~Chapter 1 - Banished~

It was a great, beautiful, sunny day with very little clouds in the sky. Twilight sighed, looking out of her room window, opening her wings to gather the warmth of the sun between her feathers. A knock pierced the silence, making Twilight jump a little. She turned to the door.

"Come in." she calmly ordered, thinking it was one of the servant ponies, but she was wrong. It was Celestia, making Twilight a little worried.

"Princess Celestia, what is it?" Twilight asked worryingly. Celestia now came to Twilight only if there was a problem, very little were the visits to speak and ask how everything was going.

The white princess looked to the smaller purple alicorn princess and smiled kindly. "My most faithful student, Twilight...Now a princess at my side. Are you ready for the big day?"

The purple princess Twilight tilted her head to the side in slight confusion. "Sorry for asking mentor, but what's today?"

A small laugh came from Celestia, "Please, Twilight. I'm not your mentor anymore." her smile turned serious, "Today you can either stay here or go to Ponyville. I feel like you have been away from your friends long enough..."

"Oh, Princess Celestia!" Twilight cut her off, "That would be great! They are probably worried about me...That leads me to a question though." Twilight looked up to her once mentor.

"Yes?" Celestia wondered, lifting her one eyebrow.

"Well, they didn't send any letters for a while." Twilight looked down, worried.

A small groan came from the tall white alicorn, "Pinkie has been sending you letters almost every hour."

Twilight looked up in slight confusion, "Well then why didn't you give them to me?"

"Please Twilight! That was at the time Princess Luna went missing...Did you want to be off track with a letter when the raiser of the moon goes missing?!" Celestia boomed a little angry. Twilight had to make sure not to laugh. Around two or three days ago, Twilight was asked to go to Canterlot to help look for Luna. It turned out the princess was shopping for some new bed sheets and kitchen appliances.

The problem, she couldn't keep her laughing in if she spoke, but she knew Celestia needed an answer. "I-I didn't kno- ho." Twilight held it in until the last word. She let out a few soft laughs.

"What is so funny, Twilight? Do you find it hilarious that we could've lost my sister?!" Celestia looked down to the now student in shame. Twilight knew that they were now onto something far greater than just a little laugh. When Celestia says the princess is her sister, you know she's not happy...

"I'm sorry! Really I am!" Twilight reasoned, trying to think of something to get Celestia off of the subject.

"You didn't answer my question, Twilight. What do you find funny?" Celestia commanded for an answer that Twilight had to answer.

"Sorry, it's just thought that we worried so much over something so small." Twilight started, unsure how to word her thoughts.

"Small...?!" Celestia questioned, seeming angered by Twilight's words.

"N-Not small! It's just that Luna was shopping and we thought she was kidnapped!" Twilight blurted.

"And this is funny...how?"

"I...just told you...?" Twilight was getting confused. She never saw Celestia this angry before...Oh, wait. She did get pretty angry at Princess Cadence's wedding when the changling princess unveiled herself...Though, this time the tall white alicorn seemed bigger and bolder.

Celestia sighed and turned to the door. "Wa-was it something I said?" Twilight studdered as Celestia left her room. The door slammed in answer. Twilight sighed. 'I didn't mean it...I didn't know she would get mad at such a small thing like this.' Another knock at the door, and Twilight was hesitant to open it.

"Twilight...Is everything okay?" Luna asked. Twilight calmed down a little and opened the door. A dark blue alicorn peaked into the room, eyeing everything with her night blue eyes. She spotted Twilight and smiled, entering the room and closing the door behind her. "I kinda heard everything." Luna answered Twilight's question before she could ask it.

The somewhat small, compared to Celestia, alicorn lived in the room next to Twilight's. Princess Luna rarely came into Twilight's room now a days. It might just be because Twilight was only going to be at Canterlot for a week, but really it was unknown. Twilight sighed, sitting down on the floor.

"I'm awfully sorry, Luna. We didn't mean to disrupt your sleep. How are you feeling?" Princess Luna has been feeling under the weather lately. After her small shopping, she had headaches and stuff. Actually, in fact, the whole princess family, excluding Twilight, has been feeling this way. Could that be the reason why Celestia was acting the way she did? Was it so wrong that Twilight wanted to hear from her friends?

Luna kindly smiled, "It is alright, Twilight. I am sorry about that day. I should have told my sister where I was going." Luna exclaimed.

