Rainbow Dash has always felt something for Applejack. Will Applejack return her feelings? Things are getting tough,not only for them,but for Equestria.
Rainbow Dash has been known for her speed and famous sonic rainboom. Some believe she's fearless, but what happens when all it takes is a mare to change this. In the meantime, Equestria is being attacked by dozzies. Dozzies are creatures that were created by Pinkie Pie, without her knowing it. The only way for her to stop them is by finding her true love. Will she ever find the one to make her heart flutter?
Twilight Sparkle was organizing her books, when she heard a crash. Outside her door was Rainbow Dash looking worried about something. Twilight immediately knew something was wrong, and decided to let her in. As soon as she opened the door, the Pegasus came barging in. “Twilight, I need to talk to you! I think I’m going crazy or something” Rainbow Dash said. Twilight had never seen her friend like that. She put a hoof around Rainbow’s shoulder to assure her that she had a friend she could talk to. “What is it Rainbow?” Twilight said with a gentle tone. For some reason Rainbow Dash started blushing, and looking at her hooves. She looked at Twilight for a moment and sighed. “I- What do you think about fillyfoolers?” she randomly asked. Twilight looked dumbfounded for a minute. She never really had been with a mare… or stallion. Sure, she had crushes in the past, but they were all stallions. Twilight never thought that it was wrong for mares liking other mares. It was just love. “Well,” she started to explain. “I never really put much thought into it. I mean, yes, I’ve seen many fillyfoolers, but I don’t think it’s wrong or anything. Why, does all of this have to do with it?” She asked. Rainbow Dash seemed relieved to hear her say that. She got her courage and decided to tell her. “Yeah, I mean this has to do a lot to do with that ‘cause I’m a... a fillyfooler.” Rainbow looked at Twilight for any kind of reaction. Instead, she found a smile. So, she decided to continue. “I had a crush on this one pony, but I’m afraid she’ll reject me, and you know I wanted you to give me some advice” Rainbow finished.
“Look Rainbow, I’m going to be honest with you. I don’t have much experience in this relationship stuff, but I’m willing to help. First of all, I need to know who this pony is to help you.” Rainbow was sweating. Maybe, Twilight would change her mind to know that this pony she was talking about was one of her closest friends. No, she said to herself Twilight isn’t like that.
Taking deep breaths she told her. “It’s Applejack”. At first, there was a moment of awkward silence. Suddenly, Twilight gave a high-pitched squeal. She jumped up in down in the same place, and out of nowhere a pink earth pony followed Twilight. She stopped jumping and went to give Rainbow Dash a hug. Rainbow didn’t question where Pinkie had come from. After all she was just being Pinkie Pie. “Oh My Celestia, Dashie! I knew it, I just knew it! Congratulations, finally you told somepony” Pinkie cheerfully said. “Wait, What? How did you know about it?” Rainbow asked. Truth to be told, she barely found out about these feelings a few days ago. Pinkie Pie burst out laughing, grabbing her sides. Once she calmed down she looked at Rainbow.
“Oh, Dashie it was obvious when you looked at it in my view” she said. Rainbow didn’t question it any further. Of course Pinkie would know. “Yeah I guess, but I don’t know what to do” She said. Twilight, who had been watching them with a smile, walked carefully to them. “If you still want my opinion, I think this is something you should think about yourself”. Rainbow narrowed her eyes, she just couldn’t bear the thought of losing her friend for something like this.
“It’s just, what if she thinks I’m not awesome enough for her? What if, her barn door doesn’t swing that way? What if, she rejects me? She would feel weird around me.” She was flying higher and higher with every word, until she hit the ceiling and fell down.
“Rainbow, listen to me. Applejack isn’t like that, if she doesn’t feel the same way, she would probably tell you lightly. If she does, then it would be good news for you and us. Never forget that Applejack would never, I repeat never, hate you for it. Come on, you’ve known her longer than any of us had. You should know better, that she wouldn’t do that to you.” Rainbow sighed, she was right Applejack wasn’t like that. She was honest, hardworking and respectful. Even if she didn’t feel the same way, she would at least try to comfort her. That's one of the things Rainbow liked about Applejack, she would tell anyone the truth without fear.
"Yeah, Dashie. I don't wanna see you saddie waddie. I mean, she can tell you no and she will give you a hug. If she says yes, you can give her a kiss" Pinkie said puckering her lips.
Dash looked at Twilight, then Pinkie and finally at Spike that was carefully watching her from afar. They all looked at her with a smile, and hope showed in their faces. She thought of all the times she had done foolish things in front of Applejack. She always laughed, then when Rainbow would look hurt she would apologize. Thinking about these things brought a grin and a blush to her face. Her friends watched as Rainbow blushed and giggle for a few minutes. Until she got back to reality.She cleared her throat and addresed her friends.
" What happened here, stays here. Okay?" All her friends Pinkie promised, mostly Pinkie who was doing all the motions dramatically." Okay well you guys were right. Also a great help, Wish me luck guys!" she waved at them and rushed out the door. Pinkie followed her outside and shouted.
