The horseman, Death, has revived humanity by falling in to the well of souls but he didn't know that the well was a portal to different demensions and now Death is stranded on a strange land.
Death just fell in the well of souls to bring back his brother and spare his brother from oblivian. He is shocked to find himself in Equestia populated by beings the Kingdom of Man called ponies. While exploring this new land he discovers that humanity will not be revived until he finds all four rulers of this land and kill them to take thier crowns because together they make an incredible light that beams through all the realms cleansing them. If it does that, humanity will be reborn and the Horseman known as WAR will be spared.
As a warning there will be spoilers from the game so I highly suggest if you haven't beat or played Darksiders 1 or 2 you might want to do that to understand the story.
The horseman, Death, has just fought through ancient realms such has the corrupted Heaven, Hell, the Tree of Life and the destroyed Kingdom of Man to resurrect Earth and save his fellow horseman War. Death now walks towards the Well of Souls only to meet by Absalom, Death's brother who corrupted these realms. Now Death must face Absalom to resurrect humanity and save his brother ,War, from being sent to oblivion.....but if he does will he face something more difficult or will he fail and watch more realms destroyed and corrupted by Absalom and watch War be consumed by the council...........
It was a bright sunny day as a white rabbit goes in an open grass field, trying to get space from his owner trying to give him a bath. He slowly hopped through the field until he heard the voice of his owner call out his name, "Angel, Angel? It's time for your bath, please come out we have to be with Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity for the pet picnic. Please." said a yellow and pink figure with a whispered voice walking through bushes trying to find her lost pet. Angel quickly jumped in the tall grass until he saw her walk past. He slowly peeked out and saw she was gone, Angel hopped out only to hear a strange sound in the sky. He then saw a green and turquoise vortex form in the clouds as the sky became dark. A grayish bipedal being fell from the vortex to the field below along with a mask that looked like a long oval, like skull.
Death slowly came as he got up and looked at his surroundings to see where the Well of souls sent him. He then saw his mask next to his foot as he almost stepped on it. Death picked up his lost mask and examined it confusingly. How did it get here, did he give to Crowfather before he fell in the Well of Souls? Unless his job wasn't finished! Death put on his masks and screams with rage in the air.
"Arrrrrrggggghhhhhh! Humanity isn't restored, but why I fell in the Well of Souls! What else do I need to do!?" Death fell to his knees as he pounded the ground in anger until he heard Crowfathers voice. Death stopped and took out his two scythes as he saw Crowfather spirit rise from the ground. Death was about to strike when Crowfather put his hand up to stop him.
"Easy Rider of Death, I did not betray as you think." Crowfather slowly put his hand down as did Death with his weapons.
"Then why is humanity still lay in ruin?" Death asked concerned.
"The final task to bring back the Kingdom of man is in this very realm."
"What is it?"
"There is four crowns on four rulers you must kill in order to combine their powers to spread light all across the realms that was created by the maker himself."
"Where do I start?"
"Why don't you ask the locals? There is a cottage nearby her and by my theories whoever lives there will help you find the four, but do not mention the deaths of them. They might not look it, but this is a strong race and will do anything to preserve their rulers"
"Yes Crowfather, which way do I go?"
"Keep heading North you will soon find the cottage." Death nodded and walked off as the spirit of the Crowfather slowly descended into the ground. Death slowly summoned a skeletal like bronco with light green flames as a mane and tail as he rode off for the cottage Crowfather spoke of.
The Cottage
Angel got caught by his owner about fifteen minutes ago as he was being dragged back to her cottage. His owner was a yellow pegasus with a long pink mane and big blue eyes. They walked in the cottage as the pegasus put Angel in a hot tub of water with soap as she scrubbed him singing a little toon. That is until she heard a ghostly yell from a horse as she heard stop in front of her door. She whimpered a she slowly went to door until she heard a knock and backed away. "Is anyone there, I need directions.' said a manly voice. The pegasus assumed it was a stallion so she took a deep breath in relief as she opened the door to see a gray bipedal creature with long black hair and a skeleton mask and to her surprising she saw a bony horse with green flames the size of Celestia. Death looked confused to see this creature, he had heard the Kingdom of Man talk about these beings long ago and they called them 'ponies'. Death finally broke the silence with a simple question.
"I am Death, who are you and where is the nearest town." The yellow pegasus gulped as she stared in the eyes of Death, literally, as she regained her voice as she finally spoke.
"My name is f-f-fluttershy, and the n-n-nearest town is p-p-ponyville." Fluttershy said with a frightening look in her eyes as if she thought the bronco next to death would attack her anytime if he gave the command. Death looked at the fear in her eyes as he remembered that fear as he slain his enemies in the other realms he was in.
"Thank you Fluttershy", said Death "I will take my leave."
"WAIT!" screamed Fluttershy as Death turned back around and continued, "mm-m-may I ask you're h-h-here?"
Death was about to reach for one of his scythes as he heard Crowfather’s words echo through his head, ‘do not mention the deaths of the four rulers unless your mission will result in failure'. Death slowly removed his hand and said "You will see soon enough little yellow one." Death slowly got on top of his horse and road of towards the town called 'Ponyville'.
Fluttershy was agape when he jumped on the ghostly horses back to ride to her home town she hadn't see anypony (or anyone) ride another nopony like that. Fluttershy quickly took Angel and flew out her back door avoiding the strange creature, it was lucky Death took the long way to Ponyville instead of the short way.
Ponyville, Twilight's Library
Fluttershy flew to front door of the tree house as she pounded on the door as hard she could until a lavender alicorn with a purple mane and tail with a pink strip walked out, it was Twilight.
Twilight saw Fluttershy about to burst into tears when she saw her and was about to ask her what was wrong until she hear the rest of her friends in her home come out. They were a cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane named Rainbow Dash, a marshmallow unicorn with a stylish purple mane and tail named Rarity, an orange earth pony with a blonde mane and tail with a cowboy hat named Applejack, a pink earth pony with a puffy mane and tail named Pinkie Pie, and to Fluttershy's surprise she saw another alicorn who was pink with a purple, green, and blue mane named Cadence.
"Fluttershy! Are you ok?!" they all said with concerned looks in their eyes."What happened?" Fluttershy was about to answer when she heard screams behind her. All the mares turned around to see Death on his bony horse clutching his scythes with angered looks in his eyes. The mares except Rainbow Dash of course who looked in hate as well.
"I'm going to pound this thing for scaring my friends" Rainbow screamed as she flew towards Death.
"Wait, Rainbow," Applejack tried calling her friend but it was too late Rainbow Dash instantly bucked Death in the chest when he flew off his horse. His horse vanished back in to the ground as Death thought to himself as he got up 'Crowfather wasn't kidding about me underestimating them guess asking is out of the question'. Just then Rainbow was about to Buck him again until Death grabbed her neck and threw her in to a carriage.
"Wow Rainbow that was really really cool, but you kind of messed up when he grabbed you." Pinkie said as she helped rainbow Dash. Twilight looked at the figure walking with both of his scythes in his hands as he walked slowly towards them until he stopped.
"Who are you and why are you doing this?" Twilight asked with tears forming in her eyes when she saw Rainbow limping with a broken wing, twisted ankle, and bruises on her neck where death has grabbed her. She hated seeing her friends in pain. Cadence saw that Twilight couldn't talk anymore and look to the rest of her remaining friends waiting to attack this creature for attacking Rainbow Dash and for making Twilight cry.
Cadence then motioned them to stop. "It's ok, I'll handle this, go comfort Twilight and Rainbow Dash, this shouldn't take long." The elements tried to talk Cadence out of what she was doing but she had already walked toward the creature with serious looks in her eyes ready for anything this gray bipedal could throw at her. Death was still looking her up and down, he then noticed her crown on her head when he realized 'she is one of the rulers'. Death finally started to walk forward until he stopped again by the sound of Cadence's voice.
"Leave this place creature for you have hurt my friends and terrorized this lovely town, or I will be forced to bring you down." Cadence threatened as she heard ponies cheering her name, the Crystal Princess. Death didn't listen to her warning, he couldn't leave he needed her soul and crown for humanity and his brother, so he got in his defensive stance.
"Very well, then!" Cadence roared as she charged him with all the ponies cheering even the mane six was screaming her name.
Death charged the opposite direction as the ponies waited to see the most epic battle that happened in Equestria since Nightmare Moon.
How wrong they were when they were surprised what happened next.
Death and Cadence got closer and closer. Cadence's horn glowed bright as a blinding light shot out blinding them. Cadence and Death passed each other but it was so fast nopony knew what happened. Twilight looking confused as she saw Death in his defensive position facing her and her friend's while Cadence was standing straight up, her back facing them.
"What happened they just ran past each other none of them even landed an attack?" Twilight said trying to figure out an explanation on what just happened. She then was in shock as she saw Princess Cadenece's crown in one of his hands and that’s when it hit her something did happen it was just so fast nopony could see it. Twilight then looked over to Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity with tears in their eyes as they were staring at Cadence. Twilight saw Cadence and tears began to fill her eyes too as well as the other ponies in the town. Death stood up and stared at the mane 6 and turned back to Cadence............
Who had fallen to the ground with her head rolling of her body to Death's feet?
Everypony was silent; they had just witnessed one of their Princesses get decapitated in a blink of an eye. Death slowly put away his scythes as he walked toward the headless body. Death looked blankly at the body, he didn't want to kill it, but he knew it was the only way to complete his task. Twilight and her friends were crying their eyes out seeing their friend get killed so brutally. Twilight felt the worse though. How was she going to explain to Celestia and Luna that their niece is lying on the ground dead, Then something inside her made her stomach turn how was she supposed to tell her brother, Shining Armor, that his wife that he loved dearly was no a pile of blood. The six friends cuddled with each other trying to comfort one another, until Twilight broke the embrace and looked at her friends with a daring look in her eyes.
"Twilight, don't even think about it, he killed Cadence like it was w nothin', plus we can't lose ya' too!" Applejack pleaded to Twilight.
Twilight then lifted up Applejack's chin and gave her a warm smile to tell her that 'everything is going to be alright', but they both knew she was lying.
"I am not going to fight him Applejack."
"Then where are ya' goin'?"
"I am going to get that crown back!" Twilight exclaimed with a glare in her eyes. "You’re not going to do that alone is you?" a stallion voice said. Twilight knew this voice all too well, the voice she grew up with, the one that was at the Canterlot wedding, and the one from King Sombra. "Shining!" Twilight exclaimed as she saw her brother, a white unicorn with purple armor, and about 20 of the royal guard. Twilight was now filled with tears and so was Shining seeing the body of his wife and the creature that had took her life, but all he was worried about at this moment was to help his little sister get the crown away from the nightmare that stood before them. "Shining what are you doing here are you supposed to be doing something in the Crystal Empire, and how did you know what was going on?" Twilight wanted to go on with questions until Shining Armor put a hoof over her mouth.
"Twily," Shining Armor said, “there is nothing that could keep me apart from you and Cadence and Spike wrote a letter to Princess Celestia telling her the situation, so she sent me and the other guard to help y...."
Shining armor was cut off seeing a sight which made his heart fall deep in to the abyss of his stomach. Twilight and her friends saw what Shining was staring at as they all had tears once again. Death slowly put his hand on the body of Cadence as the essence of her body started to disintegrate in a green light and flow in to her crown until there was nothing left. Death smiled under his mask at how easy it was to get the soul of the first princess.
"One down, three to.....aaaahhh!" Death screamed as a purple beam shot the crown out of his hand and in to the hooves of Shining Armor. Death was now in rage and annoyed as he took out his scythes and prepared for battle......again.
"This does not belong to you demon and you will perish for the murder of my wife!!!" Shining yelled with tears in his eyes as he raised a hoof signaling his archers on the buildings in Ponyville. Death was caught off guard as he felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder; he had been shot with an arrow! Shining Armor put his hoof down as arrows from every single direction started to fire. Death started to charge Shining while dodging every arrow that went in his way.
"Ground troops take him to down!" Shining yelled as about 7 royal guards with spears charged the creature. Death jumped over one guard dodging the swing of his spear slicing another guards face with his scythes. Two other guards tried to take him in the back but Death quickly turned cutting off both their heads. The other four guards looked in terror as they saw this creature kill three royal guard in under a minute. The last four gulped and charged Death, but he was ready as Death jumped high in the air putting his two scythes together making a hammer and slamming it to the ground making a shockwave throwing all the royal guard, except Shining who stood his ground, back in to the nearest building.
"The crown! Give it to me!" Death roared in anger as he raised his scythe toward the seven ponies that had resisted him.
"You won't get this crown! You brute!" screamed Rarity as her horn started to glow.
"That's right you don't deserve this crown when ya' killed our friend for it!" Applejack agreed pulling her lasso out of her hat. The remaining five nodded and took defensive stances around Death. 'Crowfather I am surrounded by the civilians who want to kill me." Death thought as he tried to reach Crowfather who soon answered, "Do you have the crown rider of death'. Death was still angered on how a pony took the crown from but he managed to keep his emotions in check. "I did but the locals took it back and now got me surrounded.” Crowfather thought for a few moments until he finally answered' Death don't kill them, but defend yourself enough to take back the crown.' death looked confused on what the Crowfather just said usually he would just tell him to kill them and take the crown with extreme prejudice. 'Why' Death asked in his head. 'Because what I saw they had a connection with that Princess Cadence if you could somehow earn their trust they could probably take you to the other three princesses with ease'. " I'll do something better" Death said with a grin under his mask.
"You just going to stand there or are you going to show us what your made of?" Rainbowdash bragged as she did two back flips in the air.
"Your friend wanted to know who I was before I disposed of her," Death said calmly as he looked in the eyes of the seven and figured that Crowfather was telling the truth, who ever these ponies where they had some sort of connection with Princess Cadence, so he continued, "My name is Death, one of the four horseman. I already met the yellow one but that’s all who I need to know, so if you don't mind I will be taking that crown." Death now pulled both of scythes back out and also got in his defensive stance.
All eight of them stood in the same position which felt like hours until Twilight finally shot a beam of magic, which Death quickly blocked. He then turned around to see Rainbowdash charging toward himwith speed he hadn't seen before, he was about to punch he in mid air until Applejack lassoed his arm as Rainbow head butted Death in the stomach. He fell to his knees as Rainbow was about to strike again, without hesitation Death grabbed Applejack's lasso and yanked her in to Rainbow knocking them both cold. Death then felt something creamy hit his back, he turned and got pelted in the face with cake as he fell on his back. He slowly got to see Pinkie on a blue cannon with her man deflated and a look in her eyes that reminded him of Lilith.
"Taste my party cannon meanie,beanie!!" Pinkie yelled as she took another cake out of her mane and stuffing it in to the cannon and getting ready to fire. Death then combined his scythes to create a doubled-bladed staff, spinning it like a helicopter as Pinkie continued firing cakes at him, but it was no use every cake she fired was sliced with the spinning blades with Death unharmed but covered with icing. When he finally reached Pinkie he un did his scythes and jammed one of them in the hole of the cannon making it explode knocking pinkie back ten feet to be caught by Rarity.
"Why you ruffian! How dare you hurt an innocent pony like Pinkie Pie!" Rarity screamed as she lowered Pinkie as she lowered at two carts and chucked them towards Death as he ran up and cut through both of them and instantly kicking Rarity in to a tree knocking her out as well. Death turned to see Fluttershy who he first met when he got to this world.
"So Fluttershy what do you have for me?" Death chuckled as Fluttershy fainted, "That's what I thought."
Death slowly noticed the last two standing with worried looks on their faces."Don't worry their not dead, I only kill when someone gets in my way."
"So that's why you killed Cadence?!! Just because she was in your way!!!” Twilight yelled with her wings spread and her horn growing with magic.
'This one’s a strong one I got to be careful unless it is all over' Death thought as he dodged and blocked each magical attack Twilight and her brother shot at him. 'They can't keep this up for long soon their magic will deplete and that will be my time to strike" Death planned in his mind. Twilight and Shining fired magic bullets nonstop until Shining Armor horn flickered as it ran out of magic just as Death predicted. He quickly kicked dirt in the white unicorns eyes as he stumbled back on the ground hitting his head with a thud on a piece of debris knocking him out. Death quickly grabbed the crown from Shining looked at it with victory.
"Why.....just why?" Twilight muttered trying to fight back the tears.
"Listen all of this might look bad but I am doing it for a good reason." Death tried to explain
"Then what is so good you have to kill my sister-in-law, hurt my friends, and knock out my brother!!!!!"
"Because I have to save....eeerrrgggh!" Death screamed as a yellow beam struck his back but this wasn't like the same beams Twilight and Shining was shooting at him. This one made him feel drowsy as he fell on one knee to try to keep his strength. He turned around to see a tall white horse with a horn and wings with a colorful mane flowing by itself. Death tried to reach for his weapons but couldn't when the same horse knocked him in the back with a paralyzing spell. Death fell to both knees and quickly blacked out face in the dirt.
"Princess Celestia!!!" Twilight screamed as letting out the tears to go and hug her teacher. Twilight broke the embrace and started to speak sniffling through her words, "Princess Celestia, Cadence is...is...," Celestia put a hoof on her students shoulder. "I know Twilight she is gone, but we have to take your friends back to Canterlot this is going to get a lot worst."
"What do you mean" Twilight asked with a concerned look.
"There has been another sighting of more of these bipedal creatures here and is described one on having crimson skin, bat wings, two horns coming out of its head."
"Then what about him?"
"What about him?"
"He said the only reason he killed Cadence was because he tried to save something."
Celestia looking curious stared at Death on the ground thinking of the same question. "Then we must put him in chains and take him to Canterlot with us so we can interrogate him." Celestia said in a stern voice as three carriages flown by the royal guard landed to pick up their passengers. Two of the carriages looked like it was just for travel on a vacation while the one looked like a cage with hand cuffs and chains.
The rest of Twilight friends and her brother started to come back to reality as Twilight tried to fill them in on what happened. They were agape when she told them about when Princess Celestia knocked out Death, but their expressions went even more down when they heard there were more like him in Equestria somewhere.
"Elements and Captain Armor we need to get to Canterlot as quickly as possible." Celestia said in a hurried voice. The seven nodded and boarded the two carriages while the royal guard chained up Death still knocked out in the cage on the third carriage.
"Alright guards we're ready to go." Shining Armor ordered as the guards took of and made a course for Canterlot.
The Mild West
"Where are we?" said a female voice looking sternly at her demon soldiers.
"We don't know my lady, but this is where the master said Death will be." one of the demons said with a scared look on his face. "If Death is here that means....." she paused before the thought clicked in her head, "He never restored humanity or rescued his pathetic brother, Hahahahahaha!" The demonic woman laughed until she was cut off by one of her soldiers rushing towards her. "what is it?!" She asked in a terrorrfing voice even Discord would pee his pants. "My lady me and the scouts found a nearby town, populated with the locals what do you want us to do?" asked the demon.
"Well we are a little hungry won't hurt to have a little snack. Hey, who knows they might know where Death is. Commander let's go have dinner." the woman said with a evil grin.
The demon motioned the rest of the demon army towards the town and bowed to his higher ranking official. "Yes, Mistress Lilith."
Celestia and the rest of the Mane 6 stood in silence as they are were mourning for their fallen friend, Princess Cadence, until Shining Armor broke the silence.
"What is it Shining Armor?" asked Celestia in a sadden voice.
"Princess the creature won't answer any of our questions we tried everything from being polite to even threats!" Shining yelled with disbelief.
"Bring him in here. I will see if I can get through to it."
"Yes Princess." Shining Armor bowed as he walked out of the room leaving the seven ponies to think on how they were going to react when Death comes in the throne room in chains. "Ah hope that thing gets what’s comin' for' him." said Applejack stomping her hooves to the ground. "I am with you Applejack when that thing walks in I am going to buck him in to next Tuesday!" exclaimed Rainbow while flying and punching the air. "I am not a fan for violence but since he killed Cadence and messed up my mane, I'll rip him too pieces." Rarity said while trying to comb out her mane. Twilight couldn't be mad for some reason though, yeah she was pissed that this thing walked in her home town and decapitated her friend, but she couldn't feel it. She just felt like there was some reason why Death would harm an innocent soul. Twilight was deep in thought until her friends cut her train of thought by them naming a whole bunch of ways on how to make Death talk by either Pinkie tickling and talking no stop to hitting him with a baseball bat. Damn, even Fluttershy said they should cover him in cuts and pour lemon juice all over him until he told them why he is here. Twilight looked at Celestia with a concerned look and she returned the glance. Twilight finally had tears come up in her eyes and so did Celestia.
"Why w-w-would something b-b-be so c-c-cruel?" Twilight sobbed.
Celestia with tears still in her eyes looked down at her heart broken, "Twilight I..."
"Princess! Here he is as you requested!" yelled Shining Armor as six guards dragged Death though the throne room on his knees. Celestia quickly wiped her tears and turned around and gave Death a not so happy look. Celestia walked slowly to Death as his head was hung down, so Celestia lifted up his head while Death looked at her but anger wasn't in his eyes, it was sadness, guilt, and failure. Death turned his head to see the same six ponies that he had defeated, they both exchanged glares as they wanted a rematch with him. Death only chuckled as he knew if that happened the result will be the same as last time. Celestia finally broke the silence when she started to fill the tension in the room.
"Why are you laughing creature?" Celestia said raising an eyebrow. Death looked back at Ceestia wich she had a confused look. 'I really hope this plan works' he thought.
"It’s just that all you ponies think you could break me but you can't. Do you know why?" Death questioned with a blank look on Celestia's face which meant 'no', "Because these unicorns are too weak to look in to mind." Death felt a strong pain as he felt Rainbow Dash head butt him right in to his stomach. As Death fell to the ground clutching his stomach the 6 mares started to approach him until Celestia moved in between them. The six ponies, even Death, looked awe as Celestia was protecting him.
"Celestia! What are you doing?!" Twilight screamed as she was still glaring at Death but relieved that he was still in chains.
"Guards leave us" Celestia commanded as the six guards walked out the room.
"Why did you protect me?" Death asked with a confused look on his face.
"Yeah! What's the big idea! I had him!" Rainbow said still flying. Celestia gave her a disapproving look as Rainbow slowly descended.
"Princess with no disrespect, why are ya' protecting after what he has done?" Applejack asked
Celestia turned from Death and began to explain herself to the awestruck six in front of her. “My dearest ponies the reason why I protected him is because I think there is something more than this creature just killing Cadence out of fun."
"What are you trying to say he is an assassin trying to protect the world from templars!" Pinkie said as the rest even Death was confused and did not know what she meant, but decided not to question it.
"No, Pinkie Pie" said Celestia "I think there is good reason why he killed Cadence."
"But Princess how is there any good reason to kill somepony it's just uncivilized!" exclaimed Rarity.
"Because when I looked in to his eyes I only saw guilt and sadness like he didn't want to kill in the first place." said Celestia. Death finally looked at all of them as they started to stare him up and down. "Just to get this out the way because I know it will be the first question I hear is that my name is Death, second horseman of the apocalypse, and I have come on........ professional business."
