"Oh but my dear Luna, you are the prize here! I will savor taming you..." I was lifted off the ground by my wyvern as I pointed my lance at Celestia, as she was the only thing standing between me and my prize.

"You are a monster Valter! You will never win!" Celestia shouted as my wyvern dived towards her, my lance screaming through the air aimed for her heart. Before I could impale that annoyance on my lance a beam of concentrated light was fired from her horn and scorched my breast plate. Growling in frustration I put away my lance and pulled out a javelin, allowing me to attack Celestia from afar. Circling around for another try my wyvern let out a blood curdling screech and landed not to far from her. Aiming in the blink of an eye the javelin had already left my hand and was sailing through the air towards Celestia, who noticing it at the last second was impaled through the leg.

"Ah yes, I will enjoy running you through..." I jumped off my wyvern and stalked up to Celestia, a wolffish grin adorning my face. Looming over her, I placed the tip of my lance at her throat and pushed slightly being rewarded with a hiss of pain as a few drops of blood weeped from the wound. "Oh Celestia, you don't know how long I have waited for this moment..." I said, my voice husky with arousal as I withdrew my lance only to slash downward, cutting her dress open to reveal her large breasts. Something slammed into my left side, sending me flying through the air. My wyvern screeched and lunged at Luna who simply sent a beam of moonlight into its right wing. With a screech of pain my wyvern flew away, losing altitude as it tried to get away from the moonlight.

"You are a monster Valter. It sickens me to know that your title has anything to do with the moon." Luna said as she assisted her sister in standing. I laughed as six stones floated around the two, glowing a strange light as I felt power build up inside them.

"My dear Luna, you are as much a monster as me!" I stood up and laughed in their face as a rainbow was shot from the stones and blasted me, an excruciating experience as my whole body was turned to stone. My last sight was the most beautiful and strong willed mare I had met in this land.

My eyes shot open as stone chips fell from my body, my lungs burning for air as I coughed up dust. After my coughing fit I brushed off the rest of the stone chips and stood up straight, looking around I found myself in a garden. "Ah how long was I out?" I stretched, my muscles stiff and my bones aching. Scratching my head I sighed in relief, finally being able to get rid of an itch I've had for a long time. First things first, I was going to need to find a weapon, as I doubt the sisters would appreciate me taking a stroll. The Demon King was smiling upon me as a guard walked into the clearing, holding a spear.

"I'm going to need that." I said with a toothless grin as the guard jumped, thrusting his spear towards me in surprise. Grabbing it inches from my face, I easily overpowered the stallion and turned the spear on its owner. Before he could react I lunged forward impaling his throat, a strangled gurgle was the only noise he made before he crumpled to the ground. I frowned. "You've gotten slow Valter. You know what happens to the slow." I stepped over the dead guard and walked through the hedge maze. I don't remember the princess's having one at their palace, but that just shows how long I had been imprisoned for.

Finally finding the exit to the maze, I was surprised at what I saw. This wasn't the royal palace?! Looking out over the sprawling city I could see from here that we were on a mountain. So they moved away from the Everfree? Interesting... Deciding that I didn't really care why they had decided to move to a different location I stepped into the castle and was instantly attacked by a group of guards who had been standing guard. They obviously didn't realize that spears were superior to swords as I easily dodged their attacks and killed two of them leaving one to try and defeat me.

"I haven't had fun in a long time, so why don't we play a game?" I said as I jammed my spear into his unarmored armpit, the tip sticking out his shoulder. He cried in pain and tried to pull the spear out, which I twisted and listened to him scream before I tore it out of him and slashed his throat. My armor and the spear were covered in blood as I giggled like a kid who just got a new toy. "Ah, it's good to be back." Wiping the blood off with a curtain I continued through the castle, gutting every guard that I came across. Eventually I found a grand double door that must be twenty feet tall and ten feet wide!

Knowing full well what must be behind it I pushed both doors open and made my presents known as I laughed at the sight before me. Sitting on the throne was Celestia who looked different than the last time I saw her, did she put on weight? Standing in front of her was a purple unicorn that for some reason reminded me of that head-ache Starswirl. Celestia was looking at me in horror as the unicorn simply jumped in surprise and looked at me in confusion. "Celestia! It's been too long! Have you gained weight?" I said as the unicorn seemed to grow angry, but Celestia reached out and stopped her.