"Luna, it wasn't your fault." Twilight started.

"Yes it was. Who else could it be to get in so much trouble. I forgot to tell someone where I was going and just because of it, I sent chaos throughout Canterlot." Luna looked away, a little sad.

"Luna, you should be free to go wherever you choose." Twilight tried to reason with her.

"What is this, now? Luna is, in fact, the reason why you couldn't see any letters from Pinkie Pie." Celestia opened the door, looking violently in.

"Princess, please. Luna was just shopping! What harm was done? None!" Twilight fought back.

"Enough, Twilight! My sister is correct!" Luna tried to stop the fight.

"Luna shouldn't be punished for such a thing though! It wasn't like she stole anything!" Twilight bolted. Anger starting to come across her once kind, caring face.

"Is this what you think, Twilight Sparkle?!" Celestia asked, looking down to her young pupil.

"May I ask, if it is so wrong, why this is a huge deal? Celestia, there was no war because of this!"

"Twilight! How dare you! Did you see how much havoc came across Equestria because the raiser of the moon was gone?"

"It wasn't as bad as when you both were captured by the plant thing!" anger fully covered the purple alicorn's face. How was she getting so angry over something so small? Why was Celestia bothering over it?!

"Leave now, Twilight Sparkle! Leave and never return! For I do not want to see you ever again." Celestia boomed, pointing her one hoof out the door.

"What?! Wa-why? What did I do?" Twilight asked in confusion. A small sigh was heard in back of her. Luna did not want this at all.

"I'm sorry Twilight. I'm so so sorry." was all the moon princess could say, looking down onto the floor.

"I said, leave Twilight! You are banned from Canterlot! Go quickly to Ponyville and pack up your things! Then leave there too, for you are banned there too!" Celestia boldly exclaimed, looking to her pupil-no-more in disgust. How could she choose Twilight as her one faithful student? Throughout all Twilight's studies, there was at least one thing about friendship that she still hasn't unlocked, and she fears she never will.

Without a word, Twilight slowly walked through her room to the hallway. She looked back, only to see the back end of the sun princess. Tears crept down as she looked away. "F-Fine! If that's how it is! Then...goodbye! I hope Canterlot can survive without me!" Twilight yelled, galloping out of the castle as fast as she could, leaving a small trail of tears behind her.

When outside, she violently opened her wings and took off as fast as a rocket would to go to the moon. She flew fast to Ponyville in anger, enough speed that she could have done a sonic rainboom. 'Why is this happening? I don't understand!' She landed a little harsh, but not enough to hurt a pegasus.

She quickly opened the door, and surprisingly it was not enough force to rip the door off the library, and stormed inside to quickly slam the door. Spike, who was organizing some books, jumped and quickly turned to Twilight. His tired look turned to a happy, excited face as he ran to her and gave her a hug. "Twilight! Welcome back."

A small sniff worried him as he looked up to her, concerned. "What's wrong, Twilight?"

Twilight, unsure how to answer, just looked sadly to the baby dragon. How could she tell her friends that she, Twilight Sparkle, was banned from Canterlot and Ponyville? "Spike...I." her voice was shaky. The events just hit her and she couldn't believe it.

The library door slammed open, making the two jump. They turned around to see a familiar blue pony with rainbow colored mane and tail. Twilight quickly changed expressions, trying not to worry her friend. "Rainbow Dash! How are you?" Twilight greeted with a forced smile.

Rainbow's jaw dropped, "Twilight! Your back?!" she flew over to the purple alicorn and hugged her.

"Yes, I am." Twilight responded, returning the hug.

"How's flying going?" Rainbow then asked. "Has the awesome me taught you well?"

Twilight giggled, "It's going well. Actually, I flew here from Canterlot. 20 seconds...flat." Twilight grinned, repeating Rainbow's famous first words to her when she first moved to Ponyville.

"Oh, come on! I could do it probably in 10 seconds, but I'm glad that you're getting better." Rainbow joked, moving over to the Daring Do book section. "It doesn't seem like there's any new ones out yet." she said, looking back over to Twilight and Spike. "So, should I bring over the girls? They'd be happy to know if your back."

"No..." Twilight flatly stated, her forced happy face suddenly started turning back to her sad stage.

"What's going on with you?" Rainbow asked, confused at the sudden change of expression.

"Promise you won't tell anypony?" Twilight looked up.

