PRINCESS HEART, changeling princess has travelled to a specific universe in Equestria's multiverse to undo an evil Geas curse that's been casted repeatedly for the last 1000 years. Watch as she exposes a villain stealing a filly's body
PRINCESS HEART, a changeling princess and a daughter of Queen Chrysalis from Hive Chrysalis unable to shapeshift has been travelling all over the omniverse protecting it from the evil villains that would seek to destroy everything for their amusement. Today her journey has brought her to a specific universe in Equestria's multiverse to undo an evil mind controlling Geas curse that's been casted repeatedly for the last 1000 years by an Earth pony mare from Discord's time before his original imprisonment by the princesses of the Sun and Moon, Celestia & Luna.
Now watch as she exposes a villain who stole the filly, Applebloom's body for their own using the Geas and body switching spells to achieve immortality and how she'll make sure things are as they should be again and undo a tragedy caused by the actions of this mare. They'll travel eventually to Tartarus and meet Tirek the Centaur Ruler, Overlord and Judge in Tartarus to judge the mare for her crimes against Equestria.
This story is a sequel to Scary Story by Diamond Sparkle a wonderful writer and RPER. I wrote this story from a chat RP we did to tie up loose ends from the original story and change a tragic ending to a happy one.
A few references here and there are sure to amuse you all. And as a challenge to you readers, can you guess what each reference is and where they're from or what they're to?
Also to those who might be wondering, a Geas is a very vile and evil curse that controls the mind and body, forcing it to the will of the caster. If they want you to never speak of what they did to you, of using a Geas on you, they will order it and the Geas will imprint it in your mind. No attempts to reveal it yourself will work, it would take outside help to find out and break it. If they switch bodies with you, then use the Geas, they can make it to where you can never tell anyone who you really are and who the imposter is. Any attempts to do so whether by saying your name or even writing your name down will only come out as the name of the person who's body you're trapped in. Interestingly enough the series Code Geass may have used this concept for the Geass power seeing how there are similarities between the 2 now that I think about it.
PROLOGUE: The start of a new adventure! Prologue to a happier ending!
Several miles from Ponyville is a large, hidden changeling hive, full of red-shelled changelings and their music loving Queen Chelicerae, who summons her officers to her though rather unimportant to the events about to happen. Meanwhile in the town of Ponyville, at about the same time Twilight Sparkle the star student of Celestia and bearer of the Element of Magic, senses that a spell of great evil has been cast in Ponyville. In the outskirts of Ponyville a temporal spacial portal leading to a gigantic library appears out of nowhere and out of it comes a changeling princess by the name of PRINCESS HEART, a kindhearted royal changeling with an emerald green mane and tail and a purple bugshell and a heart of gold. The portal from whence she came leads to the universal library known as the Cosmic Library, connected to the multiverse and beyond. This is the story of how a filly who was killed in a curse was revived, the changeling princess who helped revive her, the hundreds of victims who suffered the same fate were finally able to rest in peace and how the evil that caused it all was finally after centuries of cheating death, living under false pretences and desecrating the dead was vanquished to Tartarus....or at least a deal was struck cause they all decided on a more suitable punishment for the criminal.
We begin our story here as Twilight Sparkle magical prodigy of Princess Celestia herself, sends Princess Celestia the co-ruler and diarch of Equestria a message through Spike the Dragon saying that something was very wrong. "Oh Spike I can just tell something's wrong. I sensed that huge levels of dark magic just was recently used. There's something ominous in the air. Spike, take a letter, the princess must know about this." Said Twilight Sparkle worried.
"On it Twilight!" Said Spike as he writes down what Twilight says and sends the message to Princess Celestia through dragon mail. "Alright the letter's been sent. I hope everything's ok." Said Spike a bit worried about what Twilight sensed.
"Me too Spike, me too." whispered Twilight Sparkle as she looked out the window in deep thought. Meanwhile outside in the outskirts of Ponyville where the portal is, PRINCESS HEART the changeling princess of love checks out her surroundings as she strategically thinks of her next move.
"Ok so this is that Scary Story universe I found out about a few years back. I wonder why I couldn't find this universe for so long since I first happened upon it? Could someone have purposefully been blocking any chances of fixing the problems here for their own evil goals perhaps? Well either way this shall be a start to stop the Geas curse I found out was plaguing this universe. It's finally time to fix things. Now lets see, I have my lie detecting spell, the truth-stone that that one Changeling Queen Twilight Sparkle I met helped me get from that one universe What was it called again? Oh yeah the Love is Life universe! And the Magatama spell in case I need it to find hidden secrets and all that when confronting the villain." said PRINCESS HEART as she checks her inventory before deciding to head into town.
CHAPTER 1: And so it begins, the truth is revealed!
Twilight hears from ponies talking about it that Granny Smith is dead now and she goes to comfort Applejack and Apple Bloom over their lost. "Oh my, this is horrible. I can't believe Granny Smith has passed on." Said Twilight sadly as she begins to gallop to Sweet Apple Acres. one fourth of the way there she sees that Applejack and Applebloom is headed her way with Granny Smith's body. "Applejack...I better meet up with her. Hey Applejack! I heard Granny Smith died, come to the library and we can talk about it." Said Twilight getting Applejack's attention and bringing her over to her as they head to the library and start talking about her death.