"How did you break free Valter?" She said in a horrified whisper as I stalked towards them, an evil glint in my eye.

"I have no idea. All I know is that we have some unfinished business..." I sprinted the rest of the distance and stabbed for her heart, but the pesky unicorn had to get in the way. My attack went through any barrier that was thrown up except for the unicorns gut, which I speared right through. Blood and half digested food spilled out of the hole as she tried to stop her intestines from sliding out.

"NO!" Celestia screamed as she knocked me back with a blast of magic. She grabbed the unicorn and began to heal the wound, giving me plenty of time to get up and prepare for another attack. A bright flash of light blinded me as I growled in annoyance and stumbled back.

"Valter!" A voice gasped as I finally cleared my eyes and looked up to find a goddess of beauty.

"Luna..." I whispered as I looked over her body, which had all the right curves. Before she had been a pure flower that I wanted to tarnish, but now she was a rose bush that was in full bloom! "Oh has time treated you well..." I said as her cheeks blushed red, an angry frown a blemish on her beautiful visage. "I must have you!" I shouted as I lunged forward ready to catch my prize who had eluded me in my final moments. A beam of sunlight bashed me out of the air as I fell on my back, my spear sliding away from me.

"You are going to pay for this Valter!" Celestia was up and she defiantly gained weight, as I don't remember that much meat hanging from her chest and ass.

"I am a man of patience..." I stood up and backed away from the two angry immortals that were baring down on me. "Therefore I can wait longer to claim my prize..." I bolted out the throne room doors as bolts of magic flew after me. I was much faster than Celestia who was weighed down while Luna was hot on my heels, giving me a thrill I hadn't felt in a long time.

"I am the hunter now Valter!" She shouted as she fired more magic at me, which I dodged with little effort.

"We shall see soon my love..." I said, taking a sharp right turn then turning around which surprised Luna long enough for me to grab her horn with one hand and her throat with the other. Smiling I bit her cheek hard enough to draw blood as she yelped in pain, her horn lighting up to cast a spell which I put to a quick end by pulling it harshly. She screamed in pain as her horn fizzled out as I kissed her passionately while strangling her. Her squirming made me much more aroused, but this was no place to brake my prize. When her squirming stopped I hoisted her over my shoulder and continued to sprint in case Celly hadn't passed out from exhaustion yet.

Finding the entrance hall I was happily surprised as five mares and four guards turned their gaze on me. "Hey, what do you think your doing with the princess!?" A cyan pegasus shouted at me as she flew through the air at high speeds towards me. Sadly, she wasn't that fast. Side stepping her attack as she crashed through a wall I punched a pink pony who had been sneaking up on me and dodged a kick from an orange mare. Kicking the orange mare in the kneecap a cracking noise filled the air as she fell to the floor, clutching her broken leg. Raising my foot I was about to stomp her head in when one of the guards hit me with his sword, which bounced off my armor.

"You think that pitiful sword will harm me?" I said as I head butted the guard and tossed Luna at two others who dropped their weapons to catch her. Breaking the last guards neck I grabbed Luna from the guards and punched them both in the face. A chair hit me and made me stagger as other furniture was lifted into the air by a white unicorn. Grabbing a chair that was thrown at me I hurled it back, hitting the mare in the head. Turning towards the entrance of the palace a butter yellow pegasus was blocking my way out. "You have to be joking..."

"You hurt my friends, so I'm not going to let you get away." The mare said as she glared at me. An animalistic part of me shuddered in fear while the human part of me scoffed. Walking up to the mare I grabbed her by her hair and dragged her out of the castle kicking and screaming.

"You really thought you could stop me? You are cute, if my wyvern was here I'd let her have you as a play thing." I said as I tossed her down the steps. A popping noise signaled the arrival of that unicorn and Celestia, who was currently panting like a dog.