" Good luck, Rainbow!". Once, both ponies were gone, Spike was still confused. "What was that about?" he asked. Twilight,having just noticed Spike,she gasped. " Spike, you know you're not supposed to listen to other conversations" she said. He was about to say something but left it at that. He went upstairs and Twilight followed.
What neither of them noticed though,was that a certain orange earth pony overheard their conversation.
Time Rainbow Dash flew faster than she had ever flown before. She had to get this lump in her throat away. Passing Sweet Apple Acres, she started sweating. Rainbow landed in her favorite tree and waited to see Applejack bucking it. Instead, she found that nobody was in the orchard. She waited patiently for about 10 minutes, until she found it odd. Every day at this time, was AJ’s turn to buck. Just then, she saw Applejack walk towards the tree. Rainbow Dash still thinking about it, decided to stay hidden. Applejack looked happy, yet betrayed. Rainbow Dash wanting to find out what it was decided to go to her. “Hey, AJ” she said casually. At that moment, everything went black. She had her eyes closed, without her noticing it. She felt two soft lips moving against hers. She tasted apples and all kinds of sweet flavors. Until it hit her, Applejack was kissing her. Applejack broke the kiss and looked at Rainbow in the eyes. “Ah didn’t know you felt this way about me, Rainbow. If you would have told me, Ah would have told you ma feelings too” She said. Rainbow stared at her with wide eyes. How did she find out? Was it too obvious? “Applejack, how did-did you find out” she asked. Applejack just had a huge grin on her face and started to laugh. “Oh, Rainbow. Next time you should go someplace else to talk about who you like. Instead of a public library, where anypony can get in” Applejack said. Rainbow Dash didn’t know how to feel happy that she didn’t have to say all that mushy stuff or the fact that AJ heard all the things she said about her. While both of them were looking into each other’s eyes, Twilight came in running out of breath. Immediately, both of them went to address their friend. “Rainbow-Dash, Apple-jack, Princess-Celestia-send-a letter- saying-that Manehattan is-under attack!” Twilight said. “WHAT!”Both Applejack and Rainbow exclaimed. “What happened, how did it happen?” AJ asked. Twilight looked at both of them and had a smile, before it disappeared completely. “I got a letter, saying that an army of these scaly creatures is attacking the northern part of Equestria. She needs to see the elements of harmony, quick let’s go!” she said. They galloped towards Rarity’s boutique, Fluttershy’s cottage and finally Sugarcube Corner. Quickly, they took the train to Canterlot and went with the ride.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The six ponies and a dragon arrived at the castle. First they had to get through the royal guards. When they arrived at throne room, Princess Celestia had a worried look on her face. Once she saw her subjects, she regained her composure. “Good afternoon, my subjects. I suppose is not so much of a “good” afternoon. More like a “horrible “one.” Celestia said. All of them, especially Twilight, had a pity shown in their faces. They’ve never seen their Princess in such state. Not even when the changelings had attacked Canterlot. “Princess, tell us what we can do. Do we need to us the elements of harmony?” Twilight asked. “No Twilight, this is something that even the elements of harmony can’t change. These creatures are called Doozies; they are extremely dangerous because we can’t predict them. The problem is that one you were their creator. I already know the answer of course, but before I reveal who it is I want to tell you that I am not angry. This pony had no control over it and over time, she was creating it without knowing” Princess Celestia paused. She waited patiently for all of them to absorb the information, before continuing. “Alright, now that you have all absorbed this. That pony is…. Pinkie Pie” there was a moment of shock. Everybody looked at Pinkie, who seemed like she was about to cry. Princess Celestia decided to continue.”It was a very challenging investigation but with the powers they have is very obvious.” “Wow… I can’t believe this. Princess, what exactly are the powers of these Doozies?” Rarity asked. Princess Celestia thought about it and answered. “Well Rarity, first they have the ability to reach really high places without wings. As I mentioned earlier, they come out randomly and can fit in anywhere. Then, they have incredibly fast speed. Finally, they become invisible, which is even harder for us to catch them. A power Pinkie does not have that they do.” Princess Celestia got up and put a hoof around Pinkie. “Yup, sounds like Pinkie” Rainbow Dash said. “How did Pinkie create them?” Twilight asked. Celestia released Pinkie and walked in front of the group. “I believe it was caused by her Pinkie sense. According to my research, every time Pinkie had a twitch, a new Doozy was born. They were all in a cave near her old rock farm. As time passed by, more and more were being born, that the cave burst open. I don’t even know how that is possible. Anyway, they did not attack her old home because these creatures feed off of laughter. The pony becomes weak and eventually dies. The only solution this is by Pinkie falling in love and the pony returns her love. A kiss to seal the deal, the dead ponies revive and the Doozies are defeated forever. Now, the trick is that by the time you find the right pony half of Equestria will be dead. I don’t want you to waste any time. If there is no more questions, you are free to leave” saying this she saw them wave at her and gallop to the exit. Pinkie was crying like never before, it was all her fault. Her hair was deflated and her color had turned to a grayish pink. She followed her friends and watched the scene before her. The royal guards were on the ground, grabbing their chest. The Doozies had attacked Canterlot, but what she saw made her cry even more. A creature was watching her every move. It had large pink claws, but its eyes were red. It looked much like a reptile combined with a pony. Its mane, also the tail had two colors, green and pink. Large fangs and long tongue could be seen even with its mouth closed. Pinkie looked at it with disgust and ducked, just in time for one to come flying towards her.