"Oh sugarcube I can't believe she's gone." Said Applejack with tears in her eyes.
"Same here Applejack. I'm here for you." Said Twilight as she comforts Applejack. "Spike bring us some hot chocolate please." Said Twilight getting Spike to bring in some hot chocolate.
"Sure thing Twilight." Said Spike smiling as he goes to make some.
PRINCESS HEART Walks into Ponyville and she started looking for Twilight Sparkle. "Hmm...In case I need backup, I should have PSYCHO PIE and SPECTRUM DASH on standby in case something happens. And I know ALICOR is always with me, being the Alicorn spirit of love and love itself. DEATH'S even ready to help if needed, especially in cases like these." Said HEART as she contemplates her options in case things go awry as she heads to the library and knocks on the door.
*Knock Knock* "Hello?" says Twilight as she opens it with a crying Applejack nearby.
PRINCESS HEART then heads inside undisguised being unable to even change for some reason that she hasn't realized yet. Since birth she's been unable shapeshift, a basic ability changeling are born with and taught how to use. Whether a disability or someone screwing around with her life for diabolically evil kicks is unknown even to her or her mother the queen of Hive Chrysalis. "Hello there." Said HEART smiling with 2 fangs showings showing as she greets them. The body of Granny Smith lies on the ground with a horrible look of fear and disgust on it's face and Applejack and Applebloom jump from PRINCESS HEART'S surprise appearance.
PRINCESS HEART'S smile doesn't falter dispite their reaction understanding why they have this reaction as she looks looks at the body with sadness on her face. "How sad, she died with fear on her face it seems...." *"Applebloom...inst​ead of the enemy. The Real Granny Smith never got to met her grandchildren because of her."* Thought PRINCESS HEART as she looks over the body and mentally her notes on the tragedy.
When they all see HEART is a changeling royal who is not Chrysalis, Applejack asks, rather suspiciously "Who are you and why are you in Ponyville for?"
PRINCESS HEART bows a bit and looks at Applejack expectantly. "I'm the Changeling Princess and Queen Chrysalis' daughter, of hive Chrysalis, PRINCESS HEART, the changeling princess of love. I'm kinda on a mission to undo a great evil that has been plaguing this universe of yours for centuries and finally bury it to rest for good and could use your help actually." Says HEART explaining her visit.
"I could try, although....I'm sad for poor Granny Smith." Said Applejack, sadness on her face as tears fall.
"I can see that. Judging by her look, I'd say she died from an heart attack while in great shock....and interesting enough, her death is kinda connected to my mission. Could you guys maybe have the filly, Applebloom there, leave the room please? what I have to say isn't something for a filly to have to hear." said PRINCESS HEART getting down to business with a serious look on her face, the air tense as she speaks.
"U..Um ok then Ms. HEART." Said Applebloom hesitating for a moment and then trotting outside. PRINCESS HEART watches her leave and then casts a silence spell around the room so only those in the room can hear the conversation, meaning those outside the library won't hear a thing said.
"Ok then, now that she's taken care of, There's something important you both need to know Applejack and Twilight Sparkle. but first, are either of you familiar with the cursed spell called a Geas?" Said HEART with a serious tone in her voice.
"I've heard of it, " Twilight says, "A spell to stop someone doing something. "And its not always used for evil." Twilight mentions.
"Correct, and often used together with a body or mind switching spell. Twilight have you sensed anything evil lately by chance?" Asked HEART getting straight to the point.
"Yes, a sense of great evil.....so Granny Smith was murdered by magic?" Questioned Twilight.
"Wait so Magic killed Granny!?" asked Applejack shocked all of a sudden.
PRINCESS HEART Shakes head her head as she responds. "No it was by natural causes that she died, old age and a heart attack to be exact but magic was involved sort of. And...it involved Applebloom as well from what I've observed when I first came across this specific universe. I travel the multiverse you see to undo the horrific evils that plague certain Equestrias. And I finally found yours again after something tried to lock me out. It pains me to say this but that wasn't Applebloom who left. It was an Imposter using her body." Said HEART with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"So Apple Bloom is....a changeling??" Yelled both Twilight and Applejack shocked.
"No. I'd know if any of you were changelings being a changeling princess and having access to the hivemind and none of you are changelings so that rules that possibility out. That was indeed the real Applebloom yet at the same time it wasn't. I mentioned the Geas combo. Do the math, connect the dots and the truth will be clear." Said HEART wisely.
"So.....Granny Smith.....stole Apple Bloom's body??! But I've known Granny for so long, she can't be evil. And how as an earth pony would she cast magic anyway?" Applejack asks shocked and confused at the relevantion.
"All Earth ponies have magic in them, it's what connects them to the Earth. But this magic was unicorn magic from back when Discord ruled before his original stoning. Back then all tribes could use such magic, including an Earth Pony named Shining Mirror." "You never knew the real Granny Smith sadly. She was killed in this same way in her youth by this same villain taking Applebloom's body for a joyride." Said HEART explaining the truth of what really happened.