"T okill everypony you see!" Rainbow said as she flew up to his face looking at him with an intense stare to hopefully intimidate him, but it did nothing. Death ignored the Rainbow pony and waited for another question, but the next pony who asked a question surprised him he expected the orange one or even the pink one since she talked so much, but it was the yellow one that always hid under her mane every time she looked at him and the one he first met at the cottage. 'This just got interesting maybe I will stay a little longer' Death thought. Fluttershy was scared out of her mind with every step she took towards Death. "So....what is it.....Fluttershy?" Death asked trying to remember the pegasus's name.
"Um.....so why did you kill our friend since you did it out of good." Fluttrshy asked hiding under her mane.
"Reasons."Death said as he didn't want to answer that questioned. Twilight did not like his response at all as she turned red with anger and exploded.
"What do you mean reasons!" Twilight yelled with tears in her eyes again, "You killed my brother's wife, one of my family members, my friend and all you have is just Reasons! How cold hearted are y......"
"You ponies think you’re the only ones who lost a family member!" Death snapped as lunged forward Twilight but only to be pulled back by Celestia's magic, “I have a brother as well who I may never see again! I had a whole civilization now laid in ruins because of a dumbass deal I made! So don't talk to me about being cold hearted you bitch!"
Everypony was now quiet and felt like a knife was stabbed right in to their gut with no remorse. Twilight was now stepping back as Death fell to his knees. 'Death can you hear me?' Crowfather said in his mind. Death shot up not caring to speak out loud, "Crowfather? Is that you?” Everypony looked in confusion as to figure out who Death was talking to. "Who is Crowfather is he your dad that is a crow or is he a crow that is your dad?" asked Pinkie. Death simply ignored the fact and focused on trying to here Crow father. ‘Death I have just came to tell you that you have failed me and now I have no use for you' Crowfather said with a malicious intent. "What do you mean?" Death asked. 'I mean that I have a new client to help me bring back humanity but not for them to be in piece but to be my slaves and personal army!’ Death had an angered look under his mask and punched the floor all the ponies gasped as he made a hole the shape of his fist in the floor. "You played me! Come out so I can play with your feathered corpse!" Death screamed as Crowfather left his mind for the last time.
Celestia walked up to comfort him until Death pushed way not wanting to be bothered."Death", said Celestia in a calm voice "Are you ok? Who is Crowfather?"
"Not important at the moment but I will tell you this I am sorry for murdering your friend. Like I said I know what it is like to lose someone close to you, I have just slaughtered an innocent soul for no reason and now in chains to face my...." at that moment Twilight unlocked the chains and helped Death to his feet. She had a smile with tears on her face and so did the other 5 ponies, Celestia nodded and walked over to Death again.
"So Death would you mind telling us why your here now, since e trust you." Twilight said. Death simply nodded and sat down rubbing his wrists for having the chains on so long.
"I think it would be best if I showed you."
"But you said unicorn magic isn’t used for projecting images from your brain."
"Exactly, I said unicorn not alicorn." Twilight simply nodded as her horn glowed until she was stopped by Rarity. "Twilight are you sure about showing us this brutes memories you don’t know what might happen." said Rarity with a concern look. "I have to try" Twilight responded as she continued the spell. A purple beam shot out her horn and instantly split into two as the two beams went in to the chest and forehead of Death.
"AAARRRGGHHH" Death screamed in pain regretting on letting them do this. Then all of a sudden a magical aura wrapped around Death as a sphere came out of his body showing his memories and every pony was shocked at what they saw..........
Everypony looked in the room in shock to see Death take on all those Demons all by himself except from the help of the glowing green bronco.
"That....was......awesome."
"He sure is mighty strong"
"I believe that all this violence is scaring dear, Fluttershy."
"Did you see when he transformed and became something stronger 10x! Amazing!"
The mane 6 were having a conversation on how terrifying but cool on how Death was until Celestia got serious with a stern voice immediately getting the attention of the six friends.
"Hold my little ponies there is another memory and this is the one that will give us answers." Celestia said as they all circled the sphere as it started to show another memory.........
All the ponies were now awestruck as the sphere returned into Death and the purple aura around him disappeared.
"Death are you ok?" said Celestia as she tried to help but instead of pushing her away he accepted the kindness.
"Do you all see why I am here now?" said Death
"Ah think for speaking for everypony here is that we forgive ya for what ya did and we are sorry that you were betrayed and we accept yer friendship." said Applejack shaking his hand.
"That's fine it is not the first time I got stabbed in the back."
"But there is one more thing I am still concerned about you."
"And what is that?"
"You’re not tellin us somethin important and don't try to deny it ah can smell a lie from a mile away." Death was surprised that this little pony could figure out a secret just in a split of a second, but he knew that it would have to wait for another time.
"Sorry, but that's for another time." Apple jack frowned but sighed in defeat. "Fine but ah want ta know what ya hidin'."
Celestia was then about to speak when she heard the doors slamming open to see her sister Princess Luna to come rushing in with a concerned look on her face. Death could tell this was Celestia's sister because she had some similarities like her. She was shorter than Celestia but taller than the average pony, she had a dark blue coat, with a mane and tail that looked like the night sky.
"Luna what is the matter?!" Celestia asked, but Luna was focused on Death who was out of his Chains as she glared at him ready for a fight. Celestia took notice of this and explained the situation.
"Don't worry Luna he is with us, what’s wrong?" Luna taking her eyes of Death and looked at Celestia.
"Tia Appleloosa is being attacked by demonic creatures and being led by a red female with demonic wings." Death looking shocked as he stepped forward and his two scythes appeared in his hands.
"I know who they are. The creatures are called demons the population of the realm known as Hell and the one that is leading them is an old enemy of mine!" Death growled as he summoned his bronco and rode out the window riding though Canterlot.
Celestia quickly took action and turned towards the six, “Twilight you and the others take the elements and follow Death to Appleloosa to help him defeat these invaders." The six nodded as they put on their elements and hurried out the door to the carriage they arrived in to fly to Applelossa.
While Death was riding in the streets of Canterlot he eventually found the it and rode off away from the city. "So Crowfather you chose her as your new client. I have to admit I am surprised but it won't matter, after I kill her I will be coming for you next." Death was now riding in the wilderness which was the Mild West he heard some guards talk about while he was chained up. "If I am correct the town known as Appleloosa should be around here somewhere." Death rode until he saw a sign say Welcome to Appleloosa, but what Death saw was flames rising from a town and Demons flying from above making sure no pegasi was able to escape. Death than kicked the back of his bronco motioning it to go faster. He scowled under his mask and took out his two scythes and rode toward the town.
Death galloped as fast as he could though the desert of the Mild West, racing to Appleloosa to fend of the demon attack. He rode thinking about why Lillith was here. Did she want revenge? Was she looking for something or someo.....
"Oh no" Death said as he rode breaking the sound barrier as he knew why Lillith was here she wanted Death and would cause terror and destruction just to find him. Death rode and rode but nothing no sign of life except for the poisonous snakes and the cacti in standing in the blazing sun. Death slowly walked through the west craving for thirst and starting to hallucinate. Death than fell to his knees until he felt a hand on his shoulder. When Death looked up his mouth went agape under his mask, right there standing before him was a man in armor with a red hood, grey claw-like gauntlets and a great sword on his back with ancient writing on it, and his eyes was glowing a bright yellow and long gray hair......it was his brother War.
"War is that you? Death said as he tried to get to his feet but fell to his feet for he was too weak.
"Yes it is brother; I know it has been a while since we talked but....." War was simply cut off by Death who knows finally got to his feet.
"Why are you here aren't you suppose to be with the council in chains?" War simply nodded
"Yes I am, and still am."
"What do you mean?"
"I am only a figment of your imagination Death the heat has gotten in your head and now starting to hallucinate." Death than moved his hand through War’s as he knew he was right. His brother War was just a spirit made by his mind due to the heat of the wilderness.
"Since I know that you are not actually my brother what do you want?" Death asked in a stern voice. War simply returned the glare and responded.
"Death you must not give up protecting the natives and get your revenge on Crowfather because if your fail not only I will be lost to you but all of the other realms as we know it." War said putting his ghost like hand on Death's shoulder."I don't know brother, Crowfather is in league with Lillith and the natives don't trust me as it is so why should I help them!" Death roared as he slammed his fist to the ground. War walked over to Death and kneeled down until he met his little brother’s gaze."Because they are the only ones who can bring back humanity."
"What?! What do you mean! Crowfather said you need the souls and crowns of all four princesses!" Death roared again
"When are you doing to learn that Crowfather has been lying to you? He only wants the princesses for their unlimited power and with that he could overthrow the council."
"So, what makes these six so special then?"
"They posses six artifacts called the elements of harmony that can cleanse a world of evil and from legend can also revive dead worlds." Death was now awestruck when he heard this why wasn't he told of these elements, he told them of his past and everything about him, and they are still hiding secrets from him, but who could blame them he too was keeping something hidden but won't be able to bring it up till later.
"Death" War said putting his hand on his brothers shoulder once again," You have been a great rider and good brother but my time with you here is almost up, but now I need you to wake up." Death looked confused in his eyes, what did he mean by wake up? That's when Death started to hear a familiar female voice come out of War's mouth saying wake up! Wake up! Come on Death we need you! Death then saw his brother fade away and so as the wilderness he was in and everything went black.
Death simply awoke in one of the Royal carriages with the mane 6 staring at him with a concerned look in their eyes. Twilight then broke the silence.
"Death are you ok?" Twilight said
"Yeah we saw you walking then you fell like PLOT! Right on your face, I remeber when I fell like that but that was when..."
"I am fine" said Death cutting off Pinkie.
"Uh Twi, ya might wanna come look at this." said Applejack looking out the window. The six ponies gasped as they saw Appleloosa in flames and demons carrying ponies off to Celestia knows where. "Oh no this is dreadful Twilight we can't take them on all by ourselves!" said Rarity. "Oh well guess we can't fight these guys time to go home." Fluttershy said hopefully they would agree but Rainbow quickly stopped in front of her from going anywhere. "Whoa there Flutters," said Dash, "We aren't just leaving Appleloosa as it burns to the ground." Death slowly walked slowly to the edge of the carriage. "What do you think your doing?!" screamed Rarity as she tugged Death to get back in the carriage. "I am going to go deal with these invaders if you don't mind." replied Death annoyingly. "Don't ya think we should land first?" asked Applejack tilting her head. Rainbow then flew in front of Death's face, "Yeah and how do you expect to take those monsters on your own even of how awesome I am. I even know my limits." Death simply ignored Dash as he prepared to jump until he felt a purple magic aura around him preventing him from moving and noticed it was Twilight. "Can you at least put the carriage over the town?" Twilight ask, Death simply nodded as he sat back down his seat. 'You’re lucky your my brother War because if you weren’t these ponies would have their heads on my belt' Death thought as he glanced at the burning town.
Appleloosa
Lillith was walking through the fire set town as she watched her demons carry and terrorize everypony in the town. All she could do is life until she felt a rock hit the back of her head. Her laughter quickly faded when she turned around and saw a yellow stallion with an orange mane,and cowboy hat.
"You'll pay for this you witch!" screamed the stallion
"Don't get worked up slave. I told you that I and my army just wanted a bite to eat and supplies."
"You never mentioned the snack and supplies being us!"
Well sorry for you misunderstanding. The weak fall and get devoured by the strong and that's just how it is." said Lillith as she punched the stallion in the gut. He fell to his side clutching his abdomen with his hooves as Lillith pulled out a flaming sword and raised it over the stallion.
"Goodbye, Braeburn." Lillith whispered as she brought down the sword. Braeburn closed his eyes and waited for his death to come......but it never came he slowly opened his eyes and saw two scythes clinging with Lillith's sword. Braeburn then took the opportunity to escape but got knocked down by demon. He was about to impale Braeburn with his demonic axe until a lasso came and tied it around the demon and a magic bolt hitting it square in the face knocking it out cold. Braeburn then turned to see six familiar ponies staring at him with joyful tears in their eyes.
"Braeburn!" they all yelled and wrapped him in an embrace
"Girls I am glad you are here we sure needed some help fendin' these guys off." Braeburn said.
"Alrighty, cuzin what do ya want us ta do." said Applejack tilting her hat.
"All you girls have to do is make it to the bell tower I learned that these creatures hate vibrations so the ringing from that bell might scare them off." explained Braeburn with confidence but getting worried looks from the six. "Don't worry me and the buffalo will be just fine with the fire and the monsters jus' get to that bell tower ya; here."said Braeburn in a calm but stern voice.
"You heard him girls let’s get to that bell tower." said Twilight as her and the six left Braeburn to get the tower.
The six battled though the streets blasting, bucking, and ramming every demon that crossed there path until they reached the tower. "Alright, Rainbow, Rarity, Fluttershy stay out here and make sure nothing comes inside." Twilight ordered as she was given a solute from the three."Applejack, Pinkie your with me so we can ring that bell" Twilight said as they nodded and galloped inside the building.
Meanwhile Death was battling Lillith through the streets of chaos. Death threw a punch at Lillith's jaw who returned a knee to the stomach as back up and swung his scythes aiming for her neck but she blocked it with her flaming sword and kicked Death sending him flying into another building. Lillith slowly walked in to the hole of the building and smirked when she saw nothing but rubble but it instantly went away as Death's staff caught around her neck and threw her in to the nearest stand.
"Give up Lillith you know I already won." Death said sternly. Lilith could only give a growl when she roared in the air calling two demonic stone titans to crash to the ground. Death got in to his defensive stance and readied for another fight. "Fine your funeral." Death warned as he charged the two titans.
"We've made it Twilight, after this I might throw a 'save the town' party when we're done." Pinkie said hopping around the bell as they made it to the top of the tower.
"Alright we know what to do." Twilight said as all three of the got into a bucking stance ready to kick the bell but a demon burst through knocking Applejack in a bale of hay and kicked Pinkie in to the wall.
"I'm sorry my liitle ponies but I can't allow you to the ring that bell." it said
"Just watch me!" screamed twilight as she charged the demon with her horn glowed. She instantly teleported behind him when he brought his axe down and she shot him square in the back. The demon spun around and tried to swing again at Twilight but she jumped in his face and bucked him as hard she could that he fell backwards and a pitch fork went right through the back of his neck. The demon yelled in pain as he tried to get the pitch fork out but tripped and went out the way he came in and plummeted to his death. Twilight quickly helped Applejack and Pinkie to their feet.
"Are you guys ok?" Twilight asked with concerned look in her eye.
"We're fine Twi." Apple jack said.
"Yeah let’s send these weenies packing." said Pinkie already in a bucking position aiming for the bell. Twilight simply nodded as they all got in to position,
Death had just killed one of the titans by slicing of his head and now had his giant hammer and crushed the remaining titan underneath it.
"Alright Lillith time two....aaaaaah!" screamed death as a bolt of red energy hit his chest and sent him flying towards the wall. Lillith slowly walked up and placed her sword by Death's neck about to strike the final blow.
"It's ashamed horseman I was quite fond of you." Lillith flirted but only got a spat in return from Death. " I will enjoy feasting on your carcass." Lillith whispered as she raised her sword only to drop it as she screamed in pain. What was causing all of these pains in her head and why was she getting dizzy?. She then saw the six mares walking from the bell tower as it was still ringing. Lillith looked around and saw the other demons holding their ears in pain. That's when she felt a punch in her face and was sent ten feet before crashing in the ground.
"Damn you all!" she spat out, "Crowfather would see you all burn in HELL!!! Demons retreat back to regroup!" yelled Lillith as she flew off with every demon alive to follow her. The ponies of Appleloosa cheered for the Mane 6 and Death for help saving their town. The Mane 6 couldn't help but smile bur Deat just simply walked slowly to the carriage and sat down waiting to leave. The six ponies noticed this and walked over to see what was wrong.
"Death, darling what seems to be the matter we won." said Rarity confusingly
"Nothing" Death lied as he turned around but not fooling Applejack.
"Death there is no need fer yer lyin' what is it that yer not tellin' us?" Applejack said sternly
"It is about Cadence" after those words the six ponies became silence and could only here the celebrating of ponies in the background. They were like this for about five minutes until Twilight broke the silence.
"W-w-what about Cadence?" said Twilight as she was on the urge of tears.
"You know how I killed her and said that I can't bring her back?" said Death quietly
"Yeah how could we forget?!" yelled Rainbow as she flew up in his mask.
"What I said is not entirely true." said Death
"What do you mean?" asked Fluttershy already sobbing. All six of the ponies went into shock n what he said next..............................
The six ponies could only just stand at in front of Death with shocked faces an tears in their eyes. Could Death be teling the truth can he really bring back Cadence? Did he just say that just to get on their good side? The main six especially Twilight did not know what to do or say hearing the news from Death. They stood there in tears of joy and confusion until Twilight finally got a hold of her self and broke the silence.
" Come on Death it's not nice to joke a-a-about that." said Twilight trying to hold back the tears again.
" Twilight, I am sorry" said Death as he knelt done to fix his gaze in to Twilight's eyes full of tears, " but I am afraid I don't joke."
" If you knew you could bring her back why didn't you do it back at the castle?"
"Because......." Death was in a stump. He never felt this attatched to any kind of being except for his two brothers and sister, he was slapping himself mentally as the words finally forced out of his mouth,"we werent friends before."
The Mane six's tears suddenly stopped as they looked at Death with agape looks on their faces. Did Death just say what they thought he said? That they were friends, or was he just taking advantage of them just because they were him free his brother and stop Crowfather and Lillith.
"I am sorry sugrcube, did you just say we were friends?" said Applejack raising her eyebrow
"Yeah I thought you were all big and bad tough guy" Rainbow said glaring daggers at Death
"Why are you calling us friends silly willy, I know were friends but I don't know about the rest." said Pinkie appearing behind Death's shoulder.
Death instantly looked shocked these beings really did trust him like he trusted them looking in his memories about the things he has done in the past.
"I didn't expect you guys too accept my friendship just like that." Death said curiously
"What are you saying darling, we have been friends ever since we saw your memories in that orb." said Rarity, Death simply faced Rarity and stroked her purple mane, giving Rarity a slight blush. "Thank you Rarity,for your kind words and I accept the friendship you six have given me, but what of the other ones back in your civilization." said Deathstanding back up and walking to the carriage while the rest of the mane six climbed in with him . Rainbow simply went to his side and put her hoof on his shoulder as he looked in to her magenta eyes.
"Don't worry dude, I bet Ponyville wouldn't even care about you since your with us."
"Maybe your right equine."
"That's the spirit."
Ponyville
The carriage finally landed in Ponyville where Death stepped out and looked around noticing that the town was desserted, even on the flight here he didn't see a single pegasus flying in the sky. The six stepped out after him noticing the empty town as well. "Where is everyone?" asked Twilight raaising an eyebrow.
"They won't care?" asked Death sarcasticly eyeing Rainbow as she smiled in embarressment,
"Maybe it's a surprise party?!" screamed Pinkie as they waited for about a couple of minutes until she broke the silence, "Nope no party!"
"Forget it Pinkie the equines here will never aceppt after what I had done to Cadence." said Death as he felt Fluttershy by his like a cat.
"Don't worry Death, we trust you but if...um....you want other ponies to trust you, you have to do something kind for them." said Fluttershy . Death simply smiled under his mask, when he then saw a navy blue light from the sky to see the other blue alicorn from the castle with Celestia."She is quite right Death you must do something for my subjects if you want support from them." said the blue alicorn as she landed in front of the group."Princess Luna, what are you doing here?" asked Twilight rushing up to her. "I was called by Tia' to help out our guest with his reputation here in Equestria." said Luna as she walked around Death."No disrespect princess but, how are ya' goin' to do that?" asked Applejack as she furowwed a brow."It is quite simple Applejack, that I don't even need to do anything, by the way a sense a dragon coming here, so I think by him defeating it, he wil automatically gain the trust of our subjects." said Luna.
"DRAGON!!!" the six screamed in unison as Death only looked ore confused.
"What is a dragon?" he asked
"A dragon is one of the most powerful and dangerous creatures in Equestria and known for their bat like wings on their back, their scales that are so tough not even the most powerful of spells could penetrate it, and the fact that they breath......"
"ROOOOOOOAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!'"
The eight quickly turned to see a dragon hovering above them. The mane six took defensive stances while Fluttershy hid behind a nearby cart. The ponies were about to charge only to be stopped by Luna."Do not interfere my little ponies, this test is for Death and for Death alone. Death simply nodded as he walked to the dragon as it landed with a thunderish sound.
"What kind of creature is this? Tell me who you are before I end your life!"the dragon asked in a booming voice.
"I am Death, the second rider of the four horsemen, and you will regret threatning me beast!" Death snapped back as he got in his defensive stance with his sythes.
"So be it!!!"said the dragon charging Death. The dragon suddenly stopped in front of Death and sent a blast of flames from his mouth sening Death flying and hit the side of the building. The mane 6(except Fluttershy) tried to rush in and help thier friend, only to be stopped by Luna.
"No my friends, Death must do this alone." Luna said as the ponies started to step back and continuing observing the fight. Death slowly got to his feet as he got in to his defensive stance once again. The dragon was some what impessed that Death had survived his attack and is getting back up like it was nothing.
"I have to admt creature you are stronger than I thought but eiher way you will have a slow and painful death." said the dragon as he charged again. "We'll see about that" said Death as he morphed his sythes in to his hammer as he slammed it on the dragon's jaw. The dragon tumbled across the ground and hit a nearby building. Death than morphed his hammer into his to his two sythes and leaped to end the beast only to get smacked away by it's tail and to be grabbed by the beast's claw and got slammed in to the ground. The dragon then began to erupt flames from his mouth but due to Death's quick reflexes he stabbed the dragons hand releasing his grip and dropping Death. The dragon roared in pain and clutching his bloodied hand as the citizens of Ponyville slowly crept out thier hiding spaces and were awestruck to see the murderer of one of thier princesses protecting them from the dragon menace. The crowd of ponies then started to cheer as Death took on the dragon.
"Seems like the ponies of Ponyville are starting to trust Death, princess." said Twilight with a huge grin on her face.
"Yeah do you see how he is handling that ruffian " said Rarity.
The ponies continued to watch in awe as the two fought it slicing, kicking , punching and dodging until Death thought it was time to end it. The dragon tried o squash Death under his feet but Death simply dodged every strike he could throw at him. Death then morphed bissythes and made his double bladed staff and leaped on the back of the dragon slicing of both of its wings.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH" roard the dragon in pain as Death leaped from his back and landed in front of the dragon and put his sithes away.
"I am giving you one chance to walk out of here with the rest of your limbs so I reccomend you leave this town and not bother these equines again." Death said in a coldly voice.
"You think you have the upper hand rider of death but you are farly mistaken. Lillith and Crowfather has a new ally and will make you suffer while you watch this world burn to nothing but ash!" sreamed the dragon.
"Too bad you won't be around to see it!" exclaimed Death as purple smoke surrounded his body and a purple light that blinded everypony in town. When the light went away Death was transformed in to a hooded figure with heavy robes, skeletal like gaunlets, bony wings, anda massive sythe with engraved skulls on it. The ponies all gasped at what they saw but Luna and Twilight was more surprised because they could sense the power he possesse. The dagon had a hated look on his face but in his eyes Death could only see fear and he liked it. Gripping his Sythe he rushed to the dragoncutting of both of his arms and impaling the dragon in the back of his neck until the dragon stopped moving and lied there dead in the center of town. Purple smoke began to surround Death again as he took his normal form and fell to his knees panting. He slowly got to his feet as the citizens of ponyville cheered his name and stared gathering around him.