It Could Be Him, Her or Them “PINKIE!” Pinkie Pie heard as she fell over. For a moment, everything went black. She struggled to get up with all the commotion around her. She saw the Doozy that was desperately trying to get to her, but her friends wouldn’t let it. Pinkie was so focused on the Doozy in front of her, that she didn’t notice the one behind. It tackled her and pinned her to the ground. She wiggled under its hold, but it didn’t do any good. She felt useless, all her friends were trying to protect her and the only thing she did was getting caught every time. Suddenly, the force was gone. There sweating and panting, was Applejack. Pinkie looked to the side, where she saw the Doozy bleeding to death. Applejack had seen her just in time, and bucked the creature of her. “Pinkie, you have to get out of here. These here creatures want to get to you, so they can’t be defeated. Meet us at the train station, to the train goin’ to Manehattan. Quick, go!” Applejack told her. Pinkie Pie obeyed and galloped to the train station. She noticed that the train station was completely empty, except for the conductor. He noticed her and gave her a look that said” get in or they’re going to get you”. She slowly shook her head and sighed. Right when she was about to get up to find her friends, they came running towards her. “Please, can we get here to go to Manehattan? This is an emergency!” Twilight said as she approached. The conductor got in the train and made way for them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- When they arrived, the first thing they amount of dead ponies. All of them felt like throwing up at the sight. Carefully, they began walking on the streets until the heard a crying. It wasn’t pained crying, it was more like a scared one. All of them walked towards, the noise and found a crying mare. She had a cherry red coat and a lemonade pink mane. Slowly she lifted her head and looked relieved when she saw them. Revealing, a pair of gorgeous baby blue eyes. Rarity was the first to speak to the mare. “Hello darling, what is your name? Maybe we can help in your time of need.” Rarity said. The mare just mumbled some words, barely audible. Rarity asked her to repeat it one more time. “Rock Candy” she said. This time, Pinkie, the one that had not talked at all since the whole mess started, decided to speak. “Can I call you Rocky?” she asked with a smile. Rock Candy nodded and returned the smile. They all moved along, searching for more survivors. Until Fluttershy realized something, this sent fear to all of them, especially Applejack. “Umm… shouldn’t we be taking care of our family back home?” Fluttershy asked. Applejack immediately told them to go with her; they all understood and galloped away. When they arrived in Ponyville, Applejack went straight to Sweet Apple Acres. Her family was all hiding under the basement. “Big Mac! Applebloom! Granny Smith! Winona!” AJ shouted. “We have to get out of here, Ah know where to go”. The other ponies arrived at the farmhouse,they heard that Applejack wanted to take her family to Zecora’s. They all agreed and went on their way there.
Mind Trick Twilight and her friends were running like never before. Not only because they wanted to protect Applejack’s family, but because the Doozies had invaded Ponyville. They were getting closer to Zecora’s hut. Until they saw a Doozy in front of them, he was looking at Pinkie, like all of the others. Suddenly, everything in the others minds was cut off. They couldn’t feel, couldn’t think, couldn’t see or move. All, except Pinkie Pie, who was looking horrified. “What did you do to them? You big meanie!” Pinkie said, feeling angry. For some reason, the Doozy didn’t seem to understand her. “¿Que dices? No te entiendo.”(“What are you saying? I can’t understand you.”)The Doozy said. Of course, Pinkie Pie understood him. Pinkie was a little surprised by this, not only did the Doozies spoke Spanish, they had powers she did even have. “Oh, ¿Hablas Español? Ugh, dije: Que hiciste con mis amigos?”(“Oh, you talk Spanish? Ugh,I said: What did you do to my friends?”) Pinkie said frustrated. The Doozy laughed a bit before answering. “Eso es fácil mi querida Pinkie, ellos están en un sueño profundo por unos cuantos minutos. Ahora, no hay que perder el tiempo que nos queda. No estés buscando a tu verdadero amor, de seguro ya lo matamos. Si tú sigues buscando a tu amor, nosotros pararemos con nuestra destrucción. Pero si no, entonces tú y tus amigos no se escaparan de nosotros. Tu escojes Pinkie Pie.” (“That’s easy my dear Pinkie, they’re in a deep sleep for a few minutes. Now, we can’t waste the time we have left. Don’t look for your true love, maybe we already killed him. If you keep looking for your love, we will stop our destruction. But if you don’t, then you and your friends won’t escape from us. Your choice Pinkie Pie.”) Pinkie thought about it. The more she thought, the better the deal sounded. Just as she was about to agree, she saw the grin. It was the grin that she new anywhere, in any face. The trick grin, she used it when pranking someone. She was sure of her answer, even if she died with her friends. They would at least die trying. “No, aceptare el trato. Yo se que tú me estas engañando. Así que adiós.” (“ No, I won’t accept your deal. I know your tricking me. So, goodbye.”) Pinkie said. The Doozy looked shocked. He wasn’t expecting her to know. His expression changed to anger. “Te vas a arrepentir de esto. Me voy a asegurar de que cuando te atrapemos, sufras.”