It was a nice morning in Ponyville. Fluttershy was already out taking care of the birds. Twilight Sparkle had just woken up, but Spike was still sleeping. Rainbow Dash was resting in one of the clouds. Pinkie Pie was outside being Pinkie. Rarity was still sleeping, dreaming about living in Canterlot. Applejack was awake picking apples. Twilight Sparkle went down the stairs of her house.
"I'm going out for a bit, Spike," she said. Spike was still sound asleep. Twilight giggled a bit. Twilight grabbed her bag and walked outside the house. She noticed Derpy Hooves flying somewhere. Twilight waved at Derpy, and Derpy waved back. Before you knew it, Derpy crashed into Twilight's house. Derpy fell off the side of the tree onto the ground at Twilight's door. Twilight Sparkle walked over to Derpy. "Are you okay?", she asked. Derpy Hooves looked at Twilight and said, "Yes, I'm alright..." Twilight Sparkle was confused at how regular Derpy sounded. Twilight looked at Derpy's eyes and noticed they were normal.
"Derpy, your eyes are normal again!", she exclaimed. Derpy looked around a bit, and noticed that they were. "Wow, I haven't felt this normal since I was a filly!", said Derpy Hooves. Derpy got up and said, "I was flying over to Canterlot because I got this letter from somepony I don't know saying I had to go to Canterlot." Twilight said with a confused look, "That doesn't sound normal... mind if I come with?" Derpy Hooves nodded. Twilight started trotting to Canterlot while Derpy flew as fast as Twilight's trotting.
Rainbow Dash noticed the two and flew down to them. "Hey, where are you two going?", asked Rainbow Dash. Twilight responded, "We're going to Canterlot. Derpy here got a suspicious letter from somepony that she had to go to Canterlot. I've never heard of something like this happening in all of Equestria." Rainbow Dash got a small adrenaline rush and said, "Ooh, can I come with? I want to kick some flank like we did with that Nightmare Moon!" Twilight grinned and nodded. Rainbow Dash screamed, "YES!" Rainbow Dash started to fly with the two at the same speed.
"Hey, umm, Twilight, could you speed it up a bit? I'm getting bored up here," said Rainbow Dash. Twilight rolled her eyes and said, "Rainbow Dash, I don't want to get worn out before we get there. I'll go faster when Canterlot comes into view." Rainbow Dash shrugged. "I'll just go wait for you two at Canterlot. See ya there." And with that, Rainbow Dash flew off. Twilight rolled her eyes again and said, "The average Rainbow Dash. Always wants to fly as fast as possible." Twilight and Derpy continued on.
Twilight and Derpy finally arrived at Canterlot, panting and sweating. Twilight collapsed on the ground, looking for Rainbow Dash. She was nowhere to be found. Then twilight heard a faint voice. Twilight, Derpy, help me! I don’t know where I am! I’m trapped inside, but I can see you! Twilight looked confused. The voice seemed to be coming from right in front of them, like a whisper. Derpy flew to where the voice was coming from and dissapeared in a bright flash. Twilight then heard a deep voice, "Come into the portal Twilight Sparkle. I have predicted everything. Your fate is inside this portal. Your friend is inside this portal. The fate of Equestria is inside this portal. Come in, Twilight, and witness the world as we know it fall to pieces. You're safe with us."
Twilight went inside the portal. Rainbow Dash flew over to Twilight and said, "Why'd you do it, Twilight?" Derpy Hooves stared at Twilight angrily. "Well, sorry everypony," said Twilight, "But if there's any way to stop Equestria from being destroyed, it's in here." Rainbow Dash thought about it, and nodded in agreement. "We will have to save the fate of Equestria somewhere... somehow... in here." Derpy Hooves, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight Sparkle started looking around. They could see nothing but blackness and the occasional galaxy. Everypony was confused because they were in a room made of nothing.
Rainbow Dash said, "What are we even supposed to do here? We're in an invisible room in the middle of space. All we have is this awkward window thing that shows what's outside the portal. Twilight shed a tear and said, "I don't know Rainbow Dash. I really don't know."

Pinkie Pie hopped over to Applejack’s barn. She looked for Applejack, and went up to her and asked her, “Hey Applejack! Have you seen Rainbow Dash? We were supposed to pull lots of fun pranks today!” Applejack looked at Pinkie and said, “Nope. But I reckon I heard somethin’ about Canterlot.” Pinkie Pie frowned and said, “Okay.” Pinkie Pie hopped away and back to the park.