"Stop right there Valter, your not taking the princess anywhere." The unicorn said in a voice that made me want to butcher her. Gritting my teeth I charged forward pushing the two out of the way as I made a mad sprint for the city gates. It wasn't long before a blockade of guards and mages stopped me, fortunately I was very acrobatic. Running up a cart that was tipped over I jumped over the guards then used Luna as a shield as I bulldozed the mages. The gates were in sight as I ran, a large crowd of guards chasing after me. They were trying to close the gates!

Kicking it into overdrive I left the guards in the dust as I dove under the gate, just making it out before they shut. Laughing like a mad man I sprinted into the forest where they would be hard pressed to try to follow me and my prize.

I pulled my lance out of the stallions chest as blood spilled out of the wound like a waterfall. It felt good. I knew that I had been different before, but now I had an endless bloodlust, and I loved it! I was stronger than I had ever been, I didn't even need to wear glasses anymore! It felt liberating. When I killed something I could control myself better, not just running off of instinct like an animal. I know that I used to have loved ones but now I didn't need them anymore, I had my two fellow generals Riev and Caellach. My wyvern was the only family I needed.

"Sir, should we continue to kill these citizens? They are just innocence." One of my aides asked as he watched the rest of my army slaughtering a small village. My wyvern growled as I turned towards the aide who had spoken up. I ran my spear through his chest while my now two aides backed up slightly.

"Does anyone else want to ask a dumb question?" I asked looking into their eyes, fear shone like a light in their eyes.

"N-no sir." They replied in unison. I grinned evilly as I gave a low whistle and kicked the body of my dead aide. In the blink of an eye my wyvern had grabbed the body and was greedily devouring it. I pet it while a shower of blood rained upon me.

"Good. I knew you two were smarter than that..." I said as I climbed up on top of my wyvern and settled in her saddle. Looking back I saw that my aides had mounted their wyverns and were ready to fly. It was an interesting process when I had to teach these crystal ponies how to ride a wyvern. Good thing that their were wyverns that lived locally, or else they would have to ride on something else as horses were just a bigger version of these ponies. This land was strange, but it was where the Demon King had summoned me to and there was plenty of ponies to kill.

Flying into the air I could see smoke stacks where Caellach's army had marched through the villages that were located on the eastern side of this land. The village of Manehatten sat in ruin bellow me while I could see Riev and his unholy army of monsters and undead heading down the middle of the country to the pony princess's palace. I was some what jealous that he got to fight actual armed forces that were guarding the city while I was to take all the villages and cities on the west coast. But their was still fun to be had with poorly armed civilians...

A bright flash of light blinded me briefly while I rubbed my eyes trying to see again. Finally my vision returned to me and what I saw shocked me. A gorge had been formed in the land when something had blasted it apart, most likely Celestia had decided to personally take care of Caellach, which meant only one thing... I had my wyvern dive to the right as a blast of magic flew past at amazing speed. Looking down where the blast had come from I noticed that my army was being destroyed by bat ponies at the edge of a forest. Flying down to the battle field I found my opponent waiting for me.

"COME, FIGHT THEE ON LAND!" A mare shouted up at me as my wyvern landed not to far from her. She had both wings and a horn meaning that she was an alicorn, and their were only two alicorns...

"You must be Luna..." I said as I watched her every move. She was used to being a hunter, but she would be much better if it was night out.

"And thou must be Valter, The Moonstone." She said with an air of royalty that was destroyed by the curve fitting black leather armor that she wore. She carried in each hand a short sword, one a brilliant white like a full moon while the other was as black as a new moon.

"You are as lovely as the moon... But as mysterious as the dark night... You are a prize that I wish to obtain." I said as she prepared to charge me, though I doubt that she would get anywhere near me.

"Now!" She shouted as a group of archers burst from behind cover and aimed at me, Luna charged at me as they fired volley after volley. I laughed as I simply waited for the arrows to slam into my fili shield, which had been upgraded from its origanal use by the Demon King, it now protected me from archers and the like. The first volley rained down upon my shield, a light blue bubble appearing around me and my wyvern as the arrows were destroyed. Luna stopped her charge in confusion at my strange defense as my wyvern with lightning fast speed flew towards her. She had barely enough time to roll to the side as my lance only grazed across her armor.

"You will never escape me princess!" I shouted as she ran into the forest, her troops retreating from the battlefield after her. One of my aides flew down to me and saluted.