"Seems like I finally gained the trust of the equines." said Death as he watched seven familiar ponies walk up to him.
"WOW! Death that dragon was like roar and you were like haaaa! and I was like cool and everyone else was like...." Pinkie then had a hoof over her mouth.
"What she is trying to say his thanks for taking care of the dragon and earning the trust of the citizens of Equestria." said Twilight
"um mister death..... i was just wondering.......if you know how to bring cadence back...if you don't mind telling us." said Fluttershy hiding behind her mane.
"Of course first I need the heart of a furocius beast," said Death as he walked over to the fallen dragon and putting his hand threw it's chest and taking out its heart,"check, all I need is the flower of souls and the blood of disharmony. I suggest we go get the flower first.." explained Death putting the heart in his pouch.
"Well that doesn't seem so hard." said Applejack
"I agree with AJ all we have to do is pick a simple flower." boasted Rainbow
"Don't get to cocky Rainbow there could be dangers along the way." said Luna
"The princess is right demons probally know what we are up to and wil probably try to stop us and who knows they are probably watching us right now." said Twilight.
"Twilight is right if you want your friend back we must leave now." Death said as he walked inside the carriage the ponies simply nodded and followed but stopped to see Luna not following. "Luna darling are you not coming?" said Rarity with concern." I am sorry dear Rarity but I can't . If these so called Demons are a threat I have to stay and help Celestia watch over the land from further attacks." said Luna with a straight voice.
"Alright princess we will come back once we have Cadence."Said Twilight as the rest of the mares boarded the carriage with Death.
"Good luck Princess Twilight and be safe." replied Luna. Twilight then nodded and went inside the carriage as Fluttershy and Rainbow flew off pulling it behind them.
"So Death where do we find this flower of souls?" asked Aj raising an eyebrow
"Keep heading west until we hit a wasteland then keep going straight until we hit a mountain that looks like a termite hill." said Death as the mane 6 gave him terrified looks,"What?" he simply asked.
"Nothing it's just that the place we are going to belongs to an insect like queen that onced tried to take over Equestria." said Twilight sternly
"What is her name?"
"queen Chrisalys."
Badlands
"So why have you led us here?" asked Crowfather walking next to Lillitha and a mysterious being.
"This is where the man so called Death will come and where I will have ny revenge on Princess Twlight." said the mysterious being.
"Well at leat he gets the job done crowfather." said Lillith mocking Crowfather. "Well at leats I didn't let them get away over some damn bell!" Crowfather roared back.
The mysterious being stomped his hoof on the ground making the land shake and grabbing their necks."I had enough of your bickering so for now on I will be taking command and if you defy my I wil certainy send both of you to Tartarus to rot for eternity! But for now send some of your demons here to retrieve the flower of souls." the two fell silent .
"DO I make myself clear?" said the mysterious being. Crowfather and Lillith was dropped to thier knees and looked up.
"Yes Lord Tirek" They both said as the three dissapered leaving a squad of demons flying towards the castle of the changelings for the flower of souls and lunch.
The carriage the seven were travelling in cruised through the clouds as it was making it's course to the Chrysalis' fortress in the badlands. Death was simply gettting bored with the ride and felt like he was going to explode if he didn't kill something soon. He simply looked around the carriage to observe the others, Rainbow was kind of bored too, Fluttershy was sleeping, Rarity was knitting some kind of fabric, Applejack was observing her hat and lasso, Pinkie was doing whatever the hell Pinkie does, and Twilight just stared out the window as the clouds passed by.
"Can't these gaurds go any faster?!" groaned Rainbow as she broke the silence.
"For once I agree with the rainbow one. I thought these gaurds was the fastest of your army?" said Death
"I'm sorry princess the gaurds are just tired for flying for a couple of hours." explained Twilight with a nervous grin.
"Yeah surgarcube, not everypony is fit to fly this long." said Applejack putting her hat bqck on her head.
"By the way darling, it is just two gaurds how do you possibly think inyour case they couldfly from Appleloosa to the Badlands in just a few minutes." said Rarity raising an eyebrow.
Death just groaned in defeat, then an idea popped in his head. He stood up in the carriage and spread his arms as a green aura surronded his gaunlets. This woke Fluttershy from her peaceful slumber only to look at Death with fear and concern. "um....mister death what are you doing?" asked Fluttershy as she backed away slowly from him. The rest of the five then focused on Death to have the smae result of emotions like Fluttershy. Death then gazed over to Fluttershy to answer her questions.
"Calling a few friends to help us move this god foresaken thing faster." said Death as two mini portals appeared beside the airborne carriage and dozens of crows flew out attatching themselves to the carriage pulling it and increasing the speed 10x. Rarity was screaming at the top of her lungs for the discusting vermin to let go of their beautiful carriage. Suddenly the crows flew off the carriage and returned to the two mini portals. The mane six and the two gaurds were trying not to loose thier lunch after the ridethey had experienced, except for Pinkie.
"WHOOOOA!!!! Can we do that again Death that was so much fun. Can we? Can we? Can we?" said Pinkie with pleading eyes.
"It is going hav to wait Pinkie because Chryaliss' Palace is just ahe-oh no." said Twilight as the ponies and Death saw smoke coming frm the palace and seeing demons and changlings, who were getting obliterated, battling it out. Death than gripped on to his sythes gettting ready for another battle.
"Seems that Lillith has beaten us here." said Death
The demons were tearing apart the changlings as they were trying thier hardest to protect thier queen. A lead demon with spiky black and red armor with a scar on his left eye was wathching the chaos with a mischievous grin.
"HAHAHAHA! Perfect soon my forces will storm this pathetic termite hill and terminate this so called queen along with that damn flower." said the demon commander while stomping on a wounded changling and killing it instantly.Everything was going as planned until he saw one of his demon pawns come up to him bowing with a worried look on his face.
"What is it you want so badly that you have to leave the battle to see me private?" asked the commander with a angered tone.
"Commander, scouts have reported that Death is coming for the flower and is closing in with two gaurd ponies and the six females that interrupted our plans in that one town." said the private. The commander then looked up in the sky to see a golden chariot flying torwards the palace.
"Private!" screamed the commander with anger and fear, "I want that thing out of the sky! We can't have Death reach the flower!"
"I'll send my best three demons." as he said that three demons took off to pursue Death in the sky.
"Princess we are going to ask you and the rest of your friends to take cover!" yelled one of the gaurds as they approached closer to the palace.
"Why!? I'll show those busters who's boss their not so scary!" argued Rainbow
"Element of loyalty get ba....AHHHHHH!" screamed the guard as one of the three demons grabbed him squeezing the life out of him. The other demons impaled the other guard with his axe while the third one went for the six. Twilight jumped in front of friends and charged up her horn and blasted it through the air only for it to catch it balance and fly back. The demon that was holding the guard tore him in half and the demon that impaled the other guard aided him. Twilight's horn then faded away out of fear as she backed up with her friends. The three demons all rose thier axes for the final blow when one thought came in to her mind, 'Where is Death?', as she said thata sythe went straight through one of the demons chest. The other two turned around only for one of them to get his head decapitated and the other to get it's wings chopped off and getting punched of the carriage and falling to his Death. The mane six finally sighed in relief except for Twilight who was in fury.
"WHERE WERE YOU!!!!" screamed Twilight
"Watching the show," said Death with a light chuckle "and I got to say you guys need to work on your technique."
"WHAT!" now the mane 6 except for Fluttershy were angry.
"Surgar cube you realized we could've died!"
"um....excuse me."
"Also darling, that thing got blood all over my beautiful coat!"
"uh...hello we are going to smash in the Palace." The others were too busy bickering to even notice Fluttershy until Pinkie started to scream gainng their attention.
"Pinkie why are you screaming?!" Twilight exclaimed
"Cause you guys are so busy fighting you guys never noticed that nopony is flying the carriage silly billy!" said Pinkie pointing to the empty harnesses and the Palace only seconds away from the carriage colliding with it.
"Oh shi.." was all Death could say as the carriage crashed through the dirt wall of the Palace and crashing in a room sending the six flying acrosss the room. They all grunted in pain as they all wobbled to stand up only for Rarity to fall back down.
"Yo Rares, you alright?" said Rainbow with concern, but Rarity's eyes were in tears as she noticed that she sprained her ankle. Death knelt down by Rarity and stroked her mane for comfort.
"We must split up." Death said as he stood back up.
"You are on a roll with yer plans aren't ya surgercuber," said Applejack sarcasticlly, 'But we are not leaving without Rarity here."
"Then she will only slow us down we must find that flower before the demons do." Twilight then walked beside Death
"I hate to admit it but Death is right we have to split up. You, me, and Rainbow will go with Death while Fluttershy and Pinkie will stay with rarity and make sure she is alright. Don't worry we will eet back here whenwe find the flower." they all nodded as the agreed with Twilight's plan.
"Wait before we take our leave take this." said Death as he reached in his pouch pulling out a pistol and handed it to fluttershy<" don't lose this it belongs to one of my brothers and I will return it soon, but when something happens while we're gone pull tis trigger to shoot, Understand?" Death said in a stern voice.
"Yes mister Death." squeeked Fluttershy as she examined the weapon before her.
Death, Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow DAsh walked out the room and Twilight used her magic to seal it. The four could still hear the battle going on outside unil they heard a bang come from down the hall.
"What the hay was that?" asked Rainbow as a changeling was thown in frony of them and a couple demons walking through the mist.
"Look it's Death and those ponies" one of them hissed, "think we'll get rewarded if we bring back thier heads?" the other just nodded ad took out his axe and the both charged only to get both cut in half by the aist and fall to the gorund. Death put his sythes away as he saw the three ponies trying not to lose their lunch watching the bodie on the floor.
"Coming" said Death as the ponies followed him down the hallway, it was quiet fora few moments as the four walked up stairs and turned hallways until Twilight broke the silence.
"Death was it real neccessary for you to handle thwem like that." said Twilight
"No why ask?" asked Death
"It's just that they didn't need die that way or die at all"
"hehehe yoou don't understand do you demons are killing machines and nischiebious beings who would try to make pointless deals for the souls to harvest." Death then stopped in front of two large doors with green slime on them.
"Gwt ready ponies, we're here" said Death as Twilight horn started to glow, Applejack pulled out her lassoe fro under her hat, and Rainbow stretching her wings. Death took out his sythes and morphed them in to his hammer and busted down the dorr with a huge BANG!!!!
Fluttershy and Pinkie were sitting by Rarity as she was sleeping on a piece of debris from the broken carriage.
"I hope they bring me something back, maybe they might even find a new friend, or find a cupcake lying around."
"uh pinkie why would there be a cupceke?" asked Fluttershy
"Shhh....you hear that." They were both silent until they hear rustling in the walls and to see a changeling emerging out coming torwards them, Pinkie quickly grabbed the weapon and pointed at him.
"Ok how do you work this thing....oh GO I... BANG" said Pinkie as the pistol blasted the changeling making it explode in green slime.
"nice shaot pinkie that was close, now if you don't mind, don't do it again." said Fluttershy as Rarity started to slowly open her eyes from her nap.
"Rarity, how was tour nap did dream about cupcakes and if you did can you bring me one, I am soooooo hungry" said Pinkie as Rarity lifted an eyebrow.
"I'm fine Pinkie but we have bugger problems than cupcakes, like my mane lokk how dirty it is! Also...AHHHH!" screamed Rarity as she saw more changelings come through the walls. "What are you doing give me that" screamed Rarity as she used her magic to take the pistol from Pinkie and started to shoot. Pinkie then joined her by pulling out her party cannon, while Fluttershy hid in the damaged carriage.
"I want to go home!" cried Fluttershy
BAAAANG!!!!! Went the dirt door as Death walked with his hammer with the four ponies behind him to see a female changeling with a long black horn and blue bug like wings.
"Chrysalis!" the three ponies said
"Well if it isn't the little brats, what do you want if you haven't noticed I have a war going on outside my palace." said Chrysalis with discust. Death becoming impatient pulled out his sythes and leaped on top of Chrysalis pinning her to her throne with his sythes, Twilight and the others could only gasp of how fast Death moved.
"I don't hae time for friendly greetings, now bug where's the flower." said Death in anger
"And here I thought we were going to get busy." said Chrysalis sexually
"The Flower!" growled Death moving his sythe closer to Chrysalis' neck losing his patience.
"You dare threaten me creature you have made the biggest mistake of your life!" screamed Chrysalis as she blasted Death off her in to a wall." and for you three! Changelings! Take them!" Yelled Chrysalis as a hoard of changelings started coming through the walls.
"Get ready girls." said Twilight getting in a defensive stance
"Ya got it Twi"
"Yeah let's bust some hooves" Soon a blast came from a wall which the ponies assumed it was Death but it was the Demon cmander with his sqaud of demons behind him.
"So you are the bug that has flower. Demons! Take care of the ponies and these bugs the queen is mine!" he said as he leaped torwards Chrysalis . Twilight then blasted changelings and demons back, Applejack bucking changelings and tieing up demons, and Rainbow controlling the air knocking changeling and demon alike out of the air. The commander knocked Chrysalis to the wall as he walked over her and raised his foot only to get knocked away by Death.
"Step back Commander she's mine" said Death in his defensive stance
"Really then I will have fun juggling both of your heads!" he said as he brought down his mace causing both Death and Chrysalis to dodge out the way. Chrysalis then blasted the commander back only to get tackled by Deah after and him throwing her on the ground. The commander then charged and slammed Death with his mace and turned to Chrysalis and grabbed her by the throat.
"So you liitle spider time for me to exterminate." said the commander as he stabbed her gut with his mace as Chrysalis gasped and and fel to the ground.
"Oh no Chrysalis!" screamed Twilight alerting the changelings who quickly saw thier dying queen and retreated out the room with the demons following.
"Pathetic" said the commander as he waked to Chrysalis' weak body and raised his foot again only to get it cut off by Death who was standing behind him. The commander roared in pain as he fell on his back. "Would you ponies like the pleasure." said Death. the three nodded as twilight lifted him with his magic and Applejack bucking sending him torwards Rainbow and her catchinhing him and spinning him around and tossed him out the window and was silenced.
"Chrysalis are you alright" said Twilight with worry as Chrysalis coughed up green blood.
"Twilight avenge me and destroy these creatures, here take the flower and revive Cadence." said Chrysalis as the flower grew out of her chest and handing it to Twilight.
"Wait how did you know we were goin-"
"Please I have spies all over Equestria I mostly know everything." Chrysalis then took her last breath.
Twilight had tears in her eyes from the fallen queen. She wasn't all evil she was just trying to protect her hive. Applejack and Rainbow then went ot comfort Twilight as Death knelt by Chrysalis and picked the flower out her chest.
"Now all we need is the blood of disharmony, come one we need to get back to the others." said Death as Twilight wiped away her tears and followed Death and her friends back to the carriage.
"It's fine Twilight the bug is in a better place." said Death as they walked to the dor of the room Twilight had sealed
"Thank you Death" said Twilight with teary eyes wrapping Death in an embrace. Death then coughed breaking the embrace, "Right lets hed inside," Twilight nodded and unsealed the door as they walked in to see changelingslaied accross the floor.
"Girls!" screamed Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Rarity as they all wrapped in an embrace.
"What happened here?!" asked Rainbow
"Well the changeling came so we had a fight pary! It was sooo much fun you dhould have been there Dashie!" said Pinkie
"Darlings did you guys find the flower?" asked Rarity, Death then pulled the flower out his pocket
"Right here , now all we need is the blood of Dis...." all of a suddened the flower dissappeared in a white flash.
"What the hell! What sourcery is this!" yelled Death
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The seven looked around the room to find out where the laugh was coming from, then to see another flash of white light to reveal a creature that looked like a frankenstien of different animals.
"Hello Fluttershy, oh and the rest and other."
The mane six except for Fluttershy creamed a name which made even Death to look in surprise."DISCORD!"
It was dark and smelly just like the dead, just how Lillith liked it. Her, Crowfather, and their master, Lord Tirek, and a whole bunch of others demons retreated back t the cave hoping for a successful report on obtaining the flower. The demons would go and hunt wildlife or just patroll arpound the cave to make sure no intruders were around. Lillith would be seductive with her body and caress her wings, Crowfather would sit around and meditate for hours to come while Tirek would just stand out =side for who knows how long, and just stare of into the distance.
They were all doing the same thing for days until part of the demons that was in the changeling invasion returned to give their leaders 'the news' on their progress on retrieving the flower. They simply flew to the cave and walked nervously to Tirek, who had his back facing them.
"So," said Tirek causing the demons to jump, "how was your progress and do you have my flower." The demons now were terrified not even Lillith herself gave them this much fear.
"W-We managed to kill their q-queen and are hunting down the rest as we sp-speak." stuttered one of the demons.
"That is....reliable, but it still doesn't answer if you brought me the flower or not. Since that was your main objective."
"Y-yes my Lord"said the Demon as he swallowed, "We have failed to get the flower and is now in the hands of Death and the six ponies."
"WHAT!!!!" boomed Tirek as the demons all started to bow and beg for mercy. "Lillith, Crowfather!!!!!".
Lillith and Crowfather soon appeared in front of their master and now had worried look on their faces.
"What is it, all-powerful lord Tir-"
"Save your petty copliments spirit!" interrupted Tirek
"My apologies."
"You two, why was i not told that those six little brats are with Death!" Lillith then bowed and was the next to speak.
"We did not think they were a threat my Lord"
"And for you not thinking the six that can stop our plans is walking around out there doing who knows what to the FLOWER!!!!"
"Please forgive us my Lord."
"You are lucky I am quite merciful but if you fail me again," Tirek then grabbed a demon by the neck and held him in front of Lillith and Crowfather, "then this will be you" the demon then started to scream in pain as his skin started to burn off and his eyes started to melt until there was nothing but bone and his esscence was asorbed by Tirek.
"Yes my Lord." said Crowfather and Lillith as they watched Tirek walk deeper in the cave.
Outside of Chrysalis' Palace
"What or who is this Discord?" Death asked cocking his head to the side. Twilight then turned her gaze from Discord to Death.
"Discord is a spirit of disharmony and chaos, he used to be evil, but thanks to Fluttershy he is reformed-"
"And now he is just annoying!" interrupted Rainbow. Death eyes suddendly went open when they mentioned that he was the spirit of chaos and disharmony. He took out his Sythes and slowy advanced torwards Discord who just gave him a mischievious grin as he snapped his fingers and had two anchors chained to Death's feet causing him to stop.
"Now, now, is that any way to introduce yourself." said Discord as Death threw his sythe only for it to pass through him and hit the wall behind him.
"Death!! That is no way to treat Discord!! He has done nothing wrong!!." snapped Fluttershy staring at Death, "Now say your sorry." Death then started to tremble, 'What is wrong with me? Am I actually afraid?' thought Death as he tried to fight the power of Fluttershy's 'Stare'. Death finally gave in and turned to Discord sitting in a royal chair drinking a glass of milk.
"I am sorry." the six ponies all had smile on their faces, "But I have to kill you." Their expressions then dropped immediately as AppleJack then ran up in between Discord and Death.
"Whoa there nelly, why do that? Yea' discord here can be a pain, but that doesn't give ya the right ta' kill him!" protested Applejack
"I agree with AppleJack not only is that uncivilized, but also uncalled for." said Rarity
Death then growled causing the ponies to step back as he raised his hand causing his sythe in the wall on the other side of the room to come in to his hand and used it to cut the chains at his feet.
"Hold on Death!! There has to be another way maybe we can-"
"There is no time!" Death snapped as Twilight went silent, "If you recall I need the blood of chaos and disharmony to revive your friend!" Twilight was about to say somethiing back but fell silent as she let Death pass.
"Hold on bus-" said Rainbow flying in front of him but only to get slapped to the ground and to continue to advance torwards Discord.
"Dashie are you ok? Here have a cupcake." said Pinki hoping next to her friend sticking a cupcake in her face.
"I'm fine Pinkie, but I don't want to eat a cupcake right now."
"But you gotta! I've been saving it ever since we left Ponyville." Rainbow Dash then wobbled to her feat with her side aching from the blow.
"Maybe later Pinkie." she said as she glanced at Death who stopped in front of Fluttershy with tears in her eyes.
"P-p-please don't kill him. I am his only f-f-friend and he has no one e-e-else. There has t-to be another w-w-way." sobbed Fluttershy as Death knelt down and rubbed her mane back.
"I am sorry, yellow one," Death said solemly, "But there is no other way." He then picked up Fluttershy and set her behind him with her still sobbing in her hooves.
"Do you really have time to do this?" asked Discord sitting up from his floating chair, "Cause' I got to be somewhere before six o'clock." said Discord as a clock appeared over his shoulder. Death simply unsheathed his sythes and got into his offensive stance.
"Too bad, you won't be able to make it." snapped Death
"Do you really think you can take on chaos let alone kill it."
"Death comes to all in the end and your time has come."
"Fool!! Without me there won't be any balance between harmony and mayhem."
"I'll get a replacement," said Death with a chuckle. This sent Discoed over the ege as his face turned red and steam came out of his ears and nostrils.
"You dare challenge the spirit of chaos!!!" boomed Discord as dark clouds began to swirl in the sky, "Then come and let's settle this!"
Lightning flashed in the sky as the two stared at eachother. the mane 6 fled behind a piece of debris from the palace and watched the scene with worried looks for both Death and Discord. A rock then hit the ground which caused Death to strike first. He swung his sythes aiming for Discord's head but only hit air, he then quickly turned around to get blasted back from a lightning bolt coming from Discord's paw. Death clutched his chest and charged again but this time sliding under Discord, grabbing his tail in the proccess and slaming him in to the ground. Discord then got up and snapped his fingers and summoned a giant fly swatter and smacked Death in to the ground.
"HAHAHAHA!!!!! Like I said you can't beat chaos!" laughed Discord as the mane 6 now lookede worried for Death's condition.
"Death give up!! He's not worth it!!" screamed Twilight
"Yeah he is flinging you around like a rag doll!!" screamed Pinkie as Death was literally geting flung around like a rag doll by Discord's magic and being flung back in the ground leaving a small crater.
"That's it!!!" screamed Death as he was covered with black cuts and bruises and morphed his sythes in to his hammer and advanced torwards Discord. He swung his hammer hitting the side of Discord's jaw sending him flying, Death then with his amazing speed ran past Discord before impact and slammed it on his head to end him once and for all, but he only turned in to smoke.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You really think I can be killed with a toy like that!!" laughed Discord as he was no where to be seen.
"Show yourself!!!"
"As you wish, mother." but not only Discord showed up but ten disord's showed up surrounding Death. Death then morphed his hammer into his double-bladed shaft and stabbed the first Discord he saw only turning it into green smoke. He did the same thing until there were only three left.
"I grow tired of this game!" shouted Death as he slammed his hammer in the ground creating a shock wave knocking the two Discord's into dust revealing the real one as the mane 6 braced for cover as dirt and debris went over them. Discord stood there without a scatch on him while Death looked like hell. His hair was tangled, he had bruises and cuts every where, dripping black blood, and a crack in his mask.
"Let's say we start the big finale!!!!" said Discord as he grabbed Death and Lifted him up in the air. The mane 6 ran from there hiding place to see where Discord was taking him.