Rainbow sighed. "Cross my heart and hope to die; stick a cupcake in my eye." she stated, going through all the motions Pinkie has made out of her Pinkie Promise.

Twilight sighed, then looked away. "I've been banned."

Rainbow's jaw dropped once more, "What? From where?"

"Canterlot." Twilight seemed to shrink towards the floor.

"Well at least you still can be here." Rainbow exclaimed, trying hard to make her pony friend feel better.

"I'm banned from here too..." A tear dared to drop, and Twilight gave up, letting the tears drop once more.

Unable to say anything, the surprised Rainbow Dash moved over to her friend and laid on the floor next to her. She wrapped her wing around her. "Hey, now. Everything will be alright...I-I just know it will." Rainbow kindly smiled, forcing herself not to let tears drop as she comforted her friend.

"No it won't." Twilight muttered onto the floor.

"Twilight...you shouldn't worry. I mean, maybe there's a reason for all of this." Rainbow tried, she needed to get her off of this subject.

"Hm..." Was all the alicorn next to her could say. There, on the library floor, they laid until noon. "I guess I should be going." Twilight said, levitating a saddle bag and putting it on. Spike was putting food and a book or two for Twilight's journey.

"Now, hold on one second, Twilight!" Rainbow jolted, running in front of her. "I'm going with you!"

Twilight looked up to her. "No, Rainbow. I couldn't stand having you with me...You shouldn't be banned as well. What about the Wonderbolt's? They wouldn't possibly want a traitor join them."

Rainbow haven't thought of that, but she knew her friend was more important than her Wonderbolt dream. "That doesn't matter, Twilight! I am going with you no matter what!" Rainbow protested.

Twilight sighed, she knew after Rainbow said she didn't care about the Wonderbolts, that there was no fighting the blue pony's accompany. "Fine..." She had to hide it, but she actually wanted somepony with her. Her journey would be long and treacherous, and she would probably go mad without somepony with her. "Thanks...Rainbow." she mumbled, though loud enough for just Rainbow to hear.

Chapter 2 - Start The Journey

Twilight stood outside her library door, waiting for something....or should I say somepony. The sun was starting to go down, meaning Luna would bring up the moon soon. The beautiful orange colored the sky as it started to go down. Twilight was ready to go, even though it was hard. With Spike watching over the library with her pet owl, there should be no problems. Who knows? Maybe some other pony will come and take over it...Wait, what if that happens? Where will the two go? To Fluttershy's probably.

"Howdy Twilight! I didn't know you were home." Twilight flinched, looking to the orange cowpony.

"Oh, hello Applejack." Twilight forcefully smiled. Great...If Applejack knows about this, then she'd come too. Twilight thought, wondering what she would do when Rainbow comes.

"What's up, sugarcube?" Applejack asked. Oh no, did she figure out that there was something going on?

"N-Nothing, why?" Twilight wondered. Act normal, Twilight. Twilight told herself.

Applejack just shook her head, "Just wonderin'." she simply said, then looked to Twilight's saddlebags. "Um..Where are ya going?"

"Ah..." Twilight couldn't figure out what to say, making Applejack's eyebrow to lift. "I'm going to the store." Twilight quickly responded.

Applejack looked to Twilight, unsure if she should agree with the fib. "Hey Twilight! Hey AJ!" Rainbow Dash called, flying down for a landing.

Applejack looked to Rainbow, confused as why she also had a saddle bag. "Um, howdy Rainbow. Goin' somewhere as well?"

Rainbow looked quickly over to Twilight for help. Twilight bit her lip. She did not have the time to figure out what to say when this exact event would happen.

"I'm helping Twilight with her big load. Turns out she's gonna get a lot." Rainbow then replied as Twilight sighed. It was good that Rainbow decided to pick shopping as her topic.

"Oh really?" Applejack asked, lifting her eyebrow again. "And where 'ya going?"

Goodness...the orange pony was good at finding fibs. She is the Element of Honesty after all.

"To the store...?" Rainbow said in some sort of a question. Applejack then sighed.

"Y'all know I can see y'all lying." Applejack questioned.

The two gulped. I knew it was too great to be true. Twilight thought nervously.

"Now, Ah'm gonna ask once more, where are y'all goin'?" Applejack demanded a real answer, and both knew there was no going around this.

Twilight gulped once more and then sighed, "I've been banned from Canterlot and Ponyville."