(“You’re going to regret this. I’m going to make sure that when we catch you, you suffer.”)The Doozy said and disappeared. After this, the others woke up. They all seemed confused and didn’t know what had happened. Pinkie decided not to tell them, they may run away or not try at all. “Pinkie, w-what happened?” Fluttershy asked. Pinkie wasn’t prepared for this, but she had lie. “Oh, I’m not sure, but why don’t we get going” Pinkie suggested. For the others, this seemed odd, but they didn’t into the subject again They ran all the way until they reached Zecora’s hut. Inside there was no Zecora. The ponies started searching everywhere for her. What they did found was Zecora’s body, hurt and injured badly. Something inside of their chest tightened, but they had to let it go. They bowed their heads once and ran outside. “Come on, everypony we have to go someplace safe. But where to go?” Twilight said. That is until she saw a cave underground a few yards away from her. “There, let go!” she said. They entered the cave and it was divided in 4 sections, kind of like rooms. She noticed that in Big Mac’s saddlebag there were 4 blankets also. She looked at her friends and they all seemed to observe the inside of the cave. “Okay, so how do we do this?” Rainbow Dash asked. “So there are 4 sections, how about you and Applejack share the first section to the left. Me, Rock Candy and Rarity go to the one in the right. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy can share the one next to Rainbow’s. Big Mac, Applebloom and Granny Smith, you can go to the one in the middle. Sound good?” she said. They all seemed to agreed, with a blushing Rainbow Dash, Applejack and for some reason Fluttershy. They all said their goodbyes and went to get some rest.
Rainbow Dash laid a blanket to the ground and motioned Applejack to come. They seemed sad, yet happy to be with each other. “Do you think we’re going to find Pinkie’s “true” love?” Rainbow asked. Applejack, who was just dozing of answered. “Ah don’t know. Ah mean, we can search here in Ponyville, but it would risk our lives. We have to stay here until they’re gone, there may be some survivors out there. Maybe one of them will be the lucky stallion.” Applejack said. Rainbow smirked and raised an eyebrow. “Or mare. You can expect anything from Pinkie Pie.” She said. “Oh, come on honey, Ah don’t think Pinkie goes that way. Ah mean I never seen her interested in any mares. Ah bet you 20 bits that after this whole mess is over, her love will be a stallion” AJ said. Rainbow Dash took this as a challenge and spat on her hoof. AJ did the same and roughly shaked Rainbow’s hoof. “Bet, she’s so gonna get a mare.” Rainbow Dash said. Her eyes softened and wrapped AJ in a hug. They cuddled, falling asleep and Applejack said something that sent Rainbow Dash heart racing. “Ah love ya” Applejack said. Rainbow Dash kissed Applejack’s forehead and sighed lovingly. “I love you too, AJ”. Soon they fell asleep together, with dreams of a happier place.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, Pinkie and Fluttershy were having a similar conversation. Pinkie had gotten a blanket and laid it on the ground. Fluttershy was busy making some kind of nest, with tree branches and grass. “Pinkie, do you think um- no forget it, it’s not important” Fluttershy started to say. Pinkie looked at Fluttershy, she felt bad when Fluttershy looked like this. “Aww, Fluttershy, you know you can tell me anything right?” Pinkie asked. Fluttershy looked at her and nodded. “I know. I just wanted to ask, if you think we’re going to find him?” Fluttershy asked. Pinkie stopped hat she was doing and looked at her. She wasn’t sure actually, she never fallen in love with anyone before. The fate of Equestria was in her hooves, she was going to try everything to fall for someone. “I’m going to try, that for sure. I just don’t know if I can fall in love with somepony so quickly.” Pinkie said. “Are you okay? You don’t sound like yourself” Fluttershy stated. “No, I just can’t help but feel guilty for all of this. If I didn’t have the stupid Pinkie sense, this wouldn’t have happened! I don’t think anypony will find me attractive or willing to give me a chance” Pinkie said with tears in her eyes. Fluttershy had never seen her like this. She was always so fun, not giving a flying feather about anything. Now, here she was crying her eyes out in front of her. Fluttershy walked over to her and put a hoof around Pinkie’s shoulder. “Pinkie, I can’t imagine how you must be feeling. But I know that anypony would be lucky to have you. I wouldn’t hesitate kicking somepony’s flank if they break your heart. You know I wouldn’t do that for anypony other than you and the girls. So that says a lot” Fluttershy said with a grin. Pinkie looked at her, still with tears, but laughed anyway. She felt better now; Fluttershy had made her confident. She wrapped Fluttershy in a friendly hug and smiled sweetly at her. “Thanks Fluttershy, I feel much better now. I better hit the hay, I’m tired, goodnight Fluttershy” she said and waved at her. She fell asleep 3 seconds after resting on the blanket. Fluttershy laughed a bit before going to her nest. “ Goodnight Pinkie Pie” she said with a blush and a smile.