"So....all this time....Granny Smith was a killer," says a very angry Applejack enraged over this info.
PRINCESS HEART stares at her and replies. "Pretty much only she didn't need to actually kill her victims. She pulled this off minutes before each of her previous victims would've died to ensure she'd stay alive while the last body died of old age. Shining Mirror, an Earth pony villain from Discord's time, desecrated hundreds of Unicorn graves for their horns to make into a necklace and bracelets. That's how she could still use her magic. Before Granny Smith died, Shining Mirror used that Geas combo to switch bodies again leaving Applebloom to die in Granny Smith's place of old age and heart attack from panicking just like all her previous victims, The real Granny Smith included." "A harsh way to go, never experiencing their life to the fullest." mentions HEART as she speaks.
"So.....I've lost my sister for good. That's even worse then the real Granny Smith dying." Said Applejack bursting into tears over this relevation.
CHAPTER 2 Death appears and the plan is set in motion!
"Well that's why I'm here. To undo this evil and bring back the victims. Granny Smith may have died back then but she deserves her life just as much as Applebloom did." spoke HEART.
The air chills a bit as DEATH makes himself known in the form of the legendary STEED REAPER. "Well said PRINCESS HEART. I also won't allow this villain to continue to cheat me and desecrate the dead." Said STEED REAPER.
"So you can unpossess Apple Bloom and banish the possesser to Death's realm?" Applejack asks Death and HEART.
"Yes both of us can if you haven't yet noticed the skeletal Earth Pony currently standing next to Granny Smith's body." says HEART pointing to STEED REAPER who isn't hard to miss.
Applejack is a little scared as she sees him speaking. "One day you will come for me, Death."
"...Yes I will...perhaps...Though you're the bearer of Honesty, you...may have immortality flowing through you because of it or you may be destined like Twilight there to be a alicorn princess. I don't know exactly but should either happen I can't claim you." claims STEED REAPER.
"So....how do we extract the Granny-thing from Applebloom?" asked Applejack.
"To remove Shining Mirror from Apple Bloom so we may punish her for centuries of malicious crimes against her fellow ponies, alive and dead, I'll have to reap her soul. Her time's come, it's been up for centuries. This faux immortality will cease. We need to trap her before she tries to switch bodies again later once she knows we're onto her. HEART will go to her first to distract and confront her. Applejack and Twilight, you'll lure her to the basement of Sugarcube Corner and close the door on her. There's nothing down there she could use to attack with and only one door so it's the perfect trap." Said STEED REAPER as he strategically plans out their game plan.
Applejack waits for her to be brought in. "So...want so hot chocolate as well?" Asked Spike a bit scared Death is here.
"...sure with marshmallows please." Said STEED REAPER nonchalantly. "Spike goes and gets DEATH some hot chocolate."
"I think that'll work well DEATH. With this plan we can corner Shining Mirror and get her to confess her crimes and as well as her motives for committing them." "I'm sure the princesses would love to hear them if they're brought into this and Tirek too." Said PRINCESS HEART as she gives her two cents on them plan.
CHAPTER 3: Confrontation, Changeling Princess vs. 1500 year old Earth Pony! A battle of wits.
PRINCESS HEART heads outside to look for Apple Bloom "Applebloom where are you? We have something to talk to you about. Come to the Sugarcube Corner please." Applebloom leaves her friends of the CMC and comes to the Corner to see what's up. Walking into Sugarcube Corner before Applebloom, PRINCESS HEART waits for her and when she comes, checks her and doesn't see the bracelets or necklace on her before sighing to herself. "Ok Applebloom I have something to ask you. Please answer honestly and if you do, there's a surprise for you down in the basement." HEART says smiling as she distracts her attempting to get her in the basement to spring the trap.
"A SURPRISE? Will it help me get my cutie mark?" Asked Applebloom.
"Yes it will. says HEART as she smiles knowing what the real Applebloom's cutie mark will be in the future and how she gets it. "So will you answer my questions honestly?" she asks.
"Of course, Princess." Said Applebloom as she prostrates herself to the Princess to show respect. "Ok then. Now lets see, would you say in your opinion you have a wonderful life? asked HEART.
"Yes, I do, apart from when I get teased for not having my cutie mark." she says.
PRINCESS HEART nods and speaks again. "And the 2 bullies who tease you need to be taught a lesson. Though, I wonder why they even bully in the first place? I wonder if deep down they wish to be friends but due to their personalities this happens instead? If given a chance would you help them? Befriend them?" She asks.
"I suppose I would try too."said Applebloom. PRINCESS HEART nods and smiles.
"Good answer Applebloom. Now come your surprise awaits." she says as they head into the basement where HEART confronts her while she waits for Applejack and Twilight to arrive, closing the door behind her to continue distracting her. "Here's a building set for you Applebloom. I know how you have a knack for building stuff and I'll bet that's your special talent." says HEART. *"It actually is but you haven't seemed to realize yet." thought HEART.*
Applebloom starts building a model castle more to please the Princess more than anything else. PRINCESS HEART Watches as she builds it before asking a question. How old are you exactly? ...Shining Mirror? Asked HEART as she activates the magatama and lie detecting spells by casting them.