"Say what now?" Applejack was astonished. How could Twilight, the most studious of the whole group, loyal to Princess Celestia and Luna, get banned from Canterlot and Ponyville? Twilight looked away, unable to repeat herself.

"Well then. Ahm comin' with ya." Applejack smiled.

"No, Applejack. Please, not you too." Twilight pleaded. She did not want AJ to get hurt as well. Rainbow was already enough!

Applejack shook her head. "Nope, Ah'm comin' no madder what."

"Twilight... There's no way to talk her out of this." Rainbow voiced.

Twilight sighed. "Fine...Just, don't tell the others. I don't want any other pony coming with."

"That's mighty fine with me." Applejack agreed. Twilight never really wanted her friends with... How would she be able to deal with loosing them? How would she forgive herself?! It was all in good time she guessed, but she hopes that they would be okay.

Chapter 3 - Start the Journey

The sky was filled with black with stars filling it with a half moon. Twilight sighed, looking up at the painful sky. The half moon was in the shape of a frown, and Twilight knew why. Luna and Twilight were close friends, and having lost that friend, Luna must be having a hard time.

"Twilight? Anythin' Ah can do for ya?" Twilight looked to her right, where Applejack was walking next to her, and gave a small smile.

"No, I'm fine." Twilight answered. She was actually happy that her friends came with her. If they weren't here, she would've been lost out of the universe already. These two were the only ones right now that could keep her on the ground. She looked in front of her to the meeting of Ponyville and Appleloosa, then turned around to catch one last gimps of her once called home. She was leaving her friends, her...family.

"Come on Twilight, let's go." Rainbow Dash calmly stated, moving forward into Appleloosa. Twilight could not believe this was happening. She once remembered that she was forced out of Canterlot to move to Ponyville. She was so focused on getting her list done, she never really saw the ponies whom are now are her friends.

Twilight turned away to face Appleloosa and sighed deeply. "Right." She darkly responded. "Sorry." the purple alicorn then apologized.

The two accomplices looked to her in confusion. "For what, sugarcube?" Applejack was the first to ask.

"Now that you two are with me...You are now considered traitors. Applejack, you can't farm at the Apple Farm....and Rainbow, you can't try out for the Wonderbolts anymore." Twilight explained.

"You don't think I didn't know that before I agreed to come with you? Besides, I already told you, our friendship is far more important than joining the Wonderbolts." Rainbow smiled, nudging Twilight lightly.

"Rainbow's right in that. Ah already told mah fam'ly what was goin' on. Ah just left out the part that you were banned. They were fine with it, so I don' see what all the fuss is about." Applejack grinned, slightly tipping her hat. "Besides, Ah know Appleloosa like how to buck an apple tree. Sometimes we Apples travel pass here to do a reunion or two."

"I once flew to Appleloosa because of a delivery. Derpy flew mail there that was supposed to go to Manehatten, so I flew there and sorted everything out." Rainbow Dash then said.

Twilight softly laughed, "When will that silly pony learn her way around?"

Rainbow smiled, "There's your smile." In confusion, Twilight tilted her head.

"Ya haven't been smilin' ever since we all left the lib'ary." Applejack smiled.

"Halt you!" a familiar voice exclaimed. The group stopped in their tracks and looked behind themselves once more to spot a light blue unicorn.

"Trixie? What do you want?" Twilight growled, but then it hit her. "Did Celestia send you?"

The blue unicorn named Trixie looked to Twilight astonished, "Wa- No! I...The great and powerful Trixie caught a glimpse of you and wanted a duel!"

Twilight sighed, "Not right now, Trixie." she sadly looked away.

Trixie looked to the purple alicorn in confusion, "The great and powerful Trixie wants to know what is bothering thy foe." Twilight's light purple eyes looked up to the great pegasus, causing Trixie's cheeks to heat up. 'Crap, have to look away. But, those eyes are so beautiful, even the great and powerful me could not escape the grasp of those eyes.' she thought, looking away, only to look back to Twilight.

"Twilight is feeling a little under the weather." Rainbow chimed in, quickly thinking of something. Twilight sighed, thankful that Rainbow had her back. She wasn't very good at lying.

"Hm..." Trixie examined Twilight closely. "Trixie can tell it is more then sickness...Is she tired from being a princess?"

"Yes, I have a lot to do, and so little time to do it. Sorry Trixie, but I need to get going on my princess duties." Twilight straightened up and turned away and started walking. The other girls quickly followed.