A ray of sunshine woke Pinkie from her sleep. She looked around, and her eyes landed on Fluttershy. Her mane was all messed up and covered her face. Pinkie had to admit that she was beautiful, and smiled at the thought. Carefully, she sat next to her friend and sighed. Sometimes she wished Fluttershy was brave to tell her what bothered her. Ever since they this whole mess started she had been more distant. She didn't talk... Not that she did that anyway, but she still wondered. Slowly, Fluttershy began to move around and woke up. She looked startled, when she first saw Pinkie, but then smiled. Pinkie backed away a few steps to give her some space. "Good morning Fluttershy!" Pinkie said cheerfully. "Oh, good morning Pinkie, how long have you been awake?" Fluttershy asked. Pinki was folding her blanket when she answered. "A couple of minutes, I didn't want to go without you" Pinkie said. Fluttershy looked around, feeling ashamed for having her friend wait for her to wake up. She looked at Pinkie, and saw her smiling. "I'm sorry" she said. Pinkie's expression changed and looked at her oddly. Shs shook her head and patted Fluttershy's shoulder. "What for? You didn't do anything wrong. I got to tell you that what you said yesterday did wonders to me, I feel sooo much better now!" Pinkie said. Fluttershy looked at her unsure if she was telling the truth. "Really?" She asked. She only said the truth, she did care a lot about Pinkie,maybe more than she thought. "Yeah... But Fluttershy can I ask you a question?" Pinkie asked. Fluttershy just nodded. "Why are you so distant with me lately? Not just with me but with all of us. Like I told you before, you can tell me anything and I won't judge you" Pinkie said. This was the question Fluttershy didn't want to hear. It meant she had to lie to keep her friendship with her friends. She couldn't tell her because she felt Pinkie didn't feel the same way. Yes, she loved Pinkie. At first she thought it was just a crush, but soon it began to grow larger. If hurt her to think that Pinkie was about to find someone special, who wasn't her. She was so lost in thought, she didn't notice she had tears in her eyes. "Fluttershy, what wrong?" Pinkie asked gently. "Nothing Pinkie. It's just I can't tell you, there are some many things you don't know about me. I really want to tell you, but I can't find the courage. I'm sorry, maybe someday I'll be able to tell you" Fluttershy said with a sigh. Pinkie had a hurt expression, but soon replaced it with a gentle one. "It's okay, forget I asked. We better get going, the girls must be waiting for us. They walked out of their"room" and went to the empty space their considered the living room. Everyone was there, except for Rainbow Dash and Applejack. Pinkie and Fluttershy, walked to the circle their friends had made and sat there. As soon as Twilight saw them, she yelled. "Rainbow, AJ, everypony's here!" Just then everyone heard a grunt and thud. There was some kind if conversation that couldn't be left unheard. "Rainbow, get your flank up!"Applejack said. There was a laugh and then faded to another tone. "Just five more minutes" Rainbow grumbled. Applejack let out a frustrated sigh and pulled Rainbow's tail. Rainbow still laid with her face on the dirt. "You said that ten minutes ago. Either you get up or you won't get any kisses from me tonight" Applejack said with a smirk. Rainbow immediately, got up and looked at Applejack. "I'm awake! Jeez, you can't a let a mare sleep can you?"she said with a laugh. She kissed Applejack and they both walked out. Outside, they were all looking at each other, trying to understand what they had just heard. Both of them stopped in their tracks, when they saw that everybody was staring at them. They looked around akwardly for a moment, until Applejack spoke up. "Howdy" she said. They all answered back, but none asked about their conversation. It was clear to all of them, and they all respected them. "So, what do we do?" Rainbow asked. They all thought for a moment until Twilight spoke up. "Let's just talk with you Pinkie" she said gesturing to the pony." Have you felt anything for anypony yet?" Twilight asked. Pinkie looked around nervously, she hadn't had any feelings yet. "No, and I don't know if I can. It's just not enough time to fall in love" she said with a frown. Twilight thought for a moment and came up with an idea. "Well, maybe if they were to kiss you then you would know" she said. At that moment, everything stopped. Nobody saw it coming, especially Pinkie Pie, who thinking at that moment. They all had different reactions, but the same thought, what? Rock Candy kissed Pinkie. Rainbow Dash was surprised , Applejack had an eyebrow raised, Twilight was confused and Fluttershy had a frown. The rest were all watching, until the two broke the kiss. Pinkie had a confused look on her face, while Rock had an sheepish smile. "Why was that for?" Pinkie asked. Rock looked at her and truthfully told her the truth. "I like you Pinkie, I really do. And I would like to help you, maybe by you giving me a chance" she said. Pinkie just stared at her still confused. "What?" Was heard from behind them.