"What?? I'm..... only ten years old." said Shining Mirror trying to lie glowing red as she lies.
"Lie. Applebloom is 10, you're not. How old are you?"said PRINCESS HEART glaring, not amused by the lie.
"I...do I have to tell you? Do you really want to know?" questioned Shining Mirror.
"Yes I do. And you're trapped here. You might as well come clean Shining Mirror. I'm not gonna hurt you unless you attempt to harm me. Answer honestly and do as I say and I'll see if I can't help your case some." says HEART.
"I am over one thousand five hundred years old." says Shining Mirror glowing green speaking the truth.
PRINCESS HEART looks at her and speaks. "I see. 1500 years huh? Ancient. Tell me, why did you do it? Why'd you use the Geas body/mind switch combo back then? you realize that you condemned many innocent ponies and foals to death just so you could live longer right?" questioned HEART wondering if she has any morals at all.
"I didn't want to age and die." Said Shining Mirror honestly. "There are better ways to go about trying to achieve immortality. You could've tried something that wasn't pure evil. You understand the consequences of your actions don't you?" asked HEART wondering if the mare before her realizes the severity of her crimes.
"So you want to turn me to stone then, a living death?" Said Shining Mirror freaked out and afraid of what HEART has in mind.
PRINCESS HEART *shakes her head and looks at her* "Like most Discords out there in the multiverse, I don't turn ponies or any species to stone. At least unless they're monsters trying to kill me and my friends and aren't resistant to stone. And it's not your body, we're not turning an innocent pony to stone to punish a criminal inhabiting them. You'll have to die sadly though because you escaped death for too long and he's already here for you anyway. You'll die and Applebloom and Granny Smith with both get their lives back. And her youth too since she missed out on much because of you."
"But my soul will be sent to Tartarus." Said Shining Mirror glowing green and afraid of her soul's fate.
PRINCESS HEART looks at her glaring as she speaks. "You should've thought of that before you dabbled in the Geas combo for the evil way, but if you're truly remorseful of your actions and wish to make up for the damage you've done over the centuries, well then I think DEATH can arrange something for you with Tirek the Centaur, lord of Tartarus." Retorted PRINCESS HEART.
"I don't want to die! please spare me I'm sorry!" Screamed a glowing green Shining Mirror now fully realizing how much trouble she's in.
PRINCESS HEART shakes her head as she speaks. "It's sadly for you too late for that, you've evaded death for centuries switching bodies. Because of that innocent foals ended up dying instead in addition to teenage and adult ponies. And you desecrated the dead for unicorn horns to make a a necklace and bracelets. This alone is punishable by stone if not death by banishment to the sun. Be glad I'm taking over the punishment and willing to be lenient with you because of your crimes because this is your first and only offense in your entire life." Said HEART.
The false Applebloom hangs her head in fear at what will be done to her and she tries to reach into a saddlebag. "Everyone will be here soon Shining Mirror. You may as well surrender willingly. We can work something out with Tirek. If we're lucky you'll be sentenced to community service in Equestria and won't have to worry about Tartarus." "At least then you won't suffer for your crimes and you can try to make up for them." said HEART bargaining with Shining Mirror who pulls out a unicorn horn and shoots a blast of lightning at PRINCESS HEART.
"..Reflect." Said PRINCESS HEART casting the reflect spell to bring up a reflective barrier in time and sends the lightning back at Shining Mirror's horn weapon. "I'm not stupid. I came prepared if you tried anything." Remarked HEART. The lightning hits the horn and shatters it to dust on impact. "Any spell you cast on me will return at you. I suggest for your safety and Applebloom's don't try that again." said HEART glaring.
"I'm going to die soon anyway." Said Shining Mirror.
PRINCESS HEART shakes head and speaks. "Doesn't matter, your time came long ago. But you obviously don't understand that death isn't the end. Every end is a beginning, every beginning an end. There's life after death, what happens then is up to you. I should know I've met many allies who are technically dead but don't let it get to them." Said HEART with wisdom.
Shining Mirror then asks "Can't you just put me in a cocoon and harvest my love instead?" "Then we would both gain from it." she adds.
"I'm mainly against that kind of fate actually and I make sure changelings and ponies can coexist in peace. It's better that way, we get love and ponies aren't harmed from the feeding because of freely given love. And death's waited long enough. He has a job to do and reaping your soul. Whether this ends the easy way or hard is up to you. But know that the hard way will be worse off for you. Please Shining Mirror give yourself up and do the right thing for once in your life." Begged HEART for Shining Mirror to for once in her life to do the right thing. "If you do I can at least lighten your sentence." she says.
"So what do you want me to do instead of being executed?" Asked Shining Mirror.
PRINCESS HEART looks and her and responds. "Give me a moment to think please."
