Wonderbolt opportunity

Spitfire challenges RD to a fight to prove if RD is good enough to join the Wonderbolts.

Rainbow Dash went to CloudsDale to try to join the Wonderbolts again. And Spitfire made a deal with Rainbow Dash. If Rainbow Dash beats Spitfire in a fight Rainbow Dash gets to join the Wonderbolts. Most ponies didn't even know they had a gladiator arena in Ponyville.

The Deal

Rainbow Dash always wanted to join the Wonderbolts when she was just a filly.So she decided to go up to Cloudsdale with FlutterShy so she could have company while flying up there. She told FlutterShy all about the deal that Spitfire made with her 10 years ago when she was 15.

"Wow, so Spitfire has been waiting this whole time to see if you can defeat her in a gladiator fight to be able to join the Wonderbolts?" Asked Fluttershy.

"Yes, and we are having the fight today at noon," said Rainbow Dash.

"That is awesome. I am so happy for you Rainbow Dash," said Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash and FlutterShy went into a diner and ate together. The diner's theme was gladiator so it was Rainbow Dash's opportunity to learn what the best way is to defeat an opponent in a gladiator fight.

"To not get killed out there you would want to parry slashes with you own javelins or sword. Or you could simply dodge it by letting it hit your shield," said a mysterious colt far away. Rainbow Dash walked up to him

"Hi I am Rainbow Dash. May I ask who you are?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"we already met dear, don't you remember me?" asked the colt.

"NO! That is why I asked your name dumb ass." said Rainbow Dash

"Then let see if you know my original form Rainbow Dash," said the colt. The colt than transformed into Queen Chrylisas. "Now do you remember me dear? said Queen Chrylisas.

"Now I remember you. Too bad the other mane six are not here with me, because if they were we would kill you with the elements of harmony, said Rainbow Dash.

"Why not just fight me in a gladiator arena like you would soon to have to do with Spitfire," suggested Queen Chrylisas.

"How did you know about that Queen Chrylisas?"

"Oh I know a lot of things other ponies are clueless about, for example I know how fillies are made and I believe you and FlutterShy would make great fillies," said Queen Chrylisas snickering away

"Why not. WAITER BRING OUT THE GLADIATOR ARENA!" Ordered Rainbow Dash with that sentence all the Pegasus flew up to avoid the terrible vibration. After all the commotion was finished there was a plain Gladiator arena with seats above for the crowds who wanted to watch.

"Please pick your weapon," said the waiter. Rainbow Dash picked a javelins and a shield with a Medusa head on it. And, Queen Chrylisas picked just a normal shield. Then they putted on their ocrea. They also putted on the galea. And finally they putted on the last guard for their body, the galerus.

"Why didn't you grab a shield changeling queen?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Wanted your death to be faster huh?"

"I want to prove I don't need a stupid shield to win a gladiator fight," said Queen Chrylisas. And right at those few words the fight began. Queen Chrylisas charged at Rainbow Dash, but Rainbow Dash parried the sword with her javelin. Then Rainbow Dash jabbed Queen Chrylisas with her shield. Which made Queen Chrylisas loose balance for the perfect opportunity for Rainbow Dash to go in for the attack. so Rainbow Dash then stabbed Queen Chrylisas with her javelin.

"Good game, but I wish you were a more worthy opponent," said Rainbow Dash.

The gladiator fight with Spitfire

After Rainbow Dash defeated Queen Chrylisas she left the diner and decided to go to the Wonderbolt Academy.

"Let's just hope you can defeat Spitfire just as easy as you defeated Queen Chrylisas," said FlutterShy

"Yeah, like that will happen with my luck," admitted Rainbow Dash. With that final sentence they arrived at Spitfire's office. Rainbow Dash knocked on the door.

"Please come in Ms.Dash," said Spitfire. So Rainbow Dash walked in just like Spitfire said to. On Rainbow Dash was a very eager face ready to start the fight and end it very quickly.

"So Spitfire where is the fight going to be held at?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"Why right here on Wonderbolt Academy grounds of course," said Spitfire like Rainbow Dash should have known the answer. And so with that final sentence Spitfire moved her painting right behind her desk and hit a button. Then, outside he flight take off was transforming into a gladiator arena.

"Please chose your weapon wisely Ms.Dash," said Spitfire. This time Rainbow Dash grabbed a gladius. And, Spitfire chose the pugio. They both grabbed shields and equipped their armor.

"You are smarter than my last opponent who was Queen Chrylisas," said Rainbow Dash.

"What do you mean by 'You are smarter than my last opponent'?" Asked Spitfire.

"Queen Chrylisas didn't even care to grab a shield," said Rainbow Dash. But, that was the last sentence because every pony was getting impatient. The bell rung for the fight to begin. Spitfire was the first to jab Rainbow Dash with her shield, even though Rainbow Dash quickly gained her balance again.

"You are one extraordinary mare," said Spitfire. Rainbow Dash jabbed Spitfire with her shield with all the force she could. Spitfire couldn't get quickly gain her balance fast enough to avoid what came after the shield jab. Immediately Rainbow Dash flew and stabbed Spitfire with her gladius. It caused a big cut enough to have a blood fountain. But, that did not stop Spitfire. Spitfire immediate gained her balance even though Rainbow Dash was right on top of her. She smashed Rainbow Dash again with her shield, but that didn't even seem to do anything. Rainbow Dash just seemed to get angrier. Rainbow Dash jabbed Spitfire with her shield again. This time she stabbed Spitfire in the heart.

"Good game Rainbow Dash. You won and these are my final words, so listen up. You must take my job as Wonderbolt leader and lead the Wonderbolts. You are something special Rainbow Dash," said Spitfire. After she finished talking Spitfire just vanished within nothing and only her clothing remained. Rainbow Dash putted on Spitfire's cloth and assumed her role of Wondebolts leader.