Spike woke up and noticed he woke up 2 hours late. Spike ran downstairs and looked for Twilight. She was nowhere to be found. “Twilight? Where are you?”, yelled Spike. Spike ran outside and kept calling for Twilight. Spike walked all around Ponyville searching for Twilight. Spike bumped into Pinkie Pie and said, “Pinkie Pie, have you seen Twilight?” Pinkie Pie replied, “Nopey dopey lopey! But she’s probably with Rainbow Dash at Canterlot.” Spike yelled, “Canterlot!? That’s like, 1 hour away!” Pinkie Pie replied, “I know! I was sad because Rainbow and I were supposed to prank a lot of ponies today.” Spike shrugged. “Oh well, she’ll come back sooner or later.”

Rainbow Dash crashed through an invisible door. “I think I found something!”, yelled Rainbow Dash. Derpy Hooves and Twilight Sparkle walked over to her. There was another room with another odd window. The three walked inside. Rainbow Dash flew over to the window. “I can see Ponyville!”, exclaimed Rainbow Dash. The other two walked up next to Rainbow and looked at the window. They heard a beeping noise. Twilight figured out she was leaning on something. Twilight moved off of it, shaking. Rainbow Dash and Derpy Hooves watched the window even closer. A crosshair appeared on the screen, and two visible knobs came out of the wall. Rainbow Dash said, “Twilight... I think this is how it’s going to happen...”
The screen automatically targeted on Derpy’s house. “It seems I’m pretty important to something they’re doing,” said Derpy. A timer appeared and started counting down from 10 seconds. Twilight Sparkle yelled, “Somepony do something!” Derpy Hooves, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight started looking for something to smash it with. 3... 2... 1... They were too late. The timer went off. The screen zoomed out. Derpy Hooves remembered her letter. She remembered the full letter.
Dear Derpy Hooves,
You are required to come over to Canterlot. Two of your friends will follow. Equestria is counting on you and your friends. You can do this Derpy Hooves. Or at least you think you can. If you don’t come, Equestria will fall, and all hope will be lost. Some things may be lost in the process, but it’s all worth it Derpy.
Tears started coming from Derpy’s eyes, as she remembered that Dinky Hooves is still there. The three stood there and watched it all happen. Twilight walked over to Derpy and patted her on the back. “Derpy,” she said, “Everything will be alright. We’ll save everypony. Don’t worry about Dinky, she’ll be alright.” Derpy sniffed and said, “Okay Twilight. If you say so.” Then, on the screen, Derpy’s house dissapeared.
Derpy Hooves was crying out loud now. Everything Derpy had has just vanished into thin air. Derpy Hooves had no house, no daughter, and nopony to love. They all vanished into thin air. She is a part of this silly group. It's all her fault. She can't fix this. She's a retarded, useless pon-
"Derpy," said Twilight, "Don't be upset. It's not your fault. I'll find a way to save them." A deep voice came from above, "Silly ponies. You cannot save them. They're gone forever. Unless you complete the three tests." Rainbow Dash said with confidence, "What are these 'three tests'? I could beat them in no time at all!" The voice replied, "Well, rainbow one. Stand on the ground to find out." Rainbow Dash stopped flying, and as soon as she touched the floor, it opened like a trapdoor and went into a visible room.
"This," said the voice, "is the first test." The girls looked around the room. Rainbow Dash said angrily, "I see nothing but a hallway!" The voice then said, "Fly through the hallway." Rainbow Dash shrugged and flew through. When Rainbow Dash got to the middle of the hallway, a bunch of spikes popped up in front of her. "Woah! You almost killed me!" The voice laughed and said, "Get through it without dying."
Rainbow Dash shrugged and said, "Oh well. I guess I'll just pull off a Sonic Rainboom." Twilight said, "You think you can do that in here Rainbow Dash? I can just use a spe-" "I'm fine, Twilight!", said Rainbow Dash. Twilight rolled her eyes. Rainbow Dash flew to the side of the wall. Rainbow Dash got ready, and took off.
Rainbow Dash was flying pretty fast, but not nearly fast enough to make a Sonic Rainboom. As Rainbow Dash neared the middle of the room, the voice chuckled. Rainbow Dash still wasn't scared. She knew was going to make it. Rainbow Dash flew right past the middle without anything happening. "Good job, rainbow one," said the voice, "but speed wasn't the answer." Rainbow looked confused. What was the answer? Rainbow Dash ignored it, and moved on, with Twilight and Derpy following.

Rarity woke up. Somepony was knocking on her door. She mumbled to herself, what could be so important that couldn’t wait until I was awake? Rarity walked over to the door and opened it, only to find a bouncing Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie said, “Hey Rarity! Do you know how to get to Canterlot?” Rarity looked confused and said, “Why do you need to go there now? And no, I don’t know how. I had a dream about living in Canterlot. It was wonderful. I lived wit-” “Rarity, you’re dozing off!”, said Pinkie Pie. “Oh, right,” said Rarity, embarrassed, “But if you need to go to Canterlot, just ask Twilight.” Pinkie Pie replied, “That’s the thing Rarity! I’m looking for Twilight! Applejack told me she went to Canterlot!” “Oh,” replied Rarity. “Well, sorry Pinkie, but I can’t help you.” Pinkie Pie frowned and walked off. Rarity closed her door and got back in bed.