"Discord bring him back!!! You made your point!!!" screamed Fluttershy with tears, but he was already to high up for them to hear. Just then Discord started to descend whille carrying Death and released him turning him in to a bipedal meteor.
"Everypony hit the deck!!" screamed Rainbow as they all hid back behind the rock. Death collided with the ground causing a huge explosion of flames and dust.
Discord slowly descended down inn the crater and looked over the limp body of Death not moving a single inch. he then looked up to six above the crater with tears in their eyes filled with tears. Discord then followed there gaze for they were not looking at him but the beaten and broken Death.
Twilight and her firends all came down the crater and passed Discord as he was trying to apologize, but they went to there fallen new friend. Pinkie's hair was deflated as Twilight wrapped her hooves around Death's neck giving him a loving embrace.
"C-come on Twilight let's go, he's g-gone." said AppleJack putting a hoof on Twilight's shoulder.
"Twilight look!!!" screamed Rarity as Twilight back peddled from Death as his body was engulfed in a purple light and cloud of smoke. Discord then teleported himself in between Twilight and the violet light. Discord looked closer in to the light as a clawed gauntlet wrapped around his neck and threw him causing him to skid across the ground.
Twilight and her friends were filled with fear and somewhat happiness to what they saw emerge from the light. It stood about seven feet tall, had a with a night blue cloak, bony wings, a great sythe with skulls imbedded in to it and in his hood is not a face but pure darkness ike a black hole or dark void. This was truly Death.
Discord stood back up and was filled with horror as the being was right in his face and uppercuttted him in the air. Disord then recovered but only to get hit back to the gorund with hte blunt end of the Great Sythe. Death slowly glided down with his wings and picked up Discord by the neck and pinned him to the wall. Twilight and her friends climbed out of the crater to see Death holding up Discord against the wall. They were all screaming at him to stop but it was no use for Death only ignored their pleas and spoke in a soft whisper that made Discord and the six feel cold from head to bottom as chills ran down their spines.
"I am the end, I am everywhere, I am fire, I am......Death." Death said raising his sythe to deliver a final blow when it stopped to feel something tugging at his cloak. He looked down to see Fluttershy with tear stained eyes, he cocked his head like a confused dog and looked at Discord with a broken nose and black eye. Death now knew why she was crying. Violet mist began seeping from his body until he was returned to his regular form competely healed and uncracked mask, he dropped Discord to his knees and pulled out a small container and knelt by Discord and drew the blood from his nose and in to the cup. He then put the small cup in his pouch and helped Discord to his feet.
"I made a promise not to kill you," said Death as Discord healed himself with just a snap of his fingers," and I intend to keep that promise."
"Your not that bad," said Discord giving him a piece of paper, "Give me a call when you want any chaos, buddy." Discord then snapped his fingers and was gone in a flash of light.
"What just happ-" Death didn't finish as Fluttershy tackled him giving him the biggest bear hug of his life.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" whispered Fluttershy in Death's ear as he she got off of him.
"That's Fluttershy for ya" said Applejackl "So since we have all three items does this mean?" Twilight then stepped up.
"Yes Applejack, we can finally bring back Cadence." said Twilight with tears resurfacing in her eyes.
Death laid out the ritual in the middle of the desert to bring back the mane 6's fallen friend Cadence. The ritual was simply the dragon's heart, with the flower of life sticking out of it, and drenched in Discord's blood with candles around it. I can't believe I am doing this, thought Death. He turned to fix a gaze on the ponies who had a look of determination on their faces, even the pink one.
"Alright little ones it's done." said Death getting the attention of Twilight and her friends.
"Umm...Death."
"Yes"
"After we bring back Cadence, she might be kind of angry." Death could only cross his arms and tilt his head in confusion.
"And why would you say that."
"Cause ya' did go on an' decapitate her, so I think what Twi' here is tryin' to say is that leave the talking to us and let us try to explain everything that has happened." replied Applejack as Death just goaned.
"Death there's no need to get an attiude it is for the best, darling." said Rarity flicking a lock of her mane.
"Yeah Deathy!! It's going to be super duper fun when Cadence gets back, I even made this cake while we were here! OOOH maybe you two can become the bestest of friends!" said Pinkie landing on Death sholuder like a bird and pulling out a cake that said 'Happy your not dead!'.
"Where did you even-?"
"It's best not to question it Death. Pinkie is just.....Pinkie." said Rainbow hovering next to Death.
"Fine if everyone is done chit-chating Iwould like to get this over with." Death said as the ponies nodded and gathered around the ritual. death rose his hands as they started to glow a turqouise green smoke and shoot on the ritual. Twilight and her friends was blinded by the bright light. Death thenput his hand down as the ponies turned to see a small green orb from his chest float to the middle of the circle and take form of an alicorn. When the transformation was complete, therelaid on the ground Princess Cadence The six ponies ran up to her, ignoring Death as he was trying to tell them to stop, trying to wake her up but there was no answer as her body just fell limp.
"Death! Something is wrong! She's not waking up!" said Twilight with concern.
"Maybe because we didn't finish the ritual yet." said Death with sarcasm in his voice as he walked over to Cadence and knelt down and put a clawed glove on her face, making Twilight and the others flush with embarrassment.
"Oh sorry please-what are doing!" saidd Twilight as she saw Death kissing Cadence, making her and the others blush even harder. Death stood back up and readjusted his mask and gave a light chuckle.
"Just watch." The ponies then turned to Cadence to see her chest moving up and down, they were so shocked they were glued to their places. Cadence then started to shift, until she got up and started coughing with a weird taste in her mouth. She turned and saw the six ponies in front of her as she got tackled in a bear hug by the six. their tears stained her pink coat as she nuzzled them back.
"It's good to see you guys again." said Cadence with tears in her eyes.
"Just don' leave us again, ok?" said Twilight.
"That's a promise I'm willing to ke-YOU!" yelled Cadence as she broke the embrace and glared daggers at Death. Death was taken by surprise as he was blasted by a pink beam and was flailing across the ground like a rag doll. "So much for the Princess of Love." said Death as he got up and took out his sythes until Twilight teleported in between the two.
"Please stop! No more fighting, please!" pleaded Twilight. death then sighed and sheathed his sythes as Cadence dimmed her horn with a confused expression.
"Twilight why are you defending this creature after what he did to me?" asked Cadence still glaring at Death.
"Princess, with no disrespect, Death was the one that saved you." squeaked Fluttershy as she got a shocked expression from Cadence.
"He did?"
"um...yes"
"How?"
"We got all these things and brought you back and Death um..." Fluttershy then started to blush as Death gave a light chuckle.
"And what's so funny?" said Cadence now turning her gaze to Death.
"Lets just say 'The Kiss of Death brings life'" said Death making Cadence blush as well realizing what that horrible taste in her mouth was. The ponies were shock to actually see Death laugh.
"Well thank you for that, Death was it?" spat out Cadence, "But if you don't mind filling me in on the details while I was gone."
"Don't worry Cadence we'll explain everything that happened." said Rainbow Dash
"You might want to sit down as well, it is quiet the tale." said Rarity motioning her to sit down. Cadence then looked at Death with an apologetic look.
"I am sorry for my rudeness Death." apologized Cadence as Death just shrugged.
"It is fine Princess, I deserve it for sending you to the underworld." said Death taking a seat next to Cadence.
"Death before they start to explain what happend while I was...gone, what are you like and what is your story?"
Cadence put a hoof onn Death's shoulder and looked in to his eyes. Theywere filled with hate, suffering, and saddness no love or happiness anywhere.
"I am sorry Death for your brother and the race so called 'humans' I wish there was some thing I could do."
"There is no need War is my responsibility and I will do what ever it takes to prove his inoccence." Twilight then walked up to the two and got their attention.
"Cadence," she said in a soft voice. "If you don't mind we will like to explain what has happend while you were gone."
"O-of course," Cadence said, "Fill me in."
"WHAT!!!" screamed Tirek due to a demon telling him that the Princess Cadence has been revived.
"Master I suggest you calm down it is not good for your healt." said Crowfather
"Don't talk to me about calming down my father will be here any minute and not only are those six brats alive, but three alicorns, and Death!" Lillith then walked in to the conversation.
"Hold on master did you say father?"
"Yes I did Lillith and he i-"
"I AM WHAT?."
Tirek then turned around to see a broad winged figure standing by the entrance of the cave. "F-F-Father" said Tirek bowing to his knees.
"That voice." said Crowfather as Lillith began to back away in fear.
"No it can't be there is no way HE is your father!" screamed Lillith as she bowed as the figure loomed over her.
"AREN'T NY SERVENTS SUPPOSED TO BOW BEFORE ME."
Lillith and Crowfather dropped to their knees as well, "Yes, Samael."
"CROWFATHER STAND."
Crowfather stood up trembling in his spirit form as he looked at the devil himself. "Yes surpreme overlord?" he said as he did some kind of courtsey.
"SAVE YOUR COMPLIMENTS i HAVE A GIFT FOR YOU."
"Y-y-y-you do?"
"YES IT IS LIFE, A BODY YOU CAN CONTROL AGAIN, BUT IF YOU DIE IN THIS BODY YOU WILL STAY DEAD. IS THAT CLEAR?"
"Yes Lord Samael." said Crowfather as he is lifted in the air by the Demon Overlords magic and is being transformed in to the form of a mysterious black creature.with a slender like form, long claws for fingers, six green eyes like a spider on a dark,black face, insect like wings, and a glowing crystal in his chest:
Crow father looked at his new form in amazement as he tested out his new powers and combat skills, he then turned to Samael and bowed. "Thank you, my lord for bestowing me the powers of The Watcher." thanked Crowfather.
"JUST DON'T WASTE MY GIFT FOOL! NOW ON TO BUISSNESS, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM YOU KEEP BABBLING ON MY SON." said Samael and motioning the three to rise.
"Death is here, and has found aid from the two sisters, and also the elements." said Tirek as Samael just began to laugh,"Is some thing wrong father."
"HAHAHA YOU THINK THOSE WEAKLINGS CAN DEFEAT ME?"
"Of course not Lord Samael we would never think that." cut in Lillith, "It's just that these ponies think that thier all high and mighty."
"THEN PERHAPS WE SHOULD TEACH THEM WHO REALLY IS IN CHARGE, PERHAPS AT THAT LITTLE PARTY THEY HAVE ONCE A YEAR."
"The Gala.." said Tirek.
"So Overlord what's the plan?" cut in Lillith
"So alll that happened in just a few days?" said Cadence surprisingly as the mane 6 nodded, "Well it seems I have quiet the story to tell at the Gala next week won't I?" Rarity ears shot after hearing the news.
"Wait! The Gala! It's next week!" screamed Rarity.
"Yes weren't you six invited?" said Cadence giving them a confusing look.
"Yeah, it's just that we lost track of time we didn't know it was next week." said Twilight as Death was curious of what they were all yalking about and walked over to the group. "What is this Gala?" said Death as Pinkie appeared in his line of sight.
"You don't know what the Gala is?! It's like the most super-duper-most-funnest-spectacular party of the year! All the important ponies will be there! OOOh which reminds me I need to make a welcome to ponyvile/thanks for saving Cadence party for you!"
"Hmm, I'm not really in to parties." said Death as Rainbow flew next to him.
"C'mon Death don't be a party pooper! You should realy go! Please!" said rainbow as Death watched the seven of the ponies give him to what the humans called 'the puppy dog eyes' .
"Ugh fine! I'll go to this stupid party." surrendered Death the seven ponies smiled, until Applejack started to frown.
"That's really nice an' all about goin' to the Gala but how in the hay are we goin' to get there? Cadence and Twi' are still recoverin'.'" said Applejack.
"Leave that to me." said Death as he smirked under his mask and made a whistle call. A green portal then appeared in the ground as a ghost white stallion appearedfrom it with a firey green mane and tail. It's stucture was zombie like as it was pulling a purple herse with skulls on the sides, spikes on the top and wheels.
"Allow me to introduce you ponies to one of my companions Despair." said Death hopping on the stallions back. The ponies just looked in fear at the heres in front of them.
"Um...Mr.Death do we have to be in the scary carriage." said Fluttershy shakng like no tomorrow.
"I am going to have to agree with Fluttershy, darling. This...'transportation'....is not lady like." said Rarity as Death put his hand on his forehead.
"It's not supposed to be lady-like." said Death.
"I'm afraid Death is right this is the only way to get back home and get to the Gala on time." said Twilight as the rest nodded and stepped inside the herse-like carriage.'ugh it stinks in here!' Death heard Rarity scream from inside.
"You might want to hang on to something." Death chuckled as he kicked the back of Despair motioning him to gallop at full speed. Death could hear the seven ponies in the carriage scream for dear life, which made him chuckle.
The carriage came to a brief stop in Ponyville as ponies around looked in awe. The mane six and Cadence stepped out with their faces green trying not to puke. The ponies looked in silence as they saw Cadence step out followed by Death. Death then looks at the crowd as the crowd stares back.
Silence.
That's how it was for five minutes, then a loud applause roared from the crowed making the eight jump back in surprise as they heard ponies cheer comments in delight of the return of their princess.
"Can you believe the Princess of Love is back!?"
"Maybe that creature brought her back?"
"Can I have his autograph?"
"Does he know anything about humans?"
The eight stood there as camera flashes blinded them. Twilight then noticed a familiar purple dragon making his way through the crowd.
"Twilight!" he yelled as he embraced the purple alicorn.
"Spike, I missed you so much." answered back Twilight as Spike noticed Cadence and his jaw dropped to the floor.
"Twilight? How is Cadence here is she supposed to be....you know."
"You can thank Death for that; he helped us revive Cadence after he found out that he was betrayed by his allies."
"Cool" said Spike as a bright light shone in front of their faces revealing Princess Celestia and Luna with Shining Armor. The gracefully walked up to the group. Cadence was filled with tears now seeing Aunts and husband again, she ran and gave all three of them a loving embrace.
"Cadence how-?"
"Don't worry about it I'm just glad to be back." said Cadence cutting off Shining Armor. The couple walked off as Celestia and Luna approached Death.
"You had something to do with Cadence coming back did you?" asked Luna as Death just nodded.
"Then we thank you for giving back our niece to us and are forever in your debt, if there is anything you want just ask." said Luna as she bows to Death.
"Well something has been on my mind," said Death causing Luna to rise.
"Go ahead."
"Well, I've been told that this Gala is coming up soon, and was wondering if you would accompany me." All the ponies gasped at what Death just asked for. Did he really just ask Princess Luna to be his date at the Gala? Luna took a step back and gave a slight pink hue on her cheeks.
"Do you mind running that by me again?" said Luna in an embarrassing tone causing Death to growl in annoyance.
"I asked if you could accompany me at this 'Gala' so I can get to know this realm better."
"Oh, o-of course, just meet me at the gala next week."
"Agreed." said Death as Celestia and the other ponies look in awe at what just transpired. The three Princesses and Shining Amor say their goodbyes as they leave Ponyville in the chariot to make preparations for the gala. Death watched them leave as he noticed Luna look back at him even from a great distance. Death was then interrupted with Rarity tapping his foot.
"Um excuse me Death what was all that about with the Princess?" she asked with a smirk on her face.
"Just wanted to get to know her better since we haven't been formally introduced."
"Is that why you asked her on a date to the Gala." Death looked dumbfounded, what in oblivion was Rarity talking about.
"If that's what you call it yes I did." Rarity squealed in delight as she grabbed Death's hand and teleported in to her Boutique. Death gave her a glare through his mask that said 'do that again and it will be the last thing you do'. Rarity shrugged off the look and started scavenging through her fabrics.
"What are you doing?" asked Death tilting his head.
"Finding a suitable look for you! For you date with Princess Luna of course! You weren't thinking on wearing those dreadful rags where you." Rarity asked in a hurriedly but excited tone.
"Actually, yes is it a problem."
"Yes you can't please a nice beautiful lady if you can't even dress proper darling." Death didn't respond as he crossed his arms and stood there watching the whit unicorn do her work. Picking fabrics, sewing, knitting, and measuring the perfect suit for Death. Death sat in a meditating position and closed his eyes. He stayed there for about three hours until he heard a familiar unicorn.
"Finished!" sang Rarity causing Death to open his eyes and gawk at the masterpiece before him. Hanging before him is a purple suit with golden spiked shoulder guards and trims, a brown belt with a buckle of what looked like his mask and silk bone-like gloves. Death approached the suit and observed it for a few seconds before turning to Rarity who had the biggest grin on her face.
"Thank you Rarity I appreciate this," said Death causing her to squeal in delight, "but I have one question."
"Ask away, darling." said Rarity.
"What's a date?" said Death tilting his head causing Rarity's smile to disappear and face hoofed. She has a lot of explaining to do.
1 Week Later 'The Night of the Gala'
After a week of the main 6 helping Death get ready for surprisingly his first date ever, let alone his first party. They had to explain to him first what a date actually was and demonstrate it the past week. It took about five days for Death to actually understand what it meant and was shocked to find out that they thought Death was trying to court the Princess Luna, yeah, she was beautiful and that coming from Death is REALLY a compliment, but at the same time he knew not to get in any close relationships for it might mess up the balance. The last two days were fairly easy for Death all he did was try on his new suit and (forced) to rehearse on what to say to Luna on this so called 'date'.
Death erased the thoughts from his head as he and the mane 6 were in a chariot heading for Canterlot. He insisted on talking his but the mane 6 quickly objected not wanting that experience again. Death chuckled to himself at the thought and looked out the window to see the castle coming in to view. The carriage slowly stops as the seven walk out.
"I can't believe were here!" said Twilight with a huge smile.
"Ah' can't believe they let us even come back after what happened last time we came here." joked Applejack.
"So what are we gonna do first! Dance? Sing? Eat? Dance and sing? Sing and dance? Sing and eat? Dance and eat? Or we can do all three!" said Pinkie hopping around the group as they made their way to the entrance.
"I don't know about you guys but I'm going to see that if the wonderbolts are here see ya'." said Rainbow as she zoomed off to find her idols.
"If ya'll don't mind Rares, Flutters, and Pinkie are gonna chow down." said Applejack.
"Alright, me and Death will find Celestia and Luna then." said Twilight giving Death a wink.
"Alrighty then, good luck Death ya'll need it." said Applejack as Death nods and the two groups part ways.
Luna paced back and forth in her courters worried about a certain bipedal creature and their so called 'date'. The press has been talking about the two for the past week. If this 'date' doesn’t go well not only will she be embarrassed but a foreign creature will be humiliated as well. Luna then looked at herself in the mirror of her room, she was in a dark blue dress that sparkled like the night sky with a crescent moon pinned to her chest, as her mane is pulled back into a pony-tail(no pun intended) with a star-like bow. Luna then heard a knock on her door which broke her from her trance. "Who is it?" she asks as Celestia walks in the room closing the door behind her, "Oh it's just you sister."
"It's good to see you too, just came by to see if you were ready for tonight." said Celestia with a smile.
"I don't know."
"What do you mean, dear sister, are you afraid of crowds?"
"No, it's not that, it's about Death." Luna gave a light blush as she turned her head away from Celestia giving a playful smile.
"Oh, I see what's going on, you have feelings for him don't you?" said Celestia.
"W-what, no! I just want to get to know him better, like his personality, heritage, that soothing voice, his perfect body tone, and those gazing eyes- what was I talking about?" said Luna as Celestia kept her playful smile. "Fine, you win 'Tia. Maybe I developed some feelings for him."
"I'm sure he has the same feelings Luna."
"How can you be so sure?"
"I'm not Cadence, but the way he acted around you when we were in Ponyville shows great promise."
"I'm not so sure."
"Luna you are one of the fairest mares in Equestria, there is no way for him not to like you." Luna than wrapped her older sister in to an embrace.
"Thank you Tia." Luna whispered
"It's quite alright, Lulu, come on we have a Gala to attend to." said Celestia as the two Princesses walk out the door not noticing the black mist hiding in the shadows.
Twilight and Death walked down the hallway toward the Princesses rooms. It was quiet the whole way there until Twilight spotted two familiar looking Alicorn in the distance.
"Princess Celestia and Luna!" screamed Twilight as she trotted up to greet them.
"Hello Twilight ready for the night," asked Celestia with a grin.
"You bet! I can't wait to tell you how much I learned!" Death rolled his eyes at Twilight’s nerdy personality and locked gaze with Luna. His eyes widen at the beautiful creature before him, not acting like a fool he remembered what he was taught.
"You look beautiful, Princess." Luna looked away blushing like a storm.
"Thank you. You’re not so bad yourself." Celestia gives Luna a wink as she walks off with Twilight leaving the two behind,
"So shall we head to the social gathering." said Death holding out his arm. Luna puts on a smile and nods as she wraps her hoof around his arm and they both go down to the party. Death and Luna surprisingly is having a great time together, they talked about where they were from, how sometimes their siblings would annoy them.
"So your sister also likes sweets?" asked Luna as Death gave a chuckle.
"You could say that." said Death
"If you would excuse me, I'm going to get some refreshments." said Luna as she walks off. Death watched as she walks off before noticing a familiar pink alicorn.
"Cadence?"
"Oh, hello Death on your date I see." she says in a mocking tone.
"We're not courting if that's what you mean." says Death.
"Actually if you don't mind, I think my Aunt has developed some feelings for you and i think you have as well."
"What makes you say that!" yelled Death causing the pink alicorn to jump back.
"Death, if you forgot I'm the Princess of love, this stuff is easy to spot."
"Fine, you win, but what makes you think she wants to be with someone like me and not with someone that’s-"
"A pony."
"Yeah."
“Just tell her how you feel and I promise that you won't regret it." Death gave a smile under his mask as he stood up from his chair.
"You're right Cadence I'll go tell her right no-"
AHHHHHHHH!
A familiar voice was heard as the band and ponies stopped socializing and turned their attention to the middle of the room where Princess Luna is trapped in what looked like burgundy and gold mist. The mist soon took form of two creatures. One with the body of a horse and torso with two giant horns and the other a giant red demon with upside down bat like wings.
"Hello my little ponies, allow me to introduce myself. I am Samael and this here is my son Tirek as all of you already know, and we are tonight's entertainment." said Samael with a wicked grin as he held a familiar blue alicorn in his magic.
"Luna!" yelled Celestia as she appeared in front of the two, "Let her go!" she commanded her horn lighting up.
"I wouldn't do that Celestia, one wrong move and she dies in front of all of Equestria." said Tirek with a devilish smile. Celestia glared daggers at him as she dimmed her attack and lowered her horn.
"There we go was that so hard."
"SAMAELL!!!" screamed Death as Samael turned his attention to him, noticing he is not wearing his suit anymore but his normal armor he came to Equestria in.
"Ah Death, it's been a while how's your brother been holding up." Death grits his teeth under his mask as he clenched his scythes.
"Let her go Samael."
"Since when did you care about beings other than your own siblings, Death?"
"LET.HER. GO."
"Sorry, can't do that I need her."
"Wrong answer!" yelled Death as he advanced on Samael only to be caught in Tirek's magic and to be thrown across the ground like a ragdoll. Boiling with rage he charged again only to take a blast to the chest knocking him out. The mane 6 witnessing there friend knocked out quickly rushed to his aid.
"What do you want Tirek!?" yelled Twilight in anger.