Trixie then started laughing, "Oh...pleease Twilight! Something must have happened because you're not your usual self."

Rainbow bit her lip as Applejack thought of something. Twilight sighed, "I'm leaving."

Confused by this, the blue unicorn tilted her head, "What ever do you mean, Twilight?"

"I don't want to say." she lowly spoke, lowering her head.

Now worried about the alicorn, she slowly approached her. "Well then...can the great and powerful Trixie travel with you? I have nothing else to do."

Hesitant, Twilight looked to her. She can't have another pony come with her. What if she get's hurt? She cannot deal with any more. "I'm sorry, Trixie-"

"I won't be too much trouble. Please!" Trixie begged, knowing something definitely was wrong and she needed to protect her.

Twilight bit her lip and looked to her other friends for approval. The two both nodded, happy with whatever decision Twilight made. She was the knowledgeable one of their group. The purple pony sighed, and let a smile form. "You can come with."

Trixie's face beamed, "Really?" In response, Twilight calmly nodded. Trixie smiled and trotted up to the others. There the four were, staring onto the sky that had a tint of orange, the sun soon following, and never will Twilight Sparkle regret bringing her friends along.

Chapter 4 - The Forgotten Memory

Morning struck as the group stopped in Appleloosa. Already, Twilight was planning what to do. First, they needed to find a place to sleep. Next, maybe find a short job to pay off rent. Who knows what would be next?

"Does anypony know somepony here?" Twilight asked.

"The great and powerful Trixie has no pony here." Trixie answered.

"Ah have a distant relative, but her house is full of clutter and cats. Then there's the othe' relative..." Applejack smiled.

"Sounds good, where does she live?" Twilight looked around at the houses.

"A few houses down." Applejack leaded the others to a pretty large two-story cottage. It was pale purple with two windows and a wooden door on the first floor and two small windows and a semi-circle window on the second floor. Both Twilight's and Rainbow's jaws dropped slightly as Trixie looked at it in awe. Applejack looked at the group, a little confused. "Will this be good enough?"

Twilight found herself to say, "No, it's perfect." and Rainbow nodded in agreement.

Applejack smiled, "Yeah, Ah know it's big, but we all can fit in it." She walked up the front steps to the door and knocked.

"Coming." a voice called inside the house. A few seconds later, the door opened to show a young pony who was around the same age as them. Her coat was a yellow color and her mane was light green on the top and dark green on the bottom and in pigtails. Her eyes were a green with the smallest tint of yellow in them.

"Apple Fritter? Ah thought ya were still in Manehatten?" Applejack asked, looking quite confused at why this pony named Apple Fritter was there.

The pony smiled softly and shook her head. "Nah, Ah came back. Ah noticed the city wasn' for me. Afte' Ah delivered tha apples, Ah looked around. Nothin' seemed to strike me as somethin' Ah would like, so Ah came back."

Applejack smiled, "Sounds kinda like what happened ta me."

"It sure does." Apple Fritter smiled, "So, what'ch all doin' here to Appleloosa?"

"Long story. Would it be okay if we can stay here for awhile?" Twilight wondered.

"Ah don't have a problem with it, but let me ask Apple Bumpkin." Apple Fritter zipped back into the house to come back around a minute later with another earth pony with the same colored fur as Apple Fritter. Her mane was a nice pretty wavy and a nice shade of red with part of it lighter red. Her eyes were an orange with a tint of yellow.

"Ah hear y'all lookin' for somewhere to slumber." Apple Bumpkin smiled as the others nodded, "Well, that's mighty fine with me. What about ya, Apple Fritter?"

"Ah'm fine with it if ya are." Apple Fritter answered, giving a nice smile.

"Right then, let me show y'all around." Apple Bumpkin moved to the side, pointing her hoof inside the house, allowing the visitors to come in. The four ponies cautiously entered, looking around to big inside. The walls were a nice aqua blue and the floor was made of wood.

"Wow. This is a very nice house." Twilight complimented looking at the pictures on the wall of other ponies that were probably the ancestors of the house or Apple family.

"Why thank ya." Apple Fritter smiled, "Been here since Granny Smith was a young filly."

Apple Bumpkin turned right when they hit a T intersection. "Now over here's two guest rooms and one bathroom. The other side has the same thing. Any questions?"

