, "Bye Shining Armor, I'll be seeing you too" "Anytime Cadance, thanks you for you and your aunt and cousins hospitality" Shinning Armor said as coolly and calmly as he can, bowing his head to her. When he went back up his white cheeks turning red. Cadance realized that his cheeks were red, Cadance blushed as well, her eyes turning away from his gazed. Shining Armor turned his head away bashfully as well, his eyes turning slightly to see her shy gaze. Night Light open the door, and he and his family stepped outside, Twilight then turned to Blueblood, "Bye Blueblood," "Bye Twilight," he said returning the gesture," good night." As the two young foals waved their last good buys, the door closed shut. Blueblood then stopped waving, he looked at the door with a dreamy love stricken gaze, he then partook in a big long dreamy, loving and romantic sigh. "Well that night went better than I inspected," Cadance said to her aunt. "Well I for one thought the night went as well as it should. Wouldn't you think so Blueblood," she said at her love stricken nephew. "Better than ever," Blueblood said dreamily, "I think Twilight enjoyed herself quite well. *sigh* Could Twilight ever be more adorable? I swear she get more and more cuter every time I see her." Cadance said. "She sure is," Blueblood remarked said in a dreamy tone, still looking at the door. "Well that's it for the night. I suggest that we should be heading to bed," Celestia said looking at her nephew and niece. "Your right, it was a long night today, I'm just about ready retire for the night." Cadance said, she yawned quietly, come on Bluey time for bed," she said to her cousin whiles walking to the stairs. "She sure is" Blueblood repeated, still in a dreamy tone and still staring at the door with his love stricken gaze. The love of his life had left, to go back home, but he knew that he will see her again someday. Twilight Sparkle, his first ever crush, the first ever filly he thought was beautiful, the first ever filly he fell in love with. If there was anything else that were to make this night even more magical, it wouldn't even compare to meeting Twilight. He continued to stare at the door in romantic longing, before his cousin called his name. "Blueblood! Come on! Time for bed!" Blueblood snapped back into reality, shaking his head and composing himself, realizing that everyone was already up stairs. "Ok!" He shouted back at his cousin. Blueblood headed up the stairs to his room, to prepare himself for bed.