"Simple to prove to my father that I will not be bested by six brats and take over this realm along with many others." Twilight looked back at Death still unconscious.
"Sorry to cut this short but we have what we came for." said Samael as he lifted the unconscious Death with his magic and Princess Luna.
"Luna!!" screamed Celestia charging the two, but in flash of black light, Tirek and Samael where gone along with Death and Luna.
Well of Souls
Three silhouettes walked to the entrance to the Well of Souls . "Are you sure this is where Death was?" said a feminine voice.
"He has to be this is where those giants told us where he would be." said another voice with a deep tone.
"Maybe he jumped in?" said a raspy voice.
"You have a point." said the female. The three figures stood there staring at the Well of Souls when they all felt a sharp pain in their chests.
"Was I the only on that felt that?" asked the raspy voice.
"No, come on our brother needs us." said the deep voice. And with that said War, Fury, and Strife jumped in the Well of Souls hoping to save their brother.
After the recent turn of events at the grand Galloping Gala Canterlot is now on high alert for any signs of threat. Celestia and the Mane 6 are pacing back and forth in the throne room wondering where Samael and Tirek took Death and Luna. All of a sudden two guards burst through the throne doors alarming the seven in the room.
"My Princess we have word from one of our scouts." said one of the guards.
"What is it Private?" said Celestia with a slight of hope building up inside her.
"We've have lost contact with all our outpost around Canterlot, I am afraid the Lord Tirek is behind it." said the other guard causing Celestia's hope to instantly fade away. Celestia knew her sister was in danger but at the same time the citizens of not only Canterlot but Equestria as well was in danger.
"Private get Shining Armor and Cadence to put a dome around Canterlot."
"Yes Princess!" The two guards salute and rush out the throne room. Twilight walks up to her mentor and see's her tear stained face, she feels desperate seeing her mentor like this and can understand what's she is going through. Two of her friends are captured while Canterlot is surrounded by monsters waiting to strike at any second. Twilight puts a hoof on her teacher's shoulder and gives her a sad smile.
"Don't worry Princess, well find them." said Twilight
"It's not just Luna I'm worried about." said Celestia
"Then what is it?"
"It's the ponies of Equestria, Tirek has returned with someone stronger and with an entire army at my front door and I am too weak to stop it."
"Princess doesn’t say that in my eyes you are the most powerful of ponies in Equestria."
"But I was there when that monster had Luna in his clutches I could easily rescued her but I was too afraid on what might happened." Celestia sobbed as Twilight put on a comforting smile.
"Princess it's ok to be scared, if you would've charged in recklessly he would've killed Luna and Death."
"You are right Twilight I am glad that I taught a much valuable student." Celestia said as she wraps Twilight into a warm embrace.
"GROUP HUG!!!" yelled Pinkie as she wraps everyone in her hooves for a big hug squeezing the life out of them.
"P-pinkie can't breathe!!" said Rainbow Dash as Pinkie let them go letting them gasp for air.
"Ooops. Sorry guys." said Pinkie with a apologetic grin in her face. The doors then swing open again to see another royal guard rushing in.
"What in the hay is it this time?" said AppleJack starting to get frustrated.
"My Princess the monsters have surrounded the dome and I don't know how long it will hold." said the guard as the seven gasped in shock.
"We need to find Death and Luna now!" roared Celestia
Unknown Location
Death opened his eyes and looked at his surroundings and found he was in a dark cave. He tried to move but couldn’t for he was bound up in chains. He struggled and struggled but he had no anvil of breaking the demon chains.
"Try all you want my child, but i designed those binds specially for you." said a familiar seductive voice
"Lillith, why am I surprised to see you before me." spat Death
"Is that any way to talk to your mother?"
"You are not my mother."
"Isn't I who created the Nephillim and rose all like your sin?"
"My sin!!" Death yelled in anger "It was you, mother, who help Samael trick my brother War to be imprisoned on Earth!"
"Tisk, tisk Death you need to calm down we wouldn't want your friend to get hurt."
"Luna! Where is she? I swear to the maker if you put one hand on her-"
"Since when did you get sensitive for another." Death simply looked away and growled in anger. Lillith tilted her head in confusion then finally put the pieces together.
. "Ooooh! You have feelings for her don't you?" Death didn't respond as Lillith just smiled and walked away out of the chamber. Death sighed in relief as he looked around to see if any other unwanted guests would come. Death then whistled causing despair come through the floor and bucking his chains, breaking them, causing Death to fall to the ground.
"It's about time she left." said Death as he hopped on Despair's back. A crow then perched on Death shoulder and squawked. "Dust see if you can find Luna." Dust nodded and looked around, then flew off with Death riding Despair behind him. "Don't worry Luna I'm coming."
Another Chamber in the Cave
Luna was suddenly awake with a slap to the face. She jerked awake to see her hooves and wings bound, she tried to use her magic but her horn sizzled out, Luna panted heavily as she tried to use her magic again only for it to fail again. Why isn't my magic working? she thought as she noticed a ring around her horn, A bounding ring, that must be disrupting my magic.
"Right you are Princess of the Night." said a voice that Luna saw the being that slapped her awake. He had a shadow figure with long claws and four blue eyes.
"Who are you creature?" said Luna
"How rude of me allow me to introduce myself. I am the one and only Crowfather at your service." Luna glared at the creature known as Crowfather, for his arrogance and for laying a hand on her.
"Release me!"
"Sorry Princess, I'm afraid I can't do that."
"Why not?"
"Because we have plans for you." Luna gave a confused look, form what Death told her at the Gala Crowfather betrayed Death when he needed him most and is now helping Tirek and Samael.
"What kind of plans?"
"This." confused as Luna was she wasn't expecting Crowfather to wrap a claw around her muzzle as his body started stared to glow a bright yellow and black slime starts to surround Luna's body. Luna then let's out a scream in pain and terror when Crowfather lets go of her mouth.
Death was racing down the hallways of the cave and slicing through any demon passing by while following Dust's trail. He then heard a scream of terror and then recognized who it was.
"Luna! Faster Despair!" screamed Death as Despair whined and galloped faster. Death then found Dust perched on an opening to another chamber with four demons guarding it. Death jumped off Despair and unsheathed his scythes, the demons charged Death as Death side stepped cutting one in half. One Demon swung a mace but Death rolled out the way and jumped on the demons back. Another demon swung his great sword to hit Death but only for him to dodge and hitting his own comrade and for getting his head decapitated. The last demon then looked at Death and roared only for a scythe to go straight through his skull. Death then ran in the chamber only to get knocked back by a source of yellow aura.
Death then looked to see Crowfather turned into a watcher.
"Love the new look Crowfather." taunted Death as he lifted himself off the ground.
"I've been waiting a long time for this rider." said Crowfather with a menacing voice.
"Where is Luna!?"
"While take a look." Death then looked to see a unconscious Luna chained up with her head hung low. Death then sprinted towards her only to be grasping by Crowfather and get thrown on the other end of the room. "You will not touch her while I live rider"
"Then so be it." said Death as he got in to a defensive stance. Crow father rushed Death with his claws as Death formed his scythes into his double-bladed staff the two collided making a shockwave causing the room to shake. Death then kicked Crowfather into the ceiling and leaped towards him and took a swing, but Crowfather dodged the attack and pinned Death to the wall clawing at his abdomen. Death then kicked him off and summoned his giant maul and smacked Crow father in to the nearby wall. Death slowly walked up to Crowfather drawing his scythes.
"Let her go!" yelled Death in anger.
"I will do no such thing rider, she is part of our salvation and our rebirth!" screamed back Crowfather as he carged Death. Death stood there waiting to strike, when Crowfather was only meters away from him he turned in to his reaper form and used his ancient scythe to cut off both of Crowfather's arms. Crowfather then fell on his back and coughed up green blood. Death turned back to his normal form and stood over Crowfather with a foot on his chest pinning him down.
"Death all I w-wanted is the s-survival of the N-Nephillim you had to u-understand why I h-had to betray y-you." Crowfather said weakly. Death pulled out Redemption and cocked back the pistol and aimed for Crowfathers head.
"You didn't betray me, you betrayed yourself."
"Death, Wait-!" pleaded Crowfather but it was already too late for Death had pulled the trigger causing the bullet from the pistol go straight through Crowfather's head making it explode. Death put's his brother's pistol away as he watches Crowfather's body descend to the Underworld once again. Death then looked over to Luna and sprinted towards her he cut off the chains and slowly let her down. As Death was about to stroke her mane he was blasted back. He then noticed Luna laughing manically as her coat was pitch black and wore dark blue armor with black slime surrounding her with a yellow aura.
"You dare touch Nightmare Moon, now you will face the power of the night!" yelled Nightmare Moon as she charged Death.
Everfree Forest
The three horsemen walk along the path of the forest trying to find their lost brother. Strife groaned like a child for he was getting annoyed with all this walking and no action.
"This is so boring, first that striped horse with the weird rhyming, and now where walking on a path for creator knows how long it will end." complained Strife.
"Technically speaking the striped horse was a zebra and I actually liked her." said Fury
"Whatever but can we have some action already." War was starting to get furious with his little brother complains and whines like a helpless child. As the three entered a swamp War noticed some mysterious bubbles coming from the water.
"Strife keep your voice down" War said.
"Why afraid I might be right." barked Strife
"This is not the ti-"
"Of course it's the time."
"Shut up!" War screamed as the ground stated to shake as a four headed beat burst from the swamp and roared at the three riders.
"You had two couldn't be smart for ten minutes." said Fury as she took out her whip.
"Finally!!" screamed Strife as he took out his two pistols.
"Here we go." said War as he took his great sword from his back.
The hydra charged the three horsemen with fury and rage for trespassing in its territory. The three dodged out of the way as the hydra hit a nearby boulder, the hydra shook off the the pain and roared at the three nephillim. Strife started firing his pistols at the beast distracting it for War and Fury to deliver the killing blow. Fury used cracked her whip and bonded the hydra's legs making him topple to the swampy floor; War took the opportunity and sprinted towards the beast ready to bring down his great sword upon the beast. The hydra however had other plans; it broke free of the grip and swung its tail knocking War and Strife through a couple of trees.
"This thing is tougher than we thought." said Strife reloading his pistols.
"It seems that we have to come up with a strategy to take this beast down other than running in like mindless apes." said War gripping tightly to his great sword.
"You got that right so what's the pl...Wait....where's Fury?" The two looked around for their sister only to see her fighting the hydra head on! "Damn! Come one we have to help her!" said Strife running to help his sister only to be stopped by War who grabbed him by the collar.
"Hey what's the big idea?"
"She can handle herself, after she is done with the creature we can go find Death."
"Whatever you say so."
The hydra roared in anger with cuts from Fury's whip all over its body, it then charged at Fury and try to use one of its head to engulf her in its powerful jaws. Fury instantly rolled out the way and wrapped her whip around the hydra's legs making it fall to the ground again. She then jumped on its back and wrapped her whip around all four of the Hydra's necks; the hydra quickly got up and panicked kicking and smashing in to trees and boulders. Fury hanging on to her whip's around the hydra's neck like a rodeo decided to end things now for they were delayed enough time from finding Death. With one powerful yank of her whip the Hydra yelled in agony as its four heads was cleanly sliced off it's body. Fury then somersaulted of the back of the hydra as it fell to ground never to get up again.
"So we ready to go now that the distraction is taken care of." said Fury walking to her brothers who nodded in response and continued walking in the forest. Fury walking ahead of the group solemnly put her head down. "Don't worry Death were coming for you." whispered Fury as they traveled deeper in the dense forest.
Cave Chamber
Nightmare Moon fired another blast at Death who easily rolled out the way. She then teleported im front of him with her horn powered up trying to impale the rider, but thanks to Death's reflexes he blocked the attack with is sickle blades and pushed her back.
"Luna this isn't you, come to your senses!" screamed Death hoping to get though the princess of the night. The dark alicorn only laughed chaotically at the nephillim's ignorance.
"Fool, there is no more Luna! Only Nightmare Moon!" screamed Nightmare Moon as she blasted a barrage of magic at the pale rider. Death advancing slowly deflecting every attack Nightmare shot at him. When he got close enough he jumped over Nightmare and punched her square in the nose sending her skidding across the ground. It pained Death hurting the alicorn, even though she wasn't really trusting of him when he was bounded in their castle she still managed to get along with him the second time they crossed paths. Death thoughts were interrupted when he noticed the black slime on Luna which was giving off a yellow mist.
"Corruption," Death whispered to himself. That's why she was acting like this, Crowfather must have done a type of spell, "There is only one way to end this." said Death as he looked to his belt and eyed a glowing green vile. Death sighed hoping the plan he was thinking of would work, he shook away his feelings for Luna safety and focused on the task at hand. He morphed his scythes into his double-bladed staff and got in his defensive stance.
"Ready for round two?" said Death with a hint of cockiness in his voice.
"Gladly, whelp!" screamed Nightmare as she charged up her horn and charged Death.
Everfree Forest
The three riders walked through the forest calmly. War and Fury where getting irritated with Strife's complaining about food.
"I'm sooo hungry!" yelled Strife gripping his stomach.
"Our brother might be in serious hell and all you can think about is food?" said Fury sending a glare to the youngest rider.
"I can't help it, I'm sure big bro is fine anyway-arrgggh!" The three riders griped their heads in agony as all three of them saw a flash of Death fighting a winged horned horse. With another flash everything came back to reality.
"He'll be fine you say." snorted War as Strife smiled sheepishly. All of a sudden there was a mighty roar from the trees War brought out his great sword and Fury took out her whip, until they were stopped by Strife."Don't worry I got this one." said Strife as the two nodded and put away their weapons. Strife took out both of his pistols and cocked back the triggers. Once he did that a giant purple like bear emerged from the tree line and roared at Strife and then charged. Strife did a barrel roll out of the way and opened fire on the Ursa Major. The Major charges him again but Strife wasn't quick enough as he was knocked into a tree, Fury gave a light chuckle at this.
"I think he's begging for mercy little bro." joked Fury as Strife recovered from being dazed.
"Oh, haha, Fury why don't you shove it up your-" Strife was then cut off as the Ursa Major engulfed him in its jaws. Strife trying his best not to get crushed morphed his to pistols in to a shot gun and shot upward in the Ursa Major's mouth causing the bullet to go straight through it's skull. The giant bear crashed to the ground as Strife stepped out the jaw of the beast.
"Shall we continue?" asked War in a serious tone.
"Yeah, let's go."
The three horsemen walked throughout the forest when they came to a cave. War motioned the two to stop as he stared off in the dark cave.
"Do you guys feel that energy?" asked War.
"Yeah, it's Death he's in there." answered Fury
"Let's go get our brother." said Fury cocking back his pistols.
Death was blasted on to the side of the wall, he was bruised, cut, and beaten his mask was cracked and black blood trickled on his upper body. He fell to his knees with his scythes in front him. Death crawled to his weapons but it got kicked away by Nightmare Moon. She laughed at his pain and bucked him making him to flop like a rag doll across the floor.
"So tell me Death, how does it feel to be helpless." said Nightmare as she stepped on his arm making a bone crushing sound making Death scream in agony, "Pathetic, here the rider of Death fallen before me." Death slowly got to his feet arms drooping and breathing heavily.
"L-L-Luna, P-P-Please." stuttered Death falling in front of Nightmare Moon. Just before she was about to make the final blow Death swept under her legs with his scythe making her fall on her face and using the green liquid and poured it down his throat. Nightmare Moon gagged at the taste and started to cough up black slime, the yellow aura around her disappeared and the black slime disintegrated. Her coat turned an ocean blue, her mane became the night sky, and her armor has disappeared.
"What...what happed?" asked Luna a daze. She looked around and noticed the destruction in the room What could've caused this?she thought to herself, until she saw the beaten form of Death. Luna's eyes went wide and rushed to his side. "Death! Are you alright!" yelled Luna but the nephillim didn't make a response, "Death, please!" Luna was now breaking into tears as she wrapped her forelegs around Death and nuzzled into his bloody chest. She looked up at his cracked mask and reached a foreleg to take it off, until she felt something push against her head and the sound of a trigger being cocked back.
"Step away from my brother, BITCH!"
Canterlot
Outside of Canterlot Lillith, Samael, and Tirek stood outside the shield around Canterlot with their demon hoard behind them trying to break through the magical barrier.
"My lords, The shield is almost down and soon these ponies will be at your mercy." said Lillith with a bow.
"Perfect soon all of Equestria will be ours soon we take care of Celestia and her six little brats." said Samael
"Yes Father." said Tirek. The demons have finally broken through the shield causing it to crack and crumble to the ground. The demon hoard all rushed in like a swarm of bees in to Canterlot. Tirek walked through the gates of Canterlot and noticed the dead guards and ponies that his demons have already killed when they stormed the gate.
"Revenge is mine!" said Tirek his eyes glowing a bright yellow.
The Demons have broken through the magical barrier around Canterlot and are now swarming the streets like bees destroying and killing everything in their way. The royal gurd have been over powered and have been captured, killed, or retreated back to defend the castle with the Princess and the elements. The streets of Canterlot were chaos ponies being dragged off, slaughtered, and beaten by the invaders and stood amidst the destruction was no other than Lord Tirek and Samael, they both smile maliciously as they walked through the streets admiring the destruction their army is causing to these pathetic life forms. Lillith flew down in front of her two superiors and bowed in respect.
"My lords we have drove back the ponies defensives to the castle and now advancing as we speak." said Lillith.
"Excellent work Lillith, keep the assault when you reach the castle and kill anything that gets in our way but keep the princess and the elements alive." said Tirek with a serious expression.
"Why, so my Lord, if you don't mind me asking." Samael then decided to join the conversation.
"Because Lillith I have just gotten word that Death has escaped and most likely killed Crowfather along with freeing that Princess of the night." said Samael in a now angry tone.
"So we use the Princess and the elements as bait, if that's what you're saying?" asked Lillith
"Yes once we have Death and her where we want them, they will fall." Lillith smiled and bowed in response, then flew off to advance on the castle.
Princess Celestia's Castle
Princess Celestia paced back and forth in the throne room, Canterlot was about to fall she, the elements and whatever is left of the royal guard are trapped within the walls of her castle. She glanced over the main six to see their faces down in sorrow and failure for they knew this was a battle they could not win. Celestia walked over to her window to see Canterlot in an orange light of blazing fire, with streams of smoke rising in the air. She could hear the banging on the castle door and the guards trying their best to barricade the door.
"Twilight I need you and your friends to take the elements down below in the caverns of the castle and stay there I will assist you when I can." said Celestia as Twilight gave her a confusing look.
"Princess what are you talking about?"
"Take the elements and hide below while I and the guards fend off Tirek and Samael."
"B-b-but Princess we can't just leave you." said Twilight with a whimper as Rainbow flew in the conversation. "Yeah, you might take on Tirek but you’re also taking on his father and a massive army!"
"Ah' agree with Rainbow ya' need our help Princess." said Applejack,
"I'm sorry, but we can't afford losing the elements right now they are the only hope we have left." Celestia snapped back as the six hang their heads low and defeat and nodded and hurried off to the crystal caverns below the castle. The six were silent as they made it to the mines where Fluttershy started to sob. Pinkie but a foreleg around her shoulder trying to comfort her shy friend.
"Its okay, Flutershy." said Pinkie who's mane has deflated giving Fluttershy a sad smile.
"N-no it's n-not. We lost D-D-D-Death and Luna already, now we are going to lose Celestia as well." sobbed Fluttershy burying her face in Pinkie's mane.
"Fluttershy darling, I'm sure Death and Luna are alright, I bet you they escaped where ever that ruffian has kept them and are on their way as we speak." said Rarity as Fluttershy wiped her tear stained face and gave her a light smile.
"Thank you Rarity I needed that."
"It was nothing deary."
"Do you really think Death and Luna are fine."
"Positive."
Everfree Caves
"Step away nice and easy." growled Strife as Luna slowly rose and moving away from Death her back facing the trio, "Turn around." Luna obeyed and turned slowly to be met with three bipedal creatures. the one pointing the pistol at Luna had a white animal like mask with wild hair and what looked like animal hides and bones as armor. The other had a slender figure wearing a purple one piece leotard with shoulder guards and a whip wrapped around her waist, her hair was also like tentacles. The final figure was bulky and had giant rock like gauntlets with a great sword on his back, he wore a red hood that matched his armor and white locks. The trait that caught Luna's eye the most was those yellow eyes that glowed on the three figures, Death has the same yes, and then it snapped in her head.
"Are you the other three horsemen." asked Luna, the three horsemen just stared at her, Strife still aiming his pistol at her head and Fury crossing her arms with a scowl on her face, but War just stood there with no emotions. Luna's blood went cold as he started to slowly walk up to her. Strife smirked as he lowered his pistol knowing that War will take care of her himself. Luna closed her eyes waiting for her death to be quick and painless as War rose a fist up. Luna waited and waited she peeked an eye open to see War holding out his hand with a green bean inside.
"Take it blue one and give it to Death, it will heal him." said War as Luna sighed in relief as she grasped the bean with her magic and went over to Death to feed him the bean as Strife and Fury looked at War with confusion on their faces.
"Why didn't you kill her you saw what she did to Death!" yelled Strife
"For once I agree with Strife, if she could do this to Death, our brother, then she is too dangerous to be kept alive." argued Fury
"I know what you two are going through but there is more than to this story than you think." said War
"And how do you know! You saw how beat up he is!" snapped Strife
"Because she knew we were horsemen and by the looks of this world it is even younger than world of man. The inhabitants shouldn't know about us yet, so in my conclusions she must have known death during his time here." said War as Fury once again stepped in the conversation.
"I still think she is to dangerous to live, she gave Death a real beat down and the only ones powerful enough to do that is one of us."
"Not exactly" said War, "I sense her energy and from the looks of it, she was corrupted by Crowfather and it seems that when Death encountered her....he held back for some reason, because she is no stronger than Strife."
"Hey!" Yelled Strife.
"Then if that's case the case, do you think they were close?" asked Fury.
"I don't know but we will soon find out." answered War.
Death's vision was blurry as he opened his eyes, he stood up as his vision cleared, but then he was tackled by a familiar blue alicorn. Luna gripped his torso with tears in her eyes as she buried her face in his chest. Death simply stroked her mane to comfort her. "I'm so so so so sorry!" Luna cried.
"It's fine Luna as long as your safe, everything will be okay." said Death as he looked over to see other three horsemen giving him a confused look.
"War, Fury, Strife? What are you doing here?" asked Death breaking the hug with Luna.
"We heard you were trying to find a way to bring back humanity so we decided to help you out. Until we saw you beaten by this creature." said Fury giving a glare to Luna.
"Don't worry, she is a friend, wait, War how are you here aren't you supposed to be locked up by the council." asked Death making War chuckle.
"You and me both know that the Council can't hold me forever, little brother. So I broke out and with it the seventh seal summoning these two but when you didn't appear we got worried and set out to find you." said War
"Sooooo, are you gonna introduce us to your lady friend or what." said Strife pointing to Luna.
"Well to be formally introduced, this is one of the co-rulers of this land, Princess Luna. Luna these are my brothers and sister War, Fury, and Strife." said Death.