CHAPTER 4: HEART'S decision and Shining Mirror's confrontation with the princesses. Return to the library!
"I want you to give yourself up quietly and face DEATH himself, STEED REAPER. He'll reap your soul, We'll revive Applebloom and Granny Smith so they can both have their lives back, Granny will have her body rejuvenated back to a young mare's so she can have the life you stole from her as is fair. We'll take you to Tartarus to be judged by Tirek and from there your sentence will be carried out." "Being merciful as I am, I'll suggest a proper punishment that doesn't involve torturing or burning in Tartarus or whatever goes on there." said HEART bluntly. "You'll remain a ghost afterwards and what happens then is up to you. Whether you try to make peace with your victims or whatever as long as you don't try anything again." added HEART.
She sighs and hands over her saddlebags which are bulging with something. "Here..just take them. They're useless to me now." Said Shining Mirror.
PRINCESS HEART looks at the bag and inside. "I take it these are the unicorn horns you stole correct?"
"Yes, over two hundred of them, all but ten gathered from battlefields in the distant past." replied Shining Mirror.
PRINCESS HEART thinks a bit. "...I see. These will need to be returned to their rightful place later." *she grabs the bag and gets up* "Ready to go Shining Mirror? DEATH awaits us with Twilight and Applejack."
"Very well then princess." said Shining Mirror reluctantly as she trots along by the Changeling Princess through the stairs in the basement of Sugarcube Corner and the door. Sweetie Belle comes up to her smiling. PRINCESS HEART sees Sweetie Belle as they exit the sweets store.
"Hello there Sweetie Belle." she says smiling. Sweetie Belle bows politely.
"Where are you taking Apple Bloom?" she asks.
"Back to the library. I had to confront her about something, and if you wish to know, this isn't actually Applebloom. Her body yes but not her soul. I'm apprehending a criminal who for centuries switched bodies with others and desecrated the dead. She took Applebloom's body this time and I've convinced her to surrender so DEATH can reap her finally. Afterwards We'll revive Applebloom and her granny who recently died." said HEART explaining the situation bluntly.
Sweetie Belle glares at Applebloom angrily. "How could you do such a thing?" she asks her.
"What happens next is up to her and how it goes down. If she's lucky she'll get a chance at reincarnation to help make up for her crimes. And she did it because she was afraid of dying." says HEART.
"Well...I'm afraid of dying too so I can see why she did it." said Sweetie Belle.
"Now I'll never get my latest cutie mark" Shining Mirror says with a deep sigh.
PRINCESS HEART glares at her and retorts. "You have more to worry about than a stupid cutie mark that's not even yours. You still have to face the consequences of your actions. And when Applebloom returns to life she'll gain hers soon. Now come, we can all discuss this more in the library." They get to the libarary where Applejack and Twilight are waiting for them and Applejack can barely contain her anger.
PRINCESS HEART looks at everyone and acknowledges them. "I've got her to surrender everyone...I see you brought Celestia here too...Where's DEATH at though?" DEATH comes out from around a bookcase with Princess Luna. "Princess Luna's here as well? Huh this universe doesn't mess around when it comes to justice. Nighloks better not ever stupidly attack this universe if they know what's good for them. Now down to business." said HEART. Shining Mirror starts to cry knowing how deep she's in now. PRINCESS HEART Sighs a bit and starts. "Shall we proceed everyone? Thoughts on Shining Mirror before DEATH does his job and we head to Tartarus?"
"She violated the dead, condemmed large numbers of people to a horrible death,and murdered Applebloom-she deserves to be turned to stone." Princess Celestia says angrily.
"Please, let me live,I'll be the best Apple Bloom ever." Shining Mirror begs.
"It's too late for that," Princess Luna says.
"You are nothing like my b....my sister," Applejack snaps. Twilight just shakes her head.
"You have anything to say Twilight and Spike and STEED REAPER before we proceed?" asked HEART.
Twilight says "I hope there is a special torture in Tartarus for someone as low as her."
Spike simply says "Me too."
STEED REAPER looks at her, red eyes glowing in his skull. "You've evaded me for centuries....times up. Do you have anything to say for yourself? Any regrets for your actions or remorse?"
"I regret that I got caught." Shining Mirror says and cowers in a ball.
PRINCESS HEART speaks rather dully to her. "Smooth like you aren't in enough trouble as it is. What did I say about trying to help your case here? You do understand the severity of your actions and what may happen to you right? Tirek's not the most pleasant of wardens after all and knows how to use a battleaxe expertly." "Do you need to be turned into a monster and tramatized before you start feeling remorse like one sunset Shimmer?" said HEART angrily.
Shining Mirror sighs. "How about freezing her in ice and never letting her see sunlight again?" Princess Luna suggests.
PRINCESS HEART looks at Luna unamused at the suggestion. "You're really suggesting freezing Applebloom's body in ice to punish Shining Mirror, Princess Luna?" "Smooth as if DEATH overthere has to wait more to reap her soul and bring Applebloom and Granny Smith back. I have a better idea." HEART says. DEATH gets his sycthe out ready to use. "This is your last chance Shining Mirror. If you have any true regrets before your soul is reaped by DEATH, speak them now or eternal torture in Tartarus awaits you and you already expressed fear from that possible fate. We'll all be jury in Tirek's court as he lays down your sentence. I suggest you don't make things worse for your case." Said HEART with extreme seriousness on her face as the time for games was over.