"Sir, should we follow?" He didn't have anytime to react as my lance severed his head from his shoulders.

"I told you not to ask dumb questions you dolt." My remaining aide landed next to me and saluted.

"Sir, your men are chasing after the enemy. They won't be able to escape us sir." I grinned and clasped my hand on my aide's shoulder.

"You know exactly what to do." I said as he saluted again and took off. I knew that once night fell the enemy would have vanished as if they never existed. I now had something that would be more thrilling than killing unarmed civilians. Luna would retreat back to her palace to regroup her forces and would attack again. She would only get to the doorstep before I arrived. "More time to savor the hunt... And the kill."

I awoke as a beam of sunlight landed on my face, waking me up from the heat of day. Sitting up I yawned and stretched my weary muscles protesting after all that I had done yesterday. It was a miracle that I had been able to run for so long, as it had been a long time since I last moved. I stood up shakily and noticing that the fire I had made went out walked over to a pile of thick branches I had collected last night. Starting another fire I looked over at my prize, who was glaring at me. "Your finally awake." She said with a growl that made me frown.

"You stayed awake the whole night." I stated as I noticed that she had bags under her eyes. I had made sure that she wasn't going anywhere. I was a very paranoid man and had placed a small bundle of supplies near the large mountain in the center of the country, which so happened to be the location of the princess's new palace. It had been a steel lance and a ring that when placed on a unicorns horn made them unable to use magic which had been given to me by the Demon King. The ring was still there but the lance was rusted pretty badly, but was still useable. Thankfully Luna had stayed unconscious until nightfall but by then I had stolen some rope from a caravan and had tied her up with the ring on her horn.

"Alicorns can go days without sleep." She yawned and continued to glare at me. I believed her, but she obviously had gotten too used to sleeping everyday and staying awake every night. I walked over to the corpse of a manticore that had attacked me last night after I had gotten the fire set up. The thing had been easy to kill but had broken my lance, it had been a great dinner and would be a nice breakfast, but I would put its bones to use. Tearing a hunk of meat from the corpse I found an acceptable stick and used it to hold the meat over the fire.

"How can you eat meat?" Luna asked in disgust with a pinch of curiosity as I looked over to her lazily, giving her a toothy smile.

"I'm not a pony if you hadn't noticed yet..." I said as I returned my attention to my breakfast. "I'm a human, and we are omnivores." I slowly rotated the meat so that it would be cooked on all sides. It didn't take long before I thought that it was cooked enough. Looking over at Luna again she didn't look like she was going to be sick as I had thought.

"Most of our neighbors and even some locals like dragons and diamond dogs eat meat. I have dined with griffons before." She said as if reading my mind, which seeing as she couldn't use magic would be impossible. I looked down at the meat and back up at her, she gave me a grimace when she realized what I was thinking. "I would rather not eat meat." She said with a gag as I shrugged. If she didn't want to eat that wasn't my problem. Biting into the meat I hummed happily as it was the second meal I had eaten in... I don't know how long.

"How long was I imprisoned for?" I asked as I continued to eat my breakfast, grease from fat running down my chin.

"Around 1500 years." Luna said as I almost choked on my breakfast, causing me to cough for a few minutes. I had expected it to have only been a few hundred years, not over a thousand! This changed everything! I was going to have to find where my fellow generals were, as I had seen poor Riev sealed in stone, and I had no doubt that Caellach had shared the same fate. And my wyvern... Tears openly fell down my face as I mourned the loss of my only family member. She had been there for me up until the end, making sure that I was never hurt in battle.

I wiped away the tears and took a deep breath. Crying for those that were gone would not help me, and only made me look weak. A voice in the back of my head told me that it was ok to cry for my lost family, but I quickly pushed it back into the deepest part of my mind. Standing up I threw the rest of my breakfast into the forest since I had lost my appetite and stalked over to the dead manticore. It had broken my lance, but it's bones and stinger would make a nice spear. Cracking my neck I grabbed one of its front legs and pulled until I heard a ripping sound.