"It’s a pleasure to meet you three and I apologize for what I did to your brother and take full responsibility, just know I never want to hurt him he is too important to me." said Luna with a sorrowful look as Death's eyes went wide. Strife smirked and laughed as hard as he can.
"Wait a minute are you sayin’ you have feelings....for Death." Luna blushed, she wanted to deny it, but what would that solve it wouldn't change her feelings about him, but it might change Death's feelings about her. Luna sighed in defeat and nodded.
"What!! BWHAHAHAHA, I'm sorry, it's cute and all but who new Death would be the first one to have someone like him let alone love him-OW!" screamed Strife as Fury stuck him upside the head.
"Death do you feel the same way" asked Fury as Death looked at Luna and could tell her eyes were filled with hope on his answer to his sister’s question.
"Yes, I do." said Death wrapping an arm around Luna.
"Then that's all I need to know, along as you’re happy, as a family we won't go against it." Death gave her sister a 'loving' handshake as a thank you.
"Can we talk about something else now." said War getting a bit annoyed.
"Yeah, I'm tired of listening to the milky-milky stuff." said an unknown voice, but Death and Luna knew it all too well. All of a sudden a bright light flashed in the middle of the room as Discord the spirit of chaos appeared from it.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!!!" screamed Strife as he started to fire random shots at Discord only for the bullets to phase right through him.
"Well that's no way to say hello." said Discord floating above the group.
"What are you here for Discord?" said Death gripping on his scythes remembering what happened the last time these two crossed paths.
"Well, since Canterlot has fallen I decided to help you."
"Wait! What do you mean Canterlot has fallen!?" screamed Luna
"Demons, Celestia and the elements trapped in the castle, Samael, Tirek, the list goes on." said Discord pulling out a long list and a pen. War then stepped up.
"If Samael is here then that means trouble, how can you help us creature." asked War in his serious tone.
"Well we can't simply barge in that's kind of suicide, but it's the only plan we got sooooo!!!!!" Discord snapped his talons as the whole group disappeared in a flash of light.
Arctic North
The group reappeared with Dicord looking at a magical dome with what looked like an entire city inside with crystallized structures.
"Discord where in the makers name did you send us!" yelled Death
"Ladies and Gentleman! Boys and Girls!" said Discord as he summoned up a microphone, speakers, and a military uniform, "To take back Canterlot we are going to need help soooo... I present you the Crystal Empire!"
The doors to the throne room exploded shards of wood shattering in every direction as Tirek and Samael marched in and to be greeted by Celestia with a scowl on her face and in a battle stance, horn charged with magic ready for anything the two would throw at her. The two stopped a few yards from Celestia with mischievous grins on their faces. "Celestia, your city has fallen, your guards are either imprisoned or dead, and the rider and your sister are nowhere to be found." announced Samael as Celestia's horn shone brighter by the second, "I'll give you one chance to live, kneel before me and tell me where these so called 'Elements' are."
"You can threaten me all you want dark one, but you will never find the Elements as long there is somepony to rise up against you." Celestia snapped.
"Who said anything about threats." smirked Tirek as he charged Celestia who instantly dodged the attack only to be smacked by Samael and slam in the opposite wall. Celestia recovered from the hit and flared her wings and took off towards the duo she charged up her horn sending a yellow beam at the two. Samael reflected the beam and caught Celestia with his dark magic and slammed her on the ground until she was unconscious. He then summoned rusty old chains from the floor causing them to wrap around Celestia, binding her of her magic and her movements.
"Tirek find these Elements, while I have some fun with our host." ordered Samael.
"Yes father." answered Tirek turning away.
"I want them alive son."
"Of course you do." grunted Tirek as he walked out the throne room. Samael then turned his attention to bound princess in front of him, and gave a mischievous grin and smacked her across the face waking her from consciousness. Celestia squirmed in the chains, but the only thing to occur was them getting tighter and tighter, she let out a painful scream as she felt her bones being crushed. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." said Samael snapping Celestia from her thoughts, "Those change are magically bound the more you struggle the tighter they get, and if they get too tight..heh heh....I think you know what happens." said Samael as his demonic hand glowed with orange and red energy making the chains squeeze tighter around Celestia, making her scream in pain again as blood now trickled down her sides. Samael chuckled and loosened chains a little bit not wanting to waste all his fun in one go.
"Now here is how it's going to go you tell me everything you know, or I'll kill every last pony in this wretched realm." stated Samael
"H-how d-do I know y-you won't kill them a-anyways if I t-told you." Celestia managed to spat out.
"I might a demon but when a deal is made I tend to keep it."
"But d-demons always l-lie and m-mislead others into w-what they w-want."
"Perhaps, but enough of this talk let's get this started." said Samael as he stood over the sun goddess causing a shadow to loom over her as the halls of the castle are filled with her screams of pain and suffering.
Under Royal Castle; Crystal Mines
The six were treading through the mines under the castle, hearing the thunderous booms from above, assuming it was the demons causing havoc throughout the streets of Canterlot. Twilight felt guilty, she should've stayed behind with Celestia, and there was no way she could take on Tirek and Samael alone. A lone tear trickled down Twilight's face as she letting a sniff until Rarity snapped her from her thoughts.
"Can we take a break? We've been walking for hours and it’s messing up my hooficure." whined Rarity as Applejack rolled her eyes.
"Canterlot is bein' attacked and destroyed by demons and the only thang ya' worried about is ya' hooficure, and by the way we've only been walking for thirty minutes!" snapped Applejack.
"Well you try getting your hooves done only for them to be ruined next day!"
"We don't have time for pretty hooves! We have ta get out of this here predicament." Rarity stuck her tongue out at Applejack. The group carried on through the mines trying to ignore the tremors from above.
"Is it me or are those shakes getting louder?" asked Rainbow as the group stopped, and noticed that Rainbow was right the tremors were getting louder.
"Hey guys it's raining dirt!" yelled Pinkie as dirt and shards of crystal fell from the ceiling the group looked up in horror as they saw a demonic claw burst out the ceiling. The demon burst through the ceiling and let out a piercing roar. "I found them! They're underground!" yelled the demon as more demons burst through the ceiling.
"Run!" yelled Twilight as the six sprinted through the mines of crystal, the demons right on their tails. A explosion came from the ceiling again but much louder this time Twilight looked back to see Tirek glaring/smiling at them. "Samael wants them alive. Don't disappoint." commanded Samael to a demon who simply nodded and went to pursue the six.
"i want to go home!" cried Fluttershy as another roar from the demons came behind the group. The six turned another corner and found themselves facing a mine cart. "Everypony in!" yelled Twilight as they all hopped in the cart and rode along the tracks.
"Ha! We lost them!" chanted Rainbow with victory.
"Ya might want ta look behind us Rainbow." said Applejack as Rainbow looked behind the cart to see the demons flying after them.
"Oh come on!"
One of the demons caught up and latched himself on to the speeding cart, only to get bucked in the face by Applejack. The demon sprawled on the ground unconscious as the demon hoard kept flying after the six. Twilight charged up her horn and started firing blasts of magic hitting every demon that was coming after them.
"There's too many of them!" yelled Twilight in terror as she spotted a shadowed figure on the track.
"Who's that?" said Pinkie pointing at the figure. Twilight looked closer to see the figure rise to his four hooves and raised one of its massive bulky arms.
"Tirek!!" the six screamed as Tirek slammed his fist into the side of the cart making the six fly out the cart and slam to the ground. Twilight's vision was blurry she saw her friends unconscious being carried by demons. "Lord Tirek, what are your orders?" she heard a demon ask.
"Keep them alive, my father has special plans for them." answered Tirek as he walked up to Twilight and lifted her up by the throat. "Not so powerful without your friends are you?" Tirek cocked his fist back and brought towards Twilight knocking her out and flinging her on her shoulder.
Crystal Empire: Throne room
"This is terrible, we must help my auntie at once!" said Cadence, "but we can't just launch a full out attack if my aunt is still alive along with the elements they would probably be captive."
"Who cares if they are captive, the four of us barge in, kill those two bastards and-ack!" chocked Strife as Death grabbed him by the throat and pinned him to the wall.
"We are not doing that." whispered Death
"What's your problem! I thought you didn't care about these ponies."
"I didn't but that's changed." said Death as he glanced at Luna. Strife followed Death and groaned.
"It's her isn't it?" Death stayed silent and let go of Strife who dropped to the ground clutching his throat and glared daggers at Death. Luna then walked up to Death and wrapped her forelegs around his waist.
"Thanks." Luna whispered as Death nodded.
"So I assume we sneak into Canterlot and rescue these elements and sun goddess-" trailed Fury.
"Then we pay Samael and his son a little visit." finished War.
"What are we gonna do about this Lillith person?" asked Discord sipping on a glass of chocolate milk.
"Me and Tia will take care of her." said Luna. The doors to the throne room then opened and brought everyone’s attention to Shining Armor in his purple armor and stood next to his wife.
"Once the rescue is complete we my husband Shining Armor will lead a full assault on Canterlot driving out these invaders." explained Cadence as the group gave a nod in agreement.
"We will start the mission tomorrow morning so it's best for all of you to get some rest." said Shining Armor as the six left the throne room leaving Cadence and Shining alone. They both stood in silence until Cadence started to cry Shining held his wife tight. "Don't worry sweetie I'm sure their fine." cooed Shining Armor as Cadence cried on her husband’s chest.
Canterlot Dungeon
Twilight opened her eyes as the cold dark stone floor made her body flinch from the cold. She tried to get up but cringed as a hoof gently forced her back down. She focused on the pony in front of her and noticed it was Fluttershy with a relieving and worried look on her face.
"You need to lay down Twilight." said Fluttershy as she put a blanket over Twilight.
"F-Fluttershy where are we?" Twilight asked in pain.
"We’re, in the Canterlot dungeon."
"Where are the others? Should they be in here with us as well?" asked Twilight looking around nervously.
"I don't know," whispered Fluttershy as tears started to well up in her eyes, "When they captured us, they took us to different places."
Twilight enraged sat up quickly and concentrated her magic on the cell door and blast it apart, but the only thing that came out of her horn was fizzles of magic. She tried again and concentrated even harder but to no avail. Before Fluttershy can protest as she was trying to charge up her magic again a low voice came from the hallway.
"There is no use for that my little pony." said Samael as he appeared in front of the cell door. Fluttershy quickly hid behind Twilight as she failed to shoot another blast of magic, "If you have noticed there is an enchanted ring on your horn that is preventing you for doing you little magic."
"Where is my friends and what have you done with Celestia!" screamed Twilight
"Your friends are still alive, for now."
"Why keep us alive? You know we are the only ones that can stop you."
"Yes, together you can stop me, that's why I split you up in the first place."
"But why are you letting us live you could kill one of us and we'll be powerless," Twilight thought for the conclusion until it finally hit her and her eyes went wide in shock, "Unless we're bait."
Samael chuckled to himself in humor, "I see why you're the smart one. It seems that not only the rider Death and the moon goddess has escaped, but they managed to kill Crowfather and the other three riders are here plus some damned creature that acts like he is the creator himself. " growled Samael in anger, "But no matter, if my predictions are correct the riders are stronger together like you and your friends, so when they come here they'll have to split up and rescue you and you other little brats and I'l take them out of this realm one by one." Twilight slumped back in fear and sadness feeling helpless as she noticed Fluttershy was whimpering behind her, tears slid down her cheeks as she asked one more question to the demon king.
"What about Celestia where is she? You never mentioned anything about her."
"Oh I wouldn't worry about her."
"W-W-Why not?" asked Twilight not wanting to know the answer. Samael smiled and turned her back to her.
"Because Celestia is dead." Samael said bluntly as he laughed and disappeared from Twilight's and Fluttershy's sight leaving the two crying and holding each other in comfort.
Luna stood on the balcony deep in thought about what would happen in tomorrow’s events, she stood there for hours until she heard footsteps behind her, she quickly turned around to see Death leaning against the opening of the door with his arms crossed. Luna gave a weak smile as Death nodded.
"Can't sleep?" Death asked.
"You could say that, I usually sleep during the day so I can watch the night." answered Luna as Death walked up to her side.
"You should get some rest you need all your strength for tomorrow."
"What about you? Don't you need sleep as well." asked Luna with a cocky grin.
"I'm Death when do I sleep?"
"Oh right, do you mind if I ask you a question."
"Ask away."
"Do you think we stand a chance?"
Death just stayed silence, of course him and his brothers stood a chance, but what about Luna? What about Cadence and her husband, Shining Armor. There is no way they could stand a chance against Samael and his son, maybe Lilith would be a better opponent for them. Death was snapped from his thoughts as Luna coughed in her hoof.
"So what do you think Death?"
"I...don't know, a lot can happen." Death answered trying to make the truth sound a little soft. Luna just sighed in disappointment and looked down in shame.
"I hope my sister and the other elements are alright." Luna whispered as she scooted closer to Death "Do you know what the plan is?" Death put a clawed glove to his chin and thought.
"Well we can't just barge in to Canterlot, then they'll kill your sister and the elements and we don't want that. So we'll have to sneak in and see if they are still alive."
"But the demons, will spot even if you do sneak in, most likely they are using the survivors as slaves, so maybe we could pretend to be one of them and slip easily inside without being noticed."
"How are we going to pass as slaves as you can see we're not ponies and how do you know all of this?"
"I have....dealt with this before, but that's for another time, to answer your concern we turn you into ponies." answered Luna as Death's eyes widened. Transformed in to a pony, yes it could work but how would the others react to this? Fury maybe would accept, War wouldn't care as long as the job gets done, and Strife would simply refuse without hesitation. "But there is a catch once you are transformed in to ponies you won't be able to turn back." continued Luna.
"I'll do it."
"R-r-really?! I mean if you don't want to go through with this-"
"Luna, I have to. They are my friends too, so do it." Death said with a serious look under his mask, Luna gazed in to his yellow eyes she always admired and started to light up her horn. Death slowly started to be lifted up in the air and started to be consumed by a bright light. He closed his eyes and felt his body take form. Luna started to sweat as she finally finished the spell and dimming the light to reveal a gray earth pony stallion with a long black mane and tail laying on the ground with purple armor and cloths strapped on his body with two scythes halted on his sides and a white face with no mouth and nose but just small yellow eyes, the same ones Luna loved to look in to so much. The stallion stood up on his hooves, being about two inches taller than Luna, and inspected his new body that he had acquired.

"Death? How do you feel?" asked Luna in a worried tone.
"Fine, so this is what being a pony feels like, seems...different." answered Death, wondering how he could still talk without a mouth, "It seems that my mask has fused with my face, perfect."
"I think you look rather handsome as a stallion." Luna blushed at the comment as Death grunted in annoyance, "Death I have something to tell you."
"What is it?"
"If we don't make it, tomorrow, I just want to say...um......I love being with you and hope that you stay by my side no matter what, and- and-" Luna then wrapped Death into an embrace and pressed her mouth on to where his was supposed to be. Death's eyes widened in surprise, even though he didn't have a mouth anymore he could still fill her lips against and melted in to the kiss. The two pulled apart and looked in to each other’s eyes. "I love you." whispered Luna in Death's ear as they still held the embrace.
"I....love you too." Death forced out. Luna nuzzled Death's neck as the two looked at the stars, "Do you think my brothers and sister will approve changing into ponies."
"I'm sure with you already a pony they would follow."
Next Morning; Outside Crystal Palace
"HELL NO!" screamed Strife as he glared at the ponified Death and Luna, "There is no way I'm becoming a pony!"
"Strife this is the only way." pleaded Cadence.
"No, I'm done! I'm leaving!" screamed Strife as he stomped away but Shining stepped in his way blocking the way glaring daggers at Strife, “Move."
"You’re going through this, my sister is in there and you’re going to help if you like it or not." barked Shining Armor horn lighting up as Strife pulled out one of his pistols and pointed it at Shining’s forehead.
"Enough of this!" yelled War as he stabbed his great sword to the ground and lifted Strife up by his throat, "You will become the damn pony and you will like it."
"But it's permanent! Come one Fury I know you don't approve this!" argued Strife as Fury just shrugged and gave a light smile at her brother, "Oh come on! Fine! I'll be the stupid pony!" War chuckled at his brother's annoyance and nodded at Shining giving him a wink.
"Thank you for considering this." thanked Cadence as Discord appeared in the group.
"So, if I heard right these three want to be ponies." scoffed Discord, "I think I could be of help."
"Let’s just get this over with." grunted Strife as Discord's talon glowed a bright yellow and a magical beam shooting out to the other three riders. The three then got consumed by the magic and started to change form. "Aaaaaaand done!" chanted discord as he bowed with a mustache putting a chef hat to his chest. Discord then pulled out a microphone as random smoke surrounded the three riders."Ladies and gentlecolts I give you...........THE PONYSIDERS!!!!!" screamed Discord as the smoke cleared showing War, Fury, Strife, and somehow Death on a random stage with spotlights shining on them.
The three riders looked at their new bodies and nodded in approval. Fury glanced at Strife and gave him a smile. "What?" asked Strife cocking his head to the side? "So you like your new body?" she scoffed.
"Ok, I admit it's pretty cool, but still bummed that we can't change back." answered Strife with a shrug.
"Are you two coming with us." asked Fury as Cadence shook her head and in shame.
"I'm sorry but it seems I am needed here, but I will wish you luck in saving my aunt and the rest of my friends, I don't know what I'll do if something would happen to them."
"Don't worry we'll get them back safely." said Fury as Discord snapped his fingers as he the riders and Luna vanished in a flash of light.
The group appeared in a flash of light in Canterlot and looked around to see if no demons were around, luckily there weren't any nearby. The group looked around to see charred buildings, debris spread across the ground, corpses lay in the streets, Luna spotted a lone doll on the ground with blood stains on she picked it up with tears in her eyes. Death came up behind Luna and put a hoof on her shoulder as Discord stretched his limbs and patted himself on the back."It seems my work is done, I'll see you guts when this is over, well if you survive." said Discord as he snapped his fingers.
"Wait! You can't-" trailed Strife but Discord was already gone in a flash of light. Strife groaned in anger as he stomped on the ground with his hoof, "Now what do we do!?"
"We start the objective, War, Strife, Fury, go and find the elements they might not look it but they are a valuable asset." commanded Death, "While you do that me and Luna will find Celestia, it'll be best for you guys to split up if I know Samael he knows they are stronger together so he probably split them up."
"Death you know this is a trap right." asked Fury.
"I know, but when has that stopped us?"
"Good point."
"Good luck my friends." said Luna as they all nodded and went their separate ways to rescue Celestia and the Elements.
The Wrath of War
War treaded through the ruin of what was once the great city of Canterlot; it pained him seeing the city like this. It reminded him when he was on Earth when the demon and angels brought their war to them. War then heard a crack from his side he quickly jumped behind a fallen piece of debris and peeked from behind it. Three demons touched down and scavenged through the rubble.
"Keep looking! Lilith said she felt a disturbance over here." said one of the demons
"That's not the only thing she felt." laughed another.
"Shut up and get back to work."
War chuckled and snuck around the three demons he didn't want to get caught and risk sounding the alarm so he stayed in the shadows and watched the three demons until they left.
"Hey did you here?" one asked.
"About what?" the other answered.
"About those six ponies they captured down below, I think they were called 'Elements' or something but I heard two of them are in the dungeon."
War smiled to himself at the information that was mistakenly given to him. He decided that the three demons have lived their usefulness and picked up a rock and threw it at a wall alerting the demons to go check it out. War slowly sneaked behind the three with his great sword in his mouth. When he was close enough he lunged and stuck the sword through the first demons back coming out from its chest making it cry out in pain. The other two turned around quickly, but only for War to cut them in half from the waist down. War looked at the carnage and sheathed his great sword.
"So, two of them are in the dungeon." War said to himself, "Let’s not keep them waiting."
Twilight and Fluttershy sat in silence. They had lost there is no hope now, Twilight's teacher and motherly figure is gone and the rest of her friends are separated. Twilight gave out a sad sigh as she began to cry again. Fluttershy noticing Twilight's behavior walked over to her and put a hoof around her shoulder comforting her.
"Please don't cry Twilight, everything will be okay." cooed Fluttershy.
"But that's just it." sniffed Twilight, "Everything is not okay, there is nothing we could do Fluttershy, nothing."
"Well don't worry Death and Luna-"
"Death and Luna aren't coming for us!"
"Twilight, why would you say that?"
"You saw how many of those things out there! They managed to kill Celestia and that was just one of them, so how can Death and Luna go against a whole army of those things!" snapped Twilight as Fluttershy whimpered back from Twilight from her sudden outburst, “Look I'm sorry, Fluttershy but let's face it noponys coming for us." Just as Twilight said that a demon came tumbling down the stone steps and slammed in to the cage Twilight and Fluttershy were in. They both shrieked in surprise, watching the demon slowly getting up blood slowly spewing from its mouth. As the demon got to its feet a long blade went straight through its skull and retracting. The girls grinned hoping to see Death, but it wasn't. Who they saw was a black stallion with a long white mane and tail, red hood, pure glowing white eyes, gray gauntlets and glowing red marks on his face with a long orange great sword with scriptures carved into it, sheathed on his back.
Twilight and Fluttershy backpedaled to the back of the cell in fear as the black stallion tore the door off its hinges. The stallion walked in and cocked his head to the side in confusion.
"Usually when someone gets saved they say thank you." said the black stallion in a deep voice.
"Uh....t-t-thank you, um-." stuttered Twilight still in fear of the stallion.
"War." Twilight and Fluttershy's eyes both widened upon hearing the name and they immediately recognized it. This was one of Death's brothers War that was supposed to be imprisoned, but why is he here?
"War? Aren't you supposed to be in jail?" asked Twilight
"Hmpf. It seems Death told you everything did he?" War responded with a grunt.
"Death! Is he here? Where's Luna? Are we going to go get the others?" rushed Fluttershy in excitement.
"Calm down yellow one, Death and that blue mare is here looking for Samael, while the rest of us are trying to find the rest of your friends." explained War.
"What do you mean the rest of us?"
"My other brother and sister, Strife and Fury, are looking for your friends as we speak, so if there is no further questions we are getting you two out of here quickly before more demons show up."
"Wait!" Twilight yelled causing War to turn around in annoyance, "How are you a pony when Death is-"
"Also a pony." War said cutting her off.
"Wait what?"
"Like I said all will be explained later, but we have to leave right no-"
THERE THEY ARE!!!!
Roared a group of demons from down the hall as they advanced on the trio. War motioned Twilight and Fluttershy to get behind him as he drew his Great sword from his sheath. War raised it up and slammed it in the ground causing red and black spikes to shoot up from the ground, impaling and crushing the group of demons. War put the sword back in his sheath and stared at the carnage.
"Let's go." said War as Twilight and Fluttershy nodded and followed him up the stairs and on to the surface and disappearing in the ruin buildings of Canterlot as demons soared through the air in search of the escape prisoners and the Rider of War.
Fury’s ears perked and she quickly jumped in an abandoned shop, she peeked out and saw a group of maybe a dozen demons rushing by. She mumbled under her breath knowing that one of her brothers have been spotted so quickly. Most likely it was war who got caught, he's not really the sneaky type any way. Fury peeked out the shop checking to see if any more demons came by when the cost was clear she exited the shop and continued to tread through the abandoned city.
"Those idiots are going to make my job harder if they keep getting caught." said Fury as she kicked a rock.