PRINCESS HEART looks at her with pity on her face. "You never will now. You casted aside your body long ago. any cutie mark you would've earned wouldn't even be yours to begin with."
"And beside you've had a lot of cutie marks," Twilight points out. DEATH raises his sycthe high.
"Agreed." Muttered HEART. *looks at Shining Mirror* "you should just beg for forgiveness and be willing to do anything. We can all use that in your case with Tirek. Or do you wish for a horrific fate?"
"What do you want me to do?" she asks.
"How about for starters apologizing to everyone here formally and then to the hundreds of souls you condemned? HEART suggested.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry, I'm Sorry MacSorryson" she says, sounding rather like Pinkie Pie.
"Good, that's a start now go on." says HEART. "I was wrong to condemm hundereds of ponies to an early grave so that I could live on as if I was an alicorn." "And I suppose my death is deserved." Shining Mirror says.
PRINCESS HEART nods and speaks. "Especially if you factor in that your time came centuries ago." "Now that you apologized..oh I know since you pretty much will do anything, and we could use a few kicks after this, hmm..hit yourself with this rubber chicken...repeatedly and this do a clown routine." Said HEART smirking at Shining Mirror's expense.
"...You gotta, you said anything and things have been rather slow lately. I could use a chuckle or too." Said STEED REAPER as he lowers his scythe a bit.
".........oh fine lets just get it over with." Says Shining Mirror as a rubber chicken and a few pies and clown stuff appear and she goes to work humiliating herself gaining quite a few chuckles from everyone as HEART has this all recorded.
"Tirek should see this too." chuckled HEART. *Soon we go outside to see more of the routine til a mishap with the balancing ball juggling trick happens involving a few apples and a bowling ball disappearing from the air and landing far away from them on a cabbage cart*
".....MY CAAAABAAAGGGGEEEEEEESSSS!! NOOOO!! NOT MY CABBAGES! WHY WHY!? MY CABBAGES IT'S ALWAYS THE CABBAGES" Screams the cabbage vender as the destruction of his cabbages happen for the 10th time in his life. Seems he can't get a break as a human or a pony.
PRINCESS HEART'S ears flicker as she speaks. "Anyone hear someone crying over their cabbage cart like it was universally destroyed again to humor someone? Everyone nods a bit.
"Um...somepony please tell me I don't have to add that to my list of crimes too now possibly if I was somehow responsible." Asked Shining Mirror smiling sheepishly. The cabbage vender gallops up to them just as STEED REAPER reaps Shining Mirror's soul*
"Let's Roll." says DEATH raiseing his scythe and cuts her life-cord removing the soul from the body. Shining Mirror's soul leaves Applebloom's body without a scratch on the body as everyone watches.
"Lets go everyone, to Tartarus."says HEART. The soul is sucked in first and PRINCESS HEART heads through the portal to Tartarus that just opened up followed by everyone else including the cabbage vender as we all enter Tartarus.
CHAPTER 5: Enter Tartarus! Tirek appears and the trial of Shining Mirror begins.
The soul hovers over a lake of boiling lava whilst everyone else stands on solid rock overlooking the lava. PRINCESS HEART looks around at her surroundings and commentss. "Nice play Tirek has here."
"Indeed it is! Thanks for the compliment changeling princess." Said Tirek the centaur overlord, supreme ruler and warden of Tartarus as he comes into view with Cerberus the legendary 3 headed hellhound guard dog at his side. "Whose soul do we have here?" he asks. Shining Mirror's soul is wailing and crying by now.
"An earth pony mare's by the name of Shining Mirror, Tirek. She's here to be judged for crimes."
"Including malicious destruction of cabbages!" The cabbage vendor spoke up causing Tirek to raise an eyebrow and awkwardly mutter.
"O...k...."
hall we move to the courtroom?" Said HEART.
"Yes lets." said Tirek. The area becomes an Equestrian style courtroom with Shining Mirror in the dock/defendant stand. PRINCESS HEART is seen standing in the defense bench/stand while Applejack is in the prosecutor's bench/stand and Celestia, Luna, Twilight, Spike Sweetie Belle and the cabbage vendor and hundreds of angry souls sit in the jury seats as a jury of Shining Mirror's peers.
"Lets do this your honor." Started off HEART as she then remembers. "Oh yeah, your Honor here, the case file on everything up until now involving this case." said HEART as she hands him the case file as he reads it wearing reading glasses for them.
"Lets see now. Geas and mind/body switching spell combo...hundreds of souls dead because of old age and because she switched places with them condemning them to death before their time....desecrating the graves of many unicorns for theirvhorns for a necklace and bracelets...assaulting a changeling princess with an unicorn horn....These are deep..." Tirek says as he's cut off by the cabbage vendor rather angrily.