The group shook their heads and Apple Fritter smiled, "Ah imagine y'all tired...so we'll leave y'all to your slumber." The two ponies left the group a lone.

"So, who wants to sleep where?" Twilight asked, walking over to the one bed that was near the window. She studied the comfy looking single bed that was almost like her bed back at the library. The covers were a nice purple with orange lines criss crossing to make small squares lined diagonally. The bottom sheet, that she usually sleeps on for more comfort, was a clean white. "I'll take this one." Twilight then said.

"Mighty fine with me, I'll check out the other beds on the other side." Applejack nodded, turning around and walked to the other room.

"I'm going to go with her." Rainbow Dash followed the orange pony.

Trixie looked over to Twilight, a small blush lightly appearing on her blue cheeks, "I guess that makes you lucky to have the great and powerful Trixie in your room."

Twilight looked over to her tiredly, "Yes, I guess I am." she smiled as she went on the bed to wiggle in the covers. "Sorry Trixie, but I'm going to sleep."

"The great and powerful Trixie's alright with that." Trixie calmly stated, walking over to the window to close the blinds. She then moved to the other bed, same colors as Twilight's bed, and did the same as Twilight. Under the warm comfy blankets, sleep quickly took lead over the great pony.

Birds flew freely at a window. Twilight woke up to the nice song they were making and rolled out of bed. Her bedroom door furiously opened, making Twilight jump.

"Excuse me highness...I didn't mean to make you jump." Twilight turned to one of the castle servants who help around the castle to make everything look so beautiful.

Twilight smiled, "It is fine. Come on in." she lightly said, rubbing her eye to make the sleep in them go away. The servant pony followed her order and looked around the room. It looked like she wanted Twilight to say something, like she was awaiting an order. "What is it?"

The servant pony looked to her, "It is nothing ma'am...It's just you must order me to do your room."

"Oh come now, you are allowed to clean my room whenever you want." Twilight smiled, walking over to the mirror in her room. Using her magic, she levitated a brush to brush her mane and tail.

"I cannot do that miss." the light purple earth pony lowly said. "I only follow your orders. It is what I was told to do."

"So my order is for you to do my bedroom whenever you feel it should be cleaned." Twilight turned back to the pony. "May I ask your name?" she then asked.

The earth pony looked to her, "My name shall stay secret ma'am."

"Alright, if that is what you want...I was hoping to at least become friends-"

"Friends miss?" the servant pony cut Twilight off, "Oh no ma'am. That mustn't happen."

Twilight looked to her confused, "What? Why?"

"You are so high in society miss, and servant ponies are on the bottom. Pinching every job they can to get money for family. We only work for high society, not become friends."

"Look, whoever you are, I am a ruler. So if you are my servant, I at least want to know your name so I can call you."

"It is Sky Mist ma'am." the sound of hooves walking towards the room came audible to both ponies ears. "Quick miss, order me to do something." Sky Mist looked over to Twilight in some pained fashion. Almost like she was scared if something was not done right.

Twilight gulped, "Please clean up my room. I would like my bed covers changed and my room vacuumed please." she ordered kindly, making sure she did not put the pony's name with the order.

The walking sound stopped as Twilight looked to her door. Princess Celestia stood in the door frame, looking a little distressed. "Princess Celestia...What is wrong?"

Anger came to the white alicorn's face, "Everything Twilight. Somepony knocked over a valuable pot in the throne room. It...was my mother's." tears swallowed as she stayed angry.

A small gulp was heard at Twilight's bed, where Sky Mist was. Wait, was Sky Mist the one who did this? "I'm so sorry Celestia....I didn't know." Twilight tried to comfort her.

"Whoever did this is going to pay!" the taller alicorn then yelled.

Twilight gulped, looking over to Sky Mist who stopped her duty to walk slowly over to Celestia. "I'm sorry ma'am..." she started.

"Yes, she had to clean up after my mess. I was walking past her and accidentally tripped over the rug and hit the table that had the pot on it." Twilight quickly fibbed. "Making it...fall."

Celestia looked down at both the ponies, then to the nervous but surprised Sky Mist. "Is that what happened?"

Sky Mist looked up to the princess, "Y-yes your highness, I was ordered to fix the rug after I was done with cleaning her room."

The alicorn accepted the fib and looked to Twilight, "Thank you Twilight, but please be more careful. Be careful as well, I might not be as happy to accept another mishap." she started leaving.