Spike asked Pinkie Pie, “Anything?” Pinkie Pie replied, “Nope.” Spike sighed and walked back to the house. Pinkie Pie bounced towards Fluttershy’s cottage. On the way there, Pinkie Pie stopped and noticed that Derpy’s house was gone. There was a small crater where it was. Pinkie Pie looked above it to find a small hole in the sky. She then heard a deep voice say, “So, pink one, I heard you’re looking for the rainbow one. She’s up here.” A beam of light came down from the hole and transported Pinkie Pie into the fourth dimension.

The three heard a familiar voice high above them. “TWITCHY TAIL!!” They all looked up and noticed Pinkie Pie falling from the sky. Rainbow Dash flew under where Pinkie Pie would land and said, “I got her!” Rainbow Dash caught Pinkie Pie and put her down. “How did you get here?” asked Rainbow Dash. “Well, I don’t know. I saw this hole in the sky, heard a weird voice, and then I appeared in here!”, replied Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie looked at Derpy and asked, “What happened to your hou-” Twilight stuck her hoof in Pinkie’s mouth and whispered to her, “Derpy’s having some tough times, and she’d prefer not to talk about it.”
The girls walked forward and the ground opened up, revealing a pit of fire. The voice said, “Get past this you puny ponies!” Rainbow Dash readied her wings. “And no, you can’t fly,” said the voice again. Rainbow Dash sighed and said, “Now what are we supposed to do?” The voice said, “Do something, purple one. Or can you?” Twilight took the hint, and looked for something to make a pathway with. “There’s nothing here!”, yelled Twilight. “Yes there is,” said Pinkie Pie, “There’s fire!” Twilight responded, “Pinkie Pie! This isn’t the time for your silly-” Then Twilight realized something. Yes, there’s fire! And that means... smoke! Which means...
Twilight used a spell to put out the fire and another spell to make water out of smoke.The crazy amount of smoke created enough water for the four to swim across and get out on the other side. The voice said, “Very impressive. You’ll be in for a treat on the last test. I heard that it can only be completed by one pony in all of Equestria. Believe it or not, that exact pony is among us. Also, I forgot to mention that you’re playing a game that will change everything for yourselves.” The four looked shocked. A game that would change their lives? Sounded pretty intense. Rainbow Dash protested, “So this is a GAME? That can kill us?” The voice responded, “Yes, but the thing is that you won’t die. There’s a reason that all of you are here. Well, except for the pink one.” Pinkie Pie jumped gleefully.
The four walked into the next room, to find... “NOTHING?!”, yelled Rainbow Dash. “We’re supposed to pass a test that’s absolutely NOTHING? What kind of joke is this?” The voice said, “Shut your mouth rainbow one. The objects inside of this room are invisible to the average pony’s eyes. There is, well, was, one pony that could see them however. We were friends. Best of friends. Until she met Dr. Whoof. Anyways, enough of that. Let’s get to testing.” Pinkie Pie stared at Derpy and said, “I think he means you!” Derpy looked at Pinkie Pie and said, “Well, my eyes have been fixed. I don’t think there’s anything I can do now. My cutie mark is nothing anymore. I’m not Derpy Hooves anymore.” Derpy Hooves got up and said, “Sorry for wasting everypony’s time.” Derpy started silently crying.
The voice said, “Good job Derpy! I mean, gray one! You have partly completed your task.” A small hole opened in the ceiling and out came a beam of light that hit Derpy. Derpy’s eyes became crossed again. Derpy Hooves fell on the ground. “Ouch! What just happened?” Derpy Hooves got up again and looked around. She saw something in the air very clearly. “I see it! I see it!” Derpy flew up to the key and grabbed it. She looked around and saw an invisible exit door. She then flew down to the door and opened it with the key. The ponies cheered. They completed the tests.
“Very good. Rainbow one, you are the sense of bravery. Purple one, you are the sense of smartness. Derpy, you are the sense of... well... being Derpy,” said the voice. “Ooh! What am I?”, asked Pinkie Pie happily. “Umm, you’re the sense of... helpfulness?”, replied the voice. Pinkie Pie danced around happily.
“Even though you beat the game, you four still have the challenge of saving Equestria. Prove yourselves worthy and save everypony.” The four smiled and hi-hoofed eachother. “Let’s get to saving Equestria!”, yelled Rainbow Dash. And with that, they were off to save the fate of Equestria.