She treaded through the streets until she reached the palace, where she noticed that there were holes dug around it. Fury tilted her head in confusion as she observed the site.
"What were you bastards looking for?", she said to herself until she heard yelling that was non demonic, "Well I'm guessing that their keeping one of those Elements down there, well, here goes nothing." Fury then swanned dived into the hole and entered what looked like a cavern full of crystals. She landed gracefully on the dirt floor and checked her surroundings.
She brushed herself off and slowly got up still not used to the new form that Discord character had given her, Maybe when I find these guys they could help me work this thing, she thought as she growls and snarls just a few feet from her she quickly got behind a crystal and peeked out to see a lone demon mining the crystals.
"So, their gathering the crystals down her, huh?" Fury whispered to herself, "Well that answers why they dug near the castle, but where did those yells come from?" she thought to herself as she stared at the lone demon. "Well, I guess I could ask this one some questions," Fury took out her whip with her hoof, wondering how she could do that but decided to do that later, Hopefully this form doesn't mess up my skills, she thought as she flung the whip at the demon wrapping it around his neck, so he couldn't call for help as it squealed like a pig and was pulled into the darkness of the cavern.
"Let us out of here! You big jerks!" yelled Rainbow as she struggled against her bindings. Applejack had her back facing her also in bindings as they sat in what looked like a mining camp where demons would transport crystals to the palace. Rainbow squirmed again yelled out in rage.
"Rainbow calm down, there is nothing we could do right now." said Applejack.
"That's easy for you to say! My wings are killing me in these ropes!" retorted Rainbow Dash.
Applejack sighed in defeat and dropped her head, as she still felt Rainbow struggle and bark at the demons that were ignoring her to let her go. Applejack notice on of the demons grinding his teeth together and put his claws over his ears. "Will you just shut up!! I can't think straight!" barked one of the demons stomping over to the two ponies.
"Well let us go then." grunted Applejack, "and we'll make sure ya' won't get too much of ah' beat down."
The demon then burst out laughing and lifted Applejack by the neck causing Rainbow Dash to thrash around trying to get free to help her friend. Applejack gulped as she was now eye level with the demon. "You two have guts, I'll give you that, But do you really think you can take me?"
"Maybe if you take ah' breath mint we could show ya'." scoffed Applejack with a sly smile.
"No one insults me!!" said the demon as he grabbed his spiked club and raised it to end Applejack's life. Rainbow eyes went wide and struggled even harder but to no avail. Applejack's eyes went wide as the demon brought the club down and everything went in slow motion for her. She felt her life flash before her eyes, from her as filly working in the orchard to her and her friends becoming the Elements of Harmony. She closed her eyes waiting for impact but it never came. She opened her emerald irises to see the one known as Lilith holding the club of the demon.
"Easy my child, there is no need for that." she whispered in the demons ear as he relaxed, "Go back to the others I will deal with these two myself." The demon just nodded before setting Applejack down and walking off back through the crystal caverns leaving the three alone.
"So, you must be Lillith?" spat out Rainbow.
"Yes, and I'll watch your tone with me, I can end your life with just the snap of my fingers."
"The why did ya' help me?" asked Applejack shifting her body to a sitting position.
"My master has plans for you, and he won't have much use of you if you're dead." answered Lilith caressing Applejack's cheek.
"What does he need us for?" asked Rainbow.
"You'll soon find out." said Lillith now standing, "But for now, let's have some fun." Applejack's and Rainbow's eyes went wide as they watched Lillith's hands glow a bright yellow and lift them in the air.
The demon howled in pain as Fury put more pressure into it's back with her hoof. "Now tell me where can I find these elements?" she asked in a stern voice, her patience driving thin. The demon slapped his hand on the ground multiple times before Fury loosened her grip on the demonic beast. He breathed heavily and wheezing gasping for air.
"Well?" asked Fury.
"There's two of them being held by Lillith," said the defeated demon, "Just head down that path and they'll be there."
"How do I know you're not lying."
"And pass up the opportunity of you being shredded by the mistress herself, no chance!" screamed the demon as Fury wrapped the whip around his neck and snapping it with one pull. The demon's body went limp and fell face first into the ground. She retracted her whip and galloped down the path.
"I hope I'm not too late, or Death will kill me, but I think he's grown too attached to these things." she stopped and looked back to where she came from thinking if she could just leave. She then looked back down the path and heard another scream, Fury sighed in defeat and ran down the path, "You owe me for this Death."
Rainbow Dash moaned in pain as she was lifted of the ground unconscious, Applejack squirmed in the magic grip but couldn't break free. Lillith brought Rainbow to her face and gave her a quick peck on the mussel. "I guess she couldn't take the heat." said Lillith now turning her gaze towards Applejack.
"You'll pay for this, I swear-"
"And what can you do?" said Lillith cutting of Applejack as she walked over to her with a seductive smile, "Once my master is through with you, you and your little friend will be my personal play things." Applejack then spat on to Lillith's face with a glare making her step back a few steps wiping her face. "Seems like someone deserves to be punished like their friend here."
Lillith brought a hand to Applejacks cheek and caressed it softly making her shudder from the touch, she then slapped Applejack across the face making her cry out in pain. Applejack hung her head low but only for Lillit to bring it back up and slap her again, this time causing small trickle of blood to came from her nose. She repeated the action for a couple more minutes before stopping and looking in to Applejack's emerald irises.
"There is one way for it to stop," said Lillith lifting up Applejack's head again, which now had a black eye and bruises,"All you have to do is beg."
"Ah'll n-never submit to a v-varmit like ya'." whispered Applejack in pain, which made Lillith grit her teeth and pull out her sword and brought it over her head to bring it down on the element of honesty, only for a whip to wrap around it and have it pulled from her hands. Lillith turned around in rage trying to figure out who dared to interrupt her 'playtime'. Her eyes widened in shock to see a grey mare, with grey irises, a dark purple mane and tail, blue and yellow cloth wrapped around her forelegs and neck.
"Well, well who do we have here?" asked Lillith dropping Applejack on the ground.
"I think you already know." snapped back the mare.
"Fury? What happened to you? You're.....different."
"Say what you like, I actually like the change, I'm more faster and agile than I ever was."
"Well see about that." Lillith said as her sword flew into her hand and swung it at Fury, who simply rolled to the side dodging the demonic blade, and morphed her whip into her own blade. She charged Lillith and attempted to stab her midsection, which Lillith blocked away and delivered a swift kick to Fury's muzzle making her slide back a few feet. Lillith leaped into the air, with the help of her wings, and started to shoot blasts of demonic magic at Fury who simply deflected each one that came at her with her whip turned sword. Fury deflected one of the blasts into the wall next to Lillith stunning her for a brief period of time. Fury then morphed her blade back into her whip and wrapped it around Lillith's torso bringing her from the air and having her crash down to the floor. Lillith made a mighty scream that caused a dozen demons to burst through the crystals and surround the pair.
"Not bad," spat out Lillith who was now pointing at her with her sword before disappearing in a blaze of fire, "Kill her."
The demons complied and all flew after Fury who pulled out another whip and charged the demon horde. She flung a whip causing it to jam right into one of the demons skull and flung him around making him crash into another group. She used her other one to whip at one's arm slicing it clean off as the other whip wrapped around ones neck and with a forceful pull decapitating the demon. Fury moved with grace as he sliced and whipped through the demon horde. With the last demon standing she morphed her two whips together and wrapper it around it's neck. The demon roared in pain trying to break the whip around it's neck but to no avail. Fury then jumped and clang on the ceiling of the crystal cavern and pulled the demon up making it gasp for air as it was being hung. With one final pull the demon's body went limp and she landed gracefully on the floor and walked over to the injured Elements of Honesty and Loyalty.
"Are you alright?" Fury asked helping Applejack to her feet.
"Ah'll be fine its just ah' scratch, but I don't know about Rainbow." Fury looked over to the Rainbow maned pegasus on the ground she went over and placed a hoof on her neck.
"She'll be fine, but I need to get you two to safety."
"Hold on. just this darn minute, who are ya'? Ya' can't just save us and then boss us around?"
"The names Fury, my brother has sent me to fetch you."
"Ya' mean Death?"
"Yeah, and my other two brothers are rescuing your other friends as we speak."
"Well it seems like ya' telling the truth, but there is one more thing though."
"Shoot."
"Why are ya' a pony? Aren't ya' supposed to be like Death? All we be explained once we meet up with the rest of your friends." Applejack nodded in understanding. Fury then walked over to Rainbow lying unconsciously on the ground and putting her head under stomach and lifting her on her back.
"Come on we have to get out of here before more of them comes." said Fury as Applejack nodded and went deeper in the caverns.
The trio walked through the crystal caverns in silence. Death said that these mares were all powerful, I don't see it they sure didn't seem like it when they were with Lillith, I sure hope he knows what he's doing. she thought as she kept getting glances from Applejack but every time she would look back she would look away like nothing happened.
"What's wrong?" asked Fury.
""Well ah've been thinkin', Death said he had brothers, he never mentioned a sister." replied Applejack.
"Yeah, all my brothers say that, yes I am their sister but they prefer they call me their brother."
"And why is that?"
"Don't know."
There was a short moment of silence until Rainbow shifted on Fury's back and slowly opened her eyes. "Ugh, my head, where am I?" asked Rainbow as she shook her head.
"Seems like your friend is awake." said Fury.
"Rainbow! Are ya' alright!" asked Applejack with concern.
"Yeah, who am I riding on?" asked Rainbow flapping her wings slowly hovering to off of Fury's back and on to the ground.
"This here, is Fury, Death's sister, she saved us from that Lillith character and is now taking us to see the others and the rest of Death's brothers."
"Wait, when did Death have a sister? I thought he only had brothers? Which brings up another question how did you all get here?"
"Like I said all will be explained once we meet up with your friends and my brothers." said Fury as she noticed sunlight up ahead, "Come on we're almost out"
The trio walked through the opening only for Rainbow and Applejack to gasp at the destruction of Canterlot. buildings were partially destroyed, debris laid in the once great streets. Carcasses of ponies litted the sidewalks. Rainbow gritted her teeth then felt a hoof on her shoulder, she looked to see Applejack shaking her head. She was right this was not the time to grief they had to find the rest of their friends and put a stop to this.
The trio ears perked up as a demon came crashing through the wall of a shop with a great sword in his back. Fury smirked when she saw her brother War emerge with two more ponies. Twilight and Fluttershy glanced at Rainbow and Applejack and they both ran to each other and wrapped into an embrace as they all cried together. War walked up next to Fury and gave a silent nod.
"I'm guessing yours was a success?" asked the black stallion with the red hood.
"Yeah, those girls must be really important."
"Why is that?"
"Because Lillith was the one guarding them."
"Lillith?"
"Yeah, but it was nothing I couldn't handle."
"Don't underestimate her."
"I know, I know." said Fury as she and War walked over to the group, "Ok, since we're already together all we have to do is wait for Strife then we'll meet up with Death and Luna when they get Celestia." Twilight's and Fluttershy's hearts dropped to their stomach's upon hearing this as they dropped their heads, and the most surprising for Fury is that War did the same.
"Twi, Flutters what's wrong?" asked Rainbow, which caused Fluttershy to sob and wrap her forelegs around War.
"Princess Celestia, is gone." Twilight responded.
"Gone? what do ya' mean gone?" Applejack asked.
"I mean she's d-dead." stuttered Twilight as she tried to hold back tears, Rainbow dropped her and Applejack took off her hat in respect.
"How do you know she's dead?" asked Fury causing Twilight to pick her head up.
"I'm not saying anything, but just as a new flash, demons will always say anything to get under your skin, so don't listen to them and as for Celestia have hope and if she's alive I'm sure Death and that Princess Luna will save her." Twilight wiped the tears from her eyes as so did her other friends and they all nodded. War coughed in his throat causing Fluttershy to quickly let go of him and with her cheeks burning.
"So what do we do now?" asked Fluttershy.
"For now we keep moving and see if we can find Strife and once we find him and the rest of your friends we'll go get Death and Luna. Just pray to the Maker that we get there in time." explained War as the six quickly and quietly snuck through the ruins of the Equestrian capital hoping that Strife would find the rest of the elements.
Strife ran down the streets firing his pistols behind him hitting two demons in the face as more of them kept the chase. Strife then jumped on the side of the building and began to climb to the top. Once the demons lost sight of him he took the opportunity to slip in the shadows and watched as the demons ran past.
"Ugh, where am I supposed to find these elements good thing I'm got used to this new form quickly," Strife said in frustration, "Death really needs a good talking to when we get out of this."
He peaked out from his hiding place and noticed that there were no demons in sight he cocked his pistols and holstered them and began to tread down the ruin streets of Canterlot. He glanced at the damaged buildings, pony corpses littered the ground, he hadn't seen this much destruction since Earth.
"Well, even though I don't care for these things they still didn't deserve this." said Strife to himself.
He continued his walk until he reached what looked like a garden, with different kinds of statues. The statues looked like the mythology ones back in the Kingdom of Man but he put that aside as he treaded through the gardens continuing his search. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a growl he quickly spun around and sighed in annoyance as he drew his pistols. Standing before were five Hellhounds snarling at him and circling him like a wolf pack trapping it's prey.
The one of the five jumped at Strife who immediately got a bullet through it's skull. Two more jumped at him and tackled him to the ground the three rolled as the other two hounds gave chase. Strife bucked one of the hounds of him as he shot two rounds into the other's stomach. Strife quickly got to his hooves and glared at the remaining three who howled in response Strife quickly looked around him to see small pits of fire forming around and more Hellhounds emerging from them.
"You have got to be kidding!" said Strife as he morphed his pistols into his shotgun.
One of the hounds jumped at the rider and Strife pulled the trigger causing a loud bang to echo through the air.
Rarity slowly opened her eyes, she had a small migraine rushing in her head. She glanced around and noticed she was tied up to a statue. Rarity looked around worriedly as she began to panic, until she heard a familiar voice from the other side of the statue she was tied up on."
"Wow! When we get out of this I am totally throwing a 'Demons took over Equestria party'!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie.
"Pinkie, darling! Is that you?!" exclaimed Rarity.
"Yeperoonie!"
"What happened?"
"OH! We were that really really fun ride, until Tirek decided to ruin the fun and capture us and split us up, he took me and you here with some other guys watching us, but they left for some reason...hmmm... oh well!"
Rarity now was worried, she and Pinkie are being held hostage by these brutes and the rest of her friends are somewhere probably being tortured. Rarity ears perked up when she saw the demons that left, according to Pinkie, come back. Sweat started to bead on her forehead at the sight of these beast. She didn't know why but they looked worse than when she encountered them in Appleloosa.
"Look one of them is awake." said one of the demons as he marched over to Rarity.
"Don't touch me!" said Rarity as she struggled against her bindings.
"Don't worry, you're lucky we were ordered not to do anything yet, or this would be much more fun."
"Why are you guys such meanies!" yelled Pinkie Pie.
"We're not meanies, just teaching you ponies a lesson."
"A lesson? About what?!" yelled Rarity in anger.
"You'll see..." smirked the demon as he stomped over to Rarity and Pinkie who were now shivering in fear.
Strife fired another round from his shotgun as the last hellhound dropped dead to the ground. The shotgun morphed back into his two pistols and he holstered them. Strife then began to proceed through the gardens, he glanced around and noticed the statues of what looked like mythological creatures. He then stopped and noticed one of them looked like Luna, but was different. First of it was male, tall too, with what looked like a golden mane and tale. Strife made the assumption that this may be her father, but his eyes widened when he saw the so called 'cutie mark' on his flank.
"I-it can't be!?" said Strife in disbelief as he backpedaled but tripped on his own hooves, "There is no way HE can be her father!"
Strife thoughts was then interrupted by a ear punctuation scream, he put his hooves over his ears in pain as the scream subsided. He looked in the direction it came from and quickly galloped towards it. Strife was still surprised how fast he got used to the body and how easier and comfortable it felt.
He skidded to a halt and quickly hid in a bush and peeked out. Strife saw two demons clutching their heads in pain, then glance over to two mares tied up to one of the statues. One had an alabaster coat with a stylish purple mane and tail, while the other one had what looked like a deflated poofy mane and tail and was all out pink.
"It seems I found what I came for." Strife whispered as he cocked his pistols.
The demon clutched his head in pain as so did his comrade when Rarity screamed from atop of her lungs. Rarity though still looked terrified but Pinkie gave a smug smile at the demons and stuck out her tongue.
"You guys better back off before she screams again!" yelled Pinkie.
"Damn you ponies!" shouted one of the demons pulling out a club and stomped over to Pinkie who was now looking a little nervous.
"H-h-hey now, c-c-can we talk about this?" asked Pinkie nervously as Rarity screamed again only to be slapped by the other demon and be knocked out. The demon raised his club ready to end Pinkie's life only for the other demon to stop him.
"Wait." said the demon as the other one looked at him with a confused look.
"What, I was about to have fun." said the demon putting the club to his side making Pinkie sigh in relief but then worry for her unconscious friend beside her.
"Somethings wrong, the hellhounds should've been back by now."
The demons then heard the sound of a dog whining in pain they turned their heads to the source of the noise and saw a hellhound with bloodied holes in it's body struggling to stand on it's feet but drop dead in front of them. The demons had a look of fear on their faces as a figure stood in the darkness.
"You made a mistake snatching these ponies." it said.
"And who in Lucifer's name are you supposed to be!" spat on of the demons.
"I am one of the riders of the legendary horsemen," said the figure as the demons blood then ran cold, "I am Strife!"
Pinkie and Rarity, who was now coming back to her conscious, noticed that the figure was a grey earth pony stallion, with metal hoof platings, a brown man, two tubes like objects at his sides, and what looked like a helmet that resembled a big cat. The demons then burst out laughing as Strife sighed in annoyance knowing this was the reaction he was going to get.
"Strife?! What happened to you!" chuckled one of the demons.
"Yeah, you're a freaking pony!" said the other.
"Hey maybe we ca-"
BANG BANG
Rarity and Pinkie watched as the two demons dropped dead with two sized holes burning in their skulls, Strife holstered his pistols and went over and untied the two mares. Strife was then taken by surprise as the two mares tackled him to the ground with a massive hug.
"OHHH! I knew my knight in shining armor would come." chimed Rarity.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" exclaimed Pinkie.
Strife groaned and pushed the mares off of him. ""It was nothing, but now we need to get to Death and-"
"Death is alive!" yelled Pinkie.
"Yes, but we have to-"
"Then you must take us to him so we can help the rest of our friends." added Rarity.
"Your friends are already taken care of, but now we need to-"
"Then we must-"
"SHUT UP!!!" yelled Strife losing his patience as both mares went absolutely silent. Right on cue a demon burst through the one of the statues bloodied and beaten the three turned to see the rest of the elements of harmony and the other two horsemen.
"Rarity! Pinkie!" the four said as they ran towards each other and shared an embrace.
"Have fun?" mocked Fury with a smile.
"Don't start." grumbled Strife as Fury and War let out a chuckle. The six mares broke their embrace as they all gathered around wondering what to do next. The three horsemen explained who they were and how they got here to when they saved them from captivity.
"Luna and Death! I can't believe it!" chimed Rarity in excitement, "I can see the foals now."
"We can worry about that later," said Twilight, "What do we do now?"
"Right now we wait until Death and Luna frees this Princess Celestia then we stand together and take down Samael." explained War.
"How in hay are we supposed to do that?",asked Applejack "If ya' haven't noticed the castle is swarmed by them demon fellers."
"I hate to say it but Applejack is right how do we get past them?" came in Rainbow Dash.
"You don't." said a deep voice as the three riders drew their weapons and the mane six got into their defensive stances. Tirek then came out of the shadows followed by a group of demons snarling in anger.
"Tirek." growled Twilight.
"Twilight Sparkle, it seems you and your friends have escaped......as expected."
"Wait! What! You knew we were going to escape!?"
"Of course I did, but I didn't expect to do it so quickly which makes me take precautions." Tirek then let out a mighty roar, the mane six and the three horsemen covered their ears to keep their ears from bleeding. As Tirek kept on roaring demons from every direction surrounded them until they were completely trapped.
"Nice mating call," commented Strife as Tirek stopped roaring.
"How many of these guys did you call." asked Fury as Tirek gave them a menacing smile.
"HAHAHAHAHA! You think these demons are here to fight!? Then you are sadly mistaken!" the nine looked at him in confusion at what he meant but soon realized when he opened his mouth and all the demons in the area howled in pain as their very essence was being stripped from their bodies and being absorbed by Tirek. As he did that he grew ten times his size his horns increased their length and also growing two more horns as well his teeth was full of canines like a shark and his eyes was a blazing red. The mane six and the three horsemen was shocked at not only his new form but the entire demon army that was rampaging and destroying Canterlot was now bones and ash.
"He doesn't look so tough." said Strife as he pulled out a pistol and pulled the trigger only for Tirek to catch the bullet in his fingers and crush it into dust. Strife eyes widen in shock, no one could crush his bullets! Let alone catch them!
"Now if you want to get to your friends you have to go through me." said Tirek as he fired a giant yellow beam at the group.
Canterlot Throne Room
Death and Luna burst through the doors of the throne room, to see Princess Celestia on the ground.
"Sister!" yelled Luna as she ran towards her.
"Luna wait!" Death tried to warn her, but it was too late. For she was blasted back by a minor beam of demonic magic. Lillith and Samael came from the shadows with a smirk as Death helped Luna to her hooves.
"Look who came to play." said Lilith
"Give me by my sister!" demanded Luna as she charged up her horn only for it to dimm back down, she frowned and tried to charge it up again only for the same thing to happen. She then looked to see Samael's hand glowing a reddish-orange. She put two and two together and found out that he was limiting her magic! But how?
"Not so fast, you need to earn her if you want her." said Samael sitting on the throne while spreading his demonic wings for effect. Before Luna could answer Death stepped in front of her with his scythes drawn.
"You will not...argh!" Death screamed as he surrounded by an orange aura and paralyzed. Luna looked in fear as Death screamed in pain.
"STOP IT!" yelled Luna with tears forming in her eyes.
"There is only one way to stop it my little pony," said Samael with a smirk, "See if you can take your sister from me and I will let him go."
"Are you sure?"
"I maybe a demon but I never break a deal." Luna glanced at her sister then at Death, then back at her sister again. If she chose her sister she would run the risk of failing and letting all of Equestria down, but if she didn't Death, now her special somepony, would perish.
"Don't...do it!" Death painfully screamed out. Luna then gave an apologetic look towards Death and glanced back at Samael.
"I'll do it" said Luna now walking towards her sister.
"Excellent, go on take her." motioned Samael with his hand. Luna nudged Celestia's limp form, when she did not respond she started to worry, but then Celestia began to stir Luna's eyes beamed with happiness. "Come on sister let's-" Luna was cut off by Celestia's eyes shining yellow and her mane and tail engulfing in a bright ember of flames. Luna braced herself as she was bucked of her hooves and on to the ground.
Death struggled in the magical grasp trying to help Luna but to no avail. Luna slowly got to her feet and looked at Celestia with a worried and confused look.
"Celestia, sister, stop! This isn't you!" cried out Luna.
"Celestia is no more!"boomed Celestia in her royal Canterlot voice, "You may call me Solar Flare!"