Looking down I saw that the only thing that was keeping the limb attached to it"s torso was some tendons. Reaching over I pulled those out and payed them to the side as I would be using it later, and finally got the limb free. I heard retching sounds behind me and didn't have to look behind me to know that Luna had thrown up whatever she had eaten for dinner the other night. It would surprise most that I was so strong, but when you are given inhuman strength by the Demon King you can pretty much do anything like this easily. I couldn't rip a tree from the ground or pick up a boulder that was the size do a house, but if I wanted to I could easily tear limbs off or leave a dent in a shield.

Setting the limb next to the tendons I went around to behind the corpse to get it's stinger. Grabbing ahold of it I punched the caudal segment just bellow the stinger. I think I learned about that in a biology class, but everything before the Demon King summoned me is blurry. Before long the stinger was free from the rest of the tail and I brought it over to my other materials. I cleaned the leg off of fur and muscle until I just had a segment of bone only about two feet long. This was going to be a small spear, only measuring about three and a half feet as the stinger was a foot and a half long.

Taking the bone I put four claws each a foot long at the end of it on the sides tips facing each other and tied some strips of tendon around them and heated it over the fire. The tendon shrank, holding the claws glued to the side of the bone. Taking it away from the fire I placed the stinger in between the claws, which held it firmly in the center. I wrapped the last of the tendon around the claws and stinger allowing the half a foot of the actual stinger to stick out. Heating it over the fire I was rewarded with a makeshift spear that had a venomous point.

Looking up I saw that the sun was directly over head meaning that it was noon, which gave me twelve or so hours to travel to the Everfree. I didn't need to get to the old royal palace but I did need to get to the Everfree, as the ponies never really liked it. The crystal ponies told me that it was because it was unnatural as clouds moved freely, plants grew by themselves, and animals fended for themselves. I had laughed at this, as it was the closest thing to my world and it was seen as unnatural. Walking over to Luna I found her shaking in fright as she watched me, an animalistic fear showing in her eyes.

"Now my princess, you and me are going to be taking a nice walk through the woods." I said as I put my arm around her waist and hefted her onto my shoulder. She protested for a bit saying that I was groping her ass and the such but I just ignored her and kept walking. I didn't have any trouble for a few hours until I ran into a group of patrolling gaurds that had hidden themselves when they heard me and Luna bickering.

"Your holding me too tight, I can hardly breath!" Luna whined as I sighed for what felt like the fiftieth time.

"I'm about to strangle you again Luna." I said as I walked into a clearing and stopped. Something didn't feel right...

"Why did we stop?" Luna asked as she squirmed trying to look infront of me. I simply waited and listened until I heard it, the sound of breathing. In a quiet forest it is very easy to pick out small noises, like a soldier who has been walking in full armor through a forest all day and is panting. I raised my spear and looked around, not seeing anything until there was a flash of metal in the sunlight. Taking off like an arrow I ran through the clearing, the clank of armor and shouts to halt following close behind me. Luna was yelling like a mad woman as she realized that we were being chased by gaurds.

I put a quick end to that by tightening my grip around her waist, causing her to yelp in pain as I almost crushed a few bones. I heard more running in the forest as two bat ponies burst from the forest and aimed their bows at me. The arrows were destroyed by my fili shield as I skewered one on my spear, throwing his body to the side I broke the others knee cap. Looking back I saw five guards closing in on me, and I knew that they would catch me eventually as I was weighed down by the princess. Standing my ground I killed the first easily as he didn't slow down in time it dodge my spear.

Dodging to the side the second's sword missed me and was stabbed in the throat, a chunk of flesh stuck to the barbed stinger. The third and fourth stabbed for my gut with their iron lances, but I was able to jump back in time. Throwing my spear like a javelin it stuck into the fourth's chest while the third stabbed for me again but I grabbed the lance and pulled it out of his hands which made him fall on his face. Stabbing that guard in the back I pulled the spear out and dropped to one knee as the fifth skewered himself on it, he dropped his weapon and coughed up blood as I twisted the lance, causing him to scream until he passed out from the pain.

Luna was sobbing as I walked over to the injured bat pony who was trying to crawl away from me. Stabbing the lance into her injured leg she screamed in pain as I twisted it. "Tell me, are you the only search party?" I asked as the bat pony looked back at me and shook her head.