"DON'T FORGET THE MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF A CABBAGE CART AND CABBAGES!"
"......as I was saying and the...malicious destruction of a cabbage cart and the cabbages." Said Tirek giving the vendor an "are you serious" look. "these are all very deep charges..and a ridiculous charge for that cabbage cart incident.." said Tirek giving the file a look over amazed at the number of crimes that have taken place including a ridiculous one for cabbages.
"Big list huh Tirek?" commented PRINCESS HEART.
"Enough for an eternity of punishment for what she did." Said Tirek looking at Shining Mirror as she sits there just crying quietly.
"Indeed. Though we also this recording for you to watch. Figured it may give you a chuckle or 2. Seems the criminal here was willingly to anything to make up for her crimes. even public humiliation in front of royalty among a few others."Says HEART mentioning the recording earlier. "I present to the jury and court this evidence!" said HEART as she presents the the video while Shining Mirror blushes, highly embarassed at what she had to do.
Tirek grins at her saying, "Maybe we can lessen things slightly, I have three or four ideas for punishment." But first, Shining Mirror, how do you plead?"
Shining Mirror looks up at Tirek and simply says, "Guilty..your honor."
"Well then with the evidence stacked against you and your own verdict, I pronounce you GUITY AS CHARGED." Tirek slams his gavel on his stand. "Now then as punishment as I said, I've a few ideas." "Wiping her mind and sending her back to live another life for example." Said Tirek.
"Interesting idea your honor. What are the other ideas you have cause I figured a few hundred years of community service for her crimes as her punishment would work. I think afterwards we let her choose what'll ultimately happen to her. What her sentence will be." Said HEART smiling.
Tirek contemplates this before speaking again. "Another idea.....is to make her replace a dying filly and live the life the way that filly would. Or we could banish her to the lake of fire or freeze her in stone." PRINCESS HEART looks at Tirek and nods as she talks.
"I see. Well then Shining Mirror your choice. Out of the 5 ideas suggested, how do you want this to end? It's your choice so choose wisely if you don't want to suffer."
"What do you mean about the dying filly thing?" Asked Shining Mirror as she thinks of what punishment she'll choose for her crimes.
"OFF WITH HER HEAD! ONE FOR EACH HEAD OF CABBAGE!" yelled the cabbage vendor not letting it go.
"ENOUGH!!! THAT'S ENOUGH OF THE CABBAGES ALREADY OR I'LL CLEAR THE COURTROOM AND HOLD YOU IN COMTEMPT OF COURT!" Roared Tirek tiring of the cabbage vendor by now especially with this interruption.
"Y..yes your honor. Sorry." Says the cabbage vendor shutting up about his cabbages finally.
"You would have to do what that filly would do, you would have not much free will." said Tirek explaining.
"Basically you'd have to replace the dying filly and live their life like they wanted to. changelings occasionally do this as a sentence or depending on a different hive as I noticed for a specific changeling living in Canterlot named Flitter, honoring a death wish type think as an honorable thing his hive does. Something about the "Old Way." He did it for a stallion who was dying after a mishap happened during an adventure." Said HEART explaining even futher.
"So I would be magically unable to be myself? Still....does she have family members that love her?" Asked Shining Mirror.
"Depends on the filly you might replace. If she didn't, well I think child abuse is enough to lock them away for a long time. I see that happen occasionally and well they should be glad Discord isn't given the privilege of handing out punishments cause he's creative." "but yeah if you choose this path we'll find ones who loved their daughter to the end." spoke HEART.
"I would be happy to be someone's beloved daughter, since it will do some good." Said Shining.
PRINCESS HEART looked at her and says, "I see. Is that the punishment you ultimately choose Shining Mirror?"
"Yes, it is." Shining says as she bows her head low.
PRINCESS HEART looks to the jury as she speaks again. "Any objections? Speak now or forever hold your peace. And if I hear one cabbage out you vendor..." She threatens eyes glowing.
One pony suggests, "Why not give her twelve lashes first, make her suffer some pain?"
"I guess that could work. She does need to make up for the crimes. Shining to you object to this?" HEART asks.
She sighs. "Do what you have to do." "Very well then. said HEART as she pulls out of her inventory a whip and gives her 12 quick lashes. Shining wails but makes no attempt to avoid her well-deserved punishment. "Ok that takes care of that. Curaza!" shouted HEART as she casts a powerful healing spell, fully healing Shining's wounds and glaring at the pony who suggested the whips.
"You happy then?" The stallion nods and Shining manages a weak smile at being healed. "Tirek what say you? Shall we end the proceedings with your judgement and sentence?" Asked HEART.
"Which race do you think she should become in her new life?" Asked Tirek.
"Hmm...lets see...I think Unicorn will do." spoke HEART.
"Very well then. If you ever try and repeat your offences or say who you are you will be unable to, nor will you ever wipe off a love kiss. Let's find a suitable Unicorn to turn her into." Said Tirek.