Everyone looked at the source of the voice. Fluttershy hid under her mane, with tears in her eyes. It seemed that nobody noticed because they didn't question her. She looked around and noticed that they all had a look of disbelief. She couldn't take it, she ran to her room and stayed there. "What just happened?" Pinkie asked. They all looked at each other and shrugged. All except Rainbow Dash, who had a look of concern on her face. "I'll go talk to her. Maybe she can tell me something" she said. When she entered the room, there was a shuddering Fluttershy on the floor. Rainbow went to her and sat next to her. They stared at each other, until Rainbow Dash started talking. "Tell me what's wrong" she said gently. Fluttershy had never heard Rainbow talk this way to anyone before. She decided to trust her, since they had known each other for years now. Fluttershy had always treated as a sister. "Can we go somewhere else private first?" She said. Rainbow thought for moment and decided to take Fluttershy outside. She took flight and Fluttershy followed. They landed on a tree, nobody without wings would find them. There was a moment of awkward silence, until Fluttershy started. "I'm going to trust you Dash. Please promise,you won't say a word about anything"she said. Rainbow Dash smiled and stood on her four hooves. She started doing the Pinkie promise motions. "Cross my heart and hope to-" she stopped as she felt a hoof on her mouth. Fluttershy was looking at her eyes with a pleading look. "No. That just m-makes me even more nervous" Fluttershy said. Rainbow Dash was confused at this. "Why?" She asked. Fluttershy gave out a sigh and started to explain. "Well you see, there is a reason I wanted you to come here. Nopony has to find out about this, especially Pinkie. Ever since I was a filly, I was shy. Then when I came to Ponyville, Pinkie made me realize I needed friends. At that time, you and I weren't close, so technically she was my first friend. I spended days ailing and laughing with her, that is until I came to realize that I was in love with my friend. I started to get more shy around her and hid my feeling ever since. Them when I heard she needed a true love, I felt my heart break into pieces, and I just can't tell her how I feel" Fluttershy said. Dash looke at her with a pitifu expression. She knew that feeling and she felt sorry that her friend had to go through the same stuff she did. Rainbow wasn't much for words, but for Fluttershy she was going to be gentle with her. "Look Fluttershy, I going to tell you something, but don't tell anypony else" she said. Fluttershy nodded with a confused look. Rainbow Dash continued. "You know that me and AJ have a thing going on, but it wasn't always like that. Actually, a few days ago I was in your state. I went to talk to some of our friends and they gave me advice. Now I'm going o give one to you, I'll only give you one advice. Don't wait, 'cause somepony's gonna take your place" Rainbow said. Fluttershy had an eyebrow raised, with an eyebrow raised. " No Rainbow, my place is already taken. Rock Candy bet me to it" she said. Inside, shs knew that even if Rock wouldn't have done anything, wouldn't have a chance. Pinkie saw her as a friend, nothing else. "No. Pinkie hasn't said anything yet, so you still have a shot" Rainbow said. Just then, a scream was heard from the cave. It was a over dramatic scream that anyone would recognize as Rarity's. Both if them flew over, just in time to see the scene before them. Rarity was in the floor with wide eyes. She has blood in her hooves and was laying on the floor panting. Rainbow quickly went to her side, while Fluttershy went to find the others, who were battling the Doozies away from them. It was no use, Rarity was far too injured to go on. She smiled and whispered to Dash's ear. "I'll be back after this chaos is over. Lay me here and save the rest" she said with a final breath. Tears were stinging Rainbow's eyes, but faded knowing Rarity would be back. Fluttershy looked over her shoulder, to see that Rainbow shook her head. Fluttershy had tears in her eyes and kept on running toward their friends. Twilight spotted them and with her magic, twisted a Doozies head and it died instantly. Rainbow instinctively, went over to help Applejack. This Doozy though, seemed to be stronger than the others. It tackled Applejack, Rainbow jumped on its back trying to get it off of AJ. While, she was at it, the creature was biting AJ. Applejack didn't scream or cry, she just slowly received her fate. Dash noticed what was happening below her and with anger, she bucked the Doozy's face. The creature slapped Rainbow and she fell rolling, until she hit a rock. She reached back to touch the back of her head, only to find her head bleeding. She had a look of horror, when she saw what the Doozy had done to Applejack. This time though, she cried and crawled to AJ's side. "I-I'm sorry AJ , I couldn't save you" she said weeping. Slowly, her vision became blurry and she couldn't hear or think anymore. She knew what was happening, even for a little while she would see Applejack again. She moved closer to Applejack and smelled her mane, one final time.The last thing she saw,was her friends running towards them, and the lights went out.