"Yes, don't worry Celestia. I will be more careful." Celestia nodded and left the room.

"Why'd you do that miss?" Sky Mist asked, looking over to Twilight.

"I didn't want you to leave. I like you here. You're cleaning is good and you follow directions well." Twilight explained.

"I see...Thank you miss. I will make sure to pay you back somehow." Sky Mist bowed down, quickly going back over to the bed, gathering the blankets. She then looked over to her, "Twilight."

Shocked by being called by name, she looked to Sky Mist. "Yes?"

"Twilight!" she called once more, but it wasn't her voice. What? What's going on? Twilight nervously thought. "Twilight Sparkle!"

"What?!" Twilight sat up on a bed. She found she was sleeping in a different, and smaller bed from the castle. Was that...a flashback from the day before I was banned?

"Twilight, it's time to eat!" Rainbow Dash happily exclaimed.

"Right. Sorry I slept in." Twilight apologized, rolling out of bed to go to the kitchen. I wonder how Sky Mist is doing... she thought. Twilight got out to the kitchen to eat with the other girls to start the day. Today they were going to search around, maybe find a job to pay for the stay.

The nice warm sun woke the night, bringing in little to no clouds. Everything was so peaceful. "Twilight." No response. "Twilight!" A small sound. "Twilight!"

The purple alicorn quickly sprung from her bed, "What?!" she looked to the one who awoke her from her nice slumber in anger. She calmed down to see the pony was Applejack. "Sorry, what?"

"Sorry to awake you from your sleep, Twilight, but we have a small problem." the cowpony nervously voiced.

"Hm...Sure. What is it?" Twilight asked, getting out of her bed. She looked over to Trixie's bed to see it empty. Quickly the worry spread throughout her. "Where's Trixie?" What if this problem was about Trixie? Where could she have gone?

"Someone called for the great and powerful Trixie." Trixie walked into the room. Twilight sighed as a strange sense of comfort came over her. It was like without Trixie, her life would be turned around. Wait....What? Twilight caught herself at what she was thinking.

Twilight shook her head and then looked to Applejack, "So, what's the problem?"

"Well...Some other pony's missing." Applejack, seeming a little non-amused, darkly stated.

Twilight tilted her head in confusion. Who else could be missing? Apple Fritter? Apple Bumpkin? Why them? They aren't helping her... What about Rainbow Dash. Twilight's eyes shot open, "Rainbow Dash?!"

A hard swallow came from the cowpony, "Ah woke up to find her missin' with this." she gave Twilight with a small card. She levitated the card towards here and inspected it. The sign on the front looked like a crescent moon and a crescent dark orange sun merged together to make a circle. She flipped it over and read the fine text.

I've heard of you little princess
It seems like you've been lost
Pushed aside for something big
Do you know why?

I cannot answer this
But this message is in another regard
Your friends will all, one by one
Leave your side unless you rescue them

Find them, and succeed
Leave them, and trouble comes
Your choice princess-no-more
I hope to see you soon

Twilight's feelings of comfort changed quickly. She felt very nervous. What did this pony do to Rainbow Dash? And here she was thinking about Trixie?! What type of friend is she? She looked to the two girls, her face showing she was serious, "We've got to find her."

"Ah thought you would say that. Now let's eat a quick brunch before we leave." Applejack smiled, leading the way to the kitchen. Twilight and Trixie followed, sitting down at the table. Apple Fritter then came out with a plate and set it down next to Applejack.

"Ah'm sorry to ask, but could one of you help me with getting the othe' plates?" she kindly asked, hoping it wouldn't be too much of a bother.

"Sure. I'll come and help." Twilight smiled, following Apple Fritter to the stove where the other plates of food were. She levitated the plates, careful not to tilt them, and moved them to the table. The group then ate quickly and stormed out of the house.

"Where do you think she would be?" Twilight asked, looking left and right.

"Ah hate to break it to you, Twilight, but she could be anywhere." Applejack said lowly, her ears flattening, "If only I knew sooner..."

"Applejack, please know that this is not your fault." Twilight assured her. "Now, I believe it's best if we split up. Any objections?"

"If we split up, doesn't that make us more easy to get?" Trixie questioned.

"Yeah, that's true." Twilight kept thinking of what they should do.

"If y'all need help, Apple Fritter and Ah could lend y'all a hand." Apple Bumpkin stated.