Solar Flare sent a fiery blast at luna who simply teleported away and sent a blast of her own, only for Solar Flare to dodge out the way and charge her. Luna was then rammed by the possessed Sun Goddess and was sent flying across the floor, she wobbled to her hooves but almost got smashed by a piece of debris that was thrown at her.
Solar Flare lifted another piece of marble from the floor and chucked it at Luna who blasted it to pieces, Solar Flare covered her face from the shattering pebbles, which gave Luna the opening and bucked Solar Flare square in the chest sending her a few yards back.
"Sister, please! This isn't you! The demon is manipulating your mind!" yelled Luna which only made Solar Flare chuckled with a malice tone.
"What makes you think he is manipulating me?" asked Solar Flare, "Lord Samael showed me of what could happen if I trust the riders, and for the sake of Equestria I will NOT let that happen!"
"Is terminating half the population of Canterlot, and leaving the rest to be slaves worth it 'Tia!"
"Obstacles must be removed for the greater good and right now I'm about to remove another." Solar Flare then spread her flaming wings and shot towards Luna like a bullet, who put up a defensive shield only for it to shatter like glass from the impact. Samael chuckled at the display everything was going according to plan, the riders are separated, the two deities have turned on each other, Crowfather is no more, and the elements are trapped with his son and his army-
Samael's smiled then faded, why couldn't he sense all of them? It's like a third of the demon hoard went missing. He then looked away from the battle and glanced at the ponified Death still struggling on the wall to get free of his bonds, he knew those wouldn't hold him from long so he glanced at Lillith who noticed his change of expression.
"Is something wrong my king?" asked Lillith as she tilted her head to the side.
"Go check on my son, I have a bad feeling that something will ruin our progress." said Samael putting a hand to his chin with a stern look.
"Yes, my king." owed Lillith as she flew out one of the broken glass windows and out in the streets of Canterlot.
Outside Canterlot Castle
The group scattered s Tirek sent a magical blast at them. The three riders drew their weapons and charged the over powered demon as the main six took cover inside a building. Strife fired a couple of shots only for the bullets to bounce off of Tirek's skin, he was then knocked away by Tirek's massive hand. Fury lashed her whip around his arm only for him to tug her from her hooves and through a building. War lept into the air and striking Tirek with the blunt end of his great sword.
Fury and Strife recovered, and joined back in the fight. The main six watched in awe as the three riders moved with grace around Tirek surrounding him on all sides. Strife jumping over Tirek firing bullets onto his back and dodging swings from his massive arms. Fury slashing at Tirek's face only for him to dodge and try to blast her with his magic. War, while trying not to be stepped on stabbing and jabbing Tirek's giant hooves.
"I had enough!" yelled Tirek as he slammed his fist on the ground creating a shockwave knocking the three riders back.
"We have ta' help them! They won't last long without Death." said AppleJack.
"Yeah, I can't stand watching from the side lines lets go kick some flank!" yelled Rainbow ready to shoot off in the air.
"Thier right, if we are ever going to make it through this we have to do it together." said Twilight, as the rest of the group nodded.The six ran from their hiding place and charged Tirek only for them to be stopped by an invisible force the six got knocked back as Lillith floated down and landed between them and Tirek's battle with the three riders.
"Going some where. Elements?" she says with a smile as her hands started to glow a bright yellow and two demonic swords formed in her hands.
Solar Flare had used her magic to throw Luna up to the ceiling, she collided with an impact that cracked the surface. Luna slowly recovered and glided down to the floor only to be slammed into her side and sent tumbling across the ground. Luna was cut and bruised, she couldn't face her sister alone. She slowly tried to get up but a hoof was brought down on her back making scream in pain as she felt a rib crack. Death screamed Luna's name as he struggled harder cracking the wall he was binded on.
"C-C-C-Celestia, p-p-p-please." choked out Luna her eyes now filled with tears. Solar Flare looked at Samael who waved his hand.
"Go on, end her pathetic life." said Samael, as Solar Flare smirked and her horn lit up Luna closed her eyes as she waited, but nothing happened she cracked one eye open to see Solar Flare sprawling across the ground like a rag doll. She turned to the other direction to see Death free from his bindings scythes at the ready and breathing heavily with anger.
"Are you alright?" asked Death as he helped Luna to her hooves.
"What does it look like." answered Luna as Death let out a chuckle. samael let out a growl, he rose from the throne and stomped down. Solar Flare got up slowly and went to his side returning the glare.
"It seems i will have to deal with you myself rider." spat Samael, 'Solar Flare finish off the Moon Goddess, leave Death to me."
"Luna," said Death gaining her attention, "let go."
Luna tilted her head in confusion, "What do you mean?"
"I know you've been holding back, but the fate of your realm and others hang in the balance."
Luna hesitated and closed her eyes, then nodded, "Alright."
Luna stepped forward and her horn started to glow, her eyes shone a bright white as she was lifted from the ground. When the light dimmed down Solar Flare eyes went wide and if Death had a mouth he would be smiling.
"Here take this," said Death as he handed her the same green vile that he used on her in the cave, "Are you ready for this Luna." said Death coming to her side with his dual scythes ready.
"Yes I am, and call me Nightmare Moon." with that said the Death and Nightmare Moon charged the two. Death threw his scythe at Samael who teleported out of the way and behind Death swatting him away. Nightmare Moon tackled Solar Flare and the two tumbled across the floor, Nightmare Moon bucked Solar Flare off of her making her slam into a pillar bringing the support down on top of her.
Death slashed at Samael but he kept teleporting out of the way. He slashed at Samel again who again teleported but Death was ready this time and swung his scythe behind him slashing Samael's cheek. He roared in pain as Death formed his scythes in to his mallet and swung straight into his stomach knocking the wind out of him. He was about to bring the mallet on his head but Samel sent a demonic blast at Death's chest knocking him backwards.
Nightmare Moon put up another deflecting another attack from Solar Flare. Sweat forming on her brow not knowing how much she could take the solar attacks. When she noticed her shield start to crack she decided it was time to end this and go help her coltfriend, since he was buying her time to turn Solar Flare back to Celestia.
When Solar Flare was charging up another attack, Nightmare moon took the opportunity and teleported from the blast range. She appeared in front of Solar Flare the two interlocked horns as a blue and red energy collided and mixed in to a magical current around them.
Nightmare Moon knocked Solar Flare on her back and pinned her to the ground. Forcing Solar Flare's mouth open Nightmare Moon pulled out the green vile and empty the contents in Solar Flare's mouth and down her throat. She gagged at the taste, Nightmare Moon stepped off of Solar Flare and reverted back into Luna.
"Come on sister fight it!" exclaimed Luna with hope in her eyes. A bright light consumed Solar Flare and when it dimmed there laid Celestia with her alabaster coat and rainbow mane. She stirred and opened her eyes only for them to well up with tears when they landed on Luna, the two shared a loving embrace.
"I thought I lost you!" cried Luna.
"I'm not going anywhere soon." responded Celestia.
"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting." said Samael as he tossed Death in front of the two. Celestia's eyes went wide, was this really Death in front of her? How did he become a pony? "Death!" sceamed Luna as Celesia was snapped from her thoughts as she and her sister helped Death to his hooves.
"I'm fine, glad to see you again princess." said death making Celestia smile. Death took out his scythes and got in a defensive stance with Luna on his right and Celestia on his left with their horns charging up,
"You really think the tree of you can take me on." said Samael with a wicked grin.
"Samael, you have tormented these beings long enough now it's time to pay the price." responded Death.
"So you'll throw away your life so recklessly then?"
"That's a question you'll have to ask yourself."
"I'll crush you with my bare hands!" yelled Samael slamming his fist in the marble floor causing the entire throne room to explode.
Twilight fired another magical beam at Lilith who simply deflected it again with her sword. Lilith then dodged the next beam and flew up to Twilight and smacking across the muzzle making her momentum go towards the side of a building. Lilith laughed loud in the air only for it to be cut short by something wet hitting her back. She turned around in anger to see Pinkie with her part cannon smoking at it's barrel.
"STAY AWAY FROM TWILIGHT MEANIE PANTS!" screamed Pinkie as she fired another cake hitting Lilith in the face making her fall over.
Applejack then used her lasso to tie her wrists together while she was dazed but then got kicked away by her foot. Lilith growled and snapped the rope and wiping the icing from her face only to get rammed in the stomach by Rainbow Dash. She staggered from the hit and quickly found her balance, Rainbow Dash tried to ram her again but Lilith dodged the attack and elbowed her to the ground. Twilight now recovered blasted Lilith in the back knocking her off of Rainbow and into the line of fire of Pinkie's party cannon which she blasted again making Lilith fly through the side of another building.
"You brats are really starting to annoy me!" yelled Lilith stepping out the building.
"Well these brats are gonna kick your flank in to next week!" yelled Rainbow bringing her hooves together. Lilith drew back out her swords and charged the four again yelling like an animal as she did.
Rarity and Fluttershy were taking cover in a nearby building watching the fight between Lilith and their four friends. Fluttershy was scared beyond belief as she was curled up close to Rarity whimpering like a child. Rarity rubbed her man cooing to her that everything is going to be alright, even though she didn't. Lilith is a tough opponent to beat and without the elements or the Rainbow power they don't even have a chance. Rarity then glanced over to the three (pony turned) siblings of Death taking on the overpowered Tirek.
War gave a punch to the demonic minotaur's face and managed to swiftly dodge one of his mighty arms. Fury cracking her whip on to Tirek's back , but only for him to grab it and throw her into the nearest buildings, while Strife couldn't land a single hit with his pistols due to Tirek putting up a shield every time. "Guys do you mind keeping him still for me!!?" yelled Strife struggling to find a mark on TIrek.
"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFEAT ME IN THIS FORM!!!" shouted Tirek as he grabbed Fury's whip and pulled with all his might and slammed her into War. Strife finally finding a target pulled the trigger and shot the bullet straight through his shoulder. The demonic minotaur let out a scream of pain and anger and focused his sights on Strife who instantly went pale.
"Well, shit." simply said Strife as he was blasted by a beam of magic and slammed into a random house making it explode on impact.
"Strife!!!" yelled War and Fury slowly coming to their hooves. Tirek let out a maniacal laugh and face the two horsemen.
"Your deaths are near horsemen." chuckled Tirek as the two ponified riders roared in anger and charged Tirek. War felt all the anger release from his body and transformed into his chaos form and ramming Tirek causing him to fall on his back. Fury using her whip to slash at Tirek but was grabbed by the powered demon and she was once again yanked away into another building. He then turned his attention to War in his chaos form growling in anger.
The two titans stared at eachother and charged.
Death opened his eyes to find that he wasn't blasted to bits, but a golden and blue dome surrounding him and the two princesses, who were panting and had sweat pouring down their faces. Samael had a smirk on his face at the sight of the three beings. Luna and Celestia dropped the shield and glared at the demon king, Death doing the same as he pulled out his scythes.
Two sister powered up their horns and nodded to one another before firing both of them at Samael which he deflected with a flick of his wrist. Death taking the opportunity ran up to him and and jumped bucking him in the face causing the demon to stagger back a bit. The two princesses then spread their wings and took to the air firing magical blasts at Samael, but only for them to just leave black marks on his red skin. Samael swatted Celestia in to a nearby wall and was about to do the same with Luna, until Death came out of nowhere and cut his hand with his scythes, before the hand struck Luna.
Samael growled in pain as he held his now cut hand Death took the opportunity to climb up the Demon and send a kick to his nose causing him to tumble over on his back. Death leaped in the air and swung his scythes in a downward arc to finish of the demon lord but Samael teleported before his blades met his chest and appeared on the other side of the room clutching his now wounded hand.
Death got in a defensive stance as Celestia and Luna joined at his sides, eyes glaring at Samael."I will not be made such a fool of! shouted Samael as his hands started to glow again and shot a powerful beam of magic at the three. Acting quickly the two sisters locked their horns together and channeled their magic as one and fired the a beam back. The two blasts connected causing a force to knock Death off of his hooves, he watched in awe at the beam struggle before him, he had to admit he didn't expect Luna and Celestia to be this powerful.
"L-Luna," panted Celestia, "I can't h-hold it any longer."
"Just hold on sister!" replied Luna, "Just a little more!"
Luna's eye widened when she spotted her sister's horn starting t fade our and their beam of magic getting weaker, Samael noticing this chuckled to himself and applied more force into his attack.
"Death!" screamed Luna as the horsemen nodded and drew his scythes once again, he rushed the demon and sent a kick into his knee cap causing Samael to kneel in pain. The demon lord tried to swat Death away with his free hand but was bucked in the face, Death then landed and pulled out his revolver and fired a shot at Samael's glowing hand canceling his attack on the two sisters.
Samael didn't have a chance to react as the magical beam by the two sisters hit him in the chest, he stood his ground as the beam collided into him as he skidded towards the ledge of the balcony. Death acting quickly formed his scythes into his double bladed staff and amputated both of the demon's wings. Samael howled in pain as the blast sent him over the edge causing him to start his plummet to the Canterlot streets below, but before he fell he grabbed Death by his hind legs and dragged him with him.
"Death!" screamed Luna in worry as she saw her lover get dragged down with Samael. Luna and Celestia spread their wings and shot of after the two. Meanwhile, during their descent Death and Tirek were trading blow after blow. Tirek sent a punch at the horsemen's gut as Death returned a buck to Samael's nose.
"You will burn along side you pitiful friends! growled Samael.
"You will try," replied Death, "and you will fail."
We'll see about that.
Death eyes widened when he felt something pierce his abdomen he looked down to see the demon's claw in his stomach and protruding out of his back. The rider coughed up a large amount of blood as Samael laughed in victory, but it was short lived as Death mustered up whatever strength he had left and impaled the demon his his right shoulder.
Their screams were silenced as they both collided with the pavement down below.
Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow, and Pinkie were blown back back Lilith, the four were out of breath. They threw everything they had at the dark mistress but there was no effect. Lilith glided over to the four and landed with grace as she licked her lips. "And here I thought these elements would be a problem." she said in a mocking tone.
"Y-you shouldn't underestimate us." spat out Twilight.
"Yeah! W-we were just warming up!" added Rainbow.
Lilith chuckled, "Are you serious? Here you four are..defeated and you still think you can win?" she walked over to Pinkie and grabbed her by the neck and hoisted her up. The girls squirmed to help their friend but was encased in an orange aura making them stay still, Pinkie with fear in her eyes watched as one of Lilith's swords levitated to her neck.
"Ya' dirty-" grunted Applejack trying to break free of her bonds, but to no avail.
"P-please, this isn't fun anymore." cried Pinkie as Lilith gave her a confused look.
"You think this is a game?" asked Lilith, "You ponies are something else, I would have prefered you to stay alive so you can be my new playthings, but...."
Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow screamed out Pinkie's name as the sword swung towards Pinkie's neck. The pink mare closed her eyes with tears streaming down her cheeks waiting for death to come. Time seemed to slow down as her life flashed before her eyes, she saw when she got her cutie mark, to when she arrived in Ponyville and meeting her friends.
Everything came back to full speed when a gunshot rang through the air, the sword dropped to the ground with Pinkie clutching her throat gasping for air. Her friends now free rushed to her side checking to see if she was okay instantly looked to Lilith who stood still eyes wide and mouth wide open.
With a bullet sized hole in her throat.
She collapsed on her back with a thud revealing Strife behind her panting heavily and a hoof clutching a wound on his side. He limped over to Lilith who was wheezing out blood and decided to end her misery by pointing his gun down and shooting a bullet through her skull. The dark mistress fell limp as Strife turned his attention to the mare in front of him.
"Th-thanks." said Pinkie.
"Don't mention it." replied Strife, but before the girls could say anything Fury galloped beside her brother.
"Strife did you help- oh never mind." stated Fury as she caught her brother from falling over from exhaustion, "You girls alright?"
"Hey guys," commented Strife, "Kind of bleeding out here."
"Oh shut up! You'll be fine."
"Wait a minute!" shouted Rainbow.
"What is it Rainbow?" asked Applejack
"Where's Fluttershy and Rarity?"
The two riders glanced toward to where War in his chaos form was duking it out with Tirek. The four mare looked in horror knowing that Rarity and Fluttershy were somehow in the area of the two titan's brawl. Strife broke the silence with one word as they rushed to the two battling titans.
Fluttershy and Rarity cowered inside a nearby abandoned building, watching as the two titans, known as War and Tirek clashed. War, in his Chaos Form sent a downward strike with his sword, trying to split the demonic centaur in half. Only for Tirek to swipe away the sword with his bulky arms and sent a punch to War's chest sending him a few meters back. The yellow Pegasus and white unicorn couldn't believe what they were seeing, they knew Death was powerful himself but to know that there are three more beings out there that can match his power....the two just couldn't fathom it.
Another tremor shook the nearby area almost knocking her of her hooves, she regained her balance and looked to see war on his back, She looked in worry when she saw him revert back to the to the bulky black earth pony, with his sword by his side. The Rider cursed to himself, as his time limit was up in that form. He grabbed his great sword and stood his ground and watched as Tirek let out a loud laugh and stalked forward.
"HAHAHAHA!!! It seems Rider, that your limit is up. What do you do now?" taunted Tirek.
War growled, "I do not need that form to defeat you demon."
"You can't be serious...you and the other two riders could barely touch me in this form let alone my last one."
"Please I could handle you easy, if I stop holding back."
Tirek's eyes widened, that can't be right. he was for sure giving everything he had and the rider turned pony said he wasn't even giving his best effort? No. He had to be bluffing to make him scared and reckless so he could get an opening, "You think a bluff like that would help? I'll tear you apart and mount your head on my wall!"
War kept his stoic expression and griped his sword tighter, "Not if I get yours first."
Tirek roared and charged, with War doing the same. it was to fast for Fluttershy and rarity to see, all they heard was the sound of metal against flesh. they watched as War suddenly landed covered in blood, that made them sick to their stomachs, they then looked over to Tirek frozen in place. They watched in horror has his head slowly separated from his neck and collapse to the ground with his body doing the same.
War took a deep breath and sheathed is great sword before turning and seeing Strife, Fury and the four ponies following them. He glanced over his shoulder and then saw Fluttershy and Rarity coming out from their hiding spots. "Where's the witch?" asked War as his brother and sister walked up to him.
"Dead," calmly said Strife, "Took a good bullet to the neck."
War nodded"And Death?"
"Still haven't heard from him since he went to find the princesses." replied Fury.
War nodded again as the large stallion focused his gave on the six mares, "Are you six alright?" he asked.
"A little shaken up," replied Twilight, "But I think we're good."
"W-was killing them really necessary?" asked Fluttershy, "I mean...I know they were bad, but...."
"Listen, yellow pony," interrupted Strife, "Tell me, if we had kept them alive. What would that have accomplished?"
"W-we could change them?"
Strife let out a loud laugh as Applejack raised a brow, "And what's so funny?"
"Excuse Strife," stepped in Fury, "what he means is that those two were demons....and demons don't change."
"But we changed Discord!" protested Pinkie.
Fury and Strife gave confused looks as War answered for them, "I read about this Discord back in the Crystal Empire, he is only a spirit NOT a demon."
"So what!"added Rainbow, "that doesn't mean you should kill them."
"Girls!" exclaimed Twilight gaining everyone's attention, "As much as we disagree with Death's Sibling's methods, we don't have time to argue."
"The purple one is right," added War, "We need to find Death and aid him with Samael."
"Why?" asked Rarity, He is Death, so does that mean he can't technically....ahem...perish."
War shook his head, "Only a select few has the power to kill us and Samael just so happens to be one of those. And as Powerful as Death is facing Samael alone is still a risky move even with the two princesses, who may be weakened, by his side. Which is why we need to locate them before he gets his hands fu-"
A loud tremor caught their attention as they all turned their heads to the castle and watched as Death and Samael plummeted to the ground causing another tremor to rattle underneath their hooves.
"Well," said Strife, "Speak of the devil."
Samael cursed under his breathe as he shakily picked himself off the ground, one of his horns has be snapped of, with one of his arms being immobile. Not to mention a deep wound embedded into his shoulder with blood gushing out, caused by a certain horseman. Speaking of so Death was in a similar state, blood coming from the stab wound in his stomach and his hair more frazzled than before, he slowly got to his hooves but only to fall back down in the concrete street of Canterlot.
"Death!", the horseman looked up to see Luna and Celestia's descending forms. Both of them, especially Luna, had looks of worry and fear on their faces as they saw Death's beaten form. Luna quickly went by his side and gasp at the gaping hole in his abdomen.
"D-Death!" she screamed as she tried to lift the stallion to his hooves, Death grunted in pain as Luna panicked and gently placed him back on the ground.
"Sister, we need to heal him now!" cried Luna.
"Luna, we barely have enough power for a simple levitation spell..." started Celestia but was interrupted by Luna.
"Then we do the spell together! I am not losing him!"
Celestia nodded as she and her sister both turned to Death, the two alicorns interlocking their horns together making them glow in a mixture of blue and gold. The struggling form of the horseman was then encased in the light as his the wound began to heal, the two sisters were surprised to see his form begin to change as well.
The rider was encased in a bright light as the two sisters covered their eyes, when it died down they were shocked to see Death back in his original form. As he struggled to his feet, he patted himself trying to make sure he wasn't dreaming, he gave a glance toward Celestia and Luna for an explanation but they gave an uncertain look in response.
Death then turned to see Samael with a scowl that could melt mountains, Death glared back as he started to walk toward the demon but was stopped by a hoof wrapping around his hand. He looked to see Luna giving him a pleading look as Death shook his head.
"No," Death said already knowing what the lunar princess was thinking, "I'm finishing this, you and Celestia are too exhausted."
Luna opened her moth to interject but closed it, and nodded, "Just come back to me."
Death knelt down and stroked her cheek and resting his forehead against hers, the rider than stood and began his advancement on the demon who did the same. Samael held his now bleeding shoulder and let out a primal roar.
"I WILL NOT BE KILLED! TODAY YOU AND THE PATHETIC CREATURES! WILL DIE BY MY HANDS!"
The demon then charged as Death did the same pulling out his two scythes, Samael's eyes widened when he saw the rider be engulfed by purple smoke and enter his reaper form and spreading his bone-like wings and twirling his giant scythe before throwing it at the demon. Samael didn't have time to dodge as the blade pierced his chest making him stop and fall on his knees.
He watched as the reaper floated towards him the darkness in his hood peering straight in to his demonic soul, until it whispered, "The hero never dies in the end."
Death then grabbed the giant blade and pulled it straight out of his chest as blood began to spew out like a fountain. and with one final swing sliced the demon in his mid section causing both halves to separate, spilling out Samael's innards. The purple smoke encased Death once again returning him to his original form as he walked toward the two princesses Samael's blood painting his mask.
"I-Is he..." started Celestia.
"Yes, he's dead." simply said Death, "Can both of you walk?"
The two sisters nodded.
"Good, judging by the quietness my brothers and sister should be finished with their fight."
Celestia gave him a curious look, "Brothers and sister?"
Luna gave a cute giggle, "It's a long story sister."
"I have time."
Death nodded, "Alright I'll fill you in on the details while we go find the others."
Celestia nodded as the the three of them walked into the city of Canterlot as the corpse of Samael turned into red smoke and dissipated into the ground.