"No, there are others who will show up soon and kill you." She said coldly and spit in my face. I wiped the spittle off my face and started twisting the lance again. Once I thought she had enough I stopped and asked another question.

"Do you have a map and a compass?" I asked as she nodded, tears streaming down her face soaking her coat.

"My companion has them." She said as I walked over to the dead bat pony and searched his body. Sure enough, he had a compass and a map of this part of Equestria on him, showing Canterlot, a town known as Ponyville, and the Everfree. Smiling I walked over to the bat pony as she watched me with equal amounts of hate and fear.

"Thank you for helping me, though I would normally enjoy torturing you until you died of blood loss I have a schedule to keep so i'll only break your other leg." I said cheerily as she looked at my with horror. Grabbing her uninjured leg I stomped on the knee cap, a satisfying snapping noise resounding through the forest. She screamed for a bit but passed out as I walked away, Luna still sobbing, which in my opinion is much better than her whining.

How it all Began

I stumbled as the world came back into focus. Everything was a jumbled mass of confusion that hurt the eyes and mind. It was like I was looking through a kaleidoscope but instead of nonsense they were... Memories? I stared on as different things flashed before my eyes, each more confusing than the last. I watched as I dueled against a man in red armor, but in the end I was victorious. I saw myself take his body to his brother and make him believe that some princess had killed him in cold blood. I shook hands with the administrators as people cheered, my high school graduation was pretty awesome.

The same mans brother confronted me, his spear some how getting past my defenses and stabbed me through the heart. OH DEAR LORD THE PAIN! "Urggh...Gaaaaah!" Was the final thing from my mouth before I fell off my wyvern. My first girlfriend slapped me, it stung but I just laughed because I didn't give a shit about her. One of my best friends introduced me to weed, which was a fun time had by all. I stared hungrily at the princess of Renais, her beauty and will was not an exaggeration made up by the people. I wanted her. I must tame her!

Something stopped the endless maelstrom of memories, a dark figure now stood in front of me. I tried to take a step back but something held me in place. "So, you are what has become of my general?" The dark figure said, it reached out a clawed hand and placed it on my head. All of a sudden a weight grew in my mind, my memories collapsing in on themselves. The only memories I had now were of... Valter, that's what my name is. Valter, The Moonstone. The clawed hand withdrew and a large smile grew on the dark figures face, it's large fangs sticking out of it's mouth.

"You are more than adequate for my plans." It said with a dark chuckle then disappeared, leaving behind only wisps of smoke. That's when everything went black. I awoke quickly, a cold sweat running down my brow. That had been some strange nightmare. That's what I thought until I looked around. I was lying up against a wall made entirely of crystal in a throne room entirely constructed out of crystal. I knew it was a throne room because there was a large black throne made of obsidian at the other end of the room. Sitting on the throne was a creature that scared a very primal part of me.

It wasn't so much it's appearance as the presence of it felt wrong in so many ways. The creature was bipedal, but had hooves instead of feet, much like a satyr. A dark grey coat like a horse covered it's body, it also had a muzzle instead of a normal mouth. It wore armor that befit a King, and wore a crown which basically proved it was a King. It had a curved horn that ended with a red tip, and it's eyes were the most unnerving part about it. It had blood red eyes and the whites were a neon green, wisps of a purple mist rose from the corners of it's eyes.

"Rise my minion." It said in a voice that sounded identical to the dark figure that had been in my nightmare. Standing up I walked towards the King without a second though or with fear in my heart. As I got closer I noticed the presence of two others. One was an old man that was hunched over slightly. He wore a long black robe and had gold cuffs around his wrists, his fingers ended in claws like a demon. Bags were under his eyes but a lopsided grin that would be seen on a man half his age played across his face, his red hair combed back.

The other was a man that was more around my age and height, a smirk ever present on his face. He wore a steel breastplate and shoulder pad but other than that he wore normal clothes. He hefted a large double sided axe on his shoulder, occasionally tossing it into the air and catching it by the hand again. He had a head of orange hair and a glint in his eye that said not to get in his way, or he would bulldoze me like he had many others. Stepping next to them we all brought our attention to the King who smiled kindly at us, like a father who was looking upon his sons.

