> Twilight Wants a Chocolate Bar. > by Muffinz 4 Life > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Ch 1. Rarity and Applejack > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The air was sunny. Birds chirped. Everypony was out enjoying the sun. Princess Twilight Sparkle was no exception. The purple alicorn trotted down the dirt road of Ponyville. Having a spring in each step she took. It was just the kind of day where you knew something good was going to happen. Twilight soon reached her destination. On a small little building, a sign read: Ponyville Grocery She gleefully walked inside. Twilight then whiffed the air inside the store, waiting for the soothing aroma that had always made her mood lighten up. However, something was missing in the scent. She shrugged it off, returning to searching for the entire reason she came to the shop in the first place. Twilight walked through the aisles. Cereal, juice, cheese, and- AH-HA! She had gotten to it. The Candy aisle. Twilight looked around the sugary hall. There were jelly beans, lemon drops, and all sorts of things you could imagine. Despite their mouth watering taste and smell, Twilight ignored the sweets and continued on her trot through the store. Finally, she read a sign hanging from the ceiling. Chocolate She sighed with relief and pure happiness. This was the place she went every week to restock on her chocolate bars. She really didn't have much of a sweet tooth, but when it came to chocolate, Twilight would roll over like a dog even for just a nibble. She looked down to where the chocolate was placed, but to her surprise, the shelves were empty. Twilight blinked. Thinking it was her imagination, or a trick of the light. Hoping, begging, praying. There was nothing there. There was no chocolate. Twilight sprinted up to the check out aisle. Finding a bored and tired looking mare standing behind a cashier counter. Dealing with a frantic alicorn princess was not number one on her "things I would rather be doing" list. Twilight couldn't care less though. "D-do you h-have any more ch-chocolate bars in stock?" She struggled to catch her breath, and with panic added to that it kinda made her sound like an idiot. The mare rolled her eyes. "If there aren't any on the shelf then were out." Later,at the library Twilight paced around the upstairs of Golden Oaks Library. Her mane was ruffled and her right eye had the occasional twitch. Her hooves made a sharp and loud clop that echoed all throughout the library. She was a wreck. Spike soon heard this and came upstairs to investigate what all the racket was about. To find Twilight pacing around her room looking all on the fritz like this really wasn't much of a surprise. She was always worried about something. Spike sighed. "Alright Twilight, what is it this time?" Twilight kept pacing. "Twilight?'' The purple mare continued to pace around her room. "TWILIGHT!!!" Twilight stopped and turned her head to look at the dragon. "Yes Spike?" "Twilight? Whats wrong?" Twilight's eye twitched. "Nothing Spike!" Then she went back to pacing. Spike sighed for a second time. It was probably some late assignment that will turn out to be nothing. He went back downstairs to finish his chores. It was then when Twilight sparked an idea. "I'VE GOT IT!!!" She screamed while running out the library and leaving a trail of dust behind her. Twilight arrived at the grocery once more, where she saw the same bored looking mare as cashier, she was mumbling something about her next break. Twilight went up to her again. "You! You can help me!" Twilight put her face right up against hers. "Who was the last pony to buy those chocolate bars?!?" "Uhhh..." "Tell me now!" "A-a white mare! With purple mane! H-her name w-was Ruby or something!" Twilight ran so fast to carousel boutique she was just a purple blur. Later Rarity squinted her eyes as she added the last layer of fabric to her dress. It was her masterpiece. "Exquisite!" She announced while stepping back to admire her work. It truly was something beautiful. From the golden laces at the bottom to the white headdress that sat upon the top of the mannequin. Rarity yawned. She had worked all day on this dress, and she believed she deserved a rest. The white unicorn's horn glowed a light blue as she levitated her red sofa to where she was standing. Right when she was about to drift into a nap, a large slam could be heard. She trotted over to where the noise was in hearing distance, and to her shock, she found Twilight standing in the middle of the room. The alicorn looked about ready to kill. She was so heavily breathing that her breath could be visible coming out of her nose like steam out of a train. Her eyes were so mad that they looked a little red to Rarity. Behind Twilight, a section of a wall was broken and missing, indicating Twilight had just smashed through it. "Twilight!" Rarity fussed over her friend. "Whatever has gotten you so worked up? Was it me? Oh, I dearly hope It wasn't me who did something to get you so angry! Was it-" Twilight ignored Rarity. She then searched through many drawers and bags throughout Carousal Boutique, finding each one empty of what she most desired at the moment. "Twilight, with most due respect-" "WHERE ARE THEY??!!" Twilight lost all scenes and frantically shoved Rarity against a wall. "WHERE ARE THE CHOCOLATE BARS?!" "I-I gave them t-to A-applejack...please don't hurt me..." Squeaked a terrified Rarity. Twilight let Rarity fall to the ground, then hurried out the broken part of the wall to Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack held a small baby spoon in between her teeth. She worriedly tried to get the food on the spoon inside either one of the screaming twins in the high chair in front of her. It was no use. These twins would not eat. The cakes wouldn't be happy to hear that their babysitter failed to even feed the twins lunch. Applejack sighed. "If only Pinkie were here." She mumbled. Then, out of the blue, Twilight surged through the barn door, knocking the spoon out of Applejack's mouth and making the farm pony fall to the ground. The cake twins found this very funny. "Well, that's one way to come inside." Applejack chuckled as she straightened out her hat. "How can I help ya Twi?" "WHERE IS THE CHOCOLATE BAR?" "The what?" Said a very confused Applejack. "THE ONE RARITY GAVE YOU!!!" Applejack wondered how Twilight knew about the chocolate bar, however, the orange earth pony was mighty frightened by the yelling alicorn in front of her, and just wanted to get Twilight out of freak-out mode. "I'm mighty sorry Twi, but I ate it." Twilight looked about ready to burst at that comment. "But," Started Applejack. "They have a store in the Crystal Empire selling that brand, if you