"RAINBOW, AJ!" Twilight said running to them. Applejack's family, Pinkie, Rockie and Fluttershy, were behind her. Fluttershy couldn't take it anymore and cried. She couldn't believe that in three days, she had lost 3 friends. Applebloom may have been small and naïve, but she knew that her sister was long gone. She started crying with Fluttershy, until Big Mac spoke. "My sister wouldn't want us to be crying, neither would Rainbow. They would probably tell us to suck it up" he said, wiping a tear. They rest did the same, drying away their tears. Granny Smith, who was staring at her granddaughter and marefriend, straighten herself up and followed the rest. They knew that since they were dead, nobody would get near the des bodies. They headed out the cave, and looked at how everything ha changed. The ponies had to travel all the way to the Everfree forest to get back to town. They didn't know what they were doing anymore, only that the cave wasn't safe anymore. "Pinkie?" Twilight asked. Pinkie wasn't paying attention, instead focused in the road. "Hmm?" Pinkie said. "When Rock kissed you, how did you feel?" Twilight asked with a blush. The pink pony stared at her before answering. "I didn't real anything, except being flattered"she answered. Twilight knew that the pony spoke truthfully, but there was a question in her head since the kiss. Even if she knew the answer, she had to ask. "Do you think you can give her a chance?"she asked. "No Twilight. I wouldn't be happy with somepony I don't love" she said in a whisper. Even if they were whispering and the others were ahead of them, they still had to be careful with their tone. "But why? Can't you do it for us? We care about you Pinkie, we want you to be happy, but this rest in your hooves" Twilight said raising her tone a little. "Well I'm sorry Twilight but I can't really do anything about it. I know this is all in me, but it's not my fault I can't decide" Pinkie said also raising her voice. This caught the attention of the ones ahead of them. "We are losing the ones we care about because you can't decide? Decide what? You have the invitation wide open and your refusing it! What's wrong with you Pinkie?!" Twilight shouted. Pinkie stared at her with shock. This irritated Pinkie, and Twilight knew it. "Twilight I don't care what you think or say. I'm not changing my mind, only because you say so! It hurts to see my friends die in front of me, but I can't do anything about it. This isn't a happily ever after story that your used to reading!" she shouted. By then, the rest had arrived at the scene. Rock Candy felt guilty for causing two good friends to argue. She bit her lip trying to hold back the tears, of hearing Pinkie not returning her feelings. "She did, she gave you an opportunity in her heart. At least you can give her a chance" Twilight said. This time though, Pinkie actually thought about it. Sure she could give a chance, but she wasn't sure how long it would take. When Pinkie woke up, she rubbed her head. Looking around she spotted her friends all around her, dead. She didn't know how she survived, maybe the Doozies must have thought she was dead. Crawling over to Applebloom, she cried. She was so small, she didn't deserve to die like this. For the first time in years, Pinkie felt alone. Everyone she cared for was dead because of her. What else was there to live for? There was a sound, followed by footsteps. Pinkie heard a beautiful voice in the distance. One she thought didn't exist, but she had heard it before. But where? She slowly climbed over a hill of rocks and listened to the lyrics of a song. I fell in love with you a few days after we met. I couldn't look at you in the face, I kept repeating to myself that I couldn't do this. Today, I watched you die, I wanted it to be in an old cottage. You, me and our little foals but I guess life isn't of wants but of needs. I- The voice trailed off, it was the voice of a mare crying. Pinkie had never heard a voice with so much emotion and this sent her heart soaring. And for the first time, she could actually name this feeling. Love. She was about to go running towards the mare, to kiss her and to thank, when she stopped on her tracks. From far away, she could see the silhoutte of her best friend.
"Fluttershy?" Pinkie asked. The yellow pony's head went straight up and looked around for the voice. "Pinkie,is it really you?" she asked, touching Pinkie's face. She took her hooves off and looked nervously at the pink pony. "Yeah, it's me, hey listen I have a question for you" Pinkie asked. Fluttershy nodded for her to proceed. "Who was that song for?" Pinkie asked. She really didn't know the answer, it could have been anybody.No I'm not ready for this, she may hate me Fluttershy thought.She stared at Pinkie's eyes,She'll understand her mind repeated in her head. "It w-was for you" she said. She felt how all those years of her constant crying to sleep, faded away. Fluttershy looked at Pinkie to find an odd expression. She wasn't angry, she had a smile on. This confused Fluttershy a little and decided to let it go. "I have to get going" Fluttershy said, wanting to run and hide, so Pinkie wouldn't see her. "Do you now?" she heard Pinkie's voice, getting close to her with every word. "I didn't want to say anything, but that song gave me the shivers. The way you spoke like that of me, I've never heard something quite like you described it. I realized feelings that had been buried inside of me for a while, now I know what they are. I fell for you Flutters, and I trust you to take good care of me" Pinkie said with a smile. She grabbed Fluttershy's head and neared it closer to hers. Fluttershy's eyebrow raised at this, her heart beat increased and her breathing faltered. "What are you doing?" Fluttershy asked hesitantly, before Pinkie's lips met hers. Timed stopped for both of them. both focused only on the pony before them. It lasted only for a few seconds, but it seemed liked minutes. "Does that answer your question?" Pinkie said with a grin. Fluttershy didn't know why, but she felt the need for more. "Yes" she managed to say. At that moment, a powerful wind hit them and they went rolling down, until they stopped to watch. Every single body, even the ones far away from them, began to levitate. They came to a stop in front of the the two ponies and everything was quiet for a few seconds. Suddenly, a loud thunder gained their attention to the sky, that was a shade of yellow. Slowly, small pink drops of water fell, each one settling on a pony's body. Another thunder made the ponies wake up. As soon as they all saw the couple looking at them with tears in their eyes, they smiled in return. Twilight, who was a little confused, approached them. "So, all along it was Fluttershy" she asked looking at the way Pinkie had her arm around Fluttershy's shoulder. They both smiled at each other, and looked at their friend. "Yeah Twi, and you know what they most awesome thing was. That I didn't even know it, until she sang a song about me. Can you believe it Twilight, I had the answer with me all along, now I'm sooo happy to be with her" Pinkie said returning to her usual self. In the distance, they could see the Doozies all banish and turned to confetti. "I'm so happy for both of you" she said hugging them. "Thank you, Twilight" Fluttershy said. The rest of her friends, came over and stopped at the sight of Fluttershy. They all seemed surprised that it was Fluttershy. Rainbow, who was busy kissing Applejack, went to congratulate her friends. "You go,Shy!" she said. Fluttershy blushed a little and hugged her. "Thank you Rainbow, but I wouldn't have done it without you" she said. Pinkie looked at them confused before talking. "Wait, you knew about this?" Pinkie asked the pegasus. Rainbow looked sheepishly at her. "Yeah... I kinda found out a couple of minutes before I died" she said. Pinkie shrugged and let it pass. "Come on guys! Let's go to Sugar Cube Corner and paaartty!" Pinkie said beaming. They all followed and laughed along with her, with Pinkie walking closely to her marefriend.