"It is good to have my three generals back." The King said as he stood up and walked up to us, inspecting us to find something. Being satisfied with his inspection the King returned to his throne, a more malicious smile now playing across his face. "Valter, Caellach, you both shall be given an army, I expect you to train them." The King said with an air of finality. Me and the younger man nodded our heads, looking to the older man as he stood up a little straighter. "Riev, you shall raise Revenants and summon the other monsters of my legion."

"Yes my King." Riev bowed and teleported away in a strange glyph.

"It shall be done." Caellach said with and air of arrogance hike he twirled his axe.

"I shall have fun breaking my men..." I stated, seemingly having no control of my body. I walked out of the throne room with Caellach by my side, his smirk never leaving his face.

"So you are Valter." He said, his smirk growing slightly larger. I growled and turned to him, I pointed a lance that I hadn't realized I was holding at his chest.

"Do not test me Caellach, you know perfectly well who I am." I said, an edge to my voice that seemed to be a growl.

"Calm down Valter, I was only joking." Caellach said as he walked a little faster, easily out pacing my long strides. I shook my head at this and continued to the training grounds, my army wasn't going to learn to fight by themselves.

The walk to the Everfree was uneventful, though it was funny when I heard snoring and realized Luna had fallen asleep. Night had fallen not to long ago, but I didn't want to chance resting until I reached the Everfree. To keep myself entertained I talked to myself, as I wouldn't have much to talk about with Luna even if she was awake. "I wonder how the Crystal Empire is doing." I said as I walked through a large field. "Maybe the Demon King has been able to hold them off this whole time." I chuckled at that. It would be nice if he did but I had fought the princesses, and I have no doubt that he would beat them one on one, but together they would defeat him.

My head swam as a presence forced it's way into my mind, making me almost drop to my knees. "Valter, I am going to be banished. Find Riev, he holds the Dark Stone, he can summon me back to this plane of existence." The Demon King said as the presence was ripped out of my mind. It took me some time before the world stopped spinning, which I was amazed that I had been standing that whole time. The Demon King had been... Banished? I didn't even know that was possible! Who would have the power to banish the King of all Demons?!

"Unless..." It dawned on me that he had mentioned an artifact that he couldn't destroy no matter how hard he tried to, which was saying something. He had called it... The Crystal Heart. It was supposedly an artifact that would absorb the love of the crystal ponies and repel evil, which he had simply corrupted the king at the time so that he would seal away the Crystal Heart. After that he had taken the kings body until he was able to locate a temple that was supposedly hidden in the Everfree. Which is why we went to war with Equestria. They had no problem with the Demon King enslaving the whole Crystal Empire, but as soon as he took one step into their land they fought to the death.

It was sad that they spewed so much filth about friendship and harmony when they didn't even try to help their neighboring country. Realizing that I had been standing in the field just thinking I began to walk again and pulled out the compass to see if I was still heading south. Still going the right way I began to talk to myself again. "The Demon King is gone, but it won't be for long." I looked around and saw that far to my right was a village and just starting to appear in front of me was the Everfree. I could easily tell it was the Everfree just by how much more natural it was than everything else.

The rest of Equestria just had this wired feeling to it. The wind would blow but the clouds wouldn't move unless a pegasus moved them. The plants would grow but they were weak unless an earth pony took care of them. It was some of the strangest things, watching earth ponies water trees that shouldn't need to be watered and weather that was planned. Where was the natural order of things? No wonder Discord had shown up, the world was just trying to bring chaos so that it could balance with harmony. Discord had been a cool guy, though he was a bit insane at times.

"Heh, he did know how to have a good laugh though." I said as I remembered my first meeting with Discord. He had popped into existence in the middle of my camp while I was on a patrol and had turned one of my soldiers into a flower. When I asked him to turn him back into a pony he had shrugged and poured a glass of water on the flower. Within seconds the flower grew until it was the soldier again, who was shacking like a leaf from fear. I couldn't help myself and laughed for a good minute or so before I thanked him and asked that he help my men's morale. To say the least my men found him to be a great comedian and prankster.