still want one." The desperate mare's eyes twitched. "I need a ride to the train station. Stat!" > Ch 2. The Crystal Empire > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight nervously tapped her hooves together. She continually glanced at the train window, only to look back at her hooves. Tap tap tap"Are we almost there yet?" She asked a nearby waitress. The waitress sighed. "For the last time! We left the train station five minutes ago!" She handed Twilight a glass of water. "Here." She said more calmly. "Drink something. You seem a little anxious, everything okay?" "Yup!" Twilight lied. "Everything's fine!" As soon as the waitress left, Twilight went back to her hoof tapping, much to the annoyance of the other passengers. "What am I going to do?" She mumbled to herself. Twilight didn't know how to function without her chocolate. Applejack had better been right about the shop at the crystal empire, or she would wish she had never been born. A few hours later... "All aboard for the Crystal Empire!" A loud announcement woke Twilight from her slumber. She was dreaming about chocolate. She groggily got up from her seat and slowly walked out from the train car. The outside of the train showed a breath taking view of the crystal castle in the distance, but Twilight would have none of it. The only thing she needed to do was to find her brother and Cadence and ask them where the chocolate store was, then get the heck out of there. She finally made it to the part of the castle where her brother and sister-in-law lived. Twilight banged on the crystal doors loud enough to make Rainbow Dash awake from one of her naps. She was opened to Cadence at the doorway. "Oh! Hello Twilight! I didn't expect you to be coming! Please let me get you some tea and-" "Where are the chocolates?!?" "W-what?'' "THE CHOCOLATE STORE!!!" Cadence walked back a few steps away from the insane purple mare that was currently screaming at her. "D-down main street...third building on your l-left." Twilight galloped away before Cadence could question anymore. --- Twilight followed Cadence's directions and found the chocolate store...but not the way she thought it would be. The building was black and large chunks of wall were missing, it's products inside were just burnt up ash. The janitor sweeping outside saw Twilight looking as if she had seen a ghost. "Yep..burned down just last week." Twilight gasped. "H-how long will it take to repair?" She asked frantically. The janitor shrugged. "Years probably." He said as he swept the ashes in front of the former chocolate store. Twilight grid her teeth together in frustration. She had just traveled to the other side of Equestria for nothing? This was outrageous! What was she suppose to do now? The purple princess dragged her hooves back to the train station. She couldn't function properly without her chocolate bars! How was she going to work at the library without her special chocolate? She sighed. It was going to be a long trip home... > Ch 3. The Ride Back Home > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight's mane and tail were frazzled and knotted due to her running all over tarnation. Her eyes were constantly twitching and her hooves fidgeted 24/7. The train ride back to Ponyville was long and annoying. Several other passengers asked to be seated somewhere else because Twilight Sparkle was freaking them out. When she finally did make it back to the Ponyville train station, all of her friends were awaiting her arrival, wanting to see if their friend and princess was back to normal. However, seeing Twilight looking even worse than before was quite a shock. Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash had heard about Twilight's...state, and were prepared for it...but nothing could prepare them for what was about to come. Twilight was barely recognizable. She was totally a mess. Twilight zipped past her friends without a simple "hello" or even a nod! She was going to the library. --- "Spike? Spike! SPIKE!!!!" "Huh? What?" Twilight's yelling awoke the baby dragon from his slumber. "Please start a letter to Princess Celestia." "Okey Dokey!" He said, glad to hear Twilight acting like her normal self. "Dear Princess Celestia..." She started calmly. "I would like to make an order of business as one of the princess's of Equestria. The store locating here named "Ponyville Grocery" shall be sued!" Spike stopped writing. "What? Twilight?" He said with confusion and disappointment in his voice. Turned out Twilight was still insane. "You can't just sue a random store like that. You actually haft to have a legit reason!" Twilight chuckled. "Spike! I do have a reason." Spike looked skeptical. "Lets hear it then." "All stores must be at full stock at all times. If any sort of business fails to do so, they shall face the consequences!" Spike face palmed himself. "Let me correct myself. A good reason! That's not a real law and you know it!" "Well now it is!" Announced Twilight. "Man I love being a princess." She muttered. Spike sighed. "Twilight, I'm not sending this." Twilight turned around. "What?" "I'm not sending this." Spike repeated. Suddenly, two royal guards appeared at the doorway of the library. They then proceeded to lock Spike up in hoofcuffs. "Bye Spike!" Twilight said in a cheerful/creepy way. Twilight sent the letter herself, and waited happily for a response. She was given one, but not in the way she had expected. Who should it be but Princess Celestia herself to appear in Twilight's library. The sun goddess was munching on a slice of cake and there was something she was levitating with her golden magic. What was it... No...it couldn't be... A CHOCOLATE BAR?!? Celestia handed the small piece of heaven to her, then teleported away. --- Whoa. > Epilogue: Happily ever after. (short) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight trotted upstairs while happily munching on a chocolate bar. As she reached her bed...something caught her by surprise. On her bed there was...no, NO FREAKING WAY!!! A pile of chocolate bars awaited her on the top of her bed. There was a note left next to the huge pile of chocolate saying: Eat up Twilight. Singed, Princess Celestia OOOHMMYGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! --- So readers...that's how our story ends. Spike was sent to prison for not pleasing your highness. Ponyville grocery was eventually sued. And Twilight Sparkle, was never the same again. She made a holiday called: Chocolate Day. Which was every day. The way you celebrated was you gave Princess Twilight Sparkle chocolate bars. If you didn't, you were sent to execution. So how am I suppose to end this? Oh, here's a good one: And everypony lived happily ever after. (and by everypony I mean Twilight Sparkle.)