"TWILIGHT!" Fluttershy yelled. Twilight ran to her friends voice, with everything to get her ready. "I'm coming! Okay, I'm here, now...ugh I don't know where to start. I forgot to get my book, I'll go get it and comeback,sound good?" she said. Fluttershy frowned and yelled one more time. "NO! RARITY IS NOT HERE AND I HAVE TO GET READY!" she said before regretting it. Her other friends had just arrived at the scene and laughed of how ridiculous Fluttershy looked yelling like that. "Chill out,Shy" Rainbow said amused. "I'm heeree!" Rarity said in a sing-song voice. Everyone only stared at her, as she grabbed some supplies from the table. "What? I had to get Pinkie ready first" she stated. Fluttershy calmed herself down and relaxed on the chair. The rest of the friends got out, leaving the two ponies alone. Rarity started to comb Fluttershy's hair,leaving it smooth. "Rarity, can I ask you something?" Fluttershy asked. "Of course, darling" Rarity said. "What if I make a fool of myself up there? When I'm walking down the aisle, I fall, I trip or what happens if I step on my dress. I can't go there,I just can't!" the pegasus said panicking. "Fluttershy, nothing is going to ruin your special day. I even made the dress a little shorter, so you can't trip. Trust me darling, you'll make every head turn to see you walk down the aisle like a fairy tale princess" Rarity said calming her down. She did calm down and imagined herself walking up to see the mare she loved. Rarity finished Fluttershy's mane. Her mane was left down, curled and adorned with a braided crown and flower petals. The petals were two colors, yellow and pink matching her mane. Next, she applied makeup to Fluttershy's face. She really didn't need a lot of make up, only eyeliner, a tiny bit of eye shadow and a little bit lipstick. Finally, the dress. Made of the finest silk Rarity could think of, white with pearls running along the collar and with added shimmer all over the dress. Fluttershy had chosen to be a simple dress, rather than an exaggerated design. "I'm doone! What do you think?" Rarity said. She turned Fluttershy around so she could see her master piece, Fluttershy did a double take as she saw her reflection. She was beautiful, she felt confident, strong and brave. "Wow,Rarity. I don't know what to say" she said. "A thank you would be nice" the unicorn said with a grin. "Thank you" she said simply. "Now, let's go before Pinkie Pie gets worried" Rarity said with a smile.

The flower girls, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Applebloom were first in line. Secondly, the maid of honor being Rarity. Spike was the ring bearer and the rest were there to be with the couple on their special day. "Don't worry, Fluttershy. Remember what I told you, you'll be great" Rarity said before it was her turn to go. Fluttershy looked to her right looking at her companion, Big Mac. She had told him she needed someone to accompany her , since her father and mother had died a few years ago. Big Mac had agreed and was happy to attend. "I won't let you fall, if you do, I'll fall down with you" he said. Fluttershy smiled and the wedding march began. This was it, she entered the church to find everybody she knew there. As soon as she stepped inside, all eyes turned to her, like Rarity had told her they would. Looking out front, she saw the mare she loved, jumping up and down excitedly, much to Fluttershy's embarrassment. She had a dress almost identical to Fluttershy's, but with small pebbles and more yellowish in her collar. Fluttershy couldn't help but look nervously side to side. With her friends words, she walked down the aisle, until Big Mac came to a stop in front of the altar. He gave Fluttershy a kiss on the cheek and a wink to Pinkie. They both smiled and looked in front were Princess Celestia was at. "Fillies and Gentlecolts, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Whom does not which for these two to get married, speak now or forever hold your peace" Celestia said. Nobody moved a muscle. "Continuing with the ceremony, I'll try to make this quick, do you Pinkie Pie take Fluttershy as your wife?"The princess said. Pinkie Pie who had been distracted on Fluttershy's flower petals, turned her attention to the Princess. "Of coourse, I mean if I didn't want to marry her I wouldn't have asked to be my wife. I remember that day like it was yesterday, Fluttershy had just gotten out of the shower and I-" she was interrupted by Celestia, who coughed and gestured the other ponies behind them. They were all confused at first, but laughed soon after, except for Fluttershy who was blushing. "And do you Fluttershy, take Pinkie Pie as your wife?" Princess Celestia said. Fluttershy smiled looking at Pinkie's blue eyes. "Yes" she said loud enough for everyone to hear. Pinkie and Fluttershy then exchanged rings. "I now pronounce you wife and wife, you may kiss the bride" Celestia stated. Everybody clapped at the newly wedded couple as they kissed and forget what was around them, just like their first kiss.