Luna mumbled something in her sleep but I couldn't understand it nor would I have wanted to. She had started squirming and making some interesting noises not to long ago and unfortunately I was too tired to be in the mood. Though maybe before I slept once I made camp I would have some fun and begin to break her. My thoughts were interrupted by the beat of wings as I looked to the skies to find where it was coming from. From behind me I could see that there was a small group of pegasi that's err flying my way. It wouldn't have been hard to track me once I left the smaller woods and entered this field.

Looking back in front of me I wasn't that far from the tree line and once I was in the Everfree they wouldn't be able to follow me. Sprinting as fast as I could I was maybe ten feet from the trees when a pegasus landed in front of me, blocking my path. The soldier seemed sure of himself as the rest of them landed with him. In the end it was only six of them which wasn't a very fair fight, for them. "Hand over the princess and we won't hurt you as badly." One of the pegasus said, he sounded so sure of himself that it almost made me not happy to kill them.

"Listen weakling, I have fought more men than the whole Royal Guard combined and have lived to tell you that you won't win, so why don't you do me the favor and fight back with all you've got." I said with my infamous smile as I spun the iron lance that I had taken from the last guards that had tried to stop me. The pegasus growled and lunged forward, his lance slicing through the air fast enough to make a slight ripple. Too slow. I stepped to the side and he missed by an inch, the lance I wielded cut through his right shoulder which made him drop his lance.

"Tut tut, don't you know not to attack while angry? It makes you clumsy." I said with a wolfs grin as he retreated behind his fellow soldiers who attacked at the same time. Dodging jabs with difficulty as I wasn't used to holding someone while fighting, I swung my lance which hit the first pegasus on my left who got an extra smile below his mouth. The others flew into the air and dived down at me, one got skewered on while the others lances screeched off of my armor which awoke my passenger.

"What is going on? Are we being attacked?!" Luna squirmed as I held her tightly and still managed to hold of the remaining three as they tried not to skewer Luna's royal posterior. Using this to my advantage, I stepped into one of their attacks, making them purposefully miss and allowing me to punch a hole in their lungs. Drowning on his own blood the pony choked and fell to the ground struggling. The last two seemed ready to flee but I killed one before they could escape the other took off and fell to the ground, my lance sticking from his back.

Turning I found the injured pegasus about to fly and made a split second decision. Dropping Luna who made an adorable eep I tackled the pegasus who screamed as he fell on his injured shoulder. Flipping him onto his back I stood up, a wing in each hand and a foot placed on the square of his back. "Now, I want you to tell me if you have any friends who will be joining us soon..." I said as I began to pull gently but firmly as the pegasus whimpered.

"No, we were the last patrol I swear!" He said as I pulled harder, the grinding of bone could be heard as it was slowly being pulled from it's socket.

"Good, good." I stopped pulling but held them firmly where they were. "Now tell me, how has Ol' Celestia been doing?" I had a crazed grin on my face, I could feel it, but it just felt so good to be in control of this pegasus!

"She has been worried sick about her sister, especially when the survivor of the patrol that had encountered you was found." He said as quickly as he could, a hysteria in his voice that made me shiver. "Please let me go I want to live!" He said as he began to cry.

"Aww shhh you don't have to cry! I was going to let you live anyway!" I said as I let his wings relax as I only kept a loose grip on them.

"R-really?" He said as he looked back at me as I gave him a kind smile. My grin turned wicked as I gripped his wings firmly and with a mighty pull ripped them both off. His screams filled the air like a ballad from hell, a melody that filled me with excitement. He eventually passed out from the pain but I had spoke the truth when I said I was going to let him live. Taking out a vulnerary I used just enough to stop the bleeding and seal up the wound, but not enough to numb the pain. Walking over to Luna she was watching me with a mix of sadness and fear.

"I know that you can be compassionate and show mercy, but you show it in the worst of ways." She said as I picked her up and walked into the Everfree forest, a sad smile on my face.

"That's because a little voice in the back of my head tells me to." I said as I walked for ten minutes, and when I thought we were far enough in I found the tallest tree and climbed it while Luna hung onto my neck for dear life. Getting to the highest branch that I thought was strong enough to hold us both I laid down with my back to the trunk and held Luna to my chest so that she wouldn't fall off and drifted off to sleep.