Twilight turned to them, "Thank you, but I have to decline. I don't want you to be into this...Or you'll also become a target as well."

"It's a risk Ah'm willing to take." Apple Fritter confidentially spoke.

"Again, the answer's no." Twilight turned away and started to go straight. "You're already a target for letting us sleep in your house..So please be on the look out." she turned her head to them, "Good luck." The group then walked to the intersection.

"So, where to now, Twilight?" Applejack asked, "Does the letter tell you anything?"

"Only that if we don't find her, Rainbow's in deep trouble." Twilight looked down to the ground. What now? All we have is the Elements of Harmony....Wait... "That's it!"

"What has Twilight thought of?" Trixie asked.

"The Elements of Harmony! Maybe if we can somehow navigate where the Element of Loyalty is, then it might lead us to Rainbow Dash!"

"Um...It sounds like a good idea, but how are we all going to do that with the Elements in the Tree of Harmony?" Applejack wondered.

"Eh?" Twilight forgot about that. Man, now what?

"Twilight did have a good idea...Maybe just go where you feel it...If you are all connected by the Elements, then maybe you can find her." Trixie smiled, trying to gain Twilight's confidence back up.

Twilight smiled, "Sounds like the best plan we have. We should stay together, though...Just in case. I don't want anypony else missing."

"Right." The two nodded, ready to follow Twilight into the deepest parts of wherever they were going. The group went straight down the one path towards Manehatten. No pony was sure where they were heading, and neither of them was sure what they would find. One thing connected them; to get Rainbow back! No madder what they would find, they would stay strong to find her.

Ch 6 - Running For Invisible Rainbows

Heat, oh heat...Why did it always have to be this hot in the city of Manehatten? Twilight swore she saw water everywhere she turned, even though it turned out to be illusion. Her accompanists look everywhere for water, for they knew themselves they needed it.

"There's a store right up yonder!" Applejack then called, pointing her hoof towards a store. The group eagerly entered and looked around for water. Seeing it in a frige, Twilight opened the door and levitated three waters out, giving one to each of her comrades. They moved up to the cash register and checked out the water.

Quickly, Trixie took the cap off and almost gulped it down. "Careful Trixie. Don't drink too much at once." Twilight cautioned. Trixie smiled and nodded, taking slow and steady sips, her cheeks hot and red. 'It's just the heat' she told herself. The other two followed her lead, careful to not drink too fast.

Twilight sighed after drinking half her bottle. "We better save the rest for later, who knows how much money we have for food."

"Ah reckon we have about a weeks worth, maybe more. Just what about shelter?" Applejack questioned, closing the water and putting it in her saddle bag.

"I...I don't know. I can't seem to figure anything out in this heat. Manehatten sure likes to be hot, but it seems no pony realizes how hot it is." Twilight sighed, starting to walk forward. "More to worry, we can't even find Rainbow Dash, and to make matters worse, we could be lost!"

"Twilight, this is not like you, giving up so soon. The powerful Trixie believes we should stay calm and think about the letter. It must have an answer." Trixie exclaimed, closing the lid on her water bottle and levitated it into Applejack's saddlebag, on the other side that Applejack didn't put her water in.

Applejack at first wanted to question it, but found not to since Trixie did not have a saddle bag. So, the three ventured on, following the busy streets of Manehatten to hopefully find a way. Though, night soon found them, and the three searched for somewhere to rest. They soon found a small alleyway.

"There, y'all! Could we maybe go there?" Applejack pointed out the small alley.

"Trixie does not agree. It's so dark and...disgusting." Trixie looked in disgust.

"Trixie, it's all we have." Twilight reasoned, lighting the alley with her horn.

"Thus is true, but the great and powerful Trixie does not do disgusting."

"Aw, descustin' smuthin'. If yar so powe'ful, then show us by goin' in there and sleepin'. It's only one night!" Applejack said furiously, she didn't want to spend anymore time with this. She wanted to- no she needed to find Rainbow Dash. She just had to! Trixie silently growled as she illuminated the ally way and entered.

How dare they question the powerful Trixie! I'll show them! she thought as she and Twilight moved some flattened cardboard boxes to make a somewhat bed and then made a low ceiling above them.

"Alright then. Good night everypony." Twilight said, slowly falling to sleep and the others followed right after her. They did not realize, though, the strange dark purple shadow lurking in the distance...