"Sounds appropriate. though one thing your honor, make it so there's an exception. That the only ones she'll be able to say who she really is, is to Applebloom and her family as they occasionally check on her. I think trying to earn their forgiveness in her new life will be a good thing to add to her sentence as well as, learning the magic of friendship." HEART says smiling at Celestia and Twilight as she suggests the friendship lessons.
"Good idea, now all we have to do is find a foal for her to take the place of. There is one in Canterlot hospital that might fit the bill." spoke Tirek.
"Yes..hmm..lets see.. Would she happen to be related to Diamond Tiara by chance? Cause if so this will work well." asked HEART.
"That would be good to make her Diamond's sister. Except Diamond is an earth pony." Applebloom said.
"So? Pony genetics are all weird and wonky. We have 2 earth ponies who's children are an unicorn and pegasus. Pumpkin and Pound Cake anyone? This would make sense easy." Said HEART mentioning the chaotic logic of pony genetics.
"You will provide a bridge between Diamond and the CMC then as well. You shall replace the dying Shapphire Tiara and be the best little sister friend forever Diamond Tiara ever had and will get through to her and end her bullying ways lest she eventually ends up here from the path her deeds may eventually take." Spoke Tirek giving his full sentence.
Diamond meanwhile sits by her dying sister, stroking her with a hoof with tears in her eyes. "Oh Shapphire please live. I'd give anything just to see you smile." Said Diamond Tiara crying.
Back in Tartarus, Shining Mirror says "Very well then, I'm going to enjoy my final new life to the fullest."
"Alright then. Well your honor lets end the proceedings then." HEART says.
Tirek taps his gavel and speaks. "Very well then! Court is adjourn!"
Invisible to all except who he wants to see him, the STEED REAPER appears in the hospital to reap Shapphire's soul and begin Shining Mirror's rebirth. "It's time." He says as he reaps Shapphire Tiara's soul and Shining Mirror replaces her. "Hello little one. It's tragic you had to die like this Shapphire but sadly we're on a deadline. Is there anything you wish to say to Diamond before we get you to the spirit world?" Asked STEED REAPER as he quickly filled Shapphire in on what was going to happen.
"Y..Yes there is.. Goodbye my beloved sister. I wish I could've lived to watch you grow up but things don't always work out huh? And to the one replacing me, take good care of her. Treat her like I would've. Or I'll haunt you for the rest of your new life til to you do!" Said Shapphire.
"May you rest in peace little one." Said DEATH as he goes with Shapphire to the spirit world. Shining Mirror opens her eyes in her new form with Diamond leaning over her and giving her a cuddle and kiss.
"Sis..sister..." said Shining as she woke up.
"Shapphire you're awake!" Exclaimed Diamond in happiness hugging her sister with tears in her eyes. "I..I thought you'd never wake up again Shapphire." Said Diamond as she cried.
"There there Diamond I'm here and that's all that matters now." "I was hanging on by a thread and Death appeared. He told me it wasn't time and to live my life. He also mentioned how you've been bullying others. Please for my sake please stop." Said Shining Mirror as she explained her "encounter with Death."
"V..very well then little sister. Anything for you." Said Diamond Tiara. A week later Shapphire Tiara was discharged from the hospital with a clean bill of health as she helped her sister become a better filly, forging friendships with the CMC she used to bully and tease. After a few months had passed and the apple family checked up on her, she revealed the truth to Diamond having been allowed by Tirek to tell her as well. Needless to say Diamond was shocked at first but upon hearing what her real sister's last words were, she soften up and accepted Shining Mirror as her new Shapphire Tiara.
A few years later, Shining Mirror has fully adapted to being Diamond's sister and has managed to stop her from teasing the blank flanks so much. She has since explained who she really was to Diamond Tiara and that she's living the life Diamond's real sister asked her to for her. To be there for Diamond when she no longer could. PRINCESS HEART soon Returned to check up on Shining Mirror's progress and see how everyone was doing. "Hmm..it's been awhile, I should go check up on Shining Mirror to see how things are since then. Said HEART as she walks around looking for Shining Mirror and seeing the CMC hanging out with Diamond Tiara now that they have becomed friends with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Diamond and Sapphire/Shining are currently helping them, get their cutie marks it would seem.
"Hello everyone. How have things been?" Asked HEART cheerfully.
"We've been good princess." they said bowing and after they all bow, Sweetie Belle shows her knew cutie mark, a musical note rather like Vinyl's.
"Diamond and Sapphire helped me get my cutie mark."
"That's very good. So a musical note huh? Just like I thought it'd be. What of you 2? Have you gained yours yet?" Asked HEART looking at Applebloom and Scootaloo.
"We don't have our marks yet." Applebloom says rather sadly.
PRINCESS HEART smirks as she speaks. "I see, have you tried building things Applebloom and scootering more Scootaloo? Those mayy very well be your talents."
"I so wish I could fly," Scootaloo says. "Don't worry about that Scoots, you'll be able to soon that's for sure. I could even help you if you want." mentioned HEART happily.
"That'll be nice, thanks." said Scootaloo smiling. And this story comes to a close, an evil was stopped and reformed and wrongs were righted. In the end all you need is a hero to help you through.
